February Wish List ’22

Can you believe it’s already February? I can’t to be honest. I’ve been quite excited though for a new month. January wasn’t exactly great for me (as I mentioned in my January favourites here) for various reasons so a new month and a fresh start has been very much needed. I’ve always been an autumn girl but not going to lie, I’m really excited for spring for lighter nights, new baby animals being born and the excitement of Easter chocolate and roasts… Just a shame that’s a couple of months off yet. 😛

I’m back with another monthly post and of course this is my wish list. If there is one thing I’ve said to myself for 2022, it’s to be better with money, which I really was in January! I didn’t spend much and due to that I came out in February with some decent savings and more. That being said, January payday couldn’t have come quickly enough! Six weeks was long!

I want to state here that this months wish list was a tough one for me as two of the items listed are either ordered or pre-ordered months ago. I felt like I couldn’t come up with any items to add to the list, which is a rarity for me. That being said, all items listed are amazing (to me anyway) and I can’t wait to share them with you!

  • Pokémon Raihan Nendoroid – (link)

This is a pre order I’ve had for a while now (since May 2021, holy shit!) and I’m really excited for it to arrive. As regular readers will know, I collect Nendoroid’s and around ordering Raihan I decided that I finally needed to complete my Pokemon Nendoroid collection, once and for all! This being said I’m still missing three (Cynthia, N and Champion Red) which are some of the hardest to buy unless you’ve won the lottery. Raihan isn’t exactly a character I adore but he’s pretty cool nonetheless so I needed him for my collection. He’s due out in February so I’m looking forward to him arriving. I’m sure I’ll talk a little more about him in one of my monthly posts.

  • Geeky Clean Extinct Airlines Bubblegum & Candyfloss 3 in 1 Soap – (link)

I don’t know what’s happened but I appear to have run out of shower gel! We have the dregs of a bottle of Lush Snow Fairy, as well as a huge bottle of Australia Body Care tea tree body wash. I really want to try more brands for my shower gels and with Geeky Clean being an independent geeky beauty company I’ve tried and loved before, I’m definitely going to treat myself to a bottle of their 3 in 1 soap. This sounds like it’s going to smell like their Bard scent, which is a dupe of Snow Fairy, so hopefully all year round we should have the sickly sweet scent in our bathroom! Not going to lie though, I feel the £6.00 to be quite steep, but I’ll give it a go and if it’s not good/not worth the money I just won’t buy it again!

  • Tallulah’s Threads Love Bug Lilac Dress – (link)

This is actually an item I bought on payday a week ago and I have zero regrets! I’ve been eyeing it up for a while now and with how shit January was and a decent discount code to boot, I decided to treat myself! Tallulah’s Threads is a brand I’ve heard of for years now but was never keen previously as smock dresses never used to be my thing. Also, the dresses aren’t exactly cheap and younger me didn’t have much money to spend, unfortunately. I was never keen on the smock style of dress when I was younger as in my mind, (pretty sure everyone thinks this?) it always makes you look bigger than you are due to them being oversized. Back in the day I would have hated that idea, but now I don’t mind a smock dress hiding my body a bit. Plus, I think they’re fucking cute! I own two smock dresses (Disturbia and Fearless Illustration) and I adore them! They’re comfy, perfect for lounging around or hanging out with friends and with a belt around the middle they can be synched in! I also fell in love with the colour and pattern on this dress. It reminds me of spring and if there’s one thing I really want to do, it’s dress cuter! I’m already planning how I can style up this dress and I’m so excited for it!

  • Bravissimo Valentina Bra – (link)

If there’s one thing I am in desperate need of, it’s a new bra. Since Covid I’ve been mostly living in bralettes, which are super comfy and support a little, but the time has come where I need to wear a normal bra at least three days of the week and currently, I only have one… Well two if you take note that I have the same bra twice, because I fell in love and bought a back up… Anyone else own back up bras of their favourites? Anyhoo, when I spotted that Bravissimo were bringing out a Valentine’s Day/heart collection I FELL in love! I’m definitely going to take myself to Bravissimo very soon to try this cutie on and purchase, unless I purchase it online and hope for the best. Either way I need it. I really want the pyjamas that Bravissimo has brought out too, but I don’t need anymore so I’ll be giving those a miss. I keep wanting to order this online, but at the moment I may just hold off until me and Dane take a trip where there’s a Bravissimo store. That being said, I don’t want to wait too long in case I do miss out on it. I’ve done this before with previous bra styles and been gutted afterwards.

  • Pokemon Cafe Gacha Set – (link)

This is something I saw on Instagram last weekend and I’ve fallen in love with the gacha set that resembles the Pokemon Cafe items you can eat and drink! As regular readers will know, in January 2020 me and Dane went to Japan for a two week holiday and of course we ventured to the Pokemon Cafe (which you can read about here). Two of the gacha items in this set we actually drank/ate which has just taken me back to when we visited the Pokemon Cafe. I’d love to own all of these to keep with the gacha we obtained whilst we were in Japan. I need to try and source them all, which is proving a little tricky. 😦

  • Fluffy Cinnamoroll Backpack – (link)

First of all, I have a feeling this backpack isn’t a real Sanrio item… I’m wary of this. However, it’s so damn cute and I’d love to get it! In 2020-2021 I discovered fluffy backpacks (Loungefly Meeko and Loungefly PomPomPurin) and I adore them so much. They’re so comfortable to wear, look and feel lovely and just fit with the kawaii aesthetic I hope to achieve in the future. I know that Loungefly have a Cinnamoroll backpack as well which I didn’t like the look of when it first came out. Since then it’s really grown on me and before Christmas I could have snagged it for a BARGAIN on Vinted, but left it… I’m not gutted though, as I genuinely love this fluffy one more. I’ve found this backpack on Amazon recently for a decent price and went to order, BUT as I’m trying to be better with money I left it for a rainy day. Maybe if I have a shit day or two towards February payday, I could get it then? 😛

So there we have it guys, my monthly wish list for February!

What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments below.

Until next time guys, take care and have an amazing weekend! 😀

Meccha Japan – Review and Haul

Guys I cannot tell you how excited I have been to write this review and haul! I have literally had the items I’m going to be talking about with you sat in the box they arrived in in anticipation! 😛

In 2021 I decided that I wanted to explore my options when it comes down to buying kawaii goodies from Japan, such as the Pokemon center, Nintendo Tokyo, Nendoroid figures and more. I’d heard about Meccha Japan for quite some time, but never really thought about buying from them before as I always get anxious when shopping with new places based in Japan. I decided to go for it though last month and ordered myself some Pokemon plushies, as well as some of my favourite Japanese candy. All items are soda themed by the way, which I thinks pretty cool. 😛

I wanted to write a review all about Meccha Japan, as when I searched online for reviews via blogs and YouTube, I couldn’t find anything! No one I knew at the time of making my purchase had ordered from Meccha Japan either, but as they had great Trustpilot reviews and you could pay via PayPal (always important for me!) I decided to go for it. Spoilers, my experience was pretty good. 😛

So, sit back and grab a hot drink and maybe one of your favourite plushies to cuddle as I share with you my thoughts on Meccha Japan, as well as the soda themed goodies I bought.

For those of you who may be asking who Meccha Japan are a Japanese online shop who sell exclusive items that only come from Japan, which range from Pokemon, Sanrio, Studio Ghibli, Nendoroid figures and even Japanese food! All items are ready and available on the website, so now requesting items or trying to purchase through third parties.

I discovered Meccha Japan in 2020 when I came home from Japan and was after some items from the Pokemon Mofu Mofu Eievui collection. I found Meccha Japan through Google searches and had them bookmarked since.

Recently the Pokemon Center in Japan announced they would be adding more plushies to their Saiko Soda Refresh line, including Psyduck, Mew, Marill and Chikorita. I fell in love with the Mew plush especially but Marill’s cute little face definitely caught my eye too! I couldn’t decide between which to order, so I really went for it and ordered both, calling it an early Christmas present to myself. 😛

One thing I wanted to mention and show here is how well packaged I found everything to be! The box wasn’t too big for the goodies I ordered, as well as a fair cost for airmail, which arrived a week after it being sent. The cost for all my goods to be shipped was £11.54 which I found really good considering. A lot of people may feel this is a lot, but considering it arrives in a week, I’m not complaining!

The Mew plush is a gorgeous Barbie pink colour, with huge cobalt blue eyes and the CUTEST tag design I’ve seen since the Eeveelution Poke Dolls. This is a really nice sized plush for a collector, especially if you love Mew and the colour pink as well. At the time of purchase this cost me £11.32, which is a complete bargain! I couldn’t not pick up Mew, considering it’s one of my favourite Pokemon. I’ve really loved the Saiko Soda Refresh collection, but just never really “loved” anything from the collection enough to buy, until now. This Mew plush was my reason for finally taking the plunge for making my first order with Meccha Japan.

Plush Marill Pokémon Saiko Soda – (link)

This is the first (and probably only) Marill plush to come to my Pokemon plushie collection and it’s so BLOODY CUTE! Literally, “It’s so fluffy I’m going to die!” feelings came when this arrived! I ummed and ahhed a little bit about buying this plush, but due to the price at the time (same as Mew at £11.32) I thought it would be rude not to buy it and I’m so glad I did, as since then the price has increased. I only assume this is due to these plushies selling out and being harder to get? I especially love it’s confused and surprised looking face, which is so cute! Everything about the Marill Saiko Soda Refresh plush works and I don’t think they could have picked a better Pokemon for it. I especially love Marill’s tail too, which is really springy and cute, definitely something different for my collection. Like Mew, the artwork on the tag is so adorable!

Alongside the Pokemon plushies, I also ordered myself some of my favourite Japanese candy, Bourbon Fettuccine Gummies in soda flavour!

I discovered these ramune flavoured sweets in Japan in 2020 and fell in love, so when I found these on Meccha Japan, I made sure to order a decent amount… Aka five packets. I had ten in my basket originally, not going to lie. 😛 These are chewy strips that are a aqua blue colour with a sugar coating and taste of ramune, my favourite! These are stupidly cheap at just 96p a packet (at the time of ordering)! Some stockists in the UK are selling these over £3.00 which is a joke. I’ll definitely order some more of these on my next order from Meccha Japan, it would be rude not to.

Overall I was really happy with the service from Meccha Japan! Their costs are extremely fair, the delivery costs were too and overall I was just happy with how everything arrived too.

I’m already planning to order from them again in the near future and have some goodies bookmarked for next time, including, Pokemon Mew Cookie Roll Tin and Pokemon Fit Phanpy Plush.

Have you ever purchased from Meccha Japan? If so, how was your experience and what did you buy? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time all, have a great weekend and see you next week. 🙂

January Wish List ’22

Hello 2022! I can safely say it’s already been pretty crazy/crap for me and I can only hope it gets better from here! For the first couple of weeks of the year, both me and Dane have been really poorly (no, it wasn’t Covid, thankfully!). Not only have we had colds, but also a chest infection, which has really sucked. I’m still suffering with a loss of voice and cough, but I’m hopeful this will be gone by the end of this week.

Alongside that, 2022 is already flying by what with my birthday being almost a week ago already, as well as payday and Chinese New Year only a couple of weeks away too!

It wouldn’t be January though without one of my monthly posts, with the first official post of 2022 (not including my Happy New Year post…) being my wish list for January. I’m not going to lie guys, I’m seriously trying to be good this month, what with a longer wait until payday, as well as being spoilt over Christmas and birthday last week. However, there are some cute buts and pieces I’d love, but also have pre-ordered that are due out this month.

So, sit back and grab a hot drink as I show off and talk about my wish list for January 2022.

  • Dr Martens Devon Heart Leather Platform Boots – (link)

I don’t need a new pair of Docs, but I’d like a new pair… Why? I don’t actually know. I’m going to blame all the fashionistas on Instagram inspiring me. In 2021 I really started to think about fashion and more about how I wanted to start dressing again. However, Covid and lockdowns have prevented me from really getting out there with my new pieces. This being said, it doesn’t stop me updating. 😛 I love the couple of pairs of Docs I own, but a simple zip/buckle up pair would be really nice to own! Docs can be a little cumbersome to do up at the best of times and sometimes I can’t be arsed for that. These would look great with dresses, skirts and some trousers too! This won’t be a purchase I make anytime soon, but definitely a nice one to have on the list.

  • Hamtaro Nendoroid – (link)

This is a pre order I’ve had with Gamersheek since about April 2021 and it’s crazy how quickly time flies, isn’t it?! I seriously can’t wait for my Hamtaro Nendoroid to arrive. I was never able to watch the show as a kid, but I spent many IT classes and lunchbreaks at school on the internet looking at the Hamtaro website. It was all in Japanese and I didn’t understand a word, but I found colouring pages I would print off to colour at home and more. I loved it and I wish I had found the show it watch when I was younger. This being said, it’s never too late and this year I’m planning to try and find the show to binge watch!

  • Nintendo Tokyo Animal Crossing Gloves – (link)

I discovered these gloves around Christmas and was dead set on ordering myself a pair, as the UK is pretty damn cold at the moment… However, I’m going to wait until payday at the end of January to order these! As many readers will know, I love Animal Crossing and I especially love being warm, so a cute as fuck pair of gloves like this, is a definite must. These are Nintendo Tokyo store exclusive too, so I’d especially love to get hold of them if I can for sure. I’ll be picking them up from Meccha Japan, which is a Japanese store I recently discovered. I’ll be writing a review about them VERY soon so make sure to keep eyes peeled for that!

  • Monki Cloud Faux Fur Jacket – (link)

This is an item I added to my wish list and semi regret for a few reasons. First reason, it’s actually out of stock now and not like to be back IN stock, so it feels sort of pointless. Second reason, I really did fall in love with this jacket and wanted, but since looking back I think the COMPLETE opposite now. It’s bloody expensive for what it is at £75, but I don’t think it’s my style… When I was in Japan in 2020, I saw a fluffy jacket similar to this one (baby pink, dark purple, black, white and red) and I really fell in love with it, but never bought due to how much it cost and again, not my style. I do love soft things like this and the idea of having one as a jacket would be great, but at the same time, I have a dressing gown at home to snuggle in and it was half the price. 😛

  • Stitchtothepast Animal Crossing Stargazing Celeste Cross Stitch Kit – (link)

If there is one thing I have really been craving to do lately, it’s cross stitching. It’s also an old childhood hobby I picked back up towards the start of 2021 and didn’t continue with into the latter of last year. 2022 is going to be different and I really want to try and do as much cross stitch as I possibly can! My best friend (hey Gab!) bought me an Animal Crossing Shino cross stitch kit for Christmas, which I’ve been enjoying doing so far! I’ve also seen a cross stitch pattern I want to make into a project and buy to do and hang up by our front door. I’ve also seen this cross stitch kit that I would also love to do and hang in the house somewhere. Unfortunately the kit is currently sold out, so I’m hoping it comes back into stock soon so I can give it a go! When I’m paid at the end of the month, I’m planning to go to Hobbycraft to grab some goodies so I can start my project!

  • Nintendo Switch Pokemon Legends Arceus – (link)

Finally I have saved one of the best for last and it’s the new Pokemon game Legends Arceus! I’ve had this pre ordered for both me and Dane for quite some time now from Gamersheek and I’m hella excited to chill with Dane the weekend its out and play as much as possible! As Cyndaquil is the fire starter and my favourite starter ever, this will be my Pokemon of choice! I can’t speak for Dane which one he’ll pick. I decided in 2022 to start making my way through current games I own and make a list of them on a completion thread I’ve created on Twitter. I’ve linked it for you all here to keep tabs on, but I wanted to say again a massive thank you to my friend Connor for inspiring me to do this! Connor did this in 2021 and it was so inspiring to see him progress through his games collection.

So, there we have it guys, my wish list for January! What do you guys thinks? Any items you’ve spotted that you’d love to? Or maybe you already own them or have them pre-ordered too? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time guys, take care and I hope you’re having a great week so far!
