From Japan Haul and Review

Hello guys! It’s been a few weeks now since I last posted something and I do apologise for this. Life sort of got in the way last week, hence no post.

BUT I’M BACK and I’m excited to share a new “store” with you today. I know a few people have asked me to share and talk about this website/store and alongside show you guys what goodies I bought too!

From Japan was introduced to me from my friend Emily (meimi132) a while ago now and it’s been a blessing in disguise but also a bit of a curse for my wallet. πŸ˜›

From Japan is an auction and shopping proxy service, as the name suggest, for Japanese goods. It’s really easy to create an account and even easier to search for items, which I’ll go through in more detail.

I’ve used From Japan mostly for buying Pokemon Center goodies, but I do have some Pompompurin, Persona 5 and Nendoroid related goodies saved in my favourites/wish list too!

Not only did I want to show off what goodies I’ve had arrive from my second order (first is still on route!) but I wanted to share my experiences of using the website too a I’ve had a few people ask me.

I haven’t been asked to write this post about From Japan. I wanted to share this amazing Japanese proxy service as I know I talk about Japan and kawaii goodies a lot on my blog. So, some of you may benefit from finding out about From Japan if you never had before, and if you HAVE heard about From Japan but don’t know anyone who has… Hello! Here I am! πŸ˜€

Image taken from Pokemon Center website

My first order is still on route and I regretfully went with surface mail, which can take between one to three months to arrive! It’s already been a month and still no sign so… Pray for me. πŸ˜› Aside from the wait on shipping, this order was straight forward to do so I’m just annoyed at myself looking back at picking surface mail considering how long it’s taking. This is for the Pokemon TCG playmat from the Eevee Sweet Choices collection. It’s so cute and it’s actually from me ordering this that I decided to get my own desk in our front room/office. I don’t regret it, but I just want it to arrive now. πŸ˜›

My second order arrived on Monday and I was so damn happy with everything and how it was packaged! I went for airmail after Emily’s advise and it arrived a week after me paying for shipping, which wasn’t cheap… I’ll get into that little more.

First things first – searching for items on From Japan is really simple! What I tend to do is search for the item in both English, as well as Japanese. This is where something like Google translate can come in handy.

For example – on my third order I was searching for some of the Pokemon dolls. In Japanese this translates roughly to “Pokemon ningyō” or “ポケヒン人归”. I always end up searching for the latter as it tends to find more results.

I more than often always search with Japanese now, but I do tend to have a look with English just to be safe! It was from searching “Eevee Sweet Choices” that I found the playmat I ordered, so it’s always worth using both if you’re after a certain item, especially if it’s rarer.

Something else to note is the stores that you could be potentially buying your goods from. There are three in total that I’ve purchased from so far – Yahoo! Japan Auctions, Rakuten and Surugaya. They’re all great places to buy from and I’ve not faced any issues… However, I’ve found with Yahoo! Japan Auctions and Surugaya that I’ve had a “hefty” (well, in my eyes!) charge for the privilege of someone either bidding on the items or wrapping items up in store to send to From Japan. Sometimes these charges are fair and it’s just one of them things. You do get fair warning prior of these charges, but as I bought so much stuff these charges added up. Please bear this in mind… I was semi gutted at the time but now my items have arrived, I’m not bothered.

When searching for items the search bar will usually cover for all of the shops that are purchasable through the service. If you were only looking to shop through Yahoo! Japan Auctions then you need to make sure to select this store and then search.

Some of the Yahoo! Japan Auctions are buy now, which is really good if you’re anxious about missing out on an item! I find items in the auctions are stupidly cheap and probably the best option to go mostly, but again it depends on what you’re buying, how many and if you’re happy with the charges that come after.

From experience, Rakuten is my favourite! I find their charges aren’t high and that’s always a bonus to me if I’m after a bargain.

When you’re happy with an item you’ve found you want, add it to your cart and then process with the payment. Make sure to read anything that comes up in red, as these could be charges you may be asked to pay and more. Some listings state that they won’t sell to overseas, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for this too as you could be wasting time trying to buy an item.

You’ll be asked to pay “charge 1” – which is simple. Then once this is done, your item will be purchased by From Japan and then the seller will send to From Japan’s warehouse. You can keep a box of goodies for up to 45 days and fill this with as many goodies as you want! I did this with my second order to make the shipping worth it.

When you’re ready for your goodies to be sent to you, you can make you “charge 2” payment. This is where you pay any charges, as well as shipping. You’ll be able to pick and choose which items you’d like to have shipped too and such like that.

Be wary too by the way that some items you may guy may end getting cancelled for various reasons. I’ve had this happen a few times now and it’s a little heart-breaking, but I always have back up items in my wish list if I can in case this happens.

Then you wait for your items to arrive! I didn’t receive any customs charges with my parcel that arrived, but that’s because I asked From Japan to make my parcel as a gift, which was really handy!

I honestly cannot wait to show you guys all of the goodies I bought. These have been some items I’ve been after since 2016, with some of these items being from back in 2013/2014!

First thing I want to quickly cover here is that the Japanese are very careful when it comes to items people buy and take a great amount of care and detail to make sure your items are packaged safely for their trip. There was LOTS of bubble wrap and nothing arrived damaged. Even the box has “fragile” stickers on it.

This is something me and Dane noticed when we were in Japan. It’s amazing, it’s just a shame people in the UK don’t do this too… πŸ˜›

The first items I want to talk about are Eeveelution capchara figures. YY Kawaii gifted me some to share on my blog and Instagram page almost a year ago (you can read the post about them here) and whilst I was happy with just the Vaporeon and Jolteon she sent me, a part of me still wanted to get a couple more. Recently my friend Sarah (Raiin Monkey) had some extras, so I bought Flareon and Umbreon from here. I decided from there that I needed the rest and went on a bit of a hunt.

This is what sort of… Fuelled me to make a second order with From Japan. I had searched the UK for the remaining Eeveelutions I needed and although I found most of them, they weren’t cheap. I found someone selling a set of five (including Pikachu) for the price of one here.

I found Espeon on a single listing for a great price and Eevee, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon on one listing and ordered them! When they arrived they were all brand new in their cellophane wrap and ready to be put together. I really enjoyed myself after work putting them all together and popping them in the office cabinet with mine and Dane’s Nendoroid figures. Sylveon however sits on my work desk for now. It’s such a precious figure that I just had to! May I just add, this Sylveon capchara goes for a LOT of money, so I was glad to snag it for such a bargain price.

The Pikachu that I had in the set I bought is now sitting on Dane’s desk. I thought about selling/giving it, but after looking at it, I thought it would be cute to give him something to have on his desk too. πŸ™‚

The second items I decided to look for and pick up are some plates from the 2018 Pokemon Collection ichiban kuji. I’d wanted these at the time of their release but they were hard to find, especially for a good price so I had to sort of… Grin and bear the fact it didn’t look like I was going to get them. I loved the designs on each plate in all honesty, especially Jolteon and Sylveon.

Whilst I was in Japan last year I found three of the plates! Vaporeon, Espeon and Leafeon. I snatched them up so fast and popped them in my basket. I searched for the rest during the remainder of the trip but I had zero luck, I was gutted. I went to eBay when I came back to the UK but was sad to see people selling the plates for a lot of money… I kept them on my watch list.

Thankfully with a lot of hunting I found the remaining Eeveelutions I was after on From Japan and got them ordered! Umbreon and Glaceon appeared to be the rarer ones of the plates I was after. I’d only seen one Umbreon on the website, which I bought and a couple of Glaceon’s. The prices ranged for these, but personally they were still really good in my eyes, especially when I’d seen how much they were going for on eBay, both in the UK and US.

The plates I picked up were Eevee, Jolteon, Flareon, Umbreon, Glaceon and Sylveon. I finally had my hands not only on all of the Eeveelution plates, but Jolteon and Sylveon – the two designs I really wanted! I don’t think these are

The designs on these plates are all cafΓ© desserts and cakes themed and I love them! They also have three colour variants of pink, blue and white. I already have the three plates I bought from Japan on display in a living room cabinet on little stands, which I plan to do for the rest of the plates too. I’m not 100% sure where they’re going yet however… Dane suggested above my new desk, which may be an option for sure!

Finally we have the items I was SUPER happy about snagging as I’ve been after them for years. From writing this post, I didn’t actually realise how old and technically speaking, rare these items are.

Back when I first bought the house with Dane five years ago is when I really started shopping with YY Kawaii for my cute goodies and it was through her I purchased a Flareon and Vaporeon figure. I loved them both so much and wanted more, sadly she didn’t have anymore and wasn’t able to get hold of any. I didn’t realise at the time it may have been due to how old they were.

The kyun-chara figures came out between 2013 and 2014 for the Eeveelutions, whereas I thought they may have been from around 2015-2016. I’ve been on the hunt for the remaining Eeveelutions for years, but never been able to find them and when I have they’re SHOCKING prices. Now I semi get why.

I found them on From Japan for great prices, not cheap, but great nonetheless for what they are.

These figures have big heads and little bodies and the quality of them is amazing! I snagged Eevee and Jolteon separately and Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon and Glaceon. At the time Sylveon didn’t exist – hence why it isn’t part of the collection.

I was shocked to discover that ALL of these figures were brand new in their boxes, still in their plastic wrap and ready to be taken out, heads stuck to bodies and arranged. I haven’t yet opened the plastic wrap as I’m not 100% where I want to put them… Again I’m thinking above my desk next to the plates, but not sure at the moment.

I’ve literally snagged these items that I wanted because I just wanted to. I saw them and had the money to treat myself, so why not?!

So, that was everything I received from my second order From Japan! I have started to order some goodies to make into a third order… Of course they’re Eeveelution related. πŸ˜›

I remember back in 2017 the Pokemon Center decided to remake their Pokemon Dolls and I’m glad they did, because they’re cuter now than the ones from years previous. I bought Flareon at the time as it was the cutest design, Espeon and Umbreon whilst YY Kawaii was in Japan and then Vaporeon second hand from a Facebook group. Now I’ve ordered Eevee, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon. I’m yet to find Jolteon at all, or for a good price.

Once I have them all, they’re going to be rearranged in my plushie cabinet in our bedroom! I’m so excited to just finally get them all. I wish I’d ordered them all back in the day… But I was still quite new to collecting Pokemon plushies then and was a bit anxious and probably skint. πŸ˜›

So, what do you guys think of From Japan? Do you think you’ll give it a go for ordering some Japanese goodies you’re after? Whether they be Pokemon related or something else?

I highly recommend them and can honestly see myself going back over and over again whenever I’m after harder to find items. The prices are amazing, the shipping is great if you go with air mail and to be honest, it’s a nice little way of window shopping when you’re bored. πŸ˜›

Let me know if you’ll be checking out From Japan in the future, as well as who your favourite Eeveelution is and why!

Until next time guys, take care and have an amazing weekend!

2019 Pokemon Collection Holiday Night Ichiban Kuji – YY Kawaii

I’m so excited to write this post today because I just want to show you guys how damn cute this collection is and was and why I’m so happy to have my hands on it!

I’ve wanted to take part in an ichiban kuji from Japan for the longest time, but I’ve always been so anxious to in case I paid loads for items and won the most basic of things. However, the Holiday Night collection from Pokemon was too damn cute to pass up and I have ZERO REGRETS!

I’ll not only be showing off items I bought/won but I’ll also be talking about what ichiban kujis are, how they work and even which ones YY Kawaii is selling at the moment, so if you fancy giving one a go yourself, you can!

I hope you enjoy this post today, I thought I would do something kawaii and cute, as I feel like I haven’t done that for ages. πŸ™‚

I mean for a start, look how damn cute the promotional image is for the kuji!

First of all an ichiban kuji is a Japanese lottery that to the British can be related to a tombola you would get at a fΓͺte in the summertime. You win a prize every time but the prize depends on which letter you get on the ticket! All prizes have a letter assigned to them with A, B, C and D being the rarer and harder to get prizes and letters E, F and G being easier to obtain. Most kujis will also come with a “last one” prize, which you can win if you get the “last one” ticket. These are extremely rare!

I thought I would pop YY Kawaii’s video above as she explains in full what ichiban kujis are in more detail than I do and considering that’s who I purchased my kuji from, why not! πŸ˜€ Go and give her some love and make sure to mention me. ^_^

So when YY Kawaii advertised that she would be selling this kuji, I KNEW I had to take part! Tickets were priced at Β£11 each or 2 for Β£20.50. I loved everything the kuji had on offer so what did I have to lose?

I’ll link here what the kuji had on offer, as I don’t want to use the promotional photos if I can help it! When viewing the prizes though I had a few things in mind that I wanted to win, including the B prize which is a vanity case and prize D which is the travel set. I loved the other prizes too, but those stood out to me the most.

The prizes overall included three plushies (including the last one), vanity case, travel set, illustrated towels, zipper bags and plastic containers.

I bought two tickets and won two amazing prizes, BUT I also purchased one of the items that YY Kawaii had for sale.

I remember watching the live Instagram video of YY Kawaii revealing who had won what and I couldn’t believe it when I heard I had won the A prize, which is a Pikachu plushie, as well an illustrated towel!

I couldn’t believe it and was so excited when my goodies arrived in the post a few days later.

The Pikachu plushie is quite big to be honest and very sturdy, yet squish-able for cuddles. I’ve been cuddling this whilst sat at my gaming table as I write this post which is super comfortable. If it was acceptable I would totally take this to work to rest against whilst doing work.

This has been sitting on our bed as I honestly don’t know where else to keep it right now! I might just keep it for downstairs to cuddle against whenever I’m playing games or doing blog work. I especially love the pastel colours as it’s really relaxed and nothing too “obnoxious”, especially for the bedroom.

The second item I won was an illustrated towel, which is one of the more popular items you can win. I’m happy with winning this (even though I know many get disappointed with these sort of wins) as I love using the towels as face cloths/flannels. I wish I could have bagged the purple design, as it has a super cute sleeping Dragonite design on. If I can buy this design in the future, I will!

Then I mentioned I picked up one of the items from YY Kawaii, as I didn’t win it. This is the travel set. I KNEW I needed this in my life and I especially wanted it for my holiday to Japan, as well as for travelling anywhere to be fair.

It comes in a really cute box (which I don’t want to throw away!) and is a clear purple bag with images from the promotional photos on. You can see where the Pokemon are having a sleepover with the sat around on a rug reading books, sleeping, cuddling cushions and more. It also comes with three travel bottles with the 1st gen starter Pokemon on them. These are a very generous size too so my 2 weeks of supply of goods I would need to take with me would last for ages in these.

So that’s all the goodies I won and bought from the Pokemon Collection Holiday Night kuji through YY Kawaii!

Do I have any regrets with getting this kuji? If anything, I regret not buying more tickets. πŸ˜› I also wish I could get the vanity case cheaper than it’s selling for right now, as this would be perfect to house stuff in for travelling, as well as in general. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for it in the future.

If you like the sound of ichiban kujis and want to have a go yourself, then please make sure to go and check out YY Kawaii’s Instagram pages YY Kawaii and YY Kawaii Merch to see what she has on offer and if you don’t see a kuji you’re interested in BUT are aware of, you can always drop her a message to enquire about it. Make sure to let her know I sent you! πŸ˜€

YY Kawaii also has some of the prizes for sale from this kuji, so make sure to go and check out her Instagram pages for those too! Again, make sure to let her know I sent you! πŸ˜€

Have you ever divulged into ichiban kujis from Japan? If so which one(s) have you taken part in? If you’ve never had a go yourself, do you think you’ll try your luck at a kuji? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!

OH P.S. I took all the photos in this post on my new camera! What do you guys think? I know they aren’t the best, but I’m still getting used to it. πŸ˜›

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. πŸ™‚

July Wish List ’19

Where did June go? I felt like it was only yesterday that I was preparing for a nice week off with Dane and then BAM HELLO IT’S JULY! Honestly though, how shite was June weather wise? It was well and truly awful to be fair and I’m glad we’re getting some nice sunshine right now. πŸ™‚

I’m currently sat at my dining table with a gorgeous cup of Ed’s Coffee House caramel coffee and I’m planning on writing as much as I can before I need to head out later for a D&D session! This months wish list was pretty hard to be honest with you as I’m trying to be good right now due to Japan coming up, (I know it’s 5/6 months away but it will be here before we know it!) which is boring but meh.

Anyhoo – I hope your enjoy this months haul! I feel like there’s so much Japanese inspired stuff there. πŸ˜›

  • Vans x Lazy Oaf Old Skool Platform (No longer available)

I know these are limited edition and no longer available (unless you pay an absolute fucking fortune!) but I still want them. I regret not buying them so damn much when they came out last year. Like stupidly regret it. Recently I noticed someone was selling my size on eBay at a decent price. They looked legit and when the seller offered to knock Β£10 off – I bought them straight away. Over a week later I was chasing the seller for my shoes and ended up getting a refund. I was so pissed off… I really wanted the shoes, especially for such a bargain. I’m still on the hunt for these and if you happen to find any in a size 7 for a decent price (no more than Β£60 with postage!) please let me know! πŸ™‚

  • Elfen Lied Omnibus Volume 1 (link)

I cannot tell you how happy I was when I recently discovered that this manga was coming out in English. Honestly my younger 16 year old self would have been over the moon with this coming out. Basically this manga has been running in Japan since 2002 – which is nearly 20 years ago now since it first came out. This was the first manga I read, as well as the first anime I watched. Elfen Lied is pretty much what got me into the things I am today, which is amazing to be honest with you so it really does mean the world to me to finally see the manga in English.

Now you’re probably wondering, “Okay hang on Nat! You said you’ve read the manga… But it’s only just come out in English? How did you read it then?” The magic of translation my friends! πŸ˜› Someone translated it years ago online so I remember when I bought my first laptop 10 years ago (FUCK I FEEL OLD!) I found the manga on a PDF reader and basically flicked back and forth over the pages, reading it. πŸ˜›

It looks like there will be four omnibus volumes overall, which the second one due out in October. I would love to see the anime redone – just like they’ve done withΒ Fruits Basket recently. I’d still love to see Elfen Lied Nendoroid’s released too. πŸ˜›

  • Pokemon Holiday Night Collection Ichican Kuji (link)

This is a kuji I’ve decided to do! I’ve never done one before to be perfectly honest with you so this will be a first! It just looks too good to resist having a go on. I’ve regretted not taking part in some of the Animal Crossing kujis in the past and that in itself annoys me. I’ve got this through YY Kawaii on her Instagram merch page (link and link) and the prizes are adorable! There’s a couple of plushies, some holiday travelling essentials, pots and towels. It makes a change seeing some “useful” items in a kuji as opposed to the usual charms, towels and random figures. I really hope I get some good pulls from this!

  • Insert Coin Clothing Persona 4 Teddie Pocket Tee (link)

I’ve already pre-ordered this tee, but I just had to mention it here today as it’s too good not to! πŸ˜€ I LOVE Persona 5, as my readers all know and I have had a go at Persona 4 Golden (which I am currently stuck on!) which I also really love. I’m reading the Persona 4 manga too, which I actually enjoy more than the game… But this may be due to the fact I’m stuck on it… πŸ˜› Either way I saw the cute Teddie pocket tee and just knew I had to have it! I recently bought myself an amazing black pair of mom jeans from New Look and I intend to wear them together loads throughout the summer, as well as the rest of the year. πŸ˜› Of course I would be a fool not to wear this to Japan too.

When this tee arrives – I’ll definitely be doing a post on why I love Insert Coin Clothing’s tees so much! I have this one, as well as their Persona 5 Morgana tee too.

I noticed this mug was going around my Twitter feed about a week or so ago and honestly I have fallen in love with it and I really need it in my life. I really don’t need anymore mugs, but if I didn’t pick this up I would honestly be a fool and regret it until I did. I LOVE Animal Crossing and as an ex barista I also love the coffee theme of the mug. It was always one of my favourite parts of Animal Crossing: New Leaf to daily go and work my shift at The Roost Cafe, as well as sit and drink some pigeon coffee. It looks like the mugs will go on sale on Sarah Dandh’s store on 10th July – so I’ll be making sure to pick one up. πŸ˜›

Finally we have one of my favourite independent artists out there, who has done it again with her recently Kickstarter campaign! πŸ˜€ As soon as I saw she was going to be addingΒ Animal CrossingΒ designs to the campaign, I put myself down for two pins and it will be both KK Slider and Isabelle who I opt for. I actually already have an Isabelle pin by Ohayou! but it won’t hurt to have another one, will it? I don’t have a KK Slider as of yet and look how damn cute this boi is! I honestly can’t wait to get these already as I’ll wear them together on my jacket(s) as well as potential ita bag in the future. This campaign has now finished, BUT Ohayou! is a good egg and will probably have them for sale in her store anyway. πŸ˜›

So that’s my wish list for July! Again, I honestly cannot believe we are over halfway through 2019 now. It’s scaring me as not only does it mean I’m getting closer to being 30 but it also means it’s closer to us going to Japan and I am SO nervous for that!

Which items do you have on your wish lists this month? Do you have your eye on any of the items I have too? Make sure to let me know in the comments below! πŸ˜€

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week, almost the weekend now, eh?

What I Got For Christmas 2018

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! I hope you all had a lovely day, whether it was with loved ones, friends or even (sadly) on your own.

I can’t believe how quick both Christmas Day and Boxing Day went! We just have that little slum between New Years Eve now and as depressing as it sounds, I’m working today and tomorrow… Which was completely my own choice! YES I chose to work. πŸ˜›

However, at the time of writing this, it’s Boxing Day morning and I’m snuggled up in bed and looking through all the gifts I was spoilt to this Christmas and as I always do, I share with you those lovely gifts I received.

Now I understand not a lot of people like posts like these because it’s seen as, “showing off” which I completely understand! I’m not showing off though, I’m just sharing what I received. I love reading and seeing what people get for Christmas, especially when they’re heartfelt and special gifts, where the receiver has clearly been thought about.

If you’re one of those people who think it’s showing off, you can bugger off because this post clearly won’t be for you. πŸ˜› HASHTAG – honesty is the best policy.

Not all my Christmas presents have made it into this post sadly as I’m still yet to receive some from my best friends, but I can always share those in a separate post, can’t I?

Anyhoo, on with the post! There’s a lot of goodies to show off. πŸ˜›

The first gifts I’m going to talk about is what one of my best and oldest friends Sophi bought for me! She gave me my gifts back at the start of November so it’s been hard having to wait until now to open them! She bought me so many awesome bits and pieces and they’re all so fab! I’ve got so many Pusheen items it’s amazing.

These items include a Pusheen pyjama top, three pairs of shoe liner socks, Christmas Pusheen fluffy socks (which will be HEAVENLY to wear around the house!), a stationary pouch (which includes a notebook, blue pen, purple gel pen, two pencils, a sharpener and a rubber), a gorgeous notebook (which in turn I’ve had my eye on for agggges!), a pencil case/make up bag and finally some cute little pin badges! There was also some Japanese sweets inside the pencil case/makeup bag which taste AMAZING!

As well as Pusheen, Sophi also bought me a few Lady and The Tramp items, including a pyjama top and some shoe liner socks. I honestly love all the bits that Sophi bought for me, especially the Pusheen stationary to be honest with you! I’ve always been a sucker for stationary but I love using this sort of stuff at work and seeing as Dane bought me something lovely (stationary wise!) these bits from Sophi are perfect. πŸ˜€

The next gift I received is this gorgeous fox origami necklace and I got this from my gorgeous friend Sophie… Yes, another Sophie! πŸ˜› I wasn’t expecting this so it was such a lovely gift to open when we met up recently. Since she gifted it me I’ve worn is everyday and I adore it so much. It’s definitely one of my favourite gifts I received this year. πŸ™‚

The next gifts I received were the ones from Dane’s parents, which were all so lovely! The first thing I opened was the Empire Cinema voucher, which I found really random but when I read what they wrote inside it was so thoughtful and cute! It’s definitely the sweetest gift I’ve received so far. As you’ll probably see it says it’s for when Detective Pikachu comes out! You’ll see that I’ve blocked out some information, this is just to keep Dane’s parents names private, as well as how much is on the card.

They also gifted me this gorgeous fox hair towel from The Body Shop, as well as a cute patchouli fox candle, which I doubt I’ll ever burn! I think I’m going to keep it by the front door on our shoe cabinet, but I need something to stand it on before I pop it down there. It smells gorgeous to be honest.

Finally they bought me The Body Shop peppermint candy cane sack gift set. I’m so glad I got this as I LOVE the peppermint candy cane scent and I’ve already picked up a few items in the sales. I’ve tried a bit of the body butter on the back of my hand it’s so creamy and smells AMAZING! I can’t wait to try the shower gel out now, as well as the body scrub.

Next up we have the gifts my mom bought for me, one I knew about and two I didn’t. My mom knows me so well when it comes down to buying me gifts and every year not only does she surprise me, but she just reminds me of how much she knows me. πŸ™‚

This was actually a gift for both me and Dane and that’s a massive refill bag of Australian Bodycare’s tea tree skin wash. I LOVE this stuff so much and have done since my mom bought it me as a teenager. I mostly use it on my face these days but I do occasionally use it all over my body, especially in the warmer months. I’ve already refilled my bottle with this, so I’m really chuffed! πŸ˜€

The second thing she bought me is this cleansing brush and it was such a surprise when I opened it! I’d mentioned to her a while ago how I’d stopped using the facial brush she bought me years ago as I found it didn’t work for me anymore… Not as in power, as in what it does to my skin. So when I opened this, oh man I’m so excited to give it a go! πŸ˜€ It’s easily charged and turns on and off easily! Not going to lie though, when I opened it on Christmas Day Dane made a lewd joke… πŸ˜› Either way though this will hopefully work wonders on my skin!

Finally we have what is probably my favourite gift this Christmas. My mom had asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I mentioned this watch to her, which isn’t the cheapest in the world… So when she said she was more than happy to buy it for me, I was over the moon! I love gifts when they’re bought from someone, as they have some meaning behind them. I’ve wanted a new watch for some time now and have eyed up the Olivia Burton ones since I started my job just over a year ago. As many readers will know, I LOVE foxes, so when I finally saw that Olivia Burton were doing a fox design, my heart was kind of set on it. I showed it to my mom and she sent me the money to order it for myself. I mentioned how you could get your name stamped on the band and she told me to make sure I did just that! As you’ll see, I did and THANK GOD they spelt my name right. πŸ˜›

I adore my new watch so much and when I wore it Christmas Day it was so comfortable. I love it. :’)

Finally we move over to Dane and the gifts that he bought for me. He really spoilt me this year and although I feel lucky as anything throughout the year, when it comes to Christmas, birthday and anniversary he always reminds me just how loved I am, as well as just how well he knows me.

These were mostly in the stocking he made up for me, we started to do stockings when we moved into the house and I really do enjoy doing them. πŸ™‚ So some of the items Dane gifted me were matcha/green tea related, which was lovely but so bloody random! πŸ˜› I LOVE green team KitKat’s from Japan and I’ve already eaten one of these whilst writing this post. πŸ˜› He also bought me some matcha knock off Oreo’s, which look yummy, I can’t wait to try those. Finally he bought me a matcha ramune drink… I can’t imagine how this is going to taste! I think I’m going to wait until my birthday to try it. πŸ˜›

I didn’t think Dane would buy me squishes, but he did and he did good! I’m not a squishy person to be fair BUT I do like them as they help me relax whilst when I’m anxious or overthinking. I find they’re great when I’m a passenger on the motorway. He did actually show me these and I can’t remember if he said he’d bought them for meΒ  before or after showing them off to me. I LOVE the fox ninja so much and it’s definitely my favourite of the two, but this being said I love the panda ninja for squishing. Due to the way the paint is on the foxes face, I’d worry it would crack, so the panda is going to be my go to for squishing!

It seems to have become a tradition every Christmas now that Dane buys me Nichijou! I never really pick it up for myself throughout the year, so he does it for me. πŸ™‚ I do really love the Nichijou series, it’s something different and a manga series everyone needs to read! They have an anime version of it too, which I also need to watch through, I’ve only watched the odd episode… I might suggest me and Dane watch it tonight whilst we have dinner. ^_^

I love getting calendars for Christmas and when I opened this one from Dane, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect… So when I saw it was Juniper I was so chuffed! Dane bought me the Juniper calendar for 2018 so it’s nice to have that lovely Instagram famous fox hung up in our living room again! I love writing down stuff me and Dane plan, as well as days off, birthdays and even blog events!

This was something I had a feeling Dane had bought me as he showed it me before Christmas and asked what I thought of it! It’s so adorable and I LOVE Pompom Purin. πŸ™‚ I actually saw this when I was in the Japan Centre in London and I rather liked the look of it to be fair. I’m just not sure whether to have it for work, or for the house to keep my stationary in downstairs in the living room… We’ll see but either way it’s so adorable. πŸ˜›

Bless Dane, he’s such a cutie! When we went to EGX in September he asked if I liked the Spyro pin badges that had been released to coincide with the game as he wanted to buy them me for Christmas. Sadly I didn’t like the look of them… They just weren’t for me in all fairness. So he asked me to have a look around to see if there were any other Spyro items I liked the look of online, alas I found this incense burner and hey presto! He bought it for me. πŸ˜› I haven’t had chance to use this yet as I need to get some incense cones for it, but how it works is you pop a cone into this and as it smokes, the smoke comes out of Spyro’s nose. Funky, eh?! πŸ˜€

This is definitely one of my favourite Christmas presents this year and one I had a feeling Dane had bought me. I spoke recently about this item here and how much I’ve wanted something for the wall behind our bed. Alas I found this awesome wall tapestry online at Redbubble and I just knew I had to have it! Me and Dane plan to buy some easy stick on and remove hooks, as well as some fairy lights and we’ll soon have our room taking some shape after a few years of it looking bare. πŸ™‚

I was rather shocked by the size of this in all honesty, I thought it was going to be bigger like my other Morgana cushion (which you can see here). This was an ichiban kuji prize and as YY Kawaii was selling it, I asked Dane for it for Christmas. Alas here it is! It’s such a cute little pillow and will be nice to use as a head pillow whilst in bed, especially if I’m feeling poorly or under the weather and need to rest my head on something a little more.

These again are some of my favourite gifts that I received from Dane! Again, I had a feeling I was getting something like this for Christmas as I’d hinted to him about it and he’d asked me to put in order which ones I’d like. I’m not only 2 short of having ALL the Eeveelution plushies and I’ve now pre ordered them from YY Kawaii! Some of these were in my stocking and some were in my present bag, so it was a nice surprise when I found out I had another two to open! I cant wait to show all nine of the Eeveelutions off to you in the New Year!

I know I’ve said this for a few gifts now, but this is definitely up there in my top three Christmas presents! I know it’s just a pop vinyl figure and I know it’s just Wall-E BUT it’s Earth Day Wall-E and he’s pretty damn rare now! I mentioned on my post a few days ago how he’s now worth a maximum of Β£50 on places like Amazon and eBay, so the fact Dane managed to get him new for Β£15 on eBay is such a bargain. He’s how the original Wall-E should have looked in all honesty and I just love the look of him so much! He’ll be going into mine and Dane’s manga cabinet and he’ll be staying in the box. πŸ˜›

Finally we have my number one present, which of course is a Nendoroid! I was surprised to only see one in my Christmas bag as Dane and me usually go Nendoroid happy over Christmas, birthday and anniversary. I bought Dane three and he only bought me one. This being said, a lot of Nendoroid’s I want at the moment aren’t THAT easy to get a hold of, or I’ve already ordered them for myself. There’s quite a few of the Yuri On Ice Nendoroid’s I want, mostly the casual versions at the moment BUT I was missing Yuri Plisetsky, so I’m glad that Dane managed to get hold of him for me! I’m going to pose him as a cutie with kitty ears on with the other two guys. πŸ˜›

So that’s all the Christmas gifts I have received so far! I know I have a few bits left to get from two of my best friends, but that’s okay, they’ll be worth the wait. πŸ™‚

I can’t believe the whole hype of Christmas we work ourselves up for is now over. It’s only 4 days now until New Years Eve and then it’ll be 2019. It’s crazy, I don’t honestly know where this month has gone. It’s flown and it’s rather scary to be honest with you.

What did you get for Christmas from family, friends, significant others and more? πŸ™‚ I want to know! I love hearing about what gifts people receive.

Until next time all, I hope you had an amazing Christmas and Boxing Day!

YY Kawaii Collective Haul

I cannot tell you how many months I’ve been trying to write this blog post now! It must have been 3 months at least. It’s just taken so long as I’ve either had to wait for stuff to come out and be sent to me, or I’ve ended up pre-ordering more things and decided to wait for them to arrive so I could do a huge collective haul. Finally all my stuff has arrived now so I can do this post, yays!

I love YY Kawaii and have done for as long as I can remember. She stocks so much awesome stuff from Japan, including two of my favourite things, Pokemon and Persona 5, as well as many other things.

I’ve mentioned YY Kawaii in the past on my blog (which you can read here) and I won’t be stopping talking about them anytime soon.

I hope you enjoy this little collective haul anyway. I’ll pop loads of links to YY Kawaii’s website as well as social media pages at the end of this post.

Just a heads up, I’ll be talking about the stuff I bought in the order I bought it.

  • How To Keep A Mummy Mii-Kun Plush

This is something I had pre-ordered before from YY Kawaii but sadly when she went to pick up the plushies they had ALL sold out so I was given a refund. So as soon as the chance to pre-order came up again I KNEW I had to get in there quickly! Then July came and so did Mii-Kun. I was so excited to receive this plushie and when I did I fell so in love! It now sits by my bed and has so far appeared on one of my blog posts (which you can read here) as he just looked so cute with my pin flag! He wasn’t cheap considering his size but he was oh so worth it! He’s just the perfect size, especially if you would cosplay with him! I don’t think these are available anymore, but I’ve since seen Mii-Kun’s for sale online.

  • Persona 5 Joker Plushie Keychain

When this Joker plushie first went up for sale and pre order I was going to order, but a part of me was put off due to the size. I wanted a bigger Joker plush really. Then I saw people posting theirs on Instagram and I was a bit bummed, but it’s when YY Kawaii did a live video on her Instagram page showing the Persona 5 plushie keychains off that I really regretted not getting one. So I asked YY Kawaii if she could get anymore and she said she still could, so I put in my pre-order and waited for him to arrive. Joker and Mii-Kun actually arrived together, which was amazing! Joker for a while lived by my bed but now he’s on mine and Dane’s manga shelf in our living room. I wouldn’t want to keep him on a bag or anything as I’d be scared he would fall off! I wish I had bought Ryuji and Anna too now. It’s something I’ll definitely keep my eye on in sales etc in future!

  • Persona 5 Morgana Sega Cafe Exclusive Strap/Keychain

I legit ordered this just after my Joker plushie keychain arrived. It was funny because literally not long before YY Kawaii popped these up for sale I had looked at them on eBay in Japan and seen how expensive they were! I’m so glad I ordered it though, even though I’d done sod all with it! I was going to pop it on my car keys or even my Loungefly Star Wars backpack (which you can read about here) but the back of the design isn’t covered, so for how much I paid I worried the back would be scratched off and ruined. It’s happened with straps and keychains in the past and I’ve been gutted. I didn’t want that to happen again! So for now Morgana has been living on my Joker plushie keychain! I’m tempted to turn it into a necklace, but meh I don’t know. We’ll see!

  • 2018 Pokemon Collection Kuji Prize Eevee Bowl

When I kept seeing the 2018 Pokemon Collection kuji online on both YouTube and Instagram, I KNEW I had to have one of the bowls from the kuji! I asked YY Kawaii if she was able to get hold of any prizes separately and luckily she was able to get some of the bowls. I asked for the Eevee one and I was so excited for it to arrive! It’s not the biggest bowl in the world admittedly but either way it’s so cute! I’ve been using it for little snacks such as crisps, pretzels, M&M’s etc. I do really love it but I’m glad I only got one. πŸ˜›

  • 2018 Pokemon Collection Kuji Prize Vaporeon Strap/Keychain

Again like the bowl, I was so excited for this collection and honestly I wanted everything from it. I most of all wanted the Flareon strap/keychain but sadly YY Kawaii wasn’t able to get a hold of it due to how popular it was. Instead I opted for Vaporeon instead! Granted I didn’t need a new strap/keychain but this cute little Vaporeon was hard to say no to and it now lives on my car keys! I love the little jangling noise it makes against my keys. It’s actually quite relaxing.

  • Persona 5 Sega Prize Morgana Cushion

This is the last item on this list and is one that arrived yesterday, but I missed the parcel and had to go and pick it up this morning before work. I knew as soon as it was put up for pre-order that I had to have it. I’ve become a huge Persona 5 fan this past year and now that Morgana is coming out as plushies and such, I really need all the Morgana merch! This pillow is way bigger than I thought it was going to be and I am pleasantly surprised! I opened the parcel this morning before I headed into work and it is huge! You’ll see from the images just how big it is. Not only is it large in size but it is so squishy and soft, I’ve sat here cuddling it whilst writing this post. I cannot wait to use this as a cushion to rest my head on both upstairs in bed as well as on my cuddle chair in the living room. It’s just perfect and it’s definitely one of my favourite things on this haul alongside Mii-Kun.

So there are all the goodies I picked up from YY Kawaii these past couple of months! I wish I could have more on this list but I am trying to be good with money. πŸ˜› I do have some bits and pieces on a wish list in the back of my mind… πŸ˜› Hopefully they’ll become a reality in the future.

As I said at the start of this post, I’ll pop all of the links for YY Kawaii down below.
