Japan Series – Where We Plan To Go

Hello and welcome to the second post of the Japan Series! I posted last month on my blog the exciting news about how me and Dane are FINALLY going to Japan in 2020. It still hasn’t sunk in, but almost daily we are talking about it and where we want to go, whether it be to visit, shop, eat and drink.

We are constantly asking people and researching. I thought I would share with my gorgeous readers where we are planning to go and why!

This is a place I have wanted to visit ever since I heard about many years ago. I LOVE Studio Ghibli so much and alongside Elfen Lied it’s what actually got me into anime in the first place! I have fond memories of my dad and me watching Spirited Away one day after school during a rain storm outside. Years later I bought it on DVD and not long after me and Dane got together, I took the DVD to his house so we could watch it. I even want a tattoo of Haku on my bicep! It’s just a film I adore to the bottom of my heart. The museum apparently isn’t mind blowing, but I don’t care. I still plan to go! You have to book tickets a month in advance, so Dane has daily reminders a month before we’re off to Japan to book the tickets so we don’t miss out! I plan (if I’m allowed to do so!) to take loads of photos of the museum and possibly spend a little bit too much money in the gift shop. πŸ˜›

These gorgeous light museums are somewhere I have wanted to visit for quite some time now and I am so excited to finally have the chance to go when we visit Japan. I’m not a massive museum or art exhibition person… I can at times find them quite boring, but these interactive light installations look amazing. You can download an app to use alongside the experience, which I really like the look and sound of. You need to book in advance and from memory it said two months, so myself and Dane will be keeping our eyes peeled for when we can book!

This is a place I’ve ummed about for ages because I really want to go, but I don’t know if I love Sanrio enough to… In the end however, I would really love to go! It looks like it’s a good day out to go and explore, see a couple of shows (maybe) and just go around the area. Of course there’s lots of shopping to be done throughout too. I say I don’t love Sanrio, but I do have a lot of memories with Sanrio. I remember back when I was coming towards the end of primary school and in my first couple of years of secondary school, I adored Sanrio and couldn’t get enough of it! I fell in love with Chococat, Cinnamoroll (alongside his friends Azuki, Milk, Chiffon, Espresso, Mocha and Cappuccino) who came out in the early 00’s and especially Pompompurin! The most recent character Aggretsuko is amazing and I adore her so much. The more I write and think about it, the more I really would like to go to Puroland whilst we’re in Japan!

This is somewhere in Japan I REALLY want to go to but I don’t know if it’s going to happen or not… Basically Nara Park is located in Nara, which is nearly 4 and a half hours away by train… Unless we get up really early and go to Nara for a day… I don’t know if we’ll be able to go or not. In Nara Park you can feed the deer that live there. They bow their heads for food and as a reward, you feed them. Both me and Dane love animals, so it’s something we would both love to do whilst we’re out there. I feel like Dane will sort it so we can go, but I’m worried it won’t be able to happen… We shall see! πŸ™‚

Violet Evergarden : the Movie

Image taken from Kyoto Animation website

This isn’t somewhere me and Dane thought about going before the tragic arson attack that happened at Kyoto Animation on the morning of 18th July 2019. We LOVE loads of anime that has been released by Kyoto Animation such as K-ON!, Nichijo, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, A Silent Voice, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and Violet Evergarden. It broke out hearts when we heard about what had happened to the studio and it still to this day upsets me. It hurts even more that the director of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon MaidΒ died in the attack of Kyoto Animation. This is by far one of my favourite anime and manga series to date and I know they had just started to work on a second season too. I want to go and pay my respects to be honest and I’m hoping that when we’re out in Japan, Kyoto Animation will have begun to rebuild and me and Dane will be able to see how it’s forming and growing again.

The white color of TOKYO SKYTREE blends into the blue sky.

Image taken from Tokyo Skytree website

This is somewhere I really do want to go to in Japan… However I am also shit scared. I’m not a massive fan of heights in all honesty and I especially hate using lifts. Of course, both of these need to be used when it comes to visiting the Tokyo Skytree. This being said I know Dane really wants to go and visit this whilst we’re in Japan and to be honest with you, I would hate to come back from our trip and think, “I wish we had gone and done it now.” So yes, I will suck it in and go! If anything whilst I will be scared, I know I’ll also love it!

Honestly guys, I could go on for hours about all the places in Japan that me and Dane plan to visit, but I could be here for ages and would definitely bore you all! πŸ˜› These are the main places we plan to go and would love to go whilst we’re in Japan.

Our holiday STILL hasn’t sunk in for me and honestly, it won’t until we’re boarding the plane and I’m beginning to have a mini panic attack!

What do you think to the places both me and Dane would like to visit in Japan? Make sure to let us know in the comments and hey! Even suggest any if you’ve visited Japan yourselves!

Next time I plan to talk about food and drinks places we plan to visit, including cafes! πŸ˜€

Until next time, take care all and I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Japan Series – We’re Going To Japan!

Excited Cute Girl GIF

Image taken from GIPHY

This is a series I have spoken about starting for about a month now and finally I’m starting it! This series is one I didn’t know if I would ever write about, due to the fact some dreams just don’t seem like a reality.

However, me and Dane suddenly decided that enough was enough. Before we knew it we were approaching 6 months into 2019 and we hadn’t even come close to booking out dream holiday to Japan. No matter what we had decided we wanted to go in 2020 and that was that.

Before I go into any details leading up to booking our holiday, I want to talk a little bit about this new series on my blog and what you as the reader will come to expect from it each month.

Yes, it will be a monthly series and from what I can tell, it’s also going to be indefinite! This isn’t the first Japan series I’ve written on my blog, back in 2014 I decided to do a 4 part series about Japan, why I wanted to go as well as things to do with Japan that made the series what it was. I’ll link all 4 posts below so you can go and check them out. I know I gave them a read through whilst writing this post.

Japanese Series: Manga

Japanese Series: Asian Food

Japanese Series: Places To VisitΒ (including Dane’s!)

Japanese Series: Studio Ghibli

Not going to lie, I gave the manga post a read and it made me laugh at my younger self.

“As you can see from the above image, I own quite a lot of manga books so far, eight in total, seven from one manga series and one from another.”

Over 5 years have passed since I wrote that post in February 2014 and I own so much fucking more than that now. The seven books I own from one series is Nana – which I have already doubled on by now owning all 21 volumes. I could list all of the manga I now own but I would be here for ages and that’s for another post in the future.

I didn’t read the other three posts in detail but from skimming, not a whole lot has changed in terms of where both me and Dane would love to visit in Japan.

We’ve had dreams of going to Japan for a holiday in mind for all that time and now we are finally making it a reality. I still can’t believe it to be honest with you… It still hasn’t truly sunk in and I don’t think it will until I’m packing my bag for the holiday and getting on the plane for the 11-12 hour flight… That I am dreading.

As excited as I am for my trip to one of the places I have dreamed of going for over 10 years, I am shit scared for the flight there and back from Japan. I hate flying at the best of times and that’s just with a 4 hour flight. I’m sure and know I’ll be okay, but nonetheless, I’m still really anxious.

I feel like I’ve rambled loads so far on this post and I do apologise for that… I just want to try and get as much into this post as I can! πŸ˜€

As this is the first post of many in this new Japan series, I want to basically lay it down what the future is going to be like for these posts.

I want to talk about what research me and Dane did before booking our holiday, including booking flights and hotel, as well as how we saved the monies and paid for the holiday. I’ll also be showing off loads of blogs and YouTubers who helped along the way without realising it.

Then I want to talk in posts about which places me and Dane are planning to go to, as well as book which will be for food mostly, as well as fun days out.

I just have so much stuff I want to talk about on this series and I am really excited for it!

I hope you guys are just as excited for this series as I am to write it for you all, as well as me.

What are you excited to read in these Japan series posts? Are you happy with seeing them once a month? Or would you like to see them twice a month instead? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and I hope I haven’t bored you too much with this post. πŸ˜›

Why Being Burnt Out In March Was Worth It

Well damn March was a crazy fucking month. Yes I am starting this post off with swearing because it is necessary for me describing March already. πŸ˜›

March was crazy and left me feeling burnt out, but damn has it been worth it. March has been the busiest time for my blog in possibly forever as well as in my personal life so with both of those being constantly changing and on the go, I’ve mentally drained myself and for two weeks during March I was actually poorly due to nerves… More about that as the post goes on!

First of all I want to say a HUGE thank you to my lovely followers who are still here! My posts have gone from 2-3 a week to just one at the moment and that bugs me. I like to make sure I have a nice amount of content a week to keep readers happy during that time. I’ve just been too busy to do this many posts in March, but I’m already hopeful that April won’t be this way. Posts will resume back to how they used to be ASAP!

March was really busy for me with blogging events and opportunities and I’m so thankful for that! I love when I get asked to review items or experiences gifted to myself and it makes me so happy to see from that how my blog is growing. It’s also a massive thanks to Coventry Bloggers and the beautiful and hard working Emily who owns it (The Emily Chapters) for giving me the opportunities in the first place. She’s such a star and if you’re a Coventry (or Midlands blogger) then make sure to go and check the group out which I’ve linked. πŸ™‚

I went to so many events including Skinthetics to try out one of the facials they have to offer, Esquires Coffee to taste their new breakfast menu, Palms Bar to taste their new lunch menu, a SS19 fashion and beauty press day (which I’ll be talking about on my blog later this week!) and tomorrow I’ll be going to MOD in Coventry to check out this newly opening pizza restaurant! πŸ˜€

Most of the events were food related, which I’m always down with attending… I love food! πŸ˜›

As well as these events I was also invited to Bubbla Boba in FarGo Village for an event and sadly had to cancel due to how burnt out I was. I was also invited to another event at the start of April, but due to work I can’t attend this either. 😦

But this is the reality of people who work full time and blog as a hobby. This isn’t my job, it’s just a hobby but it’s a hobby I really love and enjoy! I can’t always attend events, no matter how much I want to and if I can’t attend it means someone else can who I’m sure is just as excited as I am to attend. πŸ™‚

So yeah blogging has been slow due to having so many exciting things going on throughout March to do with my blog. Baffling, huh?! As I said before April will be different the reason for that is…

I have a new job! πŸ˜€

As always, I never go into detail about where I work, etc and that certainly won’t be changing here. πŸ˜› All I’ll say is I will be staying in admin, which is a career I have loved doing in my current job so I know I want to continue with that in the future!

I start on 1st April and it’s such an amazing job and company I’ll be moving to! I had to have two interviews and the first one I was so damn nervous in the run up to it, but as soon as I sat down in that interview I was fine and just ploughed through out the best I could, which clearly was amazing as they asked me back for a second interview.

Mere hours after that second interview I was offered the job. I leave where I work on Friday and I am so sad to be saying bye to such an amazing team that I work with. They’re all such lovely people and I’m sad to say goodbye. This being said I know for a fact I’ll see them outside of work and due to that I’m not entirely sad. πŸ™‚

Again I won’t go into anymore detail about where I’m moving to and such but I’m so damn excited and I can’t wait for Monday 1st when I start! πŸ˜€

I’m just so damn happy at the moment and I’d like to think it shows with friends and family at the moment.

That’s pretty much the majority of what I wanted to talk about on this catch up post today. I have so many ideas for posts on my blog, as well as collaborating with some gorgeous people too!

I already have posts in mind such as hauls, reviews, wish list Wednesday’s and many more so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for those.

Are there any posts you’d like to see on my blog soon? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

I hope all my readers are well and have had an amazing month! Easter will be here soon, which is so exciting… You know scoffing all the chocolate… πŸ˜›

Until next time, take care all and I hope your weeks are going well so far.

Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining…

Image taken from weheartit.com

I do apologise for being a bit quiet on my blog the past fortnight, but to say I’ve had a mixture of one would be a huge understatement! I would have written a review, or even any other type of post but I just felt the need to write about this this evening.

Basically a fortnight ago I did some damage to my car… I was gutted, crying and even had a panic attack. I did it trying to rush away from work, a stupid silly mistake that I regret doing so much.

Sadly the damage needs to be fixed and paid for, which I won’t be able to do until after Christmas. I wanted to get it done as soon as possible but it just isn’t going to happen this side of Christmas.

To be honest with what happened with my car, it left me feeling really depressed. I already felt crappy and low but that just seemed to add so much on top of it. I constantly flooded myself with guilt and only the past couple of days have I actually started to feel better.

My dad and Dane have both been really helpful with sorting out my car and I don’t think I can thank them both enough than I already have.

Image taken from weheartit.com

As you see from the title of this post, every cloud has a silver lining, and I bet you’re wondering where that comes into play with my car?

Well… I start a new job on Monday and I am so bloody excited! I left my previous job today and it’s strange thinking that I won’t need to go back in on Friday (tomorrow is usually my day off).

I did wonder if I would get emotional and upset when leaving that job, but alas that isn’t the case and I actually feel kinda okay about leaving. I don’t feel happy about it but I feel like I’m making a huge change and one I really needed for quite some time now.

Let’s just put it this way, I have been working in retail/hospitality since I was 22 and although that’s only 5 years, that’s just 5 years too many for me. I hate working in retail and hospitality and honestly I think everyone should have work experience at least in it so they can see how it feels.

It’s so shitty when a customer is nasty to you about something that is out of your control and it’s especially shitty when you don’t even get a simple please and thank you.

Image taken from weheartit.com

It isn’t just the customers though that makes retail and hospitality crap, it’s the whole working bank holidays, Christmas and weekends. I know that sounds pathetic but I missed having weekends off so much whilst working my previous job. I worked every other weekend and to be honest that was enough! Weekends went by quickly and I couldn’t really complain, but it always sucked if me and Dane had birthdays and events happening during my weekends in work. We would either have to go to events and leave super early for me working early the next day, not go at all or use up all my holiday time on weekends.

When I think about it, if there is one thing I’ll miss about my previous job it’s the people I go on with and had “banter” with during my shifts. I could name at least a handful of people who really knew how to cheer me up on days when I felt at my worst, but I won’t. If they read this post, I’m sure they’ll know who they are!

Since moving from my old position in the store to the one I was doing when I left, I have met some incredible people and ones I feel like I’ve now got as friends for life (well… I hope so anyway!). I’m just sad I won’t get to see them every day anymore and have a laugh. We are planning to hang out and do stuff anyway, so that’ll be awesome.

I’ll also miss my discount, I’ve never had a discount so good!

I don’t particularly want to go into too much detail about my new job as I of course want to keep some privacy on here. I never really spoke about where I worked in my previous job and I don’t really intend to for a while, if at all.

Image taken from weheartit.com

The only thing I’ll say about my new job is that it’s in administration, which I have been wanting to do for years, probably for the past 2-3 years to be honest. I start on Monday and I feel a mixture of excited and nervous, you know the usual first day feelings of a new job!

One thing I am excited for at the moment is meeting up with my best friend Gabriella and our friend Megan in a couple of days to go for a girly day out! I need some new clothing for my new job so I need some help and honest opinions with outfits, etc. As well as that we’ll more than likely hunt around for some Japanese food to eat too!

To be honest it was only due to what happened to my car that I tried for my new job. I wonder if I’d have even tried for it if I haven’t of done what I had to my car.

I used to always say, “Everything happens for a reason.” But was put off due to people being offended by the saying. The older I get, the more I realise that it’s still a good saying and one I should start using again.

I’m so excited to share my future stories of the next step in my career and of course I will do a haul post for all the new office threads I get!

Image taken from weheartit.com

Again, I am sorry for being a tad quiet lately. I’ve just felt so crappy and tired. I’m sure this won’t be as frequent as it used to be with my old job. I won’t need to wake up until 7am for work now instead of 4.30am (I’m seriously not even joking…).

What have my readers been up to lately? Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Make sure to let me know in the comments if not over on my Twitter account @maybeecoffee

Until next time, take care all!

Life Lately… A Roller Coaster!

Wow it has almost been a month since I wrote a life lately post! Just goes to show how busy I was with getting on with life that I haven’t really written a massive update.

I’ve just got back from a late shift at work and I’m sat in the living room, with Dane cooking me dinner as I binge watch YouTube videos. OH WHAT AN AMAZING LIFE I DO LEAD. END OF POST! πŸ˜› Sadly due to being so busy the weekend and the late shift yesterday I am a day late posting this… It’s worth the wait though… I hope. xD

I joke of course, this is intended to be a long read so make sure you have a hot drink handy to cradle as you read. Or at least save this post for your work break or a long journey. I hope it is as long as I am anticipating… THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID.

The first thing I want to talk about is how I went to see cKy on Friday night and how fucking amazing they were! I’ve been listening to them since I was fourteen years old and have always wanted to see them live.

SO when I saw at the start of the year that they had announced a UK tour and a date in Birmingham, I KNEW I had to go! At first Dane wasn’t so sure as I think he imagined it would cost a fortune due to it being cKy. I knew it wouldn’t be too expensive due to the original venue so when we found out it would only cost us Β£15.00 each Dane was more into the idea. I was going to go all along anyway so yeah. πŸ˜›

So the morning the tickets went on sale I was at work so Dane booked them. It did sell out but the venue changed to a bigger one so that more tickets could go on sale… I assume anyway!

I swear the couple of months we waited to go to the gig really flew by and I was so excited and nervous the day of the gig. Of course I was excited to finally go and see a band I’ve been waiting to see live for over 10 years. But I was also really nervous because of various things. Due to wanting to see them play for so many years the anticipation of being able to make sure me and Dane got a good place to sit or stand was making me anxious. I also wanted to try and meet the band before or after too, which again was making me extremely nervous.

Well I needn’t have been nervous and anxious as the gig itself was amazing! Me and Dane decided to sit towards the back by the bars so that we could get a good view and sit down without being bashed around. I do regret not being near the front but at the same time I got the same sound and a great view of everything that was going on just as well.

Before the gig we picked up some merchandise from the stand. I picked up a baseball t-shirt which I cannot wait to wear! The material is lovely and soft and when I tried it on it looked awesome. Dane got himself a t-shirt too but he picked up the tour one which looks awesome! I can see me stealing it. πŸ˜›

After the gig we hung around for a bit inside the venue and picked up the support bands CD, they were amazing and the singer/bass player had a double bass AND is left handed! I’m a left handed guitar/bass player so whenever I see lefties like myself it makes me very happy. πŸ˜›

We went around the back of the O2 Academy to see if any of the band mates were around and low and behold there was Jess! My favourite member of cKy! I didn’t actually think I’d be able to meet any of the band, let alone my favourite. I went down and after allowing people before me to “have their turn” in talking to Jess, having pictures and things signed it was my turn and I was shaking with nerves. I’ve always been nervous when meeting celebrities like anyone is but I don’t ever remember feeling this nervous before. I was shaking all over and I didn’t know what to say!

Jess was lovely though and both me and Dane had a chat with him about when he last toured with cKy, how they played Download years before and even about what he was doing that night after the show. I even recommend some bars in town for him to go and drink at. It was awesome and he signed my ticket as well as having a picture with me.

I went home feeling on top of the world and the 14 year old Nat who was starting to come out of her shell was ecstatic and like nothing could get her down. That’s somewhat how I’ve felt in my 27 year old self since Saturday night… πŸ˜›

OH and you know what? The next day Chad liked a comment I left on one of the videos cKy put up on their Instagram from the gig. This just added to how happy I had felt the night before. Sorry about the obvious phone call that I print screened what Chad liked… I was on the phone to my dad at the time. πŸ˜›

That was the biggest thing I wanted to talk about in this post BUT I also want to talk about a couple of other things!

Friday I picked up a new PS4 game as I hadn’t bought myself one since Mafia 3 and Pokemon Moon. I picked up Persona 5 and it’s one I have quickly fallen in love with! I know I love Pokemon but I haven’t been able to get into Moon that much right now sadly… Persona 5 reminds me of Pokemon a little bit to be honest but with an anime element to it. I’ll be writing more about it in my monthly favourites at the start of June but I’ll pop a trailer above so you can see what it’s all about. It came out recently so it hasn’t been out that long, but it’s been out in Japan since September/October last year! :O This seemed to be sold out for a while in the UK as wherever I looked online it either wasn’t available or was only available in limited edition steel cases which cost a FORTUNE! :/

Some good news (not that there is really any bad news in this post… Well not yet anyway!) my lips are finally looking like they’re healed after 3 fucking months of hell, pain and torture! Basically I hadΒ angular cheilitis, this whole post here explains what was wrong. After that post however I had to go back to the doctors to get some more treatment as the one I was given worked, but only to fix my eczema. I was given an anti-biotic cream which has worked marvellously! Although this being said the infection did come back and I had to apply the cream again last night. So far it looks like it has healed. I’m hoping so for various reasons…

Due to how sore my lips have been I haven’t been able to wear ANY lip products bar lip balms… Yep no lipsticks at all. I have really missed not being able to wear any and to be honest due to how the infection can contaminate lip products I am now kinda too scared to wear any of my lipsticks in case the infection hasn’t gone or returns… I’m going to give it until June to wear anything else.

Image taken from weheartit.com

As many people will know lipstick is the only make up I really wear and due to this it’s my “thing” especially since I’ve dug deeper into it and experimented with it by wearing darker colours. If there’s a lipstick I really miss wearing it’s definitely got to be my MAC lipsticks, which I am craving to wear lately. I really fucking sucks.

You watch though, as soon as I start wearing my lip products again I’ll be writing ALL THE LIPSTICK POSTS! πŸ˜›

I don’t think I really made a post about this but me and Dane are going on holiday in September! YAY! We’re both super excited for it as we weren’t planning on going on holiday until we could afford to go to Japan. My parents were kind enough to offer to pay for us to go and have it as an early Christmas present. Of course we need to get our own spending money but that isn’t a problem! We have already started saving and we’re doing really well so far. EEEP SO EXCITED! By the way, we’re going to Fuerteventura again. πŸ˜›

Speaking of “holidays” me and Dane were going to book ourselves a short couple of day trip to London for our anniversary but sadly we aren’t going to now… We got super excited about all the places we would go and visit, as well as places to go shopping and have food at. The reasons for not going ahead with it are money, money and money.

Not only do we have our holiday to think about and save up for but we also have bills to think of. I have my car insurance to renew again soon and of course having our own house isn’t cheap… So yeah.

We can always go to London at the end of the year around Christmas time, or in the New Year for my birthday. πŸ™‚

This is another bit of good news! I’ve started to be more active on my Twitter and Instagram pages which of course is good news! I was really anxious with using Instagram for my blog to be honest due to all the hashtags and well dickheads on there. πŸ˜› Sadly due to this I won’t be putting any pictures of myself on there. The only place I do that is on my personal Instagram page, which is private. πŸ˜›

Don’t forget if you want to give me a follow on either of those accounts it’s @maybeecoffee for Twitter and @theremightbecoffeeblog for Instagram.

Finally I want to talk about what makes this life lately post a roller coaster… My mental health isn’t good right now. It’s actually gotten bad enough that I am seeking getting counselling… Again. Urgh. Also that picture by The Latest Kate is so accurate for how I feel in life right now… I just wish I could think that way when I have bad days.

Image taken from The Latest Kate

This isn’t something I was expecting to have to do ever again and whilst my mental health isn’t bad in suicidal sense (although I DO feel suicidal from time to time… Yuck.) but bad in the sense my anxiety is just awful right now. I’m constantly overthinking things from work, home, friends, everything to be honest. I’ve been worse to be honest but it’s bad this time in the sense it is affecting my health. Even my doctor has told Β me due to stress and anxiety my bodies immune system is down. Not good.

So yeah. The few people I have spoken to about this has all said how proud they are of me for accepting that I need to do this for myself right now. I just hope it helps to be able to talk to someone. I feel like I bug my best friend Gab (hey! *waves*) and Dane with my problems… Even though deep down I know I don’t.

I’ll be keeping you guys updated with that stuff anyway to be honest. πŸ™‚

Other than that everything is… Weird. It’s a mixture of good and shit right now. I’m living for the good though! I’m trying to just live for the moment and have the best time I can with Dane. We both have a week off together soon so we can celebrate our anniversary. I don’t think we’ll be doing all that much other than going out for a couple of adventures, see some friends and chill out at home. πŸ™‚

Well my coffee is now bone cold and although I like cold coffee I think that means this post is over. πŸ˜›

How have my lovely readers lives been lately? Drop me a tweet about how you’re doing, or comment down below. Either way I’m happy with! I love getting comments and tweets. They make me happy. ^_^

I hope you all enjoyed today’s read and I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Until next time take care all!

Life The Past 2 Weeks…

Well these past two weeks have FLOWN by! With my university life very much done after graduating, an amazing two week holiday, and a new job, a lot of stuff has happened in a very short amount of time. So I’m going to update you all with what has happened, and what I hope to have happen before and after Christmas.

Graduation

So the day before going on holiday I graduated, and quite frankly I still can’t believe it. Mostly that my postgraduate university life is over, and that I won’t have to work on another assignment for it ever again… Until I decide to study for my PhD anyway! But this being said the year that I was studying my MA for was really hard, and not to mention expensive in various different ways. Mostly though it was extremely tiring. I would go to work in the morning, and as soon as my shift would end I would need to drive straight to my university in Cheltenham which was an hours drive away. I wouldn’t get back home until 6pm and then I would need to be awake early in the morning again. It was incredibly draining but now I look back, it was worth it. Even if for a majority of the time I didn’t feel like it would be.

I dressed in a black body con dress for the ceremony, my Black Milk Clothing dress to be exact and I felt beautiful in it! I had pictures taken with my parents and my boyfriend, as well as chatted with some familiar faces. We popped around Cheltenham for a couple of hours afterwards, and then headed home. Me and my boyfriend went out for dinner that evening before I was due to go on holiday in the morning, which was lovely. I’m glad we got the chance to do something together before I was away from him for a couple of weeks.

Holiday

The day after being awarded my masters degree I was off on a two week holiday with my dad, and boy was it needed! Although I had a holiday in January, it was very much needed having another in November/December due to how much hard work I had done for my MA. My dad paid for it as a gift for graduating, which was really lovely of him! The two weeks we spent there really did fly by, and for the majority of our days we lay out in the sun from the late morning, until the late afternoon. Spending the evenings out in restaurants eating, and bars drinking. Of course we also soaked up all the free entertainment, which was amazing.

I like to think I have a lovely light, and natural tan. I do wish I had got darker than I am, but this being said I am pleased to have come back somewhat golden looking this time, as in January we hardly had any sunny days, and this caused me and my boyfriend to come back home looking just as pale as we did when we arrived.

As well as soaking in the rays, and drinking yummy cocktails, we also did a little bit of shopping which included for ourselves, as well as for people for Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, we got to see some Christmas decorations whilst we were on the island, and some of them were gorgeous, if not even better than what we get here in the UK!

Overall my holiday was amazing, and to be honest I really didn’t want to come back home. Fuerteventura is definitely my second home. I spent a lot of my childhood there, and going back every time is always like returning home. I don’t know when I’ll be visiting again, but I do hope it’s in the near future.

New job

As the title suggest, I have a new job, which I actually started today, woohoo! I had a warm, and welcoming first shift by both staff, as well as customers. As I always have done since starting my blog, I won’t be mentioning where my new job is. I don’t feel I NEED to say.

I left my old job the day before my graduation which was sad, but at the same time I was glad to be going somewhere new, with new challenges. I love a good challenge me! Due to how new this job is, I don’t really have much to say about it. I highly doubt that the hours I’ll be working will interfere with my blog writing, as they’re pretty similar to my previous jobs hours. Of course, if my posts do slack a little, I will explain why but I doubt this will happen… I’m a good blogger me! πŸ˜›

Anything else?…

So, has anything else happened the past couple of weeks? Erm… Not really! I’ve been doing a lot of Christmas shopping, and I have one more present (or two…) left to buy now! I read Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason on holiday (FINALLY after 2 years!) and I fell in love with Bridget again so much more, that as soon as I landed in the UK I ordered myself a copy of Mad About the Boy, which I’m really excited to read.

I also came back home to lots of presents I had ordered, as well as a new phone case for myself, which I should be reviewing soon enough on my blog. I have seen a few pieces of clothing that I would like to pick up for myself soon too, and as I have some vouchers to use up, I may as well pick some staples up for winter.

I am pretty damn excited for Christmas this year, even though I may not be able to spend time with my loved ones as much as I had originally hoped… We shall see what happens though! I can’t wait for my friends and family to see what I’ve bought them for Christmas, most especially my boyfriend as I have made sure to spoil him rotten this Christmas.

Not long after Christmas, New Year and my 26th birthday are looming… But it’s way too soon to talk about these, that is due to come over the next couple of weeks.

For now, this is just a quick update about what has been going on. I also want to thank my friends and boyfriend Dane for helping keep my blog afloat and busy whilst I was away on holiday. It was amazing of them to go out of their way to write posts for me, and I’m sure it won’t be the only time they’ll appear on my blog.

Now it’s late, and I have presents to wrap before I get an early night for work tomorrow.

Until next time take care all, and I hope everyone has a great weekend!
