February Favourites ’22

I know February is a short month anyway, but 2022 is flying past and I don’t know how I feel about that. I’m glad, because I want spring to come for light nights and slightly warmer days/better weather, but at the same time, I don’t want time to go too quickly as before we know it, we’ll be back at Christmas all over again!

I was recently speaking to someone about the idea of going to Japan again in 2023 and was met with, “Wait, you only went last year?” I went to Japan two years ago… Proof that as you get older, the years fly by quicker!

Alongside that, since turning 32 in January, February has been a month of me going, “Jeez I’m really getting old now, aren’t I?” and that’s kind of made me feel weird. It’s crazy how quick time flies after you turn a certain age (want to say 21). I do sometimes wish I’d spent more time enjoying my twenties, but that being said I don’t have any regrets.

ANYWAY today’s post isn’t about that stuff and is of course my monthly favourites! February was a strange one as whilst I definitely have things to share with you all, I don’t feel like I have a lot of general stuff to share?

As always, I hope you enjoy reading about things I loved throughout February.

Favourite Beauty Product – SBC Cotton Sensitive Body Wash.

I’ve been so excited to share this body wash with you all today as since receiving it around the start of February, it’s really improved my skin, which in turn makes me happy! My mom is the person who got me into SBC and their skin care, especially their body washes which seem to live in our bathroom for at least half of the year! This SBC body wash smells just like fresh washing and leaves my skin feeling baby soft, which is something I don’t achieve often! I’m shite for looking after my skin with body lotions and potions, not going to lie! A couple of pumps of this on my new silicone shower sponge and I’m guaranteed to be left a cotton scented lather and soft skin after I get out of the shower. This body wash is dermatologically tested which is great for me and my eczema, which recently flared up on my legs. This body wash did really help with it though, with no discomfort or stinging during use. I highly recommend this if you want something fancy in your shower, but have sensitive skin like me.

Favourite TV Show – The Legend of Vox Machina.

The Legend of Vox Machina is a new animated series on Amazon Prime that Dane has been looking forward to since March 2019 when the Kickstarter launched, which he backed. So, when the show finally launched in February, he was all over it for us to watch, which of course I was down for. Vox Machina is based off of the first Critical Role campaign/series, which if you didn’t know is a Dungeons & Dragons campaign written by Matt Mercer and played by a group of voice actors (Marisha Ray, Sam Reigel, Travis Willingham, Liam O’Brien, Laura Baily, Taliesin Jaffe and Ashley Johnson). It’s really popular and has recently gone into it’s third campaign/series! Dane is all caught up on the campaigns and loves Critical Role, I’m not an avid watcher of their campaigns but if Dane has it on, I will watch it on and off. Although the show is based off of D&D (and the Critical Role campaign) Vox Machina can be enjoyed by anyone, even if you’ve never watched the campaign it’s based off like me, or even if you aren’t a fan of D&D! It’s got some amazing adult comedy, bit of singing, lots of fighting and action and all around amazing show!

Favourite Music – Spiritbox – Eternal Blue.

Spiritbox are a band that Dane introduced me to a while ago now and for some reason I thought I’d mentioned them on my blog previously, which doesn’t seem to be the case! The song that caused me to really get into this band is the one I’ve added above called, “Secret Garden”, which is such a nice, mellow rock song to enjoy. I’ve especially been listening to their first album Eternal Blue when I’ve gone into the office to work, as well as when driving to and from places. Eternal Blue came out towards the end of 2021, so it’s a fairly new album, which I didn’t realise until I was writing this post. The band themselves are described as metal (progressive, alternative, etc) so if you like this genre of rock, make sure to check them out!

Favourite Game – Pokemon: Legends Arceus.

How could I not mention Legends Arceus this month? It came out at the end of January and every other weekend me and Dane have stayed in the house the whole time playing it. During the weekends where we’ve played it, we’ve snuggled up on the sofa under blankets and with hot drinks as we play this together! I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t 100% sure about the game when I first started playing it and felt a bit nervous of all sorts of aspects, mainly because it wasn’t the same as I was used to, due to the RPG gameplay. However, the more I’ve played it, the more I’ve started to relax and enjoy it, especially with Dane. I’m yet to finish the games story and in all honesty it’s not one I’ve been hooked on/about. In typical Japanese RPG fashion, the talking goes on and on and whilst I’m happy with it in Persona 5/Persona 5 Royal, it’s something I don’t like for Pokemon. Due to this, I’ve mostly skimmed the story, which in itself is a shame. This being said I really do enjoy and love the game, bugs aside too! I’ve recommend it to so many people, it’s definitely one to play as a Pokemon fan, especially if you love RPG.

Just a few of my favourite things…

Pokemon Center Vulpix Plush.

I was so happy to get my hands on this Pokemon plushie at the end of January. It’s been on my plushie grail list for as long as I can remember and after January payday, I decided to finally order one! This cost me less than Β£20 with shipping from Japan and I’m so glad I finally decided to get it! It’s from the Chiku Chiku Sewing collection from 2015 and I didn’t realise when buying it that it was new with tags, which is even better. I had some people online query if it was a fake plush, which was a tad annoying, but alas it’s very much real.

Ghost Foxes Bishop Longline Dress

Image taken from Black Milk Clothing. Unfortunately I don’t have any decent pictures of me wearing this yet… 😦

Black Milk Clothing Ghost Foxes Bishop Longline Dress.

This is a dress I decided to get to replace the Ghost Foxes Mini Strappy Dress, (which I have since sold) I bought back in July 2021. Although I’d removed the tags and washed it, I’ve never actually worn it and seeing the bishop dress style come out, I knew I had to get it. I LOVE the bishop style and already own three dresses in this cut, this one making it four. I’m planning to wear this dress for both work as well as in general. With it being white, it may be more the latter and especially for days out where I’m not eating or drinking anything that could stain and ruin this dress considering it’s white. I also picked up the longline so that it’s longer on me. The normal bishop cuts are okay on me, but if I can have a dress longer, I’ll always go for it! The length of this is amazing, it felt a little bit too long at first to me as I’m not quite used to it, but it’ll be perfect for work especially! The print is beautiful too with the ghost foxes on it. Foxes are my favourite animal, so I’m always a sucker for pieces with them on.

Cute outfits/clothes.

This is something I’m going to talk about in more detail in a couple of weeks on a post but I swear, getting myself some new staple pieces has been a big thing for me in 2022 so far. I don’t know what it is but I decided this year that I would love to do more with my style and change it up a bit. I’ve spent a lot of the past two years wearing the same baggy joggers, t-shirts and hoodies due to Covid and I want to change that. I want to dress up for the sake of it and feel cute whilst doing so, plus I think it would really do my mental health some good. I feel like a lot of pastel and cute prints have come into my wardrobe and I’m so excited to wear them all for work, as well as in general. If you want to see some of the stuff I picked up during February, make sure to keep eyes peeled for that post in a few weeks! For the time being, I’ve popped some of the items I’ll be talking about soon above, including Tallulah’s Threads, Disturbia and The Sad Ghost Club.

New enamel pins.

I ordered a couple of new enamel pins recently which was nice! I don’t know why but I feel like enamel pin purchasing has definitely slowed down a little, which is always good as quite frankly, I’m running out of space!

The sausage dog pin from MossFrogPress has been on my favourites list on Etsy for as long as I can remember. I made some monies from selling some pins at the end of 2021 so I decided to use the money I made to pick up this pin. As it was coming from America, the shipping was more expensive than the item itself, so this wasn’t a cheap pin in that aspect. Definitely worth it now! It’s such a cute pin I get to look at everyday when I get ready.

I finally decided to back FoxLeap’s enamel pin club on Patreon at the end of January so I could snag the Patreon exclusive Lady puppy pin that Sophie had made. Not only did I get my Lady pin (as this was a freebie), I also got a The Cat Returns pin too (which I chose), some prints and even a freebie Alolan Ninetales pin and mini pin! Sophie is one of the kindest and most generous people I know and definitely an enamel pin artist you should check out. Her Patreon is all about you picking what you would like that month, from a list of choices. No one else (as far as I’m aware…) offers this type of pin club.

Finally this is an enamel pin from Depop that I snagged second hand. This enamel pin is by Sugarbones, a Canadian artist I adore! I love her Studio Ghibli and Animal Crossing designs, but she decided in 2021 that she would move away from fan themed pieces, so whenever I see one I missed out on previously, I’m going to try and snag! Haku is my favourite Studio Ghibli character, so any gorgeous pins I see with him on, I have to buy! πŸ˜€

Kawaii AF Kickstarter campaigns!

Finally I’m here to share some adorable Kickstarter campaigns I’ve joined or at least had my eye on joining. They’re all so cute! I told myself in 2022 I wouldn’t back as many Kickstarter campaigns to try and save money, but some are just too adorable not to.

Project image for Toast the Raccoon Cute Plushie Toys + Keychains

Toast the Raccoon Cute Plushie Toys + Keychains – link (ends April 8th 2022).

This campaign is adorable and straight away as soon as it launched I backed it! It’s by Yencat and is based off of her popular and original character Toast, who as you can see is a raccoon. I LOVE raccoons, they’re my spirit animal due to their love of food and being chubby, I can relate to both of those. πŸ˜› Yencat decided to create a plushie Toast, as well as an enamel pin and plushie keychain. I’ve backed for all of them and already counting down the days until it arrives! The Kickstarter ends in April, so if you like the look of this campaign, you have plenty of time to check it out and back it yourself.

Project image for Delicows ~ enamel pins & more

Delicows ~ enamel pins & more – link (ends March 19th 2022).

I’m pretty sure I mentioned this briefly on my post about Quirkory and their Patreon pin club (you can read all about it here) but if I didn’t, I’m mentioning it again as earlier this week Quirkory released a new Kickstarter campaign, all about cows! Delicows is a mixture between delicious (food and drinks) and cows. Hence, Delicow! There are loads of different types of designs to choose from and I’ve backed for five of the designs in question, Cowpuccino (ideally one with Shugarlump), Moocha Latte, Cowreo, Peppermint Moocha Latte and maybe Darcowness. It feels like there’s a design for everyone in this collection and considering there are 24 plus designs to unlock there’s plenty of choice for everyone!

Images taken from Kickstarter.

Cute Animal Knitted Sweaters and Enamel Pins – link (ends March 3rd 2022).

This is a Kickstarter campaign by Dogzsquadarts I really like the look of at the moment and one I’m tempted to back before it ends in a couple of days! I am trying to be better with my money in 2022 and so far, it’s been going really well! I’ve already bought a shit ton of clothes and I don’t know if I want to buy anymore due to this fact. This being said, two of the pieces from this campaign are adorable and I do feel like I’d love at least one of them in my wardrobe! There’s the Shiba Inu sweater, as well as the Golden Retriever cardigan that I would love to get, but… I don’t know if I can justify it? I’m going to see how I feel about it, they’d both be adorable to get but unfortunately they aren’t pieces I could wear to work, otherwise that would probably spur me on more.

So there we have it guys, my favourites from February! What did you guys love throughout February? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and have an amazing weekend!

Life Lately – Busy Little Bee

To think the last time I wrote a life lately post it was in January… That was nearly 5 months ago… When is the year going to slow down?

If there is one thing that I feel I haven’t been on my blog lately, it’s busy bee… Like the title of this post states. If anything it feels like the complete opposite. My blog has been quiet lately with most weeks just having one post a week, instead of my usual two to three. This change is just due to how busy I am right now… Seriously!

Not just that, but I’ve kind of taken a step back from being so fixated on my blog. What I mean by that is:

“I MUST get a blog post up today!”

“I MUST work with brands that I want to work with and attend events I’d love to attend!”

Even so much as saying to Dane, “I CAN’T do that today because I have loads of blog stuff to do!”

You catch my drift?

When did my number one hobby become my side job?!

My blog is and always has been a place for me to go and talk about things I love and enjoy, not to stress over. I never want to have a day when I have a crap and stressful day because I’m having a life. That just takes the fun out of it!

I’m pretty sure you guys are wondering, “So Nat? How come postsΒ have gone from two to three a week to mostly just one recently?”

Well, I’ve been asking myself this same questions and I feel like I’ve finally found an answer. More than one in fact:

Reason 1 – To be blunt, for almost a year I was hardly doing any work in my previous job, so most of the time there was nothing to do and I had loads of free time to work on my blog and posts. Of course since starting at my new job I don’t get that now, which is great! I honestly love being busy! I can work on blog posts during my break, which I do sometimes… But to be honest with you, I like to just chill out, talk to my colleagues and playΒ Animal Crossing: Pocket CampΒ on my phone.

Reason 2 – Since the start of 2019 I feel like I have a life… This sounds bad… Maybe even borderline rude but hear me out! I’ve worked with Cov BloggersΒ loads this year so far and made some amazing new friends through it, especially Amy (Writing into the Ether) who I meet up with often to go on double dates to play board games, as well as go geeky shopping around Birmingham and Coventry. I also meet up with one of my best friends weekly to go to pole fitness classes together. I love it! I finish work, have dinner and she pops over for a natter before we head to the class. I just love having that time once a week with her to have fun with pole fitness, as well as catch up on things. I’m just having more me time right now, as well as more me and Dane couple time, as well as seeing friends.

Reason 3 – I’m just calming down with going bat shit crazy in regards to blog related matter. I’ve pretty much cooled down because I’m kind of facing fact that blogging won’t really be a job for me… As much as I want it to, it just won’t. I’m at that age where I just can’t be arsed to chase job dreams. I have a great job right now and I love being an admin. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do and to be fair, I’m good at it! Don’t change something that isn’t broken!

So, what does the future hold for There Might Be Coffee?

Nothing any different to before, to be honest.

I’m still the same Nat. I still write the same nonsense as before, it just might be that some weeks I don’t have as many blog posts up as other weeks.

When I originally thought about this post I had made the note that I would stick to writing one post a week and have special posts be up two or three times a week. This being said, apart from this past week, I easily had 2 posts up a week with no real issues… It’s tough to say, “I’m going to have one post up a week!” and then bring you guys the old fashioned two to three and vice versa.

I may just stick to one post a week for now but always try to aim for two. I guess it depends how busy I am. For example this week I was stupid busy, which is why I only had one post up this week. Monday was the only day in the week that I could write. Tuesday I played D&D, Wednesday I was with my mom, Thursday I went to pole fitness and Friday I wanted a fucking rest. As for the weekend I wanted a mixture of rest and me time. Yesterday I had a long lie in, one I haven’t had for that long since I was in my early twenties. Just goes to show how shattered I was! For the rest of the day I mostly played games and did housework. Turning my laptop on didn’t even occur to me and I’m glad to be honest. This morning I have so far played games, watching some Nintendo E3 2019 footage and then got down to working.

I’m sure I don’t have to remind my readers but this ISN’T my job. It’s my hobby, granted my number one hobby but nonetheless, still a hobby. This hobby has helped me find people with similar interests as myself who I have befriended along the way. It’s also helped me work with amazing companies and gain more confidence and I love it for that and more. I never regret starting my blog and I’m not at a point in my life where I want to stop it altogether either. It’s my baby. πŸ™‚

I wanted to mention what I want to do for the remainder of the year with my blog, including some TLC and even some exciting blog series coming up! I’d also love to revamp my blog at some point, but I don’t know when that will be. I’d love to try and have my own domain, as well as get a layout for my blog that will make me scream, “KAWAII!” every time I go onto it. Again… We’ll see.

As for exciting things coming up, as I wrote last month I’m now working with YY Kawaii as a brand affiliate, which I’m so over the moon about!

I also plan to try and grab you guys some awesome discount codes for a couple of brands I hope to work with on future blog posts. I’m just so excited to start working with brands I know and love! I already have an awesome discount code lined up with a brand who sells D&D products, so keep eyes peeled for that in the future. πŸ™‚

Outside of blog related stuff life is pretty nice right now. I’m enjoyed my new job, I’m opening up to more things I love too, thanks to the amazing people around me (thanks Dane and Amy for getting me into boards games even more and especially D&D!). Speaking of D&D I’ll soon have a new series on my blog dedicated to this where I talk about what made me want to play it and why, how I build my character and about my character, where I buy dice and accessories from, etc.

The best bit of news though is the fact me and Dane are FINALLY going to Japan after 6 years of talking and dreaming about it! I don’t want to talk too much about it on this post as I plan to have a whole new 6 part series on my blog in the run up to our trip to Japan. This will be starting soon so make sure to keep eyes peeled for it.

Exciting, eh?!

Honestly I just want to say a huge thank you to all of my readers, friends, Cov Bloggers and even companies who have and continue to work with me. Honestly I love and appreciate you all so much and I don’t think works can describe how happy you make me feel. You all make me feel like what I do with my blog is worth it every single day and that’s why I love you all so much.

Without you guys, There Might Be Coffee wouldn’t be here. It would still be under my horrible old blog name with posts that weren’t true to myself. With time I’ve become someone I always wanted to be and I love that I can be that person here too.

Please let me know in the comments what you’re excited for on my blog, as well as any posts you would love me to write!

Until next time all, take care andΒ I hope you guys are all having a wonderful weekend so far and aren’t getting soaked by the horrible rain we’re having right now.

UK Games Expo 2019 – Haul

I am very much skint after the UK Games Expo that was on a couple of weekends ago and I don’t know if I want to laugh or cry… So instead I thought I would write a blog post about it! πŸ˜›

This was the first time me and Dane went to the UK Games Expo and we loved it so much! Not going to lie, it’s definitely the busiest con we’ve attended to date and definitely one we’ll talk about for a while for various different reasons. I’ll be mentioning them here too of course.

So come and have a nose at what we bought, as well as read about what we thought of the convention. πŸ™‚

Our initial thoughts on the convention was that it wouldn’t be as big as it actually was for a start and as we walked through the entrance and looked around, we were shocked and a think a tad nervous that we wouldn’t get around everywhere. Spoiler, we did! πŸ˜›

Something we noticed quite heavily as we walked around was just how fucking rude people attending were. If they weren’t shoving past to get to stands and stalls, they were not even using, “please” or “thank you” as and when necessary. It pissed me off something rotten and depending how rude people were, depended how rude I was back. This put me off immensely but this isn’t due to the people hosting the convention.

This being said we will definitely be attending again next year, maybe on the Friday as we heard from quite a few people how this day is the best out of the three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) as well as maybe Saturday so we can get two days in.

We wanted to play some games whilst we were there but due to how much is going on at the convention – we were far too tired for it, which was such a shame as there were loads of games we wanted to have a go at.

As this post shows from the photo, we bought a LOT of stuff, so I thought I would write a haul today so I could show you everything we picked up. I hope you enjoy this haul from us. Prepare for lots of geeky items! πŸ˜›

Also, as some of these (well maybe half actually!) items are Dane’s too, I’ll get him to write here when it comes to anything of his and why he decided to buy it! I’ll pop a “D:” when it comes to his sections so you know he’s talking instead of me. πŸ™‚

The first thing we bought were D&D dice. Hey, you don’t go to a board game convention without buying some dice, am I right?! This was the first stand we really looked at properly as it wasn’t stupidly busy. They had the Chessex dice there and I had a specific pair and style in mind. These weren’t there, but the Borealis style I was after were! They had a couple of pairs (a pink and lighter blue pair) but I fell in love with these light green set and decided to pick them up!

Dane also bought himself a pair of dice too and opted for these blue and red ones. They’re so damn pretty and he doesn’t have anything like this so it’ll be cool for both him and me to try our new dice out at our D&D session on Sunday.

D: When we were walking around the convention the one stand that really caught my attention was the one for Barpig, a card game about pig adventurers in a bar. Even before I spoke to the people running the stand I was pretty much sold on buying the game anyway. They had a pretty good offer that both myself and my friend couldn’t resist after talking to the people running the stand, as well as being given a quick demo. I was sold and couldn’t walk away without buying the game. The day after the convention me and Nat played this game together only to discover it’s between 3-7 players, which is a shame as we were looking forward to an evening of playing it. This being said, we’re now especially excited to play it with friends!

For the convention they had a special price and goody bag for this game. For Β£19 you got everything in the photo including the game itself! This is what I was sold on the most and didn’t hesitate to pick it up.

They currently have the expansion pack BARPIG: After Hours up on Kickstarter until Monday 1st July. I’ll link it here so you can go and check it if you like the sound of the game.

These were some of my favourite items I picked up from the convention, just because they’re Japanese goodies and from some of my favourite things. I stumbled upon this stand about halfway through the day and spotted some Nendoroid figures, so knew I had to go for a nose. When I spotted two official Studio Ghibli puzzles on the table I KNEW Dane had to come and have a look around the stall too! I quickly snapped up the puzzle from the table and shouted for Dane to come over. As soon as he saw the puzzle he told me to get it, but not before I had a nose around the rest of the stall. It was amazing to be honest with you and was by far my favourite at the convention as they just sold so much stuff I love. I saw they had the Pokemon Centre Eeveelutions bell charms for sale too as a decent price so I decided to pick one up. I ideally want this for an ita bag I plan to put together sooner rather than later. It’s so cute, the perfect bag companion.

I honestly cannot wait for me and Dane to work on the My Neighbour Totoro puzzle together and hang up! I’m feeling like it can go up in our bedroom by my side of the bed. πŸ™‚

Just when we thought we weren’t going to actually pick up more than one game, we found a stall where we fell in love with all the games on sale! We decided to pick up half of them and since then have played the one. The games are both by Jason Anarchy, who was a lovely guy to talk to as we looked through the games, asked questions in regards to them and even had a joke as we were paying and such.

I spotted Pretending To Grownup, a card game about doing adult things and scoring points through it. I spotted it through the artwork, which is by Megan McKay (Doodle For Food). She’s currently one of my favourite doodlers on the internet right now and I especially love her Dogs with Jobs sketches that she draws! Me and Dane have since played this game and it’s so much fun! It would definitely be more fun with friends to be honest with you, but considering just me and Dane played it, it was fab and I honestly can’t wait to play it more!

D: I was after a good party game, so as Nat had a look through the game she wanted I asked Jason what Drinking Quest was all about. He told me it was pretty much Dungeons & Dragons but with lots of drinking involved. This sounded like my sort of game so I knew I had to pick it up. I think I would have regretted it if I didn’t. Whilst I was paying for the games (it was Β£20 each or two for Β£35!) Jason wrote a little message and signed the lid of the game. As you can see he wrote, “It’s dangerous to go alone… Drink this” and drew a little drink as well as signed his name. Very cool! πŸ˜€

D: If there is one board game I really love it is definitely Zombies!!! I can’t remember where I bought this from but Nat has a feeling it was a spontaneous buy from Waterstones years ago. Since then I’ve wanted to buy the expansion packs and have added them to birthday, Christmas and anniversary gift ideas for years. It’s taken me going to the UK Games Expo to finally get at least 2 of them and from the actual creator of the game. He was lovely to chat to and even did us a cheap deal for these. Instead of Β£12 each he did them both for Β£20, bargain eh?! I regret not buying more in all fairness. Me and Nat played this game on our first evening together during our week off and we both forgot how hard this game can be, especially now we have more pieces and zombies to play with! We love this game however and cannot wait to play it with more people.

If there was a stand I really did enjoy shopping at during the convention it was at Oathsworn. I feel like this was the stand I spent the most time at as I was overwhelmed by how many miniatures there were, as well as how cute the little animals were. Everyone was looking at miniatures throughout the day, even though me and Dane struggled to find out D&D characters from one of our campaigns (I’m a Dragonborn bard and he’s a half goliath, half half-elf ranger) and had zero luck.

Instead I decided to pick up an animal miniature for any future campaigns me and Dane might go into or do in the future. NOW we’re working on some new characters for another campaign we’re doing with friends and my character for this will be a fennec fox rogue. I’m so excited to create my character for it already!

One of the stands I was rather excited to by from was TeeTurtle, a brand I’ve wanted t-shirts from for years! I actually have one t-shirt from them which is a Pokemon themed one with a Charmander sat in the a pocket on the chest. I picked this up on eBay years ago and still love it to this day.

We decided to take TeeTurtle up on their buy three t-shirts for Β£75 and get the fourth free. If you work this out you technically get all four t-shirts for less than Β£20 each. This may seem really expensive but TeeTurtle are an American brand and to ship to the UK costs a bomb! So we made sure to stock up at the convention whilst we had the chance. TeeTurtle were at the EGX convention in Birmingham September 2018 and I regret not grabbing any t-shirts there.

We decided to get two each and I regret not picking any t-shirts up earlier in the day. We picked these up a couple of hours before the convention was due to shut and the quantity of all sizes was very much small. Most of the sizes that me and Dane wanted had gone, which was such a shame. But this being said, we managed to grab some sizes in designs we wanted. The two on the left are Dane’s t-shirts and the two on the right are mine… Obviously the foxes are mine! πŸ˜›

Dane was actually going to buy me the Foxy Nerd design last year for Christmas but due to the prices for shipping etc he left it in the end.

The two designs on the bottom are both t-shirts we intend to wear during D&D session and we can’t wait to rock them this weekend! Honestly we could have bought so many t-shirts but due to most sizes being out of stock we didn’t get much choice of what we could buy. I hope to see them at another convention in the future so I can get the chance to pick up more designs.

This is a geeky beauty company that I am so happy to have discovered at the convention. Geeky Clean is a beauty company that sell bath bombs, soaps, bubble bars and more! I walked past the stand during the convention but didn’t think much at first. Dane went for a nose at a stand opposite so I decided to go and have a sniff of the goods at Geeky Clean. I fell in love with the bard scent, which is EXACTLY the same scent as Lush Snow Fairy. It’s a gorgeous bubblegum vanilla scent and I knew I had to pick some goods up with the scent. When I showed the soap to Dane he also really liked, so I made sure to pick it up. These weren’t expensive in my opinion (Β£4.00 or the soap and Β£4.50 for the bath bomb) and I’ll definitely be buying from the store again the future! When I’ve given these a go I will DEFINITELY be reviewing them on my blog.

D: We’ve been eyeing up plenty of miniatures and need a way of painting them. These brushes are pretty fancy and excellent quality feeling. I was going to go for the more expensive ones but as it’s going to be our first time painting miniatures I thought best not to just yet. Just need some paint now! I’m actually rather excited to help Nat bring her fennec fox miniature to life with some colour.

D: I want to start being the Dungeon Master with a couple of our friends that are new to Dungeons and Dragons and been looking to try and find a nice easy way to lay out the map for everyone. I have seen plenty of grid paper, laminated maps, DIY solutions and expensive pre-made maps but these seem like a good option. Hopefully, our group will be able to try them out soon! They cost me Β£30 and are by a company called Role 4 Initiative. I didn’t think Β£30 was a bad price considering the brand is American and it would have cost me a hell of a lot more to import from there.

This is the final item I picked up on the Saturday and it was actually from Collectormania which we were allowed free access to after 1pm due to attended UK Games Expo. I thought this was pretty awesome! Looking back I don’t fully know why I bought these lanyards… I used to use one on my house keys last year so it was easier to get them out of my handbag but after I was made a key holder in my old job I used said lanyard on my work key, only to have someone break it a few days later. I was gutted as it was a Deadpool lanyard. Now I’ve kind of replaced it with either a My Neighbour Totoro or Eeveelutions! I’m sure I’ll find a use for these sooner rather than later. πŸ™‚

We actually went back for an hour on the Sunday just to buy a gaming table from Moby Geek! We actually saw this table on the Saturday and enquired about it and was offered it for Β£230 if we took it away that weekend. We decided against it and said we would order it at home. We fast changed our minds Saturday night/Sunday morning and ended up contacting the company to see if we could attend the event late Sunday to just come in to pay for the table and then take it away. They were more than happy with this and come 4pm I went into the event to pay, get Dane in and take away.

Since then we have not only used the table to play games, but to also eat on! The lid comes off of the table so that you can play games inside of the table – which is amazing. We are yet to give it a go without the lid but we are excited to start being able to have proper game nights with people.

So that was our (very expensive!) haul from the UK Games Expo! We really did enjoy ourselves and had a blast! We were shattered that evening however and couldn’t wait to be back at home and tucked up in bed.

I’m especially excited now to rock our D&D t-shirts to our next session, as well as use our new dice.

Did you attend the UK Games Expo? If so what did you pick up? Are you interested in board games, D&D etc? If so let me know which games you love playing, what your D&D character is like etc in the comments. I’d love to hear all about it!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week so far. πŸ™‚

June Wish List ’19

It’s June! The month of lots of spending due to mine and Dane’s anniversaries! However whilst this year won’t be completely different, it will be all the same. We won’t be spending as much money on one another as we usually do due to the fact we have booked Japan so we’re saving up to spend monies over there!

This means I would like to go on some spending bans as I would much prefer to have monies for when I go to Japan so I don’t feel like I can’t enjoy myself, you know?

Granted spending ban or not, I will always post my monthly wish list posts, as I love doing them so much! I can imagine this month being really hard to do as I can’t think of anything I actually want apart from maybe the odd item or two… We shall see anyway! πŸ˜›

  • Converse x Feng Chen Wang ERX 260 Mid (link)

I really want these high top trainers… Like really badly want them! I think if it wasn’t for booking Japan last week, I’d have probably ordered these by now. I would especially love to have these for Japan though as they look amazing! Maybe I’ll treat myself to them, or even hint to Dane for them as a partial anniversary present… πŸ˜› I’m going to Manchester next week so I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for any stores that MIGHT be selling there – although they do just look to be an online exclusive with Converse…

  • Persona Q2 on Nintendo 3DS (link)

I am beyond excited for this game to come out! Not going to lie, I haven’t actually played Persona Q, the first in this game series. I don’t know if I really need to play that one to enable me to play Q2 but either way I don’t care. The Persona 5 gang are in this game and that in itself is enough for me. From what I’ve seen and read, this is a dungeon crawler based game where you can pick a team from any of the Persona games (3, 4 or 5) and play the game pretty much. This comes out today – which I’m really excited for!

  • Renegade Bubble Tea Board Game (link)

This was a game I discovered at UK Games Expo last weekend and one that I regret not picking up in all fairness with you. I regret not buying this so badly and even regret not sitting down to play the game. We wanted to make sure we looked everywhere before buying things, hence why I didn’t end up getting it in the end. I was shown how it played however and it looks like a great little party game for all ages! As a bubble tea fan this is such a novelty game too and I just feel like it would be a cute game to own. As soon as I can, I’ll be picking up this game to add to mine and Dane’s growing collection.

  • Persona 5 Morgana Pop! Vinyl Figure (link)

I know I’ve mentioned this Pop on my blog before within my monthly wish list, but I’m mentioning it again this month because it’s ACTUALLY meant to be coming out this month! I’ll be shocked if it actually does and will hold my breath until that day comes. I really want this figure though. It’s adorable and I know it’ll be gorgeous to have on my fireplace in the living room, or maybe even my manga bookshelf.

  • Ines Dreamer Shop D20 Pink Choker Necklace (link)

I’ve been after a new choker for a while now, as whilst I do love wearing my fox necklace that my friend Sophie bought me I do like something a little geeky instead sometimes. I love the 90’s tattoo chokers and have done since they came out back in the day. Since getting into D&D I’ve been after a choker style necklace with a D20 on it. I haven’t been able to find one for a while, but FINALLY I found one on Etsy recently and after I’ve written this post, I plan to order it. πŸ˜› There’s one left so why not!

  • Illustrator Jake Eeveelutions Sweater from Kickstarter (link)

This item isn’t actually out to buy and was part of a Kickstarter recently held by Illustrator Jake, who I’ve mentioned on my blog before in a review of their Retsuko pin badge (which I’ll link here). I of course backed it and opted for the Eeveelutions sweater design. I’m actually really excited for the design to come out and be posted to me, especially if it’s this month! Sweater weather in the summer isn’t exactly a done thing here in the UK, but it bloody can be if it’s cool enough. πŸ˜›

So those are my wish list items for this month! In all honesty I spent quite a bit of money at the UK Games Expo over the weekend so I doubt very much I’ll buy much from this list this month.

UPDATE – Also make sure to use my discount code below onΒ Illustrator Jake’s storeΒ to snag yourself a nice 10% discount! πŸ˜€

THEREMIGHTBECOFFEE10

In all honesty I do want to do my spending ban. Every time I go to buy an item I know I could get when in Japan, I’m going to just leave it etc.

What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’ve had a lovely week so far. πŸ™‚
