The Mystery Blogger Award

It’s a Wednesday evening and I’m sat in my garden with a cold drink and Daft Punk playing in the background. I’m loving life right now, especially considering the weekend is also around the corner. 😛

I was thinking for ages about what I could do today’s blog post about and I had loads of ideas swirling around but I didn’t feel like any of them were suitable for today. Then I remembered, Gemma had tagged me in The Mystery Blogger Award post of hers!

In the past I’ve been nominated for one, maybe two awards but meh I never bothered with them. I really like the sound of this one though! 😛

The award was originally created by Okoto Enigma and as I said before, Gemma nominated me so a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Gemma for that, who I talk to on Twitter about Pokemon Go! 😛

Three things about me!

1. I’m a massive Pokemon fan and have been since I was 9 years old, that means next year I’ll have been a fan for 20 years!

2. My favourite colour to wear is black, but red is also another colour I love wearing.

3. I was asked recently which band I would love to see before I die and the answer is Daft Punk. I’ve loved them since One More Time was released and since then they’ve been one of my favourite bands.

Q1. What are your Autumn and Winter go to comforts?

A1. Oh so many! Definitely having a lovely hot bubble bath, burning scented candles and especially wrapping up in my favourite fluffy blanket. I love being toasty and warm so evenings like this are the best, ever!

Q2. If your life had a scent what would it be?

A2. Mmm I don’t know to be honest with you… Probably Alien or Angel or something peppermint scented. 😛

Q3. What film are you most looking forward to this year?

A3. I was most looking forward to Deadpool 2 and now that’s finished… I’m really excited for Bohemian Rhapsody later this year to be honest with you as well as Venom.

Q4. If you could have any cartoon character narrate your day to day life like a book who would you choose? – funny question.

A4. Holy shit I have SO MANY IDEAS! Okay, one idea is the narrator from the original Pokemon anime and Morgana from Persona 5. 😛

Q5. What was/is your favourite cartoon/anime?

A5. If I had to choose one anime it would probably have to be Nana, but if I had the choice of a couple I would also add K-ON!.

The Blogger Tag

Wow, what is this gorgeous weather we’ve been experiencing the past week or so?! It’s gorgeous and I wish the UK could be like it ALL THE TIME.

Sadly, I’ve not really been able to enjoy it 100% due to being busy etc. If I had furniture in my garden, I totally would be sat outside right now, with a cocktail (made by moi!) and writing this. Instead I’m sat by my back door, on my swivel chair with a glass of milk.

I didn’t have a clue what to write today in all honesty with you. I just wanted to spend my evening binge watching Peter Kay’s Car Share and playing Detective Pikachu. Alas, a blog post needs to be done and I’ve opted for a tag!

I know you’re meant to be tagged to do this post, but meh I never give a shit about that stuff to be perfectly honest with you.

• How long have you been blogging for and why did you start?

I’ve been blogging since I was 22, so 6 years now! I started writing my blog because I wanted somewhere to write about the things I love and enjoy talking about. I’d wanted to go to YouTube but I lacked the confidence and as I’d not long finished university (where I studied creative writing) my writing urges were strong. I’m so glad I decided to get into blogging, I’ve met and spoken to some amazing ladies over the years, as well as been offered some amazing experiences along the way!

• Is this current blog your first blog?

It’s actually my second but my first one only had a couple of blog posts on it before me moving over to WordPress. It was called something like Pashion For Fassion or something along those lines. I think I wrote a Lush Godmother Soap review on there, as well as a couple of designer wish lists. The name alone makes me cringe so bloody much! Before my blog was called There Might Be Coffee it was called Broken Prophet Blog. That was after my old Twitter handle. It was awful and it had to go!

• What would you categorise your blog as?

I always say that I’m a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger with a geeky flare. I talk about all sorts though really, but I mostly talk about lifestyle stuff.

• Is it still the same kind of blog as when you started?

Oh hell no! Since meeting my boyfriend Dane in 2013 he’s helped me shape who I am now. I’m a MASSIVE nerd and love so many things, including anything Japanese related. I used to be heavily fashion related years ago when I first started and definitely more into my lipsticks than I currently am. I’ve just branched out I suppose and instead of writing about what I thought was the right thing to do, I now write about what I WANT to.

• Top 3 things about being a blogger?

The amazing fellow bloggers out there I’ve met and befriended.

Reading lovely comments from people on my blog posts (they’re the best bit tbh).

The wonderful opportunities I’ve gained through being a blogger, as well as experience.

• What is your favourite kind of post to write?

All sorts really, it entirely depends on my mood. I love writing my monthly posts to share what products and general things I loved the previous month. I also love writing reviews about products I’ve both loved and hated. Most of all I love being able to write about anything I am passionate about and love to bits.

• What is the hardest post you have ever written and published?

I don’t know to be honest with you… It’s such a tough question to answer! I guess some of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write and publish have been when I’ve been honest about things, especially mental health issues. It’s hard enough writing the post, let alone publishing it for the world to see.

SO that was The Blogger Tag! I’m so glad I’ve given this post a go as it was so much fun to do. I’m such a sucker for blog posts when it involves the whole questions and answers part. I put this down to passing hours of time after school and college on MySpace and doing the Q&A posts!

As I said on my last post, I do apologise for how quiet I’ve been of late on my blog, I’ve not been very well sadly and meh I’ve needed a break. I’m starting to feel better though now, which is good! I hope my readers are all well.

The Kawaii Tag

This is a tag I stumbled towards the weekend and I had done at least half of it but then meh I felt tired and crabby so stopped and I’ve only just had the chance to come back to it!

I found this tag on Eleanor’s blog eleaanormay.com and it shouted at me straight away to give it a go. So, here we are. 😛

1. How did you start liking Kawaii?

It started when Pokemon first came out, both the game and the anime series. I fell in love with the franchise and all the things that come with it! Years later I’d watch the odd bits of Dragon Ball Z and Spirited Away before really falling in love with anime after watching Elfen Lied. I love that anime so much and I recently re watched it.

2. What is the cutest thing you own?

Definitely my Nendoroid figures and also my Pokemon Eeveelution plushies too. Me and Dane are huge Nendoroid fans and we collect them whenever we can. Usually we buy them each other over Christmas, birthday’s and anniversaries but recently we’e treated ourselves to a few including Morgana from Persona 5 and Naruto. Dane’s birthday is less than a month away now and I don’t have a bloody clue which to get him for his birthday!

3. Who is your favourite Sanrio character?

Ooo this is a tough one! I have always loved Pompompurin BUT more recently I have definitely fallen in love with Aggretsuko. I love them both equally to be honest, my youth lies in Pompompurin and my older self with Aggretsuko.

4. Do you wear Kawaii fashion?

I don’t to be honest and although I did want to in the past, it just wouldn’t suit me. I’d love to rock certain “kawaii” fashions but as I said, I doubt very much it would suit me… Nor my wallet as they aren’t exactly the cheapest of pieces to pick up…

5. Do you watch anime? What’s your favourite?

Do I watch anime?! BAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh I watch it all the time! I have a couple of firm favourites including oldie Elfen Lied, K-ON! which me and Dane discovered last year together and I’ve recently fallen in love with How To Keep A Mummy.

6. What is your cutest piece of clothing?

Either my Pikachu skater dress, or either of my varsity jackets by Ohayou Clothing! where one has a picture of Eevee and the other has Umbreon. I love them so much and rock them all throughout the summer months when the weather is warmer. I attempted to wear my Umbreon jacket yesterday and had to throw my yellow raincoat over the top due to how cold it was!

7. What do your friends and family think of your Kawaii obsession?

I think my family accept it, but they don’t quite understand it fully. My friends are amazing and support it fully and even some have mutual feelings about certain obsessions, which is always amazing. I’m proud of being a geek/otaku lover but I do always feel slightly anxious when talking about stuff in case people think I’m weird. But these days, I’m past caring. 😛

8. Who is your Kawaii role model?

Without sounding like a knob, I don’t actually have a role model. When it comes to kawaii I have my own loves with it and I love what I like and I’m not influenced by anyone on social media, celebrities, etc. If anyone influences me at all, it’s Dane and I’m sure I influence him too. When I say influence, I mean in the sense if he’s discovered something he thinks I’ll like, he tells me and vice versa.

So that is The Kawaii Tag! What did I think of it? I’m not going to lie, there needs to be more questions that are to do with kawaii in my opinion. I did love the questions though, I just wanted more. 😛

The Gamer Tag

Oh man I love a good tag post to take part in and I’ve seen a couple of game related ones floating around lately! I’m not as big a gamer as I used to be, but even so I LOVE gaming on my own, as well as with Dane and our friends.

When I saw that Eleanor had done The Gamer Tag, I thought I would give it a go myself!

Like she did, I tag anyone who reads this post and wants to give it a go.

I hope you like and can relate to my answers!

1. WHAT IS YOU GAMER TAG?

I actually cannot remember and to be honest I’m 1. Too lazy to go and find out and 2. I don’t want randomers adding me. 😛

2. PC OR CONSOLE?

I like both but I’ve always been a console gal! 😛

3. CONSOLE OF CHOICE?

PlayStation 4, but considering I have an Xbox One and a Nintendo 2DS, the possibilities are endless! But if there’s a game I really want and it’s on PS4, I’ll get a game for that.

4. HANDHELD OF CHOICE? (DS, PS VITA, ETC.)

I prefer my 2DS to my PS Vita as I find there’s more choice, but I feel like I can do that little more on my PS Vita… AKA watch Crunchyroll. 😛

5. KEYBOARD OR GAMEPAD?

Gamepad for sure! I always get flustered using a keyboard.

6. SINGLEPLAYER OR MULTIPLAYER?

Depends on the game really… I love my single player games for obvious reasons, but I love playing with my friends too on multiplayer! I’d love for Persona 5 to be multiplayer so I could play with Dane.

7. WHAT WAS THE FIRST GAME YOU HAVE EVER PLAYED?

It was probably Pop’n Twinbee on the SNES. I still own that console as well as all the games I had handed down to me from my older brother and it’s safe to say, I still love it!

8. HARDEST GAME YOU HAVE EVER PLAYED?

Mmm… I thought long and hard about this for all of a minute and it’s definitely Rocket League! I cannot play it for toffee and I just hate it purely for how much I struggle to play it. I’ve played it with friends and just ended up rage quitting. I chase after the ball constantly and do fuck all with it. URGH!!!

9. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST GAMING SYSTEM?

The SNES! One of my older brothers bought himself a PlayStation so I had this donated to me. Years ago he asked my dad if he could have it back. Erm, no. 😛 I still love it so much and play it once in a blue moon.

10. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE GAME OF ALL TIME?

Oh man it used to be Pokemon but I think it’s been pushed off by Persona 5 recently! I don’t know, it might just be a toss up between the two. I’m a bit let down by Pokemon with Sun and Moon. They’re so different, easy to play and just boring and lame. I’m also sick and tired of them adding more and more Pokemon to the games… Only for them to be shite and pointless items! I don’t mind when it adds to stuff that works, AKA the Alohan forms as well as Eeveelutions, but I’m sick of Pokemon such as a bunch of keys or an ice cream. Come on guys, sort it out!

11. WHAT GAME IS CURRENTLY YOUR FAVOURITE?

Persona 5 for sure! I’m still on my second play through and trying to make it 100%! I’m also playing Persona 4: Golden at the same time… Which reminds me, I need to continue playing it! 😛

12. FAVOURITE VIDEO GAME GENRE?

I don’t know to be honest… I’m really loving JRPGs (Japanese role playing games) at the moment and I want to get more! I love games where I can relax whilst I play them too, such as Sims 4, Animal Crossing as well as Cooking Mama. It depends on my mood really!

13. FAVOURITE VIDEO GAME CHARACTER?

Oh man it has to be Akira/Joker from Persona 5. He’s such and awesome and loveable character. He’s been through shit and still acts normal and not hating the world for what has happened. I love that he hasn’t rebelled or acted like a dick.

Also how can I forget Princess Kenny?! Not a massive video game character, more of a TV show character but fuck it, she was in a game and she was bloody fabulous! 😛

14. WHICH VIDEO GAME CHARACTER DO YOU HATE MOST?

I had to ask Dane for help on this as I couldn’t think of anyone for AGES! The only person either of us could come up with was Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher 3. I just don’t like the sound of his voice and urgh! Dane used to play this LOADS at one point and I hated whenever the character spoke. I can’t say I hate him, but I can’t think of anyone else…

15. WHAT NEW GAME YOU ARE MOST EXCITED FOR?

I can’t think of any games I’m really arsed about right now… Apart from the new Persona dance games that are due out this year in Japan and maybe 2019 in the UK. I know I’m excited for a couple of games but meh they haven’t announced a date for some of them yet so sadly my hype and excitement for them can’t start just yet… Sad times!

16. FAVOURITE VIDEO GAME COMPANY/DEVELOPER?

I’ve always loved everything that Quantic Dream have released, especially Heavy Rain! I know everyone went mad for it but I’d played Fahrenheit beforehand so I was excited for Heavy Rain leading up to its released. I’m excited for Detroit: Become Human but there isn’t a release date yet. WHICH SUCKS!

17. WHAT GAMING SYSTEMS DO YOU CURRENTLY HAVE?

I own many, but my most up to date one is my PlayStation 4. Alongside that I have my SNES, GameCube, PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and a PlayStation 3. I also have various  handhelds including a GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo 2DS and PS Vita.

18. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN GAMING?

Since I can remember! Probably since the age of 5 or 6 when I was first given my SNES and my GameBoy.

19. HOW LONG WAS YOUR LONGEST GAMING SESSION?

Probably 12 hours… If there has been a longer gaming session then fuck knows when it was! When me and Dane first got together we would spend Sunday’s playing Minecraft for as long as possible before either of us went back home. I don’t play games as much as I used to and only tend to for long periods of time is if 1. Dane is away for work and I’m bored and 2. I’m obsessed with a game and Dane is happy doing his own thing for a very long time.

20. WHAT GAME HAVE YOU CLOCKED THE MOST TIME ON?

Definitely Persona 5! I’m currently on something stupid like 200-300 hours of game play! I am on my second play through however and near the end of it… I intend to play it again as well so that I can get all the trophies on it. 😛 I’m pretty cure I have more hours on games such as Heavy Rain and any of the LEGO games I own due to wanting to get to 100% and all the trophies.

So that is The Gamer Tag! I do apologise for talking loads about Persona 5, but I swear that game has kind of changed my life… Gamer wise anyway! I’ve not loved something so much since I discovered Pokemon, lipstick and katsu curry!

Gamer Confessions Tag

Good afternoon all, I hope you’re well! Wow I don’t usually start blog posts that way but I’m feeling something different today. 😛

This post has been scheduled and at this moment in time I’m watching Dirty Sanchez series 2 on Dane’s old (and I mean OLD) MacBook and it’s snowing outside. You wouldn’t think we’re almost at the end of January would you? 😛

I found this gamer tag by Michelle over on her blog A Geek Girl’s Guide and with the amount of gaming I do I thought it would be fun to have a go myself!

1. A game everyone loves that you can’t stand

Rocket League. I fucking hate that game and it’s for one reason… I’m really bad at it. Like atrociously bad. I can’t play it for toffee and I’ve tried over and over again and I just can’t get into it whatsoever. It reminds me of football games and they’re always rubbish. 😛

2. A game that you love, but no one else seems to

Probably both the DJ Hero games. 😛 I’ve always been into club music due to my brother being a DJ when I was growing up. I remember buying the first game with the turntable and I played that game nonstop on my PS3 until I completed it. Then when DJ Hero 2 came out I was on it straight away. I’d love to play it again but meh I don’t think I can be arsed. 😛

3. An older game you haven’t finished, and probably never will

Tomb Raider 2… Even though I REALLY want to because I loved that game growing up! Someone messed up one of my saves on it and I was beyond gutted. I’d got to about level 7 on there and there’s a point where if she falls she just dies. You can’t grab or fuck all, she just drops to her death. Some arsehole saved the game on that and I was distraught at the time. I went back to it last year to continue but never did. I think I played the first level with Dane and that was about it.

4. A guilty pleasure game

I want to say Minecraft or Sims 4 as they’re both such relaxing games (until you set your Sims house on fire or you’re stuck in a mine with a bunch of creepers!) and you can really get lost in them for hours on end. In all fairness though it’s probably going to be Persona 5 as I can just sit and play it over and over again. 😛

5. A game you really love but haven’t played in a long time

Probably one of the Pokemon games or even a Lego game. I loved the Lego The Hobbit game but I haven’t played it for AGES and I would love to, but it’s on my PS3. I wish I could put it on my PS4 to play instead. 😦

6. A game you never play seriously but others do

Oh man I don’t know… I never play games seriously to be honest! 😛 Probably something like Sims 4 and maybe Minecraft too!

7. A game you completed but hated it by the end

Life is Strange: Beyond The Storm. I was interested by the storyline and to find out more about Chloe and Rachel Amber but fuck me by the end of it I was glad it only lasted 3 episodes as they both pissed me off so much. The way they designed Rachel Amber got me the most. A spoilt brat who walks like a man (not that this is a problem it just didn’t suit her whatsoever!) and uses Chloe as much as possible. Then there’s Chloe… Don’t even get me started on Chloe. I was disappointed by the game as I feel they made the girls like that on purpose and if that’s the case they did an amazing job at pissing people off. I just love Max to be honest.

8. A game you thought you’d enjoy, but didn’t

Lego Worlds. Me and Dane were so excited to pick this up as we thought it would be like Minecraft but with Lego. We love the Lego games so why would this be any different? Sadly it was and in that same instance it was awful. It felt more like you had to run around a glitchy world trying to collect as many Lego series as possible. That isn’t what it was advertised to be and due to that it was a massive disappointment.

9. A game you didn’t think was for you, and then loved

Oh man it has to be Persona 5! I had heard nothing but awesome things about it before it came out and I mentioned it time and time again to Dane to see what he thought. He’d say, “I don’t think it’s your thing Nat. It’s like the Final Fantasy games.” and sadly I can’t stand them. I hate the game play so much. So I ummed and ahhed about Persona 5 for ages and the day it came out I went to buy it from Amazon but it was sold out. A week later I found it in my local Argos and picked it up. I fell in love with the story as well as the game play and it has now gone up as one of my favourite games of ALL TIME. 😀

10. A game you are still excited for that hasn’t come out yet

I’m already excited for the Persona 5: Dancing Star Night to be perfectly honest! It comes out in Japan in May this year so I don’t know when we’ll get it. If it’s anything like Persona 5 was we’ll probably have it December… I CANNOT WAIT THAT LONG! :O

Another other games I’m excited for though? A Way Out looks like loads of fun and is one me and Dane would get to play together! That comes out late March. I’m SUPER excited for Detroit: Become Human but as of yet it doesn’t have a confirmed release date, which I’m gutted about as I feel like myself and others have been waiting years for this game now. 😦

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like A… CHRISTMAS TAG!

With every season and special event(s) that arise around them, a tag post will always be flying around and if there isn’t, I always find one. I love taking part in tag posts and especially love reading peoples answers on them! I just feel like it helps you find out more things about a blogger, whether they’ve been around for years, or just starting out. It’s also a great way to share fellow bloggers websites and Twitter handles out there on the World Wide Blogging Web!

Before the weekend Sarah over at Raiin Monkey tagged me as well as some of my gorgeous fellow geeky bloggers to take part in the Christmas tag (you can read her answers here!)

AND since it snowed in Birmingham before the weekend, I’ll be using my own snow pictures for this post! 😀

1. Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until last minute?

I get my Christmas shopping done WAYYYY before Black Friday! I try and get it started at the start of November so that I don’t have to do the rustle and bustle of Christmas shopping at the end of November an on wards. My family have always left Christmas shopping until the last minute and I always hated that. My dad is terrible for it and literally a week before Christmas he’ll be buying stuff and wonder why everything is sold out! xD

2. If you could be in any Christmas movie, what would it be?

Home Alone for sure! That’s my favourite Christmas film and I’d love to play one of the bad characters. 😛 OR star as like a character is a jokey Star Wars Christmas was made. 😛

3. Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

I like both to be honest for different reasons. I like Christmas Eve because it’s that little excitement for Christmas and you get the buzz! I also love Christmas Day because although I’m excited to receive my own gifts, I just love seeing people’s faces (especially Dane’s) when they open their gifts from me. That’s my favourite part to be honest. I see Christmas as a way to thank people for being there for me throughout the year.

4. When does your family (or you) put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?

Me and Dane put our tree up on the 1st December and we both decorate it together. I think it’s going to become a thing where we take it in turns to put the tree up, but we’ll decorate it together. I put it up this year and making a tree look plump and fluffy is one of the hardest things to be honest! Dane had to finish it off for me, as apparently our tree was looking bald down below. xD

5. White lights or coloured lights?

I like both to be honest, but we have coloured lights for Christmas, which we haven’t even switched on yet this past week and a bit!

6. Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprise?

I can’t help but have a peek to be honest… I’m always curious what I’ve been bought I suppose. I’ve had a peek in my bag of gifts from Dane, as he has with his gifts from me but I want a surprise. I love surprises! 😛

7. Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or in Santa’s workshop?

If the gingerbread house constantly smelt of gingerbread, then Santa’s workshop. HOWEVER if the house didn’t smell like that, then the gingerbread house. 😛 Not going to lie, I actually really love that question. 😛

8. Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions!

As our first Christmas was last year, I don’t actually know if we’ve fully made any yet. We watched Sausage Party last year and ordered a curry. I wouldn’t want to make having a takeaway a tradition to be honest. Just cuddling and watching Christmas films, or new films would be nice. I want to try and cook us something really nice this Christmas Eve. I’m thinking of getting some nibbly party food for me and Dane to have.

9. If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?

Definitely Dane. 🙂

10. What tops your Christmas tree?

We have a blue star, although I keep meaning to bring the angel that I used to top my tree with at home.

11. Can you name the 12 days of Christmas?

A funny story though, me and my cousin one Christmas Eve we were watching TV and came up with a rude 12 days of Christmas. I won’t write it here, but I am legit texting it to her now! *many moments later* Okay I did it. 😛

12. Have you ever gone Christmas caroling?

I was about to write no, but I actually did once when I was at school! I was part of the choir when I was in secondary school and we were taken to an old people’s home to sing to them one Christmas. It was lovely to be honest and I was gutted that it was never done again. 😦

13. Do you countdown to Christmas? If so, how many days left?

I can’t help but countdown to be honest! Whether it’s hearing it on the radio, reading about it on social media, or just events coming up so quickly you forget where the time has gone. Currently it is just under 2 weeks until Christmas. DAYUM!

14. What are some foods and treats you can count on having every holiday season?

I’m not sure to be honest, probably just the usual stuff. I always try and get a chocolate cake, especially one that contains salted caramel! You can never go wrong with that sort of stuff. 😛 OH and chocolate truffles! Oh man, I want to go to Aldi now to buy yummy goodies ready for Christmas! xD

15. How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you’ve grown older?

To be honest I haven’t always had the “Christmas magic” that many people have, purely because of always being made to feel let down over the years, not just by family, but mostly by my friends. Christmas is a time of being happy and celebration, but it’s also a time of people being selfish, as well as being sad. I think since meeting Dane in 2013 my Christmases have gotten better and better! We always do nice things together, as well as with our friends and families and it’s lovely. I wouldn’t say I have any Christmas magic, I just use it as a time to appreciate the people in my life more and more each year. You know? 🙂

Autumn Tag 2017

Another year, another autumn tag!

Just want to say first of all, HELLO! I feel like I haven’t been around for forever, when it’s only been about 3 weeks. As many will know I just got back (early hours of Thursday) from a 2 week holiday in Fuerteventura. It was amazing and to be honest I just felt like I’d gone home (which I kind of did tbf seeing as I’ve been there for more times than I can count and have a house there…) and had time off of work etc.

I’ll be writing LOADS of posts Fuerteventura related over the next couple of weeks so keep your eyes peeled for those! For now however I need to get an autumn related post out there. Autumn started whilst I was on holiday and Thursday morning when me and Dane went out for a very naughty McDonald’s breakfast I noticed that autumn well and truly started whilst we were gone.

Every year I do a post with an autumn tag, and this year is no different from the rest. I hope you enjoy this one, I’ve tried to find one that isn’t an exact replica of previous years. 🙂

Quick disclaimer… The use of both the terms Autumn and Fall kept chopping and changing throughout this tag and whilst I didn’t notice it, Dane did as he was sat next to me. His point about fall being an American term for autumn and the chopping and changing of the two was very accurate… So I changed Fall to Autumn. Got to be British and accurate/correct, right? 😛

1. What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

When the leaves start to change in colour. I just love the yellow, orange and brown colours of autumn so much and it’s when the leaves go this colour that I know I can start saying we’re in autumn territory.

2. What is your favourite Autumn scent?

I always forgot about how much I love it but La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain is definitely one I love to wear as the weather gets colder. Since the day I first smelt it it has always reminded me of Lush’s discontinued Space Girl bath bomb. It has a warm blackcurrant/blackberry type scent which I love. I’ve owned this for ages and it’s still lasting so well! As soon as it runs out I’ll definitely be buying a new one!

3. What is your favourite Autumn colour?

Mustard yellow and burgundy. Always have been and always will be! Which in turn reminds me that I need to get a new mustard yellow jumper. I’ve seen one in Zara which I’ll be picking up very soon. My previous one was from there and it was so damn comfortable!

4. What is your favourite Autumn drink?

I’m always down for hot drinks… But I wouldn’t say I’m much of an autumn drink gal. I’m more of a winter hot drink person. If I could pick anything thought it’d definitely be something salted caramel related! I can’t remember when BUT I do remember Starbucks bringing out a burnt salted caramel latte and it was amazing. I wish they would make it permanent. 😦

5. What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this Autumn?

I’m definitely excited for Stranger Things 2 to come out! I’m also really excited to continue to binge watch American Horror Story with Dane. Now we’re back from holiday we’ll be starting on season 3 very soon… AKA later on today. I’m also loving that seasons 21 of South Park has kicked off, as well as the new season of British Bake Off, which I am loving this year.

6. What is your favourite Autumn fashion trend?

It’s got to be Dr Martens boots and sweaters with prints of my favourite things on! I’m really after a new pair of Docs this year and I’m forever after new sweaters! 😛 I bought a new one whilst I was in Fuerteventura (which I’ll be showing in a haul VERY SOON!) and I’ve seen a sweater dress from Bershka that I’m going to buy soon too.

7. What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?

I don’t really have one to be honest… BUT since being on holiday I want to go for walks with Dane in the countryside. We did loads of walking when we were away and if there’s a season I want to do this with, it’s autumn.

8. What is your favourite makeup look come autumnal weather?

As I only wear lipstick, a gorgeous dark and vampy look is always a good look no matter what! I’ve bought a new dark purple recently by Barry M (which I’ll be reviewing soon!) and it looks stunning, especially for autumn.

So that was the autumn tag! I’m so damn excited to be at home as it’s started to kick off. I never had it when I lived at home, but in my own home me and Dane have the best autumnal view in our front room, which I love more than anything.

Identity Tag

I recently found this tag post over on Tori’s blog and I wanted to post it today as I’m due to go on holiday in LESS THAN A WEEK NOW! OMG! Due to this I’m a little busy today on my day off and I actually need to start packing my suitcase, or it’ll be left until the last minute. 😛

I love doing tag posts so let’s get on with it! 😀

If they made a song about your life what genre would it be?

It would definitely be in the rock genre and probably a slow sort of rock with some powerful guitar solos thrown in there for good measure.

What is your sole purpose in life?

To have a happy life with Dane. To do whatever makes us happy and be comfortable. Have a lovely home with at least one child, a miniature schnauzer puppy and many holidays to Japan.

What do you regret doing?

I regret not studying a degree I could get some use from.

What are your strengths?

I’m passionate about the things I love, whenever someone needs me for anything I like to think I can be an honest shoulder to cry on. I’m also good at writing, I like to think so at least…

What are your weaknesses?

I get wound up and pissed off too easily. My anxiety can stop me doing things that I really want to do. Oh and I bear grudges.

What is one thing that people might not know about you?

Erm… I dunno really… That I love Marmite? xD

What has been the best decision of you life?

Joining Plenty of Fish for a laugh back in 2013. I wouldn’t have met Dane if I hadn’t and God knows who I would be with now and if I’d have my lovely home. It’s from meeting Dane that my inner geek came out. I just became the person I am due to him and I am thankful for that everyday.

What are you afraid of and why?

I’m afraid of fucking up and losing all of this. Although I am low most days and suicidal I am at the same time thankful and happy with what I have with Dane and how he has shaped me and helped me be who I really am and who I have always wanted to be. The fear of change and loss bugs me.

This Or That: Summer Tag

I know we’re still in summer for well over a month BUT before we know it summer will be over, so I thought I would take part in this tag today before I NEVER get the chance to!

1. Ocean or Pool
I like both to be honest for different reasons. When I went to Fuerteventura with Dane for the first time it was also the first time I went into the ocean properly and I actually really loved it! I’d probably choose ocean over pool though to be honest.

2. Beach Vacation or Wilderness
Definitely beach vacation! I’ve done wilderness before but I didn’t like it that much. I found that I couldn’t wait to get back home and I don’t want to feel like that when I’m supposed to be getting away.

3. Watermelon or Strawberries
Neither! Allergic to watermelon and I can’t stand strawberries.

4. Bikini or 1-piece
Bikini! At least you can get a tan on your tummy in one. 😛

5. Lemonade or Iced Tea
Iced tea!

Either way as long as they’re cooked. 😛

What’s the difference? Anything that keeps me protected from the sun and gets me a tan all in one.

Depends on the mood I’m in really. Usually opt for ice cream though in this country and ice lollies in Fuerteventura.

So those are my answers for the summer this and that quiz! I really enjoyed giving it a go whilst I chilled out after my bath. I can’t believe that in just over a months time we’ll be into autumn weather. This year is going by so quickly!

Best Friend Tag!

I’ve been a bit quiet the past which, which I apologise for hundreds of millions of times! My reason for it is just because I’ve been too busy and tired after work and just wanted a bit of a break from blogging.

BUT I AM BACK and with a tag that I couldn’t wait to put up on my blog for you guys to read. I don’t know if I speak for many but I LOVE reading posts from bloggers that enable you to get to know more about the person behind the blog. I also love being able to find out more about them through their friends through posts and tags like this one.

Sadly I can’t remember the blogger who I found this tag through and when I tried to locate her blog my computer decided that it was a massive virus and blocked her blog. Oh dear. >.<

But yeah I wanted to do this tag to show all my bloggers what an amazing bestie I have and how much I love her! So we answered the questions to the tag via Facebook messenger and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. 😛

So I hope you enjoy this tag!

1. How and when did you meet?
Gabriella: On a forum in late 2008/early 2009. We used to talk on MSN, which shows how long we’ve been friends!
Nat: As Gabriella said we met on a forum that we do not name! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years next year! :O

2. What’s your favourite memory together?
G: That’s a tough one. I’d say meeting Benedict Cumberbatch together.
N: I’d probably say that day as well! I remember that evening so well, it was amazing.

3. Describe each other in one word.
G: Passionate.
N: Intelligent.

4. What’s her dream job?
G: Something to do with acting or writing 🙂
N: A psychology teacher, Japanese translator/Japanese teacher or even acting or singing. ^_^

5. What’s her favourite makeup brand?
G: Oh god. Now that’s a tough one. I don’t think she has an ultimate favourite. She likes a lot of different brands.
N: Ooo I don’t know to be perfectly honest with you… I want to say Barry M but I put this down to her recently staying over and us looking at the Barry M goodies. 😛 Although I own a beauty blog, we rarely talk about make up haha!

6. What is something that annoys you about the other person?
G: I don’t think anything does really? I wish she’d have more confidence in herself, but I don’t consider that an annoyance.
N: To be honest that she doesn’t live closer because I miss her face all the time. Otherwise she’s perfect to me just the way she is!

7. If you could go anywhere in the world together, where would it be?
G: Japan! Preferably when we could see the sakura blossoms bloom.
N: Gabriella has already said it! Apart from Dane if there is one person I REALLY want to go to Japan with its Gabriella. I also want to go and see the sakura… I think we both need to plan something like this in the future…

8. Favourite inside joke?
G: Ben and Tommy Cream Pie ice cream. XD
N: HAHAHA oh man I remember when we both thought of that! 😛 Oh man inside jokes… Anything rude and to do with men we fangirl over! Don’t think we can top Ben and Tommy Cream Pie ice cream though! I legit didn’t try and make a picture of that. 😛

9. Who takes longer to get ready in the morning?
G: Natalee definitely.
N: Yeah I always take ages to get ready.

10. Favourite season?
G: Summer, maybe?
N: Autumn for me. I love getting ready for Halloween and Bonfire night. September is my favourite month because of it. I’d like to say autumn or winter for Gab.

11. Favourite song?
G: I don’t actually know. We rarely discuss music.
N: Yeah we’ve never really discussed music much. I’d like to guess something by MCR though. I could be wrong…

12. What is it like being best friends with someone who is obsessed with blogging?
G: I’m all for her having hobbies, especially ones that encourage creativity, and doing something she obviously enjoys so much.
N: Thank you sweetie! I love asking you to write for my blog too as I love having you be a part of something I love doing so much. 🙂

13. Heels or flats?
G: Flats!
N: FLATS! I do own heels and boots but I only ever wore them in my room as I was too scared to wear them out. I remember when we went to see Benedict Cumberbatch Gab wore heeled boots and I was all, “GIRL WHAT ARE THOSE ON YOUR FEET?!” Usually she wore Converse or Vans so I felt like I was witnessing a younger sister all grown up and going to the ball. 😛

14. Comedy, horror, or chick-flick?
G: I’d say comedy.
N: It depends I like a bit of everything. I love my drama films though, especially UK based ones.

15. What is something weird that she eats?
G: Marmite. It’s just gross.
N: Apart from Marmite Gab eats a lot of the same stuff as I do. I can’t think of anything to be honest.

G: I think we have a matching John Watson jumper? Other than that, I don’t think so.
N: You know what? I was thinking about that John Watson jumper the other day and how much I loved wearing it in the winter! With the brown elbow patches. 😛 I think we probably own some matching Primark/Asda pyjamas too but that’s about it. We need more matching clothes. Yuri on Ice maybe? 😉

So that’s the best friend tag! I had so much fun doing this post with Gabriella! I guess it’s a shame there wasn’t more questions for us to both answer really. I may create another one myself like this in the future to do a year from today? What do you guys think?
