New Years Tag

Okay guys don’t be too shocked, but it looks like I’m posting twice in one week! :O I know, I can’t believe it either. ๐Ÿ˜› As regular readers will know, I stated at the start of 2020 and the end of 2020 that I would only post one post a week moving forward and only post more for special occasions. This is one of those special occasions.

I was recently tagged by one of my best friends (yes Sarah, you’re classed as one of my besties now!) to take part in the New Years Tag and I didn’t want to miss out on taking part, nor did I want to push back any review posts, so I thought I would do two posts in one week! ๐Ÿ˜›

Sarah over at Raiin Monkey has actually created this tag, as well as tagging me to take part. She created it as she isn’t a huge fan of resolution posts and I can’t say as I blame her. I used to write them all the time years before, but for the past couple of years, I’ve not bothered. This is a great tag to kick start the New Year, whether it be to share your New Year related answers, or to even introduce new readers to your blog!

Either way, I’m so excited to take part and again, thank you so much Sarah for tagging me! Make sure to go and check out the original tag post AND go and read Sarah’s answers! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s chilly this evening so go and grab yourself a hot drink, or even run a hot bath and read this as you have a soak! ๐Ÿ™‚

Tags always include rules, right? So, here’s mine:

1. Copy the questions to your blog.

2. Link back to my original post, and also thank the person who tagged you (linking theirs, too).

3. Answer the questions.

4. Add your own question (if you want to).

5. Tag 4-6 friends to answer it.

6. Give yourself a pat on the back. You blogged!! You’re awesome!

The Questions:

1. Let’s start by looking back at 2020. What were three good things that happened to you?

I went to Japan for two weeks in January, literally less than a week after my 30th. It was amazing and the memories both me and Dane made there were something I held to dearly throughout 2020. I’m taking part in Japanuary over on Instagram (theremightbecoffeeblog) for the whole of January and being able to talk and share my trip to Japan last year is really helping. I miss Japan so much right now and I’m already contemplating going in 2022…

This is kind of a bad thing that became a good thing, but we had some water damage in our bathroom that affected the kitchen ceiling. We were able to claim this damage on insurance BUT we decided enough was enough and jumped at the chance to get our bathroom redone… It’s been almost six months now since we had it done and it’s changed our lives. It’s gorgeous and we’re so happy with it.

I can’t actually think of a third one… It’s really hard! I guess one thing lockdown helped me with a little is to “live a little” and do things that I’d wanted to for a while. Whether that be take up a new hobby (resin making), or buy something I knew I’d wanted for ages. I started buying clothes from Black Milk Clothing again and this time they were brand new, not second hand or brand new with tags on eBay. I also started to buy things that had sat in wish list for years as I wasn’t spending my money during lockdown on petrol, nor when I’d be out and about with friends shopping, eating out, etc.

2. What was a positive to come out of spending all that time at home?

Both me and Dane were able to start making a list of things we needed to do at home and things we have meaning to do since we bought our house almost five years ago. We had a week off at the start of December and got loads of those things done! Alongside that we also started a new hobby together, which is resin making. Dane focuses more on making polyhedral dice and I focus more in keyrings and items like that. It’s lovely having that hobby to do together, especially if we’re feeling creative.

I’ve also been working at home since March 2020 and whilst I do miss my colleagues and the office, I do enjoy drinking decent coffee, and generally my own home comforts. Plus I don’t have to worry about missing parcels. ๐Ÿ˜›

3. Did you start any new hobbies in 2020? Discover any new interests?

I mentioned before that I started resin making. I’d watched people play and make resin pieces on Instagram for years and had always wanted to give it a go myself. Around the start of lockdown me and Dane decided to give it a go ourselves. We bought some silicone, resin, mica powder and more things to make our own polyhedral dice molds and then dice. The molds didn’t go great but since then we have experimented more with resin and bought molds from people. I’ve grown an interest in having a go at making amigurumi (Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures) but I need to do my research first… I’d also love to FINALLY do Twitch streams! I’d look to Twitching some older games, as well as indie games. I’ve got some ideas in mind and plan to have a play around and test the waters to see what can be done. Watch this space!

4. What was your best watch and/or read of 2020?

I’m not going to lie, I read fuck all in 2020… I’m quite ashamed of it to be perfectly honest.

I did watch some amazing shows and films however, so I’m just going to pop a list below:

TV Shows:

Donโ€™t F**k With Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness

I May Destroy You

Pose

The Mandalorian

The Haunting of Bly Manor

I May Destroy You

Movies:

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

1917

Parasite

A Whisker Away

Soul

5. Name five things or people that helped get you through the gloomy times?

Animal Crossing: New Horizons –ย This game came out just as lockdown happened in the UK in March 2020 and whilst I was working from home, playing Animal Crossing everyday really did help to take my mind away from what was happening in the world. I don’t pick it up everyday like I used to anymore, but I still love playing it. It’s good to just zone out to when you have things on your mind, or if you’re feeling lonely and want company.

Retail therapy – I hate putting this, but honestly a bit of retail therapy every now and then has really helped. When I’ve been bored and not known what to do with myself, I have gone onto Etsy or my wish list for a bit of online window shopping. Sometimes if the mood has taken me I’ve bought something. I don’t think I’m the only person who has done this either to be honest with you. I did go on a spending ban around August 2020 as I’d been spending a lot and I needed to be good. I’m actually planning to go on a spending ban in February as I want to try and save some monies up. I’d like to start saving to do some more stuff to the house, as well as another trip to Japan in the (hopefully) near future.

My friends – My friends (online included!) have all been amazing. Whenever I feel rubbish they’re always on a DM to me cheering me up, or supporting me when I really need someone to vent or talk to. I cannot thank them enough. I’m not going to name people here, but you all know who you are. ๐Ÿ™‚

My parents – I’m not going to say much here, but they’ve been there to listen to me bitching on FaceTime and for company when I’ve been really lonely during the day. I may live with my boyfriend, but working from home, some days are quiet and I get incredibly lonely. So I’ll call my mom or dad for a bit for a natter and then return to work.

Dane – Finally I want to mention my boyfriend. He’s been my absolute rock throughout everything, and I don’t just mean through the gloomy times of 2020. He’s the main person I see and speak to day to day and I appreciate him for putting up with me so much. ๐Ÿ˜› He’s just an amazing human being and I don’t know how I can tell him that anymore than I already do.

6. Okay, phew! We can forget last year now!! Share something you want to achieve this year.

I’d like to get a 2022 trip booked for Japan. I want to go for two weeks again and explore more of Japan. I’d also love to go around cherry blossom season.

I would also love to start selling some of my resin pieces. I’ve made so many and I look at them and hope they can find forever homes in the future.

Twitch! I really want to do it. I love playing games and I love talking, so why not mix the two? Watching PayMoneyWubby has really inspired me to give it a go. Even if I’m not playing games, I’d love to do some general chatting videos and maybe even talk and share some geeky stuff? I don’t know, as I said earlier in the tag I really need to take a good look into it all.

I want to improve my home. We NEEEEEED to do the garden up, we also need to save for an extension. If it turns out I’ll be working from home more often in the future, I’d love to get my own desk set up in our office… But I don’t know yet.

Finally… I would love to extend our family and bring a miniature schnauzer into our lives. It’s a big thing to get a dog and it isn’t something I’m taking lightly. We looked at adopting last year and to be honest as soon as we started to apply I got anxious and not in a good way. I’m glad we didn’t get a dog as I don’t think it was the right time. I’m hoping this year will be right, but who knows. ๐Ÿ™‚ I do want a dog… But only when I feel ready…

7. Tell us three things you’re looking forward to.

I’m hoping things start to go back to normal by autumn this year.

I’m looking forward to seeing my family and friends again as I really do miss them. I especially miss being able to give my parents hugs and going on shopping dates with my friends I miss going for sushi and not knowing what I felt worse about, the expensive bill after eating at YO! Sushi or by how much food I’ve eaten. I don’t miss going out for food by all means but I miss being able to if I wanted, you know? I’m the same for if I wanted to spontaneously go shopping for stuff for the house, a day trip and more. So I’m excited to get able to do this again… Hopefully. ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m actually really excited to seeing My Chemical Romance in June! I remember the hell I had trying to book tickets whilst in Japan and then a week after I got back I was able to get both me and Dane a ticket. Dane isn’t a fan of the band, but he’s coming with me because he’s a good egg like that. ๐Ÿ˜› I’m getting my nails done black with glitter, very much how I used to in my emo days back in 2007 that morning and I’m going to try and dress up. Can you tell just how excited I am? ๐Ÿ˜€

I know it sounds sad but I’m actually looking forward to getting my garden fence done. It’s been something we’ve been meaning to do for a while now, but with Japan, our bathroom issues and more… Meh. It’s been pushed back. I think we’re going to wait for the weather to brighten up a little and then we’ll buy the goods, book some time off work and get it done! ๐Ÿ˜€ I want to try and do my garden up a little and make it a nice place to sit in in the summer.

8. Other than our current global situation, what’s one thing in your life that you’d like to change in 2021?

One thing I’d like to change? Erm… I don’t know really. I’ve felt so creative in 2020 and so far in 2021 but I’ve also felt low because I can’t put that creative energy into anything. I have my blog and that’s great, but sometimes it doesn’t feel… Enough. I think that’s why I love my resin so much, but resin is something that we can only do late at night and over the weekend. I’d love to take up a new hobby this year, aka amigurumi to try and do something creative there. In 2020 I started to use my Instagram stories more to talk and share things and I loved it and I think that’s where my creative juices flow. I love sharing stories, items and talking about anything. I’m a talker. If there was an Olympic sport for talking, I’d be looking to win a gold medal! Hence why I would genuinely love to try Twitch. I’d love to look back on 2021 in a years time and see me achieve something new as quite frankly the only thing I achieved in 2020 was going to Japan. I want to try and do something in 2021 that makes me proud. ๐Ÿ™‚

I tag:

Everyone who reads this post to give it a go! I would tag people, but my brain is empty for who to tag. ๐Ÿ˜›

I know this post is quite late up tonight, but I hope you guys enjoyed it! I really enjoyed writing it and filling in the answers to Sarah’s questions! ๐Ÿ˜€

Do you think you’ll give it a go? What do you think of 2020 and what are your hopes for 2021? Make sure to let me know in the comments below.

Until next time all, take care and keep safe. โค

May Wish List ’20

I can’t believe it’s May already, can you? As we all know here in the UK, we are still in lock down and we are until the end of this month… Did I hear a mass sigh? ๐Ÿ˜›

Personally, I’m taking everyday as it comes and making sure to keep myself busy, including working, playing games, blog work/ideas and talking to friends. My usual really… I’m also trying not to shop too much, although that’s kind of hard at the moment as that’s another thing I’m doing to keep myself amused and busy.

Window shopping is amazing, isn’t it? I have to say though, when it came down to doing this months wish list, I kind of struggled a little bit… I don’t know if it’s because I’ve bought most of the stuff I’ve wanted, or if it’s because I’m now actually missing going out for clothes and such.

Either way, I FINALLY got something together for today’s post, it’s nothing special but I hope you enjoy it either way!

The Body Shop Banana Bath Blend (link)

This is a product that came out recently from The Body Shop. I LOVED their banana range that has released a few times now, but only as limited edition. Now they have bath blends out permanently and in a banana scent! I definitely want to give these a go, however, the one thing that puts me off right now in the price. ยฃ8 to me is definitely on the expensive side and when you can grab a Lush bubble bar for less than this… It’s a bit much. I’m a bit surprised by it to be honest, as The Body Shop can tend to be better priced than Lush at the best of times. Either way, eventually I will pick this up! I really love having baths after work at the moment.

Pandora Disney 101 Dalmatians Patch Charm (link)

I really love that in the UK we now have loads of Disney items coming to Pandora. Originally it was just Disney parks who seemed to have them, as well as America. I only own two Disney charms, Dumbo and Lady and the Tramp, so I’m always happy to own more, including this cute little Patch charm. I do love 101 Dalmatians, so this would make a nice addition to my Pandora bracelet. It’ll be something I treat myself to in the future, I’m sure.

Fearless Illustration Raincloud Cardigan (link)

I’ve been lusting over this cardigan for the past month, so much so that I even created the design in Animal Crossing to wear (which Bones has been wearing and breaking my bloody heart!). I love cardigans like this and it definitely reminds me of my rainbow “boring” Lazy Oaf cardigan. However, it isn’t cheap and the size I’m after isn’t in stock where it’s at a decent price. I can definitely see me picking this up in future, even to wear to work during the winter months.

NaomiLordArt Seasonal Autumn Fox Sticker (link) and Zodiac Capricorn Fox Sticker (link)

I really love Naomi Lord’s work and have always wanted to buy some of her prints and stickers in the past for myself, but instead I always bought them for friends birthday and Christmas presents. I’ve actually now ordered these two stickers for myself as I wanted something from her store and these two designs are by far my favourite. I’m a Capricorn, love autumn and they’re both fox designs… What isn’t there to love?! I’m so excited to receive them to show you guys in the future. Also, if you like the look of Naomi Lord, make sure to go and check out my best blogger friend Sarah’s (Raiin Monkey) post all about some goods she ordered from Naomi Lord.

My Neighbour Totoro LED Night Lamps (link)

First of all, these are not official items by Studio Ghibli and I never like to recommend fake items, but I really do love these to be honest with you. I’m due to have some shelves put up next to my bed and I feel like these would be a lovely addition to those shelves, or even downstairs with our Studio Ghibli items. I showed them to Dane recently and he actually wants them on a shelf in the hallway, so when people come into the house they will be greeted with these, which is such a lovely idea to be honest with you. I would want both of these, as they’re both just as cute as the other. I wouldn’t be able to choose either one. I don’t think I’ll be buying these this month as I feel like I’ve already spent a lot of money through YY Kawaii and more, so I’d like to try and be good for a while until the next payday!

So that is my wish list for May! Apologies that it’s nothing special, the majority of items I have seen, lusted after and wanted to buy are items that are mostly through Redbubble and Etsy and are heavily Animal Crossing inspired or themed. I mean, would you guys like to see another Animal Crossing wish list? Please let me know!

I have so much exciting content coming up for May, but I feel like I don’t have enough time haha! What are you excited to see? ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below, as well as what posts you would like and are excited to see!

Until next time, take care and stay safe everyone!

Claire Likes To Doodle*

If there is one thing I love about being a blogger it’s being able to help out my friends and loved ones when it comes down to promoting something they’re doing, especially a business.

My friend Claire has been a chibi artist for as long as I can remember but she’s also been a great friend to met since the MySpace days which is over 10 years now. How crazy is that? Time does fly when you’re having fun, eh?

As the years have gone on Claire has taken her chibi work from a hobbie to a job and I couldn’t be more proud of her to be perfectly honest with you! She’s worked her arse off to ensure that she can look back and think, “Look what I did!” and fair play to her for it.

At the start of 2019 Claire was lovely enough to approach me to ask if I would be happy to receive a chibi portrait of myself from her in return for a review on her store Claire Likes To Doodle, as well as her amazing artwork.

After months of working with Claire the time has finally come to write the review and share with you guys what an amazing little artist my friend is and why I love her work so much! ๐Ÿ™‚

When it came down to Claire and about Claire Likes To Doodle, I decided to conduct a mini interview with Claire about what she does, why, as well as what she hopes for the future! I feel the answers to my questions explain everything better than I ever could.

No photo description available.

So Claire first things first, when did you start drawing?

Pretty much as soon as I could hold a pencil! I was a prolific little doodler even from the start, I was always drawing little comics and creating characters and worlds. I actually got into a lot of trouble in secondary school for drawing during lessons in my homework diaryโ€ฆ if only my year 9 Geography teacher could see me now.

What made you decide to open your own store?

I did a drawing of a particular wrestling tag team that was very popular on social media, and someone said โ€œHey if that was available as a print Iโ€™d buy it!โ€ So I opened a shop. Iโ€™m still tinkering with what to sell on that sort of scale – I tend to do more commissions and things on the fly than anything else.

No photo description available.

Whatโ€™s your favourite things to draw?

I like drawing things that make people go, โ€œWhat the fuck, really Claire??โ€ followed by a laugh. Recently Iโ€™ve found that I absolutely LOVE drawing my daughter – sheโ€™s just turned a year old and is getting so funny!

Was there a new style you said you would begin to start drawing in 2019?

Iโ€™m really well known for chibi work, but I really want to start working with more realistic illustrative styles. I also want to do some more darker pieces to pull myself out of my comfort zone and explore what else I can do. Itโ€™s healthy to venture out of what you know.

No photo description available.

What are your hopes for Claire Likes To Doodle in the future?

Honestly, I hope to create the kind of art that people take one look at and go, โ€œHey, thatโ€™s from Claire isnโ€™t it?โ€ Iโ€™d also love to really make what I do my full time job. I get to stay at home with my little girl, have the flexibility to take care of myself when Iโ€™m not well, and still do something that makes me feel fulfilled.

As I mentioned before, Claire kindly gifted me the chibi artwork she drew for me for reviewing purposes and this review are all words of my own.. Apart from the Q&A, obviously. ๐Ÿ˜›

Usually Claire would have a chat via emails to determine how you want your chibi character to look, send photos of yourself, etc but this wasn’t the case with myself. She just knew what to draw for me and due to that she did an amazing job! You know you’re working with a good artist when they can just analyse you and work with something great.

For my chibi Claire was such a star and included my Black Milk Clothing leggings and she went out there mixing together colours such as greens, blues and purples to get the iridescent look. She also made sure my chibi was wearing my varisity jacket (because I’m ALWAYS wearing one whether it be my Persona 5 one or one of my Eeveelutions ones from Ohayou! Clothing). She also included my digital SLR camera as well as a cute Eevee on my shoulder. The piece is adorable and I plan to keep it in the office near the gaming PC so I can look at it whilst I play games and such.

So you’re probably wondering by now how you can go about getting your own commission piece done by Claire? Well if you look above there is a price list for all sizes, as well as styles you can have for your commission.

The piece that Claire drew for me is A5 in size and is watercolour – hence making it worth ยฃ30 (continue reading for a special discount code).

From someone who has had at least a dozen commissions drawn over the past 6 years, this is an amazing price for so many reasons. Claire doesn’t rush her pieces and always makes sure to create each piece uniquely, with loads of customisation too. She also uses gorgeous watercolours and from what I’ve seen on her Instagram, her colour selection is constantly improving and getting funky! I saw holographic recently and this made me very happy. ๐Ÿ˜›

Claire is currently open for commissions and can be contacted through either her Facebook page or Instagram. I’ll link her store and all of her social media down below:

Instagram

Twitter

Twitch

Patreon

When it comes down to commissions you can also find Claire over on her Twitch channel Thursday and Sunday from 6pmish GMT where she streams herself as she draws art and occasionally plays games too! Whilst writing this post I’m currently watching her do some commissions for two beautiful blogger ladies I know and let’s just say, they are amazing! ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m so happy to say that I could help Claire work with some bloggers for Claire Likes To Doodle with the two beauts I mentioned being Estelle from Estellosaurus and Sarah from Raiin Monkey. Honestly make sure to keep your eyes peeled on their blogs and social media for the commissions Claire has done for them, they’re breathtaking!

If you’re a local to Birmingham like myself and Claire then you may be interested to know that on August 3rd 2019 a convention called Not Another Comic-Con will be around for people to attend. BUT that isn’t all! Claire will also be there and she’ll be doing chibi commissions there and then for people, so if you like both the look and sound of her work then make sure to check out Not Another Comic-Con, which I’ve linked.

No photo description available.

Image may contain: one or more people

Alongside everything Claire already does, she’s also recentlyย stepped up her nerdy art game and has started altering Magic: the Gathering cards – a process which involves painting on the cards and replacing the original art with something of her own.

These look amazing and she actually came third place in a competition recently from altering MTG cards, which I’ve added above. Not going to lie, I loved Claire’s design the most… ๐Ÿ˜‰

Overall I really love my new commission by Claire Likes To Doodle and although in the past Claire has drawn various pieces for me, this is my favourite. I didn’t need to ask her what to draw, how I wanted the piece to be, colour scheme, etc. She just did it all from just knowing me as a person, what I like, how I dress, etc and it’s just so personal. Far more personal than any of the commissions I own.

I really do love this piece being in my office by mine and Dane’s gaming PC. I’ve ended up leaving the clear wrap on the piece so that it never gets damaged whilst it sits next to the PC. ๐Ÿ™‚

So I mentioned earlier how you can snag yourself a discount through myself to use towards a commission from Claire! The code is “COFFEE10” and is exclusively for my readers. The code will last indefinitely! Don’t worry if you ever want to use the code but can’t find it through the blog quickly, as of now the code will be on the side of my blog indefinitely too – so you can always find it there.

I’m just so happy to have finally worked with Claire Likes To Doodle to not only show you guys her amazing work, but also to talk about how proud I am of my friend. :’)

Do you think you’ll get a commission piece done by Claire? If so what would you choose, how would you have your piece drawn? Make sure to let me know in the comments, I would love to hear what you guys think!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a fabulous weekend.

March Wish List ’19

At the time of writing this post I’m in a pretty bad mood… I ordered a game through Amazon Prime Now so that me and Dane could spend our evening playing it whilst we had dinner. It turned up… But with no game in the box. I made a complaint and to add insult to injury I couldn’t order another copy on Dane’s account. I’ve ordered it on mine now but Amazon need to book their ideas up! I know you guys love catch up/ranting posts from myself so I’ll be talking about Amazon Prime and all the shit I’ve had to endure the past 6 months!

Anyhoo, it’s a couple of days late but I’m here with my monthly wish list for March! The items on it seem so random, but when am I NEVER random, eh? ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Disturbia x Charles Peterson Kurt Long Sleeve T-Shirt (link)

I noticed this t-shirt for sale on my Facebook page through an advertisement and I KNEW I had to have it! Well, at least save it to my wish list for a rainy day. I’m a massive Nirvana fan so I’m a sucker for anything like this. I wear my Bershka sweater dress to death so I already know I’d wear this all the time with jeans or a skirt. It’s not cheap at over ยฃ30 but all the same, I may just treat myself to it soon. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Weishiart Ninetales Pin (link)

I discovered this pin through the gorgeous Sarah over at Raiin Monkey and saved it to my wish list straight away! I love pin badges so much but in 2019 I am trying to not buy as many as I used to, purely for the fact I feel like I don’t have enough space on clothing or even time to wear them. This being said I would like to make an ita bag where I would be able to show off all my pin badges on the go! This pin badge is adorable though and I already know I’ll be ordering it in the future as it’s just too cute not to pick up!

  • Nendoroid Green (link)

I actually have this pre-ordered already through YY Kawaii as she’s one of the few who are stocking it at the moment. She also has him at a bargain price too, so it would have been silly not to take up such an awesome offer. Apart from Ash and Pikachu I don’t actually own any Pokemon Nendoroid’s yet so I’m rather excited to start a new money draining thing. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Rogue & Wolf Midnight Mug (link)

Like the Kurt long sleeved t-shirt I discovered this mug through an advert on Facebook. I don’t remember if I’d ever visited the Rogue & Wolf website in the past or not but I’m so glad that I was shown this mug as it is GORGEOUS! I’d really love to buy it for myself for coffees at work, but it costs a lot… ยฃ20 to be exact which is stupidly overpriced in all fairness. I’ll keep my eyes peeled on it in the future however!

  • Killstar Dutchess Mourning Dress (link)

As regular readers of my blog will know I’m a massive Killstar fan and whilst I wanted to try and pick up more pieces from the brand throughout 2019, so far I haven’t just yet. I doubt I’ll pick anything up in March but I’ve seen this gorgeous dress that I would to own for when it’s spring and summer in the UK! I can only imagine I’ll pick this up in April as I’d love to wear this for Dane’s 30th birthday.

  • Yoshi’s Crafted World on Nintendo Switch (link)

This is something I’ve already pre-ordered and pretty damn excited for! If there’s one character game I love playing it’s always Yoshi. I’m not a massive Mario game fan when it comes to platform games I’ve just always preferred Yoshi and even Kirby. I gave the demo for Yoshi’s Crafted World a go and fell in love! It felt so relaxed to play but with some puzzles in there too! I don’t think I could ask for a better game to keep me engaged at the moment. So yeah I’ve pre-ordered it from Smyths which in turn has saved me ยฃ5.00 off of the game! Give the demo a go if you fancy picking up something new on the Switch. I’m so excited for this to come out at the end of the month.

So those are some of the items I am lusting after this month! Dane’s 30th is looming however, so I could do with starting to think about what I want to pick up for his birthday. ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you have any interesting items on your wish lists this month? I’d love to hear about them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely day.

The Pokemon Tag

As regular readers will know, I LOVE Pokemon! I have done since I discovered the show aged 6 and then the game aged 9. I’ve just been hooked since then and really do love playing both the games still to this day, as well as collecting Pokemon items from the Pokemon Centre in Japan.

I wasn’t at all surprised when I read that Sarah over at Raiin Monkey had taken part in this tag, as I know she loves Pokemon just as much as I do! ๐Ÿ˜€ She mentioned at the end of the post how she’s happy for anyone to take part in this tag, so whilst I’m poorly in bed I’m giving it a go myself! ๐Ÿ˜€

I really hope you enjoy my answers to this tag post, I know I’m excited to give it a go.

1. Favourite Pokemon?ย Definitely Mew, Dragonite and all the Eeveelutions! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love Cubone and Ampharos too.

2. Least favourite Pokemon?ย I can’t say as I have a least favourite Pokemon in all fairness… If anything maybe some of the latest generation Pokemon as they’re just lame and weird made up stuff to get the numbers up.

3. Favourite starter Pokemon?ย Cyndaquil! I love that Pokemon so much.

4. Favourite Eeveelution?ย Ooo this is a tough one to be honest you!

5. Favourite legendary Pokemon?ย Definitely Mew as well as all the dog legendary Pokemon from the second generation, Raikou, Entei and Suicune.

6. Most terrifying Pokemon?ย Mmm this is a tough one as I don’t find any really terrify me as such… If anything MissingNo used to creep me out growing up! I remember catching one in Pokemon Red and it glitched my game, nearly to the point of me losing everything! That’s the most terrified a Pokemon has ever gotten me. ๐Ÿ˜›

7. Most adorable Pokemon?ย Aww this is a tough one as there’s so many! ๐Ÿ˜› The baby Pokemon evolutions are definitely adorable and I loved them all in generation 2! Of course Mew and the Eeveelutions are up there with the cute Pokemon. One of my favourites has to be Cubone though. ๐Ÿ™‚

8. Most amusing Pokemon?ย Misty’s Psyduck. ๐Ÿ˜›

9. Favourite Pokemon type?ย Dragon and fairy.

10. Least favourite Pokemon type?ย I’d definitely say bug. It’s so shite it’s a joke. ๐Ÿ˜›

11. Favourite new Pokemon from X and Y?ย Fennekin and Sylveon! ๐Ÿ˜€

12. Favourite Pokemon attack or move?ย Dragon rage is a pretty good one, alongside some of the moves Eevee can learn from it’s Eeveelutions in the new Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee.

13. Favourite trainer type?ย Trainer type?! Erm… I don’t know really… I guess the ones that carry cute Pokemon is always good and of course the easy trainers. ๐Ÿ˜›

14. Your gym leader speciality?ย I don’t fully get this question… If you mean if I was a gym leader I think my speciality would be fire Pokemon as I seem to sway towards them quite a lot. ๐Ÿ˜› In my team I’d have Fennekin, Cyndaquil, Vulpix, Flareon, Arcanine and Rapidash.

15. Favourite region?ย Kanto and Johto. I love them both too much to pick just the one.

16. Favourite location?ย Definitely a toss up between Lavender Town from Kanto and Mt Moon from Johto when you get to watch Clefairy and Clefable dance on a Monday.

17. Most relatable Pokemon?ย I legit went to Buzzfeed and did a quiz because I honestly couldn’t come up with an answer for this! I got Mewtwo and it said, “You’re a rare one, that’s for sure. At times you may let your anger get the best of you, but we all know that you’re a sensitive and thoughtful spirit at heart. This world needs you, but just doesn’t know it yet.” Good enough. ๐Ÿ˜›

18. Favourite gym leader?ย Definitely Blue Oak/Gary Oak. I can’t really pick a favourite gym leader as I can’t say that I have one, but I love Gary’s character. He definitely needed to become a gym leader in the future.

19. Favourite elite 4 member/champion?ย I rather like Lance from gen 1 as he comes back for Silver and Gold to help you out for a “mission”.

20. Favourite Professor?ย Professor Oak for sure, the original professor! ๐Ÿ˜€

21. Favourite Pokemon bad guy?ย Team Rocket is always a good choice, but I really liked N too from the Black and White games.

22. Favourite rival?ย I’d say Gary Oak but I actually rather liked the rival from Silver, Gold and Crystal. He’s called Silver and from memory he’s actually Giovanni’s son!

23. A friend-relatable Pokemon?ย Oh God knows! Erm… Probably Snorlax. I love sleeping and if someone wakes me I get very angry. ๐Ÿ˜›

24. Most useful Pokemon?ย Every single Eeveelution to be honest with you. ๐Ÿ˜› If you needed heat – Flareon. If you needed water – Vaporeon. If you needed electricity – Jolteon. You get the point. ๐Ÿ˜›

25. Favourite animal Pokemon?ย Definitely fox/dog.

26. Favourite coloured Pokemon?ย Purple and white and pink.

27. Favourite game?ย I’d have to say Pokemon Silver. As much as I loved the original three, Silver has a soft spot in my heart. It’s the Pokemon game I’ve played the most and almost came close to finishing. The reason I didn’t was due to my game becoming corrupted. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I cried for days after it happened.

28. What did you nickname your rival?ย It was usually my cousin as we used to compete against one another when we played Pokemon. She always did better than I did though. ๐Ÿ˜›

29. Favourite Pokemon tune or song?ย There’s loads from Pokemon Silver, Gold and Crystal that I love such as “Violet City” and “Azalea Town”.

30. Most nostalgic element?ย I think when the Gold and Silver remakes came out and it meant I could replay the games again and gain myself some memories back to when I was a teenager. I spent hours on end, to all hours playing the original Silver game. I think I need to now go away and play Pokemon Silver as I’m just getting too many memories. ๐Ÿ˜›

Aww I really loved taking part in this Pokemon tag and if it wasn’t for Sarah giving it a go, I don’t know how long it would have taken me to find out about it! Make sure to go and read Sarah’s post to see what her answers were.

I tag everyone who reads this post and loves Pokemon to give the tag a go yourself! ๐Ÿ˜€

Do you love Pokemon just as much as I do? Let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re ready for the weekend, I know I am! ๐Ÿ˜›

What I Got For Christmas!

Christmas is nearly over and bloody hell it went by fast! I can’t believe we’ve had the three magical days fly by us and leave a coating of snow behind.

I hope all of my readers and blogger friends had an amazing Christmas and (although it isn’t important) I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas! I know I did and more!

So, (as pretty much most bloggers do now!) I thought I would write about what lovely gifts I got from Dane, my family and friends this Christmas.

I want to disclose here that this is by any means me showing off what I got this year and I never feel like when I read fellow bloggers posts, or watch YouTube videos about it that people are meaning to show off. I love reading and seeing what my fellow bloggers received (as I’m a nosey bitch! :P) as it’s nice to see goodies they’ve wished for throughout the year as well as special meaning behind them! If you feel this is me showing off, click off of this post now because, ain’t nobody got time for that!

NOW! On with the post!

When writing this post I haven’t actually received all my gifts and one of my best friends still hasn’t been able to give me hers, but I’ll be seeing her around my birthday so I can definitely mention it then!

The first gift I want to talk about is the gorgeous little Sylveon print that Sarah over at Raiin Monkey sent me in the post! I wasn’t expecting it and it’s so sweet of her! I’m going to pop it up in the office somewhere so I can look at it whilst doing blog work. ๐Ÿ™‚

My friend Jacqui was able give me hers from both her and her boyfriend Chris and it was such a thoughtful and beautiful gift! It may not look like much to many, but we’ve had quite a few cocktail evenings together and my cocktail shaker isn’t the best. It gets stuck and then you struggle to get the lid off. So they bought us this Smirnoff kit, with a gorgeous red and silver shaker in (it matches our kitchen!) as well as a glass and measure cup in! I couldn’t be any happier with it to be honest.

My friend Sophi sent me a little box of goodies and I love them all so much! She sent us some little Japanese sweeties (which sadly we ate before I took my pictures! :P), a Pusheen tote bag and some Pusheen socks, as well as a pair of fox socks. I can’t complain at getting socks and I’ll be wearing them to work to keep my feet toasty over the rest of the winter months! OH and she also put in a cute little Pusheen keychain too, which I’ll pop on my tote bag!

Speaking of Pusheen! Dane’s brother and his girlfriend bought me a gorgeous boxed Pusheen mug with socks! I love it so much and am currently drinking some lemon green tea from it. The socks that came with it are so adorable and have paw prints on the feet. As well as that they also gave me a cute Minnie Mouse face mask as well as a Winky Lux flower balm in green. When you apply it to your lips it works with the PH and turns into a gorgeous light pink! I can’t wait to use this and I’ve wanted one of these since they first came out!

My aunt and cousin both bought me and Dane this gorgeous dachshund pillow which I’m going to have for the chair in the office! As well as that they also picked me up a gold fox keyring which was popped into my Christmas card.

Dane’s gran bought me a little something for Christmas and that’s a Bailey’s gift set with a little glass and some Lindt Lindor chocolates, which I LOVE! This will be enjoyed New Years Eve or on my birthday for definite! ๐Ÿ˜€

My sister in law andย  my nephews bought me a cute little lip butter set, and it’s so strange! They’re lovely and you get three flavours, coconut, cherry and peppermint.. I’ve never used a lip butter like this before but I’ll definitely be keeping these for work and around the house!

Dane’s parents bought me some lovely gifts and one that really did make me chuckle! The first gift I noticed they’d bought me and one they get me every year is a Lush Christmas gift set! This year they bought me The Snowman gift set. This one contains The Snowman bubbleroon, Butterbear bath bomb, Man In The Moon bubble bar and Snow Angel bath melt. I’m super excited to try Man In The Moon!

They picked me up three hot chocolates on sticks! I LOVE these and they actually bought these from one of our friends coffee stalls in Coventry! These are so amazing and work really well! They bought me a normal one, a mocca one and a peppermint one! I can’t wait to try the peppermint flavour and I’ll definitely make it in my new Pusheen mug. ๐Ÿ˜›

One of my favourite presents from Dane’s parents has to be the Your Name Blu-ray that they bought me! This isn’t just the ordinary Blu-ray either, but actually a collector’s edition so it comes with both Blu-ray, DVD and also a CD of the films soundtrack! It’s such a beautiful film and was one of my favourites I’d been to see in the cinema last year. I definitely recommend watching it if you get the chance, or if you have Amazon Prime as it’s on there to watch in both subbed and dubbed right now!

Finally the present that made me chuckle is this little pom pom… That is actually a panic alarm! You pull the keychain and it makes a very loud noise! I doubt I’ll pop this onto my handbag but I’ll definitely keep it inside of my bag for emergencies! You never know to be fair. I get why she picked this up for me though to be honest! In my old job I would get to the car park at 5.30am, I would be the only one, it was dark and at one point we had issues with people hiding in the dark on the level of the car park I was on. It did frighten me! So this gift whilst being strange, as very thoughtful all the same.

Now onto the gifts that Dane bought me, I’m going to save the present my mom bought me until last. Usually I would save Dane’s until then, but wait until you see what she bought for me!

Since moving into our house we have a tradition now of making stockings up for each other, which consist of cute little bits and pieces, as well as Japanese sweets! This was no acceptation this year and we both gifted each other Japanese gifts!

He picked me up an assortment of Japanese treats, which includes some Puccho sweets in ramune flavour (Japanese soda), some sour candy sweets which are also ramune flavoured, some Pokemon grape gummy sweeties and some green matcha flavoured Kit Kats which are MY FAVOURITE! Finally he bought me aย Gudetamaย DIY kit where you get to make a pudding version of Gudetama to eat! I cannot wait to do this and I think I’ll be saving it for my birthday. ^_^

Also in my stocking I had a few other bits and pieces such as a new refill for my Filofax and what a cutie he is, he bought me on in pink! I need to use my Filofax more this year!

Also in my stocking and presents overall was a couple of little Pokemon goodies, all of them are so cute! The first thing I opened was this Eevee pouch type bag, which is an official Pokemon Center item! I don’t know quite yet what I’ll use this for, but I can see it being for feminine products once a month and maybe some random handbag bits and pieces. This was a gift he’d asked me if I liked the look of when we were both having a nose online for gifts for one another. I wasn’t all that fussed at the time but all the same when I opened it Christmas Day I still loved it! It’s a little Eevee which you’re meant to rest over a glass, but I can see me sticking it to the PC monitor or even by the side of my bed. Another Pokemon gift he bought me was this blind box (although he knew which one he’d ordered) which contain desk buddies. Dane bought me this Pikachu one which holds your mobile phone for you. He bought me this to have for work but I want to have it for by my bed! It’s so cute and such a thoughtful gift all the same.

One of my favourite gifts from Dane just has to be this onigiri squishy keyring from Tofu Cute! I get anxious during long car journeys, as well as in other certain situations! This not only feels relaxing to squish over and over, but it’s also scented with (what I think anyway) strawberries! On the way to and from Coventry for Christmas Day I was squishing away at this, as well as whilst at Dane’s parents on the day! It’s going to end up living in my handbag for when I feel anxious or angry and need to relieve some tension.

One of the presents I had asked for for Christmas after discovering its existence are these Haku chopsticks. Haku is the dragon from Spirited Away and is my favourite Studio Ghibli character! I didn’t know if these chopsticks would be real or fake, but when I inspected the packet they are in fact real and Studio Ghibli approved!

The first main gift that I opened was this, The Manga Cookbook, which also came with a pack of chopsticks! I love cooking Japanese food, especially if I’m craving Japanese and I can’t and don’t want to go out and eat or buy any. This is a cute little gift and I can’t wait for me and Dane to cook recipes together from it.

The next gifts are these two little Pokemon Center plushies, which are like Beanie Babies! I’ve been collecting these for a few years now, thanks to Dane but they’re now so hard to get hold of! I found someone in the UK selling these 2 for a decent price and I didn’t know if Dane wou;d pick them up or not… Alas he did and they’re so adorable! We have a Flareon and a Raichu here and they’ll go so well with my other Eeveelutions, as well as with my Pikachu!

If you got back and take a look at the Christmas wish list I made on Christmas Eve (which you can read here) you’ll see that I wished for a lot of anime shows/films on Blu-ray and apart from one, all of the ones I asked for I got! Two of those being A Silent Voice and Your Lie In April part 2. Alongside Your Name, A Silent Voice was one of my favourite films from 2017 and I’m so stocked to have it on Blu-ray! The box itself is gorgeous and I cannot wait to binge watch it with Dane one of the evenings this week. This is the collector’s edition Blu-ray too, which also includes a DVD and a special booklet that tells you all about the film, as well as about the manga.

The second Blu-ray Dane bought for me is part 2 of Your Lie In April, which is the final part of the special collector’s edition! He bought me part 1 and the special box at the start of the year for my birthday, so now I’m so happy to finally have the box set completed! This is definitely the first thing I’ll be watching with Dane out of all of the Blu-rays I received as I want to binge watch all of this with him! I haven’t continued to watch anymore of it until I had all of the box set for us to binge watch!

Aside from my main presents this was probably one of my favourites to be honest! It’s The Art Of Persona 5 and I have been lusting after this book since they announced it way back in the summer! I’m so pleased Dane bought it for me to be honest as on Christmas Day after I opened it I had a good flick through the whole thing and I cannot wait to sit down with a cup of coffee and read the whole thing, cover to cover. This year I discovered Persona 5, as well as the Persona franchise! I haven’t fallen in love with a franchise this hard since Pokemon and I am so chuffed that back when it came out at the start of the year that I bought it.

Finally we have the main gifts from Dane and my favourites! These are the 2 Nendoroid’s that Dane bought for me this Christmas and I was so surprised to be honest with you! I mentioned on my Christmas wish list that I had a feeling Dane would have bought me Yuri but when I opened Viktor and THEN Yuri I was so happy! I couldn’t have asked for better Nendoroid’s to have received this Christmas and I feel like such a lucky girl. We have no room right now to put these up anywhere so sadly they’ll be staying in the boxes until we have room. But I love my 2 YURI!!! boys so much and I cannot wait to play with them and display them in the future! So many YURI!!! On Ice Nendoroid’s have been announced lately that we will definitely be getting in the future!

Dane really spoilt me this year and I am so grateful for everything I received! I know I have another present arriving that he ordered me, it’s nothing special but it’s the thought that counts! FYI it’s a Macaroon Treats Yankee Candle!

Now onto my final present and definitely the one that blew me away the most. I was so surprised when I opened it to discover my mom had bought me a Dyson hairdryer! I know these aren’t cheap to be honest and I’ve lusted after one since they were announced, so the fact that my mom bought me one makes me feel so loved and special. I still can’t believe she bought it for me and after trying it, I really do adore it. I wish she could read how thankful and grateful I am.

So those were all the goodies I got for Christmas and I am so, SO thankful to everyone who bought myself, as well as Dane gifts this year!

What did you get for Christmas? Big or small I would love to hear what you got from loved ones. You know where to tell me. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re all resting after loads of Christmas and Boxing Day dinners!

Geeky Guys Christmas Gift Guide – Collaboration Post!

Hey everyone! Iโ€™m Sarah and I blog over at Raiin Monkey (and I suck at introductions, haha!). In celebration of the festive period and all things geeky, Natalee & I have planned a series of Christmas gift guides for our fellow geeks, one each for guys and for girls! I am so happy to be doing a collaboration with Nat because her blog is one of my absolute favourites! Today, Iโ€™m sharing some ideas on what you can get your geeky guy loved ones for Christmas, focusing on stocking fillers for those of you who might be on a budget. Head over to my blog to check out Natโ€™s awesome gift guide for geeky girls! I hope you all enjoy reading and that I give you lots of ideas & inspiration ๐Ÿ˜Š

Iโ€™ve decided to share my wishlist in two separate parts, the first showing presents that are ยฃ10 or under each, and the second for those between ยฃ10-ยฃ20. Iโ€™ve also sourced everything from UK websites so that if you order after reading, your items will arrive in time for Christmas (plus it keeps down those pesky postage & packaging costs that we all hate!)

1UP 600ml Gaming Flask (link) This super cute 1UP water bottle fashioned after the Super Mario Brothers game franchise is on sale at only ยฃ1.99 when it was originally ยฃ6.99 and I thought that this was an absolute bargain not to be missed! Itโ€™s a really handy item to have, especially when youโ€™re on a gaming streak and havenโ€™t moved for hours, haha. Gotta stay hydrated!

Marvellous Mopeez Deadpool Plush (link) Who doesnโ€™t love a cuddly plush!? Even if itโ€™s just to display, these awesome collectible plush toys by Funko make a great stocking filler. Funko products are always made to a great quality, and Iโ€™ve had my eyes on a few Mopeez plushies myself for a while now. Thereโ€™s lots of other characters available too if your geeky guy isnโ€™t a big fan of Deadpool. Check out the Forbidden Planet website too because they have loads (see here).

Official Nintendo SNES Controller Poster (link) I just thought that this poster looked awesome and would also look really nice in a frame too! Itโ€™s only ยฃ3.99 so even on a budget, you should be able to find a cheap framed poster in a pound storeโ€ฆ just remove whatever poster is inside and add this one instead. Voila! You have yourself a nice framed poster for your gamer loved ones! It looks great without a frame too to just display as wall art.

Official Nintendo Super Mario Badge Pack (link) I personally think these badge sets are brilliant! This Super Mario one from Blue Banana has 25% off at the moment, so you get five badges for just ยฃ2.99. They are so bright and colourful, and would look great on a jacket or a backpack. They come on an awesome-looking presentation card, which is nice and are small enough to pack into a stocking. Badge sets are another gift that cater for so many different interests because thereโ€™s so much variety available! Blue Banana are selling 20+ different badge sets at the moment, all for the same fabulous price.

Star Wars Episode VII Stormtrooper Pen & Case Set (link) Is your geeky loved one a sci-fi fan? If so, then this pen set would make a wonderful stocking filler for them! As the item description says, โ€˜May the force be with you (and your stationery collection)!โ€™ haha. Everyone needs pens, and these stormtrooper ones come with a fancy case to store them, which makes them easy to carry about too.

Funko Pop! Vinyl Keyring: DBZ Goku (link) How cool is this little Goku from Dragon Ball Z!? I really love these Pocket Pop! keyrings; I have a Daryl Dixon one myself and I was really impressed with all the detail that went into such a small figure. Everyone loves a Pop vinyl figure, but not everyone has room spare to fill with boxes, so these tiny guys are the next best alternative!

Funko Mystery Mini Star Wars Blind Box (link) Hereโ€™s another gift for the lovers of science fiction! Everyone likes a surprise and unwrapping Christmas gifts are all the surprise you need, but imagine finding yet another surprise underneath all that shiny festive paper! That, in my opinion, would make anyone delighted, so why not look into getting a Mystery Mini blind box for your loved ones this year! Inside these Star Wars edition boxes, you can reveal one of 15 figures, and they are bobble heads too!!

Below is the second part to my geeky guys Christmas gift guide, intended for those of you who are still trying to budget but donโ€™t necessarily want to get the smaller types of stocking fillers ๐Ÿ˜Š

Mini Desktop Arcade Machine (link) This product seriously sounds so so fabulous! Itโ€™s a mini gaming machine that is portable, has a colour screen and is packed with 240 retro arcade games!! You could keep it on your desk at home or at work, and I am definitely very tempted to get one for myself! IWOOT are also offering free delivery for any items over ยฃ10 too, so you can save money to pick up some batteries for this perfect gift for your gamer friends & family.

Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure: Aquaman (link) Did your geeky loved one enjoy the recent Justice League movie? Is he a fan of DC comics in general? How about getting him a Pop Vinyl figure? I might be a little biased because I am a Pop! collector but I think they are super awesome and have such cool designs. I mean, just look at all the colour detailing on Aquamanโ€™s armour! There are a variety of other Pop figures available at UK store, A1 Toys if you want to look for a character from another fandom ๐Ÿ˜Š

I recently discovered a fantastic deal over on the My Geek Box UK website, 3 gifts for ยฃ20! The next three items that Iโ€™ve featured on my geeky gift guide are examples of the kinds of gifts that this special offer includes. Firstly, we have a multi-port USB hub (find here) that is designed to resemble a Super Nintendo controller, which I really like! Itโ€™s a very useful gift for anyone whoโ€™s a gamer or a tech geek. Another item includes this awesome novelty Batman egg cup and logo toast cutter. Itโ€™s a comical and handy present that most geeky guys will enjoy, unless they donโ€™t like eggs! The last item Iโ€™ve picked out is a Star Wars Lightsaber Colour Changing mug! I LOVE these heat-reactive mugs, they are wonderful!

Official HBO Game of Thrones Diagonal Sigil T-Shirt (link) Weโ€™ve come to the last present idea on my geeky guys gift guide! Clothes are always a good present to get, especially if you know what your loved ones are into but arenโ€™t sure exactly what kind of gifts they would enjoy. This t-shirt caught my eye because of how vibrant and eye-catching the sigil designs on the front are. I think they are brilliant and I love how HBO have even incorporated the different Stark, Targaryen and Lannister house words/mottos into the design too. Very cool and Iโ€™m sure any Game of Thrones fan will love this gift!

I hope that youโ€™ve all enjoyed reading my gift guide and that it gave you some inspiration on what to buy for the geeky guys in your life this Christmas. This Saturday, me & Nat will have more geeky gift guides up so be sure to keep your eyes out for those ๐Ÿ™‚ Donโ€™t forget to head over to my blog to read Natโ€™s gift guide for geeky girls. Have a fabulous Christmas Time everybody! Weโ€™d love to hear all about what you think of the items weโ€™ve included and also if youโ€™ve bought any; please let us know your thoughts in the comments ๐Ÿ˜Š

I just want to say a massive thank you to Sarah for agreeing to collab with me for Christmas! I was so excited to ask her, so the fact that she agreed to it made me so damn happy! We have another awesome Christmas gift guide coming up on our blogs on Saturday, so keep your eyes peeled for those!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having an awesome week so far.

11 Facts About Me

  1. I recently bought my first home with my boyfriend Dane.
  2. I love anything Japanese, especially the food!
  3. 20 years on ad I still love Pokemon as much as I did back when the games were first released.
  4. Foxes are my favourite animal.
  5. Dogs are my second favourite.
  6. Otters are my third favourite. This was a recent discovery for me!
  7. The only make up I wear is lipstick. I don’t feel the need to wear anything else.
  8. I’m part French and Irish.
  9. I’ve been driving for 6 years this year… Gosh that makes me feel old!
  10. I’m allergic to bananas.
  11. I’m at “master”level for creative writing.

Here are my answers to the questions I was asked:

1. What’s your favourite insect?

Insects make me CRINGE! I had to think long and hard about this answer, and whilst butterflies are pretty to look at, my favourite has to be bumblebees. They’re just so fat, and fluffy, and cute! Not to mention they’re yellow and black. Two awesome colours. ๐Ÿ˜›

2. Which do you prefer- white, milk or dark chocolate?

Definitely dark chocolate! I find that white is way too sweet for me! Milk is okay, but if I buy myself chocolate, it’s always dark.

3. What is your favourite topic to blog about or type/style of post to write?

I love to just let out my geeky side and write about anything related to Pokemon, anime, manga, and Deadpool. I also love to review lip products too, considering that is pretty much the only make up I wear. I like to think my blog is unique, due to the fact I don’t wear a full face of make up, and I’m a huge nerd. ๐Ÿ˜›

4. List one thing you’re looking forward to this summer.

I’m really looking forward to being able to spend the summer in my new garden, and the house of course. I want to have friends over so I can make them yummy cocktails, and listen to some awesome tunes! I honestly cannot wait. OH and let’s not forget a BBQ. ๐Ÿ˜‰

5. What’s the best toy you’ve ever got insider a kinder egg?

This was YEARS ago and I only remember what toy it was because (check out saddo over here!) I still own it. It was a giraffe that you had to put together. It was like made out of a thin plastic with some harder plastic parts on it to stand it up etc. I’ll keep it because it’s one of those kind of things that look nice on a desk. It is awesome. ^_^

6. Tell us about something embarrassing or super adorable that you did when you were a child?

God all of my childhood was an embarrassment! ๐Ÿ˜› I can’t ever think of anything I did adorable as a kid to be honest. I’m one of these people where I don’t really think much of anything I do. You know? My aunt told me when I was a toddler I would be watching TV whilst eating a packet of Skips (mmm Skips…) and I would go up to the TV and put a Skip up against the persons/characters mouth on it as if to share, but then eat the Skip anyway. That isย  pretty damn cute to be fair… ๐Ÿ˜›

7. What’s your favourite lipstick shade?

I have way too many to have a favourite to be honest. I think I’m more I’m fond of ones with memories behind them… If that makes sense? Like ones you wear for special occasions, etc. I think when I have a really hard think about it though, Rebel by MAC Cosmetics is my favourite. My gran would always comment on it, and I’m pretty sure I wore it for her funeral. I wore it on mine and Dane’s first date, as well as our anniversaries together so far. If you want to check out my review for it, it’s here.

8. Last movie/TV show that made you cry?

Hands down Forrest Gump! The day I got back from London me and Dane watched it, and I can’t even count how many times I cried. Well I guess I could list off all the times I did… I cried when he first meets Jenny, I cried when Bubba dies, I cried to the clip above (and yes I cried when I had to find it to put on here… FUCK SAKE!!!), I cried when Lutenient Dang gets called a cripple, I cried when Forrest’s mom died, I cried when Jenny comes back, I cried when Jenny leaves, I cried when Forrest meets up with Jenny again, I cried when they get married, and OF COURSE I cried when Jenny dies and he’s talking to her grave. So that’s the grand total of 10 times! Holy shit! I don’t think I’ve cried so much during a film. ๐Ÿ˜›

9. Name something on your wishlist right now & tell us why you want it.

I currently (and it was released today too!) really want to get LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens for my PS4. I love the Lego games, and I also love the movie so hey, why not pick up the game as well? I don’t know when I’ll get it… But I can see me being naughty and picking it up really soon. ๐Ÿ˜› I guess it’ll be nice to play in the evenings with Dane, especially when we move into the house.

10. What’s your dream job?

My blog is my dream job to be perfectly honest. I love writing on here, it really does make me happy! The people I have met so far from doing it as well just makes me feel so connected and like I’m part of a little family. Something I’ve found I’ve never had anywhere before. I’d also love to be a creative writing teacher at universities. Oh I’ll just have to dream for now. ๐Ÿ˜›

11. Recommend a blog that you enjoy reading.

Finally my nominations to do the Infinity Dreams Awards tag:
So that was the Infinity Dream Award tag! I actually loved taking part in this, and it was something nice to do to have a break away from doing the house up. I can’t wait to see what my nominees answers will be to my questions!
To who I have nominated, please make sure to comment on this post to let me know when you’ve done your tag so I can read your answers.
Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a good week so far.
