November ’16 Wish List

Wish lists are getting harder to write now… You know why? Well Christmas is just around the corner and usually in November you stop buying things so that people get the chance to buy you something you want. Well that’s what I know me and a few of my friends do anyway…

Due to that this months wish list was really hard to write. I kept writing ideas down only to then think it would be better suited on my Christmas wish list next month. I eventually came up with some items but due to lack of funds, presents to buy for others and needing to give people ideas for myself this months list won’t be all that great. Sorrrrrrrry (not sorry :P).

  • Bee & Puppycat Vol. 3 – £12.25 (link)

This comes out at the end of the month and I am so damn excited! As Dane has Prime I always ask him to pre-order things for me so I make sure to get them in good time. As this is included on Prime I asked him to pre-order it for me recently. I love the Bee & Puppycat show so I love the comic books just as much! I just wish they would come out a little sooner and quicker though. I really love Bee and hope to cosplay as her at an event one day.

  • Lush Bubbly Shower Gel – £4.95-£16.50 (link)

I recently bought a little bottle of this when I went to the Lush Coventry beauty blogger event (you can read about that here) and since then I have fallen in love. I want to pick up a large bottle when I’m down in the Oxford Street store in a couple of weeks. It has a lovely fresh scent to it that reminds me of Fanta orange. I love to use it some mornings to perk me up. I’ll be reviewing it very soon!

  • Pusheen Self Stirring So Lazy Can’t Stir Mug – £12.99 (link)

I love Pusheen and there’s so much Pusheen stuff I want to get but it’s just about finding stuff I want to buy which I’ll ACTUALLY use! I wouldn’t mind this for Christmas really, as whilst I have a lot of cups and mugs in my cupboard I don’t have a Pusheen one and I definitely don’t have a self stirring one. This also comes with a lid so it’d be great for on the move like before work, on the way home from work, to the shops, etc etc. Also it’d be really nice to make hot chocolates in due to the self stir action.

  • Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in shade Bauhau5 – £16.00 (link)

I was meant to mention this on my wish list last month but I forgot! How dare I! I would have added this to my Christmas wish list next month as I would love at least some money to go and buy one of these myself. However as I am going down to London in a few weeks I may as well pick one up whilst I visit the first Kat Von D counter! That’s if there is any left… I really hope there are to be honest. I have my eye on Bauhau5, a raspberry pink shade. I’ve had my eye on it since I ever heard about the shade, so I know I want to pick it up eventually.

  • Pokemon TCG Dragonite EX Box – £18.99 (link)

I’m a Pokemon nerd through and through and I remember back in the day being obsessed with the trading card game. Me and my friends in my street would play the game all the time and spend our pocket money on new packets of the cards and open them together. That’s some of the nicest memories I hold and remember from a couple of summers during half term. I’ve recently decided that I want to start playing the games again and intend to start collecting the cards again next year. I saw this on a website being advertised and as Dragonite is one of my favourites, I fell in love! I hope to get this for Christmas, or as a treat beforehand.

  • The Pretty Reckless Concert Tickets (no picture added and prices vary depending where the show is held!)

I kind of have to include this on here because it is under my wish list and the tickets come out tomorrow! I’ll be ordering them when I finish work as I really want to go and see The Pretty Reckless live again. I’ve loved them since I saw them support Evanescence all the way back in 2011. I’ll be going with Dane and as of yet we haven’t been to a gig together yet so I’ll be excited to go. AHHH! 😀

  • Pokemon Moon on 3DS – £32.00 (link)

This is the final item I’ll be talking about on the list because it is the one I am most excited for! It is of course Pokemon Moon which I have been super excited for since it was announced. I recently got to play the demo for it which I really enjoyed and after seeing the three new starters final evolutions I am even more excited for it. I guess I’m just glad I only have a couple of weeks to wait for it. I’ll be pre-ordering it closer to its release date. I can’t wait for this! 😀

So that was my wish list for November. I know it was nothing special but I’ve saving all of that for next month and my Christmas wish list! I need to start putting a list together to give people ideas of what they could get for me. Might go and do that now… 😛

On that note, what do you have on your wish list for this month? Apart from plenty of money due to Christmas! 😛 Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and hope you’re having a great week.

Lush Prince Of Darkness Fresh Face Mask – Review

Well I haven’t written a Lush review for quite a while now, have I? I don’t actually know why I went on some sort of hiatus with it, but I’m sure I have my reasons. When I think about it, I’m sure it’s because the majority of products I own at the moment are exclusives from Christmas… I can’t imagine how many Lushies are jealous of me right now.

I finally have a review for you all though today, one that is sadly an exclusive to Lush Oxford Street store, but I do hope deep down that it’ll be available all over the UK soon. Quite frankly this face mask is too damn good for just the Oxford Street store to keep away from so many people!

I recently went to London to pay my friend Sophi a visit, and do some shopping! One of the last places we went to was Lush and I knew from the moment I booked the train tickets for London that I would be going into the store and picking this up. I didn’t actually pay for this face mask, as it was free with my five black pots that I returned to the store! I’m already saving up my next lot of five to take back and get another face mask.

The face mask I picked up was the Prince Of Darkness, and over the month I’ve owned it, it has become my favourite face mask EVER. I didn’t know that I would like it so much, even after the member of staff tried it on the back of my hand in the store. It has just made such an improvement to my skin in so many ways. I noticed I didn’t have any blemishes a week after I started to use it, and due to it containing sea salt, it helped to give my skin a good scrub and left my skin feeling really soft.

As you can see from the image above it’s described as, “We’re on a crazy train, heading for scrubbed up skin with charcoal and sea salt packed into this mask”.

Like all the fresh face masks this only comes in one size, 75g which costs a shocking £6.95! I say shocking because for how much you get, both in size and shelf life it is a rip off to be honest. I did feel like I needed to use this mask more than I would do a normal face mask because I worried I wouldn’t get my monies worth! This being said, it is now over a week since it’s sell by date and I’m still using it. Due to it being a fresh face mask, you’re also meant to keep this in the fridge… Which I only did for a couple of days. Other than that I kept it on the side of my bath, and I didn’t find any issues came up with it. It didn’t cause my skin to break out, nor did it grow mold or change the product itself.

I know this is probably Lush covering their backs, or just suggesting to keep it in the fridge so it feels nice on the skin. I get that! But for anyone who worries that they don’t keep it in the fridge, or use it after the expiry date then don’t panic. If the product doesn’t seem right, then chances are it isn’t. I know from face mask samples I have had in the past Lush have told me they’ll be good for up to three weeks. Within a couple of days in the fridge they went moldy! GROSS!

Anyway, onto the product itself now! As the title (in my mind) suggests, this product wasn’t going to all pretty and pink, it was going to be dark. I thought it might be purple when I first heard about it last year when it was released, but alas it’s black. This is due to one of the ingredients being charcoal, which of course is black. I didn’t know until I tried it out in the shop that this also contained sea salt, which is good for scrubbing the skin. Due to this being s mask that helps to cleanse and scrub, it is great for all skin types, especially people who suffer with greasy skin… So teenagers. 😛

The first thing I noticed about this mask when I first applied it to my skin is the smell, it smells very much like Vicks VapoRub which has a strong eucalyptus scent to it. It doesn’t actually say that it contains this in the ingredients so God knows what I can smell! It also has a slight warming sensation to it, which I found to be nice, and reminded me of what you would get at a spa treatment. However, I know a lot of people who have commented on this factor, and stated how it put them off using the mask. Oh dear! One final thing that I really liked about this mask is how it doesn’t dry, it stays wet, even after 20 minutes of wearing it. This means it won’t flake and crumble everywhere if you decide to walk around the house wearing it.

The consistency of the mask itself isn’t thin, but it isn’t super thick either. It could be slightly in between but with a bit of a thicker side to it, which I really like as it feels like a little bit of this goes a really long way. Of course due to the sea salt it is grainy so don’t be alarmed when you apply this onto your face.

I like to wear this face mask either before or during a bath so that when it has had its 15 minutes on my face I can get a bit of water on my hands and start to exfoliate my skin with the mask before washing it off. It feels like a real treat when I do this, and leaves my skin feeling baby soft afterwards.

Not only have I used this as a face mask but also as a face scrub in the shower too. I grab a good chunk and just rub and scrub it all over my face. The mask itself is so thick that you can get away with doing this. I use it on dry skin so that it really does give my skin a good scrubbing. As well as my face I’ve also used this on the tops of my arms, thighs, and my bum to try and see how it works as a scrub. It didn’t quite have the same affect as it did on my face, but it did the job and was a nice treat.

I leave this on for 10-15 minutes, sometimes 20 if I fancy watching some YouTube videos in the bath for a while, or playing a game on my phone. It never feels like it’s burning my skin, and as someone who suffers from sensitive skin, this is a good thing!

So why is this face mask so good for you? Well charcoal is great for basically pulling out any muck and crap in your skin, especially blackheads. I have noticed mine have gotten smaller a tad since using this mask, which is good! Charcoal is also great for greasy skin, and as I suffer with an oily T-zone I have also found this section of my skin improve, which is amazing! The sea salt has helped to remove any dead skin, so this mask is great for all sorts really.

I didn’t actually expect to love this face mask as much as I have, and I really wish that Oxford Street was closer to home so I could pick this up every month or so to use in my weekly routine. Alas, this isn’t the case sadly… If you are lucky enough to be near that store (or at least traveling to London anytime soon), then I suggest that you go and try this out soon! Whether you buy it, or get a sample, I do suggest you give it a go.

Will I be attempting to get my hands on this again soon? OH HELL YEAH! It is worth every penny, and the next time I’m down in London I’ll be picking up enough to last me until the end of the year!

Have you tried Prince Of Darkness? Make sure to let me know what you think of it! Maybe you didn’t have a good experience with it like I did? Then please make sure to let me know about that too.

Until next time all, take care and have a great weekend!

Lush Love & Light Hand Cream – Review

This is a product I have been meaning to review for quite some time now, but I wanted to make sure I used it enough so I could give you guys a thorough and honest review on it. I’m talking about the newest member of the hand cream family, Love and Light Hand Cream. This was originally an Oxford Street exclusive, but alas like many products this has finally joined the permanent range at Lush, and I’m glad it has as it’s so lovely!

I’ve been using this hand cream for over a month now and it’s absolutely lovely! As regular readers of my blog will know, I suffer from seasonal eczema so I am forever on the hunt for the perfect hand cream to see me through the seasons. Although I picked up the 100g pot, this does in fact come in two sizes, something I didn’t know about until I had a look at this online. The 100g pot retails for £7.95, and the larger 220g pot retails for £13.95. Although at first I wish I had picked up the larger tub, I’m pretty glad I didn’t, as you only need a little bit of this stuff and it really does go a long way!

I use this everyday and it’s a silky smooth, light hand cream which I’ve already said goes a long way. I make sure to slather on this stuff to ensure my hands stay soft and smooth until the afternoon when I get a chance to reapply this. This smells really fresh and of oranges and lemons, which makes sense considering this contains orange blossom. Due to how light this hand cream is it quickly sinks into the skin and leaves your hands soft and smooth, perfect for on the go!

I make sure to use this hand cream at least three times a day! In the morning before I leave for work, the afternoon when I get home, and in the evening before I go to bed. The consistency of the cream reminds me more of a gel, than a cream as it isn’t rich, but light and airy which I love. I like to ideally use this after using the Salted Coconut Hand Scrub so that all the goodness can get into my skin. I usually use this combo at night before bed so it can get to work whilst I sleep.

Usually my eczema plays up around now, leaving my hands feeling sore, red, and very bloody. However my hands are gorgeously soft and smooth, and I can safely say that it is down to Love and Light! It might be too early to say this, or I may have just jinxed it, but I am pretty sure that it’s down to this hand cream that my hands are in such good condition. Due to how light this hand cream is, I pop some into the little black sample pots that Lush give so that I can use this on the go, so I always have some on me!

I’m just so damn surprised at how moisturising this hand cream is considering how light it is. I’ve used so many light hand creams in the past that just didn’t work well for me at all! Due to the eczema I need a good thick cream to penetrate my skin and leave it soft, so the fact that the ingredients in Love and Light is just that good, makes it one of my favourite hand creams to date. It’s an added bonus that it lasts so damn long for how much you pay for it.

Although many may not love this hand cream as much as I do, it is definitely perfect for warm days in the summer, and summer holiday’s in the sun! I’m pretty lucky this works on my eczema, as it may not work so well on people who have it all year around, or daresay worse than I have it.

Either way it is definitely worth picking up a sample of, which alone lasted me a week!

Will you be giving Love and Light Hand Cream a go? Have you already got it? Let me know what you think of it in the comments below?

Until next time, take care all.

Wish List Wednesday – Lush Oxford Street!

So in just a couple of days I’ll be on my way and IN London! I’m still super excited and have already been thinking about what I have my eye on to buy from the Lush Oxford Street store. I’ll only be visiting once (MAYBE twice if we can) and as me and my boyfriend will be wanting to walk around other places and do other things I don’t want to be in there forever. Plus if I budget, I can save money as I don’t want to spend a fortune in there.

So I am trying to not spend more than £30, as I’m quite poor and would like to spend my other money at Hyper Japan, as well as other places in London.

I’ve scouted the internet for as much information as I can get about all of the range as although I want to go and discover products, I want to at least go in with some incline of what I want.

So here are ten products I really have my eye on, I know I won’t be buying all of them due to money, but I would like at least half of them. The ones that are in bold are the ones I REALLY want.

  • Big Bang Bubble Bar.

This doesn’t just look pretty (and remind me of something from the Christmas range) but it also sounds really delicious and up my street! It’s supposedly a zesty bubble bar which contains grapefruit, lemon, and tangerine. One blog online stated that it smells of sweet lemons, like sweeties which sounds delicious. The perfect bath product to use when you need a pick you up! If these DO smell like that, then I can see me picking up two of these.

  • Lava Lamp Bath Bomb.

This one has always attracted my attention since pictures of it first started to emerge onto the internet. I’ve always had a fascination with Lava Lamp’s since I was a kid, so I was intrigued too as it why it was called this. Thank God for YouTube! When this is placed into the bath, the purple bath oil parts of the bath bomb react alongside the orange of the bath bomb and create the effect of a lava lamp. Cool huh? BUT onto the scent! I’ve heard that this one is orange, orange, orange! I love the scent of oranges, they’re just so refreshing and wake you up, which would be perfect for summer mornings and evenings. I’m going to see how I feel about this when I get to giving it a sniff.

  • Supertramp Bubble Bar.

I LOVED Tramp Shower Gel so when they discontinued it, I was absolutely gutted. I had only recently gotten into it and then Lush took it away, so I was pretty sad. What makes matters worse is that Lush do bring this out once in a while through the Kitchen, but they sell it at a jokey price. A price I’m NOT willing to pay. However, now they have brought out a bubble bar in the same scent… At a reasonable price… I can deal with that. If it still smells the same as the shower gel did back in the day then I’ll definitely pick up one, MAYBE two of these. However if it doesn’t and disappoints… No buying from me.

  • Lime Pastille Bath Oil.

As the name suggests, this is going to smell of yummy lime pastilles! Well I hope so anyway. The bath oils are a new addition to the Lush family, although I think they’re out to replace the bath melts… Which I kinda hope not. I have a few reasons for this. 1. I think for the size £2.00 is a lot for ONE of these bath oils. 2. I’ve heard that they aren’t as good as they’re sounding. Either way, I will give these the benefit of the doubt and MAYBE give one or two a go. I love the smell of lime, and lime pastilles were always my favourite as a kid, so I can’t resist the temptation of giving this a sniff. Even if I do like it, I’ll only be buying one as like I said, £2.00 is a lot for what you get!

  • Cherry Blossom Reusable Bubble Bar.

This is definitely something at the top of my Lush wish list! I didn’t think much of it when I first heard about it, but when I heard elsewhere that this smells just like Happy Blooming bath melt and shower jelly, I knew I had to have it! Another product from Lush that I adored and then as soon as I finished one and went to buy another, discontinued. I swear Lush doesn’t like the products that I LOVE. So if this is accurate and it smells the same, I can see me buying more than one for sure.

  • Razzle Dazzle Bath Oil.

Out of the three bath oils I’m talking about on this blog post, I like the sound of this one the most. Described as being like raspberry ripple with lime, it sounds so delicious that I may end up eating it! If this one smells really good I could maybe see myself picking up two… But once again due to the price and how these aren’t meant to be that great, I may JUST get one to give myself a little taste.

  • Key Lime Pie Lip Balm.

I don’t need anymore lip balms… BUT I may need this one… I’ve already mentioned how I love lime, and I especially love key lime pie. Damn yummy stuff. I’ve used one of the Lush lip balms before and it was really good. I would use this around the house, and if I pick it up whilst I’m away in London, I’ll probably use it whilst around London too. I would like this, but I will have to see how I feel about it. I have my eye on the Passionfruit Lip Balm too, but I’ll need to see which is better.

  • Pink Flamingo Reusable Bubble Bar.

This just looks so cute, doesn’t it? I think that’s one thing everyone is loving about it right now too. It supposedly smells similar to The Comforter too, and on a sweeter side, which is perfect for me. I won’t want to use this due to how nice it looks though! I would bold this… But I don’t wanna pick up TOO much… If I do pick one up though, I’d only buy one.

  • Orange Blossom Bath Oil.

Apparently this one is quite a strong bath oil, which sounds yummy! Anything blossom related I usually like, and once again with the orange scents, I’m swaying toward it. I doubt I’ll pick this up though, due to the same reasons as the other two bath oils. I’m not as keen on this one as the other two… So I probably won’t even pick this up.

  • Milky Bar Bubble Bar.

This is one of the products that I’ve been rather excited about. It looks so awesome in the shape of a bottle, but it also sounds delicious too! I think it shares the same scent as the soap with the same name, which is like warm milk and Milky Bar’s. Something I really like due to how comforting they smell. If these are as good as they sound, I can see me buying two.

So that is my wish list on the way to being poor! I might not even buy as much as I probably said I would… Lush lasts me ages and to be honest if I really like stuff enough, I’ll probably end up taking a day trip down to London with one of my friends (hi Sophi!) to pick up a few more bits and pieces.

Have you been to the Oxford Street store yet? If so what did you pick up? If you haven’t been yet what are you eying up? Let me know your answers in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and I’ll be posting before I leave for London.
