Wow it’s been a whole seven months since I last wrote a currently list! Well no time like the present and I have a long time to catch up with to be honest! I still can’t believe how long it’s been since I last wrote a currently, I guess it just goes to show how busy I’ve been.

Watching – I’ve been watching all sorts of stuff recently but for some reason throughout November and December me and Dane were watching LOADS of anime! I love anime so much and at times I go months without watching it, only to come back to it and realise how much I miss it. We’ve been watching various different anime’s at the moment but a couple in general that we’ve been watching are Penguindrum and Your Lie in April.

When I was first talking to Dane I was making my way through Penguindrum (known in Japan as Mawaru Penguindrum) and it’s a very strange anime, but one I will never forget as it does leave an impact on you due to the story line. I had told Dane about it before and for years he wanted to watch it but it was always expensive to buy. However when we were at Comic Con in November (you can read about what fun we had here) we found the anime for £20, which was a bargain! We haven’t actually finished watching it together yet BUT we’ve watched most of it and I forgot how weird and funny the show can be. To quickly explain what it’s about…

With their parents gone, twin brothers Kanba and Shouma live alone with their beloved little sister Himari, whose poor health cannot decline any further. On the day Himari is given permission to temporarily leave the hospital, her brothers take her out to the aquarium to celebrate, where the family’s supposed fate is brought forth with her sudden collapse. However, when Himari is inexplicably revived by a penguin hat from the aquarium’s souvenir shop, the hand of fate continues to tick faithfully forward. With her miraculous recovery, though, comes a cost: there is a new entity within her body, whose condition for keeping her fate at bay sends the boys on a wild goose chase for the mysterious “Penguin Drum.” In their search, the boys will have to follow the threads of fate leading from their own shocking past and into the lives of other wishmakers vying for the Penguin Drum, all hoping to land upon their chosen destiny. (Taken from My Anime List)

I decided to attach a funny video of the penguins in the show, as they’re probably the best part of the anime. 😀

Another anime I mentioned that we’ve been watching is Your Lie in April (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso in Japanese) which I am yet to finish watching. It’s currently on Netflix but for my birthday Dane bought me the first Blu Ray (you can read about that here) which I loved so much! My favourite anime is Nana because of how romantic and beautifully realistic and powerful the story line is, BUT this is definitely one that could have overrode Nana as I love the story line so damn much! I recently guessed how it ends, which I’m gutted about. I’ll pop a little synopsis for this anime as well, even though I’m sure the trailer above will do it justice!

Music accompanies the path of the human metronome, the prodigious pianist Kousei Arima. But after the passing of his mother, Saki Arima, Kousei falls into a downward spiral, rendering him unable to hear the sound of his own piano. Two years later, Kousei still avoids the piano, leaving behind his admirers and rivals, and lives a colorless life alongside his friends Tsubaki Sawabe and Ryouta Watari. However, everything changes when he meets a beautiful violinist, Kaori Miyazono, who stirs up his world and sets him on a journey to face music again. Based on the manga series of the same name, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso approaches the story of Kousei’s recovery as he discovers that music is more than playing each note perfectly, and a single melody can bring in the fresh spring air of April. (Taken from My Anime List)

Reading – I’ve been reading quite a lot of manga lately! Reading books isn’t really something I do anymore… Which is a shocker considering I love writing. I actually blame my masters to be honest. I read so much shit during my course (is that too much to admit? :P) that I think I’ve read enough to last me a while.

ANYWAY… I finally finished reading Nana and I felt so numb and deflated at the end of it because of writer and artist of the manga hasn’t finished it yet. I want to know how it ends so I won’t be able to find out until she returns from her hiatus. I thought I was going to cry as I came close to finishing the manga due to what happens and what I’ve already said, but I was okay. I’ll just have some hope that someday soon I’ll be able to know what has happened to certain characters.

Dane and his parents bought me quite a lot of manga for Christmas and my birthday so I have loads to keep me occupied for a while. Before Christmas however Dane gave me the first volume of Your Lie in April which I loved reading! Since then I’ve been gifted some more and bought all of them, so now I have the whole collection! I intend to spend the next couple of weeks reading the series as I want to know what happens.

As well as that I was gifted some other manga books too which I intend to get through after Your Lie in April.

Listening – I don’t think I’ve actually mentioned it on my blog recently but I went to see The Pretty Reckless live nearly two weeks ago and I can safely say I had an amazing time and definitely had some post gig blues a few days later. Dane went with me and it was our first gig together, which was also really lovely. I’d seen The Pretty Reckless support Evanescence back in 2011 and I loved the show so much. I had heard The Pretty Reckless’ stuff before but had never thought much about it until that gig. From then on I fell in love and they’re one of my favourite bands now. Their new album came out in October so since then I’ve been listening to the album loads, especially recently after seeing them play. One of my favourite songs from the new album is “Take Me Down” which was the first single they released from the album. As well as that I also love the first song on the album “The Walls Are Closing In / Hangman”.

Eating – Since the start of the New Year I’ve changed my diet so much! Both me and Dane realised that since moving into the house we’ve not exactly been eating as well as we could or should so we said we would change the way we eat and what we eat. I’ve been making a lot of stuff myself, including chips and let me tell you, my own chips are the best! I’d prefer to make my own than go to the chippy for example. I’ll be popping my recipe up on my blog in February as they’re too nice not to share. As well as that I’ve baked a couple of times since my birthday including gingerbread men (and foxes!) as well as a red velvet cake loaf.

Wearing – I’m not going to lie when I admit I’ve been living in my lounge wear the majority of the year so far. I bought myself a new pair of Victoria Secret PINK boyfriend pants, which I picked up in the sale. They were meant to be £29.00 but the sticker on them said £21.00 so I got them cheaper than I should have! WOOP! As well as that I have been wearing my Ohayou Clothing Eevee varsity jacket loads since Dane gave it me for Christmas. At The Pretty Reckless gig I bought one of their t-shirts before the show and picked up a raglan tee. I love these and would love to get more! This new addition to my wardrobe is one I’ve worn quite a lot already as it’s just so comfortable and I often team it up with my PINK pants, which are a dusky rose pink by the way. 😛

Wanting – I’m trying to be all spending ban at the moment and as hard as I try I do keep seeing things I want. ARGH! But right now the one thing I REALLY REALLY WANT is tickets to go and see Evanescence in June. They’ve released another date which isn’t yet sold out and sadly due to lack of funds I can’t afford to go, BUT I’m going to see what I can do. I want me and Dane to go to London for a few days for the show, to have a look around London and just enjoy ourselves. We’ve had a very busy seven months since we got the  keys to our house and I think we deserve a break and something to look forward to. Sadly we can’t afford to go aboard on holiday right now, so why not just go somewhere for a couple of days? I’ll see what I can do. Maybe make it a surprise. 🙂

SO I finally have a currently list since when me and Dane first got the keys for the house. Those seven months have flown by and I can’t believe we’ve been in the house that long already.

What’s on your currently list right now? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Woohoo we are well into June now and I can only put the month going by so quickly down to the house! Me and Dane have been really hard at work with the house, which sadly means my blog has been rather neglected lately… I do apologise for that, but I hope my regular readers will understand my reasons why.

However I have just started back at work, so whilst a part of me doesn’t have ANY time now (because of still working on the house) I do have a more time on my hands to get a couple of posts written and scheduled a couple of days a week.

So I thought I would do a not home related post, and instead do a currently one instead, as I haven’t done one for a while.

Watching – I haven’t really had much time to watch a whole lot due to the house, but at times I have managed to catch up on my Netflix and 4OD in the mornings and evenings.

I’ve found myself watching a lot of Only Fools and Horses, which has surprised me to say the least. I do really enjoy the show, but sadly Netflix only has two series on, and a series with all the specials. I want all the series damn you! I was contemplating buying all the series on DVD to just binge watch when we move into the house… But we shall see.

I’ve also been watching a lot of 24 Hours in Police Custody, as I hadn’t realised there was a new series out until my friend Gabriella told me about one episode she had watched. I love TV shows like this, and seeing bad people go daaaawn (down).

A new TV series I’ve been watched recently is The Preacher, which I think is exclusive to Amazon Prime. It’s based off a comic book, and let me tell you it is amazing! Dane told me about it due to Joseph Gilgun playing a main role and thought I might want to watch it. I love Joseph Gilgun, he’s such a talented actor, and definitely one of my favourites. If you aren’t sure who he is, he plays Woody in This Is England, and Rudy in Misfits. He’s really funny in The Preacher as he plays a vampire. I would recommend it to everyone to check out. It’s basically about a preacher… What more can I say?

Reading – I’m naughty… I haven’t really been reading because I’ve not had any time TO read anything. The only thing I’ve really been reading lately are home magazines (can you tell I’ve just bought my first home? It’s so bloody obvious!) just to gain some ideas for the house, both decorating and interior design related. I’m currently flicking through the latest edition of Style at Home which is my favourite one to pick up. It’s cheap at £1.99 and there are loads of great ideas in there from both the writers of the magazine, to average people like you and me, which is what I like about it the most. I think it’s a great magazine to pick up for new home owners like myself, or even if you’re renting and want to get some ideas of how to spruce your place up a bit.

Listening – At this moment in time I’m listening to Nirvana’s first album Nevermind, and it is pretty much all I have listened to the past fortnight. Oh dear… I am obsessed with it to say the least and have especially been playing it whilst decorating the house. Don’t know if Dane or my dad approved, but it is tough! I have always liked Nirvana since a young age when my brother first showed me some of their songs, but I never really listened to their albums until recently. Why? I honestly don’t know! I’m terrible when it comes to music, I listen to bands who no longer exist, or don’t make any more music. I never listen to newer bands. I think it’s because all the newer music is so shockingly shit these days. I don’t know…

As well as Nirvana, I’ve also been listening to a lot of Nightcore. I really wish I wasn’t, because it’s not like I can pay to buy an album. All of their music is on YouTube, which is a pain to download! I’ll admit when I’m moved into the house and settled, I’ll be downloading enough Nightcore songs to make at last two albums, if not three! I find it the most relaxing music to listen to whilst traveling to work, as well as when I’m in work on my break.

Eating – I’ve had chip shop so much whilst me and Dane have been decorating the house. I also forgot how gross Pot Noodle are, I only ate one and decided that one was enough! I’ve also discovered that Tesco sandwiches are amazing, and having a Tesco Express down the road from my house is lethal. So yeah, that’s mostly what food me and Dane have been living off of the past couple of works whilst we’ve been working on the house. I am craving some proper home cooked food.

Wearing – I have legit lived in my old skinny jeans, Fuerteventura hippy pants, old baggy tops, and my Evanescence hoodie for the past two weeks. I mean, what is the point in dressing up when all I’ve going to be doing is painting the house, and probably getting more on me than on the walls? Okay that last part was a joke. But anyway!

I actually forgot how much I loved my Evanescence hoodie until I got it out of the back of my wardrobe recently. I bought it at the first gig of theirs I went to back in 2011 and I remember only paying £5.00 for it because the guy selling them wanted to get rid of them before the end of the night. I ended up buying an XL, which I quickly regretted as at the time I was into wearing all my skinny fit clothing. However I’m not back to wearing baggy clothing and this suits me down to the ground. I’ll probably wear it loads for work now, alongside my new raincoat, which I will be talking about very soon!.

Wanting – The one thing I REALLY want right now is for my house to be done, so that me and Dane can move in. At this moment in time we’re probably halfway to finishing it. Currently the living room is done, and the kitchen will be in just a few days. Me and my dad plan to get the bedrooms done in the next couple of days as well. I guess it just sucks with me being back at work in just a few days too. We’re saying end of June, start of July we’ll be moved in!

I also want to win the lottery so I can pay off the mortgage, and go on a massive IKEA shop and not cry at the bill afterwards. Other than that I actually don’t want much, if anything just stuff to do with my house.

So that was my currently list for May/June, although mostly June to be honest due to the whole house palaver. Again I apologise for being quiet on my blog lately, the house has taken up a lot of my time, and sadly my house is more important. It’ll all be worth it though in the end!

I guess I just want to say thank you to my readers for sticking around with me, and even hello to some new ones! I’ll be back to my usual schedule very soon.

What is on your currently list? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all and have a lovely weekend!

A-Z: Get To Know Me!

I recently found a post of the same title by Be over at Love From Be (link) and I just loved the post so much. It was just a nice and different way of getting to know the blogger you enjoy reading, or have just discovered. So I thought I would give it a go myself! Make sure to go and check out Be’s blog, as she’s so lovely and down to Earth.

Anime – I love anime so much, it’s something I have enjoyed watching from a young age, and the older I’ve got the more anime shows I have found myself watching. Some of my favourites are Elfen Lied, Nana, Azumanga Daioh, Himouto! Umaru-Chan, Sword Art Online, and Fullmetal Alchemist.

Blogging – I didn’t want to have to use this as the letter B, but I really couldn’t think of anything else! I love my blog. It’s my number one hobby, and something I would love to turn into my job in the future. I’ve been running my blog for four years now, and I continue to carry on with it for as long as possible.

Coffee – Well, the title of my blog does have the word coffee in it! I do really like coffee, so much so I worked in Costa Coffee for nearly three years. That is probably the first time I’ve admitted to working in Costa on my blog. 😛 My favourite coffee is vanilla flat white. I love my coffee strong! 😛

Dirty Sanchez – One of my favourite shows has to be this. I love not only that the guys are from the UK, but I also love how they do some worse off stuff than what Jackass have ever done. I’m sad that they aren’t still around, but I’ll always think of Dirty Sanchez as one of the shows I grew up watching and loving.

Evanescence – My favourite band for over ten years now. I fell in love with them when I first heard “Bring Me To Life” on KERRANG! Radio. I ended up buying their first album Fallen and listening to it none stop. I still have that album to this day! I have seen them live twice, and hope to go again in the future. I’ve also met all the band mates (apart from Amy!) from the Evanescence album days. My favourite song is “Imaginary”.

Fuerteventura – This place is legit my second home. I’ve been going there since the age of 5 and I love it. I didn’t go for 10 years and it broke my heart, I forgot how much I loved it and how amazing it was there. I really want to live there one day… But we shall see. I would want to work in a cocktail bar, or hell even run my own on the beach! 😛

Gaming – I’m a gamer. Not a hardcore one, but I still love to play my games! I’m also a console collector too, and I currently own 7 consoles (Nintendo SNES and GameCube, Playstation, PS2, PS3, and PS4, and an Xbox 360), as well as my handheld collection of the original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS Lite, and my Nintendo 2DS. Go me! But I love playing games. Currently obsessed with the LEGO games. I can’t wait for the Star Wars one to come out.

Hyper Japan – I went to my first Hyper Japan convention last summer in London and I loved it so damn much! It wasn’t as good as I was hoping it was going to be, but I still enjoyed myself. I really hope that me and Dane can attend the winter one this year, seeing as we went to the summer one last year.

iPhone – I own an iPhone 6 and I love it to bits! It’s by far the best phone I have owned to date, and I just love it. It feels nice to hold, is great to look at, and to be honest my new phone case just makes me happy. I only got it in the post yesterday when I got home from work and it’s just so adorable. Who can say no to a sleeping Mew, huh?

Jackass – Another one of my favourite shows. I grew up watching this too funnily enough! I would skip school to stay at home eating toast and watching TV shows on MTV. Or I would stay awake all night watching them on Viva. God those were the days! I was gutted when Ryan Dunn died too by the way. It really hit home as he was my favourite one on the show. I’m sad that this has also come to an end, but I love Bad Grandpa, it’s amazing!

Kawaii – A Japanese word for cute. I love cute things and often say kawaii about them to try and be cute myself. It rarely works and I end up looking like a complete loser. 😛

Lipstick – This is really the only makeup I wear, and I’m pretty damn proud of that! I love lipstick, and I’ve recently started to get braver in wearing darker lip shades than I already wear. I love liquid lipsticks the most right now. My favourite brand being Jeffree Star Cosmetics. I also love my MAC lipsticks too, my favourite shade will always be Rebel. I love wearing reds, dark pinks, and purples. Can never get enough of them!

Manga – I love reading manga. I started to read it back in 2011 when I finish university and had time on my hands. I started with Elfen Lied, then moved onto Azumanga Daioh, and Nana. I currently have some Nana to finish reading and then I’ll be moving onto the Sword Art Online series. I need to read the Attack On Titan manga too… But I only have enough time on my hands for one thing at a time.

Nendoroid – These are the awesome figures that me and Dane collect, and we really do love them! We have a nice little collection going at the mostly, which are mostly Dane’s. I only have 3 at the moment whilst he has (from memory) 10 figures… My collection is really lame in comparison! Good Smile recently announced they were creating a Deadpool Nendoroid, so me and Dane are really excited for him!

Ocean – I love the ocean. I love how beautiful it looks and sounds with the colours, and the crashing and gentle swishing noises. I finally got to swim in the sea/ocean on my holiday last January with Dane and I loved it so damn much! I can’t wait to do that again someday.

Image taken from We Heart It

Pokemon – Since the age of 6 I have loved Pokemon, and that love is still just as strong now 10 years later. I still play the games, lust after the cute plushies (as you’ll have seen from my recent wish list post here), and get excited when any new news comes out to do with the franchise. I don’t care if I’m a 26-year-old woman, I love Pokemon! 😛

Queens Of The Stone Age – One of my other favourite bands, and one I really want to see soon! I have always ended up not going to see them live due to having no money, no one to go with, or them playing too far away from home. When they tour again however I won’t let the chance slip away!

Red – Not my  favourite colour (that’s purple) but it’s my colour of choice clothing wise! I love the colour red and how bold, and sexy it looks. It also suits me due to my warm yellow skin tone, as well as my brown hair and eyes. I’m after a gorgeous red rain coat at the moment, but alas I haven’t found much.

Studio Ghibli – This is my Disney. You know everyone loves Disney movies? Well I love Studio Ghibli movies. Me and my boyfriend between us have pretty much all of the films on DVD and whenever a new one comes out we try to go and watch it at the cinema. My favourite is Spirited Away, it always has been and I’m pretty sure it always will be. I do rather like Grave of The Fireflies, even though it’s a really sad film.

Teachers – Another TV show I grew up watching! This used to be on Channel 4 back in the day when I was still at school myself! It always made me want to be a teacher deep down due to how much fun all the teachers had both in and outside of school. Alas that hasn’t happened… My favourite season is probably season 2, but I love them all!

Image taken from We Heart It

Umaru – I am legit Umaru… Constantly hermitting away in my room playing games, eating crap, reading manga, and lusting after things I can’t afford to buy. I’m not cute like her though… Just a very sad 16-year-old stuck inside someone 10 years older than herself… Oh dear. 😛

Vitamin D – This is an odd one, but I actually recently found out I have a vitamin D deficiency… Which of course sucks but I’m currently on medication to help it. The little pills I get are tiny blue ones, which remind me of The Matrix. 😛

Writing – I love to write. I do it for my blog, I write books and stories in my spare time, and I even studied critical and creative writing for my masters degree (as well as for my BA too…). So it is safe to say I love writing. 😛 Need I say more than that???

X (I apologise but I couldn’t think of anything with this letter…)

Yankee Candle – I love these candles! They’re my candle of choice whenever I go to buy any new ones, so I’m always burning them at home. I currently have Christmas Eve burning at the moment as I’m trying to use up all my  tea lights and votives. 🙂

Z (I apologise but I couldn’t think of anything with this letter…)

Image taken from We Heart It

So that was my A-Z about me! Thanks again to Be for posting about this, as if she hadn’t I might not have gotten the chance to have a go at it myself. I also apologise if any of my answers were lame… 😛

Will you be having a go at talking about yourself through an A-Z post? Make sure to let me know if you do so I can read yours!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week so far.

Currently #5

Since the end of February my life seems to be really busy… I mean REALLY busy! Mixture of work, and personal life. I can’t really go into detail as to why it’s so busy at the moment, but soon I’ll hopefully be able to!

It’s currently my day off work, and I’m going to spend most of it in bed, catching up with my blog, and watching stuff on Netflix… Oh and not forgetting pole fitness later too!

Watching: I’ve watched loads of TV shows lately, but I recently discovered a new one called We Bare Bears. It’s a newish children’s TV show on Cartoon Network, but I only discovered it last Saturday. I watched the whole season one, and so far of season two and I really do love it! I prefer it to Adventure Time at the moment… The humour is great for both kids and adults, which I love. My favourite character is Ice Bear, but I can relate more to Pan Pan.

I’ve also been watching some old favourites I loved during, and after university, such as Mongrels and Him & Her. Currently watching the latter. I used to relate to Him & Her for agggges when I was younger, and I somewhat still do to this day. It’s just an amazing show, and the way it’s filmed in a fly on the wall style makes it feel more personal, which I like about it the most. Sadly this series ended a few years ago, and I am still yet to pick up the DVD’s!

organique202_zpspqnll0e6

Reading: I haven’t been playing many games lately… Well not really anyway. Not because I haven’t wanted to, but purely because I really haven’t had the time! But I have recently picked up my Nana manga again, and I forgot how much I loved it! I’m currently on book 14 out of 21 so I have a while to go yet! I’ve also been reading my Bee & PuppyCat comic book. I’ll probably try and finish my Nana manga series off soon so I can start the Sword Art Online manga fairly soonish.

organique202_zpspqnll0e6

Image taken from We Heart It

Listening: I haven’t listened to Evanescence for quite a long time, and recently listened to them driving to and from work. I don’t know how I neglected my favourite band for so long, but I’m glad to have listened to their work again! Fallen is still my favourite album ever, and I can’t wait to have it blasting from my car windows in the summer!

Eating: I haven’t really eaten anything special at the moment… I made me and Dane a macaroni cheese last night, with some of the fresh pasta that me and one of my co workers made that morning. It was delicious, and I added turkey ham to it as well! Nommy nom! I also made us some creme brulee… I say made, but I bought them from Sainsbury’s and then shoved them in the oven with some sugar on top. They didn’t have that nice crack on the top, but they were hella delicious! I have done nothing lately but drink tea, and I don’t know why! xD

Wearing: I have been living in Dane’s tartan pajama bottoms lately… They’re just so damn comfortable and baggy and actually, they really compliment my body. Clothes outside of my house wise, I’ve been living in Dane’s Funeral For A Friend hoodie. It’s just so damn comfortable, and I’m glad he hasn’t asked for it back yet… Nearly three years later! I seem to be living in Dane’s clothes instead of my own.

organique202_zpspqnll0e6

Image taken Jeffree Star Cosmetics Instagram

Wanting: Seeing as I’m on a semi spending ban, I am trying so hard not to buy things. My wanting/wish list is pretty huge at the moment. The one thing I am excited and REALLY want however is the new Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick shade he’s just revealed, Scorpio! It’s a grey purple shade, and exactly what I’ve been after for quite some time! So as soon as that comes out I’ll be ordering myself one. Other than that at the moment I have been lusting after a couple of rain macs from Marks & Spencer. They’re gorgeous bright red ones… But I can’t bring myself to buy one. I need to watch my money. 😦

So those are my currently at the moments! I was going to do a life lately post to have a bit of a catch up, but with not being able to reveal much of what actually HAS been going on at the moment, there wasn’t much point.

I do apologise for being so quiet on my blog lately, as I said at the start of this post I’ve been incredibly busy lately so as soon as I get a day off, or a chance to breathe I use that time to do things I need to do… That sounds mean to my blog but I don’t mean it that way. I don’t make money from my blog. I do from my job!

On that note, what are you currently loving? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and see you soon.

I love a good tag and as I haven’t done one for a while so I thought I’d spend my Sunday afternoon relaxing with my boyfriend for the day and give this tag a go!

No one tagged me to do this but I did come across it on Charlotte’s blog makeupbycandlelight and thought I’d give it a go!

So without further ado I’m going to get on with this tag as I’m somewhat excited to do it.

A – I love anime and have done for a long time! I’ve always loved Disney films since a young age and anything like it so when I discovered anime in my early teens I fell in love with it straight away. The first anime I watched was Elfen Lied, first anime movie was Spirited Away.

B – I’ve been a blogger now since January 2012 and I can safely say that I love it! I may not have been as active with my blogging since March/April but I am still here, writing posts and I really do love doing this.

C – Although I am from Birmingham I do spend half of my time in Coventry too and it’s fast become somewhere I would like to move to in the future. My boyfriend is from and lives in Coventry and some of my favourite and fondest moments this past year have been from there.

D – When I go for a night out, or even if I’m staying in and fancy a drink my alcoholic beverage of choice will be Disaronno and cranberry juice. It’s amazing stuff and I wouldn’t have discovered it if it wasn’t for a lovely lady who worked at a Wetherspoons I visited years ago.

E – One of my first favourite bands were Evanescence, who I first listened to back in 2004 when they brought out Bring Me To Life. I bought their Fallen album not long after that and ever since I’ve loved them. I’ve seen them live twice and for years I had a poster of Amy Lee (the singer) up on my door. Since then that’s been taken down, but it’s kept safe in a special place.

F – I’ve mentioned many MANY times on my blog about how much I love my perfumes and as I already know what I want to talk about for the letter P, fragrance will be my choice of word for my perfumes. I love fragrances and I currently own 14, hopefully near to 20 by the end of the year (if I’m lucky!) I wrote a post about fragrances as a guest post over on my friend Amy’s blog Von Dork. Go and check it out here if you’re interested!

G – Since the age of say six or seven I’ve been into gaming and ever since then I’ve continued on with it. My first consoles was a SNES (Super Nintendo Electronic System) which my brother handed down to me when he bought his Playstation. Ever since I’ve gone on to be given or buy a Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Playstation, Game Boy Advance, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, DS Lite, Game Cube, 2DS and more recently an Xbox 360. Not only do I love to play the games on these consoles but I really do enjoy collecting them all too and my next console of choice to buy is a Dreamcast.

H – My oldest friend of 20 years this September as well as my best friend Hannah had to have a mention here. I love her to bits and we have that sort of friendship where we will go weeks without talking much to being able to continue on with  our friendship when we do talk again like we never even had that quiet. I hope we go on to be best friends for our whole lives.

I – Don’t know if I have mentioned it here before but I’m actually part Irish, as well as part French. Both of these colourful backgrounds come from my Dad’s side of the family and although I’m not THAT much Irish and French it’s something cool to mention.

J – Of all the places I really want to travel to right now, as this very moment in time it’s Japan. I love their culture, their food, everything and I can’t wait to travel there in the future. I based a 4 part series on my blog about Japan at the start of the year, you can read those here, here, here and here.

K – This was probably one of the hardest letters to think of something for but finally I thought of something and that’s Kirby! Recently Nintendo brought out a new game to add to the Kirby series called Kirby Triple Deluxe for the 3DS, which I of course picked up for my 2DS and since then I haven’t been able to stop playing it. Kirby is such a cute character and the game play is amazing. I know all the way to Bristol next weekend I’ll be playing this.

L – Whilst I love my anime and Studio Ghibli films, I also love my Disney movies and my favourite always has been and always will be Lady & The Tramp. I love dogs and the love story between the two dogs is just perfect. Due to my love of this film and the cuteness at the start of it that is Lady as a puppy, whenever the Disney Store have some baby related things for the movie, I get somewhat broody and just want to buy everything for when I have my own babies… But this being said that probably won’t be for another 6 or so years yet so I guess I’ll have to wait… Sigh.

M – There is only one word I can talk about with the letter M and that’s my last dog Magic, who we called Madge for short. She was my second dog and I loved her very much. She was bought for me when I was six years old as company for our first dog Chocky, as well as some more company for myself. She was beautiful and in 2008 she passed away. I was heart broken but she really touched a part of me and that still hasn’t faded nearly six years later. I just know when I get another dog I’ll love it just as much as I loved her, but Madge will never be forgotten.

N – There is only one word to describe me as a whole… A nerd. Yep I am a big fat nerd and I really do like it that way. I love gaming, anime, walking around Forbidden Planet for ages mentally making a list of all the things I want, having movie marathons, etc.

O – Another hard one to try and think of a word for but eventually I came to think of one and that is opinionated. This may make me look like a huge tool but I am VERY opinionated and sometimes it can be a huge bother, especially with my family as we’re all opinionated, sometimes on the same things but sometimes on different matters as well. I’ll only ever discuss things like this with people I know very well and trust, which isn’t a whole lot of people but when I do I am very strong headed about things I feel strongly about.

P – I have mentioned on my blog time and time again about how much I love photography and how I hope to go further with it in the future than it just being a hobby. I haven’t kept up with it much for a couple of months because I’ve been a mixture of busy and not really up for it. I know I’ll get back into the swing of things now I’m not as busy.

Q – Once again I couldn’t think of something for this letter and I actually had to look around a few blogs for some inspiration and I finally found one I could relate to, quotes. I love a quote I can relate to and I have many, one of which features on the side of my blog, “Look like a lady, fight like a man, swear like a sailor!” among many more like, “All I can do is be me, whatever that is.” by Bob Dylan, “It’s not really my problem if they think I’m weird.” by Sid Vicious and finally this one just makes me laugh, “Let me put that on my to do list, ‘Care about your feelings.'” by Brandon Novak.

R – I love reading, whether it be a manga, a chick lit or a biography, I’ll read anything that takes my fancy. For a while I stopped reading because I just didn’t have time or the motivation to pick up a book and read, until more recently when I finished off one of my books and started picking up my books again. I’m currently reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and I LOVE it!

S – A hobby that I’m starting up either the end of June or start of July is snowboarding. Ever since meeting my boyfriend I’ve wanted to give it a go and it’s been on my goals list for nearly a year now so it’s finally time to start it! I really can’t wait as it looks like so much fun and regular and old readers of my blog will know how much I’ve wanted to start this hobby up so I am so excited!

T – This was a pretty simple letter to come up with as I ended up coming up with loads of different words for it, but in the end I settled on Topshop. This has fast become my favourite shop, even though half the time I’m too skint to buy anything from there! I love their skinny fit jeans, t-shirts, coats, shoes, hell even their make up! You can’t go wrong with Topshop.

U – To think that three years ago I finished university and it’s been pretty weird that it’s flashed by me as quickly as it has. I really wish I could go back to my 17 year old self to tell her to take something else, possibly at a different university. I don’t exactly regret what I took at university, or which university I decided to go to but I do wonder if I had of taken something else at the time I might be in the job that I want my career to be in, but who knows.

V – As I had already chosen a word for the letter P, I decided that this letter could be violet, which is close enough to purple as I’ll get. I love the colour purple ever since I was a little girl and I’m rather surprised that even though it’s my favourite colour I’ve never had it on my blog, which will probably change in the future.

W – Although I don’t do it as much as I used to and I miss it, I really do like walking. It helps me to clear my head when I need to think and when the weather is gorgeous it’s good to get outside, plus it’s a good form of exercise. I really do need to walk more often though. Speaking of walking a few weekends ago I went walking in the Lake District and managed to walk up Helvellyn which is nearly 4,000 ft but I only managed 3,000 ft of it but for my first mountain climb I’m really quite proud of myself for getting so high and all my friends praised me on how well I did too.

X – I’m mentioning gaming related stuff here again with the Xbox 360. As a Playstation lover I ALWAYS said that I would never EVER buy a 360 due to the rivalry between that and the PS3 but I didn’t buy my 360, I was actually given one by my boyfriend after he bought a newer version off of a friend. I’ll only be using it to play Minecraft with friends online, as well as 360 exclusive games, my heart is still with my PS3.

Y – Another word that was inspired by a blogger who had also taken part  in this tag, the word yuck! I’m a very fussy eater and a majority of food I won’t eat because I just don’t like it! My boyfriend is trying to get me to eat more things but due to the fact I’m so fussy half the time he tries and sadly fails, poor guy!

Lake District

Z – The last letter of this tag (thank God!) was a pretty easy one to think of a word for, zombies. I’m not a zombie nerd but there is one zombie film I love and one (well technically two) zombie game I love to play and those are Shaun of The Dead, Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. Me and my best friend grew up loving Shaun of The Dead and since meeting my boyfriend I’ve grown to enjoy playing the Left 4 Dead games as they’re just so much fun to play with others.

So that was my version of the Life In Letters Tag!

I nominate everyone who reads this tag to take part as whilst it was fun to do, it was also really challenging and rather random.

It’s currently 2.30am and I’m really tired, I usually go to be before 12am so it’s WAY past my bed time!

Until next time, take care all and I hope your week going well so far.
