I’m Hosting My First Twitter Chat!

Image taken from weheartit.com

Oh and it is so damn exciting! AHHHH!

GirlBoss Network recently put a tweet out there on their Twitter account (obvs!) asking for people to come and host chats for them. Of course I dropped them a tweet and asked if I could take part soon if not in the future. They said in the future at the time but the next day I got a message on Twitter asking if I could host this Sunday!

I’m a mixture of excited and nervous. I’ve never hosted a Twitter chat before so I’m nervous about not doing things I should be, or that my questions will be lame. Of course I am excited to take part in a chat that I’m hosting.

I love taking part in Twitter chats, especially blog related ones. It’s lovely to be able to talk and discover new bloggers through the chats. Of late I haven’t taken part in as many chats as I used to, but I intend to change that as of this week!

So, MY Twitter chat? What’s the topic going to be I hear you all ask? Well it’s going to be geek and nerd themed, OF COURSE!!!

I’m going to try and think of some questions from tonight now that the chat topic is set in stone.

The chat will be hosted for an hour and starts at 12pm this Sunday (20/04/17) over on my Twitter account @maybeecoffee

If you’re wondering what the Twitter handle is for GirlBoss Network, it’s here @GirlBoss_Net

So yeah I thought I’d share this exciting little bit of news today instead of a usual blog post!

If you have any questions to ask about the Twitter chat I’ll be hosting then please ask away in the comments down below or over at my Twitter account (@maybeecoffee).

I hope everyone’s weeks are going well so far! Me and Dane both have a week off work to get on with some finishing touches on the house, including the garden, hanging up some pictures, blah, blah, blah. OH and whilst I was mowing this grass this afternoon it started to snow… πŸ˜› It only went sunny AFTER it was finished. TYPICAL!!!

I’ll soon be writing a post about the artwork I have in the house, I’m so excited for that!

Would you guys like me to do a house tour next week if possible? Make sure to let me know!

Until next time take care all and have a lovely evening… Hopefully snow free! πŸ˜›

Happy Easter!

Image taken from weheartit.com

I can’t for the life of me remember if I’ve ever written and wished my readers a happy Easter… Well no time for the present!

It’s late Easter Sunday now and me and Dane have had a really lazy day together. It was Dane’s birthday on Friday so we did contemplate doing a long weekend full of outings and nice things that he’d want to do for his birthday. Alas we didn’t really do that today.

As I did last year I baked Dane a birthday cake. Last year I made him a Deadpool cake and this year I decided to do an Easter nest cake to coincide with the Easter weekend. It turned out better than I planned and I loved making it. I’ve only had once slice so far, but I intend to polish off the last piece Tuesday on my day off of work.

Today consisted of playing retro games on my PlayStation 1 and 2, which was a lot of fun! Played some oldies such as Crazy Taxi, Tomb Raider and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

I sadly didn’t get a copy of the Easter egg Dane bought before he smashed it and ate some, but we got a picture of mine! I haven’t eaten it still… It looks so cute and too nice to eat. πŸ˜₯ I did however tuck into some Mini Eggs. Has to be done!

I also had myself a relaxing bath after starting out Easter Sunday dinner, which Dane finished off with a bit of assistance from myself.

For the first time ever I made my own roast potatoes and guess what? They turned out just as I hoped they would, if not better according to Dane! I’ve not made us a proper Sunday roast yet but I plan to give it a go very soon for my family. Me and Dane decided recently that for Christmas this year we’ll spend the day at home together and cook our Christmas dinner together. I know that’s a long way ahead to think of but it’ll be here again before we know it!

This Easter has been amazing and definitely one of my favourites. Not only was it Dane’s birthday, but we also spent a lovely long weekend together. We went for a birthday lunch with Dane’s parents, I baked his birthday cake, cooked our alternative Sunday dinner and we went to the Nature Centre in Birmingham together too and got to see the red pandas playing together.

It’s definitely been a weekend I’ve needed. The week after next we have a week off together to do fun things, as well as do some little finishing touches to the house. I honestly cannot wait.

Times like this remind me of how much I love Dane and just how much he means to me… Which is the world.

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you have had a lovely day, and weekend as a matter of fact.

Have you done anything special? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time take care all and I hope you enjoy the rest of the day.

The Geeky Girl Tag

I’ve been on the lookout for a tag like this for ages and whilst going through my Bloglovin’ feed yesterday I found this one that Megan over at Life For Me Lately took part it. Well I’m a geek as regular readers will know so I thought I would give this tag a go myself. There are some questions I won’t be answering to be honest as they don’t appeal to me. I will explain why as and when I come to those of course. πŸ˜›

  • What is your must-have tech gadget?

As boring as it sounds definitely iPhone as it does so much stuff! Other than that I love my Nikon digital SLR and I class it as my baby. πŸ˜›

  • Which house do you belong to in Hogwarts?

I’m not a massive Harry Potter fan to be honest… Sorry! I always sway toward evil and mischief though so I always say Slytherin but my friends who love Harry Potter either say Gryffindor or Hufflepuff.

  • Who is your favourite Doctor?

I don’t watch Doctor Who. I’ve only ever watched one episode and that was because of how cute the Adipose were and I wanted to see them in a full episode for myself. I might be a geek but this just isn’t me. πŸ˜›

some_text

Image taken from weheartit.com

  • If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be?

I’d love to have dinner with Deadpool. I would say Mexican food but he doesn’t actually like Chimichangas like everyone seems to think. I’d probably suggest pizza. You can’t go wrong with pizza. πŸ˜›

  • What is your gaming system of choice?

PlayStation 4 or 2DS. ALTHOUGH I do play Xbox One too. πŸ˜›

some_text

Image taken from weheartit.com

  • If you had a superpower, what would it be?

I’d want some sort of superpower to do with water. It’s always been a geeky fantasy of mine when it comes to write supernatural stories. I don’t know why. I guess I’d want to be a mermaid (and no not because it’s “trendy”!!!) who has the fins in the water but out of the water is a normal human being. BUT I’d want to kill bad people. πŸ˜›

some_text

Image taken from weheartit.com

  • What is your favourite fantasy world?

I love Rapture from Bioshock to be honest. It’s inspired my writing before in the past due to the steampunk theme to it, as well as the grime and poverty style and aspect to it.

  • If you could be any fictional race, what would it be?

I’d just want to be human I suppose… Although being a mutant would be pretty cool. πŸ˜›

some_text

Image taken from weheartit.com

  • Star Trek or Star Wars?

Star Wars ALL THE WAY!

  • List your top 5 geektastic movies or TV series.
  1. Shaun of The Dead
  2. The Hobbit trilogy
  3. Deadpool
  4. Logan
  5. The IT Crowd
  • List your top 5 favourite video games.
  1. Any of the Pokemon games (although Silver is my favourite!)
  2. Bioshock trilogy
  3. Any of the Lego games (my favourite is The Hobbit)
  4. Minecraft
  5. Spyro 2

So that was the geek tag! I’ll paste the questions down below so you can easily copy and paste them yourself so you can have a go!

The questions are;
1. What is your must-have tech gadget?
2. Which house do you belong to in Hogwarts?
3. Who is your favourite Doctor?
4. If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be?
5. What is your gaming system of choice?
6. If you had a superpower, what would it be?
7. What is your favourite fantasy world?
8. If you could be any fictional race, what would you be?
9. Star Trek or Star Wars?
10. List your top 5 geektastic movies or TV Series.
11. List your top 5 favourite video games.

If you do give the geeky girl tag a go then please make sure to let me know in the comments and leave links to your blog so I can read your answers!

Until next time take care all, the weekend is looming. πŸ˜›

February Favourites ’17

I’m not going to lie not only am I glad to see the back of February due to how incredibly shit it was, but I also struggled with my February favourites post this year. I couldn’t think of many products when I was planning this post a week ago but luckily as I sat down to write it, can of cider in hand (oh God…) I’ve seemingly remembered some stuff I have indeed loved this month. YAY!

 photo February 2017 Favs_zpskqyn6qhe.jpg

  • Imperial Leather Foamy Banana Shower Cream.

I LOVE this shower cream so much, so much so I have the bubble bath to go with it. I loved foamy banana sweets as a kid and I always remember my mom buying me some whenever we went into our local Woolworths… Oh good ol’ Woolworths eh? This shower cream smells just like them which makes me so happy! I just love the smell of bananas in general and sadly due to an allergy to them I can’t eat them. So things like this make me happier than they should. ANYWAY! Not only does this smell great but it leaves my skin feeling lovely and clean and smelling great. It also perks me up in the mornings if I need to be up at the crack of dawn for work. It’s a bargain at a Β£1 a bottle so if you fancy giving it a go you know you won’t break the bank buying one on a food shop.

  • Reece’s Lip Balm.

I don’t know why but throughout February my lips have been covered in cold sores and blisters and been so damn sore and uncomfortable! I haven’t been able to wear any lipstick which sucked to be honest. But even when using Blistex products nothing was getting rid of the cold sores. I eventually bought a cold sore cream from Boots which helped but THEN another nasty massive cold sore appeared. FUCK! I didn’t know what it could be but when I started using this lip balm during work the cold sores just seemed to heal quicker. So not only was I comfortable, but my lips smelt and tasted amazing too! It just makes me laugh.

  • Bath and Body Works Black Cherry Merlot PocketBac Hand Sanitizer.

This is on of the other Bath and Body Works items that my friend Sophi brought me back from America and it’s definitely my favourite item she brought me back! I have wanted to try this scent since it came out a couple of years ago but as of yet I haven’t been able to and oh my it has been worth the wait! It is such a warm and yummy smell, just like black cherries and reminds me of a black forest gateau. I’ll be sad when this runs out. I’m currently not going to pause writing this post to go look for more on eBay… Oh dear… πŸ˜›

  • Moisturising Foot Socks.

I only have one of these to show off at the moment but at one point I had at least five of these lying around to use. You can pick these up pretty cheap from Body Care for a Β£1 each and you can pick up all sorts of types. Argan oil, tea tree, coconut, etc. I bought my mom loads of these and decided to get some for myself too. You pop your feet into them for 15-20 minutes and when you take them out your feet will feel soft and smooth. I keep my feet in them for at least an hour to make sure they’re as soft as they can possibly be. As someone who is on their feet constantly due to work these are a lovely treat once a week after a hot bath.

  • Bath and Body Works Body Creams in Lavender & Honey and Cherry Blossom.

My friend Sophi went to America in November last year and she was lovely enough to bring me back some goodies from Bath and Body Works, including these body creams as well as a hand sanitizer I’m mentioning in this months favourites too. I’ve been using this as a hand cream instead of for my body and it finds it works really well and keeps my hands moisturised for a long time, although not as long as I would have hoped or wished. They both smell lovely, but my favourite of the two is the Lavender & Honey scent. It’s so refreshing yet comforting to smell. Can’t go wrong!

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – The Last Leg

I know this show has been out for years but I only recently discovered it on YouTube through clips, the one added above caused me to cry with laughter. The show is just hilarious, witty and currently just rips the shit out of Donald Trump, which is always funny. πŸ˜› I just love it and if you haven’t watched it before definitely give it a go! I’ve only watched series 1 and I’m currently up to date with series 10. I need to try and find the other series to watch online!

some_text

Another Favourite TV Show – Sex and The City

Sadly I don’t have a favourite film for this month so I decided to talk about another favourite TV show. I mentioned in a post recently about how I was watching Sex and The City again and I’m about a handful of episodes away from finishing the show for God knows how many times now. I re-watch the show at least once a year and every time I do I’m reminded of how much I love all the characters but how pissed off I get at the all too… Apart from Sam. πŸ˜› Dane is watching it with me for the first time which has made me so happy! He’s actually really enjoyed it too which is nice. I’m going to put the films on for us at some point for us to watch.

some_text

Favourite Book – Your Lie in April

I know I mentioned this last month on my favourites but I would be lying if I said I was reading anything else other than this… Which I actually finished a few days ago. I haven’t been able to get enough of each volume and during my breaks at work I’ve read a whole book! I’m not even joking. So in a week I got 5 volumes read… Well I don’t know what to say about this manga other than I love it so damn much and it has fast turned into one of my favourite manga and anime series. I can’t really say much about it without ruining it but it’s a very sad story to be honest but with a positive ending which makes you think. I cried to be honest at the end. πŸ˜› I wish it could have lasted a little longer but I’m glad with the way it finished.

Favourite Song – Duke Dumont – Ocean Drive

I discovered this song at the start of the year through a beauty guru on Instagram. She said what the song was in the posts description so I went to search for it on YouTube and here we are. It’s been out for nearly two years now and only now have I heard it! WHAT!? I do tell everyone how I don’t listen to chart music… This is evidence of that! It’s a catchy song which is very chilled sounding and reminds me of something from the 80’s. I love it so much and it’s always something I listen to whilst getting ready to go out and even when doing blog related work. πŸ˜›

some_text

Favourite Game – Pokemon Moon

Β This game came out towards the end of 2016 and during February I actually picked it up and played it constantly! I hardly played it when it came out due to being busy with work, getting ready for Christmas and being an adult. πŸ˜› BUT when I had time in February I picked it up every day when I got the chance. I haven’t finished it yet and I haven’t picked it up for about a week now… But I will… I will…

So those were my favourites for February! It was a long but at the same time quick month and I am so pleased it is done and dusted. I won’t state why but it was shit… Really shit… Stuff still is shit but it’ll get better. Well I hope anyway. πŸ˜›

What were your favourite things throughout February? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and here’s to a new month… and hopefully some better weather. πŸ˜›

14 Things I Love

some_text

Today is the soppiest day of the year, of course it’s Valentine’s Day and it’s definitely like Marmite… You either love it or you hate it, there is no in between really. Well I say that but I’m one of those in between people… I hate Valentine’s Day for various reasons, but I don’t love it. The only thing I like about it is being able to buy Dane a card and write a soppy as fuck message inside for him. I wasn’t going to this year, but alas on a mini food shop I ended up picking up a card. DAMN!

some_text

So instead of a soppy post like some people may be posting today, I decided to write about 14 things I love instead… 14 stands for the date by the way. πŸ˜›

  1. Pokemon – Everyone knows this is one of the things I love and I have done for nearly twenty years now! I love every aspect about it including the games, anime, the figures, etc etc. I could go on about what I love about it. It’s just such an interesting series and is one of the many things that takes me back to my childhood. Mornings spent watching the anime on SM:TV Live, as well as playing the first and second generations on my Game Boy Color during the weekends off school and summer holidays.
  2. Perfume/fragrance – I love wearing perfume, even though on the rare occasion I won’t be in the mood for it, so I won’t wear it. I wear all sorts of different ones, but some of my favourites to name are Thierry Muglar Alien, Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy, DKNY Red Delicious, Gucci Envy Me and Dior Addict. I’m sure I can think of more than this mind!
  3. Food – I have always loved food, especially savory food. I would eat bags of crisps over a bar of chocolate any day! I love to eat food, cook food, watch food being cooked, thinking about food, everything you can think of to be honest. I especially love Japanese food, as well as Italian food as well. OH and you can never go wrong with American food as well. One of my favourite things to cook is probably my homemade piri piri fries, just because I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love them.
  4. Lipstick – As the only make up I wear is lipstick I love them so damn much. I love all sorts of lipsticks of course, especially liquid lipsticks. When I first starting to wear lipstick properly I opted for dark pink shades, which moved onto red, then various pink shades and lately I wear a lot of dark shades such as dark raspberry pink, various purple shades and even a dark purple/navy shade lately. I can only see me going darker too! I can’t stand nude shades or light pink, they don’t suit me at all and look awful on me.
  5. Holographic – I am a holosexual through and through and it reminds me of growing up as a teenager and wanting all these things… But sadly I wasn’t able to have them. Due to the whole 90’s trend coming back, of course holographic stuff has too. I only really pick up any holographic goodies if I really like the look of the, and I don’t know why but the holographic look just makes me so happy!
  6. Foxes – These are my favourite animals with dogs and otters coming second and third. I don’t know what it is about them that I love, maybe it’s that they’re ginger… Maybe it’s that they’re cunning… Maybe it’s because they’re fluffy? I don’t know but I think they’re beautiful animals!
  7. Studio Ghibli – One of my favourite anime film studios and the same place that has made one of my favourite films, Spirited Away. I love how creative and unique the stories and characters are that come out of Studio Ghibli, as well as how beautiful the art style is as well. Me and Dane own all of the Ghibli movies to date and I love watching them throughout the year, but especially with people who have never seen them before. I love seeing people fall in love with them.
  8. Lady and The Tramp – I do like Disney but there’s only a handful of the films that I really love and fan over. Lady and The Tramp is my favourite Disney film and one I’ll always keep close to my heart. I just remember watching it when I was a little girl and falling in love with Lady, Tramp and the other dogs. Jock is definitely one of my favourites too! The story is just beautiful and at the time was probably a story line seen in romantic movies, so the fact they brought it to a children’s film was so good.
  9. Goodsmile Company Nendoroid’s – These are little figures based on Japanese anime and manga series, however it has shifted more over to the Western trends such as Disney movie characters (Frozen, Star Wars, Marvel etc) and even some game characters (Animal Crossing, Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, etc). Both me and Dane LOVE Nendoroid’s and we are constantly eyeing up new ones to buy… They’re not cheap though so they’re definitely a treat whenever we get any. I need to do a post soon about which ones we’re both lusting after.
  10. Duvet Days – This is definitely something I love! I don’t get them as much as I used to due to being busy with work, or the house, or other things. BUT saying this I am currently sat up in bed typing up this post, watching The Last Leg. At this moment in time I cannot possibly complain. πŸ˜› I just love duvet days where I can lie in bed for at least 3 hours on my iPhone scrolling through YouTube and Instagram. These make perfect weekend mornings for me.
  11. Coffee – As a trained barista I love knowing how to make a perfect cup of coffee, but do you know what is even better? Having my own coffee machine to make coffee shop style coffee at home! I LOVE IT! Apart from loving coffee in that way, I also love coffee flavoured things, as well as coffee beans covered in chocolate. I am that weirdo who loves the coffee Revels and Roses. πŸ˜›
  12. Bubble baths – I swear I was a mermaid in a previous life! Before all these trends of “being a mermaid” came around I always joked about this. I LOVE baths and I could spend hours in the bath reading books, scrolling through YouTube and Instagram on my phone, and even doing some writing in my journal. Even as a child and teenager I would sit in the bath for hours on end and just add more hot water whenever I felt chilly. Showers I’m not so arsed about, but baths are just heaven to me! I’ve always had a fascination with water too and I don’t know why to be honest, so much so I’ve written stories about water before and various novels as well.
  13. My best friend Gabriella – I mentioned her recently on my Galentine’s Day post, which you can read here. I’ve known Gabriella for nearly 10 years now and I tell you it has FLOWN by! But I love her so much, she is like a sister to me and we get on so well. We talk daily and whether we’re feeling great or like shit we’re always there for each other no matter what. We’ve both supported each other the past month about different things and if I’m ever in the shit and need someone and Dane isn’t around, I know she’ll be there for me no matter what. I love her so much. :’)
  14. Dane – I said Valentine’s Day is soppy but I don’t recall saying there wouldn’t be any on here… πŸ˜› But of course I love Dane. He’s my boyfriend, my best friend, my soul mate and the best person I have ever met. He’s always there for me no matter what and even when I’m a miserable bitch and take stuff out on him, he’s always there to give me a cuddle and be understanding of whatever has happened. I just love him so much, I can’t even describe it. He’s my light in the dark, the apple to my pie and as I’ve started to joke, the stink to my fart. πŸ˜›

So those were 14 things I love! I’m sorry this post isn’t anything special but I wanted to do something for today but only worked something out at the last minute. πŸ˜›

What 14 things do you love? Please make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and whatever you’re doing today, have a lovely day. ^_^

February Wish List 17

I’m still on a “spending ban” so I don’t actually know why I’m making this post… πŸ˜› I’m not going to lie, my wish list posts are probably my favourite to write as I like to share some awesome new stuff that I want to add to my home, as well as to my lipstick and geeky collections.

So sod the spending ban! I’ll continue to do these posts until I don’t want to write them anymore! There won’t be anything too special on the list this month however… Just stuff I want to buy and cannot. Le sigh.

 photo February Wish List 17_zpsd86ucrks.jpg

  • ASOS Reclaimed Vintage Black Sabbath Long Sleeve Top – Β£35.00 (link)

I recently discovered this piece thanks to Zoe London as she bought it herself and was talking about it in a video. To be honest though a lot of fashion YouTuber’s have bought this piece lately and it’s just made me want to get it myself more and more. Sadly it is out of stock at the moment… I’m hoping it’ll come back in stock in my size so I can erm… Maybe order one… ONLY A MAYBE CALM YO’ TITS!

  • Good Smile Company Deadpool Nendoroid – Β£42.99 (link)

As regular readers will know me and Dane love and collect Nendoroid’s and from the day it was announced we knew we would be getting the Deadpool one. I mean look how cute he is! We were planning on buying him this month ready for what we thought was his release date at the end of the month. Sadly that isn’t until next month… We can still pre-order him though as we intending on getting him as a Valentine’s treat to ourselves. πŸ˜› What an excuse eh???

  • Disturbia Kiss My Ass Acid Wash Shorts – WAS Β£29.95 – NOW Β£22.95 (link)

I’ve wanted these jeans for quite a while now after I found someone selling them on Depop. I didn’t actually know they were still available to buy from the actual store until recently when I decided to check out their sales. I would love a new pair of denim shorts as I haven’t bought myself a new pair for quite some time now. I’d pair them up with geeky t-shirts and tuck them in. I doubt I’ll get these due to spending ban, but they’ll stay on my wish list for as long as possible.

  • Ray Ban Glasses – Β£98.00 (link)

I went for an eye test the weekend just gone after about two years of going without one and sadly my eyes have worsened, which means that I need to get a new set of lenses… Probably frames too it depends. I looked for ages in the opticians that I went into for a new pair and the one Ray Ban pair I liked were bloody expensive and the second pair I liked were nice but seemed really cheap. I had a mooch online and found Glasses Direct who sell designer frames at really good prices! They also sort out your lenses for you too, including thinning them down, which is what mine will need doing to them… Due to the blindness and all. I’ll hopefully get some soon but we shall see! I do really like my current frames so I don’t know why I should change them… A lot of people don’t want to put new lenses into them though which is annoying!

  • Nintendo 3DS Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World – Β£34.99 (link)

If there’s a Nintendo character that I really like (apart from Pokemon of course…) it’s definitely Yoshi! He’s just so damn cute and adorable and I just wish he was real. I especially love the little woolly Yoshi that was realised to coincide with the wii U version of the game a few years ago and really wanted to get one myself to put in my bedroom at the time. NOW the 3DS is finally getting its own version of this game which is really exciting! I gave the demo a go recently and really did enjoy playing it, so much so I’d love to pick it up today if possible as that’s when it comes out! πŸ˜›

  • Pusheen Colouring Book – Β£9.99 (link)

I’ve been after this colouring book FOR AGGGGGES as I love Pusheen so much! I guess I just want something I can faff about with and just relax with instead of playing games or reading, as sometimes I’m not always in the mood to do either of those. This being said, surely this colouring book with mostly consist of grey? πŸ˜›

So that was my wish list for February! Although I’m on a spending ban there are probably a couple of things off of the list that I’ll end up buying due to needing them (glasses), Valentine’s Day gift (Deadpool Nendoroid) and because I fancy a new game (YOSHIIIII!) but we shall see… We shall see.

What are on your wish lists for the month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you had a lovely week.

What I Got For My 27th Birthday

 photo Photo 09-01-2017 11 03 40 am_zpsgfifd6yd.jpg

I can’t believe I hadn’t yet thought about doing this post… Until now! Whilst chilling on the sofa and enjoying a well deserved Sunday lazy day I thought, “Hey! I never wrote a post about what I got for my birthday!” and I surprised myself. I mean I wrote a wish list so why not add a post about what I actually got?

Well better late than never… It has been over a week though since I turned 27… Oh dear. Maybe with age I am forgetting? πŸ˜›

 photo Photo 06-01-2017 8 02 28 am_zpsescqbzxd.jpg

These presents above are a mixture of gifts I received from Dane and his parents.

 photo Photo 06-01-2017 8 01 43 am_zps6wvhsgxq.jpg

My favourite gift from his parents was this beautiful fox figure for the garden. I’ve been after something like this for quite some time now but hadn’t yet found anything I wanted and if I did it was shockingly priced (those are treats for in the summer when we do up the garden!) so I was really happy to get this. The detailing is gorgeous and it’s now sat outside by the back door. I hope we get some foxes in our garden when the weather improves… I love them so much!

 photo Photo 06-01-2017 8 01 40 am_zpsf8yg4oly.jpg

Dane’s parents bought me some lovely gifts but I was especially happy to see four volumes of Your Lie in April manga inside of one of the gifts (which was actually on my wish list!). Apparently I was meant to receive the Azumanga Daioh manga instead but I already owned this manga so Dane is going to send that book back to Amazon. Oops. πŸ˜› With the manga was an iPad holder from IKEA and a can of red spray paint. I had said how Dane’s moms was really nice but how I would want one in red. So that’s why I had a red can of spray paint. I’m going to definitely be spraying it when we have a nice day!

Then we have the gifts that Dane bought for me! Above as you can see there are four volumes of Your Lie in April BUT there is also the box on the far right which is the Blu-ray for the anime series of Your Lie in April. I’m so happy to have it as the art for the box is beautiful and it’s limited edition which makes me even happier!

As well as getting Your Lie in April manga I also got the first two volumes of Paradise Kiss manga! AHH! I love Nana which is written and illustrated by Ai Yazawa who is also the person behind Paradise Kiss. I’ve watched a little bit of the manga and I really enjoyed it, so I know I’m going to love the manga just as much. Sadly like Nana they’re not easy to find and when you DO find them they aren’t exactly cheap… We shall see what the future holds in terms of picking the rest of the manga up as there are five volumes in total so I only have three more to pick up.

My final present from Dane (that I got on the day anyway…) and my main one is this gorgeous Frozen Elsa Nendoroid! I had shown Dane her ages ago as she was on sale on a website we buy Japanese items from and bless him he went and ordered her. I had a feeling I was going to get a Nendoroid for my birthday but I didn’t think it would be Elsa! I’m not one of these obsessed Frozen fans but as soon as she was announced years ago I KNEW I had to have her. She’s gorgeous and so beautiful to look at and I know I’ll need to get Anna soon to go with her. I swear I need to do a collection post about mine and Dane’s Nendoroid’s soon as we have twenty now and counting. πŸ˜›

For my birthday in the evening we went out for a meal for both mine and my moms birthday as hers is the day after mine! We went to Frankie & Benny’s and had a lovely meal, drinks and had a right laugh! It’s a shame we didn’t get to do much else. The next day however me and Dane went to Peak Wildlife Park which was amazing! However we left pretty late so didn’t get to spend all day at the park like we wanted to. We intend to go back in the spring.

But on with more gifts! My mom didn’t buy me anything and instead gave me some money whilst my dad and brother both bought me some charms for my Thomas Sabo bracelet, which I got for Christmas from my mom (which you can read about here).

They both bought me some lovely charms and ones I had set my eyes on on Christmas Day when I was seeing what charms I could get in the future! My brother bought me both the robin and the lucky cat (which I recently found out is called a maneki-neko!) and they’re both so eye catching and different. The maneki-neko has definitely had loads of compliments and questions as to what it is.

Then on a daughter and dad day at the start of the week my dad bought me the fox charm which I’d hoped he would be able to get me. He also offered to buy me another charm too but sadly I didn’t see anything I was after in particular so we left it for another time.

I’m really loving how my Thomas Sabo bracelet is turning out! I’ll be writing up a wish list post for future charms in the next week or two.

This was one of my belated birthday presents from Dane, which he was intending on keeping a secret but wasn’t 100% sure if I wanted it still. I’ve been waiting for this game to come out for almost ten years and finally in late 2016 it came out! However whilst I was going to pre-order it and have it straight away Dane put me off due to some reviews he had heard about which were bashing the game and putting it down. This being said there were more positive reviews than negative and he bought it for me when it went down in price. Sadly due to so many people buying it we had to wait a couple of weeks for it to come out. It has been totally worth it though! We’ve been playing it together since we got it last week and I love it.

This is one of the final presents I got… I say got but I wasn’t gifted it. My aunt gave me some money for my birthday so I decided to treat myself to a new water bottle with the money. This is from The Disney Store and as you can see it’s a Baymax water bottle. It’s so amazing and I love it so much! I mostly use it for work as I like to keep hydrated during my shifts. It’s screw cap and fits a good amount of water in. I try to drink at least two of these a shift (I work 8 hours a day btw…) which I think is a pretty good goal! You can also pop lemons into this too but as of late I haven’t bothered with drinking lemon water. It’s something I’ll start doing again very soon.

So those were my presents I got (or bought with money…) for my birthday this year! I loved all my presents and I can’t say that I have a favourite… Although I do love how my Thomas Sabo bracelet is turning out! I loved everything though to be honest. I loved getting more manga to read, a fox figure for my garden, money and geeky things!

I just want to thank not just my family and friends for helping me have a lovely birthday this year, but mostly Dane for always being there for me. I’m so excited to start 2017 in our home and I’m even more excited for all the adventures we’re going to have this year.

How are all my readers doing? I miss your faces! Leave me some love down below or over at my Twitter (@maybeecoffee)/

Until next time take care all and I hope you’ve had an awesome weekend!
