August Wish List ’19

I really need to save. It’s so hard at the moment considering I’ve just had to fork out Β£250 for a part of my car to be replaced and erm… I kinda bought myself a new camera ready for Japan. Honestly I’m going to save up for Japan. I am. I NEED to otherwise I’ll be going to Japan with no sodding money to spend, or eat with. I have 5 months to go until we leave for the holiday and saving needs to happen NOW.

In all honesty though? I already really want at least 2 items on this wish list for work, as well as in general.

I will resist the urge and be good… I need to. πŸ˜›

Enough of me wallowing in poor pity, on with the wish list for August.

  • Aggretsuko Day/Night Pyjamas (link)

If there is one thing I love buying (and it’s definitely a weakness of mine!) it’s pyjamas and it’s purely because I live in them mostly when I’m at home. Providing I don’t have plans, as soon as I get home from work I’ll get my pyjamas on and get comfortable. These will be perfect for during the summer months, as at the moment I am just purely living in baggy t-shirts and night shirts. EMP has a pretty awesome Aggretsuko line up at the moment, including a couple of hoodies, pyjama bottoms and even some fake Converse.

  • Animal Crossing K.K. Slider Sticker by ncdoggGraphics (link)

I LOVE Animal Crossing and I am still stoked about the new one coming out on the Switch in March 2020. I love playing Pocket Camp daily and would love to grab some sort of Animal Crossing merch for when I’m in Japan. I love the “Yo” design of K.K. Slider and although I’ve added it onto this post as a sticker, I would rather love the hoodie or sweater design as I can only imagine it would so comfortable to wear around the house, as well as out and about when running errands.

  • Pokemon Holiday Night Kuji Travelling Pouch with Bottles (link)

This is something I’ve had my eye on getting (and in one case winning) since I saw it was announced a couple of months back. I took part in this kuji through YY Kawaii (yykawaiimerch over on Instagram). I’ll be talking about the prizes I won soon, as well as this travelling pouch, which arrived yesterday. Yes, I bought it because I want it for my holiday to Japan, as well as travelling in general. This is a good sized pouch and comes with three generous sized bottles that you can fill with your beauty essentials. I’m already planning what product I’m going to pop in there for travelling with. As I said, I’ll be writing a post all about these goods soon, as well as a little bit of information about kujis, how they work and which amazing ones YY Kawaii has coming up soon!

  • Aggretsuko Pencils (link)

I have discovered with my job that I love jotting down notes using pencil… I don’t know why, but I just have! I love Aggretsuko and since season 2 has come onto Netflix (also, they just announced season 3. Who else is excited?!) so I feel merchandise for this is becoming more and more likely everywhere. I don’t need any stationary anytime soon though to be honest. These would just be cool to have whenever I go into meetings and to perk my desk up a little. At the moment I’m using Pusheen pencils… I can’t complain. πŸ˜›

  • Cath Kidston Stanley Lamp (link)

This isn’t going to be something I buy anytime soon due to the price, but it’s a lamp I will be keeping a close eye on, as I would love it to be a part of my home. I don’t quite know where it would go… Potentially by the sofa in our living room… It’s so damn cute and I love it! I can only assume Stanley is the dog but it’s so gorgeous and you can see a lot of precision went into the design, as it’s just perfect. This is something I’ll keep my eye on during the sales.

  • Killstar Amaya Skater Dress (link)

I love a good skater dress, especially one from Killstar. This is from one of their new collections, which represents Japanese school style fashions and manga/anime designs too. This is something I’d love to be able to wear for work but due to the style of the dress (mostly the back with the hanging part) I doubt that would be doable… At least not during the warmer months when I don’t need to wear a cardigan, jumper or my work fleece. I’ll be keeping my eyes on it though, this is something I’ll definitely be picking up in the future.

  • Boohoo Cable Boyfriend Button Up Cardigan (link)

I know it’s summer and we in the UK are currently rocking the warm and muggy weather but I am already thinking ahead to the months when the colder weather will be back and I’ll be wanting to snuggle up into something during my shifts at work. My friend Amy (Writing into the Ether) rocks a gorgeous mustard cardigan and she’s inspired me get myself a mustard cardigan, after years of never bothering. I love my burgundy and mustard colours for autumn and winter, and whilst I own loads of mustard jumpers, I haven’t yet picked up a mustard cardigan. I’ve found this one from Boohoo, which I’m going to keep my eye on. I need to venture around more places first, including charity shops. I know what I’m looking for, super soft and baggy so I can be snuggled and cosy!

So those are the items on my wish list for August! I always worry my wish lists are boring, but you guys never seem to say anything other than the complete opposite!

What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know! Hey, let me know which items you’ve picked up this month too!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a good week so far.

Wish List Wednesday – Rainbow Fashion Collab Post!

Today’s wish list Wednesday is such an exciting one and it’s for one reason in particular! This is a collab post with the one and only wonderful blogger, Estelle over at Estellosaurus.

If there is one rainbow queen who I know it is her! I love her outfit posts and I always end up going to look at one piece of clothing she’s wearing in said post online.

It’s because of her that I recently bought myself a new rainbow cardigan and she’ll probably be the cause for many more rainbow purchases… She’s definitely a bad influence. πŸ˜›

So we decided to work together to do a collab post and I have been so excited to get it written down! We decided that I would do a wish list Wednesday about rainbow fashion pieces I want and Estelle is going to talk about the rainbow fashion pieces she owns. I would have done the same as Estelle, but sadly I only own two items, which are both my amazing rainbow cardigans! πŸ˜€

So without further ado, bring on the rainbow goodies!

  • Monki Rainbow Stripe Tee – (link)

I’ve had my eye on picking up a rainbow stripe tee from Monki for AGES but every time I’ve had a look at one it’s either sold out completely or sold out in my size! When I recently visited Bristol with Dane I had a look in the Monki shop inside Cabot Circus and got super excited! Sadly the rainbow stripe tee wasn’t in my size and it looks really cropped too, which sucked. I’m going to keep the hope alive though for a nice striped rainbow tee like this one!

  • Monki Crew Neck Rainbow Jumper – (link)

This jumper really does remind me of the one that Lazy Oaf brought out and it looks AMAZING! I would love this jumper to rock to work on Monday’s and Friday’s throughout the colder months, as well as over weekends with friends or lazy days in with Dane. I especially love that the sleeves are a little tighter, because although I love baggy sleeves that can hide my hands, it can be a bit of a pain when working. My only issue with this jumper is that it looks cropped… So I’d want to see what it looks like in the Bristol Monki store before buying!

  • Boohoo Rainbow Stripe T-Shirt Dress – (link)

I’ve been after some more t-shirt dresses for a while to wear with my normal black leggings, as well as with my Black Milk Clothing leggings and whilst I’m on a massive rainbow love and high, this top would be awesome to wear with my black leggings all casual and such! I wouldn’t be able to wear this for work, it would purely be for when I can’t be arsed to dress up and want to be comfortable. I could imagine itΒ  being a great t-shirt dress to wear on sick days too. πŸ˜›

  • Rocks N Rainbows Ringer Tee – (link)

This is a really cute tee but I wish it was in the UK! I know you can order from the Dolls Kill site and get them sent to the UK, but you know… πŸ˜› ANYWAY! This isn’t technically a rainbow item, but it has a rainbow on it so that counts… Right? πŸ˜› I really love this tee for both work and casual because it’ll just go and work with anything and everything! I especially love the red around the collar and sleeves, it’s a really nice touch and works really well! It also isn’t a bad price either, which I’m always happy with. πŸ˜›

  • Club Exx Dark Rainbow Anodized Boots – (link)

Oh man I just had to add these boots to this list! I know they’re not shouting in your face that they’re rainbow, but fuck me are these sexy boots! I love a good pair of Dr Martens boots and live in them throughout autumn and winter, but these are just something else. To me my Docs are my, “Don’t piss me off…” boots, whereas these would be, “Don’t fuck with me!” boots. You know what I mean? They’d just be awesome to wear throughout the autumn months and possibly spring too.

  • Lazy Oaf Pastel Stripe Rainbow Cardigan

This is a cardigan I have been lusting after for the longest time, but these days it’s a bit of a struggle to find unless you remortgage your house first! It was the original Lazy Oaf rainbow bored cardigan that kick started everyone off on the rainbow cardigan craze and I can honestly understand why! Since then, everyone has been either lusting after that cardigan, the one I’m talking about or any others for that matter! I still want this one and as soon as I find it for a decent price, it WILL be mine! I love wearing cardigans for work, as well as in general and this is such a muted and gorgeous colour that I just need it in my life! HEY if you’re selling one and want a decent price for it, DROP ME A COMMENT ASAP! xD

  • Run & Fly Unisex Rainbow Jumper – (link)

Finally we have another jumper on this list and it’s the last thing I’ll be talking about today. This is actually a unisex product and honestly I LOVE unisex and men’s clothing, it’s always so much more comfortable than women’s. This is such a vintage looking jumper and I feel like it’s something you’d have seen someone wear in the 60’s or 70’s. Or even something from the 90’s that someones picked up in a charity shop. This would be super cozy to wear throughout the autumn and winter months, both at work as well as over the weekends for chilly evenings out. It isn’t cheap at Β£30.00 but I would like to pick it up in the near future.

So those are all my rainbow goodies for my wish list Wednesday! I’m not a massive rainbow magpie, but I do love me some signature rainbow pieces!

I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to Estelle for agreeing to do this rainbow themed collaboration with me! Make sure to head over to her blog to check out what she’s written! I posted her link at the start of this post, but I’ll pop it here too.

Please make sure to go and give Estelle some love, not only is she an amazing and adorable blogger, but she’s also an absolute gem and lovely to talk to. I love that I’ve met her through blogging as she’s definitely one of my favourite bloggers and become a very good blogging friend in such a short period of time.

Anyhoo, I’m off for the day! I hope you all have a lovely day and until next time, take care all!

January Wish List ’18

I wanted to originally have this January wish list as a birthday wish list, but alas it wasn’t put up quick enough and to be honest I didn’t have a clue what to put on this list that I hadn’t put on my December 2017 wish list (which you can read here).

This list isn’t anything special this month as I’ve just had my Christmas AND birthday presents so a lot of gifts I received would have been items I’d have added to my list. FYI I will be doing a post about what I got for my birthday as soon as I can!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this wish list, I’m sorry it’s nothing special this month. πŸ˜›

  • Lime Crime Diamond Crushers in shade Heirloom – was Β£13.95, currently Β£11.00 (link)

I’ve always been iffy about trying Lime Crime products due to all the bad talk about them in the past but I can’t deny that I really love the look of their Diamond Crushers and as you may be able to tell on my list above, I have another bunch of these to talk about at some point too! If there is one product I would like to give a go it’s definitely these. Heirloom is a pinky red glitter that you apply to either bare lips for build able colour, or over lipstick to give a 3D effect. Seriously need some of these in my life!

  • Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth 3DS Game – Β£17.99 (link)

I heard about this 3DS Persona game a while ago and at one point I even found it in CEX for the shocking price of Β£45.00! I don’t mind paying the cheaper price on the Nintendo eShop to be honest. I’ve heard some good things about the Persona Q game and it’s definitely something I’d like to pick up as soon as possible whilst it’s at a decent price! I’m getting through the Persona games so quickly now that I just want to keep playing them. πŸ˜›

  • Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition Console – Β£139.99 (link)

I know I don’t need a new 2DS… Mine works fine and even so I don’t play it as much as I used to. BUT how cute is this bloody Pikachu 2DS XL?! I missed out on the Pikachu 3DS and was absolutely gutted, but I’m all for the 2DS over the 3DS anyway due to the 3D hurting my eyes. I’m going to keep my options open with this as I would love to get it at some point but at the same time this isn’t the cheapest item in the world and I really want to save my money if I can. This is a wish list however, so I can lust after it all I want! πŸ˜›

  • Nails Inc Dirty Unicorn Shake That Tail Nail Polish – Β£11.00 (link)

Since starting to work in an office I have rekindled my love of wearing nail polish! I love changing my nail colour up twice a week and especially when I have sparkly polish on, it just brightens my day a little bit. I really would like to get some new nail polish though as well, now I can! My favourite polish to wear at the moment is the unicorn ones by Nails Inc so when I found out they had the Dirty Unicorn shades out I had a good look at them. There are four altogether but Shake That Tail is my favourite! It’s a colour shifting polish and is described as, “Shake That Tail is a rainbow at twilight – a multi-flip spectrum of shades ranging from pink to blue to gold.” which is why I really like it!

  • Boohoo Maisie Fishnet Mom Jeans – Β£18.00 (link)

When I was in Fuerteventura I saw a lot of jeans with this style and I really like the look of them to be honest! I haven’t really seen much like that over here in the UK but when I’ve had a search around the internet I have come acrossΒ some pairs of jeans similar. The only ones I have really found that are decent are these mom jeans from Boohoo. I’m not a massive mom jean fan but I’d love some new jeans soon so these are more of a “target” of what I want to get for when the summer is here!

  • Pitanui Persona 5 Hero Phantom Thief Ver. Plushie Keychain – Β£25.79 (link)

This is something I REALLY want and have done since before Christmas. I’m a massive Persona 5 fan and when I saw that these had been announced I got really excited and went to order, but when I saw the price as well as the size of the plush itself, I let out a massive sigh. I can’t really part with that sort of money for something so small! Maybe Β£15.00 due to it coming from Japan, but not Β£25.00! That’s crazy! Look at how cute he is though! Fuck he’s melting my heart so badly. 😦

  • Lime Crime Mini Diamond Crushers Unicorn Cracker Box – was – Β£19.95 currently – Β£15.95 (link)

This is the other Lime Crime item I was talking about earlier and is the one I want the most out of the two, as let’s face it you get 3 mini Diamond Crushers for the price of one full size. That’s not bad if you just want to try out some of the shades and the formula of the product. In the unicorn box you getΒ Unicorn (lavender/rainbow sparkle), Unicorn Queen (electric violet) and Black Unicorn (black rainbow). I would love to order these right now but I just can’t… I need to watch my monies right now until I get paid next. 😦

So that is my January wish list and the first one of 2018! How exciting, eh?

What items do you have on your wish lists? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week so far.

A Holiday Haul!

I’m sure I mentioned time and time again the past month (or two…) that I would write a holiday haul post when I’d bought all the goodies I wanted for my holiday. It now looks like I’ve bought all the goodies I’ll want (and need for that matter…) for my holiday IN LESS THAN A MONTHS TIME! Oh my, the days, weeks and months have gone by so damn quickly.

I’m not going to lie, I am hella excited for my holiday, but I’m also really nervous all at the same time. I know for a fact I won’t want to come home.

Anyway, I decided to be naughty as soon as pay day hit this month and bought myself quite a few bits and pieces for the holiday… As well as to wear in the UK as and when appropriate… I kind of used the holiday as an excuse to buy things. πŸ˜›

I don’t think I’ll be buying anything else for “the holiday” (hahaha :P) but if I do I can always make a second post about that! The only other thing(s) I can see me buying is a new bra for the dress I bought (you’ll see what I mean when I show it off) and maybe a choker.

Right, enough waffle. On with the haul! I’ll talk about things in the order I bought/received them.

  • Sixty Seven Silver Tone Holographic Sliders (no longer available).

Oh sliders, such ugly sandals when covered in fur and pom poms. I’m not a huge fan of wearing sandals, flip flips etc and more than not often opt for Vans when on holiday due to how comfortable and lightweight they are. However, I had a little thing for sliders this year… The none fluffy variety, of course! I had a look everywhere for a holographic pair but couldn’t find a single thing and when I did SEEM to find something decent it was stupidly priced or the colours were a little off.

As I do at least once a week I had a nosey over on TK Maxx and found these beauties! I waited a while to order them, but as sizes below and above my own started to sell out I knew I needed to get on it and get my pair ordered! These cost me Β£12.99 and retail for Β£33.99. WOW! They’re amazing though and I’m so glad I bought them! They’re really sturdy and feel like they’ll last a long time. The holographic is sort of matte in colour and doesn’t look too shiny, which I like. They’re not 100% comfortable to be honest and I find they’re rubbing a little on the top of my foot, but I’m hoping this is just them breaking in.

I plan to wear these both in the daytime and the evenings. Everything I’ll be showing off in this video what I bought I’ll probably wear with these sliders. I have to say I hate that they’re called sliders… I know why they are but I dislike it so damn much! I can’t wait to rock these to the beach in my matching bikini! πŸ˜›

My camera just wasn’t playing ball with me when trying to take pictures! It looks pretty cool though and shows off all the colours of the glitter really well. πŸ˜›

My camera just wasn’t playing ball with me when trying to take pictures! It looks pretty cool though and shows off all the colours of the glitter really well. πŸ˜›

  • Topshop Black Glitter Skater Skirt (no longer available).

I’ve been in need of a new skater skirt for quite a long time now but I just haven’t really seen anything I’ve liked. My previous skater skirt was from Topshop so I decided to have a look on their website for an upgrade, sadly I found nothing. I looked around various high street stores for a while and I remembered the one place I hadn’t even looked for a new skirt, a Topshop one at least. eBay, my holy grail and first place I often look for things I want at a decent price. I found this Topshop skater skirt straight away and I fell in love! It was bidding and considering there was only 2 of us bidding on it, it started on 99p and I did a ninja and bidded with 5 seconds left, I won. I only paid about Β£2.50 for this including postage.

It’s really gorgeous black skirt with pink, blue gold and silver pieces of glitter running throughout it. It’s a lightweight skirt which is nice as it doesn’t feel heavy at all when wearing it. I’m also glad to say that the glitter is embedded into the skirt itself so when wearing, washing, etc no glitter bits will shed anywhere. I don’t know how much the skirt originally retailed for, but knowing Topshop probably Β£20-Β£30.

I’m just so pleased I picked this skirt up as it’s amazing! It does make my bum look bigger than it actually is though due to the way it hangs and I’m not sure if I like this or not. It can be worn as a high-waisted skirt or normal. With my new crop top (which I’ll be talking about last) it looks gorgeous and works really well. If anything it has finally given me the push and courage to wear more crop tops. πŸ™‚

  • Pretty Little Thing Anaiya Multi Tie Dye Denim Short (available here).

Urgh. Just getting this out there that if you have read my recent blog post you’ll know how annoyed at am at Pretty Little Thing and how I don’t recommend them. If you haven’t, here is the link.

That aside I love these shorts, even if they are a little on the snug side. They’re high-waisted denim shorts with a tie dye affect on them. Although not 100% they do have rainbow colors on them. You can see where they originally dyed them blue, pink and yellow only for the colours to run to create green, purple and orange. They look amazing and very eye catching! They’re distressed too which I love, all over the front of the legs and a little on the one back pocket. The pockets in these are really big and deep, which I love! Means you can keep a phone and money on you if you don’t want to carry a bag around.

I’ll be rocking these with my crop top, as well as various t-shirts tucked into it. I tried on one of my black long sleeved t-shirts and I loved how it looked! I’m tempted to take said t-shirt on holiday so I can wear it in the evenings. I’d wear it with either my pair of Star Wars or 101 Dalmatians Vans. Maybe even my DC high tops. I’ll see what shoes I decide to take with me closer to the time. I’ve even looked at wearing my chunky 90’s looking heels, but I’m not sure if I will or not yet.

I know they’re very bright to wear in the UK throughout the whole year (come on let’s face it, our summer lasts all of a week…) BUT I will wear these throughout the year over here. I’ll rock them with band tees, tights and Dr Martens boots for a grunge look. If anything, I can’t wait to when I’m back from holiday! πŸ˜›

  • Boohoo Manhattan Hologram Triangle Tie Bikini (available here).

I didn’t need a new bikini and in the end I bought two. Shit. For this holiday I have noticed a pattern of me lusting after things that are either holographic, mermaid scale print or turquoise sequins. This obviously caught my eye (like the little magpie I am…) when browsing around Boohoo. It’s a bog standard triangle bikini BUT OMG IT’S HOLOGRAPHIC AND SHINY AND PRETTY AND OMG! Breathe Nat, breathe.

You can’t go wrong with holographic and when it comes to a hot country where the sun is out most of the time, you definitely can’t go wrong! This is the bikini I’ll wear when tanning on the balcony. It’s the tie at the sides for the bottoms and at the neck and back for the top. As I said, bog standard.

These are still available on the Boohoo website as well as another here which is holographic too. I was tempted to order this one instead/as well as the one I bought but meh. Don’t need ALL THE BIKINIS! xD

I am seriously in love with this picture since taking it!

  • Killstar Pheadra Skater Dress (available here).

The day that Killstar launched this dress for sale on their website I KNEW I had to have it. I’m a massive fan of Killstar and my love of them has grown dramatically this past year. I want NO NEED to own more pieces by Killstar!

This is a skater dress with a mermaid print on, and a pentagram strappy back. This IS NOT a dress I would wear in the daytime, only in the evening when the sun isn’t out and at risk of tanning the pentagram shape into my back. I do not want. πŸ˜› The pictures of this dress don’t do it justice. To me it just looks turquoise on the website but when it arrived I noticed that in the light the dress will shift and go a purple shade. Also as you can see it has a mermaid pattern on it. Oh Nat, you and those mermaid scales! I do like the smaller scales though and it makes a change from the bigger ones I rock on Black Milk Clothing pieces.

My only issue with this dress is I feel it’s too big… But I worry the size down would be too small… Also as amazing as the pentagram shape is on the back, it isn’t practical at all when wearing a bra. As of yet I haven’t got myself a new bra to wear with it yet… I hope I can get one before the holiday.

I know it sounds stupid because with a back like that you’d want to show off the dress, wouldn’t you? Alas this dress actually looks better with a jacket or cardigan over the top. In fact it looks so cute teamed up with my burgundy cardigan! Who’d have thought? I can’t wait to wear this throughout the year in the UK. I’ll definitely have to wear Dr Martens or brothel creepers. πŸ˜›

  • Killstar Arabella Halter Top (available here) and Posing Shorts (available here).

The same brand and the same print as the Killstar Pheadra dress. I couldn’t resist not getting this top and shorts. I don’t 100% know if you can swim in them, but damn I’ll give it a go! Nah if anything these won’t be for tanning in due to the top being the way it is, but more for popping out to the beach in for a walk with the shorts or even a pair of shorts over the top. I also wanted to pick these up for pole dancing in as I think they’d be gorgeous!

I do feel a little self conscious in this set due to how out there it is, but at the same time I actually feel really good about my body! I ordered both the top and shorts in the same size as I ordered the dress and whilst I don’t feel they’re too big, I do worry that the top part is a little baggy. I think I just need to get used to the style of it. I plan to try it on a few times at home before we leave for our holiday. I’d gladly wear this with shorts or a skirt with a little jacket over the top for if it’s chilly.

  • Black Milk Clothing Mermemerald Crop Top (no longer available).

Finally we have my last piece of clothing I bought in this haul and to be honest it’s by far my favourite! Everyone knows it, I love Black Milk Clothing and I especially love their mermaid printed pieces. I now own 3 mermaid pieces, including this new addition!

This is a size up from what I usually buy from Black Milk but it doesn’t matter as it fits lovely. It’s the Mermemerald crop top and guess what? It’s discontinued and now a museum item SO IT’S WORTH A FORTUNE! I picked this up second hand off of eBay for about Β£24.00, which I’m really chuffed about.

I didn’t expect it to be such a bright green when I took it out of the packaging though, but I adore it. At first when I tried it on I put it on the wrong way around. When I worked it out though and put it on properly I just fell in love. I paired it with my shorts, which looked amazing and then I paired it with my skater skirt. A part of me died and went to heaven for how lovely the two looked together. I haven’t felt all that great about my body the past month and more so the past week so to feel confident and nice about myself, I’m so happy. Black Milk seems to always have that affect on me. πŸ˜›

I already know I’m going to be wearing this most evenings when out with Dane for drinks and even for a day of shopping! I can’t wait to wear this back at home though to be honest. It’s such a stunning piece and when the weather is crap and gloomy over here, I can see this perking me up. It shifts from green to turquoise in the right light. How amazing!

One of my favourite pictures I’ve taken for such a long time! FYI I’m covering my face because I had some nasty zits on my cheek. YUCK! xD

PLZ DO NOT LOOK IN THE BIN. Nothing in there to hide, but still! xD

I was going to try and merge these four pictures in with the items themselves but it would have just been a mess… Sort of. SO I thought I would add said pictures at the end of the post, so you can see how I would wear some of the pieces together, as well as with other items. πŸ˜€

So that is everything I picked up for my holiday! I have so much more crap that I could buy and a part of me still wants to pick up a few more things to grunge up my outfits in the evenings. A choker being the main thing right now really. We shall see…

Have you guys been on your holidays yet? Where did you go?

Also, are there any items in this post YOU own or want to? Let me know all your thoughts and answers in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and I hope your weeks are going well so far.

Bikini Wish List Wednesday

I know I usually schedule posts for every 3 days (unless like recently where I was a lazy bitch and left a new post for a week…) BUT I wanted to do another wish list Wednesday post before I go on holiday.

I’m in desperate need of a new bikini and whilst the Iron Fist one I currently own is amazing and does a great job when wearing it, I would like something new that reflects my personality… I know that sounds weird, but hear me out throughout the post as to what I mean!

I also wanted a new bikini because whilst I loved and felt comfortable wearing my Iron Fist one on holiday, I didn’t feel that it stood out and I really want one that will! Especially when going down to the beach, which I hope to do more of on this holiday.

There is a sort of theme around all the bikinis I’ve added to this list too, I am aware of that after putting the image together. πŸ˜› Enjoy the wish list!

  • Boux Avenue Cabaret Triangle Bikini Top – Β£28.00 (link)
  • Boux Avenue Cabaret Bikini Briefs – Β£16.00 (link)

Sadly (as you can see) this bikini isn’t cheap. It’s actually quite expensive for what it looks like from the pictures, BUT IT’S PURPLE AND LOOKS ALMOST HOLOGRAPHIC! I also don’t see many bikini tops that allow you to buy your bra size as apposed to UK dress size or S, M or L. This would be a nice bikini to wear around the pool at my house, as apposed to the beach, but it would also be really nice to wear with a pair of shorts and a sheer jumper. It is expensive though for what it is and due to this I’d want to not only have a look at in person in one of their stores, but I’d also want to try it on before buying. I think I’ll wait for this to go in the sale though. Β£44.00 is a lot for a bikini in my mind…

  • Soft Kitty Clothing Mermaid Bikini – Β£15.00 (link)

I really love the look of this bikini as it reminds me of Ariel from The Little Mermaid but again, it’s that mermaid print that I love so much appearing again. This is the cheapest bikini on this list and it looks really good quality too! The only thing that I don’t like about it is that it states not to swim in pools with chlorine, which I understand but at the same time that kind of sucks. I would wear the bikini top during sunbathing as it can be a bandeau but I don’t know that for sure. I can’t see this being a bikini I pick up, but if any of the ones on this list aren’t available before the holiday then this could be a last resort.

  • River Island Mermaid Metallic Bandeau Bikini – Β£16.00 (link)

This is a bikini set I’ve had my eye on for a while now but it always seems to run out of stock or is sold out in sales. It’s only available on ASOS now but for Β£16.00 this is a decent price in my mind for a River Island bikini! I’ve been after a bandeau for a while to be honest for sunbathing in, as well as going out and about. As you can tell I have a metallic and holographic theme going on with these bikinis and this one is such a gorgeous petrol colour!

Missguided Blue Metallic Harness Bikini – Β£25.00 down to Β£12.50 (link)

There seems to be a trend this year with harnesses on bikinis and whilst I love it, I find it may also be impractical when tanning due to lines being left behind everywhere. I wouldn’t wear this for sunbathing in, it would definitely be one for going to the beach or shopping. I love the bottoms more than anything as they look so flattering and comfortable! These are so cheap in the sale that a part of me feels like ordering them now. πŸ˜› But I won’t, I’ll wait to buy the bikini set I’m talking about last on this post.

  • Boohoo Manhattan Hologram Triangle Tie Bikini – Β£18.00 (link)

I want a bog standard holographic bikini and this is probably the nicest one I have found, which is from Boohoo. They sell loads of stuff like this on eBay but I don’t trust the quality of eBay sellers stock. You can’t go wrong with Boohoo though and for Β£18.00 you can’t go wrong really. I’d wear this to go swimming in the pool, the beach and even to sunbathe in. So we shall see!

  • Killstar Arabella Halter Top – Β£19.99 (link)
  • Killstar Arabella Posing Shorts – Β£14.99 (link)

I’m saving my favourite item on this list until last! If there has been a bikini I have really fallen in love with, it’s definitely this one by Killstar. I was actually meant to order this and a dress with the same pattern when I got paid a couple of weeks ago, but I left it and bought a PS Vita instead… Priorities! πŸ˜› BUT I will either be ordering this when I get paid next month, or September just before the holiday. Probably August though… πŸ˜› I love mermaid printed things thanks to Black Milk Clothing and their gorgeous mermaid print leggings, which I own two pairs of (you can read and look at me wearing the one pair here) and love to death! I always take those with me whenever I’ve visited Fuerteventura, so why not wear a bikini with the same look to it? This one just looks sexy yet comfortable and flattering at the same time. I was worried this would actually cost more but when you compare the price of it alongside the Boux Avenue one, it’s a bargain really! This definitely isn’t a bikini I would wear when watching to catch the sun and tan and I’m sure you can see why! It’d be more something to wear on hot days whilst walking around with (again!) some shorts or even my Black Milk mermaid leggings. I just need this bikini in my life! πŸ˜›

So those are the bikinis I’m lusting after at the moment! There are so many things I want to buy and wear for the holiday and whilst I’m not low on funds at the moment, I don’t WANT to be low on funds either.

We shall see… I’m pretty sure I’ll be doing a haul of what goodies I get for the holiday.

Do you have your eye on any bikinis? If so please share them with me! πŸ˜€ Also, are you going on holiday this summer? Let me know where you’re going in the comments.

Until next time, take care all everyone and I hope you’re having a great week so far.

Swing & Smock Dresses Wish List

I won’t lie, I used to HATE swing and smock dresses when they first hit the shops. I thought they looked unshapely and caused anyone who wore them to look pregnant. However after seeing a couple of fashion bloggers posting about them I came to realise that maybe they weren’t all that bad and in some ways they were actually flattering.

For my 24th birthday (at the start of this month) my Mom asked if I would like any clothes for my birthday and I had a look at what was out there. I ended up ordering a pair of boyfriend jeans, some new DC trainers and a Fearne Cotton swing dress. I worried that upon trying it on when it arrived that it would make me look bigger than I actually am… Or as if I was carrying a small person inside my belly but instead it was rather flattering and both my Mom and my boyfriend said how lovely it looked.

Since then I have been HOOKED and have my eye on a lot of these dresses now to buy myself as a treat or even when my spending ban in over as I hope they will all be in sales by then!

So I thought I would share with you the dresses I’ve spotted!

Shift & Smock Dresses

There are five dresses in total that I’ll be talking about and each is different in all sorts of ways. I’ll be going from left to right, starting on the top row and then going onto the bottom row. I’ll be linking to each dress anyhoo so if you get confused on which dress I’m talking about, just click on the link!

I love tartan, no matter what time of year and as I usually go for the standard red, it’s nice to mix it up a bit with some blue and green in there. This one has some blue and red going on, which I really like! It’s a long-sleeved smock dress with a cute black collar around the neck. This would be lovely to wear during the day if I’m going out somewhere nice and then onto the evening if I was out for a meal or at the pub with my boyfriend and/or with some friends. I think this would even work well during the summer as it doesn’t look like a thick dress, so I’d make sure to wear this with some thick tights, a wooly cardigan (hell, maybe even a jumper!) and my chelsea boots. Β£18.00 for this is a real bargain and that’s why I love Boohoo so much!

This out of all the dresses on this list is the most expensive one, but it’s also damn cute! As you’ll know if you’re a regular reader of my blog, I LOVE foxes, so much so of late that I’m tempted to get one tattooed on my body… But I’m going off topic! Every now and again I shall search my favourite (*cough* all) clothing shops for fox related garments and I usually find one thing that I like the look of. I’ve seen a few things on ASOS that I like the look of in regards to foxes, but this one is the most affordable. It’s a nice dark olive-green shade with cute little foxes all over it, so cute! This would look so nice for the autumn and winter with my brown houndstooth coat, some thick tights, possible a grey cardigan and some chelsea boots, or maybe a pair of flats. This isn’t the highest on my wish list, but that’s due to the price, as I’m trying to save money! πŸ˜›

I rarely look in or online Matalan for clothes as it’s not that I dislike them, but I often forget they exist, only remembering when someone tells me how they’ve gone there recently for some clothes. Then I’m usually told how they grab bargains and how Matalan are better than Primark for the same prices. So I thought I’d have a mooch on their website and one of the first things I spotted, I knew I had to have! It’s a gorgeous black swing dress with pink and purple floral print. This will be perfect for when spring is back upon us again and I’d be wearing it with a grey cardigan, thick tights and my good ol’ chelsea boots! As this is a jersey fabric it’d be nice and warm so I could even wear this throughout the rest of winter whilst the weathers a bit nippy! I’d wear this dress for all sorts of occasions, both day and in the evenings. I’m really loving long-sleeved dresses at the moment and this one right now is number one on my wish list. I know I’m on a spending ban but after I’ve finished writing this post I’m actually popping over to Matalan to possibly pick this up… I’m naughty, I know but come on, it’s only Β£12!!!

I have to add with this dress that I wouldn’t wear it the way it is shown on the picture. It’s WAY TOO COLD to wear this with nothing underneath so I would ensure to pop a white or black long-sleeved t-shirt underneath this to give it a more grunge/punk look to it. As it looks quite short on the model on New Look’s website, I’d probably wear this with some shorts underneath to keep my dignity but of course if this wasn’t too short I would wear it with some nice thick leggings and some flats. I’d keep it nice and simple! I’d probably wear this loads during the summer time, as if it got too warm I could just take the t-shirt from underneath off. This is at the bottom of my wish list to be fair, as I’m not a huge fan of it but I like the idea of wearing it with a t-shirt underneath, as that look is rather cute, if I do say so myself.

This dress is number 2 on my wish list and I’ve been so tempted to order it this weekend, as Boohoo currently have 20% off all their dresses until tomorrow! This dress just reminds me of when I was little and the style of dress my Mom would have dressed me up in for parties and such. I probably did own a dress like this as a toddler and if I ever find I have a little girl, I want to put her in a dress like this! It has a gorgeous daisy pattern on it, making it the perfect floral dress and it’s finished off with a gorgeous black collar around the neck. This dress would be beautiful with a jumper thrown over the top of it and it would keep you toasty and warm during the rest of the winter month. This is a dress you can wear all year-long and I’m probably going to end up ordering it whilst I can save some pennies! I’d wear this to death with some thick tights, my chelsea boots, a jumper and my red duffle coat.

So those were my choices for my shift and smock dress wish list!

What do you think about shift and smock dresses? Yay or nay? Let me know what you think in the comments down below!

Well I’m off now to go and see if I can find that dress in Matalan… And maybe order the Boohoo dress while I’m at it!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend!
