May Favourites ’22

Another month is due to end and with that we of course have our monthly favourites! I can’t believe it’s June in four days time, the year is just flying by and I’m not liking it… But I am sort of liking it because excited things are coming up at the start of June!

May was a weird month for me, it was full of bank holidays, and annual leave which left me wanting more four day weeks at work. As well as that, last week me and Dane went to see My Chemical Romance and let me tell you it was amazing! I haven’t been to a show that big to date. The atmosphere was great and took me back to when I’ve seen them live twice previously, as well as to how I used to be when I was younger. If it wasn’t obvious enough, I was a little emo kid. πŸ˜› I’m going to save more details for later on in my monthly favourites, because it obviously counts!

Aside from that, June is looking to be an exciting month for me and Dane! We have the UK Games Expo coming up with my best friend and her boyfriend and then me and Dane have a week off together for our nine year anniversary, which in itself has flown by! For our anniversary this year we’ve decided to go to Manchester for a few days, which we’re so excited for! Like MCR, I’ll talk more about it later in my monthly favourites, as whilst it hasn’t happened yet, it’s something I’m excited about, so it classes as a favourite… Right?

Me and Dane also finished our first Dungeons & Dragons campaign too, which lasted for three years! We had so much fun playing it and can’t wait to start a new campaign in June/July.

On top of all that I’m going to be bloody skint this month, with MCR, UK Games Expo, Manchester AND my car needing to be taxed and serviced… It’s a good job I have plenty to keep me busy. πŸ˜›

Content wise for June I’m hoping to bring you some kawaii AF stuff, as well as some future posts about our Manchester adventures, especially geeky places to shop, fun things to do and good places to eat. I hope yah’ll are excited for it!

Anyhoo, on with the monthly favourites! I really hope you enjoy this months post, I feel like it’s going to be full of me being excited about adventures and MCR. πŸ˜›

Favourite Beauty Product – Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Berry.

I was planning to write a blog post showing off all the goodies I picked up from YesStyle a couple of months ago, but I decided against it as I thought I’d end up showing off the goodies in monthly favourites posts anyway (which I have!). One of the items I picked up is the Laneige lip sleeping mask in berry, which I have wanted to try for as long as I can remember. It’s recently started to hit the UK beauty stores, so it’s becoming more available to us in the west, however the price for the pot is a bit of a joke… Hence why I turned to YesStyle. From memory I only paid Β£10 for my lip sleeping mask, whereas here in the UK stores will charge Β£19 for it. Anyway, I’ve been using it for almost two months now and it’s definitely safe to say I LOVE it! It has definitely made an improvement to my lips, which is great with summer coming around. I don’t just use this at night like it’s known for, I use it in the morning before I start work (if I’m not wearing a lip tint that is), and I apply it before bedtime too. The mask is said to work best overnight as it “dissolves” all the dead skin on your lips, so you wake up with lovely soft lips. A lot of people claim it does what it says, but others claim it’s just Vaseline in a fancy jar, with some colour added to it. As someone who uses Vaseline on a daily basis, this is thicker than Vaseline and really does feel like it’s moisturising more, but that may just be me? To add a little bit of this stuff goes a long way, and due to that, I’ve not really made much of a dent, which is good! To add here, I picked up the Berry scent and it doesn’t really smell or taste like berries to me… But that doesn’t bother me, it would be a plus but yeah, it’s one of them. I’d say if you’re thinking of trying the Laneige lip sleeping mask, go for it, especially if you suffer with dry lips and live for lip balms! If you buy from YesStyle you could always get some of the little “sample” pots too to see what you think of it before buying a bigger jar.

Favourite Film – Jackass 4.5.

This is a recent addition to Netflix and one I was super excited to see! As many regular readers and friends will know, I’m a MASSIVE Jackass fan. I mentioned last month how I’d watched Jackass Forever and that I didn’t love it as much as the previous films they’d made. Jackass 4.5 really did make up for that, I laughed so much and even had to look away a few times in the fear of feeling (or being) sick! It was amazing, I just enjoyed it so much. The amount of times though that both me and Dane said, “Why didn’t they put that in Forever?” was crazy. I need to buy Jackass Forever and 4.5 at some point to add to my collection. If you have Netflix and love Jackass, definitely make sure to check it out! You find out a lot about the new crew members too, which I really liked. I’d love to see them come back and do more now after watching 4.5

Favourite TV Show – Moon Knight.

I’ve been a mixture of excited and nervous/sad to watch Moon Knight, but me and Dane decided to binge watch it one day over the last bank holiday in May and I can honestly say it’s my favourite Marvel TV series to come out to date! There was so much I loved about it, but the thing that made me sad was the fact it’s one of Gaspard Ulliel’s last acting role before he passed away in January. That being said, the show itself was amazing and I need more! The story of Steven/Mark and their role as the Moon Knight, as well as the dark themes and character build up were just incredible! Everyone did an amazing job and honestly, I loved it. Let me say this without spoilers when I say, Steven must be protected at all costs and he’s now up there as one of my favourite Marvel characters alongside Deadpool.

Favourite Music – My Chemical Romance.

Okay, the part of this months favourites I know some of you have been waiting for! At the time of writing this post I am still struggling with some post gig blues and I don’t really know when they’ll go away? I just crave more after last Thursday’s gig and I wish I could go see them again already! First things first, the show was amazing. Gerard dressed up and the band played a lot of popular songs from all their albums to date, including “Helena”, “Teenagers”, “Welcome to the Black Parade”, “Famous Last Words” and of course “I’m Not Okay”. We got to the gig shortly after doors opened, got some merchandise, drinks and headed to our seats. Our seats were shit as they were high up and all the way at the back, even with the screens you couldn’t see fuck all. This being said, I didn’t let it affect my experience of the gig, I was so in my element singing along to the words, watching the screens, the stage and everyone else around me that I was past caring after a while. I almost cried whilst listening to “The Foundations of Decay” due to how proud I am of the band, as well as how happy I am to see them back, as well as almost crying singing “Famous Last Words” and “Welcome to the Black Parade” as they both mean so much to me. MCR are one of the bands that were always there for me when I was struggling with my mental health growing up and especially the day my gran died. I went home to be on my own to grieve and ended up putting on The Black Parade so I had something to occupy my mind. When the song “Disenchanted” came on, I couldn’t stop crying and since that day, it always makes me sad to hear. Alongside all this the show was just incredible! Everyone was so friendly to talk to (when we did) and the atmosphere was one I’ve missed from previously seeing MCR play in 2007 and 2011. I’m just dying to see them again now… Maybe standing tickets next time for shits and giggles or at least closer seats! I was going to write a blog post about the whole day, but I feel like this is enough. πŸ™‚

The Valheim developers bought a real horse | PC Gamer

Favourite Game – Valheim.

This is a game Dane has been pestering me to play with him for as long as I can remember and finally in May I cracked and bought it, which made him so happy! Valheim is a Viking style game where you need to gather resources, build a base, defeat the enemies nearby and ready yourself to defeat even bigger enemies! We spent a weekend playing it together and I soon got my bearings with how the gameplay worked and was. However, tragedy happened when not only did I lose a lot of my stuff in a tomb (and couldn’t get back!), but then some boars we had captured and bred were all killed by an enemy! We both rage quitted after the latter and didn’t touch it for a week or so… Until one of our friends came to join us one evening to play and since then we’ve been playing it more. She’s really helped us build our base, defeat more/bigger enemies, as well as teach us a lot more about the game as she’s been playing it longer than we have. It’s such a fun little game to play, more so with people than alone and I highly recommend it!

Just a few of my favourite things…

Picking up old games/game completion goal – Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX and Persona 5 Royal.

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned on my blog since the start of 2022 how I have started working on completing games I currently own and making note of them on a Twitter thread here. This is something I was inspired to do by my friend Connor, who took part in it last year. I have a lot of games I’ve bought, played for a few hours and then never picked up again. Some games I could sell, whereas others I can’t as I’ve bought on stores/Steam. I decided to start spending less time sitting online window shopping and more time playing the games I love, but have allowed to gather dust!

The first one I want to talk about is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX. This game is a remake of the original Mystery Dungeon games that came out in 2005 on the Game Boy Advance and DS, I still own both of these and loved them to death! The remake DX came out in 2020, just before Animal Crossing: New Horizons so I told myself I would try and complete it before Animal Crossing came out, which didn’t happen. However, what did happen is I got stuck on the second boss (Moltres) and no matter what I did, I just couldn’t get past them, so I ended up resetting the game and starting again. I grinded for ages to make sure I was ready for that boss battle again and last weekend I felt ready to take the boss on! I turned to Dane prior and said, “If I don’t beat this fucking thing, I’m selling the game.” Thankfully it wouldn’t come to that as I beat Moltres, as well as the boss after that too (Articuno), so I look like I’m going to be fine from there! I’m so glad I’ve picked this game up again, it’s making me feel so nostalgic to between 2009-2010 when I picked up both of the original games to play.

Alongside playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX, I’ve also started playing Persona 5 Royal again, which is something I also picked up in March 2020! I hardly played it due to Animal Crossing: New Horizons and only played the first palace and some of the second. I decided to play it over a bank holiday weekend and haven’t looked back since. I genuinely forgot how much I love Persona 5 and the characters behind it, it really means a lot to me as the original game helped me through some dark days. So far I’ve completed the second palace and I’m probably near to beginning the third one from memory. I always recommend Persona 5 to people to play, but these days I often suggest people playing Persona 5 Royal, just because it has more to the story than the original. I’m probably going to focus on completing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX first and then on Persona 5 Royal, depends on my mood I guess. Currently my PS4 is in the living room, which I’d love to move temporarily to my desk in our office so I can play it with Dane in the background as company, but we shall see!

What's On - UK Games Expo

June adventures – UK Games Expo and Manchester.

As I mentioned at the start of this post I have lots of exciting things booked in and planned with Dane and some friends at the start of June, which I’m really looking forward to!

First we have UK Games Expo the first weekend of June, which is a board game convention in Birmingham. Me and Dane went in 2019 and spent WAY too much money (which you can read about here), but we had an amazing time and always said we’d go again, but of course Covid happened… That being said we’ve finally plucked up the courage to go again this year. Due to my anxiety of Covid still, I do still wear masks in shops, as well as around the office at work, so I’m not 100% sure if I’ll wear my mask or not at the convention yet… I’m worried it’ll be really warm and I could maybe die from the heat haha! We’ll see how it goes though! There’s going to be some amazing vendors there from years before that I’m excited to purchase from and support again, plus I’m hopeful we can all play lots of board games and have fun! I’m so happy my best friend recently got into board games, because it means we can all venture to cafes and play games more! Me and Dane got into board games before Covid and then Covid happened… And we couldn’t play board games with many people. 😦

Then as I mentioned before, for our nine year anniversary we decided to go to Manchester as we’ve booked to go to Point Blank Shooting with a voucher I was gifted for my 30th. Point Blank Shooting is a simulation shooting range and bar, offering food and drinks whilst you play on the shooting simulation games! We plan to go and have a day of shopping in Manchester and then head to Point Blank Shooting, finishing up at some themed bars on the way to our hotel. The next day we plan to have some breakfast, more shopping, a big lunch and then heading to Bury for The Arcade Club! My friend Daysei is always telling me how much fun it is there and after showing Dane how many floors of arcade games they are, we booked it in to do! I’m honestly so excited for our gaming and shopping days away for our anniversary, it’s going to be so much fun.

I’m hoping to write Manchester guides and reviews of places we go to, so keep eyes peeled for those!

My Chemical Romance merchandise.

I mentioned earlier about how I went to see MCR last Thursday, well of course I had to grab some merchandise as well and man I bagged a few bits, one which has been semi sought after since. I want to state now, none of these are for sale. xD I also want to state, I apologise for how shit the photo is!

I decided to grab both the tour t-shirts, as well as the Boy Zone t-shirt as well. I couldn’t decide which tour t-shirt I wanted as they were both cool in their own ways. I’m so glad I picked up both after trying them on as they’re so comfortable! All of the t-shirts are in a men’s size large and I could have probably gotten away with a medium, but I like my t-shirts baggy!

The tour t-shirts have the tour dates on the back for their shows between 16th May until 18th June which is always a good t-shirt to have. On the front of the short sleeved is an updated version of the bloody bride and groom from the Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge album, which I just had to get for that alone! On the front of the long sleeved there are some skulls and bones, as well as “Decay” written backwards. I LOVE the long sleeved t-shirt the most and already can’t wait to wear it. I’m really into my long sleeved band t-shirts lately to wear with joggers, skirts and trousers for a relaxed look.

Finally the Boy Zone t-shirt that everyone has gone mad for! I knew I had to pick this up and even though I probably won’t wear it out and about, I’ll definitely live in it at home on lazy days. It was designed by Kerin Cunningham with support from Gerard Way. It honestly reminds me of my early teens where I would always buy the music magazines that was full of bands, love quizzes and more. I honestly love it so much!

So, there we have it guys, all of my favourites from May! I honestly can’t believe we’ll be going into June in less than a week now, it’s really flown by. The whole year is, Christmas is just 6 months away now… How crazy is that?!

What were your favourites from May? Did you go and see My Chemical Romance in May too? If you did tell me all about your feelings, thoughts, etc! I’m eager to hear everyone’s stories and experiences. πŸ™‚

Until next time all, take care and have an amazing weekend!

February Wish List ’21

I honestly can’t quite believe it’s February already… 2021 is already flying by and it only feels like yesterday that I was going back to work after the Christmas/New Year break!

I have to be honest here and say, I am on a spending ban! I spent a lot of money before Christmas and I suffered during January due to it. It’s not all bad though as it means I can save up for stuff in the future, especially things to do with my house!

Some of the items on this months wish list I’ve pre-ordered, with one item arriving already which is pretty good! Seriously though guys I’m on a MAJOR spending ban this morning and I might even do it going into March as well, just to try and save lots of money to do stuff to the house. πŸ™‚

  • Kittynaut Soot Sprite Enamel Pin (link)

I really love Kittynaut’s designs, especially the Studio Ghibli related ones. I really like the look of this Soot Sprite enamel pin, which reminds me of a collar pin. The Soot Sprites look so cute and happy with their sugar candy! I’d love to wear this with a shirt on the colour to add something different, or maybe even on a sweater on the neck. I’m definitely going to look in ordering this via their Etsy in the future!

  • Razer Base Station V2 Chroma in Quartz (link)

I mentioned in my monthly favourites that I recently picked up the Razer Kraken Quartz gaming headset and I LOVE IT! I don’t just use it for work, I use it for personal too whilst playing games with friends, D&D sessions with friends and also phone calls with friends via Discord and Messenger. At the moment when I’m not using the headset I wrap the cord around it and keep it on our shared desk. In the future I would really love the Razer Base Station in the matching Quartz colour as not only would it be able to hold my headset on the desk, but it also looks like you can have some USB items plugged into it too, due to the ports at the base. This isn’t something I would buy soon, I’d prefer to wait a while, especially if I can get my own desk in the future.

  • Persona 5 Strikers PS4 (link)

To think when I was in Japan in January 2020, this game was coming out late February 2020. There were no talks of it coming out in the UK and people worried we wouldn’t get it. I knew we would deep down and it’s FINALLY coming out in the UK at the end of February! I made sure to get my copy pre-ordered so I don’t miss out. I pre-ordered from Gamersheek as they have the BEST game prices out there! Plus, if you see a game cheaper elsewhere, but would prefer to buy with Gamersheek, they’ll match the price for you. They’re my go to for games in 2021! Honestly I am really excited for Persona 5 Strikers, but I am disappointed the name “Persona 5 Scramble” wasn’t kept like how it is overseas. If you’d like to read a review all about Gamersheek, make sure to check out this post from last year where I spoke aboutΒ Persona 5: Royal.

  • MartithArt Foxtober Throw Blanket (link)

I’ve had my eye on this blanket for quite a while now and I’d still love to get it but meh spending ban. πŸ˜› I love foxes and I love being snuggly and warm so this blanket is perfect for me. MartithArt appears to have created this during “Foxtober” which I can assume is a drawing challenge for October. The designs are gorgeous and the size of this blanket looks like it would be perfect to pop on my lap whilst working at the desk to keep snug and warm. I’ll definitely pick this up in the future, but not yet due to spending ban.

  • Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Kōrin Kimono Ver. (link)

This is an Nendoroid figure I pre ordered MONTHS ago through YY Kawaii (yykawaiimerch1 on Instagram). I saw it and I knew I had to have it quite frankly. We only own one Miku Nendoroid figure, which is the snowboarding Miku from back in 2016. As Dane is a snowboarder (and I’ve done a little!) we knew we had to get her! However, with the kimono version she just looked so pretty and it sort of reminded us of our Japan holiday too from January 2020. I’m already unsure where she’s going to go once she arrived, but I’m tempted to have her in the office so I can look at her whilst I work. She’s due to arrive in February! Would you guys like to see her reviewed on my blog or Instagram page? Let me know. πŸ™‚

  • Pin & Tonic Sakura Fox T-Shirt (link)

Pin & Tonic is an independent UK artist/store that I’ve always seen floating around social media in the past and eventually followed. I recently got wind of their fox and tanuki/raccoon designs AND a sale on their store, so I went to check them out. I stumbled across this sakura fox t-shirt and have fallen in love with the design! It’s the perfect mixture of my favourite animal, my favourite tree and sakura reminding me of Japan too! I would love to pick this up in the future, as it would be lovely to wear. The colours work so well!

  • Bravissimo Flora Bralette (link)

This is the final item on my monthly wish list and one item that has arrived. This is by far one of my favourite purchases of 2021 so far (spoiler alert, I’ll be talking about it in February’s favourites!) as it’s the most comfortable bra I’ve ever bought! I bought quite a few new bras at the start of 2021 as I knew I was due some new ones, I opted for an old favourite, as well as a new design. I love both, but since working from home wearing a bra all the time is something I’ve… Not… Done… Just being honest! I’ll be honest, I’m not a small busted lady anymore so sometimes my boobs just need a break from the wire, especially if I’m sat at my desk all day and potentially slumping and uncomfortable etc. I’d heard nothing but good things about non-wired bras, but never understood the appeal. I decided to get one myself after seeing good reviews about the flora bralette from Bravissimo. It’s amazing and when payday comes at the end of the month I will be buying another. I’m not going to talk too much here as I want to talk more about it at the end of the month. πŸ™‚

Anyhoo, those are the items I have on my wish list for February! As I’ve said various times throughout this post, I am on a spending ban this month so I’m going to be good. I may even continue it into March, but that won’t stop me from creating another wish list next month! πŸ˜€

What do you all have on your wish lists for February? Make sure to let me know in the comments below!

Until next time all, take care and stay safe. πŸ™‚

Gamersheek and Why You Should Shop With Them*

The title of today’s blog post is pretty self explanatory and to the point… Just the way I like my blog posts!

Today I am talking to you all about Gamersheek, a company I befriended in 2018 and who I have worked with a few times now, including today. I don’t know if you guys are feeling the way I am, but whilst we are in quarantine I have been shopping loads online… I can’t help it! If I’m not playing games, or binging stuff on Netflix, I’m window shopping and making cheeky purchases.

Gamersheek right now is one of the best places to go and shop if you’re a geek like me who loves gaming, repping your favourite game with clothing and merchandise and more!

Gamersheek were founded in 2015 by Sean with his vision being:

To have a company that was the go to place for all the Gaming “Chic”, from hoodies to Pikachu boxers, hence the company name Gamersheek!

Not long after I discovered Gamersheek, they relaunched their website with a new partner and started to sell video games and more!

The way I discovered Gamersheek and started working with them is through my love of Persona 5. I’ve been gifted and bought Persona 5 related merchandise from Gamersheek, with my most recent gifted item from them beingΒ Persona 5 Royal*, which has been a great new addition to my home with the lock down!

The one thing I really love about Gamersheek’s website is that they have a “Fandoms” section, so if you’re after a certain fandom, you can go here and find everything listed under it, including games, clothing, figures and more!

Videos games, they stock both consoles and games from Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. They also have a “Brand of the Month” section, which their current brand being Cyberpunk 2077. I know everyone (me included) is excited for this game and although it was originally planned to come out this week, it’s now been pushed back to September. Alongside the game, you can also pick up some figures from Gamersheek, which look pretty damn good.

When I look at pre-ordering or treating myself to a new game, I always make sure to try and get the best price possible and this is something Gamersheek are great at. Their prices are really fair and to make things even better, they offer price matching! For those who may not know what this is, it’s when a store will match a price if you have found it cheaper elsewhere in the UK.

Gamersheek will always try and offer a price match against their competitors, which I think is really good! However, this isn’t something they are doing with video games, which is a shame BUT that being said, their video game prices are amazing anyway.

With anything else on their website, they will price match, unless you have found bootleg products at a cheaper price. It goes without saying why this is a no no…

When you try and request for a price match it will explain in more detail, as well as some points to think of when claiming.

At the moment there aren’t many games that I happen to have on my wish list, especially since Animal Crossing: New Horizons came out last month. However, I do have a few items I like the look of, which I will quickly talk about and link down below:

Catherine Full Body – Nintendo Switch (link)Β – When the originalΒ Catherine came out in 2011 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, I wanted a copy on the latter console. I never got one though and I never really regretted it. However, now that the game has been remastered and re-released on the PlayStation 4 AND soon on the Nintendo Switch too, I’m happy to finally pick the game up. It’s by the same people behindΒ Persona 5Β and you guys know my feelings on that game series.

I had a look at Animal Crossing related items. I sort of regret not picking up the limited edition Switch console for New Horizons, but at the same time… I don’t! I do however want to get some of the amiibo figures (as well as some more of the cards) so was happy to see that some of them are still available to pick up from Gamersheek, including Blathers and Reece.

Finally I couldn’t venture onto the Gamersheek and not search for Persona 5! I noticed that they are selling the Persona 5 Shujin Academy hoodie, which I may have to treat myself to this at some point… Especially with how my daily “uniform” at the moment is hoodies and leggings or joggers. πŸ˜›

Overall I really love what Gamersheek is doing, as they’re slowly moving up in the world of game merchants and I’m so proud as a friend and shopper to see them progress so well! πŸ™‚

Do you think you’ll buy some new games from Gamersheek anytime soon? If so, let me know which games you would like to pick up soon to add to your collection.

I’m off myself now to continue playing Persona 5 Royal… As well as Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Until next time, take care and keep safe. πŸ™‚

February Favourites ’20

I know I mentioned on my life lately post that I would only be uploading/posting on Saturday’s moving forward, but my monthly favourites have always gone up on the 1st of each month. This isn’t a tradition I’m letting go of anytime soon! PLUS I didn’t see the point in having a post up on the 29th February and then one on the 1st March. It just seemed really pointless at the time…

I know February is a short month anyway, but damn did it fly by! Although to be fair, waiting for payday to come around felt like forever… πŸ˜›

February was a bit like a roller coaster with lots of ups and downs, but overall it was okay… I ended up having flu towards the end of the month, which sucked. I’ve come out the other side into March though, so it’s all good!

I’m so damn excited for this month. There are three games coming out that I’m excited for AND of all my favourite game franchises too! Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Persona 5 Royal. So yeah I think March will be a busy one for me. πŸ˜›

After coming back from Japan I’ve felt a little down with some post holiday blues, but I’ve tried to get back into the norm again and I’m okay… πŸ˜› Until I go on another holiday! πŸ˜› Speaking of Japan, I know since I’ve come back I’ve only done one post but I’m trying to pace them out nicely. I don’t want to flood you guys with Japanese content and as I would like to write more about Japan on my blog in the future, this isn’t exactly a bad thing!

Anyhoo, enough of me waffling away… On with my favourites from the month!

  • Original Source Tropical Coconut & Shea Butter Shower Gel.

Okay I’ll be honest with you guys… I originally had a different product here for my favourite this month but that has been removed, scraped and GONE! Why? Because I learnt how shit the product actually was! The shower gel in question was Treacle Moon Gentle Powder Love Bath & Shower Gel. This shower gel smelt great, wasn’t cheap and ended up leaving my skin sore, dry and flakey… Which sucked! I had lovely soft skin during my trip to Japan, so the fact I came back and my skin had dried out, I put it down to a mixture of the products in Japan being better and the cold weather in the UK. Alas, this wasn’t the case. It turned out that the Treacle Moon shower gel is just… SHIT. I picked up this Original Source shower gel as to be honest, their products are always good. Not even a week into using the product and my skin has already improved, which I am so happy and relieved about. I get bouts of eczema and I started to panic this was one of them. This shower gel is amazing, not just for it’s ability to bring my skin back to life… It smells of creamy coconuts, which in turn always remind me of Fuerteventura and sunshine, but it’s cheap! This bottle cost us a Β£1, whilst the Treacle Moon cost me Β£3! I think I’m going to write a complaint as I’m annoyed at what it did to my skin. Sorry for the ramble by the way… πŸ˜›

  • Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask.

I picked this face mask up on the plane home from Japan. I’ve wanted to try this face mask for a while now, but just never got round to picking one up. I didn’t realise how expensive it was until I checked out how much it retails for… Β£40 and up! Shocking price to be honest with you… So when I saw this for sale on the plane for Β£35, I thought I would treat myself. I’ve used it a couple of times now and I really love this! I find if I’ve broken out and I used this face mask, it really does help my spots to calm down and go away! I use this once a week/fortnight due to using other products, or my skin not needing a face mask. However, due to the price, I don’t know if I will repurchase… 😦

  • Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint in shade PK003 Sweet Potato Red.

After picking up the Etude House Dear Darling tint in Japan, I knew I had to get another one. I’ve had the sweet potato red shade on my wish list for quite some time now, so I found one on eBay and ordered! I am so glad I picked up this shade for so many reasons. The shade itself is gorgeous and reminds me of a colour I could call “my lip colour but better” if that makes sense? Also this is the newer packaging and product formula for this tint and this is SO MUCH BETTER! You don’t get loads of product on the applicator, it’s not as watery and it’s just great. I’ll definitely be reviewing these tints very soon!

  • The Body Shop Peppermint Reviving Pumice Foot Scrub.

I picked a new one of these foot scrubs up from The Body Shop as I was in DIRE need of one! I’m going to put it down to that bloody Treacle Moon shower gel again, as my feet were so soft and smooth during my trip to Japan… My feet needed some major TLC this month so this foot scrub has been really good to use on my feet a couple of times a week, just to give them a good scrub over! I like to use this in the shower as the last thing I do before I get out and then before I put my socks on I’ll slather my feet in my favourite lotion. My go to at the moment is the Childs Farm Baby Moisturiser with Shea & Cocoa Butter – which you can read about on one of my previous favourites posts here.

  • Maui Moisture Smooth and Revive Vanilla Bean Shampoo.

I picked this shampoo up just before I went to Japan and I have no regrets! I was after a shampoo that would lather easily, smell amazing, give my hair all the benefits we seek from a shampoo AND not contain any sulphates. This shampoo ticks all of the boxes and I couldn’t wait to talk about it on my blog this month. This shampoo goes a long way and you only need a little because of how thick it is, which is perfect for me. I hate shampoos where you needs loads in order to get a decent lather behind it. This smells so creamy and to be honest with you, I wish Maui would create a shower gel that smells just like this! I would be in heaven. πŸ˜› This shampoo is for smoothing and reviving your hair… I don’t know if IΒ needΒ these benefits for my hair, but even so I really love this shampoo. It isn’t cheap at Β£5.99 BUT when you can buy Head & Shoulders for a Β£1 less… FYI Head & shoulder is one of the WORST shampoos out there that you can buy!

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – O Maidens in Your Savage Season.

This is an anime me and Dane binge watched not long after we got back from Japan. Dane is great at finding new anime series to watch together and this is one I fell in love with. It’s about a group of girls in a literature club who are going through puberty. You see the view from both the girls and the guys and how they’re all impacting each others sexual feelings… And awakenings if you will. It just reminded me of being a teenager and it’s a typical coming of age anime, which I LOVE.

Favourite Movie – 1917.

I loved this film so much. I was intrigued by it, but not fussed about watching it in the cinema… However, after someone I work with went to watch it and told me how amazing it was, I soon changed my mind. That and everything I had heard about it, I knew I had to see it for myself. Me and Dane booked it in the week after work and we’re so glad we did. We fell in love with this film for so many reasons. The way it is filmed, the editing, the acting, the story, just everything about it. I ended up crying at the end too… If you haven’t been to watch it yet, I recommend you do so as soon as possible before showings stop.

Favourite Book – Guys…

Guys I’m sorry. February was a bizarre month of being hella busy after Japan (both social and work related), as well as me being poorly with flu/chest infection… It sucked and reading was the last thing I wanted to do. It sucks because I said to myself that once I returned from Japan I would catch up on my manga so far as well as read new manga series. This hasn’t happened and I’m annoyed. 😦

Favourite Album – Billie Eilish – When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

I decided this year that I wanted to listen to more music. I find I listen to the same stuff all the time and there are a lot of artists out there I would like to discover more of. Billie Eilish is an artist that blew up and I admit, I do like a couple of her singles (“Bad Guy” and “Lovely”) so, why not listen to her album? I didn’t fall head over heels in love with it, but I did enjoy listening to it whilst driving to and from work, as well as whilst I was at work. I especially love the song “Bury a Friend” which I haven’t been able to stop listening to since I first heard it! I definitely recommend giving this album a listen. It reminds me of a new genre of “depressing pop” and I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing…

Favourite Game – Neopets and Pokemon Shield.

Okay… Hear me out. Since before Christmas I have wanted to play on my old Neopets account. Sometimes I just want to play something simple, but I couldn’t get into my account due to email and password issues. I reached out to Neopets for months for help, but I didn’t receive any. After some digging around I finally managed to get into my account and since then I’ve been playing it for a few hours everyday! I forgot how shit, but addictive the games are, how you can grab a free slice of omelette and jelly daily and basically how the website hasn’t changed since I last went on in about 2016/2017… This being said it has really cheered me up to play after work when I’ve been feeling blue. It especially kept me entertained when I was poorly with my flu too, which isn’t a bad thing. Next month I will be super busy with games, so Neopets won’t have as much attention… πŸ˜›

Towards the end of the month I was really poorly (still am NGL!) and had to have some days sick at home. Due to the boredom of not being able to do much (apart from binge watch episodes and clips from Would I Lie to You? I decided to pick up Pokemon Shield again and try to finish the game, as well as complete my Pokedex. Well, this has now become an addition for myself AND Dane, who said he wouldn’t pick Pokemon back up until June when Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra are released. We are both working together now to complete our Pokedex’s and we’ve really been enjoying it!

There you have it guys, those are my favourites from February! Again, I honestly cannot believe how quick this month went by. I am so fucking hyped up for March for so many reasons! All the games, being able to go to Birmingham Comic Con, a blog related event I’ll be attending and more! πŸ˜€

What were your favourites from February? Do you have any exciting things coming up in March? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend so far. πŸ™‚

2019 Top 3 Favourites

It’s the first day of 2020 and I am spending it in the laziest way possible… Sat on my cuddle chair, in my pyjamas and wrapped in a blanket. I don’t think I can get any cosier to be perfectly honest with you. πŸ˜›

I decided to do an overall top favourites post for 2019, as December doesn’t have anything special on it that my January 2020 favourites won’t miss out on in a months time. I didn’t so a December 2018 favourites last year and no one missed it to be fair.

I really love writing my favourites post, I can reflect over the month on things I loved and I enjoy writing about them too and sharing with you all. However, 2019 wasn’t a good year for reading for me. I seem to have been too busy seeing friends or chilling on games, my phone or watching something on the TV… Which is a shame. 2020 is the year I will be trying to read a hell of a lot more! I do miss reading my favourite manga series as soon as the books come out in the UK, but at least 2020 means I will haveΒ more to read now… See, past Nat was doing future Nat a massive favour! πŸ˜›

Anyhoo, no more nattering, it’s time to show off my op 3 from 2019, as well as runner ups. πŸ™‚ I really hope you enjoy the first post of 2020!

Christmas 2019 Wish List

Last Christmas I decided to do a wish list post about what I wanted as a teenager for Christmas in comparison to what I wanted now. I would love to do something like this now, but I honestly don’t think I can top what I did last year. That post was perfect and I loved it so much!

This year when I’ve been asked what I’d like for Christmas, it’s been kinda hard to decide… With our trip coming up soon I’m trying to save a lot of money for that and when it comes down to having anything for myself, I honestly can’t think of anything I want… So this year has been tough.

Not just for myself, but I’ve struggled to buy Dane’s Christmas presents this year! I wanted to make sure he had loads of exciting things to open, that he wouldn’t even think of buying himself, so I hope he loves what he’s been gifted with! πŸ˜€

Anyhoo, my list is very geeky and Japan heavy! πŸ˜›

  • Nintendo Switch Taiko no Tatsujin.

This is a game I have wanted for quite a while now and I’m pretty sure it’s one I have mentioned on my blog from time to time on wish list posts. I am putting it on here for Christmas as I STILL want it! This is a game I have tried the demo of and loved, it was fun and I could see myself playing it both on my Switch Lite as well as on Dane’s Switch console with the drum attachment. I’m not crazily after it, but it would be nice to have. Sadly, it isn’t cheap and whenever I found it cheap I just couldn’t justify it. 😦

  • Nintendo Switch Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy.

This is a game I discovered not long after I bought my Switch Lite back at the start of November and it’s one I am intrigued by. I do enjoy puzzles games and the Layton games are always a series that has intrigued me, but one I just never invested in… I have a feeling this is a gift I will be receiving for Christmas, which will be really nice! I always love getting games for Christmas as it’s sort of a tradition. My parents or brother(s) would always buy me a game for my console of choice at the time, so I always loved spending Christmas and Boxing Day playing them.

  • Juniper: The Happiest Fox 2020 Wall Calendar.

Dane always buys me a calendar for the year ahead, no ifs or buts. It’s definitely a tradition we have now and it’s one I love! For a while he always bought me a Simon’s Cat calendar, then for a time it was Pusheen and now we have settled onto Juniper! I love foxes and Juniper is a fox I especially love, alongside her brother Fig, who is in this calendar! I can’t wait to write loads of stuff on it already of everything we have coming up during 2020.

  • PlayStation 4 Persona 3 and 5 Endless Night Collection.

This isn’t a gift I’m SUPER psyched about having, but due to my love of the Persona series, it is a game I would enjoy having to play at home! It includes both the Persona 3 and Persona 5 dance games on the PS4, as well as a download code for the Persona 4 dance game for PS4 too! I actually already own this on the PS Vita, but having it on the PS4 would be so much better.

  • Nichijou Manga Volume 9 and 10.

This is a manga series that now seems to have finished on volume 10. I only need 9 and 10 to finish my series for Nichijou, which is a manga (and anime series) that I love! This is a manga series that Dane has bought me since we got together and I do love receiving these from him each Christmas. I doubt very much I will get them this year, but even so in 2020 I will definitely pick these up for myself.

  • Nendoroid Figures:
  • Star Wars Han Solo
  • Star Wars Luke Skywalker
  • Star Wars Rey
  • Star Wars BB-8
  • Star Wars Princess Leia

I always ask for a Nendoroid figure (or two) during Christmas and my birthday, but this year I REALLY struggled! I’ve either pre-ordered or own the Persona 5 series and some I want are hard to find now. I do hope I get one, maybe even two of the Star Wars Nendoroid figures. Apparently I do have a Nendoroid figure for Christmas… But I can’t for the life of me think which one it could be!

I think that’s about it for my Christmas wish list this year! I feel like I’ve been rather boring, but to be honest I have been a bit stumped on what I would like for Christmas with my trip to Japan looming.

I’ve also struggled to buy for people this year for so many reasons! It’s really sucked to be honest. xD

What do you have on your Christmas lists this year? Jesty ideas are welcome too (aka new car, a pet etc).

Until next time, Merry Christmas all and I hope you have a lovely day whatever you do. πŸ™‚

8 Games I’m Excited To Play

This evenings post is something I have wanted to write about for a while. I’ve been a gamer since the age of 5 and proud of that! My first console was a Super Nintendo Electronic System (SNES for short), which I still own to this day! Soon after that I was gifted a Game Boy, with a Tetris cartridge in. I loved that game so much, I never got bored of the games music either. πŸ˜›

There’s quite a lot of games coming out this year and even next year that I’m already excited about, so I thought I would share those here with you all! I talk a lot about gaming to be honest with you… In the “real world” if you will, but I feel like I never talk about gaming on my blog as much as I would like to. I want this to change and in the future I would even love to film myself playing some games to pop up on YouTube!

I know not a lot of people can afford games, or are interested enough in them to play them themselves and just want to see the story. I’m like that myself to be honest with you. I’m really interested in Cyberpunk 2077 BUT the reason it didn’t make it onto this list is because I doubt I will play it and instead I would watch my boyfriend Dane play it instead. I’ve done this time and time again with games and I have zero regrets.

Let’s start talking about the games! This post will be a long one. πŸ˜›

  • Untitled Goose Game – Out 20th September 2019 Nintendo Switch (link)

This is a game that I’m gutted I never got to play at EGX… I’ve seen people playing it and watched videos of trailers etc but as of yet I have not had the chance to try. I’m not going to lie, I had forgotten all about this game to be honest with you! It’s only from looking at my EGX post last year that I discovered it again. This is a goose simulator game, where your task is to annoy humans as much as possible! You get tasks you have to do to complete the level. I cannot believe this is out next week! I hope it is in the UK anyway… If so I will be buying it and spending my weekend playing it with Dane. Apparently this is available on Steam too, but I’ll be getting it for the Switch.

  • I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator – Out 24th September 2019 on Steam (link)

This game was announced this morning. I read about it on Twitter and I am already smitten with the idea of this game. I’m not like a massive KFC fan or anything, but the fact this is a dating sim game AND it is made by KFC makes me fucking laugh. It’s out in a couple of weeks (again, hopefully in the UK again as well) and not only do I plan on getting it, but I also plan on filming myself playing this game. I’m so damn excited for it, that I need to share the shits and giggles of playing it with others.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 – Out 31st October 2019 on Nintendo Switch (link to Smyths)

I’ve never played the Luigi’s Mansion games, but I’ve always wanted to! I never played the first game as it was around when I didn’t own a GameCube and I never played the second one because I didn’t play the first one! I’m pretty sure you don’t need to know the story to play this game. You’re Luigi (the better of the two plumber brothers, in my opinion!) with a Ghostbusters style kit and you’re in a haunted mansion. What more is there to explain, really? This isn’t a game I plan to rush out and buy the date it comes out, but if I found it at a decent price I’d definitely pick it up to play with Dane, as this is a two player game! I love that this is out over Halloween! Perfect timing to be honest with you. If a demo comes out I’ll definitely give that a go.

Pokemon Sword & Shield – Out 15th November 2019 on Nintendo Switch (link to Smyths here, here and here)

This game is already on pre-order and I’ve even bought both of the games, one for me and one for Dane! Of course for the time being I’ll be sharing Dane’s Switch (which we have been doing since he bought it in 2018) alongside him to play this game! I still don’t know which game I want to play yet, but for me it will entirely depend on which game has the best exclusives. I’m very much excited for these games though, as I have a feeling Pokemon have learnt from how lame Sun and Moon were and worked really hard to bring us better game play. Gyms are back and we also have some new features in Sword and Shield! I’m definitely swaying towards Sword though. πŸ™‚

Alchemic Cutie – Out 2019 on Steam (link to Steam)

At EGX last year I gave this game a go and I really enjoyed playing it! It reminds me of Animal Crossing with the game style and is a very relaxing game. You live on an island that is home of jellies, which you must go out and tame to make them your own. Then once you have these jellies you can participate in competitions with them and more! It was definitely a cool little game I played during EGX and one that stood out to me the most. There isn’t an official release date yet, but it just says 2019 at the moment. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled on this, I really like relaxing games, especially after a long day at work.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Out 20th March 2020 on Nintendo Switch (link to Smyths)

I don’t think I need to say a whole lot about this game. Everyone knows how much I love Animal Crossing and just how damn excited I am for New Horizons to come out on the Switch. As of yet I haven’t actually pre-ordered the game, as I’m praying that Nintendo will release a Switch console (normal or the Lite) to coincide with the new game. Even if it doesn’t, I’ll still be happy, but either way I would still pick myself up a Switch of my own as I would like one for playing games like this. I know Dane is planning on picking up New Horizons too so that we can play this together. This looks like there’s so much more to do now than ever before and alongside the old school Animal Crossing, it also reminds me of Minecraft too, where you need to craft and build things. Honestly, I can’t stop thinking about this game and for the time being I am trying to keep my Animal Crossing cravings at bay with Pocket Camp! πŸ˜›

Calico: Magical Girls Running Cat CafΓ©s – Out April 2020 on Steam, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 (link to Kickstarter)

Next we have Calico, a game that I backed over on Kickstarter quite a while ago now! I stumbled across this game and after keeping my eyes on it for a couple of days, I decided to back! Again, as the game’s name explains, Calico is a game about two magical girls who are running cat cafes. This game reminds me of Animal Crossing, where you need to look after your cafe, whilst gathering cats and other animals from the woods nearby to host in your cafe. You can also create massive animals too who you can ride, including a red panda! I am so excited for this to come out in April and I although it is available on all consoles, I decided to get it on the Switch, as this is a console I have really loved playing my games on of late. πŸ™‚

To The Rescue! A Dog Shelter Simulator – Out August 2020 on Steam (link to KickstarterΒ and Steam)

Finally we have the last game on this post! I’ve actually backed this game on Kickstarter. It was one I wasn’t sure about and due to that ummed and ahhed for ages about it. I’m glad I backed it in the end however, as I think I would have regretted it. As the title of the game tells you, this is a dog shelter simulator game and as you would in a dog shelter, you look after any dogs that come in, try to get them adopted and more. There is even a point in the game where you may need to put a dog to sleep if it’s not adoptable, or been at the shelter too long. However, this is a an optional option for the game, so if you don’t want to do anything like this, you don’t have to. This game isn’t going to be out for just under a year now, which is crazy! It’ll be worth the wait though.

So those are all the games I am excited for for the remainder of 2019, as well as 2020! I didn’t quite realise how many games I’m hyped for until writing this post, as well as how many I have pre-ordered.

Which games are you excited for? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’ve had a great week so far!

November Favourites ’18

Merry Christmas Nom GIF

Image taken from GIPHY

We are FINALLY in December and I’m not quite sure if I’m excited or meh about Christmas yet… Or the fact that 2018 has flown so damn quickly! Also I’m 29 in almost less than a month. Urgh can’t deal with that right now. πŸ˜›

I’m going to try so hard to do Blogmas this year as I would really like to. It wouldn’t be something special every day, but it would at least be SOMETHING on my blog, you know? I’d mostly try and fill quiet days in with advent calendar stuff, as well as what I’ve been up to.

Due to the fact November flew by so quickly, I feel like I never got the chance to really think much about what I loved. I had a long think about it though and I finally came up with what I loved throughout the previous month!

  • Marc Jacobs Decadence EDP.

My brother actually bought me this perfume a couple of years ago for Christmas AND I KNOW perfume has a use by date on it (like all things…) but I never adhere to these things. πŸ˜› I really love this scent as it’s so unique and yet has a feminine and slight masculine scent. The bottle itself is gorgeous! This is a proper going out perfume, but I love using it all the time. I’ve used this most of November and it’s reminded me 1. How much I love it and 2. How well my brother actually knows me when it comes down to perfume! πŸ˜› He always buys me the best stuff. πŸ™‚

  • Simple Kind To Eyes Soothing Eye Balm.

This isn’t the BEST eye balm in the world, in the sense of it isn’t helping any ageing lines that I might be starting to get… However I was quite poorly for a couple of weeks in November with labyrinthitis. It honestly sucked. This eye balm really helped though when I felt tired and like shit. I do really love this eye balm, it’s not thick and heavy like most eye creams. It’s really light and leaves a lovely cooling feeling after.

  • Lush Prince Of Darkness Fresh Face Mask (review here).

I picked up this face mask from Lush at the start of November when I went into London. Aside from online the only place you can get this face mask in store is in the Oxford Street store in London. I had 5 empty black pots so I picked this up for free! It’s by far one of my favourite face masks and I use it once a week. It really does help my skin after I’ve had a bad breakout. It clears out my pores and scrubs my face to make it lovely and soft. I definitely recommend giving this a go if you’re combination skin like I am!

  • Vaseline Lip Therapy Aloe Vera.

This is my life saver and game changer! I’ve been on and off over the years about which lip balms have changed my life. Last year when my lips kept splitting in the corners this was something I ended up buying to try and help my lips. It helped so much! Since then I use this daily, whether I’m in or out of the house. It’s also great to use underneath lipstick to keep my lips lovely and soft. Out of all the flavours, scents etc out there the aloe vera one is by far my favourite. πŸ™‚

  • The Body Shop Banana Body Butter.

Since I started using The Body Shop banana range, it’s certainly made me realise how much I love The Body Shop for their products. They’re just great and at an affordable price too! I LOVED the banana range and I’m so gutted it’s now gone. It wasn’t around long enough for my liking. BUT I love using the body butter on my hands to keep them lovely and soft. I know this is really odd, but their hand cream doesn’t do anything for me. Only the hemp one works. I do love this though as it smells delicious and really does moisturise my hands when they need some major TLC!

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – The Office (US) and Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.

I couldn’t just name one TV show this month. I loved both of these equally! Thanks to Dane’s brother and his girlfriend we discovered that The Office (US) is fucking hilarious! I’d watched the UK version of it growing up and rather liked it, in a weird way. There are some really funny and iconic moments in the show, but my favourite part is how frustrating Jim and Pam are! In the sense you want them to hurry up and get together. πŸ˜› Jim is by far my favourite character and the way John Krasinski plays him, he does such an amazing job at making the character so natural, normal and relateable.

The second show I’ve been loving is an anime that Dane has been watching for a while now, but every time he’s asked me to watch it, I was either too busy with my blog, playing games or I just couldn’t be arsed to watch it. Finally I gave in and began to watch it towards the end of November. Oh man it’s such a good anime and I’m glad I decided to watch it sooner rather than later! It’s about a guy who sees a girl dressed up a bunny girl in the library and he’s the only one who can see her! Then it goes on from there. It’s definitely worth a watch as it’s pretty unique. It’s on Funimation and Crunchyroll and is only subbed.

Favourite Film – Bohemian Rhapsody.

Oh man I honestly LOVED this film so much! I actually saw it at the end of October but it was pointless mentioning it last month. Alongside Deadpool 2, this was definitely one of my favourite films this year. It was amazing, beyond amazing! I grew up listening to Queen with my mom in the car whenever we were out and about so I do have a love for the band. When the trailer for this first came out I KNEW I needed to go and see it, Dane wanted to see it too. However as the release date loomed Dane changed his mind, “I don’t think I’ll enjoy it as much as I thought I would.” I was desperate to see it and as I didn’t think I’d be able to go with anyone else, I booked it regardless for us both. We left the cinema with Dane loving the film more than I did! I cried throughout the film and I just felt for Freddie Mercury. It makes me wish he was still alive. If it’s still showing and you haven’t seen this film yet, please do.

Favourite Book – Giant Spider & Me.

I discovered this book whilst I was visited my friend Sophi in London. I was after a new manga to read online as I’d read all my books I’d taken with me for entertainment on the way there. I can’t remember how I discovered this manga to be honest with you, I just know I found it on a UK anime and manga blog. It sounded weird but different, so I gave it a go and whilst I didn’t fall in love with it, it’s something I found myself reading each morning I woke up, as well as partly the way home from London. I occasionally read it before I head into work if I get there early. It’s based in a post apocalyptic world where this girl lives on her own and whilst out she finds the giant spider, who ends up becoming her pet/friend and lives with her. From there she starts to meet more people who have to come to accept the giant spider etc. It’s a very sweet manga and one I recommend people to read, especially if you hate spiders. This isn’t a normal spider and I don’t mean in just the size of it. πŸ˜›

Favourite Music – Foo Fighters – Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.

This is by far my favourite Foo Fighters album. As odd as it sounds it’s been there for me through so much over the years. When I’ve been happy, sad, angry and depressed. Lately I’ve listened to it loads as it’s such a great diving album to listen to. I love listening to it before I go to work as well as before I head to my pole and hoop classes with my bestie Jacqui. I’ve popped the whole album above so you can give it a listen for yourselves if you haven’t already. Some of my favourite tracks from it are “The Pretender”, “Let It Die”, “Long Road To Ruin”, “Come Alive”, “Stranger Things Have Happened”, “Summers End”, “Statues” and “Home”. So most of the album really. πŸ˜‰

Pokemon Lets Go GIF

Favourite Game – Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Pokemon Let’s Go: Eevee.

Oh man November was just full of games and being poor. πŸ˜› Spyro and Pokemon are both massive games from my childhood and both make me feel really nostalgic. Within the space of a few days both Spryo Reignited and Pokemon Let’s Go came out! I’m still working my way through both games. πŸ˜› First of all I want to say how much I was pissed off about Spyro. Not in the sense of the game but how bloody pisstakey it was for me to get it! So I pre ordered it back in August ready for the original release date of September. The game was pushed back to November so I had to wait another couple of months. Fine. BUT when I didn’t even get it the day it came out due to “courier issues” I was pissed. So I complained to Amazon and they ended up refunding me for the game and allowing me to keep it. It arrived the next day. So I’m pretty chuffed by that result. πŸ˜›

ANYWAY on about the game! I LOVE Spyro Reignited so much and they did such a good job on it! I played some of the first Spyro game but fast got bored after I finished the first world and levels. I felt like it lacked what the second and third games brought to the table. So I ended up moving onto the second game, which I’ve nearly completed! They’ve got some of the old voice actors back to reprise their previous roles, as well as some new ones. I love that Cassandra Morris (voice of Morgana in Persona 5, as well as many other things!) does some voice work in the game. I haven’t played the third game yet, but I know I’ll soon get to that this month!

With Pokemon Let’s Go I decided to opt for the Eevee option as it’s one of my favourite Pokemon. I loved Pikachu growing up, but the older I’ve got the more overrated Pikachu has become. Nintendo did such a good job with this game and aww man I couldn’t be happier with it! I think I’ve only had one issue with it so far and that’s that the 2 player option is shite. It’s not for adults really, it’s for children to play with their parents and introduce them to playing Pokemon. It’s a great idea to be honest and there’s nothing wrong with it per say. It’s just not any good for older gamers. Dane has also loved playing this and intends to take it with him whenever he has to work away from home! We’ll probably end up getting the Pikachu version sooner rather than later. πŸ˜› Dane even contemplated getting me a Switch so I could play at the same time as him. The catching system for the game is amazing and works really well! This being said I’ve only used the Poke Ball controller (which I bought with the game) which I find looks like it works better than the joy cons. They seem super faffy! Handheld mode is definitely the best way to play the game though. I plan to write a massive post about the game eventually (probably this month tbf…) so I don’t want to talk too much about it to be honest.

So those are my favourites from November, the month that went by in the blink of an eye and left me feeling poorly and poor! πŸ˜›

How was November for you guys? What were you loving throughout the month? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Again, I am going to try and do Blogmas this year, but don’t get too excited for it as to be honest I can’t see it happening. xD

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re kicking off December with Christmas music and films. πŸ˜›

November Wish List ’18

Why am I bothering to write a wish list so close to Christmas? Meh because I can, I guess! πŸ˜›

I apologise if this list is full of waffle, I really do but meh I’m kind of struggling to come up with things I want to get with Christmas being around the corner. It’s also crazy to think the next wish list I write will be for December, I mean where has the year gone?!

I’ll try my best however with my wish list, some items might be pre orders I’ve made, where others might just be items I’m going to have to lust after until after Christmas. I have to be careful not to buy anything that Dane may have already bought me… πŸ˜›

  • WoodWick Sea Salt Caramel Candle – (link)

I LOVE WoodWick candles and although I rather like Yankee Candles, WoodWick are definitely my favourite. I love that they crackle as they burn and they’re also made out of soy wax so they’re actually better for you, breathing in wise. I’ve owned quite a few mini jars of the seat salt caramel scent and it is by far one of my favourites. I’d love to own the massive jar, but like Yankee Candle’s these aren’t the cheapest. So worth the money though! This may end up on a Christmas list or I might even buy it myself in the New Year.

  • Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee! & Poke Ball Plus – (link)

Oh man I am SO EXCITED for this game to come out this month! I’ve had it on preorder since it was announced back in May and I cannot believe in less than 2 weeks it will be out! Out of the two I preordered I decided I wanted Eevee, as having a little Eevee around with me sounds so adorable! I also ordered the bundle with the Poke Ball Plus with it too! I gave this game a go with the Poke Ball Plus at EGX in September and it was so good and it just made me so glad that I ordered it with the game. I’m especially excited to play this game with Dane, as it’s two player.

  • Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream – (link)

I’ve been after a cuticle cream for the longest time and I’ve always heard nothing but good things about the Burt’s Bees one. I even tried it years ago when in store and it seemed like something good to pick up. I think I wanted it more for when I used to use gel nail polish all the time, which in turn I would like to get back into using again. This is something I’d love to pick up on a whim soon.

  • Persona 5 Morgana Sega Prize “Nesoberi” Lying Down Plush – (link)

This is something I actually have preordered from YY Kawaii and I honestly cannot wait to get it! I’ve been after a Morgana plush for the longest time, but the one I really want is either hard to find or costs a fucking bomb! This one is quite a nice size and will either sit on our bed or on my cuddle chair downstairs. Either way I am so excited to get this now. πŸ˜› I’ll definitely show it off on social media when I have him.

  • Himouto! Umaru-chan Vol. 3 – (link)

I LOVE this manga series and although this volume came out in October, I didn’t actually realise this until late in October so I made sure to order a copy ready for November time. I don’t plan to buy anymore manga after this as I’m unsure if Dane will buy me any for Christmas or my birthday. I do have some that I plan to add to my wish list in December mind, so keep eyes peeled for that next month if you’re interested.

  • Spyro Reignited Trilogy on PlayStation 4 – (link)

This is another game I’m really excited for this month! I was gutted back in September when it got pushed back but meh whatever, it’s going to be out in a couple of weeks now and it’s going to have been worth the wait for sure. I’m excited to play through all of the games and reminisce about all the hours, days and summer holidays spent playing these games. I plan to play the second Spyro game first as this was the first one I played back in the day.

  • Hell Bunny Full Moon Mini Dress – (link)

I’ve never owned a Hell Bunny dress myself, but I have always been intrigued by them. I saw a picture of this style floating around on Instagram and thought it looked really nice! I recently only managed to remember about it and ventured to the website to check it out. It’s not the cheapest dress in the world, not going to lie… But it’s definitely a dress I’m going to keep my eye on for the future as I would like to own something like this again, especially for both work and days off.

So those are what items I have on my wish list for this month! I know it’s nothing special and most of it I’ve got on preorder, but meh sadly a lot of stuff I don’t want to add to my list as I want those for next month.

Next month is December. That in itself is bloody scary!

What things do you guys have on your wish lists? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having an amazing weekend!

October Wish List ’18

As I said a few days ago, how on Earth is it October already?! This year has flown by in a busy haze and I just want time to stop for a little bit. I’m writing this post over the weekend and I honestly can’t believe it’s currently 7.30pm! Where is my precious weekend going?!

What better way than to spend my evening doing blog work and listening to Radio Bam. I don’t mean for that to sound as sarcastic as it probably does. I love writing on my blog, I find it quite relaxing and it takes my mind off of anything that’s on it.

I haven’t really thought much about what items I’ll be talking about on my wish list today, but I worry it won’t be much, or at least anything exciting! Fingers crossed eh?

Well Christmas is around the corner, so I’ll definitely be needing to save monies anyway. πŸ˜› I hope you enjoy this months wish list anyhoo!

  • Never Take It Off Can I Keep You? Necklace – (link)

I rather like NTIO and have done for years. I’ve even mentioned them on my blog before (which you can read here) and still wear the bracelet I picked up in March. I was having a nose at the Halloween collection and stumbled across this cute ghost necklace! I’d love to get it but the one thing that puts me off is it isn’t real silver, it’s plated. I sound so snobby, but I hate wearing plated jewellery, it turns your skin green! This is definitely something I’ll have to think about getting.

  • Insert Coin Clothing Persona 5 Shujin Academy Varsity Jacket – (link)

I have been pining over this jacket since it came out a couple of months back. I thought I’d mentioned it on my blog before, but alas I haven’t! The reason I haven’t bought it yet is due to the price. It isn’t the cheapest jacket in the world sadly at Β£65 and I’ve ummed and ahhed the decision on buying it due to that. As readers will know I went to EGX a couple of weekends back, (which was amazing by the way) which Insert Coin Clothing was also at. Sadly the size I wanted for this jacket was sold out so I couldn’t pick it up. The staff were so lovely and gave me some vouchers so I could pick up the jacket for a cheaper price, which is lovely! I can’t wait to get it for autumn and winter now.

  • Cath Kidston Otters A5 Softback Notepad – (link)

If there is a high street brand I have fallen in love with the past year it’s Cath Kidston. Their items are so adorable and vintage, you can’t go wrong at all. I especially love stuff that’s got cute animals on. I loved their fox collection so much when it was out! When I recently visited one of their stores I discovered they have quite a few cute animal collections out, including their Otters collection! This notebook is adorable and I’d love to have it as my journal for 2019! I have so many notebooks though, that I honestly don’t need anymore!

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 and 2.5 Remix – (link)

Years ago I picked up this game on the PS3 but considering I don’t use my PS3 as much as my PS4 anymore I’ve not really played it, sad times. The first thing me and my best friend Gabriella did at EGX was go and play Kingdom Hearts 3, which I loved SO DAMN MUCH! I really need to pick this game up soon so I can play it before the new one comes out. I forgot how much I actually enjoyed this series. I don’t know if I’ll buy this just yet as I have so many games coming out for the rest of the year. I might just ask for it for Christmas and play it with Dane. Who knows… We’ll see!

  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Life Vol. 3 – (link)

After this post I’ll get this preordered as I want this when it comes out. I love reading manga so much and one of my favourites to read is the Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid ones. They’re recently announced that they’ll be releasing a manga series about Elma, one of the dragons and equally one of my favourite dragons! I can’t wait to see what happens to Kanna next, she’s adorable.

  • Joules Lunch Box – (link)

This isn’t anything special and whilst I doubt I need a lunch box for work, I REALLY love the look of this! If anything it would probably encourage me to make sandwiches for work instead of buying them once a week. It’d also be great to take leftover dinner in. πŸ˜› It’s just adorable and it’s a decent price for Joules too, don’t you think?

So that’s my wish list for this month! What do you guys think to some of the items I’ve added to it? What items do you have on your wish lists this month?

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week so far.
