Good morning, I hope you are all well! It is the start of a new week, and I can’t believe how quick May is going by already. Towards the end of April I was tagged by my wonderful friend and fellow blogger Kirsty over at Cosmetics Beauty Rainbow to take part in the beauty blogger tag. I felt loved, and it’s only now am I getting around to giving this tag a go myself!

1. What is your signature makeup style?
Well considering I only wear lipstick… A strong bold lip colour is always my signature look. Everyone always comments about how I wear dark shades like my reds, dark pinks, and purples. Can never say no to a Marilyn Monroe red shade, or a hot pink. My favourite lipstick brand to rock are Jeffree Star Cosmetics and MAC Cosmetics.

2. Have you ever made an embarrassing beauty blunder? And what was it?
Probably back in the day when I wore thick black eyeliner and eyeshadow! I was a total emo kid, and I thought it looked amazing. What annoys me is that I got bullied for my “panda eyes” and when I stopped wearing it, everyone started to rock it again! GRR! The same happened when I was in my early teens, I would wear blue lipstick and everyone picked on me. Now what is everyone wearing??? POINT PROVEN!

3. What is your favourite makeup brand?
MAC Cosmetics and Benefit for “high-end”.

Bourjois and NYX for “high street”.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics for “indie”.

4. When did you start wearing makeup?
When I was fourteen/fifteen I really started to experiment with make up. I rocked dark green, red, black, dark purple, and blue denim coloured eyeshadows with thick eyeliner. I didn’t wear much when it came to lip products… Probably a clear lip gloss.

5. Why did you start wearing makeup?
I think it was mostly based on what I would have seen in magazines, or on singers/celebrities. Avril Lavigne and Green Day were big inspirations on my make up when I was a teenager… Oh dear I was just an emo kid. πŸ˜›

6. Are you more high-end or high street (drugstore) when it comes to beauty products?
I’m a bit of both to be honest… I probably own more high-end than high street. A lot of my high street stuff I buy and then think, “meh I could have paid a little more for something better.” It depends though. I definitely prefer high end though to be honest.

7. Who’s your makeup icon?
I don’t have one to be honest. I am my own makeup icon. πŸ˜‰

8. How do your prep beauty wise for a first date?
I used to just put on a bit of primer, translucent finishing powder, and usually Rebel lipstick by MAC as it was my favourite when it came to dating. However, on my second date with Dane I wore zero make up, because that is me. I don’t wear make up, so why do myself up all the time?

9. Is there a certain perfume you wear that brings back a memory?
Angel by Thierry Muglar. It reminds me of my childhood. I remember when my mom first bought this and I loved the smell of it. It reminded me of her and holidays. She bought me a bottle of my own when I was a teenager and since then I have bought my own bottle and had it refilled once. I don’t actually wear this as much as I used to, but I still adore it. It’s one of my favourite scents. The same can be said for Alien by Thierry Muglar too, which reminds me of Dane. I wore it on our first date together and he commented saying how lovely I smelt. I wear it for every anniversary we’ve had so far together too. He always says how it remembers it from our first date and that really makes me smile. πŸ™‚

10. Whats the best bit of beauty advise you got and who gave you it?
Probably everything my mom has ever told me! Never to pluck my eyebrows is my main one. I have big, thick full eyebrows and everyone teased me for it when I was growing up. Now people are jealous because they don’t have any. πŸ˜›

Now here are the questions that Kirsty came up with for us to answer! πŸ˜€

1. If you had to choose one product you couldn’t live without for the rest of your life what would it be?

Definitely lip balm. I love having soft lips and even if I couldn’t have a lipstick to wear I would still want a nice tinted lip balm of course. My Korres Lip Butter to be precise.

2. What is your favourite “go to” blush product?

I don’t wear blush… :’)

3. Do you follow a specific skincare routine either day/ night or both and what products do you use?

I follow a really specific skincare routine most days. I wash my face, apply toner, eye gel, moisturiser, primer, translucent powder, clear brow gel, lip balm, and a lipstick or gloss. πŸ™‚

4. What do you think of the current liquid lipstick trend?

I FUCKING LOVE IT! I am definitely a liquid lipstick addict. πŸ˜›

5. Have you discovered any new/ different beauty brands recently?

I’ve recently purchased my first NYX goodies! Two lip glosses to be exact and I love them so much. I want to buy more. WAH! πŸ˜›

6. How do you apply your base products, do you prefer to use your fingers, beauty blender, brush or another applicator?

I apply my primer with my fingers. I don’t see the point in using a brush. I do of course use a powder brush to apply my translucent powder.

7. What is your favourite eyeshadow palette, past or present?

I don’t use eyeshadow anymore sadly. I never owned one either when I did wear eye make up. My favourite eyeshadows were by MAC Cosmetics, and Barry M. One palette I wanted for years was the Aquataenia by Lime Crime… But let’s not discuss Lime Crime here… πŸ˜›

8. Do you have a nostalgic beauty product that you would always use in your younger years?

Miss Sporty clear mascara, which I still use to this day on my eyebrows!

9. Your favourite high-end product?

MAC Cosmetics lipstick, specifically the shade Rebel.

10. What is your favourite eyeliner product and do you have any tips to achieving the perfect winged liner?

Β I don’t wear eyeliner, but one of the best I tried was by Collection 2000. πŸ™‚ I don’t have any tips either I’m afraid… Sorry.

So that was the beauty blogger tag! I’m so pleased that Kirsty tagged me into this as I haven’t been tagged for quite a long time, and due to that I feel loved. ^_^

I tag everyone who reads this to give it a go! I won’t make up any of my own questions as I’m crap at stuff like that. πŸ˜›

Make sure to let me know in the comments down below if you give it a go yourselves.

Until next time, take care all and have a lovely week.

March ’16 Wish List

Okay this is seriously a wish list this month because I SERIOUSLY need to watch my money now. I need to adult and only spend money on house related items… How boring. πŸ˜› I’m hoping to do a wish list Wednesday post on house related items, so keep your eyes peeled for that in the future!

But for now, I’ll just be talking about all sorts of cute, and quirky items that I want for myself. Oh and FYI, I never bought a single thing off of my wish list last month… πŸ˜›

deadpool20wish20list_zpsmt36m9hv

  • Benefit Posie Tint – Β£24.50 (link)

I have to first of all say, I know there are going to be LOADS of lip products on this months wish list… Oh boy. BUT I picked up a sample of this lip tint and I have fallen head over heels in love with it. I am literally using this nearly everyday for work. A little bit goes a long way, and it leaves a gorgeous just bitten pink stain on the lips. I am just so in love. I will buy this one day, I just don’t know when at this moment in time. DAMN having to be a grown up and save money!

  • OPI Hello Kitty Collection Nail Lacquer in Starry-Eyed For Daniel -Β£12.50 (sadly no link as most stores have sadly sold out…)

I have been lusting after this nail lacquer for quite some time now… BUT I keep telling myself I don’t need anymore polishes, especially when I don’t really wear them anymore. I have my eye on quite a few of the lacquers from this collection, including this one, Charmmy and Sugar, and Say Hello To Hello Kitty. But I doubt I’ll pick any of these up, at least not any time soon at least. It is such a pretty collection coming up to spring and summer, and it’s been a long time coming OPI collaborating with Sanrio. I hope they bring another collection out in future with the rest of the Sanrio family!

  • Bee & PuppyCat Vol. 2 Comic Book – Β£10.76 (link)

I LOVE Bee & PuppyCat and after recently discovering that there was a comic book out of the popular cartoon show, I just fell harder in love with the show. The second volume of the comic book is currently on pre-order, but as it’s out in less than a month it’ll be mine before I write and publish my April wish list… Because I have that shit pre-ordered! OH YEAH!

  • Sugar Bunny Shop Doki Fox Yamiiko Sweatshirt – $25.00 (link)

Oh.My.GLOB I love this sweatshirt and I legit want it in my life… BUT MONEY! Y DO I HAVE NO MONEY?! Eventually this will become mine, when I don’t know, but it will be one day. It’s the gorgeous Sugar Bunny’s Doki dumpling fox on a sweatshirt, what more could I ask for? I love foxes as it is, but I especially love her Doki fox, he’s just so adorable. Dane bought me some of the stickers from her store a few Christmases ago and I keep them safe in my diary. I could imagine Dane buying me this for our third anniversary together… But we shall see what happens…

  • Lancome Juicy Shaker in shade 400 Mint To Be – Β£18.00 (link)

I’ve actually bought one of these already… *smacks hand when meant to be saving money* NAUGHTY NAT! But I bought one of the purple shades. This one however is a gorgeous blue/clear sparkly shade, and one that is also limited edition. I actually regret not buying this one considering what it is… But meh I’m sure I’ll be able to pick this up on another occasion. These are gorgeous and lovely to wear for work, and I know already they’ll be a real hit with teenagers, and especially in the summer when people are going on holiday. I’m going to be writing a review up in the week on the shade I picked up over the weekend.

  • Benefit Puff Off Eye Gel – Β£22.50 (link)

I have been lusting after this throughout February and I actually went to buy it a week ago, but it has sold out in the Boots store I visited! I received a sample of this when I picked up my Matte Rescue and I fell in love. It’s a lovely creamy gel texture, and when applied to the eye area it helps it feel cool, perfect in the morning! I don’t know when I’ll pick this up, as I recently purchased a miniature of Benefit’s It’s Potent eye cream, which I am loving at the moment! So I’m not in as much hurry right now as I previously was. I still can’t wait to get my hands on this though.

  • Nana Manga Vol. 16-21

I’ve spoken about this manga on my blog before, and it is by far my favourite. It’s also incredibly hard to get hold of these days, but my boyfriend finds me good copies on Amazon all the time… Thank God! I am currently on 13, but I know after I’ve finished writing and schedule this post, I’ll be reading it for a while before I go to sleep. I am so close to the end of the series, yet so far away! I know kind of what happens at the end, which sucks, but meh. I’ve watched the anime for the series, which I fell in love with too and own on DVD. I just can’t wait to get the rest of the volumes so I know that I’m one of the lucky few who owns ALL of the series. This is something I will definitely be buying off of this list. I can’t live without my manga.

So that was my wish list for this month! What goodies do you have on your own wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below of what you have your eye on.

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’re all having a great week so far.

August Wish List 2015

I’m not going to lie. I’m skint. Not like “Oh my god I have noooo money!” Like seriously, I’m poor. Help?

So I really shouldn’t make a wish list this month, but I would feel weird not to. This is definitely a wish list as I can’t really afford anything on the list. I’m going to try and go on a spending ban until I get a better job as I only recently realised how I’m getting by on next to nothing in my current job.

But, as I said, I can still make a wish list and not buy anything that’s actually on said list. Can’t I? πŸ™‚

  • Yankee Candle Salted Caramel Small Jar.

I’m kinda running low on my Yankee Candle’s at the moment. But to be honest unless I REALLY want a certain scent, or their on sale or have money knocked off, then I’m not buying any anymore. This is in sale for Β£4.00 and I’m tempted to stock up on them to keep me happy for a while. I have liked the scent of this candle for a while, but I’ve just never caved in and bought it and whilst it’s cheap I am really tempted… But alas, I do need to save money… Sad times people, sad times.

  • Nintendo New 3DS XL (Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer Limited Edition).

This isn’t out in the UK yet (and I’m not even 100% sure if it WILL be coming out in the UK!) but it is out in Japan tomorrow and I’m pretty jealous of them right now. This is the limited edition New 3DS XL that is coming out to accompany the new Animal Crossing Game, Happy Home Designer. I’ve already pre ordered my copy! I would like to get my hands on the new 3DS in the future and if I can get one as cute as this, I don’t see why I shouldn’t.

  • Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Abused.

I want to first of all say, apologies for the name of this lipstick… I didn’t name it. The name of this is causing a stir with people, especially due to the shade it is too. Personally it doesn’t affect me but I can understand why it is upsetting a lot of people. That aside, I do really want this shade. I’ve wanted one of Jeffree’s lipsticks for ages now and this is my number once choice. When I was younger I used to wear blue lipstick all the time! I got bullied for it terribly and ended up stopping wearing it, and now everyone is wearing it. What a joke… This is a gorgeous navy blue, which you could get away with if you wanted to get a shade close to black. I bought a black lipstick recently and whilst I love how it looks when on, I feel to scared to wear it out of the house. However, I would love wearing this, especially during winter. It’s not cheap though, so I’m going to wait until I can find it at a decent price.

  • iPhone 6 Case.

As you have probably seen in the image above, there’s an iPhone there. So of course with a new phone, comes a new case. I need a case like this for work to ensure if I drop it, it would remain safe and unharmed. I wanted something a bit different to my current red one for my iPhone 5, so when looking around eBay for something different, I found this one. I love The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, so I knew this would be perfect. What makes it better is it’s cheap as chips for Β£3.00 something.

  • Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub.

Although I said I need to save money, this is something I’m probably going to pick up pretty soon. Not because I want it, but because I need a good scrub and I’ve had my eye on this one since I finished my Sugar Crush scrub. I’ve tested it in store before and it really did feel like it was scrubbing my skin without irritating it. It also smelt amazing, which you can never complain about. OH and it foamed up a little too, which is something I always look for in a body scrub. I would also like to try Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub too, as I have used a sample of it now and as a multi purpose product it got two thumbs up from me. Gosh, like I haven’t bought enough from Lush this past month! πŸ˜›

  • OPI Nail Lacquer in Visions of Georgia Green (Coca Cola Limited Edition Line).

I really liked the Coca Cola collection that OPI came out with a year ago, and own some of the shades from the first collection. A couple of collections later and OPI are bringing out another to symbolise Coca Cola being around 100 years. They’ve brought out a green and a silver shade, I’m talking about the green shade, Visions of Georgia Green here. It’s a beautiful green metallic shade with shimmer running throughout. Looks gorgeous on its own, and I’m sure it’ll look lovely applied over a green or black shade. I wouldn’t like the big bottle, but either way if this ever goes down in price I’ll be picking it up.

  • Apple iPhone 6 in Gold.

This is the last thing I’ll be talking about on my wish list, because it’s totally the best one! I’m hoping to get a new iPhone in a week as I’m due a new contract deal. It’s not that I don’t like my iPhone 5, it’s just I want my own phone. One that’s actually mine. My previous one broke due to being faulty in manufacturing and instead of being given a new one as a replacement, I was given a crappy refurbished, second-hand one. Which also didn’t work. So then I was given my phone now, which is perfect! I guess it’s an excuse as well to get the new one. I already have an awesome and cute case for it (the Eevee one mentioned here) and everything. So I just want to get one now, so I can say I have one and show it off and all that jazz. When I get it, I’ll make sure to write a post relating to iPhone’s. πŸ˜‰

So that was my wish list! I can’t believe it’s August already, can you? What things are on your wish list? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time though, take care all and have a great week.

June Wish List 2015

June is quite a nice month. It’s the month me and my boyfriend celebrate our anniversary, and also the month where summer begins. It’s also the sixth month of the year, which means we’re officially halfway through 2015. That’s pretty scary, isn’t it?

I won’t lie when I say this wish list was hard to put together. Most of the products on here I don’t really need, and I’m more lusting after. Some I will need shortly… Okay maybe one. Even though this is my wish list for June, I won’t buy two or three of them until probably after summer ends.

But a wish list is better than no wish list! Even so, I am on a spending ban as I was really naughty in May and need to save my money back up. Oh the joys!

  • Pandora Saint Bernard Charm.

I haven’t had my eye on many Pandora charms since I received my Seahorse charm for my birthday. I used to lust after that one all the time and now I have it, I’ve not really had anything to lust after. I decided to have a look on Pandora’s website recently to see what they had in new and I spotted this cute Saint Bernard charm. I love dogs and this charm looks so detailed and cute! My one Pandora bracelet has mostly animal charms on it, which I rather like, so I would like to keep this theme going. For Β£30.00 too, this is a pretty affordable charm.

  • OPI Nail Lacquer in Peace & Love & OPI.

This is a pretty old nail lacquer, two years old in fact. This came out in 2013 for the San Francisco collection and I recently stumbled upon it… Don’t ask me how as I can’t remember myself! But it is rather pretty and something I wouldn’t mind adding to my collection. It’s a grey based duochrome polish and on pictures has looked blue and purple, right up my street. I really want to sort out my nail polish collection by throwing away/selling a lot of my polishes and replacing them with better brands. I’ve found this on eBay relatively cheap too.

  • Neal & Wolf Ritual Daily Cleansing Shampoo.

I tried this shampoo nearly two years ago when I received a sample from a blogging event (you can read about that here). This is a sulfate free shampoo, something I’ve been after for a while now and as my Philip Kingsley shampoo is running low, I’ll be in need of something new soon. I’ve found a salon that sells this near me so in June I’ll be picking up the huge 950ml bottle! You can of course pick up a smaller size which is 250ml. I think this shampoo is also decently priced too with the larger bottle costing Β£21.50, only Β£10 more than the smaller size. This is a gorgeous shampoo and it made my hair feel amazing when I used it. It also smells divine! I can’t wait to pick it up. I have contemplated picking up the conditioner to start conditioning my hair, as when I tried that my hair felt amazing. I will have to see how I feel… I’m not a huge fan of conditioner…

  • Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub.

I have had my eye on this for as long as I can remember and I won’t lie when I admit that the colour of this product what was caught my eye. I love anything blue… It’s just not normal is it? πŸ˜› BUT when I went out shopping in May the shop assistant in Lush let me try this product out on my hands and it felt beautiful, and smelt just as good too. It’s a fine scrub that foams up as you use it with water and feels like it works rather well. Why didn’t I pick it up then? I was given so many samples in the store that I wanted to go away and try those before settling on something. But another reason was because the store was rammed and my poor boyfriend (who hates busy places and crazy women shoppers, like myself) was waiting outside for me and I’d been in there for at least half an hour looking at products. So to give him a break and some social interaction (how considerate am I, eh? :P) I left it. I will be picking this up in the future, but not until I use up my Soap & Glory Sugar Crush.

  • New Look Black Knee Ripped Skinny Jeans.

I mentioned some items I bought from New Look in May over on a haul post (here) and I had to return one of the dresses I bought as it was too big. I received a Β£10 voucher to use in store and as of yet, I haven’t. I’ve been into three or four different New Look stores since then and lusted after these jeans. I’ve wanted some new black skinny’s for a while now as mine are faded, but I’ve also been after some that are ripped. These look perfect to me and I would have bought them by now but in all honestly my confidence hasn’t been too great, and neither has my anxiety. So each time I have contemplated getting them, I leave it and look elsewhere. The one time I actually had the courage to try them on, the changing room had been closed. I was a very sad Nat. However, the next time I’m near New Look I’ll be trying them on! I’ve already planned what I can wear these with, including my new shoes, as well as my Adventure Time Dr Martens (post about them here) for in the autumn! These cost Β£24.99, but with my voucher they’ll only cost me Β£14.99. Bargain!

  • Lush You Snap The Whip Body Butter.

This is another product I tried out when I went into Lush for AGES. It was also something else I contemplated picking up, but I left it. This is something I have been thinking about buying since I first started using Lush in 2008. I first of all want it due to how amazing it smells, it contains cassis so it smells like blackcurrant. Also it’s called a body butter, but it does infact scrub the skin too. I tried this one on my hands too and whilst the shop assistant told me it’s the roughest of the body butters (WRONG! Buffy is!) it didn’t feel as rough as I thought it might. It also contains charcoal, which is great for the skin. I would probably use this on my face as well as my body. The reason I didn’t pick this up is I’ve heard so many complaints that it doesn’t last long due to it melting when in contact with the body and the shower… So I’ll wait a while to try this out. It’s a shame I can’t get a sample of it really. I may ask when in store next.

  • Diesel Loverdose Red Kiss EDP.

I love Loverdose, it’s one of my favourite perfumes so whenever Diesel bring out a new one relating to it, I have to give it a sniff! I tried Loverdose Tattoo and I didn’t like it, which I was sad about. However when I tried Loverdose Red Kiss, I LOVED it. It reminds me of an old limited edition version of Jean Paul Gaultier Classique (back in 2004, I still own the perfume but have hardly used it!) and it just reminds me of when I was a teenager. I still have the card for it by my bed and it still smells amazing. I have been so tempted to buy this various times but I’m leaving it… I’ll wait until I feel the need to treat myself. I can’t even describe the scent though… Sweet yet somewhat floral and fruity. Perfect if you don’t actually like the original Loverdose!

So that’s my wish list for June. It’s my anniversary in less than a week. I’ve bought my boyfriends present and he’s bought mine. We both know what we have bought for one another… Although I may attempt to buy him a couple of little surprise pieces.

What’s on your wish list for June? Let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all.

May Favourites 2015

Wow, where have the past five months gone? It’s now June and that means we’re also halfway through the year. Roll on Christmas huh? But before then, I want some nice sunshine!

I found my favourites for this month a little hard to choose, but that’s mostly because I’ve been so busy and such with my assignments this month that I haven’t had much thought about what I have been using a lot. But when I walk around my bathroom and bedroom, I soon found some beauty bits I loved throughout theΒ  month.

  • Paul Smith Rose EDP.

This is an old favourite of mine and something I love using throughout the year. I’ve recently started to use it again and I really did miss it. I can’t remember the last time I used it to be fair! This is my second bottle of this after receiving another for my 24th birthday last year. It’s a gorgeous strong scent that will last ages! I always get complimented when I wear this and due to that it reminds me of my gran. Whenever I wore this she always commented how lovely I smelt. So whenever I wear it, I instantly think of her. For how nice this perfume is, you can pick it up super cheap as a 100ml size! Less than Β£30 in some shops, one being Asda.

  • Balance Me Tinted Lip Salve in Ruby Red.

I actually received this as a free sample in a copy of Glamour a couple of months ago and at first I used it loads as it was a nice product to apply if I just wanted a bit of a tint. However I didn’t touch it for ages until a few weeks ago. I love using this for work as it’s a multiple use lip product. It hydrates and tints the lips and is also petroleum free, which I really like! I got a full sized tube, which is worth Β£12! These come in other shades too, but I do really like the red shade. It isn’t a bright red when applied to the lips, sort of like a tomato red, but I really like it if I’m not in the mood for anything heavy.

  • OPI Nail Lacquer in This Color’s Making Waves (from the Hawaii Collection).

This is a nail lacquer I have lusting over for a couple of months now and I finally have it! I already know I’ll be buying a bigger bottle of this before it’s discontinued as I just adore it. When I first wore it I fell in love, not just as the gorgeous turquoise shade, but also how nice it made my nails look! I’m not a huge fan of my nails as they’re rather stubby and boyish looking, but when I apply certain polishes they can look gorgeous. This lacquer is one of those. The formula is great to work with too which I really liked. I can see me rocking this throughout summer, hell even autumn, winter, and spring. It’s probably one of my favourite nail lacquers already!

  • Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Lipstick in Liberty.

I mentioned recently in a haul (here) about picking up two of the shades from the Iconic Pro collection, this being one of them. It’s a gorgeous blue toned purple that reminds me of MAC’s Violetta lipstick. Although I also picked up another purple shade (Liberty Matte) I found that this one is a little more wearable when it come to work. I love wearing bright lip colours, and the braver I get, the bolder the lip colours have become. Next I’ll be trying black! πŸ˜‰ Anyway, this is a gorgeous purple lipstick and although it doesn’t last as long as I’d hoped, it still looks and feels gorgeous when I wear it. The only thing I haven’t been liking about these lipsticks are the smell. It reminds me of PlayDoh which we can all agree, isn’t very nice.

  • Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Wash Scrub & Mask.

I wouldn’t say I would replace my Clinique face wash for this, but I am pretty hooked on this! As the title of the product states, it’s a wash, scrub, and a mask. What more can you ask for? I will say, I don’t understand how this works as a wash and a scrub but meh it does I guess. I use this once or twice a week as a scrub and once or twice a week as a mask. The mask works really well as getting rid of my oily t-zone and leaves my dry cheeks feeling moisturised and soft. I’ve always struggled when it comes to face masks, but I think I’m onto a winner with this one. As a scrub, it doesn’t scrub as much as I’d have hoped, but it does the job alright for me, so I can’t complain. I don’t know if I’ll repurchase this one yet, as I like to shop around for the perfect product. We shall see though.

So those were my favourites for May. Have you tried any of the products I mentioned? Also, what are your favourites for this month? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all.

A Very Much Needed Haul!

I’m meant to be saving money, but for some reason towards the end of my second semester of uni I suddenly felt the urge to buy myself some things. Things that whilst I can afford, I shouldn’t really buy. However a majority of these items were in the sale, so it wasn’t too bad! Plus a couple of things were free and one was a gift, but I’ll go into detail about this.

I’ll talk about each item in order of when I bought them.

Towards the end of April me and my boyfriend decided to treat ourselves to a new game for our 2Ds’s and that game was the latest Pokemon, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Since then we’ve played them loads, but my boyfriend has already completed his! I’ve been too busy with my uni work to play but when I’ve handed my last assignment in Thursday, I’ll be able to complete the story!

I’d read a review recently about Makeup Revolution’s new Iconic Pro lipsticks and whilst I didn’t need anymore (or any new ones for that matter) the two I had spied were dupes of MAC Heroine and possibly Violetta, two lipsticks I have had my eye on for quite some time. So, for Β£2.49 each I thought, what the hell! I ordered Liberty in both the matte finish and the standard finish, which looks creamy, yet glossy. These are gorgeous lipsticks and since buying them I’ve worn themΒ  nearly everyday. I’ll definitely have to review these in the future as not only are they MAC dupes, but the packaging also reminds me of MAC too. Really can’t go wrong for the price. The only thing I disliked was how much the postage was, and what made it worse was how long it took them to arrive! Not very pleased about it, but they’re here now and were definitely worth the wait!

This was intended to be the only treats I was going to buy myself this month, but alas after ordered those lipsticks, I couldn’t stop.

I use Love Sales to tell me when products I want to buy go into the sale. The second said item goes down in price I get an email about it. This happened a lot that same day due to New Look having a sale. I’ve seen a lot of items I wanted from there, so alas those items were put on sale. A lot of items I wanted weren’t available in my size, but the ones I picked up were.

I picked up this crop top, which I’ve been wanting for ages! It was listed under New Look’s 70’s trend, which I’ve really been liking this spring so far. I’ve wanted some more crop tops for a while as whilst I don’t like my tummy, my waist is pretty awesome! I can wear something high-waisted (probably black shorts, jeans, disco pants, or a skirt) and it’ll look awesome all year around. When I tried this on it felt a little tight, but I think this is how it’s meant to be. It makes my boobs look awesome too, so I’m glad I picked this up! It was originally Β£7.99, down to Β£4.00, bargain! I’m really pleased I picked this up. It’s going to be the start of me getting more body confident again. Although this being said, I haven’t yet found anything high-waisted that I like the look of. I’ll have to keep looking.

I’ve wanted this dress for months and looked in every store imaginable to try and track it down to try on and buy. I looked in two Coventry stores, three Birmingham stores, Milton Keynes, Cheltenham, and Leicester, and no one could help me! They all told me to order it online. But I left it, I don’t tend to like ordering clothes online… However when this popped up in the sale, I couldn’t resist. At the time of ordering there was only one size left, which is one-two sizes too big for me, but I could get it taken in and it would be okay. And to be honest, with how self-conscious I am about my weight lately I thought, “You’ll probably fit into it anyway… You’re getting fat.” However, when it arrived and I tried it on, it turns out it was too big for me! Deep down I was so damn happy! But the story doesn’t even here about that dress. The next day I had a look online to see if they had any of my sizes left, which they did! So my boyfriend was nice enough to order it for me and so, when that dress arrived and fit okay, I took the one I ordered back to the store. Happy days! I’m so pleased I finally got this dress and at a bargain too, it was originally Β£22.99, down to Β£10. TEN WHOLE POUNDS! So pleased! I already know how I want to wear this and will wear it all year around. I wore it to a party recently and I loved it. I had nothing but compliments and it really did make me feel like a blast from the past with its 60’s/70’s look to it.

Both of these items were spoken about on one of my wish list Wednesday’s posts, which you can check out here.

Something else I decided to pick up from New Look were these cute little poodle socks. I’m a sucker for anything with a poodle on it and of course I just had to get these. You can never have enough pairs of socks, especially me! These were originally Β£1.99, down to Β£1.00. Can’t complain for that money.

With flash

Out of pure boredom on my day off from work I had a look at Topshop’s sale to see if I could spy anything nice for a bargain and I came across these shoes. I have had my eyes on a pair of Vagabond sandals for nearly a year now and I still don’t own them. Why? Because they’re just too damn expensive! Like the New Look items I had them on Love Sales and waited patiently for them to drop in the sale, but they didn’t drop to as much as I hoped they would. However, on the Topshop sale they had some shoes somewhat similar to the Vagabond ones. I wasn’t sure whether to order them… So I waited until my boyfriend was home from work and asked for a second opinion. He agreed on the reasons why I wanted them and so I ordered. Instead of paying Β£3.00 to have the delivered home, I decided to opt for free delivery to my nearest store. The sales assistants were lovely in store and I tried them on there and then. They fit me lovely and I was so excited to take them home! These were the best bargain out of the lot at a cheap Β£15.00 down from Β£40.00! They’re not real leather, but I’m not fussed about that. These will go with loads of things over the spring and summer months, hell even the warmer autumn days! I’ll probably team these up with the crop top, as well as the dress. I’ve already worn them with the dress and they looked awesome! When I first tried these on they did seem a hell of a lot higher than I thought they would be, but they’re really easy to walk in and very comfortable. I can’t wait to wear these more throughout the summer.

L-R: Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub, Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter, and Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Wash Scrub & Mask

I needed to pick myself up some bits and pieces from Boots, these being a face and body scrub. So I took advantage to Boots 3 for 2 offer and decided to treat myself to Soap & Glory’s Sugar Crush Body Scrub and although I haven’t tried it yet on my body, I have tried it on the back of my hand and it feels gorgeous and smells delicious! I love the Sugar Crush line and it smells delicious, just like key lime pie! I’ve owned the shower gel in the past and was tempted to pick it up for this offer, but left it this time. This cost me Β£8.00.

Instead I picked up Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter, which I have had my eye on to try for quite some time. What really encouraged me to buy it is the fact it smells JUST LIKE pistachio ice cream, which I adore. This shares the same scent as Smoothie Star Body Milk, and I can only imagine it does with the Smoothie Star Body Buttercream, and the Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub. I tried this out the day after I bought it and it’s really nice to use! I imagine it’s like the Nivea in shower moisturiser as it did leave me feeling moisturised for a while, but my skin soon went dry in patches. This being said, my skin is very dry. I’ll be test driving this out more throughout June! This cost me Β£7.00

The item I picked up for free was what I settled on as my new face scrub, this being Garnier’s Pure 3-in-1 Wash Scrub & Mask. I’ve heard nothing but good about this and have wanted to try it for a while, but never did. However I thought what the hell this time and also gave this a go as a scrub the day after I bought it too and it really did feel nice to use! I of course haven’t noticed much change yet, but it didn’t dry my skin out which I liked. I can’t wait to try this as a mask as I really want to start using face masks again. This was on sale at the time of purchase for just over Β£3.00 but it’s now priced on the website as Β£5.99.

L-R: Ocean Salt, Ultrabland, and Let The Good Times Roll

Whilst I was out shopping with my boyfriend and before I picked up my items from Boots I ventured into Lush to check out their face and body scrubs, as I contemplated buying one from them. I had Ocean Salt and Rub Rub Rub in mind. The woman who served me was lovely and very chatty about Lush products. She also let me try out loads of products which was nice! However some of the things she was telling me about products I know from my personal research in the past were incorrect and I was somewhat confused about that. But I know she meant well and was speaking more from her own experience, as opposed to what they’re taught about the products. She was so lovely though that she gave me enough samples to last me for quite a few weeks. I nearly picked up Rub Rub Rub or You Snap The Whip, but I left it as to be honest, Lush is expensive and in my mind is something you only pick up as a treat.

The samples she gave me are Ocean Salt, Ultrabland, and Let The Good Times Roll. I’m really excited to try Ocean salt and Let The Good Times Roll, not so much for Ultrabland though. I tried this out in store and it felt so greasy on the back of my hand. This isn’t something I want to feel on my face… But I’ll still give it a go!

My family recently came back from a holiday and were lovely enough to bring me back this set of OPI Nail Lacquers with some of the Hawaii Collection inside. I’ve painted my nails and toes with some of the shades already and they’re gorgeous! I’m so grateful for the thought behind these and I know I’ll be rocking them throughout the summer! I’ll definitely be reviewing these soon.

I’m so pleased with my purchases and I’m really happy I treated myself to a few goodies. I’ve just about finished my second semester of university and I won’t lie when I say I feel like a weight has been lifted… Somewhat. I need to wait to see how I did first before the weight is fully gone. But for now I am due to start working on my dissertation, which will be a lot of work, but not as much as before.

This means more blog posts! I’ve really missed writing for my blog, so I’m glad to be back.

Have you been buying anything in the sales? Drop a comment and let me know!

Until next time all, take care and I’ll see you soon.

May Wish List 2015

I swear to God, April has been a tough month and before May 21st, it’ll be even tougher. I’m towards the end of my second semester of uni and that means lots and LOTS of uni work! I have five assignments due in and I need to start working on my dissertation as soon as the 21st has gone. I’ve already started it, which is good of course.

Anyway, wish list. I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to be honest, and I had to have a think about what I had seen and lusted after. Some I have mentioned before, but I’ll talk about them differently this time around.

I think after the 21st I’ll treat myself to a few things from this list for working so hard… Yeah… Maybe if I’m not skint anyway!

  • Yankee Candle Tea Lights in Berrylicious.

I own this scent in a large jar (which I spoke about here) and it’s by far one of my favourites! However, due to how rare this candle is now appearing to be, I’ve decided to save it until I move out and have my own home to burn it in. The same can be said for my newest candle, Red Velvet (in a large jar! YAY!), which I picked up at the start of April. I have had my eye on the Berrylicious range in Yankee Candle’s sale for a bargain. I recently bought the Easter Vanilla Cupcake and bunny tea light holder in Clinton’s sale so I now have a cute little tea light holder to burn my candles in! So I might pick this tea light set up in the sale. Berrylicious is such a yummy smell and will be perfect for summer.

  • 101 Dalmatians Lucy Tsum Tsum.

Oh my Gosh, everyone is in love with these and at first I didn’t get why… Until I saw them for the first time in the Disney Store and now I know why. These little guys are so cute and adorable! They come in small, medium and large sizes. The large ones are huge and would prove good companions if you feel miserable and want something to snuggle into. I think they’d also work good on long journeys and you want to have a snooze. They look like pillows. However, I’ve only been interested in the small ones and they’re just as cute. I’ve had my eye on Lady from Lady and The Tramp but from having a look on the Disney Store website, I’ve discovered that they have 101 Dalmatians ones! This is my second favourite Disney film so I was instantly attracted. Lucky has always been my favourite puppy (for obvious reasons!) and as a kid whenever I found something 101 Dalmatians themed, I usually bought it. I was obsessed with it at one point and it was a bit crazy. But sod it, we’re all a little crazy aren’t we? But enough rambling! I’d love all the other puppies available too, which are Patch and Rolly. I can see me ordered these as a treat when I get paid at the end of the month.

  • OPI Nail Lacquer in This Colour’s Making Waves (from Hawaii Collection).

I love OPI and over the past couple of years they have become my favourite nail polish brand. Sometimes there are just collections and shades that come out that I really love and need in my life and this is one of them. This colour really is making waves over the blogging community and everyone appears to adore it. I’ve read review, after review and the more I have read, the more I have wanted it. I had a look at it in store the weekend and it really did appeal to me. I would have bought it there and then but I don’t think my boyfriend would have allowed me without a fight… SO I have decided to save it as a treat for when I’ve handed in all my assignments for semester two. That seems a pretty decent bargain to me! The shade itself is a shimmery teal with blue and greens in there. It reminds me of Fuerteventura (where I was somewhat brought up as a child) and the ocean looks just like this. It would just remind me of that and I miss that place like a fat kid on a diet misses cake. So I kinda need this in my life…

  • YY Kawaii personalised iPhone case.

I’ve mentioned this Etsy seller before and she is amazing! I really want her to customise a case for me! I was close to ordering one at the start of the week, but I left it. I’m going to wait until I get myself a new phone before I finish uni. I may as well, as whilst her cases look beautiful, they’re also expensive. So I wouldn’t want to buy one for my iPhone 5, only in three or four months time to get an iPhone 6. To then need to order another one. So I may as well wait it out and think about what I would like. I have some ideas and it’s definitely a nerdy Pokemon themed one, especially Eevee! I want a Starbucks cup on there, as well as some other cute little pink things and such. I can’t wait to order it!

  • Eve 3D Mug.

Who doesn’t love Disney Store mugs, eh? I love them and once a year I may buy myself a new one. I used to buy them all the time when I was in college and undergraduate uni but I’ve grown up a little since and been good and saved money. However we all need to be a big kid sometimes and when I fancy being just this, I look to Disney and Pokemon for my childish fixes. I have the 3D Wall E mug and I want the Eve one to match! I wanted this mug for about a year and every time I went into the Disney Store it was sold out, the Wall E one too! Then they told me it wasn’t coming back into store, but to check online. They’d all gone from there too. However last year on a random shopping date I FOUND WALL E! He was in the sale with Β£2 knocked off of him. If Eve had have been there too, I would have bought her as well. When I have my own home, all my mugs will be Disney and anime related. Because I’m cool that way.

  • Lanolips Lip Ointment in Apples.

I’ve been lusting after a Lanolips lip ointment for years, but due to how expensive they are… I’ve never picked one up. Plus everywhere I’ve looked, they’ve never had this one in stock. So I left it. However, Feel Unique now stock this one and it excites me very much! I’ve wanted to pick up the banana one too, but as I’m allergic to banana and it contains actual banana, I wouldn’t want to worry it would set off my allergies. This is expensive and it’ll have to be a very special treat to myself to pick it up.

  • How to Build a Girl by Caitlin Moran.

I can’t say I have loved Caitlin Moran’s books… I was bought How To Be a Woman years ago and I just couldn’t get into it. I don’t know if it was me at the time and the frame of mind I was in, but I just had to stop reading. I was so excited to read it too as the person who bought it for me said I was similar to Caitlin, but when I read it I kept thinking, “fuck off, I am nothing like this!” but I will someday give that book another go. However, I fancied buying this whilst food shopping as not only was it cheap, but the plot sounded right up my street! And the style of writing that I do myself. I will definitely buy it someday, but maybe not yet as with uni work, my reading has been put on hold. Which I’m pretty gutted about! I love reading so much.

  • TAFI Deadpool Leggings.

I love me some leggings and whilst I love Black Milk ones the most, they aren’t very purse friendly and whilst I often purchase mine via eBay (I make sure they’re legit, etc) I just want to find something new… Etsy is great for this and whilst some don’t look as good as Black Milk, some are designs that Black Milk haven’t even done yet. This is one of them. I rather like Deadpool and I’m super excited about the movie with Ryan Reynolds (who is also one of my favourite actors) these leggings are just perfect really. They look great quality and just look cool and I’d be able to dress them up with all sorts. Including postage, these would only cost me over Β£17. BARGAIN when Black Milk will cost you nearly Β£100 including postage! I recommend checking out TAFI if you want some cool leggings for a bargain.

So that’s my wish list for May! I do need to save money so I may only buy one or two items from this list. I need to save money for bills, uni, as well as for trying to put a deposit on my own home. It’s tough going but I guess this is being a grown up.

What’s on your wish list this month? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and see you soon.

January Favourites 2015

2015 and we’re already into February! I wasn’t expecting my holiday in January to go by so quickly either.

The majority of my favourites in January were products I used frequently whilst on holiday, or discovered whilst I was there.

I’ve decided to do something a little different this year, instead of talking about ten favourites each month, I’ll be talking about five instead. I just feel like it means I REALLY liked the items I talked about and therefore would have needed to think about hem more carefully.

So, here are my favourites!

Image taken from thebodyshop.co.uk

  • Diesel Loverdose EDP.

I had run out of this years ago and was gutted as it’s by far one of my favourite perfumes to wear. It’s a strong scent that lasts ages, and has a unique smell. So when my Dad offered to buy it me whilst on holiday as one of my birthday presents. He got me a massive 75ml bottle, so that’ll last me way longer than my 30ml bottle did. I wore this most of my holiday because of what a lovely summer scent it has, I only wore it in the evenings though but it sure did smell good and last ages. I’m so pleased to have this back in time for spring and summer.

  • The Body Shop Hand Cream in Coconut.

I just want to mention how I cannot find my hand cream anywhere in the house and this is why I’ve had to insert a picture here. I LOVE The Body Shop’s hand creams and alongside the Hemp hand cream this is one of my favourites. It has a gel like texture and isn’t as heavy as the Hemp one. Whilst I was on holiday my hands were the best they’ve been in a long time. I was using this hand cream throughout the holiday and it felt lovely on my skin. It’s one you can use in the warmer weather due to it not being heavy. It also had the lovely coconut smell, which is such a typical holiday scent! I’ve also tried the Strawberry hand cream but I didn’t like it as much as I like this one! I’ll definitely be repurchasing in the future.

  • Carmex Lip Balm in Strawberry.

I used this throughout my holiday and it kept my lips lovely and soft, as well as protected due to it containing SPF 15! I’d never liked this lip balm all that much before, but I really did enjoy using it whilst I was away. The precision on this is great and meant it was easy and quick to apply when on the go. I used this underneath my lip products too and it did a mighty good job of creating a moisturisng layer. I used up nearly all of the tube as well, I was really surprised! I’ll definitely be trying the Cherry flavour next!

  • OPI Nail Lacquer in Coca-Cola Red.

As I mentioned in my Holiday Haul my Mom picked me up a set of the Coca-Cola OPI polishes, and inside of course there was the classic Cocoa-Cola Red. I wore this on my toes for the entire two weeks of my holiday and it lasted so well! I didn’t wear a base coat (naughty!) and I didn’t wear a top coat (double naughty!) and it still lasted the whole time. It’s said to be the exact same shade as the Coca-Cola cans, which I think is pretty cool! This is a cream finish is gorgeous! I don’t think I’ll ever wear this on my nails as I don’t suit red really, but on my toes it made me feel lovely.

  • Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Honey Douche

This was a balm stain I was given by my Mom as she didn’t like the shade that much and I didn’t think I would either, but it’s turned out that I love it! It’s a light pink shade and is a really nice nude shade at that. I’m not a fan of nude shades but this worked lovely as I built up my tan whilst I was on holiday and it also lasted ages on my lips. I never did try the Revlon lip crayons until I received this one, and it’s probably one of the best ones I’ve ever tried. I can see me picking up more in the future as they’re so great to quickly apply when on the move.

So those were my favourites for January! What did you use last month and enjoy? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time all, take care and I hope you had a good weekend.

2014’s Top 10 Favourites

Image taken from weheartit.com

This is a post that is long overdue, and I’m finally getting the time to write it! As regular readers will know I’ve been away on holiday the past two weeks so any posts I usually have up on my blog at the start of each month, haven’t really been there this month. Great start to the year eh?

But better late than never eh?

I’m going to show my top ten favourites from the year and there might be a few from 2013, but I don’t care. If it’s a good product, I’m mentioning it!

  • Garnier Pure Active Wasabi Fresh Face Scrub.

I’ve mentioned this on my favourites in the past and it has definitely been a great scrub to add to my bathroom in 2014! It’s actually for men, but this works perfectly on my female, sensitive skin so I’m not complaining. My boyfriend uses this too and I noticed a dramatic change in his skin, so it isn’t just me who noticed how good it is. This isn’t the cheapest scrub but I’ve owned this for months now, I use it twice a week and it’s still lasting me ages. There is also a face wash to go with the scrub but I won’t be trying it, maybe my boyfriend will in the future. Since using this scrub I’ve noticed any dry patches on my face have vanished and any signs of blackheads have dramatically evaporated. I highly recommend this scrub, even if you have sensitive skin like I do.

  • Lush Comforter Bubble Bar.

I love Lush, regular readers will know this. I bought this bubble bar for the first time months ago when I went to Bristol for mine and my boyfriends first anniversary and it’s safe to say I have fallen in love with it. I’d always smelt it in the shop and loved it’s replica smell of Ribena but as soon as I eyed the price I left it. I regret never buying it until 2014 as this bubble bar lasts ages! The scent is so strong that you only need a little chunk and it’ll go a long way. I’ve found myself getting a good six baths out of one bar, some may prefer to use the whole bar in one bath or two halves to make two baths but I’m quite stingy with my Lush products and I like to make them last. This is really good for the skin and not only does it leave me feeling nice and soft, but it leaves me smelling gorgeous too! I love using this on days where I’m having a lazy day in the house and want a pick me up. It’s also nice to use before you go to sleep as when you get under the covers you can smell it for ages. This is definitely going to be a bath staple for me now.

  • Easy Nails Fast & Fruity Nail Polish Remover.

This is by far one of the best nail polish remover pots I have ever used and that includes Bourjois too. Bourjois nail polish remover pot was the first one I tried and for how much it cost, I was incredibly disappointed. I’ve recently got it back out of my nail polish drawer to try and use up as I’m sick of the sight of it now. For less than a Β£1 you can pick up the Easy Nails pot and it does a hell of a lot more than the Bourjois one has ever done. I pop my finger in, twist it back and forth ten times and I’ll pull it out as clean as the nail was before I applied the polish on the nail. I stock up on these as soon as my current one feels dry. With glitter nail polish I don’t find it works as well as the aluminum foil technique does (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, Google it. But I will write about this technique very soon) but I don’t want it to get rid of glitter polish. It’s just so great to use and quick too. I wish I had taken one on holiday with me as it would have come in handy when I painted my nails there.

  • The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet.

I’ve written a review for this before and whilst I’ve now replaced this with Clinique, I still loved it in 2014 and would be lying if I said otherwise. This was perfect during the summer and my prayers were answered when it came out as it was boiling outside and this really did cool me down. As well as that it left my skin feeling super moisturised and feeling soft. This was rumoured to have some sort of matte texture to it, but I didn’t really notice that myself. I took this on holiday with me and it really did keep my skin feeling cool, soft as well as feeling good in the evenings. This is great to use both in summer and winter but I do find the benefits of the cooling sensation work a hell of a lot better when the weather is warmer. If you want to read more about this, definitely check out the review for it!

  • Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm.

Another product I’ve reviewedΒ  and used time and time again. I’m currently using it as it’s my go to lip balm whilst I’m in the house. I first tried this after attending VintSetFest and this was in my goodie bag. I’d heard nothing but good things about Carmex but never really thought to use them before but now I love them! I even bought the strawberry flavour not long after getting the original one, which I haven’t loved as much but it’s still good and what I used whilst I was on holiday. I probably won’t buy another one of these for a while just because I want to use my current lip balms up, but I think the next one I will try out will either be cherry or mint.

  • The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector.

I’ve mentioned this hand cream many times and a year later I’m still using the same tube! This tube really is huge and a little bit of this hand cream does go a long way. As this one is for dry to very dry skin it’s perfect for when my hands begin to show signs of eczema and so far my hands haven’t had any issues… Well apart from when I landed in the UK from my holiday, my one knuckle split. Hello cold weather, much? I use this before I head out and whilst I’m out and about, as I often use other hand creams in the house. I definitely recommend this hand cream to anyone who suffers with eczema like myself.

  • MAC Lipstick in Goddess of the Sea.

This is the last MAC lipstick I bought and it’s definitely one of my favourites. It’s a gorgeous purple shade and is cremesheen so it not only lasts ages but looks slightly glossy too. I can’t wait to try this underneath my new Estee Lauder lip liner as I’m sure it’ll look beautiful. I have used it with a dark purple lip liner and it looks really dark and gothic, which I rather like. I especially love the packaging for this due to the water effect, something I am a huge nerd of (I love water!) so this appealed a lot when I went to buy it. I don’t wear this shade as much as I do with some of my MAC lipsticks because it’s limited edition. I think if I find it somewhere cheap I’ll definitely buy myself a back up.

  • Viktor & Rolf BonBon EDP.

Since the start of 2014 when bloggers started to announce the release of these and tell us all the notes and how yummy it smelt I was excited. So when it finally came out in the UK and on the shelves to test out and buy, I gave it a sniff as soon as I could. I fell in love with it, but however I didn’t fall in love with the price and for ages I put off buying it. However before I went to uni I decided it was time to use the points I earn at work to use to buy this, so this cost me NOTHING, not a single penny! I took this on holiday with me and was lovely to wear on days when I wanted something light, but powerful enough to last all evening. If you haven’t smelt this yet, please make sure to as it’s not like anything that is out there at the moment, plus the bottle is adorable.

  • Macadamia No Tangle Brush.

I’ve owned this brush over a year now and it’s by far the best brush I have ever owned. I got it for Β£10 at VintSetFest and since then I’ve not replaced it, although I do need to buy another one asap as this one is getting a little battered now. It’s a no tangle brush, as the title states so it helps me to brush my long hair without ripping, causing damage, or causing any pain to myself. It also feels really nice to use due to the soft bristles. I especially like that this has a handle as it’s easier to hold and means I can have control whilst brushing my hair, unlike brushes like Tangle Teezer’s. I definitely recommend this brush over the Tangle Teezer.

  • OPI Nail Lacquer in How Is Your Dane?

This is by far my favourite nail polish by OPI that I own and there’s a couple of reasons why. First of all the name, which is shared by my boyfriend, who is called Dane. I of course love the shade too, which is a beautiful chocolate-brown shade with a gel like finish. I was going to wear this on holiday but decided against it incase it got ruined due to the heat, or any other reasons. This is definitely the perfect polish to wear throughout autumn and winter, but will be nice to wear throughout all of the year. I like to wear it with glitter nail polish, as well as with a matte top coat to give it a different finish.

So those are my top ten favourite products from 2014! There are already so many more things I’ve found for my top ten for 2015 already.

What were your favourites from 2014? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all.

Holiday Haul

Whilst I was on holiday I think I brought home more items than I took away with me! It was my birthday the day before I went away and my Mom’s the day we flew and it meant I was spoilt with birthday presents and bought myself quite a few items too.

I just want to say I’m not showing off in any way what I was bought/bought myself, I just thought as I love haul posts, that some may enjoy this one. Especially as it’s all things from another country.

I also want to mention that some pictures are from Spain and some are from here, so do ignore the different settings in both images. Oh and that this post will be very image heavy, enjoy!

First of all I want to talk about what we picked up on the plane journey there. I knew I wanted one of these items but when my Mom passed me the others after purchasing them, I was rather touched as I had secretly looked at them but thought deep down how I didn’t need them.

These are the two lip products that we picked up. The one I said that I really wanted is this Victoria’s Secret Very Voluptuous Lip Plumper in Baby Pink. This is a gorgeous lip gloss with a built-in lip plumper, as you can tell by the name. I wore this loads on my holiday and after trying it on on the plane my Mom picked one up for herself. This was only Β£12.50 and I regret not buying another one on the way home. I’m sure Victoria’s Secret in town will stock these (hopefully in more colours!) so I’ll be keeping my eyes on these in the future. I will be reviewing this soon!

Another lip product that my Mom picked up for herself was a set of three Revlon Balm Stains, one which she gave to me. She gave me Honey Douche and although it isn’t really my colour, I bloody love it! I took a variety of lip shades on holiday with me but for the majority of it I wore this as it just worked with my new tan, and it just looks beautiful. It’s a nude pink shade and perfect for my skin tone. I can see me wearing this loads, especially for work. I really want to review this too.

Two of the products I looked at but didn’t ask for, where these two so my Mom must have read my mind when she handed them to me after buying them. They are a three-piece L’Occitane hand cream set, as well as six mini nail polishes from OPI’s Coca Cola collection.

I have to say that I haven’t really used much of the hand creams yet, but I did give the Verveine one a go and it does feel really light on the skin, as well as fresh and moisturised. This one will be perfect for summer! I’ve tried the other two hand creams in the set and will be saving these for a rainy day.

These nail polishes are amazing! I wore most of them throughout my holiday, apart from two shades (Sorry I’m Fizzy Today and Today I Accomplished Zero). My most favourite shade out of the set was Coca-Cola Red, which I wore on my toes throughout my holiday and was so beautiful to wear. I really love this set and is probably one of the best ones I’ve owned! I can’t wait to review this in the future, and hope to very, VERY soon.

I don’t know how long Spain have had Essence, but I know it only came to the UK late last year. So when I eyed up this nail polish whilst out food shopping I just HAD to have it! It reminds me of oil slick shades and because of that, it’s beautiful! These images don’t so it justice, but I know I’ll be reviewing it soon to bring you a hell of a lot more pictures and information about it. This was super cheap too at just €2! The shade I picked up is called You Wow’d Me Again. I wore this a lot on holiday and really loved it, it worked perfectly with the weather.

This is a rather random purchase but where we went on holiday they have quite a lot of Chinese markets with various different items in. It reminds me of a huge version of eBay but in the flesh. My boyfriend knows how much I want a Lucky Cat, so he picked this cutie up for me. You pop in a battery and his arm waves. I left this in my home abroad as I didn’t really want to bring him back home with me and I love it so much! There was something very relaxing about watching his arm waving back and forth, is definitely something I want for my own home when I move out.

I’m such a big softie when it comes to cute things, especially plushies and ones that resemble animals I love. Foxes being one, so when my boyfriend spotted this cute fox plush he picked it up for me straight away. He even bought me a matching keyring version too which I at first kept on my bag, but is now in my room hanging up.

The second plush I bought for myself and is a cute white seal. I saw this in the gift shop of the zoo we visited whilst on holiday and I honestly couldn’t resist him. I’m still really pleased I bought him and I’m currently using him as an arm rest. He made a comfortable pillow on the plane journey home, as well as something nice to snuggle into when I’ve felt a bit crappy. He’s just so soft and lush, and I just came up with his name, Bobby. πŸ˜›

As regular readers will know I LOVE foxes and as soon as I spotted this hoodie in Animal I KNEW I had to have it. My Mom was lovely enough to pick this up for me after I pointed it out to her and I haven’t stopped wearing it since. It’s quite a thick hoodie and I went a size up to ensure it would be nice and baggy, as I don’t like tight fitted hoodies myself. I haven’t seen this in the UK, although I literally just checked the UK website and they do infact have it on the website for a little less than what my Mom paid. So onto the design of this hoodie. It isn’t just a cute fox on it, within the fox is a picture which is beautiful. Inside of is as you can see from the above images there is a picture of a bird, some trees, and a lake. Basically a forest. It’s just so beautiful and I know I’ll wear this throughout the year.

Whilst on holiday I discovered a brand that I have indeed fallen in love with and wish we had here in the UK. This brand being Women’s Secret. I bought so much stuff in there and as there was one only a ten minute drive away from my home, I was there every other day having a nose at what they had. And what makes it even better? They always had a sale going on! Altogether I picked up a wash bag, a pair of knickers, a pack of six pairs of Pusheen knickers, and two sets of pajamas.

The first thing I want to talk about is this cute little Pusheen wash bag that I picked it. I can’t remember how much this was but it wasn’t much. Women’s Secret stocks so much Pusheen and as I love the cute little kitty, I couldn’t help but snatch this up. It’s very roomy and I’ll be using this to use whenever I go on holiday in the future, as well as possibly having it for when I travel to and from my boyfriend’s house.

This was probably my favourite purchase from Women’s Secret, once again Pusheen. In Women’s Secret they sell knickers in packs of six and they usually consist of cute characters such as Pusheen, Hello Kitty, Miffy, Minnie Mouse, and Pink Panther. Alas I really liked the Pusheen ones and didn’t care much about these being Christmas themed either. These were a bargain and I really have been in need of some new knickers.

Speaking of knickers, I picked these cute little ghost ones up for a cheap price too. I wore these quite a bit on holiday and they were rather comfortable so I ended up bringing them back home to the UK. The print on these are rather cute with these little ghosts and I can only imagine that these came out during Halloween. I was after a matching bra for these, which they did sell but all the sizes were WAY too small for me.

If there is something I noticed about Women’s Secret is that their sizing is a little off in comparison to UK sizes, they come up a size smaller which I won’t lie, made me feel overweight. 😦 Anyway, continuing on…

I love Hello Kitty, I always have and I’m pretty sure I always will. The pajamas I took on holiday aren’t exactly the warmest and after the first night there I was frozen solid. Where I have my second home it’s usually boiling hot, however in January it hasn’t been THAT hot, but more like a mild UK summer, which was still good nonetheless. Anyway! So I needed pajamas and so I got these. The print on these is so simple yet gorgeous and I was somewhat sad to leave these behind, but it’ll be more exciting to wear them when I go back.

More Pusheen, and more pajamas. These have come home with me and I can’t wait to wear them next week! Like the Hello Kitty pajamas they’re both extremely comfortable! The t-shirts are both long-sleeved and baggy, whilst the trousers are more like leggings and aren’t super tight, but aren’t exactly baggy either. The print on this set of pajamas is a hell of a lot more pretty than the Hello Kitty pair. On the sleeves and leggings there are cute little faces of Pusheen, which really do look cute. I bought way too much Pusheen from Women’s Secret, but I don’t care, was so worth it!

Every Tuesday and Saturday there is the market nearby where our home is and after a short walk, you’re there. So we decided after such a long time it would be nice to go and have a look around. I won’t lie, it was crap. I think from memory there was only one stall that didn’t sell duplicate items to one, or even two other stalls nearby. I didn’t really have anything in mind that I wanted to buy from the market, more like if I saw something I REALLY wanted to pick up, I might. That’s where these two harem style trousers came from. My Dad bought me two pairs and I can safely say they were worn a lot throughout my holiday, and I’ve even brought a pair back home with me. These are really baggy and comfortable and whilst the material isn’t very thick, it’s somewhat warm. These will be perfect for summer days in the UK seeing as they aren’t the warmest.

I was in need of a pair of flip-flops back home and I knew I wanted a decent pair, so when I spied these Roxy flip-flops, I knew I wanted them. They were in the sale too, so I couldn’t not snap these up. I won’t lie, these weren’t comfortable the first couple of times I wore them and my feet were pretty damn sore afterwards. However after wearing them in they’re super comfortable and I’ll probably wear these loads during the summer in the UK. I’ve not found a nice pair in the UK before, so these will come in handy.

Perfume wise I really was spoilt by my parents and I can’t say I’ll be needing any new perfume anytime soon (although I’ll probably end up buying some!). My Dad bought me a 75ml bottle of Loverdose by Diesel, which I have loved and owned since it first came out so I was excited to get a new bottle. My Mom picked up two perfumes for me, Ralph by Ralph Lauren which is a perfume I’ve wanted since I was a teenager. This is only a small 30ml bottle and is one I’ll keep in my handbag for work. It smells really nice and is rather strong for an EDT.

My favourite of the three is Addict by Dior. I’d never smelt this before until my Mom took me to the shop to pick up something for herself. I can’t describe how it smells, other than it being like a sweet but mature scent. It’s a really strong perfume and lasts for ages! The only flaw with this bottle is the weight, it weighs a bloody ton. This is definitely fast becoming one of my new favourite perfumes. It only cost around €63.00 for a 100ml bottle, but in the UK it costs nearly Β£100! I can’t believe how cheap it was to be perfectly honest and I really do love it.

These were some last-minute presents from my Mom and I can safely say they’re meaningful and lovely. My Mom’s known for ages that I’ve always wanted a Chanel lipstick and whilst we were away she bought me one. I looked at so many shades and I finally settled on this one. This one is the shade Emotion and is the Rouge Coco Shine finish, which is a mixture of a lipstick and lip balm. My Mom bought this the day before me and my boyfriend went home so I haven’t had much chance to wear it, but whenever I have it is has been amazing and I already want another! I can’t wait to review this soon, I’m so excited to show it off.

As well as that she picked me up a new lip liner to go with my Chanel lippy. The one the woman recommended in the store was Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil in Wine. This lip pencil is meant to stay in place for 12 hours, although so far I haven’t found that this does as it says on the tin, but I’m going to test it out at work and uni next week and see how I get on. It’s a gorgeous wine shade, as the shade gives away and works well with most of my dark shades, including my newest.

This isn’t anything special but this is a necklace I picked up whilst I was on holiday and one I have fallen in love with. It’s so simple, yet so nice. It’s two rings linked together to create this cool little necklace. I think it’s meant to be a religious necklace, but I don’t care. They also had these in a black ring instead of blue, but I preferred this one. It wasn’t the cheapest of necklaces but I didn’t care, as I had some euros to use up anyway. I’ve worn this none stop since I got home and I think I’ll be wearing it for a while.

This was one of the last things I picked up before I came home and I’m so glad I found it to buy, as it’s one of my favourite things to wear now. It’s a cardigan by Protest, a surfing and snowboarding company who I hadn’t heard of until we went on holiday. My boyfriend had however and when I told him about a surf shop called Protest where we were going shopping he got super excited and we went there as soon as we could. This is a waterfall cardigan and isn’t the thickest one in the world, but is gorgeous and will be perfect for spring and summer when it starts to get warmer outside. I’m sure I’ll be doing a look book with this in the future! I checked on the UK website and this costs more over here than it did where I bought it from, so I’m pleased about my bargain! It’s a gorgeous white and navy knitted cardigan and isn’t itchy at all! As well as that it has nomadic patterns onΒ  it, which looks beautiful.

When I discovered that there was a Zara a mere fifteen minute drive away from where our home is, me and my Mom knew we wanted to go and have a look. I can just tell you, everything in that Zara was cheap! I think there was only a small part of the store that wasn’t marked on sale, which surprised me. I didn’t really spot anything that took my fancy, however I saw this bag and although I knew I didn’t NEED it, I WANTED it. It was originally €35.99 down to €29.99. I’ve wanted a really nice handbag for a while, as currently I use my backpack for everything so now I have something nice to use whenever I go anywhere special… Ish. Although I would like a Vivienne Westwood bag. πŸ˜›

Just want to first of all say, I know that this t-shirt is creased, I don’t know how it got into this state. :S As you may have seen from my Holiday Wish List post, you’ll have seen this t-shirt on there and whilst I went shopping on holiday I found it and picked it up. It’s this lovely fox t-shirt by Element, one of my favourite skateboarding brands to wear. I own quite a few of their t-shirts and they’re all super comfortable, this one is definitely comfortable too. This actually cost more to buy whilst I was on holiday than what it would have cost here, as after looking it’s now in the sale for Β£9.00, although they don’t have my size. It’s not a very thick t-shirt and was lovely to wear both in the day and in the evening. Whilst it’s chilly in the UK I’ll be wearing a thermal t-shirt underneath it.

I know this isn’t the best picture of my new jeans, but I was pressed for time when getting these pictures and I didn’t have anyone at home at the time to take a picture of me wearing them. These are the jeans I picked up whilst I was away and I can safely say they’re the best jeans I own at the moment. They’re by G-Star and I ended up buying them to wear in the evenings when it was a little on the chilly side. I knew I should have taken some with me! Anyway, I can’t say I remember how much these were, but they’re so damn comfortable! They’re a mixture between a boyfriend fit and skinny fit, which is a perfect jean style for me. They do come down a little baggy on me so I sometimes find I need to roll the bottoms up so that they don’t drag. I can see me wearing these loads now I’m home and especially for university as they’re just so comfortable. I wore these with my new Star Wars Vans that I mentioned in my Boxing Day Sales haul and they looked amazing together.

From the same shop as my jeans I picked up this beautiful maxi dress, it was the reason I ventured into the shop in the first place to be honest. I’ve only owned a couple of maxi dresses and over the years I’ve put a bit of weight on and those two dresses don’t look that great on me anymore… Which sucks. Since then I have gone on to try on other maxi dresses and they all look the same, show off all the horrible parts and don’t even show off my best assets! So since then I have envied smaller girls than myself for being able to wear them, as quite frankly I love the look of maxi dresses. So I did worry when I went to try this maxi dress on that it would do what other maxi dresses had done and in the process make me feel fat and crap. HOWEVER it didn’t do that at all and made all my best assets look a hundred times better! This is a gorgeous navy maxi dress and is really long. On the back there is a see through netting style which looks really nice. This only cost €25.00 which is dead cheap for how lovely it is. I’ll be doing a look book with this very soon.

This was one of the first things I picked up when I went on holiday and whilst I didn’t need it, I’m so chuffed my Mom picked it up for me. I hadn’t even noticed it in the one shop we popped into, until she showed it to me. This is a pretty cool t-shirt, as when you wear it the Vans logo on the front turns pink with body heat. This isn’t a very thick t-shirt but as I said with the Element t-shirt, I can wear a thermal underneath whilst it’s cold in the UK. I wore this quite a lot whilst I was on holiday as it’s so soft and comfortable. I can’t wait to wear this more here.

Whilst I was away I knew I wanted to start a collection of bracelets as whilst I love my Pandora, I wanted something I could wear around the house as well as at work and just all the time basically. The watch was something I saw in a Billabong shop and my Mom offered to buy it for me, considering I didn’t have one. The bracelets all cost next to nothing and are all really nice quality for how much I paid for them. The white peace bracelet was picked out by my boyfriend due to the message on it, which he says sums me up (although of course I don’t agree!) and sadly during my time there and since I’ve come home, it’s began to rub off, which has made me sad. The turtle bracelet is from the same shop and I love it! I was going to buy another one, but I left it in the end. It’s really pretty and I wear it all the time now. I don’t know if its real leather or not mind.

I want to talk about my new watch, because it’s bloody gorgeous! It’s by Roxy and is called Whenever. I spotted it whilst just having a nose at the watches and kind of fell in love. I told my Mom about it and asked me to show her, as she said I would be a fool to leave it as it sounded really nice. The band is real leather and is splash proof, which is handy and was handy whilst I was on holiday. This isn’t a very big watch which I really like, nothing worse than a huge watch hanging off your wrist. These are available in the UK by the way and are currently in their sale.

The last thing I wanted to talk about was my new Pandora charms. My Dad owed me a birthday present and said before we went away that he would buy me a new Pandora charm, so whilst I was having a look for a charm to buy my Mom, I spotted this seahorse charm that I’ve wanted for nearly a year. So he offered to pick it up for me and I can safely say I LOVE it! It really does add some colour to my bracelet, which now seems to be having a turquoise and red theme going on with it. I also wanted the water bead charm, but I ended up buying this myself as a treat and it really does stand out on my bracelet but I like how it works with the seahorse charm and it will always remind me of my holiday away and where my second home is.

I loved my holiday away and I’m so glad that my boyfriend was with me. It was our first proper holiday together and it was amazing being able to show him my second home and where I spend many years of my childhood and early teens.

I’ll be posting more about my holiday very soon in the future, so please keep eyes peeled for that!

I hope everyone has been okay the past two weeks I was away and posts will be back on here starting from today.

Thanks to all my readers who stuck with me whilst I was away for still being here.

Until next time, take care all.
