29th Birthday Wish List

Well, it’s my last year in my 20’s after tomorrow and I don’t know how I feel about it yet, for various reasons. I guess when you have your birthday right after the New Year has started, you already feel like you need to make sure the year goes off with a bang, or you’ll just feel shit. This being said I don’t want to do a whole lot for my 29th… Why would I? My 30th is being saved up for all the fun times. 😛

I do have plans to go to Ghetto Golf with Dane and some friends for my birthday, which I’m excited for. It’ll be something nice and chill to do and I’m sure me and Dane will go for a meal afterwards too.

But for now before everything kicks off over the weekend, I thought I’d bring a post early this morning about items on my 29th birthday wish list. I doubt very much I have any of these things for my birthday and I’m fine with that. I honestly struggled to get this list together, but eventually I came up with loads of ideas. These will probably end up becoming gifts for myself in all honesty. 😛

See, this is the problem when you have your birthday right after Christmas. Making lists like this is pretty hard to do. 😛

But oh well, it’s only a wish list so let’s get on with it!

  • Killstar Trash Talk Jeans – (link)

These jeans are amazing and a style I’ve been after for the longest time! I probably would have ordered them in the sales but I was a tad on the worried side about sizing… I’d want to pick up the largest size possible to ensure that they fit me. Meh I don’t know, I’ll have a think about picking these up. If any stores have them in stock I would be there in a heartbeat to go and try them on!

  • Vans Checkerboard Classic Slip-On Shoes in Black and White – (link)

A shoe brand I have loved for over 10 years now is Vans. I bought my first pair when I was 16 and shortly after that I bought a pair of checkerboard ones in black and red. I remember seeing them online, but I couldn’t find them anywhere in Birmingham town centre. Eventually I found them in the Oasis Market and have loved them since then. Sadly the past few years they’ve been unwearable. They’re just that old. I don’t really need a new pair of Vans, but I would like an upgrade. I remember always wanting a pair of these when I was 15, so I’ll finally pick some up for myself tomorrow. 😛

  • Killstar Hades Skater Dress – (link)

This was a dress I planned on ordering in the sales, but I left it… Reason being that I wanted clothes that would be more appropriate for general and for work… Of course this wasn’t good for the latter! This is something I’d definitely love to pick up in the future as it looks so different! This being said, I think I’d be wary of picking it up in case it didn’t suit me. We’ll see what sales hold for it in the future!

  • Persona 4 Manga Vol. 2, 3 and 4 – (link), (link) and (link)

My best friend Gabriella bought me Vol. 1 of this manga for my Christmas/birthday last year and I’m so glad she did as I’ve honestly fallen in love with the manga and keep craving to read more! I can never find this in stores to buy on 3 for 2 offers you find in Forbidden Planet’s. I have quite a bit of manga I need to catch up on at the moment, so I intend to have a good reading session over the weekend and when I have spare cash, I’ll continue to read Persona 4!

  • Nintendo Switch Taiko No Tatsujin Collectors Edition Game – (link)

This is something that I actually thought Dane might have bought me for Christmas and a small fraction thought he may have for my birthday too, but I highly doubt the latter is the case now. It’s not cheap, as you’ll see if you follow the link… It’s almost £100… OUCH! I tried the demo of this game and rather liked how it played, as well as the look of it. I’d want to play it on the drum however, as I feel like it would make it more fun to play! Even if I don’t get this collectors edition in future, I definitely want to pick up the game! 😀

  • Killstar Cursula Velvet Flats – (link)

Finally we have some more shoes. I really want to invest in a nice pair of flat shoes for work and general and although I’d seen a few I rather like the look of, I REALLY love these! They’re a velvet look to them with mermaid scales etched in. These would be great to have for work throughout every season, and especially nights out for drinks as they’re smart casual. They’re not cheap however, so I’d wait for sales again.

So as short as this wish list is, that’s all the items on my 29th birthday wish list! I would have added a Nendoroid but I honestly can’t think of any that I would have received… Is that weird? xD

Even a monthly wish list this month would have been super boring! By the way, those will resume as normal on the 3rd February.

How’s 2019 going for you so far? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Wish List Wednesday – Work/Office Wear

I don’t feel like I’ve done a wish list Wednesday for ages and I’ve really missed doing it! Expect loads with Christmas coming up, as I’ll be working on present ideas for all sorts, which I should be teaming up with Sarah over at Raiin Monkey to do some posts on!

With my new job I recently went on a mini shopping trip to pick up some bits and pieces as I had pretty much sod all! You can read about what I picked up here. I’m already craving some new pieces though and I won’t be able to grab anything for a while, so I thought I would take the opportunity to do a wish list of what goodies I want.

  • New Look Black Velvet Skater Skirt – £12.99 (link)

On my recent haul I picked up the normal black skater skirt and it’s so comfortable so now I want the velvet version! It’ll definitely be really nice to wear throughout the winter, especially with a nice mustard jumper and a red shirt. It’s also a really decent price too, which you can’t moan about!

  • Killstar Wicca Flats – £44.99 (link)

I don’t really need a new pair of flats as I have a pretty much brand new pair that I bought for my graduation 2 years ago! Now I wear them for work and they’re okay, but they’re not the best to be honest. They’re a little bit too big for me and I can’t drive in them. I want a new pair of flats to just wear casually anyway in and outside of work and I’ve had my eyes on these for a while! I won’t be paying full price for them as for flats they’re really expensive, but if they’re on offer I’ll soon pick them up.

  • Her Universe Studio Ghibli Kiki’s Delivery Service Jiji & Lili Town Pattern Blouse – $44.90, currently $35.92 (link)

This is a brand I’ve recently discovered and it’s so damn amazing! I’d know about it through Hot Topic for a while but never realised it was a brand until I was gathering items for this post. It was actually Vikki over at Cuteek who linked me to Her Universe when I was asking on Twitter about work clothing. There really are some great pieces for work on the website and I wish I could afford this shirt right now. One day it WILL be mine! It’s part of the Studio Ghibli designs and this one is of the cats Jiji and Lili Town from Kiki’s Delivery Service. This was one of the first Studio Ghibli movies I watched so I have a place in my heart for Kiki and Jiji. This shirt would be really nice to wear with a black skater skirt and boots.

  • Killstar Santeria Distress Knit Tunic – £49.99, currently £24.99 (link)

Another Killstar item and this one is a knitted tunic. Killstar do gothic pieces, some of them can definitely be wearable and this is one of them. It’s just a basic tunic pretty much but it looks so snug and comfortable! I’d team it with leggings and boots or flats. I wish I could grab it whilst it’s on sale, but sadly I doubt I’ll be able to. This being said though, this has been on sale for quite some time, so fingers crossed! My only concern with this is I would worry the knit wouldn’t feel nice to the touch, I’d hate that so much!

  • EMP Jawbreaker Fishnet Collar Dress – £41.99 (link)

This dress is so expensive and it makes my bank account hurt. BUT it’s also gorgeous and definitely the style I’ve been after for my new job… Just with normal sleeves instead of fishnet. I’m not going to complain though as it’s gorgeous! I will wait for it to drop in price though as for what it is, nearly £42 is a bit too much for my liking, but again when this goes in the sale I’ll definitely pick it up!

  • Hot Topic Her Universe Studio Ghibli Spirited Away Confetti Wrap Dress – $49.90, currently $39.92 (link)

Another Studio Ghibli piece by Her Universe and it’s one I would love to have for work! My favourite Studio Ghibli film and one of my favourite films is Spirited Away so anything to do with that film is always something I want to own if I can. I’d love to be able to own a dress with Haku on as he’s my favourite, but I love No Face just as much! Like the Kiki’s Delivery shirt, it would be lovely to be able to wear a piece like this for work and on days off to show my love of the Studio Ghibli movies.

  • Sainsbury’s TU Navy Checked Print Wide Leg Trousers – £20.00 (link)

I actually came across these on one of my work breaks last week! I was looking for some plain t-shirts to pick up for work as Sainbury’s do some really nice ones for good prices! Instead I ended up finding these tartan looking trousers, which are wide leg. They’re elasticated like the houndstooth ones I picked up from New Look, so I definitely need them in my life! I’d team these with a cream or mustard yellow jumper.

So those are the pieces I’ve been eyeing up to buy for work! I know it sounds incredibly sad, but I’m still so happy with my new job and I know it’s going to be so dangerous now I can wear my own uniform! I can wear nice clothes, so it’s going to be a constant excuse for me to buy a pretty dress. 😛

Do you work in an office? If so where do you get your pieces for work? Please leave me links below as I would love some ideas of where to shop for things!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you week is going well!

August ’16 Wish List

Ha I don’t know why I’m writing a wish list when I have no money to buy anything! I guess that is why it’s called a wish list. 😉 Either way I love making wish lists and skint or not I’m not going to stop making them anytime soon! This one has a couple of home related things on, woohoo.

  • Pusheen Handbag Mirror – £6.99 (link)

Recently I broke my handbag mirror, which I was really sad about considering it was a fox one. The mirror has broken in half and it’s currently awkward as hell to apply anything through it. I love Pusheen, have done for years so I am so damn glad that the merchandise is becoming easier to buy in the UK now.

  • Topshop Vinnie Mouse Shoes – £18.00 (link)

I only discovered these today thanks to the Instagram Disney Find! I would like some new flats as the majority of mine are all tattered and old, and who can say no to a cute pair like this that look like Mickey or Minnie Mouse? These aren’t cheap, but Topshop shoes are great quality and I don’t mind paying these sort of prices. I also love how they’re pointed, as I love pointed flats.

  • Deadpool Lanyard – £8.99 (link)

It’s not news that I love Deadpool, so whenever I see Deadpool goodies I want to buy them all! I would like a lanyard for work so I can keep my card on it, as well as my locker key. I don’t know when I’ll pick one of these up, but I intend to as soon as I can really. Can make sure I look cool at work! 😛

  • Marks & Spencer Tailored Fit Boxy Checkered Shirt -£25.00 (link)

I eyed this up recently when I was in M&S and it is beautiful! I think they have their autumn range in stores already going by all the darker colours, and knitwear that they have out for sale at the moment. I love checkered shirts and have gone through many in the past. This one so far has one negative review, so it’d definitely be something I would try on before I buy! I may have to look into picking this up for when September comes with its autumn weather. It would look great with a pair of jeans, or a skirt.

  • Pusheen Round Mug -£7.99 (link)

I think I have already mentioned my love of Pusheen, and it isn’t that I need anymore mugs, as I have loads (mostly Disney ones…) but how can I say no to this Pusheen mug? I know a few people I follow on Instagram who have this mug and it just looks so damn cute! I think I may need to treat myself to this in the future, as it would be lovely to have hot chocolates in with marshmallows and cream!

  • Maybelline Baby Lips Pop Art in Blueberry Boom -£2.99 (link)

I have two out of the three from this collection (you can check out the review for Grapefruit Zing here) so why not get this one too? That and I love blueberry so it’d be silly for me not to pick this up. I can’t find it in stores ANYWHERE so I don’t know if this is an online exclusive. I’ll be making sure to order it in the future, I don’t want to let this one slip through my fingers.

  • Disney Animator’s Collection Princess Mug – £8.99 (link)

I have been waiting for the new Animator Collection to come out in the UK for a couple of weeks now and it has slowly started to make its way over here. YAY! I don’t need anymore mugs, but I love this one. The Princess’s as little toddlers are so damn cute! My favourite one is Pocahontas as she is so damn adorable looking! I’ll probably pick this up too at some point. ^_^

So that is my wish list for August! I need to be good this month as I have spent way too much money lately. I’ll be spending the majority of the month in the house playing games and tidying our things away. Yay!

What do you have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and see you soon!
