JenniFairy Illustration – Review*

2019 is the year where I really got to work with some amazing people and companies on my blog, but 2019 is also the year where I have been privileged to work with one of my favourite independent artists, JenniFairy.

As readers will know, since 2018 I have discovered a new hobby, which is enamel pin collecting. I just love them so much! They’re affordable, can be pinned anywhere and best of all a great way to show off some of your favourite artists, game series and more.

If there is one independent artist I really do love and adore, it’s JenniFairy! I love her Pokemon pins, as well a her food pins too. We’ve been talking together for a while now through Instagram and I’ve discovered what a lovely person she is to talk to! We spoke about Japan, what she hopes to do with her store in the future and more. She’s one of my favourite artists to talk to, purely for how approachable and honest she is.

So, when we decided to work together, I was so excited! Whilst I have worked with loads of big companies and people this year, I have also learnt that I actually get more joy out of working with smaller/newer companies and independent artists, especially ones I have loved and bought from for many years.

JenniFairy is definitely one of those people! I’ve spoken about Jenn and her store on my blog before. Once back in 2017 when I first discovered her and mentioned her on my old independent artists series and literally this time last year when Jenn worked with Sour Attitude Club to create two gorgeous Pikachu enamel pins in their Pika Sweets Cafe range!

I remember wearing these pin badges to Birmingham Comic Con in March on my Persona 5 varsity jacketΒ and EVERYONE asked me about them. Who they were by, how much, etc. I felt so happy to share JenniFairy and her store with everyone at the con. πŸ˜€

I am so excited to share with you guys not only the pins that Jenn sent me to talk about on my blog but I’m also going to show you some I have bought myself! As always, I will share links, prices and of course which pins were gifted to me, as well as which ones I bought. πŸ™‚

Some of the items mentioned in this post have been gifted for promotional and reviewing purposes, so all views on this post are entirely my own. Items that have been gifted will have a * next to them.

I have a few different pin designs (and a sticker!) from a couple of different “series” that JenniFairy has released recently, as well as throughout the rest of 2019. πŸ™‚

The first series I will talk about is the most recent one, which is called Spoopy Cuties. I remember when Jenn was sketching the ideas up for these cute pin designs and I honestly fell in love with all the dressed up ghosts! I knew I had to pick up one of these when they came out.

The Spoopy Cuties will be perfect all year around! I know loads of people who love Halloween and I feel like these designs will be perfect for showing off your love of the spooky month. πŸ˜›

In the collection there are 6 designs to choose from – Pumpkin Buddy (you can also grab a glitter variant too which is special edition!), Boolloons, Angel Ghost, Devil Ghost, Witch Bunny and Boonicorn. I was gifted and bought the last 2.

Witch Bunny Enamel Pin* – A Grade Β£8.00 and B Grade Β£6.00 (link)

I know loads of people who actually picked up the Witch Bunny enamel pin and I can honestly understand why. This is one of my favourite designs to come out in the Spoopy Cuties because it’s so cute with that bit of Halloween too! The purple hat works really well with the white bunny and I especially love the star detailing on the hat too. This is on a gold finish and has two clutch fixes on the back. I do really love this bunny! It would be really cute to wear on a leather/fake leather jacket!

BoonicornΒ Enamel Pin – A Grade Β£8.00 and B Grade Β£6.00 (link)

This is the pin I knew I had to buy when it came out! I actually picked up a B Grade for a change and I have to be honest, this doesn’t look like a B Grade at all! If anything it looks like an A Grade, which makes me so happy. I can’t see any defects on it at all, which is good. The Boonicorn is so pastel, I love it! It has a pastel mane made of colours yellow, pink. blue and purple, as long as a sparkly white unicorn horn, which I found to be such a cute and magical unicorn touch! It’s face is so happy with it’s pink rosy cheeks and little arms. It’s just so damn cute! I love ghost themed things at Halloween so this pin is perfect for me! I already plan to wear it in my new itabag whilst I’m in Japan! This is on a gold finish and has two clutch fixes on the back.

The next collection I want to talk about is actually from the first Kickstarter that JenniFairy released this year, which is Big Cat Cuties. The campaign came out in July, with pins being sent out to backers at the start of October. I backed one of the designs, but Jenn was kind enough to also send me one of the cats I regret not picking up!

The collection (as the name suggests) is inspired by big cats of the world, with the collection including 6 designs to choose from – Jaguar, Black Panther, Snow Leopard, Lion, Lynx and Tiger. Again, I was gifted and bought the last 2.

Big Cat Cuties Tiger Enamel Pin* – Β£9.00 and Seconds Β£7.00 (link)

I actually think this is my favourite design out of all the Big Cat Cuties! It looks so bright with the orange and adorable with it’s little happy face! As I mentioned before, I did regret not backing for 2 pins because I wanted this one so much! This will look adorable on a cream jumper or cardigan at work, or even on a coat throughout the winter months. I know cat fans are also massive on cat toe beans, which the Tiger has! It has little black pads, so cute! It’s the only Big Cat Cutie design to have this. This is on a gold finish and has two clutch fixes on the back.

Big Cat Cuties Lynx Enamel Pin – Β£9.00 and Seconds Β£7.00 (link)

This is the Big Cat Cuties design I chose from backing the Kickstarter campaign and it’s so adorable! I’m not a massive “cat” fan, but I couldn’t resist this cute animal pin designs, especially as they were by JenniFairy. I love the grey colour of the Lynx design and especially the cute little pink nose. It adds such a perfect touch alongside the white and grey. This is an enamel pin I know I’ll wear loads, as I love the colour scheme so much. I love the fluffy detail on the ears, it’s so well done and really does bring out more detailing on the character. I would love to wear this both in my new itabag as well as on my red winter coat! This is on a gold finish and has two clutch fixes on the back.

Big Cat Cuties Sticker Sheet – Β£4.00 (link)

I was gifted these with my Kickstarter campaign award (Lynx) and just wanted to show them to you guys! They’re so damn cute and I don’t have the heart to use them yet, as I’m not 100% sure HOW I want to use them! You get all of the Big Cat Cutie designs here and these would make a lovely little Christmas gift for someone who loves cats.

The next pin I want to talk about is a design that brought me to JenniFairy’s store in the first place, which is her adorable Eeveelution collection called Chubbilutions! I actually already own a couple of the Eeveelution pins already, which is both Eevee (a seconds pin) and Sylveon. The one I opted for this time is Vaporeon, which is one of my favourites out of the 9 cuties! Of course you can pick up Eevee, Flareon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon. I would LOVE to own all these in the future! πŸ˜€

Vaporeon Enamel Pin* – Β£8.00 (link)

I’m so glad I chose this design as it’s absolutely adorable, as well as really well detailed! I love that all of the Chubbilutions are munching on their tails, which is such a cute idea. I love how JenniFairy worked on this for each Eeveelution too. I do love the tail in Vaporeon’s mouth though, the cute little mermaid pupper that it is! I also love the detail on the scales of the Vaporeon too along its tail and as odd as it sounds, it feels really comforting on the fingers when you stroke it. This pin will be perfect to wear all the time and I especially can’t wait to put this pin and the Sylveon one together in my itabag! This is on a gold finish and has two clutch fixes on the back.

As well as enamel pins, Jenn also sent me a sticker! I actually own the enamel pin design of the sticker that I was sent. I wanted this sticker to pop either into my Filofax diary, or even a notebook.

Pikachu Crepe Sticker* – Β£2.00 (link)

I love this design so much, it shouts Japan to me in every sense with both the Pikachu and the crepe. It’s so cute and really does remind me of when I went to Birmingham comic con in March and everyone adored this design, alongside the Pikachu ice cream design that I own both of the pins of.

Finally I’m going to be talking about my favourite item that Jenn sent me in my gifted package and it’s an item that is sadly no longer available as it was limited edtion. HOWEVER, Jenn will be bringing a special Christmas edition out of this little cutie, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for this!

Detective Pikachu Enamel Pin*

I love this pin so much and it’s one that Jenn was kind enough to put to one side for me before it sold out, as she knew how much I wanted one! As I mentioned before, this pin is now sold out but I just had to mention it here because I know JenniFairy will be bringing this back for Christmas… So make sure to keep eyes peeled for this limited edition cutie! The original design has his cute little deer stalker hat on and his takeaway cup of coffee! I love the pastel colour scheme for this too, it’s perfect and really does shout JenniFairy’s unique style to me! I loved Detective Pikachu so I’m so pleased to have a little pin badge to show this. This will definitely be going into my itabag and taken with me to Japan! This is on a gold finish and has one clutch fixes on the back.

So that is everything that both JenniFairy sent me, as well as the few bits I picked up myself. πŸ™‚

I cannot thank Jenn enough for giving me the opportunity to work with her for this blog post today and it is by far one of my favourite collaborations of 2019! I’m so excited to put these pins in my itabag, as well as on cardigans, coats/jackets and more to show off to the world and especially when I go to Japan! πŸ˜€

I love talking about independent artists on my blog, especially when I love what they do! If it means I can talk about something I adore and help my readers discover new places to buy kawaii goods from at the same time, it’s real blessing.

Overall I honestly love Jenn’s designs and they’re so unique and whenever I see her work I instantly know it’s her. Her designs are cute, pastel and chubby, can you get anymore kawaii than that? I don’t think so. πŸ˜›

Not only does she design Pokemon themed goods, but she does also design food and Japanese food, as well as some other animal designs too. Make sure to go and check out her store for more, as well as go and bag yourself some goodies as well! πŸ˜€

I’ve posted JenniFairy’s links down below so you can check out her store, as well as all her social media platforms. πŸ˜€

Christmas is looming and I feel JenniFairy would be a great place to pick up a Secret Santa present, as well as gifts for friends or young teenagers who love Pokemon.

What would you like to pick up for yourself, or a friend? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!

Until next time all, I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. πŸ™‚

What I Got For My 29th Birthday

I cannot believe we’re nearly two weeks into January! The month is already going by quickly and I cant say as I like it. πŸ˜›

As I always do, I thought I’d write about what gifts I received for my 29th birthday. Like Christmas, I love reading gifts that people receive for both that and of course for birthdays too!

Since the 21st December I haven’t stopped and this weekend I’ll be doing sod all! I just want to relax and not worry about doing anything in all honesty. The only thing I want to do is clean my bathroom and play games. πŸ˜› Nice mixture of adulthood and childhood right there. πŸ˜›

Anyhoo, without further ado, I’m going to show you all the wonderful gifts I received!

I started off the day by opening with Dane’s parents had bought me, which I was surprised by! I couldn’t believe that they’d not only bought me the Elodie the Unicorn humidifier as well as some essential oils to use with it! There are three essential oils in the box which are lavender, tea tree and eucalyptus. Since Sunday night we’ve been using this every evening whilst we sleep and it works so lovely! So far I’ve used the eucalyptus essential oil as I’ve felt like I’ve had a bit of a head cold the past couple of days and it works so great!

Seeing as this is an Elodie the Unicorn item and I’ve mentioned their stuff before on my blog, would you like me to review this humidifier? Make sure to let me know in the comments! πŸ˜€

After opening my adorable humidifier I opened the gifts that Dane had bought me. I was rather excited for what he’d bought as bar one thing, I didn’t have a clue about the others!

First of all the item(s) I knew about receiving are these amazing Pokemon Center Pokemon Doll pin badges! I started to collect these over a year ago and had been picking them up in dribs and drabs. As there was three I was missing, I decided I wanted to finish off my collection, but that was proving easier said than done considering these seem to now be discontinued. Then I found the three I needed on Asakura-Japan, an eBay and online store me and Dane use whenever we’re after certain things from Japan. I’d asked Dane for these for quite some time whenever he asked what I wanted for Christmas, birthday etc and Christmas he finally decided to order them! However, they got lost in the post and it sucked. He felt guilty and seemed a bit bummed about it as it seemed the Royal Mail had misplaced them at our local depot. He got his money back though and the seller offered Dane a discount so he could reorder them, which he was hesitant to do. However, I really wanted the pins so ordered them myself with a discount code I had myself for eBay. Dane being Dane sent me the money I’d spent on the pins and when they arrived he wrapped them up and popped them into my birthday bag. πŸ™‚

As you can see I have three of the original four Eeveelutions, Eevee, Jolteon and Flareon. I’m so chuffed to have all 9 Eeveelutions pin badges now! I plan to buy a frame and some cork board from IKEA so I can make a nice little frame to hang up in the house. πŸ™‚ I’ll definitely post about the making of this as and when I do it!

The next gift I received I had a feeling was a Nendoroid, but when it comes down to these gifts both me and Dane always open them last as they’re classed as our “big” or “main” presents from one another. I wasn’t quite sure which Nendoroid it would be in all honesty as I know Dane struggled to get me one as most of them I want right now I’ve either pre ordered myself, or are sold out in most places.

Alas, I opened it to see he’d bought me the casual version of Yuri Katsuki from Yuri on Ice. He’s so gorgeous and in all honesty I worried I would never get it to add to my Yuri on Ice collection. I remember when he was announced, I was so excited for him to come out so now that I have him, I can’t wait to get him into a cute position and pop him with the rest of my Yuri on Ice babies! πŸ˜€

The Nendoroid also came with a wooden Yuri Katsuki charm, which is so cute! He’s sat on the floor with an ice skate in his hands. I plan to keep him on my backpack alongside my Persona 5 Joker charm.

The final present that Dane bought me is by far my favourite gift and one that is so cute and thoughtful. He knew I’d had my eye on the Pokemon Pop’n Step figures for a while now and being the cutie that he is, he found the Eevee one and bought it for me. I actually think with this present he was more excited for me to open it than I was! πŸ˜›

This is amazing though and I couldn’t be happier with it! It plays three songs from the original Red, Blue and Yellow games which is cool. You click the button on the right and Eevee will dance to the music played. If you push that button again it stops the music. The button on the left is the volume, which is muted, low or high. We tried muting the music so you could hear how Eevee dances without it and it’s amazing that you can still tell what the songs are without the music.

I especially love how you can connect these to the other Pokemon Pop’n Step figures, but this is also dangerous because I want them all now. πŸ˜› Honestly though I love this gift so much, it made me so happy for almost an hour the day I received it and the day after. The Eevee’s little face is just so magical to look at whilst it dances.

So those are all the gifts that Dane bought for me! I also received some money from family. The money I was gifted from my mom is being saved until I’m paid next month, so for now it’s saved for a rainy day. The money my dad gifted me went towards a new Pandora charm for my bracelet, this charm being the Bobby Bot Dog charm that I’ve been eyeing up for some time now. It’s so damn cute and the online store didn’t do it justice. I love it so much and every time I look at it, I think of my dad. πŸ™‚

The rest of the money I received went towards some bits and pieces whilst shopping in town on my birthday, including some Lush products which were Christingle Naked Body Conditioner (which was in the sale), The Big Banana Massage Bar (which smells amazing! I don’t quite know what I plan how/where I wish to use this yet. It was tested on Dane and smelt too good to pass up!) and Six Yellow and Red Reusable Bubble Bar (which smells JUST LIKE YOG NOG! One of my favourite Lush scents!).

I plan to try and review Six (Yellow and Red) Reusable Bubble Bar reviewed on my blog before Valentine’s Day, so keep eyes peeled for that. πŸ™‚

I also picked up the Blu-ray of Mary and the Witch’s Flower as it was only Β£9.99! I planned to watch it when me and Dane got home from town on my birthday, but we were too tired and just chilled out together in bed and read manga.

Finally I picked myself a little something up that I’d been eyeing up before Christmas. It’s the Loungefly Pokemon Eevee Embossed Tri-Fold Wallet which I mentioned before Christmas I’d wanted, but had sold out and I was gutted about. I still kept it saved on my Amazon wish list just in case it came back, WHICH IT DID! I was so happy and as soon as I saw it was back up for sale, I made sure to order it. I didn’t want to miss out on it again and for it to be permanent the next time. It arrived a few days later and it’s gorgeous and even better than I thought it was going to be! It’s a lovely vintage brown colour with a picture of a happy Eevee on the front. When you open it up there’s a gorgeous floral pattern inside of the wallet.

This is the same style as my current wallet (which is also by Loungefly) so I can transfer loads of stuff into it easily from my old wallet, which I’ll do as soon as this post is written, as I can’t wait to use it later today! πŸ˜›

So, that was everything I received and even bought for myself. πŸ˜› I loved my birthday this year, even if it did go far too quickly for my liking. I went to town for the afternoon with Dane, went to Ghetto Golf with Dane and friends and went for a meal with Dane after. It wasn’t anything special, but it was good nonetheless.

I don’t quite know what to ask at the end of this post other than, when is your birthday? πŸ˜€ Make sure to let me know!

I hope everyone is ready for the weekend, I know I am! πŸ˜›

Until next time all, have a lovely weekend!

October Wish List ’17

Wow as if it’s October! At this point in time it is now less than 100 days until Christmas… Crazy, huh? I’ll have to start my Christmas shopping VERY soon!

As with my September favourites I’m writing this post before I go on holiday and DAYUM IT’S HARD! I don’t actually know what I have on my wish list right now really… I’m sure I can find some goodies to add to this list, eh? πŸ˜›

EDIT – I soon found stuff that I had forgotten were coming out this month!

  • American Horror Story Collar Dress – Β£41.99 (link)

This is a dress I actually wish I had bought before going on holiday, even though I doubt I would have worn it there. I was eyeing up this dress before I’d even started watching AHS due to the cute Wednesday Addams style to it. From what I’ve seen on images and video this dress looks thick and well worth the money! It’s actually a part of the AHS collection that came out exclusively for Hot Topic, but it would seem that EMP have a partnership (of sorts…) with Hot Topic as they both sometimes stock the same stuff. I’ll be buying this when I’m back from holiday for sure! I’ll love wearing it with my Dr Martens boots and my red coat.

  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Vol. 4 Manga – Β£7.88 (link)

This is one of my favourite mangas that I have discovered (thanks to the anime, which I love just as much!) and I always wait patiently for a new volume of the manga to come out. The next one has come out so quickly and it almost feels like it’s crept up really… Either way I’ll be ordering this when I’m home from my holiday. I need to really catch up with my manga!

  • JennifairyW Flareon and Vaporeon Charms – Β£4.00 each (link) and (link)

After writing my blog post about JennifairyW last month I KNEW I had to add these to my wish list this month. I really want to get at least one of these and I can see me swaying for picking up one each of these two. I’ll probably opt for the Flareon which is sitting down (on the left) and the Vaporeon which is standing up (one on the right). This being said I love both the Vaporeon ones equally! I’ll see how I feel when I’m back from holiday. I may end up leaving some of these as little present ideas for Dane… Christmas is lurking and I know both me and Dane like to get Christmas presents ordered as soon as we can… πŸ˜›

  • Pokemon Indigo League DVD Box Set – Β£39.99 (link)

I know you can watch the Pokemon Indigo League series on Netflix BUT they don’t have all the episodes on there! Well they never when I was watching it anyway… This is a series I have been waiting to buy for years now, so even though I probably won’t pick this up at the end of the month, it’ll definitely be on my Christmas list. πŸ˜› Who can say no to some 90’s/00’s feels? πŸ˜€

  • American Horror Story Evan Tank – Currently Β£14.99 (link)

I mentioned in my September favourites post a couple of days that me and Dane have recently started binge watching AHS and how much we love it. So far my favourite character is Tate from season 1 and to be honest if I can get a t-shirt with his face on, I will! I doubt I’d wear this out though. It’d be for chilling around the house in. I’m not really someone who suits tank tops to be honest. Unless I bought this in a size that’s a bit too big for me and wear it with leggings… Meh I don’t know! We shall see! πŸ˜›

  • South Park: The Fracture But Whole – Β£44.99 (link)

This is a game that I have been so excited for since it was announced in 2015. I’ve been waiting an anxious 2 years for this game and I’m sure twice they’ve delayed it because Matt Stone and Trey Parker weren’t happy with it. I’m glad they’ve not just released the game to keep fans happy. It looks amazing to be fair and I’ll be getting it on the PS4. I’ll definitely be binge playing this like I have been with Persona 5 (which I should have finished by the time this post goes live…).

I know my wish list this month isn’t anything amazing, but I find that one month I want loads of shit and then another month I don’t. I would have added the Dr Martens from last months post here but I can’t really put them in again! πŸ˜› After the holiday I doubt I’ll be buying much for a while. I want to try and save some money for Christmas now.

What items do you have on your wish lists right now? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’ll be back in the UK tomorrow… Sad times. πŸ˜›

Independent Artists I Love! #2 JennifairyW

This is the second post of this series and one I wanted to get written and posted on my blog before I go on holiday! This cute little package arrived a couple of days ago and as soon as I opened it I went straight to the computer to get writing!

So my second post for the series is about the lovely Jenn and her store JennifairyW. I discovered her through Instagram a long time ago whilst I was looking for some Eeveelution related merch. One of her Eeveelution charms popped up on my feed and from there I’ve been lusting ever since for products by her.

She recently announced on her Instagram page that she was doing a seconds sale on her Eevee pin due to the pin having some faults. So she popped the limited amount of stock on the website at half the price and I made sure to snap one up before they sold out! I also took the opportunity to snap up one of the Eeveelution charms that I’ve been lusting after for ages… I now wish I’d bought 2… πŸ˜›

So alongside ordering the Eevee pin, I also ordered one of the two designs of the Espeon charm.

Jenn’s based in Scotland and I only had to wait 4 days from ordering to have them arrive! I wanted to write a review on her Etsy store straight away, but I’m not able to until the 20th and I doubt I’ll be able to that day… We’ll see if I can before I go on holiday!

I love how she packaged my order by popping it into this little packet. The Eevee pin I ordered was also in a little zip lock bag to keep it extra safe.

Alongside with the pin and the charm I ordered you get one of Jenn’s business cards, which is adorable! You also get a little note from Jenn herself and if you can’t quite read mine it says:

Thanks so much for adopting a seconds Eevee. I hope he and the charm make you smile. Come back soon. Jenn x

I think it’s lovely that she pops a personalised message inside her parcels, it’s such a sweet touch and not only did my goodies make me smile, but also the note!

The first thing of the two I’ll talk about is the main reason for my order with Jenn, the cute AF Eevee pin. He’s so teeny and cute and I love it! The basic colour of the metal as you can see is gold, with the standard Eevee colours of light brown, dark brown and cream. The Eevee pins she brought out for her seconds sale are all meant to have not been printed properly by the person she bought/ordered them from. To me my little pin doesn’t appear to have anything wrong with it and even if it does, I love having a pin that isn’t going to be like all the others! I really hope that Jenn brings out the rest of the Eeveelutions designs she has in pin form too!

Ages ago Jenn was on about doing a Kickstarter for some food related pins, I still hope that she does this as it would be amazing! I’d definitely back it. ^_^

The second item I purchased is probably my favourite of the two, purely because I’ve wanted it for so long! As you can see it’s an Espeon charm and I’m so pleased I ordered it when I did as it now appears to be sold out! All of the Eeveelutions she’s drawn so far have 2 different poses, the only one left for Espeon was the standing pose, which I prefer out of the two anyway. It’s so small and cute! It’s only got a design printed on one side but that doesn’t bother me. I didn’t mean to but I scratched a little on the non printed side to see how if the print would scratch off and alas it never. This is a very good sign to me!

I want to get both versions of all of the Eeveelutions to be honest as they’re too cute to choose between the two! I like the Eevee that’s lying down, the Flareon sitting, the Vaporeon standing and the Jolteon that is sitting. Either way I’ll be ordering some more when I’m back from holiday!

Overall I love my goodies from Jenn’s shop and I already know I’ll be buying the other Eeveelution charms from her store when I’m back from holiday! I kind of wish I had ordered more from her to be honest, but with the holiday I wanted to be good.

If you like what Jenn does, then please check out her store as well as all her the social media! I’ll leave all the links below.

A Geeky Collective Haul

I can’t actually remember the last time I wrote a haul post on my blog… A part of me feels like it was May 2016 when I was brought back some stuff from Fuerteventura… *goes to do some research* Okay I tell a lie! The last haul I did was back in October 2016 when I did a haul of what goodies me and Dane picked up from Birmingham’s anime and gaming con (I’ll pop a link here if you want to read that!).

BUT the time has come for yet another haul and a collective one at that! I’ve got stuff in this haul that I’ve picked up for about a month and everything in it is geeky! πŸ˜› I was originally just going to call it a Pokemon haul considering most of the stuff is Pokemon related. But meh I don’t wanna do thaaaaaat! πŸ˜›

  • Loungefly x Pokemon Tattoo Flash Print Duffle Bag.

This is definitely one of my favourite buys of 2017 so far and it’s a bag I have wanted for quite some time now! Everyone I know knows how much I love Pokemon so to be able to own a grown up handbag makes me happy. That and I also love the products that Loungefly come out with. I own a couple of their items and they’re all amazing. I didn’t buy this brand new from the website however, I’d need to take out a loan. πŸ˜› I got this second hand from an eBay seller in the UK and it’s in great condition for how much I paid for it. It’s pretty much my anniversary present from Dane. I bought my bag and he bought himself something for the computer. So an all around win win situation! πŸ˜› FYI I will be doing a post about this bag properly VERY soon! I’m too excited not to show it off on my blog. πŸ˜›

  • Nendoroid Gumi.

FYI I was too excited about displaying her to wait a week to take pictures for this post, so I do apologise for all sorts of pictures… πŸ˜› This was another eBay purchase and one I am so damn happy with! I have wanted the Gumi Nendoroid for as long as I can remember, but the problem was being able to find her at a decent price! Due to her being a Vocaloid and her being made and released back in 2013 it makes her rare I suppose and she can be pricey to pick up. Someone had her up on eBay for bidding and I JUST won the bid! She’s second hand but I don’t care. She’s been very much looked after and loved so that doesn’t bother me too much! She’s going to go on display next to Deadpool in our Nendoroid cupboard.

  • Pokemon Center Eevee Collection Poke Dolls Vaporeon and Sylveon Pin Badges.

This was a random purchase and one I am SO glad I made now! YY Kawaii was advertising that she had some of the Eevee pin badges for sale and at the time I thought this was the only bit of merch I was going to snag from this amazing collection. Honestly this is the second Eeveelution collection I have bought from now and it is just as good as the last one. ANYWAY! I couldn’t decide on one Eeveelution so I picked two of my favourites, Vaporeon and Sylveon. In my opinion Sylveon looks the cutest out of all 9 for the pin badges! I have contemplated popping these on my Pokemon bag… But we shall see! πŸ˜› I’m not 100% sure if YY Kawaii has anymore of these left to sell, I ordered mine with her over a month ago now sadly. You can always drop her a message and I’m sure she’ll be more than happy to help! If anything I regret not buying all of the Eeveelutions to be honest… But we can still try. πŸ˜›

  • Pokemon Center Eevee Collection Poke Dolls Flareon Plushie.

This is definitely something I am SO HAPPY TO HAVE! If there was one thing I really wanted from this collection it was a plushie as they’re all so cute. I knew I couldn’t have all of them and my only option was going to be to pick up one. I then had the hard choice of picking just one, JUST ONE! Do you know how hard that can be? Well I ended up picking Flareon as I found it was the cutest one out of the bunch. Then after settling on one I wanted it was time to find someone who was willing to sell it at a decent price. Again YY Kawaii came to my rescue and sold this little cutie to me at a great price! It’s so fluffy and now lives with the rest of my Eeveelution plushies in the living room, it makes Β me so happy. A part of me doesn’t want to keep this in the cupboard with all the others, but on the fireplace next to my Vaporeon and Flareon picture and figures… I want it to be safe away from direct sunlight though… 😦

  • Tamagotchi 4U.

This is something I’ve wanted for a while after watching a couple of YouTubers I follow talk about them. These are only made in Japan and therefore are only available from there. I got this from a seller in the UK so it’s secondhand. I think it’s only had one or two owners which isn’t a bad thing! It wasn’t exactly cheap for what it is but it cost me less to actually buy this than our up to date Tamagotchi here in the UK! It’s a colour screen and sadly is ALL in Japanese. With a bit of Googling I’ve managed to work out what stuff means on here. The only problem I’m having with it so far is trying to work out how to keep my Tamagotchi alive whilst I’m at work… But that’s what the babysitter is for. Yeah there’s a babysitter in the game. πŸ˜› Sadly when it came to taking pictures of my Tamagotchi it was telling me how the batteries were dead. Fuck sake. πŸ˜› SO I attached a picture I took the day after I got it. πŸ™‚

  • Primark Pokemon Pyjamas.

I wanted to get myself some new pyjamas due to the weather getting warmer and I thought why not get some Pokemon ones! I had to pick these up from eBay as 1. I don’t really get near a Primark store these days due to how busy I am and 2. They probably don’t stock these anymore. I didn’t pay much for them and let me tell you, they are hella comfortable! After getting the ones from eBay I ended up buying more when visiting an actual Primark store recently. I ended up buying a Pokemon pyjama top as well as some Pikachu shorts. The first set is from eBay and the second is from where I went into an actual Primark store instead of paying extra and being a busy/lazy bitch. πŸ˜› I decided to go a size up when buying all of these and whilst I don’t consider myself to be a skinny moo, these are HUGE on me, especially the second set I bought. This isn’t a bad thing as it means that I’ll be comfortable, but i’m just saying it as it’s something to be wary of. I also picked up some Pikachu boyfriend boxers too but I don’t need to show them off.

So those are all the geeky goodies I picked up over the past month. I have bought a lot and thus spent a lot of money… *smacks hand* NAUGHTY NAT! YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE SAVING MONEY! No in all honesty though, a lot of this stuff to me felt like things that if I left them I probably wouldn’t get them again for a while, or at the price I paid. Examples of that being the Loungefly x Pokemon bag, the Tamagotchi (which I have discovered eat batteries like a motherfucker!), Gumi Nendoroid figure and possibly the Pokemon Center goodies too… So practically most of the shit on this haul. xD

For the rest of this month and well, until the holiday in September I’m going to be as good as I can with my cash! It’s now time to stop being daft and spending my money willy nilly and save it towards the holiday, as well as things for the house! Yesterday I bought some flowers for the garden, which is really exciting! I can’t wait for our house to be 100% done so that I can show off my favourite parts of it to you guys!

SO what items have you accumulated recently? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week so far!

YY Kawaii iPhone 6 Case – Review

 photo Photo 27-09-2016 16 42 32_zpsoptmew55.jpg

Oh boy have I been excited to write this review! For quite a long time I have wanted a custom case for my iPhone (both the 5 and the 6) from the amazing YY Kawaii store!

The store has been open on Etsy since 2012 and is still going strong. I browse the store every other month and I can easily tell that it has gained interest through the amount of activity on its Instagram page. It is based in the UK and it’s become very popular with lovers of anime from all over the world.

As I mentioned before I had wanted a customised case from YY Kawaii for as long as I can remember but every time I settled on what I wanted I also thought, “Meh better save my money.”

Recently they posted something for sale on their Instagram page which I messaged them straight away about. We discussed the item in particular and how I could have it on a phone case and a couple of weeks later my case had arrived and I was using it on my phone. So I thought I would be pretty cool to write a review about it, as well as my experience with buying a custom case from YY Kawaii.

The first thing I will say is how lovely and friendly the seller is. I don’t actually know her name otherwise I would call her by that. Sorry. 😦 I approached her about the design I wanted to get and even though she had stated on Instagram that she was going to bed she messaged me back straight away. Half an hour later we had agreed on a design and a payment had been sent.

There are various ways you can customise your case including the colour of the whip, if you want to add extra figures to the case, the type of case, etc. I like how you can really create something unique, which is what I think is one of the best things about YY Kawaii.

When creating my case I was shown what it would look like before the whip was applied (it acts like a glue to hold everything together) and I wasn’t keen on a bow that the seller had added to the design, so she changed it for a macaroon for me!

Money wise I will say that these cases are quite pricey for what they are in my opinion for various reasons… But they’re nice as a treat. Of course I will get into why I think they’re pricey…

As you can see I went for a case with a Pokemon card on, the card obviously being a Flareon, the fire evolution of Eevee. Regular readers of my blog will know I am a huge Pokemon nerd and that the Eeveelutions are my favourites (alongside Mew, Cubone and Ampharos).

Beforehand I had wanted a case with an Eevee and Mew figure on… But I sadly changed my mind due to money and other reasons. If any cute figures of these two go up for grabs via Instagram in the future I may ask to have a jewellery box made up instead.

I waited what felt like forever for this to be made and arrive and I was so excited when it did! It came in a little purple pouch and even included some Love Hearts sweets, which I gave to Dane as I’m not a fan of them.

After wresting to take my Mew phone case off I finally managed to get my Flareon one on and to be honest I loved it but I had a few mixed feelings about it. My Mew case is very sturdy as it’s built to protect your phone from bumps, scratches and especially from the screen smashing. Due to this the Mew one feels good to hold. Sadly although the Flareon case looks beautiful it doesn’t feel like it’s going to prevent my phone from getting damaged if I accidentally drop it.

When taking the case on and off my phone I worry various times that it might crack on the sides. This has happened to phone cases I have owned in the past, which is a shame. I didn’t realise at the time of ordering my case that you could pay extra to have a more secure feeling to it… If I’d have known I would have upgraded to that.

The case is really easy to put onto the phone as it just clips into place but taking it off is a bit of a struggle. I guess it means it’s secure and won’t fall off or break off easily, which is nice really. I guess I just want to be able to take it off just as quickly and easily as it takes to put it on.

Another issue I have encountered is putting it down on a surface (a table being a good example). It’s not exactly easy to lie the phone down on its back when it’s covered in bits and pieces. So sadly I’ve had to place the phone on the screen… Which isn’t nice to think about as I constantly worry it’ll get scratched! Also because of how chunky this case is you can’t put it in your pocket as easily.

Although I love this phone case and have so far used it a handful of times, I don’t like leaving it on my phone. I much prefer to use my Mew phone case.

The YY Kawaii cases are gorgeous and I love mine to bits, but they aren’t practical at all. I don’t know if it’s my age, my job, or just because of the phone case I have had for so long being so good but I guess my excitement for this case has been let down because of its impracticality.

In total this cost me Β£18 for the case and Β£4.50 for the postage. As I said, not cheap but nice if you want something unique, different and eye catching. If anything these are great for presents for Christmas and birthday as you can really put a lot of thought and effort into making a friend or loved one a more personal gift.

It has been made beautifully and I really do love and appreciate that. I feel like I’m sounding as if I’m bashing YY Kawaii but I’m really not! Their cases are gorgeous and hell I would gladly buy another one but they aren’t cheap and as I said they are great as a treat, or even as a gift. I do put it down to me being in my late 20’s and in a job where I don’t get to have my phone on me to show it off and due to that it does suck.

If you love anything cute and kawaii then definitely give YY Kawaii a look over on their Etsy page! They don’t just make phone cases, they’ll also customise cases for laptops, iPads, mirrors, jewellery boxes, etc. I know I would love to get a mirror and box made by them in the future. Their pieces are unique and beautiful and there is nowhere else on the market that will make products like this as good as YY Kawaii do.

What do you think of the Flareon phone case I had made? Would you use it or not? Make sure to let me know your opinions in the comments below.

Until next time take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

A Japanese Haul – Pokemon Time Eievui Collection

This is a nerdy post today, and one I have been so excited to write too! These only arrived yesterday morning, but due to being away from home, I only got the chance a few hours ago to open these. Yes, this haul may be a bit quick to talk about, but it’s totally worth it.

Japan Loot is a website set up by the YouTuber Japanese Toy Collector who after reviewing certain toys from Japan, will put them up on the website to sell to people. How awesome is that? Of course when he reviewed some Eeveelution plushies, I knew I had to pick up the Eevee one, and I still love it to this day. Something I noticed about this seller, is how cheap he was selling certain items for in comparison to some websites and stores out there.

When he made a video about one of the items from the Eievui Collection, I just had to drop him an email and ask if he would be able to get anymore and sell those to me. Of course, he did and here I have a few little bits that I asked him to grab for me!

I only asked for three things, although I could have asked for a hell of aΒ  lot more! I do have my eye on the cute little plushies, but I’ll be good. I don’t need them… πŸ˜›

My package arrived in less than a week, which is amazing considering where it traveled from! I was delighted when I opened it to find this yellow bag, an official Pokemon Center bag! I’m going to make sure to cherish this until I can one day go to the store myself.

The three things I picked up was an iPhone 6 cover which as you can see is covered in all the Eeveelutions, a Vaporeon mobile phone strap, and a blind bag t-shirt. As I said previously, I do wish I had bought more!

In August I’ll be able to pick up a new phone, and of course I’ll be opting for the iPhone 6. I’ve had so many problems with my iPhone 5 that I just want a new phone now, that is MINE and not a refurbished one. So I decided I would treat myself to a case, one I know I’ll use loads and love just as much. I’ve been after a phone case that stands out for ages and in so many ways, this one will turn heads. Especially heads of Pokemon nerds like myself. Although it says it’s a soft case, it’s pretty durable and will keep your phone safe as well as looking cute! I really can’t wait to get an iPhone 6 now so I can put this on it. I mean, look how cute the different Eeveelutions are on it. As you can see all of them are separated, but at times are all together too, and have been paired together depending on what gen they’re from. It’s just an awesome pattern and is all over the collections print.

I have always wanted one of the mobile phone ear jack straps from the Pokemon Center, but until now I have never taken the plunge to pick one up. However, I couldn’t resist this cute little Vaporeon (probably my favourite Eeveelution!) This little guy is adorable and is also tiny! That doesn’t bother me though. The way these straps work is you plug it into your phone (or any other device such as 3Ds, or tablet) and it’ll dangle and be a little companion for your phone. BUT you can also use this as a little keyring for your keys, or as a little charm for your bag. I will probably use this on my phone but due to the possibilities this has, I may also pop it onto my car keys. I have a little Levi (from Attack on Titan) keyring on there so he could do with a friend. πŸ˜› I don’t have pictures of it because I only noticed it when I opened the packaging, but you see the card behind the strap? The other side of that has such a cute picture of Vaporeon on it!

Finally we have the purchase I was most excited about! The blind bag t-shirts. These sold out super quickly in the Pokemon Center’s and it took the seller a couple of visits to finally pick one up for me. Due to how rare these are, sellers are charging people through the teeth for these, which is just greedy! I was pretty lucky that I got mine for a decent price! Due to these being blind bagged, you don’t know which one you’ll get. I did have a few in mind that I was hoping to get. Either Eevee, Vaporeon, Flareon, Umbreon, or Sylveon. But this being said, I would have been happy with any! These t-shirts also come in a free size, which in Japan is a size L, probably a M male, L female in the UK. The t-shirt fits me really nicely and I’m so relieved, as I did worry it would be too small.

So I’m sure you’re all curious which one I got?

I GOT FLAREON! I’m really pleased with this for various reasons. Flareon is awesome, and I love wearing the colour red. I say it’s red, it’s more of an orange red, which is still awesome! One thing I noticed about this t-shirt when I tried it on was how it smelt. It smells like green tea matcha powder, which I love! I don’t know if this is intentional and even if it isn’t, it’s still awesome.

I’m so pleased with this t-shirt. It’s made of 100% cotton and the quality of it is amazing for how much they were selling for in Japan. I really want to buy another and depending how much I spend in London, will depend if I pick another up or not.

I’m going to be wearing this for Hyper Japan with my ripped skinny fits. I can’t wait!

So that was my haul from Japan. I want to thank the seller over at Japan Loot for grabbing these awesome items for me, I’m so happy with them and especially happy with how quick they arrived. He’s an awesome seller and I recommend you check his store and YouTube channel out. The links are at the start of the post.

Are you a Pokemon nerd like me? Have you ever wanted anything from the Pokemon Center? If so, make sure to let me know in the comments!

I’ve been so excited to write this post, and I hope my readers will enjoy it too.

Until next time all, take care and see you soon.
