November Favourites ’17

It’s December and it’s definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas! This year I even have not one, but two advent calendars and I have work to thank for both of them!

November for me was a mixture of a shit month and an amazing month, the latter outweighing the two. As many of you may have read, I left my old job in retail/hospitality and joined my new job in admin! I’ve just wrapped up my third week and I am still loving it. I just can’t believe how quick those three weeks have gone and I am now well and truly into the Christmas spirit!

This past week though I have been so drained that blogging has sadly taken a back seat. Even my favourites post this month is late being written due to this, so I do apologise for my silence the past week. Blogging will be back on schedule after today, I promise.

For now it is time for me to do the first out of both my monthly posts, the first of course being my favourites!

  • Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel.

As soon as me and Dane got back from our holiday in October, I knew it was time to get the Snow Fairy out of stash of Lush goodies! I always buy in the Boxing Day sales or get gifted a massive bottle of this glorious pink goo every Christmas/Birthday and I always save it for when Christmas is upon us. It just reminds me of Christmas and the closer we get to Christmas, the more excited I get! This scent is just Lush to me. Although not Snow Fairy, The Godmother shared it’s scent with this and that was the first Lush product I ever bought, so that already has a close spot in my heart. I love this shower gel though, but I’m so gutted Lush discontinued the large 1kg bottle this year.

  • Lancome Miracle EDP.

I always forget that I own this perfume, until recently! This is an old perfume to be honest and one that is probably WAY out of date by now. I’ve owned it since Christmas 2012 when my brother bought it for me. It smells so strong and whilst this isn’t a bad thing, it’s definitely changed from what it once was. I decided a week ago that I would use up as many perfumes as possible and just re purchase ones that are my favourites, as well as any new ones I REALLY want. I have way too many perfumes and there’s only one of me. This is a gorgeous and strong EDP though and one that I can only highly recommend for women in their late 20’s and up as it’s a pretty mature scent.

  • L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

This hand cream is amazing and I always forget this. The day I started my new job I decided I would start using this again and my hands are so grateful for it. I don’t really use it throughout my shift, as I use another one but this has been helping my hands in the morning before I leave for work and if my hands are super dry. I still have my massive tube as well, which lasts FOREVER! Best hand cream for sure, always helps my eczema during the cold months.

  • MUA Lip Liner in shade Dark Thistle.

This is a lip liner that I bought to accompany and work with any raspberry pink lipsticks I own and to be honest whilst I LOVE wearing it with those, I especially love wearing it on it’s own with a bit of gloss or lip balm. This is pretty much how I’ve worn it the past couple of weeks and probably how I’ll continue to wear it! These lip liners only cost a £1 and not only do they last ages on their own, as well as with lipsticks but they’re also super comfortable to wear AND even come with their own sharpener. I definitely want to invest in picking up more of these.

  • Carmex Lip Balm in Cherry.

I picked this up for my holiday to Fuerteventura back in September and throughout the whole holiday I used this constantly, only to come home and not use it. I threw it into my handbag the first day of my new job and since then that is where it’s stayed. I use it all the time at work and due to my office being warm this melts a little which makes it so much easier to use than it usually is! You can apply loads of this and it really does keep my lips feeling moisturised and soft. I’ve heard that Carmex have brought out a sugar plum flavour, which I intend to pick up asap!

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – The Sinner.

This is a show that Dane told me about ages ago and had found online for us to watch. I never watched it and neither did he. When we found out it would be on Netflix we jumped at the chance to watch it. We binge watched it in a mere matter of days and the story is amazing! I didn’t know it was based off of a novel until I was searching for the trailer above, but it honestly doesn’t surprise me! It’s a thriller about a woman who murders a man on a beach and no one knows why. You find out more about her past as well as present as the story goes on and it really does keep you on the edge of your seat. If you fancy something to binge watch like this, please watch! I’ve also linked about the main song of the show as it’s amazing and as soon as I finished watching the show I went to find it so I could download it!

Favourite Film – The Boy & The Beast.

I have literally just finished watching this film. For ages now Dane has been trying to get me to watch this and for ages I said, “Nah I don’t want to, I won’t enjoy it.” Well it just goes to show how well Dane really knows me, it would seem more than myself as I loved watching this film. I thought it was going to be full of karate and kung fu style stuff, which is wasn’t. That’s why I thought I wouldn’t like it! It’s by the same people as The Wolf Children, which is one of my favourite anime films, so I shouldn’t have been surprised that I loved this film. This is currently on Amazon Prime Video to watch as subbed.

Favourite Book – Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Vol. 4.

I’VE STARTED READING AGAIN! I took some manga with me to work recently and actually read some, woohoo! It’s nice being able to get back into reading again as I’ve really missed it. It’s especially nice to have my lunch at my desk and read a manga. I have a feeling I’ve got some manga for Christmas this year so I need to make sure I read loads now before then to make sure I have time to read that too. 😛

Favourite Song/Album – Radio Bam.

If there’s one radio show (aside from any Tim Shaw has hosted!) I wish could come back, it’s Radio Bam, even if it came back as a podcast! I always forget how funny and random this show is and not only is the music amazing that Bam Margera plays throughout the shows, but the stories him and his guests (mostly the cKy guys) tell are so damn funny! Well, to me anyway. I’ve downloaded 100 episodes (there are 302 in total) and I’m currently listening to episode 17. The thing that made me think about downloading and listening to these again is the rush hour traffic I get stuck in on my way to work. I love listening to music on the way to work, but if I could listen to an episode of this instead, it would definitely make for an interesting change. I’ve popped up a funny moment above, I will say the show IS OFFENSIVE so this sort of thing won’t be for everyone, it is however for me, so sorry. 😉 The clip above is definitely one of my favourites.

Favourite Game – Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, South Park: The Fractured But Whole and Sims 4.

Oh man this month has been about ALL THE GAMES for me! Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp came out and if you don’t know it by now, I’m a HUGE Animal Crossing fan! I’ve played all the games so when Nintendo announced a phone game, I knew I’d fall in love. When it came out in Australia and I saw my friends in the UK playing it, I was insanely jealous. So when it finally came out recently I downloaded straight away and since then I’ve been addicted.

As well as that I’ve also been addicted to playing Sims 4. Me and Dane played the demo of it on the Xbox One and although we enjoyed playing it, we didn’t like the way it played on the console. During Black Friday we picked it up online for less than £20 and we don’t regret it one bit. We’ve played it loads since and will probably spend most of tomorrow playing it together in bed, as well as on Sunday!

Finally I finished The Fractured But Whole and oh my God what a fucking ending! Although I’m not 100% sure/keen about the game play in the second game, I definitely love the story so much more! You can really see why it was getting delayed for so long, the guys did an amazing job with it and now I can’t wait to play it all over again to try and get all the trophies, like a sad git I am! 😛

So those are my favourites from November! I can’t believe in 30 days we’ll be looking to start a New Year. This year has gone by way too fast, can time just stop for a little? 😛

What were your favourites from November? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you have a lovely weekend!

There Might Be Coffee – 2016 Review

Now this is something I have never done before because I never thought anything special had ever happened to my blog before for me to warrant writing this type of post. However 2016 was the best my blog has been to date and I am so fucking proud of that.

I also saw that The Mini Mermaid had written something like this so she inspired me to do this too.

From having a look at my stats I discovered that the views of my blog in 2016 more than doubled in comparison to 2015! WOW!

2015:
Views – 18,683
Visitors – 12,608

2016:
Views – 39,951
Visitors – 30,987

Top 5 posts of 2016:

Lush Halloween 2016 – 2,560

Give Me Glow Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Bad Gal Review – 2,012

Lancome Juicy Shaker Lip Gloss in Berry In Love Review – 1,866

Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb Review – 1,649

Lush Christmas 2016 – 1,351

I’m not going to lie when I say I am a tad disappointed that not more of my varied posts weren’t on here… But meh I can’t complain! To be honest I am known for my lip product reviews, as well as Lush reviews as well so these seem apt to be fair.

Since me starting There Might Be Coffee in 2011 my blog has grown and here is how much.

I have written 597 posts.

I have had 91,224 views.

I have had 64,427 visitors.

Finally my best views ever were on the 13th September 2016 with an amazing 597 views on my blog! The post that was live on my blog that day was Big Beauty haul.

So what would I change about my blog in 2017?

I would love to attend more events to be honest! I loved attending all the events that I did in 2016 and it was lovely to meet some amazing bloggers along the way.

I would also love to write more reviews and start doing my look book posts again as I really miss doing those.

To be honest towards the end of 2016 my blog wasn’t as active and posts weren’t being written and published as often as I wanted them to be. Why? Well I work in retail/hospitality and with that comes working all over Christmas and dealing with people getting ready for “the most wonderful time of the year” (didn’t just sing that as I typed it…) so as soon as I came home from work I would be shattered and just want to eat, order presents online, wrap presents, read, play games and chill out.

I have noticed since moving into the house that when I lived at home the first thing I would do other than get changed into my pajamas was turn my laptop on. I don’t do that when I get home from work in my house. I still get changed into my pajamas but more often than not I’ll start doing some housework. My laptop gets put on a back shelf and it’s because I have better things to do now and as boring as I sound, more adult matters.

However I am going to try my hardest in 2017 to keep my blog updated and posts published as often as I can because I genuinely missed writing throughout November and December.

I now have a daily journal I use to write down blog ideas and when I’ll be writing them up etc. I also intend to use a notebook to write blog posts in whenever I don’t get the chance to get on my laptop to type up ideas etc.

What kind of posts would you like me to write in the future? Once a month I might pop a little voting panel up on my Twitter so you can go and vote.

Until next time all take care and I hope you’re having a lovely week so far.

June ’16 Favourites

Okay so my two monthly posts have been rather different this month, with my wish list being first out of the two. I usually talk about my favourites from the previous month first, before talking about what I am hoping to buy the month we go into. Blame the house, honestly. It’s all the houses fault!

But better late than never as they say, and I apologise now because my favourites were nothing exciting last month, once again due to the house. OH and I actually have one extra item on my list this month too!

 photo June Favs_zpsppvidnjl.jpg

  • Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15 in Normal/Combination skin

I got this moisturiser free when me and my mom bought some goodies from an Estee Lauder counter, and I didn’t even think I would end up using this, but since my Clinique moisturiser running out at the end of May (and me being too poor to buy anymore…) I decided to give this a go. I do really like it, but at the same time I do have my personal issues with it. The thing I love is how moisturising it is, and a little goes a long way too! The thing I don’t like about it is that it is a cream, which my skin doesn’t usually like. My skin often breaks out with thick moisturisers, which I worried would happen with this, but alas my skin hasn’t had any issues! The problem is due to how warm and clammy the UK has been the past month (as well raining!) it never felt like it was sinking into my skin, and due to that would cause me to sweat. It’s a good moisturiser though, and has done me good over the past month! It’ll especially be great for winter time.

  • Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo

This is an old favourite for me when it comes to shampoo and one I decided to pick up again a while ago as I was after a shampoo that didn’t contain sulfates. This only costs £10 from Boots, which I thought was a complete bargain for Liz Earle! This shampoo smells floral, and you don’t need a lot to get a good lather going. It leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth. I tried this on Dane’s hair just to see how it would make it feel, and he even said himself how lovely an soft his hair felt. Result! 😛

  • Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte Natural Finish Pressed Powder in shade Peche

I’ve owned this for over a month now and I love it! I don’t use it as much as I do my Laura Geller powder, as I just use this for days off work, or special days. BUT it is truly amazing and one of my favourite beauty pieces to use. Although it is a peach shade this doesn’t actually show up when applied to the skin, which is good. It makes my skin look matt for quite a long time, and I don’t feel the need to reapply during my 8 hour shift at work, which is the true test of a good face powder for me.

  • Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye

This is another freebie I got in my Estee Lauder goody bag and is something I have been using on warm mornings, and muggy days. It’s a cooling gel that is meant to be used at night, but I use it in the mornings before I go to work. I haven’t noticed a dramatic change in my eyes, but it really does help them feel cooled on hot days, and mornings when my eyes are still aching, and tired.

  • Imperial Leather Shower Gel in Foamy Banana

This was a recent discovery towards the end of June and it is my favourite out of the bunch this month! I couldn’t wait to talk about it next month, so this is why there is an extra product being spoken about this month. It smells just like the foam banana sweeties that you would get as a kid, which I love. I can’t eat bananas due to my allergy, but I can get my banana fix with this shower gel! I bought a couple of bottles of these so that I know I have a bottle ready in the cupboard to use when my current one runs out.

  • Lancome Juicy Shakers in shade Mint To Be.

My mom bought me another one of these when she went on holiday in May and I KNOW I wrote a somewhat bad review about the Juicy Shaker’s, but I do still like them! They just aren’t anything special like they’ve been made out to be. They are literally just pigmented lip balms with a bit of gloss. I love this one though, and when I’ve fancied something a bit more than a balm, but not a lipstick, this has come in handy! These aren’t sticky, and they feel really light on the lips when worn, which is something I like about it. It’s just been great during working on the house, as well as when I traveled to London. I might review this soon, but in the meantime you can read the review for the other one here.

So that is my June favourites! May be late, but at least they’re done now. 😛

What products did you enjoy using in June? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’re all having a great week.

High-End Beauty Haul & A Foxy Surprise!

 photo Photo 27-05-2016 8 20 14 pm_zpsdvgwhva3.jpg

Recently my family went on holiday and came back before the weekend. The three weeks they were away for has really flown by, and I was glad to see them arrive home safely.

When they got back they were bearing gifts, as well as with a surprise gift for me. I had asked my mom to pick me up some goodies whilst she was there, which I would give her the money for.

We have a home over in Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, and due to it being a tax-free island it can sometimes work out cheaper to buy beauty related goodies over there, rather than here.

I only have four things she picked up for me, but they’re all amazing, and I couldn’t wait to show them off to you today!

  • Lancome Juicy Shaker Lip Gloss in shade Mint To Be – £18.00

I already have one of these in shade Berry In Love (you can read my review here) and whilst I didn’t review it with all-stars and positives, I still rather like it for work if I fancy something light, which I can reapply without the worry I look like coco the clown. This is a rather odd shade considering it’s blue, but I love how it reminds me of my teenage years of wearing sheer blue lipsticks and lip glosses. This is just like the name too, it’s very minty and makes my lips feel tingly and feel fresh, which is nice! I can’t wait to rock this over the summer months on hots days out. For a while this was only an exclusive at Selfridges and Lancome’s official website, but it appears to be available everywhere now, although I think it is a limited edition shade.

  • Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte Natural Finish Pressed Powder in shade Peche – £33.00

I’m hitting pan on my current face powder, which means it’s time to think about buying something new! I mentioned to my mom that I wanted to get something new, and asked her if she could have a nose whilst on holiday for something fancy for me. She had a look around and found this lovely piece for me! A Chanel powder… Oh my! I wasn’t expecting this! I especially wasn’t expecting it to be a peach shade, I would have thought it would be white. This being said it’s only a subtle colour and doesn’t affect the colour of my own skin in any way. I cannot wait to start using this, it’s such a gorgeous piece to have in my make up collection now, especially with its beautiful velvet pouch that it lives in.

  • Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in shade Plum Shimmer – £18.00

I own two of these already, Rose Shimmer, and Candy Shimmer, both of which I bought from Fuerteventura last time I went in November 2015. This is one of the newer shades in the lip perfector collection and it is right up my street! It’s a raspberry pink shade, and when applied multiple times it gives a nice dark payoff to it. I will rock this loads throughout the summer, as well as every other time of year! I hope to review them all together soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

  • Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Lipstick in shade Roman – £26.00

This is probably my favourite item that I bought from the bunch as not only is it a new and exciting product by Chanel, but it’s also such a lovely shade. I wish I could have really swatched a variety of the shades before picking the one I had, but from looking at swatches and pictures from Tempalia’s post over on her blog, I knew I would love Roman. It’s a hot pink shade, and very me! Makes a change from purple shades, that’s for sure. It’s not like your normal lipsticks either, this one has a buttery and moisturising formula which is really nice! The thing I love the most is the tube, which is long and sleek, which as the name states, looks stylish. I cannot wait to review this beauty!

Finally I have the special gift that my dad got for me! When we went on holiday together in November I eyed up this cushion and fell in love with it. It has a fox on it, how could I NOT fall in love with it?! I don’t know what I’m going to do with it yet… Probably stick it on my bed and use it as a back rest. 😛 It’s huge though, probably half the size of my body. It’ll definitely be nice to use as something to lean on whilst I work on blog posts. This only cost my dad 27.95, which works out to £21.25. Bargain really considering how big it is, I mean look at the picture of it with my hand on top… That is how big it is!

So that’s my little high-end beauty haul! I do not know the prices in euros at this time, but when I find out I will update this post as and when. I hope to review the majority of the goodies mentioned on here soon as well.

Are any of the products I’ve purchased anything you would like to get, or have bought yourselves recently? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and have an awesome bank holiday Monday!

Lancome Juicy Shaker Lip Gloss in Berry In Love – Review

 photo Photo 08-03-2016 11 04 45 am_zpshplz1bak.jpg

I have been so damn excited for this Lancome launch since I heard about it before Christmas, so a few Sunday’s ago when I was in Selfridges with my friend Poppy, I knew I had to look at it. They had only been released in Selfridges at the time, and luckily the Birmingham store had them in stock a few days early. I had my eye on tw0o, and left with one of them.

I had my eye on Berry In Love since seeing the press release of the Juicy Shaker’s so I knew this was one of the ones I wanted to swatch on the back of my hand. I also eyed a gorgeous blue shaded called Mint To Be, which I would love to get my hands on as it’s limited edition!

The girl who served me was so lovely, and when I asked if I could try the product she applied it for me, and I really liked how it looked… So I was naughty and bought it. But this is my last treat for a very long time! So… Was it worth it?

I have mostly pros, but a few cons with this product, which I am going to talk about in this review. First of all I have to talk about the packaging.

How adorable is it? This is probably the first thing everyone is noticing about the product, it certainly was for me! It’s meant to be a little cocktail shaker, and as a huge cocktail making fan (is that even a thing???) I just fell in love with it. As you can see it’s silver, just like a cocktail shaker, and has the Lancome name around it, with the Lancome flower on the top. Not all of the packaging is silver, with the bottom part of the bottle being clear so that you can see which lip colour you have.

The applicator for this is very different, and I haven’t personally seen anything like it before. It reminds me of a little sweetie due to the cone, and sponge style shape. It was white when I first opened the product, but now it is sodden in the shade I picked up. Like most lip gloss products this has a screw top, which feels nice and secure when you do the top back up.

As I’ve already mentioned, I picked up Berry In Love which is a gorgeous purple shade, which has some slight purple and blue shimmer running throughout. All the shades are said to have their own unique scent to them, of course depending on the flavour. Mine being berries related, mine smells just like it, and it’s not an intense or strong scent, it’s just light, and perfect. You can’t taste it when it’s on the lips, but depending on the person, you may be able to smell it whilst it’s on the lips. I can smell it a little bit, but it isn’t anything offensive.

Image taken from lancome.co.uk

The shade I picked up is also the same shade that Lupita Nyong is wearing in the advertisements of the Juicy Shaker’s.

This isn’t like a normal lip gloss mind, and I don’t just mean about the unique packaging. This lip gloss contains nourishing lip oils such as sweet almond oil, omega 3, and cranberry oil! Meaning your lips don’t just look great, but they’re being nourished too, to make sure they stay in great condition. Due to what the lip gloss contains, it also means that it isn’t sticky or drying.

When you first get the bottle the pigment of the lip colour, and the oils will be separated in the bottle, so you need to shake it up really well to get them both merged together again. There’s a little ball inside that helps mix the two together, and it clicks around when you shake it, which I love! It really adds to the whole cocktail shaker style of the product.

There is both a lot of pros and (in my opinion) a con to this… I’ll go on to talk about the pros first.

One of the pros is how this feels on the lips. I wear glasses, so I hate when you wear a sticky lip gloss, your hair gets stuck in it, and then blows onto your glasses and you’re left with a lovely streak of your favourite gloss. Lovely! But with this it has a texture similar to water to be honest, and it feels really comforting on the lips, and hydrating. I love it for that, as it means if my lips are sore I can still rock a bit of colour whilst keeping my lips hydrated.

 photo Photo 08-03-2016 11 05 15 am_zpsugd6roq2.jpg

Another pro of this product is how it looks on the lips when applied. It’s nothing intense, which is to be expected with it being a lip gloss. It’s just perfect for spring and summer, for days when it’s warm outside and you don’t want to be caked in make up. Of course I only have one so I can’t compare the pigmentation to other shades. You’re meant to dab the product on with the applicator, and the more layers you apply, the more intense the colour will get. I find that dabbing the colour onto the lips work better than applying it like you would a normal lip gloss in a sweeping motion. I also found the longer I owned the product, the more product the applicator began to pick up, thus more product and pigmentation on the lips.

This is where I go onto the con. This cost me £18.00, and personally I don’t think it is worth that money. If you ask me, the majority of the price is for the packaging and the name, which sucks because I don’t want to be paying for the pretty packaging. I would expect to pay say £12.00-£15.00 for something like this. I know it’s Lancome but I never really remember their products being this much money! For a lipstick, yes, but not for a lip gloss.

Due to the consistency of the lip gloss, it doesn’t stay on the lips all that long. It might leave behind a slight stain, but it isn’t anything special. I’ll apply it before I drive to work, and by the time I’ve arrived there, walked to work, clocked in, got ready, and headed down to start my shift, it’s gone. Which annoys me. It shouldn’t have vanished in all of half an hour!

This being said, I do still really enjoy this product and I’ll probably start to use it over purple lipsticks, such as Rebel by MAC (review here) to give them a bit of a pop and some gloss.

As I’ve already said, I want to pick up the limited edition blue shade called Mint To Be. It’s a gorgeous bright blue shade, which when applied to the lips leaves a clear and slight blue shimmer. It’s great for making teeth look whiter!

Overall this is a great product, especially for young girls and teenagers who are just starting to experiment with make up. I know my mom bought me the Lancome Juicy Tubes lip glosses when I was first starting to wear make up, and I loved them (I still own them… They should probably be thrown away now…). These might be great for women who want a bit of colour on their lips, but if you’re expecting a lot of pigmentation from these, then you’ll be disappointed as these aren’t anything mind blowing… Sadly. These will make for a great present from a summer holiday this year, as I’m pretty sure they’ll be cheap as chips in duty free, and tax free areas.

As I said before, these retail for £18.00 each and are currently available online and in store at Selfridges, and online at Lancome’s website. I’m unsure if they are available in store at Debenhams, but at the time of this post they weren’t on the website. You can pick these up in 13 shades, with one being limited edition.

Check them out here on Lancome’s website.

Now time for some pictures of my Toby jug. 😉

Will you be picking up any of the Juicy Shaker’s by Lancome? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all and hope you’re having a great week.

March ’16 Wish List

Okay this is seriously a wish list this month because I SERIOUSLY need to watch my money now. I need to adult and only spend money on house related items… How boring. 😛 I’m hoping to do a wish list Wednesday post on house related items, so keep your eyes peeled for that in the future!

But for now, I’ll just be talking about all sorts of cute, and quirky items that I want for myself. Oh and FYI, I never bought a single thing off of my wish list last month… 😛

  • Benefit Posie Tint – £24.50 (link)

I have to first of all say, I know there are going to be LOADS of lip products on this months wish list… Oh boy. BUT I picked up a sample of this lip tint and I have fallen head over heels in love with it. I am literally using this nearly everyday for work. A little bit goes a long way, and it leaves a gorgeous just bitten pink stain on the lips. I am just so in love. I will buy this one day, I just don’t know when at this moment in time. DAMN having to be a grown up and save money!

  • OPI Hello Kitty Collection Nail Lacquer in Starry-Eyed For Daniel -£12.50 (sadly no link as most stores have sadly sold out…)

I have been lusting after this nail lacquer for quite some time now… BUT I keep telling myself I don’t need anymore polishes, especially when I don’t really wear them anymore. I have my eye on quite a few of the lacquers from this collection, including this one, Charmmy and Sugar, and Say Hello To Hello Kitty. But I doubt I’ll pick any of these up, at least not any time soon at least. It is such a pretty collection coming up to spring and summer, and it’s been a long time coming OPI collaborating with Sanrio. I hope they bring another collection out in future with the rest of the Sanrio family!

  • Bee & PuppyCat Vol. 2 Comic Book – £10.76 (link)

I LOVE Bee & PuppyCat and after recently discovering that there was a comic book out of the popular cartoon show, I just fell harder in love with the show. The second volume of the comic book is currently on pre-order, but as it’s out in less than a month it’ll be mine before I write and publish my April wish list… Because I have that shit pre-ordered! OH YEAH!

  • Sugar Bunny Shop Doki Fox Yamiiko Sweatshirt – $25.00 (link)

Oh.My.GLOB I love this sweatshirt and I legit want it in my life… BUT MONEY! Y DO I HAVE NO MONEY?! Eventually this will become mine, when I don’t know, but it will be one day. It’s the gorgeous Sugar Bunny’s Doki dumpling fox on a sweatshirt, what more could I ask for? I love foxes as it is, but I especially love her Doki fox, he’s just so adorable. Dane bought me some of the stickers from her store a few Christmases ago and I keep them safe in my diary. I could imagine Dane buying me this for our third anniversary together… But we shall see what happens…

  • Lancome Juicy Shaker in shade 400 Mint To Be – £18.00 (link)

I’ve actually bought one of these already… *smacks hand when meant to be saving money* NAUGHTY NAT! But I bought one of the purple shades. This one however is a gorgeous blue/clear sparkly shade, and one that is also limited edition. I actually regret not buying this one considering what it is… But meh I’m sure I’ll be able to pick this up on another occasion. These are gorgeous and lovely to wear for work, and I know already they’ll be a real hit with teenagers, and especially in the summer when people are going on holiday. I’m going to be writing a review up in the week on the shade I picked up over the weekend.

  • Benefit Puff Off Eye Gel – £22.50 (link)

I have been lusting after this throughout February and I actually went to buy it a week ago, but it has sold out in the Boots store I visited! I received a sample of this when I picked up my Matte Rescue and I fell in love. It’s a lovely creamy gel texture, and when applied to the eye area it helps it feel cool, perfect in the morning! I don’t know when I’ll pick this up, as I recently purchased a miniature of Benefit’s It’s Potent eye cream, which I am loving at the moment! So I’m not in as much hurry right now as I previously was. I still can’t wait to get my hands on this though.

  • Nana Manga Vol. 16-21

I’ve spoken about this manga on my blog before, and it is by far my favourite. It’s also incredibly hard to get hold of these days, but my boyfriend finds me good copies on Amazon all the time… Thank God! I am currently on 13, but I know after I’ve finished writing and schedule this post, I’ll be reading it for a while before I go to sleep. I am so close to the end of the series, yet so far away! I know kind of what happens at the end, which sucks, but meh. I’ve watched the anime for the series, which I fell in love with too and own on DVD. I just can’t wait to get the rest of the volumes so I know that I’m one of the lucky few who owns ALL of the series. This is something I will definitely be buying off of this list. I can’t live without my manga.

So that was my wish list for this month! What goodies do you have on your own wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below of what you have your eye on.

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’re all having a great week so far.

Spring Tag!

Image taken from weheartit.com

I love spring, it means the weather is beginning to get warmer and lighter nights are just around the corner. Since getting back from my holiday I’ve been lusting after warmer weather and not needing to layer up and wear my parka. I just want to wear my pleather jacket again, as well as my dresses and playsuits.

It’s officially spring today! So what better way to start off spring 2015 on my blog, than a spring tag!

1. Favorite spring nail polish?
I like my cream and pastel shades for spring, and I’ll definitely be wearing my Models Own Speckled polishes (post about them here). They remind me of Mini Eggs, which I love. As well as that I’ll probably be wearing my Illamasqua Raindrops (review here) polish as I love that shade for spring too.

2. What is your must-have lip color this spring?
I’m swaying towards pinks this spring, mostly nude pinks as I’ve recently got into wearing this shade and I really like it. As well as that I always like to rock a hot pink shade too. You can’t go wrong with pink! One I’ll probably wear a lot is Miley Cyrus’ Viva Glam lipstick (review here).

3. Show us your favorite spring dress!
I have so many favourites! I love my Dr. Martens dress (lookbook here), as well as my Miss Selfridge playsuit which I wore on holiday and will continue to wear in the spring and summer in the UK. Here are some pictures of both dresses…

4. What’s your favorite flower?
I don’t reallllly like flowers to be honest and I put this down to having hayfever… But if I had to choose one it would probably be sunflowers and lilies.

5. Favorite spring scarf/accessory?
Favourite spring scarf is definitely my white skull one that I bought three years ago (wow time flies!). It’s light and perfect to wear with dresses in the spring and summer.

6. What spring trend(s) are you most excited about this year? (Makeup, fashion or both!)
I am really liking the look of the 70’s trend, as I find the style that was out then was pretty nice and looked lovely. When it comes to make up and hair, I don’t really bother with those trends as I just wear my hair how I want to, and same with my lipstick too. Clothes wise, I am in desperate need of a make over! So I may go down the 70’s route!

7. Favorite spring candle?
I’ll burn anything throughout the year, but I think out of all my Yankee Candles the candles I’ll be burning most throughout spring will be Sweet Strawberry and Sweet Apple (post about them both here). They’re perfect for spring and smell delicious too. They’re simple too which is great for spring.

8. Favorite body spray/perfume for spring?
Ooo this is a tough one as I have so many I like to wear throughout the year. I think a few that I really like are Paul Smith Rose, DKNY MYNY, Marc Jacobs Oh Lola, Gucci Envy Me, and Lancome Miracle. They’re all light and floral and citrus scents which work lovely for spring.

9. What is spring like where you live?
Erm… It depends I suppose but usually wet! It rains a lot in the UK as it is, but it seems to rain more during spring than any other month. The thing I like about spring in the UK is how great it is to go into the countryside and awe over all the baby animals, as well as take in the sights. I especially love seeing cherry blossom trees.

10. What’s your favorite thing about spring?
Baby animals and cherry blossom trees for sure! They just both make me happy, especially when it comes to photography too. I also like how lighter nights come around and you can go out in the evenings with friends, family, partner, etc and just enjoy yourselves for longer. It’s also nice how it gets a little warmer out too.

11. Are you a spring cleaner?
Sometimes, not like hardcore but I would like to do a lot of spring cleaning this year. I’ve done a little already with my clothes, but I need to do some more. There’s probably loads of junk I could chuck away out of my room!

12. Any plans for spring break or an upcoming vacation?
We don’t have spring break in the UK, but we do get Easter break. I’m not at uni during this time for two weeks and throughout that time I’ll be working, as well as doing my uni work. I may also use it to do my spring cleaning and have a bit of me and blog time. I won’t have any holiday’s coming up, but I would love to go out for a day somewhere nice for my boyfriends birthday, which is just after the Easter holiday’s.

So that was the Spring Tag! I really enjoyed doing it, and I hope my readers have enjoyed reading it.

Who do I tag? EVERYONE! If you take part in this tag, please link me back to said post via a comment so I can come and read it.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you all have a good weekend.

Cheeky Lancome purchases

There was a sale on okay!

DSC_0016

Whilst my friend Poppy was paying for a Lancome mascara I saw these in a little sales basket and after swatching them both, I just had to have them. I know I would have walked away thinking, “Aww I wish I’d bought those now!” and gone back to buy to discover they’ve all gone.

I regret nothing!

DSC_0006

I bought a lipstick balm and a nail polish, both things that I use quite often, as regular readers will know.

I would go into huge detailing about these, but I’m saving that for reviews, you lucky things!

As you can see from the first picture I picked up the lipstick balm for £10, it was originally £20! What a bargain eh? Baume In Love was a part of Lancome’s special edition collection for Spring ’13 and I picked up this lipstick balm in Midnight Rose. It’s a gorgeous colour and I really can’t wait to review it, I’ve done nothing but wear it since purchasing.

I also picked up a nail polish in the sale, which was £6.00, reduced from £12.00, so both of these products were half price, amazing value for Lancome! I got this in the shade Sugared Rose, I’m not sure if it was a limited edition for Spring ’13 but it isn’t available online anymore, so I can only imagine it was. It’s a gorgeous white toned pink polish which looks great as one coat or two. I’ll be writing a review for this very soon too.

Sneak peak into what reviews I’ll be doing soon then eh? If you want to try and pick up these bargains, as well as the others that Lancome have on offer right now then head to Birmingham Selfridges or any other Selfridges near you! 😀

Stay tuned for the reviews for these and talk soon!
