August Favourites ’19

It’s September, my favourite month of the year! I’ve been so excited for this month as each weekend passed throughout August. I don’t exactly have loads planned for this month but I’d like to try and do as much autumnal stuff as possible to be perfectly honest with you.

September also brought some exciting stuff for There Might Be Coffee, with the launch of my monthly newsletter! This went live last night, so please make sure to go and subscribe to get some extra content that you won’t find on my blog or social media pages. πŸ™‚

This month I found myself discovering old favourites, as well as some new ones. I’ve been rather excited to share with you my monthly favourites for August, especially the general favourites too.

Anyhoo, on with the favourites!

  • Diesel Loverdose Eau de Parfum.

This is by far one of my favourite perfumes. It was my friend Jacqui who introduced me to it back in 2011 when it first came out. It has such a unique scent which smells sexy and adult. It was the perfect perfume for when I was 21 and I adored it, as I still do. When I want to smell sexy and like I can do anything, I put this on! I have a feeling this is my third bottle now, but this bottle seems to be lasting ages. Honestly though, I love it. If you haven’t, make sure to go and give it a sniff! I can’t believe it’s been out for almost 10 years. Shit, I’m old!

  • The Body Shop Peppermint Candy Cane Shower Gel.

I’ve owned this shower gel for quite a while now… Since the Christmas sales in fact. I decided I didn’t want to use it until the warmer summer months, as this has a slight tingling effect to the skin, which I really like. I started using this back in June to be honest when me and Dane went to Manchester and I forgot how yummy it smells, as well as how lovely and soft it left me feeling. I honestly wish this scent was permanent as it’s gorgeous. It really does remind me of winter and Christmas, especially as one of my go to hot drinks is a peppermint hot chocolate! I’ve noticed these do pop up during The Body Shop sales, so keep eyes peeled if you’re still interested in this shower gel.

  • MUA Luxe Inked Lip Stain in Sangria.

I don’t know what it is anymore these days, but I’m really not arsed about make up anymore… I wasn’t before to be fair so how I’m not now is a mystery! I love wearing lipstick, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it can feel like too much effort. However lately I have really enjoyed wearing lip tints again and I have especially enjoyed wearing this gorgeous hot pink colour! I only apply it into the centre of my lips so that it gives an ombre and soft appearance. One thing I’m excited about when I go to Japan is picking up some of their lip tints. They’re really good! I’ll definitely be stocking up.

  • The Body Shop Banana Nourishing Body Butter.

As regular readers will know, I don’t use The Body Shop body butters on my skin, but instead my hands. Even though I just keep this in my handbag as something to use whilst on the move, I’ve actually been reaching for it in the morning before I head to work, as well as when I get home. I still love the scent of this and aside from Strawberry, this is by far my favourite scent that The Body Shop have ever released!

  • Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart Electric Toothbrush

This has been one of my favourite big purchases this year. I already know regular readers are thinking, “Nat, don’t you already have an electric toothbrush?” Well… I’ll explain… Back in my April Favourites I mentioned that I was gifted an electric toothbrush from my mom. Well that shitty thing decided to break on me and Dane randomly, not once but TWICE for the short 4 months that we owned it. To be rude and blunt, do NOT buy anything from LAB. They seem like a company who talk the talk, but can’t produce decent products. This isn’t the first time either me or my mom have purchased items from this company and had issues. The toothbrush first of all broke because it wasn’t holding its charge. This went on for a few weeks, then suddenly it was fine! Odd, right? Then (and we don’t know how!) the on/off button got stuck and due to that it was little loads of water into the brush and yeah. Me and my mom sent the brush back and she was given a full refund! Since then when I looked on the website we bought it from (QVC) the toothbrush was no longer for sale and reviews were VERY poor. Crap company, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!

On with the Philips toothbrush anyway! It’s amazing and me and Dane bought it in the official Philips sale too, so we snagged a bargain. This toothbrush has all sorts of different settings, as well as an app you can use alongside it which tracks any teeth you may not be brushing as much as others. If you do miss brushing certain areas of your teeth, the app will take you back to that area and ask you to brush more to ensure your teeth are “clean”. I love this! You can set loads of different things too, such as whitening, plaque fighting and more! It’s an amazing toothbrush and I cannot recommend them enough. OH and it doesn’t lose much charge either. πŸ˜›

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – Kathy Burke’s All Woman.

I swear, I LOVED this show. I haven’t laughed so much at a show in quite some time (not including comedies!) and it made me realise just how much I miss Kathy Burke in the comedy world. In this 3 part series on Channel 4, Kathy Burke is talking about women (if you hadn’t guessed from the title) and herself as a woman. She covers topics such as having babies, marriage, relationships and beauty. It’s so insightful in ways and I found myself shouting, “YES KATHY!” at my TV throughout. She covers things that I have spoken about on my blog in the past, including my thoughts on having children and getting married. Man or woman, give this show a watch. Kathy is amazing throughout and I honestly want her to do more shows like this in the future.

Favourite Movie – Wreck-It Ralph and Ralph Breaks The Internet.

I know these seem like random movies to add to this post this month, considering they’re from 2012 and 2018. I didn’t watch either of them in the cinema and it was only recently at a friends house that we put a movie on to watch in the morning/afternoon with the kids. I’d never seen Wreck-It Ralph so it seemed something good to put on. I think I was acting more like a kid than the actual children were haha! I was poorly recently and had to stay at home from work, so decided to watch Ralph Breaks The Internet whilst I was in bed. These films are amazing and I understand why and how they did so well when they released. Something my friend commented on however that I agree with is that the films HARDLY focus on Ralph at all… Either way I feel these films were definitely made for adults in mind more so than children for the nostalgic feel alone. I can’t speak for America but I feel these days the only places I see and/or hear of having arcades is Japan… But again. I can’t speak for elsewhere other than the UK.

Favourite Book – Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Life.

I’ve finally started to get back into reading manga again and it’s making me so damn happy! I love being able to just sit and chill with a couple of volumes of my favourite manga series during the week. When I was poorly recently and I was in bed resting I read some manga and caught up on loads of the Kanna’s Daily Life series. I love this spin off series fromΒ Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid as it’s so damn cute and you get to find out more about Kanna along the way too! There is also Elma’s Office Lady Diary, which is of course about Elma, who in turn is my favourite out of the dragons! πŸ˜€

Favourite Music – PVRIS – All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell.

If there is an album I LOVE right now it is this one by PVRIS. I only discovered this band in April thanks to KERRANG! Radio and they have fast become one of my favourite bands now. I listen to this album daily in the week, as I always feel the need to give it a listen during my shift at work, either at the start of end of the day. Depends on my mood. I love every single song on this album but my favourite is definitely “Winter”. I could name more songs but I thought I would just mention the one I listen to and love the most. πŸ™‚ PVRIS recently announced 3 dates for a UK tour and they sold out in minutes. I doubt I could have made any of the dates anyway, but I’m gutted all the same. I really wanted to go see them live. 😦

Favourite Game – Minecraft.

I can’t remember why or how but me, Dane and some of our friends randomly decided one day to set up a server so we could play Minecraft all together and we played it so damn much throughout August! I do love Minecraft and definitely go through phases of playing it, depending how busy I am or if I’m playing other games. Sometimes it’s great to come home after work and just want to chill on the sofa in front of Minecraft with a beer and some friends on chat. You can now get foxes on Minecraft too, but I don’t know ifΒ weΒ can on the version we have on Xbox One. 😦

So, those were my favourites from August! August did really fly by to be fair, which I’m glad about, purely because I love September so much. I hope to bring some exciting autumnal posts your way this month.

What were your favourite things in August? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

October Favourites ’18

At the time of writing this blog post I am in the middle of packing for a little weekend to London (which I mentioned a couple of weeks back here) to see my friend Sophi, as well as go around London for some shopping and coffee and bubble tea dates. πŸ˜›

I can’t believe how quickly this month has gone though, but at the same time I feel like it’s really dragged… Maybe it’s due to autumn setting in with darker nights and such like that. Meh, it’s November and with that it is almost Christmas too. Damn.

This months wish list wasn’t too bad to write to be fair, I sometimes worry I struggle to try and think of beauty and lifestyle things each month that I’ve loved.

So, enough of me rambling, on with the favourites!

  • Carex Unicorn Magic Shower and Bath.

I have been loving this bubble bath throughout the month. It’s definitely bath season again and I have been loving having a good soak on my weekends off work, especially Sunday’s! This unicorn magic range by Carex is amazing and I have honestly been loving it and for just a Β£1 for each item, it’s such a bargain. I picked the hand wash and shower and bath up from Savers for that price, but I’m sure you can find them in Poundland and such for the same money too.

  • Lime Crime Plushies in Cherry Soda (review).

I recently reviewed the two Lime Crime Plushies that I own and I love them both SO MUCH! They’re definitely my go to lipstick at the moment as I love how they feel, as well as how long they last. I couldn’t get along with Cherry Soda at first, which really disappointed me as this was the shade I really wanted the most from this collection. Finally, I have started to get along with it and I’m so damn happy! It’s a gorgeous cherry red colour and it’s just beautiful. I especially love how these colours give a sort of blotted effect to the lips.

  • The Body Shop Strawberry Softening Body Butter.

I’m really loving The Body Shop lately and I do not apologise for featuring at least one product every month lately for the past God knows how many months! πŸ˜› This month I have been LOVING the strawberry body butter, which I’ve been using on my hands at work and on the go. I know it’s a body butter, but I just don’t get along with The Body Shop hand creams that much. They’re just not “strong” enough for my eczema. I got this free in a gift set due to spending a certain amount in The Body Shop and I do love it. It’ll definitely be something I’ll pick up in future to use for my hands. Of course I can only imagine this is amazing for the body too!

  • Newtons Labs T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel.

This has been a GOD SEND to me lately! I don’t know why but my face just broke out in zits for what felt like a month, which was horrible. I always get zits around time of the month and that’s normal to me. It’s a sign of (sadly) what is to come and I am used to that. A whole month of them though? IT SUCKED! They were all on the left side of my face, as well as my jaw line which I found so odd. It might be where I rest my head on my hand at work or something, I don’t know. I just pop a little bit of this one before my moisturiser in the mornings and as and when I need it. It’s only 99p from places like Body Care and Savers and it lasts AGES! Definitely worth picking one up if you still get the odd zit on and off. Honestly kids, I’m nearly 30 and I still get zits! πŸ˜›

  • Dior Addict Eau de Parfum.

This is one of my favourite perfumes and I always graviate to it when the colder weather comes. It’s such a gorgeous and unique scent and one I really love. My mom bought this for me when I was 25 and thankfully it hasn’t gone off! She bought it me for my birthday when we went to Fuerteventura together for our birthday’s. I don’t know how to describe the scent to be honest with you, it’s strong and bold and it’s something that definitely stands out. It’s floral but to me it smells kind of sweet as well. It’s definitely a mature perfume and I’d be surprise if anyone 21 and under wore it! Dane loves this too, so I like when I’m wearing it and he comments. πŸ™‚

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – Big Mouth Season 2.

I remember me and Dane watching Big Mouth when it first came out and we was in Fuerteventura at the time. It was hilarious and definitely something different at the time. It recently came back for a second season and it’s just as funny as the first! I especially love that in one of the episodes they had a sexual education approach to it, it worked so well and they did such an amazing job. I think shows like this need to definitely be shown in schools, swearing or not it gets the message across (in a very funny way) about puberty and basically the flaws of being a teenager. I really hope this gets another season next year!

Favourite Film – Sierra Burgess Is A Big Loser.

I remember seeing the trailer for this on Instagram and I KNEW I had to watch it! It reminded me of a book I would have read growing up. I didn’t realise it was a film until me and Dane put it on. Netflix usually shouts TV series to me so that’s what I expected this to be. Alas it’s a film and one I rather liked. I wouldn’t say loved, but I’ll touch on that. It’s a good film, especially being set now but at the same it’s so bloody cringe it’s crazy. I definitely recommend watching it, as it was a good watch but I don’t feel like I need to watch it again. I do wonder if it would have worked better as a TV series… But do we have too many teen drama series on Netflix right now? Nah not really. πŸ˜› Let’s put it this way, this isn’t like My Mad Fat Diary, that show is amazing. πŸ˜›

Favourite Book – Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Life.

I recently bought volume 3 of this manga and like all the others, I LOVED it! The art style of the manga is always amazing and for a spin off series I actually find it’s better than the original! Kanna has been a massive hit with all sorts of people and when you read the manga and watch the anime you can really see why. She’s adorable and I certainly fell in love with her, so it’s no wonder that they created a manga series based on her! They’ve now released pre orders in the UK for a manga series based off of Elma, who is my favourite dragon out of the bunch! She just reminds me of me with her love of food and the fact she works in an office, haha. If you love Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid the manga or the anime (or both), then you need to read Kanna’s Daily Life!

Favourite Podcast – My Dad Wrote A Porno.

Okay I know this isn’t music, but it’ll do! I discovered this podcast randomly online and I just had to listen as it’s bloody hilarious! This guys dad has written a porno and with the help of his two friends is reading it for us all to hear! I started listening to it towards the start of October and it’s hilarious. I didn’t actually think I’d still be listening to it now! I’m currently on series 2 and book 2! If you fancy a giggle on your way to and from work, then give this a listen. It’s pretty cringe but fuck it’s hilarious! Obviously if you don’t like listening to sexual sort of stuff, meh you won’t want to listen to this. I have an iPhone and if you search in the podcast app, you’ll soon find this to listen to!

Favourite Game – LEGO DC Super-Villains.

I was going to actually mention Kingdom Hearts this month but to be honest with you that game has made me rage quit various times, it hasn’t been a favourite… Although I have enjoyed playing it! This game came out just over 2 weeks ago but me and Dane have played it together almost daily! I’m so glad he’s wanted to play this with me so much, as I worried he’d get bored with it after a few days. I do love playing the LEGO games and I’ve mentioned my excitement for this game quite a lot on my blog lately (which you can read about here). It plays really well to be honest and it’s definitely up there as one of my favourite LEGO games to date! The detail in the customisation is incredible and so in depth. Both me and Dane have made out super-villains and at the time of writing this post, the story has BLOWN UP and some serious tea has been spilt. πŸ˜›

SO those are my favourites from October! I still can’t believe it’s November now! This year has seriously flown by and it’s crazy. Next month I’ll have been in my job a year, Christmas will be around the corner and soon enough after that I’ll be turning 29. Urgh.

What favourites have you got from October? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and I hope you’re all ready for the weekend.

May ’16 Favourites

It’s June and it’s also a hella exciting month! Oh God… Did I really just say hella?! Anyway! More to come as to why it is exciting in a couple of days time. πŸ˜› It’s also mine and Dane’s three year anniversary on the 8th, yay! Of course, more into that next week.

However, it is once again time to share my favourites from the previous month, and boy was it hard to narrow it down to five! For once I actually struggled to decide, but eventually I found my favourites, which I’m sharing with you today.

 photo May Favs_zpsteoddxyt.jpg

  • Johnson’s Bedtime Baby Bath (link)

Okay I know this is meant to be for babies, but there is something to me that is really comforting about Johnson’s original baby bath, as well as the bedtime one. Every time I have used the bedtime one before bed I have slept really early, and had a great nights sleep! So it doesn’t just work for babies, obviously. It’s just going to a real treat to keep using, as whilst I love using Twilight bath bomb by Lush before bed, I find this is a nice cheaper version that won’t break the bank.

  • Bourjois Paris Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer (link)

I am loving the Bourjois primers at the moment, the luminous one being the one out of the two (the other is the matte one) that I’ve been using pretty much everyday throughout May. Sadly it’s not pretty much run out, which is the only thing I am disappointed about, because at Β£10.99 a pop it’s a lot to fork out every month. I did however get this and the matte one on the 2 for Β£14 offer in May. Well I wish I had bought more as these are amazing primers, dare I say better than Benefit POREfessional? They really do matte my skin and this one leaves me with a nice healthy looking glow. You don’t need a lot either to get a matte affect. I just love it, but I think I’ll be waiting until another offer comes up where I can feel okay with splashing out Β£11… Still, it’s cheaper than Benefit! πŸ˜›

  • Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in shade Redrum (link) (review can be read here)

I love my Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks, that is a fact and everyone I know, knows this! I wear them quite often and every time I do I always get compliments. This was one of my recent purchases and oh my, do I love it. It might be my favourite shade to date and out of this and Scorpio, I find myself wearing this one more. It’s a gorgeous Marilyn Monroe red shade, perfect for any time of year. I get nothing but compliments on it, and since recently buying Jeffree Star’s white liquid lipstick shade Drug Lord, I’ve been mixing it with all my liquid lipstick to create my own shades! I recently tried it with Redrum and it looks just like Doll Parts! So pleased!

  • Lush Love and Light Hand Cream (link) (review can be read here)

Now this is a hand cream I have come to love when I first bought it, and then when the winter months came in and my hands were really bad, I grew to dislike it due to the fact it wasn’t nourishing my hands as much as I wanted and hoped that it would. However, I began using this again at the start of May and my hands looked beautiful and soft. I was so damn happy! I popped some in a little pot and started taking it with me to work to use after washing my hands. Towards the end of May though my hands have started to look rough again… I don’t know if it’s due to the hand cream not working as well as it did at first, or due to something else. Either way I am disappointed… I love what this hand cream did for my hands again, but I won’t be buying a pot ever again.

  • DKNY MY NY Eau de Parfum (link)

I can’t even remember how long I’ve owned this for now… Must be three or so years now, gosh I feel old! I remember to this day my mom buying me the huge 100ml bottle as it was on an offer, and I’m probably only just halfway through it now. This is a strong scent and one you don’t need a lot of. It isn’t the nicest DKNY scent I have had, but it isn’t awful either. I just use it for work these days, and I get NOTHING but compliments on it! Which is always a good thing. The only thing I dislike about it is how huge the bottle is. It JUST about fits in my handbag, which isn’t exactly huge. It’s a lovely scent though, and perfect for the summer months that are looming.

So those were my five favourite beauty products this month!

What did you enjoy using throughout May? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time take care all, and I hope everyone is having a good week so far.
