Happy bank holiday weekend! I’m not going to say too much about it, but I just hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I’m going into a week off with Dane, which I am SO ready for now!
As I said on my monthly favourites, May really did fly by for me and I can’t believe we’re already four days into June! At the time of this post going live, I’ll have been to UK Games Expo yesterday and chilling with my best friend and her boyfriend today. Back in 2019 I did a blog post all about the UK Games Expo, those three years have flown by, honestly!
May was a strange month for me, with the latter of it being absolutely amazing due to My Chemical Romance and finally meeting Emily (Totally Emily) after knowing each other for six/seven years! The start of June is going to be equally as good and I’ve been really looking forward to it for as long as I can remember. Me and Dane haven’t had any time off together like this for a while now, since Christmas in fact so it’s long overdue. We have some stuff planned during it, including a trip to Manchester, as well as spending some much needed chill time together. It’s our nine year anniversary and as we weren’t able to do anything for it last year (we went to Wales in September), we wanted to make sure we did this year. Can you believe we’ll have been together ten years next year? Those years have flown by, it only feels like yesterday that I was meeting Dane for our first date in Birmingham. π
Alongside June being an exciting month of doing lots of fun things with Dane and friends, it’s also an expensive month for me. My car service is due, as well as the tax renewal so that’ll be a lot of money at the start of June for me, but with us going to Manchester, we might spend a lot of money there too!
Last time we went to Manchester in 2019, we did spent quite a bit of money. I don’t know if that’ll happen again, as we appear to be quite good with money since the start of 2022, but who knows! I’m not planning to spend a lot of money, but my mood is if I see something I like and I can’t get online easily, I’ll probably buy? We shall see! I remember in April we went into Birmingham town centre for Dane’s birthday and we bought nothing… Apart from food. xD
That being said overall, this months wish list was incredibly hard to do! Some of the items mentioned are ones I’ve already ordered as I honestly couldn’t think of anything else to add? I keep a list of stuff I’ve pre-ordered and I’ve not got a lot for a while now, which for me is weird? I think it’s mostly Kickstarter items I’m waiting on now. π
I’m hopeful content this month will be a mixture of our Manchester adventures and something kawaii! That aside, I really hope you enjoy this months wish list! π
Loungefly Disney Lady and the Tramp Hat Box Mini Backpack – (link)
This is an item I recently discovered through Double Boxed Toys and I was over the moon! It’s a Box Lunch exclusive Lady and the Tramp backpack, with Lady in her hat box! As regular readers of my blog and friends will know, Lady and the Tramp is my favourite Disney movie so whenever I see merchandise from Disney that I really like, I do end up buying it. This being said, if there is one Loungefly bag theme I don’t own, it’s Lady and the Tramp and the reason for this is due to Loungefly just not bringing out a design I like… Until now! I really love the look of the Lady hat box style and it’s a design I don’t really have currently? I’m definitely toying with getting it in the future, but as this month is an expensive one, I’m going to hold off until I can justify it and purchase through a US seller.
Anna Marine My Chemical Romance Inspired Prints – The Foundations of Decay and House of Wolves – (link) and (link)
Anna Marine’s MCR inspired prints have been on my radar for quite some time now, and one of the reasons I was put off ordering was due to the size being A4 or A3. Of course, as regular readers will know, I went to see MCR a couple of weeks ago and since then my younger MCR fan girl self has come out of the woodwork, so I’m accumulating some MCR merchandise, especially fan made pieces so I’m supporting smaller businesses. I’ve always wanted the Like Phantoms Forever print, but when Anna Marine opened up her store again last weekend, I opted for The Foundations of Decay and House of Wolves, as these are two prints I adore and really want! I’m so excited for these to arrive already, and I plan on putting them on my plushie cabinet so I can look at them when I settle down for bed, as well as when I’m getting ready in the morning for the day ahead. If I could have it my way, I’d buy all the prints inspired by The Black Parade and do a scatter wall somewhere in the house. Maybe I can do this in the future if we ever buy a bigger house and I can have an office of my own? π
LilPawie Genshin Impact Yae Miko Sakura Fox Stickers – (link) and (link)
First of all, I’ve never played Genshin Impact and I don’t really plan to anytime soon, as it’s not my type of game. This being said, I keep seeing the Yae Miko sakura fox character everywhere and it’s so adorable! So, when LilPawie brought out two sticker designs for the character, I knew I had to add them to my wish list! I love LilPawie’s designs anyway, so seeing them like this is a bonus. I may have to order some of the stickers sometime soon.
Finally we have a figure on my wish list this month. I’ve been seeing this chubby Cinnamoroll making the rounds online recently and I think it’s so adorable! I don’t know whether or not I’d buy it but it’s definitely something I’d get if it was at a good price. We recently sorted out our office and rearranged/decluttered a lot of stuff away so that we could have everything the way we wanted it, so it would be lovely to bring in a Pompompurin and/or Cinnamoroll figure eventually to add into the mix!
So, there we have it, my monthly wish list! I know it was a little scarce this month but honestly my brain is fried for what items I’ve bought/wanted to buy this month as a whole.
Even with visiting the UK Games Expo yesterday, we didn’t buy a whole lot really.
What items do you guys have on your wish lists for June? Make sure to let me know in the comments!
Until next time, take care all and I hope you have a great bank holiday weekend!
GUYS I have been so excited to write and bring this blog post to you today! I told you May’s content is going to be super cute and it’s being kick started with my new Loungefly backpack.
As regular readers will know, I’m a Loungefly fan, not as big as having a massive collection, but enough that I know my stuff about them and more. I’ve been a fan of Loungefly bags since 2007 when I bought myself one of the Loungefly x Skelanimals shoulder bags. Unfortunately after a few uses at college, it broke and I took it back to the shop I bought it from for a full refund. I wish I’d gotten a replacement instead. I adored that bag, I was an emo back in my college/early university days and that bag was me all over!
Fast forward a couple of years to about 2009 and I received my first official Loungefly bag for my Christmas/birthday present. It was the same shoulder bag style but this time with Bambi, Thumper and Flower on it. I still have it somewhere at my mom’s house. I loved that bag and used it for university all the time, as well as for my laptop to carry it to and from places.
Fast forward to over ten years later and I now own fourteen pieces! Now, I don’t want to call myself a collector, but a lot of people will hear how many Loungefly items I own and probably want to call me that. I don’t usually refer myself as a collector with Loungefly as I’ve seen collectors and I’m not like they are, in regards to the amount etc. I often use all of the bags I obtain and don’t have them for display. I use them, because that’s what they’re for! π Not to have a dig at collectors, I get it as a Pokemon and Nendoroid collector. Just, collecting Loungefly isn’t my bag… Get it… π
Anyway, that aside, I’m really excited to show you guys my new addition, the Cinnamoroll backpack!
The Cinnamoroll backpack was announced around the end of summer last year ready for release at the start of autumn in September. I remember pining after the backpack for the longest time but just couldn’t bring myself to buy it due to saving money. Plus, I have a nice collection of Loungefly bags I’m currently happy with and didn’t 100% feel the need to add a new one into the mix. Around December I did find someone selling one second hand (barely used from memory) on Vinted for a steal! For months after it sold, I regretted not picking it up.
Just before Easter I decided I wanted to get the Cinnamoroll backpack. I’d seen so many people picking it up and showing it off, that it just caused some major FOMO in me! This being said, I couldn’t find it at a good price anywhere! If there’s one thing I really don’t like about Loungefly these days it’s the prices for the quality. The quality has gone down significantly since Covid, but the prices have really gone up! I mean, would you pay Β£80 for a backpack? No.
Just before Easter I found my Cinnamoroll backpack on Pop Figures, where I also had a discount code for 15% off, so I gave it a go and with the discount the bag came to Β£54.99! I ordered it, not thinking I’d snag it any cheaper.
Good Friday, I found out the website I bought the backpack from had a 20% discount, so instead of the Β£54.99, it was now down to Β£45.99! Dane didn’t realise I’d picked up the backpack the day prior, but he decided to order the bag at the cheaper price for me, as he knew how much I wanted it! I was out with my dad shopping at the time for Easter and had been messaged on Instagram by a lot of people to inform me of the cheaper price! I emailed the store to cancel my order and let Dane know that I’d had to cancel my order from the previous day.
Just to add here, this wasn’t a gift from Dane, I gave him the money for it in the end. π
The following days after Easter bank holiday my new backpacks arrived! No, that wasn’t a typo, I wrote backpacks on purpose. Unfortunately the store hadn’t cancelled my order quickly enough and due to that the order was processed regardless and sent out to me. This being said I sent it back with my postman and was left to enjoy my new backpack!
First things first, it’s bloody cute, too cute in fact. The first thing I thought when I took it out of the packaging was, “This looks too nice to wear… Have I done the wrong thing?” About three weeks have passed now since I bought this bag and nope, I did not do the wrong thing.
I’m so happy to finally own this backpack and since it arriving, I’ve used it everyday I’ve been out and about, especially at work and there’s zero sign of wear on it, which is always good.
To comment on a few things with this backpack, as you can see it has Cinnamoroll’s adorable little face, with blue eyes, pink cheeks and black :3 smile! Alongside that we also have Cinnamoroll’s plush and soft ears, paws, and even his curly cinnamon roll tail at the back! When I first saw this bag I did wonder if the tail at the back of the bag would rub on my back and more, but alas I haven’t faced any issues which is good.
Alongside the obvious Cinnamoroll character features on the bag, we also have light blue straps, which is a the colour associated with Cinnamoroll, alongside the white. The metal detailing on the bag is all gold, with the front pocket of the bag sporting both the Loungefly emblem, as well as a zip being a rainbow with a little bird on it. Such a cute little addition to the front of the bag!
There are some little pockets on the side of the bag, a feature on most Loungefly backpacks! I used to use the side pockets often to house lip balm and such, but not so much anymore to be honest. Finally the lining inside the bag is gorgeous! It’s a similar light blue to the straps on the bag, with the Cinnamoroll logo, as well as little pictures of Cinnamoroll himself floating through the sky. It’s so adorable and makes me smile to see when going into my bag for things.
One complaint I have about the bag is that it doesn’t seem to be symmetrical? This is a complaint I’m seeing a lot lately on Loungefly groups, so I’m glad it isn’t just me! I feel like one side of the bag where the ears and paws are doesn’t match the other? This being said it doesn’t bother me too much, but if I’d paid full price for this, it definitely would have! Another thing to note, when I first took it out of the bag when it arrived, I noticed the bag itself isn’t white and is actually a cream or off white colour? I only noticed this due to the ears being white. I’ve gotten used to the colour the longer I’ve owned it, but it made me worry something was wrong with the backpack upon arrival.
Overall the backpack itself is really good, standard Loungefly backpack really to be honest with you! The space inside it is standard, not to small but not too big, which is how I like my backpacks. There’s also a little side pocket within the backpack, which I don’t often use, but handy nonetheless. I’ve found the front pouch is a little tight so I can’t fit too much in there, but that isn’t a bad thing. I never like to overfill my backpacks… Let me put it this way, I’d be Mary Poppins if I could!
Do I think this backpack is worth the RRP of Β£75? No, but this is for any Loungefly backpack these days. However the Β£45 I paid I feel it was definitely worth it. I say this as I don’t feel any bag is really worth Β£75 unless it’s a really special one for sports (e.g. snowboarding) or or a designer handbag maybe?
That being said, I really love my new Loungefly backpack and if anything it’s really cheered me up when wearing it out and about. It’s adorable, a conversation starter and Cinnamoroll!
There is a matching purse/wallet for this backpack, but as I already own a Sanrio wallet I love already, I didn’t feel the need to pick up the Cinnamoroll one. If I ever saw it new or barley used at a steal, I’d probably pick it up… Because why not?
What do you think of my new Loungefly backpack? Do you love Cinnamoroll too? If not, who is your favourite Sanrio character? Make sure to let me know in the comments!
Until next time guys, take care and have an amazing weekend!
Sorry, not sorry. π But yes, it’s going to be May tomorrow and I can’t quite believe we are a month away from being halfway through 2022.
Not going to lie, I’m a mixture of excited and nervous for May for a few reasons. It’s going to be nice to have another long bank holiday weekend this weekend, but in a couple of weeks I’ll be going to see My Chemical Romance! Regular readers and friends will know I have been waiting for two years to see them now due to Covid, so I’m glad the time is finally coming up! I printed off my tickets recently so I’m almost ready to go. I’m so excited, but sort of nervous too for many reasons. I haven’t been to a gig since 2017 when I saw cKy, which was a longgg time ago now! I’m also feeling anxious about Covid too. It would suck for both me and Dane to leave the gig with Covid… That being said, it’ll be worth it at this point as I’ve been waiting long enough to go and see MCR! I’m going to try and save up some monies towards merchandise, as I can see me buying a lot of it… Especially t-shirts and hoodies. π
Alongside going to see MCR, I’m also planning to go and visit Emily (link to blog) whilst we’re in Milton Keynes! We did try and meet up before/during the cKy gig but it didn’t happen sadly. I’m so excited to meet her! We’ve been blogging friends for as long as I can remember now (over six years I feel!) so it’ll be lovely to see her, and her furry companions too. Go and check her blog out by the way, I have linked it for you all. π
Alongside that, I don’t know what other plans me and Dane have for May, maybe plan something in for our anniversary in June, as well as planning/seeing friends too? We shall see!
One final thing I want to mention is how excited I am for this months content! I have some cute posts coming up in the next couple of weeks and I cannot wait to share them all with you. I know April was a bit of a quieter month but I was so busy over Easter, I didn’t really get much time for myself, let alone sitting down to write.
For now however, lets get on with this months favourites!
Favourite Beauty Product – Peripera – Ink Mood Drop Tint – Bubble Berry and Berry Vibe.
With my March pay I decided to treat myself to some new lip products from YesStyle. I really love wearing lipstick, but as the years have passed, I’ve worn it less and less. I used to live for my MAC satin lipsticks, then liquid lipsticks and now I’m more about my lip stains/tints and glosses. I’ve always found Korean brands lip tints are the best all rounder for lip products, they hydrate, leave gorgeous colour and are affordable. I’ve tried Peripera in the past and really do rate their products highly, so I decided to order myself a couple of lip tints from their ink mood drop range. Bubble Berry and Berry Vibe are both pink lip tints, one being darker than the other. Bubble Berry is described as, “cool berry pink” and Berry Vibe is described as, “bright berry plum”. Alongside the colours being gorgeous and wearable for any occasion, the product itself isn’t sticky, easy to apply and lasts for hours! It’s perfect and I’m so glad to finally have some pink lip tints in my collection.
Favourite Film – Jackass Forever.
As a massive Jackass fan, I have a lot to say about the latest movie. First of all, I have been a fan since I was ten years old in 2000. I adore all the TV show and the movies and if anything they got me through my dissertation for my BA studies at university, as well as some darker times. I’m also a fan of the cKy movies and Viva La Bam. With this being said, Ryan Dunn and Bam Margera not being part of the fourth movie broke my heart a little and I knew from the start that it wouldn’t feel like Jackass to me when I watched it. I finally saw the fourth instalment in April and I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it. There were stunts that had clearly been done before by others and in my opinion, there were clearly stunts that had been written by Bam (I don’t know if anyone else thought this too?). The new cast were great, I have to say, they appeared to be up for anything (and judging by some of their tattoos, had been Jackass fans from a young age like me) and I feel like stunts they did now, were stunts that the Jackass crew back in the day wouldn’t have done. If you don’t know, this is Johnny Knoxville’s last Jackass film… Or so he says, so for his final film I just felt like it was lacking so much and that in itself made me sad. I’m intrigued to see if they do another TV show for the new cast, or another film. I feel like the films should have been left at three, after watching this one. Again, as I said, I didn’t love or hate it, but sadly I think Jackass should be done now, or at least just leave the new cast to do their own thing and retire the old? I don’t know. Let me know what you think! Please excuse the word vomit here by the way, I have so many thoughts about it haha.
Favourite TV Show/Anime – SPY x FAMILY.
With new season anime, comes a new anime show to share with you all! SPY x FAMILY is new for this season and is one me and Dane have been watching for the past couple of weeks since it began. I know this was a manga first of all and one quite a few people I know read and love. I wasn’t massively fussed about watching the anime when it was announced, but seeing as Dane put it on, I thought, “Why not!” and now I really enjoy it! As the name suggests, it’s about a spy family, but with a twist. I don’t want to say too much in case of spoilers, but Twilight, a spy, has to create a family in order to complete one of his missions. The girl he adopts has telepathy and the woman he marries is an assassin. Due to her telepathy the girl knows what her adoptive parents true lives are, but the parents don’t know each others. So far it’s a mixture of funny and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I adore all of the characters so far and Anya (the girl) reminds me of a diclonius from Elfen Lied due to her pink hair and the strange black hair bun covers she wears (which remind of the diclonius horns). I definitely recommend you checking it out and personally, I much prefer the sub to dub, it just works better.
Favourite Music – Saliva – Back Into Your System.
Over the Easter bank holiday me and Dane decided to deep clean our kitchen. It had been long overdue and with family coming over for Dane’s birthday and Easter, we decided to finally do it. During our time cleaning, we decided to put on nu metal from the early noughties, which is a genre of rock music that we both love. At one point Saliva came on and it reminded me of their third album Back Into Your System that I LOVED back in the day and listened to religiously. I remember exactly how I discovered it, through looking for clips fromΒ Elfen Lied the song “Weight Of The World” plays against the top of it, which I fell in love instantly. It’s still one of my favourite songs and I’ve honestly missed listening to this album.
This is a game Dane bought for me a while ago so we could play together. Before and during Easter we played it quite a bit, as it’s a really nice, relaxing game to sit and play after a busy day of work. We’ve recently stopped playing it as much as we’ve found it’s getting a little repetitive, but I’m pretty sure we’ll pick it up again some day. The premise of the game is you need to survive and built your raft up. You do occasionally float by islands, which you can stop at to gather more resources, you pretty much live on your raft though. We didn’t realise at first, but there is a story to this game! Our understanding of this is that you play as siblings who need to find their family through radio messages and more. I don’t think we’ve done a lot with the story yet, the idea of the surviving is fun to us! I highly recommend this, but more so if you can play with friends, as it’s just a bunch easier!
Just a few of my favourite thingsβ¦
Loungefly Cinnamoroll backpack.
To give you all a sneak peak of one of the posts coming up in May on my blog, I wanted to briefly share my latest Loungefly addition, and boy, do I love it! Easter I decided to finally pick up the Cinnamoroll Loungefly backpack, after debating it for months. I’ve been using it since it arrived last weekend and I really love it. It’s comfortable to wear, cute and fits everything quite nicely. It does kind of feel on the small side, but that’s probably because I carry around too much stuff. I think my only worry with this bag is the obvious one, it’s white, so I worry it’ll be stained and dirty easily. That being said, life is too short for regret. I wanted this bag for a while and now I finally have it, I’m going to use it! I snagged it for a bargain of Β£45 from Pop Figures. They’re Midlands based so this arrived in a couple of days after ordering. I’ll be talking about this bag on a blog post in the next couple of weeks!
Mini Egg nails.
As we all know, Easter was a couple of weeks ago and just before it I was due a new set of gel nails. I decided to go for Mini Egg inspired nails, as not only are they my favourite chocolate, but since 2019 (when I started getting gel manicures) I’ve always wanted to do these nails. So, FINALLY I’ve been able to do it! They’re getting redone this weekend and I’m feeling an emo theme, ready for when I go to see My Chemical Romance. I’m actually really sad to see these go, but I can always get them done again soon. π
Animal Crossing Timmy & Tommy amiibo.
On Dane’s birthday we decided to go out and do some geeky shopping and I FINALLY snagged the Timmy & Tommy amiibo figure I was after! This wasn’t cheap at Β£18, but a lot of places sell it for Β£20 and up, so I can’t complain too much. Plus Dane bought it for me as he knew how much I’ve wanted it. It’s such a cute figure and in amazing condition. I gave it a good clean when I came home and it’s now in place with all the other Animal Crossing amiibo figures. Now I only have Kicks left to get and potentially Smash Bros Isabelle. The shop I picked it up from is an independent vintage game shop in Birmingham called Vintage Gamer. If you’re in Birmingham like me, or fancy a day trip, I HIGHLY recommend! There’s so many vintage games and consoles, you could spend hours there. Plus the staff are really lovely to chat to, which is always good.
Pokemon Vulpix Flocked POP! vinyl.
This is a new addition to my very small POP! vinyl collection, but one I just couldn’t resist when I saw people talking about it on Instagram. I do love some of the Pokemon POP! vinyl figures as they look adorable, and Vulpix is always one I’ve had on my list to get as and when, so when I saw Smyths had the flocked version, I pre ordered and collected it later that day! It’s still sat in the box, as I’m unsure if I ever want to worry the flocking on it gets dusty/dirty and ruined! It’s such a cute little figure and I’m so glad I picked it up now. π
Lazy Oaf Rainbow Sally t-shirt dress.
Finally I want to share with you one of my recent finds on Vinted! The image isn’t mine, but it is from the listing I bought the dress off of, so it’s fine. π I haven’t yet taken a photo of the dress, nor worn it as I’ve been so busy, but I’m sure I’ll wear soon and post all about it! Anyway, this Lazy Oaf rainbow sally dress has been on my Lazy Oaf grail list for as long as I can remember. Every time I’ve found this dress for sale on second hand websites it would go for silly prices well over Β£60, and I just don’t have time for spending money that much on pre loved items, no matter what brand. So, when I saw this pop up on Vinted in my size for Β£25, I knew I had to snap it up! A couple of days later it arrived, was washed and is now waiting in my wardrobe to be worn! I’m so excited to wear it, it’s so comfy to wear and with some tights, and maybe my heart buckle belt, I’ll look adorable and ready for the summer!!!
So, there we have it guys, my favourites from April! I honestly can’t believe we’re already into May tomorrow, this month has flown and it’s been quiet nice to say the least, which I’m thankful for.
As we’re in another bank holiday weekend this weekend, what are you plans for it? Plus, what items are in your favourites list this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments.
Until next time, take care and have a lovely weekend.
Can you believe it’s almost the end of January already?! 2022 is already flying by and I don’t like it. π I know I always say this every month, but I know I’m not the only one!
January for me was crap to say the least as both me and Dane were really sick for the first week of it with chest infections (thankfully not Covid!) and without going into too much detail, my mental health has been really bad. I’m hoping it’ll improve moving forward…
I think another thing that sucked was due to us being sick on my birthday, I didn’t exactly have the best day. Memorable, yes, but crap. π I know we’ll be making up for that at some point soon, which I’m really excited about. What though, I don’t know.
That being said January wasn’t all bad! Money wise I did pretty good considering how long people wait for payday in office jobs (six whole weeks!). I came into 2022 with the attitude of, “Spend less and sell more!” after doing really well with selling old stuff I no longer want on Vinted. If you’re interested in what I’m selling please ask for my store link, I won’t post it publicly on my blog. I’m finally going to clear out a lot of my old clothes from my old room, which is WELL overdue seeing as I moved out almost six years ago. xD
I’m hoping for February to be a better month, mainly health wise but also money wise too. Me and Dane have set a lot of home improvement goals for 2022 and I hope to get started on a lot of them this month, including a LOT of spring cleaning!
I don’t know why but I’m incredibly excited for spring this year. Maybe because of nicer weather and baby animals? π
Are you looking forward to anything in February? Make sure to let me know.
Anyhoo, on with the monthly favourites!!!
Favourite Beauty Product – Happy Place Cosmetics Bougie Body Scrub.
If there is one product I cannot live without in my bath/shower it’s the Happy Place Cosmetics body scrubs. They are the best I have ever used and smell amazing to boot! Black Friday they brought out some amazing deals, including body scrubs being on offer, so I bought a bunch of them to keep me going for a while, including Bougie. Bougie is a dupe of Lush Yog Nog, which is one of my favourite scents, from both brands! The HPC body scrubs foam up when you add a little bit of water, so not only do you feel nice and scrubbed after use, but clean too! I especially love to give my whole body a good scrub once to twice a week, depending. Mostly however I love using my body scrub on my legs before shaving. My legs were getting really dry at one point and even with a good moisture, they just seemed dry and itchy. Since using the scrub on them before shaving that dry and itchy feeling has gone and I’m so relieved. I need to do a review of HPC in the future, as not only do they create amazing things for your bath and shower, but for your home too with the wax tarts!
Favourite Film – Ron’s Gone Wrong.
Unfortunately I don’t have any “massive” films to shout about watching. Me and Dane are too anxious to go to the cinema so we’ve not been able to watch anything new lately. However, over Christmas we did binge watch a lot of films on Disney+ and Ron’s Gone Wrong was one of them. I’d been itching to watch this film for a while as not only had I seen it spoken about online, but I’d watched the trailer with Dane and found it adorable, which is exactly what it was. Ron’s Gone Wrong is about a new robot (B-bot) that children are using to find friends they’ll have in common and more. It’s basically a phone but disguised as a toy robot for kids. Barney is the only kid in school without a B-bot and it shows how much it affects him and even when Barney does get one, there’s something wrong with it. I won’t talk too much about the plot in case of spoilers, but I highly recommend checking it out, it’s got a really good message to it for younger and even older people about how much technology can affect us forget about what’s actually around us. I had a little cry at the end too. :’)
Favourite TV Show/Anime – Attack on Titan Final Season.
I’ve really been itching to talk about this this month and before I do, do not worry! There won’t be any spoilers shared here. A massive one came up on the latest episode (23/01) and DAMN I’m so glad we watched it. I’d have hated to see spoilers the next day. Anyhoo… Attack on Titan means a lot to me for various reasons and due to that I’m really sad to see it coming to an end to be honest. It’s one of the first (if not the first) anime me and Dane really got into together. We discovered Attack on Titan back in June 2014 when we went to Bristol for our first anniversary. Dane had heard loads about it and decided to buy some of the manga volumes in Forbidden Planet, as well as find the first episode online for us to watch. Dane fell in love with it, as did I and before we knew it, he’d bought all the manga there was on offer at the time and we found the first season to watch online too. I still remember getting to the last episode of season one and saying to Dane, “Next episode!” with him replying, “That’s it, we need to wit for the next season now.” This was almost ten years ago… How crazy is that? It’s amazing and sad at the same time that we’re now on the final season! It’s kind of the end of an era for a lot of people, including me and Dane. So far though, the final season is amazing! I’m still leaving each episode screaming at the screen saying, “WHAT? What’s happening?”. xD
Favourite Music – PVRIS Shuffle and Bring Me The Horizon – Kingslayer (feat. BABYMETAL).
I don’t know why (well I do, because I love them) but lately I’ve been listening to PVRIS so much. I think it’s because when I’ve been in the office for work, or been working on my own stuff at home, I’ve found that they’re my go to choice when I just need to concentrate and get on with things. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before on my blog, but PVRIS are actually doing a tour in the UK in May which I REALLY want to go to, but I don’t know if I can justify it with Covid and such? Purely because I’m seeing My Chemical Romance a week or two after and I’d be gutted if I came out of the PVRIS gig with Covid and couldn’t then see MCR… So yeah. That sucks at the moment! I’m still not writing it out because you never know, but yeah…
I also wanted to share with you a song I discovered around Christmas/New Year that Dane showed me. It’s by Bring Me The Horizon but features BABYMETAL, it’s amazing and I fucking love it! It’s really catchy, can be danced to as well as sang along to as well as it has a mixture of screaming and singing. I’m not a massive Bring Me The Horizon fan (not so much the music…) but I do love BABYMETAL. It’s just a perfect song to me and you should give it a listen.
Guys I actually did some reading in January! Can you believe it? π I LOVE The Sad Ghost Club and as soon as I heard that the second book was coming out, I knew I had to get it. I pre-ordered as soon as it could be and it arrived on my birthday. As I mentioned at the start of the post, both me and Dane were really sick at the start of January, which sucked. This also meant I didn’t get to do anything for my birthday, apart from cuddle up on the sofa and cuddle with Dane. This being said, I did also read The Sad Ghost Club Volume 2 and I really loved it. I won’t say too much so it doesn’t ruin it for other people, but it really did touch upon people’s anxieties even more, which I loved. I could relate to Socks and it really tore on my heart strings. If you love The Sad Ghost Club on Instagram or any other social media, then you need to pick up the books to read. They’re so wholesome and make me smile when I feel down. I can’t wait for the next instalment!
I was actually going to mention Pokemon: Legend Arceus today BUT it only came out yesterday so seems a bit premature to mention it so quickly. I’ve found myself picking up Shining Pearl quite a bit over January. Mainly because I REALLY wanted to try and get the main bulk of the story completed before Legend Arceus came out. I did in fact do this, but now I’ve opened the national dex and need to bloody complete that! π This being said, Shining Pearl has been so nice and relaxing to play, especially when I wasn’t feeling very well and had the energy to do something more than binge watch Netflix and TV shows on Channel 4. I forgot how long the gen four games are, but I’m not complaining as it’s much better when you compare to Sword and Shield. I did mention it in November when the gen four remakes came out, BUT I did in fact buy Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond, as I expected Dane to play with me. As he isn’t doing such a thing and I’d like to 100% complete Shining Pearl, I will eventually play Brilliant Diamond on his switch so I can swap exclusives and such. Is that sad? Yeah, but whatever. π
Another thing I wanted to mention here that’s game related is, I’ve decided to create a games completion thread over on my Twitter, which you can find here! My friend Connor did this in 2021 and he really inspired me to do it myself. At the moment I only really have one game on there, but I’m sure that list will grow! I really want to work my way through some of my games this year. I’m sick of buying new when I have half completed ones gathering dust.
Just a few of my favourite thingsβ¦
Pingki Buddy plush.
I don’t want to talk tooooo much about this plush as in April I’ll be talking in depth about all of the penguin friends that Pingki has created. However, I couldn’t not talk about my Buddy plush today as it’s so bloody cute! If you haven’t already recognised Buddy, he’s heavily inspired by a certain jock penguin from Animal Crossing… π I pre-ordered this cutie from Pingki back in September 2021 and eagerly waited almost four months for him to arrive! It’s such an adorable plush, a nice size for cuddling and especially perfect for taking lots of photos of, as you can see above. π Just an FYI, Buddy is currently sold out and I’m unsure when he’ll be back up for pre-order since the April pre-orders are all booked up!
In the December pre-orders I also pre-ordered the rest of the penguin gang and I’m already counting down the months until April when they’re due to start being shipped to their new homes! We have Baby, Bestie, Slushie and Brainfreeze. I wasn’t planning on getting them all due to lack of space, but I’ve decided to keep them on the back of our sofa as they’ll look really cute and like they’re watching TV with us… Which any Animal Crossing fan wants, right?
Loungefly Sanrio kawaii wallet.
At the start of January I snagged one of my Loungefly grails and for a fucking bargain too! If you don’t know what I mean when I say a grail, it means an item that you’re after that’s hard to find and rare, expensive or both. I feel like this wallet came out between 2020 and 2021, but don’t quote me on that. I just remember it coming out and really wanting the wallet, as well as the matching backpack too (which is also on my grail list!). I found this wallet on Vinted for a steal and decided to treat myself to it straight away. A couple of days later it arrived and I adore it! It was brand new with tags and under Β£25. I feel like the person who sold it to me knew the value and didn’t want to be a twat about selling it for a stupidly high price? I do have one flaw with this wallet though and that’s it made me feel a little anxious about keeping my bank card and ID in the usual places, so they’re elsewhere. I thought I’d mention this as I know this wallet style is a popular one that Loungefly make, so if you’re looking to buy this style of wallet from them, please bear this in mind! In the future I’m semi hoping to snag the backpack for a bargain too! π
Baking – Salted caramel and salted caramel shortbread.
As me and Dane had some stuff to use up in the house, as well as friends to see I decided to not only make salted caramel, but also to make salted caramel shortbread too! Both were a success and it’s made me realise just how much I do love baking! I mean, I know I love baking but you know what I mean. π
I’ve made the caramel shortbread before and don’t recall it being a bit hit with everyone, but this time when I made it, Dane and our friends loved it! It made me so happy to hear everyone’s praise and it’s just made me want to bake more and more! Maybe 2022 will be the year I do lots of baking? Watch this space. I absolutely adore baking, it’s a big passion of mine but at the same time I hate it because then I have to find people to eat it all, or me and Dane scoff all the yummy goods. π
I’m going to pop the videos about of the recipes I used as they’re really simple, easy to follow and highly recommended!
Fluffy cardigan.
One of my birthday presents from my mom this year was a fluffy cardigan and I fucking love it. So much so I wore it everyday for a week before washing… Grim yes but true. For Christmas my mom bought me and Dane loads of winter warmers such as a fluffy hot water bottle, teddy bear bedding and a gorgeous cream fluffy throw. Her gifts have really been appreciated to say the least, especially when we were poorly. Due to all these warm goodies and the gas prices going up, I suggested to Dane that we make the most of her gifts and turn the heating off in the day, which he agreed. Since then those winter warmers have been getting some use!
My mom had seen this fluffy cardigan on QVC and decided to order us both one and she gave it to me a couple of weeks ago. It’s so soft and fluffy, baggy, has a MASSIVE hood and is just perfect to throw on when you’re feeling chilly or want something comforting. I’ve practically lived in it! Dane jokily wore it the once whilst I was cooking dinner so I snapped a photo on my phone and sent it to my mom. To my surprise she ordered another one, so me and Dane could have one each! That’s my mom all over, bless her.
I am rather excited for us to get another so I can rotate wear them and always have one to live in when it’s chilly!
Finally I’m going to talk a bit more about what a shit start to the year I had, and Dane for that matter! Right at the end of 2021 me and Dane started to feel under the weather and we put it down to being a cold, but that soon turned out to be a chest infection, which was evidently worse for me than it was for Dane. I came into 2022 with conjunctivitis in both eyes, a horrible cough and sore throat and no to mention no fucking sleep due to the previous two illnesses. It was vile and no matter what me and Dane did to try and shift it, nothing would. It seemed at one point like it was getting worse! Most of our days in the first week of January were spent on our sofa binge watching anything and everything we could on Netflix and All 4.
Of course I can hear you asking, “It wasn’t Covid then?” Nope, thankfully, but trying to find out if it was or not was a fucking pain in the arse! We’d both booked PCR tests on the Monday to find out if we had it, only for them to arrive on the Thursday. Post was very delayed due to the weird bank holidays we’d had at the start of the year, as well as both the Royal Mail and NHS struggling due to rising Covid rates. We’d tried to book to go to a test centre but had no luck, however, one sleepless night we were awake around 3am and managed to book drive thru tests in on the Wednesday. Thursday morning, we found out we were Covid free, as well as see our PCR tests arrive. They’ve been kept somewhere safe for potential future use.
Alongside all that with us being sick, not only did I not get to do fuck all for my own birthday, but I didn’t get to do anything for mom’s either and it really broke my heart. We didn’t get to do anything last year due to Covid and this year I was sick. My mom’s birthday is the day after mine so we do always try and go for a meal, whether it be her day or mine. We’ll go and do something in February no doubt, but it just felt really shit this year and it’s definitely not put me in the best of moods this month due to that.
During me being sick I lost my voice, which was incredibly uncomfortable and annoying. My voice still breaks every now and then and I’m worried whatever was wrong with me is still present in my system. I’m definitely hopeful that February will not contain any sicknesses of any kind. π
So, there we have it guys my January favourites! I really missed not writing this style of post since December when I wrote about my November favourites, but it’s definitely good to be back!
What were some of your favourites from January? Make sure to let me know in the comments.
Until next time guys, take care and have a lovely and safe weekend!
I cannot believe it’s September now, my favourite month of the year. September is a month I’m really excited for, but also very anxious and a little sad about too.
August is a month I couldn’t wait to see the back of as it wasn’t exactly great, especially for my mental health, but at the same time I had a really lovey time running up to the end of it. Me and my best friend went out for one of the days over bank holiday and it was so lovely. I’ll be talking about it more later on in the favourites.
September though… It’s always been my favourite month of the year due to feeling of a fresh start (due to education), as well as my favourite season of autumn starting. However, since last year September also carries some sadness I don’t want to discuss on my blog, as well as some big anxieties in the weeks leading up.
This all being said, me and Dane will be off holiday from work together and we’re planning to just chill out together and have lots of cuddles and chilled days. I honestly cannot wait for some time off of work to just do nothing and relax.
I’m sorry to start off this months favourites with a bit of a miserable topic, but I just wanted to be honest here. I’m incredibly worn out, even after bank holiday. xD
Not going to lie, this is actually an old product from many years ago that I only recently opened. I’d bought it as part of a gift set I bought back in 2016 and decided to finally crack open the body butter to use as a hand and foot butter. On my hands this just did not agree with my dermatitis due to the scent and ingredients, however, used as a foot butter it’s been a dream to use. I put a very generous amount on before socks in the morning which results in my feet looking and feeling lovely and smooth by the end of the day. It also has a gorgeous creamy peppermint scent too, which I adore. I’ll be honest, I don’t know if you’re supposed to use products past their sell by date… I think with beauty products it’s from when they’re opened you have the use by date. Of course, if you aren’t sure it might always be best to throw the product away.
Favourite Film –Β Us.
This is a film I’ve been wanting to watch since it came out in 2019, but we just never managed to. We planned to go to the cinema to watch it but never did and I’m really glad we didn’t. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed the film but without saying too much, I guessed the twist of the film around thirty minutes in, which was a little disappointing. That being said, the overall plot of the film is really good and you’re definitely on the edge of your seat wondering what’s going to happen next.
Favourite TV Show – Centaurworld.
This is a new Netflix series that came out to the UK at the end of July. Dane thought it looked batshit crazy so he decided to pop it on for us to watch. We LOVED it and binge watched it in a few days. We follow Horse as she finds herself transported to Centaurworld during a battle with her owner. Horse discovers a group of centaur friends, who soon help Horse to try and find her way home. There’s singing involved too, as this is a musical show. It reminds me ofΒ Adventure TimeΒ crossed with Disney films. Give it a watch if you haven’t done so already!
Favourite Music – Unprocessed – “Candyland”
Unprocessed are a progressive metal band that Dane introduced me to recently with “Deadrose”. As I really love this song, Dane played me one of their newer songs to see what I thought of it. “Candyland” has fast turned into one of my favourite songs to listen to lately. Their music style seems to have changed a little when you hear “Deadrose” before or after “Candyland”. I really love them and I’m going to be checking out more of their stuff in September!
Yes guys, I read a book this month! Don’t act too shocked, please. π I boughtΒ The Sad Ghost ClubΒ back in January this year and I thought I’d read it, instead I placed it in our office and… Never touched it. As I found out a second book is due to come out in January 2022 (I’ve already pre ordered it too…) I decided it was time to finally dig the book out and give it a read! It’s actually a comic more so than a book, where we follow Sad Ghost and their struggles with their mental health, including social anxiety, worries about education and even going to a party. The comic itself is really sad at times, but at the same time makes you feel less alone. My mental health hasn’t been very good the past couple of months and readingΒ The Sad Ghost ClubΒ really did help me feel less lonely.
Recently Dane has really gotten back intoΒ State of Decay 2Β again and as some of friends have also wanted to play it, I thought I’d jump on and play it too. State of Decay 2Β is a zombie game where you need to build up your base, all whilst gathering resources, getting people to come and join your base, as well as killing zombies. It’s a really simple game to play and really nice and chilled to play with friends! I highly recommend it, I really do love it and the zombies don’t come across as too scary either, which is always good! π
Just a few of my favourite thingsβ¦
Loungefly bags, old and new!
I didn’t quite realise I received two new Loungefly bags in August, as well as decided to finally cut the tags off of one I bought at the start of 2021! The Pikachu wallet chain bag and the Baymax backpack are my new bags, whilst Meeko is one I bought via a Facebook group (and now one of my Instagram friends!) in January.
I was after a new shoulder bag so decided to pick up the Pikachu bag, however the images that Loungefly have out there are so fucking misleading and make the bag look bigger than it actually is. This being said, it’s the perfect bag for quickly going out to run errands as well as nights out. I’ve used it quite a few times throughout August and it’s a really good bag for if you don’t need to carry much, but still do need a bag.
Alongside that I also decided to purchase the Baymax backpack very last minute. The day the Baymax cosplay backpack and wallet went on sale on the Funko Europe website, I just fell in love with it and had to buy it. I didn’t need it, but I have ZERO REGRETS. I used it over the bank holiday and it’s such an adorable bag! I felt so cute using it around town during mine and my best friends mini bar/pub crawl and I honestly cannot wait to start using it more. I regret not getting the matching wallet for it, so I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled on trying to get it at a decent price in the future.
Finally my Meeko backpack. This is a bag I was after for MONTHS before I finally snagged it via a Loungefly Facebook group. I also got the matching purse, but this is something I’m yet to use. Little story behind how I “missed out” on this bag. I was told by a Forbidden Planet store when the bag was due to come out that they would take my details and pop a bag to one side for me. They didn’t want any money for the bag to be put down as a pre order just in case they never got the bag in stock. This being said, they assured me they WERE going to get the bag in stock. Alas they never and they didn’t even bother to reach out to me to let me know. It was kind of obvious I wouldn’t be getting it and I was gutted. This being said, I have it now and I do really love it! I used it for the first time whilst out for my best friends 30th birthday and it is so comfortable and cute! It feels soft and isn’t a sturdy bag due to this, but this being said, I really love this aspect of the backpack.
I’m hoping to write a post all about my Loungefly collection in the future. If this is something you’re interested in, please let me know! I’d also love to do a YouTube video showing off my collection too, but I’m so anxious about doing YouTube… :’)
Some of my favourite gel nails.
As many of my readers will know, I do love getting my nails done and it’s actually been a really positive change in my life in regards to my anxiety. Before I started getting my nails done I would cute them so short they would bleed. They’re not incredibly healthy, grow quickly, don’t break and it’s stopped me from cutting them short, as well as chewing them when nervous.
My reason for especially posting my nails this month as this set has been one of my favourites to date. The colour shares its name with my gran and is such a beautiful colour to boot. I’m actually getting my gels redone tomorrow and I’m a little sad as I honestly love this set. They’ve lasted so well and they just make me happy to look at. I don’t have a bloody clue what new set I’m going to get yet. xD
Dog sitting again.
Me and Dane dog sat Eddie again for a couple of days and we loved it. If you read my favourites from July, you will have seen that me and Dane had Eddie at ours for a week and we loved every moment of it! We didn’t have him for as long but it was nice to have him around for cuddles, fuss, playtime and walks were lovely to do with him too. I wanted to share this adorable photo of him that I took during my lunch break. He was having a lovely snooze and I felt so guilty when I had to return back to my desk and wake him up.
First of all I want to say how fucking proud I am of Claire, she has come so far in such a short period of time with her art and it’s just growing more and more as the years go by. Over the bank holiday (Saturday) Claire posted on her Instagram page how she was doing something exciting in the Cass Art in Birmingham city centre. I kept my eye on her Instagram stories and she revealed she was actually drawing one of her Bernard’s on the window of Cass Art! I watched the process of it throughout the morning and as me and my best friend would be in town that day, we made sure to take a diversion over to Cass Art to go and take a look, as well as take some photos!
I wanted to show this off and share with you guys, as well as say if you’re in Birmingham and see Claire’s Bernard in the window of Cass Art, make sure to take a photo, post on your Instagram stories and tag Claire’s Instagram page (linked above under the photo) as I know for a fact she would love that! π
There we have it then guys, those are my favourites from August! August was a very strange month for me and I feel like September is going to be a nice month, but a very anxious one too.
What were your favourites from August? Also, what are you looking forward to about September? Make sure to let me know in the comments below.
Until next time guys, I hope you’ve had a great start to September and here’s to spooky season finally beginning! π
I can’t believe we’re already over a week into July! I also can’t believe Halloween is just around the corner too, as well as Christmas. Not going to lie, I love summer but damn am I excited for autumn in September! I have so many plans this year. π
I feel like July on my blog is turning into a strange month for posts. Nothing has really come out in the pattern/order I wanted it to and this is just purely because June felt like a long month for me and a tiring month at that. A lot of stuff was happening and although I had a week off work, I don’t at all feel rested.
My Twitch streams are keeping me busy too and I have so many ideas swirling around for the future of Twitch and more… I want to “announce” it here (if you will…) and say that I’m hoping to do YouTube in the future. I don’t know when, but I have so many ideas going around my head after a friend of mine planted the seed.
That aside, I’m really excited for this months wish list! Some items are pre-ordered and some I’m really hoping to order… More below of course. π
I hope you guys are having a lovely weekend and if you’re watching the football (I’m not :P) I hope you get the results you hope for. π
If there is one thing I kind of lack in, it’s shoulder bags. I only really have one (my fake Samantha Vega Sailor Moon shoulder bag) which is my go to, as well as one of my favourite bags as Dane bought it for me back in 2015 when we went to Hyper Japan. The fact it’s still lasted six years later is great! However, I would like something else to use alongside this and this Pikachu Loungefly bag looks to be the one for me! It’s available from the Pokemon Center USA website, but I’m going to source elsewhere me thinks. It’ll be one to use if I’m just popping round to friends, or going out for food/drinks. Think I might treat myself to it at the end if the month!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2022 Day-to-Day Calendar – (link)
I found out about this through Twitter and pre-ordered is straight away! As many of you know, I LOVE Animal Crossing (I stream it twice a week on Twitch too :P) so when I saw they were bringing out a little day-to-day desk calendar I was tempted. However, when I found out it have villagers birthdays featured on the day in question, I kind of knew I had to get it for my desk! It’s out at the end of the month and you can pre-order one yourself from Amazon now. π
As regular readers will know, I LOVE Smoko and the items they have out, especially the Asian food and potato characters. I’ve been eyeing up the fridge on their website for what feels like years now, so now it’s come to Urban Outfitters in the UK I would really like to pick it up! I very much doubt I will though, but I wanted to show it off to you guys in case you want to get it! π
Pokemon Plamo Collection Mew Plastic Model – (link)
This is something that has been on my wish list for quite some time now and I’d still really love it! I think it would be so much fun to get, make a video of me putting together/stream me putting it together. I’ve not seen anyone in the UK selling this, but I have found it on From Japan, as well as Amazon Japan (linked above) so I think as and when I want to make an order from either in the future, I’m going to pick this up. I want to keep this little cutie on my desk next to my Sylveon capchara (can see and read about it here). I think there’s loads of these you can choose from too including Pikachu, Eevee, Gengar, Mewtwo, etc. If you search for “Pokemon Plamo Collection” on Amazon Japan you’ll see them all. π
This is something I’ve been after for a while and actually found it through a seller on Etsy, but wasn’t 100% sure so left. Now that ARTBOX has it in stock I may order it when payday comes at the end of the month! I’d pop this bell charm on my Loungefly PomPomPurin backpack! I’m planning to show that off on my blog in the future, which will be so cute! π I do really love ARTBOX, but I’ve never actually made an order with them!
Finally we have a pre-order item that I ordered last week after it released. The owner of SGC decided to bring out a plush of the Sad Ghost and I couldn’t resist! For those who may never have heard, SGC “We’re a small creative project making comic books, apparel and merchandise to spread positive awareness of mental health.” which I adore. It makes me feel less lonely and understood when their posts relate to how I’m doing that day with my anxiety and depression. So, when I saw that they’d brought out a plush of the little cutie, I had to order! This little guy will sit with my plushies in my plush cabinet! If you’re really interested in getting your own Sad Ghost, please make sure to snap him up now because it’s only a limited edition item with one run!
Anyhoo guys, those are my wish list items for July! I’m on a spending ban this month in all honesty due to buying my new car, but I’m going to start spending less now, because I need to. I think I’ll have a few treats a month and then that’s it! π
What items are on your wish lists? Do you like what’s on mine? Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below!
Until next time guys, I hope you’re having a lovely weekend and take care. π
How is it May already? I can’t believe how quick 2021 is going and it’s making me feel old in a way! At the same time, as much as I’ve enjoyed April it’s been bloody cold this week. We are meant to be in spring, I need me some sunshine and warmer weather now.
I think the most I’m excited about for May is some pre-ordered goodies I have arriving, making my new desk look cute as fuck and playing lots of New Pokemon Snap.
April has been such a strange month. It’s the month I really started to get into Twitch and I even bought a brand new Animal Crossing edition Switch, which I LOVE. You can read more about that here. I’m excited for the future of my Twitch channel and by the end of May I hope to have made affiliate.
For the time being however, I’m going to get cracking with my favourites and what I loved in April.
I know this isn’t a typical beauty product to talk about but I REALLY wanted to share these period underwear this month after trying them in April. Three words – They are amazing and I’ll never look back. I’d been thinking about buying reusable pads for a while now, but was feeling a bit lost of where to look, start, etc. Whilst doing my monthly shop at the end of March I found these in Tesco on offer and decided to pick up a pack. I gave them a go on day two of my period and they were amazing. I could tell I had them on at first, but the longer I wore them the more I got used to and comfortable with wearing them. I felt anxious throughout the day but at the same time I felt confident of no leaks. I wore them to bed and woke up with no issues… If you know what I mean. π
From memory they last 50 washes and are as easy to wash as they are to wear. You rinse them with cold water until the water runs clear and then throw into the washing machine. Simple! I clean them with cold water when I jump into the shower in the morning, run under the cold tap and when I’m out of the shower I throw them into the machine.
There are loads of brands you can buy and try, my reason for picking the Bodyform underwear up is the price I snagged them for and more. Again, I highly recommend these, they’re amazing!
Soβ¦ Now itβs time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month! If there isnβt anything Iβve done Iβm not going to mention.
Favourite Movie – Midsommar.
This is a film I’ve seen a few times now and recently I had the urge to watch it again. It’s a horror film by Ari Aster (also directed Hereditary) who has seemingly come out of nowhere. Aster’s horror films are eerie and will leave you with questions and an unfamiliar feeling, which is exactly what Midsommar did to me.Β Midsommar is a film about a group of friends who travel to Sweden to visit their friends home. A festival is taking place during their stay and they end up finding themselves in part of a cult that they aren’t 100% sure about. Amongst the group of friends there is also a couple whose relationship is being held together by a tragedy that occurred years prior. The film is overall just eerie and the things that happen are strange and odd to say the least. I’ve watched so many videos analysing the film, which is what fuelled me to watch it again. Watching it for a second time has really opened my eyes to the film and if you don’t get upset easily (there are a lot of sensitive subjects such as suicide and gore) I highly recommend watching it!
Favourite TV Show β Invincible.
This is a new TV show I’ve literally finished just before writing my favourites and I LOVED it! It was a recommendation from my colleagues and when I mentioned it to Dane we decided to start watching it that evening. It’s based off of a comic book of the same name and is about Mark, son of superhero Omni-Man, who eventually becomes superhero Invincible. We see Mark juggling being a superhero and trying to finish high school. There’s more to the story, but I don’t want to worry whatever I share may spoil. I highly recommend watching! This is an Amazon Prime Video exclusive show by the way.
Favourite Song β Lil Nas X – “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)”.
This song. I don’t feel like I need to write anything about it because I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like this song at the moment. I kept hearing this song on a Logitech advert on Twitch and I started to really like it, so Googled. This song came up on YouTube and it has literally JUST come out. I fell in love with it and I’ve not been able to stop listening to it since. I play it at least once a day in the week whilst working and maybe once or twice throughout the weekend. It’s blowing up the internet though and before hearing this song I’d never heard of Lil Nas X before. Now I’m quite excited for his new album to drop this year. I don’t know if it’ll be my sort of music, but I’ll definitely check it out.
I’ve owned the remake of the original Pokemon mystery dungeon games since it came out at the start of March 2020, but I’d only played it for a short amount of time before Animal Crossing came out. Why? Because I got bloody stuck and gave up on it. At the start of April I decided to start streaming me playing it on Twitch and it’s been really fun. I decided to restart the game as I hadn’t played a lot anyway when I got stuck. So far it’s going okay, but I’m yet to get to the point I was stuck at before… I just forgot how much I like this game and it’s one I can see me playing outside of stream in the future. I highly recommend picking it up to play if you’ve never played the mystery dungeon games before, or if you want the nostalgia from the games back in the day!
Just a few of my favourite things.
Gel Nails.
As the salons were able to open back up in April I was booked in to get my nails done and it was WELL overdue! I decided to go for a duck egg blue colour with glitter. They’re still lasting now and I do love them. If there’s one thing I have really missed during the second and third lockdowns it’s getting my nails done. I feel like every three weeks it’s my time to get pampered, not have to do or think about much for an hour and I can just have a good natter with my nail technician. I’ve been going to her for over a year now, but due to COVID I’ve only had my nails done by her sixteen times, which isn’t as many as it should have been by now. I’m already excited to get a new set of gels done next week, but I do not have a clue what I’m going to get yet! maybe something pastel for spring? π
New Desk.
Me and Dane decided in April that it was time for me to get my own desk in our office. I’ve wanted my own space for a while to work at for both work and personal. I’ve had a few of my items dotted on Dane’s desk but I have to always move them at the end of the working day and put them back at the start and the same happened with my work laptop too. I’d put it away at the end of the day and set it up at the start. The desk Dane bought me wasn’t the one I’d thought he was ordering, so I was worried at first that it would be too small. However, this being said we’ve made it work and I’ve had it and been working at it for a week now. It’s amazing! I got my office chair from work so I didn’t need to buy a new one (although I may eventually) and we already had an old monitor that I could use. All that was left to do was decorate the desk and the area really!
As you can see from the above photo I have started to make it my own with my Danbo Nendoroid, Smoko ramen cup lamp, a Tokidoki plush and fox coaster that my friend Sarah (Raiin Monkey) sent to me, my raccoon planter from Tesco and finally my Razer quartz headset and headset stand. I have a lot more work to do to my desk including making use of the white space above the desk and more. I’ll be showing it off more in my monthly favourites I’m sure!
Pokemon and Disney purchases.
I made some cute purchases during April and they’re all featuring towards the end of my monthly favourites. The first group I want to talk about are Pokemon and Disney themed.
I picked up this Loungefly bag second hand from someone via a Loungefly Facebook group (who I’ve since befriended) and I’ve been using it since. After I discovered this bag existed at the start of the year it fast became one of my holy grain and sought after bags. One weekend around February I searched all over for this and could only find it for around $200-$400 which I was NOT willing to pay. I gave up on the search eventually and had the frame of mind, “If it turns up at a decent price… So be it…” so when I saw it for a decent price, I snatched it up! I love it so much. The first shopping trip I wore it out I heard people commenting on it which was awesome. It’s my go to bag at the moment and one I’ll definitely use when I return back to working in the office. I have taken it into a work a few times now, which is good. Would you guys like to see a blog post about my Loungefly bags? I have one coming soon and I’ve bought a couple of new ones in 2021 so yes, let me know!
I picked up some Disney goodies from Fox Leap and alongside the two items I bought, Sophie sent me LOADS of extra goodies too which made me smile! She’s such an amazing seller and lovely person to talk to. I decided to finally pick up the Angel enamel pin and Lady and the Tramp print that I’ve had saved in my favourites on Etsy for the longest time. As regular readers will know, Lady and the Tramp is my favourite Disney film and I have fond memories of the sequel when it came out too. Alongside my purchases I also received a Scar print (which I’d been eyeing up for a while), Fennekin enamel pin, Bambi and Faline enamel pin, an Angel sticker and some Disney horse stickers. I don’t feel like I can thank Sophie enough for sending me so many lovely extras.
I’m giving Sophie a bit of a plug here (because she bloody deserves it!) but if you like watching streamers, make sure to check out her Twitch channel. Sophie’s streams are great to relax to and she’s even come to mine before, which is always lovely and supportive. I’m also part of her Discord which is so friendly. π I’m looking to join her Patreon in the near future.
Finally I ordered the Nickit plush from the Pokemon Center via YY Kawaii and it arrived in April. Nickit was my favourite Pokemon in Sword and Shield and as soon as I could catch one in the game, it stayed in my party for as long as possible! This plush is bigger than I thought it was going to be, which was great! It now lives on my plushie cabinet alongside my Dragonite, Eevee, Morgana and more. It’s just a nice plush to add to my collection. Don’t forget by the way thatΒ if you would like to save 10% off of the YY Kawaii website, make sure to use the code YYCOFFEE10 β which is my brand affiliate code with YY Kawaii!
Animal Crossing Cookie.
April appears to have been a month where I have been slightly obsessed with Cookie from Animal Crossing. Why? I don’t know but I’ve either bought items, received items or found and finished things with her featured.
As you may have seen from my last blog post, my Quirkory pre-order arrived for some Animal Crossing enamel pins, one of the pins was Cookie. It’s such an adorable enamel pin and it’s by far one of my favourites in my collection now! If you want to read a bit more about this enamel pin AND the latest Animal Crossing collection from Quirkory please make sure to check out the latest post all about it. π If you like the look of the Cookie enamel pin and would like to save 10% off of Quirkoryβs store then make sure to use the code TMBQUIRKORY!
Alongside the enamel pin arriving, I decided to finally order myself something from Nooks Needles Co as I’d wanted to for a while. I noticed the store had started to stock Cookie designs, so I decided to reach out to potentially buy a custom order. I wanted Cookie on a light purple sweater, but I wanted the image of Cookie to be larger and in the middle of the chest area of the sweater, instead of smaller and on the left hand side of the chest. Laur the person behind Nooks Needles Co was happy to oblige and ordered a sweater in shade orchid for me. It arrived over a week later and I’ve worn it loads so far, as you’ll see from the image above, as well as my new picture on my blog too. I’m looking to review this store and sweater in the future, so please keep eyes peeled for this in May/June. π
Finally I want to share this Cookie cross stitch I FINALLY finished after owning it since March 2020. I don’t know why it took so long as it was practically finished when I picked it up again towards the end of this month. This cross stitch kit is from diyCrossing and although I bought this last year, they still have plenty of cross stitch kits available to buy! They’re really easy to follow, whether you’re new to cross stitch or not. I’ve been cross stitching since I was about ten why my mom first got me into it, so to be able to do this kit of a villager I adore, it’s been lovely. I’ve since ordered two more, Lucky and Bones, two more of my favourite villagers. I plan to buy and work on all the dog cross stitch kits from diyCrossing in the future and display them.
There we have it guys, those are my favourites from April! As I said at the start of the post, I can’t quite believe it’s May already! I don’t know what May brings, but I feel like it’s going to be good. I have some time off work in June so I feel May is going to be a month of planning what me and Dane are going to do.
What were your favourites from April? What do you think of my favourites? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!
Until next time guys, take care and have a lovely bank holiday weekend!
Happy Easter everyone! I hope you’re having a lovely bank holiday so far. At the time of writing this, I’m really excited for my Easter roast that I’m cooking with Dane as well as our chocolate eggs. I’m also planning to cook some mini egg brownies or cupcakes and send half over to my parents and keep half ourselves. I’m not sure which to bake yet, but brownies are looking to be the choice at the moment. I’d buy some cream too to pour over the top, or maybe some custard? OOFT!
Anyhoo… Enough of yummy food. This months wish list pretty much contains items I’ve bought/pre-ordered or hoping to pre-order VERY soon. I’m still looking to be on a spending ban in April because I’m finding it really handy to keep track of what I’ve bought and when, as well as WHY I’ve bought something.
An example of this being March. At the start of the new spending ban month, Black Milk Clothing had brought out their second Pokemon collection and I know I wanted to pick up a few pieces from it. They’re both limited and wouldn’t be brought back, so I bought them. I think items that are limited edition, or rare items found on eBay are acceptable within reason.
Another example, I found one of my holy grail Loungefly bags and it wasn’t cheap. It was a reasonable price considering, but not cheap. I’d seen a piece from Black Milk Clothing’s latest collection (The Thirteenth Tarot) that I wanted to buy, as well as a piece from the first Pokemon collection in the sale. I haven’t bought these pieces due to buying the bag. Granted, I didn’t need any of these things but… I wanted the bag.
Anyway, I digress! I’m really excited to talk about the items on my wish list this month. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing this months wish list post! π
Oyasai Fairy and Manabu Vegetable Knowledge Book by PonkichiM (link)
This is something I didn’t think I’d ever own, even though I really wanted it. PonkichiM is a Japanese artist I discovered well over a year ago now thanks to Twitter and now Iβm able to own their art book which is full of their cute vegetable animal hybrids that the artist calls faeries. I told my friend Emily (who I met through Instagram) about PonkichiM a while ago and she fell in love with the artists designs too, which did not surprise me! So, when Emily told me she was going to order the knowledge/art book from Amazon Japan and wondered if I wanted one. I jumped on it and when it arrived at hers I paid her for it. π Her boyfriend was kind enough to bring it over and post through the letter box and it’s GORGEOUS! I’ll be showing this off in my April favourites later this month for sure. π
Loungefly x Sanrio Pompompurin Mini Backpack and Purse
I decided to merge these two items together as I have a STORY to tell in regards! So, I’d pre-ordered both of these items through Geekcore and they were both due to come out in April. However earlier this week I received an email saying that this and a few other designs had been cancelled in the UK due to failing quality control… Which sucked. I’d not exactly had the best day so to hear this news was devastating to me… π¦ I’ve had a full refund and I’ve pre-ordered through an America seller I’ve bought from before. I don’t 100% know when these will be out, but I hope sooner rather than later as I cannot wait for these to arrive. They’re gorgeous fluffy bags and of course feature my favourite Sanrio character, Pompompurin. I do feel I’ve paid far too much now to get him into my life, but I guess it’s… Kind of worth it… :’)
I do feel bad buying fake amiibo cards, but at the same time I don’t when Nintendo is pissing their UK fans about. There. I said it. We were all told by Nintendo UK the end of March, but the worldwide release was the 26th March, which we assumed would be the same here. I waited all day to order a pack of cards, as did others, but nothing dropped. I started to come to a realisation that IF the cards had of come out that day, I probably wouldn’t have gotten any anyway, due to the fact SO many people want to get a packet of these cards, as well as scalpers trying to snag them too. So, I decided to buy some of the custom made ones and when the real cards released, I’d get those too. You know what? Nintendo UK decided to release the cards on the last day of March, without much warning and they sold out quickly, with some cancellations and refunds given to people by Nintendo due to overselling. I know they also released some more packs on the 1st April. I missed both drops and was gutted. I have some big plans for my Sanrio cards and items, which I’m so excited about!
Pokemon Center Nickit Plush
If there was one Pokemon from Sword and Shield that I fell in love with and called my favourite from that gen, it’s Nickit. The cute little fox Pokemon that specialises in dark moves. I just fell in love and caught one as soon as I could in the game. Sadly it didn’t follow me all the way to the end, but for the start of my journey in Shield, it did me good. I’d waited patiently for a Nickit plush to come to the Pokemon Center and FINALLY it is time! I’ve pre-ordered my plush through YY Kawaii (Instagram – yykawaiimerch1) which I’m excited to have arrive in the upcoming months! Make sure to use code “YYCOFFEE10” to snag 10% off of the website!
Finally we have a game I’m SUPER excited to see come out at the end of the month and that is the New Pokemon Snap game coming to Switch! I never got to play the original Pokemon Snap on Nintendo 64 as I never owned one and neither did any of my friends. I always have a fond memory of going to Dixons with my dad and running to the back of the shop to play on the N64 that was set up at the back of the shop withΒ Pokemon SnapΒ inside that you could play. I never got the chance to play it every time I ran to the back of the shop, because there was always a kid, or at least a group of siblings stood there hogging it. So, this coming out will be like a part of my childhood I missed out on. π Eventually I’ll snag the Pikachu N64 ANDΒ Pokemon Snap so I can play it myself, at home, without the worry of some selfish kids preventing me. π
So there we have it guys, that is my wish list for April and I feel like I’m already skint. π
I’m so excited for April, Easter break so far has been amazing, I’m looking forward to my roast and Easter eggs, as well as Dane’s birthday in a couple of weeks time. π
What do you guys have on your wish lists for April? As well as if plans you may have for April too? Let me know in the comments. π
Until next time all, take care and HAPPY EASTER! π
It is officially September and I am already loving this month. I already feel like I have some awesome stuff planned, which I’m excited about. I’ll be attending a couple of blog events, which Dane will be at as my plus one. I love going to blog events with Dane. I feel like we can really have a date afternoon/evening together.
As well as that we also have loads planned with friends from gaming days to Dungeons & Dragons.
However, it is that time again guys where I show off to you the things I want to buy this month. I feel like we are already into the second week of September… I blame the bank holiday myself. I feel like the August bank holiday always comes up at the last week of the month, not the week before last. Is that just me?
Anyway, I feel like I’ve wanted loads of stuff this month, but at the same time I haven’t due to saving money. Saving money is something I am trying so hard to do as Japan IS looming! I want as much spending monies for there as possible without stressing about not having any/not having a good time. To be fair, I’ve already treated myself to a few things this month, but sod it! I’ve already earned a little treat… Or two! π
I swear the recent drop from Pandora was AMAZING! I haven’t seen a collection for years where I fell in love with most of what they were offering and you know what? I wasn’t the only person either. I’ve fallen in love with two charms in particular – the You Are Magic Dragon Dangle Charm (which I bought over the weekend) and the one I will be talking about on this post. Years ago, Pandora came out with a ghost charm, which I adored but never bought. It just never happened and sadly that charm is LONG GONE now! To be fair, I don’t regret never getting the little ghost charm now, because this Boo the Ghost one is so much better. It’s such a cute chubby ghost and I honestly need him in my life. I’m not going to lie, I’ll probably end up buying this when I’m paid next! What do you think of this little cutie?
Loungefly Pokemon Eevee Brown Embossed Cross-Body (link)
I actually own the matching wallet (which you can see here) for this Loungefly Eevee bag, which I adore and have no regrets buying! However, I now REALLY want the bag to match. I have done for years to be honest with you so now that Bazaar Bazaar have now begun to stock it, I think eventually I’ll need to pick it up! My only issue with the bag itself is it’s tiny for the money and it doesn’t close with a zip, just a magnetic button which I dislike. I would want to stitch in a zip so that I had some extra “security” on the bag itself. This being said, this bag would be perfect for evenings out, as well as my holiday in Japan! Maybe I will pick this up if it’s still available at the end of the month. π
Nendoroid Persona 5 Yusuke Kitagawa: Phantom Thief Ver. (link)
This is a Nendoroid figure I pre-ordered MONTHS ago through YY Kawaii! I think I was quite late to pre-ordering, but either way I’m so excited for him to arrive now. As regular (and possibly new) readers will know, I LOVE Persona 5 so when they announced each and every single Phantom Thief, I KNEW I had to have them all in my life. As soon as one is revealed and YY Kawaii has one up for pre-order, I make sure to get my order in straight away. Eventually I hope to show off all my Persona 5 Nendoroid babies, but until I get them all, this won’t be happening. π¦
I am SO excited for this film to come out in less than a few weeks now! I remember going to see it at the cinema the day it came out and how excited I was. I think I was a bit TOO excited, but I don’t care. Pokemon and Ryan Reynolds in the same franchise? I’ve not heard something so great since Ryan Reynolds was confirmed for Deadpool. That was music to my ears! π I already have this pre-ordered, so the day it comes out I’ll be looking forward to putting it on, having some yummy food and watching it again with Dane, cuddled on the sofa. I’ll be making a real couples evening with it.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Elma’s Office Lady Diary Vol. 2 Manga (link)
This is a manga series I love so much and I can’t get enough of it and same can be said for the anime too! I have only just started reading the Elma’s Office series and I love it so much already. Elma is my favourite character from Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid so when they announced she was getting her own manga series, I was so happy! Of course Kanna received her own series, she blew up in popularity after the anime aired. I’ve ordered this volume now, but let me tell you, it wasn’t easy to obtain. I don’t know what it is but Wordery (who are my go to place for cheap manga) didn’t have this in stock and Amazon went from saying 1-4 weeks to 1-2 months! I’ve ordered it through another book retailer similar to Wordery, which is good.
I don’t know what it is, but I really want to start wearing gel nails again. Last summer I bought everything you need to start creating your own gel nails at home and I really loved it… However, the cheap polish I picked up from Amazon is just shite. I recently painted both mine and my mom’s nails and within 2 days they were peeling off for us both. If I’m going to paint my nails with gel myself at home, I would at least link a gel that is GOING to last on my nails and not peel off within a few days… Whilst I want to check out the brand Candy Coat, I also want to check out The Gel Bottle too, as I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. When I had a nose on their website, the first colour I saw on the product list was this gorgeous blue mermaid shade called Blue Hawaiian. It’s gorgeous and I’d definitely love to give it a go myself with this polish. I need to really look into it, as I would like my nails to be done with gel polish for my holiday to Japan. π
So those are all my items from my wish list this month! I semi struggled to get stuff on the list this month. Sometimes I go through phases of I either really want loads of random shit, or hardly anything at all. That is one of those months… A lot of stuff I wanted from last month, I’d still like this month, but of course I’m not going to re-add stuff to my wish list, because that would be boring! π
What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!
Until next time, I hope you’re all having a great week so far – the weekend is so close! π
I cannot believe we’re nearly two weeks into January! The month is already going by quickly and I cant say as I like it. π
As I always do, I thought I’d write about what gifts I received for my 29th birthday. Like Christmas, I love reading gifts that people receive for both that and of course for birthdays too!
Since the 21st December I haven’t stopped and this weekend I’ll be doing sod all! I just want to relax and not worry about doing anything in all honesty. The only thing I want to do is clean my bathroom and play games. π Nice mixture of adulthood and childhood right there. π
Anyhoo, without further ado, I’m going to show you all the wonderful gifts I received!
I started off the day by opening with Dane’s parents had bought me, which I was surprised by! I couldn’t believe that they’d not only bought me the Elodie the Unicorn humidifier as well as some essential oils to use with it! There are three essential oils in the box which are lavender, tea tree and eucalyptus. Since Sunday night we’ve been using this every evening whilst we sleep and it works so lovely! So far I’ve used the eucalyptus essential oil as I’ve felt like I’ve had a bit of a head cold the past couple of days and it works so great!
Seeing as this is an Elodie the Unicorn item and I’ve mentioned their stuff before on my blog, would you like me to review this humidifier? Make sure to let me know in the comments! π
After opening my adorable humidifier I opened the gifts that Dane had bought me. I was rather excited for what he’d bought as bar one thing, I didn’t have a clue about the others!
First of all the item(s) I knew about receiving are these amazing Pokemon Center Pokemon Doll pin badges! I started to collect these over a year ago and had been picking them up in dribs and drabs. As there was three I was missing, I decided I wanted to finish off my collection, but that was proving easier said than done considering these seem to now be discontinued. Then I found the three I needed on Asakura-Japan, an eBay and online store me and Dane use whenever we’re after certain things from Japan. I’d asked Dane for these for quite some time whenever he asked what I wanted for Christmas, birthday etc and Christmas he finally decided to order them! However, they got lost in the post and it sucked. He felt guilty and seemed a bit bummed about it as it seemed the Royal Mail had misplaced them at our local depot. He got his money back though and the seller offered Dane a discount so he could reorder them, which he was hesitant to do. However, I really wanted the pins so ordered them myself with a discount code I had myself for eBay. Dane being Dane sent me the money I’d spent on the pins and when they arrived he wrapped them up and popped them into my birthday bag. π
As you can see I have three of the original four Eeveelutions, Eevee, Jolteon and Flareon. I’m so chuffed to have all 9 Eeveelutions pin badges now! I plan to buy a frame and some cork board from IKEA so I can make a nice little frame to hang up in the house. π I’ll definitely post about the making of this as and when I do it!
The next gift I received I had a feeling was a Nendoroid, but when it comes down to these gifts both me and Dane always open them last as they’re classed as our “big” or “main” presents from one another. I wasn’t quite sure which Nendoroid it would be in all honesty as I know Dane struggled to get me one as most of them I want right now I’ve either pre ordered myself, or are sold out in most places.
Alas, I opened it to see he’d bought me the casual version of Yuri Katsuki from Yuri on Ice. He’s so gorgeous and in all honesty I worried I would never get it to add to my Yuri on Ice collection. I remember when he was announced, I was so excited for him to come out so now that I have him, I can’t wait to get him into a cute position and pop him with the rest of my Yuri on Ice babies! π
The Nendoroid also came with a wooden Yuri Katsuki charm, which is so cute! He’s sat on the floor with an ice skate in his hands. I plan to keep him on my backpack alongside my Persona 5 Joker charm.
The final present that Dane bought me is by far my favourite gift and one that is so cute and thoughtful. He knew I’d had my eye on the Pokemon Pop’n Step figures for a while now and being the cutie that he is, he found the Eevee one and bought it for me. I actually think with this present he was more excited for me to open it than I was! π
This is amazing though and I couldn’t be happier with it! It plays three songs from the original Red, Blue and Yellow games which is cool. You click the button on the right and Eevee will dance to the music played. If you push that button again it stops the music. The button on the left is the volume, which is muted, low or high. We tried muting the music so you could hear how Eevee dances without it and it’s amazing that you can still tell what the songs are without the music.
I especially love how you can connect these to the other Pokemon Pop’n Step figures, but this is also dangerous because I want them all now. π Honestly though I love this gift so much, it made me so happy for almost an hour the day I received it and the day after. The Eevee’s little face is just so magical to look at whilst it dances.
So those are all the gifts that Dane bought for me! I also received some money from family. The money I was gifted from my mom is being saved until I’m paid next month, so for now it’s saved for a rainy day. The money my dad gifted me went towards a new Pandora charm for my bracelet, this charm being the Bobby Bot Dog charm that I’ve been eyeing up for some time now. It’s so damn cute and the online store didn’t do it justice. I love it so much and every time I look at it, I think of my dad. π
The rest of the money I received went towards some bits and pieces whilst shopping in town on my birthday, including some Lush products which were Christingle Naked Body Conditioner (which was in the sale), The Big Banana Massage Bar (which smells amazing! I don’t quite know what I plan how/where I wish to use this yet. It was tested on Dane and smelt too good to pass up!) and Six Yellow and Red Reusable Bubble Bar (which smells JUST LIKE YOG NOG! One of my favourite Lush scents!).
I plan to try and review Six (Yellow and Red) Reusable Bubble Bar reviewed on my blog before Valentine’s Day, so keep eyes peeled for that. π
I also picked up the Blu-ray of Mary and the Witch’s Flower as it was only Β£9.99! I planned to watch it when me and Dane got home from town on my birthday, but we were too tired and just chilled out together in bed and read manga.
Finally I picked myself a little something up that I’d been eyeing up before Christmas. It’s the Loungefly Pokemon Eevee Embossed Tri-Fold Wallet which I mentioned before Christmas I’d wanted, but had sold out and I was gutted about. I still kept it saved on my Amazon wish list just in case it came back, WHICH IT DID! I was so happy and as soon as I saw it was back up for sale, I made sure to order it. I didn’t want to miss out on it again and for it to be permanent the next time. It arrived a few days later and it’s gorgeous and even better than I thought it was going to be! It’s a lovely vintage brown colour with a picture of a happy Eevee on the front. When you open it up there’s a gorgeous floral pattern inside of the wallet.
This is the same style as my current wallet (which is also by Loungefly) so I can transfer loads of stuff into it easily from my old wallet, which I’ll do as soon as this post is written, as I can’t wait to use it later today! π
So, that was everything I received and even bought for myself. π I loved my birthday this year, even if it did go far too quickly for my liking. I went to town for the afternoon with Dane, went to Ghetto Golf with Dane and friends and went for a meal with Dane after. It wasn’t anything special, but it was good nonetheless.
I don’t quite know what to ask at the end of this post other than, when is your birthday? π Make sure to let me know!
I hope everyone is ready for the weekend, I know I am! π
