November Wish Listย โ€˜21

I still can’t believe it’s November already, let alone the end of the second week! This month is flying by and before we know it, it’ll be December. I need to start planning what I’m going to buy people for Christmas and whilst this year doesn’t seem too bad for ideas, I do feel like I’m kind of out of ideas(?).

This months with list was pretty hard for me to put together as I really struggled! Four of the items on this list are either items I’ve order, or already pre-ordered. I think I struggled due to Christmas coming up. I’m not really buying a fat lot right now, I need to keep items available for potential Christmas present ideas for Dane.

This being said, some stuff on this list (that aren’t orders/pre-orders) are things I’m hoping to buy at some point this month… We’ll see. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this months wish list hopefully shows off some items you guys may want to pick up too! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Pokemon Funko Pop! Advent Calendar.

The first item on this months wish list and unfortunately… This is really hard to get hold of now. Putting this out there now for anyone who may ask later. This advent calendar was announced back in August and shortly after Pop In A Box UK popped it up for pre-order, which I jumped on before going to bed. When I woke up, Emily (Totally Emily) had mentioned that the advent calendar was no longer on the website… I was a bit worried and decided to drop an email to Pop In A Box UK to find out if my order was going to be cancelled. I’d not received confirmation of it, so I could only assume my order was okay. Later I found out that my order was safe, but the advent calendar had been taken down from the website due to how quickly it sold out! I’m due to get this in the post this month and I’m honestly so excited! I do love the Pokemon Funko Pop! figures, but I don’t want them at the same time. I only own the Mew Funko Pop! and that’s enough for me. With the little mini versions however, these will be cute to pop in displays in our office living room and bedroom, as well as stick on top of my desk monitor. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Sugar Bunny Shop Santa’s Reindeer Wood Ornament Garland – (link)

This is a Christmas ornament I really wanted to buy last year, but never did due to the price of it. Christmas was expensive last year as I not only spoilt Dane, but myself with buying loads of stuff from American independent artists. This year both me and Dane have decided to do the house up as much as possible this year for Christmas, including popping some more lights up! Seeing as we’re thinking of doing the house up more Christmassy this year, a part of me wants to actually snag adorable AF reindeer wooden ornaments. I’d pop them on our fireplace, potentially with some battery operated fairy lights.

  • Persona 4 Golden Nendoroid P4G Hero Yu Narukami – (link)

I’m always excited for Nendoroid releases, especially when you’re counting down the months from pre-ordering. I’m a massive Persona 5 fan, and Persona 4 Golden is still a game I’m playing at the moment. I got stuck on a boss and I’ve been debating whether or not to restart that game… ANYWAY I couldn’t resist pre-ordering Yo Narukami, the hero in Persona 4/Persona 4 Golden. He won’t be going with my Persona 5 collection, but he’ll go in mine and Dane’s game Nendoroid section of our collection! I’ll make sure to show him off on Instagram when he arrives at the end of November. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Isabelle Summer Outfit Amiibo – (link)

This is something I ordered last week when I ordered myย Animal Crossingย series 5 amiibo cards! As some of you may know, I’ve been collecting the Animal Crossing amiibo figures since the summer now and currently I only have two/three left to buy, Timmy & Tommy and Kicks, as well as Smash Isabelle if you want to include her. On places like CeX they’re selling the Isabelle summer outfit amiibo for ยฃ15.00, whereas the official Nintendo UK store sells this one for ยฃ10.99… So go figure. ๐Ÿ˜› I waited to see if the series 5 amiibo cards would land on the Nintendo UK store, which they did so… Yeah I popped her into my basket too. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearlย  – (link, link and link)

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!! November is an amazing month for games and I honestly cannot wait for this to come out next week, I just wish I was off work to play it all day. xD This being said, I’ll be spending all the weekend it’s out playing it. I bought both Diamond and Pearl, just so Dane can play Diamond if he wants to, but so far he isn’t fussed… Which is fine, I can keep Diamond for myself to grab any special Pokemon for Diamond, as well as the starter Pokemon. PLUS, if I wanted to stream myself playing one of the gen four remakes, I’d be playing Diamond. Pearl was my gen 4 game of choice (as well as Platinum) back in the day and I loved it so much, so I’m already excited about the nostalgia I’m going to feel again. ๐Ÿ™‚ ALSO an FYI, I’m planning on writing next week about all the games that have come/coming out this month that I’m excited for and loving, so make sure to keep eyes peeled for that!

  • PVRIS Gig Tickets.

Finally, we have a random wish list item… But one I would really love to snag. When I moved to my current role at the start of 2019 I discovered PVRIS through listening to Kerrang! Radio during the working day, as well as driving to and from the office, and since then I’ve been in love. I missed seeing them in the UK when they did an intimate tour in 2020, so I’d love to finally go and see them next year! Why haven’t I ordered tickets then? Well, because I’m anxious. I’m anxious due to COVID and I don’t really know what the future holds? I’m seeing My Chemical Romance in May 2022 (just weeks after the PVRIS gig) but as I booked that back in January 2020, (when COVID wasn’t such a big thing) and how heart-breaking it was to get those tickets, I’m not willing to cancel the tickets for MCR. Thinking of it logically, I’d hate to get COVID from the PVRIS gig and then not be able to attend the MCR gig so… I doubt I’ll buy tickets unless it’s last minute, we’ll see.

So, there we have it guys, my wish list for November! I know it isn’t anything amazing, but with it being so close to Christmas, November is usually quite quiet.. Which is fair in every circumstance.

To think, the next wish list I’ll be writing will be for Christmas now! I seriously can’t believe how quickly the year has flown, it’s scary in a way, isn’t it?

What do you all have on your wish lists for this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below, I’m always intrigued at what people have on their wish lists too. ๐Ÿ™‚

Until next time guys, I hope you’ve have a lovely week and take care!

April Wish List โ€˜21

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you’re having a lovely bank holiday so far. At the time of writing this, I’m really excited for my Easter roast that I’m cooking with Dane as well as our chocolate eggs. I’m also planning to cook some mini egg brownies or cupcakes and send half over to my parents and keep half ourselves. I’m not sure which to bake yet, but brownies are looking to be the choice at the moment. I’d buy some cream too to pour over the top, or maybe some custard? OOFT!

Anyhoo… Enough of yummy food. This months wish list pretty much contains items I’ve bought/pre-ordered or hoping to pre-order VERY soon. I’m still looking to be on a spending ban in April because I’m finding it really handy to keep track of what I’ve bought and when, as well as WHY I’ve bought something.

An example of this being March. At the start of the new spending ban month, Black Milk Clothing had brought out their second Pokemon collection and I know I wanted to pick up a few pieces from it. They’re both limited and wouldn’t be brought back, so I bought them. I think items that are limited edition, or rare items found on eBay are acceptable within reason.

Another example, I found one of my holy grail Loungefly bags and it wasn’t cheap. It was a reasonable price considering, but not cheap. I’d seen a piece from Black Milk Clothing’s latest collection (The Thirteenth Tarot) that I wanted to buy, as well as a piece from the first Pokemon collection in the sale. I haven’t bought these pieces due to buying the bag. Granted, I didn’t need any of these things but… I wanted the bag.

Anyway, I digress! I’m really excited to talk about the items on my wish list this month. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing this months wish list post! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Oyasai Fairy and Manabu Vegetable Knowledge Book by PonkichiM (link)

This is something I didn’t think I’d ever own, even though I really wanted it. PonkichiM is a Japanese artist I discovered well over a year ago now thanks to Twitter and now Iโ€™m able to own their art book which is full of their cute vegetable animal hybrids that the artist calls faeries. I told my friend Emily (who I met through Instagram) about PonkichiM a while ago and she fell in love with the artists designs too, which did not surprise me! So, when Emily told me she was going to order the knowledge/art book from Amazon Japan and wondered if I wanted one. I jumped on it and when it arrived at hers I paid her for it. ๐Ÿ™‚ Her boyfriend was kind enough to bring it over and post through the letter box and it’s GORGEOUS! I’ll be showing this off in my April favourites later this month for sure. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Loungefly x Sanrio Pompompurin Mini Backpack and Purse

I decided to merge these two items together as I have a STORY to tell in regards! So, I’d pre-ordered both of these items through Geekcore and they were both due to come out in April. However earlier this week I received an email saying that this and a few other designs had been cancelled in the UK due to failing quality control… Which sucked. I’d not exactly had the best day so to hear this news was devastating to me… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I’ve had a full refund and I’ve pre-ordered through an America seller I’ve bought from before. I don’t 100% know when these will be out, but I hope sooner rather than later as I cannot wait for these to arrive. They’re gorgeous fluffy bags and of course feature my favourite Sanrio character, Pompompurin. I do feel I’ve paid far too much now to get him into my life, but I guess it’s… Kind of worth it… :’)

  • Kaymiibo Animal Crossing Sanrio Homemade/Custom Amiibo (link)

I do feel bad buying fake amiibo cards, but at the same time I don’t when Nintendo is pissing their UK fans about. There. I said it. We were all told by Nintendo UK the end of March, but the worldwide release was the 26th March, which we assumed would be the same here. I waited all day to order a pack of cards, as did others, but nothing dropped. I started to come to a realisation that IF the cards had of come out that day, I probably wouldn’t have gotten any anyway, due to the fact SO many people want to get a packet of these cards, as well as scalpers trying to snag them too. So, I decided to buy some of the custom made ones and when the real cards released, I’d get those too. You know what? Nintendo UK decided to release the cards on the last day of March, without much warning and they sold out quickly, with some cancellations and refunds given to people by Nintendo due to overselling. I know they also released some more packs on the 1st April. I missed both drops and was gutted. I have some big plans for my Sanrio cards and items, which I’m so excited about!

  • Pokemon Center Nickit Plush

If there was one Pokemon from Sword and Shield that I fell in love with and called my favourite from that gen, it’s Nickit. The cute little fox Pokemon that specialises in dark moves. I just fell in love and caught one as soon as I could in the game. Sadly it didn’t follow me all the way to the end, but for the start of my journey in Shield, it did me good. I’d waited patiently for a Nickit plush to come to the Pokemon Center and FINALLY it is time! I’ve pre-ordered my plush through YY Kawaii (Instagram – yykawaiimerch1) which I’m excited to have arrive in the upcoming months! Make sure to use code “YYCOFFEE10” to snag 10% off of the website!

  • Nintendo Switch New Pokemon Snap (link)

Finally we have a game I’m SUPER excited to see come out at the end of the month and that is the New Pokemon Snap game coming to Switch! I never got to play the original Pokemon Snap on Nintendo 64 as I never owned one and neither did any of my friends. I always have a fond memory of going to Dixons with my dad and running to the back of the shop to play on the N64 that was set up at the back of the shop withย Pokemon Snapย inside that you could play. I never got the chance to play it every time I ran to the back of the shop, because there was always a kid, or at least a group of siblings stood there hogging it. So, this coming out will be like a part of my childhood I missed out on. ๐Ÿ™‚ Eventually I’ll snag the Pikachu N64 ANDย Pokemon Snap so I can play it myself, at home, without the worry of some selfish kids preventing me. ๐Ÿ˜›

So there we have it guys, that is my wish list for April and I feel like I’m already skint. ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m so excited for April, Easter break so far has been amazing, I’m looking forward to my roast and Easter eggs, as well as Dane’s birthday in a couple of weeks time. ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you guys have on your wish lists for April? As well as if plans you may have for April too? Let me know in the comments. ๐Ÿ™‚

Until next time all, take care and HAPPY EASTER! ๐Ÿ˜€

Gamersheek and Why You Should Shop With Them*

The title of today’s blog post is pretty self explanatory and to the point… Just the way I like my blog posts!

Today I am talking to you all about Gamersheek, a company I befriended in 2018 and who I have worked with a few times now, including today. I don’t know if you guys are feeling the way I am, but whilst we are in quarantine I have been shopping loads online… I can’t help it! If I’m not playing games, or binging stuff on Netflix, I’m window shopping and making cheeky purchases.

Gamersheek right now is one of the best places to go and shop if you’re a geek like me who loves gaming, repping your favourite game with clothing and merchandise and more!

Gamersheek were founded in 2015 by Sean with his vision being:

To have a company that was the go to place for all the Gaming “Chic”, from hoodies to Pikachu boxers, hence the company name Gamersheek!

Not long after I discovered Gamersheek, they relaunched their website with a new partner and started to sell video games and more!

The way I discovered Gamersheek and started working with them is through my love of Persona 5. I’ve been gifted and bought Persona 5 related merchandise from Gamersheek, with my most recent gifted item from them beingย Persona 5 Royal*, which has been a great new addition to my home with the lock down!

The one thing I really love about Gamersheek’s website is that they have a “Fandoms” section, so if you’re after a certain fandom, you can go here and find everything listed under it, including games, clothing, figures and more!

Videos games, they stock both consoles and games from Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. They also have a “Brand of the Month” section, which their current brand being Cyberpunk 2077. I know everyone (me included) is excited for this game and although it was originally planned to come out this week, it’s now been pushed back to September. Alongside the game, you can also pick up some figures from Gamersheek, which look pretty damn good.

When I look at pre-ordering or treating myself to a new game, I always make sure to try and get the best price possible and this is something Gamersheek are great at. Their prices are really fair and to make things even better, they offer price matching! For those who may not know what this is, it’s when a store will match a price if you have found it cheaper elsewhere in the UK.

Gamersheek will always try and offer a price match against their competitors, which I think is really good! However, this isn’t something they are doing with video games, which is a shame BUT that being said, their video game prices are amazing anyway.

With anything else on their website, they will price match, unless you have found bootleg products at a cheaper price. It goes without saying why this is a no no…

When you try and request for a price match it will explain in more detail, as well as some points to think of when claiming.

At the moment there aren’t many games that I happen to have on my wish list, especially since Animal Crossing: New Horizons came out last month. However, I do have a few items I like the look of, which I will quickly talk about and link down below:

Catherine Full Body – Nintendo Switch (link)ย – When the originalย Catherine came out in 2011 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, I wanted a copy on the latter console. I never got one though and I never really regretted it. However, now that the game has been remastered and re-released on the PlayStation 4 AND soon on the Nintendo Switch too, I’m happy to finally pick the game up. It’s by the same people behindย Persona 5ย and you guys know my feelings on that game series.

I had a look at Animal Crossing related items. I sort of regret not picking up the limited edition Switch console for New Horizons, but at the same time… I don’t! I do however want to get some of the amiibo figures (as well as some more of the cards) so was happy to see that some of them are still available to pick up from Gamersheek, including Blathers and Reece.

Finally I couldn’t venture onto the Gamersheek and not search for Persona 5! I noticed that they are selling the Persona 5 Shujin Academy hoodie, which I may have to treat myself to this at some point… Especially with how my daily “uniform” at the moment is hoodies and leggings or joggers. ๐Ÿ˜›

Overall I really love what Gamersheek is doing, as they’re slowly moving up in the world of game merchants and I’m so proud as a friend and shopper to see them progress so well! ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you think you’ll buy some new games from Gamersheek anytime soon? If so, let me know which games you would like to pick up soon to add to your collection.

I’m off myself now to continue playing Persona 5 Royal… As well as Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Until next time, take care and keep safe. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hyper Japan 2015 Part 1

I have struggled to start this post because I just didn’t know how to start it, and due to that it’s actually a day late… Oops! I’m literally just going to throw myself into it and ramble on about things in the order they occurred on the day, which I’ll warn you was long and also picture heavy! I also bought quite a few things at Hyper Japan or was given plenty of freebies, which you can see above, but I’ll go into more detail about those throughout the post.

This post is actually going to be split into two parts, because as I’ve been writing it, it’s just appeared to be WAY too long! So I’ll have part one up today, and part one up tomorrow!

Although we were shattered, we were ready for Hyper Japan and made sure we got up bright an early to get a big breakfast and then head over to the O2 where the event was happening. I’ve never been to the O2 in London before so I was in shock when I saw how big it actually is. But to get there we took the cable cart over which was pretty cool, although I was really anxious when we went over the first time, damn anxiety!

We arrived and the queue was ridiculous… However we had paid a little extra to get fast registration tickets, so we were lucky and didn’t need to wait in that queue. I later read online that it took people an hour to just over it to get into the arena. Not good! We had a bit of trouble waiting in the queue but for once my anxiety didn’t hold me back from voicing my concerns and I spoke to a member of staff about what was happening. Basically, people were pushing in and then laughing at us all who they had pushed past. Me raising these issues got us to the front of the queue, which we couldn’t complain about.

When we finally got inside we were even more excited! The O2 wasn’t that busy but it was sure heaving with restaurants. It just meant if we didn’t wish to eat at Hyper Japan, we had some choices around us.

There were various places you could visit at Hyper Japan including, Eat Japan, Hyper Fringe Market, J-Culture, Hyper Kawaii, Hyper Live, and the first place we visited, Hyper Game & Anime Park. This was probably one of the funnest places for us so it being the first place we went into was pretty awesome.

As the name suggests the Game & Anime Park was of course full of those. Nintendo was of course the main gaming event in there with loads of different demo areas for various different games, as well as a huge stage where members of Nintendo were talking people through new and upcoming games, as well as some cool events happening. We went there to watch about the latest game from Animal Crossing, Happy Home Designer (I’ve already pre ordered it!). I’m a huge Animal Crossing fan so I was super excited when we were told that event was happening on the stage. We watched the whole thing and due to being such awesome people, we were given a free Mario Kart 8 keyring, which I gave my boyfriend.

As well as that there was also a Playstation 4 console where people could demo the new Sword Art Online game, which is coming out in autumn this year! Exciting news for Sword Art Online fans like me and my boyfriend. We both had a go on the demo which latest about ten minutes and it was a pretty straight forward game. There was a huge queue when we first went into the Game & Anime Park so when we went in for a second time, that’s when we got to have a go.

Of course due to Nintendo being there, they also had some of their Amiibo items on display for people to look at, which of course we did. The ones I got most excited for were the yarn Yoshi ones, which have come out to accompany the Wii U game Yoshi’s Woolly World. They come in three colours, my favourite of course being the original green Yoshi. These are made out of real wool so not only do they look like little woolen figures, but they actually are!

Going back to Animal Crossing and the new game Happy Home Designer, these are coming out alongside it so it was nice to have a look at the cards that will be coming out for it. You use these cards to call different villagers and people in the town then and there instead of waiting ages for them. It was also nice to discover that Nintendo are bringing out an add on for old 3DS, and 2DS ‘s where you can use the cards, instead of needing to but the new 3DS.

Not long after the event where the people of Nintendo were talking about the new Animal Crossing game, a Pikachu suddenly waddled past us and over to the main Nintendo section. We followed it to discover that you could have pictures with it, so we got in the queue and got our pictures taken! It was so adorable and I wish we could have gone back and had some more pictures of it. But alas, we had things to do.

Before we left the Game & Anime Park I had a quick picture (or two!) with a massive Colossal Titan head that had been blown up with air for people to take pictures with. It’s from Attack On Titan, one of mine and my boyfriends favourite manga/anime. My boyfriend didn’t bother having any pictures with it, but I made sure to take advantage of it, as it was pretty awesome and the picture I got of me with it is definitely one of my favourites from the day.

We picked up a few bits and pieces from the Game & Anime Park and my boyfriend was lovely enough to buy me a handbag. I had my eye on it since the seller announced they would be selling them at Hyper Japan over on their Facebook page. When I told them I wanted to buy one they were lovely enough to let me look over the bag I got to make sure it was okay and such, which of course it was. It also came in a dust bag which I love! I keep it in there when I’m not using it to keep it nice and fresh looking. It’s a dupe of the Samantha Vega handbag which I’m fine with, as it’s a nice dupe and when I’ve used this bag since me getting it, it’s amazing quality and is really sturdy and great! I’m super pleased with it, and for ยฃ35 it was well worth the money. My boyfriend also bought me some green tea matcha Kit Kat’s, which were only 80p each! By far the cheapest ones in the whole of Hyper Japan.

We moved over to the other areas of Hyper Japan and probably spent most of our time there looking around all the various stalls and stands.

This is the Tofu Cute Candy Festival and something we visited twice because we loved it so much! For just ยฃ6 we got all these treats to eat and try, so we got two of these. There were various things we got from Pocky, Kit Kat’s, chocolate, sweets, and as you can see on this picture, a green tea matcha mochi, where was delicious. It was a great way to sample things before buying them in the shop next door. The shop was so busy too, it was probably one of the busiest stalls of the day.

As the Saturday Hyper Japan day is split into two separate events people are told they need to leave for half an hour whilst the event is swapped around so before we headed off we ordered a picture to be drawn of us together, as well as picked up a picture of me that someone had drawn in the Fringe Market.

We also decided to grab some food from the Eat Japan section. We bought some tuna onigiri, and to the Japanese onigiri is like a sandwich to us, which I LOVED! They were two for ยฃ6, which wasn’t cheap for but for how filling it was, it was really nice. I think we’re going to try and make these ourselves in the future.

Then we headed back to the hotel as we were pretty shattered and wanted to drop off some of the stuff we had bought, as things were beginning to be quiet heavy. The queue for the cable cart was long! But luckily we were alright and soon got into a cart with some people. I felt a lot more relaxed the second time we rode it and I would love to go on it again in the future.

And whilst I was going to continue talking about Hyper Japan, I’m going to stop for today and call this part one out of two. This post is just turning out to be way too long to fit into one post without it not beginning to be boring.

So tomorrow I shall talk about the second half of Hyper Japan in part two!

What do you think of my first Hyper Japan experience so far? Did you go to Hyper Japan? Let me know in the comments.

Until tomorrow, take care all.
