Wish List Wednesday – Work/Office Wear

I don’t feel like I’ve done a wish list Wednesday for ages and I’ve really missed doing it! Expect loads with Christmas coming up, as I’ll be working on present ideas for all sorts, which I should be teaming up with Sarah over at Raiin Monkey to do some posts on!

With my new job I recently went on a mini shopping trip to pick up some bits and pieces as I had pretty much sod all! You can read about what I picked up here. I’m already craving some new pieces though and I won’t be able to grab anything for a while, so I thought I would take the opportunity to do a wish list of what goodies I want.

  • New Look Black Velvet Skater Skirt – £12.99 (link)

On my recent haul I picked up the normal black skater skirt and it’s so comfortable so now I want the velvet version! It’ll definitely be really nice to wear throughout the winter, especially with a nice mustard jumper and a red shirt. It’s also a really decent price too, which you can’t moan about!

  • Killstar Wicca Flats – £44.99 (link)

I don’t really need a new pair of flats as I have a pretty much brand new pair that I bought for my graduation 2 years ago! Now I wear them for work and they’re okay, but they’re not the best to be honest. They’re a little bit too big for me and I can’t drive in them. I want a new pair of flats to just wear casually anyway in and outside of work and I’ve had my eyes on these for a while! I won’t be paying full price for them as for flats they’re really expensive, but if they’re on offer I’ll soon pick them up.

  • Her Universe Studio Ghibli Kiki’s Delivery Service Jiji & Lili Town Pattern Blouse – $44.90, currently $35.92 (link)

This is a brand I’ve recently discovered and it’s so damn amazing! I’d know about it through Hot Topic for a while but never realised it was a brand until I was gathering items for this post. It was actually Vikki over at Cuteek who linked me to Her Universe when I was asking on Twitter about work clothing. There really are some great pieces for work on the website and I wish I could afford this shirt right now. One day it WILL be mine! It’s part of the Studio Ghibli designs and this one is of the cats Jiji and Lili Town from Kiki’s Delivery Service. This was one of the first Studio Ghibli movies I watched so I have a place in my heart for Kiki and Jiji. This shirt would be really nice to wear with a black skater skirt and boots.

  • Killstar Santeria Distress Knit Tunic – £49.99, currently £24.99 (link)

Another Killstar item and this one is a knitted tunic. Killstar do gothic pieces, some of them can definitely be wearable and this is one of them. It’s just a basic tunic pretty much but it looks so snug and comfortable! I’d team it with leggings and boots or flats. I wish I could grab it whilst it’s on sale, but sadly I doubt I’ll be able to. This being said though, this has been on sale for quite some time, so fingers crossed! My only concern with this is I would worry the knit wouldn’t feel nice to the touch, I’d hate that so much!

  • EMP Jawbreaker Fishnet Collar Dress – £41.99 (link)

This dress is so expensive and it makes my bank account hurt. BUT it’s also gorgeous and definitely the style I’ve been after for my new job… Just with normal sleeves instead of fishnet. I’m not going to complain though as it’s gorgeous! I will wait for it to drop in price though as for what it is, nearly £42 is a bit too much for my liking, but again when this goes in the sale I’ll definitely pick it up!

  • Hot Topic Her Universe Studio Ghibli Spirited Away Confetti Wrap Dress – $49.90, currently $39.92 (link)

Another Studio Ghibli piece by Her Universe and it’s one I would love to have for work! My favourite Studio Ghibli film and one of my favourite films is Spirited Away so anything to do with that film is always something I want to own if I can. I’d love to be able to own a dress with Haku on as he’s my favourite, but I love No Face just as much! Like the Kiki’s Delivery shirt, it would be lovely to be able to wear a piece like this for work and on days off to show my love of the Studio Ghibli movies.

  • Sainsbury’s TU Navy Checked Print Wide Leg Trousers – £20.00 (link)

I actually came across these on one of my work breaks last week! I was looking for some plain t-shirts to pick up for work as Sainbury’s do some really nice ones for good prices! Instead I ended up finding these tartan looking trousers, which are wide leg. They’re elasticated like the houndstooth ones I picked up from New Look, so I definitely need them in my life! I’d team these with a cream or mustard yellow jumper.

So those are the pieces I’ve been eyeing up to buy for work! I know it sounds incredibly sad, but I’m still so happy with my new job and I know it’s going to be so dangerous now I can wear my own uniform! I can wear nice clothes, so it’s going to be a constant excuse for me to buy a pretty dress. 😛

Do you work in an office? If so where do you get your pieces for work? Please leave me links below as I would love some ideas of where to shop for things!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you week is going well!

Work Wear/Office Haul

If someone had of told me 6 months ago that I would be writing this sort of post I would fast tell them to shut up. I am so excited to write this post and it would have been up sooner, but due to being bust it’s a tad behind (3 days to be exact…).

I recently went on a mini shopping spree to grab some essential pieces for my new job (which you can read all about here!) and I’m so pleased with what I managed to get.

The three places I shopped at were Primark, New Look and Peacocks, most of my purchases were from Primark. I’m also including a few older pieces in here that I’ll be wearing for my new job too. 1. Because the wonderful Vikki over at Cuteek wanted to see one of the dresses and 2. I didn’t pick up any dresses for my new job (yet) so I thought I’d show what ones I have for it at the moment. I also didn’t pick up any shoes so I’ll be showing off two pairs I already own. AND I have a shirt I picked up from M&S just before my holiday that I want to show off too, as it’s one of the best shirts I’ve ever owned.

I also have a cardigan I’ve ordered but as that hasn’t arrived yet, I’ll be using a stock photo.

As well as showing off what items I bought, where from and prices I’ll also be showing off how I’ll style pieces together.

Let’s get on with the haul!

  • Primark Supersoft Jumper in the colours cream, mustard yellow, red and dark grey – £6.00 each.

I love, love, LOVE these jumpers so damn much! I picked the mustard yellow one up nearly a month ago and have worn it quite a bit since then. I haven’t yet worn it for work, but I’ve teamed this up outside of work with my denim shorts, as well as black skinny fit jeans. I wore the red one for work on my first day with the black skater skirt I picked up from New Look and it looked lovely. These jumpers are so damn comfortable and don’t feel tight. If anything they feel slightly baggy on the sleeves, which I love as I have shy hands and love to cover them up. I especially love the button detailing on the shoulders. These are available in a wide range of colours! If there were certain colours I really wanted them they were cobalt blue, burgundy and dark green.

  • Primark Red, black and white Floral Shirt – £7.00.

I didn’t have many high hopes for this shirt when I took it to the changing rooms to try on, but it actually really surprised me and I knew straight away that I would be buying it. That and £7?! BARGAIN! It’s a gorgeous vintage looking shirt and one I have tried on with both trousers and skirt and looks amazing with both. The only issue I had with it when tucking it into the skirt was that it left a bit of a bulge underneath my bust, which made me look fat/pregnant. When I tried this on and didn’t tuck it in it didn’t show off my bust through the buttons etc, but when I tucked it into the skirt it did just this, as well as the bulge, so I can see this being worn mostly with trousers. With one pair that I bought (houndstooth print) they look very vintage together, which I really like. They did have another shirt for £7.00, which was white and navy vertical stripes with pink/red roses on. I was half tempted to pick it up, but decided not to as it wasn’t really my sort of thing.

  • New Look Black Mini Skater Skirt – £12.99 (link)

I was looking everywhere for a black skater skirt for work as I used to own one from Topshop many moons ago, but due to washing it so much it’s kind of shrunk and it definitely isn’t something I wanted to wear around the office due to that. The member of staff in the New Look store I visited was so lovely. Even though they only had 2 skirts on the shop floor (neither in my size!) she still had a look on the system for me to see if they had anymore in the back in my size, they had 1 left! I was chuffed and tried it on with some of the pieces I picked up from Primark. I wore this skirt on my first day with my red Primark jumper and I felt so comfortable and confident! My only issue with it is it feels a tad short for my linking, but I think I was wearing it too high at the same time. I intend to wear this skirt loads at my new job and when I get paid and have some spare cash I want to pick up another one. I can’t wait to wear my skirts with this, as well as my mustard yellow and cream jumper!

  • New Look Black Check Tapered Trousers – £19.99 (link)

I knew that I wanted some trousers like this for the job as soon as I found out I got it. I’ve always wanted a pair like this but have never been a job where I could wear them until now. I decided to try these ones on as they have an elasticated waist band, a bloated girl on her period DREAM PAIR OF TROUSERS! These are high-waisted, which I didn’t know until I got home and had a look on the New Look website to show someone. I’ll definitely wear these both normal and high-waisted with shirts, t-shirts and jumpers. I doubt I’d wear socks with them and would just wear my flats. I am anxious to wear these as I worry they’ll look daft, but whatever, you only live once and THEY’RE ELASTICATED!

  • Peacocks Womens Bistretch Bootcut Trousers – £9.00 (currently £7.20 online only) (link)

Since back in the day when I worked at Costa I have always sworn by Peacocks smart trousers for work. They’re comfortable, come in all sorts of sizes and styles and are affordable! I paid the normal £9.00 price for these as I picked them up in store and I ended up getting my usual long leg, as well as a regular leg. I tried on my size and although they felt fine, I actually went for a size up so that they were a little baggy. I’ve had to deal with nearly 2 years of uncomfortable (but tolerable) smart trousers and I don’t want to anymore if I can help it! I’ll wear these with all sorts to be honest!

  • EMP Yuri!!! On Ice Logo Cardigan – £41.99 (Currently reduced to £24.99) (link)

This is a cardigan that I’ve been eyeing up for ages and I don’t know why but I nearly paid the full price for it! I think I had a 10% voucher available to use alongside it, BUT I’m so glad I waited. This recently went into the sale and as well as that EMP brought out an extra 15% code so I saved an extra £3.00 something! I loved Yuri!!! On Ice when it came out and me and my best friend both love it. She’s also ordered this cardigan so we can be twinsies. 😛 I’ll probably feel odd and out of place wearing this in the office, but I don’t care! I’d team it up with trousers or skirt and a white top (long or short sleeved). To be honest, I’d soon snuggle up in this at home too.

  • H! By Henry Holland Fox Dress – (previously spoken about here).

I LOVE this dress and it’s actually the dress I wore for my interview for the job. I decided to go for this as I love foxes and felt it would leave a lasting impression with the company, which it obviously did! This is the dress that Vikki over at Cuteek wanted to see! It’s a gorgeous black skater dress with foxes all over. It’s one I always reach for for special nights out, birthdays and now for office wear! I want another dress like this but I can’t seem to find one anywhere. 😦

  • Daisy Dress (So old that I can’t remember where it’s from 100%).

I’ve owned this dress for years and I mean years! It’s been so long that the shop I originally bought it from a clothing store that went into administration… I think it was called Republic… Either way this dress has always been one I’ve gone back to time and time again and I’m pretty sure it’ll be worn to death at my new job as well!

So that’s my haul of what goodies I’ve picked up for my new job! I hope to pick up some more stuff in the future as there’s loads more bits and pieces I wish to pick up.

I’ll be doing a wish list post next week of more stuff I would like to get in future, both clothing and office stationary items I’d love to have on my future desk.

If you work in an office where do you shop for your clothes? Make sure to let me know in the comments as I would love more places to find new pieces at!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week so far.

A Holiday Haul!

I’m sure I mentioned time and time again the past month (or two…) that I would write a holiday haul post when I’d bought all the goodies I wanted for my holiday. It now looks like I’ve bought all the goodies I’ll want (and need for that matter…) for my holiday IN LESS THAN A MONTHS TIME! Oh my, the days, weeks and months have gone by so damn quickly.

I’m not going to lie, I am hella excited for my holiday, but I’m also really nervous all at the same time. I know for a fact I won’t want to come home.

Anyway, I decided to be naughty as soon as pay day hit this month and bought myself quite a few bits and pieces for the holiday… As well as to wear in the UK as and when appropriate… I kind of used the holiday as an excuse to buy things. 😛

I don’t think I’ll be buying anything else for “the holiday” (hahaha :P) but if I do I can always make a second post about that! The only other thing(s) I can see me buying is a new bra for the dress I bought (you’ll see what I mean when I show it off) and maybe a choker.

Right, enough waffle. On with the haul! I’ll talk about things in the order I bought/received them.

  • Sixty Seven Silver Tone Holographic Sliders (no longer available).

Oh sliders, such ugly sandals when covered in fur and pom poms. I’m not a huge fan of wearing sandals, flip flips etc and more than not often opt for Vans when on holiday due to how comfortable and lightweight they are. However, I had a little thing for sliders this year… The none fluffy variety, of course! I had a look everywhere for a holographic pair but couldn’t find a single thing and when I did SEEM to find something decent it was stupidly priced or the colours were a little off.

As I do at least once a week I had a nosey over on TK Maxx and found these beauties! I waited a while to order them, but as sizes below and above my own started to sell out I knew I needed to get on it and get my pair ordered! These cost me £12.99 and retail for £33.99. WOW! They’re amazing though and I’m so glad I bought them! They’re really sturdy and feel like they’ll last a long time. The holographic is sort of matte in colour and doesn’t look too shiny, which I like. They’re not 100% comfortable to be honest and I find they’re rubbing a little on the top of my foot, but I’m hoping this is just them breaking in.

I plan to wear these both in the daytime and the evenings. Everything I’ll be showing off in this video what I bought I’ll probably wear with these sliders. I have to say I hate that they’re called sliders… I know why they are but I dislike it so damn much! I can’t wait to rock these to the beach in my matching bikini! 😛

My camera just wasn’t playing ball with me when trying to take pictures! It looks pretty cool though and shows off all the colours of the glitter really well. 😛

  • Topshop Black Glitter Skater Skirt (no longer available).

I’ve been in need of a new skater skirt for quite a long time now but I just haven’t really seen anything I’ve liked. My previous skater skirt was from Topshop so I decided to have a look on their website for an upgrade, sadly I found nothing. I looked around various high street stores for a while and I remembered the one place I hadn’t even looked for a new skirt, a Topshop one at least. eBay, my holy grail and first place I often look for things I want at a decent price. I found this Topshop skater skirt straight away and I fell in love! It was bidding and considering there was only 2 of us bidding on it, it started on 99p and I did a ninja and bidded with 5 seconds left, I won. I only paid about £2.50 for this including postage.

It’s really gorgeous black skirt with pink, blue gold and silver pieces of glitter running throughout it. It’s a lightweight skirt which is nice as it doesn’t feel heavy at all when wearing it. I’m also glad to say that the glitter is embedded into the skirt itself so when wearing, washing, etc no glitter bits will shed anywhere. I don’t know how much the skirt originally retailed for, but knowing Topshop probably £20-£30.

I’m just so pleased I picked this skirt up as it’s amazing! It does make my bum look bigger than it actually is though due to the way it hangs and I’m not sure if I like this or not. It can be worn as a high-waisted skirt or normal. With my new crop top (which I’ll be talking about last) it looks gorgeous and works really well. If anything it has finally given me the push and courage to wear more crop tops. 🙂

  • Pretty Little Thing Anaiya Multi Tie Dye Denim Short (available here).

Urgh. Just getting this out there that if you have read my recent blog post you’ll know how annoyed at am at Pretty Little Thing and how I don’t recommend them. If you haven’t, here is the link.

That aside I love these shorts, even if they are a little on the snug side. They’re high-waisted denim shorts with a tie dye affect on them. Although not 100% they do have rainbow colors on them. You can see where they originally dyed them blue, pink and yellow only for the colours to run to create green, purple and orange. They look amazing and very eye catching! They’re distressed too which I love, all over the front of the legs and a little on the one back pocket. The pockets in these are really big and deep, which I love! Means you can keep a phone and money on you if you don’t want to carry a bag around.

I’ll be rocking these with my crop top, as well as various t-shirts tucked into it. I tried on one of my black long sleeved t-shirts and I loved how it looked! I’m tempted to take said t-shirt on holiday so I can wear it in the evenings. I’d wear it with either my pair of Star Wars or 101 Dalmatians Vans. Maybe even my DC high tops. I’ll see what shoes I decide to take with me closer to the time. I’ve even looked at wearing my chunky 90’s looking heels, but I’m not sure if I will or not yet.

I know they’re very bright to wear in the UK throughout the whole year (come on let’s face it, our summer lasts all of a week…) BUT I will wear these throughout the year over here. I’ll rock them with band tees, tights and Dr Martens boots for a grunge look. If anything, I can’t wait to when I’m back from holiday! 😛

  • Boohoo Manhattan Hologram Triangle Tie Bikini (available here).

I didn’t need a new bikini and in the end I bought two. Shit. For this holiday I have noticed a pattern of me lusting after things that are either holographic, mermaid scale print or turquoise sequins. This obviously caught my eye (like the little magpie I am…) when browsing around Boohoo. It’s a bog standard triangle bikini BUT OMG IT’S HOLOGRAPHIC AND SHINY AND PRETTY AND OMG! Breathe Nat, breathe.

You can’t go wrong with holographic and when it comes to a hot country where the sun is out most of the time, you definitely can’t go wrong! This is the bikini I’ll wear when tanning on the balcony. It’s the tie at the sides for the bottoms and at the neck and back for the top. As I said, bog standard.

These are still available on the Boohoo website as well as another here which is holographic too. I was tempted to order this one instead/as well as the one I bought but meh. Don’t need ALL THE BIKINIS! xD

I am seriously in love with this picture since taking it!

  • Killstar Pheadra Skater Dress (available here).

The day that Killstar launched this dress for sale on their website I KNEW I had to have it. I’m a massive fan of Killstar and my love of them has grown dramatically this past year. I want NO NEED to own more pieces by Killstar!

This is a skater dress with a mermaid print on, and a pentagram strappy back. This IS NOT a dress I would wear in the daytime, only in the evening when the sun isn’t out and at risk of tanning the pentagram shape into my back. I do not want. 😛 The pictures of this dress don’t do it justice. To me it just looks turquoise on the website but when it arrived I noticed that in the light the dress will shift and go a purple shade. Also as you can see it has a mermaid pattern on it. Oh Nat, you and those mermaid scales! I do like the smaller scales though and it makes a change from the bigger ones I rock on Black Milk Clothing pieces.

My only issue with this dress is I feel it’s too big… But I worry the size down would be too small… Also as amazing as the pentagram shape is on the back, it isn’t practical at all when wearing a bra. As of yet I haven’t got myself a new bra to wear with it yet… I hope I can get one before the holiday.

I know it sounds stupid because with a back like that you’d want to show off the dress, wouldn’t you? Alas this dress actually looks better with a jacket or cardigan over the top. In fact it looks so cute teamed up with my burgundy cardigan! Who’d have thought? I can’t wait to wear this throughout the year in the UK. I’ll definitely have to wear Dr Martens or brothel creepers. 😛

  • Killstar Arabella Halter Top (available here) and Posing Shorts (available here).

The same brand and the same print as the Killstar Pheadra dress. I couldn’t resist not getting this top and shorts. I don’t 100% know if you can swim in them, but damn I’ll give it a go! Nah if anything these won’t be for tanning in due to the top being the way it is, but more for popping out to the beach in for a walk with the shorts or even a pair of shorts over the top. I also wanted to pick these up for pole dancing in as I think they’d be gorgeous!

I do feel a little self conscious in this set due to how out there it is, but at the same time I actually feel really good about my body! I ordered both the top and shorts in the same size as I ordered the dress and whilst I don’t feel they’re too big, I do worry that the top part is a little baggy. I think I just need to get used to the style of it. I plan to try it on a few times at home before we leave for our holiday. I’d gladly wear this with shorts or a skirt with a little jacket over the top for if it’s chilly.

  • Black Milk Clothing Mermemerald Crop Top (no longer available).

Finally we have my last piece of clothing I bought in this haul and to be honest it’s by far my favourite! Everyone knows it, I love Black Milk Clothing and I especially love their mermaid printed pieces. I now own 3 mermaid pieces, including this new addition!

This is a size up from what I usually buy from Black Milk but it doesn’t matter as it fits lovely. It’s the Mermemerald crop top and guess what? It’s discontinued and now a museum item SO IT’S WORTH A FORTUNE! I picked this up second hand off of eBay for about £24.00, which I’m really chuffed about.

I didn’t expect it to be such a bright green when I took it out of the packaging though, but I adore it. At first when I tried it on I put it on the wrong way around. When I worked it out though and put it on properly I just fell in love. I paired it with my shorts, which looked amazing and then I paired it with my skater skirt. A part of me died and went to heaven for how lovely the two looked together. I haven’t felt all that great about my body the past month and more so the past week so to feel confident and nice about myself, I’m so happy. Black Milk seems to always have that affect on me. 😛

I already know I’m going to be wearing this most evenings when out with Dane for drinks and even for a day of shopping! I can’t wait to wear this back at home though to be honest. It’s such a stunning piece and when the weather is crap and gloomy over here, I can see this perking me up. It shifts from green to turquoise in the right light. How amazing!

One of my favourite pictures I’ve taken for such a long time! FYI I’m covering my face because I had some nasty zits on my cheek. YUCK! xD

PLZ DO NOT LOOK IN THE BIN. Nothing in there to hide, but still! xD

I was going to try and merge these four pictures in with the items themselves but it would have just been a mess… Sort of. SO I thought I would add said pictures at the end of the post, so you can see how I would wear some of the pieces together, as well as with other items. 😀

So that is everything I picked up for my holiday! I have so much more crap that I could buy and a part of me still wants to pick up a few more things to grunge up my outfits in the evenings. A choker being the main thing right now really. We shall see…

Have you guys been on your holidays yet? Where did you go?

Also, are there any items in this post YOU own or want to? Let me know all your thoughts and answers in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and I hope your weeks are going well so far.

Sales Haul!

DSC_0269

As most of us have probably done, I went sales shopping after Christmas! I wasn’t at all tempted to try and hit the sales on Boxing Day and I wouldn’t have been able to anyway, as I went to my boyfriends Gran’s with his family for a party. Either way we hit the shops last Saturday and bloody hell it was frustrating! Not the shops may I add, the parking!

We went to Merry Hill as we wanted to go to Nando’s for dinner after shopping and I knew all too well how bad The Bullring can be for sales shopping, so I suggested Merry Hill. As my boyfriend is from Coventry he didn’t knew what to expect as he had never been to Merry Hill before and for what he seen of it for the first time, parking wise, I felt somewhat sorry for him.

It only took us 20 minutes to drive there, but to park it took an extra and therefore necessary 20 minutes! I was about to give up and drive us back home when all of a sudden we found a space in one of the tower car parks and I quickly zoomed into it before anyone else has the nerve to steal MY spot. We parked, got ourselves ready and ventured to the shops!

I have to add I was extremely disappointed with what shops are offering in sales for the majority this year and the only thing I actually managed to pick up in the sale that was on my list was one of the diaries I picked up.

DSC_0270

We visited two Calendar Club stands in Merry Hill, the first one I wasn’t able to find the Simon’s Cat diary and instead I bought this cute fox one instead, because everyone knows how much I love foxes! It’s an organiser that has loads of various sections inside of it. This is going to be kept in my handbag for my hours of work, my photography business that you’ll be reading about soon, as well as any other dates I need to know and such. Originally it was £7.99 but I snapped it up for £4.79, total bargain!

When I ventured to the other Calendar Club stand I found that they had one Simon’s Cat diary left and I quickly snapped it up with both hands before someone else came to take it away! It was £8.99 but I snapped it up for the bargain price of £5.39! I nearly bought this on eBay for over £9.00, so I’m really glad I didn’t! This diary I’ll keep in the house but my bed, like I have done with all my previous Simon’s Cat diaries! This is probably my third or fourth Simon’s Cat diary now. I’m not obsessed!

DSC_0271

Sorry to show these off to my lovely readers but I bought myself some gorgeous knickers from Ann Summers to match the bra that I bought in November. These were originally £14.00 but I got them in the sale for £8.00. As my boyfriend and I walked around Ann Summers I began to wonder if they were too much but he persuaded me to buy them (I wonder why!). But either way these are gorgeous and everyone woman loves a gorgeous lingerie set. I did have a look at the other items in Ann Summers sale and whilst some were nice, I wasn’t overly impressed, although my boyfriend and I did both see something we liked the look of, but sadly they didn’t have my size left and by the looks of things have sold out online too. Sad times.

I’ve always loved Element clothing since a young age, but I’ve only ever owned one t-shirt by them and that was a huge large t-shirt with one of Bam Margera’s designs on the front. I only wear this for bed! Either way since meeting my boyfriend he has introduced me to shops that sell Element clothing for women and one of these is Two Seasons. We had a look on Merry Hill’s website to delightfully discover that they had a Two Seasons shop there and as we walked around we spotted it and went in for a look. The women’s section was TINY but when I asked one of the shop assistants why this was, she told me that it was a massive section, at least half of the store but due to the sale they’d sold most of the women’s clothing and had to make it smaller so that the shop didn’t look bare. Seems like a logical reason! I found two Element t-shirts to try on and upon doing so I ended up buying this t-shirt! It’s a gorgeous crimson red and is a size large, which is too big for me but it was the only size left and at the moment I like that baggy look and this tucked into a skirt or with some skinny fit jeans will look great any time of the year! I’m probably going to wear this on New Years Day with some skinny fit jeans and a boyfriend cardigan. This was originally £20, but was reduced to £10 which I thought was a bargain! On Two Seasons website this is still for sale at its original price. Two Seasons have some amazing stuff in their sale for both women and men, so go and check it out if you like this sort of clothing.

BTW as well as seeing this t-shirt in the store, I saw a gorgeous Solomon snowboarding helmet that I may buy in the near future! I just hope the next time I pop into Two Seasons that I can find this helmet again as it was a steal at just £55! I tried on the one on show and it fit me perfectly. I just wish I had more money or I would have bought it there and then.

DSC_0275

I knew I wanted to pop into Topshop whilst we were at Merry Hill as their sale is usually great and I always find something good in store as well as online. I was in search of some new jeans and maybe a jacket but when I had no luck with either I was tempted to leave the store, but I hadn’t had a good look through the clothing so I sifted through each item and low and behold, I found this gorgeous black skater skirt! There were a couple there one in the size I bought and one a size up from this. The one I bought said on the label that it was £15.00, but the one a size up said £10.00. So I asked one of the customer service assistants if she could check how much it was and to my delight she came back over and told me it was coming up as £10.00 on the till! I didn’t want to worry that the skirt may not fit me if I didn’t try it on, so I went over to the changing rooms and tried i on. It’s a very thick skirt which will make it perfect for autumn and winter and was originally £28.00! I knew I had to have it and took it straight to the check out. This was probably my favourite purchase of the day as it was just a great find and for an even greater price! I know I’ll wear this loads during the rest of winter, maybe even during spring and I know I’ll wear it with all sorts too, so that £10.00 will go a long way!

After this we ventured to Nando’s for some dinner. My boyfriend received a £20.00 voucher for Christmas so he decided to use it on us. We bought a whole chicken to share with large peri salt fries and two drinks. We enjoyed our food and after this wandered off to HMV to grab some DVD’s to watch for the night, which were both Studio Ghibli films as we both fancied watching some anime.

As we were walking out of Merry Hill we walked past Build A Bear and I’ve never seen my boyfriend so excited! He’s never made a Build A Bear before and I think it’s one of his goals now to go and make one. Upon going inside for a look we joyfully discovered that you can make a Red Panda! We both love Red Panda’s and it’s what my boyfriend reminds me of as he’s ginger and when we first got together I dyed half his hair black, with his permission of course!

So we have both said that soon we shall be going into Build A Bear to make one of those together. I’m excited!

This wasn’t a sale buy but I wanted to show it! This was one of the things I was after in the sales, as online Game have this in their sale but not in store… What the hell is with that!? On the way home we ventured to Tesco to buy some food to have for lunch the next day and as I went to the toilet my boyfriend popped this into the basket and offered to buy it for me. It cost £25 and it was lovely that he bought it for me as he said he knew how much I’d wanted it and he wanted to play it too.

My boyfriend has really spoilt me since we got together and I just wish I had more money so that I could spoil him back.

On the Sunday we played this all day and when he went home I finished off the level I was on and I won’t continue to play it until he’s back here for New Year’s Day as I want him to see what happens in the story. If he had a PS3 I would lend it him, but alas, he’s a 360 owner…

So that’s all I picked up in the sales! I have ordered a few pieces in the sales, one is a dress and one are some new skate shoes as my Mom said it was about time I get some new ones. My Vans that I wear pretty much most of the time alongside my Chelsea boots are nearly 10 years old and when it rains my feet tend to get wet. Although I have ordered these, my Mom is giving me the money for them as she’s offered to buy them me for my birthday, bless her!

Those will be shown off in a birthday present post mind.

So, what did you pick up in the sales? Let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all!

November Wish List

I can’t believe that there are only two more months of 2013 before we enter a New Year… It’s gone by really quickly, hasn’t it? It’ll be Christmas soon, which I’m sort of excited for, but that’s a whole other post!

So, seeing as I did a wish list last month, I’ve decided to do one this month too! There’s loads of stuff I really want this month and I suppose whatever I don’t get my hands on, I’ll be asking for Christmas… Maybe, anyway.

As well as that I’m going to be a busy bee during November with the NaNoWriMo challenge, so my blog will still be running, as well as me writing updates for you all every Friday of how I’m doing with my novel, word count, etc!

Anyhoo, on with the wish list!

November Wish List

  • Black Fox Knee High Socks from Topshop – £6.00

Okay now these say on the website that they are out of stock, but this is the second time they’ve said this, so I am hoping that they’ll come back in stock asap! I love these socks and as regular readers will know, I love foxes so much and if I see anything with a fox on and it looks nice, I’ll usually buy it. Last month I spoke about a fox jumper from New Look, which I ended up buying in the sale, as well as it being featured on a what I wore post in October, which you can check out here. As these socks are knee-high, I’d be more inclined to wear them around the house with a pair of shorts and/or with a baggy t-shirt. If I wore them under my trousers it would be to keep my legs warm during the winter. I haven’t owned a pair of knee-high socks since I was 16 and those were typical black and red striped ones… How very punk of me! I do hope these come back in stock, as soon as they do, I’m ordering them.

  • Ciaté Red Velvet Manicure Set from John Lewis – £14.00

I saw The Sunday Girl reviewed this on her blog in October and I really do like the ideas Ciaté come up with for their manicure sets and I’ve wanted to own one myself for quite a while now. I love Red Velvet cake and pretty much anything that has its name. I love my Red Velvet Yankee Candle and I’ll be burning that over the rest of the year, hopefully buying myself a new jar in the New Year too. But the idea of this manicure set is to leave your nails looking velvety and pretty and red is a great colour for the winter season, as well as the Christmas period. Now this is just a personal thing but I HATE wearing red nail polish on my nails. Why? Because it actually makes me look like a transvestite, just like wearing make up does too. I know that sounds mean but I really do look like a man when I wear a full face of make up and red nails and I’d prefer to stay away from looking that way… Ha! That rhymed! However, I reckon due to this manicure’s unique velvet looking effect, I reckon I could get away with this red manicure and not look the way I feel I do when I wear red on my nails. This is an exclusive manicure set for John Lewis, so if you want to get your hands on this too, here’s the link for you. Again, I rhymed, double ha!

  • Illamasqua Freak Scarab 75ml EDP – £85.00

I wrote about Illamasqua’s new perfume release on this (post) in late October and I can’t express once again how excited I was about this when I heard about it on their YouTube channel. When the actual scent was unveiled with details about the notes for this scent, as well as what the bottle would look like I knew I needed to smell it as soon as possible! At £85 for a 75ml bottle, I’m not 100% sure if I’ll be purchasing this yet, as I would prefer a small 30ml bottle to go with my little Illamasqua Freak bottle that I already own (and need another bottle of stat!). I can’t wait to get my hands on this scent, it sounds so yummy and unique, like Freak.

  • MAC Lipstick in Speak Louder – £15.00

I’ve wanted to swatch this lipstick since the summer but every time I went to a MAC counter to do just that, I forgot the name of the lipstick and thus ended up leaving the counter disappointed and feeling rather silly. Eventually I remembered the name and swatched it in October. The colour of this lipstick is described as a clean poppy blue pink, which is pretty accurate. I don’t own a shade like this and as it’s a cremesheen finish too, it’ll look and feel lovely on my lips throughout the cold winter season, especially around Christmas time. I can see me buying myself this as a treat in one of Debenhams special deals online, which I have mentioned on my MAC lipstick reviews before. I know I would wear Speak Louder quite a lot, especially to work as it’s a wearable colour for any occasion.

  • MONTH Chelsea Boots from Topshop – £45.00

I saw these featured on quite a few beauty and fashion blogs during October and I can see why so many women are loving them. They’re gorgeous chelsea boots and yes they are expensive but upon looking at them myself, they’re worth every penny! I’ve never owned a pair of chelsea boots and at the start of the year I was after a pair, but nowhere and I mean NOWHERE was stocking them, so I gave up the thought of owning a pair and stuck with my Dr Martens boots and my Vans skater shoes instead to get me through the cold until spring. However they’re back again this autumn and winter and I’m rather glad. Everywhere is stocking these boots at the moment but none of them look as good as these ones from Topshop. I contemplated buying a cheap £10 pair from Primark to see me through until I could afford this pair, but I decided against it, I may as well save that £10 towards these boots instead. I know I’ll be buying these by December as I have so many looks I want to create with them. I worry though that these will replace my Dr Martens boots, but then I realise that they won’t and if anything, they’ll be replacing my creepers, which are too cold to wear during the colder months. I actually can’t wait to get these boots and they’re probably the number 1 thing on this list I want.

  • Flared Skater Skirt in Wine from eBay – £4.99 + £2.99 P+P

One of my friends bought this skirt recently off of eBay and after her posting a picture of her wearing it on Instagram, I fell in love, knowing I needed one myself for autumn and winter. I love wine and burgundy colours and this will go perfect with the chelsea boots I want, as well as the punk Disney Alice In Wonderland sweater that I have in this wish list, which will be spoken about underneath this item.  This would also look great with my pleather spiked jacket, as well as my navy military coat. eBay can be a bit risky sometimes with clothes, bags, shoes etc as before now I’ve bought a bag from an eBay seller and within just a month of use it’s started to rip, which really is a shame but I know for just under £8.00 for this skirt, I wouldn’t be losing a lot of money if it ripped and as I was taught how to sew from a young age, I’m sure any minor rip or tear, would fix this no problem. I reckon I’d wear this loads during winter, as with a good coat, thick leggings and boots I’d be toasty warm!

  • Punk Disney Alice In Wonderland Sweater from eBay/Twisted Apparel – £25.99 + Free P+P

Funny story behind this sweater, but also a great one! I got a random follow on Twitter from Twisted Apparel and whilst most follows from online clothes stores on Twitter piss me off, this one was rather pleasant as their clothes are amazing and I haven’t wanted a sweater so much since I bought my grey  Spider Man one back in June! I wasn’t sure what size I should add with my watch list for this on eBay so I messaged the store via a Twitter DM and the guy was really nice and answered my question with no problems and such. I can’t wait to order this sweater and I know for a fact I’ll wear it loads. I love Alice In Wonderland anyway and out of all the punk, emo, gothic, etc editing that have been done on Disney Princesses, this is by far the best one I’ve seen! They also do the Alice In Wonderland design as a vest and a t-shirt, plus they also do a Little Mermaid design too but I’m not as keen on this one, go check it out though if you like this sort of thing! Literally can’t wait to get my hands on this! If I don’t buy it for myself, I’ll try and ask for it for Christmas off of someone. 😛

  • Pocket Full Of Monsters T-Shirt from teeturtle.com – $20.00 + Not sure of P+P

Years ago I mentioned Tee Turtle’s store in a post when I wanted one of their t-shirts but I never bought that t-shirt in the end. I heard about this company through a friend of mine, who loves geeky t-shirts, just like the ones that Tee Turtle designs and sells. They’re an American online store and apparently it can be expensive to get their t-shirts to the UK, but I think this t-shirt would be worth every penny. I’m a total nerd when it comes to Pokemon, my favourites being the Eeveelutions, as well as Pokemon like Dragonite, Mew, Vulpix and many more! This t-shirt would be such a geeky thing for me and I’d probably wear it when I was chilling around the house, hey maybe even try and be fashionable and when I eventually buy the Cut Out High-Waisted Black Skirt With Shoulder-Strap from Choies which I mentioned in October’s Wish List it would look awesome! It looks like a dull black/dark grey t-shirt so it would look great with a pair of baggy jeans too, as well as a cute pair of shorts for evenings out if you want to try and look nice without making too much effort. I’m unsure if I will buy this anytime soon, but I’ll damn well try to! If you like geeky t-shirts like this one, go and check out their other t-shirts. They have four other Pokemon pocket t-shirts like this one and they’re all as cute as each other!

  • Beyond: Two Souls for PS3 from Game –  £ 42.99 for special edition and £40.99 for standard edition.

Since the age of 6 I’ve been addicted to games and after waiting for years for this game, it’s finally here and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! I’ve played both Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain and now I’m ready to play this next. I don’t buy games for my PS3 as much anymore as I used to due to lack of funds and sometimes I will buy a new game and not play it for ages, however I know I would play this game day and night until it was finished, 100%! I’m on 98% for Heavy Rain at the moment, but due to it crashing all the time, I don’t think I’ll ever complete the 2% I need for that platinum trophy, which sucks so much! This game is pretty new so it’s still going to be pricey so I don’t mind waiting for this to drop in price, however if I was to find a second-hand copy of this going cheap, I wouldn’t let it stop me from snapping it up in a heartbeat. If I don’t buy it before Christmas, I know I can always rely on my Dad to offer to buy it me for Christmas or my birthday, he’s great with presents as he’s the only one who buys me games.

  • LEGO Marvel Super Heroes for PS3 from Game – £37.99 for super pack edition and £34.99 for standard edition.

Another game huh? I love LEGO games and LEGO have created another one to add to their collection, Marvel Super Heroes. I remember earlier this year researching this game after hearing it was being made and knowing that I would want it when it came out. LEGO always seem to bring new releases out in November and this comes out on 15th November this year, exciting huh? You get to play as Marvel characters such as Iron Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Captain America, Spider Man, all of The Fantastic Four, Thor and even Loki. Exciting huh? I don’t care if these games are aimed at children, I loved playing with my LEGO as a kid and these games are so much fun to play that they just remind me of my childhood! I’ll probably ask for this for Christmas, but I thought I would  mention it here as I am really excited for it this month.

So that was  my wish list for November, but with Christmas just being around the corner, I doubt I’ll be able to buy much for myself due to both lack of funds and needing as many funds as possible for the Christmas period.

Once again I want to thank my boyfriend for allowing me to use his MacBook Pro to edit together the image on Photoshop, as well as type this post up. I’ve been sat listening to Four Floors Of Whores rehearse ready for their tour… As I’m actually writing this post up towards the end of October.

I’m going to be so terribly busy this month that most of the posts throughout it will have been written during October.

So, what’s on your wish lists for November? Let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care and I wish you all a good November!
