My Favourite Pokemon

I have never ever EVER thought about making a post like this until recently when I read Olivia’s post over at Dungaree’s & Doughnuts (link to her blog here) about her favourite Pokemon.

Regular readers of my blog will know how much I LOVE Pokemon. I’m 26 by the way people… I should really act my age and be into adult things such as interior design, but meh that’s boring. 😛

So due to this love I thought I would give this sort of post a go myself and talk about my favourite Pokemon. There’s probably too many to mention, but here’s my top 6 that I would have in my party!

• Mew

This is by far my favourite Pokemon! I remember when the original games came out and it was the holy grail if you managed to get a Mew. My cousin helped me get a Mew of my own, and it’s on one of my newer games now. Crazy, huh? I just love the look of Mew, the way it fights on the games, and just how damn cute it is. I can’t say I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like Mew!

• Eevee

Another one of my favourite Pokemon, in fact the whole Eeveelutions are my favourites in the whole game… But it would have been pretty boring having all of the Eevee Pokemon on this list. It reminds me of a dog crossed with a fox, which is obviously what it’s meant to be. Considering both of those are my favourite animals, I fell in love with Eevee from the start. So I love this little cutie.

• Dragonite

I always wanted a Dragonite when I owned Pokemon Red, but I was never able to get one. When I was older a bit more savvy about Pokemon I was able to finally get myself one, and like the original Mew, this is on one of my newer games too! I just love what a strong Pokemon it is, whilst looking adorable too. What caused me to fall in love with this Pokemon was in the Pokemon Movie when the Dragonite arrives and delivers a letter to Ash and the gang. SO CUTE!

• Ampharos

The only Pokemon on this list who isn’t from the original 151! OMG! Ahem… Ampharos is beautiful! I remember in Silver getting a Mareep and saying how cute it was, only for it to evolve into an even cuter form as Flaaffy! I love electric Pokemon too, and as everyone loves Pikachu I thought this sheep Pokemon made a nice change. I’ve recently eyed up a cute little plushie from the Pokemon Centre in the form of this cutie that I want to pick up… Might have to soon. 😛

• Cubone

This is probably an odd choice going by all the “cute” Pokemon I have chosen beforehand, and which I’m sure a lot of girls and women alike flock towards too. But I love Cubone. He is cute to me, and I just love the idea of its back story too. How it places its mother’s skull on its head. There are a lot of fan made theories made up that Cubone is the baby of Kangaskhan and I would like to think this is true… But sadly I very much doubt it is. 😦

• Vaporeon

My final choice in this list, and of course it had to be one of the Eeveelutions! My favourite being Vaporeon. I love water Pokemon, alongside fire, and they’re usually my first Pokemon of choice with my starters. If there is a term for someone who has a weird love of water, then I am one of those people. I love the way it looks, feels, etc, so of course I also love mermaids, and anything water related. So Vaporeon is a strong choice for me.

So those were my favourite Pokemon! I don’t know if I’ll make another post if I think of more I wish to mention. I’m sure if I do it’ll be around on my blog soonish.
