Fuerteventura Favourites

This is going to be like a monthly favourites style post, but instead 2 weeks worth of favourite items and from the island! As well as that it’ll be a mixture of beauty and lifestyle related items that I loved using and enjoying whilst I was away.

I would have included these on my October Favourites post at the start of next month, but I already know for a fact that I’ll have loads of things on that list already and these wouldn’t even get a look in!

A couple of these items have been left in Fuerteventura so due to that I’ve had to use stock images to show off what they are.

Let’s get on with the favourites though, starting with beauty!

Beauty

  • Babaria Foot Cream.

My feet really were bad when we were on holiday and they usually are to be perfectly honest due to how dry my skin is as well as how the sea and sand were drying out my feet too. This foot cream said to apply it both day and night, so I applied it before I went to bed and first thing when I woke up. It helped in a short matter of time and I guess I’m just gutted I couldn’t bring itย  back with me, especially with how good it worked on my feet! This being said when I was looking for a picture of the product to put on here I delightfully found out that Amazon UK sell this! So I may pick one up when I’ve used my Body Shop Intensive Foot Rescue.

  • L’Oreal Hair Expertise Sleek Smooth Intense Shampoo.

This is the shampoo I always use when I got to Fuerteventura and it really did work wonders for my hair whilst I was there. It made it feel so light and moisturised. I loved it so much I had a search for it when I got home to buy and thankfully I found it in Superdrug! I haven’t used it here yet, but a part of me can’t wait to, as sad as that sounds. I’ve been using sulphate free shampoo for about a year now and it really has improved my hair, I’ll never got back to normal shampoo now!

  • Skinnydip X Carmex Cherry Lip Balm.

I picked this lip balm up the day before we went on holiday as whilst I have Vaseline, that doesn’t contain any SPF. I wanted to make sure to pick up one that did so I grabbed this whilst in Superdrug. I love Carmex, especially the cherry flavour and this contains SPF 15 too which is perfect! I used this constantly on holiday, both day and night. I did find however in the day time that this would sting the part above my top lip in the day time, which makes me wonder if it’s due to the sun being really hot and 15 not being a high enough number. I didn’t burn though, so who knows! I’m still using this now we’re back and I still love it just as much!

  • Essence Out Of Space Nail Polish in shade Intergalactic Adventure.

I picked up this nail polish the day before we went on holiday and although it’s just a bog standard nail polish but it’s so pretty and for the price it’s a complete bargain! I remember when higher brands such as OPI and Nails Inc brought out polishes like this for five times the price! I painted my nails with it before we went and wore it a couple of times whilst we were there. It was especially lovely to wear when swimming in the pool. I want to pick up more of the shades from the collection!

  • Barry M Matte Me Up Metallic Lip Kit in Avant Garde.

This is another product I picked up before the holiday and it was my most worn lipstick throughout the holiday. I only wore it in the evenings of course as this is such a dark colour! It’s not at all a holiday type shade, at least not one you associate with holidays anyway. It’s a dark purple shade and the metallic in it shifts the purple to a slight gold colour. Due to it being part of a kit you also get the lip liner, which is amazing too! I’ll be reviewing this really soon on my blog and I cannot wait! This is a gorgeous shade for autumn and winter, especially teamed up with a mustard jumper or dress.

Games

  • Miitopia.

The night before we went on holiday I ended up downloading the demo of this to see if it was worth the fuss it was getting. That and it’s meant to be like Tomodachi Life, which both me and Dane love! I fell in love with the demo and downloaded it as soon as possible! It was ready in time for the day of our flight and I played it loads on the plane, as well as pretty much most mornings and/or evenings in the house. Dane loved the look of it so much that he bought it whilst we was on holiday to play with me. Sadly neither of us have played it since we’ve been back, but I’m sure we’ll pick it up soon.

  • Pokemon Silver.

Oh all the nostalgic feels this game brings me! I loved the first gen of Pokemon, but gen two holds more of a place in my heart, so when I heard Nintendo were bringing this out on the 3DS I was beyond excited! I pre-ordered it the day before we went on holiday and downloaded it ready to play the day it came out, two days after we arrived. I played it loads the one day and since then I’ve picked it up once. This is mainly due to playing loads of Miitopia! I’ll be playing it more now as I really want to play it and complete it to the level my original Game Boy Color game was at.

  • Persona 4 Golden.

This is a game that I didn’t start playing until the day we came home. We flew with Monarch… Do I need to say anymore? ๐Ÿ˜› We were in the airport for 7 hours so I needed something to do! I got my PS Vita out and played this for about an hour and played it for half of the flight home. Since then I’ve picked it up a couple of times to play and I’m really enjoying it! I still haven’t finished Persona 5 though, so I won’t invest loads of time into this until Persona 5 is finished.

Book

  • Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella.

If I’ve really enjoyed reading a book in such a long time, it was most definitely this one! I’ve wanted it since Sophie Kinsella released it and it was better than I thought it was going to be. It’s about Audrey and how she suffers with anxiety disorders due to something that happened at school. It’s really well written and clearly researched before writing about. As usual Sophie Kinsella writes her characters so realistic that I want to be their best friends. If you haven’t read it yet and love young adult mental health related novels, please do!

Music

Image taken fromย https://dainumo.bandcamp.com/album/suited

  • Dai Numo – Suited album.

Oh man I LOVE this album so much I can’t even put into words how much I love it to be honest! It was the perfect album to play whilst in the pool, driving around the island and on the flight there and back. My favourite track is One Digit, which is how I discovered Dai Numo in the first place! I’ve linked where to get his album under the picture of it, but I’ll also link where you can listen to his music on Soundcloud here. Other than this album we didn’t really listen to much whilst we were on holiday.

Food & Drink

  • Nescafe Frappelatte.

These are a real treat whenever I go to Fuerteventura and I just wish so much that we could get them here! They’re really thick coffee milkshakes that are made in a machine just like a Slush Puppy. They’re not expensive and you can get all sorts of different toppings such as cream, chocolate sauce, ice cream and even a Kit Kat. I wish I’d been naughty and drank more of these whilst we were away, but we had one as a treat whenever we’d been swimming at the beach or out for the day. It’s a lovely treat to have, like a Slush Puppy I guess. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Fanta/Clipper Fresa.

I don’t quite understand why we don’t have strawberry Fanta in the UK because it’s bloody amazing! I gave Clipper a go too as they did a zero version. I didn’t drink loads of this (I’ve definitely drank more in the past!) but it was so refreshing to drink and incredibly yummy. It was just nice to have on the balcony in the day time and as a drink to pick up and have whilst down at the beach or out on a walk. We really need this in the UK though, only through Five Guys at stupid prices is lame.

  • Nutella B-Ready.

These ARE in the UK and they’re fucking beautiful! I didn’t realise we could get these at home, but on the night we arrived we popped to the shops and picked a box up. I popped them in the fridge so that the chocolate inside would go hard and it was really nice done like that. These were a night treat in the day time after going for a swim in the pool and in the evenings if we fancied something sweet! Since we’ve been home we’ve bought a box of them from Asda, but they aren’t exactly cheap. Tesco have them on offer right now so me and Dane intend to buy LOADS! ๐Ÿ˜› I’ve been eating them in the mornings before work to give me a little something for the day.

So those are my favourites from Fuerteventura, but in reality everything was my favourite thing there. ๐Ÿ˜›

Do you always seem to have favourite items when you’re on holiday? If you do what were your favourite items from your last holiday? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and have a lovely weekend!

Life Lately… A Roller Coaster!

Wow it has almost been a month since I wrote a life lately post! Just goes to show how busy I was with getting on with life that I haven’t really written a massive update.

I’ve just got back from a late shift at work and I’m sat in the living room, with Dane cooking me dinner as I binge watch YouTube videos. OH WHAT AN AMAZING LIFE I DO LEAD. END OF POST! ๐Ÿ˜› Sadly due to being so busy the weekend and the late shift yesterday I am a day late posting this… It’s worth the wait though… I hope. xD

I joke of course, this is intended to be a long read so make sure you have a hot drink handy to cradle as you read. Or at least save this post for your work break or a long journey. I hope it is as long as I am anticipating… THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID.

The first thing I want to talk about is how I went to see cKy on Friday night and how fucking amazing they were! I’ve been listening to them since I was fourteen years old and have always wanted to see them live.

SO when I saw at the start of the year that they had announced a UK tour and a date in Birmingham, I KNEW I had to go! At first Dane wasn’t so sure as I think he imagined it would cost a fortune due to it being cKy. I knew it wouldn’t be too expensive due to the original venue so when we found out it would only cost us ยฃ15.00 each Dane was more into the idea. I was going to go all along anyway so yeah. ๐Ÿ˜›

So the morning the tickets went on sale I was at work so Dane booked them. It did sell out but the venue changed to a bigger one so that more tickets could go on sale… I assume anyway!

I swear the couple of months we waited to go to the gig really flew by and I was so excited and nervous the day of the gig. Of course I was excited to finally go and see a band I’ve been waiting to see live for over 10 years. But I was also really nervous because of various things. Due to wanting to see them play for so many years the anticipation of being able to make sure me and Dane got a good place to sit or stand was making me anxious. I also wanted to try and meet the band before or after too, which again was making me extremely nervous.

Well I needn’t have been nervous and anxious as the gig itself was amazing! Me and Dane decided to sit towards the back by the bars so that we could get a good view and sit down without being bashed around. I do regret not being near the front but at the same time I got the same sound and a great view of everything that was going on just as well.

Before the gig we picked up some merchandise from the stand. I picked up a baseball t-shirt which I cannot wait to wear! The material is lovely and soft and when I tried it on it looked awesome. Dane got himself a t-shirt too but he picked up the tour one which looks awesome! I can see me stealing it. ๐Ÿ˜›

After the gig we hung around for a bit inside the venue and picked up the support bands CD, they were amazing and the singer/bass player had a double bass AND is left handed! I’m a left handed guitar/bass player so whenever I see lefties like myself it makes me very happy. ๐Ÿ˜›

We went around the back of the O2 Academy to see if any of the band mates were around and low and behold there was Jess! My favourite member of cKy! I didn’t actually think I’d be able to meet any of the band, let alone my favourite. I went down and after allowing people before me to “have their turn” in talking to Jess, having pictures and things signed it was my turn and I was shaking with nerves. I’ve always been nervous when meeting celebrities like anyone is but I don’t ever remember feeling this nervous before. I was shaking all over and I didn’t know what to say!

Jess was lovely though and both me and Dane had a chat with him about when he last toured with cKy, how they played Download years before and even about what he was doing that night after the show. I even recommend some bars in town for him to go and drink at. It was awesome and he signed my ticket as well as having a picture with me.

I went home feeling on top of the world and the 14 year old Nat who was starting to come out of her shell was ecstatic and like nothing could get her down. That’s somewhat how I’ve felt in my 27 year old self since Saturday night… ๐Ÿ˜›

OH and you know what? The next day Chad liked a comment I left on one of the videos cKy put up on their Instagram from the gig. This just added to how happy I had felt the night before. Sorry about the obvious phone call that I print screened what Chad liked… I was on the phone to my dad at the time. ๐Ÿ˜›

That was the biggest thing I wanted to talk about in this post BUT I also want to talk about a couple of other things!

Friday I picked up a new PS4 game as I hadn’t bought myself one since Mafia 3 and Pokemon Moon. I picked up Persona 5 and it’s one I have quickly fallen in love with! I know I love Pokemon but I haven’t been able to get into Moon that much right now sadly… Persona 5 reminds me of Pokemon a little bit to be honest but with an anime element to it. I’ll be writing more about it in my monthly favourites at the start of June but I’ll pop a trailer above so you can see what it’s all about. It came out recently so it hasn’t been out that long, but it’s been out in Japan since September/October last year! :O This seemed to be sold out for a while in the UK as wherever I looked online it either wasn’t available or was only available in limited edition steel cases which cost a FORTUNE! :/

Some good news (not that there is really any bad news in this post… Well not yet anyway!) my lips are finally looking like they’re healed after 3 fucking months of hell, pain and torture! Basically I hadย angular cheilitis, this whole post here explains what was wrong. After that post however I had to go back to the doctors to get some more treatment as the one I was given worked, but only to fix my eczema. I was given an anti-biotic cream which has worked marvellously! Although this being said the infection did come back and I had to apply the cream again last night. So far it looks like it has healed. I’m hoping so for various reasons…

Due to how sore my lips have been I haven’t been able to wear ANY lip products bar lip balms… Yep no lipsticks at all. I have really missed not being able to wear any and to be honest due to how the infection can contaminate lip products I am now kinda too scared to wear any of my lipsticks in case the infection hasn’t gone or returns… I’m going to give it until June to wear anything else.

Image taken from weheartit.com

As many people will know lipstick is the only make up I really wear and due to this it’s my “thing” especially since I’ve dug deeper into it and experimented with it by wearing darker colours. If there’s a lipstick I really miss wearing it’s definitely got to be my MAC lipsticks, which I am craving to wear lately. I really fucking sucks.

You watch though, as soon as I start wearing my lip products again I’ll be writing ALL THE LIPSTICK POSTS! ๐Ÿ˜›

I don’t think I really made a post about this but me and Dane are going on holiday in September! YAY! We’re both super excited for it as we weren’t planning on going on holiday until we could afford to go to Japan. My parents were kind enough to offer to pay for us to go and have it as an early Christmas present. Of course we need to get our own spending money but that isn’t a problem! We have already started saving and we’re doing really well so far. EEEP SO EXCITED! By the way, we’re going to Fuerteventura again. ๐Ÿ˜›

Speaking of “holidays” me and Dane were going to book ourselves a short couple of day trip to London for our anniversary but sadly we aren’t going to now… We got super excited about all the places we would go and visit, as well as places to go shopping and have food at. The reasons for not going ahead with it are money, money and money.

Not only do we have our holiday to think about and save up for but we also have bills to think of. I have my car insurance to renew again soon and of course having our own house isn’t cheap… So yeah.

We can always go to London at the end of the year around Christmas time, or in the New Year for my birthday. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is another bit of good news! I’ve started to be more active on my Twitter and Instagram pages which of course is good news! I was really anxious with using Instagram for my blog to be honest due to all the hashtags and well dickheads on there. ๐Ÿ˜› Sadly due to this I won’t be putting any pictures of myself on there. The only place I do that is on my personal Instagram page, which is private. ๐Ÿ˜›

Don’t forget if you want to give me a follow on either of those accounts it’s @maybeecoffee for Twitter and @theremightbecoffeeblog for Instagram.

Finally I want to talk about what makes this life lately post a roller coaster… My mental health isn’t good right now. It’s actually gotten bad enough that I am seeking getting counselling… Again. Urgh. Also that picture by The Latest Kate is so accurate for how I feel in life right now… I just wish I could think that way when I have bad days.

Image taken from The Latest Kate

This isn’t something I was expecting to have to do ever again and whilst my mental health isn’t bad in suicidal sense (although I DO feel suicidal from time to time… Yuck.) but bad in the sense my anxiety is just awful right now. I’m constantly overthinking things from work, home, friends, everything to be honest. I’ve been worse to be honest but it’s bad this time in the sense it is affecting my health. Even my doctor has told ย me due to stress and anxiety my bodies immune system is down. Not good.

So yeah. The few people I have spoken to about this has all said how proud they are of me for accepting that I need to do this for myself right now. I just hope it helps to be able to talk to someone. I feel like I bug my best friend Gab (hey! *waves*) and Dane with my problems… Even though deep down I know I don’t.

I’ll be keeping you guys updated with that stuff anyway to be honest. ๐Ÿ™‚

Other than that everything is… Weird. It’s a mixture of good and shit right now. I’m living for the good though! I’m trying to just live for the moment and have the best time I can with Dane. We both have a week off together soon so we can celebrate our anniversary. I don’t think we’ll be doing all that much other than going out for a couple of adventures, see some friends and chill out at home. ๐Ÿ™‚

Well my coffee is now bone cold and although I like cold coffee I think that means this post is over. ๐Ÿ˜›

How have my lovely readers lives been lately? Drop me a tweet about how you’re doing, or comment down below. Either way I’m happy with! I love getting comments and tweets. They make me happy. ^_^

I hope you all enjoyed today’s read and I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Until next time take care all!

We’re Going On Holiday!

Image taken from weheartit.com

This is something I didn’t think I would be talking about this year but yes, me and Dane will be going on holiday this year! YAY!

Sadly it isn’t Japan like we would love, we can’t afford that right now. To be honest we can’t even afford this holiday we’re going on and we’re both lucky enough that my parents offered to pay for us to go as an early Christmas present.

So you’re probably wondering where we’re going? Well it’s nothing “special” but we’re going to Fuerteventura! As old readers will know it’s my second home, so although it’s somewhere I have been to time and time again I still love it just as much as I did the first time around.

We’ll be going for 2 weeks, which will be lovely! It’ll be a relaxing holiday with loads of time at the beach, a bit of shopping, maybe have a go at surfing this time around and making sure to drink plenty of cocktails and have a great time!

I’m really excited to be honest. This week me and Dane have both been off work so it’s meant for the first time since we bought the house that we’ve been able to have the same time off together and spend loads of time together. I really miss these moments. I’ll be sad for us to both be returning to work after May Day bank holiday.

We have quite a wait until we go away but it’ll be worth it. I can’t wait to be honest! Just for the time being we’ll be saving up for our Euros. I want to try and take as much as I can so I don’t have to worry at all about running out of money.

Until then I’m going to lust after bikinis, dresses, shorts and sandals that I can buy for the holiday! ๐Ÿ˜› What do you do as prep before you go on holiday? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time take care all and I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Life Lately… A House Update

 photo Photo 08-06-2016 10 39 36 pm_zpsqzq8ayur.jpg

 photo Photo 09-06-2016 12 37 39 pm_zpsxpyao2fm.jpg

Let’s just say that life has been pretty damn busy of late, and when I say busy, I MEAN busy! Me and Dane have officially owned our home for over a month now, which sounds exciting, but in reality it has been fucking stressful. Anyone who ever thinks that buying a house, doing it up, and everything else that comes with it is straight forward then you’re in for a shock.

 photo Photo 17-06-2016 8 01 58 pm_zpsho7jl9fz.jpg

Buying a house is hard work, and if you aren’t willing to put that effort in, then forget about buying one. Rent because that would be a hundred times easier than buying one. Purely because of all the paperwork that comes with it before you even get the keys. Then after that, (of course depending if you buy a new or pre-owned home) you then need to think about decorating, and any renovation you may need to do, hell even in a new home you may need to do this!

Oh and did I mention money? Make sure you have plenty of it, because so far we have spent thousands on ours, and I don’t just mean the deposit.

Our house wasn’t perfect, it has proven to be a lot of hard work, and stressful. Due to these two elements it has really had an effect on my mental health. My depression hasn’t been all that great some days, and for about a week I started to have symptoms of post natal depression… I know that usually comes during/after pregnancy but that is the only thing I can relate my initial feelings of the house to.

I didn’t feel like I wanted the house anymore, and often pushed it away or didn’t want to do anything to it. It was a sad period, and one I soon came out of and am glad to say I haven’t gone back to.

I hope to do a buying your first home post in the future with a guide of what to expect, what not to expect, etc. You get the point. Buying a house is hard, especially when it’s your first one and you don’t have a clue what the hell is going on. I read some blog posts on what to and what not to expect and they did help a little. A huge piece of advice I read was, “Don’t get too excited about the first house you see, because chances are you won’t get it.” This is so true! I will go into more about that in the future though.

As I said at the start of this post, we have had the keys and been working on our house for over a month now, and are we moved in yet? Erm… Nope… BUT we should be this week! We pretty much have everything done and ready, it’s just a few little things here and there, but mostly the bathroom now, which was one of the last things we decided to focus on.

We didn’t realise how much work we had cut out for us until we were in there. I will be writing a separate post on all that however, as I want to do a before and after style post.

As well as the house I haven’t really been doing all that much else… Plenty of shopping for the house to be honest, and working I guess, and I went out with my friend Sophie for a sushi and shopping day. By the way, yes I was sat in a bath in the above picture… With my yellow raincoat on. Buying a house has apparently caused me to act like a bored child on a Sunday morning in Wickes or B&Q.

Other than the house I don’t have much else exciting that has happened… I ordered the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Summer Bundle which was very naughty of me due to how much I paid… That could have gone on house stuff… Meh you only live once I guess! If you want to get your hands on the bundle head over to Beautylish, as they calculate your Royal Mail handling fee, etc into the total. Plus they have two bundles left, so get ordering!

I am also swimming in Deadpool goodies!… Well… Kinda. Dane bought me a Deadpool notebook, as well as some Deadpool festival style bracelets, which I love. OH and speaking of the mercenary himself, Good Smile Company also recently showed us what the Deadpool Nendoroid is going to look like. I want him SO MUCH. All the excitement in our house right now.

I want to show off in this post so much right now all the amazing artwork I have bought for the house so far, but I can’t… I just need to wait to give all the tattoo artists who drew said artwork the credit they deserve!

I’m going to end this blog post with an apology for being so quiet lately. I’m sure regular readers of my blog will understand, and for people who have stuck by me, and supported me I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We haven’t finished yet, but we are definitely getting there now.

Take a picture of me with a sea lion! I recently re-discovered that this existed, and it’s caused me to miss my home in Fuerteventura. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

How is everyone doing lately? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below! I’d love to have a natter with you! Oh and don’t forget that you can always drop me a tweet if you do so wish! My handle is @maybeecoffee

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

High-End Beauty Haul & A Foxy Surprise!

 photo Photo 27-05-2016 8 20 14 pm_zpsdvgwhva3.jpg

Recently my family went on holiday and came back before the weekend. The three weeks they were away for has really flown by, and I was glad to see them arrive home safely.

When they got back they were bearing gifts, as well as with a surprise gift for me. I had asked my mom to pick me up some goodies whilst she was there, which I would give her the money for.

We have a home over in Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, and due to it being a tax-free island it can sometimes work out cheaper to buy beauty related goodies over there, rather than here.

I only have four things she picked up for me, but they’re all amazing, and I couldn’t wait to show them off to you today!

  • Lancome Juicy Shaker Lip Gloss in shade Mint To Be – ยฃ18.00

I already have one of these in shade Berry In Love (you can read my review here) and whilst I didn’t review it with all-stars and positives, I still rather like it for work if I fancy something light, which I can reapply without the worry I look like coco the clown. This is a rather odd shade considering it’s blue, but I love how it reminds me of my teenage years of wearing sheer blue lipsticks and lip glosses. This is just like the name too, it’s very minty and makes my lips feel tingly and feel fresh, which is nice! I can’t wait to rock this over the summer months on hots days out. For a while this was only an exclusive at Selfridges and Lancome’s official website, but it appears to be available everywhere now, although I think it is a limited edition shade.

  • Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte Natural Finish Pressed Powder in shade Peche – ยฃ33.00

I’m hitting pan on my current face powder, which means it’s time to think about buying something new! I mentioned to my mom that I wanted to get something new, and asked her if she could have a nose whilst on holiday for something fancy for me. She had a look around and found this lovely piece for me! A Chanel powder… Oh my! I wasn’t expecting this! I especially wasn’t expecting it to be a peach shade, I would have thought it would be white. This being said it’s only a subtle colour and doesn’t affect the colour of my own skin in any way. I cannot wait to start using this, it’s such a gorgeous piece to have in my make up collection now, especially with its beautiful velvet pouch that it lives in.

  • Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in shade Plum Shimmer – ยฃ18.00

I own two of these already, Rose Shimmer, and Candy Shimmer, both of which I bought from Fuerteventura last time I went in November 2015. This is one of the newer shades in the lip perfector collection and it is right up my street! It’s a raspberry pink shade, and when applied multiple times it gives a nice dark payoff to it. I will rock this loads throughout the summer, as well as every other time of year! I hope to review them all together soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

  • Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Lipstick in shade Roman – ยฃ26.00

This is probably my favourite item that I bought from the bunch as not only is it a new and exciting product by Chanel, but it’s also such a lovely shade. I wish I could have really swatched a variety of the shades before picking the one I had, but from looking at swatches and pictures from Tempalia’s post over on her blog, I knew I would love Roman. It’s a hot pink shade, and very me! Makes a change from purple shades, that’s for sure. It’s not like your normal lipsticks either, this one has a buttery and moisturising formula which is really nice! The thing I love the most is the tube, which is long and sleek, which as the name states, looks stylish. I cannot wait to review this beauty!

Finally I have the special gift that my dad got for me! When we went on holiday together in November I eyed up this cushion and fell in love with it. It has a fox on it, how could I NOT fall in love with it?! I don’t know what I’m going to do with it yet… Probably stick it on my bed and use it as a back rest. ๐Ÿ˜› It’s huge though, probably half the size of my body. It’ll definitely be nice to use as something to lean on whilst I work on blog posts. This only cost my dad โ‚ฌ27.95, which works out to ยฃ21.25. Bargain really considering how big it is, I mean look at the picture of it with my hand on top… That is how big it is!

So that’s my little high-end beauty haul! I do not know the prices in euros at this time, but when I find out I will update this post as and when. I hope to review the majority of the goodies mentioned on here soon as well.

Are any of the products I’ve purchased anything you would like to get, or have bought yourselves recently? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and have an awesome bank holiday Monday!

A-Z: Get To Know Me!

I recently found a post of the same title by Be over at Love From Be (link) and I just loved the post so much. It was just a nice and different way of getting to know the blogger you enjoy reading, or have just discovered. So I thought I would give it a go myself! Make sure to go and check out Be’s blog, as she’s so lovely and down to Earth.

Anime – I love anime so much, it’s something I have enjoyed watching from a young age, and the older I’ve got the more anime shows I have found myself watching. Some of my favourites are Elfen Lied, Nana, Azumanga Daioh, Himouto! Umaru-Chan, Sword Art Online, and Fullmetal Alchemist.

Blogging – I didn’t want to have to use this as the letter B, but I really couldn’t think of anything else! I love my blog. It’s my number one hobby, and something I would love to turn into my job in the future. I’ve been running my blog for four years now, and I continue to carry on with it for as long as possible.

Coffee – Well, the title of my blog does have the word coffee in it! I do really like coffee, so much so I worked in Costa Coffee for nearly three years. That is probably the first time I’ve admitted to working in Costa on my blog. ๐Ÿ˜› My favourite coffee is vanilla flat white. I love my coffee strong! ๐Ÿ˜›

Dirty Sanchez – One of my favourite shows has to be this. I love not only that the guys are from the UK, but I also love how they do some worse off stuff than what Jackass have ever done. I’m sad that they aren’t still around, but I’ll always think of Dirty Sanchez as one of the shows I grew up watching and loving.

Evanescence – My favourite band for over ten years now. I fell in love with them when I first heard “Bring Me To Life” on KERRANG! Radio. I ended up buying their first album Fallen and listening to it none stop. I still have that album to this day! I have seen them live twice, and hope to go again in the future. I’ve also met all the band mates (apart from Amy!) from the Evanescence album days. My favourite song is “Imaginary”.

Fuerteventura – This place is legit my second home. I’ve been going there since the age of 5 and I love it. I didn’t go for 10 years and it broke my heart, I forgot how much I loved it and how amazing it was there. I really want to live there one day… But we shall see. I would want to work in a cocktail bar, or hell even run my own on the beach! ๐Ÿ˜›

Gaming – I’m a gamer. Not a hardcore one, but I still love to play my games! I’m also a console collector too, and I currently own 7 consoles (Nintendo SNES and GameCube, Playstation, PS2, PS3, and PS4, and an Xbox 360), as well as my handheld collection of the original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS Lite, and my Nintendo 2DS. Go me! But I love playing games. Currently obsessed with the LEGO games. I can’t wait for the Star Wars one to come out.

Hyper Japan – I went to my first Hyper Japan convention last summer in London and I loved it so damn much! It wasn’t as good as I was hoping it was going to be, but I still enjoyed myself. I really hope that me and Dane can attend the winter one this year, seeing as we went to the summer one last year.

iPhone – I own an iPhone 6 and I love it to bits! It’s by far the best phone I have owned to date, and I just love it. It feels nice to hold, is great to look at, and to be honest my new phone case just makes me happy. I only got it in the post yesterday when I got home from work and it’s just so adorable. Who can say no to a sleeping Mew, huh?

Jackass – Another one of my favourite shows. I grew up watching this too funnily enough! I would skip school to stay at home eating toast and watching TV shows on MTV. Or I would stay awake all night watching them on Viva. God those were the days! I was gutted when Ryan Dunn died too by the way. It really hit home as he was my favourite one on the show. I’m sad that this has also come to an end, but I love Bad Grandpa, it’s amazing!

Kawaii – A Japanese word for cute. I love cute things and often say kawaii about them to try and be cute myself. It rarely works and I end up looking like a complete loser. ๐Ÿ˜›

Lipstick – This is really the only makeup I wear, and I’m pretty damn proud of that! I love lipstick, and I’ve recently started to get braver in wearing darker lip shades than I already wear. I love liquid lipsticks the most right now. My favourite brand being Jeffree Star Cosmetics. I also love my MAC lipsticks too, my favourite shade will always be Rebel. I love wearing reds, dark pinks, and purples. Can never get enough of them!

Manga – I love reading manga. I started to read it back in 2011 when I finish university and had time on my hands. I started with Elfen Lied, then moved onto Azumanga Daioh, and Nana. I currently have some Nana to finish reading and then I’ll be moving onto the Sword Art Online series. I need to read the Attack On Titan manga too… But I only have enough time on my hands for one thing at a time.

Nendoroid – These are the awesome figures that me and Dane collect, and we really do love them! We have a nice little collection going at the mostly, which are mostly Dane’s. I only have 3 at the moment whilst he has (from memory) 10 figures… My collection is really lame in comparison! Good Smile recently announced they were creating a Deadpool Nendoroid, so me and Dane are really excited for him!

Ocean – I love the ocean. I love how beautiful it looks and sounds with the colours, and the crashing and gentle swishing noises. I finally got to swim in the sea/ocean on my holiday last January with Dane and I loved it so damn much! I can’t wait to do that again someday.

Image taken from We Heart It

Pokemon – Since the age of 6 I have loved Pokemon, and that love is still just as strong now 10 years later. I still play the games, lust after the cute plushies (as you’ll have seen from my recent wish list post here), and get excited when any new news comes out to do with the franchise. I don’t care if I’m a 26-year-old woman, I love Pokemon! ๐Ÿ˜›

Queens Of The Stone Age – One of my other favourite bands, and one I really want to see soon! I have always ended up not going to see them live due to having no money, no one to go with, or them playing too far away from home. When they tour again however I won’t let the chance slip away!

Red – Not myย  favourite colour (that’s purple) but it’s my colour of choice clothing wise! I love the colour red and how bold, and sexy it looks. It also suits me due to my warm yellow skin tone, as well as my brown hair and eyes. I’m after a gorgeous red rain coat at the moment, but alas I haven’t found much.

Studio Ghibli – This is my Disney. You know everyone loves Disney movies? Well I love Studio Ghibli movies. Me and my boyfriend between us have pretty much all of the films on DVD and whenever a new one comes out we try to go and watch it at the cinema. My favourite is Spirited Away, it always has been and I’m pretty sure it always will be. I do rather like Grave of The Fireflies, even though it’s a really sad film.

Teachers – Another TV show I grew up watching! This used to be on Channel 4 back in the day when I was still at school myself! It always made me want to be a teacher deep down due to how much fun all the teachers had both in and outside of school. Alas that hasn’t happened… My favourite season is probably season 2, but I love them all!

Image taken from We Heart It

Umaru – I am legit Umaru… Constantly hermitting away in my room playing games, eating crap, reading manga, and lusting after things I can’t afford to buy. I’m not cute like her though… Just a very sad 16-year-old stuck inside someone 10 years older than herself… Oh dear. ๐Ÿ˜›

Vitamin D – This is an odd one, but I actually recently found out I have a vitamin D deficiency… Which of course sucks but I’m currently on medication to help it. The little pills I get are tiny blue ones, which remind me of The Matrix. ๐Ÿ˜›

Writing – I love to write. I do it for my blog, I write books and stories in my spare time, and I even studied critical and creative writing for my masters degree (as well as for my BA too…). So it is safe to say I love writing. ๐Ÿ˜› Need I say more than that???

X (I apologise but I couldn’t think of anything with this letter…)

Yankee Candle – I love these candles! They’re my candle of choice whenever I go to buy any new ones, so I’m always burning them at home. I currently have Christmas Eve burning at the moment as I’m trying to use up all myย  tea lights and votives. ๐Ÿ™‚

Z (I apologise but I couldn’t think of anything with this letter…)

So that was my A-Z about me! Thanks again to Be for posting about this, as if she hadn’t I might not have gotten the chance to have a go at it myself. I also apologise if any of my answers were lame… ๐Ÿ˜›

Will you be having a go at talking about yourself through an A-Z post? Make sure to let me know if you do so I can read yours!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week so far.

Around The World in Barely a Minute – TAG!

Another week, another tag post, oh boy I love these! This one is taken from lifestyle blogger Corrine over at Organic by Nerve (link to her blog here).

So after reading her answers, I thought I would give it a go. Damn, I wish I could really go around the world in barely a minute! ๐Ÿ˜›

Blog World Map

Image of my world readership!

1. Where are you from in the world?

Iโ€™m from the UK.

2. Do you prefer summer or winter? Why?

It depends really! I love being able to rock pretty dresses, and such in the summer, but I also love being able to wrap up in the winter and wearing my Dr Martens boots, and snuggly hoodies and jumpers… Can I just say autumn? ๐Ÿ˜›

3. Summer or winter fashion?

Depends I suppose… I like both for different reasons, but I often prefer winter.

4. Where is somewhere you would love to travel to?

Japan, New Zealand, and New York. ๐Ÿ™‚

5. Name your essential makeup items for the beach

Sun cream and an SPF lip balm.

Not really… I would love to go somewhere though.

7. Do you like/dislike traveling?

I don’t dislike traveling at all! I love going on adventures, especially with Dane.

Definitely in Harajuku! There’s just so many awesome shops I’d want to go to there. As well as that probably in Sephora, and Bath & Body Works in America too.

9. Who is your favourite beauty guru and where do they live?

I can’t really say that I have a favourite… Apologies!

10. What accent in the world is your favourite to hear?

Northern Ireland!

Me, the Sea, and a Pair of Leggings

Can I just put this out there first of all and say how bloody hard it was to find a decent title for this post. I didn’t want anything The Little Mermaid themed, or mermaid for that matter, because that’s just been done way too much, and yeah I hate that shit.

Finally I came up with one which is actually some sort of meaning to it. I was intending to use some sort of lyric but I just couldn’t settle on one which sucked. I looked at certain band songs I’ve been loving at the moment but nothing really matched. So I just left it as something simple, and relevant.

photo2020-01-20152042037201720pm_zpszij8riko

One of the last days of our holiday in January 2015 we went out for a walk along the harbour and for a drink or two. There are huge rocks lining the sea which you can climb across, and sit on. I of course did the latter, alongside a bit of standing up too. I used to climb along these rocks all the time as a child, and it was a treat to look out at the ocean. The views are fantastic from those rocks, and some of the beautiful and fond ones I have of Fuerteventura.

I really love these pictures, and they actually cause me to miss Fuerteventura a lot. It’s my second home, and one I would live at permanently one day…

photo2020-01-20152042043201120pm_zpswrgis6pz

My outfit isn’t anything spectacular, I know. But my leggings are pretty much the whole outfit, the rest is just complimentary.

I’ve owned these Black Milk Clothing leggings for quite a while now, since 2014 to be exact and for ages I have wanted to write a look book post on them, but alas I haven’t until now. The pictures in this post are from my holiday to Fuerteventura at the start of 2015, again just over a year ago now. Which let me tell you, has flown by! Since then I’ve finished my masters, got a new job, bought a new car, AND gone on holiday to Fuerteventura again.

I don’t think I have ever spoken about my Black Milk leggings on my blog until now, so I may as well talk a little about them. They were find via eBay (oh I love eBay!) and at first i didn’t win the big, but someone pulled out and alas I was there with my money to snap them up. I think I paid just over ยฃ35 for them, which is a lot but considering how much they are direct from Black Milk, and custom fees it was well worth the money! PLUS you can’t buy this design anymore, so I have a limited pair. WOOP!

photo2020-01-20152042043203420pm_zpscwtclxdn

I teamed these up with my amazing Darth Vader Vans slip ons, which I wear quite a lot, even a year on. I wore these religiously on holiday as I had just bought them in the January sales for ยฃ20.00, a complete bargain. I wish I hadn’t worn socks with them at the time, but I think I was trying to avoid getting any sunburn on my fight. Oh and my feet were in really bad condition that holiday… So I was probably trying to hide how minging they were.

photo2020-01-20152042043205020pm_zpse75mqmmo

During that holiday I was a bit of a hippy with the way I had my hair, and the jewellery I started wearing. I wore loads of friend bracelets, and necklaces. My hair was forever curly, and wavy, which I loved!

I loved that holiday, and I remember on the way home crying because I missed it so much. The second time I went back in 2015 was November to December. I was pretty numb flying back, and didn’t get upset. But I still didn’t want to come back to the UK.

I hope to go back again soon, I really miss it there, and pictures like these remind me of why I love it so damn much.

I hope to buy myself another pair of Black Milk leggings soon… Hopefully another mermaid pair. Watch this space!

Do you own any Black Milk Clothing pieces? If you don’t, which pieces would you like to own? Make sure to let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, take care all and hope you’ve had a great weekend!

Holiday 2015!

Image taken from weheartit.com

I’m finally going on holiday! After nearly 10 years I’m finally getting away for a bit and whilst I am extremely anxious, I am also extremely excited!

I’m going to my second home, Fuerteventura and I really can’t wait to be back to somewhere that I have missed for a very long time.

I’ll be going with my boyfriend and my family and as well as going on holiday I’m also excited to be going with my boyfriend as this will be my first holiday with a partner, let alone with him!

I’ll be going pretty much the day after my birthday, which is really nice and I’m rather excited about it.

As I haven’t been on holiday for so long I actually can’t remember what sort of stuff you should pack, what stuff you can’t take, etc. But I know my family, friends and having a look at some blog posts will help me sort that out.

Image taken from weheartit.com

I can’t wait to try some surfboarding there, get a tan, listen to some music, read a couple of books, go shopping, go on lot’s of adventures and finally ENJOY MYSELF!

The past two years have been pretty blah and rubbish so I think this holiday has been a long time coming and something I really can’t wait for, I won’t want to come home!

Over the next 4-5 months until my holiday I’ll be on the hunt for some holiday clothing, some good reads, as well as holiday essentials, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Gosh I am super excited! Now all I need to do is get a passport… Yes I don’t have a passport, yet anyway.

Image taken from weheartit.com

I hope everyone has had a good weekend, I know this has rounded off mine nicely!

Take care all, I’m off to do some holiday window shopping. ๐Ÿ˜‰
