June Favourites ’19

How are we at the seventh month of the year?! In 6 months time not only will I be 30 but I’ll be getting ready for one of the biggest events of my life – my holiday to Japan.

June has been such a morbid month, what with the weather being so crappy. I was also skint after loads going on at the start of the month what with Games Expo (which you can read about here, as well as see what I picked up!) and Manchester for mine and Dane’s 6th anniversary. However the weather has had a much needed turn around and we’re now graced with gorgeous sunshine… But also sweat in places you didn’t know you could sweat in! 😛

Aside from this, June went by quickly and I actually had a bad mental health patch – which I’m through thankfully. I forgot how bad my mental health could be though to be perfectly honest with you. I’m glad it’s definitely not as bad as it used to be, that’s for sure.

I’m glad it’s July to be honest with you, as I am craving some nicer weather. I want to do my garden up this year ready for all the BBQ’s and evenings in the garden writing with Dane and playing games. I plan to try and get so much stuff done throughout July and August!

Anyhoo, let’s go into the items I was loving throughout June.

  • Original Source Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel.

This is a shower gel I rediscovered recently when me and Dane went to Manchester for a few days. We bought a little travel sized version of this to use whilst we were away and it was just so refreshing! Not going to lie though, I forgot what this does to your bits… If you know what I mean? 😛 We’ve just bought a MASSIVE 500ml bottle, which was pretty cheap for £2. This shower gel has kind of reemerged back into our lives at the right time considering the hot weather. Yesterday I woke up feeling sticky and unclean. After my shower I felt fresh again and it’s purely because of this shower gel. If you’ve never tried it, I really do recommend it! Due to the menthol in the mint it leaves you feeling tingly and cooled down, perfect for the hot humid weather we have right now.

  • Nails Inc Ocean Ever After Nail Polish.

I really do love painting my nails, but I find I don’t do it as often as I once used to, or should for that matter. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t give much of a toss the older I get, or just because I’m too busy doing other things… Although a mixture of both, it’s definitely more of the latter. I painted my nails quite a few times last month and I found more often than not that I was reaching out for this shade in particular. With summer (well now at least…) in full swing I thought I would reach for a colour that reminds me of holidays abroad and swimming in the pool and ocean. I honestly love this shade and feel like I haven’t given it the love it deserves! I really do like the Nails Inc duo kits and the mermaid one is perfect for summer, whether you’re going on holiday or not.

  • GeekyClean Bard Soap.

As I mentioned recently in my UK Games Expo haul (which you can read here) I stumbled across the brand Geeky Clean, which I have fast fallen in love with! If there is one product on this list this month that I have reached out for the most, it’s definitely this one. It smells JUST LIKE LUSH SNOW FAIRY for a fucking fraction of the price. Like seriously – how the fuck do Lush get away with it! This foams up lovely and doesn’t leave that horrible feeling on your skin after using soap against it. It comes in the tin, so it’s really easy to keep in the bath or shower. I plan to write a review about both the soap and the bath bomb with the Bard scent. Honestly I cannot get enough of this right now, especially considering what an amazing dupe it is of Snow Fairy (and the Godmother soap if you’re a Lushie).

  • Revolution Onyx Primer.

Okay I was in dubious about this primer. I wasn’t able to test it when I bought it and as I was out with my mom at the time she said, “Sod it! Just get it and if it’s no good I’ll have it.” Bless her. 😛 So obviously I picked it up and OBVIOUSLY I liked it, because it wouldn’t be on my favourites if I didn’t This is obviously black and just to say if you don’t rub it in properly, your skin WILL go grey. This is also a thick primer too so a little goes a long way. The reason I was dubious though is it claims to mattify the skin. When you first put this on, it’s oily AF! Like seriously, I was pissed off when I tried this on the back of my hand in my mom’s living room. I tried it the next morning when I got home and after I put my power over the top – that oily look and feeling vanished and I was left with perfect airbrushed skin. I was shocked! However, I wondered if due to the original oily feeling it would cause my skin to break out… I waited and have been trying this for most of June now and I can report not a single issue! If you’d like a review of this product, please let me know by the way as I would be more than happy to! Especially if you have combination skin like I do. 🙂

  • Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy EDP.

This is one of my favourite perfumes and I honestly always forget just how much I love it, as well as how many memories it brings back. This is such a cheap perfume but for what it’s worth it really does make me happy. If you’ve never smelt it, (I’m pretty sure you will have – even if you didn’t realise it…) it smells just like blueberries and sugar. It’s gorgeous and although sickly for many, it’s perfect for me. I’ve been reaching for it lately as I just love the smell! Since starting my new job in April I’ve been binge using Dior’s Poison Girl and whilst I like it – it’s really grown off of me. I might just give it to my mom as I really don’t enjoy wearing it anymore… This being said it is a gorgeous perfume but my tastes have dramatically changed the past two years and I’ve really moved away from certain scents and grown to love others.

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – Hitoshi Matsumoto Presents Documental Season 3.

I cannot tell you enough how much I love this show but also how much I hate the fact the other four seasons are going to take FOREVER to come out over seas and be translated for us English speakers. I’ve mentioned this show on my blog many times in the past and I swear to God, I never laughed so much at the third season of this hilarious show. Basically it’s about ten Japanese comedians who are all locked in a room for six hours with the goal of winning 10 million yen (just over £73,000) by being the last person in the room who hasn’t laughed. They do some pretty normal things to make each other laugh, but then on the other hand they can be really extreme with it, which is the best part! Season 3 had some of the funniest things I have seen to date and after (what I thought) was a disappointing last season, this made up for it so much! It’s on Amazon Prime so if you have a subscription, I highly recommend you go and check it out!

Favourite Movie – Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

If there is a film I think I actually regret not going to watch in the cinema, it might just be this one. Me and Dane were recommended by out D&D Dungeon Master to check out this film as it was amazing, mind blowing and more. It was certainly enjoyable to watch and had so many awesome points in it, including the one in the gif to be fair. It was really colourful too and the animation felt unique and worked well for the style. It was very stylised to look like the comic books the story of Spider-Man have of course come from. Not going to lie – I’m shite when it comes to reviewing things like this. It’s out now on DVD and Blu-ray to go and buy it. It’s so worth the monies. 😛

Favourite Book – Erm…

Fuck sake man. My reading manga game is shite lately and it actually makes me so sad. I have so many volumes from at least 5 series to catch up on and I’m so pissed that I am neglecting that. It’s honestly due to the fact I like to play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp during my lunch break at work (which I’m not doing today because I’m writing this instead :P) so reading has taken a back shelf. I seriously plan to spend this weekend reading and catching up. Sorry though guys – no manga mentions this month. 😦

Favourite Music – PVRIS – White Noise.

This is a band I mentioned falling in love with last month, but in all honestly this is a band I have fallen hard for and especially their first album White Noise which I downloaded from iTunes onto my phone in June – as well as their second album. The song “Fire” that I mentioned last month is what led me to discover PVRIS – as well as this album, but my favourite song from the album has fast become “Smoke” which I listen to over and over again on repeat. As and when this band tours the UK again, I WILL be going to see them! I know they’re playing Reading and Leeds this year but nah I won’t be going to a festival. 😛

Favourite Game – Trover Saves the Universe.

I feel shit for not mentioning Persona Q2 this month but honestly this would beat even Persona 5 hands down if I’d been playing that last month. This game is fucking hilarious and EVERYONE needs to play it! This game is by Justin Roiland, the guy behind Rick & Morty and the VR game Accounting. This is a VR game with the aim being to get your two pet dogs back, who have been stolen by a cross between a penguin and Patrick from Spongebob Square Pants. It’s fucking hilarious to play and the best thing I like with it is you can sit down as you play! Usually with VR games you’re standing up and it can get a bit tiring if you plan to play for hours on end… Even though we do it anyway! The comedy behind it is hilarious (as always from Roiland!) and fun to play. I cannot wait to continue playing it over the weekend.

So that’s everything this month in regards to my favourite items for June! Again, June whizzed by to be honest with you and when it came to thinking what content I needed up on my blog this week – I was shocked that it was time to be writing my two monthly posts. Crazy, huh?

What were you loving throughout June? Whether it be beauty, lifestyle or even stuff in general! I’d love to know. 🙂

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’re all not as tried as I am after the warm weekend. 😛

January Favourites ’18

We are well and truly into 2018 now and I can’t believe how fast January came and went! It was a bit of a crappy month to be honest considering I was poorly for 2 weeks of it. It started with a stomach bug, then sinusitis, then a cold/flu and finally what seemed to be like a urine infection. URGH. Just crappy and I’m so glad to be into a new month now.

With a new month comes my monthly posts, yay! I love doing my monthly posts as I feel it’s a great to wrap up the previous one and get ready for the next.

I’m going to continue what I did in 2017 with writing about both my beauty and my lifestyle favourites. If there’s any monthly favourites topics you’d like to hear about as well, make sure to let me know.

Now, on with the favourites!

  • Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy EDP.

I fancied wearing this on my birthday as it’s one of my favourite scents and since then I’ve worn it pretty much every day throughout January! I always forget how much I love it and it’s fruity scent. It reminds me of dark berries although it contains black cherry and plum. It’s gorgeous though and I’m pretty sure this was meant to be a limited edition scent originally, so the fact it’s still around 10 years later is amazing!

  • Carmex Lip Balm in Sugar Plum.

I have been after this since before Christmas and when me and Dane were in town for my birthday I FINALLY FOUND IT! Was so pleased as well to be honest as I’d wanted it for the longest time and it was always sold out. This is such a gorgeous scent/flavour and it’s definitely my favourite now to be honest with you. I like to use it around the house and I sometimes have it with me when I’m at work. I wish I had bought a couple of these now just to have another one for when the first runs out. As far as I know this is limited edition but a part of me hopes they make it permanent edition! 😀

  • L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Face Mask in Detox (review here).

Sadly I don’t have this included in the picture above as it ran out and I threw it away… Sad times! I’ve been using this face mask loads throughout January and it’s really helped my skin  out whilst I’ve been poorly too as I felt so greasy and my skin felt so congested. I love the L’Oreal masks so much and would really like to try more of them! If you’re after a really deep cleaning and affordable clay mask, then I recommend picking this up!

  • Winky Lux Green Flower Balm.

This is one of the gifts that Dane’s brother and his girlfriend bought for me (you can see what else I got for Christmas here too) and since getting it I’ve done nothing but use it! It’s a lip balm with PH tint which gifts a nice subtle pink colour. I keep this in my handbag now for on the go whenever I want to apply a nice lip colour. It has the balm with it too so it feels really comfortable to wear all day long. I definitely recommend picking up one of these if you can as they’re so lovely.

  • Radox Men Muscle Therapy Bath Soak.

I know this is for men but I LOVE this bath soak so damn much! With how poorly and achey I’ve been lately this has really helped my muscles. It also smells gorgeous as well and reminds me of my Dad due to the masculine scent. I always pick this up whenever me and Dane got for a shop as it’s just a staple to have after a long day when your body needs a really good pick me up.

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – Black Mirror and How To Keep A Mummy.

I was SO excited for season 4 of Black Mirror to come out and me and Dane binge watched it before New Year. We loved it and I don’t know which episode was my favourite… Probably the last one to be honest as it was just perfect! If you’ve never watch any of the Black Mirror episodes then please get on it as it’s such an amazing show and it’s so smart too. Every episode will blow your mind and make you think about the present, as well as the future!

The other TV show I enjoyed thoroughly throughout January is a new anime series for Winter called How To Keep A Mummy and let me tell you, it’s by far one of the cutest fucking things I’ve seen for a very, VERY long time! It’s about high schooler Sora who is sent a little mummy called Mii-kun by his father who is travelling. The series focuses on how the two adapt a warm and loving friendship and how Mii-kun adapts to other people as well as outside of the house. It’s on Crunchyroll at the moment and if you love all things cute, then you will love this anime. I already want ALL THE MERCH as well as the manga. 😛

Favourite Film – Kimi No Na Wa/Your Name.

I think this will just be my favourite film of the month due to the fact it’s the one me and Dane watched together on my birthday. We snuggled up with takeaway Japanese food on our cuddle chair and when we were finished with food wrapped up under our blanket and finished watching the film. It was a lovely end to a great day and that film will just remind me of summer evenings when we went to watch it at the cinema and my birthday when we watched it together.

Favourite Book – A Polar Bear In Love.

If there is a manga I have been really excited to buy and read since A Silent Voice it’s definitely A Polar Bear In Love! I heard about it from YouTuber akidearest (who you can watch here) when she mentioned it in one of her favourites videos. I straight away researched about it and found out that it was available to buy in the UK! Dane bought it me for my birthday and not long after getting it I’d finished reading it! I can’t wait for Vol. 2 to come out this month now!

Favourite Song/Album – Various Songs.

There’s loads of songs I’ve heard lately that I really like and I can’t pick one artist or one song etc because there’s just so many I like for various reasons, so I’ve added 3 here that I really like at the moment.

I’ve been hearing loads of Charlie Puth at work on the radio and this is the first song I heard by him and I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. He’s got a lovely singing voice and it’s really not my sort of music but it’s just a nice chilled song to listen to. ALSO I love the bass line in the song too and would love to learn how to play it myself.

I heard this song thanks to YouTuber heyitsfeiii (you can check her out here) when she put it on one of her vlog videos recently. I searched ages for it and when I finally found it I was listening to it for a while. It’s the sort of song you’d use on a YouTube video to show off fashion pieces or even for a snowboarding type video. I love it though!

Finally we have a song I found through some random videos on Facebook and it’s such a lovely song and one I’ll definitely love listening to in the summer months! It’s definitely a song I could imagine putting onto a snowboarding video.

Favourite Game – Persona 5.

I’m not sorry that this game keeps appearing here… I’m really not! I spent the start of 2018 playing this game again and as sad as it sounds, all because I want to 100% the game and get all the trophies! I love this game so damn much and as soon as I’ve completed this I will FINALLY move onto Persona 4: Golden and you won’t have to hear about this game anymore… 😛

So those are ALL my favourites from January! What’s your favourites from last month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week so far.

March Favourites 2015

Wow it’s April already and I’m somewhat excited for this month. It’s my boyfriends birthday in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to give him his presents.

As well as that it’s Easter and soon we can have a couple of lazy days to eat chocolate… Well you might be able to, but I probably won’t!

Either way March flew by and it was a pretty decent month. It was hard to try and think of some favourites as I hadn’t even realised how much I was even using some of my products until I looked around my room and pretending I was getting ready to go out.

That sounds bizarre I know, but here we go.

  • Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this lip liner, so after swatching it in Boots, I decided to pick it up. Since buying this I’ve done nothing but use it. This is a gorgeous pink nude lip liner that works on its own or underneath a lip colour of a similar shade. The best thing about this lip liner is the packaging. It isn’t one you need to sharpen (which I HATE) and instead is one you quickly twist up to get more pencil. It’s also really creamy to apply but I always pop some lip balm on underneath to keep my lips moisturised, as well as give myself some more comfort when applying this. I’ll hopefully review this soon, as it’s just too good not to. But even so, I doubt there is much point as this lip liner is loved by so many that people probably already know how good it is. We shall see!

  • Lush Pot O’ Gold Shower Jelly.

I’ve really started to get back into the shower products by Lush lately and I find they’re at a pretty decent price too. Their Mother’s Day range has now come and gone and we currently only have the Easter range left to take advantage of whilst it’s around. Which of course I have done. I remember smelling this jelly a while ago and I didn’t think much about it, but when I popped back in a few weeks ago I fell in love and bought it straight away. It smells just like Honey I Washed The Kids Soap which I LOVE. Not only that but it’s a gorgeous yellow gold colour and gives off a bit of shimmer when you use it. I’m going to be reviewing this before it leaves us soon as it’s just too good not to talk about. I can’t wait to review it now.

  • Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy EDP.

I’ve mentioned this perfume time and time again on my blog and this is my second, maybe third bottle of this now. It’s by far one of my favourites and will always be one I pop on during the summer too. This smells yummy and of berries, especially blueberries and is very strong too. It doesn’t remind me of the original Fantasy in any way, shape, or form (which I also really like) which is what I love the most about it. The bottle even looks gorgeous! This is a strong perfume too and whenever I wear it out I get compliments of how nice I smell, which I can’t complain about! Just love this one so much.

  • Nivea Rescue & Care Hand Balm.

My hand creams have been letting me down lately, even my L’Occitane ones which I’m pretty disappointed about. So whilst I was out food shopping I picked this one up which was on offer at the time. It’s one of the best hand creams I’ve bought for a long time! I use this before I pop out the house for the day and it leaves my hands lovely and soft for ages. It also has a light and pleasant smell to it which I really like. For a hand cream that is aimed towards dry and chapped hands, it isn’t thick which is another plus for me. I’d definitely pick this up again, probably for my bag next.

  • Burt’s Bees Refreshing Lip Balm in Pink Grapefruit.

This was one of my Christmas presents from my friend Poppy and it’s one I’ve really enjoyed using since then. I love Burt’s Bees lip balms and sadly I recently accidentally left my one in my work trousers, which resulted in a ruined lip balm. I was gutted but oh well, shit happens. Either way the Burt’s Bees lip balms really are moisturising and I find this one is rather thick for a tube too which I love. I’ve been applying this throughout the day when I’m at home, as well as in the evenings and before bed. It smells of pink grapefruit which really wakes you up if you use it in the morning. I would love to try more Burt’s Bees in the future!

So those were my favourites for this month. What products have you been enjoying? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and see you soon.

August Wish List

My wish list for August was without a doubt a really hard one to put together. Some months I’ll want everything I can get my hands on, and others I won’t want hardly anything. There are quite a few items at the moment that I really want and some I’m not so fussed about. I am trying my best to save money at the moment, but the past month has been tough, with needing to buy my new glasses, as well as other mishaps along the way. However at this moment in time I’m able to start saving again and trying my best to be good (which I’m sure won’t last that long!) so as usual, spending ban or not I am going to keep on wishing for things that I probably won’t buy… Yet anyway. 😛

August Wish List

  • Etude House Peel Off Base Coat.

I discovered this nail polish base coat on eBay recently, whilst trying to find another peel off base coat. I’ve heard quite a few reasonable things about Etude House and whilst I have never tried their products myself, I could see me picking this base coat up. Basically you apply this to the nail like a normal base coat, apply your nail polish on top (this is designed to remove glitter polish easily so…) and then a top coat. When you’ve had enough of your polish you just peel it off of the nail, simple as that! I could do with this for my glitter polish, as well as my average nail polishes as I would love to be able to wear polish days after work, but it can be so awkward with the faff of removing it before work or after an evening out. This wouldn’t break my bank at £3.50 either (P&P included!) so I think I shall be ordering this pretty soon.

  • New Look Blue Paisley Print Crochet Hem High Waisted Shorts.

I spotted these shorts on a blog post by ellistuesday and fell in love with them straight away! I popped into New Look in Milton Keynes to try them on and possibly buy them, but I discovered they had none left in that store, nor any of the other New Look stores I could go and continue my search at. So I haven’t bought these… Yet! I have seen them though and they are gorgeous and I really do want them. I’d wear them both in the warm and cold months. In the warmer months I would pair these with a white vest or t-shirt and in the jumper with a cream jumper, or a burgundy jumper. I’d order these online, as that’s the only place that stocks my size at the moment… Although in truth I am in two minds about whether to order these or not. We shall see!

  • Born Pretty Holographic Nail Polish in shade #10.

Another nail polish found on eBay, oh how I love eBay, you can find some complete bargains on there (jots down in notebook “Must make a blog post about eBay!”). I stumbled across quite a few of Born Pretty’s holographic nail polishes that I liked the look of, but out of the small few I fell in love with, this is by far the shade I want the most. A gorgeous ocean blue shade, this blue holographic nail polish would look gorgeous for a summer holiday, as well as some scale patterns painted on to make them look very mermaid. I only have one holographic nail polish and I really do crave  more! This costs less than £4.00 including postage from eBay which I think is a complete bargain!

  • While (1<2) by Deadmau5.

I am a MASSIVE fan of Deadmau5 and he’s an artist I listen to quite a bit so when he announced a new album earlier this year, I got super excited! Now it’s out and I’ve only heard a couple of tracks from it, crazy huh? I basically just want to wait until I own the album to listen to all of the songs from it. I do really need to pick up more of his albums, as whilst I own them I don’t physically own them… If that makes sense. xD But either way I really can’t wait to pick this up soon.

  • Britney Spears Fantasy Twist.

As Midnight Fantasy is one of my favourite perfumes and over the years Fantasy has grown on me, it sort of makes sense for me to pick up this twist set, doesn’t it really? Both of them together are 50ml, but of course are 25ml each. I really would like a perfume that I can throw into my hand bag before I head out of the house in a rush, as well as before work and these just seem perfect! These won’t break the bank for me to buy either at just over £20 too, especially with the discount that you can get from Voucher Codes. I could really do with some new perfume, I’m slowly running out and it’s making me sad!

  • The Body Shop Banana Shampoo.

This was something I’ve just recently spoken about on my July favourites and I have to say how much I do really love this shampoo! I do not as of yet own it, but I can see me buying it this weekend. I bought it for my boyfriend as part of a huge anniversary present and he loved it, and so did I when I tried it out. It leaves your hair feeling soft, smooth and shiny as well as smelling amazing! For £4.50 this shampoo wouldn’t exactly break the bank and it really is worth the  money. I recommend giving it a sniff when you’re next in The Body Shop, especially if you love the smell of banana as much as I do.

  • Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm in Berry Bomb.

When the Baby Lips first came out, I KNEW I needed to try at least one of them, after them being ranted and raved about for years. Finally when I gave these a go I did enjoy and love using them, but this love soon faded. I’ve only recently come to fall in love with them all over again and I already know that I want to try Berry Bomb, for a few reasons. I wear a lot of dark pink lip colours, which border on purple sometimes and whilst I’m working or out and about I do like to top these up with lip balm and this dark pink/purple lip balm would work perfectly with those! Plus I assume it smells and taste of blue berries… Or at least I would hope so!

  • Illamasqua Matte Lip Liquid in Forbidden.

I recently read a review for this liquid lipstick and I fell in love with the colour, so one afternoon in July whilst I was shopping in town I went and swatched Forbidden for myself and I just fell in love even more. It’s a gorgeous baby pink shade, that surprisingly suited my yellow skin tone. I nearly bought it there and then but I knew I needed to save money, so I left  it. Sadly it’s now rumoured to be discontinued, but once again eBay has come to my rescue! God bless eBay, I swear. I have heard bad things about Illamasqua’s liquid lipsticks but quite honestly I don’t care if this doesn’t last that long, as the shade Forbidden is divine and one I need in my collection for sure.

  • MAC Lipglass in Sweet Strawberry.

Now this is from the old Hello Kitty collection, that came out in 2008/2009, I’m not 100% sure but I remember craving after that whole collection as a teenager, and sadly I never picked up a single thing from it. I remember wanting Big Bow lipstick and this lipglass. I found a seller online who has these for sale, brand new in the box, for less than £10. Legit and everything my MAC loving friends! I was close to buying this on Monday after hearing some rubbish news, but I didn’t and decided to be good. I have so many lip products at the moment that I never know which to use next! I can definitely see me buying this soon mind, as I would wear the hell out of it over the Christmas period.

So those are my wish list bits and pieces for August! What have you been lusting over at the moment? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and see you soon.

July Favourites 2014

DSC_0001

I can’t believe it’s August already and I also can’t believe it’s been raining. I started writing this post up on Friday and literally sighed after each time that I looked out the window, how dramatic huh?

This months favourites are pretty summery, which is to be expected after all the lovely weather we’ve been having the past month. Fingers crossed this rain passes so we have some more.

There are quite a lot of new products featured on here that I’ve either only just reviewed or really need to get round to reviewing, sooo if you see anything you would like to see being reviewed, PLEASE let me know in the comments!

This post is going up later than my usual favourites posts, but I’ve just been so busy and such that I sadly didn’t get time to post this until today. Oh well, better late than never!

  • The Body Shop Banana Shampoo.

The reason this is a picture taken from The Body Shop’s website and not an actual photo of said product is because I don’t actually own this shampoo… But my boyfriend does. I bought him this just before we went to Bristol in June as part of his anniversary present and to this day he has loved it. Whenever I stay at his house I use this shampoo and it really does leave my hair feeling soft and smooth, as well as looking healthy. The most appealing thing to me about this shampoo is the smell! It smells like real bananas, which makes me happy, as (random fact!) I’m actually allergic to bananas and due to this I often have to avoid banana things that contain actual bananas, just incase they cause me to flare up. However I gladly discovered in Bristol that this shampoo doesn’t set off any allergic reactions, so since then I’ve used this on and off. I do intend to buy my own bottle of this soon, when however, I don’t know! This is for all hair types and I really do recommend it, especially if you love the smell of banana as much as I do!

  • The Body Shop Body Sorbet in Strawberry.

When I heard about this coming out well before June, I KNEW I needed it in my life! As much as I love having soft skin, like pretty much most women out there I loathe moisturising. It can take ages (well 10 minutes for myself) and never wants to sink in as quickly as well all hope. I have found moisturisers that DO sink in, as well as the patience to apply them, but during the recent hot summer days it just feels too hot and clammy to wear any moisturiser. However, The Body Shop have brought out their Body Sorbet’s just in time! These cooling moisturisers help keep your skin soft and smooth, as well as cool feeling and smelling gorgeous. They come in 5 scents and the one I picked up was Strawberry, my favourite Body Shop scent. You can read my full review for this here, but I have  loved using this throughout July and I know I’ll continue to enjoy it throughout the rest of the year, not just during summer.

  • Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy EDP.

This is the only celebrity fragrance I currently own and is by far one of my favourite fragrances to wear. It smells gorgeous and lasts all day and for an 100ml bottle it costs just £19.99, bargain eh? But anyhoo, as to why I like this in the first place… When the weather is really warm I often reach for stronger perfumes and this is probably one of the first ones I will reach for, for many reasons. Not only is it a strong perfume but it also smells of blueberries, which is a really nice for the summertime, I think anyway. I’m near the end of my massive 100ml bottle, so I am going to be buying a new bottle really soon as I can’t really live without it. I love wearing this for work as well as over the weekend as it’s just a lovely perfume to use to keep you smelling beautiful all day long.

  • The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet.

I heard about this coming out over the pond in America because it had even hit shelves over here in the UK the same time as the Body Sorbet and I have to say how much I love this stuff! I was hesitant to purchasing it, even after testing it out in store (and admittedly falling in love with it) I didn’t feel it was worth the price tag of £12. However I walked around town for a while after trying it and decided that it was actually something I needed in my life, even for £12. The sorbet is both cooling and very hydrating for the skin, as well as that it’s also meant to leave your skin with a matte finish too, which is pretty much what my skin needs, as it’s combination. I already know I’ll be re-purchasing this moisturiser, and will be writing a review up of it very soon! My skin has improved so much since using it.

  • Benefit Benebalm Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm.

I can’t remember when these came out, but I remember reading about them being released and I was so damn excited! There are four of them to choose from and when I went shopping with my friend Poppy back in June in Milton Keynes, we popped into Boots and my advantage points were burning a hole in my pocket, so I decided to treat myself to this lip balm and I’m really glad I did! It was a tough choice between Benebalm, Lollibalm and Chachabalm, but I love my reds so this one won! This lip balm is super hydrating and lasts for ages. It’s been a staple for long close shifts at work, where I’m usually too busy to get a chance to keep reapplying lip products. It’s nice worn alone or underneath/over a red lipstick. I’ve teamed it with my Lush Santa Baby Lip Tint (review here) quite a lot throughout June and it’s worked really well! I’ll definitely be reviewing this soon, as well as buying the other balms in future.

  • MAC Goddess of the Sea Lipstick.

As many will know, this lipstick is from the Alluring Aquatic collection and one I snapped up pretty much before it was due to be taken off the shelves forever. I was going to buy this lipstick in Bristol after swatching it the first day I was there, but by Monday it was taken off of the shelves and I was told it was no longer available to buy. Fast forward a week or two later and I had it in my possession! I picked it up from the MAC counter in Birmingham’s Selfridges and the woman who sold it me was so lovely! Anyhoo… This shade is gorgeous! A dark violet-purple and due to it being a cremesheen it is perfect to wear during the summertime, as it feels comfortable and the colour just works perfectly! I’ve been wearing this loads during my time off work, as well as in work. I’ve had many compliments on it and upon telling customers it was by MAC they just sighed and said, “I can’t afford MAC!” oh dear. xD But anyhoo… This WILL be reviewed in the future, probably one of the days this month. I can’t wait to review it quite frankly as this has fast turned into one of my favourite MAC lipsticks and I wish I had picked up two of these now so that I had a spare for the future.

  • Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me.

As my previous reviews of Baby Lips show (Mint Fresh review and Pink Punch review), I’ve owned these lip balms before and whilst I loved them at first, I slowly grew for forget their existence and for a while they just sat in the bottom of my handbag gathering handbag dust. However everyone has always ranted and raved about Cherry Me the most, including my closest friends. SO I decided to pick it up for myself to see what was so great about it, and I really do love this lip balm. It reminds me so much of Nivea’s Lip Balm in Cherry, which I used to own and use every moment of the day when I was at school. I remember it well and the scent just reminds me of that time. I pretty much just have this lip balm for work to apply to my dark and red lipsticks, it works beautifully over Rebel, for example. I can see this being my go to lip balm for winter time mind as it tastes gorgeous, smells gorgeous too and is lovely to wear and quick to apply! Another product I’ll be reviewing soon!

  • Simple Kind To Eyes Soothing Eye Balm.

This is an eye balm I have gone back to time and time again and this is it. It’s always been gentle on the skin around my eyes, as well as doing what it actually should. Other eye balms don’t compete against this one, price tag included on that! I’m just glad to have this back in my beauty regime as it’s just something I can’t really live without. In this warm and humid weather it can make my eyes feel very dry and tired, but this eye balm leaves them feeling cool and awakened, which is definitely what I need for early starts at work! A roller ball eye gel would work wonders too, but I never find these work as well as they should. I definitely recommend this one though if you’re after something cheap and cheerful, which will actually do what it says on the tin.

  • Ciate Nail Polish in Pillow Fight.

This was a freebie in Marie Claire magazine back in June and I picked up two of these magazines for the nail polishes. I wrote about the first Ciate set I picked up, but I managed to get myself another set, which included Pillow Fight. Pillow Fight is a gorgeous purpley grey nail polish and something different, that I knew I needed to have in my collection for autumn and winter. This being said I have been wearing it a lot over the course of June and it has worked beautifully with some glitter nail polish too! I would definitely and probably will in the future buy the full size version of this, as it’s just too gorgeous not to keep in my collection.

  • The Body Shop Hand Cleanse Gel in Strawberry.

I love scented hand sanitizers and whilst I love my Pocketbac’s, they’re too pricey to keep using 24/7, so I opt for The Body Shop’s versions instead. I’ve pretty much tried all of them bar a couple and my most recently used one is Strawberry, which has fast become one of my favourites. I keep these in my handbag to use whilst on the go, as well as for work and I always get lovely compliments about how gorgeous they smell, mainly from my manager who can always smell when I’ve used it! They usually have their hand sanitizers on 3 for 2, so I always pick some up whenever I pop into The Body Shop!

So those are my favourites for July! What products did you enjoy using last month? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a great weekend!
