Life Lately… A Roller Coaster!

Wow it has almost been a month since I wrote a life lately post! Just goes to show how busy I was with getting on with life that I haven’t really written a massive update.

I’ve just got back from a late shift at work and I’m sat in the living room, with Dane cooking me dinner as I binge watch YouTube videos. OH WHAT AN AMAZING LIFE I DO LEAD. END OF POST! 😛 Sadly due to being so busy the weekend and the late shift yesterday I am a day late posting this… It’s worth the wait though… I hope. xD

I joke of course, this is intended to be a long read so make sure you have a hot drink handy to cradle as you read. Or at least save this post for your work break or a long journey. I hope it is as long as I am anticipating… THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID.

 photo 5_zpsnub8o7l1.jpg

The first thing I want to talk about is how I went to see cKy on Friday night and how fucking amazing they were! I’ve been listening to them since I was fourteen years old and have always wanted to see them live. The last time they played a tour in the UK was in 2003. I didn’t even know of them at that point! Since then the only times they have played in the UK are festivals, and I think that was only once at Download in 2009… Or at least around that time.

SO when I saw at the start of the year that they had announced a UK tour and a date in Birmingham, I KNEW I had to go! At first Dane wasn’t so sure as I think he imagined it would cost a fortune due to it being cKy. I knew it wouldn’t be too expensive due to the original venue so when we found out it would only cost us £15.00 each Dane was more into the idea. I was going to go all along anyway so yeah. 😛

So the morning the tickets went on sale I was at work so Dane booked them. It did sell out but the venue changed to a bigger one so that more tickets could go on sale… I assume anyway!

I swear the couple of months we waited to go to the gig really flew by and I was so excited and nervous the day of the gig. Of course I was excited to finally go and see a band I’ve been waiting to see live for over 10 years. But I was also really nervous because of various things. Due to wanting to see them play for so many years the anticipation of being able to make sure me and Dane got a good place to sit or stand was making me anxious. I also wanted to try and meet the band before or after too, which again was making me extremely nervous.

 photo 4_zps4vzeqvhu.jpg

 photo 3_zpsmoycr25k.jpg

Well I needn’t have been nervous and anxious as the gig itself was amazing! Me and Dane decided to sit towards the back by the bars so that we could get a good view and sit down without being bashed around. I do regret not being near the front but at the same time I got the same sound and a great view of everything that was going on just as well.

Before the gig we picked up some merchandise from the stand. I picked up a baseball t-shirt which I cannot wait to wear! The material is lovely and soft and when I tried it on it looked awesome. Dane got himself a t-shirt too but he picked up the tour one which looks awesome! I can see me stealing it. 😛

After the gig we hung around for a bit inside the venue and picked up the support bands CD, they were amazing and the singer/bass player had a double bass AND is left handed! I’m a left handed guitar/bass player so whenever I see lefties like myself it makes me very happy. 😛

 photo 7_zps4l4lqayv.jpg

We went around the back of the O2 Academy to see if any of the band mates were around and low and behold there was Jess! My favourite member of cKy! I didn’t actually think I’d be able to meet any of the band, let alone my favourite. I went down and after allowing people before me to “have their turn” in talking to Jess, having pictures and things signed it was my turn and I was shaking with nerves. I’ve always been nervous when meeting celebrities like anyone is but I don’t ever remember feeling this nervous before. I was shaking all over and I didn’t know what to say!

 photo 6_zpsjjto44wv.jpg

Jess was lovely though and both me and Dane had a chat with him about when he last toured with cKy, how they played Download years before and even about what he was doing that night after the show. I even recommend some bars in town for him to go and drink at. It was awesome and he signed my ticket as well as having a picture with me.

I went home feeling on top of the world and the 14 year old Nat who was starting to come out of her shell was ecstatic and like nothing could get her down. That’s somewhat how I’ve felt in my 27 year old self since Saturday night… 😛

 photo 1_zps3edmd1sg.png

 photo 2_zpsv7epwuhd.png

OH and you know what? The next day Chad liked a comment I left on one of the videos cKy put up on their Instagram from the gig. This just added to how happy I had felt the night before. Sorry about the obvious phone call that I print screened what Chad liked… I was on the phone to my dad at the time. 😛

That was the biggest thing I wanted to talk about in this post BUT I also want to talk about a couple of other things!

Friday I picked up a new PS4 game as I hadn’t bought myself one since Mafia 3 and Pokemon Moon. I picked up Persona 5 and it’s one I have quickly fallen in love with! I know I love Pokemon but I haven’t been able to get into Moon that much right now sadly… Persona 5 reminds me of Pokemon a little bit to be honest but with an anime element to it. I’ll be writing more about it in my monthly favourites at the start of June but I’ll pop a trailer above so you can see what it’s all about. It came out recently so it hasn’t been out that long, but it’s been out in Japan since September/October last year! :O This seemed to be sold out for a while in the UK as wherever I looked online it either wasn’t available or was only available in limited edition steel cases which cost a FORTUNE! :/

Some good news (not that there is really any bad news in this post… Well not yet anyway!) my lips are finally looking like they’re healed after 3 fucking months of hell, pain and torture! Basically I had angular cheilitis, this whole post here explains what was wrong. After that post however I had to go back to the doctors to get some more treatment as the one I was given worked, but only to fix my eczema. I was given an anti-biotic cream which has worked marvellously! Although this being said the infection did come back and I had to apply the cream again last night. So far it looks like it has healed. I’m hoping so for various reasons…

Due to how sore my lips have been I haven’t been able to wear ANY lip products bar lip balms… Yep no lipsticks at all. I have really missed not being able to wear any and to be honest due to how the infection can contaminate lip products I am now kinda too scared to wear any of my lipsticks in case the infection hasn’t gone or returns… I’m going to give it until June to wear anything else.

Image taken from weheartit.com

As many people will know lipstick is the only make up I really wear and due to this it’s my “thing” especially since I’ve dug deeper into it and experimented with it by wearing darker colours. If there’s a lipstick I really miss wearing it’s definitely got to be my MAC lipsticks, which I am craving to wear lately. I really fucking sucks.

You watch though, as soon as I start wearing my lip products again I’ll be writing ALL THE LIPSTICK POSTS! 😛

I don’t think I really made a post about this but me and Dane are going on holiday in September! YAY! We’re both super excited for it as we weren’t planning on going on holiday until we could afford to go to Japan. My parents were kind enough to offer to pay for us to go and have it as an early Christmas present. Of course we need to get our own spending money but that isn’t a problem! We have already started saving and we’re doing really well so far. EEEP SO EXCITED! By the way, we’re going to Fuerteventura again. 😛

Speaking of “holidays” me and Dane were going to book ourselves a short couple of day trip to London for our anniversary but sadly we aren’t going to now… We got super excited about all the places we would go and visit, as well as places to go shopping and have food at. The reasons for not going ahead with it are money, money and money.

Not only do we have our holiday to think about and save up for but we also have bills to think of. I have my car insurance to renew again soon and of course having our own house isn’t cheap… So yeah.

We can always go to London at the end of the year around Christmas time, or in the New Year for my birthday. 🙂

This is another bit of good news! I’ve started to be more active on my Twitter and Instagram pages which of course is good news! I was really anxious with using Instagram for my blog to be honest due to all the hashtags and well dickheads on there. 😛 Sadly due to this I won’t be putting any pictures of myself on there. The only place I do that is on my personal Instagram page, which is private. 😛

Don’t forget if you want to give me a follow on either of those accounts it’s @maybeecoffee for Twitter and @theremightbecoffeeblog for Instagram.

Finally I want to talk about what makes this life lately post a roller coaster… My mental health isn’t good right now. It’s actually gotten bad enough that I am seeking getting counselling… Again. Urgh. Also that picture by The Latest Kate is so accurate for how I feel in life right now… I just wish I could think that way when I have bad days.

Image taken from The Latest Kate

This isn’t something I was expecting to have to do ever again and whilst my mental health isn’t bad in suicidal sense (although I DO feel suicidal from time to time… Yuck.) but bad in the sense my anxiety is just awful right now. I’m constantly overthinking things from work, home, friends, everything to be honest. I’ve been worse to be honest but it’s bad this time in the sense it is affecting my health. Even my doctor has told  me due to stress and anxiety my bodies immune system is down. Not good.

So yeah. The few people I have spoken to about this has all said how proud they are of me for accepting that I need to do this for myself right now. I just hope it helps to be able to talk to someone. I feel like I bug my best friend Gab (hey! *waves*) and Dane with my problems… Even though deep down I know I don’t.

I’ll be keeping you guys updated with that stuff anyway to be honest. 🙂

Other than that everything is… Weird. It’s a mixture of good and shit right now. I’m living for the good though! I’m trying to just live for the moment and have the best time I can with Dane. We both have a week off together soon so we can celebrate our anniversary. I don’t think we’ll be doing all that much other than going out for a couple of adventures, see some friends and chill out at home. 🙂

Well my coffee is now bone cold and although I like cold coffee I think that means this post is over. 😛

How have my lovely readers lives been lately? Drop me a tweet about how you’re doing, or comment down below. Either way I’m happy with! I love getting comments and tweets. They make me happy. ^_^

I hope you all enjoyed today’s read and I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Until next time take care all!

The Geeky Girl Tag

Good morning all I hope you’re well! It’s nearly the weekend now and I thought it would be nice to do a tag post so that newer readers can get to know a little bit about me. As well as that a couple of weeks ago I hosted my first Twitter chat which went better than I could have hoped! It was geeky themed, so what better tag to take part in than a geeky one! 😀

I found this tag  over on Marvel Steph’s blog. You can check out her answers on her post here.

So on with the tag!

1. What is your must-have tech gadget?
Got to be my iPhone 6. It just does so much stuff and I use it for so much of late including blog related work, shopping, talking with friends. What more do I need to say really?

2. Which house do you belong to in Hogwarts?
Urgh a Harry Potter question… I’m not a Harry Potter geek, not because it isn’t any good but just because I’m more into my Japanese related stuff, a big example being Pokemon. Whenever I’ve taken tests though online for fun I’m either Hufflepuff or Gryffindor.

3. Who is your favourite Doctor?
Urgh another question about something I have no interest in… I’m not a Doctor Who fan at all! It’s really not my thing. The only episode I have ever watched was the Adipose because they’re just so damn cute! 😀

4. If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be?
I’d want to go and have tea and cake with the K-ON! girls and then watch them play some songs! ^_^

5. What is your gaming system of choice?
It differs really, I mostly use my 2DS but I play my PS4 and the Xbox One too. 🙂

6. If you had a super power, what would it be?
I’d want to be able to disappear, like Simon’s power in Misfits.

Image taken from weheartit.com

7. What is your favourite fantasy world?
I love Bioshock so much for Rapture. It just looks so chilling and haunting but with a beautiful side to it. I also love steampunk fashion behind it. I love when Infinite came out because it gave a new environment to the series, and another gorgeous one at that.

8. If you could be any fictional race, what would you be?
I don’t think I’d be any to be honest… I like being human. 😛

Image taken from weheartit.com

9. Star Trek or Star Wars?
STAR WARS ALL THE WAY!

10. List your top 5 geektastic movies or TV Series.
Movies:
1. Deadpool.
2. Shaun of The Dead.
3. Star Wars.
5. Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit.
TV Series:
1. Stranger Things.
2. Black Mirror.
3. The IT Crowd.
4. Dexter.
5. South Park.

11. List your top 5 favourite video games.
1. Anything Pokemon.
2. South Park: The Stick of Truth.
3. The Lego games.
4. Minecraft.
5. Heavy Rain.

So that was the geeky girl tag! :DI tag all my fellow geeky blogger girls to take part! Please make sure to link your posts in the comments so I can read your answers. ^_^

Until next time take care all and have an awesome weekend! I know I will be, I’m seeing cKy tomorrow. 😀

5 Things To Do When You’re Bedridden

Urgh I don’t even know where to start with this post. I knowwww it’s TMI but whilst I’m writing this (5/5/17) I’ve had gastroenteritis for 48 hours now and you know what? It fucking sucks!

Due to said virus I have been bedridden for a few days, only moving from bed today because the washing up needed doing… Urgh. Yesterday however I stayed in bed all day and I didn’t move unless it was to venture to the kitchen or the bathroom. Today hasn’t been as bad, although I’m feeling really rough at the moment.

So I thought I would write a list of 5 things you can do when you’re poorly and stuck in bed all day!

Image taken from weheartit.com

1. Binge on TV shows you’ve never watched before, or YouTuber’s you’ve recently discovered.

This is definitely one I did all day yesterday (and a little today…) and it was definitely one of my favourite things to do in the day. I’ve never watched Daria in my life until now and I really don’t get why I never had. Everyone I know had told me to watch it because they obviously knew I could relate to Daria. I wish she was a real person, we’d be best friends. xD

As well as binge watching Daria I’ve also been catching up with a YouTube channel I discovered about a month ago called The Crane Couple. They basically go around parts of California (where I assume they’re from…) and recently Japan on a holiday and play arcade games and catch prize in crane machines. This sounds dumb but it’s actually really relaxing to watch! It’s something I find myself watching when getting ready for work in the mornings and settling down to bed in the evenings. Of course due to being ill I’ll been watching them in bed when relaxing. I’ve pretty much caught up now and I love it!

2.  Do something creative that you enjoy.

This can be all sorts to be honest and obviously something you’ll be comfortable doing. At the moment I’m at the start of a project I decided to do for the house, which is cross stitching a massive piece to put in our coffee table. This is the first piece for it which is Haku in dragon form from Spirited Away. I started it a couple of Saturday’s ago but due to being busy I stopped working on it, only picking it up due to being stuck in bed with nothing better to do. I’ve since added some more colour to him since I took this picture. I need to finish it, which I’ll probably do after I write this post… If I don’t fall to sleep that is. 😛

Some other ideas of what you could do is write some blog posts, either by hand or on your laptop. That’s if you’re a blogger. If not get some creative juices flowing and write a story!

You could do some knitting, or crochet. Maybe even some art. Speaking of art you probably have loads of those colouring books lying around don’t you? With at least half a dozen pages left? Well dig them out and get colouring! Make sure to get a good TV show or film on in the background and you’re great to go for a couple of hours. The possibilities are endless with this one though!

Image taken from weheartit.com

3. Have a mini pamper.

Sadly when I did mine earlier today it didn’t quite look like this… I wish it could have of course! I don’t care if this sounds grim but due to how bad I was yesterday I didn’t shower all day… Disgusting, I know. 😛 In the end Dane made me get into the shower today, which I’m glad about as it did help me feel better. I did want a nice Lush bath but meh that wasn’t happening! I constantly worried that I’d be soaking in the bath and then feel the urge to throw up or erm… Poop… Yeah that wasn’t happening. LUCKILY that didn’t happen in the shower earlier today! I washed my hair, scrubbed my face, scrubbed my skin and shaved (WITWOO GET ME! :P). Then when I got out I popped on some moisturising socks and chilled with Dane for a while. Before I got in the shower I decided to paint my nails, which I loved. This wasn’t a huge pampering session for me but the few little things I did different (just the nail polish and the foot socks… yawn…) cheered me up a little.

4. Drink plenty of fluids… AKA water and Lucozade Energy.

I know this isn’t something special to do but you honestly need to. Whether you’re being sick or pooping you need to keep your fluids up… Which is rich coming from me. I swear I drink more when I’m well than when I’m sick. Lucozade is a Godsend for me, always has been and always will. It used to be my go to hangover cure and it’s definitely something I drink when I feel poorly or need some energy. I usually opt for the original or pink lemonade but Dane bought me some orange, which I couldn’t complain at…

If you don’t have Lucozade then your tap is your best friend! I find having my Starbucks sippy cup by my bed has helped… But sadly it doesn’t last long and I found myself crawling to the bathroom quite often to get water. Speaking of I really should have a drink… Sip Sip Sip.

5. Finally and this is important! Make sure you have a slave… 😛

This of course is a joke but if you’re really bad then having someone look after you is always great. Even though for the majority he was at work, when he was at home Dane was great. He cooked me something to eat yesterday evening and made sure I was okay throughout the day. He did the same today as well and kept me company for most of the afternoon whenever he could. This is a jokey point though! Some people aren’t lucky enough to have someone around to look after them, of course I am. This being said I cooked dinner for us today… 😛 So technically I was the slave! Now I’m suffering again! 😛

This was such a random post but it made me laugh to write to be honest, especially the last two pictures I added to the post 😛 I hope it made people laugh too, that was the intention! A bit of a jokey yet serious post… In the sense of I was bored yesterday and today and was going crazy for shit to do! I was so good to hold myself off from window shopping online. 😛

What do you do when you’re poorly and stuck in bed? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time take care all and I hope you’re not poorly like I am. 😉

Barry M Molten Metals Nail Paint in Holographic Nights – Review

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 24 33 pm_zpsgjk1twob.jpg

Oh man I have fast turned into a holographic queen and years ago when I wanted holographic goodies they were never available, which sucked! It’s a nice change that now there’s a little more on the high street, both fashion and beauty.

Recently Barry M got onto the holographic nail craze that has been around forever in the Indie world. People have only just recently gotten into the craze…

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 24 39 pm_zpsuo1rycyl.jpg

Alongside the new shades they recently added to their Molten Metals collection, they included Holographic Nights, a silver holographic shade. People have gone crazy for it, including myself and I couldn’t wait to pick it up recently.

I heard of it coming out back in February but I completely forgot about it until last week when I was in Boots. I picked it up on their 2 for £7 offer with another Molten Metals polish. As soon as I got home I took off my previous nail polish and stuck this one on! I knew I had to review it a few days later, I haven’t fallen in love with a nail polish so much for quite a long time. I really hope you enjoy the review and find it helpful!

This isn’t the second holographic nail polish I have owned, the previous being by GOSH and is one that was limited edition at the time it was released. I’m going back years now and as bad as it sounds I still own it. It was a gorgeous polish and went on with one maybe two coats… But it peeled off hours later, which sucked! Since then I have wanted to get my hands on another holographic nail polish which wouldn’t do this. I haven’t 100% found it yet, but for a high street holographic polish this comes in pretty close.

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 25 07 pm_zpss541iadm.jpg

First of all when I picked this up in Boots I thought I had picked up the silver shade in this collection. They look very alike and I’ve read on social media how loads of people have made this mistake and been disappointed. This was a surprise for me to be honest as you would think the rainbow of the holographic would be obvious, but alas it is not. It’s not very easy to see in the bottle unless in the right lighting. The same can also somewhat be said about when it’s on the nails too… But I’ll go into that in more detail.

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 25 59 pm_zpsu5k95vr8.jpg

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 26 13 pm_zpsyyuhlqxd.jpg

One thing I love about the Molten Metals collection is how thick the brushes are for them all! It means you don’t need to keep applying loads of little coats with a thinner brush. Instead you only need one or two strokes of colour applied, which is great! I have small nails so this means I only need two or three max.

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 28 53 pm_zpshni9xhaj.jpg

One coat

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 33 39 pm_zpsatu370v9.jpg

Two coats

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 38 43 pm_zpsb2w1akrx.jpg

Three coats

The pigmentation of the polish is amazing though to be honest and I found with 3 coats that I had a really good finish to my nails, which had that gorgeous holographic rainbow on show in the right light!

I found when applying this that you only need one generous dip into the bottle to get an even coverage on each nail. It’s not a thick formula and is pretty thin, but don’t let that fool you! This nail polish really does pack a punch. It also dries really quickly so applying those 3 coats went by really quickly!

I tried to apply it over a black nail polish at first to see if it showed off the rainbow colours better and if anything it made it worse, so applying straight to the nail was perfect.

I wore this for a week and during that week both me and Dane were working hard on the house and even went and visited some friends on their farm! Whilst I didn’t do any hard work the polish still lasted amazingly which I really happy about. This is without a base or a top coat by the way.

I also worried that this would be a bitch to remove due to the holographic side of it, but alas it was really easy to remove which I was really happy about!

I watch and read a lot of reviews on Indie brands and their holographic nail polishes and whilst Holographic Nights isn’t up to their standard it is absolutely amazing for a high street nail polish and it’s the first of it’s kind to do something so well! I know Boots Natural Collection used to have a holographic nail polish… (looks online to see if they still do…) I can’t actually work out if they do… Which is a shame!

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 39 00 pm_zpsolalkawh.jpg

 photo Photo 30-04-2017 1 39 13 pm_zpshrokyijd.jpg

Overall I love this nail polish so much and it’s definitely a shade people have been calling out for for quite some time now. It’s amazing that Barry M has opened the horizons for holographic shades. I really hope they see how much people want this and release more shades. I’d love to see a black holographic polish out next.

I just wish I could wear this for work now, it really sucks! I definitely already know I’ve found my nail polish for the whole year now, as well as for mine and Dane’s holiday. 😛

You can pick this up now in both Boots and Superdrug for £3.99 each, or 2 for £7 in Boots on the Molten Metals collection. If you’re really eager to get one do it quick as these sell out fast apparently.

Have you tried Holographic Nights yet? If so what did you think of it? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time take care all and I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend so far.

May Wish List ’17

I swear this months wish list should be called “holographic/metallic wish list!” as most of the items on here are just that. That and holiday related items too. As I mentioned in one of my posts recently, me and Dane are going on holiday this year which is super exciting! I didn’t mean to find so much holographic and holiday related stuff to be honest… I kind of just ended up stumbling upon stuff out of boredom last week… Oops! 😛 Oh well, it makes for some reading today for you guys. ^_^

 photo May Wish List 17_zpstbxxqwbn.jpg

  • New Look Turquoise Metallic Lattice Longline Bikini Top – £16.99 (link)
  • New Look Turquoise Metallic Tie Side Bikini Bottoms – £12.99 (link)

I discovered this bikini recently through a Google search whilst looking for holographic/metallic bikinis. I don’t really need a new bikini but I wouldn’t mind picking up a new one for my holiday in September. This is gorgeous and is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before to be honest. Not only does the design of this look unique and have a grunge style to it (which I LOVE!) but it’s also a beautiful turquoise metallic colour which is the perfect holiday and beach colour. Although this is gorgeous and probably my perfect bikini for Fuerteventura it’s kind of impractical for sunbathing in due to the lattice design. Due to this I’d probably use this mostly for popping down to the beach and on very hot days to the shops. Of course I would pick up both the top and bottoms. I’ll definitely be buying these on payday next week so I don’t miss out the chance of getting them!

  • Your Lie in April Part 2 Limited Edition Blu-ray – £44.99 (link)

I LOVE Your Lie in April and especially around the start of the year when I first started watching the anime series, as well as reading the manga. Since then I’ve finished the manga and been awaiting part 2 of the blu-ray to come out and be added to my collection. I haven’t actually finished watching the anime yet as I wanted to binge watch it all on the blu-rays with Dane, so of course I am really excited to be able to finally do this!

  • New Look Silver Holographic Mini Backpack – £17.99 (link)

I don’t NEEEEED a new backpack but it never hurts to add a new addition to your collection… Does it? I’ve owned backpacks similar to this from New Look before and they’re definitely some of the best ones I’ve owned to be honest. They’re comfortable, look great and are a bargain for how much wear you get from them. I really am on a holographic kick at the moment, like a holographic magpie so I couldn’t help but eye up this backpack. I’d love to try and pick it up in the sale (if it goes into sale obviously) before I go on holiday, but we’ll see what happens. I’d want to try and cutesy this bag up by popping a couple of badges on it and some cute Japanese gatchapon keyrings.

  • Truffle Collection Truffle Flatform Holographic Sliders – £14.00 (link)

Again I was looking for some holiday ideas and the first thing I thought to search for was (yet again!) holographic themed items. I found this flatform sandals and I’m unsure what I think of them to be honest. I don’t love them enough to buy them as soon as possible for the holiday, but I don’t know if I hate them enough to not warrant myself buying them at all. I would love another pair of shoes to take with me to wear around the house, to the beach and in the evenings as something light but I have my flip flops to do that. I’m definitely more of a Vans slip on trainer and flip flop girl when it comes to going to Fuerteventura. If these went to a dirt cheap price I’d definitely pick them up as they’d be great to wear casual in the day and dressed up in the evening a little. I think what puts me off the most is that they’re white. Black would have been SOOOO much better!

  • Forever 21 Holographic Windbreaker Jacket – £24.00 (link)

When I saw this jacket it just reminded me of the 90’s and of the style of jackets my mom and brother used to wear… But not holographic obviously. 😛 For the final time on this blog post I’ll be talking about something holographic… I do apologise about how much stuff there is on here that’s either that or metallic. Again due to the holiday I was having a look around to see what else I could find on Forever 21’s website to buy in the future and this jacket looks cool! I’d want to pick it up to wear over the summer, as well as for the holiday. As cool as the turquoise colour is I don’t know if the jacket itself would look good or even feel comfortable. I’d want to go in store and have a look at this first before buying it, or at least read a handful of reviews.

  • Good Smile Company K-ON! Yui Hirasawa Nendoroid – Prices vary depending where you buy.

Finally we come to the last item on this list and it’s one that me and Dane both want to try and find next month! We were really naughty this month Nendoroid wise and bought quite a lot in one go. We’re part of a Nendoroid group on Facebook and someone on there was selling all of her K-ON! collection so erm… We bought all of the ones we needed. We picked up four out of five she was selling which means the only girl we need now is Yuki! She’s the main character of K-ON! and is Dane’s favourite character. We’ll try and keep our eyes peeled for someone else on that group to sell a Yui Nendoroid or we’ll end up buying a new or second hand one from Japan. These Nendoroid figures came out years ago, not long after they started being made so they’re not as easy to get a hold of now, but this being said they’re cheaper.

So that’s my wish list for this month! I really need to stop spending money now and put it in savings to have towards the holiday. I don’t really want anymore manga at the moment so I’ll definitely be saving money not buying those. I’ll also be saving money not buying much else too because besides the stuff on this list I don’t want anything. 😛

What items do you have on your wish lists? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and I hope you’re having a great week.

April Favourites ’17

Easter holidays are over, all the chocolate eggs have been sold or are still on sale in the shops, and Mini Eggs won’t be back until New Year… This is the saddest thing for me. I fucking love Mini Eggs! 😛

But we’re into May now and happy May Day! I’m off work for a change and I intend to spend the day doing sod all and chilling out with Dane. I might make us sausage and mash… Love it!

ANYWAY! With a new month of course comes my monthly posts, including my favourites. April was a funny month, but I discovered a lot of new items this month gone and luckily stuff I needed… Not just buying for the sake of it. 😛

  • Imperial Leather Marshmallow Shower Cream.

I’ve used this in the past and I’m pretty sure it has featured on my monthly favourites before. It being featured on here again just shows what an amazing product it is! I actually forgot how good it was until I recently started using it again. It smells beautiful and leaves your skin not only smelling yummy but feeling lovely and soft too. For only a £1 you cannot go wrong!

  • Vaseline Lip Therapy with Cocoa Butter.

It’s shit to admit but my lips are STILL bad. Well they appear to be on the mend now and better than before but still bad… Urgh. I finally got some decent answers from two doctors recently and was given the right treatments. Alongside using the treatment creams I’ve also been slathering on this Vaseline in between applications to keep my lips nice and moist… Ew I hate that word but it’s the only word I can use right now and it be accurate. This tub is for around the house, as I bought an aloe vera one for out on the go and for work. I don’t like that one as much as the cocoa butter though to be honest. I find the smell to be fresh, but that doesn’t apply when on the lips. I feel like the cocoa butter scent is lovely both in the jar and when applied to the lips. You can never go wrong with cocoa butter to be fair! I love this better than the original Vaseline though to be honest! 😀

  • Boots Essentials Cucumber Eye Gel.

I needed a new eye gel last month and wanted to make sure to get something that would cool my eyes whilst hydrating them throughout the day. I wouldn’t usually go for a low budget eye gel due to the whole, “It’s not going to do sod all…” but I thought for £1.50 it wouldn’t break the bank to give it a whirl! I hate eye creams and have always opted to buying gels if I can. This one is amazing and really does soothe and cool tired eyes either in the morning before work or after a long day in the evening. Either way I love this and I think I’ll end up buying another soon for mine and Dane’s holiday in September!

  • Barry M Molten Metal Nail Paint in shade Copper Mine.

When I was off work during April I decided to paint my nails as due to the job I do I’m not allowed to wear it whilst working. I have a couple of these Molten Metal polishes but this one is my favourite. I find the copper shade suits my yellow skin tone the best and it just looks gorgeous too. The formula is lovely and it lasts ages before chipping! Even whilst doing loads of work on the house last week it hardly chipped. This was without a top coat too! I’ll be reviewing these very soon as they deserve a review. I plan to get myself the new holographic shade that recently came out. These are on 2 for £7 at the moment so I’ll be getting that and another shade.

  • Radox Feel Heavenly Bath Soak with Coconut & Milk.

Finally we have a bubble bath on my monthly favourites. I still use my Lush products, don’t get me wrong but more often than not I find if I overuse them it actually causes more harm to my body than good. That and I try to make my money last at the moment. ANYWAY! This bath soak was bought on a whim that I wanted something nice and light to use on days off work and before bed. This is a gorgeous bubble bath where a little bit goes a long way, but I always add a generous amount to my bath to create LOADS of bubbles. I always find this leaves my skin lovely and soft after use. It’s amazing.

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – Sirens (UK version).

This is a show I recently started to re-watch. It was out YEARS ago… (looks on Wikipedia) Holy shit 2011 was when this show first aired. I feel old. Very old. ANYWAY! As the title may give away this show is about 3 paramedics and it shows what they get up to during their shifts. It also shows a couple of members of the Police and Fire Service too. This is fiction I’ll have you know and is actually a comedy. I love it so much though, it just makes me laugh. There are some serious notes in it however and with that it does remind me of Only Fools and Horses. One moment it can be side splitting funny and the next bringing a tear to your eye. If you’ve never watched it and you fancy giving it a go then I think you’re only options now are going to be watching it online for free, or as a shitty YouTube upload. I’m being naughty and watching it online for free… Hey! I’d buy it if I could!

Favourite Film – Your Name (Kimi no Na wa).

Last month me and Dane went to go and watch this after he found out it was showing in the Mockingbird cinema in Birmingham’s Custard Factory. He booked it that day and that evening we were off to watch it. Oh my God it wasn’t even what I was expecting it to be to be honest. I knew what the basic plot was for the film but it has a lot of twists and such throughout the film. I don’t want to talk too in depth as I worry it could spoil the film for anyone who hasn’t seen it. You can watch a trailer here if you like the sound of it. BUT to be honest if you haven’t heard about it by now, whether you’re an anime fan or not then where have you been hiding? It keeps being spoken about how it’s the best anime film for quite some time. 😛

Favourite Book – K-ON!

As regular readers of my blog will know I have been reading nothing but manga since the start of the year and whilst it is an expensive thing to keep on top of, it is so damn worth it! I recently purchased all of the K-ON manga to read and whilst I am only somewhat through the series, I am in love with it. It’s just great to see some of my new favourite anime characters come to life on the pages of the manga as well as through the anime series. I’ll be reviewing in the future!

Favourite Songs – George Michael “Freedom! 90” and “Careless Whisper”.

This is kind of random I suppose but a few nights ago I just started listening to songs from the 00’s… Which led to songs from the 90’s and for some reason that then led me to listen to some of George Michael’s best singles. Of course he died at the end of last year which was a real shame. He was a talented guy in every way! I have always had a place for “Freedom! 90” and I don’t know why… I especially love the music video as I think it’s so clever, alongside the song as a dig at the music industry. 😛 Thanks to Deadpool now whenever I hear “Careless Whisper” I just think of Ryan Reynolds singing it at the end of the film. HA! 😛 BUT instead of popping either of the songs mentioned above I thought I would attach Seether’s cover of “Careless Whisper”. It’s amazing in my eyes and they did a really good job!

Favourite game – TsumTsum.

This is a game I have owned for as long as I’ve had my iPhone 6 to be honest… I remember when I went on holiday with my dad in November 2015 playing it whenever we were near a WiFi connection! ANYWAY… This is a game I have been playing nonstop this month and it’s one I always forget that I love to play. It’s a game that you can actually pay to play in Japan as an actual arcade game. I would love to play it like that! I’ve attached a video above of Sharla playing it! It’s just a great, free and relaxing game to play. It’s one of those where you need to match up 3 plus of the same Disney character to get rid of them, get a high score, coins etc. With those coins you can buy new characters etc. If you love Disney and love the Tsum Tsum’s then you’ll love this!

So those were my favourites from April! I can’t believe how quickly the year is going by though to be perfectly honest. Next month me and Dane will have been in our house for a year and I don’t know if I like that or if it scares me a little. Time is going wayyyyy too fast and I don’t think I like that. It also means next month marks our four year anniversary which IS exciting and I don’t mind that. 😛 It does feel like we’ve been together longer mind.

What products were you loving throughout April? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time take care all and I hope you have a lovely bank holiday Monday. I know I will be. 😛
