July Favourites ’20

I can’t believe it’s August already, can you? I for one am glad as July was so bloody stressful and it drove me mad due to that fact. I just couldn’t wait for it to end to be honest, it started to affect my mental health, which is never good so to have a new month will be good. Plus, September is my favourite month of the year and I want to make sure to have a relaxing month before that favourite comes up. I could write a post every year as to why I love September… Maybe I’ll do it again this year? Let me know if you’re interested.

July wasn’t just a month of being stressed out however, it was also a month of getting good things done, including our bathroom and my nails. We had some issues with our bathroom in May with water damage and decided instead of just getting the water damage repaired, we would look and see if we could justify getting the whole bathroom done. Alas we did justify it and a couple of months later the work was completed and we now have our gorgeous new bathroom! We’ve had the work completed for two weeks now and I have loved it so much. I was going to show off the completed bathroom on my blog, but I have since gone against that as I’d like to keep some privacy.

As well as my bathroom being done, nail technicians were able to open their salons again, so I went to get my first gel manicure done in almost 4 months, which I was very happy about. Yesterday I went and got them done again and I went for black and holographic silver, because why not. ๐Ÿ˜›

As always I like to share a positive photo here from The Latest Kate as I find her images are really sweet and the message behind them meaningful.

Here’s to August being a relaxing month, before my favourite comes. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Bath Bake Love Cherry Lime Sugar Whip.

I have know about Bath Bake Love for quite a long time now through Instagram, but I’ve never bought from them until now. I feel like I’ve been missing out for a long time as I honestly love their products. So far I’ve bought quite a few of the sugar whips (including Frosting Fairy, Billionaires Shortbread) and some other items they create and sell. The one sugar whip I have fallen in love with is Cherry Lime, it smells just like it and it makes me so happy. I haven’t used it as much as Frosting Fairy, but that’s because I’m savouring it a little. The sugar whips are really creamy in texture and like a mousse, which make it really easy to lather them up and wash with. They make you smell really good and feel soft! The Cherry Lime scent is very zesty and summery, hence why I’ve loved it so much this past month. I can’t wait to use it more and I’ll definitely buy it when it’s restocked next. PLUS look how pretty the product is with the bright pink and green foil inside! It’s actually inspired me to potentially get my nails painted in these shades towards the end of the month.

  • Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette.

I decided to use some of my “older” perfumes up that I’ve had for quite some time. Years ago my mom bought me a set of mini Marc Jacobs perfumes and I’ve never used them… Until now! These bottles are TEENY and they aren’t the easiest of bottles to work with, but I just dab some of the scent on my neck, wrists and inside my elbows. For an EDT this scent lasts ages! It’s really light and I rather like it, although I doubt I would buy the full sized bottle. I’m not a massive fan of the Marc Jacobs scents, although I really do love Decadence.

  • Revolution Skincare Blemish and Pore Refining Serum – 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc 30ml.

My good friend Claire recommend this serum to me a while ago, so I decided to buy myself a bottle of it back in June and since then I have on and off used it. I do really love it and I ended up buying some more niacinamide items from Revolution Skincare too, which I’ve been using alongside the serum. Niacinamide is good for oily skin types as it balances oil production and improves texture by making pores look smaller. Considering how warm it’s been towards the end of this week, after using this on my skin in the morning with my moisturiser, my skin hasn’t been as oily on my nose as it usually is! I’m going to keep trying this though, as I do feel like it’s starting to do something for my skin.

  • romand – Juicy Lasting Tint Autumn Fruit Series Shade Cherry Bomb.

In June I ordered some goodies from Yes Style and it was a mixture of regret and happiness. I was happy to finally own some more Korean lip tints but regretted it due to the fact it took a whole month to arrive and I was paranoid about customs charges. However, looking back I don’t really regret it and I think I was just on edge and anxious. I’ll happily order with Yes Style again, especially as I’ve seen some stuff I would love for the future. That aside, I ordered two lip tints by romand and out of the two, Cherry Bomb has been my favourite. It’s a gorgeous cherry red lip tint that really does last ages on the lips. I’ve found myself wearing it on the rare occasions I’ve left the house, but I’ve mostly worn it whilst working from home. I recommend these lip tints to everyone and I already know I’ll be buying more romand products in the future.

  • The Body Scrub Peppermint Candy Cane Body Scrub.

This is one that I received a couple of Christmases ago and have FINALLY gotten around to using! It’s one of The Body Shop scrubs and I honestly wish I had used it sooner as it’s amazing. It’s a very thick sugar scrub which really does scrub away! I’ve been using it on the tops of my arms, bum, thighs and even my feet. It’s worked amazingly on the latter but has left me feeling a little smoother than usual everywhere else. This was only a small pot as it was part of a set, but if I ever see this pop up in sales on the website in future, I may have to buy a bigger pot. It also smells AMAZING by the way!

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – I May Destroy You.

First of all, this TV show is amazing and I cannot recommend it enough to you right now. In all fairness this does have some warnings due to scenes of sexual abuse/rape. The show is written and stars Michaela Coel (who also wroteย Chewing Gum) and is about a writer who goes for a night out to take a break from her work. The next day she can’t seem to remember what happened during the night out, or how she even got home. Everything begins to unravel and she soon grows to realise she’s been raped during her night out. With the help of her friends she gains support, as well as tries to get justice for what happened to her and more. I definitely recommend watching it, it’s an amazing show.

Favourite Movie – A Whisker Away.

This film was an absolute delight to watch and after a takeaway me and Dane snuggled together and watched it on the sofa. It’s about a girl who is in love with a boy and the only way she can get close to him is by turning into a cat. We watched it dubbed, but it is subbed on Netflix as well. The story itself is adorable and we have all been there at some point in our youth with lusting over someone but not being able to get them to like you the same way! My only gripe with this film is that both me and Dane felt like it went on for a little bit too long… Which started to ruin the film for us. This being said, I would happily watch this film again as it did make me smile and the kitten that the girl turns into is adorable!

Favourite Book โ€“ Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid manga.

FINALLY I HAVE READ SOMETHING! Can you believe it?! I had a quiet weekend in July and decided to start making my way through some of the volumes I haven’t read yet in my manga collection. Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid was a priority to me as it’s one of my favourites and I know quite a few volumes have come out for this and the spin off volumes (Kanna’s Daily Lifeย andย Elma’s Office Lady Diary) too. I feel so much better for catching up on my manga series but I do need to read more! I feel like I need to just assign myself two evenings a week to just read, as I’m terrible these days for reading and I don’t know why? I’m going to blame gaming as I feel since I bought my Switch Lite I’ve neglected reading, which is a shame. Not only do I have manga to read, but comics and even “normal” books to read too!

Favourite Music โ€“ Dai Numo – SUITED.

Years ago on Soundcloud I discovered Dai Numo and I have never regretted that day. I LOVE his music and keep wanting him to release more. I listened to his album on and off to and from Japan, whenever I visit Fuerteventura and when I really need to knuckle down with work of any type (work or personal). I thought I’d share a couple of songs above, but I’d highly recommend you go and check out his Soundcloud AND Bandcamp where you can download the album. I can’t describe what kind of music this is… It’s like chillout hip hop? I love it either way and I definitely recommend it for everyone to check out.

Favourite Game โ€“ Aggretsuko: The Short Timer Strikes Back.

First of all guys I just want to say, I am still playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, however I am not on it ALL the time. It has began to “bore” me a little, but lately I decided to sort out my island and redo parts of it, so every other day I’ve clocked onto Animal Crossing a couple of hours. However, recently an Aggretsuko game came out, ready for when the third season hits Netflix at the end of the month. This isn’t an in depth game in anyway shape or form, but towards the end of July I got addicted to it! It’s a free game and I can’t recommend it more if you want a puzzle game to play.

So those are my favourites from July! Again, I can’t believe it’s August already, the eighth month of the year! Next month will be my favourite month of the year and then before we know it we’ll be in autumn, Halloween, Bonfire Night, winter and then Christmas before we get a new year!

2020 hasn’t been amazing due to COVID, but we’re over halfway through this year now.

How has July been for you? What were your favourites? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, stay safe and take care all!

October Favourites ’19

We literally have 2 more months until 2020… This is scary. I can’t keep saying each month, “WOW THIS YEAR IS FLYING BY!” because it’s so repetitive… It is scary though, isn’t it?

October was a pretty busy month for me! As I write this blog post I’m currently on my last day off from work after an amazing week off. We didn’t do much in all honestly, it was more of a mixture between doing things fun together and relaxing separately and doing our own thing. We also went to the Pokemon Center in London on Monday, as most of you seem to have already read and enjoyed! It was a crazy day and I will link the blog post here so you can go and read it for yourself.

October really did fly by and I’m so not ready for November already! It’s going to be such a great and yet busy month, but I’ll talk more about that on my monthly newsletter, which will be live later today. SO make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already so you can see what I’ll be up to this month. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyhoo, I’m going to plod on with the favourites of the month!

  • Nivea Indulgent Moisture Coconut Shower Cream Gel.

I picked up this shower cream gel from Poundland (obviously for a ยฃ1) on the whim that I needed some more shower gel and this stuff sounded good. For a ยฃ1, this is such a great shower gel as it really does leave my skin feeling baby soft after getting out of the shower. It has a gorgeous soft coconut scent to it too, which is always lovely! Coconut scents really do remind me of Fuerteventura so I always love to use coconut scented stuff in the shower/bath. This is such a good find for the price and I’m definitely going to pick it up again in the future.

  • Baylis & Harding Oatmeal, Milk and Honey Cream Hand Wash.

I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this hand wash on my blog before and it’s really one I love! It’s not the best in the world for my eczema prone skin, but it’s better than most, that’s for sure! I recently had a phase of using Method’s foaming hand wash and I tell you what, it ruined my bloody skin! It made my hands so sore and they would split if I didn’t put much hand cream on them. Once those hand washes were used up, I decided to go back to my Baylis & Harding one, which smells gorgeous and keeps my hands feeling clean and somewhat soft. I really need to find a good hand wash for my hands. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  • Bath & Body Works Black Cherry Melot Hand Sanitizer.

I recently had a clear out of some of my old beauty related matter and I stumbled across a little metal tin FULL of Bath & Body Works hand sanitisers! At least 10 in there that are either brand new, or been used a few times. I was in need of some more sanitiser to keep in my bag so I decided to throw the Black Cherry Melot one in. This smells gorgeous and reminds me of autumn due to the warming scent of black cherries. Whilst me and Dane were at the Pokemon Center in London we used this hand sanitiser before we had something to eat and the scent lasted ages! It’s gorgeous! I’m planning to use up all of the bottles I have and then somehow buy some fresh new smells in 2020. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Lush Candy Cane Reuseable Bubble Bar.

This doesn’t look like the traditional/usual Candy Cane from Lush and this is because I’ve broken it up so it’s a little easier to use in my bath sieve. I’ve used a couple of chunks of these this month in the bath and even used one in a bath I ran for Dane. This isn’t something I’ve picked up recently and was actually a part of a Secret Santa gift from my previous job last Christmas. The person who bought me my Secret Santa gifts did good and I loved everything she bought me! ๐Ÿ™‚ This bubble bar doesn’t smell anything like peppermint, as you would expect it to and it doesn’t even smell of candy, as the name could suggest. It smells of bloody lemon… Lush’s favourite scent (insert face palm here)… This being said it leaves a lovely light red colour in the water and leaves me feeling soft. This has lasted ages and as you can see from the photos, I still have a fair few chunks left. I actually plan to use this in the bath tonight! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Taya Copaiba Amazon White Clay Advanced Blend Thickening Shampoo.

Finally we have a new shampoo! I was in need of something new as my previous one was really close to running out. I decided to go with Taya Copaiba again as I loved the shampoo I had previously from the brand. This one is a thickening shampoo and it really does thicken! I’ve used it a fair few times now and do feel like my hair looks and feels thicker after drying and especially when I plait my hair ready for the day! The only issue I’ve had so far is that this seems to take a lot to foam up and go through the hair without using too much product. I’m sure this is something I will get used to soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – The Dog House.

This is a TV show over on Channel 4 that me and Dane binge watched recently in a couple of days. We love dogs, so when we saw there was a TV show to show people rehoming dogs, we knew we had to watch. There are so many lovely dogs on the show and it makes us happy to know they were all adopted by loving families. We wish we could get a dog, so the fact we can’t, it’s nice to get some joy from TV shows like this. ๐Ÿ™‚ Plus all the cute dogs and puppies on there made us happy! It’s an 8 episode series and sadly we have now finished it. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I hope we get a second series of this show already.

Favourite Movie – Joker.

We haven’t been to the cinema since July, so I decided to book for us to go and watch Joker a couple of days after it came out. It was worth going to and both me and Dane loved it! The film is a mixture of drama and thriller and really does work well. I love seeing how Arthur declines throughout the film and how well this is done by Joaquin Phoenix. The best thing about watching this in the cinema was the sound, which was amazing! Honestly loved this film and I’ll definitely look at picking it up on DVD or Blu-Ray when it comes out.

Favourite Book – Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe (link)

I haven’t been reading my manga/comic books again… I honestly just don’t feel like I have time to sit and read right now and I know this sounds like an excuse but I honestly do feel that way. I would take books with me to work to read, but I like to do my blog work on my breaks at work and soon enough I’ll be taking a Switch to work to play… Probably… Either way, you get the gist! This being said, I have on and off been reading a cartoon over on Webtoons right now called Lore Olympus, which is about Hades and Persephone. I’m really enjoying it and I really need to keep on reading it.

Favourite Album – Calvin Harris – Ready for the Weekend.

I go through phases of listening to certain albums that I haven’t listened to for ages. The album I am talking about this month is one of them. I LOVED Calvin Harris back in the day, but after theย Motion album, I kind of fell out of love. He’s just changed a lot from back in the day and whilst he’s improved dramatically, I just have too many memories of his first two albums and how much I loved them when I was younger. They were all the songs I’ve heard when on nights out with friends and I especially lovedย Ready for the Weekendย because of this. I remember when “Flashback” came out and I was at my “going out” prime. I was out most evenings partying with friends and would always request this song to play. I still love it to bits and whenever I’ve been driving home from work I’ve played it. Honestly, just love it! ๐Ÿ˜€

Video Game Win GIF by Borderlands

Favourite Game – Borderlands 3.

I could have mentioned this game on last months favourites to be honest, but it came out at the end of September, so I didn’t play it much throughout September. This game was constantly played by both myself and Dane and I’ve honestly enjoyed it so much and still am. I’m not a massive fan of first person shooters as I’m just rubbish at them, but the more I playedย Borderlands 3 the better I got and the more I enjoyed playing! I decided to go for a siren and have really enjoyed stomping on my enemies and sending them flying. ๐Ÿ˜› We’ve also played this online with friends, which has also been loads of fun! ๐Ÿ˜€ November is going to be such a busy gaming month what with Luigi’s Mansion 3 being out now, as well as Pokemon Sword and Shield.ย So, make sure you’re prepared for lots of game talk in November’s favourites post. ๐Ÿ˜›

So, that is all of my favourites from October! I honestly can’t believe how quick this month has flown by! It’s been a really busy one, but one I have loved too. I was so excited for certain things such as the Pokemon Center London, getting my nails done at a salon and especially my week off with Dane. It’s been good but I don’t know if I’m prepared for Christmas yet… ๐Ÿ˜›

How was everyone’s October? What were your favourite things and what did you get up to? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below. ๐Ÿ™‚

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’re ready for the weekend! I know I am. ๐Ÿ˜›

August Wish List ’19

I really need to save. It’s so hard at the moment considering I’ve just had to fork out ยฃ250 for a part of my car to be replaced and erm… I kinda bought myself a new camera ready for Japan. Honestly I’m going to save up for Japan. I am. I NEED to otherwise I’ll be going to Japan with no sodding money to spend, or eat with. I have 5 months to go until we leave for the holiday and saving needs to happen NOW.

In all honesty though? I already really want at least 2 items on this wish list for work, as well as in general.

I will resist the urge and be good… I need to. ๐Ÿ˜›

Enough of me wallowing in poor pity, on with the wish list for August.

  • Aggretsuko Day/Night Pyjamas (link)

If there is one thing I love buying (and it’s definitely a weakness of mine!) it’s pyjamas and it’s purely because I live in them mostly when I’m at home. Providing I don’t have plans, as soon as I get home from work I’ll get my pyjamas on and get comfortable. These will be perfect for during the summer months, as at the moment I am just purely living in baggy t-shirts and night shirts. EMP has a pretty awesome Aggretsuko line up at the moment, including a couple of hoodies, pyjama bottoms and even some fake Converse.

  • Animal Crossing K.K. Slider Sticker by ncdoggGraphics (link)

I LOVE Animal Crossing and I am still stoked about the new one coming out on the Switch in March 2020. I love playing Pocket Camp daily and would love to grab some sort of Animal Crossing merch for when I’m in Japan. I love the “Yo” design of K.K. Slider and although I’ve added it onto this post as a sticker, I would rather love the hoodie or sweater design as I can only imagine it would so comfortable to wear around the house, as well as out and about when running errands.

  • Pokemon Holiday Night Kuji Travelling Pouch with Bottles (link)

This is something I’ve had my eye on getting (and in one case winning) since I saw it was announced a couple of months back. I took part in this kuji through YY Kawaii (yykawaiimerch over on Instagram). I’ll be talking about the prizes I won soon, as well as this travelling pouch, which arrived yesterday. Yes, I bought it because I want it for my holiday to Japan, as well as travelling in general. This is a good sized pouch and comes with three generous sized bottles that you can fill with your beauty essentials. I’m already planning what product I’m going to pop in there for travelling with. As I said, I’ll be writing a post all about these goods soon, as well as a little bit of information about kujis, how they work and which amazing ones YY Kawaii has coming up soon!

  • Aggretsuko Pencils (link)

I have discovered with my job that I love jotting down notes using pencil… I don’t know why, but I just have! I love Aggretsuko and since season 2 has come onto Netflix (also, they just announced season 3. Who else is excited?!) so I feel merchandise for this is becoming more and more likely everywhere. I don’t need any stationary anytime soon though to be honest. These would just be cool to have whenever I go into meetings and to perk my desk up a little. At the moment I’m using Pusheen pencils… I can’t complain. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Cath Kidston Stanley Lamp (link)

This isn’t going to be something I buy anytime soon due to the price, but it’s a lamp I will be keeping a close eye on, as I would love it to be a part of my home. I don’t quite know where it would go… Potentially by the sofa in our living room… It’s so damn cute and I love it! I can only assume Stanley is the dog but it’s so gorgeous and you can see a lot of precision went into the design, as it’s just perfect. This is something I’ll keep my eye on during the sales.

  • Killstar Amaya Skater Dress (link)

I love a good skater dress, especially one from Killstar. This is from one of their new collections, which represents Japanese school style fashions and manga/anime designs too. This is something I’d love to be able to wear for work but due to the style of the dress (mostly the back with the hanging part) I doubt that would be doable… At least not during the warmer months when I don’t need to wear a cardigan, jumper or my work fleece. I’ll be keeping my eyes on it though, this is something I’ll definitely be picking up in the future.

  • Boohoo Cable Boyfriend Button Up Cardigan (link)

I know it’s summer and we in the UK are currently rocking the warm and muggy weather but I am already thinking ahead to the months when the colder weather will be back and I’ll be wanting to snuggle up into something during my shifts at work. My friend Amy (Writing into the Ether) rocks a gorgeous mustard cardigan and she’s inspired me get myself a mustard cardigan, after years of never bothering. I love my burgundy and mustard colours for autumn and winter, and whilst I own loads of mustard jumpers, I haven’t yet picked up a mustard cardigan. I’ve found this one from Boohoo, which I’m going to keep my eye on. I need to venture around more places first, including charity shops. I know what I’m looking for, super soft and baggy so I can be snuggled and cosy!

So those are the items on my wish list for August! I always worry my wish lists are boring, but you guys never seem to say anything other than the complete opposite!

What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know! Hey, let me know which items you’ve picked up this month too!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a good week so far.

The Pokemon Tag

As regular readers will know, I LOVE Pokemon! I have done since I discovered the show aged 6 and then the game aged 9. I’ve just been hooked since then and really do love playing both the games still to this day, as well as collecting Pokemon items from the Pokemon Centre in Japan.

I wasn’t at all surprised when I read that Sarah over at Raiin Monkey had taken part in this tag, as I know she loves Pokemon just as much as I do! ๐Ÿ˜€ She mentioned at the end of the post how she’s happy for anyone to take part in this tag, so whilst I’m poorly in bed I’m giving it a go myself! ๐Ÿ˜€

I really hope you enjoy my answers to this tag post, I know I’m excited to give it a go.

1. Favourite Pokemon?ย Definitely Mew, Dragonite and all the Eeveelutions! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love Cubone and Ampharos too.

2. Least favourite Pokemon?ย I can’t say as I have a least favourite Pokemon in all fairness… If anything maybe some of the latest generation Pokemon as they’re just lame and weird made up stuff to get the numbers up.

3. Favourite starter Pokemon?ย Cyndaquil! I love that Pokemon so much.

4. Favourite Eeveelution?ย Ooo this is a tough one to be honest you!

5. Favourite legendary Pokemon?ย Definitely Mew as well as all the dog legendary Pokemon from the second generation, Raikou, Entei and Suicune.

6. Most terrifying Pokemon?ย Mmm this is a tough one as I don’t find any really terrify me as such… If anything MissingNo used to creep me out growing up! I remember catching one in Pokemon Red and it glitched my game, nearly to the point of me losing everything! That’s the most terrified a Pokemon has ever gotten me. ๐Ÿ˜›

7. Most adorable Pokemon?ย Aww this is a tough one as there’s so many! ๐Ÿ˜› The baby Pokemon evolutions are definitely adorable and I loved them all in generation 2! Of course Mew and the Eeveelutions are up there with the cute Pokemon. One of my favourites has to be Cubone though. ๐Ÿ™‚

8. Most amusing Pokemon?ย Misty’s Psyduck. ๐Ÿ˜›

9. Favourite Pokemon type?ย Dragon and fairy.

10. Least favourite Pokemon type?ย I’d definitely say bug. It’s so shite it’s a joke. ๐Ÿ˜›

11. Favourite new Pokemon from X and Y?ย Fennekin and Sylveon! ๐Ÿ˜€

12. Favourite Pokemon attack or move?ย Dragon rage is a pretty good one, alongside some of the moves Eevee can learn from it’s Eeveelutions in the new Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee.

13. Favourite trainer type?ย Trainer type?! Erm… I don’t know really… I guess the ones that carry cute Pokemon is always good and of course the easy trainers. ๐Ÿ˜›

14. Your gym leader speciality?ย I don’t fully get this question… If you mean if I was a gym leader I think my speciality would be fire Pokemon as I seem to sway towards them quite a lot. ๐Ÿ˜› In my team I’d have Fennekin, Cyndaquil, Vulpix, Flareon, Arcanine and Rapidash.

15. Favourite region?ย Kanto and Johto. I love them both too much to pick just the one.

16. Favourite location?ย Definitely a toss up between Lavender Town from Kanto and Mt Moon from Johto when you get to watch Clefairy and Clefable dance on a Monday.

17. Most relatable Pokemon?ย I legit went to Buzzfeed and did a quiz because I honestly couldn’t come up with an answer for this! I got Mewtwo and it said, “You’re a rare one, that’s for sure. At times you may let your anger get the best of you, but we all know that you’re a sensitive and thoughtful spirit at heart. This world needs you, but just doesn’t know it yet.” Good enough. ๐Ÿ˜›

18. Favourite gym leader?ย Definitely Blue Oak/Gary Oak. I can’t really pick a favourite gym leader as I can’t say that I have one, but I love Gary’s character. He definitely needed to become a gym leader in the future.

19. Favourite elite 4 member/champion?ย I rather like Lance from gen 1 as he comes back for Silver and Gold to help you out for a “mission”.

20. Favourite Professor?ย Professor Oak for sure, the original professor! ๐Ÿ˜€

21. Favourite Pokemon bad guy?ย Team Rocket is always a good choice, but I really liked N too from the Black and White games.

22. Favourite rival?ย I’d say Gary Oak but I actually rather liked the rival from Silver, Gold and Crystal. He’s called Silver and from memory he’s actually Giovanni’s son!

23. A friend-relatable Pokemon?ย Oh God knows! Erm… Probably Snorlax. I love sleeping and if someone wakes me I get very angry. ๐Ÿ˜›

24. Most useful Pokemon?ย Every single Eeveelution to be honest with you. ๐Ÿ˜› If you needed heat – Flareon. If you needed water – Vaporeon. If you needed electricity – Jolteon. You get the point. ๐Ÿ˜›

25. Favourite animal Pokemon?ย Definitely fox/dog.

26. Favourite coloured Pokemon?ย Purple and white and pink.

27. Favourite game?ย I’d have to say Pokemon Silver. As much as I loved the original three, Silver has a soft spot in my heart. It’s the Pokemon game I’ve played the most and almost came close to finishing. The reason I didn’t was due to my game becoming corrupted. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I cried for days after it happened.

28. What did you nickname your rival?ย It was usually my cousin as we used to compete against one another when we played Pokemon. She always did better than I did though. ๐Ÿ˜›

29. Favourite Pokemon tune or song?ย There’s loads from Pokemon Silver, Gold and Crystal that I love such as “Violet City” and “Azalea Town”.

30. Most nostalgic element?ย I think when the Gold and Silver remakes came out and it meant I could replay the games again and gain myself some memories back to when I was a teenager. I spent hours on end, to all hours playing the original Silver game. I think I need to now go away and play Pokemon Silver as I’m just getting too many memories. ๐Ÿ˜›

Aww I really loved taking part in this Pokemon tag and if it wasn’t for Sarah giving it a go, I don’t know how long it would have taken me to find out about it! Make sure to go and read Sarah’s post to see what her answers were.

I tag everyone who reads this post and loves Pokemon to give the tag a go yourself! ๐Ÿ˜€

Do you love Pokemon just as much as I do? Let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re ready for the weekend, I know I am! ๐Ÿ˜›

5 Games That Are Great for Anxiety

How are we less than 2 weeks away from February?! 2019 is already flying by and I don’t like it. ๐Ÿ˜›

It’s Sunday evening and I’m not going to lie, I have serious writers block. I haven’t had this for years now so I’m a bit miffed. I know you shouldn’t write when you can’t think of anything, but at the same time I want to get something in my blog. I’ve had a week of overtime, exercising in various different ways and spending the last half an hour of my night before I sleep playing games on my phone or watching a YouTube video.

This inspired me to write today’s blog post. I know a lot of people suffer from anxiety and in fact 1 in 4 people are diagnosed with anxiety, including myself. My anxiety has gotten better to be fair, but it still lingers and at the worst times is still a pain in the arse.

So I decided to combine one of loves with one of my hates. I love gaming and I hate my anxiety, of course. ๐Ÿ˜›

There are various games I like to play when I’ve had a rough day and I thought these may help you guys when you just need to chill out in your favourite space and try to forget stuff for a while as you relax.

I really hope this post can help some of you the way these games have helped me in the past. ๐Ÿ™‚

1. Animal Crossing: Pocket Came – Free on App Store and Google Play.

The first game I want to talk about is the one I’m really loving the most recently. Since I got my iPhone XR (which you can read about here) I’ve re downloaded and rediscovered this amazing free game! Not only is it free but it’s Animal Crossing, what’s not to love?! I did play this when it first came out and I loved it so much, but I was in my old job and too miserable to play it. I’d just binge watch YouTube and scroll through Instagram instead. Then I didn’t have room on my phone anymore to continue to keep it, so it was deleted. Now I have loads of room, it’s back on my phone and played daily now! It’s staying this time around. ๐Ÿ˜› This is a bit more straight forward to play than the Animal Crossing we all know and love from various Nintendo consoles and handheld consoles. As the name suggests you have your own camp that you need to look after and make sure your animals are happy! There are always new things happening in the game due to constant updates to coincide with special events that are happening in the world. You do need a WiFi connection to play this game, but that’s fairly easy to get nowhere days. I just find this game really handy to play if I need to relax, especially before bed.

2. House Flipper – ยฃ15.49 on Steam.

This is a game I really love and actually haven’t played for some time. It’s beyond relaxing and one of those games where you won’t realise where the time has gone until it’s pitch black outside and you can’t stand yawning anymore. As the title of the game suggests you’re a house flipper, and need to brings homes back to a good place! I love when you have a grotty house that needs some TLC. It is a very lengthy game and some homes can take agggges to put back right, but that being said it’s still so relaxing to play. You could put some of your own music on, a TV show or even the radio and you’d be super relaxed! I really want to play it now to be honest with you. ๐Ÿ˜›

3. Sushi Cat – 99p on App Store and free to play online.

This is a game I’ve played on and off over the years. Not only is it cute, but it’s actually addictive to sit and play! It’s free online for all the games that have been made to date, but you can also download it for a small fee on the App Store. You play as Sushi Cat who has fallen in love with a female cat plushie. He needs to gain weight however to get into the store to get to her, so what does a sushi loving cat do? Eat all the sushi he can get! That’s the aim of the game, get him to eat all the sushi! I love it so damn much and it really does cheer me up to play with the cut scenes, as well as the game play. Just Google search and you’ll soon find this game and the others in this series.

4. Viscera Cleanup Detail – ยฃ9.99 on Steam.

This is a game I love so damn much! I really enjoy playing it with Dane as it’s hilarious to play together, but I think playing this game solo is so much better and definitely more relaxing. You’re in charge of cleaning up a grim bloody scene, surrounded by bits of bodies and lots of blood and gore. It’s not graphic, just in case you’re wondering! ๐Ÿ˜› You just have to clean up the area as much as possible, mopping up blood, burning bits of bodies, etc. It’s hilarious to play and would definitely take your mind off of stuff!

5. Pokemon Go – Free on App Store and Google Play.

The last game I’m going to talk about on this post is definitely my favourite out of the bunch! I love playing Pokemon GO! Not only does it get me out of the house to walk around and play games as and when I fancy it, but if I’ve had a hard day and need to get away from everyone for a while, you can have a walk and play this at the same time. I remember years ago as a teenager and in my early 20’s when I had stuff on my mind I’d go for a walk with my music to think things through, but I was always just endlessly walking and thinking. Now with games like Pokemon Go and the Jurassic Park one you can play games whilst you’re out walking, running, etc! I love how we have stuff like this now, it’s amazing. I find this can motivate people who are feeling anxious as well to get out of the house to try and not let any thoughts take over them too much, if that makes sense? ๐Ÿ™‚

Which of the games do you think will work best for when you’re feeling anxious or just want something to relax you? Are there any games suggestions you have that I didn’t name on this list? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

The Christmas Tag 2018

Excited The Office GIF

Image taken from GIPHY

Christmas is just 16 days away now and I’m pretty much ready for the day now. All I need to buy is FOOD and I honestly cannot wait for Christmas food. ๐Ÿ˜›

I was recently tagged by Jess over at Little Pink Duckย to take part in this tag, which I was really happy about! I love doing a tag every season and every awesome holiday that comes our way, especially Christmas! I don’t know if I’ve done this one, I actually don’t think I have which is amazing. If you want to check out Jess’ post and her answers, I’ll pop the link here for you. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you enjoy the tag anyhoo, especially my answers. It’s Saturday evening and I’m watching Peep Show’s Christmas special.

What is your favourite Christmas film?

It has to be the Home Alone films! The first Christmas film I stuck on this year was Home Alone 2. They definitely remind me of when I was little at Christmas. There’s other films I love too, but this is always the first film that pops into my head whenever I think about Christmas films. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have you ever had a White Christmas?

I feel like I have a few times to be fair. I remember it snowing when I was about 6 but it may have snowed before or after Christmas. The one year before I met Dane (probably 6-7 years ago!) I remember it snowed a little on Christmas Day, which was really nice to watch in the dining room whilst eating dinner and opening gifts.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

I usually go to mine or Dane’s parents, but this year we’re actually going to be at home, which will be really nice. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m rather excited to be honest with you as I love cooking, so the thought of me and Dane getting up in the morning to get Christmas lunch/dinner started together, whilst we watch a Christmas movie or listen to Christmas songs. I am really looking forward to it.

What is your favourite Christmas song?

I would usually say Wham – Last Christmas but I’ve heard it so fucking much this year that it’s definitely not anymore. I completely forgot that Queen has a Christmas song, so when Dane showed me this recently I fell in love. It hasn’t come on the radio much at work but when it has, it’s really put me in the Christmas mood.

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Never! I remember I did for a time growing up, I’d always open a certain gift from a certain relative but as I got older I never received that gift anymore, so I stopped doing it. I mean, what’s the point in opening something early?! ๐Ÿ˜›

Can you name all of Santaโ€™s reindeer?

Comic, Blitzen, Dasher, Pranser, erm… Does Rudolf technically count?

*Google searches*

Dasher, Dancer,ย Prancer,ย Vixen,ย Comet,ย Cupid, Donner,ย Blitzen and Rudolf.

I didn’t do too badly, did I? ๐Ÿ˜›

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?

I’m looking forward to creating the traditions me and Dane will have for having Christmas at home! I’m really excited for what we’re going to do on the day and how we’re going to do it.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake! I remember as a kid my mom decided to buy a real one and it was gorgeous, but it was a pain for the month she had it. The needles kept falling off etc. I don’t think I’d ever have a real one myself.

What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?

Mmm I always love the Christmas dinner. The way my parents do gravy, to huge fluffy Yorkshire puddings. I love everything! If there is one thing I’m not arsed about over Christmas it’s all the chocolates that go around throughout the day. We never did this as a family growing up, so whenever anyone does it elsewhere I just don’t get it to be fair. ๐Ÿ˜›

Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

I actually really love giving gifts. I like to think I’m quite thoughtful in the gifts I buy so when I get to see peoples reactions to what I’ve bought them, it really does make me happy. I feel rather guilty this year with Dane’s presents as I personally feel like I haven’t bought him a whole lot, even though deep down I know I have. :’)

I’m doing Secret Santa at work in a few weeks time and I really hope the person I have loves what I bought them. I can’t wait to see their face.

What is the best Christmas gift youโ€™ve ever received?

I could never pick one gift to be honest with you. I have a little collection to be fair including, my Kitchen Aid mixer, my Dyson hairdryer, my huge Totoro plushie, my Thomas Sabo bracelet, a little fox that Dane bought me when we first went to the Birmingham German Market together.

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

I don’t know to be perfectly honest… The only place I can think of is Japan, but I’d love to visit there all year around to be perfectly honest with you. ๐Ÿ˜› Me and Dane could have KFC for Christmas dinner hahaha!

Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I’m not a pro, but I’m not a fail anymore! I’m definitely getting better, which makes me happy as I feel so good in myself when I’ve wrapped a present really nicely. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m rather proud of how I wrapped most of my presents this year!

Most memorable Holiday moment?

Probably the first year I spent Christmas with Dane. It was probably the first one in years where I was genuinely excited for it for all sorts of reasons.

When did you realise the truth about Santa?

I must have been 10 or 11 and someone told me, “You really think Father Christmas buys all those presents for you? It’s your mom, Nat.”

I was of course gutted, but meh I soon got over it. xD

Do you make New Year’s resolutions? Do you stick to them?

I usually make at least one New Year’s resolution, this year was to save money which I’ve done really well and was quite pleased with. I’m trying to think what I can do this year and again it’ll probably be to save up money, but this time for a 30th holiday in Japan. ๐Ÿ™‚

What makes the holidays special for you?

Being with the ones I love, especially Dane and just being able to use the time of Christmas and New Year to think about the year coming to an end and what I’d like for the year ahead. Oh and having a bit of a break too, you know? ๐Ÿ˜›

So that was the Christmas tag 2018! It’s taken me most of the evening to write this post and it’s because I kept getting side tracked with watching Christmas movies. ๐Ÿ˜›

So with tagging people to take part in this post… I WANT EVERYONE WHO READS IT TO TAKE PART! ๐Ÿ˜€ It’s Christmas so the more the merrier. ๐Ÿ˜›

Are you excited for Christmas? What are you most excited about? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely weekend.

Blogger Recognition Award

I do apologise to any readers who may be fed the fuck up with posts where I’ve been nominated or tagged to take part in them. This month I did two, although I thought I’d actually done more.

Michael over at mnealewriting tagged me receive the award, which was really awesome, especially considering that it’s a recognition award, not just your average tag post or award post. You can read Michael’s blogger recognition award post here. Thanks again Michael for tagging me to take part in the award! ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s really nice to be recognised and I feel that 2018 has been a phenomenal year for my blog and it has made me so happy! I also feel like I’ve made so many blogging friends this year, as well as made some amazing connections. My blog is my hobby and it’s one that has made me so damn happy.

Of course with all awards there are rules, which I’ll explain down below!

Rules of the Blogger Recognition Award

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Write a post responding to the nomination.
  • Give a short story on how you started your blog.
  • Give 2 pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  • Nominate 15 other bloggers.
  • Let the bloggers know that you have nominated them. And provide them with a link to the post you created.

So, how did There Might Be Coffee come to be?

I started this blog on the 1st January 2012, I was 22, unemployed and it was called Broken Prophet Blog at the time. You can actually read my first ever post here!

I hadn’t long finished university and graduated and I was at a point in my life where I was a bit fed up. I hadn’t gotten a job in the profession I had just finished studying and like most students these days I was trying/working any job I could get (within reason of course). I had studied drama and creative writing, so writing was definitely something I LOVED doing and I missed writing. I mean don’t get me wrong, I wrote but I didn’t feel like it was enough. I wasn’t showing anyone my writing so I wasn’t getting any feedback like I previously had and it was making me feel a little crazy. So I decided to start my blog, but I don’t think I quite knew what I wanted to do at the time. I knew I just wanted to write like a journal of what I was doing and stuff like that. I loved fashion at the time, as well as beauty but I just wanted to write about everything! The more I wrote, the more I started to realise what I wanted to write about.

In May 2013 I decided it was time for a name change. The reason for the name beforehand was to coincide with my Twitter name, as a lot of people know me as Broken_Prophet. This was inspired by Lostprophets but it was just a bit weird and didn’t work, so after thinking long and hard I decided to change it to There Might Be Coffee after the Deadmau5 song, which I LOVE. If you want to find out more as to why I changed it, you can read about that here, which in turn is the day I changed my blogs name.

So yeah, that’s how There Might Be Coffee came about! ๐Ÿ˜›

Best 2 pieces of advice I can give to bloggers!

I always think of LOADS of ideas when it comes to people asking me for advice when they’re starting a blog, or even if they just need some additional ideas. I always feel like my advice is honest and handy to know, but I also worry my blog advice is poor as I dunno… I’m not exactly the best blogger in the world! ๐Ÿ˜› I feel like I have my own way of doing things.

So number 1! Don’t worry about advertising and promoting new and old blog posts ALL THE TIME. I rarely advertise stuff more than once because I don’t want to worry I ram my work and newest posts down people’s throats. I just personally don’t like to do it. I also don’t have time to do it. So my point of this piece of advice is if you don’t have time to advertise your new review all over your social media platforms, don’t sweat it. Just advertise as much as you can and to your own comfort. Don’t feel like you need to post it on your Twitter page every hour. I used to know someone who did this and it was SUCH A BORE. I didn’t want to see that. I know some people will tweet every now and then BUT they’ll share different posts from their blog. I like that, I really do! Sadly I just don’t have time, nor the effort involved to do this myself. I know I should but meh. So yeah never feel bad if you don’t do this either.

Number 2! This is hard because I’m torn between mentioning what Michael did and say to make friends, because blogger friends are some of the best to have! BUT as he mentioned that, I want to talk about something else and different. Write about WHAT you want! Don’t feel like you need to be certain niche, you can write about whatever you want and still consider yourself a certain thing. I always say I’m a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger with a geeky twist. I write about all sorts in all fairness. If I’ve bought some awesome merchandise from Japan, then fuck it I’ll talk about it! If my boyfriend has bought something cool and I want him to share it on my blog, I will. It’s your blog at the end of the day and as great as it is to make your readers happy and keep coming back, you need to be happy about what you’re writing.

I’ve known people quit blogging because they got bored with writing review after review, or constantly feeling like they’re buying clothing so they can keep up with all the trends on their blog. You get my point. Just write about whatever makes you happy! I am always in search of new geek, gamer and otaku/kawaii bloggers to follow and befriend!

My nominees! All 15 of them…

Sarah – Raiin Monkey

Estelle – Estellosaurus

Jess – Little Pink Duck

Eleanor – Eleanor May

Cate – Cateaclysmic

Vikki – Cuteek

Iga Berry

Envy – Lost In Translation

Emily – The Mini Mermaid

Emily – Coventry Life

Lizzie – Hello Lizzie Bee

Jasmine – Kkochsongi

Gemma – Just Gem

Thank you again to Michael for tagging me to take part in this awesome award that is going around at the moment. Whenever I’m tagged to take part in stuff like this I feel so loved! ๐Ÿ˜€

Sunshine Blogger Award

It’s Friday and the weekend is about to start for me and I’m pretty sure that yours is starting soon too!

Sunshine Blogger Award

Here are my answers to Sarah’s questions!

1. What’s your favourite mythical creature?

Probably a dragon to be honest with you. I know I love anything unicorn and mermaid themed, but meh I don’t actually care all that much about them as mythical creatures… Although mermaids are pretty cool in all fairness. I mean, think about it. What would you do all day if you were living the life that Ariel has? I know I’d probably be swimming around and such. ๐Ÿ˜›

2. Do you collect anything? If so what?

I collect so much stuff! My most prized possessions are my Japanese things such as Pokemon plushies, Persona 5 plushies and especially my Good Smile Company Nendoroid’s. Me and Dane have been collecting these for about 4 years now and we love it. We have them in our living room on display and they’re our pride and joy.

3. If you could dress up as anything for Halloween (with no cost restrictions in mind), what would you dress as?

Erm… I’d probably dress up as some sort of anime or gaming character. I’d definitely do a female version of Joker from Persona 5! I’d want to get some monies together so that Dane or my best friend Gabriella could also dress up with me! Oh man, that would be pretty cool to be honest with you. ๐Ÿ˜€ I’d also love to dress up as Lady Deadpool, but I definitely don’t have the body for that…

4. What are your top 5 songs right now?

Erm…

Myth & Roid – Voracity.

Hoobastank – The Reason.

Evanescence – Lithium.

Panic! At The Disco –ย But It’s Better If You Do.

Daft Punk – Around The World.

5. Share a fond memory from your childhood, and why it’s meaningful to you ๐Ÿ™‚

I remember when I was younger and I first got into gaming, I used to always be so excited to come home after school to play games on my PlayStation and Game Boy Color! At the time I was always playing games such as Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow as well as loads of random games on my PlayStation. I just always looked forward to it to be honest and it really was a joy to come home and play those games. I remember one summer I was just so stoked to get home from work to play Spider-Man. I loved the first Spider-Man game and played it daily.

6. What’s your favourite species of bird? (hahaha I know this is super random, but I was just having a conversation about birds and was compelled to ask! :D)

Oh wow this is such a random question, but I do love those types. Erm favourite bird though? It has to be a robin. They’re so gorgeous and adorable, you can never go wrong! I’ve always heard all sorts ofย  stories behind them, one being if you see one it means you’ll have a good day and luck and another being that if you see a robin it means a loved one who has passed is watching over you. Both meanings are lovely and mean a lot to me whenever I see robins now. Sometimes in the mornings at work I’ll see them.

7. Imagine you could be a witch or wizard for a day, what spell would you most like to cast first? Tell us why.

Mmm I don’t know to be honest with you as I’m not a massive wizard/witch fan. I’d probably want to learn how to create a dog for myself that can be left on its own all day! That would be the dream to be honest with you.

8. Do you have a go-to Autumnal make up product?

Probably just my deep berry pink shades, such as Rebel by MAC (review here) and Gum Drop Plushies by Lime Crime (review here) as I just feel like they work really well with mustard shades, as well as other darker shades too.

9. Spooky or Spoopy? (or both like me!)?

Spooky for sure. Spoopy just makes me think of Snoopy to be honest with you.

10. What’s something that you love the texture of? (Apologies for the random questions guys, I’m not very good at this!)

I don’t know what it’s called but it’s like shearling but it’s super soft and light to the touch. I’ve owned a couple of hoodies now with it inside and it’s just so soft and fluffy. I just love brushing my hand over it as it feels like a cloud. I’m definitely a fan of soft feeling clothing, there’s just something so comforting and relaxing about it. There is nothing worse than stroking a garment that you think is going to be lovely and it feels like sandpaper!

11. Are you a fan of sci-fi? If so, do you have a favourite movie and/or TV show?

I used to love sci-fi growing up, but I feel as the years have gone by I’ve not been as much of a fan of it as I used to be. I have always been a massive Star Wars fan after my brother and dad got me into it from a young age. I Googled popular sci-fi movies and TV shows and quite a lot of stuff came up as recommendations. Black Mirror was one for TV show and this is definitely one of my favourites TV series! Alongside that there were TV shows such as Stranger Things and American Horror Story, which are another two TV series that I love.

Aww I loved all of the questions that Sarah asked all 11 of us to answer, but now it’s my turn to come up with 11 questions! ๐Ÿ˜›

1. What is the most and less used app on your phone?

2. What is something you’re really looking forward to?

3. What is your favourite flower?

4. Do you like memes? If so which is your favourite?

5. You’re being executed for a crime you committed. What is your last meal? P.S. Sorry for the morbid sort of question! ๐Ÿ˜›

6. If you could change your name, what would you change it to and why?

7. Name 3 films that you’ve enjoyed watching this year?

8. For female bloggers – Ryan Reynolds head on your ex’s body? Or your ex’s head on Ryan Reynolds body? For male bloggers – Blake Lively’s head on your ex’s body? Or your ex’s head on Blake Lively’s body?

9. Have you ever shopped on Wish before? If so what did you think? If you haven’t, would you?

10. Do you ever wish you could go back to school and be the person you are now back then?

11. What is your favourite trend?

Finally it is time to tag 11 people who I want to see taking part in this tag! ๐Ÿ˜€

Gemma

Emily

Ruth

Aimee

Another 10 Facts About Me!

Good morning all, I hope you’re all well and had a lovely weekend… Even if the weather was shockingly shit! ๐Ÿ˜›

Gemma over at But Gemma Darling recently tagged me to take part in the 10 Little Unknowns tag. She’s such a sweetie and one of my favourite bloggers out there, so I KNEW I had to take part in this tag!

You can find her post here. I loved all her answers!

I’ve done unknown facts posts before on my blog, but I want to try and come up with some quirky answers and facts about me that not many know. I really hope you enjoy reading this post, I know I’m going to enjoy writing it. ๐Ÿ˜›

1. My thumb bends back a bit further than it should. It’s really odd and whilst I’m not double jointed, there is something unnatural about how far back my thumb goes. It’s always been commented on and it only seems to be my right thumb that does this. I try to make it straighter and “normal” looking but it actually hurts. Maybe I am slightly double jointed? Who knows. ๐Ÿ˜›

2. I like to think of this as my nifty party trick BUT I can rap “Weird Al” Yankovic’s White N Nerdy with and without the lyrics… But I’m better WITH the lyrics of course. ๐Ÿ˜› If you don’t know this song I’ve shown it above. It’s a really fast song to rap to and I’ve tried it on and off for the past 10 years now… So let’s just say I’ve had plenty of practise. ๐Ÿ˜›

3. I have food phobias. I don’t know how it started or when it started but meh I have it. I hate certain smells of foods, textures and even looks. The smell of thought of eating mushrooms makes me feel sick and in the past when I lived at home, my dad would fry mushrooms and once it made me throw up. Gross. I also hate the look of tomatoes, inside and out. They just don’t look like they should be eaten and that alone makes me heave.

Image may contain: 1 person, close-up

4. Inspired by Gemma, when I was born I wasn’t breathing straight away but a good smack to the bum got me to wake up. Apparently the drugs my mom had taken for the pain had caused me to erm… Not wake up basically. I was fine though!

5. I used to be a sex toy tester and every now and again I’ll test new sex toys, but that’s once in a blue moon lately. I’m not going to name which company I tested and reviewed for, but I did used to love doing it.

6. I have a pretty sick and dark sense of humour thanks to years of watching Dirty Sanchez, Jackass and cKy on MTV, as well as many other shows. Speaking of Dirty Sanchez, I recently went to see Lee Dainton and Matthew Pritchard talk about Dirty Sanchez and got to meet the guys after. Highlight of my year! ๐Ÿ˜€

Image may contain: 1 person, close-up

7. When I was 6 years old I looked like Hermione Granger… I hate this unknown fact about me as I’m not the biggest Harry Potter fan but meh, I see the resemblance. I wish my hair still looked that amazing! I loved having wavy hair growing up. This was due to a french braid though. My hair is naturally straight. Also, look how perfect them eyebrows are! ๐Ÿ˜›

8. I roll my eyes a lot, especially when talking about people and how they annoy me. I didn’t really notice how much I do this though until Dane’s brother pointed it out to me and how I look like the one guy from TGFBro. I just seem to do it to emphasise how annoying and dumb people are and in turn how much that annoys me.

9. Growing up I loved playing video games, my love of games has grown as the years have too, but sadly my enjoyment of certain games have declined and I couldn’t honestly tell you why. I have a feeling it’s actually from watching certain people play games for years and not having a go myself. It’s just made me feel like I may as well just watch people play games instead of partaking in them myself.

10. I actually think I have tokophobia, which is a fear of being pregnant/having children. I love seeing my friends and families babies and children, but the thought of having my own fills me with dread. The thought of having a baby freaks me out for so many reasons, including changing my body, my life and especially having no fucking money. Fair play to people who do it, I don’t know how you do. I’d say I don’t know why, but that would be very unfair. Meh either way this fear is growing monthly and it sucks.

Wow we made it to the end! It took me quite a few days to do, I’m not going to lie. ๐Ÿ˜› This post was actually meant to go up on Saturday but sadly I was just far too busy to get it done. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Oh well, better late than never eh?

Do you feel like you learnt some new things about me? Let me know which one(s) you found were new facts!

Right, time to invite some awesome people to give this a go too. ๐Ÿ˜›

The Mystery Blogger Award

It’s a Wednesday evening and I’m sat in my garden with a cold drink and Daft Punk playing in the background. I’m loving life right now, especially considering the weekend is also around the corner. ๐Ÿ˜›

I was thinking for ages about what I could do today’s blog post about and I had loads of ideas swirling around but I didn’t feel like any of them were suitable for today. Then I remembered, Gemma had tagged me in The Mystery Blogger Award post of hers!

mystery-blogger

In the past I’ve been nominated for one, maybe two awards but meh I never bothered with them. I really like the sound of this one though! ๐Ÿ˜›

The award was originally created by Okoto Enigma and as I said before, Gemma nominated me so a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Gemma for that, who I talk to on Twitter about Pokemon Go! ๐Ÿ˜›

So, off we go! ๐Ÿ˜€

The Rules!…

1. Display the award logo/image on your blog.

2. List the rules.

3. Thank whoever nominated you and link their blog.

4. Mention the creator of the award and link their blog.

5. Tell the readers 3 things about yourself.

6. Nominate 10-20 people. Notify them by commenting on their blog.

7. Ask your nominees any 5 questions, with one being weird or funny (specify which one that is)

8. Share a link to your best posts.

Three things about me!

1. I’m a massive Pokemon fan and have been since I was 9 years old, that means next year I’ll have been a fan for 20 years!

2. My favourite colour to wear is black, but red is also another colour I love wearing.

3. I was asked recently which band I would love to see before I die and the answer is Daft Punk. I’ve loved them since One More Time was released and since then they’ve been one of my favourite bands.

The questions Gemma asked usโ€ฆ

Q1. What are your Autumn and Winter go to comforts?

A1. Oh so many! Definitely having a lovely hot bubble bath, burning scented candles and especially wrapping up in my favourite fluffy blanket. I love being toasty and warm so evenings like this are the best, ever!

Q2. If your life had a scent what would it be?

A2. Mmm I don’t know to be honest with you… Probably Alien or Angel or something peppermint scented. ๐Ÿ˜›

Q3. What film are you most looking forward to this year?

A3. I was most looking forward to Deadpool 2 and now that’s finished… I’m really excited for Bohemian Rhapsody later this year to be honest with you as well as Venom.

Q4. If you could have any cartoon character narrate your day to day life like a book who would you choose? โ€“ funny question.

A4. Holy shit I have SO MANY IDEAS! Okay, one idea is the narrator from the original Pokemon anime and Morgana from Persona 5. ๐Ÿ˜›

Q5. What was/is your favourite cartoon/anime?

A5. If I had to choose one anime it would probably have to be Nana, but if I had the choice of a couple I would also add K-ON!.

As for nominations, I’ve just got to nominate these gorgeous human beings…

Raiin Monkey

Estellosaurus

Simply Stacey

Evolution Of Amy Jane

Kkochsongi

Cuteek

Eleanor May

The Mini Mermaid

Her Gaming World

Little Pink Duck

My questions for you guys are…

Q1. What is one thing you are really excited for this year? It can be as big or as small as you wish.

Q2. Who is your oldest/best friend? I want you to tell me how you met and a funny moment you both share.

Q3. If you could be a biscuit, which biscuit would you be? (Funny)

Q4. What band/artist would you like to see before you die? Obviously they have to still be around.

Q5. As it is the summer holidays, what is your favourite childhood memory from your six weeks off school?

Finally, my 3 best blog posts…
