August Wish List ’17

Another month, another wish list. Bloody hell I haven’t even started editing the image for this year and I don’t have a clue what to put on it! I know I’ll think of some stuff to shove on there though… 😛

My holiday will soon be in less than a months time and I don’t know if stuff on this list will be to do with that or not… Possibly… Highly likely. I want to pick up a few bits and pieces before we go and I’m thinking of doing that this month so whatever earnings I pick up in September, they’ll be strictly for the holiday!

Anyway enough of me waffling on (as per usual…), let’s get on with the wish list!

  • Star Wars Medium-Length Collar Jyn Dress – £32.99 (link)

I recently found this in EMP’s autumn magazine. FYI EMP is an alternative and geeky store online that specialises in clothing for men and women, as well as other things. I’ve been looking at loads of their clothes lately and been a fan of so much stuff, but I’m in love with this Star Wars dress that’s inspired by Jyn Erso from Rogue One. I’m not a massive fan of dresses with no sleeves but this one will be great to wear in the summer on warm evenings and in the winter with a thermal underneath or a long sleeved t-shirt. I mostly love that it has a hood on it as it’d be great to wear throughout the winter due to that. It’s not a bad price considering that it’s branded and Star Wars! I may get it for the holiday… We shall see. 😛

  • Attitude Clothing Purple Jelly Heart Choker – Was £10.99 Now £5.50 (link)

I’ve wanted a heart choker for as long as I can remember now but I’ve never found a decent one that I like the look of. Whilst browsing around Attitude Clothing’s website I found this (and the holographic one) in their sale. I don’t actually know if a choker would suit me. Not like this anyway! I love that it has a buckle to fasten it instead of poppers. For just over £5.00 I’d like to think this is a bargain to discover if it’ll suit me or not. I’d probably wear this/these on holiday in the evenings when dressing up and going out for drinks.

  • Good Smile Company Persona 5 Morgana Nendoroid – £44.99 (link)

I feel like me and Dane haven’t bought a Nendoroid for ages… Well aside from Dane ordering Elric brothers recently from Good Smile’s official website. I want to order Morgana as soon as I can, because if you’re not a regular reader you won’t know how much I love Persona 5. 😛 I LOVE IT TO THE MOON AND BACK AND TO THE  MOON AGAIN! So of course I need to add Morgana to our Nendoroid collection. 😛

  • Killstar Phaedra Skater Dress – £39.99 (link)

This is number one on my wish list right now and it will be until I buy it! I don’t know whether I’ll buy it this month or next but I’ll be definitely picking it up before the holiday. It’s a gorgeous skater dress with a mermaid scale print on it. It reminds me of the Black Milk Clothing mermaid print that started off the trend of people dressing as mermaids. 😛 I also love the slight bondage style look on the back in a star/pentagram shape. I’d rock this so much and yes it’s not cheap, but I haven’t bought myself a new dress since Christmas so I’d love to pick myself up something new.

  • Attitude Clothing Hologram Heart Ring Choker – Was £12.99 Now £6.50 (link)

I’ve wanted a heart choker for as long as I can remember now but I’ve never found a decent one that I like the look of. Whilst browsing around Attitude Clothing’s website I found this (and the purple jelly one) in their sale. I’m a massive hologram/holographic fan and I’m sure if I like this one or the purple jelly more… I’m thinking the latter though! We shall see…

  • Sixtyseven Silver Tone Holographic Sliders – £12.99 (link)

I’ve actually ordered these now ready for holiday BUT before ordering them I hadn’t really found a pair of sliders that I liked the look of. I knew I wanted some holographic ones but wherever I looked they were either overpriced or look fugly. These ones aren’t only “designer” but also a decent price and look awesome! I cannot wait for them to arrive to try them on. I’ll wear them throughout the day and maybe in the evening depending.

  • Killstar Salem Choker – £17.99 (link)

I know that this choker looks very bondage, S&M, sexual, etc etc. BUT I think it looks cute and sexy all the same! I could see me wearing this one more than the purple and holographic heart chokers from Attitude Clothing. This would obviously be a piece of “jewellery” to wear in the evenings and with any grunge style clothing! I really want to pick it up for the holiday too. It’d look amazing with the mermaid dress! 😀

So that’s my wish list for this month. I’m trying to save my money though this month, pretty much all I’ll buy is a dress or two for the holiday, a choker and a bikini. I can’t wait for my holiday! I just want some new bits and pieces to wear there… And here of course!

What do you have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re as excited for the rest of the month as I am.

The Bloggers Parlour Summer Scoop Party!

 photo Photo 30-06-2016 1 25 08 pm_zpsjkkaicp8.jpg

A couple of Thursday’s ago I attended one of The Bloggers Parlour events, which I had been excited for for agggges! I had made sure to book a day off work so I could attend the event, and it really was worth booking off, as I had such a lovely time.

For anyone who doesn’t know about The Bloggers Parlour, I thought I would let you know a little bit about it. They’re a Birmingham based company that has been created by Abbigayle, who was previously organising Birmingham events for bloggers. So she decided to come up with The Bloggers Parlour, which is designed purely for bloggers, and bringing them together to meet, and work with one another, as well as companies. It’s a great blogging company, and Abbigayle is such a lovely person!

This was their Summer Scoop Party, and from the invitation it was going to be all fun and games, whilst networking with fellow bloggers! I couldn’t wait.

The event lasted two hours, even though it felt longer than that. I’m going to say it now, and it is the only negative I had about the whole event, and that was how damn rude people seemed to me who had told Abbigayle that they would turn up, and never did. Reasons or not, it seemed disrespectful to me. Abbigayle organised an amazing event, and I just want to thank her now to allowing me to attend. I really do hope to attend more of her events in the future. ^_^

 photo Photo 30-06-2016 1 24 58 pm_zpstk5ezdmo.jpg

BUT onto how awesome the event was! Abbigayle had loads planned for us, including some games, as well as some food.

There was a spread put on for us, even though we only seemed to eat the Oreo’s and the doughnuts, both were really yummy!

As well as yummy food, there were of course some sponsors at the event, and they were all lovely to talk to.

Duccio Knightsbridge is a fashion store that specialises in leather, and the one thing everyone at the event loved was these cute little chihuahua keyrings, and we all received one in our goody bags! I wish I could have got the dark purple shake skin one, but I got a gold one. I wasn’t a huge fan of the goods on offer, as it’s not really my sort of thing, but the keyrings were adorable!

Become Maya is owned by a lovely lady who has designed hair products to help with curly locks stop become more manageable! Although I don’t have curly hair, the product interested me, and she gave me a pot to take home to try. As of yet I haven’t had time to give it a go, but I really hope to soon!

FYFO was one of the two stalls I was interested the most, purely because of shoes, and they had some gorgeous ones on display! A couple of their pieces stood out to me the most, first of all the bag in the image above is by a brand called Lemon Jelly, and all their pieces smell of lemons! I want one of their pieces based off of that alone. 😛 As well as that they had a pair of Irregular Choice shoes, and of course they are known for their unique and quirky designs, these flamingo ones being very quirky!

Finally I get to talk about my favourite stall at the event, which was Ross & Ross, a fine food company that specifies in meat! They sell kits where you can create your own bacon, and smoked salmon, which I thought sounded great! As well as that they sell spices, and jams that you can use on all sorts of meats to make them taste better! Me and Dane love to cook and I really wanted to buy some there and then, but sadly I wasn’t able to. These all tasted amazing, and I could have eaten more. 😉

SO onto the activities and games we got to take part in during the event! We got to make some ice creams, have some of the yummy food, take part in competitions to try and win prizes, and my favourite, playing chubby bunny! I had always wanted to play it and I managed to get to 9! OMG! AMAZING!

I did of course leave the event with a goody bag, but I have decided to leave going through that for another post!

Overall, I loved this event, and I wish it could have lasted longer, and more people come to it so I could have networked with more people. I did however FINALLY get to meet Kirsty, as well as meeting the lovely Layla, whose blog I have fallen in love with.

I really hope to attend more The Blogger Parlour events in the future! It isn’t just a Birmingham thing by the way, so please make sure to check them out, where ever you are from!

Have you attended any good blog events recently? If so, make sure to tell me about them in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a great weekend.

Disney x Vans 101 Dalmatians Collection

2015 has been a pretty exciting year shoes wise. Dr Martens (Adventure Time) and Vans (Disney) both brought out two exciting collections for spring and summer, and then they did it all over again for autumn and winter. Of course I got some Jake Dr Martens boots (post about that here) and I missed out on the first Disney collection  in the hopes that another would come out, and that waiting sure did pay off.

As soon as the 101 Dalmatians collection was released I made a blog post about it (you can read that here) over a month ago now and as soon as the collection came out I made sure to order myself a pair of the shoes. I wish I could have ordered more but with me watching my money, and Christmas around the corner, I knew I could wait.

I don’t want to call this post a review, as it isn’t. But since wearing them for the first time the weekend I will be talking about them a little. Vans don’t need review to be honest. They’re some of the best shoes around and considering I have been rocking Vans for nearly 10 years now, I can safely say they’re my favourite too.

The packaging for the shoes themselves is really simple, but also pretty and it has silhouettes of all the Disney characters to feature in the collection. This is how I knew that Vans would be releasing a 101 Dalmatians collection, as you can see the puppies dotted all over the box, as well as the Cheshire Cat, and the monkey from The Jungle Book… I’m going to be honest, I don’t know his name.

As you can see from the first picture in this post, the shoes themselves are the usual lace up slip on shoes that Vans are known for. I’ve never owned a lace up pair before, so these were a first for me. They felt odd at first when I wore them around the house, and initially tried them on, but after a while I soon got used to them. I know with my Star Wars Vans I found them incredibly uncomfortable at first, same with my first pair of slip on shoes too from Vans and they dug into my ankles. However, walking around Wolverhampton in these all day didn’t cause me any issues at all, and I was pleasantly surprised.

The design on these is just so adorable, and I couldn’t stop looking at them whenever I was walking anywhere. I know that sounds really odd, but the design just makes me so happy! I intend to wear these on holiday next week (I can’t believe it is nearly less than a week away!) and I hope to rock them both in the day, as well as in the evening.

The detail that has gone into these shoes is amazing though. On each pair there is a different puppy gnawing on a Vans shoe. I couldn’t believe it and searched each shoe for either the same design, or the opposite. It’s just an awesome thing, and it makes me smile even more when I look at the shoes.

May I add that these aren’t cheap, but they are so worth the money! £52.00 will buy you these awesome shoes, and if you’re a student you’ll get 10% off, which is what I did so they only cost me £46.80. Postage was free too, so I snapped a good bargain, if I don’t say so myself.

I picked them up 48 hours before the release date due to being part of the Vans newsletter, which was pretty cool… But these didn’t get shipped to me until they were made available for the general public, which annoyed me to be honest. I thought the 48 hours would have been for said people to get the shoes earlier. Delivery wise with it, I was really disappointed and whilst I will order from Vans online again, it has put me off bothering with their exclusive time deals in the future.

These are now for sale in Schuh, which I would have bought them from originally if they had of stocked them at the time. Next time I’ll be going to them if I fancy the other pair of shoes, and the backpack as they’re just more reliable. This being said, I will probably just pop into the Vans store in Birmingham, as they’re awesome in there for customer service!

Overall I’m in love with these so far, as I can’t wait to rock them on my holiday, as well as more in the future!

Will you be picking up any of the new Disney x Vans collection? If so, what do you have your eyes on? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you all had a great weekend. I’m poorly at the moment so I’m staying wrapped up in bed.

Dr. Martens x Adventure Time

Image taken from weheartit.com

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock the past couple of weeks, then you probably know about Dr. Martens teaming up with Cartoon Network to bring us a very exciting collection for Adventure Time!

I knew about this collection coming out nearly a year ago. How? I tried for an apprenticeship at Dr. Martens in Nottingham, which I sadly didn’t get. On the day where I had my practical assessments and interview I saw the Adventure Time boots in there and of course I had to ask about them. They told me they would be coming out soon and when a few months later I asked in the Birmingham store about them, that’s when I found out they would be out for S/S 15.

The designs that they had when I eyed them up were the three pairs that have come out, which are Jake, Finn and a pair with loads of prints of Jake and Finn. However there was also two other pairs that haven’t come out with this collection, which were Marceline and Gunter. I can imagine these will be out A/W 15 or S/S 16.

If you haven’t seen these beauties yet, then I’m going to show you!

The promotional video for this is amazing and I like how they’ve incorporated their #STANDFORSOMETHING campaign with Finn and Jake.

Not only are these out for adults, but they’re out for kids too which aren’t cheap at £80 a pair! This being said the children’s pairs are super cute and I wish I could buy a pair to later on in life dress my own kid in.

These are unisex boots so come in sizes 3-13 in UK sizes, and this includes half sizes for 6 and 9 too.

So you can imagine my excitement when Dr. Martens officially came out with their news about the boots coming out. This being said, I’m on a spending ban and £130 is now a lot to me as I don’t earn much since cutting my hours down for uni.

I knew from seeing them at Dr. Martens in Nottingham all those months ago that I wanted either the Jake or Marceline pair. So I’ve always had my eye on them.

This collection officially went on sale on Monday and already the Jake pair have sold out, which hardly surprises me. The only pairs left are the Finn and Finn & Jake boot. I’m sure these will be available this time next week.

Image taken from drmartens.co.uk

You can imagine how gutted I was when I saw the Jake boot has sold out, as these are said to have been made in limited numbers, so people who are still after these boots might not even get a pair now…

So I was double gutted, one because I couldn’t afford the boots in the first place and now the pair I want is sold out. Knowing how upset I was my boyfriend kindly offered to buy me the Jake pair as a “congratulations on finishing uni” present, which I course I won’t be allowed to have until September… Which I can deal with! At least I would have a pair!

So at this moment in time, we should now have them! I rang the Dr. Martens store in Birmingham and asked if they had any pairs in my size left and luckily they have ONE LEFT! They kindly reserved them for me for when I pop in today and I couldn’t help but be super excited for today so that I can finally get my hands on this pair.

Seeing as I’m not allowed them until September, I don’t know if I’ll be writing a post about these before then… I’m hoping I’ll be allowed to but my boyfriend has been really strict on when I can have these, and I can understand why. They’re an early present, but not early enough I can have them now! Damn!

Image taken from drmartens.co.uk

Either way I haven’t been so excited for a collection in a long time and Dr. Martens pulled a good move bringing this collection out.

One thing I would say about this collection is that IF you want a pair, get down to your local store soon or order online (if you can of course) as soon as possible as these are going fast.

I do have a feeling they’ll bring out another soon, as I said before. In said collection I would love to see some Lumpy Space Princess boots! It would be cool to see some Fiona boots too, but I can’t see this happening.

What do you think of the Adventure Time collection? Do you love it, do you hate it? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all!
