Wish List Wednesday – Nendoroid

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means? Oh yes it’s wish list Wednesday time! This time I’ll be joined by Dane to bring you our Nendoroid wish list. As readers will know we LOVE Nendoroid figures so much that we decided to make a wish list for them after talking about it for ages.

As we have so many we both want we decided to do a wish list each! Dane will go first with talking about *number* Nendoroids he really wants! Then of course I will do the same. 😛

• Fullmetal Alchemist Edward and Alphonse – Release date TBC.

Fullmetal Alchemist is one of my favourite anime, including the original and Brotherhood. Good Smile Company have released petites in the past and although they would be cool to own I could never bring myself to buy them whenever they appeared on eBay in the hopes of some full size Nendoroids and thankfully they have! Having Edward and Alphonse would be a dream come true, I want Edward more whilst Natalee wants Alphonse more.

• Death Note L and Ryuk – Discontinued.

Death Note is a series I have loved for many years, since collecting Nendoroids I am always looking out for these two. These ones are one of the first Nendoroids to be released, this means they are incredibly rare to find. I even made the unfortunate error of buying a fake Ryuk from eBay as it seemed real, only to find that it was a fake, this has made me very wary of any future purchases. Due to how old they are I find it hard to trust any sellers as Good Smile’s quality has improved over the years and the packaging is more laden with holographic material and it can be very hard to discern a real from fake.

• Attack on Titan Erwin – Release date TBC.

Erwin from Attack on Titan is another one that is a must as I very nearly have a full collection, the only one I am missing is Cleaning Levi which is quite rare to find nowadays. It seems to be more popular in America for some reason. It will be interesting to see what extras they have to accompany this figure so we will have to wait and see how he turns out.

• KonoSuba Megumin – Available here to buy for £43.99.

It has been a while since I have watched an anime that has made me laugh and kept entertained as much as KonoSuba. The characters are all horrible and selfish people, but you like them and that is its charm. Megumin is a young arch wizard whose only spell is exploooooooooooosion! Which drains all her energy and leaves her helpless and immobile. They already have the Aqua nendoroid out but it is sold out everywhere, they are due to release Darkness soon and can only expect them to release the protagonist Kazuma soon. It is a great anime that has seen a massive surge in popularity.

• Naruto Shippuden  Naruto Uzumaki – Available here to buy for £44.99.

It wasn’t until I got back into anime that I started watching Naruto and it is a very simple anime to like. Although the anime is pretty much a constant filler the characters grow on you, love it or hate it you have to admit Naruto is a part of anime and manga’s history. I would like to get all three characters the have announced but Naruto is definitely a must for me, but of course I would have to start collecting them with the star himself!

• Sword Art Online Titania Asuna – Discontinued.

Sword Art Online is one of my favourite anime series and reminds me of the summer when I was studying my masters as I watched it whilst doing uni work with Dane. Although I love the original Asuna and Kirito that we own, I think I love the Titania version of Asuna more. I mean she looks so beautiful doesn’t she? She’s discontinued sadly and will only be available second hand or new with a bit of dust gathered on the box. Either way I always keep my eye out for her on eBay as well as Nendoroid for sale related forums and groups. I was tempted to buy a fake version of her years ago but left it. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!

• Frozen Anna – Discounted.

For my birthday this year Dane bought me the Frozen Elsa Nendoroid and I love her so much! I always wanted Anna the most out of the two as she looks adorable, but I always wanted them both anyway. Sadly whilst Elsa is still available to buy on many places online, Anna isn’t. I keep my eye out for her on eBay all the time, as I want them both together in our cabinet.

• Star Wars Boba Fett – Available to buy here for £43.99.

I don’t know why but Boba Fett is one of my favourite Star Wars characters, alongside R2D2… I think it’s due to the way he looks and his calm and collected attitude. The Nendoroid version of him looks beautiful. He even comes with a carbon-freeze version of Han Solo! Granted he is a very simple Nendoroid to look at but I think that’s what makes him so beautiful to me. The details on his armour is one of my favourite things. I’d make sure to have him standing proudly next to Darth Vader.

• Yuri on Ice Yuri Katsaki – Available to buy here for £44.99.

Yuri on Ice grew really popular towards the end of 2016 and I didn’t understand why until I watched the anime for myself. It’s an amazing anime, although it is VERY gay. Of course when Good Smile announced they would create Nendoroid’s of both the Yuri’s and Victor I knew I would need to buy them! Of course the first Nendoroid out of the three to be announced was Yuri and oh my he is so cute. Of course I want Victor too. I don’t know when I’ll be getting these, but hopefully before they sell out. I’m surprised they haven’t yet to be perfectly honest.

• Pokemon Red – Available from Pokemon Centre Japan.

You know what sucks the most about this Nendoroid? It is on its second release and STILL it is only available to buy in Japan. FUCK. FUCK. FUCK!!! I want this Nendoroid so damn much but he is just so hard to get hold of in the UK and even when I do “find” one on eBay they turn out to be big fat fakes. URGH!!! I have someone in Japan who may be able to get me this cutie but we shall see. I know it’ll cost me a bomb though, which sucks but I’m sure he would be worth it. I want all of the Pokemon related Nendoroids, especially the recent Ash and Pikachu one they announced. DAYUM there goes my money!

• Vocaloid GUMI – Discontinued.

This is probably one of the most random Nendoroids I want and it’s also one of the hardest to get a hold of due to that and how old it is. It’s from back in 2013 so it’s one of the first ones. Once I found her for sale on eBay and didn’t end up bidding on her due to saving money. This is by far one of the biggest Nendoroid buying moments of my life. She is incredibly hard to find as many people don’t have a clue who she is. She’s in the same sort of field as Hatsune Miku but not as popular. I love the GUMI songs people make and I find her voice sounds more realistic and original. Gosh I sound like a RIGHT nerd… ANYWAY! The figure itself it worth a lot of money if anyone were to resell her. So it’s a shame I missed out really. There is always next time though I guess.

So yes that was our wish lists for Nendoroids at the moment! We want more than that of course but we just put some of our top choices on here. We really need to do a post about our Nendoroids, which I’m sure we will do very soon. It’s Dane’s birthday in less than a month now and he may be in for a surprise…

We also recently ordered the Deadpool Nendoroid which is scheduled to be released at the end of this month. AHHH!!! I cannot wait to be honest as he is so damn cute.
