April Wish List

Okay I won’t lie, I did infact write up a brief post about how I wouldn’t be writing up a wish list post this month, due to not having anything to really talk about wishing for this month… But after thinking for a while I came to realise that there are at least 5-6 things that I would like to get my mucky paws on soon… Whether it be this month or not, I dunno but soon would be nice. Some things are pure lusting after and some are more expensive treats, but either way I would like them and rather than not writing up a wish list post and thinking half way through April, “Bloody hell Nat! Why didn’t you do a post about those few things at least?” I thought I would get something written, as to be honest out of the three posts I write up and schedule for my blog at the start of each new month, the wish list is my favourite one. So I won’t put it off a second time, here is my wish list for this month. 🙂

April Wish List

  • Fearne Cotton Stripe Cardigan – Was £35.00, Now £24.00.

I’m a fan of Fearne Cotton’s collection for Very and have been for quite some time now, infact since she released her first collection, which I have a few pieces from. This cardigan is currently in their sale and although it isn’t exactly cheap, it looks extremely comfortable and something I could imagine myself living in throughout the mild spring days and evenings, as well as the warm summer evenings. I’d team it with my gorgeous black skater skirt, a quirky t-shirt and some boots. On the reviews for this cardigan it is said to be a little over sized but that isn’t a problem for me as I like my cardigans like that quite frankly. This wouldn’t just be worn in spring and summer either! It’d be great to layer up during the autumn and winter months too and although I probably don’t need another cardigan, I really can see me picking this up soon before they’re all gone!

  • Barry M Limited Edition Birthday Nail Paint for Superdrug – £2.99.

This nail paint is so gorgeous and when Brit Nails reviewed it on her blog recently I just fell in love with it and I already know that I NEED it in my life and at £2.99, can I go wrong or break the bank? Not really! Superdrug has been open for business for 50 years and Barry M has created this nail paint to help celebrate just that. I have a lot of childhood memories of joining my Mom as a little one in Superdrug and watching her buy all her beauty products and make up, not knowing I would go with her into the same store 10 years later to purchase my own beauty and make up products. If you want to know more about this polish, as well as see for yourself how beautiful it is, go and check out Brit Nails post here. It’s not available to buy from Superdrug until 9th April but as soon as it hits the shelves in store I’ll be popping into Superdrug to pop one into my basket! I can see this being one of my nail polishes for the summer this year!

  • Disney Store WALL-E 3D Mug – £9.00.

I know this mug isn’t cheap, but it is hella cute! I’ve had my eye on this mug for months now, but only recently has it become available to buy online again after being out of stock for quite a while. I don’t exactly need a new mug, I am rather fond of my 101 Dalmatians Lucky one from the Disney Store but I can’t really resist WALL-E. I loved the film when it came out in 2008 and it still has very fond memories for me, 6 years later. I had contemplated picking up the WALL-E mug for myself and the EVE mug for my boyfriend so that we would match, or the other way around with the whole girl and boy thing, but I’m not sure right now. I would love to pick this mug up though, as the Disney Store mugs are somewhat of a collectors item for myself and I know when I move out all I want to serve people their hot beverages in are none matching Disney or cartoon mugs, because I’m just quirky like that. 😛

  • Muru Anchor Pendant In Sterling Silver – £37.95.

Victoria’s Vintage recently posted about this on her blog and as soon as I saw the necklace I fell in love with it. I only have two proper pieces of jewellery, my Pandora bracelet and a heart locket necklace my Mom bought me years ago. I don’t wear my locket much anymore, not for any reason in particular other than I just don’t think it’s very me right now and plus due to my anxiety I find I click it all the time which at times can drive other people, as well as myself crazy! This being said I do want to wear it more, as well as get myself something new and more delicate. So when I saw this anchor necklace I just fell in love, it’s very me and the meaning behind it is also very me too. I love the whole background of sailors and why they would get anchor and swallow tattoo’s and at one point I contemplated getting either, if not both of these tattooed somewhere on myself, only to realise later how everyone is doing that and I’m not everyone. This necklace isn’t expensive, but it isn’t cheap either but as I don’t have much jewellery and thus don’t spend much on it (if anything!) I might treat myself to this necklace very soon.

  • New Look Black Chunky Double Strap Biker Boot – Was £34.99, Now £17.00.

I have wanted these boots since February when I spotted them in New Look whilst shopping with my Mom. Sadly they didn’t have any in my size and since then I’ve searched in both the Birmingham New Look’s, as well as two in Coventry and at some stores they didn’t have my size, and some they didn’t have any at all! So when I searched New Look’s website for these boots, I was delighted to see that they not only had them, but they had them in my size too! I have wanted some of these boots for a while and whilst I might not pick THESE boots up, they are pretty much what I would like and New Look are pretty good when it comes to shoes. I just want to update my grunge look a little for when the summer comes upon us, but I’m keeping my options open, so we shall see if I pick these up or not.

  • piCture pOlish Nail Polish in Aurora – £13.50.

Another nail polish that I heard about from Brit Nails and another one that I NEED in my life… But really I need this polish in my life and I doubt very much that I am the only beauty blogger, nail polish lover, or woman for that matter that feels this way. This polish is just the galaxy in a bottle. It looks just like it without having to go to all that hard work of using 5 different coloured nail polishes, dotting tools, sponges, and all sorts of nail polish tools to get that look on the nails, only to have to remove it mere days later due to chipping, being bored of how it looks, or work. This isn’t cheap but for how much it is, the fact that it is limited edition, and finally how beautiful it is it is worth EVERY penny! If you can’t take my word for how gorgeous this polish is, then head over to Brit Nails again to see the swatches she took of it and see for yourself… I shall say no more apart from if you think it is gorgeous then comment down below telling me what you think of it. Well that’s pretty much it for my wish list this month! Plenty of nail polishes on there, some clothes and some other bits and pieces. What are you lusting after this month? Let me know in the comments! I’m meant to still be on my spending ban this month, so I’m going to try and be good, the only things I can see me being naughty and splashing on are the nail polishes and the necklace. But we shall see, eh? Until next time, take care all and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Birthday Wish List

As it’s my birthday tomorrow, I thought I would post a birthday wish list here! I’m actually out for my birthday today with my boyfriend, as he couldn’t get tomorrow off work to celebrate my actual birthday, but we shall FaceTime in the evening where we can talk about things, such as how our days have been so far, as we always do.

A lot of this stuff is things that may have been ordered for me (dress and skate shoes) and things I may have been bought by loved ones already without me knowing, but either way this is my wish list and even if I don’t get this stuff, I won’t care as Christmas just proved what lovely things my family, friends and my boyfriend buy me.

I’m really excited for my birthday and at this moment in time I’m probably having one of the best birthday’s I have ever had, but at this moment in time I am just sat in bed, writing up this post with a cup of peppermint tea and Let’s Play Minecraft on my iPad.

So, let’s get on with the post!

Birthday Wish List

  • Pandora Charm(s).

This isn’t on the image above but that’s because they have a post all of their own, here on the Pandora Wish List post I made for them. Due to my boyfriend being such a cutie, he hacked my wish list and typed at the bottom how he had actually bought me one of the charms on my wish list, but of course I will probably have to wait until this evening to find out which one he has bought me. I am rather excited! I know my Mom and Dad have both said they want to buy me some charms and asked for my wish list so that they’ll know which I would like, of course they knew which charm my boyfriend has bought me too. So maybe I’ll have more than one charm, who knows!

  • Red Panda from Build A Bear.

Me and my boyfriend spotted these cute little guys in Build A Bear and as he has always wanted to make one himself and I call him my Red Panda, it seems like the best time to finally go and make one together! We both looked at all the clothes we could dress him up in when we ventured into Build A Bear after Christmas whilst we were sales shopping and both decided that we would go back there to make a Red Panda for me to keep. I know my boyfriend won’t have got me one of these in time for my actual birthday but I’m hoping once he’s back from his holiday that I’ll be able to go with him so we can make one together!

  • Eileena Jumper from Animal.

I mentioned this a few months ago in a wish list post and I still want this jumper! It’s currently in the sale for £32.00, down from £45.00. It isn’t much of a saving to be fair but I do really want it. It’s a gorgeous red jumper with a fox on the front of it and when I went into town before Christmas with my boyfriend we had a look in Animal at the jumper, as he hadn’t seen it before. I tried it on and it felt lovely and soft and something that I could snuggle up in! I would wear this with the black skater skirt I bought from Topshop, which you can see in my sales haul post. I’m hoping the price of it lowers soon as I really want it but £32.00 still seems like a lot of money to me.

  • Sticker Jeans from Element.

Since my boyfriend introduced me to Two Seasons I have gone mad looking at what they have for offer in their sale and I stumbled upon these jeans on their website in the sale. I’m after some new jeans as I’m a tad bored with the pairs I have at the moment and I think these would look great with my Chelsea boots and a jumper to keep me warm. They’re £30.00 in the sale, down from £60.00! I think they’re gorgeous and I love the effect on the top of the thigh. I would rather prefer some boyfriend jeans mind, as I love my baggy jeans on lazy days.

  • Fearne Cotton Velvet Swing Dress.

I already have this dress as I’m wearing it today but it was on my wish list for my birthday or Christmas present for quite a while but my Mom offered to buy it me for my birthday present and I’m wearing it today. I’ve teamed it up with some thick black tights to keep me warm, my Chelsea boots and I’m still trying to decide which coat or jacket to wear with it. It’s a gorgeous dress and I know I’ll wear it quite a lot over the winter season. I love the colour purple too and as this is a swing dress it has a weird cut to it. The sleeves are tight, but not too tight. I find them comfortable but I know a lot of people who haven’t, judging by their comments on the website my Mom ordered this from. I’ve never been a fan of the cut of swing dresses as I find they make you look bigger than you actually are, but at the same time I hate my tummy and hips/love handles, which this dress does a good job of. I have wanted a new velvet dress for quite a while so this was a perfect buy and it gets better, this was meant to be £49.00 but my Mom snapped it up for £29.00! Bargain!

  • DC Court Graffik Vulc Se Women’s Skate Shoes.

On Christmas my Mom asked me if I wanted some new trainers, as my Vans were starting to look worse for wear and that I could do with having some new ones. To be fair they are nearly 10 years old and I have started to notice that if I go out in them when it’s raining, my feet get soaked and soggy feet isn’t a pleasant thing, especially when it’s cold! So I told her I would have a look online for some new ones and I found these gorgeous DC ones! My boyfriend has quite a few pairs of DC trainers and lust after his black and purple pair all the time, telling him how much I want a pair of his for myself. These babies are pretty cheap in the sale at £30.00 down from £60.00 so I’ve ordered them and my Mom has been kind enough to offer to pay for them for me as a birthday present. I can’t wait for them to arrive so that I can start to wear them with my boyfriend jeans. I love my lazy days with trainers and DC’s are pretty great quality, from owning a pair before.

I think that’s pretty much everything from my birthday wish list! It wasn’t ever going to be a long list because I don’t really mind what I get for my birthday as it’s always the thought that counts, isn’t it?

I’ll be writing and posting about my birthday anyhoo especially after today as well as tomorrow if I do anything for it, but chances are I’ll probably stay in bed, or maybe venture out for a walk, we shall see!

Either way I’m excited for my birthday tomorrow and I haven’t been excited for a birthday for quite a long time.

I hope everyone’s had a good weekend, I know I will be!

Until next time, take care all and see you soon!

My Safe Place, My Bed

DSC_0064

This post is something a little different from usual. Today I decided that I want to write about my safe place, my bed. This is probably somewhere a lot of people call their safe place and you might have the same reasons as I do for deciding on this place.

Everyone has a safe place, somewhere that they go to when they don’t feel at their best, feel poorly or like myself are feeling rather anxious a tad too often and just want somewhere familiar they can go to and be themselves without any worry.

I love my bed, I always have but over the past year I’ve loved it more than ever and without it, I’d be pretty screwed.

Whenever I’m at home I’ll be sat in my bed on my laptop doing some writing with the covers over my legs to keep me warm, or snuggled up inside my bed with the blankets over my head watching YouTube videos or reading blog posts on my iPhone.

I don’t have a desk in my room and the only place I really have to sit is either on the floor or in my bed and as the latter is more comfortable, I always choose that one.

Before work I’ll wake up early just so I can lie in my bed and watch YouTube videos and read blog posts. That may sound really lazy and sad to most but to me staying in my bed is just something I enjoy doing. I don’t really sit with my family and talk about life and such, we all like to be on our own to do our own things, only really talking to one another if we need to be in the same room at any time. This sounds really bad, I know but it’s the way we live and I suppose we’re all happy that way.

When I come home from work, my boyfriends, or from being out with friends I’ll come straight up to my room. I don’t get into bed straight away but let’s say half an hour after arriving home, I’ll be in my pajamas and tucked into bed doing something, more than likely related to my blog.

On my days off I won’t budge from my bed unless I have to, as I’ll usually spend most of my day writing for my blog, which is what I spend most of my time doing towards the end of October and the same will go for this month due to NaNoWriMo. As you can see I have my favourite picture (to date) of my boyfriend and I as my wallpaper. I’ve never really done this before with previous relationships, not even friends so it’s nice to see us both looking so happy whenever I turn my laptop on. I need to get this picture printed off soon, as I just love it so much, it makes me really happy.

I’ll settle down with all the things I need, my iPhone, some lip balm which at the moment is Vaseline’s Paint The Town Red Lip Tint (review here) and a notebook. I love notebooks and I have so many of them for different things. My notebook was a present bought for me by my boyfriend. It’s by Gemma Correll’s greeting cards and gift products called Pickle Parade and has her Pugs Not Drugs design on the front. I use it to write good things down in so I can look back over them when I’m feeling crappy. It’s my favourite notebook by far, mostly because my boyfriend bought it for me and plus I love the design. I use my pink BIC pen when I write inside of it, as it looks nice alongside the blue and white colours of the notebook itself.

Since getting my iPhone in September I love it so much and anyone who claims that they’re rubbish, has clearly never owned an iPhone! In a way I wish I could have got the iPhone 5s, as I have the 5 but I needed a new phone desperately and either way I love this. I use it for Bloglovin’ and it’s great to read posts when I’m traveling anywhere. I use it to organise blog posts and what I intend to write about and such. It’s a great little device and I love my old skool Gameboy case for it too, which I snapped up on eBay for just 99p!

These are the newest edition to my bedroom, my bed sheets. I bought them in October and they’re by Fearne Cotton. Not only does she design clothes for Very, but now she’s designing pieces for your home too and I love everything she has designed so far! I picked these bed covers up in the sale after eying them up since May so I’m glad I finally have them on my bed now. They’re really soft and cozy to wrap yourself up in on cold days and a pleasure to snuggle in whenever I’m writing.

This being said, I wouldn’t say they’re my favourite bed sheets but they’re definitely a treat to put on my bed as they’re different to my usual black and white bed sheets.

I usually have loads of pillows on my bed but I haven’t been as bothered to have them all on there as much as I used to, so I just have my favourite 101 Dalmatians pillow on there from the Disney Store. This pillow is so comfortable to rest on and it’s really soft and squishy too. It’s probably meant to be for a child, but I don’t care, I love 101 Dalmatians!

Although I love my bed, I’m wanting a double bed now. My boyfriend and I struggle to sleep when he stays over at mine due to not much room in a single for two people… Two people who take up a lot of room in a double bed, let alone a single! This being said my room isn’t the largest in the world and for me to have a double bed, would mean a lot less room for me to move around in here, which I don’t have with a single now as it is! But we shall see…

DSC_0038

Finally as you can see next to my bed I have a little picture wall against my wardrobe and it goes all the way up, this pictures only got a couple of them in this picture. Since my boyfriend and I got together in June, I’ve since put two pictures of us both up on my photo wall, a place only my best and closest friends are put up on, as well as family. The first picture I ever saw of my boyfriend is one of him in a suit, I thought he looked gorgeous and I’m so glad he messaged me on the website we met on. The picture above it is one of my favourite pictures. One evening before I headed home from his we took some pictures together and this was one of them. I have some more pictures of my boyfriend and I to pop up on my photo wall, including the one I have on my laptop.

I love my bed so much and although this post is rather random, I came up with the idea a few days after putting my new bed sheets on and snuggling up inside of them.

Does anyone else love their bed as much as I do? Please let me know if you do.

This is definitely my safe place for life and I’m pretty sure if I get a double bed in the near future, that will just be as safe feeling as this one.

Until next time, take care all and i hope you enjoyed this post.
