This is sort of a random blog post to write and have up on my blog this evening, BUT yesterday sparked some inspiration for me and I thought it would end up being an awesome post to do.
Two of our friends may be moving by me and Dane in the future and when we saw them yesterday it was just so exciting talking about all the things we could do if we become neighbours. I thought it would be interesting to talk about all the things we came up with here! I mean, it’s not everyday you get the chance to get new neighbours who are also some of your closest and best friends. 😛
1. You will always have someone close by who you know and trust, which is always a lovely feeling. I mean if I run out of milk or eggs I know where I can go to “borrow” some. 😛
2. If you want to go to each others homes for drinks and games evenings you won’t have to worry about being the designated driver, staying over until a certain time or sleeping over. You could just head over whenever and stumble back home as and when you’re ready!
3. You can go for runs together in the local park! Or even go on Pokemon GO gaming days together, especially with spring and summer coming.
4. If you want to go on holiday but worry about leaving the house, you’ll have your lovely friends nearby to keep their eye on the house for you. You could even leave a spare key with them in case you’re halfway through the holiday and realise you’ve left the heating on and it needs to come off to save some monies.
5. You can have cinema nights together at home, cook dinner for one another or even a takeaway.
6. This year we all said how we wanted to start having game evenings once a month, but living near one another we could even do a games evening once a week, maybe once a fortnight. It would be so much fun and like I said before, if you wanted to have some drinks you wouldn’t have to worry about driving home. You’d only have to walk back to your own bed. 😛
7. Evenings in the local are always an option, especially as the summer is upon us and all you need to do is drop a text saying, “Hey wanna walk to the pub later?”
8. Like the holiday one, if you have any pets and want to go on holiday you won’t have to worry about putting it into a pet board or having family look after your pets. Your friends may even be more than happy to look after your pet(s) for a while! I know me and Dane would if our friends owned a dog. 😛
9. In the summer if the weather is gorgeous and you want a BBQ, you can always ask your friends if they want one too and one of you could host a BBQ and games evening, or maybe a film or new TV show you both want to binge watch.
10. Last point being, your friends live right by you and it’s awesome quite frankly! You have so much stuff you could do and yeahhhh you won’t want to hang out with them constantly, but to chill out with them and just have the pleasure of knowing they’re not far away is awesome. I hope it happens quite honestly!
I know this was a really random post and it’s probably crap too, but as I said I had a spur of inspiration to write it and thought if I didn’t I’d regret it!
Would you love to have your friends as neighbours? If so what would you do together? Make sure to let me know in the comments!
Until next time, take care all and I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend.
Let’s just say that life has been pretty damn busy of late, and when I say busy, I MEAN busy! Me and Dane have officially owned our home for over a month now, which sounds exciting, but in reality it has been fucking stressful. Anyone who ever thinks that buying a house, doing it up, and everything else that comes with it is straight forward then you’re in for a shock.
Buying a house is hard work, and if you aren’t willing to put that effort in, then forget about buying one. Rent because that would be a hundred times easier than buying one. Purely because of all the paperwork that comes with it before you even get the keys. Then after that, (of course depending if you buy a new or pre-owned home) you then need to think about decorating, and any renovation you may need to do, hell even in a new home you may need to do this!
Oh and did I mention money? Make sure you have plenty of it, because so far we have spent thousands on ours, and I don’t just mean the deposit.
Our house wasn’t perfect, it has proven to be a lot of hard work, and stressful. Due to these two elements it has really had an effect on my mental health. My depression hasn’t been all that great some days, and for about a week I started to have symptoms of post natal depression… I know that usually comes during/after pregnancy but that is the only thing I can relate my initial feelings of the house to.
I didn’t feel like I wanted the house anymore, and often pushed it away or didn’t want to do anything to it. It was a sad period, and one I soon came out of and am glad to say I haven’t gone back to.
I hope to do a buying your first home post in the future with a guide of what to expect, what not to expect, etc. You get the point. Buying a house is hard, especially when it’s your first one and you don’t have a clue what the hell is going on. I read some blog posts on what to and what not to expect and they did help a little. A huge piece of advice I read was, “Don’t get too excited about the first house you see, because chances are you won’t get it.” This is so true! I will go into more about that in the future though.
As I said at the start of this post, we have had the keys and been working on our house for over a month now, and are we moved in yet? Erm… Nope… BUT we should be this week! We pretty much have everything done and ready, it’s just a few little things here and there, but mostly the bathroom now, which was one of the last things we decided to focus on.
We didn’t realise how much work we had cut out for us until we were in there. I will be writing a separate post on all that however, as I want to do a before and after style post.
As well as the house I haven’t really been doing all that much else… Plenty of shopping for the house to be honest, and working I guess, and I went out with my friend Sophie for a sushi and shopping day. By the way, yes I was sat in a bath in the above picture… With my yellow raincoat on. Buying a house has apparently caused me to act like a bored child on a Sunday morning in Wickes or B&Q.
Other than the house I don’t have much else exciting that has happened… I ordered the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Summer Bundle which was very naughty of me due to how much I paid… That could have gone on house stuff… Meh you only live once I guess! If you want to get your hands on the bundle head over to Beautylish, as they calculate your Royal Mail handling fee, etc into the total. Plus they have two bundles left, so get ordering!
I am also swimming in Deadpool goodies!… Well… Kinda. Dane bought me a Deadpool notebook, as well as some Deadpool festival style bracelets, which I love. OH and speaking of the mercenary himself, Good Smile Company also recently showed us what the Deadpool Nendoroid is going to look like. I want him SO MUCH. All the excitement in our house right now.
I want to show off in this post so much right now all the amazing artwork I have bought for the house so far, but I can’t… I just need to wait to give all the tattoo artists who drew said artwork the credit they deserve!
I’m going to end this blog post with an apology for being so quiet lately. I’m sure regular readers of my blog will understand, and for people who have stuck by me, and supported me I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We haven’t finished yet, but we are definitely getting there now.
Take a picture of me with a sea lion! I recently re-discovered that this existed, and it’s caused me to miss my home in Fuerteventura. 😦
How is everyone doing lately? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below! I’d love to have a natter with you! Oh and don’t forget that you can always drop me a tweet if you do so wish! My handle is @maybeecoffee
Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.
Oh hello July, can you please bring us some more lovely weather instead of all this vile rain!? Yes the weather has mostly been crap in June, but there was also some gorgeous weather too! Which I think a lot of people are forgetting about.
But enough about the weather, it’s now July and you know what that means? It’s time for a new wish list! This one wasn’t exactly straight forward to put together but I managed it in the end, and the majority of the items on said list are hella KAWAII!
Disney Pocahontas Meeko Pop! Vinyl – £10.99 (link)
I’ve expressed on my blog before how I’m not a huge fan of Pop! Vinyl figures, and would much prefer to spend quite a bit more money on Nendoroid’s. However, there are just some characters that Good Smile Company won’t bring out, and there are just some Pop! Vinyl figures I just cannot say no to. This Meeko one is so cute, and who can say that it isn’t, huh? I would want the Pocahontas one to go with Meeko too, eventually. May as well get the set.
Due to the house I am constantly looking at home related things these days, mostly because I still have a lot of stuff to buy, but also because it’s kind of better than looking at clothes. I think this must be something that happens when you move out… Anyway! H&M have this cute matching cat set, but you have to buy them separate however. I probably have enough mugs bought for now, but I rather like the look of this one too! It’s not too in your face either, as the cats face is inside the cup itself, with some little cat ears on the outside. Very cute!
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in shade Rose Matter – $18.00 (or £14.00 from Cocktail Cosmetics when in stock) (link)
I love the Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks, FACT PEOPLE! I want all of the shades someday, but for now my collection has had to be told on hold due to the house. However, that doesn’t stop me from wishing after shades, especially Rose Matter, one of his newest shades. It’s a coral shade, which I love! However, I don’t really know if it suits my yellow skin tone… I’ll wait until I’m next in Cocktail Cosmetics Sutton Coldfield store to check this shade out.
Bee and PuppyCat Comic Book Vol. 3 – £10.96 (link)
I LOVE Bee and PuppyCat and it has fast turned into my favourite cartoon/comic book this year. Volume 3 isn’t due to come out until December, which sucks as it seems like so far away, but it’ll be well worth the wait! I have volumes 1 and 2 and have enjoyed them both a lot, so I already can’t wait for the third installment.
I recently started using my backpack again, and as I used to collect badges when I used it beforehand, I thought I would start that little hobby up again. Now as I love Deadpool, I definitely need to add a Deadpool badge or two to my bag! I currently have some South Park, Adventure Time, and Kurt Cobain badges at the moment.
Disney Store Finding Dory Sea Otter Soft Toy – £12.95 (link)
I saw this little cutie when I was down in London visiting my friend Sophi, and I was going to buy him but I left it. I love otters, so to have a cute little otter plushie would make me really happy. BUT it isn’t a necessity, just something I am lusting after. Maybe if it ever goes into the Disney Store sale.
The bowl is just like the cup, with a cats face inside and cute ears around the edge. Unlike the cup I would buy two of these, one for me and one for Dane, or guests. They’re just simple but really cute, something nice to perk you up in the morning to have cornflakes in before work.
Belle Muerte Hex Black As Your Soul Bath Bomb – £3.00 (link)
What hurts the most about this item is I want to buy one, but it is constantly sold out! I like how cheap it is mind! They have all sorts of variations, from this black one, to blood red, green, purple, etc. I know I’ve never been a fan of any bath bombs apart from Lush, but that won’t stop me from one day trying this one. Quite frankly I cannot wait!
Again, like the cup and bowl this is similar apart from the plate doesn’t have any little eats on it. This again will be nice for breakfast, as well as for lunch. I’d buy two of these to go with the bowls, for myself and Dane, or for a guest.
So that was my wish list for July! I know there isn’t anything super special on there, but to be honest since buying the house, I have a feeling my life might be a little boring. BUT every cloud has a silver lining, because I hope to do more house/home related posts from now on!
What items are on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.
Until next time, take care all and I hope you have a great week!
Woohoo we are well into June now and I can only put the month going by so quickly down to the house! Me and Dane have been really hard at work with the house, which sadly means my blog has been rather neglected lately… I do apologise for that, but I hope my regular readers will understand my reasons why.
However I have just started back at work, so whilst a part of me doesn’t have ANY time now (because of still working on the house) I do have a more time on my hands to get a couple of posts written and scheduled a couple of days a week.
So I thought I would do a not home related post, and instead do a currently one instead, as I haven’t done one for a while.
Watching – I haven’t really had much time to watch a whole lot due to the house, but at times I have managed to catch up on my Netflix and 4OD in the mornings and evenings.
I’ve found myself watching a lot of Only Fools and Horses, which has surprised me to say the least. I do really enjoy the show, but sadly Netflix only has two series on, and a series with all the specials. I want all the series damn you! I was contemplating buying all the series on DVD to just binge watch when we move into the house… But we shall see.
I’ve also been watching a lot of 24 Hours in Police Custody, as I hadn’t realised there was a new series out until my friend Gabriella told me about one episode she had watched. I love TV shows like this, and seeing bad people go daaaawn (down).
A new TV series I’ve been watched recently is The Preacher, which I think is exclusive to Amazon Prime. It’s based off a comic book, and let me tell you it is amazing! Dane told me about it due to Joseph Gilgun playing a main role and thought I might want to watch it. I love Joseph Gilgun, he’s such a talented actor, and definitely one of my favourites. If you aren’t sure who he is, he plays Woody in This Is England, and Rudy in Misfits. He’s really funny in The Preacher as he plays a vampire. I would recommend it to everyone to check out. It’s basically about a preacher… What more can I say?
Reading – I’m naughty… I haven’t really been reading because I’ve not had any time TO read anything. The only thing I’ve really been reading lately are home magazines (can you tell I’ve just bought my first home? It’s so bloody obvious!) just to gain some ideas for the house, both decorating and interior design related. I’m currently flicking through the latest edition of Style at Home which is my favourite one to pick up. It’s cheap at £1.99 and there are loads of great ideas in there from both the writers of the magazine, to average people like you and me, which is what I like about it the most. I think it’s a great magazine to pick up for new home owners like myself, or even if you’re renting and want to get some ideas of how to spruce your place up a bit.
Listening – At this moment in time I’m listening to Nirvana’s first album Nevermind, and it is pretty much all I have listened to the past fortnight. Oh dear… I am obsessed with it to say the least and have especially been playing it whilst decorating the house. Don’t know if Dane or my dad approved, but it is tough! I have always liked Nirvana since a young age when my brother first showed me some of their songs, but I never really listened to their albums until recently. Why? I honestly don’t know! I’m terrible when it comes to music, I listen to bands who no longer exist, or don’t make any more music. I never listen to newer bands. I think it’s because all the newer music is so shockingly shit these days. I don’t know…
As well as Nirvana, I’ve also been listening to a lot of Nightcore. I really wish I wasn’t, because it’s not like I can pay to buy an album. All of their music is on YouTube, which is a pain to download! I’ll admit when I’m moved into the house and settled, I’ll be downloading enough Nightcore songs to make at last two albums, if not three! I find it the most relaxing music to listen to whilst traveling to work, as well as when I’m in work on my break.
Eating – I’ve had chip shop so much whilst me and Dane have been decorating the house. I also forgot how gross Pot Noodle are, I only ate one and decided that one was enough! I’ve also discovered that Tesco sandwiches are amazing, and having a Tesco Express down the road from my house is lethal. So yeah, that’s mostly what food me and Dane have been living off of the past couple of works whilst we’ve been working on the house. I am craving some proper home cooked food.
Wearing – I have legit lived in my old skinny jeans, Fuerteventura hippy pants, old baggy tops, and my Evanescence hoodie for the past two weeks. I mean, what is the point in dressing up when all I’ve going to be doing is painting the house, and probably getting more on me than on the walls? Okay that last part was a joke. But anyway!
I actually forgot how much I loved my Evanescence hoodie until I got it out of the back of my wardrobe recently. I bought it at the first gig of theirs I went to back in 2011 and I remember only paying £5.00 for it because the guy selling them wanted to get rid of them before the end of the night. I ended up buying an XL, which I quickly regretted as at the time I was into wearing all my skinny fit clothing. However I’m not back to wearing baggy clothing and this suits me down to the ground. I’ll probably wear it loads for work now, alongside my new raincoat, which I will be talking about very soon!.

Wanting – The one thing I REALLY want right now is for my house to be done, so that me and Dane can move in. At this moment in time we’re probably halfway to finishing it. Currently the living room is done, and the kitchen will be in just a few days. Me and my dad plan to get the bedrooms done in the next couple of days as well. I guess it just sucks with me being back at work in just a few days too. We’re saying end of June, start of July we’ll be moved in!
I also want to win the lottery so I can pay off the mortgage, and go on a massive IKEA shop and not cry at the bill afterwards. Other than that I actually don’t want much, if anything just stuff to do with my house.
So that was my currently list for May/June, although mostly June to be honest due to the whole house palaver. Again I apologise for being quiet on my blog lately, the house has taken up a lot of my time, and sadly my house is more important. It’ll all be worth it though in the end!
I guess I just want to say thank you to my readers for sticking around with me, and even hello to some new ones! I’ll be back to my usual schedule very soon.
What is on your currently list? Make sure to let me know in the comments.
Until next time, take care all and have a lovely weekend!
Now I have officially announced that I have a mortgage, I am a home owner, and thus I am a motherfucking adult. Oh boy! 😛
One of the many exciting things about buying your own home (and your first at that!) is that you can decorate it however you do so wish. As regular readers of my blog will know, I am a massive geek, and so is Dane, whom I will be sharing my new home with. We of course knew that we would want some quirky bits and pieces in our home, and we’ve already bought some items, and we still have our eye on some bits and pieces.
I thought I would do a blog post today about some of the quirky things that we have our eyes on, or what we have already bought.
Marvel Deadpool Doormat and Deadpool Coin Bank.
I don’t think I need to say anymore how much me and Dane love Deadpool. Sadly at the time of writing this post the Deadpool doormat is now sold out! Which is bad news for us, because we want it for our front door! We’ll keep our eyes peeled for this mind.
Marks & Spencer Origami Swans Wallmount.
I’m unsure if I would buy and place these on the wall myself as at first I rather liked the look of them, but after a while I kind of thought they were a bit… Weird… However I am liking the look of these again, and would love to put them up in the hallway upstairs to give the walk down the stairs a bit of something different. I do rather like the vintage look of the three ducks you can buy, but I would want to get something vintage, instead of the reintroduced trend that M&S are trying to come up with. That and I could make these myself… But out of paper. 😛
Ototo Nessie Ladle.
I know these are bloody expensive, and you can buy knock off ones, which I would be after picking up instead due to money. I love quirky items like this, and as I love making soup, and noodle soup (ramen in Japanese) I would be in awe of this little cutie to serve me and Dane dinner with. I’d want a red one to fit into the theme of our kitchen, but we shall see!
Disaster Designs Fox Lamp.
I love foxes, and have always been after a fox lamp, so when I spied this on Lisa Angel I knew I had to have it. As of yet I haven’t ordered it, but I will be when we’re settled into the house and ready to buy more decor. This will go on my side of the bed in our bedroom, if not on the bedroom shelf.
Marvel Deadpool Coin Bank.
With the coin bank I would love to pick something up like this for our spare room/office for us to pop change into to use towards our savings. You can’t go wrong with a coin bank in the shape of Deadpool’s head.
Temerity Jones Mason Jar Cocktail Shaker.
I love making cocktails, and what better way to make one than in this quirky shaker that is in the shape of a mason jar? This was £5.00 at one point which is how much I was willing to pay for it… Now it’s back to full price, at £10.00 and whilst it is gorgeous, I don’t personally feel it is worth that price. I may as well make my own with a normal mason jar! I’ll keep my eye on this in the future for it to be back in Lisa Angel’s sale.
Fox Coasters.
Again! I love foxes, and I couldn’t be without these gorgeous wooden coasters in our living room, and maybe upstairs in our bedroom and spare room/office. You get six in this set, so that would mean being able to put two in each room, and grabbing them altogether for when we have visitors over. Hell, I wouldn’t even mind buying two sets so I can have one upstairs, and one downstairs!
Luckies Jumbo Elephant Drainer.
I really am liking buying stuff for our kitchen, and considering we’re doing it up the possibilities are endless for what we can do with it. We have a red, black, and white theme going at the moment, and whilst this grey elephant doesn’t fit that theme, it is kind of too unique and pretty to turn my nose up at. You pop your cutlery in this cutie, and he drains all the water away, out of his nose! Eek! Super cute! 😀
Etsy Artwork.
There are various pieces of artwork I wish to buy from people on Etsy, the one on the picture about is a Spirited Away inspired piece by idrawrainbows. She has LOADS of these available on her store, and at one point me and Dane contemplated ordering all of them… However when we discovered how much it would cost us in postage alone, we ended up deciding against it. Nearly £10 she wants to ship these to the UK, and whilst I know this isn’t her fault, it’s a bloody lot! I will be making a separate post about what artwork, or tattoo artists I wish to buy for the house, and where I want to hang them!
So those are all the quirky home goodies me and Dane have our eyes on at the moment for our home. I hope to have some haul posts soon showing off what goodies we have bought for the house, but until that time comes I’ll be trying to get as many posts on here as possible. I’m incredibly busy right now with the house, and I’ve only currently got a couple of posts written because I’m awake into the early hours trying to catch up. Oh sleep, I want you right now!
On that note, it is bedtime! What quirky items would you like for your home? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.
It’s official! Me and Dane both have a joint mortgage, a home, and therefore we are now motherfucking adults! Oh my God.
This isn’t a belated April Fools joke. It has been so damn hard not letting the secret slip on my blog, as well as on social media. Even worse, I’ve had to keep my dirty little secret since the end of February. We have told our family, as well as very close friends.
We got our keys on Friday, and therefore made it “Facebook official”. Oh dear it sounds like our relationship alllll over again. It’s crazy that we officially got our home just days away from our anniversary, which is today! June is definitely our month, and the only thing that could make it anymore our month is if we ever have a pet dog, marriage, or baby in June too. Oh man. xD
We had started to look at houses at the start of the year, to get ideas on prices, mortgages, areas we wanted to live in, etc. Due to me definitely having a job in Birmingham, we decided it would be best to buy a house here, instead of Coventry. Although Coventry is still on the books for the future when we’re having children!
We both found this house towards the end of February, and Dane fell in love with a house for sale two doors down. The seller was being a bit awkward with viewings, so I suggested it would be good to view this house whilst we can, to get a feel for the other. Dane agreed and organised a viewing.
Thanks to my suggestion we both fell in love with this house and after seeing the other the day after, we made our offer ASAP! The house was £127,000, we offered £125,000 and made an agreement with the seller for £126,000. Perfect!
So after a lot of waiting, we finally got told out move in date around the end of May, literally a week before we were due to pick our keys up, as I already said which was on Friday.
It is now Wednesday, and we have been working hard to make the house more our own, and give it some much needed TLC.
I’m not going to lie, it is fucking hard. My mental health hasn’t helped all that much, and it’s made me feel like I have post natal depression… About a house! What the hell?!
The first official day we were there we were greeted by a parcel from Nationwide full of moving in goodies! We’ve pretty much used everything inside of it, and we were oh so thankful! Especially the toilet rolls which me and Dane used on our noses. Our hayfever has been awful. 😦
Since that day I haven’t felt too bad, and my dad helped me start wallpapering the living room, which was a lot of fun.
Me, Dane, and my dad made sure to have plenty of coffee breaks, and I got to test out our new kettle, which is gorgeous!
As well as that my dad has been a complete beauty and made us some flower pot people, one being me (with the flower) and one being Dane (without the flower), as well as doing up one of our old benches for me and Dane to have at the house.
Since we got our keys we’ve had a handful of visitors including Dane’s brother, his parents, my dad, and one of the girls that I work with, who also brought me some moving in goodies, including this cute little BMO toy! He’s going to sit in the office/spare room… When it’s sorted. 😛
Overall this is just a quick post to update you on the huge news in mine and Dane’s lives right now, and also why I might be quiet the next couple of weeks now… Sadly. 😦 I will be trying to do some updates on the house, but as I said I will be quiet for a while now. I’m going to try and make some time to try and get something quickly written up every other day whilst I do decorating around the house, but we shall see.
I hope my regular readers are well, and understand my situation at the moment.
Do you have any tips on moving into a first home? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!
Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week.
1.What are your favourite things to watch on Netflix?
I love watching anime on there to be honest! I’ve watched Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, and Fullmetal Alchemist. I’ve been watching quite a bit on there lately but something I’m watching at the moment of House. It’s a really good show and I can’t believe it’s taken me over ten years to finally watch it.
2. What are you currently watching on Netflix?
House! xD
3. If you could have any series, old or new put on Netflix, what would it be?
I’d like Catfish on there to be honest because I really love it and it’s hard to find online to watch to be honest. South Park would be great too.
4. What is your one peeve about Netflix?
That there’s more newer shows on there than old. I want some older stuff on there too and maybe some British drama too.
This is going to be a different wish list from normal. I have decided that this year I would like to own some things that I have wanted for years, but never had the money to buy them. It’s not as if I’m going to have the money to buy them this year, but I want this to be the year where I go up in the world somewhat, and even if I just end up owning one of the things on this list, I’d feel a little bit better about making my way up.
There are some expensive things on this list, but that’s why it’s called my big wish list. 😉
Vivienne Westwood Tartan Bag.
The first thing I would love to get this year is a new handbag… Well I want a new handbag every other month, but this is different. I’ve always wanted a designer handbag, because if I have to carry something on my arm/shoulder day after day I want something that will get heads turning and make me feel good whilst wearing it too. The one designer handbag I have always been after is a Vivienne Westwood bag, and I still want one! I’ve found this gorgeous one in the sale and I wish I had the money to splurge on it! It’s a gorgeous blue tartan and just looks so professional and grown up, but with a touch of rock chick, definitely what I want! My boyfriend thinks I’m crazy for wanting a bag at so much money, but I don’t care. By the end of 2015, I will have a Vivienne Westwood bag.
Frozen Elsa Nendoroid.
For my birthday I received my first Nendoroid figure and I doubt it’ll be my last! I bought my boyfriend his first Nendoroid figure for Christmas and we’ve both decided that we wish to create a collection of the figures together. We’re already looking at some to place on our wish lists and this one is probably at the top of my wish list right now. It was announced before Christmas and won’t be out in the UK until May, which feels like forever but I know will be upon us soon enough. She’s absolutely stunning and even comes with a little Olaf figure, so cute! Whether I get Elsa or another Nendoroid figure, I’m unsure right now but I know I want to add another one or two of these figures to my collection.
iPhone 5s OR 6.
My phone contract comes to an end towards the end of the year and I already know I want to upgrade to an iPhone 6! They look and sound amazing… Apart from the whole bending in your pocket thing! I’d go for the gold shade as it just looks so classy and different. My iPhone is playing up at the moment which is annoying and I need to get that sorted as soon as I can. I just can’t believe how quickly the time has gone by and soon enough I can get an upgrade! If I don’t go for the iPhone 6, I’ll definitely go for the iPhone 5s as it looks and sounds just as good.
My own place, whether it be a flat or house.
This year me and my boyfriend have set our goal to try and have our own flat/house together by the end of 2015. We’re saving up the best we can and if we don’t have our own place by the end of the year, start of 2016 then so be it and we’ll keep on saving until we have enough money. We’re also trying to decided where we may want to move to, as it’ll either be between Birmingham and Coventry, or maybe even in Coventry as quite frankly apart from my family I don’t really have anything I’m particularly leaving behind in Birmingham. We shall see how it goes.
A puppy! Preferably a dachshund!
With our own place, we would eventually get a puppy and whilst I know for sure this won’t happen this year I want it to happen as soon as it can. It’s been seven years since my dog passed away and I finally feel like it’s time to have another one. We’re not 100% sure which breed we’ll be going with yet, but we’re going to make sure to look into all the breeds we’re interested in to see which one will be right for us. I can’t wait quite frankly but I want to make sure as a couple that we’re both stable financially and time wise as puppies need loads of time and care and as they get older they still need care, as they’re like babies. Still, can’t wait!
2 week holiday to Japan.
I know I’ve only just come back from a holiday but I’m already starting to think about another and somewhere I really want to go is Japan. I’ve wanted to go for years and every year I try and save up enough money to go there, but it’s going to take a hell of a lot of savings to go to Japan. Returns flights alone are just over £600, let alone how much a hotel would cost for two weeks and spending money! I’d probably need to save up nearly £3,000! I’m still going to try and save up though and we shall see.
A new car! Either a Peugeot 107 or a 108.
This is the year I’m hoping to get myself a new car. I’ve looked into which make I want and it’s another Peugeot, which I drive at the moment. I may as well stick to what I currently drive and plus the two models I have in my mind are gorgeous! Plus they’re purple, which is the colour car I’ve wanted ever since I first passed my test. I’m undecided which car I want the most, or which one I’ll get but it’s a toss between the 107 and the 108. Either way they’re beautiful and man I just can’t wait! My car is great that I own at the moment, it gets me from A to B but it’s old and won’t last long on motorways and long distances, which is annoying as I need to travel far for university, to see my boyfriend, as well as go and see my friends. So I’m hoping to get myself a new car this year, this is the main item on here I’m hoping to gain.
So that’s my little list of things I want to get this year, and although I would love them all this year, one will do me… Maybe two.
