Lush Bubbly Shower Gel – Review

I want to start off this review by saying that I haven’t loved a Christmas product by Lush since I discovered Snow Fairy about 7 years ago! As well as the Yog Nog scent a couple of years ago when it first emerged. I was gutted when Lush decided not to bring back the Yog Nog soap and bath bomb but I am so glad they replaced the scent with something just as yummy, Bubbly shower gel.

Lush describe this as:

A bucks fizz breakfast boost packed full of sweet orange oil and fresh grape juice to help your morning go off with a bang, or should that be pop?

To be honest I can’t make the connection with it being like bucks fizz… I can understand why it would be great for in the morning as it is so refreshing and one I use when I do really early shifts for work in the morning to wake me up! It contains both orange and lime oils so it’s a lovely citrus smelling shower gel. It reminds me of something you would pick up and use in the summer months or during a summer holiday, but this is perfect to use to perk you up on dull mornings and days in general really!

I picked this shower gel up last month when I attended the Coventry bbloggers event and I wish I had been really naughty now and picked up a bigger bottle! I nearly bought a 1kg bottle in London from Oxford Street but I was good! I picked up the little 100g bottle for £4.95 but online (and in most stores I’m sure) you can pick up the medium 250g bottle for £9.95 or the large 500g bottle for £16.50. I’m not sure how much the 1kg bottle costs.

The first thing I heard about Bubbly is how it reminds people of the Celebrate scent with its gorgeous oranges and lemon smell. It’s a lovely orange colour too. I personally think it shares its scent with Golden Wonder bath bomb which is one of my favourites! It’s has quite a thick consistency to it which I rather like as it means a little bit goes a long way and the bubbles and lather it creates are wonderful.

I teamed this up with my Golden Wonder in the bath recently and it was amazing! I used Bubbly as both a bubble bath and as a shower gel and I felt so refreshed and clean afterwards.

It leaves your skin feeling lovely and soft and lightly scented with its orange and lemon smell. I love using it when I’m going out for the day as people always comment that they can smell it lingering. LOVE IT! Due to this I especially love to use it before bed. It’s great getting under the duvet and getting a gentle waft of Bubbly.

I would say if Snow Fairy is too sweet for you and Rose Jam is too floral, then you will LOVE Bubbly! I don’t think I’ve met anyone yet who has said they’re not a fan of this new Christmas edition… If Lush don’t bring it back next year I will be gobsmacked as it is amazing! It’s a shame there isn’t any gold shimmer/glitter in it really as it would be perfect.

I definitely have the largest bottles of this on my wish list (alongside Snow Fairy of course!) and I plan to pick up loads in the sale as I will use this alllllll over the summer.

I don’t really have much more to say about Bubbly apart from that is is a perfect staple, especially if you need a pick me up on the cold mornings that are looming.

What do you think of Bubbly shower gel? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

April Wish List

I won’t lie when I say that this wish list post seemed hard to do at first because I honestly don’t really want anything special at this moment in time. I put that down to wanting to save money and I did infact treat myself towards the end of March to a few things (3DS game, Wall E Pop Vinyl and Attack on Titan badges…).

However I did think long and hard and even searched through my wish list folder in my bookmarks, as well as my history and found 6 things to talk about. One I actually spoke about last month but there is a reason why I’m bringing it up again this month.

So this is my wish list for this month, some I don’t need, some I would like. But for the majority, I probably won’t even buy.

  • Cooking Mama Bon Appetit Nintendo 3DS Game.

Now I’ve bought a new game I probably have enough games to last me another couple of months, but no. No that never happens. I’ve always loved the Cooking Mama games and whilst they’re seen as being stressful due to the sort of challenges you need to complete, I find it rather relaxing at the best of times. I also never get time to cook in my real life (not properly anyway!) so it’d be good to try and attempt to make some dishes in game anyway. This isn’t that much money either so if I’m really bored and want something new, it won’t break the bank for me.

  • Yankee Candle Set of 2 Celebration Large Jars (Red Velvet & Celebrate).

I know I spoke about Celebrate last month (link here) but this is sold as a set so sadly I couldn’t avoid mentioning this candle again. My favourite Yankee Candle is Red Velvet but sadly it has been discontinued in the UK, so whenever I find it for sale at a decent price I usually want to buy it. These candles are being sold by QVC at a bargain and whilst they are currently on a waiting list, me and my boyfriend are probably going to be picking these up. I’ll keep Red Velvet and he can have Celebrate. QVC always offer some really good deals so keep your eyes peeled on them for these.

  • Vans Realm Backpack in Stars and Stripes Print.

I’m not in any need of a new backpack, but I’m keeping my eye firmly peeled on this one for in future sales. It’s a really pretty Vans one with stars and stripes print all over. My current backpack is amazing, but I have a feeling by the end of uni life it’ll be on its last days. I would like a purple galaxy print backpack, but I shall still keep my eye on this one. I may be trying to get away from my skate/snow style but I love my backpacks, they’re comfortable and roomy.

  • Yankee Candle Love is in the Air Hearts Melt Warmer.

I’ve been after a new wax tart warmer for ages, as whilst my current one does the job, it is badly chipped in most places and not exactly the best to look at due to it. Plus I only paid a couple of quid for it, so I can’t complain much. Who can deny a cute melt warmer, which will leave your melts in heart shapes? I’ll wait for this to go into the sale mind, as I’m not paying over £10 for this. That’s just too much for me.

  • My Neighbour Totoro Notebook.

I love notebooks. I always want a new one and I honestly don’t know why. But for my dissertation I really want this notebook. I’d carry it around with me everywhere for ideas and to jot bits and pieces in. This isn’t that expensive and I’m pretty sure it isn’t official, but I’m not that bothered about it. I love My Neighbour Totoro so I can’t really deny this being mine. I have also spied an Attack on Titan notebook that looks exactly the same as this one, but I don’t think any are for sale over on eBay at the moment… I will keep my eye out though.

  • Nendoroid Yoshino.

Finally we have a Nendoroid I’m after and my boyfriend has actually bought for me. I’ve always been drawn to this Nendoroid and whilst I don’t know why, I do at the same time. I mean, look how cute she is!? She’s from the anime Date A Live, which I’ve only started watching recently and whilst it is rather odd, it’s also pretty cool too. I need to finish watching the first season so I can move onto the second, which started not long ago in Japan. Nendoroids have definitely turned into my guilty nerdy pleasure and I just can’t help but be fascinated by them. They’re so damn cute and make great collectables for adults and anime fans alike. She didn’t even cost that much including postage which is amazing. The sad news is I won’t be able to have her until August, sad times. But she’ll certainly be worth the wait!

So what do you have on your wish list this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and see you soon.

March Wish List

Afternoon all, I hope you’re well! I’m here again with one of my favourite posts, my monthly wish list. I really enjoy sharing with my readers what I’m lusting after each month, even if I’m poor and need to save money! Since Valentine’s Day I’ve been on a spending ban as I need to save money to try and move out, as well as bills and such but the odd treat may not hurt, especially if they don’t cost a lot of money. I shall see…

There are quite a few items from Etsy in this wish list and I do apologise for this, but I have been loving Etsy lately!

  • Etsy Eeveelution Zip Bag.

I have been looking on Etsy lately for Eeveelution related items, as Pokemon don’t sell much of this over in the UK so it can be really hard to find and if you do, it can then turn out to be pretty expensive, which sucks! Etsy isn’t exactly cheap due to how expensive delivery can be from over the pond, BUT the stuff you can find can be beautiful. This zip bag being a great example. I mean LOOK how cute the Eeveelution’s are on it? I would definitely use this for when I have a long day at university and want to keep loads of little bits and pieces with me, such as sanitary towels (for time of the month!), make up, perfume, pens, etc. If this was big enough I’d even think about using it on a night out to give me a quirky look.

  • Yankee Candle Large Jar in Celebrate.

Easter is looming and with that all the shops bring out their limited edition products and chocolates, and this includes Yankee Candle. I’d heard about this candle coming out and it sounds delicious! It’s meant to smell like a lemon cake, which I personally love and have owned candles in the past with this same scent. This is selling out everywhere and I’m really not surprised to be honest. I haven’t yet been able to give this a smell, but when I do I can see me falling in love and wanting to buy. I don’t really need anymore Yankee Candle jars as I have loads at the moment, but I want to make sure I pick this up whilst it’s out to buy. I don’t actually think this is limited edition but I do feel like it won’t be around long. Yankee Candle would be silly to take this away mind as it sounds lush!

  • Esty Eevee iPhone 5 Customised Case.

I love my iPhone and when I got it over a year ago the one thing I was excited about the most was all the amazing cases I could put on it. Since then I have owned various lovely cases (mostly fox themed!) and like most people, I always crave more. I love Pokemon and have been after a Pokemon themed case for a while, but the official ones are hella expensive! My friend Gabriella (hey hun!) has been recommending Etsy to me for ages now so I ventured there for a mooch of some cheap and customised Pokemon related items and this is one I have found. You can get all sorts of customised cases on Etsy but the one that got my attention was the Eeveelution ones and the Eevee one stood out the most. It’s so cute and imagine using this whilst out and about? The  only thing I don’t like about it however, is the price. At over £20 including delivery it is shocking… But I’ll probably has this as a treat in the future.

  • eBay Galaxy Skirt.

I love Black Milk, however I don’t like their price tags and whilst I own one piece of Black Milk clothing, I got it for a bargain! These bargains aren’t easy to come by however and I’ve began to think about buying some similar knock offs. Oh naughty me! I’m not rich like some people so… Anyway… I love galaxy print and I always have, so when it came out everywhere I should have been happy, but I was actually annoyed. Now that phase has died down I’m getting back into it again. I would love some purple galaxy leggings or a skirt and this skirt is ideally the sort of thing I would like, especially with spring and summer looming. This won’t break the bank and will look gorgeous dressed up with black tights, a black or even navy t-shirt tucked in and some boots. I don’t mind paying less than a tenner to be honest, it’s better than over £50 for a Black Milk one.

  • Etsy Eeveelution’s Phone Charm.

Like I’ve already said about my iPhone, I love it. I’m pleased to finally have a phone that won’t just do good things, but can look good too! Recently places have created and brought out phone charms that you pop into your phones ear jack. They’ve been out since the iPhone 4s came out and have continued. I’ve bought one in the past and it really did give a personal and unique feel to my phone. When I found these cute Eeveelution’s ones on Etsy I know I wanted one. You can actually pick these up at a decent price from the official Pokemon Center but I really like the look of these customised ones as they give a lovely personal touch. I would get the Sylveon one myself as it just looks so cute.

  • Sugarhill Boutique  Curious Fox Jumper.

I’ve been eying this jumper up for months now but never bought it as it was too much money for £45.00 in my opinion. However now the sales are on it’s only £25.00, which is a bit more acceptable for me. This comes in grey and black, but I think the black looks better, and plus it’s the only one left out of the two. This would look gorgeous with all sorts, especially jeans and a skirt. I would wear this loads for uni as it looks so comfortable and snug. I don’t think this is even selling in my size anymore, but I shall keep my eye on it.

There is another item on my favourites, but this will be mentioned in a separate post on Saturday, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for this as it’s a very exciting thing I will be talking about! All I shall give away about it is that it’s footwear and Adventure Time… Keep tuned!

What’s on your wish list this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

I hope everyone’s week is going well, as well as March so far.

Until next time, take care all.
