Quirkory Souls Of Nature Collection

I am SPOILING you guys! Less than a month ago I wrote on my blog about Quirkory and their previous Patreon collection, Baukery. Now, I’m coming to you with their Souls of Nature collection, which released last year through a Kickstarter campaign.

A cute and elegant Collection of pins & more featuring our Spirit Animals! Let yourself be blessed by their Good Fortune ʕ๑•̀ ω •́๑ʔو

I’ve been so excited to share the goodies I backed through this campaign, but they have taken a while to arrive with me due to some issues Quirkory faced. I don’t know if this upset anyone at the time, but personally I wasn’t fussed, I knew I would get my goods from Quirkory eventually and in all honesty, they were worth the wait!

Quirkory’s Souls of Nature collection had been in the works for quite some time, with original sketches being drawn up in late 2019! The collection itself is huge, alone with a whopping forty four different enamel pin design combinations!

The collection included twelve enamel pin designs:

Twelve designs – Kitsune (fox), okami (wolf), tanuki (raccoon dog), kuma (bear), shika (deer), usagi (rabbit), uma (horse), habi (snake), tara (tiger), tatsu (dragon), neko (cat) and, inu (dog).

There was also four colour types to choose from, Hanami special edition, light, dark, and vaper wave.

Alongside the extensive variety of enamel pin designs and colours, there was also more rewards to choose, A5 sticker sheets, two different sets of mini pins, wooden and frosted charms, pop sockets, washi tapes, A5 art prints, enamel pin display banner, and deskmats.

I opted for two enamel pins, as well as a deskmat. Alongside the goodies I backed for, Quirkory also sent me some pop sockets, as well as wooden charms!

So first of all I will talk about the goods I backed.

Inu (dog) light variant enamel pin.

I have to say, this is my favourite design out of he twelve, mainly due to how playful and cute the design is, but I love dogs, alongside foxes, sea otters and raccoons, they’re my favourite animal. The inu design is adorable in itself, with the inu’s design in a running pose. I opted for the light variant for the inu design too as I felt it worked really well with the white body, blue accents and the red bell collar. I wish I’d backed for some of the other colour variants of this enamel pin so I could pop one on a backpack, or jacket. 😛

Tanuki (raccoon dog) dark variant enamel pin.

Definitely my second favourite design from the collection, and one I knew from the start I wanted to get in the dark variant! As tanuki are grey/dark grey, it made sense to go for a darker colour. I did like the look of the one variant which would have given the tanuki black and pink accents, but as purple is my favourite colour, the dark variant was a no brainer!

Hanami pattern deskmat.

This was probably the item I was most excited for! At the time of backing this deskmat I hadn’t long bought my Eeveelutions deskmat from Japan, so in my excitement I did also back for the Hanami pattern deskmat too. This thing is HUGE, it’s too big for my desk, as you’ll be able to tell on the photos above. It features all of the animal designs, which I think is adorable! It really is bringing a smile to my face whenever I’m working from home, or sitting at my desk. It’s going to be my new flat lay image too, which makes a nice change from the Eeveelution one.

I’ll also share with you guys the items that Quirkory sent me as little freebies! I was not expecting any extra goodies thrown in, so as always, a massive thank you for Quirkory for these!

Inu (dog) and Tanuki (raccoon dog) pop sockets.

Who doesn’t love a good pop socket, eh? I lived for mine during 2018 and then 2020. These days I don’t use one, but as and when I change my phone, I would like to get a case where I could use one! The two designs Quirkory sent me are adorable, especially the inu, which I can’t stop staring at whilst writing this post! They seem really sturdy and good quality! If I don’t manage to use them as pop sockets for my phone, I may end up using them as little hooks for my plushie cabinet… We’ll see. 😛

Inu (dog) and Tanuki (raccoon dog) wooden charms.

These were a massive surprise to see and to be honest, I’m so grateful for Quirkory sending me these, as I do love charms, especially cute ones! Again, they sent me the inu and tanuki versions, with the inu being a light variant, and the tanuki being a dark variant. The tanuki I received a while before my Souls of Nature goodies arrived, so that’s been hanging with a tanuki windchime I bought in Japan in 2020. I do plan on potentially popping the inu charm on my car or house keys… because why not! I’d possibly take the tassel off however as I’d worry about it getting ruined.

A5 sticker sheets.

Finally I received not one, not two, but five sticker sheets, with all twelve designs, as well as the four colour variants, and the special colour variant too! I definitely plan on sticking these places soon, which I’m really excited for!

Overall, I really love the Souls of Nature collection! I remember Quirkory giving their Patreon subscribers a sneak peak years ago and I was extremely excited for the kitsune design! I honestly hope they bring these designs to their store in the near future, as they deserve to be and not just a Kickstarter exclusive collection. 🙂

Some of the designs I’d love to own as enamel pins in the future are the kitsune, okami, shika, and tatsu. They’re such gorgeous designs and I do semi regret not getting them previously.

I’m going to add all of Quirkory’s social media pages and especially their store below:

What do you guys like the most about this collection? I do love everything if I’m honest! It was such a gorgeous collection from Quirkory and since then they’ve brought out some more adorable collections, including Delicows and Baukery.

Which design(s) did you like? What colour variants would you put with them? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments!

Until next time, I hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend guys and take care!

TeeTurtle – UK Games Expo Haul

If there is one brand from over the pond I have loved for as long as I can remember, it’s TeeTurtle. I’ve known of their t-shirts and designs for over ten years now, as I discovered them around 2011 when Nyan Cat emerged and they created a t-shirt design inspired by it.

Nyom Cat

Pocket Monster

Images taken from Ramy on DeviantArt.

Since then I’ve gone on to buy a second-hand Charmander t-shirt from eBay, as well as some t-shirts for me and Dane from UK Games Expo 2019 (you can check out the designs I bought here).

TeeTurtle is a brand that create t-shirts for everyone, whether you play video games, board games/Dungeons & Dragons, love all sorts of animals, and more! They do also work with Disney to create Disney, Star Wars and Marvel designs, as well as Pokemon in the past. However, due to TeeTurtle being an American company, us guys in the UK cannot get access to view any of those designs, which in turn make me sad.

To add by the way, TeeTurtle are the original creator of the reversible plushies, which have now unfortunately been stolen and replicated by knock off brands.

When visiting UK Games Expo 2022 almost a month ago, I knew that TeeTurtle would be there and sort of made it my mission/goal to go and check them out and pick up some t-shirts for both me and Dane.

The stand wasn’t as big as it was back in 2019, which I thought was a shame. I’m also pretty sure in 2019 they had two stands, a small one to sell the games and a bigger one to sell the clothing items. This being said, they still had plenty of amazing designs to choose from and gave you a book to flick through for any designs you wanted to buy. We saw loads we loved, but at first we limited ourselves to two each, like what we did back in 2019. We were given offers last time too of, “buy three get one free”, which we snapped up!

One of the things Dane noticed fairly quickly was that a lot of stock was limited, as TeeTurtle had faced some printing/stock issues prior to coming to UK Games Expo, but that didn’t put me off! They offered to ship the goods for a £5 charge, which I assumed was shipping from within the UK. Alas this was not the case and our order actually shipped from America! More about that later though.

T-shirts were priced at £20 each and as we were offered, “Buy four get one free” we decided to go with it! Dane picked out two designs and I picked out three.

I don’t know why, but I felt like there was a lot more variety at 2019, so I was a tad disappointed about the variety at 2022, but this being said there was plenty for us to choose from and if anything, it’s made me want to place an order from TeeTurtle in the future to grab some more fox designs. All designs that were at UK Games Expo were convention exclusive, however if you look on the website, there are some similar designs to choose from!

As mentioned previously, we paid £20 for each design and £5 for shipping from America. We also bought all t-shirts in a men’s size L, which is probably a little too big for me, but that being said I love my baggy t-shirts!

The t-shirts that TeeTurtle use are amazing quality, which feel really soft when worn and are very comfortable due to that. I highly recommend them to be honest if you want some geeky and cute t-shirts.

Send Noods

This is definitely one of the first designs I picked up as it’s just me all over! I love foxes and I love ramen and noodles, so it was a no brainer really! This is on a navy t-shirt and it works so nicely! This is definitely one I’ll wear whenever me and Dane plan to go for ramen again… Because why not! I’m just going to feel so odd wearing a t-shirt that asks you to send noods. 😛

Pew Pew Kitsune

I love kitsune foxes, they always hold a bit of a soft spot in my heart, mainly due to them being a part of the fox family and a Japanese folklore. Dane actually has a cat version of this design, pew pew included, so it made sense for me to grab this design so we can wear them together when going to games based conventions and such.

Anxious Raccoon

This t-shirt is me all over and I really love it! It’s the first one out of the three I picked up that I decided to wear, just because. I love raccoons, they’re my spirit animal and as I have anxiety, I’m also an anxious soul. When I went to pick my third design Dane literally said to me, “You have to get that one!”, so this is definitely a t-shirt design I’ll wear often, maybe more so at home than out and about. I don’t really want people to ask, “Aww do you have anxiety?” but even do, yes I bloody do! So, maybe this design will be great when going to places I’m nervous of.

Hippity Hoppity Your Soul is My Property (Glow)

This is the first design out of the two Dane picked up that he chose. This design glows in the dark and is now the second glow in the dark TeeTurtle design he has added to his little growing collection. When in the dark, the design will glow to show a skull on the bunny, which I love! It’s right up Dane’s street and such an adorable design to boot. I’m so glad he went for it.

Dragon Master

Finally we have the second design that Dane went for, which just made sense really. Since 2019 Dane has been a dungeon master for D&D games on and off and recently has decided to DM for a game of Vaesen for me, my best friend and her boyfriend. It’s a perfect design for anyone who would like to wear a TeeTurtle design, without it being in your face cute. Dane wore this t-shirt last week and commented about how soft, roomy and great it was!

So, there we have it! Our TeeTurtle haul from UK Games Expo. Delivery wise these were shipped about less than a week after purchasing from the UK Games Expo and from then until now they took just under two weeks to arrive, which I thought was really good! What I especially thought was good was the fact they only charged us £5 for delivery. They could have easily asked for more, so massive thumbs up for TeeTurtle for that!

I really do love TeeTurtle’s designs and would love to own more in the future. Due to this, I thought I’d add a couple of designs below that I’m hoping to pick up in the future, whether it be at another convention, or from their website itself.

Tale of Tails t-shirt TeeTurtle black t-shirt featuring a little orange fox hunched over reaching a book on the ground with a big swirly pink kitsune coming out of the book with branches with pink leaves by the kitsune and a white full behind them

Tale of Tails

I Give Zero Fox t-shirt TeeTurtle

I Give Zero Fox,

Until next time, take care guys and I hope you’re having a lovely weekend so far.

Happy Easter!

Image taken from weheartit.com

I can’t for the life of me remember if I’ve ever written and wished my readers a happy Easter… Well no time for the present!

It’s late Easter Sunday now and me and Dane have had a really lazy day together. It was Dane’s birthday on Friday so we did contemplate doing a long weekend full of outings and nice things that he’d want to do for his birthday. Alas we didn’t really do that today.

As I did last year I baked Dane a birthday cake. Last year I made him a Deadpool cake and this year I decided to do an Easter nest cake to coincide with the Easter weekend. It turned out better than I planned and I loved making it. I’ve only had once slice so far, but I intend to polish off the last piece Tuesday on my day off of work.

Today consisted of playing retro games on my PlayStation 1 and 2, which was a lot of fun! Played some oldies such as Crazy Taxi, Tomb Raider and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

I sadly didn’t get a copy of the Easter egg Dane bought before he smashed it and ate some, but we got a picture of mine! I haven’t eaten it still… It looks so cute and too nice to eat. 😥 I did however tuck into some Mini Eggs. Has to be done!

I also had myself a relaxing bath after starting out Easter Sunday dinner, which Dane finished off with a bit of assistance from myself.

For the first time ever I made my own roast potatoes and guess what? They turned out just as I hoped they would, if not better according to Dane! I’ve not made us a proper Sunday roast yet but I plan to give it a go very soon for my family. Me and Dane decided recently that for Christmas this year we’ll spend the day at home together and cook our Christmas dinner together. I know that’s a long way ahead to think of but it’ll be here again before we know it!

This Easter has been amazing and definitely one of my favourites. Not only was it Dane’s birthday, but we also spent a lovely long weekend together. We went for a birthday lunch with Dane’s parents, I baked his birthday cake, cooked our alternative Sunday dinner and we went to the Nature Centre in Birmingham together too and got to see the red pandas playing together.

It’s definitely been a weekend I’ve needed. The week after next we have a week off together to do fun things, as well as do some little finishing touches to the house. I honestly cannot wait.

Times like this remind me of how much I love Dane and just how much he means to me… Which is the world.

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you have had a lovely day, and weekend as a matter of fact.

Have you done anything special? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time take care all and I hope you enjoy the rest of the day.

Christmas 2013!

DSC_0307

To start off this post, I am in no way, shape or form trying to show off about what I received for Christmas and if you already feel a bit sore about this post then I advice you to leave now. Around this time of year I like to read of what other bloggers have been given for Christmas and the reasons behind why they may have received such items from loved ones, family and friends, so I thought I would make one myself as I’ve always wanted to. Plus regular readers may wish to know what I had nice.

I’ve never written a post like this before (from memory anyway!) as I haven’t received this much stuff since I was a teenager! I love everything I was bought and I know everything had some kind and lovely thoughts behind them.

So without further ado, let me show you what I got! 🙂

DSC_0269

So this is the big pile of presents I received Christmas Day! As well as two presents from my boyfriends parents, which I will mention and show pictures of at the end of this post.

These were a mixture of presents from both my parents, my best friend, my sister-in-law and nephews and my boyfriend. I also received £20 from my aunt and £40 from my brother, which was lovely of them all! I intend to go shopping with my boyfriend Saturday morning to buy myself Beyond: Two Souls for my PS3 as well as a new diary. The rest of the money will be saved until I find something I really want or need.

A lot of my presents this year were fox related, which in itself is amazing as I love them so much!

DSC_0272

This gorgeous fox wash bag with some toiletries in there was from my best friend. We met up Monday afternoon to have a catch up, a bite to eat and to exchange presents. We were going to wait until Christmas Day to open these but decided to there and then as she just got me worked up as to what she had bought me. I had been eying this up every time I went into Boots but never thought to buy it for myself, I’m so happy my best friend bought it for me mind! In the set you get a body butter, body wash and bubble bath and look how cute the packaging is for the body was and bubble bath! They also smell amazing! It reminds me of a mango and passion fruit lip balm I had when I was at school, but my boyfriend commented how he thought it smelt of strawberries. Either way it smells amazing and this little wash bag will come in handy too.

DSC_0308

This is a lovely Liberty London Hello Kitty set was from my sister-in-law and nephews. I wasn’t expecting anything from her as she’s been so busy and such lately with the boys so it was lovely that she was able to get myself and my Dad something nice. In this set there is a shower gel and body lotion, along with a shower cap which has a gorgeous pattern on it! I used the body lotion yesterday before my boyfriend and I went over to his Gran’s with family for a party. It was lovely to meet the rest of his family and his Gran is so sweet and Irish so that’s a definite win! 😀 With the shower cap, I can’t see me using this unless I use some special conditioning mask on my hair, but otherwise when I shower I usually put my hair up in a high bun. The last time I used a shower cap was when I last had head lice! Shower caps freak me out to this day and always remind me of when I had head lice. *shudder* Either way this is gorgeous and the body lotion and shower gel smell amazing! I’m keeping the body lotion at my boyfriends to use when I’m over here.

DSC_0273

This is all the goodies my boyfriend bought for me and as regular readers will know (as well as my friends who read my blog) this is  our first Christmas together and it sure is a wonderful one to have started off with. He really did spoil me this year and I love all the presents he bought as I know each and every one had thought behind it and for that it’s made each present as special as the next. However I do have my favourite one…

DSC_0274

Running up to Christmas Day my boyfriend told me how a lot of my Christmas presents were fox related and I thought I only had one fox related present (which I already knew about) but this wasn’t the case and I received three fox related presents from him! This was probably my favourite Christmas present as I have been in search of another fox jumper for ages (I have my eye on one from Animal… It’s in their sale!) and when I saw this, I was over the moon! It’s a gorgeous cream colour with various different coloured dots running throughout the wool, which is lovely and looks different! Of course as you can see in the middle is a gorgeous fox, which is super soft and fluffy to touch! I’m going to wear this tomorrow when me and my boyfriend go shopping. I can’t wait to wear it! I’ll be teaming it either with a tartan skirt and my Chelsea boots or my wine skinny fit jeans and my Chelsea boots. Also with whatever I chose to wear I’ll be throwing my pleather biker jacket with spiked shoulders.

DSC_0275

DSC_0279

This is another one of my favourite presents from my boyfriend! He’d sneakily wrapped it up inside the snowboarding pants he’d bought me, which I knew about him buying me back in October. We’d ventured into Forbidden Planet whilst shopping in Coventry one afternoon when I spotted this Lumpy Space Princess beanie. I mentioned this on my December Wish List and was close to buying it myself the last time we went in there, but I’m glad I didn’t as it was a lovely surprise! This hat is gorgeous and soft, as well as warm and I’m wearing it today. It’s probably one of the nicest hats I own and I’ll be wearing it a lot over the winter season, as well as when I start snowboarding! BTW Lumpy Space Princess is from Adventure Time, a show me and my boyfriend started to get into recently! Here’s a video all about the gorgeous purple diva! She’s amazing and I know so many Adventure Time fans who love her. I also love Princess Rainicorn!

DSC_0276

Snow Pants

These are my banana pants, to you, my yellow snowboard pants. My boyfriend bought these for me months ago but then stated how he was going to get them me for Christmas. They weren’t cheap and probably cost him near to £50, if not over that amount and these babies were in the sale! They’re super comfortable and super baggy, which is exactly what I wanted! I just love the colour of these and how awesome they look on too. I so far have my snowboarding pants and some gloves, all I need to get now is a jacket, a helmet and some crash pants. Then as I learn and get better I can get my own boots, as well as some more protective gear and in the future a snowboard!

DSC_0281

DSC_0282

My boyfriend wanted me to open this before Christmas but I declined and said I wanted something to open on the actual day. He had told me it was a game and showed me the top left hand side of the box and hinted at, “This is a  game you’ve wanted a while but haven’t bought. Also we thought it was only available online too.” At first I couldn’t guess what it was but after asking if Pewdiepie on YouTube had played it and him saying yes I guessed it was The Binding Of Isaac and alas I was right. I have indeed wanted this game for a long time but after attempting to play it once, whilst tired after Christmas dinner and then once again after Boxing Day after yet being more tired I as yet haven’t really played this properly. However, my boyfriend hasn’t been able to stop playing it!

DSC_0283

Everyone always gets me chocolates or biscuits and this year I got this gorgeous tin with two foxes on the front, with some chocolate chip cookies inside. My boyfriend and his Mom spotted this and picked it up for me. I love when people can see things in shops and think of me, which is why I’ve probably received so many fox related things this year. I probably won’t eat the biscuits out of this tin, but I’ll certainly re-use the tin for something! Maybe my lip products.

DSC_0284

I always love receiving a new calendar at Christmas time and last year I received a Domo Kun one, when deep down I did really want a Simon’s Cat one. SO when I saw a calendar shaped present inside the big bag I had a feeling it was this calendar. I remember spotting it in Waterstones when my boyfriend and I went into there for a look one Sunday afternoon and I spotted this, his reaction being, “It has stickers!” So I’m really pleased to have received this, as I love Simon’s Cat! When I go sales shopping I’ll be picking up the diary to match, as I’ve had one the past three years now.

DSC_0287

DSC_0299

This is the final present I’ll be talking about that I received from my boyfriend, and also one of my favourites! I knew I had this present as the one time I visited the German Market with my boyfriend and our friends I stopped at the plush toy stand there and looked at the cute little fox plushies, as well as searching for a red panda one. My boyfriend offered to buy me this and I didn’t really turn his offer down so I said yes and he said I wouldn’t be able to accept it until Christmas Day, which of course was the other day. This fox plush is super soft and fluffy, I think I’ll be keeping it on my bed as it’ll always remind me of my boyfriend. I don’t know what to call him (or her!) at this moment in time, I don’t mind taking name ideas! 😉 Here’s a cute picture of me holding it! My boyfriend took loads, but this one was the best out of the bunch.

DSC_0309

DSC_0310

These are the lovely beauty related things my Mom got me for Christmas. I actually wasn’t expecting anything from her, as she said to me, “What would you like Nat? I haven’t bought you anything.” What a bloody liar! Bless her though, when I was handed three or four presents off of her I was pleasantly surprised and I love everything she has bought for me!

DSC_0312

She bought me three Elemis items, Skin Nourishing Milk Bath, Quiet Mind Room Mist and Fruit Active Rejuvenating Mask. I haven’t yet tried any of these products but I intend to Saturday night or Sunday morning when I’m back in Birmingham (I’m in Coventry at the moment…) and I can tell you, I’m excited to try these! The milk bath smells of vanilla and honey, which is one of my favourite scents so I know I’ll enjoy using this in the bath to help me relax. I did give the room mist a spritz and it smells amazing! I’ll be using this on my bed when I change the covers every week and maybe on the curtains in my room once a month. It’s said to help you have a peaceful nights sleep, which I always long for! Finally the mask, I really can’t wait to try this, however I do have rather sensitive skin, so I really hope this doesn’t burn my skin whilst I’m wearing it, otherwise I will have to donate it back to my Mom.

DSC_0313

It’s really quite funny about my Mom also buying me L’Occitane for Christmas, as I didn’t actually know she knew this brand existed, so I bought her some lavender soap and hand cream from L’Occitane in Birmingham, hoping she would like the set. We opened our presents at the same time and we were pleasantly surprised and both said how we had a L’Occitane hand cream to start 2014 off with! All four products are almond related and the only one I have tried so far is the Smooth Hands hand cream, which not only makes my hand feels amazing, but it smells delicious too! I think I have been converted to L’Occitane! As well as this I got a Foot Cream, Shower Scrub and Shower Oil, but this is an Eco Refill version, which doesn’t bother me. I can’t wait to try these out on Saturday night or Sunday morning too! I’m somewhat excited to smell of yummy almonds.

Finish This Book

Dressing Gown

These were the last presents I received on Christmas Day (thus the reason for the iPhone pictures) and it is a Keri Smith book and a dressing gown with my name on off of my boyfriends parents. The dressing gown is a gorgeous dark pink colour and as you can see has my name (spelt correctly) stitched onto the right hand side of the gown. My boyfriend’s Mom bought me this to use whenever I stay over and it was a lovely buy from her! As I mentioned I received one of Keri Smith’s books, Finish This Book. I already own Wreck This Journal and I loved it! I want to soon enough own all of her books but this one had been on my wishlist for years (two or three to be precise) so the fact that I finally own it, makes me super happy! I’m going to give it a go over the weekend whilst I’m back in Birmingham. I can’t wait!

DSC_0314

Finally we have the last of my presents that I received and my favourite ones this year too. My Dad bought me two Pandora charms to add to my bracelet that I received in November and whilst it wasn’t a surprise, it was lovely that he bought them for me.

DSC_0315

DSC_0316

Pandora

I received two gorgeous charms off of my Dad and whilst he knew I wanted the Mrs Hedgehog charm he didn’t know I wanted the Bunny charm  until we popped into Pandora and bought these two charms, as well as two for my Mom. I love the two little charms I received and even popped the Mrs Hedgehog charm on my December Wish List. I mentioned over there (I think anyway!) that Mrs  reminds me of my Gran and has done since a young age so I knew I wanted this charm when I saw it on Pandora’s website back in November. As well as that after looking at the Bunny charm I loved the look of it. The detail on both of these charms is amazing! The Bunny has a little rucksack on, which has two Easter eggs inside. The Mrs Hedgehog charm has a cute little bow in her spikes, as well as a spotty dress on and a little handbag in her right hand. You can also see her little feet popping out of the bottom of her dress. The detail for them both is amazing and I can’t stop looking at my Pandora. I’m rather proud of the charms I’m starting to get on my bracelet and in the next week or so I’ll have a post on here all about my bracelet and which charms I own, as well as a wish list of which ones I’m wanting!

So, those were all the presents I received for Christmas this year! As I stated at the start of this post, this wasn’t written up to intend on showing off, or upsetting people. I like reading posts like this, so I thought regular readers, as well as new ones might want to read about what I received.

Any negative comments made on this post (as well as anywhere else on my blog) will be removed straight away and reported.

Anyhoo, what did you receive this Christmas? And did you have a lovely day? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I really enjoyed mine, as well as Boxing Day!

Until next time, take care and see you soon.

Adventure Time With Animals, Part Two! *WARNING PICTURE HEAVY AGAIN THUS V. LONG POST*

So yesterday I wrote about mine and my boyfriends day out to Hoar Park, a children’s farm in Nuneaton, which you can find here if you haven’t read it yet.

We went on Saturday afternoon and whilst it wasn’t the warmest of days, it was still lovely and it didn’t rain, which we were both glad about… Even if I did have my umbrella at the ready!

After we had looked around the farm and all the animals there, we went onto the part of the farm where the smaller animals were kept and I think it’s safe to say we spent most of the time there. The animals in there were just so damn cute and I felt a little sad to leave a certain little dude behind, I think we both wished we could have taken him home with us on Saturday.

DSC_0103

DSC_0105  DSC_0153

The guinea pigs we saw in the little animal hut were so adorable! There was two pens full of them and one set of them were called The Chocaholic’s because they were all shades of brown and white. These guys were quick when you went to try and take photographs of them, but I’m rather proud of this quick snap I got of this little guy whilst he ate some of his food. I like how cute he looks with some sawdust on his head. He happily sat there eating whilst I took picture after picture, but this one turned out to be the best. Although they were all quick, they were really friendly and didn’t shy away from the camera when taking pictures of them.

The rabbits were all pretty chilled and for the majority were either sleeping or lying down twitching their little noses. They just look so fluffy and cozy as they sleep and huddle together. I love how the rabbits lay down on their sides to sleep, they looked so peaceful and at the same time pretty shattered! We’ve all gone home after a long day at university, work or even seeing friends and lay down on our beds or sofas the same way! Both the guinea pigs and rabbits were for sale and I was surprised to see so many in there, I’d love to have taken one of these home.

I love turtles and tortoises and when I get my own place I would love to get one of my own, this being said I’d probably be too nervous to touch it incase I hurt it! I was once told from a tortoise owner that if you turn it upside down, you could kill it… If this is true I’d be so scared of it ever happening! Anyhoo, these two guys were pretty funny and I could have watched them for ages. The little one kept trying to have some fun with the larger one and the big kid in me thought it was a funny thing to watch. I love the last picture in this trio, they’re just staring at me whilst I wave at them. Damn I need a tortoise of my own!

As I mentioned in the post yesterday, I had never seen a black duck before and it really brought some sort of childish excitement out in me. They look so beautiful, so when we went into where the chicks and ducklings were kept and spotted these, I couldn’t stop saying, “Aww!” in the highest pitch I could manage with a sore throat. There was only two or three of them in there, but they were a real treat to see and I couldn’t stop taking pictures of them.

The yellow ducklings were just as cute as the black ones and my boyfriend got this really cute one of a duckling looking directly at him/the camera. I love the little bits of fluff on their heads, I don’t know if this is their feathers malting away or if it’s a tuft of feathers they have on their head. Either way it’s cute and makes it look like they have an afro! Before we left we noticed one of the chicks was sat on this ducklings head whilst he was lying down, eventually falling to sleep. We joked saying, “Get your butt out of my face!” it was rather comical and yet childish at the same time. 😛

This is one of my favourite pictures that my boyfriend took. In their little cage by the chicks and ducklings pens, was this little yellow budgie. It sat quietly in its cage watching us look around and posed for pictures whenever we took any.  I took a couple, like my boyfriend did but this was the best one out of them all! Looks like such a photogenic, poser, doesn’t it? The picture shows off the colour of its feathers perfectly too, a lovely greeny yellow, I bet it would have been nice to stroke the little budgie.

Now I’ve saved the best pictures until last on this post. This little dude here really cheered me up on Saturday and my boyfriend and I really wanted to take him home with us, as well as pick him up to snuggle, but of course we weren’t allowed to. We took so many pictures of him and as much as I wanted to show you all of them, it would have made this post WAY TOO LONG and it’s long enough already as it is. Maybe I’ll include the  other photographs on another post sometime, we’ll see. This is a little male bunny and boy did he have a photogenic personality! At first he seemed rather quiet, but as soon as we started taking pictures of him he hopped over towards us and posed like a good ‘un! He looked so soft and fluffy and rocked some awesome black rings around his eyes, as well as a cute little black dot on his right ear, which I thought was adorable. He cost £25 to buy and I really do hope he goes to a good home, how has anyone not bought him yet? I wish either of us could have bought him and brought him home with us. I was rather sad to leave when we did, purely because of how cute this little dude was. I hope my boyfriend and I can go back to this farm in the future and still see him there!

After we finally finished looking around the farm we popped into the cafe to have some tea and lunch. The tea was really good and after our lunch we were full. It was nice to sit down for a bit and we even discussed some more adventure ideas for us to go on. After that we popped out into the field nearby to take my pictures for my what I wore post as well as some personal pictures of us both to have.

I had a wonderful day with my boyfriend at the farm and I’d love to go there again in the future!

If you live near Nuneaton, I suggest you go to Hoar Park yourself, whether you have children, or not! It’s a lovely little place and I can imagine it being really nice during the colder autumn months and in the summer time too.

I really enjoy doing these adventure posts with my boyfriend and I can’t wait to do more of these in the future, hopefully with vlogs too!

What did you get up to last weekend? Have you got any mini or big adventures planned soon? Let me know in the comments?

Also, would you have bought that bunny? Let me know. 😉

Until next time, take care and I hope everyone’s week has been going well.
