February Wish List 17

I’m still on a “spending ban” so I don’t actually know why I’m making this post… 😛 I’m not going to lie, my wish list posts are probably my favourite to write as I like to share some awesome new stuff that I want to add to my home, as well as to my lipstick and geeky collections.

So sod the spending ban! I’ll continue to do these posts until I don’t want to write them anymore! There won’t be anything too special on the list this month however… Just stuff I want to buy and cannot. Le sigh.

 photo February Wish List 17_zpsd86ucrks.jpg

  • ASOS Reclaimed Vintage Black Sabbath Long Sleeve Top – £35.00 (link)

I recently discovered this piece thanks to Zoe London as she bought it herself and was talking about it in a video. To be honest though a lot of fashion YouTuber’s have bought this piece lately and it’s just made me want to get it myself more and more. Sadly it is out of stock at the moment… I’m hoping it’ll come back in stock in my size so I can erm… Maybe order one… ONLY A MAYBE CALM YO’ TITS!

  • Good Smile Company Deadpool Nendoroid – £42.99 (link)

As regular readers will know me and Dane love and collect Nendoroid’s and from the day it was announced we knew we would be getting the Deadpool one. I mean look how cute he is! We were planning on buying him this month ready for what we thought was his release date at the end of the month. Sadly that isn’t until next month… We can still pre-order him though as we intending on getting him as a Valentine’s treat to ourselves. 😛 What an excuse eh???

  • Disturbia Kiss My Ass Acid Wash Shorts – WAS £29.95 – NOW £22.95 (link)

I’ve wanted these jeans for quite a while now after I found someone selling them on Depop. I didn’t actually know they were still available to buy from the actual store until recently when I decided to check out their sales. I would love a new pair of denim shorts as I haven’t bought myself a new pair for quite some time now. I’d pair them up with geeky t-shirts and tuck them in. I doubt I’ll get these due to spending ban, but they’ll stay on my wish list for as long as possible.

  • Ray Ban Glasses – £98.00 (link)

I went for an eye test the weekend just gone after about two years of going without one and sadly my eyes have worsened, which means that I need to get a new set of lenses… Probably frames too it depends. I looked for ages in the opticians that I went into for a new pair and the one Ray Ban pair I liked were bloody expensive and the second pair I liked were nice but seemed really cheap. I had a mooch online and found Glasses Direct who sell designer frames at really good prices! They also sort out your lenses for you too, including thinning them down, which is what mine will need doing to them… Due to the blindness and all. I’ll hopefully get some soon but we shall see! I do really like my current frames so I don’t know why I should change them… A lot of people don’t want to put new lenses into them though which is annoying!

  • Nintendo 3DS Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World – £34.99 (link)

If there’s a Nintendo character that I really like (apart from Pokemon of course…) it’s definitely Yoshi! He’s just so damn cute and adorable and I just wish he was real. I especially love the little woolly Yoshi that was realised to coincide with the wii U version of the game a few years ago and really wanted to get one myself to put in my bedroom at the time. NOW the 3DS is finally getting its own version of this game which is really exciting! I gave the demo a go recently and really did enjoy playing it, so much so I’d love to pick it up today if possible as that’s when it comes out! 😛

  • Pusheen Colouring Book – £9.99 (link)

I’ve been after this colouring book FOR AGGGGGES as I love Pusheen so much! I guess I just want something I can faff about with and just relax with instead of playing games or reading, as sometimes I’m not always in the mood to do either of those. This being said, surely this colouring book with mostly consist of grey? 😛

So that was my wish list for February! Although I’m on a spending ban there are probably a couple of things off of the list that I’ll end up buying due to needing them (glasses), Valentine’s Day gift (Deadpool Nendoroid) and because I fancy a new game (YOSHIIIII!) but we shall see… We shall see.

What are on your wish lists for the month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you had a lovely week.

September ’16 Wish List

Gosh I really struggled to get this wish list put together this month and I really don’t know why! I did feel like I was lusting after more things coming up to September but alas that doesn’t appear to be the case.

I managed to scrape a list together mind and I can actually see September being a very naughty month for me… I would have included the Kat Von D items I’m hoping to pick up from Debenhams mid September but I want to have a separate post for that.

But for now here is my wish list for September, woohoo!

 photo September 2016 Wish List_zpswkbnq9hz.jpg

  • Beauty Bakerie Matte Lip Whip in She’s Just Jelly – £15.95 (link)

As regular readers of my blog will know I love wearing lipsticks and especially liquid lipsticks. Although I love my Jeffree Star Cosmetics liquid lipsticks I am always open to trying other brands. I have heard nothing but great things about Beauty Bakerie and would love to give their matte lip whips a go! I’ve had my eye on She’s Just Jelly which is a lovely dark purple shade, which will be perfect for autumn and winter.

  • Oh K! Cherry Blossom Hand Cream – £6.50 (link)

I’ve heard quite a bit about Oh K! recently from various bloggers and it looks like such an adorable brand, very kawaii! I have wanted something from the range for quite a while now but I hadn’t quite seen anything I liked the look of until now. I love hand cream and can never get enough of it, I put this down to my eczema… But how adorable is the packaging for this hand cream??? It’s an adorable panda and I would make sure to keep reusing the pot after using the hand cream up. Plus it has a cherry blossom scent, can’t get any better than that eh? I’ll be keeping my eye on this and picking it up when I need a treat.

  • Blink-182 California Album – £4.99 (link)

I have listened to this album already… Many times in fact and I love it so much! I haven’t listened to an album like this for a long time where I just want to keep listening to it, so I’m really pleased about that as you may have guessed. The band just seem better off without Tom DeLonge and instead with Matt Skiba. I always preferred +44 because their music just wasn’t kiddy and silly all the time. If you loved +44 like I did then you will love Blink-182 now Tom has gone!  I don’t know if I’ll buy this as a CD, instead I might just pick it up on iTunes. I can’t believe how cheap CD’s are now!

  • Soft Kitty Clothing Pastel Pika Dress – £17.00 (link)

I’m a sucker for lycra clothing, usually Black Milk Clothing but 1. they’re super expensive and 2. they haven’t yet released a Pokemon collection. I recently discovered Soft Kitty Clothing through a seller on Depop and decided to check out the clothing on their website for myself. Well there really are some little gems on there, including this dress. I’m a massive Pokemon nerd so this dress is really up my street, and at £17.00 it’s a complete bargain too. I don’t know if I’ll ever buy this to be honest as whilst I am brave enough to wear all sorts out and about, I don’t know if I would be able to feel confident in this dress… I guess teamed up with some nice shoes and a cool jacket I could pull it off… We shall see. I would love if they made an Eeveelutions or Mew dress.

  • Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask – £10.57 (link)

If you haven’t heard or seen people talking about this mask on blogs and YouTube then you need to crawl up from under your rock and get searching. This is a Korean face mask that everyone seems to be trying at the moment. It’s a mask that reacts with oxygen to foam up and expand, and let me tell you it looks really cool! I’ll pop the link to where Bunny over at grav3yardgirl tried it. I really want to give this a go as not only does it look cool but it actually sounds like an awesome face mask to try.

  • Village Candle Wax Melts in Sugarplum Fairy – £3.90 (link)

Village Candle are a brand I haven’t tried before but Dane has and they are beautiful candles. Just as good as Yankee Candle’s to be honest. Near to where I live someone was selling these in a store so I got to smell pretty much all the scents. Sadly when I went to go and purchase this she had left and was only selling online from then on. Was a real shame to be honest but meh at least I can buy from her online. Sugarplum Fairy is a scent that I can’t really describe… All I can say about it is that it smells sweet and reminds me of something I would have smelt and fallen in love with as a child. I’m burning wax tarts like crazy of late so I would love to add these to my collection in the future.

  • Build A Bear Pokemon Eevee Set – £48.50 (link)

I have saved the best until last for this post and this is definitely something I will be buying as soon as I am paid (in 6 days!!!!!) as I really want it! I heard about the rumor of an Eevee joining the Build A Bear store but I didn’t quite believe it… That is until pictures leaked. Due to all the leaks and excitement around this teddy Build A Bear decided to release it early. AHHH! At the time of writing this post the Eevee came out today, and has already sold out in America. I know it’s expensive but there is a reason for that. You get the Eevee, two outfits, a voice box inside so it can speak and a limited edition Pokemon card exclusively for Build A Bear. I really want to order this right now, but I’m skint so I won’t be able to. Plus it’s now out of stock in the UK… Sad times. This is so damn cute! I’d end up keeping it downstairs in the living room to snuggle into whilst watching TV with Dane. I’m such a big kid, I don’t even care!

So that was my wish list for September! What goodies do you have your eye on this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time all take care and I hope you’re having a lovely weekend so far.

February ’16 Wish List

We’re down one month of 2016 already! Only 11 more to go and it’ll be Christmas and New Year all over again. 😛 I was a little spend happy throughout January, so I need to watch my money this month and be good. Lipsticks won’t help me buy a house, sadly. This being said, there are a few bits and pieces I am still after this month, and it never hurts to lust after things, does it?

february20201620wish20list_zpsqrmi0fpw

  • Benefit The POREfessional: Instant Wipeout Masks – £24.50 (link)

Benefit have a few new goodies coming out for their POREfessional range, one of them being the Matte Rescue gel, which I was so excited to try and pick up! These are little face masks which you can use all over the face. They’re like nose strip style shape and size, BUT they aren’t pore strips. They’re a liquid face mask which you can apply to the nose, chin, forehead, and cheeks, as they have up to 10 uses from what the woman told me on the Benefit counter. I would have bought some when I was there the weekend, but they’re not cheap and these will be a product I’ll pick up as a real treat to use once every fortnight. I don’t really have issues with my pores, I just have an oily t-zone. My boyfriend would probably love these mind. I want to look into these more though, they sound cool.

  • New Look Black Turtle Neck Cold Shoulder Jumper – £22.99 (link)

I’m a huge fan of the cold shoulder look on long sleeved, black garments and I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHY! Is it a trend from the 90’s that I love? Or grunge? What is it people, can anyone tell me? I have a black long sleeved t-shirt from New Look that shares the cold shoulder look, and it’s one of my favourite black t-shirts to wear now. So why not add a jumper into my wardrobe to throw on when it’s nippy? Not only do I love the cold shoulder look, but I happen to love turtle necks too. I think it’s the whole wrapping up warm aspect for me. I wish I had gone in New Look and had a butchers for this when I was in town last weekend, but I never thought of it at the time. I would love to pick this up though to rock with a skirt, some denim shorts, or a light wash skinny fit jean. The Dr Martens in this wish list would look great with them too, as well as my Jake Dr Martens (post about those here)

  • ASOS Swing Dress In Star Print With Eyelet Detail – £15.00 down from £30.00 (link)

I wouldn’t have known this dress existed if it wasn’t for Hannah Gale, who recently featured it on her blog, as well as one of her vlogs. She looks gorgeous in it and I loved how she teamed it up with a belt and some boots (you can view how she dressed it up here). I don’t know how the hell I would dress it up if I bought it, but I’d rock it all over the spring and summer months. I showed it to my boyfriend and he isn’t sure on it, but that being said I will keep my eye on it and see how I feel. It looks beautiful on Hannah, but it might not look as nice on me. :’) It just look so airy, and the perfect dress to wear if you want to look great, but feel like shit.

  • Dr Martens Serena Faux Fur Lined Boot – £110.00 (link)

I have wanted a pair of these boots for years… Since before I even met Dane and I met him three years ago this year (God that’s flown by!). I’ve found a pair cheaper on eBay, and although I would jump at the chance to buy them usually and still say, “BUT IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!” I need to be a little more realistic now. I need to save money, and I still have my Jake Dr Martens, which I only got in September when I finished university. I love those Dr Martens… BUT yellow Dr Martens with silly faces on aren’t always practical… Especially when I just want to rock some black clothing and look like the inner goth that I am. 😛 I shall see how I feel in the future, but Dr Martens want to be something I rock more this year and onward. They’re amazing boots, and a shoe brand that I really adore.

  • Marvel Deadpool Men’s Varsity Jacket – £29.99 (link)

I wanted to save the best until last, and it’s hard to choose between this and the last item! As everyone knows, the new Deadpool movie is out next week and let me tell you, I am so fucking excited! I have been a fan of Ryan Reynolds for 10 years, and Deadpool is my favourite Marvel character too. I came across this having a nose for some present ideas for my boyfriend and have fallen in love. I don’t really need anymore jackets, but this one is just too nice to pass up. I love wearing my boyfriends jackets, they’re just so comfortable and as this is a man’s jacket I could get away with buying a small size and rocking it with some skinny fit jeans, and boots or Vans. It isn’t expensive either for an official licensed product!

  • Pokemon Yellow on 2DS and 3DS – Price TBC

This is the item I saved until last. The only thing I know about it is that it is due to come out on the Nintendo eShop on 27th February, the same date the original three Pokemon games (Red, Blue, and Yellow) came out 20 years ago! I don’t know how much they’ll be, I imagine something like £10-£20. Anymore than that would be a bit of a rip off to be honest… I will be getting Pokemon Yellow, as this was always my favourite to play. I know my boyfriend is going to get one too, so we can play and trade Pokemon together. Anyone who isn’t going to be buying these bad boys, WHY NOT? I’m hella excited.

So that was my wish list for this month. I need to save money so the only things I can really see me buying is the Deadpool jacket, and Pokemon Yellow. Two nerdy things I am super excited for this month.

What goodies are my readers after this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and hope you’re having a great week.

#FashionProblems

This is a very different post today, but something I felt compelled to write about after some serious fashion stress last night.

As “winter is coming” (I don’t EVEN LIKE Game of Thrones!) I always have a look around the shops for a new winter coat. I didn’t buy one last year as I have my amazing Topshop parka that I have used the past two years. It’s warm and amazing and cozy and I wouldn’t replace it for anything, BUT when it comes to going out in the evenings for Christmas parties and such, I would like to be able to wear a coat that isn’t heavy, and too cozy, and RED. I have a red duffle coat but due to owning it for about 5 years, it is starting to see its last days. So what better than to look around for a new one.

I looked on Topshop, New Look, and even ASOS and you know what I got when I selected the “red” colour? BURGUNDY! Which just reminded me of Kinky Boots, and this sassy as hell clip…

When I click red, I want red! I love burgundy, don’t get me wrong, but I love red more. If there is a colour that suits me a hell of a lot, it is the colour red.

Years ago I probably did want a burgundy coat, which soon fizzled away. I just don’t understand why burgundy wouldn’t have its own option during the autumn and winter season. Same with the colour mustard as well! Even though that is closer to yellow than burgundy is to red.

Although I do not agree with this… Sex should be comfy, and so should my red coat to be! 😛

With no luck of finding anything red, I thought I would show you what berry coloured coats I have found on ASOS that are still beautiful.

1./2./3.

Do you have fashion problems? If so let me know! Or tag me on Twitter (@maybeecoffee) with the hashtag and let me know your fashion problem.

Until next time, take care all and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Boxing Day Sales and What I Picked up!

Oh sales, we all love them, don’t we? However over the years I have found sales shopping has become more of a chore than a joy and after the chaos that I faced last year, I was put off going out shopping in them this year.

I waited a week before I ventured out and whilst it was still a little busy, it wasn’t too crazy. I also shopped online, which was good as I got to sit on my lazy arse, in my nice soft bed and not worry about any queuing or cold winter breezes.

So before I go away for two weeks I thought I would show you what I picked up.

This first thing I picked up was this beautiful clutch bag. Although this is a sales haul, I didn’t actually pick this up in the sales. I bought it Christmas Day as a little Christmas gift to myself. I’d had my eye on it for ages, ever since Lily Melrose wrote a blog post about it back in December. The stock of the back was running low so I decided to pick one up whilst I could, and with being a student I got £3.00 knocked off of it! Can’t complain at that, eh? I have to add how this isn’t the cheapest clutch bag in the world at £30.00… But I wanted it and I only really paid £27.00 so it isn’t that bad… Is it?  This bag is lovely though, it’s described as mermaid which I thought was amazing as it really does resemble a mermaid’s tail. This is also real leather, which is probably one of the reasons why this clutch bag is a little on the expensive side. I used this on New Years Eve and I loved it! It’s really roomy inside and feels a nice size to carry around. I’m taking it on holiday with me so I can use it in the evenings, I can’t wait!

These items are going to turn into a little bit of a rant… On Boxing Day I ordered some goodies from Lush and have I received them yet? NO! This is the first and last time I’ll be ordering from Lush online again as quite frankly their online service is rubbish. Rant over, onto what I bought. I picked up So White, Golden Wonder and Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bombs in their sale. These were all going at less than £2.00 each, so I picked up 5 So White’s, 2 Golden Wonder’s and 1 or 2 Luxury Lush Puds. Considering there were probably over £3.00 each, I think I got some pretty good deals! When they finally arrive I’ll be so excited to give these a go! Going to use So White on my birthday tomorrow, so will smell of yummy apples all day.

For the past four or five years I’ve had a Simon’s Cat diary and this year was no different. When I went to Cheltenham this weekend me and my boyfriend had a look in the Calendar Club shop to see what we could pick up nice. This was meant to be £8.99 but I picked it up for just over £4.00 or £5.00, which is a bargain in my eyes! So glad I have this again. I know I received an amazing organiser for Christmas, but I want that to take out and about with me, this diary will stay at home.

Alongside that whilst I didn’t buy it, my boyfriend picked it up in the sales for me. I’ve been lusting after Yoshi’s Island for months and when he saw it for £30 in the sale, he picked it up for me, which was really nice. I think this game has always been around that price anyway but either way it was lovely of him to pick this up for me as he knew how much I wanted it. I’ve been playing it quite a bit, but I know I’ll play it loads whilst I’m on holiday!

This was an absolute bargain! I had actually popped this OPI set on my Christmas wish list and no one bought it for me! So on a quick shopping trip out I had a look at what was on sale in my local Sally, as they always have some good sale items on offer! Of course this set wasn’t cheap when it was full price at an astonishing £12.00, so when they told me it only cost £4.50 in the sale I was gobsmacked. So glad I picked this up in the sale though as it’s such a pretty polish and one I know I’ll be reviewing when I’m back from my holiday. I might even wear this whilst I’m on holiday!

This was another item my boyfriend bought for me, but I was going to buy it myself! The reason for his offering to buy this for me is that he really liked it, obviously so much that he was willing to buy it. Can’t moan at that can I? This is an Iron Fist dress and one I had been contemplating buying for a while now. Originally £44.99 and in the sale for £26.99. However when this was put into our basket the price was dropped an extra £10.00 so it only came to £16.99! Bargain or what!? I wore this dress out for New Years Eve and I really did love wearing it. I was really worried that this would be too short for me as it looks really short on the model, but alas this was the perfect length on me. I will definitely be wearing this in the evenings when going out for drinks and for the odd meal. I really love this dress and I can’t wait to wear it again.

This is the last sale item I picked up, and whilst I’m sure I’ll buy more before I go away I just wanted to save one of my favourite bargains until last. I wanted to get myself some new shoes for holiday and whilst I was after a pair of grunge style sandals or some flat shoes I ended up getting these. Whilst in Cheltenham I had a nose in Schuh at what they might have on in the sale and I spotted these Star Wars Vans slip on trainers in the sale. I had my eye on these a few months back but forgot about them until I ventured back into the shop. These were originally £50, down to £29.99! I left it to get some lunch and came back to try them on. Due to my feet being a size 7 and Vans not going over a size 6 in women’s shoes, there was an issue… Although these shoes are for both men and women the men’s ones weren’t in the sale. The women in the store were lovely though and sympathised with my problem so offered to knock the men’s size 7 down to £29.99, which I thought was really nice of them. So after more thinking about it I picked these up! My aunt gave me £20.00 for Christmas so I decided to use that on these shoes, so all I had to pay was £9.99! I can see these being worn a lot over the summer season this year as they’re my new summer trainers. I’m taking them on holiday with me to wear in the day if it isn’t too warm and during the evenings. I wouldn’t say I’m the largest Star Wars fan, but I do really like it! When episode one came out my brother tried to get me into Star Wars as much as possible and he succeeded pretty well. My favourite character is R2D2 and I’m so gutted they didn’t make a pair of Vans with him on them… There is still hope for the future!

So that was my Boxing Day sales haul!

Did you go sales shopping? If so, what did you pick up? Let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend.

July Wish List

Another month, another wish list and boy is it scary that it’s now the seventh month of the year. Only five more left and we’ll be Christmas shopping.

After Bristol I’ve decided that I want to go on a shopping ban, but however towards the end of June I bought a few things I didn’t need… MAC lipstick, clothes, you know.

But I have decided from July until I save up the money I wish to save up, I’ll be going on a spending ban, only buying things I REALLY need or know I really want and will use.

So although I am going to be on a spending ban now, it doesn’t hurt to have a wish list of things I would like to one day own, so here they are!

July Wish List

  • ASOS Sweatshirt with Lady and the Tramp Print.

Although this sweatshirt is now sold out, and probably has been for quite a long time I still really want it and it’ll be on my mind until either ASOS bring it back to their website (which I doubt) or I find someone selling it on eBay! It’s a gorgeous sweatshirt with Lady and the Tramp print on it. I have the sweatpants, which I bought in the ASOS sale at the end of June and I love them to bits, so to have the sweatshirt to match with them would be amazing. This was £30 on their website, so I pray in the future that I can pick it up for half the price, if not less on eBay. Zoella is famous for sporting both the sweatpants and the sweatshirts, which is where I discovered it!

  • Black iPhone 5 Case with Silver Spikes – eBay.

I’ve wanted a spiked case for my phone for ages and now I have an iPhone where phone cases of all shapes and sizes are a possibility! These just look awesome and I’ve started to drift away from using my red wrap around phone case when I go out, to changing to using my pug phone case, which I love quite a bit. This case costs less than £5.00 which is a bargain in my eyes! This would look great during the autumn and winter months and will go with the grunge look I like to dress up in.

  • Dr Martens Studded Belt.

I saw this belt in Bristol when my boyfriend bought me my Dr Martens dress (mentioned here and here) and I loved it, but at the £45.00 price tag, I don’t think it’ll be something I’ll be buying in such a hurry. They do have it in a white version for £30.00 in the sale, which I equally have my eye on, but for £15 more I would prefer the black version, as black works with everything. I love studded belts and when my blue studded belt died on me after six years I decided I best buy a new one… But that was nearly a year ago now and I’m still after a new studded belt. I need to wear a belt with my jeans and I’m currently using my army one which I’ve owned since I was thirteen/fourteen and over the ten years I’ve had it, it’s doing me good! I do really want a studded belt though and eventually I can see me picking one up, probably this one. It’s real leather and just looks gorgeous. Can’t go wrong with Dr Martens to be honest!

  • Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo.

I mentioned a few days ago over on my June empties post how I’d been given a sample of this shampoo to try out and fell in love with it… And now I want it! It isn’t cheap however at £18.50 for a somewhat small bottle (250ml) but it’s a lovely shampoo and one I’d only use once a week, alongside my Philip Kingsley shampoo. This being said I think I’ll wait a while until I purchase this, as I’m not in any rush to try a new shampoo right now. This was lovely though for giving my hair some extra volume, as well as making it look, smell and feel gorgeous!

  • Urban Outfitters Black Holographic Nail Polish.

I discovered this nail polish in Bristol’s Urban Outfitters store and fell in love with it… But at the £12 price tag I decided to leave it. It’s a little on the pricey side for my liking and I’m pretty sure there are plenty of affordable holographic polishes out there, not to mention that I already have GOSH’s one night holographic nail polish, so it isn’t like I don’t own  one already! I’ll be keeping my eye on this, maybe I’ll have it as a treat in future… I’m unsure right now.

  • MAC Pure Heroine Lipstick from the Lorde Collection.

I’ve wanted this lipstick ever since it was announced earlier this year and right now I am craving to buy it so badly. I just want it, I want it so damn much! It’s a gorgeous dark plum purple shade and its limited edition! It’s only available from MAC’s website to buy and only costs £15.00. I am still in two frames of mind whether or not to pick it up, but I know I won’t because I really am trying to be good and only two weeks ago did I buy myself a new MAC lipstick… It’d be naughty to buy another one. There are so many dupes out of this lipstick that maybe I’ll just buy one of those and see how I get on, we shall see. Damn I want this lipstick so badly though!

  • Yankee Candle Coconut & Pineapple Reed Diffuser from the Coconut Collection.

At the Yankee Candle shop in Bristol I FINALLY got to smell two of the scents from the Coconut Collection that I have wanted to smell for a good year or two now, the Coconut & Vanilla bean scent and the Coconut & Pineapple scent. I’m a sucker for anything that smells like a pina colada and this smells just like it, creamy coconut and zesty pineapple, but no alcohol… Which can be either a good or bad thing, depending on yourself. 😛 I nearly bought the reed diffuser whilst in Bristol but I decided to leave it, as I knew I’d be able to pick this up at any time. This isn’t expensive either at £12.99 and I can really see me picking up soon as sometimes I don’t wish to burn a candle and a reed diffuser can be really good, as well as make a nice change.

So that’s my wish list for this month! What do you want at the moment? Let me know in the comments!

I hope I don’t end up buying any of these, meant to be on a spending ban now. 😛

Until next time take care all and I’ll see you after the weekend!

Swing & Smock Dresses Wish List

I won’t lie, I used to HATE swing and smock dresses when they first hit the shops. I thought they looked unshapely and caused anyone who wore them to look pregnant. However after seeing a couple of fashion bloggers posting about them I came to realise that maybe they weren’t all that bad and in some ways they were actually flattering.

For my 24th birthday (at the start of this month) my Mom asked if I would like any clothes for my birthday and I had a look at what was out there. I ended up ordering a pair of boyfriend jeans, some new DC trainers and a Fearne Cotton swing dress. I worried that upon trying it on when it arrived that it would make me look bigger than I actually am… Or as if I was carrying a small person inside my belly but instead it was rather flattering and both my Mom and my boyfriend said how lovely it looked.

Since then I have been HOOKED and have my eye on a lot of these dresses now to buy myself as a treat or even when my spending ban in over as I hope they will all be in sales by then!

So I thought I would share with you the dresses I’ve spotted!

Shift & Smock Dresses

There are five dresses in total that I’ll be talking about and each is different in all sorts of ways. I’ll be going from left to right, starting on the top row and then going onto the bottom row. I’ll be linking to each dress anyhoo so if you get confused on which dress I’m talking about, just click on the link!

I love tartan, no matter what time of year and as I usually go for the standard red, it’s nice to mix it up a bit with some blue and green in there. This one has some blue and red going on, which I really like! It’s a long-sleeved smock dress with a cute black collar around the neck. This would be lovely to wear during the day if I’m going out somewhere nice and then onto the evening if I was out for a meal or at the pub with my boyfriend and/or with some friends. I think this would even work well during the summer as it doesn’t look like a thick dress, so I’d make sure to wear this with some thick tights, a wooly cardigan (hell, maybe even a jumper!) and my chelsea boots. £18.00 for this is a real bargain and that’s why I love Boohoo so much!

This out of all the dresses on this list is the most expensive one, but it’s also damn cute! As you’ll know if you’re a regular reader of my blog, I LOVE foxes, so much so of late that I’m tempted to get one tattooed on my body… But I’m going off topic! Every now and again I shall search my favourite (*cough* all) clothing shops for fox related garments and I usually find one thing that I like the look of. I’ve seen a few things on ASOS that I like the look of in regards to foxes, but this one is the most affordable. It’s a nice dark olive-green shade with cute little foxes all over it, so cute! This would look so nice for the autumn and winter with my brown houndstooth coat, some thick tights, possible a grey cardigan and some chelsea boots, or maybe a pair of flats. This isn’t the highest on my wish list, but that’s due to the price, as I’m trying to save money! 😛

I rarely look in or online Matalan for clothes as it’s not that I dislike them, but I often forget they exist, only remembering when someone tells me how they’ve gone there recently for some clothes. Then I’m usually told how they grab bargains and how Matalan are better than Primark for the same prices. So I thought I’d have a mooch on their website and one of the first things I spotted, I knew I had to have! It’s a gorgeous black swing dress with pink and purple floral print. This will be perfect for when spring is back upon us again and I’d be wearing it with a grey cardigan, thick tights and my good ol’ chelsea boots! As this is a jersey fabric it’d be nice and warm so I could even wear this throughout the rest of winter whilst the weathers a bit nippy! I’d wear this dress for all sorts of occasions, both day and in the evenings. I’m really loving long-sleeved dresses at the moment and this one right now is number one on my wish list. I know I’m on a spending ban but after I’ve finished writing this post I’m actually popping over to Matalan to possibly pick this up… I’m naughty, I know but come on, it’s only £12!!!

I have to add with this dress that I wouldn’t wear it the way it is shown on the picture. It’s WAY TOO COLD to wear this with nothing underneath so I would ensure to pop a white or black long-sleeved t-shirt underneath this to give it a more grunge/punk look to it. As it looks quite short on the model on New Look’s website, I’d probably wear this with some shorts underneath to keep my dignity but of course if this wasn’t too short I would wear it with some nice thick leggings and some flats. I’d keep it nice and simple! I’d probably wear this loads during the summer time, as if it got too warm I could just take the t-shirt from underneath off. This is at the bottom of my wish list to be fair, as I’m not a huge fan of it but I like the idea of wearing it with a t-shirt underneath, as that look is rather cute, if I do say so myself.

This dress is number 2 on my wish list and I’ve been so tempted to order it this weekend, as Boohoo currently have 20% off all their dresses until tomorrow! This dress just reminds me of when I was little and the style of dress my Mom would have dressed me up in for parties and such. I probably did own a dress like this as a toddler and if I ever find I have a little girl, I want to put her in a dress like this! It has a gorgeous daisy pattern on it, making it the perfect floral dress and it’s finished off with a gorgeous black collar around the neck. This dress would be beautiful with a jumper thrown over the top of it and it would keep you toasty and warm during the rest of the winter month. This is a dress you can wear all year-long and I’m probably going to end up ordering it whilst I can save some pennies! I’d wear this to death with some thick tights, my chelsea boots, a jumper and my red duffle coat.

So those were my choices for my shift and smock dress wish list!

What do you think about shift and smock dresses? Yay or nay? Let me know what you think in the comments down below!

Well I’m off now to go and see if I can find that dress in Matalan… And maybe order the Boohoo dress while I’m at it!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
