August Favourites ’22

How quickly did August go? Too bloody quickly if you ask me! I can’t believe it’s almost September already, as well as August bank holiday. I’ve started my long weekend doing sweet FA, aside from writing this blog post. ๐Ÿ˜›

This month was an up and down month, with some positives and negatives, so I am semi looking forward to September for many reasons. For a start, it’s my favourite time of year with autumn starting, but we also have some stuff booked too, which we’re excited for! I’m also hopeful that the month will cool down so I can meet up with some online friends for coffee, shopping and maybe yummy Asian food too!

With that, let’s get into my favourites from August!

Beauty โ€“ Fenty Skin Cherry Treat Lip Conditioning Oil.

I can’t tell you guys how long it took me to get this bloody lip oil! I’d heard about it through Instagram and then when watching reviews I was hooked on snagging it myself! I mentioned on my August wish list post how I’d ordered it after it came into stock. Not only was I checking the listing on the Boots website daily for it to come back into stock, but also which stores nearby had it in stock too! On a day out with my dad to Stratford-upon-Avon we popped into a Boots store that stated it was in stock, only for there to be none left, BOO! Finally the lip oil did come back into stock so I ordered one. Since it arrived, I’ve been using is almost daily. It smells like sour cherry sweets, is easy to apply and the conditioning feel lasts for hours! I find it use it at work mostly, as well as when I’m out and about. I’ve definitely become a lip oil fan and plan to try more in the future! ALSO please excuse the dust on the shelf in the photo, it’s cleaning day tomorrow. ๐Ÿ˜›

TV Show – Adventure Time.

Recently I’ve decided I wanted to binge watch Adventure Time again, well, at least the first two seasons as this is how far I got originally. To get the Blu-ray it would have cost me a lot more than I was willing to pay at the time, so instead we decided to get a NOW TV subscription, so now I have until the end of the year/a year to watch all ofย Adventure Time! I’m currently on season five at the time of writing this post and I’m discovering more about Finn, Jake and the Land of Ooo, which I’m really enjoying! I find myself binge watching it whenever I want something to relax to and watch, including cross stitch, writing for my blog, whilst I work from home, and cooking. If you love animation like I do, and, are yet to watch Adventure Time, please give it a go! My favourite character is Lumpy Space Princess, hence the gif. ๐Ÿ˜›

Music – Beyoncรฉ “BREAK MY SOUL”.

I heard the new Beyoncรฉ song a couple of weeks ago thanks to Instagram and I’ve really fallen in love with it since! Sometimes it comes on whilst I drove home from work and I can really relate to it some days. ๐Ÿ˜› I just really enjoy it as a song, some of the lyrics, but especially the beat. It’s so good! ๐Ÿ˜€

Book – Lore Olympus.

Lore Olympus is a web comic series I was into back in 2018 when it first came out, but I stopped reading it after a while due to one reason or another. A couple of weekends ago I found out that Lore Olympusย had released omnibus comics of the series! I decided to order it last week in order to read over the weekend and so far I’ve really been loving it! I ordered volumes one and two, with three on pre-order. I’ve read volume one so far, and I’m yet to start reading two. I’m hoping to over the bank holiday weekend as the series is addictive!ย Lore Olympusย is a romance comic of a modernised Greek mythology retelling of the relationship between Persephone and Hades. It definitely has some adult themes, but I honestly love it! I’ve linked the web comic, so if you fancy a read definitely go and check it out! ๐Ÿ˜€

Game – LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

I decided to pick up the latest LEGO Star Wars game as I had a ยฃ10 voucher for Amazon and had had my eye on this since it came out in April. Since buying this me and Dane have been playing it on and off since and it’s been something lovely to play together during weekends off, as well as in the evenings after work. My only gripe with it is how buggy it plays sometimes, which on the first day of playing really pissed us off! Thankfully since then we haven’t noticed it as much, which in turn has made it a lot more fun to play! If you play the original LEGOย Star Warsย games, then you should definitely get this one! It’s better than ever now and it’s so much fun too, as you get to spend blue bricks and money on upgrading your characters, which is something new to me for LEGO games.

Just a few of my favourite things…

OkieDoodleStitches Pokemon Eevee cross stitch is COMPLETED!

Last month I told you all about my latest cross stitch project, which was Eevee by OkieDoodleStitches. Well, last weekend I finally finished it and it looks so damn cute, as I’m sure you’ll agree from the above photo! This took me a couple of months to complete, but it was so worth it! I found myself getting lost whilst working on this, as well as binge watching a variety of shows (Adventure Time, Inventing Anna, and The Dog Rescuers to name a few!), which in turn has been really helpful for my mental health. I’m planning to pop this in a frame at some point to put up in the house at some point. I’ve already started my next cross stitch project, but I won’t be showing that on my blog for quite some time, as it’s a Christmas present. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yuena Art haul.

I decided to place a cheeky enamel pin order with Yuena Art recently as I noticed one of the pins I really wanted was looking to sell out soon, and I didn’t want to worry I’d regret not getting it. The pin design I was after was mainly Yui the Kitsune, but I did love the look of Shino and Diana too! These are all either b-grade or seconds pins, but you wouldn’t know it as the quality of them all is really good! I’m yet to give them a home, but I definitely need to sort through my enamel pin collection(s) again!

Exciting figure pre-orders!

August was definitely a month of ordering figures, Nendoroid but also Hobby Max figures for the first time too! I wanted to show off a few I’m really excited about. I don’t feel like I talk about figures and our collecting of them enough on my blog, but it’s something I’d like to do more! First of all, I decided to pre-order the Hobby Max Nana Osaki and Komatsu figures. Nana is probably my favourite manga/anime series so I couldn’t really pass up not ordering these, even though they weren’t cheap, but worth it 100% as they’ll make me so happy to display in our house. Second of all I ordered Marin from My Dress Up Darling, an anime and manga series I’ve really fallen in love with this year! I’m so excited for this Nendoroid to be released! She’ll be going somewhere special as me and Dane love the series together!

So there we have it guys, my favourites from August! I still can’t believe it’s September soon, and before we know it, it’ll be Christmas. :O

What were your favourite things about August? Anything you can relate to from my favourites? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, have an amazing rest of your August bank holiday and as always, take care!

August Wish List ’22

We’re already a week into August, I can’t believe it! This weekend for me has been really nice and I’m quite grateful, I’ve needed something to cheer me up after how shite July felt. August is full of lots of time off for me and Dane which will be really nice, even if we don’t do much, just having time to relax together will be nice.

For example, Friday I went out with my dad for the day and yesterday me and Dane spent pretty much all day playing LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which is so much fun! After my blog post is live, we’re planning to play this all day again and cook a yummy dinner.

Anyhoo, I’ve ordered some of the bits on my monthly wish list, which I’ll mention when it comes to talking about the item(s) in question. Some of the items I’m waiting to go down in price, and more, but as always I’ll talk about it on each item.

I hope everyone else has had a good start to August! On with this months wish list post!

  • Fearless Illustration Molly Smock Dress – (link)

This is a dress I’ve been after for what feels like forever. I’m waiting for it to go down in price, or appear on Depop/Vinted before I buy. I own on smock dress from Fearless Illustration which is incredibly comfortable! I really do love wearing my smock dresses these days as they’re incredibly comfortable for all seasons and if anything, I’ve been wearing them more and more for work lately. If I was to pick this dress up, I’d wear it for work as well as in general as the design is really simple with the large hearts.

  • Noodoll Ricespud Super Giant Plush – (link)

This is a plush I’ve been after a while, in its smaller form, but when I saw they brought out the giant version I had to share it with you all today! I don’t think I’d buy the giant version, not going to lie as I don’t have the room, but look how adorable it is! This looks like an amazing plush for snuggling into after a long day. I’d still love the smaller version though. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • YuenaShop Enamel Pins Yui the Kitsune, Shino, and Mythical Witch Diana – (link), (link), and (link)

These are some Animal Crossing fan design enamel pins I’ve ordered, as Yui the Kitsune is one that has been on my wish list on Etsy for as long as I can remember. It was due to sell out from what I could see, so I decided to place an order in case I missed out, but as YuenaShop is based in the United States I wanted to make the shipping costs worth it. I decided to order three enamel pins, Yui, Shino and Diana. Yui is an original character that is inspired by a Kitsune, Shino the deer villager whose outfit reminds me of Demon Slayer and then Diana who is dressed up as a witch! I’m really excited to get them by the end of the month now to display on one of my pin flags!

  • Fenty Skin Cherry Treat Lip Conditioning Oil – (link)

This is something I’ve ordered earlier today and I’m so excited for it! I’ve been on the hunt for it for a while now, but Boots hasn’t had it in stock. I ventured to a Boots store on Friday to see if they had it still (stated online the store had it in stock) and they’d sold out! Thankfully this morning when I had a nose online they have some back, so I used my Advantage Points to get one! I’m really excited for this to arrive! I find some days I don’t want to wear lip products, but I know if I throw this in my bag on office days I’ll make sure to wear it. ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s said to smell really delicious and leave a nice pink tint behind.

  • Truly Heartful Nana Osaki Plush – (link)

Finally we have another plush to mention this month, but this is one of Nana Osaki, one of my favourite manga/anime characters! So, to see someone has created a plush of her has made me so happy! I don’t know if/when I’ll buy this, as it isn’t exactly cheap, but it’s definitely an item I’ll keep eyes peeled on in the future to potentially get. ๐Ÿ™‚ I honestly love Nana, so to own a plush of her would be amazing.

So, there we have it, my wish list for August! I like to think there’s been a good variety of goodies mentioned this month! What do you like the look of from my wish list, as well as what’s on your own wish lists? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend!

Ocean In Space Nana Patreon Exclusive Print – Review

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m so excited for a bank holiday this weekend! I have a fun day planned with one of my best friends over the bank holiday and I’m so READY for it! I’ve officially broken up for the long weekend now and wanted to spend the start of it writing about a brand I purchased a Nana item from recently. Those who know me, or have been around my blog or social media a long time (Twitter/Instagram) will know how much I LOVE Nana.

Ocean In Space is an independent artist/store I’ve known about for quite a while now but she especially came to my attention at the start of July when people were sharing a post on Instagram, which was a Nana print she’d designed. I was in awe of it and KNEW I had to buy! I’ve always wanted a Nana print to pop in a frame and hang in the bedroom/office, but I’ve never managed to find one I liked and was able to ship to the UK… Until now. ๐Ÿ˜›

I got it through Ocean In Space’s Patreon as it was an exclusive for backers for the month of July. I backed as soon as I could and towards the end of July my print arrived. Since then I’ve been DYING to share it with you guys.

I don’t know what it is… But I feel like through COVID a lot more people have discovered and fallen in love with Nana! I’ve seen it spoken about and plenty of fan art and fan made merchandise being shared and brought out on Instagram. I’m not complaining on bit. Nana was one of the first anime and manga series I watched and read and I’m still heartbroken neither of them are completed.

Get yourselves a hot drink (or an Asahi beer like Nana Osaki :P) now because this post is going to be a good and long one, especially for Nana fans. ๐Ÿ˜›

Nana is a manga series that ran between 2000-2009 before it went on an indefinite hiatus and is by Ai Yazawa. Yazawa both wrote and illustrated the manga series of Nana, I’m unsure about the anime. The reason for the hiatus is said to be due to Yazawa suffering health problems.

Nana is about two women of the same name (Nana, obviously) who meet whilst stuck on a train that is heading to Tokyo. Nana Komatsu is moving to Tokyo to be with her boyfriend and friends, whereas Nana Osaki is moving to Tokyo to kick start her career as a singer in a punk rock band. The two Nana’s lose each other after departing the train, but are joined together again when they both view the same apartment. As the apartment is meant for more than one person to live in, they decided to share it together and become roommates.

The series goes on to show how their friendship blossoms, as well as their relationships and how they impact each others lives. It’s an amazing series and I recommend it to everyone I talk to about manga and anime. Be warned though, it has heavy adult themes, some which have been discussed in a lot more detail lately. I won’t go into them too much, you can soon Google.

Now I’ve spoken about whatย Nanaย is about, I want to talk about Ocean In Space and the beautiful print.

Below is taken from Ocean In Space’s website:

Ocean In Space began in 2015 after I decided to make a t-shirt for myself. After an overwhelming amount of positive feedback online, I decided to start making them for other people as well! Ocean In Space was born from my love for all things bright, colourful, and happy. My #1 goal is to make people feel happy when they see my work. And what’s better when you can wear it!!

As soon as you venture onto Ocean In Space’s website it is incredibly colourful and you even get to see the artist behind the piece(s) you’re buying too, which I really like!

Via Patreon the print cost me ยฃ15.50, which included shipping too. I could have paid an extra ยฃ4.00 to sign up for the sticker club too, but I have way too many stickers as it is, so I left it… Which I semi regret.

The print came with a special thank you letter, as well as a image of Nana Osaki drawn as a cat (it’s a joke in the series) which I’ll show. It was really lovely to read Ocean In Space’s thoughts about Nana:

I’m super happy NANA won this month because it finally made me bite the bullet and watch the series.

The print itself is stunning and I honestly cannot get enough of how perfect it is. Of course, I’ll be talking about it in more detail. ๐Ÿ˜›

The print reminds me of the 00’s due to the bright colours and the stickers (they remind me of Lisa Frank too), which I love considering when the manga first came out.

Both Nana’s can be seen in a carefree and fun embrace, almost like a selfie sort of pose in a way. Nana Komatsu is the one with the long red hair, dressed in sweet clothing, whilst Nana Osaki is the one with purple short hair, the punk rocker clothing and of course an Asahi beer in hand! I love all of the details added onto both of the girls, but especially Nana Osaki. She loves Vivienne Westwood and has clothing and jewellery from the fashion designer, including the armour ring (something I’ve always wanted because of Nana).

I have one critique of this print, just one. I would have loved to see Nana Osaki’s lotus flower tattoo on her left arm instead of the tartan armband. This tattoo is (in my opinion anyway) a big part of Nana as it’s actually to symbolise her love of Ren. Nana Osaki argues with Nana Komatsu at some point of how it’s a ren flower, so…

Aside from this, the print is beautiful and I do really love it. You know me guys, I like to be honest here. ๐Ÿ™‚

There is even a print of a “rough” sketch of the print as Ocean In Space was working on it, which I think is such a nice touch, especially with stating it was part of the July 2021 Patreon rewards too. You can also watch the process of this print over on Ocean In Space’s Instagram, which I’ll post a link to at the bottom of the post.

Overall I absolutely adore this print and cannot wait to get a frame for it so I can hang it up somewhere in the house. I’m undecided as of yet, but I’m thinking in the office about my desk so I can look at it whenever I need to feel inspired or a pick me up.

As mentioned, I’ll pop the links for Ocean In Space below!

So there we have it, a review of theย Nanaย print that I bought from Ocean In Space’s Patreon page! What do you guys think of this beautiful print? Are you fans of Nana too and managed to snag one of your own? Will you be checking Nana out after me talking about it? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!

Until next time guys, have a lovely evening, as well as an amazing bank holiday!

May Wish List โ€˜21

It’s another month and another wish list! I said this last week on my monthly favourites post, but bloody hell 2021 really is flying by! I can’t believe we’re already into May, a week into May at that! I’m quite excited for what May brings, including some better weather as at the moment the weather has been vile, who agrees with me? This being said, I’ve really needed some rain as my water butt is empty and my flowers need water. ๐Ÿ˜›

I’ve treated myself to quite a few things in May so far, including some goodies from Japan and more. For the rest of the month I’ll be on a spending ban, as I need to start saving up money ready for a new fence to be done! I’m aiming for that to be done by the end of May at the latest!

This post feels like it’s full of a lot of the same stuff, or at least similar, so I do apologise for that. A lot of the stuff I have on my wish list isn’t items I felt the need to write about this month OR I’ve written about them previously.

I’m really after some cute items lately, a lot of which are from America… Hence a lot of monies. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this months wish list!

  • Zambicandy Nana Print (link)

I discovered Zambicandy recently through artist Girthy Boba Straw on Instagram and as a massive fan of Nana, both the manga and anime I have fallen in love with both Girthy Boba Straw’s and Zambicandy’s designs. This print is one I really want in my home above my new desk. The relationship between the two Nana’s is beautiful and although they’re different in their interests, their love lives and goals in life are somewhat similar. I just love them both and this print is perfect, especially with them dressed in their animal forms too!

  • Pandora Disney Lady Charm (link)

As regular readers will know, I LOVE Lady and the Tramp. It’s my favourite Disney film and has been since I was old enough to watch it. I just love Lady and Tramp and how they bring the best out in one another. I already own one Pandora charm of Lady and The tramp as well as the Chamilia’s charms of Lady and Tramp too. So, whilst I don’t really need more… I’ll always add more charms to my bracelet! I think I’m going to treat myself to this charm in June when I’m paid. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Zambicandy Nana Enamel Pin (link)

Zambicandy again but this time it’s a Nana enamel pin! As an enamel pin collector, when I saw this adorable enamel pin of both Nana’s snuggling together under a floral blanket, I fell in love. I’d love to add this to my collection but I’ll be honest, the shipping pries from Zambicandy are shockingly high for the UK! I know this isn’t the sellers fault, but it sucks nonetheless as a UK shopper. $25.50 is more than all three items together in this post so… I’ll be having a big think about this.

  • Blushsprout Animal Crossing Cookie Enamel Pin (link)

I LOVE Blushsprout’s designs. They’re so chibi and cute and designs I really do want to own. I at one point last year backed the froggie ita bag on Kickstarter that had been created, but due to saving monies I ended up cancelling the pledge, which I semi regret… That being said, I LOVE their Animal Crossing enamel pins and would love to own as many of the dog villager designs as possible! Cookie of course is at the top of the list followed by Walker, Lucky, Goldie, Genji and Vesta. As I’ve recently signed up for Blushsprout’s Patreon, not only will I be getting the Lady and the Tramp II Angel enamel pin, but I’ll also use the discount code I get to grab some of the Animal Crossing enamel pins too!

  • Razer x Sanrio Keyboard and Mouse

These are both some major items that I REALLY want to snag soon! These are the Razer x Sanrio keyboard and mouse set that are exclusive to China. I toyed with getting them last year when they first came out, but as I didn’t have a desk at the time, there wasn’t much point. However, now I do have my desk I really would like to get them! I’d definitely like a good mouse for my work laptop and personal and the keyboard would be amazing to use instead of my laptop keyboard on both my work and personal laptops. It would just be cool to get something cute and of a brand name that I know I can trust and love! I’ve asked YY Kawaii if she’s able to get hold of these which she is, so I’m hopeful I can get hold of these sooner rather than later.

  • Zambicandy Nana Sticker (link)

Finally we have one more Zambicandy item to talk about, which is a sticker. Again, this is of both the Nana’s from the manga and anime of the same name. Honestly, I can’t get enough of Nana merch! It’s not something I knew there was much of until the start of this year. I really love this design and out of the three it’s definitely my favourite. I love how both the Nana’s are dressed up in their animal forms, but I especially love the chibi style of them too. I think as and when I go to make an order from Zambicandy I may need to order two of these stickers so I can keep one “nice” and use the other. Does anyone else do this with stickers, or is it just me? ๐Ÿ˜›

So there we have it guys, my monthly wish list! This one was very samey, especially with all the Nana designs mentioned too, which I apologise for.

What do you guys have on your wish lists for the month? Are there any items on my list that you like or own? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and have a great weekend!

The Opposites Book Tag

Jt GIF

Image taken from giphy.com

I don’t feel like I’ve done and taken part in a blog tag for a while now (not going to lie, it was probably just last month… :P) so when I came across The Opposites Book Tag on Eleanor’s blog a month ago I knew I’d do it at some point.

Fast forward a month later and here we are! She tagged anyone who read her post, which I’m linking here because you need to read her answers!

I’m changing my answers up a little though and instead of talking about “normal” books, I’ll be talking about manga instead… Considering manga is the majority of what I read. ๐Ÿ˜›

I hope you enjoy this tag post!

FIRST BOOK IN YOUR COLLECTION/LAST BOOK YOU BOUGHT.

The first manga I ever bought was Azumanga Daioh and it’s one of my biggest manga books in my collection… So far anyway. ๐Ÿ˜› I loved the anime of the same name so when I heard about a manga of it too, I knew I had to find it! It took me ages and when I finally found it online I ordered it to be told a month later that it wasn’t actually in stock as they’d said. I got a refund and headed elsewhere in search of it. I found it on eBay in the end brand new and ended up buying it for less money than I was intending to pay for it in the first place.

My most recent purchase is Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Life Vol. 2. I LOVE this spin off series even more than the original due to how adorable it is and yet how hilarious it is at other times. I’ll soon be buying some new manga… I feel like I buy it monthly in all honesty. ๐Ÿ˜›

A CHEAP BOOK/AN EXPENSIVE BOOK.

This stands for both of the same series but I’ve spent an absolute fortune on the Nana manga in the past! It’s not really published anymore I don’t think so it can be such a hard manga to get hold of! It’s so worth it though as I think the Nana manga will be worth some serious monies in the future due to it being on a hiatus. ANYWAY I’ve spent next to sod all on many copies of this manga and other times I’ve paid through the teeth just to get a decent copy or even a brand new one.

Aside from Nana the most I have spent on manga for myself is ยฃ15.99, which I spent on the manga of Wolf Children. I regret spending that much on it, but 1. it’s hardback and 2. I picked it up in Waterstones… Of course it was expensive! ๐Ÿ˜›

A BOOK WITH A MALE PROTAGONIST/ONE WITH A FEMALE PROTAGONIST.

First of all, male protagonist! The first one that pops into my head isย Hideo Suzuki from the manga, I Am a Hero. This manga is amazing and it’s thanks to Dane discovering it in Forbidden Planet that we started reading it together. He’s such a fanny at the best of times, but this is due to what appears to be a form of anxiety. He’s our hero during a zombie apocalypse in Japan and he’s such a great and real protagonist for that story. I cannot wait to see where the series goes and what the future has in store for him.

So a female protagonist eh? Oh man I could pick so many manga series with a legend of a female protagonist but I think the first one I can think of is Nana Osaki, from the manga of the same name. She’s the Nana who is a singer in a rock band and doesn’t stand for shit! Although she’s rock hard on the outside and appears untouchable, she actually has a heart of gold and is mending a broken heart throughout most of the manga. I remember when watching the anime, as well as reading the manga what a strong and bold woman she is, even though she isn’t real. I wanted to be like her as I got older and I like to think I am. ๐Ÿ˜›

A BOOK YOU READ FAST/ONE THAT TOOK YOU LONG TO READ.

If there is a series I found myself whizzing through and finishing quicker than any manga series I own to date, it’s A Silent Voice. I remember hearing about the manga thanks to the anime that came out as a film last year. I picked up a couple of volumes to read to see if I would enjoy it and I instantly fell in love. Even before me and Dane went to watch the anime I went into my local manga/comic book store and bought some more volumes! Later I bought the rest on Amazon PRIME so I could read them as soon as possible. To this day it is now one of my favourite manga series and I recommend it highly to anyone who wants to get into manga and see why it’s so amazing.

Fuck me, if there is one manga series that is taking me forever to get through, it’s definitely K-ON! and I honestly couldn’t tell you why. I think it’s because I enjoy reading it so much that I take my time to read it. I’m on my second to last volume now and I’ll be sad when I’ve finished the K-ON! series. This just means I need to find a NEW SERIES to get into. ๐Ÿ˜›

PRETTY COVER/UGLY COVER.

I don’t think I really own any pretty manga covers… If anything I love Nana for the story each volume tells about the two Nana’s and the same can go for A Silent Voice which shows off the two main characters together. I also really love A Polar Bear In Love for the adorable covers that their volumes produce! I cannot wait for Volume 3 to come out now as the cover for that looks amazing.

I can’t say I own any ugly covers though… If there are some manga covers I dislike it’s Dane’s Berserk series, as well as some of the Junji Ito covers which aren’t ugly, just very creepy. ๐Ÿ˜›

A NATIONAL BOOK/AN INTERNATIONAL BOOK.

HA they’re all pretty international when you think about it! ๐Ÿ˜›

No I joke. All my manga books are in English! Although once I nearly ordered Elfen Lied on Amazon, only to discover they were all in German. I dodged a very heavy and expensive burden there. ๐Ÿ˜›

A THIN BOOK/A THICK BOOK.

I don’t really own any thin manga… Some of my thicker books are Wolf Children and Azumanga Daioh.

FICTION BOOK/NON-FICTION BOOK.

They’re all fiction really.

VERY (WAY TOO) ROMANTIC BOOK/ACTION BOOK.

Oh man, the majority of my manga is romance related as that’s just what I’m into. I have read action style manga though before, don’t get me wrong! Those are usually ones that Dane has bought and told me to check out. I do like a bit of action in manga, but I’m a total romance girl. ๐Ÿ˜›

A BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAPPY/ONE THAT MADE YOU SAD.

There are so many manga series that make me happy! K-ON!, Azumanga Daioh, Nichijou, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and more, but if there is one that really cheers me up to read lately, it’s A Polar Bear In Love.

A Polar Bear In Love is about a polar bear who is in love with a baby seal. The story is about them exploring where they live together and learning more each day about one another, as well as about things around them. I remember reading volume 1 and wondering what the hell was happening, but it’s such a cute story and the artwork is also adorable. Give it a read if you love cute and yet weird manga. ๐Ÿ˜›

I feel like I’ve spoken about it so much on this post, but both Nana and A Silent Voice broke my heart. Nana is for many reasons, with the biggest of course being the story but also because it isn’t finished! The writer/artist of Nana has health issues and due to that she had to hiatus Nana. I need to know what happens and how it finishes for all the characters. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

A Silent Voice is just depressing for many different reasons and what makes it even more depressing? It’s so realistic that I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of stuff that happens in the manga, doesn’t happen on a daily basis to both children and teenagers. It’s about a deaf girl who is bullied by her classmate. She leaves due to the bullying, which results in the classmate being bullied himself for many years after. He learns sign language and goes to meet her to apologise before he attempts suicide… Which doesn’t happen thankfully! That’s all I’m saying! ๐Ÿ˜› It has a lovely ending to it however and in itself, that makes me happy.

So those are the answers to theย The Opposites Book Tag! I hope my answers aren’t boring due to me changing them to adapt to manga, but as I said before… I don’t read anything else other than manga these days…

Like Eleanor did, anyone who reads this tag post, I CHOOSE YOU TO TAKE PART TOO! ๐Ÿ˜€

Will you be giving the tag a go? If so let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re ready for the weekend.
