For my birthday my brother kindly gave me a £50 voucher for Debenhams, he’s awesome like that! I have been looking over the Debenhams website for nearly a fortnight now and haven’t really settled on anything that has made me even use a fraction of the amount on the voucher. I have seen things, I won’t lie… But just nothing where I have said out loud, “Oh my God I must buy this thing right now!” which for me is strange. I don’t know if I’m getting older, or because I am really wanting to get my deposit saved up for a house. Either way… I like it!
So I thought I would scour the Debenhams website for what goodies I could spend my £50 on. Some of them will be the full £50, or just over, whilst others will be below that. All items I’ll be mentioning won’t be in the sales… Unless the odd one slips in… We shall see!
- MAC Cosmetics Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in shade Oh Lady – £21.00 (link)
When I first heard about MAC bringing out a liquid lipstick, I was pretty damn excited. During 2015 my love for liquid lipsticks has grown, and I know in 2016 it’ll just grow stronger. MAC being one of my favourite brands for lipsticks, I knew I had to pick one of these up, however when I looked at the shades I wasn’t really amazed by any of them. There isn’t anything special there to me, but MAC isn’t exactly a brand like Jeffree Star Cosmetics that bring out blues, greens, etc. This being said, there is one shade that stands out to me, which is Oh Lady. It’s described as a deep wine, which is my kind of shade! It reminds me of a more pink shade of Rebel when I’ve seen it swatched. I definitely want to try this on before I buy it, as for £21.00 it’s not cheap. I don’t mind paying for quality, but from reviews, a lot of people are saying brands such as Jeffree Star Cosmetics, and Anastasia Beverly Hills are much better quality, for a cheaper price tag.
- Clinique Sweet Pots Lip Gloss in shade Velvet Red – £15.00 (link)
I heard about these coming out months ago from British Beauty Blogger and since then I have been eagerly waiting for them to come out so I can have a look and see what they’re all about. I really like Clinique, they’re a naturally and fragrance free beauty brand, which means it’s perfect for sensitive skin like mine. What makes this lip product even nicer is that it’s a 2-in-1 product, one side is a sugar scrub to create soft, smooth lips, and the other side being a tinted moisturising balm. Thus making it a nice treat on other days when I don’t want to wear drying lipsticks, or liquid lipsticks for word or for general. I just want to swatch this before I buy it, just incase I have anything like it already, for example my Korres Lip Butter. We shall see!
- Levi’s Blue Denim Shirt Dress – £80.00 (link)
Denim dresses have been in style for years, and if there is a brand who can make one the best, it has got to be Levi’s. I’ve only ever owned two pairs of Levi’s jeans but I loved and still love one pair so much. They’re comfortable, and stylish. Yes they are pretty damn expensive but worth every penny. This denim dress is very expensive indeed at £80.00 but with the voucher it would only cost me £30.00 which isn’t so bad. When I showed this to my boyfriend he wasn’t too keen, but I suggested that I could team it with a belt around the middle, and my Dr Martens boots and he said it would work that way. This is something I would definitely have to try on if I went for it… It is one of these pieces where it’ll either work, or it won’t. I would rock this from spring to winter in various different ways!
- H! by Henry Holland Black Fox Print Jersey Dress – £25.00 (link)
This dress is right up my street, and very me! Why? Well it’s covered in foxes, so why wouldn’t I like it. To be honest I scrolled past this so many times and didn’t even notice that it was covered in foxes. I’m ashamed of myself for that! Anyway… I don’t need any more dresses, but with how cute this looks I don’t know if I could pass it up. I would team this up with my parka for cold winter days, and my Dr Martens boots. It’s just a simple dress really, with a cute pattern. Cannot go wrong!
- Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in shade Venom – £15.50 (link)
I remember reading a review for this lipstick and instantly falling in love with the vampy purple shade. I love colours like this, and love rocking them because no a lot of people can. I can’t really rock nude shades, but bolder ones I can. Woohoo! I’ve heard nothing but good about the Urban Decay lipsticks, I’ve never owned one so I would love to finally have one, especially being a shade like this.
- Mantaray Ladies Navy Fox Dial Watch – £25.00 (link)
Again, I love foxes so I literally get like a magpie is to shiny things when I eye up fox related items. I don’t need a new watch, but this one is adorable with the cute little foxy on the face. It’s also navy and gold, two colours which would go and work perfectly with my Michael Kors bag, which is also navy and gold. I would have to save this and see if it went cheaper, as I don’t particularly want or need a new watch, and if I do plan to get a new one I would like an Olivia Burton watch.
Not a super long list for this post, but to be honest there isn’t really much I am after right now. I was spoilt rotten at Christmas, and then I had my birthday a few weeks later. I can see me using my voucher on a rainy day when I need to treat myself to something special.
If you had a £50 Debenhams voucher, what would you spend it on? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!
Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re all well.
I need some of those MAC Liquid Lipcolours in my life! And that watch is a must for you me thinks, without a doubt!

They do look good! Just a shame there isn’t more a variety shade wise… Or anything a little bit more unique than what they offer in their normal lipsticks.
