October is well and truly here and I’m getting hyped for Halloween! I know, it’s a good couple of weeks away (just under three!) yet but I do love Halloween, as regular and older readers will know. I really want to do something for it this year seeing as I’m not at work, but I don’t have a bloody clue what! I’m sure I’ll think of something… Any ideas, pop them in the comments!
I felt really stumped this month with my monthly wish list as I just didn’t have a clue what to add! I really do feel like at times I’ve had to stop myself buying things, some were harder than others but alas, here we are. Half of the items on my wish list this month are pre-orders, hence why they were mentioned… I was really stuck for what to add this month!
With Christmas looming, these wish lists may be easier to write as I need to stop buying goods so Dane and my family can have some ideas of what to get me. Plus with costs on the rise, I need to stop treating myself to things too.
This isn’t a wished after item, but one I have pre-ordered and should be getting by the end of the month. I love ghosts, especially when they look cute, so I really couldn’t resist picking this up. Plus, it’s a smock style too, which is a style I’ve really fallen in love with the past year. On top of all that though, Lazy Girl Club is an independent and slow fashion brand and if there’s one thing I really do want to support these days, it’s just that. I’m excited to have this for Halloween, as well as mine and Dane’s short trip away as I really do want to style it up, and wear it as much as possible! I’m planning to wear it for both in and out of work. I already wear my Black Milk Clothing ghost dresses to work, so I’m up for wearing another one. 😛 This dress will be great for laying too and I’m already planning to try and get a nice black and white striped t-shirt to wear underneath. I’m planning on writing a blog post about this piece in November, so make sure to keep eyes peeled for that!
This is a pre-order from back in March and I can’t wait for it to finally arrive at the end of the month! Both me and Dane love Komi Can’t Communicate, so when we saw Komi was getting a Nendoroid figure, we knew we had to get her! I love all the different poses and faces she comes with too. This will be one I’m sure me and Dane will assemble together so we both get faces and poses we love. As this was a pre-order item from so long ago.
At the time of starting this blog post I DID have this book pre-ordered, but due to wanting to be good with my money, I cancelled the pre-order. This is a book I’d love to pick up, as I’m really loving reading the series, but I can always ask for this for Christmas or birthday, as before we know it, they’ll be here! There’s a volume four coming out next year too, so I could always wait and pick them up together in 2023!
Monki Black Mock Neck Top With Heart Cut Out – (link)
This is an item that came to my attention recently as I saw it being advertised on Instagram! I’ve always wanted one of these tops from Monki where there is the heart cut out, but it’s always sold out, or no longer stocked. I have tried to find it second hand to buy but I’ve had no luck finding one. Maybe Monki was aware how popular this piece is as they’ve brought it back! I want this in a big size as it sounds like it runs on the tight side, and tight fitting clothing is not for me! Ideally I want this for work so I can wear it with trousers and skirts. I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for my size to come in stock! 😀
This is a keychain I would love to get eventually to keep on my car keys! I feel like they’re in need of something new to them, and this adorable Cinnamoroll ramen bowl full of yummy Japanese food is one I’d love! I’d worry it would make me hungry looking at it though… 😛
Finally as the year 2022 is starting to come to an end, it’s time for some new calendars to slowly start making their way onto my wish lists. For the first time in 2022 I’ve bought a desk calendar, which is my Animal Crossing one. I’ve loved peeling off each day and having something new to look at, so I’d love to get another one. When I saw that Kate Allan is releasing one, I knew I had to get it! I haven’t bought this yet, but I’m planning to as soon as possible! Kate Allan’s work is amazing and each item she creates includes an adorable animal, as well as an important message for anyone who needs to see/hear it that day. I’d end up keeping each day to give to people who need them! I’d also look to sticking one or two on my desk at work for when I’m not having good days and need something to look at to perk me up a little.
So, there we have it! My wish list for this month! I’m not going to lie, I am incredibly excited for my Lazy Girl Club dress to arrive and I can’t wait to wear it for Halloween, as well as Bonfire Night!
What do you have on your wish list? Have you ordered some goodies you’re excited for? Make sure to let me know in the comments!
Until next time, take care all and have an amazing weekend!
I don’t want to be a broken record, but honestly 2022 is flying by! I can’t believe it’s April, but I’m definitely excited for this month! Not only is it Dane’s birthday, but it’d also Easter, which is one of my favourite events of the year. Alongside those two factors, me and Dane have some holiday today… Aka a long weekend for his birthday and Easter, so I’m really looking forward to that.
Currently the only thing I don’t like about April is how skint I’m going to be from spoiling Dane for his birthday, but it could be worse. 😛
March was okay for me, I had some rocky moments but nothing to write home about. I did good with money again, which is always good, but with Dane’s birthday coming I might be a little skint this month. 😛
Not going to lie, March felt like my blog was boring and didn’t have much content. I just had brain fog and couldn’t think of anything decent to write, unfortunately. However, April is going to be full of amazing content and I’m so excited for it! I won’t mention anything, let it be a surprise! 😉
Anyhoo, enough of me waffling, down to the favourites!
Favourite Beauty Product – Sol De Janeiro Coco Cabana Gift Set.
If there is something I have really been loving this month it’s been the two Sol De Janeiro gift sets I picked up! I bought both Bum Bum and Coco Cabana, with the latter being the one I started to use first. Both gift sets contain the body cream, body cream-cleanser and hair and body fragrance mist, as well as a reusable pouch. I snagged these gift sets with my mom from Look Fantastic, as they had an amazing deal at the time to snag these gift sets really cheap, so we bought one each! However, I ended up with two Coco Cabana gift sets as my mom wasn’t keen on the scent, which definitely isn’t the case for me. The Coco Cabana scent reminds me of my teenage years where I constantly used The Body Shop’s coconut body milk, as well as coconut scented beauty products in Fuerteventura too. The body cream-cleanser is really thick and moisturising, but one gripe I have is that I don’t feel like a little goes a long way. I put this down to the moisturising factors behind it. The body cream is for dry skin, but that being said it isn’t heavy and thick, but sort of like a thicker gel texture. It definitely leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised after use, even my hands!. Finally the fragrance spray, this is GORGEOUS and I have to remind myself not to go mad on it when using, as my little gift set bottles are only 30ml! I’m already planning on buying all of the products in their full sizes when I’ve used the gift set sizes up! My skin has really thanked me for taking care of it a little more the past month. My arms were starting to become really tight feeling due to how dry and tight they were, and the backs of my knees were suffering with eczema/dermatitis too. Thankfully I’ve fast turned that around and I’m so much happier for it. 🙂
Would you guys like to see a review of both the gift sets/ranges? Let me know in the comments! I’m toying with it, as they are really lovely products that deserve shouting out about!
Favourite Film – Turning Red.
I HAVE BEEN SO EXCITED FOR THIS FILM! Literally the Friday evening it came out (11th March) I cooked me and Dane one of our favourite meals (macaroni cheese) and we sat down to watch the film. I’d tried to guess from the trailers and clips what was going to happen somewhat in the movie and I never guessed it to be fair. For those who are yet to watch it, Turning Red is about Mei Lee, a thirteen year old who loves boy bands (4-Town), doing her bit for the planet, and especially her best friends! Unfortunately for Mei, she’s also trying to be a good daughter, which conflicts with her loves at the best of times. One morning Mei finds herself waking up and she’s turned into a red panda! I said it on last weeks blog post about My Dress-Up Darling (which you can read here) but I LOVE slice of life and coming of age shows, films, etc. They tend to bring me so many nostalgic memories and feels which overall just make me feel so happy. This is exactly what Turning Red did for me. It’s based in 2002, when I was twelve years old and just about to become a teenager! I listened to all sorts of music, but definitely loved Daft Punk and Avril Lavigne. It was also an age I’d really started to discover the things I would love now, including Hello Kitty , Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Mashimaro and more! The one thing I especially love about Turning Red is how it’s the first Pixar film to be led by women, this is big and I cannot wait to see more female led films in the future. I’m just so sad for everyone who worked on this film, who never got the chance to see their film make it to the cinema, especially with how much love and praise it has received.
Favourite TV Show – Euphoria.
I have been wanting to watch this TV show since it came out in 2019, but due to where it was being shown and the fact I don’t have it, I’ve just never been able to… Until now. With season two recently coming to a close, I was desperate to watch and thankfully for me, I knew someone who was able to let me watch it! I’ve so far watched season one and I’m almost at the end of season two. I’ve really fallen in love with it, as I’m a sucker for slice of life (as I’ve seemingly spoken about a lot lately on my blog!), as well as teen drama. I fell in love with it from a very young age (want to say when I was ten?) so it’s something I’ve always enjoyed ever since, even writing my own teen novel(s) and scripts from time to time. Euphoria is about Rue and some of her classmates/friends at her high school. Rue is the narrator of the show and therefore the main character, and tells us as the viewer about herself and the people around her. The topics in the show range from love, drugs, alcohol, sex and general “issues” teenagers tend to deal with at one point or another. Someone once said to me, “If you like Skins, you’ll love this!”. Now, I fucking hate Skins. The show has always felt very trashy to me, so I’ve never enjoyed it. I watched the first episode in college and was immediately put off, however, Euphoria ticks all the boxes for me! If you’re able to watch it and are okay with all the topics mentioned, definitely give it a go as and when you can.
Favourite Song – Architects – Dead Butterflies.
This is a song that started playing in Dane’s car the one day we were on a trip somewhere and I made sure to add to my playlist, as I enjoyed it so much! Since then I haven’t stopped listening to it, nor the album (“For Those That Wish to Exist”) that it’s off of. Architects isn’t really a band I’ve listened to before, although I do know of them. I really do like this song though and just had to share!
Favourite Book – Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Elma’s Office Lady Diary.
I recently picked up volume four of Elma’s Office Lady Diary (as I was missing it), so over lunches and the odd weekend I’ve been catching up on manga. I really miss reading it and have really decided lately to get back on it and catch up on series I need to finish reading, as well as series Dane owns that I want to read as well! Elma’s Office Lady Diary is a spin off of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, which is one of my favourite anime series, and quite possibly the longest manga series I own! Elma in turn is my favourite dragon character as I feel like I can really relate to her. She’s sweet, always wanting to do the right thing, but most of all wanting to eat all the yummy food! Plus, as an office lady myself, this manga spin off for Elma just makes me smile from ear to ear. I’m glad I finally started to read this series! I’m so excited for volume five to come out in the next month or so!
This is a game I’ve been coming back and forth to since its release towards the end of 2021 and it’s one I absolutely love! I think it’s because it’s really simple, yet nostalgic at the same time. Since I completed the story, I’ve been going back on every now and then to try and 100% complete the Pokedex! I’ve been exploring the underground mostly to try and accomplish this by catching lots of new Pokemon, as well as lots of breeding and egg hatching, and even digging the walls in the underground for plenty of rare items! It’s just been really relaxing and nice! I’m yet to complete the story for Pokemon: Legends Arceus, but I’m still not 100% in love with that game… I’ll finish it one day. Me and Dane were only on about it last weekend how we need to pick it back up, but he’s been obsessed with Elden Ring and now we’re both obsessed with Tiny Tina’s Wonderland… Spoiler for next months favourites. 😉
Just a few of my favourite things…
Pokemon Nendoroid figures.
As many of you know, me and Dane collect Nendoroid figures from Good Smile Company and have done since late 2014. I decided during Covid to start collecting series that I needed, with Star Wars being successfully completed. I then moved onto Pokemon, which has been bloody hard and heart breaking to boot. A lot of the figures are harder to find due to them coming out a long time ago and due to this, the prices are really high. I managed to snag quite a few in 2021 for good prices, which I was really happy about, but finding Cynthia, N and Champion Red has proven to be a challenge due to fakes and prices. I did however recently snag Cynthia and N from a UK seller on eBay for a great price! Now all I need is Champion Red… Which unfortunately won’t be as simple, especially as there’s currently one on eBay for over £300! I’m keeping my eyes peeled, but yeah. 😛
Dr. Martens x Lazy Oaf Buckle Boot.
I’d be fibbing if I said I’d been after these Docs for a long time, but I feel like on and off over the past year I’ve definitely liked the look of them! Someone I follow on Instagram has a pair of the Lazy Oaf Heart Buckle Docs and due to her, I decided that I’d really like a pair to wear with my Black Milk Clothing dresses and more! After scouring the internet for a few months, I finally found a pair for sale for £150, which I didn’t think was too bad for an almost new (tried on and maybe worn once from memory) pair of Docs, especially as these are also limited edition. They came out originally in 2019, but I missed out on snagging a pair at the time as I was saving up for my Japan trip. Now I finally have them though and I adore them… But I’m yet to actually wear them out and about. I haven’t yet as I just haven’t had the chance to, even though I’ve owned them a month. I’m anxious of my feet getting destroyed, but at the same time I do want to wear them! I think I’ll go for a walk in them around the local area with my ankle protectors on (Amazon link) to break them in more! I was toying about reviewing these on my blog, as well as some handy Docs tips that I know of, would you guys like to see that in the future?
Turning Red, Mei Lee Red Panda plushie.
I briefly wanted to show off this massive fluffy cutie that arrived at the start of March, my huge Disney Store Mei Lee red panda form plushie! I couldn’t resist ordering this as I’m a massive sucker for red pandas and plus I’ve been super excited for Turning Red to come out, as I mentioned earlier. This plushie has been living on my office chair and has proven to be an amazing cuddle buddy whilst I’m working (both work and personal stuff), as well as whilst I play games. This plushie wasn’t cheap at £40, but totally worth it!
My Dress-Up Darling… Annnnnd future content to look forward to!
Finally I want to give you all a reminder how much I’ve really fallen in love with My Dress-Up Darling! The first season of the anime finished at the end of March and since then I’ve been taking my time to read the manga, so I can make Marin and Gojo last as long as I can! If you really loved this manga/anime, or would like to discover a new series to read/watch, make sure to go and check out last weeks blog post all about My Dress-Up Darling. Since writing it I have since been inspired to write more posts about manga/anime series I love, including Nana, Elfen Lied and Bee & PuppyCat.
So there we have it, my favourites from March! March really did fly by and I don’t feel like I did a fat lot to be honest with you… I think my favourite thing we did in March was visit my best friend and her boyfriend in Nottingham! Nottingham is a city I’ve wanted to visit for a while and with my bestie living near the city centre, it was so much fun to finally visit it with her!
In March I really did reflect on what content I would like to bring to my blog in the future and I’ve come away with so many ideas, that I cannot wait to write and share with you all in the coming months!
What were you favourite things in March? Also, is there any specific you would like to see, or at least see more of on my blog? Make sure to let me know in the comments!
Until next time, take care all and have a lovely weekend!
I don’t know if I’ve ever written a blog post purely dedicated to a manga/anime series before, but no time like the present, eh?
I really wanted to write about My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru, which translates to The Bisque Doll That Fell in Love) today as it’s a manga/anime series I’ve really fallen in love with and it’s definitely fast become one of my favourites, which is crazy to think about. I know a lot of people have fallen head over heels for My Dress-Up Darling too and especially Marin the main female protagonist, some falling for her a little harder than others.
I know today’s post is a little different but I wanted to share my thoughts about this series as I know so many people love it and season one is now completed, so I’d like to share what I thought of it in that aspect too.
Don’t worry, there won’t be any spoilers shared here, I’m not about that life. I will however share the basic information about what the anime is all about and more.
I’m just going to get straight into it, I honestly hope you enjoy reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I think the last time I was into an anime so much I had to pick up the manga to read was A Silent Voice (2017). Me and Dane had been to watch it at The Electric Cinema in Birmingham, as I’d been recommended to watch it by adverts and they were damn right to tell me about it! Forbidden Planet/Worlds Apart is literally a stone throw away from the cinema so we ventured there prior to have a nose at geeky goodness, including manga. Dane walked out with Berserk (which was standard back in the day) and I left with the first three volumes of A Silent Voice. I binge read all the volumes in a week!
The same has happened with My Dress-Up Darling where I’ve binge read volumes one to three (still not started four) of the manga after watching the anime, although I’m holding off reading volumes five to eight online until they actually come out for us in the UK. I don’t know about you guys, but I much prefer holding a manga to read instead of just scrolling pages on my phone or laptop.
The anime is based off of the manga also known as Sono Bisque Doll, which released in Japan with its first volume in January 2018, with there currently being eight volumes of the manga, with volume nine on the way! In the UK there are currently six volumes, with five and six being pre-orders. The manga released to us in the UK in April 2020. With the release of the anime and its quick popularity with anime fans alike, the manga has sold out like hot cakes, with many manga stockists apologising and popping people on wish lists. There has also been a lot of scalpers on selling websites trying to sell volumes one and three (which are the hardest to get right now) for stupid prices!
At the time of writing this post volumes two and four are the main ones you’ll find available to purchase at the moment, with five and six being pre orders for the near future. I’ve found Amazon, Forbidden Planet and Wordery have been some of the best places to find volumes for sale.
I was able to snag volumes one and two from Forbidden Planet, as well as four on Amazon. Last week I was able to finally snag volume three through a lovely seller on Depop! She didn’t scalp or put the price up at all, especially with the volume being brand new.
With that out of the way, I’m going to talk about the anime first, just because that’s what I watched prior to reading the manga. It would be weird to talk about it the other way around when that isn’t how it happened for me. There are twelve episodes in season one with the season beginning on 9th January and concluding on 27th March 2022.
My Dress-Up Darling is about Gojo, a trainee Hinamatsuri (Hina for short) doll creator who has just started his first year of high school. One day during school Gojo is in the craft room at school making some costumes for his Hina dolls when Marin sees him. Marin wants to cosplay, but isn’t very good at making costumes, so once seeing Gojo’s talent, approaches him about whether or not he can help her create her cosplay costume for a character she adores. Whilst Gojo has no experience of this, he helps Marin regardless but one cosplay turns from one to more as the story progresses.
It’s a romantic comedy, slice of life manga/anime and my perfect style of anime/manga! In all honesty I’m a sucker for slice of life, no matter what, even drama you’d find on Channel 4!
Each week I’m a sucker for how Gojo and Marin’s friendship progresses, as well as finding out more about each of the characters and what cosplay Marin will work on next.
I don’t feel like this will be a spoiler at this point, but the opening credits for the anime shows what cosplay outfits Gojo and Marin are working on together, even in the order they do them as well. The covers for the manga volumes have the same images of Marin in her cosplay too. I’m so excited to see more in the future! My favourite so far as definitely been her first.
Dane is the one who introduced me to My Dress-Up Darling. I can’t remember how it came about exactly, as we were sick for the first few weeks of January, which is of course when the anime came out. I remember he was watching it and mentioned, “Everyone is going mad for this anime online and how good the animation is. Especially compared to Berserk!” For anyone that isn’t aware (I can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it before or not…), Dane is a massive Berserk fan and like many, was disappointed with the animation style for Berserk 2016.
What got Dane into My Dress-Up Darling was, “I had seen a gif on Reddit of Marin dancing in her bikini (taken from episode two) and without sounding perverted, I really liked the animation style and character’s design. I was immediately enamoured with Marin and wanted to know more about her… Besides her bikini choices.”
The GIF in question, more frames than Berserk 2016. Image taken from Tenor
I think Dane had watched a couple of episodes before I decided to give it a go, which he was more than happy about. I watched the first episode and craved more! We’ve been happily watching each new episode every Saturday morning ever since. It’s always been something to look forward to throughout the past couple of months, especially coming up to the weekends. Since the start of the year we’ve been having regular anime weekends where we sit and binge watch any that have new episodes or ones we’ve discovered and have started to watch together.
There is a huge elephant in the room when it comes to My Dress-Up Darling and it’s the amount of fan service, or arguably… Perverse shots that are in the show. It’s a topic that has blown up all over the internet, which I can understand. I don’t get some of the scenes in question that they chose to animate, and whilst I never feel uncomfortable, I do question it. I know a lot of people have also stated after seeing the “lewd” animated scenes, they stopped watching it, as they no longer wished to support the anime. I personally think its a shame that this happens as it affects everyone who has worked on the anime in question (not just speaking about My Dress-Up Darling here!). As I said, it doesn’t personally bother me, but I do question some stuff. The animators of the show (who may have also worked on the manga too) were probably given a clear vision to be like the manga, so, they have.
As I always do, when I really fall in love with something I always like to try and get some merchandise of it, official or fan made merch at that. I’ve seen one piece of official merchandise I’d love to pick up (key chain) but I’d also love a t-shirt with Marin on, especially pulling one of her many happy faces that she’s pulling during the opening credits of the anime.
Marin is very much loved in the community right now for both her personality, as well as for how pretty and “perfect” she is. I guess it’s because we can all relate to her one way or another as anime, manga and game lovers who just want to show off how much we love characters we watch, read and play as. I’ve personally only cosplayed twice, my first time as Lucy from Elfen Lied and my second time as Cartman’s The Coon from South Park. Both times were so much fun, especially the latter as so many people were telling me and Dane (he dressed up as Kenny’s Mysterion persona) how amazing we looked.
I’d love to cosplay as so many characters and people but I just don’t think I have it in me. I’d be so self conscious the whole day in case anyone judged, if I did the character wrong and more.
So, watching My Dress-Up Darling is a nice way of seeing how people DO get their cosplays together, how happy it makes them feel, the learning processes behind it all and more. Plus the friendships Gojo and Marin make together and with others is really lovely to see. OH and to add, it’s so cool to see how they drew parts of Tokyo. Me and Dane are especially missing Japan so far this year and are craving going back, especially when watching anime where it’s set in areas we stayed/ventured to.
Now I’ve spoken a little about My Dress-Up Darling’s anime, I want to touch upon the manga a little, which I’ve been speed reading the past week since I got volume three! I won’t talk too much about it, as I’ve already spoken a lot about the anime as it is.
The manga (from what I’ve read so far) is pretty much identical to the anime. I can’t say as I’ve noticed any massive differences so far, which I like. The manga style is gorgeous to boot by the way and is very similar again to the anime. I know some manga styles differ to the style when you watch the anime (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid being a good example of this…) but thankfully this didn’t do that.
At the time of writing this, season one of My Dress-Up Darling has come to a close and what a close it was to a show so many of us adored! I won’t say too much of what happens in the episode itself due to spoilers, etc, but for anyone who is watching (from January, or if you decide to watch it after reading this post), please make sure to continue watching episode twelve after the credits begin… There’s a bit at the end that really rounds up the season perfectly.
Overall I’ve fallen head over heels for My Dress-Up Darling, which is also bad news because now not only do I want as much merchandise from it as I can get my mitts on, but I’m also sad that the anime’s first season is coming to a close this weekend.
I’m already planning on watching the dub version, just so I can enjoy it all over again, as well as ordering the Marin Nendoroid when it releases too! Me and Dane have been talking about whether a DX version will release too, where Marin will have all her cosplay outfits to dress up in too! Otherwise, an additional set of outfits for this would be great. Good Smile Company would miss a trick not doing that!
If you’d like to watch My Dress-Up Darling yourself, you can find it on both Funimation and Crunchyroll!
So, have you been watching My Dress-Up Darling? If so, what do you think of it? Have you been watching the dub, or the sub? Of course, have you also read the manga? Maybe you hadn’t heard of it until now, has my post inspired you to watch? Make sure to let me know all your thoughts in the comments below!
Until next time guys, have an amazing weekend and I’ll see you in April! 🙂
Hello 2022! I can safely say it’s already been pretty crazy/crap for me and I can only hope it gets better from here! For the first couple of weeks of the year, both me and Dane have been really poorly (no, it wasn’t Covid, thankfully!). Not only have we had colds, but also a chest infection, which has really sucked. I’m still suffering with a loss of voice and cough, but I’m hopeful this will be gone by the end of this week.
Alongside that, 2022 is already flying by what with my birthday being almost a week ago already, as well as payday and Chinese New Year only a couple of weeks away too!
It wouldn’t be January though without one of my monthly posts, with the first official post of 2022 (not including my Happy New Year post…) being my wish list for January. I’m not going to lie guys, I’m seriously trying to be good this month, what with a longer wait until payday, as well as being spoilt over Christmas and birthday last week. However, there are some cute buts and pieces I’d love, but also have pre-ordered that are due out this month.
So, sit back and grab a hot drink as I show off and talk about my wish list for January 2022.
Dr Martens Devon Heart Leather Platform Boots – (link)
I don’t need a new pair of Docs, but I’d like a new pair… Why? I don’t actually know. I’m going to blame all the fashionistas on Instagram inspiring me. In 2021 I really started to think about fashion and more about how I wanted to start dressing again. However, Covid and lockdowns have prevented me from really getting out there with my new pieces. This being said, it doesn’t stop me updating. 😛 I love the couple of pairs of Docs I own, but a simple zip/buckle up pair would be really nice to own! Docs can be a little cumbersome to do up at the best of times and sometimes I can’t be arsed for that. These would look great with dresses, skirts and some trousers too! This won’t be a purchase I make anytime soon, but definitely a nice one to have on the list.
This is a pre order I’ve had with Gamersheek since about April 2021 and it’s crazy how quickly time flies, isn’t it?! I seriously can’t wait for my Hamtaro Nendoroid to arrive. I was never able to watch the show as a kid, but I spent many IT classes and lunchbreaks at school on the internet looking at the Hamtaro website. It was all in Japanese and I didn’t understand a word, but I found colouring pages I would print off to colour at home and more. I loved it and I wish I had found the show it watch when I was younger. This being said, it’s never too late and this year I’m planning to try and find the show to binge watch!
I discovered these gloves around Christmas and was dead set on ordering myself a pair, as the UK is pretty damn cold at the moment… However, I’m going to wait until payday at the end of January to order these! As many readers will know, I love Animal Crossing and I especially love being warm, so a cute as fuck pair of gloves like this, is a definite must. These are Nintendo Tokyo store exclusive too, so I’d especially love to get hold of them if I can for sure. I’ll be picking them up from Meccha Japan, which is a Japanese store I recently discovered. I’ll be writing a review about them VERY soon so make sure to keep eyes peeled for that!
This is an item I added to my wish list and semi regret for a few reasons. First reason, it’s actually out of stock now and not like to be back IN stock, so it feels sort of pointless. Second reason, I really did fall in love with this jacket and wanted, but since looking back I think the COMPLETE opposite now. It’s bloody expensive for what it is at £75, but I don’t think it’s my style… When I was in Japan in 2020, I saw a fluffy jacket similar to this one (baby pink, dark purple, black, white and red) and I really fell in love with it, but never bought due to how much it cost and again, not my style. I do love soft things like this and the idea of having one as a jacket would be great, but at the same time, I have a dressing gown at home to snuggle in and it was half the price. 😛
If there is one thing I have really been craving to do lately, it’s cross stitching. It’s also an old childhood hobby I picked back up towards the start of 2021 and didn’t continue with into the latter of last year. 2022 is going to be different and I really want to try and do as much cross stitch as I possibly can! My best friend (hey Gab!) bought me an Animal Crossing Shino cross stitch kit for Christmas, which I’ve been enjoying doing so far! I’ve also seen a cross stitch pattern I want to make into a project and buy to do and hang up by our front door. I’ve also seen this cross stitch kit that I would also love to do and hang in the house somewhere. Unfortunately the kit is currently sold out, so I’m hoping it comes back into stock soon so I can give it a go! When I’m paid at the end of the month, I’m planning to go to Hobbycraft to grab some goodies so I can start my project!
Finally I have saved one of the best for last and it’s the new Pokemon game Legends Arceus! I’ve had this pre ordered for both me and Dane for quite some time now from Gamersheek and I’m hella excited to chill with Dane the weekend its out and play as much as possible! As Cyndaquil is the fire starter and my favourite starter ever, this will be my Pokemon of choice! I can’t speak for Dane which one he’ll pick. I decided in 2022 to start making my way through current games I own and make a list of them on a completion thread I’ve created on Twitter. I’ve linked it for you all here to keep tabs on, but I wanted to say again a massive thank you to my friend Connor for inspiring me to do this! Connor did this in 2021 and it was so inspiring to see him progress through his games collection.
So, there we have it guys, my wish list for January! What do you guys thinks? Any items you’ve spotted that you’d love to? Or maybe you already own them or have them pre-ordered too? Make sure to let me know in the comments.
Until next time guys, take care and I hope you’re having a great week so far!
I still can’t believe it’s November already, let alone the end of the second week! This month is flying by and before we know it, it’ll be December. I need to start planning what I’m going to buy people for Christmas and whilst this year doesn’t seem too bad for ideas, I do feel like I’m kind of out of ideas(?).
This months with list was pretty hard for me to put together as I really struggled! Four of the items on this list are either items I’ve order, or already pre-ordered. I think I struggled due to Christmas coming up. I’m not really buying a fat lot right now, I need to keep items available for potential Christmas present ideas for Dane.
This being said, some stuff on this list (that aren’t orders/pre-orders) are things I’m hoping to buy at some point this month… We’ll see. 😛
Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this months wish list hopefully shows off some items you guys may want to pick up too! 😀
Pokemon Funko Pop! Advent Calendar.
The first item on this months wish list and unfortunately… This is really hard to get hold of now. Putting this out there now for anyone who may ask later. This advent calendar was announced back in August and shortly after Pop In A Box UK popped it up for pre-order, which I jumped on before going to bed. When I woke up, Emily (Totally Emily) had mentioned that the advent calendar was no longer on the website… I was a bit worried and decided to drop an email to Pop In A Box UK to find out if my order was going to be cancelled. I’d not received confirmation of it, so I could only assume my order was okay. Later I found out that my order was safe, but the advent calendar had been taken down from the website due to how quickly it sold out! I’m due to get this in the post this month and I’m honestly so excited! I do love the Pokemon Funko Pop! figures, but I don’t want them at the same time. I only own the Mew Funko Pop! and that’s enough for me. With the little mini versions however, these will be cute to pop in displays in our office living room and bedroom, as well as stick on top of my desk monitor. 😛
This is a Christmas ornament I really wanted to buy last year, but never did due to the price of it. Christmas was expensive last year as I not only spoilt Dane, but myself with buying loads of stuff from American independent artists. This year both me and Dane have decided to do the house up as much as possible this year for Christmas, including popping some more lights up! Seeing as we’re thinking of doing the house up more Christmassy this year, a part of me wants to actually snag adorable AF reindeer wooden ornaments. I’d pop them on our fireplace, potentially with some battery operated fairy lights.
Persona 4 Golden Nendoroid P4G Hero Yu Narukami – (link)
I’m always excited for Nendoroid releases, especially when you’re counting down the months from pre-ordering. I’m a massive Persona 5 fan, and Persona 4 Golden is still a game I’m playing at the moment. I got stuck on a boss and I’ve been debating whether or not to restart that game… ANYWAY I couldn’t resist pre-ordering Yo Narukami, the hero in Persona 4/Persona 4 Golden. He won’t be going with my Persona 5 collection, but he’ll go in mine and Dane’s game Nendoroid section of our collection! I’ll make sure to show him off on Instagram when he arrives at the end of November. 😀
This is something I ordered last week when I ordered my Animal Crossing series 5 amiibo cards! As some of you may know, I’ve been collecting the Animal Crossing amiibo figures since the summer now and currently I only have two/three left to buy, Timmy & Tommy and Kicks, as well as Smash Isabelle if you want to include her. On places like CeX they’re selling the Isabelle summer outfit amiibo for £15.00, whereas the official Nintendo UK store sells this one for £10.99… So go figure. 😛 I waited to see if the series 5 amiibo cards would land on the Nintendo UK store, which they did so… Yeah I popped her into my basket too. 😛
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl – (link, link and link)
I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!! November is an amazing month for games and I honestly cannot wait for this to come out next week, I just wish I was off work to play it all day. xD This being said, I’ll be spending all the weekend it’s out playing it. I bought both Diamond and Pearl, just so Dane can play Diamond if he wants to, but so far he isn’t fussed… Which is fine, I can keep Diamond for myself to grab any special Pokemon for Diamond, as well as the starter Pokemon. PLUS, if I wanted to stream myself playing one of the gen four remakes, I’d be playing Diamond. Pearl was my gen 4 game of choice (as well as Platinum) back in the day and I loved it so much, so I’m already excited about the nostalgia I’m going to feel again. 🙂 ALSO an FYI, I’m planning on writing next week about all the games that have come/coming out this month that I’m excited for and loving, so make sure to keep eyes peeled for that!
PVRIS Gig Tickets.
Finally, we have a random wish list item… But one I would really love to snag. When I moved to my current role at the start of 2019 I discovered PVRIS through listening to Kerrang! Radio during the working day, as well as driving to and from the office, and since then I’ve been in love. I missed seeing them in the UK when they did an intimate tour in 2020, so I’d love to finally go and see them next year! Why haven’t I ordered tickets then? Well, because I’m anxious. I’m anxious due to COVID and I don’t really know what the future holds? I’m seeing My Chemical Romance in May 2022 (just weeks after the PVRIS gig) but as I booked that back in January 2020, (when COVID wasn’t such a big thing) and how heart-breaking it was to get those tickets, I’m not willing to cancel the tickets for MCR. Thinking of it logically, I’d hate to get COVID from the PVRIS gig and then not be able to attend the MCR gig so… I doubt I’ll buy tickets unless it’s last minute, we’ll see.
So, there we have it guys, my wish list for November! I know it isn’t anything amazing, but with it being so close to Christmas, November is usually quite quiet.. Which is fair in every circumstance.
To think, the next wish list I’ll be writing will be for Christmas now! I seriously can’t believe how quickly the year has flown, it’s scary in a way, isn’t it?
What do you all have on your wish lists for this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below, I’m always intrigued at what people have on their wish lists too. 🙂
Until next time guys, I hope you’ve have a lovely week and take care!
Not going to lie guys, I feel like my blog is a little all over the place this past couple of weeks! I usually schedule and get posts out on a weekend, but that hasn’t been happening recently. I do apologise, just life has been a bit messy of late. 😦
As always however, one of my monthly posts includes my monthly favourites! Most of the items on this list really are wished for, with one being a pre order I’m expecting this month! I’m on a spending ban for a while now so majority of the items mentioned this month won’t be bought and probably added to a Christmas wish list later this year. 🙂
I hope you guys enjoy the cute items on this months wish list and apologies that it’s a little late this month.
Good Smile Company Pokemon Marnie Nendoroid (with bonus!) – (link)
First of all with this Nendoroid I want to mention, this is limited and is no longer available to pre order. You may be able to find it for sale on the internet, but I’ve already seem it around for £80 plus, which is shocking!
I’m really excited for my Marnie Nendoroid! Aside from owning a handful of Pokemon Nendoroid’s at the time of ordering Marnie, this Nendoroid really did encourage me to try and collect the rest! I made sure to pre order the one with the bonus too, so I’ll get an angry Morpeko with it too! 😀
I’ve had this sausage dog pin on my wish list via Etsy for who knows how long now. It’s one I discovered through Instagram and I’m still yet to order. The reason I haven’t yet is due to the shipping from the USA costing more than the pin itself! This being said, I can see me getting it in the future when I fancy a treat. It’s definitely a pin I want in my collection, it’s just so bloody cute! 😀
Black Milk Clothing Good Spirits Bishop Skater Dress – (link)
Black Milk Clothing are bringing out their Halloween collection in a couple of days (late Monday night for the UK!) and this gorgeous ghost dress is part of the collection this year! I love the bishop skater dress style, it’s so flattering on me and makes me feel beautiful every time I wear it. So, when Black Milk Clothing announced this dress with the cute ghosts on it in the bishop style, I KNEW I had to have it! 😀
I really want to get back into resin and this for sure isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned this mold on my wish list! I love Bee and Puppycat, so it would be wrong of me not to own a mold with them both on it! It would be cool to make some keychains of the two for myself, as well as to sell if people were interested! The shipping on this isn’t cheap however… So it may end up becoming a big(ish) Christmas present idea…
This is an enamel pin I’ll be ordering once I get paid at the end of the month. Back in 2018 I discovered this pin via the Kickstarter campaign that made it happen! Sadly I didn’t back the Kickstarter, which I’ve regretted since. I recently decided to have a look online to see if I could find the pin for sale and low and behold the person behind the Kickstarter still has some available on their website! I dropped her a DM on Instagram for a chat in regards and when payday rolls around, I’ll finally snag myself one. 🙂
Finally we have a candle on my wish list! I do love candles, even though I haven’t bought one for AGES due to using up all my wax tarts from Cushty Co. TK Maxx have really gone for it this year in regards to Halloween goods and I’ve been loving seeing everything! I recently ordered myself through a personal shopper the ghost candle everyone has gone mad for (still waiting for it to arrive…) but I would love to snag this caramel apple candle eventually! I still have so many wax tarts to get through though, so this may never be mine…
So there we have it guys, my wish list for September! I know it isn’t anything amazing, but I’m loving all the cute goodies I’m getting and hoping to get soon or on payday. 🙂
What items do you love on the list? Also, what items are on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments!
Until next time guys, take care and have a lovely weekend. 🙂
Guys it’s the first favourites post of 2021 and as I mentioned in the last favourites post of 2020, I’m going to make some changes.
The first change you will have noticed is my favourites post hasn’t been posted on 1st of the next month (aka February). Instead I have decided to post on the last Sunday of the month as it made more sense. I prefer to have my posts go up on once a week and on a weekend, with the occasionally post going up in the week.
Alongside that my favourites will not contain less beauty and more general/lifestyle items, which I started in the previous favourites post back in December (you can read my November Favourites ’20 here)I have decreased my five beauty items to just two now. I thought two was enough to talk about as sometimes I do discover new and older items that I always like to share with you all.
As well as that I will be trying to talk about more random favourites too, whether they be clothing, food, items I’ve purchased and more!
I hope you enjoy the changes I’ve started to bring to my blog. I just want to try and make it more geeky these days. 🙂
Beauty
Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion.
I’ve been using this moisturising lotion on my hands throughout the days to help the dermatitis on my hand. My new steroid ointment from the doctor has actually helped my hand the most, but when I first started to use the Aveeno lotion it really did help. My hands would feel so soft in the morning when I woke up and it was almost as if they weren’t mine! This stuff is amazing though and is specifically for people with very dry skin like myself. This one I bought in particular is actually for all over the body, but I use on my hands mainly. I recommend so much if you have skin complaints like myself.
Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Cinnamon Bear.
This is something I picked up in the sales just before Christmas and I’ve been wearing it on and off between Christmas Eve and now. I’ve never tried the Too Faced lip plumpers before and whilst I’m not arsed about my lips being huge it can be a bit different. Granted, this doesn’t plump my lips loads, but the colour itself is what I love the most. It’s a light red colour and really does give you a nice pop if you don’t want to wear lipstick but want SOME colour. Plus this will be great to apply over a lip tint for some gloss and that bit of plump. One thing I don’t like about this is the smell. It smells of cinnamon and quite frankly that doesn’t belong in ANY lip product.
So… Now it’s time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month! If there isn’t anything I’ve done I’m not going to mention. Aka reading – so favourite book won’t be mentioned and the same for music too. I haven’t listened to much different than usual this month.
Favourite TV Show – It’s a Sin.
If there is something I have been DYING to share with you this month it’s definitely It’s a Sin, Russell T Davies’ new drama on Channel 4/All 4. I am a massive fan of Davies work and whenever he has brought something new to Channel 4 I’ve watched it as soon as it’s live, this includes Cucumber and Banana. “It’s A Sin follows the story of the 1980s, the story of AIDS, and charts the joy and heartbreak of a group of friends across a decade in which everything changed.” Davies does a great job at writing realistic drama and It’s a Sin to me is his best work yet. This drama will make you smile, cry and feel heartbroken by the end of it. I watched it over a week ago and binge watched it in a whole day. I went to bed really early that evening as I was so mentally drained. We follow a group of friends who have all moved to London for similar reasons, whether it be to study, get away from family or for work. They all live together and all experience the same things, included AIDS. I don’t want to talk too much about this show because I don’t want to worry I spoil it for anyone. If anything it opens your eyes to how the gay community had to deal with AIDS as it came to UK. It reminded me of COVID a little. Give this show a watch, please and make sure to have a box of tissues handy because you’re going to need them. It’s free to watch on All 4 but be wary there will be adverts, but they’re worth it.
I don’t know if this seems like a strange movie choice this month but I’ve chosen it because… It’s been out 23 years and I’ve never seen it… Everyone I’ve spoken to about it was very much surprised. 😛 Dane recently watched this one day whilst working from home and I only saw snippets due to working myself. However, towards the end of January we had an evening to cuddle and watch a movie. Dane decided to stick this on as I’d never watched it and it was amazing! The story is great (it also reminded me a little of 1917 with the plot) and the acting is AMAZING! To be honest, I find any film with Tom Hanks in is good and always worth a watch. The start of this film is brutal, but true. Throughout the film everything is just told and done really well. I know many will have seen this film, but I’m still going to refrain from sharing any spoilers in case. Since watching this film we’ve gone on a little bit of a war film binge. We’re not watching Band of Brothers, a TV series I’ve never watched. 😛
Favourite Game – Earth Defence Force 5.
Guys this is something else I was really excited to share with you all this month… Even though I’ve hardly played it since I started back at work after Christmas and New Year. This is a game Dane had heard about and thought about playing due to how bad but good it is! He showed me the trailer and said, “I think you’ll hate it…” but as bad as it looked, it looked and sounded comical and I was down for Dane buying it for us to play. This game is LONGGGG to play and from what I’ve seen on YouTube there are 11 hours of footage of people playing, that along is impressive. Me and Dane have spent all day playing this before and not even got through a big chunk of the game. Basically the aim of the game is to kill alien bugs that are attacking Earth. There are some weird frog looking things too, as well as a creatures that looks like Godzilla’s long lost cousins. This game isn’t amazing graphics wise but bloody hell it’s good fun with a group of people. The NPC’s random dialogue alone will have you laughing and telling them to shut the fuck up and stop being dramatic. 😛 I recommend it for sure!
Just a few of my favourite things
Razer Kraken Quartz Gaming Headset.
This is by far one of my favourite purchases of January. I bought a Turtle Beach headset back in July but it broke on me last week which I was pissed off about. As I took off the headset after a phone call at work the left earphone literally snapped off! I reported the issue to Turtle Beach and they advised me to reach out to Amazon for a replacement. Amazon don’t stock the headset I bought anymore, so they gave me a refund, which was good! 😀 I bought my Kraken headset the day my Turtle Beach ones broke. In all honesty, I’d wanted to buy the pink Kraken’s back in July but couldn’t justify the price at the time as I didn’t quite know when I was going back to the office at work. These are AMAZING! Both for calls for work, as well as music and calls for D&D games and general games evenings via Discord. They’re not cheap, but I highly recommend them to be honest if you need or want to use a headset like this often!
Ray-Ban Glasses.
I went to the opticians at the end of January and found out I need some new glasses due to a prescription change. I actually found out not only do I have an astigmatism but also that the prescription in my right lens is too high for me… I don’t know if this an issue on Boots part back in 2017 or Glasses Direct who I bought them from. Either way I don’t think I’ll go to Glasses Direct again just in case it was on their part. So, I decided to get myself some new Ray-Ban’s and I’ve gone for this opal brown pair and they’re gorgeous! They’re similar to what I have now but are a pinky brown colour. I’m really excited to go and pick them up next week! 😀 I’ll show them off to you when I get them over on my Instagram page (theremightbecoffeeblog).
Black Milk Clothing x Animal Crossing K.K. Long Sleeve Oversized BFT (review here).
This is a t-shirt I have really enjoyed wearing in January. It’s such a comfortable and baggy t-shirt and it’s one I’ve worn often during working from home. I often wear it with leggings or joggers for super comfort! A lot of people have asked me what design is on the front, as well as on the sleeves. You can never go wrong with K.K. Slider!
McDonalds Katsu Curry Chicken McNuggets.
In 2021 I have decided to only have a takeaway once a month. For January I was firm that our takeaway for the month would be McDonalds so that I could try the new katsu curry nuggets! I love katsu curry and I’m not going to lie, I have a soft spot for McNuggets too! These are REALLY good and the only way I can describe them is McNuggets but better! They’re crispier/crunchier and have a slight curry flavour to them. I have to say, I wish these were permanent. They’ll be gone next month around Valentine’s Day.
Danboard Nendoroid.
This is the final item I’ll be talking about this month and it was one of my Christmas presents from Dane, a new Nendoroid and one I’ve been after for aggges! Danbo is from the manga Yotsuba&! – which I haven’t read but always heard things about. It’s by the same author as Azumanga Daioh – which is one of my favourite manga/anime series. I almost bought this Nendoroid whilst I was in Japan but left it. I finally got some batteries into Danbo as his eyes light up! We’re really “funny” with our Nendoroid figures and like to keep them in cabinets so they don’t get damaged or covered in dust, however so far Danbo has sat on our desk so that I have a “buddy” during the days in the week whilst I work and Dane has him during the evenings and weekends. I do really love him and he makes me smile to look at whilst working.
So there you have it guys, my favourites from January! This month really flew by and I’m kind of excited for February now. I have my new glasses to pick up soon, we’re making some changes around the house, new hobbies to play with and more. I’m also excited it’s a shorter month as with my new glasses AND an MOT tomorrow (keep fingers crossed for me that nothing is wrong!) I’m already skint. 😛
What have been some of your favourite things from January? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!
Until next time guys, take care and see you soon!. 🙂
Can you believe it’s Christmas Eve already? We all say it don’t we? “This time next year we’ll be doing it all over again!” and here we are. 😛
Christmas this year is a strange one for all of us. Last year I wasn’t really in the right frame of mind for Christmas, but that was due to the mixture of excitement and nerves about going to Japan in January. My head was just in a space of preparing for the trip. This year at the time of writing this post (a few days prior to Christmas Eve) I’m not feeling festive… Not even with everyone’s (and my own) Christmas presents wrapped up in front of me, ready to be delivered to their homes. It’s obviously due to COVID but I’m hoping come Christmas Day both me and Dane will be feeling festive and merry as we cook our dinner together, drink as much as we feel in the mood for and just enjoy the day together… Which will be a first.
Christmas to me is about showing your loved ones how much they mean to you, and I don’t just mean with gifts. Christmas is a time of celebration and being together as a family, no matter how big or small. This year is different as some people may be on their own at home or with their small family and cannot be with bigger families this year. I’m sad not to see my parents this year, especially my mom after what a rubbish few months we have had. However, we have a plan and we know it’ll work. We’re just going to Facetime each other when we’re due to open each others gifts and have a drink, etc etc. It’ll be good. I’ve already spoken to my mom this evening (I’m not writing this on Christmas Eve!) and we’re happy enough with what we plan to do.
I have to say, my mom has sent two MASSIVE boxes… I wonder what she’s bought me… 😛
I want to add my yearly reminder here about taking care of yourself over Christmas. It’s really hard for people this year with COVID, but I’ve been there at Christmas where my mind is in a dark place and I’ve needed someone to talk to. You are not alone. I’m going to pop some contacts below for the UK of who you can reach out to this time of year. Please use them if you need to, they’re there to help. Plus, my DM’s are always open on Twitter (maybeecoffee) and Instagram (theremightbecoffeeblog) if you need someone to talk to.
Anyhoo – onto the wish list for this year! I want to add here, whether I received the items mentioned or not, I am always grateful for whatever I do receive. 🙂
Since our second Christmas together me and Dane have always bought each other Nendoroid’s for Christmas, which has ranged from just one, to four as the years have gone by. This year isn’t any exception BUT we know what character we’ve bought one another. However, I don’t know if Dane has bought me a surprise one… Which could be Danbo! This is a Nendoroid I was going to buy this when we were in Japan in January but I ended up leaving it. It’s from a manga that I haven’t read but have always meant to. Danbo is a cute cardboard box, but his eyes light up! Very cute and one I would love in my collection. 🙂
Firebox/Smoko Tayto the Couch Potato Rechargeable Night Light (link)
Last Christmas and birthday Dane bought me some of the night lights from Smoko/Firebox, a dumpling and a bubble tea. They’re amazing pieces for our bedroom and are really bright. I often pop them on in the evenings when I want to relax and chill out. Plus they’re hella cute! So, when I saw that Firebox had the couch potato variant in stock, I knew I had to ask for it for Christmas this year! This is rechargeable too, whilst the ones he bought me last year need batteries, which is even better! 😀 I’m hoping he’s bought it me so I can add to my growing collection of kawaii night lights. 😛
I usually ask for Pandora around Christmas and if I don’t ask, I usually get anyway… Usually from my parents. 🙂 I was asked if I wanted any jewellery this year and this is one of the first things that came to mind as it reminded of our mine and Dane’s trip to Japan this year in January. It’s hard to be gifted jewellery this year because, let’s face it… I’ve become a hermit in 2020 due to COVID and jewellery just isn’t something I’ve really worn for most of this year. 😦 This charm is really cute though!
As I’ve mentioned briefly on my blog this year, both me and Dane got into working and making resin pieces this year. Something Dane asked me if I wanted as gifts were resin molds, as at the moment I don’t really have many and would love more to experiment and play with! I’ve been after the Pikachu resin mold for a while and it’s one that I definitely added to my Christmas list! I have so many ideas of keyrings I could make and that does include the standard yellow Pikachu we all know and love. 😛
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid The Complete Series Blu-ray (link)
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is one of my favourite manga and anime series and it’s thanks to Dane that I actually discovered it when I did. I was having a nose around Amazon and noticed that you can buy the series on Blu-Ray now! :O I know season 2 of the show has been delayed due to what happened to Kyoto Animation in 2019. I would love to receive this for Christmas to binge watch over the festive period, as well as for my birthday less than a week after New Year. I do love receiving anime Blu-Ray for Christmas. 😛
PunfunStudio Eeveelution Heart Shaker Resin Mold Set (link)
The final item I want to mention on my wish list for Christmas time and it’s another resin mold, however this is a set and it’s actually something that arrived today and Dane has given to me early. I sent him the link for this resin mold set that contains all nine of the Eeveelutions (Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon) holding a heart. These are shaker resin molds though! So when you work on them you can pop some glitter, beads etc inside and then pop oil in, cover with a plastic film to seal everything in place and hey presto! You have a shaker keyring/charm. However, I think I’ll be making dry shaker charms to start off with, just to get used to how they work and such. 🙂
So, that is everything that I added to my Christmas wish list this year! That list would have just been something I gave to Dane to give him ideas for Christmas. I don’t tend to do this for my family, his parents etc. They tend to get me surprises, or ideas Dane has given them.
Whilst I may always show you guys my wish lists for Christmas every year, I always get excited to give my gifts to Dane, my parents and loved ones/friends. I’m excited to see their faces when the get their gifts and tomorrow will be no exception, especially with Dane… Who has been bloody spoilt this year. 😛
What do you guys have on your wish lists this year for Christmas? Realistic and non realistic. Unicorns can be included. 😉
I just want to finish off this blog post by saying – MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you all have a lovely day, even with the circumstances and get to see your loved ones online if not in person. 🙂
At the time of writing this post I’m in a pretty bad mood… I ordered a game through Amazon Prime Now so that me and Dane could spend our evening playing it whilst we had dinner. It turned up… But with no game in the box. I made a complaint and to add insult to injury I couldn’t order another copy on Dane’s account. I’ve ordered it on mine now but Amazon need to book their ideas up! I know you guys love catch up/ranting posts from myself so I’ll be talking about Amazon Prime and all the shit I’ve had to endure the past 6 months!
Anyhoo, it’s a couple of days late but I’m here with my monthly wish list for March! The items on it seem so random, but when am I NEVER random, eh? 😛
Disturbia x Charles Peterson Kurt Long Sleeve T-Shirt (link)
I noticed this t-shirt for sale on my Facebook page through an advertisement and I KNEW I had to have it! Well, at least save it to my wish list for a rainy day. I’m a massive Nirvana fan so I’m a sucker for anything like this. I wear my Bershka sweater dress to death so I already know I’d wear this all the time with jeans or a skirt. It’s not cheap at over £30 but all the same, I may just treat myself to it soon. 😛
I discovered this pin through the gorgeous Sarah over at Raiin Monkey and saved it to my wish list straight away! I love pin badges so much but in 2019 I am trying to not buy as many as I used to, purely for the fact I feel like I don’t have enough space on clothing or even time to wear them. This being said I would like to make an ita bag where I would be able to show off all my pin badges on the go! This pin badge is adorable though and I already know I’ll be ordering it in the future as it’s just too cute not to pick up!
I actually have this pre-ordered already through YY Kawaii as she’s one of the few who are stocking it at the moment. She also has him at a bargain price too, so it would have been silly not to take up such an awesome offer. Apart from Ash and Pikachu I don’t actually own any Pokemon Nendoroid’s yet so I’m rather excited to start a new money draining thing. 😛
Like the Kurt long sleeved t-shirt I discovered this mug through an advert on Facebook. I don’t remember if I’d ever visited the Rogue & Wolf website in the past or not but I’m so glad that I was shown this mug as it is GORGEOUS! I’d really love to buy it for myself for coffees at work, but it costs a lot… £20 to be exact which is stupidly overpriced in all fairness. I’ll keep my eyes peeled on it in the future however!
As regular readers of my blog will know I’m a massive Killstar fan and whilst I wanted to try and pick up more pieces from the brand throughout 2019, so far I haven’t just yet. I doubt I’ll pick anything up in March but I’ve seen this gorgeous dress that I would to own for when it’s spring and summer in the UK! I can only imagine I’ll pick this up in April as I’d love to wear this for Dane’s 30th birthday.
This is something I’ve already pre-ordered and pretty damn excited for! If there’s one character game I love playing it’s always Yoshi. I’m not a massive Mario game fan when it comes to platform games I’ve just always preferred Yoshi and even Kirby. I gave the demo for Yoshi’s Crafted World a go and fell in love! It felt so relaxed to play but with some puzzles in there too! I don’t think I could ask for a better game to keep me engaged at the moment. So yeah I’ve pre-ordered it from Smyths which in turn has saved me £5.00 off of the game! Give the demo a go if you fancy picking up something new on the Switch. I’m so excited for this to come out at the end of the month.
So those are some of the items I am lusting after this month! Dane’s 30th is looming however, so I could do with starting to think about what I want to pick up for his birthday. 🙂
Do you have any interesting items on your wish lists this month? I’d love to hear about them. 🙂
Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely day.
