August Favourites 2015

Oh hello September, when did you get here? I’ve been so busy this August bank holiday that this months favourites may read a little rushed… But I wanted to make sure I got it done and out there for you lovely readers to well… Read!

I have been loving a hell of a lot this month and I just couldn’t wait to share my favourites with you all.

  • DKNY MYNY EDP.

I’ve owned this perfume for quite a while now and it’s one I often forget that I even own… Which is a surprise considering the size of it! My mom bought this for me and when she buys perfumes, she buys big! For a few weeks in August I wore this constantly, something I haven’t done with a fragrance for quite some time. It’s just such a crisp and fresh scent, perfect for the spring and summer months. I don’t find this is too strong either for an EDP which I’ve also really been liking lately. I’ve worn this for work, before I pop out of the house, and for evenings out with friends. Although it’s a huge bottle, it’s one I find I can just throw in my bag and go out with. Plus, the bottle is super cute with its heart shape.

  • Neal & Wolf Ritual Shampoo.

I FINALLY have this shampoo and let me tell you, I don’t regret it at all. Since using this shampoo my hair has felt and looking soft, smooth, and healthy. Not that it never before mind, but I just feel like it’s more silky smooth to the touch than it was before. My hair also smells so amazing after using this and it’s something I really do look forward to using when I’m due to wash my hair. My hair has felt in a lot better condition since using this stuff, and it especially feels easier to brush and blow dry, which is good considering how long and thick my hair is. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this in the future!

  • Lush Love And Light Hand Cream.

I only recently purchased the full size of this product, but I’ve had the sample since the start of August and boy has it lasted me, HEY it still is! This is a gorgeous hand cream which feels light when applied and not heavy, or sticky like some hand creams. My hands have been pretty dry lately due to the weather constantly changing and my hands being washed out from work, as well as at home. However this hand cream when used throughout the day has made sure to keep my hands lovely and soft, as well as smelling beautiful. This isn’t cheap at nearly £8 a tub, but it’s going to last me ages! I’ll be reviewing it very soon, so look out for that.

  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry.

This was a product I picked up on a whim to cheer myself up after a crap day. I picked this up, as well as one of the Revlon Matte Lipsticks in Shameless. Out of the two however, I’ve found I’ve been using this one the most. Black Cherry is one of those lipsticks you either love, or hate. Or even get on with, or you don’t. It’s a very gothic looking shade and it’s one that I adore! I love my dark raspberry and red shades and now we’re approaching autumn and winter again, this will probably be worn to death! It’s a gorgeous vampy red shade that has a little gloss to it. I wear it over a dark lip liner to ensure it lasts all day. I’ll be rocking this all autumn and winter me thinks!

  • Babyliss True Glow Sonic Cleansing Face Brush.

This counts as a beauty product and I swear to God, my skin hasn’t look so good since before I hit puberty. I hated this brush when I first got it but since then I have fallen head over heels for it, and use it everyday. You can also use this for the body, but I really don’t get along with it that way. This has an awesome timer mode built in so it beeps to tell you when to focus on another part of your face. It runs for a 60 seconds, therefore giving you 10 seconds to work on six parts of the face. Left and right hand side of the forehead and cheeks, the nose, as well as the chin. It’s really great for in the mornings when I want a great scrub before I go out for the day and it really has left my skin with a clear and smooth complexion. I’m hoping to review it in the future, as there are so many face brushes out there now, there’s just too much choice!

So those are my favourites from August! What have you been loving from last month? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time all, take care. I’m so excited for what September holds.

January Favourites 2015

2015 and we’re already into February! I wasn’t expecting my holiday in January to go by so quickly either.

The majority of my favourites in January were products I used frequently whilst on holiday, or discovered whilst I was there.

I’ve decided to do something a little different this year, instead of talking about ten favourites each month, I’ll be talking about five instead. I just feel like it means I REALLY liked the items I talked about and therefore would have needed to think about hem more carefully.

So, here are my favourites!

Image taken from thebodyshop.co.uk

  • Diesel Loverdose EDP.

I had run out of this years ago and was gutted as it’s by far one of my favourite perfumes to wear. It’s a strong scent that lasts ages, and has a unique smell. So when my Dad offered to buy it me whilst on holiday as one of my birthday presents. He got me a massive 75ml bottle, so that’ll last me way longer than my 30ml bottle did. I wore this most of my holiday because of what a lovely summer scent it has, I only wore it in the evenings though but it sure did smell good and last ages. I’m so pleased to have this back in time for spring and summer.

  • The Body Shop Hand Cream in Coconut.

I just want to mention how I cannot find my hand cream anywhere in the house and this is why I’ve had to insert a picture here. I LOVE The Body Shop’s hand creams and alongside the Hemp hand cream this is one of my favourites. It has a gel like texture and isn’t as heavy as the Hemp one. Whilst I was on holiday my hands were the best they’ve been in a long time. I was using this hand cream throughout the holiday and it felt lovely on my skin. It’s one you can use in the warmer weather due to it not being heavy. It also had the lovely coconut smell, which is such a typical holiday scent! I’ve also tried the Strawberry hand cream but I didn’t like it as much as I like this one! I’ll definitely be repurchasing in the future.

  • Carmex Lip Balm in Strawberry.

I used this throughout my holiday and it kept my lips lovely and soft, as well as protected due to it containing SPF 15! I’d never liked this lip balm all that much before, but I really did enjoy using it whilst I was away. The precision on this is great and meant it was easy and quick to apply when on the go. I used this underneath my lip products too and it did a mighty good job of creating a moisturisng layer. I used up nearly all of the tube as well, I was really surprised! I’ll definitely be trying the Cherry flavour next!

  • OPI Nail Lacquer in Coca-Cola Red.

As I mentioned in my Holiday Haul my Mom picked me up a set of the Coca-Cola OPI polishes, and inside of course there was the classic Cocoa-Cola Red. I wore this on my toes for the entire two weeks of my holiday and it lasted so well! I didn’t wear a base coat (naughty!) and I didn’t wear a top coat (double naughty!) and it still lasted the whole time. It’s said to be the exact same shade as the Coca-Cola cans, which I think is pretty cool! This is a cream finish is gorgeous! I don’t think I’ll ever wear this on my nails as I don’t suit red really, but on my toes it made me feel lovely.

  • Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Honey Douche

This was a balm stain I was given by my Mom as she didn’t like the shade that much and I didn’t think I would either, but it’s turned out that I love it! It’s a light pink shade and is a really nice nude shade at that. I’m not a fan of nude shades but this worked lovely as I built up my tan whilst I was on holiday and it also lasted ages on my lips. I never did try the Revlon lip crayons until I received this one, and it’s probably one of the best ones I’ve ever tried. I can see me picking up more in the future as they’re so great to quickly apply when on the move.

So those were my favourites for January! What did you use last month and enjoy? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time all, take care and I hope you had a good weekend.

Holiday Haul

Whilst I was on holiday I think I brought home more items than I took away with me! It was my birthday the day before I went away and my Mom’s the day we flew and it meant I was spoilt with birthday presents and bought myself quite a few items too.

I just want to say I’m not showing off in any way what I was bought/bought myself, I just thought as I love haul posts, that some may enjoy this one. Especially as it’s all things from another country.

I also want to mention that some pictures are from Spain and some are from here, so do ignore the different settings in both images. Oh and that this post will be very image heavy, enjoy!

First of all I want to talk about what we picked up on the plane journey there. I knew I wanted one of these items but when my Mom passed me the others after purchasing them, I was rather touched as I had secretly looked at them but thought deep down how I didn’t need them.

These are the two lip products that we picked up. The one I said that I really wanted is this Victoria’s Secret Very Voluptuous Lip Plumper in Baby Pink. This is a gorgeous lip gloss with a built-in lip plumper, as you can tell by the name. I wore this loads on my holiday and after trying it on on the plane my Mom picked one up for herself. This was only £12.50 and I regret not buying another one on the way home. I’m sure Victoria’s Secret in town will stock these (hopefully in more colours!) so I’ll be keeping my eyes on these in the future. I will be reviewing this soon!

Another lip product that my Mom picked up for herself was a set of three Revlon Balm Stains, one which she gave to me. She gave me Honey Douche and although it isn’t really my colour, I bloody love it! I took a variety of lip shades on holiday with me but for the majority of it I wore this as it just worked with my new tan, and it just looks beautiful. It’s a nude pink shade and perfect for my skin tone. I can see me wearing this loads, especially for work. I really want to review this too.

Two of the products I looked at but didn’t ask for, where these two so my Mom must have read my mind when she handed them to me after buying them. They are a three-piece L’Occitane hand cream set, as well as six mini nail polishes from OPI’s Coca Cola collection.

I have to say that I haven’t really used much of the hand creams yet, but I did give the Verveine one a go and it does feel really light on the skin, as well as fresh and moisturised. This one will be perfect for summer! I’ve tried the other two hand creams in the set and will be saving these for a rainy day.

These nail polishes are amazing! I wore most of them throughout my holiday, apart from two shades (Sorry I’m Fizzy Today and Today I Accomplished Zero). My most favourite shade out of the set was Coca-Cola Red, which I wore on my toes throughout my holiday and was so beautiful to wear. I really love this set and is probably one of the best ones I’ve owned! I can’t wait to review this in the future, and hope to very, VERY soon.

I don’t know how long Spain have had Essence, but I know it only came to the UK late last year. So when I eyed up this nail polish whilst out food shopping I just HAD to have it! It reminds me of oil slick shades and because of that, it’s beautiful! These images don’t so it justice, but I know I’ll be reviewing it soon to bring you a hell of a lot more pictures and information about it. This was super cheap too at just €2! The shade I picked up is called You Wow’d Me Again. I wore this a lot on holiday and really loved it, it worked perfectly with the weather.

This is a rather random purchase but where we went on holiday they have quite a lot of Chinese markets with various different items in. It reminds me of a huge version of eBay but in the flesh. My boyfriend knows how much I want a Lucky Cat, so he picked this cutie up for me. You pop in a battery and his arm waves. I left this in my home abroad as I didn’t really want to bring him back home with me and I love it so much! There was something very relaxing about watching his arm waving back and forth, is definitely something I want for my own home when I move out.

I’m such a big softie when it comes to cute things, especially plushies and ones that resemble animals I love. Foxes being one, so when my boyfriend spotted this cute fox plush he picked it up for me straight away. He even bought me a matching keyring version too which I at first kept on my bag, but is now in my room hanging up.

The second plush I bought for myself and is a cute white seal. I saw this in the gift shop of the zoo we visited whilst on holiday and I honestly couldn’t resist him. I’m still really pleased I bought him and I’m currently using him as an arm rest. He made a comfortable pillow on the plane journey home, as well as something nice to snuggle into when I’ve felt a bit crappy. He’s just so soft and lush, and I just came up with his name, Bobby. 😛

As regular readers will know I LOVE foxes and as soon as I spotted this hoodie in Animal I KNEW I had to have it. My Mom was lovely enough to pick this up for me after I pointed it out to her and I haven’t stopped wearing it since. It’s quite a thick hoodie and I went a size up to ensure it would be nice and baggy, as I don’t like tight fitted hoodies myself. I haven’t seen this in the UK, although I literally just checked the UK website and they do infact have it on the website for a little less than what my Mom paid. So onto the design of this hoodie. It isn’t just a cute fox on it, within the fox is a picture which is beautiful. Inside of is as you can see from the above images there is a picture of a bird, some trees, and a lake. Basically a forest. It’s just so beautiful and I know I’ll wear this throughout the year.

Whilst on holiday I discovered a brand that I have indeed fallen in love with and wish we had here in the UK. This brand being Women’s Secret. I bought so much stuff in there and as there was one only a ten minute drive away from my home, I was there every other day having a nose at what they had. And what makes it even better? They always had a sale going on! Altogether I picked up a wash bag, a pair of knickers, a pack of six pairs of Pusheen knickers, and two sets of pajamas.

The first thing I want to talk about is this cute little Pusheen wash bag that I picked it. I can’t remember how much this was but it wasn’t much. Women’s Secret stocks so much Pusheen and as I love the cute little kitty, I couldn’t help but snatch this up. It’s very roomy and I’ll be using this to use whenever I go on holiday in the future, as well as possibly having it for when I travel to and from my boyfriend’s house.

This was probably my favourite purchase from Women’s Secret, once again Pusheen. In Women’s Secret they sell knickers in packs of six and they usually consist of cute characters such as Pusheen, Hello Kitty, Miffy, Minnie Mouse, and Pink Panther. Alas I really liked the Pusheen ones and didn’t care much about these being Christmas themed either. These were a bargain and I really have been in need of some new knickers.

Speaking of knickers, I picked these cute little ghost ones up for a cheap price too. I wore these quite a bit on holiday and they were rather comfortable so I ended up bringing them back home to the UK. The print on these are rather cute with these little ghosts and I can only imagine that these came out during Halloween. I was after a matching bra for these, which they did sell but all the sizes were WAY too small for me.

If there is something I noticed about Women’s Secret is that their sizing is a little off in comparison to UK sizes, they come up a size smaller which I won’t lie, made me feel overweight. 😦 Anyway, continuing on…

I love Hello Kitty, I always have and I’m pretty sure I always will. The pajamas I took on holiday aren’t exactly the warmest and after the first night there I was frozen solid. Where I have my second home it’s usually boiling hot, however in January it hasn’t been THAT hot, but more like a mild UK summer, which was still good nonetheless. Anyway! So I needed pajamas and so I got these. The print on these is so simple yet gorgeous and I was somewhat sad to leave these behind, but it’ll be more exciting to wear them when I go back.

More Pusheen, and more pajamas. These have come home with me and I can’t wait to wear them next week! Like the Hello Kitty pajamas they’re both extremely comfortable! The t-shirts are both long-sleeved and baggy, whilst the trousers are more like leggings and aren’t super tight, but aren’t exactly baggy either. The print on this set of pajamas is a hell of a lot more pretty than the Hello Kitty pair. On the sleeves and leggings there are cute little faces of Pusheen, which really do look cute. I bought way too much Pusheen from Women’s Secret, but I don’t care, was so worth it!

Every Tuesday and Saturday there is the market nearby where our home is and after a short walk, you’re there. So we decided after such a long time it would be nice to go and have a look around. I won’t lie, it was crap. I think from memory there was only one stall that didn’t sell duplicate items to one, or even two other stalls nearby. I didn’t really have anything in mind that I wanted to buy from the market, more like if I saw something I REALLY wanted to pick up, I might. That’s where these two harem style trousers came from. My Dad bought me two pairs and I can safely say they were worn a lot throughout my holiday, and I’ve even brought a pair back home with me. These are really baggy and comfortable and whilst the material isn’t very thick, it’s somewhat warm. These will be perfect for summer days in the UK seeing as they aren’t the warmest.

I was in need of a pair of flip-flops back home and I knew I wanted a decent pair, so when I spied these Roxy flip-flops, I knew I wanted them. They were in the sale too, so I couldn’t not snap these up. I won’t lie, these weren’t comfortable the first couple of times I wore them and my feet were pretty damn sore afterwards. However after wearing them in they’re super comfortable and I’ll probably wear these loads during the summer in the UK. I’ve not found a nice pair in the UK before, so these will come in handy.

Perfume wise I really was spoilt by my parents and I can’t say I’ll be needing any new perfume anytime soon (although I’ll probably end up buying some!). My Dad bought me a 75ml bottle of Loverdose by Diesel, which I have loved and owned since it first came out so I was excited to get a new bottle. My Mom picked up two perfumes for me, Ralph by Ralph Lauren which is a perfume I’ve wanted since I was a teenager. This is only a small 30ml bottle and is one I’ll keep in my handbag for work. It smells really nice and is rather strong for an EDT.

My favourite of the three is Addict by Dior. I’d never smelt this before until my Mom took me to the shop to pick up something for herself. I can’t describe how it smells, other than it being like a sweet but mature scent. It’s a really strong perfume and lasts for ages! The only flaw with this bottle is the weight, it weighs a bloody ton. This is definitely fast becoming one of my new favourite perfumes. It only cost around €63.00 for a 100ml bottle, but in the UK it costs nearly £100! I can’t believe how cheap it was to be perfectly honest and I really do love it.

These were some last-minute presents from my Mom and I can safely say they’re meaningful and lovely. My Mom’s known for ages that I’ve always wanted a Chanel lipstick and whilst we were away she bought me one. I looked at so many shades and I finally settled on this one. This one is the shade Emotion and is the Rouge Coco Shine finish, which is a mixture of a lipstick and lip balm. My Mom bought this the day before me and my boyfriend went home so I haven’t had much chance to wear it, but whenever I have it is has been amazing and I already want another! I can’t wait to review this soon, I’m so excited to show it off.

As well as that she picked me up a new lip liner to go with my Chanel lippy. The one the woman recommended in the store was Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil in Wine. This lip pencil is meant to stay in place for 12 hours, although so far I haven’t found that this does as it says on the tin, but I’m going to test it out at work and uni next week and see how I get on. It’s a gorgeous wine shade, as the shade gives away and works well with most of my dark shades, including my newest.

This isn’t anything special but this is a necklace I picked up whilst I was on holiday and one I have fallen in love with. It’s so simple, yet so nice. It’s two rings linked together to create this cool little necklace. I think it’s meant to be a religious necklace, but I don’t care. They also had these in a black ring instead of blue, but I preferred this one. It wasn’t the cheapest of necklaces but I didn’t care, as I had some euros to use up anyway. I’ve worn this none stop since I got home and I think I’ll be wearing it for a while.

This was one of the last things I picked up before I came home and I’m so glad I found it to buy, as it’s one of my favourite things to wear now. It’s a cardigan by Protest, a surfing and snowboarding company who I hadn’t heard of until we went on holiday. My boyfriend had however and when I told him about a surf shop called Protest where we were going shopping he got super excited and we went there as soon as we could. This is a waterfall cardigan and isn’t the thickest one in the world, but is gorgeous and will be perfect for spring and summer when it starts to get warmer outside. I’m sure I’ll be doing a look book with this in the future! I checked on the UK website and this costs more over here than it did where I bought it from, so I’m pleased about my bargain! It’s a gorgeous white and navy knitted cardigan and isn’t itchy at all! As well as that it has nomadic patterns on  it, which looks beautiful.

When I discovered that there was a Zara a mere fifteen minute drive away from where our home is, me and my Mom knew we wanted to go and have a look. I can just tell you, everything in that Zara was cheap! I think there was only a small part of the store that wasn’t marked on sale, which surprised me. I didn’t really spot anything that took my fancy, however I saw this bag and although I knew I didn’t NEED it, I WANTED it. It was originally €35.99 down to €29.99. I’ve wanted a really nice handbag for a while, as currently I use my backpack for everything so now I have something nice to use whenever I go anywhere special… Ish. Although I would like a Vivienne Westwood bag. 😛

Just want to first of all say, I know that this t-shirt is creased, I don’t know how it got into this state. :S As you may have seen from my Holiday Wish List post, you’ll have seen this t-shirt on there and whilst I went shopping on holiday I found it and picked it up. It’s this lovely fox t-shirt by Element, one of my favourite skateboarding brands to wear. I own quite a few of their t-shirts and they’re all super comfortable, this one is definitely comfortable too. This actually cost more to buy whilst I was on holiday than what it would have cost here, as after looking it’s now in the sale for £9.00, although they don’t have my size. It’s not a very thick t-shirt and was lovely to wear both in the day and in the evening. Whilst it’s chilly in the UK I’ll be wearing a thermal t-shirt underneath it.

I know this isn’t the best picture of my new jeans, but I was pressed for time when getting these pictures and I didn’t have anyone at home at the time to take a picture of me wearing them. These are the jeans I picked up whilst I was away and I can safely say they’re the best jeans I own at the moment. They’re by G-Star and I ended up buying them to wear in the evenings when it was a little on the chilly side. I knew I should have taken some with me! Anyway, I can’t say I remember how much these were, but they’re so damn comfortable! They’re a mixture between a boyfriend fit and skinny fit, which is a perfect jean style for me. They do come down a little baggy on me so I sometimes find I need to roll the bottoms up so that they don’t drag. I can see me wearing these loads now I’m home and especially for university as they’re just so comfortable. I wore these with my new Star Wars Vans that I mentioned in my Boxing Day Sales haul and they looked amazing together.

From the same shop as my jeans I picked up this beautiful maxi dress, it was the reason I ventured into the shop in the first place to be honest. I’ve only owned a couple of maxi dresses and over the years I’ve put a bit of weight on and those two dresses don’t look that great on me anymore… Which sucks. Since then I have gone on to try on other maxi dresses and they all look the same, show off all the horrible parts and don’t even show off my best assets! So since then I have envied smaller girls than myself for being able to wear them, as quite frankly I love the look of maxi dresses. So I did worry when I went to try this maxi dress on that it would do what other maxi dresses had done and in the process make me feel fat and crap. HOWEVER it didn’t do that at all and made all my best assets look a hundred times better! This is a gorgeous navy maxi dress and is really long. On the back there is a see through netting style which looks really nice. This only cost €25.00 which is dead cheap for how lovely it is. I’ll be doing a look book with this very soon.

This was one of the first things I picked up when I went on holiday and whilst I didn’t need it, I’m so chuffed my Mom picked it up for me. I hadn’t even noticed it in the one shop we popped into, until she showed it to me. This is a pretty cool t-shirt, as when you wear it the Vans logo on the front turns pink with body heat. This isn’t a very thick t-shirt but as I said with the Element t-shirt, I can wear a thermal underneath whilst it’s cold in the UK. I wore this quite a lot whilst I was on holiday as it’s so soft and comfortable. I can’t wait to wear this more here.

Whilst I was away I knew I wanted to start a collection of bracelets as whilst I love my Pandora, I wanted something I could wear around the house as well as at work and just all the time basically. The watch was something I saw in a Billabong shop and my Mom offered to buy it for me, considering I didn’t have one. The bracelets all cost next to nothing and are all really nice quality for how much I paid for them. The white peace bracelet was picked out by my boyfriend due to the message on it, which he says sums me up (although of course I don’t agree!) and sadly during my time there and since I’ve come home, it’s began to rub off, which has made me sad. The turtle bracelet is from the same shop and I love it! I was going to buy another one, but I left it in the end. It’s really pretty and I wear it all the time now. I don’t know if its real leather or not mind.

I want to talk about my new watch, because it’s bloody gorgeous! It’s by Roxy and is called Whenever. I spotted it whilst just having a nose at the watches and kind of fell in love. I told my Mom about it and asked me to show her, as she said I would be a fool to leave it as it sounded really nice. The band is real leather and is splash proof, which is handy and was handy whilst I was on holiday. This isn’t a very big watch which I really like, nothing worse than a huge watch hanging off your wrist. These are available in the UK by the way and are currently in their sale.

The last thing I wanted to talk about was my new Pandora charms. My Dad owed me a birthday present and said before we went away that he would buy me a new Pandora charm, so whilst I was having a look for a charm to buy my Mom, I spotted this seahorse charm that I’ve wanted for nearly a year. So he offered to pick it up for me and I can safely say I LOVE it! It really does add some colour to my bracelet, which now seems to be having a turquoise and red theme going on with it. I also wanted the water bead charm, but I ended up buying this myself as a treat and it really does stand out on my bracelet but I like how it works with the seahorse charm and it will always remind me of my holiday away and where my second home is.

I loved my holiday away and I’m so glad that my boyfriend was with me. It was our first proper holiday together and it was amazing being able to show him my second home and where I spend many years of my childhood and early teens.

I’ll be posting more about my holiday very soon in the future, so please keep eyes peeled for that!

I hope everyone has been okay the past two weeks I was away and posts will be back on here starting from today.

Thanks to all my readers who stuck with me whilst I was away for still being here.

Until next time, take care all.

May Wish List

I can’t believe it’s May already, this year is really flying by and I can’t believe in a year I’ve had so much change in my life (will be making a post about this me thinks!).

My wish list for this month isn’t very long I’m afraid as there isn’t much I REALLY want or need… I say need, I never reallllly need anything I add to my wish lists. 😛

So let’s get on with the wish list for this month!

May Wish List

  • Dr Martens 1460 Boots in Black – £100.00.

For a long time I had wanted a pair of Dr Martens boots and in 2009/2010I bought my first pair! They were the same style as these ones but they were  patent bright red leather, very much different from these black ones! For a month I never wore them due to the fact they were a size too small. The girl who sold me them stated that I should go down a size due to the fact that they would give way with wear and if I was to buy my actual size they would be far too big. She was a bit of an idiot because these killed my feet to wear which she stated was “normal”. I took these back after a month and bought some black ankle boots instead, which I still love to this day. A couple of years later I bought my Dr Martens Triumph Boots (post about them here) which I’m in love with! As much as I love them mind they’re a tad long and bulky for the warmer months but at the same time I really want to start wearing Docs again and I’m also craving another pair of Docs anyway. Although I also love the red cherry pair, the black pair will go with everything so those are the ones I’m really craving to get right now. A part of me wants to try and pick up a second-hand pair so that they won’t be as much money and they’d also be broken in and look more grunge and awesome… But I shall see!

  • Oh Lola EDP by Marc Jacobs. 30ml – £37.00, 50ml – 47.00 & 100ml – 63.00. (FYI you can pick this perfume up cheaper on certain websites online)

As you can see from the picture above I have a couple of perfumes on here that I’m really wanting and this is one of them. For quite a long time now I’ve been craving to get a  Marc Jacobs perfume as they just smell so damn good and last ages on the skin and the one I’ve been finding I like the scent of most is Oh Lola. It’s a gorgeous fruity and floral scent with notes of effervescent raspberry, peony heart and vanilla. I’m not sure what ml I would like, but a 50ml bottle would be lovely as that would be a good size for my handbag, as well as the fact it would keep me going for quite a while! With Marc Jacobs fragrances they not only smell lovely but the bottles themselves looked lovely as well! Oh Lola is a pink bottle and the lid of the bottle is a plastic flower that is three different shades of pink, as well as green to symbolise the flowers leaf. Marc Jacobs perfumes are just wonderful and I would like to own quite a few in my perfume collection!

  • DC Vista Snowboarding Jacket – Was £195.00, Now £65.00. (FYI you can pick this perfume up cheaper on certain websites online)

As old readers will know I’m hoping to start snowboarding lessons this year after my boyfriend got me into the sport around the time when we first started going out. If not there’s about it here. I’m needing to get myself some gear together first before I start my lessons and the jacket is one of the main pieces I wish to try and get my hands on next. This jacket is gorgeous and it’s also a very good snowboarding jacket! It’s 10K which means that the jacket will keep me nice and warm, as well as dry. It’s a lovely blue colour that will go well with my snowboarding pants and whilst I don’t have a colour scheme in mind right now, I can see it going down a blue and yellow theme, seeing as my pants are a banana yellow! £65.00 for a DC snowboarding jacket is a very good price and one I don’t see me letting go!

  • BONBON EDP by Viktor & Rolf. 30ml – £50.00, 50ml – £68.00 & 90ml – £94.00.

In January this year I heard about this perfume coming out and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for it! I’m still to smell it and I already know that I will love it already and quite frankly I can’t wait to get my mucky paws on it! I love Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf so I’m pretty sure I would love  BONBON too, especially due to the fact it’s a sweet scent, which is something I love, especially during the spring and summer. The notes for this perfume sound so sweet that I doubt I’ll have a sweet tooth whilst wearing it! The main note is caramel, which is said to be the first thing people notice when they smell this perfume, as well as some citrus and musky notes such as sandalwood and amber. Not only does it sound delicious but the bottle is incredibly adorable too! It’s a dark pink bottle in the shape of a bow, which just makes it look so quirky and cute and reminds me of something you would buy when you’re a teenager. This perfume is definitely something to bring out the young teenager in all women and I’m super excited to finally give this a smell later on today!

  • Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in Chocolate Truffle and Espresso – £6.49 each.

When I first heard about these I wasn’t too fussed about them due to the fact that there are or have been so many scented nail polishes around before that it didn’t seem like anything new or special for that matter, however the last weekend of April consisted of me popping into Boots with my boyfriend so that he could pick up a late Mother’s Day present and whilst he was paying for his goods I went to have a mooch at the make up, including the Parfumerie collection. On the stand they had some little paper stickers that were scented to the nail polish the were in front of. Not all of them had these but the ones that did smelt gorgeous! Sadly Chocolate Truffle and Espresso weren’t there but that doesn’t bother me, I’m sure I’ll get to smell them eventually. I have looked at swatches and reviews of both of these shades and the colours themselves have been praised, but the scent, not so much on some occasions. Chocolate Truffle is a gorgeous dark chocolate-brown shade, which looks gorgeous and would make a nice change to a dark blue or even a black! Espresso is a black glossy shade and whilst I have black shades, you can’t go wrong with a black shade that smells of coffee, even though that’s all I smell all day at work! Either way at £6.49 each I can see me picking one of these up, more likely Chocolate Truffle.

  • Love Hearts and Crosses Silver Origami Fox Necklace and Ring – £12.99 each.

The final item on my wish list is one I discovered literally two days before this post was due to be up on my blog and a jolly good find at that! I only own 2 necklaces and I don’t really wear either. One was a 21st birthday present from someone and is a Storm necklace and another is one my Mom bought me, which has been featured on my blog before. It’s a red locket with a silver chain and the reason I don’t wear it much is when I get anxious I faff and fiddle with it which tends to annoy myself, as well as other people. The only piece of jewellery I wear really is my Pandora bracelet, which I love dearly! When I stumbled across this necklace on Love Hearts and Crosses I fell in love with it instantly! They have all sorts of animals to choose from including a rabbit, elephant, fox (which is the one I’ll be talking about), hummingbird and there’s one called bunny rabbit too I don’t know if this is meant to be for rabbit but I’ll mention it anyway. They also come in 3 colours, gold, rose gold and silver which is the one I’d opt for and finally you can get each animal on a bracelet, as earrings, a necklace or a ring. Upon having a closer look at the Fox Ring too, I have decided I really like the look of that too, it’s light and delicate looking and something I would proudly wear on middle finger. BUT onto the design of the Fox itself. As the name suggests and the pictures show it’s shaped like an origami fox and it just looks really quirky and different from what you would normally find. The only flaw with the necklace and ring is that they aren’t real silver and excuse me sounding snobby, but I only really want real silver. I’ve bought fake silver in the past and it’s often turned my skin green as well as turning green itself and that’s not something I really like, or want for that matter. But for £12.99 I can’t complain and for the necklace I can always pick up a real silver chain if I do so wish. This might be something I pick up before my weekend holiday in June… Keep eyes peeled for details about that!

So that was my wish list for May! I know it’s nothing exciting or special but I really can’t think of all that much I want at the moment. My number 1 item on this wish list is probably the Dr Martens, or one of the perfumes… I’d have them all if I had the money! 😛

What are you lusting after this month? Let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and have a great weekend. 🙂

The Lipstick Tag

Image taken from weheartit.com

When I saw that Eating Lipstick had taken part in the lipstick tag, I knew I had to do it! Whilst I don’t love make up entirely, I do love my lipstick and it’s something I get most excited for when MAC announces new collections! I wasn’t tagged to take part in this tag, but she did say that she would tag anyone who feels like taking part and it doesn’t hurt to join in now, does it?

So without further ado, let’s get on with the tag.

1. How many lipsticks do you own?

Including lip gloss, tints and liners I own in total about 30-35, but I don’t use quite a lot of some things anymore.

2. What was the first lipstick you owned?

I remember on a holiday when I was little my Mom bought me my first lipstick and I still own it to this day. It’s by (name) and is a gorgeous hot pink shade and although it’s probably not safe to use anymore (it’s nearly 20 years old…) I’ll keep it until the day I die. My Mom bought me this after I was mooching at the counter they were on, wiping all the lipstick shades on the back of my hand to look at the pretty colours and as I was a girly girl at that age, I of course adored the hot pink shade the most, so she bought it for me. It’s just something I will keep close to me forever as she didn’t have to buy me the lipstick, but she did and I remember my little six-year-old self applying it (badly!) and loving how pretty I looked, just like my Mom. 🙂

3. What is your favorite lipstick brand?

Definitely MAC, most of my lipsticks are by MAC and they’re a real treat when I buy one, although I doubt I will be buying any MAC lipsticks for a while now.

4.What is your most worn lipstick?

Probably MAC’s Rebel (review here) as it’s my favourite one out of them all! It was my first MAC lipstick and I know I’ll keep buying it as it’s a staple shade for me, as I love my dark shades for autumn and winter but these shades can also be worn during the spring and summer in the evenings, or hell even in the daytime if you’re as brave as I can be. 😛

5. What is your favorite finish?

I like a nice creamy lipstick so that my lips feel nice and nourished as well as the lipsticks shade having a strong pigmentation, a bit of a gloss can be nice too. I’m not a huge fan of matte lipsticks, but this being said most of my MAC lipsticks are satin finishes, which is near enough to a matte… I dunno. 😛

6.What was the last lipstick you bought?

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée Lipstick in Barely Peach By Julianne Moore. I said to myself for ages I wouldn’t buy it, but I caved in! You can read the review for it here. 🙂

7.How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?

I keep three lip balms in there and whatever lipstick I decide to wear on that day will also be kept in my bag too. The reason for keeping three lip balms in there is because I have Palmer’s Cocoa Butter for when my lips are really in need of some moisture, Chapstick in Apple as I just love the taste and smell of it and Carmex in Strawberry as I’m trying to use it up, it’s a good one to use over lipsticks mind.

8.What is your favorite red lip color?

Probably my Revlon Candy Apple lipstick or my newest addition of MUA’s Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Reckless (review here). It’s a gorgeous red and I just adore it so much! But I haven’t been wearing it much at the moment as I’m suffering with really dry lips.

9.How do you store your lipsticks?

DSC_0010

DSC_0011

DSC_0012

I keep them in my little stack of drawers. I also keep some in a make up bag in my drawer but those tend to be ones I’m not using much at the moment, but use once every couple of months or so.

10. Which lipstick are you currently lusting after?

It’s not a lipstick as such, but still a lip product! I really want NYX Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie. It’s a gorgeous red shade and all I have heard about the butter glosses is how amazing they are!

So that was the lipstick tag! I rather enjoyed doing it, even though it took over a few mornings before work to get it completed. 😛

I tag EVERYONE to take part in this tag, but especially my friend Amy over at Von Dork who loves lipstick just as much as I do.

Leave me a comment down below with your blog name if you take part in this tag!

Until next time, take care all.

Lip Wish List

Okay now I know the title of this post sounds odd but, bear with me. 😛

As regular readers or even friends of mine who read my blog will know, I don’t really wear make-up… Only lip products. Why? Because I like being this way.

When I was younger I always wore eye make-up and tinted lip balms but as I grew older I just didn’t like wearing make-up anymore and swapped pretty eye shadows and liners for gorgeous lipsticks instead. I’ve only ever worn concealer, foundation and blush once and it made me look fake and like a doll, I hated it and washed it off as soon as I could!

These days as well, even if I do see a pretty eyeshadow or liner that I would love to own, it would be a waste of money me buying it as eye make-up really hurts my eyes these days and as I wear glasses it’s pointless anyway. My eyelashes are naturally long (lucky me, eh?) so I don’t really need to wear mascara, but even if I wanted to I couldn’t. My eyelashes are so long they brush against the lenses of my glasses at times, so imagine how they would be with mascara on too?

So when I have a girly treat it’s usually on a lipstick or gloss or maybe even a new bottle of perfume and as I love wearing my lip products so much, I’m always finding new ones that I want to add to my collection… AND beauty bloggers don’t help that either! 😛

I’ve compiled a list of which ones I really want, both a mixture of expensive and affordable, so I hope you like this post, I thought it would be something different and you may even discover a lip product you never even knew existed! So enjoy!

Lip Products I Want Image

L-R: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Monte Carlo, Bourjois Paris Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Plum Russian, Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Plushest Punch, Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Candy Shimmer, Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Lemonade & NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches & Cream.
BL: Korres Lip Butter in Wild Rose.
BR: OCC Lip Tar Stained Gloss in New Wave.

As you can see, I have a lot of products to talk about, so let’s get to it. There’s a mixture of lip creams, crayons, balms, butters, glosses, butters and even a stained gloss. It covers a bit of everything, well everything bar your standard lipstick, but I have plenty of those to keep me satisfied. I’ll be talking about these in the order they’re mentioned below the image, just to save confusion. 🙂

I came to hear about this lip cream when searching for a duplicate colour for Lime Crime’s Red Velvet Velvetine. I looked at some beauty bloggers reviews for Monte Carlo and I was hooked on the shade. It’s a beautiful dark deep red shade that some beauty bloggers have commented saying that it’s more of a berry red, which is right up my street! I’ve never been a fan of the classic bright red lip, I’ve always liked my red lip shade to be dark and vampy looking and from checking out swatches of Monte Carlo online, it’s exactly that. As it’s a lip cream it will apply like a gloss but dries like a matte lipstick, but don’t forget it’s neither a lipstick or a lip gloss, it’s a lip cream. These are said to be moistursing and remind me of the lip creams by Collection 2000. I love my Collection 2000 Cream Puff lip creams (review for Fairy Cake here) but I would love to own more as they stay on the lips for ages and with the winter season coming up and dark lipsticks being all I wear during that season, I need this lip cream in my life as soon as possible. Plus it’s an affordable price and although I do need to shop around, NYX Cosmetics seem to have it at the cheapest price, however their delivery is £4.50, but as I want a few products from them, I may pay the postage fee… We shall see!

  • Bourjois Paris Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Plum Russian from boots.com – £7.99

I eyed up these lip crayons by Bourjois when they first made their appearance over the summer. I’d seen them written about on most beauty blogs and Peach on the Beach caught my eye the most, however, when I went to swatch them in Boots one afternoon the colour no longer stood out to me, infact none of them did. The formula felt lovely and creamy mind and the type of product I would like to own in future. As if Bourjois heard my prayers that they would create some darker shades for autumn and winter, they brought out two new shades, one being Plum Russian. Many beauty bloggers described this as being a dupe of MAC Rebel (my review for that can be found here) but more creamy and upon checking out their swatches, I can see why they said this. After a week of searching for Plum Russian to see if these claims were accurate on my skin tone, I finally found it to swatch and it did look like a creamier version of Rebel on the back of the hand. As much as I love Rebel, it’s too dark for me to wear to work and its by far my favourite lipstick so it makes me a little sad, however I know this would be workable due to it being glossy and creamy. It’s not cheap at £7.99, so I’m going to wait until it’s on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots or Superdrug so I can pick up a few bits and pieces alongside it. I really do want to own a few more lip crayons, they’re easy to use and are really moisturising too, something we all need during the colder months.

  • Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturising Lip Colour Balm in Plushest Punch from clinique.co.uk – £17.00

I saw this reviewed on Temptalia’s blog in March and since then I have been wanting this lip crayon for a while. As I always say when I mention her, she always does the best swatches out there and some of the best reviews I’ve ever read, I always pop over to her blog when I want a good review on a MAC lipstick. It’s described as a raspberry pink, which is always a nice shade that can be worn throughout the year from spring to winter. I’ve come to notice that Chubby Stick’s have always had mixed reviews, some saying they were a waste of money due to lack of moisturisation and no scent or taste, whilst others have liked that they don’t have any scent or taste to them and commented how pigmented they are. Clinique are known for their products being allergy tested and 100% fragrance free, so of course they aren’t going to smell or taste of anything, they’re fragrance free! It’d make a nice change to have a lip product that didn’t have a taste of scent to it, just for a change as most days lip products taste of chocolate, vanilla, etc and that just makes me hungry! Especially Rebel, which reminds of warm doughnuts from those little huts in town centers. Anyway, I’ve digressed… I still need to swatch Plushest Punch as for all I know I could go to swatch it in store and find that I already have a lip product this same colour. Either way it looks gorgeous and is something I would like to have in my collection. I’ve actually been looking at buying a little sampler version of this from eBay for less than £7.00, but whether I do or not… We shall see!

  • Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Candy Shimmer from clarins.co.uk – £17.00

In June my friend Poppy told me about this lip balm, which she also reviewed over on her blog so when I went over for a nose at swatches, as well as her thoughts and feelings on it, I got to see how gorgeous this is. I eventually popped into Clarins to swatch it and it’s a gorgeous pink with shimmer running throughout it. I nearly bought it there and then but I knew I needed to save money and put the tube back down and admired the swatch on the back of my hand for the rest of the afternoon. The applicator is made out of soft sponge and feels really soft, as well as feeling it, which will be really delicate on the lips if they’re sore. For a lip balm, it is a tad on the expensive side but I actually thought this was a lip gloss, but as Clarins describes this as a balm, I’ll go with that! This is the type of thing I would wear if I’m having an off day, or just for work! Have found this cheaper on eBay, but whether or not I buy it from there, I’m unsure but it’s in my watch list for now.

  • Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Lemonade from boots.com – Was £7.99, now £5.99

I currently own three lip butters, Candy Apple, Sweet Tart and Wild Watermelon (reviews of these anyone?) so you wouldn’t think I’d need anymore, surely? Well we all thought wrong as I’ve seen at least four I’ve wanted, but I’ll be good and just want this one… For now. When Revlon released some more shades in June for the summer, Pink Lemonade was one of them and at first I didn’t like the look of it, it looked pale and just not my type of shade, but after seeing Maybe It’s Megan Leigh review this over at her blog (she’s love BTW!) I just fell in love with the colour. It’s a pastel pink shade but due to the lip butter formula it looks more like a sheer pink gloss, which can be wearable for any occasion. Like Clarins Candy Shimmer I’d probably wear this when I’m feeling a tad under the weather, as well as for work. I swatched this a few weekends ago and it looked lovely and I discovered it’s pretty build-able too, so if you wanted it to be a lighter pale pink you would only need one covering, but if you wanted a darker pale pink then pack it on (but not TOO much of course!) I was close to buying this when swatching it, but I’m not in any rush and I’ve found people put brand new lip butters on eBay and beauty blog sales for next to nothing, so I’m keeping my eyes peeled for now, but this being said, £5.99 isn’t a bad price for a Revlon Lip Butter.

Another NYX product, but this one is a little different from Monte Carlo. I’ve never heard of a butter gloss until now and according to NYX Cosmetics website it’s a lip gloss that gives you a sheer to medium coverage on your lips and doesn’t leave being the sticky feeling that most of us dislike with lip glosses. It can be used alone or over a lipstick of a similar shade, I’d use this on its own though. Once again, I discovered this product through Maybe It’s Megan Leigh and you can check her post/review out about Peaches & Cream here. It looks like a gorgeous bubble gum pink, even though it sounds like it’s meant to resemble a creamy peach shade. Nevertheless it looks gorgeous and for £5.00 I would wear this butter gloss quite a lot. I’d wear it to work, when out and about, as well as when seeing my boyfriend. It claims to be nourishing too, which would be a nice treat during the cold winter days when my lips may feel chapped and dry. This sounds really thick and creamy and right up my street for the type of lip glosses I like.

I’ve never really seen the hype amongst beauty bloggers about Korres lip butters, until I looked closer at them. All the different scents have different shades too, Wild Rose is a deep berry colour, which reminds me of Illamasqua’s Magnetism lipstick (you can read my review of that here) Deep berry is one of my favourite shades I like to wear during autumn and winter but sometimes I want that dark lip, but at the same time I want to moisturise my lips. Most lip balms and butters won’t give the pigmentation that a lipstick or gloss will, but this lip butter appears to do just that and after reading Sparkly Vodka’s post about Wild Rose, I can safely say I NEED this in my handbag at all times! I’ve found this new on eBay cheaper, but I’ll be keeping my eyes out for this in future.

Since Temptalia reviewed this in May this year, I’ve been after getting New Wave to add to my lip product collection. I have heard nothing but positivity about OCC Lip Tar’s, but I really want the gloss version of these, as whilst the normal lip tars look great, the added gloss just looks lovely! New Wave is described as a classy neon pink, which it looks to be from the swatches Temptalia shows on her post about it. It looks lovely and is the type of thing I would wear on a cold day to pick me up, due to its neon like colour. I reckon I would have such fun using this lip tar and it comes with a little brush so that you can apply it too. I wouldn’t use this for work as it sounds a little fiddly, it’d be more something I would use for evenings and nights out and probably days out shopping with friends, maybe for meals too. Either way, I know I’ll be getting myself a lip tar by 2014!

So that was my lip wish list! Technically MAC – Speak Louder lipstick should be on that list too, but that’s in my November Wish List, which you can find (here).

So do you own any of the lip products on my wish list? If so which ones and are they good or bad?

Do you have a lip wish list? Or even an eye-make up or nail polish wish list? If you do, please feel free to share some of the products you want.

Leave all this down in the comments. 🙂

Until next time take care!

September Favourites

DSC_0002

I can’t believe September is finally over, it went by really quickly, didn’t it? I know I say this every month but I really can’t believe how quickly this year is going, it’ll be Christmas in a couple of months (insert gulp here)!

It’s not started to get chillier and as I write this I appear to have cold like symptoms, so I’m wrapped up warm in bed with a cup of tea and watching Disney films (I have Sleeping Beauty on at the moment) while I write-up some blog posts.

As stressful as September has been, it’s also been an amazing month and I’m glad to say I really enjoyed September this year, here’s to a great October!

Now, let me show you what products I enjoyed using throughout September.

DSC_0006

  • Imperial Leather Foamburst Luxurious Body Wash in Moisturising Honey & Almond Milk.

I bought this after seeing it in Sainsbury’s on offer and when I get home from work I stink of coffee and sometimes have sticky forearms from where syrups and sauces have gone all over me from making all sorts of drinks for people so I like to have a quick shower when I get back. The foamburst body washes have been out for years and I used to use them all the time, both for washing my body as well as for shaving and I don’t know why I ever stopped using them to be perfectly honest. The honey and almond milk in this body wash is really moisturising on the skin and leaves me feeling soft as a babies bum! I like to use this for shaving too, as it leaves a really nice smooth finish afterwards. These come in different scents and such too, as well as some limited edition versions that come out once or twice a year. These are just really quick and easy to use, especially if you’re in a hurry and that’s what I like about them so much. I definitely recommend this one if you have dry skin like myself, as it just feels like a treat, especially now the weather is getting colder. On top of all that, this smells amazing! I love it so much and will definitely be repurchasing, alongside another scent maybe.

  • Garnier Intensive 7 Days Hand Cream in Dry To Extra-Dry.

In my September Favourites in 2012 I spoke about this hand cream, I also spoke about it last month too! I know it’s bad to speak about the same product a month after it was previously mentioned but I swear to God, this hand cream is my savior at the moment. I’ve been to my doctor so much these past two months that I feel like a pain to go again about my eczema, but this being said I intend to go this week as it is rather painful on my hands now. In the meantime I’ve been using this hand cream as it’s really thick, moisturising and lasts a few washes. It leaves my hands feeling hydrated straight away and sinks into the skin after just a few rubs. I love this hand cream so much and recommend it to everyone when they tell me they need to find a new one to try! Go read about it in my two previous favourites (linked above) if you wish to know more about it.

  • Nina EDT by Nina Ricci.

This was a Christmas present from my brother back in 2011 and I’d always wanted to purchase it for myself, not even telling him this! He’s awesome when it comes to buying presents and always knows what to get people, without even asking. He always buys me and my Mom perfume, as he knows how girly we are at heart. Anyhoo I’ve mentioned this in a previous favourites post aggges ago, as well as in a huge perfume post I also wrote a while back (which needs updating!). But this perfume isn’t strong due to it being an EDT, which I like and due to it I’ve been wearing it for work as well as if I’m quickly popping out the house. I just like it’s citrus/floral scents and it’s perfect for if I don’t want to smell really strong of said perfume. As well as this I’ve been getting headaches from some of the my stronger perfumes lately so I’ve been wearing my EDT scents a lot more.

  • Bath & Body Works PocketBac Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel in Pink Sugarplum.

I love PocketBac’s and like most English people and beauty bloggers alike, I’m still wanting to know WHY we don’t have these in the UK yet! Thankfully though, we do have eBay and if you search long and hard enough, you’ll find these cheap enough on there. I have a look every once in a while to find some good deals and was lucky enough to find this one for £2.00. It smells like a body spray or shower gel I would have used in my early teens and thus smells really fruity, I usually pop some of this one when I wake up in the morning before I head off to work, as the scent lasts for ages whilst I make my way to work. This is really soothing for the hands too as it contains Tahitian Palm Milk. I’ll be writing a review up for this at some point in the next few weeks. Sadly this is a limited edition hand gel for Christmas, but as it comes out every year, it’ll be back in a couple of months time. This just smells amazing and it keeps my hands nice and germ free, perfect!

  • Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Face Spa Face Mask.

I was supposed to mention two of these face masks but I couldn’t for the life of me find the other one, which is their Tea Tree Face Spa face mask. These are both sheet masks which you use the same as normal clay or peel off face masks and I found that they cost the same as other Montagne Jeunesse face masks, so that made me happy. Out of the two I do prefer the Dead Sea face mask. After using it my skin felt soft and somewhat tingly and cool, which I thought was really nice as the evening I used this, it was rather warm. I liked how easy they were to take out of the packet and apply to your face. But what I loved the most was how easy they were to take back off again and how it left my skin feeling. The Dead Sea mask left my skin looking great and somewhat brighter so this is something I’m definitely going to use in future before a special day or evening out. I used the Tea Tree mask when I was breaking out quite a little and for a few days after using it, I didn’t break out but after that I sadly did, but I wasn’t that bothered as the few days after using the mask I was spot free so it’s clearly something you would use a few days before an important event, evening, etc.

  • Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturising Lip Balm.

I hadn’t used this lip balm for a while as I didn’t feel my lips were becoming dry and chapped enough during the spring and summer months to keep it in my handbag… However now the weather has suddenly started to get chillier I have needed to keep this in my handbag, as well as next to my bed. I use this at work quite a lot and when I’m out and about as it’s just a great pick me up if my lips are feeling a little sore, and best of all it makes a great base underneath a lipstick. I have missed using this lip balm and I really need to stock up on the again as I usually like to have two at a time and at the moment I only have this one. I mentioned this lip balm this time last year in my September Favourites. Go and have a read if you fancy a blast from the past.

  • Revlon Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon.

I remember when this lipstick was first announced to come out for the summer and how all the beauty bloggers were raving about them. I saw the swatches for this shade and decided I needed it in my life. Sadly when I first bought this I wore it for two days straight and then never again… That was back in May/June… I thought the shade was just a lighter version of Revlon’s Lip Butter in Candy Apple (which I own) and felt like I had wasted my money. However since the start of September and working in my store, I’ve been wearing this for quite a few shifts at work. It glides on beautifully and looks really nice. I’ve had a few comments on it by customers, one even asked what shade it was and where she could buy it from, bless her. ^_^ I love the Lip Butter’s by Revlon and I really want more of them! Right now I have my eyes on Pink Lemonade, which I might treat myself to when I go shopping with my friend Poppy in a few weeks.

  • Illamasqua Lipstick in Magnetism.

As you may have seen, I recently reviewed this lipstick, which also made an appearance in my October Favourites last year. Like Wild Watermelon, I’ve been wearing this lipstick at work since I started working in the new store, not as much mind due to this being a dark raspberry shade. I have however worn it out quite a bit when I’ve been going to see my boyfriend, going out with parents and friends and even if I have the odd errand or appointment. This lipstick is perfect for autumn due to it being a berry shade and as it isn’t drying, I don’t have to worry that after a long day at work or out and about that I’ll come home with more chapped lips than what I left the house with. It’s such a lovely lipstick and I’m glad Illamasqua decided to keep it as a permanent shade in their collection. I love using this as it’s my lazy dupe of Rebel, which I shall be wearing more of now we’ve finally hit the autumn season.

Sinful Colors nail polish in Cinderella – Review

Since their long-awaited release to the UK they finally arrived here at the start of the year! Sinful Colors nail polishes have been a huge success amongst beauty gurus and beauty bloggers alike due to their large range of shades and really cheap price tag.

Altogether there are 70 shades to go with whatever mood you’re in or whatever occasion you’re painting your nails for, there will be a shade for you in there somewhere. Plus they’re only £1.99 each, you can’t go wrong with that price, can you?

As well as various shades, they come in 5 different finishes, glitter, pearl, shimmer, matte and cream.

However for a long time I couldn’t seem to get onto the Sinful Colors bandwagon and every time I went into Boots in town I just couldn’t find a shade that made me think, “I NEED THAT SHADE IN MY LIFE!”

However, after looking around on Sinful Colors UK website and on various blogs for Sinful Color’s swatches, I finally found one that I didn’t yet have and needed in my nail polish collection.

I settled on Cinderella, a gorgeous baby blue with pink, silver and gold shimmer running throughout, thus being a shimmer finish on the nails. The colour of this polish really is unique and it definitely relates to the name of the Disney princess, the colours remind of her dress.

First of all I couldn’t help but notice the packaging for these polishes when I first saw them, they look very similar to O.P.I. polishes with the shape of the bottle, the black lid and the initials for the company on the top. In this case Sinful Colors have SC on the tops of their bottles.

On this picture I have two coats, one coat isn’t really enough, as due to this being a shimmer it isn’t a pigmented polish unless layered. I haven’t yet tried three coats, but I think I’ll try it in future.

The shimmer isn’t over the top which I like and has a jelly type feel to it, which I also like.

This is perfect for spring and summer, but I can see me wearing it a lot during winter too, due to the gorgeous shimmer.

The polish lasts for ages too on the nails, on my first wear of it lasted well over a week and that was without a top coat!

For £1.99 it’s an amazing price and if I ever hear of this discontinuing, I’ll be stocking up on loads of bottles!

I decided to team this up with a Revlon nail polish in Girly. I bought this months ago, only wearing it once and it went all tacky and refused to dry, but this time round I’ve had luck and the two polishes teamed together look beautiful.

I love wearing different coloured polishes on my ring finger to the colour on the majority of my nails. It just looks really delicate and pretty and these colours just work really well together.

Go check out Sinful Colors if you haven’t done so yet, I know I will be soon as I’ve seen a couple more shades I would like to pick up for when autumn and winter are upon us once again.

Which Sinful Color’s do you own? If you don’t yet own any, which ones do you have your eye on? Finally, would you buy Cinderella? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care and have a great weekend everyone, I know I will be.
