7 Games I’m Excited For

If there is one thing I would love to write more about on my blog, it’s games and how much I love gaming! I love it just as much as reading manga, watching anime and even writing on my blog! πŸ˜›

I really want to start writing more about games and I intend to write more about it all from now on, but please bear with me as it might take me a while to these kind of blog posts written.

For now though I will be writing about games I’m excited for in the future. I won’t just be talking about 2018, but I’ll be going into 2019 too as a couple of games I’ll be mentioning here won’t be out until then.

I really hope in advance that you like this post!

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man – Out September 7th 2018 on PlayStation 4

What a way to kick start this list! When this was first announced I was so nostalgic and excited! One of the first games I played fully on my PlayStation was Spider-Man and I loved it so much. Looking back I actually think it was this game that started off my love of superheroes and comic book characters. When E3 showed a trailer for it this year it just made me even more excited for it to come out. This is a game me and Dane have on pre-order already and we cannot wait to play it together. I’m not going to lie, I also wanted the limited edition Spider-Man PS4 that is coming out with the game too, but meh money. The game just looks impressive and I really hope it brings back the nostalgic feels of 10 year old Nat playing the first PlayStation Spider-Man game in her bedroom after school and on weekends.

  • Super Mario Party – Out October 5th 2018 on Nintendo Switch

If there’s a game me and Dane have always loved playing together on both the Nintendo Wii and the 3DS it’s the Super Mario Party games! They’re great for playing on lazy Sunday’s, at parties and just in general when you want to play a game but don’t have a clue what to play exactly. We’ve wanted some more games for the Switch but we’re a bit stumped as to what 2 player games we can get, but now we’ve noticed this is coming out we’ll probably get it around Christmas time!

  • LEGO DC Super-Villains – Out October 19th 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch

I’m a saddo, I love the LEGO games but who COULDN’T not love the LEGO games to be honest with you?! They’re really chilled to play, funny and great for anyone of any age to play. Since the first LEGO games came out I’ve played the majority of them. Over the years I’ve not bought them as much to play but I love specific ones such as Harry Potter (even though I’m not a massive HP fan!), Star Wars and LOTR’s and The Hobbit. I remember playing the first LEGO Batman game where you could play as both good and bad characters. I loved being able to play as a villain so the fact that we now have a game dedicated to it is pretty awesome! πŸ˜€ I’ll definitely be pre ordering this sooner rather than later!

  • Spyro Reignited Trilogy – Out November 13th 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

I’m not going to lie, as I was starting to write this post yesterday I got an email from where I pre ordered this from letting me know that the release date has been pushed back. I’m gutted but it’s for decent reasons! Toys For Bob have stated that it won’t be perfect for their original release date (21st September 2018) so that’s the reason for pushing it back. I’m still gutted though, I was so excited to play this game on my day off work as well as for that weekend. Meh I guess I’ll just have to wait. It just kind of sucks that it’s out a couple of days before Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. I can’t play two games at exactly the same time! πŸ˜› I loved the Spyro games growing up, especially Spyro 2 and I was super excited to play it! Alas I’ve got to wait now until November… Unless I dig out the original and give that a go.

Pokemon: Let's Go! Eevee! + Poke Ball Plus

  • Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! & Pokeball Plus – Out November 16th 2018 on Nintendo Switch

This is definitely the game I am most excited about on this list! I remember when the first trailer came out for it and Dane woke me up at 6am to show me the video on his phone! I was pissed off that he woke me up so early, but when I realised what it was for I was ecstatic! I love that there are 2 versions to choose from, but I knew I wanted Eevee. I pre ordered this as soon as I found it at a decent price for both the game and the Pokeball Plus! Smyths is the best place to get it from as you save Β£5.00 on your order if you go and collect in store. I’m glad it’s now a new story and really like that they’re following Pokemon Yellow. The thing I think that I love the most is that it’s two player so me and Dane can play the game together! It’s amazing that they brought this into the game and it’s something I’ve wanted the Pokemon games to have for the longest time. I honestly cannot wait to play this with Dane when it comes out! This is a game I’ll be talking about for ages on my blog when it’s out.

  • Persona 5: Dancing In Starlight – Out 4th December 2018 on PlayStation 4

YES THIS FINALLY HAS A RELEASE DATE! Ahem… Apologies… BUT I have been so on edge about when this game is coming out and I didn’t think it was going to be until 2019 to be honest with you. Thankfully it’ll be out before the end of 2018 and I am super happy about that! I loved Persona 5 so much and it’s for sure become one of my favourite game series alongside Pokemon! This is out in Japan now and has been since May (from memory…) which is pretty cool, but it means trying to avoid any of the story etc. I’m currently playing Persona 4: Dancing All Night and so far it’s been more story than game play, which is bleh. I wouldn’t mind story in Persona 5 though! πŸ˜› This is something I really want to pre order but… I probably shouldn’t. I know this would make an ideal Christmas present for someone who doesn’t know what to buy me, but all the same I WANT IT! πŸ˜€ We shall see, I’ll soon update you guys on if I’d pre ordered it.

  • Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth – Release date TBC out on Nintendo 3DS

This only recently got announced at the start of August and loads of Persona fans have been excited for it and since it being revealed, the community has gone CRAZY! I’m not going to lie I’m yet to play Persona Q: Shadow Of The Labyrinth and I really want to download it asap to play! I wanted to actually pick up the physical copy of the game to play but it costs too much these days, which in turn sucks. With the Persona 5 babies being in this game I really need to get it to play! As I said in the title, it’s yet to be given a release date here in the UK, but as soon as I find out, I’ll be pre ordering it for sure.

So there are my seven games that I’m actually really excited about coming out! Whilst writing this post I was talking to Dane about which games I was going to add and asked him to give me a hand as I was worried I was forgetting some games. Alas I was and he reminded me of quite a few! He asked me if he could mention a couple of games he’s excited for too, so I said he could to round up this post.

  • Shenmue I & II – Out August 21st 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

I played the first Shenmue back on the Dreamcast and it was a groundbreaking game for its time so when I saw it up for pre order on the Xbox One store I ordered it straight away.

  • Battlefield 5 – Out October 19th 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC

I have always preferred the Dice Battlefield games over the COD series, played BF1 for a short period but got bored after a while. Whilst I am ignoring the historically inaccuracies I am hoping the game play is a return to form.

  • Red Dead Redemption 2 – Out October 29th 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

There is very little I need to say about my anticipation for this. Play the first one and watch the trailers, this game will be excellent.

  • Fallout 76 – Out November 14th 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC

The first multiplayer Fallout game. Count me in.

Thanks to Dane for adding some of the games he’s excited for! I’m equally excited for some of those too, but he’s far more excited than I am. πŸ˜›

What games are you looking forward to playing? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely weekend.

Gamer Confessions Tag

Good afternoon all, I hope you’re well! Wow I don’t usually start blog posts that way but I’m feeling something different today. πŸ˜›

This post has been scheduled and at this moment in time I’m watching Dirty Sanchez series 2 on Dane’s old (and I mean OLD) MacBook and it’s snowing outside. You wouldn’t think we’re almost at the end of January would you? πŸ˜›

I found this gamer tag by Michelle over on her blog A Geek Girl’s Guide and with the amount of gaming I do I thought it would be fun to have a go myself!

Image taken from weheartit.com

1. A game everyone loves that you can’t stand

Rocket League. I fucking hate that game and it’s for one reason… I’m really bad at it. Like atrociously bad. I can’t play it for toffee and I’ve tried over and over again and I just can’t get into it whatsoever. It reminds me of football games and they’re always rubbish. πŸ˜›

2. A game that you love, but no one else seems to

Probably both the DJ Hero games. πŸ˜› I’ve always been into club music due to my brother being a DJ when I was growing up. I remember buying the first game with the turntable and I played that game nonstop on my PS3 until I completed it. Then when DJ Hero 2 came out I was on it straight away. I’d love to play it again but meh I don’t think I can be arsed. πŸ˜›

3. An older game you haven’t finished, and probably never will

Tomb Raider 2… Even though I REALLY want to because I loved that game growing up! Someone messed up one of my saves on it and I was beyond gutted. I’d got to about level 7 on there and there’s a point where if she falls she just dies. You can’t grab or fuck all, she just drops to her death. Some arsehole saved the game on that and I was distraught at the time. I went back to it last year to continue but never did. I think I played the first level with Dane and that was about it.

4. A guilty pleasure game

I want to say Minecraft or Sims 4 as they’re both such relaxing games (until you set your Sims house on fire or you’re stuck in a mine with a bunch of creepers!) and you can really get lost in them for hours on end. In all fairness though it’s probably going to be Persona 5 as I can just sit and play it over and over again. πŸ˜›

5. A game you really love but haven’t played in a long time

Probably one of the Pokemon games or even a Lego game. I loved the Lego The Hobbit game but I haven’t played it for AGES and I would love to, but it’s on my PS3. I wish I could put it on my PS4 to play instead. 😦

6. A game you never play seriously but others do

Oh man I don’t know… I never play games seriously to be honest! πŸ˜› Probably something like Sims 4 and maybe Minecraft too!

7. A game you completed but hated it by the end

Life is Strange: Beyond The Storm. I was interested by the storyline and to find out more about Chloe and Rachel Amber but fuck me by the end of it I was glad it only lasted 3 episodes as they both pissed me off so much. The way they designed Rachel Amber got me the most. A spoilt brat who walks like a man (not that this is a problem it just didn’t suit her whatsoever!) and uses Chloe as much as possible. Then there’s Chloe… Don’t even get me started on Chloe. I was disappointed by the game as I feel they made the girls like that on purpose and if that’s the case they did an amazing job at pissing people off. I just love Max to be honest.

8. A game you thought you’d enjoy, but didn’t

Lego Worlds. Me and Dane were so excited to pick this up as we thought it would be like Minecraft but with Lego. We love the Lego games so why would this be any different? Sadly it was and in that same instance it was awful. It felt more like you had to run around a glitchy world trying to collect as many Lego series as possible. That isn’t what it was advertised to be and due to that it was a massive disappointment.

9. A game you didn’t think was for you, and then loved

Oh man it has to be Persona 5! I had heard nothing but awesome things about it before it came out and I mentioned it time and time again to Dane to see what he thought. He’d say, “I don’t think it’s your thing Nat. It’s like the Final Fantasy games.” and sadly I can’t stand them. I hate the game play so much. So I ummed and ahhed about Persona 5 for ages and the day it came out I went to buy it from Amazon but it was sold out. A week later I found it in my local Argos and picked it up. I fell in love with the story as well as the game play and it has now gone up as one of my favourite games of ALL TIME. πŸ˜€

10. A game you are still excited for that hasn’t come out yet

I’m already excited for the Persona 5: Dancing Star Night to be perfectly honest! It comes out in Japan in May this year so I don’t know when we’ll get it. If it’s anything like Persona 5 was we’ll probably have it December… I CANNOT WAIT THAT LONG! :O

Another other games I’m excited for though? A Way Out looks like loads of fun and is one me and Dane would get to play together! That comes out late March. I’m SUPER excited for Detroit: Become Human but as of yet it doesn’t have a confirmed release date, which I’m gutted about as I feel like myself and others have been waiting years for this game now. 😦

So that is all the questions and my answers for the Gamer Confessions Tag!

If you want to know what Michelle’s answers were I’ll link her Gamer Confessions Tag post here.

If you fancy giving this tag a go THEN GO FOR IT! Make sure to let me know so I can read your answers, as well as letting Michelle know too!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely day.

A/W 16 Games I Am Excited About

I am a nerd, gaming is my thing and since moving into the house I have realised how much I love playing games. They’re something I get to mong out in front of and just relax. It’s also nice to be able to take out some frustration and stress on them.

My current favourite to play right now is LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which I am currently trying to complete 100%, because I’m sad like that.

Alongside that I love playing Minecraft with Dane, as well as our friends online. Can never go wrong with that game!

But with so many games announced at E3 this year, I thought I would put together a post today about which games I am excited about for the remained of the year.

  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole – Release date 06.12.16 – Β£43.99 (link)

I love South Park, no denying that! I never got to play the first game The Stick Of Truth when it first came out but eventually my old job at Costa gifted me this and I was so hooked onto it. I even completed 100%, woohoo! So when Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced this a year ago I was so damn excited! Over the past year it has been developed and finally given the end of the this year the launch date. I won’t be waiting until Christmas to get this, it’ll be pre ordered a week before it’s due out. I’m so damn excited!

  • World of Final Fantasy – Release date 28.10.16 – Β£33.99 (link)

I’ve never been a gamer who can say, “OMG I LOVE all the Final Fantasy games!” Until 2011/2012 I had never played any of them and I’m not going to lie when I say that I don’t feel like I lost out. I’ve always been interested in the stories behind the games, but whenever I’ve played them I’ve never been a huge fan of the game play. Recently when I tried the demo for Final Fantasy XV I fell in love with the new game play. Due to being excited for this game (which will be mentioned on this post!) I started to get excited for other Final Fantasy games. This one included. I mean for a start the characters are so adorable looking, very kawaii and right up my street! All I know about it is you play as two twins who go to a different world from their own and fight, etc. Just all the chibi characters are adorable and pulled at my heart.

  • Β Final Fantasy XV – Release date 29.11.16 – Β£42.00 (link)

This has so far been the only Final Fantasy game I have actually liked the look of and played feeling excited about too. I don’t know if it’s because the game play has changed with this game (according to a lot of people I know who love FF it has…) which I didn’t realise to be honest, but it is definitely due to said chance that the controls don’t seem as complex as they did before. The demo was a joy to play too, especially the cute little fox that you follow around throughout. The story just looks awesome too with the brothers and their emo alternative looks. I won’t be in a rush to pick this up, but I hope to eventually!

  • Detroit: Become Human – Release date TBC – Β£46.00 (link)

I can not express how damn excited I am for this game! I’m a massive fan of all David Cage’s games including Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls so this one HAS to be a part of my collection. It’s a very interesting concept revolving around robots and them becoming human, instead of just doing as we humans say. The trailers are beautiful and David Cage hasn’t let us down again! There have been so many trailers leading up to this game, so I advice you to YouTube search for them if you wish to see more. I hope this gets a release date for this year!

  • The Last Guardian – Release date 28.10.16 – Β£44.00 (link)

This game has been in the works for almost ten years now and it’s amazing that it is finally going to be released! Do you know what though? I waited so damn long for this game that I’m not as excited for it as I thought I was going to be… It won’t stop me from buying it though as it’s a game I am still excited to play. I guess it’s just a shame that it took so long to get it where it is today. The creature in the game is what has sold out to everyone is you ask me. The graphics of the game don’t look that amazing in all fairness, which is something a lot of people have been commenting on with this game. However this doesn’t bother me, as it still looks like a lovely game to play.

  • Mafia III – Release date 07.10.16 – Β£42.00 (link)

I like the Mafia games and I felt that the second one was ignored quite a bit due to Grand Theft Auto 4 coming out, which I thought was a bit of a shame! However now Mafia III is out and there isn’t any GTA game to compete with! I love the look of Mafia III too as it’s set in a period I love as well as in a part of America I would love to visit one day. The plot is very strong and I know I will love playing this game. I get a bit anxious playing games like this as I worry of shoot ups in missions and such that I won’t get very far as I’m not that great at playing games like this. However I am hoping that this game will help me gain some confidence as I really do want to get it.

  • Pokemon Moon – Release date 32.11.16 – Β£32.00 (link)

This is one of the games I am super excited about… Don’t think I need to explain why really. It’s Pokemon and that’s all you need to know! πŸ˜› No I kid! I am excited for this, it’ll be cool to see what they’ve done differently with this game like the new Pokemon, the aloha evolution for older Pokemon such as Vulpix, Raichu, etc. I’ve also heard that you don’t battle at gyms or in the elite four anymore either, which will be odd! I’ll be getting this the day it comes out and probably playing it until I finish. I hope Dane will get it to play with me too, and if not I’ll buy it him for Christmas. πŸ˜‰

So that was the list of games I am super excited about for 2016! I am going to be so poor by the end of the year I swear to God. πŸ˜›

What games are you excited about coming out this year? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Photo Diary Adventure – London

I have literally just got back from a trip to London to visit my friend Sophi, and it was very much needed! They house has been very stressful to say the least and my trip to London came up in good time. I booked the trip back in April/May, and due to that it cost me next to sod all! Only Β£6.00 each way! Can I hear a woo to the motherfuckin’ hoo??!!

Anyway… I decided I would do a little photo diary of my trip down to β€œthe big smoke” (as my dad calls it), because why not?

Due to my anxiety I was really nervous about traveling on my own, but it was really straight forward. I just had to get on a train and sit for just over two hours.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 10 04 29 am_zpswgdbrosg.jpg

My dad gave me a lift to New Street half an hour before my train was due, which I liked as it gave me time to grab a magazine, a drink (I drink a flat white with vanilla if you were curious), and get to my platform in time to get a good seat.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 10 22 49 am_zpsbnbzlm6q.jpg

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 10 34 18 am_zpsdie3zihu.jpg

I managed to grab a good a window seat with a table which was good as it meant I could lean on the table and do some writing. Throughout the journey I did just that whilst listening to my music and wrote some blog posts. I was also talking to a lovely woman from New Zealand throughout the journey, and she was telling me how she had been traveling around Europe for nine weeks, and was getting close to her trip ending.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 12 42 19 pm_zps186tvalb.jpg

Finally after the two hour and a bit journey I arrived at London Euston, and was greeted by Sophi up by The Body Shop. YAY! I was pleased that she was able to meet me as I was anxious about getting lost attempted to get out of Euston, or going down to the underground. London does set off my anxiety a tad, even though from this trip I feel more comfortable about it now.

Day I Arrived:

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 2 15 41 pm_zpsq2p95vio.jpg

As soon as we met up we decided that food was needed, and went to YO! Sushi for some lunch. We had a good gossip whilst we had our food and it was pretty standard for YO! Sushi really. If you know what I mean.

Soon as we finished our food we headed to the shops, starting off at M&M World. Me and Dane were meant to go there when we were in London last year, but we never did and so I wanted to see what I missed out on! Not going to lie… I didn’t miss much.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 3 02 05 pm_zpsn3nhvjkw.jpg

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 3 05 47 pm_zpsdxfws9aq.jpg

Don’t get me wrong, M&M World was good and is definitely somewhere you need to go at least once, but the only thing I liked about it was the pictures I got to take with Sophi. A lot of the products for sale were well overpriced and whilst they were nice, I wouldn’t buy them for myself. Only a massive M&M fan will get a kick from this place. Alas, I didn’t. It was cool though, and I loved nosing at all the stuff that they had on offer, especially the create your own M&M’s! But they were extortionate prices so I left it… Otherwise I would have bought some for me and Dane for when we move into the house.

The next shop we popped in was just next door, which is the Nickelodeon Shop. I prayed that they would sell some Adventure Time goodies, but sadly they didn’t. The majority of stuff for sale in there wasn’t anything I was really interested in, such as Spongebob Square Pants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paw Patrol, and Dora the Explorer. They did have something I was interested in mind, even if the section was only small. The Rugrats selection they had wasn’t very big, with only four pieces of clothing on offer, including the t-shirt that I picked up. I will show it off a lot better on a haul post soon, but I love this t-shirt so much! I loved watched the show growing up, so it has some nostalgia to it.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 4 52 51 pm_zpsmtytmv8z.jpg

After that we had a walk around various places all the while including (name of shop) which is an old sweet shop, where I got a few goodies, Hamley’s, Japan Centre, and then we went to Choccywoccydoodah!

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 5 39 38 pm_zpsc7ofeoyh.jpg

Choccywoccydoodah is a chocolate shop that also make cakes. But the store in London has a cafΓ© at the top of the shop which me and Sophi ventured to for a naughty chocolate lunch. I had never heard of it until she told me about it, and insisted that we go. It was pretty damn amazing to be honest… The cafΓ© that is! It was all done out and reminded me of Moulin Rouge. We had orange lemonade and some dark chocolate melted in pots with biscuits to dunk. It was a real treat to say the least and I’ll definitely be going again, especially with Dane.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 5 45 53 pm_zpsp5a7rjgm.jpg

As much as I loved the cafΓ© upstairs I sadly can’t say I felt the same about the shop downstairs. I’m being honest, but I just found that it looked tacky and was crazily overpriced. I guess I’m just a boring cow and love my cakes plain and simple. Is that such a crime? Although I say this I bought me and Dane some chocolate to try, because why not?

After a spot of chocolate overdose we headed to Oxford Street, what I was most excited about! I don’t know why I love shopping on Oxford Street so much but I have a feelings it’s due to how big the shops are. Of course the first shop we had to go into was Lush, why would I pass that up?!

I had some black pots that I wanted to exchange for a face mask, and I knew for ages that I wanted to give Prince of Darkness a go. A lovely member of staff let me try it, as well as a few other face masks on the back of my hand. I knew I’d like this face mask due to the charcoal, and I cannot wait to try it and now and review it for you guys. Alongside that I also picked up a few other goodies including my Oxford Street favourite Supertramp bubble bar, and the new bath bomb Lava Lamp. I was very good to say the least and didn’t buy more things, even though strangely I didn’t want much more.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 7 21 30 pm_zpsfyxqrwte.jpg

After this we looked around various other shops on Oxford Street before our final destination being Topshop. Oh my God, it was huge, I couldn’t believe it to be honest. The floor you walk into is just nothing but accessories, no clothes or anything. I was taken back by how much stuff there was on the floor, including a Bubbleology, and a Lola’s Cupcakes. We bought some bubble tea from there to drink, and I’m not going to sugar coat it, the staff were rude and it wasn’t made properly. I drink bubble tea a lot and watch how it’s made, so I know when it’s been right or not.

 photo Photo 13-06-2016 7 35 41 pm_zpsflnuvyna.jpg

Other than that, I wasn’t completely disappointed by my trip into the Oxford Street Topshop. I ended up buying a real treat from there that I will love for years, my new yellow raincoat. YES I said yellow! πŸ˜› I will talk more about it in my haul that will be up in a few days, but I wore this for the majority of my stay in London, and it was so cosy, and warm, and of course was waterproof for all the crap rain we had down there. I cannot wait to do some look book posts with it.

After that we finally decided to call it a day and headed home. We stayed up until late nattering away about all sorts, as well as planning what we could do the next day!

Day One:

I woke up bright and early for the long, and exciting day ahead of us. In fact I woke up a whole two hours before Sophi did! It was because a delivery van woke me up and I couldn’t get back to sleep so I decided to text Dane for a while as he got ready for work, and was at the house. I also sorted out my suitcase by putting stuff in there what I had bought the day before.

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 12 31 43 pm_zpsptqv9kqz.jpg

The weather wasn’t exactly amazing whilst I was down there and the majority of the time it rained… The full day I was there wasn’t any different and it rained a lot! Good job I had my new raincoat, eh? πŸ˜›

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 1 01 47 pm_zps5qeb0atj.jpg

Something I loved about getting the train from where Sophi lives (Harlow) is on the way into London you can see the gherkin, and The Shard! I had to of course get a sneaky picture of this.

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 1 34 28 pm_zpsvxq9t5wp.jpg

We had already decided months before that we would be going shopping at the Stratford shopping centre, but not until we had gone to Bubba Gump Shrimp for lunch! I wanted to go when me and Dane were in London but as never really got time, and we worried we wouldn’t like what was on the menu, as he isn’t a massive fan of fish.

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 2 12 02 pm_zpsx43ujnih.jpg

I really enjoyed going there, and I loved the food we shared too. Sophi had been before, she knew what to recommend for us to eat. When I had looked at the menu back when I ordered my train tickets I decided on a chicken burger, but what’s the point in going to a shrimp restaurant if you eat chicken??? Exactly! In the end I decided on a cherry fizzer drink, and for food we ordered garlic bread (which let me tell you were HUGE!), shrimp shack mac & cheese, and Forrest’s seafood feast.

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 1 46 34 pm_zpsb4gnm7zp.jpg

Not only did I enjoy the food, but I loved the decor of the restaurant too! To make it better, they had Forrest Gump playing in the background, which I loved. It isn’t the cheapest place in the world, but Β£39 for two people and drinks wasn’t bad in my eyes. I would and will gladly go again.

 photo Photo 14-06-2016 4 08 03 pm_zpsaqqnwehf.jpg

So our next stop was the Stratford shopping centre! Which I was really excited to go to as I have heard nothing but good things about it from Sophi, and I also heard how big it is before I went down to London. If you’ve never been, it is like two Birmingham Bullring’s, if not bigger than that!

I saw various things I liked and wanted to buy, and various things I liked and ended up being naughty and picking up. These are in my haul post here.

The one thing I really regret not picking up was this Deadpool picture from HMV. I can’t even find it on the website to order! As I always say on majority of my posts these days, I love Deadpool, and so does Dane. I would love this picture to put up in the spare room, as it would just look awesome! It wasn’t cheap at Β£14.99, but to be honest I don’t mind paying that for Deadpool. I can see me picking this up next time I’m near a HMV.

I also eyed up this Totoro bento box in The Japan Centre, but I didn’t get it because of the size of it, and I don’t really need it. It was only Β£12.99, so maybe next time I’ll pick one up!

Then after I was shopped out and very tired, me and Sophi headed home (aka her flat) and relaxed for the evening. We had something to eat, and watched Lilo and Stitch before we went to bed. I was shattered so we got an early night. Before I went to sleep I tidied my suitcase so that I wouldn’t need to do it theΒ  next day.

Going Home:

It was time to head home, and as my train wasn’t due to leave until 2.13pm it meant we could chill out for a while in the flat before heading into London. We didn’t do much really, just made sure my bag was all packed and such, as well as have some breakfast and get showered and dressed.

We left the house nice and early to make sure we were in Euston for time to have a coffee before I left and a chat. We popped to Starbucks and Sophi treated me to their new S’Mores drink (which was really nommy!) and a toastie. I showed her Bee & Puppycat, and we chatted about what she could do with the rest of her day.

Eventually it came to be time for me to get onto my train, and I was really sad to be saying goodbye. I had an amazing couple of days with Sophi, and I honestly cannot wait to do it again soon!

My train journey wasn’t as quiet as it was going into London, and I couldn’t wait for people to get off at stops so I could just chill out. I was going to try and get a blog post or two written, but in the end I just played games on my phone and listened to music.

Eventually I got back to New Street, and good ol’ Brum with my dad waiting to pick me up.

As much as I loved London and seeing Sophi, I just wanted to get back home so I could give Dane his box of goodies, as well as start working on the house again. It was nice to have a break and escape reality for a while, but you can’t run away forever.

I’m hoping to go down to London again soon to stay with Sophi, as it’s just too much fun to wait until Christmas to go again! I also apologise for not having so many pictures towards the end of this post, I was kinda too busy to take anymore. πŸ˜›

I’m hoping to start doing more photo diary related posts, as I love reading things like this myself. Did you enjoy this style of post from me? Make sure to let me know in the comments! If you liked it, I’ll certainly do more.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you have a great weekend.

June ’16 Wish List

Wow hello June, you crept up quick! June is one of my favourite months, alone because it’s the month of mine and Dane’s anniversary, and as I said a couple of days ago on my favourites post, we’re three years together this year. Yay!

This is probably one of the hardest wish lists I have ever had to do, because I couldn’t think of anything I really want. I think it’s due to the exciting news that we will have up on my blog tomorrow… πŸ˜› But in the meantime, here is my wish list for this month!

 photo June 2016 Wish List_zps80uyugsb.jpg

  • Pokemon Center Sleeping Ampharos Plush – Β£11.10 (link)

I love Pokemon, readers who are regular to my blog will know this. I also love these cute little sleeping plushies from the official Pokemon Center in Japan. I currently have two, a Mew and an Eevee which Dane bought me for Christmas and birthday. I hope to collect all my favourite ones in the future, as you can stack on top of each other. They remind me of the TY Beanie Babies… But better. πŸ˜› They’re not exactly cheap, but totally worth the money!

  • The Body Shop Pinita Colada Shower Gel – Β£5.00 (link)

I only just noticed that The Body Shop have called it Pinita, and not Pina. URGH! Either way, I love pina colada, and thus I love the scent of it too. I haven’t given this a sniff yet, but I can see me picking a bottle up when I pop down to London in ten days to visit my friend… We shall see! It sounds like such a summer scent, which I would love to use in theΒ  morning before work.

  • LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Special Edition on PS4 – Β£43.99 (link)

I love the Lego games, I know they’re meant to be for kids but I am a big kid deep down, so what?? I especially love the Star Wars Lego games so of course I need to pick this one up! It’s out towards the end of June, so I’ll probably pick it up closer to the release date. As it’s two player as well, it means me and Dane can play it together, which will be fun!

  • Pandora Moments Silver Bracelet with Pandora Rose Clasp – Β£65.00 (link)

I really want a new Pandora bracelet, and for some reason I want a rose gold one… Well a silver one with rose gold accents. As you can see on my wish list image, I will be talking about two rose gold charms. But this is the rope style bracelet, very much different from the two bangles that I currently own. I don’t need one, no, but I would like one. I don’t wear my first and “special” Pandora bracelet at the moment as it’s way too heavy to wear, only do I wear it on special occasions now. So I would like one to wear this isn’t for a special purpose… Unless Dane happens to buy it me for our anniversary, but I doubt that’ll happen! πŸ˜›

  • Lush Lava Lamp Bath Bomb – Β£3.95 (link)

I love Lush, and I love their bath bombs. Lava Lamp is one that I wanted back a year ago when me and Dane traveled to London for Hyper Japan. BUT when I got into the Oxford Street store I was left disappointed when they told me Lush has discontinued it from their store due to it “being too similar to a current bath bomb”. At the time it was an Oxford Street exclusive, but now it’s available online AND in all stores! However, as I am down in London soon I am just going to pick a couple up from there. Why not?

  • Pandora Open Your Heart Charm – Β£30.00 (link)

As I mentioned above, I would love the rose Pandora bracelet, and of course with a new bracelet I would want charms. Rose ones to be exact! I’ve seen a couple I like the look of, this being one of them. It’s a sweet little charm with little hearts all over it. You can’t get any sweeter than that, and it doesn’t hold any memories or anything behind it, so I can wear it all the time… Not that I can’t wear my special bracelets that hold memories behind them… πŸ˜›

  • Prison Architect on PS4 – Β£19.99 (link)

Okay the first thing I am going to say about this game is how disappointed I am that this is now not coming out until July! This was meant to be out on the 3rd June. WTF?! Anyway… This is a game I have wanted on Steam for agggges but when I found out it would be coming out on the PS4 I decided to leave it and just buy it when it came out on my console of choice. It’s a hilarious game where the title explains it all. You create your own prison and basically look after it. It’s like SIMS pretty much, but better!

  • Cure Natural Aqua Gel – Β£29.98 (link)

I have wanted Cure for years! Since Bubz over at Bubz Beauty was talking about it, probably six or so years ago now! It’s an exfoliating gel from Japan and is said to be the best one over there! It isn’t cheap, no but considering I would probably use this only twice a week, I would hope it would last me ages! When my current exfoliator runs out, I will be picking this one up.

  • Lush Prince of Darkness Face Mask (London Oxford Street exclusive)

This is one of the things I know I want to come back from London with, hell maybe two! I have loads of black pots that I need to exchange for some lovely face masks, and after asking someone on the Lush live chat today, I can actually get some of the Prince of Darkness masks for free! We shall see what happens, but this is a charcoal mask, which helps oily skin, which I suffer with on my t-zone, as does Dane. So we can both try this one. I’ll be reviewing it for sure when I get it.

  • Pandora Darling Daisy Meadow Openwork Charm – Β£55.00 (link)

This is another Pandora charm I’ve got my eye on for the rose bracelet, which is like the other charm, also rose looking. I love daisies, they remind me of when I was at school and in the playground we would make daisy chains. You can’t go wrong with a charm like this, and with the previous heart one I mentioned, this one is also very sweet. It’s very expensive though, which I think is due to the paint and colour of the charm itself.

Wow that was a long wish list, and is thus mine for June. I can see me picking up the Lush goodies, and the Lego game at the end of the month.

I cannot wait for you all to read mine and Dane’s amazing news tomorrow, I wish I could have made a wish list for that news, but that will be coming up in a few weeks instead.

What goodies are you lusting after this month, and have on your wish list? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and have an amazing weekend, I know I will be!

Wish List Wednesday – Deadpool (Guest Post)

Hey guys! Dane here! Nat is letting me loose on her blog again to talk to you about the regenerat-ing degenerate, Deadpool.
Today the merc’ with a mouth arrives on the silver screen. It has been an incredibly long time coming; both Nat and I have been incredibly excited since its announcement over a year ago. Recently we have seen everyone go crazy for the β€˜pool, it is everywhere and to me that is a very good thing for fans of the character. You can’t be anywhere and not see an advert on a bus or on social media. Personally, it is absolutely brilliant. The best thing they are doing with the movie is the β€œtouching yourself” campaign for men and women, where Deadpool instructs you to check yourself for lumps and bumps and not even in a way that makes you think it’s an awful attempt to promote the movie.
Do I need to give you a background of the character? Just watch this video.

With the upcoming movie Nat has tasked me with providing you all with a few possible gift ideas that I would personally like and for that person who loves a bit of Deadpool. You could gift these for someone for Valentine’s Day, or even just as a general pay day treat for yourself. The possibilities are endless!

deadpool20wish20list_zpsmt36m9hv

Well the best place to start for a comic book character is obviously the comics. You can start with the Deadpool Classics as I believe that’s where he is first introduced. I’ve never been a big fan of comics as I never liked the art style of the older comics. I started with the Deadpool Complete collections which are a bit newer and I think are the ones which really show Deadpool as we all know it. I also have the Deadpool kills series, Night of the Living Deadpool and Return of the Living Deadpool. All good stories in my opinion, I have found myself reading through the collections as soon as I buy them. I have just enjoyed them that much. The weird and sometimes hysterically dark adventures have kept me invested with this character and it just makes me that much more excited to see him portrayed on the silver screen. I would like the Cable and Deadpool series next (and eventually all Deadpool related media) but I think the next one I’m going to buy will be the next volume of the Complete Collection and Deadpool Vs. Thanos as starting a new series would just confuse my little brain.

  • 12 Inch Figure – Β£259.99 (link)

Well who wouldn’t want this? Doesn’t it just look majestic? Yes it does, is exactly what your answer should be. Never mind the price, just means its proper quality. Am I right? πŸ˜€
For something a little more feasible and less stressful on the wallet. Imagine this bad boy sitting on your shelf/in your display cabinet. I want it. I want all the expensive figures at some point. Including the Star Wars Stormtrooper ones and there’s this Attack on Titan figure (link here) that would mortally wound my bank account. If you have the Β£300 to spare it would make an excellent addition to anyone’s collection.

  • Pop! Vinyl Deadpool Chimichanga Truck – Β£22.99 (link)

This I could live with and not feel like my bank account hates me. I have said before in other posts my uneasiness with Pop! Vinyl figures but I think this one would be pretty cool to have. It has the figure with Deadpool’s Chimichanga Truck. What is not like about that?

  • Clothing

For something to wear out there’s plenty of things out there, be it official or not there’s some decent quality stuff. Just Google β€œDeadpool clothing” and you will find an abundance of items but if you want to be saved that arduous journey of pressing Ctrl+T and typing that short sentence here’s a few items.

  • Varsity Jacket – Β£29.99 (link)

I love my varsity clothing, I have enough myself. My snowboard jacket is varsity, I have a Black Mesa (Half Life) varsity and a few other jackets to go along with them. For me the colour isn’t my thing as it’s too in your face but it still looks pretty cool. Natalee talked about this in her February wish list (link here) and I think she likes this item more so than me.

  • T-Shirts – starting from Β£14.99-Β£15.99 (link, and link)

For something a bit more subtle you can go for these t-shirts. I can see myself wearing these to show my support for the β€˜pool.

  • Lego Keyring – Various prices on eBay, just search for “Lego Deadpool keyring/keychain”

This one is quite the unique one. Nat actually bought us one each as a little Valentine’s Day present, and they are pretty darn awesome. Merging the Lego and Marvel universes even further by this unofficial Lego figure. I can’t really see Lego ever bringing out this character officially as he is known to be aimed at a more mature audience, then again he has had more toned down appearances in other media including Ultimate Spiderman. So there could be a chance, but in the mean time I am happy to settle with this. His swords even detach and can be held! Whoever made this is pretty skilled, mega props to them!

  • Game (available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4) – starting from Β£26.59-Β£28.00 (link)

I know that when it was originally released it wasn’t the best game in the world and according to newer reviews it still isn’t. It has been released for newer consoles and includes some of the up-dates and DLC bundled with it. I have watched Lets Players run through this game and it looks entertaining but the game play just seems… Bleh. I am also conflicted by the way Deadpool is portrayed. From memory he’s a bit wackier than I would like. Which yes Deadpool is crazy and can be quirky, but he’s not THAT bad. The game seemed to remind me of the Animaniacs and I just think that’s a bit too much for his character. He has some dark moments in the comics; he’s desperate to die, he has an intimate relationship with the Marvel personification of death (who is female) and he just wants to be seen as a good guy really. I haven’t actually played the game (yet) so my re-view could be somewhat unfair and my assumptions and prejudices could be preventing me from being exposed to great Deadpool media. For what it is, a cash grab by Activision to jump on the movie hype, it is a tad expensive and I will be waiting for a price drop or sale to happen before genuinely going to buy it.

So there it is a few ideas for the Deadpool lovers out there. I know I will be getting a few of these.

Both Nat and I are excited to see the film in a few hours, are you? Have you seen anything here that you think you would like to buy for yourself, if not someone else? Have you got any awesome Deadpool items you want to share with us? Feel let us know, and feel free to comment below and tell us what you think! Ciao! πŸ˜€

Thanks again to Dane for being on my blog! I love when he writes for me, as like Deadpool he is just so wacky, and hilarious. πŸ˜›

We’re off to go watch Deadpool now anyhoo, I hope you are too!

Until next time all, take care.

Currently #2

I know it hasn’t been too long since the last currently list (just over two weeks to be exact!) but I felt the need to do another one, as I have currently been doing, and loving so much stuff! All whilst working a lot… Which is the reason I’ve been so quiet on my blog lately.

Watching: I’ve been watching Jackass again lately. Every time I re-watch it I am once again reminded how much I love that damn show, but at the same time I forgot just how much I miss Ryan Dunn. As well as Jackass me and my boyfriend recently downloaded the Crunchy Roll app, and we are in love with it! It’s an app like Netflix that allows you to watch anime, as well as Japanese drama, and regular readers will know how much I love all things Japan (apart from octopus balls… Ew) so this app was a definite must have for us. Thanks to the app I was able to finally watch Himouto! Umaru-chan, something I have wanted to watch for AGES! It’s an anime about a high school girl who outside of her house and in school appears to be perfect, in every way. However as soon as she goes home, she turns into a lazy, gaming nerd. That is legit me… Apart from the perfect in every way… That isn’t me. πŸ˜› BUT it is such an amazing anime and I am already a huge fan. I recommend anime fans to check it out ASAP. I’ve linked a video above with the introduction to the show. I don’t want to link anything that will ruin the show for anyone.

Playing: There’s one game I’ve been playing loads this month and that’s Lego: The Hobbit game. I had neglected it for a while until recently when I decided it was time to finish it… I’m not even halfway through it… DOH! I loved The Hobbit films, and although a lot of people disliked them, they were my favourite out of the Lord of The Rings series… Please don’t hate me LoTR’s fans! Alongside that me and my boyfriend finished Life is Strange, after the last episode came out last week. I’ve loved that game so much, and I really want to play it from start to finish soon. The story was amazing, and the way it ended was incredibly sad and not at all predictable like most games, movies, books, etc are these days. I recommend Life is Strange if you like gaming, especially games like Heavy Rain, and Beyond Two Souls where you need to choose how the story ends.

Listening: I honestly haven’t listened to much different from I usually do… I usually listen to Bloodhound Gang of late, but alas this hasn’t been the case the past couple of weeks. On my drive to work and back I’ve had my iPod on shuffle, but this being said a certain band has stuck out lately, and I’ve listened to them quite a bit not just in my car, but also in my boyfriends car. I grew up listened to Limp Bizkit’s album Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water (gosh, what a mouthful!) so whenever I listen to it now it takes me back to when I first started to discover nu metal/rap metal and how much I loved it. To name a few of my favourite songs from the album would have to be, “My Way” (which is my favourite Limp Bizkit song tbh…), “Livin’ It Up”, and “Getcha Groove On” (which I have linked above in a YouTube video as it’s my favourite song from the album).

Image taken from weheartit.com

Eating: I’ve been eating so much Japanese food lately, it’s crazy. With the new Grand Central opening in Birmingham, and also a new Yo! Sushi opening up in there too, me and my boyfriend thought we would treat ourselves to Japanese food there. Only to do the same again the weekend after, but at a Japanese restaurant in Coventry called Chi Bar. My friend also wanted to visit the new Yo! Sushi, so I went again, and like before we also went to the Chi Bar that same weekend too! It sounds really bad eating so much Japanese food, diet wise, but oh my it was so worth it! I’m such a fan for the sumo bowls at Yo! Sushi, as well as any flavour gyoza. Yummy!

Image taken from weheartit.com

Wearing: I’ve still been wearing my Dr Martens boots loads, but sadly they have been giving my feet a bit of trouble so they’ve been retired for a few weeks to allow my feet a much-needed break. Instead I have been rocking my Star Wars Vans again, a pair of shoes that I have been loving all of 2015 so far, and I know this will continue. They’re so perfect and easy to wear, with any outfit really. I really want to pick up another pair, just incase my current ones fall apart or anything worse! I do however have some new Vans, which I will be showing off on Friday!

Image taken from Jeffree Star Cosmetics official Instagram page

Wanting: Honestly there isn’t all that much I am lusting after at the moment… Which comes as a shock to me to be perfectly honest. πŸ˜› If there is one thing I really want right now, it is one of the Christmas shades from Jeffree Star Cosmetics, this one of course being Hoe Hoe Hoe. It is a beautiful dark red shade, with pink shimmer running throughout. I haven’t seen anyone else do this with a liquid lipstick, and not to mention it is very beautiful! I’ll be ordering one as soon as they are put live on Cocktail Cosmetics website!

What things are you currently into? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below. I apologise that I have been so quiet lately, I am now working full-time at work again so I am trying my best to try and juggle work and my blog. It’ll all be okay! ^_^

Until next time all, take care and I hope all my readers are having a lovely week so far.

July Pay Day Haul

Okay so I said I wouldn’t be spending any money due to a voluntary spending ban, but I ended up spending… But this being said I don’t feel I spent much when I was out and I wrote my wish list post a day before pay day, so I didn’t know I would earn as much as I actually did.

So with a few extra pounds burning a hole in my pocket I bought a few things on a shopping trip with my boyfriend and our friend Sophie (hello!). My mom also owed me some money and offered to pay me back in a few items I wanted to pick up, so she kindly ordered said items for me. Oh and a couple of things my boyfriend kindly bought me. So I did save some money in that sense.

Before we went on our shopping adventure, I received the goodies my mom ordered for me in the post, the first one being Neal & Wolf’s Daily Cleansing Shampoo in a huge 950ml tub! I remembered testing this shampoo out two years ago and I loved it. I just can’t believe it has taken me that long to order a bottle to finally use. I’m also really impressed with how quick Neal & Wolf shipped my shampoo as well. I ordered it Thursday late morning/early afternoon and it arrived first thing Friday morning! I was so happy that I would get the chance to use it Friday (as that’s a regular wash day for my hair), so happy in fact that I dropped Neal & Wolf an email to thank them on their awesome customer service. It was packaged really well too, which I was glad about. I’ve used this a couple of times now and after use my hair feels smooth and looks fresh and clean. I’m so happy that I finally have this shampoo, but now I’m just wanting to try out more of their range.

The next thing my mom offered to order for me was some Lush goodies as she knew I was after a new body scrub, as well as a new face scrub. I knew I wanted Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub, but was umming and ahhing over Ocean Salt Face And Body Scrub. I tried a sample of it from Lush the last time I visited one of their stores, and I did really like it. So I ended up caving in and told my mom to order both.

Since having these I’ve of course used both and I have never loved a product as much as I love Rub Rub Rub. I used it on wet skin and it has left my rougher parts (top of arms and thighs) gorgeously smooth! I don’t want to talk too much about it as I really want to review it soon. As for Ocean Salt I can’t really praise it as much as Rub Rub Rub, not because it’s a bad product but just because I don’t feel I’ve used it to it’s full potential yet. That being said I used it on my face as a scrub, at the time I was suffering with some bad breakouts, but a day or two after using Ocean Salt, they appeared to go away. I put this down to the vodka ingredient in Ocean Salt. I didn’t find this too rough on my skin, which is strange considering I have sensitive skin. However, due to this I’ll only use this as a once as week treat.

Our first stop on our shopping trip was IKEA, mainly because we wanted to get it out of the way. My friend needed to pick up some frames, whilst me and my boyfriend just wanted to have a quick mooch around. Whilst in the frame section my boyfriend suggested I pick one up for a picture we had drawn of us at Hyper Japan (you can read all about that here and here) and I was worried it wouldn’t fit in the frame, but alas as you can see it fits perfect. It was only Β£2 as well, which was a complete bargain!

A couple of other things I decided to pick up were some small candles. I picked up some scented candles… Which I now regret because 1. I forgot that there is a Yankee Candle store where we went shopping, and 2. IKEA candles are bloody awful! I picked up a pack of chocolate fudge and peppermint candy. These came in three packs of each, but I gave three to my boyfriend, two chocolate and one peppermint. I’ve so far only burnt the peppermint ones (which is why one is missing from the picture above) and as I said, these just aren’t very good. They’re great if I don’t wish to light a Yankee Candle, or have anything with a strong throw burning, but I expected SOME scent. So IKEA, very disappointed.

Whenever I go to the shopping centre we visited, I ALWAYS go into the Yankee Candle there, and more often then not I leave with something, usually something big. This time, like always I left with a large jar candle. This store are amazing when it comes down to Yankee Candle exclusives and they always stock them, and even more of a range than the official store which I think is great. Oh and can I mention that they don’t charge Β£21.99 for large candles either? I’m disgusted that Yankee Candle have put the prices up on their large jars. It isn’t right!… Mini rant over… So I made sure to sniff every exclusive jar they had in store and I wasn’t going to buy one and to be honest, if I had a lot of money I probably would have left the store with at least five candles… Oh yeah! I was tied between Blueberry Scone, Cotton Candy, and Hazelnut Coffee. My boyfriend was asking me which I liked the most, as well as which I didn’t have a scent similar to already, which was definitely Hazelnut Coffee. So with that choice made he took it off of me and made his way to the till. It was really lovely that he bought me a candle, as he was the one who said, “you should save your money Nat.” but alas, it was so sweet of him to buy this for me. I’m not burning it until I have used up all the IKEA candles I bought. It smells so rich and delicious that I cannot wait to use this in the autumn. Roll on September!

This isn’t beauty or fashion related, I know but meh not everything can be! I’ve been after this game for years and with my and my boyfriend playing Lego Jurassic World at his house recently it’s made me realise just how much I miss playing the Lego games. So I decided (if it was the right money) to pick up Lego The Hobbit. I loved the trilogy and I especially loved playing Lego The Lord of The Rings. Plus I’ve wanted this game ever since it came out. Since buying it I’ve been playing it loads, and it’s a definite chill out treat after work, as well as for lazy days in bed.

I didn’t buy anything from Lush whilst I was out shopping, as I had already picked up what I wanted a few days prior, but I did know that I wanted to grab a sample of one of their coal facial cleansers. I gave Dark Angels Facial Cleanser a go in store and it was really nice! With Lush I always try before I buy if I can, as I’m allergic to some of the ingredients they use and I don’t wish to spend a lot of money to find out not long after I’m allergic to said product. This felt lovely after I used it in the store on the back of my hand, and as of yet I haven’t tried it out on my skin, but I will soon and will make sure to update.

I do just want to say the staff at the store I visited were lovely! We had a good natter about all the new products that will be hitting all the Lush stores and online for Summer tomorrow! A huge majority of these new products will be from the Oxford Store (can read about my experience there and see my haul here) too! I will be making a small order of products I didn’t manage to pick up in London. I cannot wait.

Finally when I popped to Asda to grab some dinner for me and my boyfriend, I decided to pick up a new album for my car, as quite frankly my music at the moment is really boring me. Plus I wanted something relaxing. I listened to most of this on Spotify before I picked it up to make sure I liked it, and I loved it. Very chilled music that I can listen to whilst I write for university, for my blog, or if I just want something mellow in the background whilst I chill out. It was only a tenner and when we got to the till my boyfriend was lovely enough to buy it for me. Total sweetheart! I now have this album on my iPod, as well as in the car and it’s a definite must have if you like chill out music.

At the moment of writing this post, I haven’t been able to take pictures of the actual products yet due to them not arriving, but as you can see I’ve edited a lovely image of the two things I bought from eBay. The first one being a new case for my iPhone 6, which I should be getting today! I like to have a wrap around case for my phone whilst I’m at work to protect it that little more. It was only 99p with free postage so I’m pleased at that. It’s The Fault in Our Stars themed, which is a book/film I adore.

The second thing I bought was something I wasn’t even sure I would bother bidding on. But alas I bid on the last 10 seconds and won! I’ve been after a new piece from Black Milk Clothing for quite a while now. I bought my mermaid leggings about a year ago and they weren’t cheap at Β£35, but I was content with that, considering they cost a hell of a lot more from Black Milk Clothing themselves, not to mention how much the shipping costs! So every week I had a good look through eBay to see what I can snag for a bargain in my size, and I found this dress. It’s a thermal dress and will be perfect for autumn and winter when it’s chilly outside. I managed to snag this beauty brand new with tags for just under Β£30! I’m so pleased with how much I got it for and I know I’ll enjoy wearing it when it arrives. I already have the idea to team this up with my Jake Dr Martens boots (can read about those here) and depending on what happens, I may even wear this dress to my graduation. But we shall see. I can’t wait to do a look book with this dress though already.

So that is my haul from pay day! I didn’t spend much and I’m really pleased about that. I won’t buy much more this month now and although I should really save money, I don’t feel like I made any ridiculous purchases, which I’m pleased about.

Has anyone else bought some lovely little bits and pieces for themselves since pay day? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all.

Disaster Designs Paper Plane Satchel & Bonus What’s In My Bag

Recently I bought myself a new bag and after a few weeks of using it, I’m finally getting around to showing it off on my blog!

It’s my gorgeous new Disaster Designs bag! It’s the Paper Plane design and it’s been about for ages, since my second or third year of university and that was back in 2009-2011! One of my favourite shops in Birmingham used to sell the whole Paper Plane’s range but as a skint student I just lusted over the expensive bags, never buying one for myself. At the time it was out in the shop in question it cost either Β£40 or Β£50, a lot of money for a bag and I couldn’t justify paying that much. To make matters worse a girl in one of my classes at university had this bag and I envied her every class we had together!

As regular readers will have seen, I mentioned this bag in my February Wish List earlier this month and how much I was in need of a new one and when I remembered back to this satchel that I had wanted all those years ago, I went straight to eBay to try and find a good bargain.

There were a couple of these on there but they were either new but too expensive or used and in terrible condition for nearly just as much as the new ones on there. Eventually I stumbled across this bag, brand new and bloody hell did I have to do some bidding to get it! Eventually I won the bid and snapped this beauty up for Β£30.00, with Β£4.00 for P&P.

Since test driving this bag over the past 2 weeks, I knew I had to do a post about it, and as well as writing about my new bag, I thought I’d show you what I keep in there too. Think of it as a bonus!

But first of all, about the bag!

This is definitely a different satchel than ones you would normally buy, and that’s what I like about it! I love the Paper Plane theme and it looks so pretty and cute. You can buy all sorts of bags from the Paper Plane collection but this one just grabs my eye that little more than the others, probably because of its letter and plane theme. It just seems frightfully romantic and really does bring out the writer in me.

Not only does the bag look gorgeous with the style of it and design, but the cute little features on it too really do stand out and make it rather unique to anything else you would find out there. The front of the bag has little features such as a bird, which looks to be a swallow, as well as a red and white bow on one of the buckles, a hanging postage stamp shaped piece that says, “travel in style” with a swallow in the middle, and in between the two buckles on the flap of the bag it reads, “Return to sender” which I love the most about this bag.

Even on the back of the bag there is some detail, but only one! In the middle of the back of the bag there is a little white square with a red envelope inside, underneath it says “S.W.A.L.K” and quite frankly I don’t have a clue what it stands for! So, I went to Google and I found out exactly what it means (I found out the meaning on Wikipedia):

S.W.A.L.K. is an acronym usually seen on a love letter of a courting couple. It stands for “sealed with a loving kiss” and is one of several acronyms that seemingly originated during the Second World War. A variant is S.W.A.K., sealed with a kiss.

If I didn’t love my bag before knowing this, then I must be IN love with it now! It’s such a gorgeous think to put on the bag and makes the bag seem even more beautiful than I already thought it was.

I love this bag so much and whilst some websites do still sell it, your best bet might just be to pop onto eBay like I did. I typed in “Disaster Designs paper plane satchel” and you should at least find one bag if not a couple.

So, what’s IN my bag?

Yes it’s time for the bonus part of this post where I show what I’m keeping in my new bag. I took these pictures after a close shift at work, so this is what was in there when I got home. I didn’t add or remove anything either, so I’m not cheating. πŸ™‚

I always make sure to throw a book in my bag if I’m going to work or if I’m meeting a friend as I like something to read before I head into work or if I turn up somewhere early or a friends running late. I’ve recently started reading Simon Pegg’s autobiography called Nerd Do Well. I’m only on chapter 2 and I love it already! It’s such an amazing book and so far with the way he’s planned it out it’s great. I can see me writing a huge post about it once I’ve finished reading it.

Of course I must have my iPhone 5 in here. I actually slipped it into the case I use at home, which is my rubber Game Boy case, but when I’m out and about I use my hand red case as if I were to drop it with my Game Boy case on, it could smash… Which isn’t good!

Another necessity for anyone, whether you have a bag or not are house keys and some money. I love my house keys, they’re multicoloured tartan but it’s my key rings that I like the most. Three of them are Lego related, one being R2D2 from Star Wars (this is my second one of him, as my first was 10 years old and the print faded), whilst my other two are of Frodo Baggins and Bilbo Baggins from Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. Finally I have a glass seahorse that was a recent purchase when my friend Poppy and I visited The Sea Life Center in Birmingham. She bought the same one, so now we have matching key rings, which is somewhat cute.

I love my wallet so much, as I love foxes, but also because it reminds me of my Gran. For my 22nd birthday in 2012 she gave me some birthday money, which I used to buy this wallet and as regular or old readers will know, she passed away nearly a year ago. Not only is it a gorgeous wallet, but it holds so much stuff in there too! It’s by Loungefly and whilst it wasn’t cheap, for the two years I’ve had it, it’s doing me well! I thought about buying the matching purse and bag for this but sadly I can’t find them anywhere to pick up!

As I drive I keep my car key and my car stereo in my bag whenever I’m at home as I drive pretty much everywhere now! I really don’t know how I could travel via the bus, it’s all cars and trains for me now. I love my car and what better way to show it than a couple of cute key rings! I was going to have small key rings on my car key but I knew it would be impossible to find them in my bag and I didn’t want to keep my car key with my house keys… So I opted for a massive plushie key ring for my car key! As well as that when I saw this cute 101 Dalmatian key ring in the Disney Store years ago, I couldn’t leave it behind and bought it to keep on my car key too.

My stereo is pretty standard, I listen to must a lot whilst driving, but I HATE having to make a new CD to listen to every few weeks.

DSC_0018

Just some standard things a woman will keep in her handbag… A mirror for when I top up my lipsticks, hand sanitizer, paracetamol, tissues and some hand cream. Nothing special!

DSC_0019

Finally we have what I keep in the little zip pocket inside my bag… I know I have a lot of lip balms, but I shall explain why! I bought the Carmex one on a whim that I was loving the original and wanted one to keep in my handbag. As you can see this one is in Strawberry and it’s vile! I can’t wait to use it up, but at the same time it does do a good job when applied over lipstick, but it tastes fowl! I think my favourite lip balm every has to be my Apple Chapstick and I think I’m running low on this too. It’s not the best lip balm in the world though, it just tastes and smells delicious! The best one out of the three is my Palmer’s Cocoa Butter. It’s really creamy and out of them all is the only one that I can actually feel working when I apply it, but at times I think my lips are allergic as they tingle and hurt. Either way I keep three in my bag incase I lose one… Good enough reason, right?

As well as those I keep a little hand cream in here which is the same as the large one in the previous photo as well as a lip product. The one I’ve been using a lot this week is this lip gloss by Collection 2000 called Lock N Hold. I might review this soon but I know one thing I will say, it doesn’t last 6 hours at all! I wear this at work and have to top it up every hour, which doesn’t bother me, but when I’m on a shift for less than 6 hours, it’s concerning. Let me know if you want me to review this!

So with an empty bag, I’ve thrown everything back in and got into bed!

I love my new bag so much and it’s going to be featured a lot on future What I’m Wearing posts, which I want to try and get back up on my blog again.

So, what do you think of my new bag? Love it, hate it, or not arsed? πŸ˜› Let me know in the comments!

If you have any questions about the bag, or anything else mentioned in this post, please feel free to ask in the comments too.

I hope you’ve all had a great week so far and here’s to the weekend!

Until next time, take care all.
