July Wish List ’22

How are we already into the first week of July? This month is already flying by, it’s crazy. The past week has flown by for me and it has been a mixture of ups and downs, mostly the latter unfortunately. I’m hopeful that things will turn around soon however, as I’d like to try and spend days less mopey and more cheerly, especially as we get some nicer weather too.

June was an expensive month for me with our trip away to Manchester and other things we did, and with me trying to be better than money, I told myself I’d be good in July. Alas, so far I have not been good at all and I’m now banning myself from buying anything else until payday at the end of the month. This month I decided to get back into cross stitch, which wasn’t exactly cheap as I had to buy a lot of thread and some patterns. This being said it’s definitely been worth it as I’m really enjoying doing the pattern I bought and it’s a big one, so it’ll keep me going for quite some time! Plus, as I’m part of diyCrossing’s Patreon, I get access to lots of Animal Crossing themed patterns, so I can always do some of those too!

So, this months wish list will be items I’ve pre-ordered, need to get as staples, and items I’ll be saving to pick up in the future as a monthly treat. I really do need to be good now, I made a lot of big purchases this month. Spending ban has to come back! That being said, I really hope you enjoy this months wish list, the colour palette for it is so pretty!

  • Pokemon Center Alolan Vulpix AirPods Pro Case – (link)

At the time of writing this post (day before it’s due to go live!), I have literally just discovered this AirPods pro case and I really do want/need it in my life! My AirPods currently have a cheaper ghost case on them, which I do love but it would be nice to mix it up, especially if I can get an official Pokemon one. The Alolan Vulpix and Ninetales designs for this collection is adorable, and it’s actually been quite a while now since a Pokemon collection has come out where I’ve really liked at least one item from it! As there is a little hook on the side of the case too, I’d look to try and find a special keychain/bracelet to wear when I use them to go walking.

  • Sugary Carousel Puppermint Plush – (link)

This is an item I have preordered from Sugary Carousel as whilst I don’t need anymore plushies, I fell in love with their Puppermint design! I love dogs and as a kid I always loved mint chocolate chip ice cream, so this just felt like a must have purchase for me. I didn’t quite realise how big this plushie is either, but it’s approximately ten to eleven inches tall, which is huge! This won’t ship until December, which I don’t mind, as I’ll class it as an early Christmas/birthday present for me. 😛 Not going to lie, the shipping for this item was so expensive, but it’ll be worth it! The quality of the plush looks really nice and soft.

  • Shirayukinikki Jiji & Lily’s Bakery 16 oz Glass Tumbler – (link)

I discovered Shirayukinikki recently on Instagram and since then I’ve really fallen in love with their pieces, especially their glass tumblers, with the Kiki’s Delivery Service themed one grabbing my attention the most! I’d love to pick this up in the future, but as Shirayukinikki is an American based small businesses, I’m wary the shipping costs will be a lot. This being said, it would make such a cute addition to my home, especially as recently I’ve started to make my own iced coffee, and plan to start having a go at making my own matcha bubble tea!

  • Soap & Glory The Real Zing Body Wash and Body Sorbet – (link) and (link)

I kind of forgot how much I like the Soap & Glory range as I was using up the Sugar Crush body buttercream recently. Their stuff smells divine and it’s especially perfect for summer due to that. I’ve decided when I’ve used up The Body Shop goods I have currently, I’ll be picking up some stuff from The Real Zing collection, including the body wash and the body sorbet. I gave them a sniff during my short stay in Manchester and really liked how fresh and summery they smelt! Plus, I can imagine them giving me an extra wake up during and after my morning showers before I start the work day in the week. These are currently on offer too, so I may take advantage of them sooner, rather than later.

  • Pokemon TCG Vulpix Seasons Playmat – (link)

We started this months wish list with Pokemon and we’re going to finish it with Pokemon too, and to boot they’re both Vulpix themed items too, which I find funny! I love how the Pokemon Center UK website is updating daily pretty much, and I especially love that we’re slowly seeing items land to the UK store that the Japan and American store have had for years! When the Vulpix Seasons collection launched in Japan in 2017 I purchased a few items from it, but regretted not ordering more. Now we can get the playmat in the UK, I’m definitely planning on picking it up in the future for my desk! I love my Eeveelutions one, but it would be nice to change it up every now and then for fun!

So, there you have it guys, the absolutely adorable items from my wish list this month! As I said, I am pretty much on a spending ban the rest of this month now, so any items on this list that I’d like to get eventually will need to wait for payday treats, or even Christmas and birthday, considering they’ll be here before we know it! :O

What do you guys have on your wish lists? Have you discovered some new items through mine? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care guys and have an amazing weekend!

April ’16 Favourites

It’s May, and you wouldn’t believe we were into Spring with how the weather as been the past week. Snow two of the days this week! Weather, are you drunk? 😛

Anyway, on with the favourites for this month just gone!

 photo April Favs_zpsesyasmep.jpg

  • Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Spray (link)

I love the Sugar Crush scent. It’s so gorgeous, summery, and it cheers me up any time of the year. So when I spotted that they had brought out the body spray, I made sure to pick one up. At the moment I use it everyday at work, I usually go for perfume but I want to try to use up my body sprays. That and I find my perfume is too nice to wear for work right now. One of the girls I work with always compliments me when I wear this, saying I smell like a holiday, and coconut. Love it! 😛

  • L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream (link)

I only have the travel size in this and that suits me down to the ground as this stuff is amazing! A little bit goes a long way and it really does help moisturise my hands when I’m out and about. It’s thick which makes it feel like it’s actually working when applied to your skin. I love L’Occitane when it comes to their products, and you can never go wrong.

  • Lush Magic Wand Re-Usable Bubble Bar

This is a limited edition Lush item from Christmas, so sadly you can’t buy it anymore. My friend Sophie recently gave me a small box of Lush goodies that her sister didn’t want anymore, including Fairy Dust, Snow Fairy, AND this Magic bubble bar. I’ve used it twice now and I love it! I still have two of these in my Lush box to use too. I find one point of the star gives me enough for one bath, so I still have four baths left, the three points that are left, as well as the middle. This is just a lovely treat for me, and I intend to use one this evening after I finish work.

  • Bourjois Souffle De Velvet Liquid Lipstick in shades Cherry Leaders and Plum Plum Pidou (link)

I couldn’t decide on which one to add to my favourite this month, so I had to add both! I wasn’t going to pick these up, as I’d just bought two new Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks, but alas I saw the offer Boots had on and bought two (the offer being any 2 Bourjois products for £14) and I don’t regret it. These are so lovely and light to wear on the lips! They go on like a gloss, and they don’t really dry matte, but they dry well enough to stay on for a while. I use Cherry Leaders over a red lip liner to help it last longer. I got nothing but compliments when I wore these towards the end of April. I’ll be reviewing them soon for sure.

  • Yankee Candle Large Jar in Hazelnut Latte

I LOVE this candle. I’m just sad it’s slowly coming to the end of the jar. It’s limited edition and probably won’t come around again until autumn/winter time now. Sad times. It lasts ages though and smells amazing. My family love the scent of it as well, which is a nice change. I have it burning now and it smells lovely. I’ll definitely pick another one of these up in the future if I see it for sale. Dane bought me this last summer, so I’m surprised how long it has lasted me.

Apart from one general product, those were my beauty favourites from April! I know I’ll be stuck for choice already for May as I have so many things I love from the end of April already, as well as stuff I’m waiting to arrive in the post. Let’s just say they’re liquid lipsticks, and by my favourite brand. 😛

What products did you keep reading for throughout April? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a great April.

Christmas Present Ideas – Beauty Gift Sets

Hands up who doesn’t like receiving beauty gift sets for Christmas? No one, eh? Beauty gift sets are a real treat to open up Christmas Day, no matter what brand they are, or what they contain. At least one person will receive, and I already know I’ll be getting one, if not two this year.

I thought I would do my final present idea list about beauty, and what great gift sets you can pick up last minute (depending on stock on stores obviously), and considering it’s Christmas Eve tomorrow, you better get out quick before they’re all gone!

  • Lush Butterbear gift set – £14.95 (link)

This was one of the Lush gift sets that I put down on my Christmas wish list this year, for the tin alone! Inside this cute little tin you get six little Butterbear Bath Bombs (link to them here) which are a remake of the Lush permanent Butterball Bath Bomb. This set is perfect for children, and grown ups alike! The only flaw of this tin is that it isn’t really worth the money, and if anything you’re paying for the tin… I can see me picking one of these up in the Boxing Day sales if there are any left!

  • Boots Soap and Glory Get a Smooth On gift set – £35.00 (link)

This is an amazing gift set, and one I didn’t actually know about until researching for this post! I love Sugar Crush, and I don’t think I know anyone who doesn’t love it. You can get various different sets, but this one just seemed the nicest, and best value for money. You get four beauty products from the Sugar Crush range (body wash, body scrub, body buttercream, and body spray), as well as an overnight bag, and a Soap and Glory body polisher! I need a new overnight bag myself, and this is a gorgeous silver one. Perfect for any woman of any age, and maybe even some men, my boyfriend loves the Sugar Crush scent.

  • Debenhams Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi Gloss Collection – £110.00 (link)

This is the most expensive gift on this list, and you can see why! Any lip gloss lover will adore this collection (I know I would!) no matter what their age. You get 12 shades of gloss in here, and they’re all sorts of shades from nudes, pinks, reds, dark shades, and even a gorgeous blue purple shade! As I said, this is expensive but it works out being a bargain.

  • The Body Shop Modern Gent’s Post Party Rescue Kit – £16.00 (link)

Of course I had to include men in this beauty list… Something I have learnt from my boyfriend since we got together is how men really don’t look after their skin, and they should. Thanks to me my boyfriend now has a facial regime in place with his Lush and The Body Shop products. This gift set is perfect for introducing men into getting their faces taken care of. In this little kit you get an Eye Rescue Serum, and an Face Protector. Perfect for men who may work long hours, and need something to help them wake up in the mornings, and keep them alert in the evenings.

  • L’Occitane Delicate Floral Cherry Blossom Collection – £49.00 (link)

I love L’Occitane, and received a gift set last year from my boyfriends brother and his girlfriend. I loved that set so much! I myself have even bought people L’Occitane in the past, especially my mom who loves the lavender collection, which I bought her one year, as well as this year! You can get various collections in gift sets, including the lavender one. However, I have decided to show off the cherry blossom gift set today, as it’s such a gorgeous scent to be using late winter, ready for spring. You get seven products in this set, including a perfume. This would make a lovely gift set for anyone of any age, but especially older ladies who like a nice, delicate scent.

  • Debenhams DKNY Be Delightful Be Delicious EDP 50ml gift set – £50.00 (link)

I love a perfume gift set as a Christmas present, like any woman. I usually receive one every year, if not every other year. This is a lovely scent for Christmas as it’s a gorgeous fruity scent, that smells like crisp apples. However I do prefer DKNY Red Delicious. In this gift set you get the 50ml EDP as well a body lotion, so if you receive this for Christmas you can use it for New Years Eve, applying the lotion first and then spritzing over the perfume to ensure the scent lasts all night long. This is a perfect perfume for teenagers.

So that was my present ideas for beauty gift sets! It was also the final of my four present ideas posts. I can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve tomorrow, and then Friday Christmas Day.

I am excited for Christmas, although not as much as last year. How are you all feeling about Christmas? Are you all ready present, and food wise? If not, stop reading and get out there and shop!

Until next time all, take care.

June Favourites 2015

June has flown by and I can’t believe it’s the first day of July. We’re now officially into the summer season and I’m off to London in just over a week. I pray that July is a good month as June was pretty decent and I want to keep that good streak going.

I really started to enjoy using some new products, as well as a few old ones that I forgot I loved. Just a warning, some of these products have long mini reviews. Just shows how much I’ve loved them this month!

  • Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub.

I bought this back in May and have been slowly using it and seeing how I’d get on with it. I won’t lie, at first I thought, “what does everyone see in this product? It’s rubbish!” But that was only after a first use and the more I used it, the more I realised what all the fuss was about. This scrub is so amazing for so many reasons. First of all, the smell! I love the Sugar Crush scent, it’s by far my favourite by Soap & Glory and now they have the body spray out, I’m trying to use all my Soap & Glory ones up so I can buy this one. Another great thing about this scrub is how thick it is. There’s nothing good about a fine scrub that slips off as soon as you apply it to the skin. It also means it lasts a lot longer. I’ve had this over a month now and I use it once a week, I’m just over halfway through the tub. That to me is amazing! Something I did notice I had to do with this scrub though to make it work to my liking was to rub it together in my hands first to get the scrub nice and rough and then I rubbed it on my skin. It does work amazingly on dry skin, but I always use this when I have a bath so the only dry parts will be my shoulders and upper arms. After I use this my skin feels moisturised, super smooth, and smelling lovely. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this in the future as it’s a keeper now.

  • Victoria’s Secret Fragrance Mist in Snow Mint (LE).

I’ve owned this since before Christmas and I remember picking it up the first time I went into Victoria’s Secret. I’m a sucker for that shop now and each time I pop into town (which isn’t that often anymore) I usually pick something up. The fragrance mists are a definite must if you love things like this, not just for the gorgeous scents, but for their lasting power. I had used these on and off over the winter and spring months, but now summer is here I’ve been using my body sprays a lot for work, as well as for after pole dancing classes. I’d never noticed before how good these sprays actually are! I spritzed this all over my neck, chest, arms, and legs in the morning before I went out for the day and when I got back in the evening and was snuggled into bed relaxing, I could smell this all over me. I was well chuffed! Snow Mint is definitely one I wish I’d picked up a dupe of. It’s a peppermint sweetie style scent that isn’t too strong and isn’t too sweet, it’s perfect in the middle. It leaves me feeling refreshed and smelling good. Once I wore it for work and got nothing but compliments! I think I might take this to London with me to spritz on during Hyper Japan. It really does cool you down! I hope this comes back this Christmas as I’ll be stocking up on it for sure.

  • John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray.

This was something that came up on one of my wish lists for London during June and of course if I said I wanted it… Chances are I was going to buy it. I honestly couldn’t resist picking this up and I’m so glad I did because I don’t regret it. Whilst this hasn’t made my hair curly, that’s due to not putting any hair curling effort in… Lazy me! HOWEVER this has made my hair thicker when used in both wet and dry hair and it’s definitely good when I want a bit more volume and style for my braids. I spritz this onto wet/damp hair and blow dry. Blow drying upside down gives you more volume and body. Then I brush it through and style it afterwards as and how I want. This makes my hair super wavy after wearing a braid all day and makes my hair feel thicker and very beach like. The only issue is, it can be a tad tough to brush, but not as bad as another sea salt spray I’ve used! This smells like yummy coconuts too, so just as a treat I sometimes spray this into my hair before I style it. This doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the hair and it’s as if you’re spraying water onto the hair. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this as it’s just such a great product. I need to style my hair with this though next time!

  • The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion.

If there is a range from The Body Shop that I adore out of them all, it’s definitely their peppermint foot range. It’s by far the best one you can pick up on the high street and for amazing prices too. I picked up most of the range back at the start of February after my holiday and they’re still lasting me to this day. Since starting back at my pole dancing classes, my feet have been busy, as well as my legs getting bashed and bruised. After a quick shower and a good scrub of my dirty feet, I like to get my servant *cough* I mean my boyfriend (he he he :P) to rub some of this on my feet and legs as a nice after pole dance treat. As it’s a cooling lotion it really does help tired limbs and leaves me feeling great. This weekly treat has now turned into a daily one. As soon as I get in from being out and about I like to rub some of this on my tootsies. It’s a fast drying lotion so you don’t have to apply foot socks, or wait around ages for it to dry (but you can if you want to, of course) which is convenient for me. This lasts ages too as you don’t need to use a lot. Although I won’t be taking this to London with me, I will be taking the Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray with me, which is something else I use alongside the lotion after pole classes. This is perfect for summer, especially holidays so pick some up.

  • Rimmel London Moisture Renew Universal Transparent Lip Liner.

This is something I ordered on a whim that I’d wanted to try it for ages, and for less than a fiver I didn’t see the harm. I have all sorts of lipsticks, but not that many lip liners… I own three and out of various shades of pinks, reds, and now purples, I could do with one lip liner for them all. Which is where this one comes into play. I had heard nothing but bad things about this, so I was worried I’d regret what I ordered. However, I haven’t had any issues since ordering and if anything I personally love it! It doesn’t exactly do as great a job as other lip liners, but I didn’t expect it to. I mostly use this with my darker shades such as Rebel, and my purple lipsticks. I even tried it with a black lipstick I recently purchased and the staying power wasn’t as great as a bog standard lip liner, but it did really help some of my lipsticks last longer and that worked for me. It applies creamy to the lips and doesn’t leave them feeling dry, which is a bonus. I would like to try a more high brand transparent liner next, but this one is a bargain for sure. I definitely recommend it, but don’t go in with high expectations because you will feel disappointed.

So those were my favourites for last month! What did you enjoy and love using? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time take care all and I’ll see you soon.

A Very Much Needed Haul!

I’m meant to be saving money, but for some reason towards the end of my second semester of uni I suddenly felt the urge to buy myself some things. Things that whilst I can afford, I shouldn’t really buy. However a majority of these items were in the sale, so it wasn’t too bad! Plus a couple of things were free and one was a gift, but I’ll go into detail about this.

I’ll talk about each item in order of when I bought them.

Towards the end of April me and my boyfriend decided to treat ourselves to a new game for our 2Ds’s and that game was the latest Pokemon, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Since then we’ve played them loads, but my boyfriend has already completed his! I’ve been too busy with my uni work to play but when I’ve handed my last assignment in Thursday, I’ll be able to complete the story!

I’d read a review recently about Makeup Revolution’s new Iconic Pro lipsticks and whilst I didn’t need anymore (or any new ones for that matter) the two I had spied were dupes of MAC Heroine and possibly Violetta, two lipsticks I have had my eye on for quite some time. So, for £2.49 each I thought, what the hell! I ordered Liberty in both the matte finish and the standard finish, which looks creamy, yet glossy. These are gorgeous lipsticks and since buying them I’ve worn them  nearly everyday. I’ll definitely have to review these in the future as not only are they MAC dupes, but the packaging also reminds me of MAC too. Really can’t go wrong for the price. The only thing I disliked was how much the postage was, and what made it worse was how long it took them to arrive! Not very pleased about it, but they’re here now and were definitely worth the wait!

This was intended to be the only treats I was going to buy myself this month, but alas after ordered those lipsticks, I couldn’t stop.

I use Love Sales to tell me when products I want to buy go into the sale. The second said item goes down in price I get an email about it. This happened a lot that same day due to New Look having a sale. I’ve seen a lot of items I wanted from there, so alas those items were put on sale. A lot of items I wanted weren’t available in my size, but the ones I picked up were.

I picked up this crop top, which I’ve been wanting for ages! It was listed under New Look’s 70’s trend, which I’ve really been liking this spring so far. I’ve wanted some more crop tops for a while as whilst I don’t like my tummy, my waist is pretty awesome! I can wear something high-waisted (probably black shorts, jeans, disco pants, or a skirt) and it’ll look awesome all year around. When I tried this on it felt a little tight, but I think this is how it’s meant to be. It makes my boobs look awesome too, so I’m glad I picked this up! It was originally £7.99, down to £4.00, bargain! I’m really pleased I picked this up. It’s going to be the start of me getting more body confident again. Although this being said, I haven’t yet found anything high-waisted that I like the look of. I’ll have to keep looking.

I’ve wanted this dress for months and looked in every store imaginable to try and track it down to try on and buy. I looked in two Coventry stores, three Birmingham stores, Milton Keynes, Cheltenham, and Leicester, and no one could help me! They all told me to order it online. But I left it, I don’t tend to like ordering clothes online… However when this popped up in the sale, I couldn’t resist. At the time of ordering there was only one size left, which is one-two sizes too big for me, but I could get it taken in and it would be okay. And to be honest, with how self-conscious I am about my weight lately I thought, “You’ll probably fit into it anyway… You’re getting fat.” However, when it arrived and I tried it on, it turns out it was too big for me! Deep down I was so damn happy! But the story doesn’t even here about that dress. The next day I had a look online to see if they had any of my sizes left, which they did! So my boyfriend was nice enough to order it for me and so, when that dress arrived and fit okay, I took the one I ordered back to the store. Happy days! I’m so pleased I finally got this dress and at a bargain too, it was originally £22.99, down to £10. TEN WHOLE POUNDS! So pleased! I already know how I want to wear this and will wear it all year around. I wore it to a party recently and I loved it. I had nothing but compliments and it really did make me feel like a blast from the past with its 60’s/70’s look to it.

Both of these items were spoken about on one of my wish list Wednesday’s posts, which you can check out here.

Something else I decided to pick up from New Look were these cute little poodle socks. I’m a sucker for anything with a poodle on it and of course I just had to get these. You can never have enough pairs of socks, especially me! These were originally £1.99, down to £1.00. Can’t complain for that money.

Without flash

With flash

Out of pure boredom on my day off from work I had a look at Topshop’s sale to see if I could spy anything nice for a bargain and I came across these shoes. I have had my eyes on a pair of Vagabond sandals for nearly a year now and I still don’t own them. Why? Because they’re just too damn expensive! Like the New Look items I had them on Love Sales and waited patiently for them to drop in the sale, but they didn’t drop to as much as I hoped they would. However, on the Topshop sale they had some shoes somewhat similar to the Vagabond ones. I wasn’t sure whether to order them… So I waited until my boyfriend was home from work and asked for a second opinion. He agreed on the reasons why I wanted them and so I ordered. Instead of paying £3.00 to have the delivered home, I decided to opt for free delivery to my nearest store. The sales assistants were lovely in store and I tried them on there and then. They fit me lovely and I was so excited to take them home! These were the best bargain out of the lot at a cheap £15.00 down from £40.00! They’re not real leather, but I’m not fussed about that. These will go with loads of things over the spring and summer months, hell even the warmer autumn days! I’ll probably team these up with the crop top, as well as the dress. I’ve already worn them with the dress and they looked awesome! When I first tried these on they did seem a hell of a lot higher than I thought they would be, but they’re really easy to walk in and very comfortable. I can’t wait to wear these more throughout the summer.

L-R: Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub, Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter, and Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Wash Scrub & Mask

I needed to pick myself up some bits and pieces from Boots, these being a face and body scrub. So I took advantage to Boots 3 for 2 offer and decided to treat myself to Soap & Glory’s Sugar Crush Body Scrub and although I haven’t tried it yet on my body, I have tried it on the back of my hand and it feels gorgeous and smells delicious! I love the Sugar Crush line and it smells delicious, just like key lime pie! I’ve owned the shower gel in the past and was tempted to pick it up for this offer, but left it this time. This cost me £8.00.

Instead I picked up Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter, which I have had my eye on to try for quite some time. What really encouraged me to buy it is the fact it smells JUST LIKE pistachio ice cream, which I adore. This shares the same scent as Smoothie Star Body Milk, and I can only imagine it does with the Smoothie Star Body Buttercream, and the Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub. I tried this out the day after I bought it and it’s really nice to use! I imagine it’s like the Nivea in shower moisturiser as it did leave me feeling moisturised for a while, but my skin soon went dry in patches. This being said, my skin is very dry. I’ll be test driving this out more throughout June! This cost me £7.00

The item I picked up for free was what I settled on as my new face scrub, this being Garnier’s Pure 3-in-1 Wash Scrub & Mask. I’ve heard nothing but good about this and have wanted to try it for a while, but never did. However I thought what the hell this time and also gave this a go as a scrub the day after I bought it too and it really did feel nice to use! I of course haven’t noticed much change yet, but it didn’t dry my skin out which I liked. I can’t wait to try this as a mask as I really want to start using face masks again. This was on sale at the time of purchase for just over £3.00 but it’s now priced on the website as £5.99.

L-R: Ocean Salt, Ultrabland, and Let The Good Times Roll

Whilst I was out shopping with my boyfriend and before I picked up my items from Boots I ventured into Lush to check out their face and body scrubs, as I contemplated buying one from them. I had Ocean Salt and Rub Rub Rub in mind. The woman who served me was lovely and very chatty about Lush products. She also let me try out loads of products which was nice! However some of the things she was telling me about products I know from my personal research in the past were incorrect and I was somewhat confused about that. But I know she meant well and was speaking more from her own experience, as opposed to what they’re taught about the products. She was so lovely though that she gave me enough samples to last me for quite a few weeks. I nearly picked up Rub Rub Rub or You Snap The Whip, but I left it as to be honest, Lush is expensive and in my mind is something you only pick up as a treat.

The samples she gave me are Ocean Salt, Ultrabland, and Let The Good Times Roll. I’m really excited to try Ocean salt and Let The Good Times Roll, not so much for Ultrabland though. I tried this out in store and it felt so greasy on the back of my hand. This isn’t something I want to feel on my face… But I’ll still give it a go!

My family recently came back from a holiday and were lovely enough to bring me back this set of OPI Nail Lacquers with some of the Hawaii Collection inside. I’ve painted my nails and toes with some of the shades already and they’re gorgeous! I’m so grateful for the thought behind these and I know I’ll be rocking them throughout the summer! I’ll definitely be reviewing these soon.

I’m so pleased with my purchases and I’m really happy I treated myself to a few goodies. I’ve just about finished my second semester of university and I won’t lie when I say I feel like a weight has been lifted… Somewhat. I need to wait to see how I did first before the weight is fully gone. But for now I am due to start working on my dissertation, which will be a lot of work, but not as much as before.

This means more blog posts! I’ve really missed writing for my blog, so I’m glad to be back.

Some Bedtime Treats

I love my bed. It’s my safe place and the best place to snuggle up on rainy weekends with my boyfriend whilst we watch anime and films.

It’s also the place where I like to snuggle up under the covers and have some beauty and self-indulgent treats.

The first thing I like to do is make sure I’m nice and moisturised before bed. I’ve been using various foot moisturisers at the moment, with I slather on my feet as much as possible and put my white cotton socks over the top. I sleep in this and wake up to find my feet lovely and soft! The foot cream I’ve been reaching for the most at the moment is Heel Genius by Soap & Glory (review here). I don’t do this every night, but every other night I’ll do this. I’ll soon be doing this every night as I want nice soft feet ready for spring and summer this year.

Another thing I like to keep soft and smooth are my hands. I suffer from mild eczema in both the winter and summer, HOWEVER I haven’t as of yet had any issues and I thinks it’s because I’ve been making sure to keep my hands moisturised whenever I can. My sister-in-law gave me a huge Sanctuary Spa gift set for Christmas and this came inside of it. I’ve been keeping it by my bed to use throughout the day as well as before I go to sleep. It’s not too thick and really does leave my hands feeling soft. The smell isn’t the best in the world but I don’t care, it does the job.

I like to make sure my lips are moisturised all the time! As soon as they feel dry I make sure to apply plenty of lip balm, as the worst thing for me are a chapped pair of lips. Especially if I want to wear my lipstick and not need to worry about scrubbing away any dead skin first. I know it should be the done thing, but sometimes I don’t have the effort. I love my Carmex lip balms (review here) and these are my go to lip balm at the moment for when I’m at home. I’m currently trying to make my way through plenty of lip balms as I appear to have quite a few… I’m sure I’ll make my way through them though.

You can’t go wrong with burning a candle in the evenings, especially when it’s cold and miserable at the moment. I’m currently burning Yankee Candle’s Red Raspberry wax tart and it’s safe to say I LOVE it! At first it reminded me of The Comforter bubble bar from Lush but now it reminds me of something else, which I can’t quite put my finger on. I love this though and intend to buy a jar of it in the future. I’ve recently gone back to burning wax tarts as instead of forking out for large jars, I may as well pick up some of the scents I want to try before I buy in tart form.

Days in bed are definitely days spent doing next to anything and watching TV shows. One series I’ve been loving at the moment is Dexter and since getting Netflix I’ve been able to continue watching it… Seeing as Amazon Prime took it down. I’m currently just over the halfway mark of season 4 and really addicted to it. I’ve been told not to watch until the end, but I will. I love Dexter’s character too much to just let him go and not find out what happens to him.

Another series, well three series in one that I’ve been enjoying is Cucumber, Banana and Tofu. These are a trilogy of shows put together about gay relationships, as well as a couple of straight ones thrown in there. It’s very modern, funny and great for people of any age. Cucumber focuses more towards older ages, whilst Banana focuses towards a younger audience. Tofu however is only 10-11 minutes long and each week focuses on different topics relating to sex. I love shows like this as they’re so interesting, as well as keeping a funny and lighthearted side to them too. If you haven’t watching any of them yet, do it!

Finally what I really enjoying doing whether my boyfriend is here or not, is to snuggle up to my Totoro plushie and my seal plushie from my second home. My Totoro is huge and it makes it somewhat comforting if I’m feeling a little lonely, sleepy, or just want something to snuggle. My seal plushie is just so squishy and nice, which can make a change from the size of the Totoro one.

Either way, I love having time to chill in bed with all these comforts and treats before I go to sleep and as I’ve written this post out this evening, I’ve done them all. Including snuggling with my Totoro plushie and watching Dexter.

What are your bedtime treats that you do before bed? Let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I wish you all a good sleep tonight.

October Empties

Another month, another empties post. I think I have come to the decision that in 2015 empties posts will be no more on my blog. It’s not that I don’t enjoy writing them, because I do but having to store empty bottles in my bathroom for a month is somewhat hoarding behaviour and I don’t like that personally. Hey if I finish off a product I REALLY liked then I might just mention that in my favourites or something, but either way having to collect a bag full of empty products just is annoying and it annoys my family too, so I can see next month being my last empties post.

But for now I shall tell you about what I used up throughout October!

  • Superdrug Nail Polish Remover.

This is a bog standard nail polish remover and a very good one at that! I’ve had this a while and that’s because a little bit of this goes a long way so it’s taken me well over a year to get rid of it! I would have re-purchased this but at the time of realising I needed some new polish remover I ended up picking a cheap bottle up from Home Bargains. I would definitely buy this again as it was really good at a cheap price.

  • N SPA Cherry Body Scrub.

I mentioned this in my September Favourites last month and I can safely say I would re-purchase this! It lasted ages, smelt gorgeous and left my skin feeling and looking gorgeous and soft! It wasn’t the best body scrub in the world but for the price I paid it did a really good job in my opinion. Check this out if you’re after a decent body scrub on a budget.

  • The Body Shop Hand Cleanse Gel in Pink Grapefruit and Sweet Lemon.

I LOVE The Body Shops hand sanitizers, I’ve said this time and time again and I mean it! I’ve recently picked up 3 more as I just can’t live without having one of these in my back pack, nor my apron at work. They work really well to keep your hands germ free and smell gorgeous too. The Body Shop have these on 3 for 2 so I suggest you grab some bargains with these. One thing to say on these though is that Sweet Lemon was a limited edition scent from a few summers ago so you can’t pick this up anymore, gutted!

  • Simple Kind To Skin Antibacterial Hand Wash.

I loved this hand wash and over the years my hands either loved it or hated it, so I’m glad they saw my side as to how amazing it is. It’s a gorgeous fresh mint hand wash that leaves your hands smelling, feeling and being clean and fresh. I was meant to re-purchase this but when I went to the shop to buy it, there weren’t any left so I was left buying something else. I will be picking this up again soon mind, I don’t think I can live without it now.

The reason for these three products having an edited image is that all I have left of the two Lush products are empty wrappers and due to wanting to get all the product I resulted in cutting up the Hand Food tube to nothing… Now that that is cleared up… 😛

  • Lush Magic Bath Bomb.

I owned this bath bomb for an age, another purchase from my friend Mali (maliberrymakeup) and one I had saved and saved until I didn’t want to save anymore and a few baths later this was gone. It was an enjoyable bath bomb but not one I would buy again in a hurry. It had some sort of seaweed inside which grossed me out a tad and I had to scoop it all out of the bath water before I got in. It did seem to help my aching muscles though which was lovely and the blue bath water with red made it a purple shade which I adored. It’s a shame this is limited edition as it’s such a nice shaped bath bomb.

  • Soap & Glory Hand Food hand cream.

I have had a love hate relationship with this hand cream from day one and whilst it was a lovely hand cream, it had a horrible scent which I really disliked. This kept my hands gorgeously soft throughout the months I used it and it was a staple for my back pack. Would I buy this again? Possibly if they change the scent WHICH I have noticed they have done with one of their Christmas sets. I pray that they bring out Hand Food in the Sugar Crush scent. I CAN ONLY PRAY!

  • Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar.

I love this bubble bar so much and I finally used mine up from last Christmas, in preparation to buy another this year. This has the same scent as Creamy Candy Bubble Bar but it just looks that little prettier, don’t you think? This is a real girly bath bomb and also a real treat for myself when I fancy something sweet after a long day. The scent lingers on the skin for ages and I just can’t get enough. Will be buying some more by the end of Christmas to keep me through 2015.

So those were my empties, and they were also all spoken about short and sweet, I do apologise for that.

What products have you used up this month? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

September Empties

Excuse my language but holy shit I used up a lot of products in September! I don’t think I’ve ever had this many items in an empties post and it’s really surprised me.

I won’t lie, I am glad to be rid of a lot of the products I had as whilst most were good, it is good to have a clear out so that new things may be bought and wasted money on. 😛

I just want to get this out there now that when we enter into 2015, I’m not 100% sure if I will be writing up anymore empties posts as whilst I do enjoy doing them I do just think it’s a hassle to save up all the empty bottles in my bathroom. I am just putting this down to how much I saved up this month and I may change my mind, we shall see how the next three/four months go…

  • Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel.

I’ve mentioned this before, if you would like to read more about it look here.

  • Hello Kitty Liberty Body Wash.

I was given this body wash in a gift set from my sister-in-law and I really did love it! I saved it for quite a while until I decided to use it and within a few weeks it was gone and I have missed using it. It was softening on the skin, lathered beautifully and left my skin smelling gorgeous! It reminds me of the scent the old pink FCUK products that Boots sold at Christmas time in the early 00’s and it really did leave me with some childhood memories! If this is out again this year I’ll probably pick some up as I really enjoyed using this. I am really sad to see it finished.

  • Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo.

I’ve had this shampoo for ages so when it finally came to its end I was really shocked! It just didn’t seem like it was ever going to run out. I’ve since repurchased this in a 1 litre bottle as I really do love this shampoo! If you want to read more about this it featured on my 2013 Favourites, you can find that here.

  • Carex Strawberry Fun Shower & Bath.

I LOVED this shower and bath and when it ran out I was actually really sad, but at the same time I wasn’t as it only cost me a £1, YES A WHOLE POUND COIN! This really did smell like sweet strawberries and perfect for children or anyone who loves strawberries like myself. This really did remind me of The Body Shop’s strawberry shower gel and on a recently shopping trip I picked one up for my boyfriend, who loves it just as much as I do. This leaves your skin feeling great and smelling delicious and it was a treat to use in the bath alongside a fruity bath bomb. BUY IT if you want to try something good, you won’t regret it.

  • I Love… Cosmetics Hand Wash in Mango & Papaya.

Although this featured in my favourites last month (read here), I really couldn’t wait to see the back of this product throughout September. It wasn’t a bad product but I found that due to its bright orange colour if you dripped any on the side, it would stain and has stained. I won’t be picking up this scent again, but I will pick up one of the others, preferably the coconut scent! Otherwise this was great, it smelt delicious and left my hands feeling clean and moisturised.

  • Soap & Glory The Greatest Scrub Of All Facial Exfoliator.

Another product I couldn’t wait to see in the bin! I used to love this scrub, it was my holy grail and when I suffered with some dry eczema style rash on my face years ago, this was the only thing that cleared it up! However over the years I have grown bored with this and now I can’t stand using it anymore. I didn’t even finish this product up, it just one day seemed to go gloopy and I ended up just throwing the rest of the product away. The things I don’t like about this scrub is how greasy it feels on the skin after use, it makes me cringe just the thought of it! I think it’s just to moisturise the skin but I just don’t like it. As well as that the scent is disgusting, I don’t get soap & Glory’s scents but apart from Sugar Crush they all make me feel sick. Shame that as the past year has gone by, I’ve grown to dislike most of Soap & Glory’s products. It does make me rather sad.

  • T-Zone Clear Pore Gel Facial Wash.

I LOVE this face wash and as soon as I was running low I picked up a replacement. This costs less than £2 to buy and it really is worth the money. I don’t know if it’s due to what food I eat, me getting older or the face products I now use but I’ve noticed since using this wash that my skin has improved a hell of a lot! I recommend this to teenagers with troublesome skin so SO much as this is what I used to use when I was a teenager and it really did help my oily skin. You can pick T-Zone up at great prices in Home Bargains and Body Care, so keep your eyes peeled.

  • Sure Maximum Protection Deodorant in Sensitive.

I get through one of these every month and since May I haven’t mentioned one… I think because of the fact I always mention one and I always mention the same thing… Go and read about it here! 😛

  • The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cleanse Gel.

I love my hand sanitizers and I REALLY loved this one! I bought it when I went to Bristol in June and since then it has been so lovely to use, having a sniff of the empty bottle now reminds me of summer and Bristol. Soon as I can I will be picking up another bottle. I recommend The Body Shop cleanse gels so much as not only do they keep your hands germ free, but they leave your hands smelling lovely too. Go and check them out!

  • Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Gel.

Whilst The Body Shop cleanse gel was great, this was a let down and I couldn’t wait to finish the bottle! When you smell the bottle it has a light scent of strawberries, which is pleasant but when you use this on your hands it just stinks of alcohol and I hated it because of that. It wasn’t worth the money I paid (I paid £2 for 2) and I regretted buying it as soon as I started to use it. I don’t recommend, head to The Body Shop and pick up their strawberry cleanse gel, it’ll be worth the extra money and last longer! The cap on this was also rubbish and it opened inside my work apron and leaked everywhere, was really annoying. Don’t waste your money!

  • Wilko Fruits Bath Bomb in Strawberry & Pomegranate.

The first thing I want to say about this bath bomb is how awful it is. My Mom bought me 3 bath bombs for £3, as she knows how much I love my bath bombs! As soon as she brought them home I knew I wanted to try one out, so I popped the whole bomb into the bath and had a good, long soak! I just want to apologise if I go into TMI here but I just want to get out there how this product made me poorly. Before using this in the bath, I was fine but the day after I didn’t feel myself, but the day after that I was rather poorly… And it turned out I had thrush. I suffered from it for a week and it was painful and uncomfortable and I KNOW for a fact it was due to this bath bomb. If you have sensitive skin (or sensitive bits like I clearly do!) then steer clear of this product as whilst it felt moisturising on my skin it really did leave me feeling poorly and run down. I haven’t used the other 2 bath bombs and I have contemplated taking them back to get my money back. I’m not going to bother wasting mine or anyone else’s money on the Fruits collection anymore. I am really disappointed as the collection has had a lot of positive comments. For a little money I would just prefer to splash out on Lush.

So those were my empties of September, I still can’t believe how many products I finished! I doubt it’ll be the same in October, but who knows!

I hope everyone had a great September and I shall see you next month.

Until next time, take care all.

August Favourites 2014

DSC_0002

It’s September… Really 2014, really? I know I say this every month and I think I always will but bloody hell is this year going quick! They say times goes fast when you’re having fun, but I wouldn’t say this year has been 100% fun… I’m going off subject now!

It was actually really hard to pick my favourites this month, I don’t know why!

DSC_0003

  • I Love… Cosmetics Hand Wash in Mango & Papaya.

I bought this on a whim as it was only a £1, I needed hand wash, and I rather like I Love… Cosmetics products. I’ve been using this for the past couple of weeks now and it’s a really lovely hand wash to use. It leaves your hands feeling lovely and soft, as well as smelling fresh and beautiful! I would definitely try their other hand washes and I’m sure I will be as soon as this one finishes. A little bit of this hand wash goes a long way, which is great! Try it whilst it’s on offer for a £1 in Boots!

  • Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire EDP.

I’ve mentioned this perfume before in a previous favourites post and I still love it! During the cold and rainy weather this has been the scent that has really picked me up when I’ve been feeling a bit sluggish and bleh. I think this will definitely be my scent for autumn and winter this year, as it’s such a lovely warming scent and you can’t go wrong with that, eh? If you want to read more about it, check out this post.

  • Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Shower Gel.

I LOVE this shower gel so as soon as some of my shower gels were finished up and thrown away, I was able to pull this out of my toiletries cupboard and pop it on the side of my shower/bath. This smells like key lime pie and due to the citrus scent of it, it really does wake you up when you use it, making it perfect for mornings when I feel really sluggish! I’ve worked a lot of early shifts at work throughout August so this really did help wake me up! I’ve already used quite a lot of this shower gel, which  is hardly surprising and as soon as it runs out, I’m sure I’ll pick up another bottle. You can read more about this here.

DSC_0007

  • The Body Shop Hand Cream in Coconut.

These are some of The Body Shop’s newest products and I was counting down the days until they came out in store to buy! I randomly popped into one of The Body Shop stores for a look and they had all the samples for their new hand creams out for people to look at and try, but they weren’t for sale. I asked when they would be out, as I was sure I read on a blog that they would be out in August, however I was told by the cashier that they wouldn’t be out until late September. So I let out a disappointed sigh and forgot about it. I randomly popped in for a look and they had them for sale, IN AUGUST! So I picked up Coconut and Strawberry and all I have been using when at home is the Coconut scent. It smells so beautiful and is really relaxing to sniff whilst snuggled up in bed. It leaves my hands gorgeous and soft and even my boyfriend has noticed how it has made my hands feel lovely! This and the Strawberry scent will be reviewed very VERY soon so keep your eyes peeled for it!

  • Etude House Peel Off Base Coat.

Peel off base coats are now becoming something new that all nail polish wearers need, especially if you love wearing glitter nail polish! OPI have brought one out but at a high price, and one I don’t wish to pay for myself. SO to eBay I went (as I always do) and discovered that Etude House have a peel off base coat! So for £3.70 (including P&P) I bought this and it arrived pretty quickly too, as I ordered it from Korea. Since then this has been a staple of mine whenever I use glitter nail polish. I’ll be reviewing this in September as it just NEEDS to be spoken about in further detail.

  • Bath & Body Works PocketBac in Crisp Morning Air.

This is one of the most beautiful PocketBac’s I have come to own and it’s all thanks to Hollie over at Eating Lipstick, who has recently posted quite a few Bath & Body Works haul videos over on her YouTube channel. She mentioned how beautiful Crisp Morning Air smelt and I knew I had to have it. SO I once again ventured over to eBay and found someone selling it for a good price, so I ordered it straight away and I couldn’t wait for it to arrive! When it finally did I was pleasantly surprised that I hadn’t ordered something that I may not like and it really does remind me of autumn. It has a lovely crisp warming scent to it, apples, cinnamon and just yummy goodness but not like a cake smell. It’s hard to describe but I recommend ordering it, or smelling it if you’re over the pond at the moment or soon. I wrote a post about hand sanitizers recently and this one was mentioned in that post, you can check that out here.

DSC_0009

  • Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm in Berry Bomb.

Another month, another Baby Lips lip balm! This is by far my favourite out of the four I’ve tried! I had seen swatches of this online from bloggers from over the pond so when I heard that it was going to come out in the UK I was super excited! This is a gorgeous purple shade and smells delicious, like dark berries. The only flaw with this is that I’ve bought a shoddy lip balm as this rubs up the side of the tube and before I know it this will break soon, I’ll probably need to buy another one soon. ANYHOO! I love to use this over my purple lip products whilst at work and on the go. Even on its own this shows up really lovely and I really like it. I can see this being a staple, I keep it in my handbag all the time.

  • Carmex Lip Balm in Strawberry (review here).

I’ve been using this a lot lately at home, due to the weather being on and off hot and then cold my lips have taken a turn for the worst and got really dry and sore and to be honest I think Carmex is what has helped them go back to being lovely and soft. This tastes vile mind, I won’t lie nothing like strawberry if you ask me and I much prefer the original due to that, however my original is now close to running out and I need to use this lip balm up anyway! This is alright to use underneath some lip products too, especially stains and lip crayons. I can’t wait to finish this mind so that I can try one of the other Carmex flavours, which include Cherry and Mint.

  • elf Cosmetics Lip Exfoliator.

I read a review for this lip exfoliator a while ago and thought it sounded ideal! I ended up purchasing it as a treat and I’ve ended up being unsure of how I feel about it. It DOES work and leaves my lips feeling lovely and smooth, but at the same time the stick has actually gone a bit deformed in the tube, making it a little awkward to use. This isn’t a major issue mind! As I mentioned above my lips have been horribly dry during August so this and Carmex have both been lifesavers! If you’ve tried Lush’s lip scrub and found it was too fiddly to use then I recommend this for sure! I find the Lush lip scrubs are rubbish and too awkward to use, so this is much easier and tidier too.

  • Collection Lip Butter in Perfect Plum.

I LOVE this lip crayon! I don’t think I’ve ever liked one as much as I do this one. My best friend and I whilst looking around the shops stumbled across these in Boots and we both decided to take up their 2 for £5 offer. I bought Perfect Plum, a near dupe of MAC Rebel and she picked up Vintage Rose. This is so creamy and smooth to apply to the lips and lasts ages too! It’s easy to apply too and doesn’t need sharpening, which makes it great to use on the go or at work. I recommend these to everyone and soon I’ll be writing a review for this as it’s too good not to share and talk about.

Wow I can’t believe it’s September! I’m actually really excited as August was a pretty crap month for me and this month I aim to sort my life out… Well try to anyway, and that’s all you can do!

What were your favourite products for August? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time take care all and happy September.

June Empties

DSC_0007

I want to get this out there that I thought there would only be three empty products to talk about today, but low and behold when I peered into my purple Liberty bag to take pictures for this post, I came to see that there was actually seven empty products! Talk about using things up!

DSC_0008

There are a few products I have mentioned before in previous empties posts that I don’t wish to go into detail about, so I’ll just link you to the previous posts.

DSC_0009

  • Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel.

I’ve mentioned this product before, if you would like to read more about it look here.

  • Dettol Revitalise Hand Wash.

I mentioned in my May favourites last month about this hand wash and boy did I enjoy using it! I haven’t yet re-purchased another  but that’s just because I’ve been busy and haven’t ventured to a BM Bargains yet! Either way for 99p I know I’ll be buying another one soon enough! I worried this would dry my hands out but it didn’t at all, so if you’re like me and worry that this may dry out your skin, then don’t! The Dettol hand washes are amazing and to be honest I don’t worry about having any germs on my hands are using this.

  • The Body Shop Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator.

I LOVE this exfoliator and when the bottle would no longer produce anymore of the scrub from its tube I was rather sad as I really do enjoy using this scrub. It would leave my face feeling squeaky clean, as well as smooth and fresh. I used to use it twice a week, mid-week and at the end of the week. I bought this back in November last year and it really has lasted me a long time, which I’m happy with! It’s a scrub that when in contact with water foams up, which I like as it makes a change to a scrub that just stays like a grit on the skin, with a bit of oil inside of it too. Due to this scrub foaming up, it feels like it actually cleans the skin, as well as exfoliating it. This was a top 10 favourite of mine for 2013, and you can read all about it here, as well as here from when I purchased it.

  • I Love… Cosmetics Banana Split Bubble Bath & Shower Creme.

I haven’t enjoyed using a shower creme so much for quite a while and when I finished this off on Monday morning, I was rather sad once again as I love this shower creme and as soon as I can, I’m buying more! I picked this up for a £1 in Primark before going to Bristol as I was intending to have it for my long weekend, but I decided against it and ended up buying something else instead (The Body Shop’s Raspberry shower gel). This smells exactly like the foam banana sweets you would buy from the pick and mix as a kid, those alongside pink foam shrimps and white mice were my favourites. I really do like the I Love… Cosmetics products, especially the shower cremes as they smell so damn good and leave your skin feeling soft and smelling good.

DSC_0010

  • T-Zone Spot Zapping Gel.

This is the first time this has appeared on one of my empties posts, however I have already got through three, maybe even four of these prior to this one but I’ve always ended up throwing them away instead of mentioning them in a post on my blog. However it has been mentioned on a favourites post from back in February, which you can read about here. This spot zapping gel is amazing and really does help to calm my spots redness down, as well as prevent them if I’m breaking out really badly when that time of the month arrives. These cost less than a £1 each in Home Bargains and really are worth every penny! I stock up on these when I go in there as I just get through these really quickly.

  • Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack Turbo-Boost Hydra Gel.

I have one thing to say about this eye gel, a waste of money. It isn’t a bad product to use on the eyes, but its claims of stopping your eyes being puffy is a load of rubbish. It helped my eyes feel cool in the mornings one day and then it would irritate them another so I’m actually glad to see this product finished and in the bin. I wouldn’t buy it again because it was a waste of money at nearly £10 for this tiny little jar, but if I was given it for free I would gladly use it! I’ve replaced it with an old favourite, which I’m already enjoying using. I wrote about this back in October last year in a favourites post, which you can read here and a haul post here.

  • Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo.

This was a sample given to me over the weekend when I went shopping with my friend Poppy in Milton Keynes. I’d been dying to try out this shampoo for ages but felt a tad apprehensive for reasons such as “will it dry my hair out?” or “will it make it frizzy?” as my hair can go really frizzy and hard to handle if I use a shampoo on it that it doesn’t like. However when I tried this sample out on Sunday I was pleasantly surprised! My hair felt and looked really thick and voluminous and as well as that it looked really clean. I’m really happy with how it made my hair look and feel… However it did make my hair harder to brush which was annoying… But either way I love this shampoo and in the future I will be buying the full size bottle!

So those were my empties for June! I wonder if I’ll have as many empty products after July… We shall see!

I hope everyone’s weeks are going well, weekend will be upon us soon!

Until next time, take care all.
