November Favourites ’22

Holy shit guys, we are overdue a blog post, let alone another favourites! I’m wary now that I’ve been M.I.A. for almost a month and I do have my reasons why. I thought I’d write my favourites from November, whilst I also share where I went.

November was a mad month, especially towards the end of it, with some highs and lows to finish it off. First of all, I had Covid. Right at the end of November I tested positive and it sucked. I’m negative now, but I still have a cough (and sometimes head cold symptoms) that I’m just waiting to clear out of my system. Hopefully in time for Christmas…

It was my first time with Covid and I hope the last realistically. Self-isolating was the worst for me as it meant I was trapped in one room (two if you include occasional bathroom trips) relying on Dane to look after me and a crappy airbed for comfort of an evening. I didn’t enjoy it and it really did start to give me really bad mental health issues towards the end. The sickness itself was meh. I had a really bad temperature and all around just didn’t feel great, I just wanted to lie on the sofa or in bed all day, which I mostly did the weekend I found out I had it.

As I’ve been sick both at the end of October and the end of November, I really hope December doesn’t decide to join in too. In 2021 I was really sick at the end of December/start of January and that was vile, a lot worse than Covid, so I’m praying not to be sick like that again ever. 😛

Anyhoo, enough of the bad and onto the highs! As we all know, Pokemon came out mid November and since it released I’ve been playing it on and off, and thoroughly enjoying it, may I add! I’ll speak more about this later in the post. I also went to see Electric Callboy in Nottingham, which was amazing! Again, I’ll speak more about this later on in the post!

With no time like the present, let me get onto all my favourite from November, even with sodding Covid towards the end. 😛

Beauty – Lime Crime Wet Cherry Lip Gloss in Black Cherry.

With my lipstick journey I’ve gone from wearing lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, tints, and of late glosses. This has gone around full circle ever since I was old enough to be gifted make up as a young teenager, and lip gloss has made a come back for me! I find if I just want a bit of colour, lip glosses are great for that, alongside lip tints! I watched a beauty account on Instagram showing off some gorgeous black cherry glosses, so I decided to get myself one! I own one of the Lime Crime wet cherry lip glosses, which I love, so I thought I’d get the black cherry one. Prior to getting sick with Covid I was wearing this on a daily basis, as I just loved how light you could wear the colour, as well as how buildable it can be. I highly recommend the Lime Crime lip glosses if you want a gloss with some good colour, smells yummy and isn’t sticky!

Movie – Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl.

Technically this film classes as December, but I thought I’d mention it for November, because why not! We have been waiting YEARS to watch this movie, and finally we were able to yesterday. We’re big fans of the anime Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, so back in 2019/2020 when we heard about there being a film made of a sequel to the anime, we wanted to watch it. However, it’s only seemingly become available to us in the UK more so recently, and even then it’s only through someone uploading the movie onto YouTube. We watched it and it was such a beautiful film. If you’ve watched the anime and would love to know what happens next, make sure to go and watch the movie too. If you search for it on YouTube, you should find it straight away. I don’t want to link on my blog as realistically it being on YouTube isn’t the best.

May be an image of one or more people and people standing

Music – Electric Callboy.

So, as I mentioned at the start of the post, towards the end of November me and Dane went to see Electric Callboy in Nottingham. It was by far one of the best gigs I’ve been to in my life to date. I originally said it was in my top 5, but now it’s in my top 3!!! The whole vibe of the show was incredible, everyone was clearly there for a good time and everyone did just that. Each track they played from old and newer stuff got everyone going mad, including us of course! We both had a sore throats after attending the gig as we were both screaming the lyrics, and our bodies ached from dashing and moshing as much as we could. We got decent places to stand too as we started queuing quite early, so we were on the balcony, right at the front, which we loved! We’ve already said we want to go and see them again, as we had such a blast! I’d love to book to go and see them in Europe somewhere, or even London at some point next year, but we’ll see! Another cool thing is you can kind of see us on the photo that they took at the end of the gig! We’re on the left of the photo and I’m holding my bright yellow rain coat… 😛

Game – Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

As I mentioned at the start of the post, we got our copies of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and whilst we haven’t been binge playing them, I have really been enjoying playing Violet! Sword and Shield are both games I’ve enjoyed, but found you could complete the story in a day. However, Scarlet and Violet is, to me, a little overwhelming in the sense there is so much more to do! You have the gyms, titans and star challenges, as well as the usual filling up the Pokedex from catching and breeding, as well as battling with people. There’s A LOT to do in Scarlet and Violet and due to that, I really love it! I’m enjoying playing it as and when I want as well, instead of feeling like I need to pick it up to play most evenings. I wanted to show off the cute pictures I got of me and Fidough on my first day of playing. Fidough is for sure my favourite Pokemon to come out of Scarlet and Violet and I can’t wait to get some Fidough merch from the Pokemon Center due to this!

Black Friday

Did I go spend happy over Black Friday? Yep, I certainly did! If I’m honest I didn’t just shop for me either, I did save quite a lot of money on Dane’s Christmas presents, which was incredibly handy as it meant I could spoil him (and me) more. 😛 Black Friday happened when I was really sick with Covid, and not only did I go spend happy for Dane, but I definitely did for me too as I was feeling sorry for myself. As you can see, I bought quite a few bits and pieces from various places! I decided to get some more goods from Lumichee, Adorabubbleshop, as well as Tomodachi! They all had vouchers for Black Friday, which I just couldn’t pass up! I’ll be looking to write a blog post all about Lumichee in January, as well as showing you guys the volume 4 pins from Tomodachi, as I spoke about them at the start of the year!

Wales trip

I’ve been so excited to talk about our trip to Wales, but due to being so quiet on here this is the first chance I’ve had to really talk about it! At the start of November we went to Wales for a weekend to a shepherds hut on a farm in North Wales. The hut itself was absolutely gorgeous and everything we wanted! We made sure to book it in the autumnal months too so we could make the most of some of the features of the hut, which included underfloor heating, a log fire indoor, a firepit outside, as well as a hot tub! We definitely made the most out of all these features of the hut, even though the weather was raining and vile! We managed to dodge the rain every time we wanted to use the hot tub! Whilst we were in North Wales, we ventured to have a go at clay throwing, where we made a pot and a mug each! We are yet to receive these in the post, but as soon as we do, I’ll make sure to show them you guys!

I really can’t wait to venture on a holiday or short trip with Dane again, I really loved our weekend in Wales.

We made a Christmas advent calendar!

Finally I wanted to quickly show you guys the advent calendar we made this year! This project was ongoing for about a month, and even came with us on our trip to Wales, as we had planned to carry on with it there, but never got around to it. We finally finished it on Saturday and we both love what we have done with it! We kinda wanted it to be like a gingerbread house, but it’s not really become that. It’s definitely become our own unique thing and we love it to death! We’ve hidden some of the images of the doors as these are inspired by rooms in our home, so we’d like to try and keep this private. I also added some stickers from Pikarar as they just look so cute and it seemed the right time to use them! We picked our calendar up from Hobbycraft to decorate and it was so much fun for us to do together. If anything, we’ve said how we want to do more crafting together!

So there we have it! A long overdue blog post from me after almost a month and I think it falling around favourites time has worked out quite nicely.

I’d say sorry for being absent but, I’m not going to. This isn’t my job at the end of the day, it’s my hobby and one that just had to take a break whilst I was busy and sick. I do wonder if in the New Year how often I’ll write, in the sense of if I’m too busy, I’m not going to force anything, a choice I’m sure you guys won’t mind. 🙂

So, with that being said – how have you guys been the past month? Have you started your Christmas shopping? Bought any goodies during Black Friday sales? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’ve all been keeping well. 🙂

November Wish List ‘21

I still can’t believe it’s November already, let alone the end of the second week! This month is flying by and before we know it, it’ll be December. I need to start planning what I’m going to buy people for Christmas and whilst this year doesn’t seem too bad for ideas, I do feel like I’m kind of out of ideas(?).

This months with list was pretty hard for me to put together as I really struggled! Four of the items on this list are either items I’ve order, or already pre-ordered. I think I struggled due to Christmas coming up. I’m not really buying a fat lot right now, I need to keep items available for potential Christmas present ideas for Dane.

This being said, some stuff on this list (that aren’t orders/pre-orders) are things I’m hoping to buy at some point this month… We’ll see. 😛

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this months wish list hopefully shows off some items you guys may want to pick up too! 😀

  • Pokemon Funko Pop! Advent Calendar.

The first item on this months wish list and unfortunately… This is really hard to get hold of now. Putting this out there now for anyone who may ask later. This advent calendar was announced back in August and shortly after Pop In A Box UK popped it up for pre-order, which I jumped on before going to bed. When I woke up, Emily (Totally Emily) had mentioned that the advent calendar was no longer on the website… I was a bit worried and decided to drop an email to Pop In A Box UK to find out if my order was going to be cancelled. I’d not received confirmation of it, so I could only assume my order was okay. Later I found out that my order was safe, but the advent calendar had been taken down from the website due to how quickly it sold out! I’m due to get this in the post this month and I’m honestly so excited! I do love the Pokemon Funko Pop! figures, but I don’t want them at the same time. I only own the Mew Funko Pop! and that’s enough for me. With the little mini versions however, these will be cute to pop in displays in our office living room and bedroom, as well as stick on top of my desk monitor. 😛

  • Sugar Bunny Shop Santa’s Reindeer Wood Ornament Garland – (link)

This is a Christmas ornament I really wanted to buy last year, but never did due to the price of it. Christmas was expensive last year as I not only spoilt Dane, but myself with buying loads of stuff from American independent artists. This year both me and Dane have decided to do the house up as much as possible this year for Christmas, including popping some more lights up! Seeing as we’re thinking of doing the house up more Christmassy this year, a part of me wants to actually snag adorable AF reindeer wooden ornaments. I’d pop them on our fireplace, potentially with some battery operated fairy lights.

  • Persona 4 Golden Nendoroid P4G Hero Yu Narukami – (link)

I’m always excited for Nendoroid releases, especially when you’re counting down the months from pre-ordering. I’m a massive Persona 5 fan, and Persona 4 Golden is still a game I’m playing at the moment. I got stuck on a boss and I’ve been debating whether or not to restart that game… ANYWAY I couldn’t resist pre-ordering Yo Narukami, the hero in Persona 4/Persona 4 Golden. He won’t be going with my Persona 5 collection, but he’ll go in mine and Dane’s game Nendoroid section of our collection! I’ll make sure to show him off on Instagram when he arrives at the end of November. 😀

  • Isabelle Summer Outfit Amiibo – (link)

This is something I ordered last week when I ordered my Animal Crossing series 5 amiibo cards! As some of you may know, I’ve been collecting the Animal Crossing amiibo figures since the summer now and currently I only have two/three left to buy, Timmy & Tommy and Kicks, as well as Smash Isabelle if you want to include her. On places like CeX they’re selling the Isabelle summer outfit amiibo for £15.00, whereas the official Nintendo UK store sells this one for £10.99… So go figure. 😛 I waited to see if the series 5 amiibo cards would land on the Nintendo UK store, which they did so… Yeah I popped her into my basket too. 😛

  • Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl  – (link, link and link)

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!! November is an amazing month for games and I honestly cannot wait for this to come out next week, I just wish I was off work to play it all day. xD This being said, I’ll be spending all the weekend it’s out playing it. I bought both Diamond and Pearl, just so Dane can play Diamond if he wants to, but so far he isn’t fussed… Which is fine, I can keep Diamond for myself to grab any special Pokemon for Diamond, as well as the starter Pokemon. PLUS, if I wanted to stream myself playing one of the gen four remakes, I’d be playing Diamond. Pearl was my gen 4 game of choice (as well as Platinum) back in the day and I loved it so much, so I’m already excited about the nostalgia I’m going to feel again. 🙂 ALSO an FYI, I’m planning on writing next week about all the games that have come/coming out this month that I’m excited for and loving, so make sure to keep eyes peeled for that!

  • PVRIS Gig Tickets.

Finally, we have a random wish list item… But one I would really love to snag. When I moved to my current role at the start of 2019 I discovered PVRIS through listening to Kerrang! Radio during the working day, as well as driving to and from the office, and since then I’ve been in love. I missed seeing them in the UK when they did an intimate tour in 2020, so I’d love to finally go and see them next year! Why haven’t I ordered tickets then? Well, because I’m anxious. I’m anxious due to COVID and I don’t really know what the future holds? I’m seeing My Chemical Romance in May 2022 (just weeks after the PVRIS gig) but as I booked that back in January 2020, (when COVID wasn’t such a big thing) and how heart-breaking it was to get those tickets, I’m not willing to cancel the tickets for MCR. Thinking of it logically, I’d hate to get COVID from the PVRIS gig and then not be able to attend the MCR gig so… I doubt I’ll buy tickets unless it’s last minute, we’ll see.

So, there we have it guys, my wish list for November! I know it isn’t anything amazing, but with it being so close to Christmas, November is usually quite quiet.. Which is fair in every circumstance.

To think, the next wish list I’ll be writing will be for Christmas now! I seriously can’t believe how quickly the year has flown, it’s scary in a way, isn’t it?

What do you all have on your wish lists for this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below, I’m always intrigued at what people have on their wish lists too. 🙂

Until next time guys, I hope you’ve have a lovely week and take care!

October Wish List ’20

Can you believe it’s already the second week of October, because I can’t!

So far for me October hasn’t been the best of months for me and I can’t see it getting much better. I mentioned in my September favourites how I’d recently experienced loss and had been grieving.

I’m also mentally and physically tired all the time lately and I really need to have a break from everything. I’ve got myself some holiday coming up in November and December which I’m looking forward to.

As well as that, I’m also rather looking forward to Halloween at the end of the month. I don’t feel like I’ve ever been so excited for it previously and I’m not sure why… Last year we played D&D and dressed up as our characters, but this year I think I’m going to cook a yummy dinner, snuggle on the sofa with Dane and either play some scary games, or watch some horror movies/tv shows we’ve never watched before.

For now, I am here today with my wish list and I’m not going to lie… I really struggled. It took me some proper digging to come across the items this month. There’s even one Christmas item and items that I’ve already added onto my Christmas ideas list for Dane.

Did I just say the C word? Yep… 😛

  • Sugarbones Nooks Cranny Shopping Tote – (link)

Sugarbones always creates such lovely designs and this is one of them! As regular readers of my blog will know, I LOVE Animal Crossing and since March any Animal Crossing fan merchandise that comes out makes me so happy. I especially love this Nooks Cranny shopping tote as it’s adorable and would definitely be eye catching if I was to buy and use it out and about. The size of the bag looks HUGE as well so this would be perfect to take for shopping trips, whether it be for geeky goods, clothes or food. I missed out on buying this when it was launched a week or so. I’ve added it to my Christmas and birthday ideas list for Dane. 😛

  • Sugar Bunny Shop Doki Fox Chick Pile Sweatshirt – (link)

I LOVE Sugar Bunny Shop but in the seven plus years I’ve loved the brand I’ve only ever owned one thing, which is Doki Fox stickers… Which Dane bought me for our second Christmas together in 2014. Since then I have eyed up loads of cute Doki Fox goodies from the store but just never bought, usually due to charges to ship to the UK and the fear of customs charges too. However, I feel this sweatshirt would be worth it. Regular readers will know how much I love foxes, so this is a must for me! Doki Fox covered in the little chicks is adorable! I could imagine wearing this with leggings or mom jeans for a comfy weekend look. I would love for Dane to buy me this for Christmas… But if he doesn’t I’ll definitely end up buying it for myself! 😀

  • MelonDesignByEllen Halloween Ghost and Pumpkin Keyrings – (link) and (link)

I’ve actually ordered these since writing this blog post as they’re so bloody adorable and I couldn’t resist! I think these will be going on my car keys as I know they won’t get bashed around as much as my house keys will. Or maybe even one of my bags as a little charm? These are cute little Halloween ghost and pumpkin keyrings that are handmade by Ellen over at MelonDesign on Etsy. These were £10 each which I feel is such a great price when they’re made by hand! I honestly can’t wait for them to arrive and hope to show them to you at the end of the month… 😀

  • Mermazing Baths Advent Calendar – (link)

I know December is less than two months away BUT it’s good to be prepared when it comes down to advent calendars. As soon as they come out in the shops, me and Dane usually pick a chocolate one up for ourselves (each of course!) as they soon sell out, so we never want to miss out on getting something good. The same can be said for beauty advent calendars for me. In 2018 I owned so many it was crazy, but last year I only owned one. I’ve really gotten back into my bath and shower beauty and have discovered so many indie brands, including Mermazing Baths. They have an advent calendar out, which I’m definitely going to pre-order when I get paid at the end of the month.

  • CraftyWitch Craft Shop Ghost Tray Mould – (link)

If any of my readers follow me on Instagram and Twitter you may have seen that I’ve started to experiment with resin again. I had played with it back in March/April just after lockdown started but I stopped not long after. I recently bought some more moulds and Dane did too so we’ve both been having a play! I’ve really gotten into it and would love to make more in the future. However, I would also really love some more moulds to play with and potentially sell too! I’d love the ghost one shown as it would so much fun to play with and even have some in my house! I’d make some for me to keep things on, sell to friends and gift.

  • Teddy Fresh Color Block Hoodie – (link)

Finally we have an item on here that I really do want at the moment and that is one of the colour block hoodies from Teddy Fresh. If you haven’t heard of Teddy Fresh they are a brand by Hila Klein, who is also a co host on H3 Podcast on YouTube. This colour block hoodie has been spoken about loads lately due to H3 Podcast accusing someone of copying their hoodie… Which I agree with. Due to this I have been seeing the hoodie more and more lately and now I want it! The colour scheme is really cool and not like anything I own. It would be cool to have something like this in my wardrobe to wear around the house, as well as out and about. I have lived in hoodies throughout 2020 and this is no exception. It’s not a cheap hoodie to buy and ship to the UK… So this has definitely gone onto my Christmas/birthday list. I’m keeping my eye on a European store for this hoodie colour scheme to come back in stock, as well as places like eBay and Depop too. 🙂

So there you have it guys, those are my wish list items for October! I can’t see me buying from it now aside from the advent calendar. 🙂

What items do you guys have on your wish lists? Anything similar to myself? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time guys, I hope you all have a lovely weekend and take care. 🙂

2018 Christmas Advent Calendars You Should Buy!

December is now less than a month away and the closer it gets to the 1st December, the more people frantically run around the shops and online for advent calendars. Whether they be chocolate, tea, beauty or even alcohol everyone is after the perfect one for Christmas, not even just for themselves.

For years now I’ve always looked out for unique and amazing calendars that appeal to me and this year I feel like I’ve seen quite a few I’m keen on. So I thought I would share them on my blog.

I don’t care if people are still thinking, “Nat! It’s too early for Christmas!” Well no not really. It’s a month until December and people usually start opening advent calendars on the 1st so…

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this post! At the time of writing I’ll pop prices too, as well as links to the product.

ADVENT

  • Baylis & Harding Beauticology Special Delivery Red Calendar – £9.99 (link)

I actually heard about this advent calendar from someone I work with and it is RIGHT up my street! I love all the scents of the products in there such as peppermint swirl, candy cane and vanilla icing. The scent range actually reminds me of what The Body Shop are bringing out this year. I always eye up the Baylis & Harding stuff at Christmas and regret not getting anything, but I think I am going to treat myself to this this year. I mean, why the hell not?! Spoiler, I’ve already bought it! 😛

  • Cath Kidston Christmas Town House Advent Calendar – £40.00 (link)

The past year I’ve really grown to love Cath Kidston, after years of wondering what the hype around it was! I’ve been eyeing up the advent calendar they’re bringing out this year and I really like the look of this one, but I put that down to all the cute alpaca stuff they have in it. You get loads of different bits and pieces in this including body lotion, lip balm, hand cream, bathing salts, cuticle cream and body scrub. I just love all the different things you get! I’ve found this really cheap online so I may have to treat myself to it to have at work or something. I’ll see. This would make an amazing gift for a teeanger, or anyone who loves Cath Kidston.

  • The Body Shop 25 Days Of The Ehchanted Deluxe Advent Calendar – £65.00 (link)

This was one of the first advent calendars I saw this year and I was so close to ordering it, BUT urgh the price. It hurts my soul. I’ve never had a beauty advent calendar before and this year I felt like going all out, but not for almost £70! This looks so good though and has a large variety of products in, perfect for anyone who is looking for new products to try, or even people who want to try The Body Shop but aren’t sure where to start. I’m not a massive fan of some of the products in all The Body Shop advent calendars but I’d gift those items to people, my mom and my best friends being the main ones, you know like little stocking fillers! I may keep my eyes peeled when these go down in price to pick them up but I just can’t justify the price.

  • Disney Snow White 12 Days Beauty Advent Calendar – £14.00 down to £7.00 (link)

I saw this advent calendar a while ago when I was bored on my lunchbreak and was after an advent calendar. I know that this is aimed at children, but it just looks so basic and simple I love it! This would be great to give to a teenager or child 12 days before Christmas and for the price you could buy loads of them too! I may have to grab one of these at some point if I still feel like getting it. The items in the calendar have a fresh apple scent. You get a nice range of products in this like hand cream, body lotion, body wash, lip balm, bath fizzers, nail file and a body puff. This is more for children and teenagers.

  • MUGLER Angel Advent Calendar – £115.00 down to £103.50 (link)

This is definitely an advent calendar I’d love to buy but fuck me the price is crazy! This is something I’ll be keeping my eye on however as it’s just such a bargain for all the goodies you get. Angel was one of the first perfumes I owned and it was my mom who bought it for me. I don’t wear Angel as much as I used to for vairous reasons, mostly because I’m trying to use up my older stuff to make way for my favourite stuff. This is only for 12 days so I’d start it more towards Christmas. I just love all the little bits you get in here and especially the fact you get two refillable bottles, one in a 15ml and one in a 25ml! I’d gift my mom the latter as I have a refill size at 25ml already. I’m praying this goes down in price more as I really would like it, even after Christmas!

  • Baileys Advent Calendar – £18.00 down to £16.20 (link)

There’s nothing wrong with an alcohol advent calendar, but not when they cost a bloody fortune! This probably isn’t worth £18.00 when you can buy a bottle of Baileys for the same money. I like the idea of opening little minatures each day to pop in your coffee and hot chocolates! I’d want to pick this up for a cheaper price though, not going to lie.

  • M&S 12 Days Of Christmas Socks – £18.00 (link)

My manager at work actually found these and they’re such a unique and cute idea! I love the idea of opening a new pair of socks for 12 days, especially Christmas socks. I’m actually tempted to buy this as a gift for someone myself, but I’m unsure. BUT if you know someone who loves a good pair of socks, you could definitely pick this up for them. My favourite pair in the box is definitely the Christmas llama ones. 😛

  • I Love Christmas 12 Days Of Christmas Advent Calendar – £12.00 (link)

This is the last gift set on this list and it’s definitely a cute one, for an affordable price. This is definitely a great advent calendar to pick up for a child or a teenager due to how cutesy it is. Not only do I love all the kawaii animals on it, but I also love what you get inside the gift set itself! You get hand cream, bath salts, bath fizzers, a body puff, nail file, lip balm, body lotion and body wash. They’re all scents that are right up my street too! For £12.00 I feel like this is a complete bargain.

So those are my picks for advent calendars! I’m sure there are so many more out there that may appeal to loads of people, but these are the ones I like the most!

There are some really awesome advent calendars out there! This is the first time I’ll be treating myself to a nice advent calender too. I’ve already bought both me and Dane Reece’s Peanut Butter advent calendars and I’m so excited to open it. 😛

Are you or have you bought your an advent calendar yet? If so which one have you bought, or which one(s) are you planning to pick up? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week so far
