March Favourites ’20

I can’t believe we are already into April… March went by pretty quickly and it was a mixture of a great and a surreal month. March is not only the month of Animal Crossing: New Horizons coming out, but also the month that we were put into isolation here in the UK due to the coronavirus. Due to that, March has been… Odd. Well, the end of March anyway. I’m currently working from home, so my week is busy with doing my usual job. However, in the evenings and over the weekends, I’m playing Animal Crossing, binging TV Shows and watching stuff on Disney+. It’s amazing to be honest with you, staying in, saving money and doing things I enjoy. OH and online shopping… 😛

This months favourites are a mixture of nothing special and kind of predictable due to the lock down so… Either way, I hope you enjoy! 😀

  • Imperial Leather Cosmic Unicorn Shower Gel.

I actually picked up this shower gel when me and Dane went for a “big” shop just before the lock down happened. I actually bought it for Dane but I’ve ended up using it myself. It’s got a unique scent and I can’t quite put my finger on what it smells like to be honest with you… It smells sweet but with a floral twist to give it an adult sort of smell… If you know what I mean? It lathers really nicely and makes me feel really soft. It was only a £1 too, so very good value for money.

  • The Body Shop Satsuma Hand Cream.

My best friend Gabriella (hey Gab!) bought this for me for Christmas and since being on lock down and working from home, I have been using this load recently. Alongside the strawberry scent from The Body Shop, the satsuma one also reminds me of my childhood, when my mom would buy me the shower gels as a treat. These hand creams are a hit and miss usually with my skin due to my eczema, but at the moment my skin is LOVING it! I especially love the smell of this, which perks me up whilst I’m working from home.

  • Being by Sanctuary Spa Cloudberry & Lychee Blossom Body Lotion.

This was part of a gift set I received at Christmas and it’s definitely something that was good to receive. I love a good gift set that is full of pampering type goodies, especially when they smell good. This scent is fruity, sweet and fresh! My feet have been really dry lately and in need of some major TLC! Seeing as I’m working from home, I’ve been making sure to wear plenty of body lotion on my feet with some socks on, with this body lotion being my choice of cream. This has really helped my feet improve in just a week and I am so grateful.

  • Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream.

This is my saviour right now and I know I only recently mentioned this on one of my favourite posts, but it deserves another mention to be honest. This is a thick butter that has a gorgeous tart lemon scent behind it. I use this all the time during work, so I wasn’t going to change that whilst working from home. The soles of my feet have been on and off dry lately, but using this alongside the body lotion above have really helped! Honestly, I love this stuff so much and as soon as I am coming towards the end of the tin, I will be buying a new one!

  • Original Dettol Liquid.

I know this is a random item for my favourites this month, but hear me out. Recently Estelle (over at Estellosaurus) mentioned on her Twitter about Dettol baths and it made me want one… So, when me and Dane went out for a shop a few weeks back, I made sure to pick one up. I love the smell of Dettol, it’s so clean and fresh and I know I’m going to be left feeling clean afterwards. I pop a cap and a half of this into the bath and it’s perfect! I don’t bother putting any bubble bath, or bath bombs in etc. You don’t need them when you have the liquid.

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – Ugly Betty.

This is a show I loved back in the day when it came out. I never watched season 1, but I began after season 2 came out. I was at university at the time and wanted the job that Betty had (although I don’t think I would now… :P) so this show was perfect for me. I loved fashion, but I was a nerd too so… I could relate to Betty. I was also mocked during my time at college and university and called “Ugly Betty” with someone once explaining why they called me that – “You’re so pretty deep down but you hide it under your ugly clothes, hair, glasses and no make up.” I was pretty insulted to say the least. I loved Betty, I could relate so much after that shit was said to me. Betty is a girl from Queens who joins a big fashion magazine to work as an assistant. There are 4 seasons and plenty of drama along the way. It’s on Amazon Prime right now, so if you fancy some nostalgia, or want to watch something new then make sure to give it a go!

Favourite Movie – Parasite.

I watched this film at the start of March and saying I really loved it is a huge understatement. This film is AMAZING to be honest with you and fresh to the film industry. It’s no surprise that it won so many awards. A family find themselves in the slums, with no money and rarely any work. The sons friend grants them an opportunity to get a decent job and some decent money along with it. I don’t want to say too much, but I would definitely recommend trying to watch it if you can!

Favourite Book – Guys…

Yeah. I didn’t read again this month… I know I said I would but to be honest with everything that has happened this past month and Animal Crossing: New Horizons coming out… I just haven’t had time.

Favourite Song– Doja Cat, Tyga – “Juicy”.

Honestly couldn’t not mention this song this month considering I can’t stop listening to it! I can’t actually remember where I heard it… I have a feeling it was on social media somewhere. The song is literally about the singer having a big bum… Which isn’t a bad thing! I have a big arse so I can relate to this song. FYI, the music video above is raunchy, but whatever. 😛 I just like how she sings about natural beauty, eating whatever she wants and cellulite. I know a lot of women out there will think the song is degrading, but when you naturally have a fat arse and have cellulite, you will relate to this. Plus, it’s a sexy song with a catchy tune! 😛

Me on my island!

Favourite Game – Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

I don’t know if I have enough time to talk about this game on this post, so I may need to have a separate post about it BUT, I LOVE ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS SO DAMN MUCH! I’ve had this almost 2 weeks now and honestly it has been really good for relaxing me, as well as taking my mind off of what is happening in the world right now. My Twitter has blown up and all I see these days now is talk of Animal Crossing, which is AMAZING! Both me and Dane got the game on the day it launched, we picked it up from Smyths and played it pretty much nonstop the day it was out. Since then I have played on and off each day, I’m building up my island, getting new villagers (one at the time of writing this post is Marshal… YAY!) and having fun playing with friends too. 🙂 Would you guys like to see me write a post about Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

So, there are my favourites from March! As I said at the start of the post, March flew by and I can’t believe it’s April already. I am planning to spend this month isolating as much as I can, celebrating Dane’s birthday and eating yummy Easter eggs in a couple of weeks. 😛

How are you all doing? How are you dealing with isolation? What are your favourite things from March? Make sure to tell me in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and stay safe. 🙂

November Favourites 2014

Christmas is just around the corner and as I say every favourites post, I can’t believe how fast the year has gone. To think in less than a months time it’ll be a New Year, Christmas will be over and I’ll be older.

November went by really quickly and it actually took me ages to try and think about what my favourites were throughout the month, as it just flashed by!

Eventually I came up with my ten favourites and here they are.

  • Yankee Candle’s Simply Home Candle in Lemon Cream.

I’ve owned this candle for quite a while, but since having the house to myself the past two weeks, my boyfriend and I have been burning this loads as we love the smell and look how low down it is now! This was really cheap too from a market nearby where I live, only £6 and this is a medium jar, which usually retails for £9, so I did get it at a bargain. I haven’t seen this for sale in-store anywhere since buying it, which sucks as it smells delicious. It reminds me of lemon cake, most of all like the one you can get from Costa Coffee, which just smells lush! It’s a really strong candle too and when I first used to burn this I used to have to keep my window open as it used to give me a headache. I’ll definitely buy this again in the future, as well as one of the Simply Home candles again as they’re a great price and are actually Yankee Candles, but under a different name. They’re worth just as much as the Yankee Candles themselves. Check these out if you haven’t before.

  • The Body Shop Glazed Apple Shower Gel.

I LOVE the Glazed Apple collection from The Body Shop this Christmas and I’ll really be sad to see this go at the end of the month. I love apple scents and this really does smell of fresh apples, but with a sweet scent too. My friend Mali over on her blog (link) reviewed this not long after it came out in October and described it as smelling like Hubba Bubba apple bubblegum and she’s so right! I love using this shower gel in the mornings before I head to university as I smell of it for a while before I leave the house and the fresh but sweet apple scent really does wake you up. It makes lots of lovely bubbles and a little bit of it goes a long way. My boyfriends been using this loads too and he loves it. I’ve also tried the hand cream from this collection and have literally just ordered the bubble bath too. I’m excited to try it out! I recommend picking up the Glazed Apple products as soon as possible as soon enough Christmas will be over and these will be coming off of the shelves too.

  • Angel by Thierry Mugler EDP.

Sadly a few months back I ran out of my Angel and luckily I have a refillable bottle so it doesn’t cost me much to get my star bottle refilled if I want to. So for less than £30 my Dad was lovely enough to go and get it refilled for me and since then I’ve been using Angel once again. This is one of my favourite perfumes and has been since it came out in the early 90’s. My Mom used to wear this loads when I was a kid and because of it, the scent always reminds me of her. I love wearing this throughout the winter season as it’s such a warming scent and it lasts ages too so if I’m busy I don’t have to worry about topping it up every hour or so. If you’re thinking of getting this someone for Christmas, or even yourself definitely pick up the refill bottle! You save so much money in the long run.

  • Dettol Moisturise Aloe Vera & Milk Protein Hand Wash.

The Dettol hand wash is back on my sink and boy have I missed it! I love the Dettol hand washes, they’re sure to clean your hands from bacteria, smell delicious and leave my hands feeling moisturised and lovely. This was on offer in Asda for just 95p, which I thought was great considering the Dettol hand washes are £1-£2 usually. This smells delicious and I can’t even describe the scent, other than fresh and like milk and honey. I’ll definitely be picking this up again as it’s made my hand lovely and soft, and not many hand washes out there does that to my hands.

  • The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector.

I still own this hand cream and I have to just say how lovely it is! Since picking this up on my 24th at the start of the year it has done nothing but keep my hands soft. This is definitely one for autumn and winter as it’s a very thick hand cream that is designed for dry to very dry hands, which I suffer from terribly at this time due to my eczema. However, as of yet I haven’t had any problems (touch wood!) and I have a feeling it’s because of using this hand cream everyday. I got this for £5.00, instead of the full price of £11.00 and whilst it is expensive it really is worth the money! I recommend this and have written a review for it in the past (check that out here) and I will tell people to try this over and over again as it really is amazing and a real skin saver!

  • Bath & Body Works Pocketbac Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel in Graham Cracker Marshmallow.

I love Bath & Body Works, but I hate that they aren’t available in this country, GRR! I usually pick up my Pocketbac’s from eBay and that is where I bought this one from. This hand sanitizer smells of yummy chocolate crackers and it really is delicious. As all Pocketbac’s the scent is really strong and lasts ages. I’m usually asked what perfume I’ve put on whenever I use this as it just smells THAT strong, never a bad thing. As well as that it keeps my hands germ free and clean throughout the day. I love using this in class as my lectures are due to start and it really is a treat to use. I always sniff my hands after use too and it really does smell yummy. If you like the sound of this just go and search for it on eBay, I’m sure you’ll find one on there somewhere.

  • Carmex Lip Balm in Strawberry.

I’ve posted about this lip balm various times on my blog and even written about it in the past (which you can check out here) and once again it is rearing it’s strawberry scented head. I love using the original Carmex but as that is seeing it’s last days I have started to use the Strawberry one more. This smells lightly of Strawberries and you can taste it a little when you put it on the lips, but it isn’t anything major. This lip balm is gorgeous and a little bit of it goes a long way. I love using this alone and under lip products. My lips over the years have been dry and chapped throughout the winter season, but since discovering Carmex last summer my lips since have been lovely and soft… I do use other lip balms by the way! I find this one works nice underneath lip glosses but with lipsticks (depending on the formula) it doesn’t work as well if you don’t blot afterwards… But I often do this anyway. I’m going to try the cherry flavour when this has finished, can’t wait!

  • Rimmel Glitter Bomb Top Coat in Bedazzle.

This was one of my more recent beauty purchases and it’s a gorgeous glitter top coat. I know I don’t need anymore make up products, I know this but who can deny something as lovely as this? This top coat is a dupe of OPI’s Polka.com nail lacquer and I’d wanted that nail polish for nearly two years, so the fact that I have bought a great dupe for over half the price isn’t bad. I need to post a review of these in the next few weeks before Christmas and New Year roll around, but this is such a great top coat to wear alone or over a nail polish colour. It has purple, blue and pink glitter running throughout and is really girly! Perfect for New Years parties and I can see me wearing this loads in December.

  • Vaseline Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera.

Okay I want to start this by saying I don’t use this on my lips, I use it on my eyebrows… Yes I know that sounds weird but hear me out. I have HUGE eyebrows and without a gel or Vaseline to keep them looking neat and tidy they would be an unruly mess! I apply a little of this onto my eyebrows and then use an eyebrow/eyelash comb to smooth them down and make them look tidy and straight. I recommend this if you have thick eyebrows like I do, I wouldn’t wish to use a coloured gel on mine as they’re black so they can’t really become any darker than they are already. Plus Vaseline doesn’t cost much either, which makes my wallet happy.

  • Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Lacquer in Raspberry Rhapsody.

I wrote a review (you can check that out here) about these when they first came out and ever since I’ve loved these and have been meaning to order some more for when I go on holiday in the New Year (which I’ll do after Christmas!) as they’re just such lovely shades. This is definitely one of my favourite shades as it’s a gorgeous purpley pink shade and looks beautiful on the lips, leaving a slight stain as well as keeping them moisturised and feeling great. I often opt for these if I’m not in the mood to wear a lipstick as they’re easy to apply and last ages so I don’t feel the need to reapply them often. If you haven’t tried these yet, get from under that rock you’re clearly hiding underneath and give these a go!

So those were my favourite products throughout November! I can’t believe it’s December already. Speaking of which, what do you all think of my new header? Christmassy huh?

What did you like using in November? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all.

August Empties

DSC_0010

Alright so I know I didn’t do an empties post for July, but that’s because I only had one thing I would have been able to talk about, so it would have been pretty pointless. However throughout August I have been flooded with empty products, so much so that my purple Liberty bag is overflowing with empty products! So finally I bring to you an empties post, I hope it was worth the wait! :’)

DSC_0012

  • Dettol Camomile Comforting Hand Wash with E45.

Like all the other Dettol hand washes I have mentioned before on my blog, I really did enjoy this one. This was a bargain at a £1 and I thought I’d give it a go, as it sounded just as good as the honey one that I use so much. It was lovely to use and I was sad when it came to the end of the bottle. It reminded me of Johnson’s bedtime baby bath with the camomile scent, which lasted ages on my hands. I’d buy this again for sure!

  • Carex Complete Bubble Gum Hand Wash.

This was really fun to use and was an awesome bright blue colour, just like bubblegum! Although this did smell amazing the smell did get a little boring and tacky smelling after a few weeks and I actually couldn’t wait to finish it after a while. I’m unsure if it was this or something else but after a few weeks of use my hands started to be terribly dry, and since this coming to its last use a week ago my hands now aren’t as dry. I would pick this up again, don’t get me wrong but maybe as a treat as whilst it was only a £1, it was a bit too artificial smelling for my liking. I recommend people to try this who have children mind, as it was lovely nonetheless.

  • The Body Shop Hand Cleanse Gel in Strawberry (mentioned here and here).

This is a lovely hand sanitizer and providing if I’m on a budget or not is by far one of my favourites! At work, at home and amongst friends and family I get nothing but compliments on this, how gorgeous it smells, and even people asking if they can nab a blob off me. These don’t break the bank to buy and last ages in my opinion! I like to keep them in my handbag for at work and on the go, as you never know when you may need some.

  • The Body Shop Early-Harvest Raspberry Shower Gel (mentioned here).

I was extremely sad to see the end of this (especially considering that I’m saving money and can’t buy anymore yet) because of the fact that it just smells amazing, plus I think it’s limited edition (I hope not!). I bought this for mine and my boyfriends long weekend in Bristol and it really does remind me of there whenever I smell it. This smells of delicious, ripe raspberries, perfect for summer! This foamed up lovely, left my skin feeling soft and gorgeous as well as smelling amazing too! I will buy this again in the future, as well as for my boyfriend who probably loved it more than I did!

DSC_0014

  • Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel.

I’ve mentioned this product before, if you would like to read more about it look here.

  • Colgate Plax Mouthwash in Soft Mint.

Like all mouthwashes, this did a good job and one I expected it to. Since this has run out I haven’t re-purchased this one, nor have I purchased any in particular. This was nice to use and made my mouth feel nice and fresh whenever I used it.

  • T-Zone Clear Pore Anti-Bacterial Cleanser.

I love this cleanser so much that I re-purchased it well before it ran out and that is what I am currently using. This cleanser doesn’t cost much, less than £2.00 infact and is available from both Home Bargains and Body Care if you would like to pick it up. This smells gorgeous, just like tea tree and really does feel like it works when applied to the skin. I use this everyday and I can safely say that I have fallen in love with it. I used to use the T-Zone range as a teenager and I can say that it still works the same now as it used to back in the day! Try out their products if you fancy trying something new and affordable.

  • Hidden Passion EDP.

This was a find in a pound shop, for obviously a £1. I bought it after one of my closest friends picked it up too as it reminded me of one of my more expensive perfumes. I ended up using this for work and I couldn’t wait to see the back of it! Yes it’s cheap and cheerful but also really crap! I don’t recommend this unless you want something to spritz after the gym, work, for your car, etc.

  • Oral-B 3D White in Brilliance.

I LOVE this toothpaste and I can’t believe this is the first time that I’m mentioning this product on my blog! Since this came out it’s all I use and I think this toothpaste has been out for 2-3 years now, which is a very long time! This toothpaste isn’t cheap but I recently discovered that you can pick this up really cheap in Home Bargains, which I’m really pleased about. I recommend this toothpaste if you want to have clean and pearly white teeth!

So those were my empties for August! Whether or not I have any products to talk about this time next month or not, I’m unsure, we shall wait and see!

What products did you use up throughout August? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope September is going well for you all so far.

June Empties

DSC_0007

I want to get this out there that I thought there would only be three empty products to talk about today, but low and behold when I peered into my purple Liberty bag to take pictures for this post, I came to see that there was actually seven empty products! Talk about using things up!

DSC_0008

There are a few products I have mentioned before in previous empties posts that I don’t wish to go into detail about, so I’ll just link you to the previous posts.

DSC_0009

  • Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel.

I’ve mentioned this product before, if you would like to read more about it look here.

  • Dettol Revitalise Hand Wash.

I mentioned in my May favourites last month about this hand wash and boy did I enjoy using it! I haven’t yet re-purchased another  but that’s just because I’ve been busy and haven’t ventured to a BM Bargains yet! Either way for 99p I know I’ll be buying another one soon enough! I worried this would dry my hands out but it didn’t at all, so if you’re like me and worry that this may dry out your skin, then don’t! The Dettol hand washes are amazing and to be honest I don’t worry about having any germs on my hands are using this.

  • The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator.

I LOVE this exfoliator and when the bottle would no longer produce anymore of the scrub from its tube I was rather sad as I really do enjoy using this scrub. It would leave my face feeling squeaky clean, as well as smooth and fresh. I used to use it twice a week, mid-week and at the end of the week. I bought this back in November last year and it really has lasted me a long time, which I’m happy with! It’s a scrub that when in contact with water foams up, which I like as it makes a change to a scrub that just stays like a grit on the skin, with a bit of oil inside of it too. Due to this scrub foaming up, it feels like it actually cleans the skin, as well as exfoliating it. This was a top 10 favourite of mine for 2013, and you can read all about it here, as well as here from when I purchased it.

  • I Love… Cosmetics Banana Split Bubble Bath & Shower Creme.

I haven’t enjoyed using a shower creme so much for quite a while and when I finished this off on Monday morning, I was rather sad once again as I love this shower creme and as soon as I can, I’m buying more! I picked this up for a £1 in Primark before going to Bristol as I was intending to have it for my long weekend, but I decided against it and ended up buying something else instead (The Body Shop’s Raspberry shower gel). This smells exactly like the foam banana sweets you would buy from the pick and mix as a kid, those alongside pink foam shrimps and white mice were my favourites. I really do like the I Love… Cosmetics products, especially the shower cremes as they smell so damn good and leave your skin feeling soft and smelling good.

DSC_0010

  • T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel.

This is the first time this has appeared on one of my empties posts, however I have already got through three, maybe even four of these prior to this one but I’ve always ended up throwing them away instead of mentioning them in a post on my blog. However it has been mentioned on a favourites post from back in February, which you can read about here. This spot zapping gel is amazing and really does help to calm my spots redness down, as well as prevent them if I’m breaking out really badly when that time of the month arrives. These cost less than a £1 each in Home Bargains and really are worth every penny! I stock up on these when I go in there as I just get through these really quickly.

  • Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack Turbo-Boost Hydra Gel.

I have one thing to say about this eye gel, a waste of money. It isn’t a bad product to use on the eyes, but its claims of stopping your eyes being puffy is a load of rubbish. It helped my eyes feel cool in the mornings one day and then it would irritate them another so I’m actually glad to see this product finished and in the bin. I wouldn’t buy it again because it was a waste of money at nearly £10 for this tiny little jar, but if I was given it for free I would gladly use it! I’ve replaced it with an old favourite, which I’m already enjoying using. I wrote about this back in October last year in a favourites post, which you can read here and a haul post here.

  • Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo.

This was a sample given to me over the weekend when I went shopping with my friend Poppy in Milton Keynes. I’d been dying to try out this shampoo for ages but felt a tad apprehensive for reasons such as “will it dry my hair out?” or “will it make it frizzy?” as my hair can go really frizzy and hard to handle if I use a shampoo on it that it doesn’t like. However when I tried this sample out on Sunday I was pleasantly surprised! My hair felt and looked really thick and voluminous and as well as that it looked really clean. I’m really happy with how it made my hair look and feel… However it did make my hair harder to brush which was annoying… But either way I love this shampoo and in the future I will be buying the full size bottle!

So those were my empties for June! I wonder if I’ll have as many empty products after July… We shall see!

I hope everyone’s weeks are going well, weekend will be upon us soon!

Until next time, take care all.

May Favourites 2014

DSC_0001

Wow I can’t believe we’re already halfway through the year and this weekend I’ll be off to Bristol for mine and my boyfriends first anniversary together. I’m beyond excited!

Also I apologise that this post is all of a day late but I had a rather busy weekend and I sadly didn’t get time to get anything written down, apart from notes on which products would be featured on this post this month.

So let’s get on with it!

DSC_0002

  • Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream.

I wrote about this hand cream a while ago on this post and since then I won’t lie, I hardly used it. It sat in my room being unused for months on end until recently I decided that I would keep it in my hand bag to use on the go and boy am I glad I did just that! This hand cream has the Soap & Glory pink scent to it, which is one I can tolerate in the body spray but not in their body products. This however isn’t so bad and has a lovely conditioning feel to it, I love to use it before I leave the house for work as well as when I’m out on the go as it absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy or sticky feeling so it won’t leave your hands feeling clammy. I recommend this if you want a good hand cream for your bag, this being said I probably won’t repurchase this just because I want to try something new when this is finished.

  • Dettol Revitalise Hand Wash.

This was a random purchase during May and one I’m glad that I made! As regular readers will know I love my Dettol E45 hand wash and have always said I will never replace it, however I don’t think this counts as a “replacement” due to the fact it’s by Dettol too, it just doesn’t contain any E45. It only cost 99p from B&M and for that it really does keep my hands soft and smooth, as well as clean and smelling like pomegranate. Can’t go wrong really!

  • Phillip Kingsley Flaky/Itchy Scalp Shampoo.

I love Phillip Kingsley’s shampoos and you can’t really go wrong with his products as they suit all hair types and do exactly what they say on the bottle. This one is the flaky/itchy scalp shampoo and whilst I don’t suffer from dandruff as much as I used to when I was younger, I do suffer from my hair getting greasy every few days so I like to try and tackle that with a good shampoo. This shampoo is amazing for that and since I started to use it my dandruff has pretty much disappeared and my hair feels soft and looks beautiful all day long after use. Not only does it leave my hair feeling and look good but it also leaves it smelling delicious as it has an apple scent to it! I love this shampoo so much and this huge bottle should last me ages too.

DSC_0003

  • Lady Million by Paco Rabbane.

A while ago over on a guest post I wrote for my friend Amy over at Von Dork I announced how I hated the smell of this perfume… I’ve kind of taken that back now as I’ve been using this perfume none stop for the duration May. Yes this does smell of fresh towels and clean bed sheets but that’s actually pretty nice, especially if you’re feeling a little down in the dumps and need a reminder of your nice warm bed. This was actually my Mom’s perfume but she wasn’t getting on with its scent and ended up giving it to me to try out. My boyfriend loves this perfume and when I say to him, “Hey help me pick out a perfume to wear.” he’ll usually pick this one. If I’m not feeling too well I won’t wear this as the powerful scent can give me a headache and a bit of an irritated throat, other than that I love it and it’s become my favourite perfume to throw in my bad so far this summer.

  • Sure Maximum Protection Deodorant in Sensitive.

I’ve spoken time and time again of how much I love this deodorant but there is one reason why this is being featured on here this month, besides the fact that I love it anyway. As regular readers or even new readers will know I went to the Lake District with some friends during May and it was amazing! I also mentioned how we all climbed up a very tall mountain whilst we were there and without my deodorant I would have sweated loads, as well as being smelly and shown sweat patches on my t-shirt. Luckily this didn’t happen and if that isn’t some sort of marketing ploy then I don’t know what is! I love this deodorant and I wouldn’t go a day without using it.

  • Maggie James Candle.

I have to first add that I don’t actually know the scent of this candle but when I’m sniffing it it does remind me of a latte, a caramel or a vanilla one, a sweet coffee anyway! I bought this from TK Maxx about a year ago and since then I’ve not burnt it all that much, due to neglecting it for my Yankee Candles. However whilst I had the house to myself I’ve been able to burn it, as well as the fact I decided it needed to start being used. It leaves a lovely strong scent behind, which doesn’t fade straight away after blowing it out either, which is always good. Although this is a strong candle it doesn’t leave you a headache or a dry throat, which is always good in my books! Apparently Maggie James do a lot of different scented candles, but where I do not know! I paid £3.99 for mine.

  • Bath & Body Works PocketBac Hand Sanitizer in I Love S’Mores.

I love my PocketBac’s and I always make sure there is one by my bed, as well as in my hand bag for when I’m on the go and at the moment the one I seem to be reaching for the most is my favourite, I Love S’Mores. It’s such a yummy cake scent to it but not as strong as the cakey PocketBac scents, if that makes any sense! Sadly this was a limited edition one for autumn last year and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to find a replacement bottle of it on eBay somewhere, which is where I got this bottle from. As well as keeping my hands smelling gorgeous is leaves them lovely and clean, leaving me less worry about germs so I can concentrate more on how good my hand smell!

  • Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lip Balm.

An old favourite and one that’s come back around again for yet another favourites post. My lips have been  pretty dry this month and I don’t know if that is due to being poorly, using too many satin lipsticks on my lips or just the dramatic weather changes. I know there is only one lip balm that can save the day when my lips get really dry and sore and that’s this baby! It’s a thick formula that applies like butter and feels super moisturisng as well as smelling and tasting of chocolate. I had a cold sore at one point in May and this did really help soothe it and calm it down too. I’ve actually missed using it and since beginning to use it again I’ve been making a habit of using it for work.

  • L’Oreal Paris Glam Shine Stain Splash in Milady.

This was a new purchase I made mid May and since buying it I have done nothing but wear it out, both day and night! It’s a gorgeous purple lip stain that can be applied light or heavy to get the type of purple you desire. It lasts ages on the lips so I’ve been able to wear this for work and not have to worry about applying anymore, same can be said about nights out and when I’ve been out in the day time with my boyfriend and friends. I’m going to be writing a huge review on this soon, I have the images ready and everything, I just need to get some better pictures of myself wearing it. If you’re after an affordable and gorgeous lip stain then try out one of these by L’Oreal as they’re really worth the money.

  • The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.

I literally finished reading this book today and it has been one of my favourite reads for quite a while now. The film version of the book is one of my favourites and it always makes me cry when I watch it so I KNEW I had to buy the book to read and for £3.99 I knew I wasn’t exactly spending  fortune on it. I’m so glad I bought this as it was such an enjoyable read. I’ll be writing a full blog post about it because I just loved it so much. If you’ve watched the film version then I recommend you read the book as you’ll love it and if you’ve read the book but not watched the film because you’re worried you won’t like it, then I suggest you give it a go as the film is pretty great! Stephen Chbosky who wrote the book also directed the movie, so the film is pretty much how he pictured it to be. Definitely a good way to end May, such a lovely book!

So those were my favourites for May! I hope that June will be full of lovely summery things so when July comes along I hope to have lots and lots of lovely summery things to talk about with you all, if not a few new bits and pieces.

What were your favourites during May? Let me know in the comments!

So until next time take care all and see you soon!

February Empties

DSC_00050

Okay, I am well aware of how late this post is (nearly 2 weeks to be exact!) and I apologise for that. I did mentioned on this post here as to why I’ve been so quiet this month so far, although I am trying to change that now.

So I’ve finally sat down at my laptop away from the distractions of my iPad and my new Nintendo 2DS to get this post, as well as another written up.

Let’s FINALLY get on with this post!

DSC_00060

  • Sainsbury’s Fresh Mint Mouthwash.

This was a quick and cheap purchase I made one evening a month or so ago when I popped into Sainsbury’s after work and it was definitely just a one-off purchase. This wasn’t a bad mouthwash, it certainly did the job but it was just a tad too alcoholic for my mouth as it would burn is used alone, so I’d end up mixing it with water. It didn’t cost much, probably no more than £1 and it certainly did the job as it left my breath fresh and my teeth felt clean and lovely. I might buy this again in future if I’m need for something cheap and cheerful, but otherwise it’s a no from me.

  • Dettol Honey Nourishing Hand Wash with E45.

I’ve mentioned this on various posts before, if you wish to read about it, go search for it above. 🙂

  • Mandara Spa Moisturising Bath Essence in Amber Heaven.

This bath essence is beautiful and I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before in the past! It has a lovely warm scent to it, due to the amber inside of it and when it’s put into the bath under running water it creates lovely smelling bubbles really quickly. By the time my bath is fully run, it’s also filled with soft bubbles! I don’t know how much this cost as my Mom bought it me about a year ago after a trip to Sainsbury’s, but I know from checking out the Mandara Spa products before they aren’t exactly cheap! This being said, I was using this bath essence once a week as both a bubble bath, as well as a shower gel. My Mom bless her saw that I had run out and bought me another one, as she knows how much I love it. Even if she hadn’t of bought me this again herself, I would have picked it up again as it’s a lovely product, smells delicious and leaves my skin feeling and smelling lovely.

DSC_0007

  • The Body Shop Seaweed Day Cream.

I bought this day cream back in November when I purchased one of the Seaweed sets from The Body Shop. Although this is a good face cream, I wouldn’t buy it again. When I went into The Body Shop and got my skin type tested and such, I came out as Seaweed, although since then I don’t think I am this at all, my reason for this is due to the fact this face cream at times was actually stinging my skin. Not good! This didn’t happen all the time, once a week maximum but it still bothered me and eventually I couldn’t wait to see the back of this product! Overall I’m  pleased with how this DID help my skin as well as how long this tub lasted me was great. I have really liked trying out the set I bought from The Body Shop and soon enough when some of my other products run out I’ll be buying myself another set to try. I would buy this again as it was good for the majority, but for now I’d like to try something that may work better with my skin such as aloe vera or tea tree.

  • Gillette Satin Care Sensitive Shave Gel with Olay.

I LOVE this shave gel so much and it’s all I’ll use to shave with now, and I recommend it to every lady out there who shaves! I’ve written about this many times before, so go and search for it above if you wish to know more.

  • Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud Face Mask.

I love this mud mask, it really does help when I’m about to, or just after I’ve broken out as it helps to calm down any spots that are about to come up as it prevents redness. As well as that it helps to dry up any current spots. For less than a £1 it’s a great mask to use once or twice a month and at the time of writing up this post, I think I’m going to pop one of these on after I’ve finished writing this up, as I’m a bit spotty at the moment and it’s driving me mad! xD

So those were my empties from February! I apologise again for it being late, but I did explain on a previous post which is linked above as to why I’ve been so quiet lately.

Here’s to keeping busy and live with my blog again!

Until next time, take care all, it’s good to be back. 🙂

January Empties

DSC_0007

Another month, another bag of empty products to show off to you and I have to add, this months empties and the first empties of 2014 are boring! So this post isn’t going to be very long at all… Sadly.

I’m sure they’ll be more interesting as the months fly by, but for January, it’s boring. Sorry in advance!

DSC_0008

  • Dettol Honey Nourishing Hand Wash with E45.

These will be featuring a lot in my empties videos in future and there should be another one of these in the photo, but I only used up another bottle after the 1st February. I love this hand wash, so much so I spend nearly £5.00 a month just to use it, but I’ve started to buy it in bulk just so I have one spare in the cupboard incase. As I’ve mentioned on previous favourites and empties posts, this is the only hand wash that leaves my hands lovely and soft, as well as smelling great and being clean! I recommend this hand wash to everyone and they come in various different ones, not just honey! Due to this keep being in my empties posts, I don’t think I will mention this again in future, although I will show it in my pictures. What’s the point in keep mentioning this! xD

  • Asda Essentials Sensitive Shave Gel for men.

Yes this is for men! But I couldn’t afford the Gillette shave gel at the time and whilst I was buying some food I picked this up for less than £2.00. It was horrible and quite frankly I’m glad it’s finished! It caused me to have rashes on my legs and under my arms which wasn’t any nice and I ended up giving my boyfriend the last of this to use up to shave his ginger stubble off with. I’m glad to see the back of this and won’t be buying it again, unless my boyfriend is in need of a cheap shave gel!

  • T-Zone Spot Zapping Stick.

I actually wrote a negative review on these a couple of years ago now as for a while I was getting terrible spots after using this, but I think that was down to a face wash, or product I was using at the time. However since then I have been using this again and not had any problems! The only problem I have now is that I don’t think you can buy this anymore and instead I’ve bought a gel version of this. This is a liquid which is a roller ball and you roll it onto the skin however you do so wish. This won’t break the bank to buy and I think depending where you buy it it’ll be £1.00-£2.00. You can pick these up pretty cheap in Home Bargains and Body Care. These are great for on the go as all you have to do is roll the product on where you want it to go and voila, you’re done! This is a great product and I feel rather bad writing a negative review but I guess things change.

DSC_0009

  • Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser Skin Conditioner in Dry Skin.

I have two of these here that are both samples I received back before Christmas and I thought I would start to use them up. I have owned the full size version of this product in the past and at first I loved it, but after I while I grew to think it was just easier, as well as nicer to just stop being lazy and apply a body lotion after having a bath or shower. I think this stuff smells vile and since being reminded about that, I’ve realised that I don’t like this product at all and will probably give away the rest of the samples I have to friends, family, etc. I prefer to use a dry skin lotion that I used to use to wash my hands with, it does just as good a job and doesn’t have a horrible smell to it.

  • Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Face Spa Fabric Face Mask.

I love this mask and I will keep saying it every time it pops up in my empties! This is one of the quicker and easier face masks to use out of all the Montagne Jeunesse masks. You pop this on your face and sit back with a good book for 5-10 minutes, or like me until I reach a new chapter! This masks contains dead sea salt and seaweed which is great for combination skin like mine and also leaves your skin feeling clean, soft and refreshed! I love this mask and will keep buying it as long as it’s available to buy in shops.

  • Montagne Jeunesse Strawberry & Cream Face Mask.

I HATED this mask! It caused me to break out and have terrible rashes all over my face and I just wish I hadn’t used this. The smell of this was beautiful though and the only positive side of this mask… Alongside the fact that it didn’t break the bank to buy this. It didn’t do anything good for my skin and quite frankly it wasn’t worth the money at all. BLAH what a load of bloody rubbish!

  • Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Mask Face Mask.

However I do LOVE this mask and it’s one of the few I can use and my skin will be beautiful after use. It leaves my skin feeling and looking lovely and soft, as well as fresh and gorgeous looking. It also smells amazing, just like hot chocolate! It contains chocolate and shea butter so this does nothing but positives to my skin, as it just adores shea butter. I always say nothing but good things about this mask and I think in future I will just be picking this one up, alongside the sheet masks as these seem to be the only masks that don’t break me out or cause rashes.

So those were my empties from January! I told you it wouldn’t be anything special, didn’t I? Sorry about that!

What were your empty products this month? Do you like or hate any of the ones I mentioned above? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all!

December Empties

DSC_0286

The final empties post of 2013 is upon us and I’ve never had so many products used up before as I have done during December! I forgot I’d even used certain things up when I was looking through the bag to take pictures! I’m glad I’ve used quite a bit up, as it’s meant more room for new things that I received over Christmas.

So without further ado, let’s get on with this post!

DSC_0287

  • Head & Shoulders Anti-Dandruff Shampoo in Citrus Fresh.

For 2014 I have decided to stop using Head & Shoulders and since I stopped using it during December, my hair has improved dramatically and I’m not wasting nearly £5 every two to three months buying the shampoo. My Dad and boyfriend still use it mind, so that’s fine with me. Even though I usually used the Sensitive one, I picked up the Citrus Fresh months ago to try out and it was really nice! It left my hair smelling fresh and like lemons and it obviously did a good job of cleaning my hair too. I don’t really miss using Head & Shoulders and I don’t think I’ll ever buy it again, as in reality this stuff is probably one of the worst things you could buy and use on your hair so for 2014 I’m steering clear of this!

  • Possibility Ultra Rich Shower Gel, Shampoo & Bubble Bath in Peppermint Ice Cream.

I rather like the Possibility shower gels, they remind me of a cheaper version of Philosophy and with all the talk going around blogs about Philosophy, Possibility is probably better for your skin too. This shower gel smelt just like mint ice cream, which I love! This is a multipurpose shower gel as you can use it on your hair and in the bath too! I often used this in the bath alongside a Lush bath bomb, I never used it on my hair as I didn’t feel the need to. As much as I loved this shower gel, I am glad to see it finished and in the bin as I just wasn’t enjoying using it as much as I had when I first bought it and to use it seemed more of a chore than a pleasure. I eventually used it up in the bath and that was that. This does leave your skin feeling soft and smelling sweet, but you would of course need to use a moisturiser alongside it. I would buy this again, but when that will be, I don’t know.

  • Sainsbury’s Extra Care Alcohol Free Mouthwash in Sensitive.

I love my mouthwash and I keep trying different ones to try and find a favourite, but as of yet I haven’t seemed to find it, although this mouthwash was really nice for the money! Please excuse the mold at the bottom of the bottom! It’s gross I know. >.< Anyhoo! This mouthwash was lovely because it didn’t feel like it was burning the inside of my mouth when I used it, which is always a bonus for me! My mouth felt squeaky clean whenever I used it and when I popped into Sainsbury’s to pick up another bottle, I was saddened to see that the shelf these were kept on was empty and I was forced to try another one, which wasn’t such a bad thing. I would buy this again, but I need to find it first! 😛

DSC_0288

  • Dettol Honey Nourishing Hand Wash with E45.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hand wash and everything about it! I wrote quite a lot about it in my top 10 favourites from 2013 post yesterday, which you can check out here if you’re interested. I’m already low on  my second bottle of this and have bought a new one, ready for when the current one runs low! I’m so glad that Dettol and E45 teamed up to make this hand wash, it really has been something sent from heaven for my hands.

  • Royal Jelly Foam Bath.

I’m pretty sure this is from a gift set and I’m also pretty sure it was from Boots. One afternoon this suddenly turned up in my bathroom and I can only imagine my Mom put it in there for me to use. It smells really nice and reminds me of the Royal Jelly sets I used to buy my Mom as a child every Christmas, birthday and Mother’s Day. It’s not really something I would buy myself and people would know better than to gift this to me as I’m not the biggest fan of Royal Jelly, but this was really quite nice to use in the bath if I just wanted a quick soak. It left my skin feeling lovely and soft as well as leaving me smelling gorgeous too! I wouldn’t purchase this myself mind, it was a nice treat and that’s all it’ll ever be I think.

  • Palmolive Nourishing Delight with Honey & Moisturising Milk Shower Milk.

I cannot tell you how much I love this shower milk and how many years I have been using it on and off for! I first discovered this shower milk in 2004 when my family and I went on holiday. We took a huge bottle of this stuff with us to use and I fell in love with it! I remember running myself a bath and putting loads in, only to discover it was creating so many bubbles that there were more of those than of water! Since then I’ve purchased a couple of bottles but only during the summer did I pick up this little travel size. I bought loads of them to take with me to my boyfriends for whenever I stayed over, to save using his shower gel. But eventually I just started doing that and this got put in the back of my cupboard, which I delightfully discovered towards the end of December. This shower milk smells just like honey and cream, which is something I love the smell of, it’s also a very thick shower cream and a little really does go a long way! It leaves my skin feeling as soft as a babies bum and smells just as delicious on the skin as it does in the bottle. I was rather delighted to see that the morning I finished this sample tube off, was also the day my Mom bought a huge 750ml version of this and popped it on the bath for me! I haven’t been able to stop using it and it’ll probably end up on my January favourites list at this rate! I recommend everyone to try this, it’s a must have, especially for winter.

DSC_0289

  • Sure Maximum Protection Anti-Perspirant in Sensitive.

I love this deodorant and it’s another favourite that found its way onto my top 10 favourites list for 2013! You can read more about it on this post here but I shall talk a little about it here too. This lasted me quite a long time, probably 6 months or more as you only need a little bit and it goes a long way. Since using this deodorant I don’t have to worry about sweating so much so that means no worrying about sweat patches or about horrible B.O.! This isn’t cheap at over £5.00 but for how long it lasts, it’s well worth the money!

  • Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel.

I love this moisturising gel but sadly it finally came to the end of the tube and I was forced to throw it away, sad times, very sad times! For about two or three years all I used was Clinique but due to lack of funds right now, I can’t afford it and I’ve had to change down to somewhat cheaper brands, which appear to be working well for my skin! I loved this gel because it stopped my skin from feeling dry and not oily at the same time, which was lovely! Sadly this isn’t the cheapest moisturiser in the world and until I have a spare near £30 I won’t be able to buy a replacement tube. I recommend the gel to anyone who suffers from terribly dry skin but also suffers with oily skin too, so a definite must for people with combination skin.

  • Decleor Hydra Floral Light Cream.

At first I loved this moisturiser, but now I actually quite hate it and I’m glad to see it in the bin! My Mom gave this to me after I’d run out of moisturiser and was in desperate need of some more so she suggested I try this one. At first I loved it and it made my skin feel lovely and soft but after a while I grew to dislike using it, mostly for the strange consistency of the cream, which to me doesn’t feel light at all, plus I don’t like the smell of this all that much. Actually I wouldn’t say I hated this, as it did a good job as a moisturiser whilst I was at my boyfriends, but I am rather glad to see this in the bin. It isn’t a bad product, just not one for me!

DSC_0291

  • Lush FUN in Pink.

I LOVE Lush’s FUN products and by the end of this year I want to have tried them all! I currently have a brand new bar of FUN Gold in my Lush box (yes, I have a box full of Lush products) that I dare not use incase I love it so much that by the time it’s finished I’ll need to cry due to wanting more. Okay, that was dramatic but I do love their FUN products because, they’re fun! They’re a multipurpose product which you can use as a shampoo, bubble bar, body wash and as it’s like Play-Doh, you can play with it in the bath, which makes this a great product for kids! Pink FUN smells has the exact same scent as Creamy Candy Bubble Bar and Rock Star Soap, which in turn are two of my favourite products from Lush! It smells like creamy vanilla with sweets and maybe some fruit in there too. It’s just so amazing to smell, it’s made my purple Liberty London bag smell amazing! I’ll be picking this up again from Lush, I’d be stupid not to.

  • Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks in Deep Sea Mud Pac and Chocolate Mud Pie.

I thought I would include these two together on the same point, seeing as they’re both by the same brand, but they both do different things to the skin, etc. The first one I will be talking about is the Deep Sea mask, which I tried for the first time with this sachet. I had always liked the look of it, shamefully due to the fact it was a blue mask, come on, who else isn’t drawn to blue things, huh?! So anyway I thought for 99p I would pick it up to try and I’m really glad I did as this mask was amazing! It smells just like a aftershave and contains seaweed and kelp to leave your skin feeling clean and free from stress. The dead sea minerals in the mask work deep into the pores to penetrate and draw any impurities out of the skin and since using this mask I have noticed the blackheads on my nose look smaller, which is great! I’ll definitely buy this mask again as it really did feel nice to use whilst I was in the bath. Finally we have Chocolate Mud Pie, which is an amazing chocolate face mask! As I mentioned in my top 10 favourites from 2013 (which you can read here) this was one of my favourite products from the year and here I shall explain why! This mask smells just like chocolate and is a very thick mask, which was a nice change. It contains cocoa and shea butter which are great for softening the skin. This left my skin feeling soft and smooth and my pores looked a little smaller too, which was great! For 90p this mask was well worth the money and since buying this one to try I’ve already bought another two, one which I will be using the night before my birthday to ensure my skin looks awesome for when my boyfriend and I go out to celebrate it. I’ve tried the Cupcake Face Mask by Lush and I really don’t rate it. My skin broke out after using it and I was tempted to put in a complaint, but alas I left it and dealt with it. If you have the same issues with Cupcake as I do, then try Montagne Jeunesse’s chocolate face mask, it’s amazing and will leave you face soft and smooth with zero break outs!

So those were my empties from December! There was a lot huh? It’s taken me two hours just to get this post written, but I was getting distracted whilst writing it up! Either way I’m glad I was able to use up so many products during December as it means I have room for all the new ones I received over Christmas.

What products did you use up over December? Let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all!tmbc5

November Favourites

DSC_0416

I’ve said it every month and I’ll say it for the last time for 2013, I can’t believe where the months have gone and how we’ve got to December so quickly.

I guess since May I’ve had lots of fun as they say time goes fast when you’re having fun! This being said I’m somewhat glad to see 2013 soon coming to an end, as I just want 2014 to come along now to create some new resolutions as well as some happy memories, as although this year has brought some amazing people as well as memories into my life, it also had some crappy moments.

This being said, November was a mix and match of stressed and even more stressed, but that was mostly down to NaNoWriMo. Other than that, I managed to find some time to have myself some favourites, so as I do every month, I thought I’d share them with you!

DSC_0417

  • Superdrug Aqueous Cream.

Throughout November I suffered really badly with my eczema to the point it was bringing me a lot of discomfort. My boyfriend is quite knowledgeable about things like this and was able to help and buy me some creams and ointments that would help my eczema alongside my steroid cream from my doctor. One of these was my aqueous cream and this stuff is amazing! From memory it was £2 for this tub and it’s a huge 500ml tub! I use this alongside my steroid cream as well as after I wash my hands and if my hands are feeling a little dry. Plus a little of this goes a long way so this tub will last me ages!

  • Dettol with E45 in Honey Nourishing Hand Wash.

I’d seen this hand wash for sale in Asda for a couple of weeks and this is a fairly new product to come out in the shops during November. I’d been after a hand wash by E45 but they only had cream versions of hand wash, which I already have from my doctor so when they brought this out I was keen to get my hands on it. NOW I KNOW that I have said in the past how all sorts of hand washes have been amazing but this one is just wonderful and perfect. This leaves my hands feeling lovely and soft, smells amazing, as well as protecting them from germs. This is all I look for in a hand wash and I already know I’ll be re-purchasing this. Thank you Dettol and E45 for teaming up to create this product!

  • N Spa Lime Hair & Body Wash.

I swear to God, this stuff is amazing! I spotted this in Asda (Asda again!) and had a sniff of it to see if it was nice, was it nice? Hell yeah! It’s very zesty and refreshing, something that is great all year around, especially in the mornings due to the zesty fragrance, it wakes you up. It’s a gorgeous neon green gel that can be used as a hair and a body wash. Personally I wouldn’t use this on my hair but so far I’ve used this as a shower gel as well as a bubble bath and it’s amazing! It leaves my skin feeling beautiful and soft as well as leaving it smells fresh and gorgeous! This is a definite must before I go to work if I’m feeling a bit glum and tired. I’ve heard there is a scrub to go with this too, which I really want!

DSC_0418

  • La Petite Robe Noire EDP by Guerlain.

This perfume was brought back off of my Mom’s holiday at the start of November. I’d asked if she could pick me up a new perfume over there as it would be cheap and it was either this one or Envy Me by Gucci. This  perfume is amazing and other than Alien and Envy Me this is pretty much all I’ve been wearing throughout November. It’s a very fruity, yet warm smell and it’s gorgeous for the late autumn and winter season. The smell of this actually reminds me of Lush’s Space Girl Bath Bomb! Is that weird? 😛 Either way this perfume lasts ages and as it’s a huge 100ml bottle it’s going to last me a while! I’ll soon be writing up a post about this as it’s just too good to NOT write about!

  • Nails Inc Nail Polish in South Molton Street.

I’ve had this nail polish for a while, well over a year and I really do love it. I have a back up bottle of this ready for when this one runs out and in all honesty it’s my most used nail polish ever, yes, ever! It’s a gorgeous French manicure pink and as it’s only light and a pretty natural shade of pink, I can wear it for work and it’ll make my nails look healthier than they already are. As well as that it just looks nice all the time. I need to really review this polish as even without a top coat this has lasted at work without chipping for nearly a week! That’s good if you ask me, seeing as I do all sorts at work that would probably chip most if not all polishes, with out without a top coat.

DSC_0422

  • Philosophy Lip Shine in Candy Cane.

I’ve owned this lip shine for a while now (review here) and I have used it on and off since then. I used it throughout November alongside my Viva Glam Nicki lipstick by MAC (review here) for work and they both looked beautiful together! As well as that I found that wearing this on its own for work was quiet nice and made a change to just a lip balm or a tinted lip gloss. It moisturises as well as tastes amazing and even plumps your lips due to the menthol that the Candy Cane leaves behind. There’s more about this on my review if you wish to know more. I love this though and I can see me using it loads over December due to Christmas time!

  • MAC Lipstick in Speak Louder.

Oh my God, this was by far one of my favourite things that I bought during November! I’m not going to talk too much about it here as I’m going to writing a review to be scheduled at some point this month, exciting eh? Anyhoo this lipstick is beautiful! It’s a cremesheen so it leaves the lips feeling creamy and moisturised as you wear the lipstick itself. I’ve been wearing this loads, for work, when popping to the shops, as well as when I see my boyfriend over the weekend. It’s amazing and will look great anytime of year. I’m so glad I finally have this lipstick, I can’t wait to review it!

  • Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lip Balm.

This always seems to creep into my favourites when autumn and winter are upon us. My lips don’t get chapped too badly as I just smoother them in lip balm but when they do, this stuff usually saves my lips! This being said my lips are beautiful and soft at the moment and it’s thanks to this for keeping them that way. I have a tube of this at home by my bed as well as one in my handbag for when I’m out and about. As well as using this whenever my lips need some care, I always use this as a base for my MAC lipsticks, so since Speak Louder coming into my life, this has also made more of an appearance too. I love this stuff and the bonus fact that it smells of chocolate just makes me realise how much I love it after spring and summer.

So those were my monthly favourite! Which products did you enjoy during November? Let me know in the comments down below!

I hope everyone had an amazing November and here’s to a festive December!

Until next time take care all and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
