Asda NSPA Fruit Extracts Shower & Bath Gels – Review

This is a review I didn’t think I would do to be honest and not because of any negative reason, I just didn’t think it was something that NEEDED reviewing. I assume everyone knows about these awesome shower and bath gels but according to people I know they actually don’t AND GUESS WHAT? YOU’RE MISSING OUT!

I also wanted to write this review today because Asda currently have an offer on which includes these and I want people to take advantage of that like me and Dane have.

For quite a long time on and off I’ve bought these shower and bath gels and I’ve tried at least a hand full of different ones and I can’t wait to try more!

Today I’ll be reviewing three different scents and mentioning ones I’ve tried in the past. I hope you enjoy this review! I haven’t done one for a couple of weeks now so I wanted to try and get something out there! Lipstick reviews will be back very soon by the way. 😛

When me and Dane visited Asda Friday just gone we saw that Asda had a HUGE offer on their health and beauty products which was 3 for 2. We used this offer on loads of health and beauty stuff from deodorant, some erm feminine products for myself *coughs loudly* and of course these NSPA shower and bath gels.

I don’t actually think this offer is on anymore as it isn’t showing up on the website… Maybe it was just something for the bank holiday. WHICH I can’t believe we had again. Urgh. Too many bank holidays that I don’t get to enjoy due to my job. 😛

Anyways! Me and Dane picked up three of the shower and bath gels on the offer which are lemon, blueberry and strawberry.

The first thing I want to talk about is how gorgeous the colours of these gels are. Due to the 14 different scents there are all sorts of colourful bottles on the shelves when you go to buy these. As you can see from the pictures of the three we picked up, we’re going to have a very colourful bathroom!

The 14 scents you can choose from are shea butter, creamy coconut, strawberry, pineapple, vanilla, green tea, blueberry, sweet almond, raspberry, lemon, mango, passion fruit, red cherry and runny honey.

I remember when they had a lime shower and bath gel which smelt amazing and I loved using it throughout the summer the year I bought it. Sadly it’s been discontinued now and by the looks of things replaced with the lemon one, which is just as good!

These are all shower and bath gels I would happily use throughout the year, but they’re obviously going to be amazing throughout the warmer summer months! They’re also all 500ml bottles so these will last you ages! Between me and Dane using them everyday in our morning showers one bottle will probably last us a month. You don’t need a lot on a sponge or shower scrunchy as a little goes a long way!

I wouldn’t say this is super moisturising for the skin but it always leaves me feeling squeaky clean and smelling amazing after I get out of the shower!

This put under the hot tap for a bath makes loads of lovely scented bubbles! I know it’s not Lush but to be honest it makes a change from using Lush all the time and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper! Before now I’ve put it in the bath and washed my hair, my hair ends up smelling like whichever of the shower and bath gels I’ve used.

The brightest shade out of these is definitely the strawberry one. This has left out shower scrunchy stained pink before now! That isn’t a bad thing though. 😛

I’ll talk about each gel individually, first I’ll talk about the blueberry one.

I love blueberries so much! The actual fruit, the smell, the taste and hell even the colour of them is amazing! The first thing I did when I first bought this gel was give it a sniff to see if it smelt as good as it looked, which it did! It smells so fruity yet with a bit of sweetness to it. It reminds me of I Love… Cosmetics blueberry smoothie range that they had out years ago. I loved it so much and since I was about 20 I haven’t been able to find the blueberry smoothie scents since. This has definitely replaced it though and I wish NSPA had more products with the same scent. It strangely reminds me of the slush drinks you buy in the cinema, even though (as far as I know anyway…) they don’t do a blueberry flavour. Either way this one smells amazing!

Second one I’ll be talking about is lemon.

This is the one out of the three gels that we’ve not tried until now and as you can see we’re using this one at the moment. This smells amazing! I love citrus scents in summer but I love them more in the mornings! I find if I’m up really early for work that it helps  me to wake up due to the sharp and uplifting scent. The yellow colour is gorgeous too and really adds a pop of colour to your shower. This doesn’t smell of like sweet or candy, it genuinely smells like you’ve cut a lemon in half and you’re smelling it. 😛

Finally I’m talking about the strawberry gel, which is both mine and Dane’s favourite.

This is our second bottle now and I think from now on every time we pop to Asda for our food shop we’ll be picking up a bottle of this if it’s on offer. It’s a bright red shower gel and one that really does show a pop of colour when used in the shower, as well as when left on display on the side of the bath or shower. This smells just like strawberry laces but not in a sickly sweet way. More of a relaxing yet yummy scent.

These are definitely some of mine and Dane’s favourite shower gels and at £3.00 for a 500ml bottle I think these are a complete bargain! I mean considering you’ll pay £5.00 for a 250ml bottle in The Body Shop and extortionate prices from Lush between £15.00-£20.00 for a 500ml bottle.

I don’t know if it’s the older I’ve gotten or even since buying the house but as much as I love both The Body Shop and Lush shower gels they are a bloody rip off for what they claim to do to your skin and what they actually don’t do. I don’t mind paying £3.00 for these shower gels mind as I find whilst they don’t do anything mind blowing, I’m saving quite a lot of money in the long run really.

These are currently on offer for £2.00 each at Asda so if you like the sound of them make sure to pick one or two up!

Have you ever tried the NSPA shower and bath gels? If not do you think you would? Hey maybe you have, if so what do you think of them? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

I hope you’re all well folks and had a lovely bank  holiday weekend, sorry I’ve been a bit crap with blogging lately. I’m on late shifts at work right now and by the time I get in from work I eat my dinner and go to sleep. 😦 That and my mental health is pretty bad right now… But that’s for another post.

Until next time though take care all!

Lush Valentine’s Day 2017

Oh jeez Valentines Day… Such a bullshit holiday! Although it does make a good excuse for eating like shit. The only thing I do for Valentine’s Day is buy Dane a card and write a soppy message inside.

HOWEVER not all bad things come with Valentines Day such as soppy couples, restaurants being busy, expensive boxes of chocolates for sale and all sorts of stuff like that. It does come with some good, such as Lush’s Valentine’s Day range and this year it looks amazing!

A few weeks ago I popped into the Lush store in Birmingham to have a look at what they had on offer this year. Let me tell you, the store was HEAVING but what did I expect on a Saturday afternoon? In the end I managed to go back in and have a sniff and closer look at some of the new goodies, as well as some returning favourites. I thought I would talk through the new products with you guys and share which ones I want to pick up… Even though I’m meant to be on a spending ban… >.<

I might be naughty and get one or two things…

From L-R – ROW ONE – The Kiss Lip Scrub, Two Hearts Beating As One, Lovestruck, The Kiss Lip Gloss and Love You, Love You Lots. From L-R – ROW TWO – Unicorn Horn, Cupid, Over And Over, Roller and Kiss Me Quick. From L-R – ROW THREE Lover Lamp, Ladybird, Rose Bombshell, Love Spell and Prince Charming.

First of all I’ll talk about the lip products which consists of two for the Valentine’s Day range and are both returners from last year and if I’m not mistaken the year before too.

  • The Kiss Lip Scrub – £5.75 (link)

The Lush lip scrubs are pretty amazing to be honest, but personally lip scrubs aren’t my cup of tea. This one is cute for Valentine’s Day and comes with some pretty pink hearts on the top of it when you first open the jar. From memory this has a sweet scent and taste similar to the Bubblegum Lip Scrub, but this is more grown up and in my opinion is nicer.

  • The Kiss Lip Gloss – £5.95 (link)

Lush’s lip products when they were in the tins were horrible, but I don’t like any lip products that come in a pot. Lush now do the tubes for their lip products and they look amazing! I remember this lip gloss coming out ages ago and I wouldn’t exactly call it a lip gloss to be honest, it’s more like a tinted lip balm. I’m not a huge fan of this one as it just reminds me of Maybelline’s Baby Lips but with a couple more quid slapped on the price.

Next is the body and shower products, which introduces a new item that people are going crazy for!

  • Love Spell Massage Bar – £5.95 (link)

I’m not a massive fan of the massage bars from Lush as I find they’re really greasy and as a result can break me out and cause issues with my sensitive skin. This one will be nice for couples who want to have a nice relaxing massage with one another due to the heart shaped nodules it’ll make for a lovely back massage and the floral scent will relax you both.

  • Kiss Me Quick Business Wash Card – £2.00 (link)

Wash Cards are pretty new to Lush and from memory were introduced when the Oxford Street store opened in 2015. This is TINY and in my opinion not worth £2.00. BUT if you wanted something nice to give to a friend, or even treat yourself to it’ll be nice. You just rip off a bit of the card, apply some water and use all over the body. I’m gutted I didn’t get the chance to smell this as it contains apples and lemons, so I can only imagine how fresh it smells! I wish they had brought this out as a shower gel instead as sadly I won’t pay £2.00 only to end up using up the whole sheet in one or two washes. 😦

What Love You, Love You Lots Soap looks like before being cut up!

  • Love You, Love You Lots Soap – 100g £4.25, 250g £10.63 and 500g £21.25 (link)

Like the massage bars I’m not a huge fan of the Lush Soaps and although this was up for smelling inside the Birmingham store I never bothered… I’m just never sold by any of the soaps Lush come out with and the only soap I did like by Lush was discontinued, even as a best seller! ANYWAY… Love You, Love You Lots smells of roses, which of course is always associated with Valentine’s Day. I’ve heard a few people say this soap reminds them of the Rose Bubbleroon and the matching Rose Shower Gel (which is a Christmas exclusive) and although I love the Bubbleroon I’m not so keen on the shower gel. Sadly this isn’t for me, but if you love floral scents, especially rose this is right up your street!

  • Prince Charming Shower Cream – 100g £5.50, 250g £10.95, 500g £18.50 and 1kg £32.95 (link)

I LOVE this shower cream and have always bought a little bottle every year to try! I’ve tried both the gel and cream formula and the letter is definitely better. This contains marshmallow and vanilla which makes Prince Charming smell sweet but not sickly and is more comforting than anything. I find this one is lovely to use in the evenings before bed, or before a night out! I really want to pick up a big bottle of this for me and Dane to use in the summer.

I was going to talk about all the bath products together… But there’s nine and I think that’s a bit much so I thought I would break it up with the bubble bars and the bath bombs. First ones I’ll talk about are the bubble bars.

  • Two Hearts Beating As One Bath Melt – £3.95 (link)

I like the bath melts that Lush also recently came out with when the Oxford Street store opened, however not all of them are great. I gave this a sniff in store and couldn’t smell much to be honest (which is a problem I keep getting with Lush products lately…) but even when this was demoed in the water for me, I STILL couldn’t smell anything! It’s supposed to smell floral. Very disappointed… This being said for nearly £4.00 you can get at least two baths out of this one, but I would say stick to the normal bath melts and save nearly £2.00 towards another normal bath melt.

  • Lovestruck Bubble Bar – £4.25 (link)

I have to say this bubble bar makes me so angry, because it smells amazing but it’s TINY! For over £4.00 I would expect it to be the size of The Comforter Bubble Bar. What’s going on Lush??? This is supposed to look like an emoji (obviously!) which is funny although very hipsterish and annoying… I hate the whole emoji trend as I find it’s so tacky! ANYWAY! This smells of lemons and is so refreshing, so perfect for mornings off work when you have a long day ahead of you. I wouldn’t have expected this sort of scent to come up for Valentine’s Day, but I do like it. Just a shame about the price.

  • Ladybird Bubble Bar – £3.95 (link)

This bubble bar was a newbie last year and one I heard nothing but good things about, so I wanted to try it so badly. Sadly I was on a much needed spending ban and I never picked one up, but to my delight Lush brought it back this year so I finally got to smell it a few weeks ago and it certainly didn’t let me down. It smells of a light mint scent but quite sweet at the same time. I love it though and I intend to buy quite a few when I get paid. I can’t go another year without giving this little cutie a go! It would be great teamed up with Intergalactic Bath Bomb and maybe even Snow Fairy Shower Gel or The Comforter Shower Gel.

  • Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar – £4.25 (link)

This is probably everyone’s favourite product from the Valentine’s Day range… Or at least one of them. I know it’s one of mine! I still have one from last year which I know is pretty bad but I’ve been saving it for an evening where I’m really tired and need a good sleep. As you can see it’s a colourful bar which is to represent a unicorns horn. It’s quite a strong scented bubble bar and smells of lavender, which I really like! I’ve used these before in the past when I want a good relaxing bath before bed. I want to pick up a couple of these before they fly off the shelves for another year.

The final lot of products I’ll be talking about are the bath bombs and one of these is actually an Oxford Street exclusive BUT will be available on the Kitchen until the Valentine’s Day range disappears off the website.

  • Cupid Bath Bomb – £2.95 (link)

This is one of the cheaper pieces in the range and one of the new ones as well. It’s a sweet looking bath bomb and the name of it is very apt. If you’re familiar with the Razzle Dazzle Bath Melt then this smells exactly the same, which is a mixture of raspberry, lime and rose. This sadly isn’t my cup of tear but for the price would make a lovely treat for someone wanting to give something nice to their Valentine. 😉

  • Over And Over Bath Bomb – £4.25 (link)

This is one of my favourite new products for the range this year! It reminds me of Never Mind The Ballistics Bath Bomb from the Christmas 2016 range due to the bath melt on top and the rest being a bath bomb. I found the NMTB bath bomb didn’t have such a strong scent (even though I bought 2 in the sale… HA!) but this one really does have a strong citrus scent and I LOVE it! I know I’ll be buying a couple of these before they go.

  • Roller Bath Bomb – £4.25 (link)

This has been a fast Kitchen favourite since either before or during Christmas and one everyone has been talking about for a while, so now it’s available to buy for a month online as well as in the Oxford Street store! Like Never Mind The Ballistics Bath Bomb and Over And Over Bath Bomb it has a bath melt on the top. It shares its scent with Yummy Mummy which is a creamy strawberry scent with a hint of floral. Sadly this bath bomb is CONSTANTLY sold out when online, which is annoying. Be quick if you want to get your hands on this!

  • Rose Bombshell Bath Bomb – £4.25 (link)

This is another returning bath bomb from last year which did really well, due to peoples love of Rose Shower Gel. I haven’t tried this one, but I wouldn’t mind it. As you can tell from the name it smells of roses, which isn’t such a big thing for me as I’ve already mentioned. However the Rose Bubbleroon doesn’t smell anything like the shower gel to me and instead of being strongly floral, I feel it smells sweeter. This is why I’d like to give the bath bomb a go and see what all the fuss is about.

  • Lover Lamp Bath Bomb – £4.25 (link)

Finally we have Lover Lamp which is exactly the same as Lava Lamp Bath Bomb which is a permanent bath bomb. I was annoyed when an employee at the Birmingham store told me there’s nothing like it when it was set relatively close to the Lava Lamp and that this had come out before Lava Lamp. Erm no. ANYWAY this smells fresh and like oranges which I really like! I sadly prefer Lava Lamp to this one as it’s available all the time.

So apart from anymore Oxford Street exclusives and some gifts for Valentine’s Day, that is all of the products coming out for 2017!

I really love the collection this year and feel like Lush have brought out some great products and scents, however I do feel some of the products are too small for the price, or too expensive for what they are. But meh this will only continue to happen the older Lush gets.

Have you tried any yet? If so which ones? Let me know your thoughts on the range this year!

Until next time all take care and have a lovely weekend!

Lush Santa’s Postbox Soap – Review*

Woohoo it is the first Lush Christmas review of the year! I don’t think I reviewed any Christmas goodies last year which is a real shame to be honest. I just never ended up buying anything until the Boxing Day sales… Hey if I can grab loads of bargains then hell why not?!

A couple of weeks ago I attended a Lush bloggers event in their Coventry store (you can read about it here!) and when the event was over they gave us all goody bags which was amazing! I got four items altogether, one being a bubble bar I got to make during the event, as well as the soap I am about to review.

Santa’s Postbox is a new edition to Lush’s Christmas products this year and one I really like. I’ve never been a big fan of the Lush soaps for various reasons, the main one being that I’m allergic to a lot of Lush’s soaps. However I haven’t yet had a negative experience with this soap.

Lush describe Santa’s Postbox as:

Attention please! Attention please!
Last call for post! No time to freeze!
Rush to the postbox. Lick the stamp.
Ignore the painful writer’s cramp.
Ha ha, you’ll say, new gifts for me!
Ho ho, he’ll answer, wait and see!

The colourful envelopes and presents inside every chunk of this soap were posted before yours, so there’s no time to waste! When you’re ready to seek out the nearest pillar box, simply follow your nose. Fresh satsumas are squeezed to give this an energising, citrusy scent. Orange flower absolute, bergamot and Sicilian mandarin oils evoke the inimitable excitement of peeling the satsuma at the bottom of your stocking.

some_text

The soap before it is cut up looks amazing and just like a red British postbox and shares it’s scent with Satsuma bath bomb. The bath bomb was originally called Dashing Santa but Lush have changed it this year and also made it an Oxford Street Exclusive. It smells as you can guess just like juicy satsumas and like oranges and lemons which I love! It’s really nice to use in the evenings as a pick me up and in the mornings before work to wake me up. Depending how the big postbox soap is cut depends on the colour of your chunk of soap. Mine is mostly red with one dark orange patch. I love the colour of it.

As this contains extra virgin coconut oil it means it’s lovely and moisturising for the skin, which I love as when the weather gets colder my eczema really does hit strongly, so I need something that will calm it down during the week when it’s flaring.

I mostly use this soap in the bath after a long day at work as well as for using to shave with both in the shower and in the bath. That’s what I mostly do with Lush soaps as I find they work great for shaving due to the creamy lather they produce. However due to the gel like consistency of this soap it doesn’t lather up as creamy as (for example) Rock Star soap would.

I have noticed the past couple of days a little bit of a drying on my legs and I’m unsure if this is from the soap or from something else. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was from the soap sadly but I’ll make sure to keep my eye on it of course!

Sadly I don’t know what size chunk Lush gave me, but I can only assume that it was their standard 100g size. The soap is available to buy in a small 100g size for £3.25, a medium 250g size for £8.10 or a large 500g size for £16.25.

Personally I probably wouldn’t pick Santa’s Postbox up again, not because I don’t like it because I love it, but because I want to try other soaps instead.

I know this isn’t a very long Lush review but I’m not going to lie… What can I really say about a soap? 😛

Have you tried Santa’s Postbox? If so what do you think of it? Or if you haven’t tried it yet would you like to pick it up? Also!!! Make sure to let me know what your favourite Lush Christmas product is this year.

Until next time, take care all and have a lovely weekend!

Christmas Presents!

Merry Christmas one and all! Even if it is a tad too late to say now… Everyone is saying, “Happy New Year!” at the moment, aren’t they?

ANYWAY! Christmas has come and gone once again, and as you can tell from my absence the past couple of days, I’ve had a really good one this year. I spent the morning over at my boyfriend’s house with his family, which was lovely. We hadn’t done this yet, so it really did make a nice change. Then in the evening we came over to my house, which was super chilled out. Perfect Christmas!

I worked Boxing Day, which sucked but it was a laugh with my colleagues and we all talked about our Christmas Day’s, and what we got for Christmas.

Tonight I’ll be sharing what goodies I received for Christmas! As I’ve stated the past couple of years when writing these sorts of posts, I am in no way bragging, or showing off about what I received for Christmas. I love reading posts like this (because I’m a nosey cow!) so I always imagine people would enjoy reading mine too… Especially anyone who loves foxes, and anime/manga related goodies, as that’s what the majority was which I received.

I also want to apologise for crappy pictures. These were taken late at night, I was shattered after a busy day, and I knew if I didn’t get something taken, I would have nothing to write about now as I’ve literally not had any time.

So, here are my presents!

As you can see I received a lot of gifts, and this isn’t even all of it! Nope, there is more…

As I mentioned in my holiday haul post here my dad bought me this gorgeous Michael Kors Riley handbag! It has been my go to bag ever since the holiday, and I can see it being used pretty much forever now… I love using it for work as it’s so light to carry and it fits the right amount of items in.

One of the best presents I received for Christmas was nightwear. I haven’t received any for quite some time, so when my boyfriends parents bought me this fox slipper socks, and my boyfriend bought me these woodland animal pajamas, I was thrilled! The pajamas he bought me are so damn comfortable as well! I wore them from Christmas Day to this morning, and I wish I could be wearing them now. I love long-sleeved pajama tops!

My boyfriends family were really generous and lovely this year with their presents to me. My boyfriends brother and his girlfriend bought me Lush, and although my boyfriend states that they didn’t know which gift set I was after, they bought me the exact one! I’d eyed this set up only a week ago in Lush, due to it coming with Twilight Shower Gel, which is a limited edition product, and only comes out in the Lush Kitchen. I haven’t used it yet, but I can’t wait to.

My boyfriends parents bought me various little bits and pieces, from the fox slippers mentioned earlier, a cute little candle with squirrels on it, and this beautiful fox pillow. I snuggled it all morning after opening it, and it now sits lovely on my bed… I’m leaning against it right now, and it’s so fluffy and comfortable! They also bought me some Pandora, but I’m saving that until last.

My families gifts were lovely, and to the point. Alongside all these my mom also bought me a navy dressing gown, but I never got a picture of it, sorry. One of the nicest presents she bought me was this gorgeous fox mug! I had told her I wanted it from Avon for a while, and she offered to pick it up for me. Alas she told me it had sold out, and had secretly hidden it for Christmas. She also bought me a cute little fox purse. I’m unsure what I’ll use it for at the moment, but I’m sure I’ll soon find a use for it. The hair towels were a complete surprise, and I was keen on getting some new ones, so these pink ones will do just the job! I love using these towels to dry my long hair, they really do the trick. As my mom did last year, she has done it again and bought me a new face powder, only this time on by Laura Geller. So far since getting it a few days ago I’ve been using it and it’s lovely, I cannot complain.

My brother is great when it comes to presents, he always gets good ones, and usually he’ll get perfume. He never knows what perfume I’m after (because I don’t really talk to him about that sort of thing) but he always seems to get me something that I think, “Ooo that’s nice… Meh too much money…” and it makes me smile. This year he has bought me the latest scent by Marc Jacobs, Decadence. I can’t even describe the scent for this. It’s pretty unique, and reminds me of something that Thierry Mugler would come out with. The bottle for this does astonish me too, with its little handbag design. This came in a gift set with a shower gel, which I used on Boxing Day. I intend to wear this on my birthday.

My boyfriend bought me so much stuff! Like SO much stuff! But in return, I also bought him lots of things. The majority of what he seemed to pick up for me, they were fox themed. He’s never bought me this much fox related stuff before, which surprised me. He bought me a fox umbrella, and a fox car air freshener from a company called The Fox Project, a charity which helps foxes that have been hurt, and need urgent treatment. Along these he also bought me two pairs of fox socks from M&S, as well as a fox mug. Said mug now lives at his house, as I’m always pestering him for tea and coffee.

Alongside fox related items he had a habit for buying me lots of books this year (as I did for him too), and Umaru-Chan related goodies. He bought me two of these later items, one being a t-shirt, the other this adorable little notebook! I’ll be using that for work as a blog writing book. As I already mentioned, he bought me books, four in total. Three being books 10, 11, and 12 from the Nana manga, and one being the Pewdiepie book, This Book Loves You. I intend to go through it on my day off Wednesday.

As well as that he also picked up this cute little polar bear, as something I can snuggle when at his house, a Simon’s Cat calendar for next year, and a little Yankee Candle Christmas Eve votive candle.

He also bought me a special Pandora charm, but I’ll be going into more detail about that shortly.

These were two of the best presents I received from my boyfriend. I knew I was getting the Umaru-Chan Nendoroid, but the Baymax Pop! Vinyl was a complete surprise to me! I had told him I wanted it, but I didn’t know if he would buy him for me or not.

I am a massive fan of Big Hero 6, and Baymax really melted my heart. I can’t even remember how many times I cried when we went to watch Big Hero 6… It was a lot though! I’m not a huge Pop! Vinyl fan, I think the majority of the figures they release and sell look crap with how their paint work has been done. HOWEVER some of them do look amazing, and Baymax is one of these. He’s pearlescent in colour, and is bigger than normal Pop! Vinyl’s, which I actually really like.

As for Umaru-Chan she’s a gorgeous little figure, and one I fast fell in love with. I have spoken on my blog before about how much I love the anime that she originates from, and so when I got into the anime, my boyfriend knew he had to order the figure for me. I want to open her so badly, but she’s just too nice to open her. Instead I shall just gaze at her from afar and one day-dream of opening her.

Finally we have the two Pandora charms I was given this year. One from my boyfriend, and one from his parents. His parents gave me the little puppy charm (on the right) that is wearing a cute little red Father Christmas hat. It is such a little cute charm, and I wish I could have got some better pictures of it, but alas I couldn’t at the time. He’s sitting down, with his tongue sticking out. It’s a real cutie to add to my bracelet.

The charm my boyfriend bought for me is the fox (on the left) and it isn’t actually an official Pandora… But I don’t care about that! Pandora are taking too long to release a fox charm (you watch, they will now!) so when my boyfriend saw this one for sale on The Fox Project he snapped it up. It’s a cute little fox lying on a log, and I imagine trying to have a snooze. I love this charm so much because it really does stand out on the whole bracelet.

So that’s all… Wait… That isn’t ALL my presents? Is it?

My mom bought me a Kitchen Aid for Christmas. You know, like the ones they use on The Great British Bake Off? YES ONE OF THOSE! I was gobsmacked when I opened a massive present to not only see this, but a ceramic bowl, as well as a five piece kitchen/culinary set to use with the mixer as well. For weeks my mom has been lying about this massive box in the living room, saying it was something my brother had ordered… But it never budged. Until I came home for Christmas, and it had moved and was covered in wrapping paper. I am so excited to use it, even though I’m not 100% sure when I will yet. When I do, I’m sure I’ll have some sort of blog post about it.

Now, that IS all I received for Christmas. Although I did receive a wash set from my sister-in-law, and nephews, and I am yet to see what friends have bought me.

But yes, that is all my presents from Christmas ’15! What did you get for Christmas? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below, or even link me to your blog post about it if you’re a blogger.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you have a nice rest after Christmas. I would love one, that’s for sure. 😛

October Favourites 2015

I can’t believe it is now November! It only feels like yesterday when I started my masters, and that was well over a year ago now. I graduate the end of this month, and I have another holiday to look forward to with my dad. I have now began to notice it’s feeling colder now, and it’s time to wrap up in my winter coat. I cannot wait to team it up with my Dr Martens.

But for now, I am talking about my favourite from October. It was really hard finding five products to talk about this month to be honest, but after much thought I finally found them, and here they are.

  • The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Sugar Body Scrub.

After using up both of my most recent Lush body scrubs (Rub Rub Rub review and Ocean Salt review) I decided it was time to pick something new up. Whilst having a look around The Body Shop at their sale (as well as some present ideas for my boyfriend) I noticed that some of their previous summer range was in the sale, both Sweet Lemon and Vineyard Peach. So I picked up both of the scrubs, out of the two mind this one is proving to be the better of the two. After using it my skin feels silky soft and smelling delicious! I really wish this was a permanent product though! I’ll be making sure to try their other sugar body scrubs out in the future.

  • Philosophy Sugar Plum Fairy Shampoo, Shower Gel, and Bubble Bath.

I’ve owned this stuff since Christmas 2012 but I’ve only just opened it as I wanted to save it for Christmas, or even for summertime. It’s a gorgeous scented multi-purpose product from Philosophy which is a real treat. I’ve been using it mostly as a bubble bath for evenings when I really want a nice hot bath, but I don’t wish to use my Lush products. It leaves a nice gentle scent on the skin and a little bit of shimmer. It’s perfect for Christmas, and was a limited edition for Christmas too. I don’t actually think you can buy this anymore, which is a shame as I love it so damn much! If you can get your hands on this, I recommend it! You can check out my review from back when my blog first came to be!

  • Reese’s Lip Balm.

I didn’t think I would love this lip balm as much as I actually do. It was an impulse buy when me and my boyfriend popped into Primark about a month ago. I don’t even remember what we bought when we went there but alas, we were there. I spotted this on the till and for £1.50 my boyfriend picked one up for me. We love anything peanut butter flavoured, and as I LOVE Reese’s Pieces, he thought I would like this. It’s a petroleum jelly style lip balm that doesn’t just smell of the famous peanut butter cups, but even tastes of it! It’s not the most moisturising balm in the world, but it does the trick if I want to quickly apply something whilst on the go, before work, or even whilst I’m at home. I’m going to be buying some of these for people for Christmas, they’re just so amazing!

  • Philosophy Amazing Grace EDP.

Ooo two Philosophy products mentioned this month! This is one I got halfway through the month, and it’s one of my favourites out of the five this month. My mom picked this up on a special offer from QVC in a massive gift set, and kindly gave this perfume to me. Years ago I owned the Amazing Grace shower gel, and the body lotion. I used to use them both every day, and whenever I saw my gran she would always comment how lovely I smelt. So the scent always reminds me of her, so to finally own a perfume version of it is just a dream come true! I wore it loads the first week I got it, and as it’s a huge 125ml bottle, it will definitely last me ages! I recommend the Philosophy perfumes if you fancy trying something new, especially as the grace scents are really gentle and soft. Perfect for daytime wear.

  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Masochist.

This is by far my favourite product this month, so I’ve made sure to save the best until last. I am due to review this at some point this week, if not next week! But I have worn this quite a lot throughout October and without giving too much away, it is by far one of the best lipsticks I have ever bought. MAC is my favourite for lipsticks, don’t get me wrong they won’t ever be replaced but Jeffree is a really close second. They last ages, the shades are out of the world (especially the new Christmas ones due for release on Friday!), and they are just amazing. I cannot wait to own more, I really can’t. I don’t want to say too much on here as my review will explain it all.

So, those were my favourites from October. To think there is only one more monthly favourites post left, and then I’ll have my 2015 favourites up on my blog. It’s been such a fast paced year and before we know it, it’ll be 2016 and I’ll be turning 26. OH WOE!

What have been your favourites for October? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and hope you had a great weekend.

Lush Ocean Salt Face & Body Scrub – Review

Another week, another Lush review! This week I’m talking about Ocean Salt Face And Body Scrub. This is actually a product I have now finished, which I feel sad to say as I loved this scrub! Including this version, this came in four different types and I found it a little trialing to try and decide which one I wanted to buy. I finally settled on the original Ocean Salt, and I’m pretty pleased with my choice.

I first tried this product when my local Lush gave me a sample of this a month before I finally picked it up. I’d always wanted to give Ocean Salt a go, but I worried that it wasn’t for me. I’d heard various people comment on how this was too rough for their skin, sensitive or not, so I of course worried it would be the same for me. I also worried that this wouldn’t last me that long… But more on all that throughout the review.

I bought this scrub towards the end of July, start of August and it’s lasted me just over a month… Something that was rather disappointing. I expected it to last me at least two months like my Soap & Glory Sugar Scrub did. I guess I’m just glad I picked up the bigger size! You can get this in two sizes, 120g for £7.75, or the 250g for £13.95, which is the one I bought. Also as I mentioned previously including the type I bought, you can pick up Ocean Salt in four types, the original, alcohol free, self-preserving, and alcohol free and self-preserving. These are also all the same price as the original, which I think is good. They of course come in the same size tubs too.

As you can see from the above picture, I had used nearly all of this when I took the pictures for this post. I wish I had taken pictures sooner to be honest, but it was only recently I decided I would start this series, as regular readers will know. This is a creamy product that smells really fresh, and reminds me of holidays. It’s white in colour, but when you get a new tub there is some blue swirling and coloured sat on the top, which makes it look really pretty. There is thick, course sea salt throughout this product as well, which makes it great for a good scrub!

Ocean Salt contains lime, coconut, and vodka, which of course gives it that rich holiday type smell. I wouldn’t say you could smell the vodka that much, but when it comes to that sort of scent my nose isn’t all that sensitive to it. If you don’t like that smell however and are thinking of ordering this online, I would advice popping into Lush and giving it a good sniff beforehand, just incase you don’t like it. You can definitely smell the lime throughout this product, something that really appealed to me. It’s a fresh scent and you can smell it on the skin all day long after use.

When using this on both my face and body, I noticed that it would leave behind a sort of moisturising layer on the skin. Nothing too thick and greasy feeling, but just enough to leave me feeling gorgeous and smelling lovely too. If I didn’t use this all over my body, I would definitely use it on my feet, my thighs, my bum, and the tops of my arms to ensure they got a good scrub.

I mostly used this product on my face once a week when I first bought it, and it would leave my skin feeling soft and smooth! I have sensitive skin and I did worry that this may irritate it, but if anything it was really good! Vodka being alcohol is actually really good for spots, so it really did help in that department.

I noticed when I used this on dry skin it did go that little bit further than it would when I used it on wet skin, which might be a reason why it didn’t last me so long… But I don’t see why that should be an issue. This is definitely not a product where a little goes a long way, which was something I was really disappointed about again, especially considering how much it cost.

However after I bought Cup O’ Coffee Face And Body Mask (review here) it was soon replaced and that’s when I decided to use it on my skin as a once a week, or fortnightly treat. Although I love Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub (review here) more than any other scrub I’ve ever used, this has been used more so than that. Why? I don’t really know to be honest, as Rub Rub Rub to me is the better body scrub. I think the scent reminded me of holidays abroad so much, that I just enjoyed using it more so, especially with the summer season coming to an end.

So, would I buy this again? I don’t actually know. I really loved Ocean Salt, but I didn’t love how long it didn’t last. I guess if I had just used this on my face like I intended to when I first bought it, I would probably still have loads left. So I may pick this up again in the future and make sure I JUST use it on my face, not my body. But that won’t be until I get back from my holiday, or at least when I run out of Cup O’ Coffee, as that is lasting me ages already, and it runs out of date in November! Oops!

Do any of you guys own Ocean Salt, or want to pick it up? If so what do you like about it, and has my review helped you decide whether to buy it or not? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and have a great weekend.

Lush Halloween & Christmas 2015 LEAKED! Part Two – Christmas

It’s here! Part two, and it’s going to be a long post. There is more information about the Christmas products than there is about the Halloween ones. Apart from the gifts, everything that is on offer looks to have been leaked, which is pretty exciting! I don’t know what September 15th will hold, but from what I have read from official UK Lush stores on Instagram, the winter range (Halloween and Christmas) will be out at the start of October, SO we have less than a month to wait! Exciting huh?

Without further ado, I’m going to share with you all what we’ll be getting awesome for Christmas this year.

Bath Bombs (and one Bath Melt):

Ignoring the bath melt at the bottom, this is the line up for the bath bombs! Not including Lord Of Misrule (as that’s a Halloween product) there are 10 bath bombs all together, 2 of them being new, whilst the rest are returning products.

I am of course really happy to see that So White is back for another year as it’s my favourite bath bomb from Lush and always reminds me of Christmas time. I remember when it was teeny, but it’s really evolved over the years, which is great to see. Alongside that I’m happy to see the return of Shoot For The Stars, as I loved it when it first came out, but never got to try it last year. I’m also glad to see that Father Christmas and Golden Wonder are back, as I got to try Golden Wonder thanks to the Boxing Day sales, and luckily have one left, which I’ll be using soon! It’s such a gorgeous bath bomb and I’ll be stocking up as and when I can. As for Father Christmas I wanted to try that so much last year as it shares its scent with Snow Fairy, my favourite from Lush! I’ll be making sure I try it this year.

The one product I am SUPER excited about is Yog Nog. Oh my GOD! I loved the soap last Christmas and bought myself some when I did some shopping in Lush, and you know what? I STILL own it. I haven’t used it, and it’s still in the packaging. I intend to start using it soon, but now that there will be a bath bomb out with the same scent, I’ll be buying these up as much as possible. Inside the bath bomb there is a luxury bath oil and also contains some bubble bar grating so this bubbles up when popped into the bath. Isn’t that just the perfect bath bomb???

There is only one bath melt being released this year, which is of course Snow Angel. I’m quite sad to see there will only be one as I really wish Lush would bring back the old Snow Fairy Bath Melt. That was probably one of my favourite Lush products from Christmas in 2009/2010 and they never brought it back. Sad faces all round.

Bubble Bars & Resusable Bubble Bars:

I’m really excited for some of the newbies that are coming our way with the bubble bars! There are 5 altogether, 3 of them being new and all of them sound amazing! I always love the bubble bars that Lush come out with, but this year they just look and sound really lovely.

Every year I love that Lush bring back Candy Mountain, even though it is just a nicer looking version of Creamy Candy. There are quite a few bubble bars that have gone this year, so Lush have had to make sure they replace them with goodies, which they have done! I’m going to be trying ALL the new ones. Five Gold Rings sounds really creamy and delicious, and looks really nifty too. I just hope it isn’t too glittery, otherwise I may just have to leave it… I hate when bath products are glittery, I get covered in it! Peeping Santa is another one which sounds delicious! It sounds like it’ll smell of yummy strawberries, and you can never go wrong with something like that. It would probably go really nice with So White Bath Bomb to give you a fruity bath! Finally the other new bubble bar that I am excited about is Bar Humbug. I’m not the BIGGEST fan of liquorice scents, but I’m pretty sure with Christmas around the corner this will be perfect. I’ll definitely give it a smell before I buy it mind, just incase I don’t like it.

I love reusable bubble bars, and I’m super excited to pick up Magic Wand! I’m sure this has been out previous years but sadly I’ve never bought it before, something I’m going to make sure I do this year! It’s said to share its scent with Snow Fairy, so I can’t pass this product up!

FUN:

I can’t say I am the biggest fan of FUN. I’ve used it before and enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong and really liked it, but I would prefer to pick up other products over FUN. The main thing I love using it for is to shave with. I recently used some of my boyfriends Pink FUN and I loved it. So maybe I’ll see if I like the look of one of these. I can’t really imagine how any of these will smell to be honest, but I’ll be giving them all a sniff, and see what I think. I love how creative you can get with them all though! It makes for something cool to pop into a friends stocking, something I might do with my friends and family.

Shower Gels & Jellies:

If there is one thing that I get excited for every year it’s Snow Fairy Shower Gel. Ever since I can remember I’ve bought at least a tiny bottle of the good stuff to keep me going. I still have my bottle from last Christmas, something I’m probably going to keep for when I go on holiday as a treat to wash with in the evenings before nights out.

I’ll be picking up loads of huge bottles of Snow Fairy to keep me going throughout the year! I’ll also be keeping my eye on it in the Boxing Day sales, I missed out last year, which was a shame. Alongside that I may pick up one of the jellies, I’m unsure at this moment in time as I’ve never been that bothered about Snowman, but Santa’s Belly does sound rather nice for winter! I’ll give them a sniff and see how I feel!

Soap:

I’m never a huge fan of the soap from Lush, as the majority of it leaves me with bad allergic reactions, however there are a couple of the Christmas soaps that I can get away, and I can’t resist either to be honest! There are 5 soaps, only one being a new face this year. Last year I picked up Reindeer Rock and Yog Nog, two soaps I LOVED so much and ones I’ll be picking up again this year. Reindeer Rock smells of The Comforter Bubble Bar, which is really comforting. Yog Nog reminds me of cheesecake, which again is comforting. Old Father Time is the new soap this year, which really isn’t something I’ll be buying, sad to say.

Shower Products:

Bar the roulade, I love everything on this page! Christingle Body Conditioner sounds like a gorgeous and menthol mint conditioner, which will be good for cooling down in the summer, and maybe even in the winter. I love mint scents, and Intergalactic Bath Bomb (review here) will work perfectly with this one before I go out for Christmas parties, or maybe even after a day of Christmas shopping. Either way I really can’t wait to pick this up and I can see me stocking up so I have enough to last me through the year. The Salt And Peppermint Bark Shower Scrub looks and sounds amazing, not to mention delicious. This would be great to use alongside Christingle and Intergalactic to give me a proper minty scent and feel! Icing On The Cake does sound delicious, but I’m not a huge fan of the roulade, so I’ll more than likely give this a miss.

Body:

I’ve never used Dusting Powders before but I’ve always wanted to. Last year I was going to pick up First Snow, but I left it as I didn’t think I would use it in the end. Now that Lush will be bringing out Fairy Dust I’ll be making sure I pick some of this stuff up! I would wear it before nights out, and for days out with my boyfriend. I’d be tempted to buy it and take it on holiday with me to wear in the evenings, something I still might do. I’m so excited to give Fairy Dust a smell though! I can see it flying off the shelves alongside Snow Fairy.

Face & Lips:

I’m not all that fussed about the face and lip products this year, but that’s mostly due to the fact I already own both the lip products from last year and the year before. Although I would love the Santa Baby Lip Tint in the new tube form! I may just pick this up to replace my old tin version. I might try and grab a sample of the Cranberry Festive Fresh Face Mask as I don’t feel it will do much for my skin but it would be lovely to try.

Sadly those are all the Lush Christmas products for Lush 2015! As I have said previously, I can only imagine what America get is exactly the same as what we get too. I hope so anyway as there are some gorgeous products that I can’t wait to get my hands on.

So, now you know what products are out for Christmas, what are you most looking forward to buying? I’ve already stated mine, I want to hear yours. Make sure to let me know your thoughts on the 2015 range in the comments section.

Until next time, take care all and keep those eyes peeled for Lush news!

Lush Halloween & Christmas 2015 LEAKED! Part One – Halloween

I’m super excited to write this post at the moment! I had recently discovered the leaked Halloween products, but in the past ten or fifteen minutes I’ve heard about Christmas leaks, and boy are they good! I haven’t been this excited for Lush Christmas products since 2009! I know it’s probably naughty sharing leaked products with you all, but honestly I am just too on the edge of my seat to wait for an official announcement.

As these leaks are from America, I’m not even 100% sure if we’ll get these over here in the UK, but I’m pretty sure we will, and maybe more considering Lush is from the UK originally. But I just couldn’t help but share, I know a few blogs from over the pond are at the moment, so I don’t see the harm in doing the same. I’ll be talking about which items I’m excited about and why.

I want to say thank you to Golden Glamor for all the pictures and information on these leaks, she’s been very thorough about everything, which is amazing and due to that I have copied and pasted some of her information here, as she just explains it all better than I do! You can read her Halloween post here, and her Christmas post here.

So here it is, Lush Halloween and Christmas 2015, let’s start with Halloween first for part one of this two part post.

I apologise that the picture for this isn’t that great, but it’s the only one that is lurking around the internet at the moment. Lush Halloween this year is mostly Lord Of Misrule themed, which I should have seen coming to be fair! As usual, the bath bomb will be making an appearance, which I think is staying around until after Christmas. There will also be the Oxford Street exclusive shower cream and Aliens and Monsters FUN coming to stores, which is pretty exciting! I’ve never been a HUGE fan of Lord Of Misrule I’m more into my sweet scents, but I want to give it a chance this year. I really do like the smell of the shower gel. Alongside those three there will also be Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar which I’m sure came out last year and has a boozy citrus scent to it. The one product I am most excited about though is the bat shaped shower jelly Nightwing! No one knows quiet yet what it’ll smell of… Hopefully not Lord Of Misrule! 😛 There are rumours it will replace Sweetie Pie for Halloween and smell of blackcurrant. It would be pretty awesome if that were the case, AND if it is I’ll be picking up multiple pots to last me for as long as possible!

So the list includes (thanks to GG for this list):

Lord Of Misrule Bath Bomb
Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar
Lord Of Misrule Shower Cream
Nightwing Shower Jelly
Aliens and Monsters FUN

Of course there will be gift sets too (thanks to GG for this list):

Pumpkin Heebie Jeebie – includes Sparkly Pumpkin and Lord Of Misrule Bath Bomb
Bat Heebie Jeebie – includes Nightwing and Lord Of Misrule shower cream
Firecracker – includes Cinders, Experimenter, and Lord Of Misrule Bath Bombs
Full Moon KnotWrap – a super adorable, spooky knot wrap with a purple moon and bat outlines.

I’m pretty damn excited for Halloween! I don’t know when it’ll be out in the UK, but I imagine towards the end of this month. I know where my earnings will be going. 😉

So now we’ve spoken about Halloween, we can talk about Christmas… BUT due to how big that post is going to be, that will be up on my blog tomorrow. I feel mean making you guys wait, but oh well, it’ll be worth it! It’s going to be a very Lush themed week on my blog this week, but is that really a bad thing?

What do you think of the Halloween products that Lush are bringing our way this year? Are you a Lord Of Misrule fan and mega excited about all the goodies? Or do you hate it, and wish Lush had brought out something different? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time though, take care.

Wish List Wednesday – Lush Oxford Street!

So in just a couple of days I’ll be on my way and IN London! I’m still super excited and have already been thinking about what I have my eye on to buy from the Lush Oxford Street store. I’ll only be visiting once (MAYBE twice if we can) and as me and my boyfriend will be wanting to walk around other places and do other things I don’t want to be in there forever. Plus if I budget, I can save money as I don’t want to spend a fortune in there.

So I am trying to not spend more than £30, as I’m quite poor and would like to spend my other money at Hyper Japan, as well as other places in London.

I’ve scouted the internet for as much information as I can get about all of the range as although I want to go and discover products, I want to at least go in with some incline of what I want.

So here are ten products I really have my eye on, I know I won’t be buying all of them due to money, but I would like at least half of them. The ones that are in bold are the ones I REALLY want.

  • Big Bang Bubble Bar.

This doesn’t just look pretty (and remind me of something from the Christmas range) but it also sounds really delicious and up my street! It’s supposedly a zesty bubble bar which contains grapefruit, lemon, and tangerine. One blog online stated that it smells of sweet lemons, like sweeties which sounds delicious. The perfect bath product to use when you need a pick you up! If these DO smell like that, then I can see me picking up two of these.

  • Lava Lamp Bath Bomb.

This one has always attracted my attention since pictures of it first started to emerge onto the internet. I’ve always had a fascination with Lava Lamp’s since I was a kid, so I was intrigued too as it why it was called this. Thank God for YouTube! When this is placed into the bath, the purple bath oil parts of the bath bomb react alongside the orange of the bath bomb and create the effect of a lava lamp. Cool huh? BUT onto the scent! I’ve heard that this one is orange, orange, orange! I love the scent of oranges, they’re just so refreshing and wake you up, which would be perfect for summer mornings and evenings. I’m going to see how I feel about this when I get to giving it a sniff.

  • Supertramp Bubble Bar.

I LOVED Tramp Shower Gel so when they discontinued it, I was absolutely gutted. I had only recently gotten into it and then Lush took it away, so I was pretty sad. What makes matters worse is that Lush do bring this out once in a while through the Kitchen, but they sell it at a jokey price. A price I’m NOT willing to pay. However, now they have brought out a bubble bar in the same scent… At a reasonable price… I can deal with that. If it still smells the same as the shower gel did back in the day then I’ll definitely pick up one, MAYBE two of these. However if it doesn’t and disappoints… No buying from me.

  • Lime Pastille Bath Oil.

As the name suggests, this is going to smell of yummy lime pastilles! Well I hope so anyway. The bath oils are a new addition to the Lush family, although I think they’re out to replace the bath melts… Which I kinda hope not. I have a few reasons for this. 1. I think for the size £2.00 is a lot for ONE of these bath oils. 2. I’ve heard that they aren’t as good as they’re sounding. Either way, I will give these the benefit of the doubt and MAYBE give one or two a go. I love the smell of lime, and lime pastilles were always my favourite as a kid, so I can’t resist the temptation of giving this a sniff. Even if I do like it, I’ll only be buying one as like I said, £2.00 is a lot for what you get!

  • Cherry Blossom Reusable Bubble Bar.

This is definitely something at the top of my Lush wish list! I didn’t think much of it when I first heard about it, but when I heard elsewhere that this smells just like Happy Blooming bath melt and shower jelly, I knew I had to have it! Another product from Lush that I adored and then as soon as I finished one and went to buy another, discontinued. I swear Lush doesn’t like the products that I LOVE. So if this is accurate and it smells the same, I can see me buying more than one for sure.

  • Razzle Dazzle Bath Oil.

Out of the three bath oils I’m talking about on this blog post, I like the sound of this one the most. Described as being like raspberry ripple with lime, it sounds so delicious that I may end up eating it! If this one smells really good I could maybe see myself picking up two… But once again due to the price and how these aren’t meant to be that great, I may JUST get one to give myself a little taste.

  • Key Lime Pie Lip Balm.

I don’t need anymore lip balms… BUT I may need this one… I’ve already mentioned how I love lime, and I especially love key lime pie. Damn yummy stuff. I’ve used one of the Lush lip balms before and it was really good. I would use this around the house, and if I pick it up whilst I’m away in London, I’ll probably use it whilst around London too. I would like this, but I will have to see how I feel about it. I have my eye on the Passionfruit Lip Balm too, but I’ll need to see which is better.

  • Pink Flamingo Reusable Bubble Bar.

This just looks so cute, doesn’t it? I think that’s one thing everyone is loving about it right now too. It supposedly smells similar to The Comforter too, and on a sweeter side, which is perfect for me. I won’t want to use this due to how nice it looks though! I would bold this… But I don’t wanna pick up TOO much… If I do pick one up though, I’d only buy one.

  • Orange Blossom Bath Oil.

Apparently this one is quite a strong bath oil, which sounds yummy! Anything blossom related I usually like, and once again with the orange scents, I’m swaying toward it. I doubt I’ll pick this up though, due to the same reasons as the other two bath oils. I’m not as keen on this one as the other two… So I probably won’t even pick this up.

  • Milky Bar Bubble Bar.

This is one of the products that I’ve been rather excited about. It looks so awesome in the shape of a bottle, but it also sounds delicious too! I think it shares the same scent as the soap with the same name, which is like warm milk and Milky Bar’s. Something I really like due to how comforting they smell. If these are as good as they sound, I can see me buying two.

So that is my wish list on the way to being poor! I might not even buy as much as I probably said I would… Lush lasts me ages and to be honest if I really like stuff enough, I’ll probably end up taking a day trip down to London with one of my friends (hi Sophi!) to pick up a few more bits and pieces.

Have you been to the Oxford Street store yet? If so what did you pick up? If you haven’t been yet what are you eying up? Let me know your answers in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and I’ll be posting before I leave for London.

Bomb Cosmetics Christmas Wish List

Why hello there! I hope everyone has been enjoying November and is getting themselves geared up to open their advent calendars, visit German Markets, hear Christmas songs everywhere they go as well as put up with all the rush of Christmas shoppers! I’m not, at all but that’s for another post.

However I am ready for what lovely Christmas treats shops have to offer and Bomb Cosmetics is one of those!

I don’t love Christmas, but I love what lovely smells it brings to shops such as Lush, The Body Shop and Bomb Cosmetics.

They have their Christmas products out now so I thought I would share with you all the products I am hoping to pick up over the next month, enjoy!

Like Lush, Bomb Cosmetics offer all sorts of products for you to use in both the bath and the shower. This ranges from bath blasters, bath creamers, bath mallows, bath brulees & tulips and finally soap.

I won’t lie I’ve never used any of Bomb Cosmetics products before, BUT I have smelt them in a little shop in Cheltenham (can’t remember the name, sorry) and they smelt amazing but I never bought any as I couldn’t decide what I wanted! Next time I go there though, I’ll be buying some things for myself.

However, that’s about to change as I really want to get my hands on some of their Christmas range and plenty of it at that, so we best get started.

Bath Blasters – All £2.29 each!

Chilly Millie is the latest addition to our snowman family, designed to melt even the coldest of hearts! A pretty, feminine snow-lady, incorporating a fresh and fruity cupcake fragrance, and with pure geranium and ylang ylang essential oils to refresh, nurture and condition.

Chilly Millie Bath Blaster.

This bath blaster looks so adorable and for me reminds me of winter in the UK, let alone Christmas! Whether or not we see snow in December or not, I’m unsure of but this year it lasted until February, or maybe even March! This being said, Chilly Millie sounds perfect for cold winter days after you’ve had a long day and just want a relaxing night, or even for a day off when you’re staying in. It’s a sweet bath blaster that will leave your bath smelling of festive berries, caramel and sugar. It sounds delicious and I can imagine me popping this into my bath to have as a treat after a long day at work or before my boyfriend comes over to see me.

Just like a tiny but perfectly formed Christmas tree, with gifts of spicy cinnamon and ginger pure essential oils, to enliven and refresh just when you need it most. All we need is a tiny Santa!

Gingerbread Trees Bath Blaster.

How I found out that Bomb Cosmetics now had their Christmas range available to buy (I’m writing this towards the end of October BTW…) was through a review of Gingerbread Trees and Holly Dolly over on The Sunday Girl’s blog. Gingerbread Trees sounds right up my treat and look how gorgeous it is too! I wouldn’t want to put this in the bath, but from the description, I know I would end up giving in. This is the sort of thing I would use in the morning before going out somewhere nice, maybe even before work as it sounds so refreshing to use. It contains lemon, strawberry, pineapple, ginger, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, caramel, creamy balsam and finally rum. It reminds me of a Christmas party, or even Christmas Day and is something I would enjoy using so much.

A fresh strawberries and champagne fragrance for festive celebrations, a dash of glitter for Christmas sparkle, and pure bergamot and Neroli oils to help you chill out after all that Christmas shopping.

Stocking Fizzler Bath Blaster.

How cute does this little present look? It’s a lovely pink colour with a red glitter bow on the top, so pretty and girly. Not only does it look lovely, but the scent of this sounds delicious too and something every woman needs this Christmas period. With strawberry and champagne, this will be perfect to use before a night out, especially due to it being glittery too. I love the smell of strawberry so I could see this being right up my street and champagne will just make me feel that little bit glamorous. This will be perfect to pop into someone’s stocking this Christmas, especially mine… Hint, hint.

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, much pleasure canst thou give me! The words to a traditional carol, yes, but also a pretty accurate description of our new Xmas blaster. With grapefruit and cinnamon oils for a refreshing uplifting bath.

Oh Xmas Tree! Bath Blaster.

This little Christmas tree is adorable and the kind of thing I would like to use on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or even Boxing Day. It is said to give you a refreshing and uplifting bath, which is exactly what you want after Christmas after all that rushing around shopping, going to parties and cooking dinner. This contains apple and a subtle hint of cinnamon which is right up my street! Anything that smells of fresh, crisp apples wins me over every time and this is something I would love to use before dressing up in a baggy jumper and jeans so I can be all snuggly and warm whilst smelling this fresh scent. This alongside Chilly Millie are the two bath blasters I want the most and you can probably see why!

Bath Creamers – Both £2.09 each!

Drop Mr Frosty into a warm bath and watch him melt, softly giving up his Cocoa and Shea butters and Rose essential oils. With a warming, satisfying hot chocolate fragrance for cold winter nights.

Mr Frosty Bath Creamer.

This bath creamer sounds so delicious and amazing and an added bonus is that it looks really cute too! The bath creamers contain cocoa butter so they’ll leave your skin feeling lovely and soft, as well as leaving you smelling gorgeous! Mr Frosty will be perfect for chocaholics and children and as I love sweet scents, the chocolate  and caramalised sugar in this bath creamer will make this perfect for evenings when I feel a treat but I’m trying to be good. I’d feel bad when using this one mind, look how cute he looks! If I really like this one I can see me stocking up, as these just sound so delicious!

Our little robin has two fragrances (greedy!), his cute little face is raspberry ripple and his brown feathers are double choc chip for a sumptuous feast for the senses! Rich cocoa butter and Shea butter will nourish and moisturise.

Robin the Rich Bath Creamer.

I love robin’s so the fact that Bath Cosmetics have a bath creamer to resemble one, is the cutest thing! As well as that, he’s also got a lovely scent to him. This cute little guy also contains cocoa butter so he’ll make sure you’re lovely and soft whilst making you smell of dark chocolate and raspberries. This is the sort of thing I would use when I’m feeling like something extra sweet and when it’s chilly outside too. This one sounds super delicious and is at the top of my wish list for how it sounds, as well as how cute he looks! I could see me buying this little fella for people, he’s so appealing, especially for children.

Bath Mallows, Bath Brulee & Bath Buttercup -Prices mentioned after each product.

A delicate cranberry and pomegranate snowflake, drifting down from the heavens, landing crisp and clean, untouched by any but angels, clasping pure essential ylang ylang oil to it’s heavenly bosom, and filled with the skin love only pure natural butters can bring.

Snowflakes on your Tongue Bath Mallow – £2.24.

I love the name of this bath mallow, I remember one year at school our teacher got us all out to look at the snowflakes and learn about them for a lesson. We all stuck out our tongues to try and catch the snowflakes, which is what you did as a child… Mmm dirty solid rain water… Anyhoo this bath mallow is nothing but clean and yummy smelling and is something that sounds conditioning for the skin too. It also looks gorgeous with it’s pink and white colours, as well as a cute little snowflakes on the top. This one is very fruity and contains cranberry, raspberry, cassis, plum, peach, red apple and finally vanilla. This is a very warming bath mallow and would be perfect for evenings before going to bed, as the vanilla would relax you. I really like the sound of this one and I think it’s something a mature woman would really enjoy.

Maybe the robin has been attracted by the scent of winter pomegranate, who knows? Maybe it’s the pure Sweet Orange and Lemongrass oils or the shea butter captured within? All we know is it’s called Robin’s nest.

Robin’s Nest Bath Brulee – £3.49.

How could I not resist this? I mean look at the cute little robin at the top, it looks like he’s playing in the snow or something. This is a cute little bath brulee and yes it’s a tad on the expensive side for £3.49 each BUT this is a re usable bath product and can be used up to 6 times in the bath. All you do is pop it in your bath, give it a bit of a swirl, or two if you’re feeling generous and pull it back out, leaving it on the side to dry before storing it away. But never mind that, onto the product itself! This contains pomegranate, sweet orange and lemongrass to give you that wonderful uplifting citrus scent, as well as some shea butter in there to condition and moisturise your skin while you bathe. This would be something I’d use in the mornings before tacking any busy Christmas rush, whether it be for shopping or just going out in the afternoon or evening and with the cute little robin on top, it’ll cheer me up too.

This apparently is Santa’s and Mr Frosty’s favourite bath time treat. Dosed liberally with Frankincense and Myrrh essential oils to give a little Xmas sparkle.

Snowcone Bath Buttercup – £2.09.

How cute is this little Santa cupcake? Adorable right?! This little guy sounds like bath creamers and as they are the same price, maybe it is but just in a cupcake style instead of a ball… Who knows but I know one thing, this stuff sounds amazing! Like Oh Xmas Tree! Bath Blaster it contains apple and cinnamon so these two bath products hand in hand could go swimmingly! Due to this being practically the same as Oh Xmas Tree! whether I’d buy one of these or not, I’m unsure but I suppose if I wanted something that would condition the skin more, I wouldn’t see the harm in picking one of these up.

I can see me buying some of these products as soon as possible and as I have a stockist near me, I’ll be popping down during the week at some point to see what I can pick up! Don’t forget all that I’m writing this post up late October, so by the time this is live, I could have bought and tried most of these products!

If sadly you don’t have a Bomb Cosmetics stockist near you, worry not as you buy online at bombcosmetics.co.uk and I hear the staff on there are lovely if you ever have any queries. I know they are over on their Twitter page anyhoo!

So, that was my wish list! Have you seen anything from my wish list, or from Bomb Cosmetics Christmas range that you would like yourself? Let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all.
