Christmas @ Lush 2014!

Image taken from lush.co.uk

You know when Christmas is coming when Lush bring out all the Christmas goodies! These came out in October and about a month on I’ve ONLY JUST bought myself some Lush Christmas goodies. I had been in and smelt everything a few days after their release but 1. I didn’t feel up to buying anything, 2. The queue was HUGE in the store, and 3. I was pretty skint at the time and I knew I wanted EVERYTHING.

The week just passed, I ventured into two different Lush stores, one in Cheltenham and one in Coventry. The girls who I spoke to in both stores were lovely and I would put names, but I didn’t catch their names, sorry girls!

So from looking in both stores at products this week passed, I also got to finally have a PROPER look at the products that are out for Christmas. I now finally have an idea of which products I would like to get my hands on either before Christmas, or on Christmas Day in Lush’s sale. I’m super excited for the sale, I will be waking at the crack of dawn to buy myself lots of lovely bits and pieces!

SO onto my list of what I want!

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb – £3.40.

If you’re wondering what’s inside this golden bath bomb, give it a shake and drop it in the bath to reveal its glittering contents. Soak in its soft citrus fragrance as the vibrant gifts inside unveil themselves and make you feel as if you’re bathing in luxury. The uplifting blend of sweet orange, lime and cognac oils will leave you feeling cheerful.

This bath bomb has been out for quite a few years now and when the year comes that they stop releasing it, I think Lush fans all over will be up in arms! I’ve smelt this year after year in stores and it smells delicious and fresh, perfect to pick you up on those early and cold winter mornings. I finally want to try one of these this year and I intend to pick one up pretty soon, as I want it to enjoy on my mornings off work before I do some Christmas shopping.

Snowman Jelly – £3.50.

Wibble and wobble this snowman-shaped shower jelly all over your body. He’s made with a refreshing and sweet scent, and we’ve added buchu, bergamot and Sicilian lemon oils for an extra mood boost. Seaweed and glycerine help this glide over your skin, leaving it soft and clean.

I’ve never tried any of the jellies that Lush have brought out for Christmas, and I don’t see how I can really pass on this little guy. I mean, look at him! I love the Lush jellies! They’re great to use with scrubbing mittens and a real treat to use on the skin once or twice a week. This is quite a refreshing scent which reminds me of a lighter version of Golden Wonder which I like! I’m ideally thinking of buying this to have for my holiday, but I’m unsure. We shall see!

Snow Fairy Shower Gel – £3.75 for 100g, £7.50 f0r 250g and £11.95 for 500g.

Add some Christmas sparkle to your day with this candy-sweet shower gel. Snow Fairy is back again this year, bringing its fairy dust magic into your shower, now with the addition of skin-softening seaweed.

This is a Christmas product that keeps coming back and I doubt very much it will be leaving Lush shelves anytime soon. A product that you either love or hate and I can safely say I LOVE Snow Fairy! The first product I bought from Lush was The Godmother Soap because I loved the scent and when I was told a shower gel that smelt exactly the same existed, I knew I had to have it! That same year I picked it up and fell in love. However I haven’t bought it since then and I really don’t know why. I think I’ll be picking myself a 500g bottle up this year as I really do fancy it to have for treats for myself. I can’t describe the smell of this, you just have to go and smell it yourself.

Reindeer Rock Soap – £3.10 f0r 100g, £7.75 for 250g and £15.50 for 500g.

This sparkling, reindeer-embossed soap is a berrylicious treat made from a dried lingonberry infusion. The delicate mix of uplifting and cleansing bergamot oil fuses with calming and toning cypress to leave you feeling refreshed, comforted and ready for the Christmas rush.

Over the weekend I picked a 100g block of this soap up, as after smelling it in the Cheltenham store I just knew I needed to have it. I don’t often use Lush soaps as I’m allergic to quite a few of them but I have my fingers crossed this one will be okay. This smells JUST LIKE The Comforter Bath Bomb and Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly, a gorgeous blackcurrant scent that smells like Ribena. I love Ribena so I know I’ll love this. I will be reviewing this very soon so keep eyes peeled!

Yog Nog Soap – £3.40 f0r 100g, £8.50 for 250g and £17.00 for 500g.

A creamy Christmas tipple of a soap made with moisturising soya yoghurt and a dash of festive spice. Lather up and indulge your senses with this fudgy blend of clove bud and ylang ylang essential oils. Dusted with a generous amount of aromatic cocoa powder, you’ll be ready to don your best Christmas knitwear after using this spicy little number that’s 100% palm-free.

I gave this soap a smell on Wednesday and fell in love there and then. I’m surprised I didn’t buy a bar to be honest and when I walked past the store a second time that day I had to resist the urge (seeing as I’m trying to be good in the run up to Christmas!). However I went into the Coventry store on Saturday to have look at everything and pick up a few things. My boyfriend loved this soap too so I bought him one for Christmas (which he knows about!). I can only describe this soap as being super creamy and it smells of a cheesecake and tiramisu, both desserts that I adore. Due to the soya bean ingredient in this soap it makes it super creamy and moisturising. I’m DEFINITELY going to pick up more of this soap and quite frankly I can’t wait to start using it this week.

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar – £2.75.

Make bathtime an even sweeter time with this pink peak of a bubble bar. Crumble this under running water for mountains of glistening bubbles topped with a magical pink mist. The candy scent wafting through the steam includes Fair Trade vanilla absolute, wrapping you in a comforting embrace. If you like the fragrance of our Rock Star soap and Creamy Candy bubble bar, you’re in for a treat.

Another Lush product that has been around since forever, but has changed its shape and name since I first saw it. I’ve bought this quite a few times over the years and I really do like it. It’s basically just a Christmassy version of the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar but who cares, I still love it! When you crumble this into the bath it leaves the back lovely and pink, with pink on the peaks of the white bubbles. This is really lovely and for less than £3.00, I would be a fool to pick one up, and anyone reading this would be too. 😉

So White Bath Bomb – £3.50.

Be the fairest of them all with this apple-scented bath bomb that’s as pure as the driven snow. As it dissolves, enveloping you in a white mist with a crisp and delicate fragrance, its rosy centre reveals itself. The bergamot oil and rose absolute will help you feel calm and peaceful, while neroli oil and orange flower absolute will revive your (Christmas) spirit.

This is by far one of my favourite products from Lush, so I am gutted that it only comes out once a year! Since this first came out as a tiny bath bomb I have been in love and bought it every year. Over the years they’ve really adapted it, making it bigger and putting red/pink inside of it to add some colour to the bath. This smells of fresh apples and is really strong too, so whenever I’ve used this in the bath I have always smelt delightful afterwards. I’m going to be stocking up on these this year and already have it in mind to buy 5… Bit much isn’t it? NAH!

Father Christmas Bath Bomb – £3.50.

A festive bath bomb to bring Santa’s presence into the bath. Once you pop this jolly bomb in your bath, it turns your water from bright red to vivid green. This year, Father Christmas will fill your bathroom with the popular sweet scent of Snow Fairy. All we want for Christmas is this Santa, baby!

For the first time in quite a few years Lush have changed Father Christmases scent and added Snow Fairy into it, rather than the satsuma scent which I somewhat like. I love Snow Fairy so for it to be in a bath bomb is just amazing! These smell really strong too, so I know I’ll be grabbing one of these to use on Christmas Eve or Day before I get ready for dinner.

So that’s pretty much my wish list for Lush’s Christmas range this year!

What’s on your wish list this year? Let me know in the comments below!

Hey have you tried any of these yet or in the past? If so, let me know about it in the comments too.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a great weekend.

I’m Going Back To University!

Image taken from weheartit.com

Yes it is official, I’m going back to university! This was something I was meant to do last year and the fact that I have gone through with it this year has really made me happy. BUT I won’t lie I’m also completely shitting myself.

I’ll be going to study my creative writing masters, which is a huge thing for me as it means I’m finally sorting out my career.

I left university in 2011, that’s 3 whole years of not learning anything… Well apart from when I went to study a short photography course at college, but I don’t think that counts!

Either way I am a mixture of excited and frightened and the fact that this has been a decision made within a week, it means I’m super stressed too.

I’m not studying in Birmingham but in Gloucester and Cheltenham so I’ll be having a dramatic change in my life for the rest of 2014. I’ll not only be traveling there and back for 4 days of the week but I’ll also be working 5 days a week. As well as that I’m hoping to move down there in mid-late October.

I’m really hoping to join some societies when I’m down there too, preferably the anime and snow societies!

I’m glad to have Poppy, one of my closest friends live down there as well as having my boyfriend come and live with me. My family and friends are being incredibly supportive and without them I wouldn’t even consider trying to take my masters again so I just want to thank them like 100 million times for helping me gain this opportunity and going through with it.

I’ll be keeping you all up to date with how my postgraduate university experience goes!

But I thought I would post this quick update on here… I really hope I do okay, please have your fingers crossed for me. ^_^

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a good week.
