The Colourful Soap Company – Review*

I feel like I haven’t written a beauty review for the longest time and I really do miss it! Sometimes geeky stuff just gets in the way, so every once in a while when I get the chance to write a beauty review I love it so much.

Thanks to the beaut that is Emily (The Emily Chapters) who runs Coventry Bloggers I get the chance to work with some amazing companies, both big and small. This just happens to be one of the many companies I’ve worked with, a new and independent one at that.

The Colourful Soap Company are a fairly new independent soap company who have only been around since February. They specialise in making fully customise able soaps in all sorts of ways with prices starting as little as £2.

So when I was emailed by Emily to let me know I’d been successful in working with The Colourful Soap Company, I was pretty damn excited! I picked my shape, colour and scent a few weeks later I received my soap! I couldn’t wait to get home and give it a go.

This item was gifted to myself for reviewing purposes and all words are my own.

I opted for a purple and white unicorn with a cotton candy scent. The scent of this reminds me of something you would pick up from Lush and due to that I already loved it when I took it out of the packet for a sniff.

The first use I decided to use it on my body, which lathered up really nicely in my shower sponge and after use made me feel squeaky clean and smelling lovely. It also left my skin feeling silky soft which was really nice and took me by surprise to be honest with you! Personally however I didn’t use this on my body again as I didn’t feel it was for me… I’ve just never been a HUGE soap fan to be fair when it comes to washing with it.

I tried this on my hands too, which left them feeling really soft and moisturised but the thing I love using this soap on the most is for shaving.

Stay with me here because I know it sounds odd but when it comes down to shaving I do like to change it up from using shaving gels to hair conditioners and soaps as I find they last longer for the money and sometimes the leave my pins feeling so much softer too, which is exactly what this soap does.

I feel like this helps me get a smooth, quick and easy glide when shaving and it’s perfect! It leaves a lovely moisturised feeling behind on my legs too, which is perfect after shaving them.

These soaps by The Colourful Soap Company are perfect for gifts, treats for yourself and would even make great ideas for parties and events. For the price too these are so worth the money, especially with how customise able you can be.

I honestly love The Colourful Soap Company and would buy from them in the future! I would love for them to try and emulate some of the Lush scents, especially ones you can’t purchase anymore!

I’d also love to see them branch out to making wax tarts too. 😀

If you love the sound of The Colourful Soap Company then make sure to go and check out their social media pages below.

If you’re interested in grabbing yourself a soap or two make sure to drop them a message on their Facebook page and have a chat about what options you have for your soap!

What would your perfect soap be? Shape, colour and scent? Make sure to let me know in the comments! I think mine would have to be a fox shaped soap, orange and smells of Lush’s discontinued Christmas scent Yog Nog. It smells of caramel biscuits. It’s amazing! 😀

Until next time all I hope you’re having a lovely weekend!

Lush Halloween & Christmas 2017

Wow I can’t believe it. The Lush Creative Showcase has come and gone and I still regret not booking a ticket and going… Next time I will for sure!

It’s only September and Lush have not only announced what will be up for grabs this Halloween and Christmas, BUT they’ve released all the goodies online for us to buy NOW. Erm, what?!

I just want to get this out here that I am super pissed off about so many products that haven’t made a return. The main one being So White bath bomb, a bath bomb I have bought at least once every year since its release in 2009. FYI this was my favourite year for Lush Christmas as it had some of the best releases in my mind. Most of them are now shitty Lush Kitchen exclusives…

As well as that Lush hasn’t brought back Father Christmas bath bomb (Snow Fairy scented), Stardust bath bomb (was an amazing price and smelt amazing), Reindeer & Robin fun (cola scented), Santasaurus re-useable bubble bar (which I REALLY wanted to try last year and never got to!) and Peeping Santa bubble bar (strawberry scented). I’m sure there’s more I could think of as well! Either way I’m mostly disappointed that Yog Nog has COMPLETELY gone. What the fuck Lush?! :S Disappointed is not the word.

I also want to get this out there that I think Lush have REALLY put their prices up lately and it’s also very disappointing. Nearly £5.00 for a bath bomb?! For a few years now I’ve had a serious love/hate relationship with Lush and it’s usually due to their prices. I remember when I could walk into Lush and buy 2 bags of goodies for £30.00. Not those 2 bags would cost me near to £100.00. I seem to only really buy Lush when the Boxing Day sale hits, which is a shame. It really does say something about me… and I don’t care! If I can stock up on Lush products to last me the whole year then why the hell not?! I’ll be doing that again this year for sure.

ANYWAY! Instead of being gloomy about amazing Christmas exclusives that have come and gone, I wanted to share with you guys today about what I’m excited to pick up throughout the rest of the year from Lush!

Also! I will only be talking in depth about products that are new or ones that are coming back from the previous year(s) that I haven’t yet tried… So are technically still new to me! 😛

First I’ll start with Halloween products.

  • Monsters Ball bath bomb – £4.50 (link)

This little cutie is returning for a second year and due to not being able to try him last year, I’m really pleased for him to be back! He smells of lime Fruit Pastilles and come on, just look at him! He’s a little cutie, for a monster. I’ll definitely be buying a couple of him this year when I get back from holiday to try out. Lush seem to see lime scented things as their sort of Halloween signature fragrance, which to me isn’t very “spooky” but I’m not complaining! 😛

  • Bewitched bubble bar – £4.25 (link)

This is a newbie to the Halloween collection this year and one that I like the sound of! Alongside the lime scent, Lush always have something blackcurrant scented too. I’m not complaining! 😛 This bubble bar looks and sounds really nice so although it’s probably not one I’ll rush out and buy if I smell it and I like it, I might buy one. 😛 From the website it turns your bath water black and sparkly and I’m down for both of those!

  • Black Rose lipstick – £6.50 (link)

I’ve used Lush lipsticks and tints in the past and they’re pretty amazing to be honest! I’ve been using my Sugar Plum Fairy lip tint from last year and I forgot how great it is! Due to that I really want to pick this one up! It looks black in the tube but when applied to the lips is a vampy dark raspberry pink shade. Perfect for the colder months! I mostly love how these moisturise as you wear them, which is something I’m always after in a lipstick.

That’s sadly all the Halloween products I’m after this year, which I’m sure my bank balance appreciates!

Now onto the Christmas goodies I want… Bank balance is going to soon be hating me. 😉

  • Thundersnow bath bomb – £4.50 (link)

When I saw this being spoken about at the showcase I thought I recognised it, but it wasn’t out for Christmas last year so I did a little digging as to where I would have seen it before and discovered that it was actually a limited edition product at the Lush Summit at the start of the year! Crazy, huh? All that time and now it’s out for Christmas. It sounds amazing though. It has peppermint and cocoa butter in so it sounds like it’ll smell of After Eight chocolates. YUM! It also looks really cool, like a disco zebra. 😛

  • Snow Fairy jelly bomb – £4.96 (link)

As many Lush fans will know Lush recently brought out their jelly bombs and they look pretty cool to be honest! I’m not going to be trying it myself however until I need to buy more bath bombs and bubble bars. I still have some bath bombs to use up from last Christmas! I definitely want my first go at them to be Snow Fairy scented though. These are really expensive though at pretty much £5 and although I can get 2 baths out of it, I need to consider if I really want to pay that much for ONE bath bomb. I’ll probably wait until the Boxing Day sale to grab this…

  • Sherbet Dip bath bomb – £3.75 (link)

This is one that I think is REALLY random for Christmas and to me it just doesn’t scream Christmas at all. If anything it reminds me of the school holidays in the summer and going to the corner shop with your mates to buy sherbet dip and other crappy sweeties. This is from memory the cheapest Christmas bath bombs that Lush has brought out this year and I have wondered if that’s one of the reasons that people have bought it… Either way it sounds really nice and I’d like to give it a go, but I’m not fussed if I miss out on it. It sounds similar to Fizzbanger bath bomb.

  • Plum Snow bubble bar – £5.95 (link)

I have to get this off of my chest and say what a cheek I think it is to charge £6.00 for a bubble bar. I don’t care how big it is or how many baths you’ll get from it. That’s expensive. I can make my own bubble bars for less and get more… I think. 😛 Either way it’s a fucking shame to be honest because this bubble bar sounds amazing! By the name it obviously shares its scent with Plum Rain shower gel, which I still need to smell! It sounds delicious… Just a shame about the price. I’ll be waiting until Boxing Day to buy this.

  • Man In The Moon bubble bar – £5.95 (link)

This is another newbie for Christmas this year and like Sherbet Dip bubble bar, it just doesn’t scream Christmas to me… If anything it could remind me of stories you would have been told Christmas Eve… By the sounds of it it shares its scent with Monsters Ball due to the lime fragrance, which I like the sound of! It’s also funny how they both have one eye each. Can’t go wrong with that!

  • My Two Front Teeth bubble bar – £3.95 (link)

Again, what the hell Lush? This is such a random shape for a Christmas product and I don’t get why it’s here! Maybe it was a random toy that someone in the Lush creative team had when they were growing up. If this is the case then why didn’t Lush include a little moustache too??? This sounds lovely scent wise however and would be one I’d pick up if it was as good as it sounds. It contains vanilla and lavender so this would be a lovely bubble bar to use in the evenings, especially for children due to how fun the bubble bar looks too.

  • Christmas Cracker bubble bar – £5.95 (link)

This is one I’m unsure if I’ll like or not due to the scent, as it has that citrus lemon and lime smell going on, which Lush seem to be loving this Christmas. BUT they actually have a product out that is Christmassy! This looks like a pretty big bubble bar to be honest but again it’s so damn expensive! I have a feeling it has a bath melt on it as well, but it doesn’t state that. It does however contain popping candy so it’s a fun one for children to use around bonfire night.

  • The Snowman bubbleroon – £4.25 (link)

I love bubbleroons so much! I find they’re really soothing for the skin and especially great during the colder months when your skin is feeling dry and needs some serious TLC. I’ve not tried the snowman bubble bars or melts before, but I wouldn’t mind changing that this year. This contains orange to brighten your spirits and soya milk and shea butter to soften your dry skin. This again would be a cute one to give to children to use.

  • Star Light Star Bright bath melt – £4.25 (link)

This apparently shares its scent with Golden Wonder bath bomb (which is now my favourite Christmas bath bomb now that they’ve discontinued So White…). It contains lime oil as well as ginger, so I’m not sure what this would smell like. I’m pretty sure this is also a reoccurring product that was around for a few years before 2016. If that’s the case then I know a lot of Lushies will be happy to see this back!

  • Snow Fairy FUN – £6.95 (link)

This isn’t a new product and actually came out last year, BUT again it’s a product I never got to try and wanted to. I’ll definitely pick one up this year though, I LOVE the Lush FUN. It’s a multipurpose product but I love mostly using it as a bubble bar, to wash with and surprisingly even to use as a shave gel for my legs. Hey! Why can’t I shave my legs and smell like a fairy at the same time? 😛 This is actually the only FUN Lush have brought out for Christmas this year, which I’m really disappointed about. Again I also sound like a misery BUT I remember when FUN was £5.00… Don’t you? :S

  • Salt And Peppermint Bark body scrub – £6.95 (link)

Again, another returning favourite has come back for a second, if not third year now! AND I AM STILL YET TO TRY IT! This has clearly done well each year for it to come back and would be an amazing partner to team up with Christingle and Thundersnow for a minty and fresh bath.

  • Snow Fairy cold pressed soap – £5.95 (link)

I’ve never used cold pressed soap before but as old and regular readers of mine will know, I HATE Lush soaps. I’ll use them if gifted or bought them, but I would never go out of my way to buy them. They often flare up my eczema and case sore and dry patches on my skin and always, ALWAYS dry up my hands and make them sore. I think the only time I’ve used Lush soaps is for shaving my legs and that’s usually the rare few I can use, one being Rock Star. I’m willing to give the cold pressed soaps a go though, they sound like they’re better for your skin and they look nice in their round little pill shape. ALSO IT’S SNOW FAIRY! I have to give it a go! I’d probably not use this for my hands, but instead get a nice soap dish for the bathroom and have it for washing hands.

  • Berry Berry Christmas shower gel – 250g – £11.95 and 500g – £17.95 (link)
  • Berry Berry Christmas naked shower gel – 240g – £11.75 (link)

This is one of the two new shower gels that Lush has brought out for Christmas this year and I’d like to say that that they have done an amazing fucking job! Last year they brought out Bubble shower gel which was my favourite new product of 2016 (you can read my review here). I don’t think this will be my favourite out of the two but you never know as I haven’t actually smelt them yet! This just sounds so fruity and delicious and I love scents like that as it contains cranberry and blueberry BOTH OF MY FAVOURITE FRUITS! This also contains loads of lustre as well, which looks amazing throughout the bottle from what I’ve seen on pictures. I can’t wait to give this a sniff!

  • Santa’s Christmas shower cream – 250g – £10.95 and 500g – £17.95 (link)
  • Santa’s Christmas naked shower cream – 240g – £10.75 (link)

THIS is what my favourite product of 2017 is looking to be. It shares its scent with Reindeer And Robin FUN and the Santa’s Baby lip tint and lip scrub which had a cola scent. Not exactly Christmassy but it’s really warming and reminds me of winter now thanks to Lush. I already know I want to pick up another Santa Baby lipstick BUT I definitely want to get the 500g bottle of Santa’s Christmas. Everyone is saying how gorgeous it smells and when used in the shower it leaves a long lasting scent on the skin. I was going to order one of these before I go on holiday, but I might as well wait until I get back. Lush have brought this out in a naked version which I very much doubt I’ll be getting. It just looks so fiddly to use!

  • Christingle body conditioner – 100g – £9.95 and 250g – £17.95 (link)
  • Christingle naked body conditioner – £9.75 (link)

I KNOW this has been around for about 2 years now BUT I am still to try it. I was gifted a Snow Fairy body conditioner last year and I haven’t used it yet. I intend to use it when I’m back from my holiday. This is going on the list as I still want to buy and use it, so it’s still technically new to me. It’s a minty body conditioner that you use in the shower after cleansing your skin. Like an in shower body lotion basically. I’ve used these in the past (the Nivea ones) and they work amazing! I haven’t yet used a Lush one, but I really want to. I’ll definitely be picking this up, I LOVE minty shower products. I’d definitely team it up with Intergalactic bath bomb. As you may have heard Lush have brought out some naked items this year including the body conditioners, body lotions and shower gels and creams. I don’t think I’d opt for the naked versions myself, they just sound and look too messy and fiddly.

  • Once Upon A Time body lotion – 100g – £7.95 and 225g – £13.95 and 500g (link)
  • Once Upon A Time naked body lotion – £7.95 (link)

So White looks to have been discontinued and in its place we have been gifted with Once Upon A Time body lotion AND a naked body lotion… I can’t complain, I have some sort of replacement BUT what if I didn’t want a body lotion? 😛 In all fairness I could do with moisturising my skin more, but I never feel like I have the time between working, blogging and being a lazy gaming moo. 😛 I wouldn’t mind giving this a go in store and seeing what I think. If anything I’d pick this up in the Boxing Day sale if it’s on offer.

  • Snow Fairy sparkle jar – £6.95 (link)

Snow Fairy is one of my favourite Christmas scents and I remember quite a while ago now that Lush brought out a massage bar in the classic Lush Christmas scent. I never bought it and I regret it so much. I knew a few people who purely got it to burn and use as a wax melt. I wouldn’t do that myself as it’d be an expensive wax melt! BUT I would love to pick up the new sparkle jar version of this to use when me and Dane give each other back massages. He loves the Snow Fairy scent just as much as I do so this one is right up our streets. The one thing I don’t like about this is the shimmer inside. I wouldn’t really use it in all fairness so this product seems like a waste of money to me.

  • Twilight sparkle jar – £6.95 (link)

This is exactly the same as the Snow Fairy sparkle jar, shimmer included! The only difference of course being the scent. This has the classic Twilight scent to it and although I’m swaying towards the Snow Fairy sparkle jar if I had to buy one, I also really like the sound of getting Twilight for back massages before bed. If I pick either of these up though it’ll be in the Boxing Day sales. 😛

FINALLY AFTER WRITING THIS POST FOR ABOUT 4 HOURS IT IS DONE! I’m not joking either. I’ve been faffing around from doing a live Instagram video, to messaging friends. It is finally done and here!

Overall what are my thoughts on Lush’s winter 2017 range? I’m pretty meh about it really. I know I have a decent list of products I want to smell and try but meh I don’t know what to think really. Apart from a couple of scents I don’t think majority of the products are actually anything to do with Christmas. When were citrus scents classed as Christmassy? Or a random pair of teeth and a man in the moon? I know a lot of people have said similar if not the same things as I have. I’ll buy some of the stuff but not as much as I will have bought in previous years, which to me is a shame.

When I get back from holiday I hope to go to Lush and check out ALL the new Christmas products and pick up a few bits. Hopefully anyway. 😛

What do you think of the Halloween and Christmas range this year? Make sure to let me know your thoughts in the comments down below.

Until next time all take car and I hope you’ve had an awesome weekend!

Lush Santa’s Postbox Soap – Review*

Woohoo it is the first Lush Christmas review of the year! I don’t think I reviewed any Christmas goodies last year which is a real shame to be honest. I just never ended up buying anything until the Boxing Day sales… Hey if I can grab loads of bargains then hell why not?!

A couple of weeks ago I attended a Lush bloggers event in their Coventry store (you can read about it here!) and when the event was over they gave us all goody bags which was amazing! I got four items altogether, one being a bubble bar I got to make during the event, as well as the soap I am about to review.

Santa’s Postbox is a new edition to Lush’s Christmas products this year and one I really like. I’ve never been a big fan of the Lush soaps for various reasons, the main one being that I’m allergic to a lot of Lush’s soaps. However I haven’t yet had a negative experience with this soap.

Lush describe Santa’s Postbox as:

Attention please! Attention please!
Last call for post! No time to freeze!
Rush to the postbox. Lick the stamp.
Ignore the painful writer’s cramp.
Ha ha, you’ll say, new gifts for me!
Ho ho, he’ll answer, wait and see!

The colourful envelopes and presents inside every chunk of this soap were posted before yours, so there’s no time to waste! When you’re ready to seek out the nearest pillar box, simply follow your nose. Fresh satsumas are squeezed to give this an energising, citrusy scent. Orange flower absolute, bergamot and Sicilian mandarin oils evoke the inimitable excitement of peeling the satsuma at the bottom of your stocking.

some_text

The soap before it is cut up looks amazing and just like a red British postbox and shares it’s scent with Satsuma bath bomb. The bath bomb was originally called Dashing Santa but Lush have changed it this year and also made it an Oxford Street Exclusive. It smells as you can guess just like juicy satsumas and like oranges and lemons which I love! It’s really nice to use in the evenings as a pick me up and in the mornings before work to wake me up. Depending how the big postbox soap is cut depends on the colour of your chunk of soap. Mine is mostly red with one dark orange patch. I love the colour of it.

As this contains extra virgin coconut oil it means it’s lovely and moisturising for the skin, which I love as when the weather gets colder my eczema really does hit strongly, so I need something that will calm it down during the week when it’s flaring.

I mostly use this soap in the bath after a long day at work as well as for using to shave with both in the shower and in the bath. That’s what I mostly do with Lush soaps as I find they work great for shaving due to the creamy lather they produce. However due to the gel like consistency of this soap it doesn’t lather up as creamy as (for example) Rock Star soap would.

I have noticed the past couple of days a little bit of a drying on my legs and I’m unsure if this is from the soap or from something else. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was from the soap sadly but I’ll make sure to keep my eye on it of course!

Sadly I don’t know what size chunk Lush gave me, but I can only assume that it was their standard 100g size. The soap is available to buy in a small 100g size for £3.25, a medium 250g size for £8.10 or a large 500g size for £16.25.

Personally I probably wouldn’t pick Santa’s Postbox up again, not because I don’t like it because I love it, but because I want to try other soaps instead.

I know this isn’t a very long Lush review but I’m not going to lie… What can I really say about a soap? 😛

Have you tried Santa’s Postbox? If so what do you think of it? Or if you haven’t tried it yet would you like to pick it up? Also!!! Make sure to let me know what your favourite Lush Christmas product is this year.

Until next time, take care all and have a lovely weekend!

Lush Coventry Halloween & Christmas BBlogger Event (WARNING! Picture Heavy!)*

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 15 21 pm_zps62mm0y0x.jpg

Oh my God I have never been so excited to write a post for quite a long time. As regular readers will know I LOVE Lush and I especially love when they come out with their new Halloween and Christmas products every year.

SO when the Coventry store called out for bloggers to go to their store for an event last week I jumped at the chance! I have been to the Coventry store various times in the past and it’s a lovely little store.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 8 05 20 pm_zpsq9ffhc1y.jpg

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 8 05 15 pm_zpsopeqsc5v.jpg

The event itself to date has been one of my favourites that I have attended and I really hope to attend more like it in the future. The staff were friendly and chatty and the fellow bloggers who were there were all lovely.

Apart from having a nose and sniff of all the new goodies the staff also talked us through all the new products which was great! When you visit Lush over Christmas it is constantly busy so you’re forever wanting to get shown how to use things but never being able to properly. So this was a great chance to see all the products properly and even try them ourselves.

The first thing we were shown were the body and face products which I was excited to look at. Buche De Noel an old Christmas favourite was the first thing to be shown to us. I’ve never tried it before but it’s said to be a creamy and softening face cleanser. You can get it in the normal version and alcohol free. If you like this old favourite then this year they have a special gift called Festive Fresh which contains Buche De Noel and Let The Good Times Roll.

A face product that they didn’t have in store (nor show us due to that I imagine) was the Papa Noel face wash jelly. When you take it out of the packaging it’s in the shape of a white Father Christmas beard. It’s the first time Lush have made anything like this and it looks like fun to use. I hope I get chance to look at it in a store soon!

The second item they showed us is a new one for Halloween this year which is Goth Fairy. This is part of the massage bar range but it contains shimmer so when it’s rubbed onto the skin it leaves behind a bit of shimmer. Well I say a bit, but it’s quite a generous amount! I stepped forward to have this demoed on me and it really does feel lovely. I was tempted to buy one of these to use on me and Dane as a massage bar for our backs, but due to the shimmer I left it. The scent of this reminded me The Comforter a little bit with its blackcurrant scent. This will be a great product to apply before a night out, especially over the Christmas period! As this is part of the Halloween range you need to make sure you pick one up before they fly away.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 53 38 pm_zpsaidpq5ts.jpg

As a fan of the Twilight scent and family I KNEW I would love the Sleepy body lotion, which is new this year. I hope Lush bring this out in the Lush Kitchen often to keep us lot happy! This isn’t a super thick body lotion and when you first open the pot it has some silver shimmer on the top which makes it look too good to use! I tried this on my hands during the event and it made them feel really nice and soft. As regular readers of my blog will know I suffer with eczema and so I’m always trying out different hand creams to try and help it. This one seems like a winner and one I’ll definitely be picking up before Christmas is over! It smells just like the shower gel too, but not as intense which I really liked. It’ll be a nice one to use before bed.

There was more products that the staff showed us, but sadly I didn’t get pictures. One being the Fairy Dust dusting powder, which is a returning favourite from last year. It smells just like Snow Fairy and I was given one last year by a friend. It smells gorgeous and due to it containing shimmer it’s lovely to use before nights out.

For Christmas Lush have also introduced a new dusting powder called Mr Sandman, which shares its scent with the Twilight family! It smells lovely, but not as good as the shower gel and body lotion in my opinion. If I had to choose one of the two new items that are out this year, the body lotion would be mine. This is a white dusting powder so it doesn’t leave behind any colour after use, just plenty of shimmer!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 59 25 pm_zpsk4ffe3ih.jpg

After looking at those items we were moved onto shower and there are a couple of new pieces for Christmas. The first one we looked at was Salt And Peppermint Bark body scrub which Lush brought out last year. I’m so glad they’ve brought it back as I never got the chance to try it last year! This smells like peppermint chocolate bark, which is obviously where this gets its name from.

Sadly this year there aren’t any new shower jellies, but Lush have brought back Santa’s Belly which was a new one last year. It is said to share its scent with So White bath bomb, but I don’t think so at all! So White is crisp apple smelling, whilst this one has a different scent in my eyes. It’s red with red stars inside of it. Nice to use in the mornings to wake you up! The Coventry store has a huge version of it on display, which I played with for a bit.

Lush have also brought back Snowman shower jelly which has been around for as long as I can remember! The store has a big version of this too like Santa’s Belly, but sadly my picture turned out blurry of it. 😦  It comes in the shape of a snowman, which looks really cute when you take it out of the tub. It smells of gentle citrus and like Santa’s Belly will be lovely to use in the morning before work to wake you up.

Another product from last year that I was super excited about has come back again this year! YAY, and something that makes it better is that it is now available in two sizes instead of just the large size. This is Christingle body conditioner. It’s like a body lotion that you use in the shower. You apply this to the skin after using a shower gel and rinse it off to be left with beautiful smooth and yummy smelling skin. Due to the mint and menthol in this one it leaves your skin feeling tingly and cool. Probably not what you want in winter, but it smells amazing AND look at that gorgeous blue colour!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 01 57 pm_zpsoy6rmus6.jpg

Alongside Christingle Lush have brought another body conditioner out this year, however this one is new and one everyone has already fallen in love with. Of course it is Snow Fairy body conditioner and oh my God it smells beautiful! I know I already want to pick one of these up and hopefully quite a few in the Boxing Day sales. Like the shower gel the conditioner is pink, but when you open up your new tub it will have some shimmer on the top just like the Sleepy body lotion. Oh Lush why do you do this to my bank account?

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 59 43 pm_zpsictftods.jpg

Of course it wouldn’t be a Lush Christmas without Snow Fairy! I’ve recently opened my 1kg bottle that Dane bought me for my birthday. There isn’t much I can say about this. It smells beautiful, it looks beautiful, so go buy it. 😛

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 59 36 pm_zpsxhmfhd75.jpg

Rose Jam shower gel has been around for a couple of years now and I don’t actually remember it ever coming out. I do however remember everyone obsessing about it last year! I personally don’t see what all the fuss is about this shower gel, but that’s just me. It does have a floral yet sweet smell behind it. I was gifted the bubbleroon version of this last Christmas and I absolutely loved it! I’ve got a Rose Jam to use so I’ll make sure to review it soon! 😀

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 02 01 pm_zpsaqax3yia.jpg

This isn’t for Christmas and is actually for Halloween, however Lord Of Misrule shower cream is available all year in the Oxford Street store, so this is just a goody for anyone who can’t make it to that store. I still want to give this a go as I really do like the scent of it.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 59 27 pm_zpsw1qfulwb.jpg

The newest member of the Christmas shower gel family this year is Bubbly and oh boy this is probably my favourite new thing this year that Lush has brought out. I ended up buying one of these after the event as I loved it that much. It shares its scent with Golden Wonder bath bomb, so an uplifting and citrus scent thanks to ingredients such as grapefruit, lemon and grapes. I already know I’ll be buying a huge bottle of this as it’s just such a beautiful scent.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 59 46 pm_zps83xbg4u7.jpg

The last shower item we were shown were Candy Cane and Yog Log shower roulade. Now I’m not a huuuuge fan of these as I find they’re quite expensive for what they do to my skin. However when I heard that Lush weren’t bringing back Yog Nog as either the soap or the bath bomb I was GUTTED! I did get to try this in store however and it felt really lovely when applied to the skin. So it is something I will be trying at some point! I doubt that I’ll fall in love with it mind. I mean come on Lush!? I want Yog Nog back! 😛 I was actually expecting them to bring out a shower cream to be honest, but alas it didn’t happen. I may have to make my own with the two Yog Nog bath bombs I have left.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 13 18 pm_zpsjw9bynxl.jpg

Next we moved onto the soaps. I’m not a huge fan of Lush soaps (apart from Yog Nog and Rock Star) as I’m allergic to quite a lot of them so I often more than not steer clear of them. At Christmas though I always give the new and existing ones a sniff and this year I discovered quite a few I liked the smell of.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 32 23 pm_zpstilmp1b3.jpg

This is Igloo soap and it reminds me of a mixture of Turkish Delight and fruit pastilles. That being said this soap does infact smell of Turkish Delight which in turn reminded me of Angels Delight soap that Lush had out for various years until last year. I didn’t like that soap sadly due to it giving me an awful allergic reaction. The smell is lovely mind. This will make a lovely gift for someone to open on Christmas Day who loves fruit pastilles.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 33 27 pm_zpsjjpxlqra.jpg

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 33 29 pm_zpscot2izup.jpg

This is one of my least favourite products this year and it isn’t due to the appearance or scent. I LOVED Reindeer Rock last year and the year before. Before the change it was purple, with silver reindeer on and it smelt just like The Comforter. I LOVED it! Now it is blue, looks like a pebble with a gold reindeer on and smells NOTHING LIKE IT DID BEFORE! WHAT?! It smells more floral now and whilst it doesn’t smell horrible, it just isn’t the same. I would have expected Lush to change the name of it to be honest. Either way it does look pretty, just a shame about the scent change…

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 33 32 pm_zpsmmsb2otg.jpg

These two are definitely my favourite soaps this year and I can actually see me buying a chunk of them both to try.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 33 37 pm_zpsab42mcol.jpg

My favourite of the two and out of all the soaps is definitely Baked Alaska. It’s been around for a couple of years now from memory and I never really recall it smelling like this beforehand but it is gorgeous. It reminds me of Bubbly with its citrus scents, such as grapefruit. It is definitely one that would wake you up in the morning to use. Sadly due to the type of soap this is (gel look) I have a feeling I’ll be allergic to it. Sad times. 😦

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 33 35 pm_zpsbsu4cphp.jpg

This was definitely an eye catching soap and one I really love the look of. If I got a decent chunk I would end up wanting to just have it for show over Christmas on a soap dish instead of using it! No I joke. This is Snowcastle soap and like Baked Alaska it has been around for a while from memory. This smells of creamy marzipan and is one for people with a sweet tooth! It isn’t too sweet scent wise though. This is a creamy soap and I have a feeling my skin will like this one, especially my hands.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 33 40 pm_zpsip53gsci.jpg

This is a new soap this year and one that I’ve seen quite a few people go crazy for. When I first saw and heard about Shooting Stars soap I immediately assumed it would smell the same as Shoot For The Stars bath bomb due to the appearance. Alas it is nothing like it and actually smells of lemon and lime which smells delicious! This soap is very pretty to look at but it’s also a little bit special. When put in the dark or at least a dark room the UV in the stars makes the stars glow. Magical or what?!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 33 49 pm_zpszyvajamp.jpg

I didn’t get a very good picture of this soap sadly, which I was pretty gutted about! But this is Santa’s Postbox soap and it is gorgeous to look at! It’s in an English red postbox shape and it just looks amazing. It also smells great too and shares its scent with Satsuma bath bomb due to the orange and satsuma scent. I got given  chunk of this from the store to take home but sadly due to the gel style consistency of this soap I’m worried that I may end up having an allergic reaction… We will have to see how I get on! I’ll be reviewing this for sure.

Alongside all those soaps there were two I sadly didn’t manage to get pictures of such as them being Halloween soaps and I was kinda too excited for the Christmas ones. I did smell these of course and they are really lovely. Fireside soap reminds me of bonfire night due to the smokey yet soothing scent of it. I would love to buy this but I don’t know if I would use it enough. It’s a very manly scent. There was also Magic Wand soap which is full of yummy fruity scents and one that will definitely wake you up on a cold autumn morning.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 24 34 pm_zpscxisezlq.jpg

These are just two of the many new Christmas products I was excited to see at the event and I ended up buying the Sugar Plum Fairy lip tint after the event finished. YAY! I haven’t yet used it though but I intend to after today and review it as soon as possible.

As well as the Sugar Plum Fairy range Lush have brought back the red cola smelling lip products Santa Baby lip scrub and lip tint. I tried the new lip tint in the tube (I’ve only ever owned the one in the tin) and it really does tint, if not stains your lips! I would love to pick one of these up before Christmas is over. I’ve owned both in the past and they really are lovely lip products so I was excited to try the new ones which have a yummy blackcurrant taste and scent, just like The Comforter… Which in turn is one of my favourite scents by Lush.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 24 39 pm_zpsgucijqdq.jpg

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 24 41 pm_zpsnm2kleon.jpg

I’m surprised I didn’t pick up the Sugar Plum Fairy lip scrub after the event as it smelt delicious, just like Ribena so I can only imagine it would taste just as amazing as well! I love the Lush lip scrubs as they’re great value for money and really are good to use before applying liquid lipsticks. However I always forget to use them and they end up being a waste of money… If someone gifts me this this Christmas I won’t complain but due to the above fact I can’t see me buying it myself. 😦

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 24 53 pm_zpsmxsejj12.jpg

This is the Sugar Plum Fairy lip tint. LOOK HOW DAMN PIGMENTED THAT IS! Oh and the colour is gorgeous too of course! I didn’t expect it to be as bright as it came out. It looks like a dark purple in the tube but comes out as a raspberry pink with some pink and purple shimmer, which is only slight. This reminds me of Rebel lipstick by MAC. I honestly cannot wait to wear this to work and review it.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 53 22 pm_zps1pmmc10g.jpg

Onto the part of this post that I’m sure everyone is excited for, the bath bombs and bubble bars! I have loads to talk about here, both old and new products.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 20 22 pm_zpsm19eruat.jpg

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 20 24 pm_zpsutlyqyik.jpg

Candy Mountain bubble bar is an oldie that has changed shape over the years, but a few years back it finally found it’s form and is the beautiful mini mountain we all know and love today. It smells exactly the same as Creamy Candy bubble bar and Rock Star soap. If you like Snow Fairy you’ll love these as it smells like a sweet creamy vanilla scent.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 20 31 pm_zpsrxou1dtt.jpg

These are the two new reuseable bubble bar by Lush and they’re both amazing!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 20 34 pm_zpsw1h8pcs9.jpg

The first one is Jester, a cute little guy who will appeal to children a lot. It is a citrus scented bubble bar which will be lovely to use after a long day when you need to be perked up a little bit. I know I’ll be picking one of these cuties up! I love how colourful it is and I bet it makes the bath water a lovely orange colour to match its scent. This teamed up with Bubble shower gel will work perfectly.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 20 36 pm_zpsmjfeox0c.jpg

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 13 pm_zpsc6alijes.jpg

This is another one of my favourite bubble bars this year! It’s Santasaurus and it smells just like Honey I Washed The Kids soap, so of yummy toffee and sweet treats. Plus look how cute it is?! It’s a little dinosaur with a Christmas hat on! Yes you wouldn’t expect to see it at Christmas but this is why Lush are so great when it comes to Christmas. They come out with different things and not always traditional, which I love. I bet this turns the bath water a beautiful turquoise shade. I’m so excited to try it.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 56 57 pm_zpsc3wwzdpe.jpg

Magic Wand is a returning favourite to Lush and I still have a couple of these left in my Lush box. These share their scent with Snow Fairy and create some amazing bubbles when put under a running tap.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 00 pm_zpswosaigke.jpg

This is a returning reuseable bubble bar from last year and is one that whilst I’m not a fan of the scent, it’s definitely one of the best looking of the four! It’s The Magic Of Christmas and is a gold star bubble bar on a cinnamon stick. It smells warm and delicious of cinnamon and clove. If you love scents like this then you will love this one!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 55 32 pm_zps3cm1irhl.jpg

Peeping Santa bubble bar is another returner from last year and one I’m excited to see again! I got one of these for Christmas and I didn’t think I would like it, but I loved using it in one of the first baths I had in our house. It’s a soft strawberry scent and is very conditioning for the skin. I want to pick up quite a few of these in the Boxing Day sales!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 53 26 pm_zps0kkl4uaj.jpg

I am so damn happy to see this little cutie back, The Christmas Penguin! Lush didn’t bring him back last Christmas and myself and lots of other Lushies were really sad about it. Finally he has returned and I can’t wait to pick one up. He has a lovely soft scent which reminds me of Johnson’s baby bath. If I remember right this is a bubble bar aimed at children but sod it, adults love this cutie just as much.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 56 55 pm_zps5kthtnjk.jpg

This bubble bar is called Snowie and is clearly inspired by David Bowie. The legend died at the start of this year, which was a terrible shame. 😦 So from what I can gather, Lush decided to show their love for him in this way. This bubble bar reminds me of something that I can’t quite put my finger on. It’s said to have grapefruit in but I can’t really smelly it to be honest. It reminds me a little of Tramp shower gel and Supertramp bubble bar, but a softer smelling version. I’ll definitely be buying one.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 16 pm_zpsi735darf.jpg width=

Finally we have Ruby Red Slippers bubble bar this year which is a returner after seven years. Yes you read that correctly 7 YEARS! This is also the bubble bar we got the chance to make ourselves, which was so much fun! This smells heavily of cinnamon and is a very warming bubble bar. It’s bright red and have red glitter all over it too. I’m not a massive fan of the scent as it gives me a bit of a headache. It is clearly inspired by the shoes that Dorothy wears in The Wizard of Oz and a lot of people probably wouldn’t relate the film to Christmas, but I sure do. From the age of 5 I remember year after year attempting to watch this movie before bed on Christmas Eve and always falling to sleep around the time she meets the Scarecrow. When I was 9 my dad bought it for me for Christmas so I could finally watch it without worrying about falling to sleep. I was so happy!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 27 36 pm_zpsel6kyyct.jpg

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 44 pm_zpsdwg6yt0f.jpg

Now it’s time to talk about bath bombs! There are quite a few new ones out which is awesome. My favourite things to buy from Lush are always the bubble bars, bath bombs and shower gels/creams. 😀

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 49 pm_zpsu1dhqwnw.jpg

This is one of the new bath bombs for this year which is called Mistletoe and I really don’t like it! Which is a shame as it looks so damn pretty. It’s a very strong floral scented bath bomb and I’m not a fan of that at all sadly. If you love ylang ylang then you will love this bath bomb!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 47 pm_zpshhutn60m.jpg

This cutie is a new version of Shoot For The Stars and I don’t know if I prefer it or not, I think I do however. It’s blue with gold star melts inside. It shares its scent with Honey I Washed The Kids which has a yummy toffee scent. I was given one of these in my goody bag after the event and it smells just like the previous versions. This is one of my favourite bath bombs so I can’t wait to see what it’ll be like with its new design.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 31 pm_zpsyfs683pf.jpg

This is another new bath bomb this year which everyone has gone crazy over due to Roller bath bomb. Never Mind The Ballistics is a yellow bath bomb with a pink bath melt on the top. It’s said to smell really citrusy due to the orange and lime oils but personally I couldn’t smell anything at the time of giving it a sniff. Maybe it was due to smelling so many products. I was really excited to smell this too, so when I did I was left disappointed. It looks very pretty though and I know the colours are inspired after the Sex Pistols album cover, but it doesn’t really remind me of Christmas sadly.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 08 pm_zpsph290ara.jpg

This is by far my favourite bath bomb and especially my favourite for Christmas. I remember when So White first came out back when I was either 19 or 20 and it was a tiny little bath bomb. Well it has come a long way since then! It’s become a larger bath bomb, has had bubble bar added inside and has had colours added inside. Now it has been transformed again and has a green leaf on the top and from what I’ve heard is now green inside instead of red. I cannot wait to get my hands on one this year!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 24 pm_zpsbc7o49b3.jpg

Another returner from last year and one that Lush has updated for the better this year. I know I found myself dealing with broken Star Dust bath bombs in the post and it really pissed me off. Now Lush have created a stronger bath bomb so that this same issue doesn’t happen again. It’s exactly the same as last year though and is so damn pretty! I can’t wait to pick some up again as I miss their creamy vanilla scent.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 34 pm_zps0rsmo8ms.jpg

An old favourite among children and adults alike, it’s Butterbear bath bomb which shares its scent with Butterball bath bomb. It smells of chocolate and contains chunks of cocoa butter. Great for moisturising the skin after a long day.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 21 03 pm_zpsx7v3hooe.jpg

This is one of my favourite Christmas bath bombs and is called Golden Wonder. It’s been around for as long as I can remember! I still have one from last year in my Lush box that I still need to use. It smells of citrus so lemon, lime and oranges. It shares its scent with Bubbly shower gel so I can’t wait to team the two up together!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 27 54 pm_zpshe1lfoi6.jpg

Father Christmas is a bath bomb that Snow Fairy lovers need in their lives. Due to sharing its scent with the best Fairy around and when it fizzes away in the bath the red outside reveals a bright green center.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 28 04 pm_zpss3slhydx.jpg

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 32 01 pm_zpsxufk2nc9.jpg

This is an oldie bath bomb from a couple of years ago and is called Luxury Lush Pud. It doesn’t just share its scent with Twilight bath bomb, but it also looks beautiful! Christmas pudding doesn’t usually look like this which is what I like the most about this bath bomb. As it dissolves in the bath the coloured circles move from around it to form beautiful colours in the bath, as you can see from the picture above.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 28 06 pm_zpswvbsl2ow.jpg

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 25 32 pm_zpsiwfvc3o3.jpg

This is a bath bomb I thought Lush has discontinue for good after it not making a return last year. I loved the smell of this one and so did Dane but it wasn’t meant to be as we never bought one two years ago and couldn’t last year. However the bath bomb has now been changed and is better than ever! When placed into the water is is probably one of the prettiest bath bombs Lush has brought out. I am of course talking about Northern Lights. It’s a floral bath bomb which I find is really light smelling in comparison to a lot of Lush’s floral bath bombs and products. When placed into water it doesn’t just show it’s purple colours, but also yellow and blue. It’s so pretty and really does look like the northern lights.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 20 42 pm_zpsn3kc4p67.jpg

Alongside Lush’s bubble bars and bath bombs we also have the bath melts and FUN bars to pick up too. Snow Angel is the only bath melt out this Christmas which is a shame as I love them! I’ve got one of these in my Lush box from last year and I’ve never used Snow Angel before. I hear it smells of marzipan which sounds delicious. I can’t wait to use this one cold evening to warm me up a little inside.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 20 47 pm_zpss9pdkz2w.jpg

Of course since Lush creating FUN they always bring some out every Christmas. Lush have done the unthinkable and brought out a Snow Fairy FUN! I’m so damn excited for this and can’t wait to pick it up soon! They also have Reindeer And Robin which smells of cola and alongside Snow Fairy I’m really excited for it. Elf On The Shelf smells of refreshing grapefruit and Santa smells floral. FUN is amazing as you can use it for various things! To wash your body in the shower, run under the bath to create some yummy bubbles, make little people out of it and also used on your hair as shampoo.

I left the Halloween bath products until last to talk about!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 19 pm_zpsfs97mgwm.jpg

Boo bath melt is new this year for Halloween and one I really wanted to love due to how adorable it looks, but sadly it isn’t for me. It smells of ginger and ick that really isn’t a scent for me. Why couldn’t it smell of marshmallow? It would have smelt amazing!

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 20 57 pm_zpsssipeshl.jpg

I’ve never really smelt this bath bomb until now and it smells really yummy and fresh with lime and grapefruit. It’s Sparkly Pumpkin I wouldn’t mind giving it a go to be honest but the gold glitter puts me off… We shall see for sure.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 51 pm_zps9l4isdhl.jpg

Pumpkin bath bomb is new this year and one I knew I wouldn’t like. I’m not a fan of pumpkin both in taste and scent and this just reminds me of the scent of a pumpkin pie. ICK! It does look beautiful though and it is perfect for Halloween, especially over the pond in America.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 6 57 57 pm_zpsc9akak5p.jpg

This is by far one of my favourite items that Lush has brought out for Halloween! It smells of lime and reminds me of lime sweeties. Monsters Ball reminds me of something from Monsters Inc and I love it so damn much! I’ll be picking up a couple before Halloween is over.

 photo Photo 12-10-2016 7 28 01 pm_zpsnxbows0c.jpg

Autumn Leaf is a new bath bomb for Halloween this year and of course it’s for the autumn season. I was sad that I didn’t like the scent of this one mind as it was very grass and floral heavy. It looks beautiful though!

So that is all the products! I know this post is really damn long as it is but I have a little bit more to write about and then I will be done! FINALLY! After going around the store we got the chance to make our own Red Ruby Slippers bubble bar, which was so much fun to make! I got the chance to mix the colouring and flavours into the mix which was harder than it looked at the time.

Finally it was time to buy any goodies we wanted, grab a goodie bag and head home but not before a picture of us all, which I have popped here of course, alongside a picture I nabbed from the Lush Coventry Instagram page.

Overall I loved the event that the Lush Coventry store put on for us beauty bloggers and I felt so happy being there! I was shattered after work and just wanted to have some fun at the event and meet some fellow bloggers, which is exactly what I did. I had an amazing time and from what I said at the start of the post it’s so far the best event I have been to to date!

I want to thank the store for letting me come to the event and I hope that I can attend more in the future.

What do you guys think of the Lush Halloween and Christmas range this year? Make sure to let me know what you think in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week.

Lush Christmas 2016

some_text

Woohoo it’s part two of my post(s) about the Lush Halloween and Christmas collections that recently leaked. This post is by far going to be my favourite of the two as I love Christmas time at Lush. They bring out my favourite Lush items and whenever I visit a store I always just feel so Christmassy and reminiscent of the Christmases before.

I am super excited for the collection this year, even though I am extremely sad and disappointed to say goodbye to Yog Nog bath bomb and Yog Nog soap. As a “sorry” for this I expected a shower cream to be announced but as of yet there is no news of this. There is a replacement for Yog Nog of course, which I will talk about at some point in the post.

I am going to talk about the new products that I am excited about this year, as well as any updated and new changes to some old favourites. By the way these aren’t in any sort of order.

 photo Christmas 15_zpsvvddgoqf.jpg

Two of my favourite Christmas bath bombs are on this page, those being Shoot For The Stars bath bomb and of course So White bath bomb. They’ve revamped them this year and I really like the look of them both. The gold stars in Shoot For The Stars are meant to be bath melts, which will be lovely!

 photo Christmas 14_zpst4eieq6m.jpg

Some old favourites again, including a new favourite last year that being Stardust bath bomb. Lush listened to its customers and their constant complains of Stardust’s breaking easily in transit and instead made the bath bomb sturdier. I just hope it doesn’t cost more money now as it was a good price before. I’m unsure of what I think about Never Mind The Ballistics bath bomb right now… It doesn’t really ring to a Christmas vibe to me. We shall see.

 photo Christmas 1_zps713ahvd0.jpg

I never got to give Northern Lights bath bomb a go when it came out a couple of years back but it’s come back this year and I know a lot of Lushies who are really happy about this! I wouldn’t mind giving Satsuma bath bomb a go to be honest but I’m not overly fussed if I don’t get the chance to. I’ve still got two Father Christmas bath bombs to use, as well as a Snow Angel luxury bath melt.

 photo Christmas 3_zps2ycjjnt8.jpg

I love Snowie bubble bar so damn much and I think it’s easy to see why. It’s of course a bubble bar that is in tribute to the late David Bowie and it’s such a little cutie. I wish they would keep him all year around.

 photo Christmas 4_zpsaf8aqzvi.jpg

I am so bloody happy that The Christmas Penguin bubble bar is back! I wanted to buy him last year and I couldn’t find him anywhere. Well I’m sure he wasn’t around last year anyway! Of course a firm favourite Candy Mountain bubble bar is back as well which I’m pleased about too. I still have one of my Peeping Santa bubble bars from last year. I’ll be using that soon.

 photo Christmas 10_zpse8lz9fed.jpg

I don’t think anything has made me so happy on this list as the Santasaurus reusable bubble bar has. I was worried it would be something horrible smelling (well to me anyway) but I was delighted when I read that it smells of toffee! I wonder if this is to replace Yog Nog somehow? Jester reusable bubble bar also sounds really nice with its citrus scented bubbles.

 photo Christmas 5_zpsocne5xg9.jpg

I was so damn excited when I saw that Snow Fairy got a FUN this year! For £5.00 I will be stocking up on these bad boys to use in the bath! Reindeer And Robin FUN sounds delicious too as it is said to smell of cola. NOM!

 photo Christmas 13_zpsclkbgrhd.jpg

Urgh Lush soap… I’m not a massive fan of the stuff as it either dries my skin out and causes my eczema to flare, or it gives me allergic reactions. ICK! The only two soaps I have been able to use and enjoy from the Christmas limited edition is Reindeer Rock soap and Yog Nog soap. Sadly they have discontinued the latter, but have kept Reindeer Rock on and changed it a little. I’ll be excited to pick up a newer version of it. It smells and reminds me of The Comforter.

 photo Christmas 12_zpsf2cgc1q7.jpg

I am so damn excited for the roulades this year! I am sad that the Yog Nog bath bomb and soap have gone, but Lush haven’t upset me completely as they’ve brought it out in a roulade form. They’ve also done the same with Candy Cane which was also a soap for a while. I’ll definitely be trying both. I’ve never tried a roulade before so it’ll be exciting to give them both a go.

 photo Christmas 11_zpsbh7umzqb.jpg

Snow Fairy! That is all I have to say!

 photo Christmas 8_zpsekezluaq.jpg

I’m not a massive fan of the shower jelly that Lush have brought out for Christmas for quite a while now. I do rather like the sound of the Papa Noel face jelly mind. I don’t get how it works though other than breaking off a piece and applying it to the skin. These are soon going to become a regular thing to Lush if you ask me as I have already seen leaked images of a bunny shaped one for Easter…

 photo Christmas 7_zpsvj5bhphn.jpg

I am so pleased that Lush brought back the Salt And Peppermint Bark body scrub as I wanted to try it so badly last year and I never got the chance to. Now I can! YAY!

 photo Christmas 2_zpsyhsxoxcf.jpg

Oh my I am excited for everything on this page! Most of all the Snow Fairy body conditioner. I love Snow Fairy as it’s just one of my favourite scents and reminds me to when I was a child. I wanted to pick up Christingle body conditioner last year but I never got a chance to. I’ll definitely be picking up both this year. It also looks like they’ve made two sizes instead of just he one this year which is great for trying before committing to a  larger pot!

 photo Christmas 6_zpsnyj9cot0.jpg

Fairy Dust dusting powder came out last year and I was given a bottle by my friend Sophie that her sister no longer wanted. I haven’t used it much to be perfectly honest but it smells amazing and I’ll be using it quite a bit throughout the colder months. I love the sound of Mr. Sandman dusting powder as it’s obviously Twilight scented and would make a lovely edition to my evening routine.

 photo Christmas 9_zpsvwvpqm1r.jpg

I love the lip products Lush bring out at Christmas as they’re always really pretty and taste amazing! The Santa Baby lip tint and scrub both taste and smell of cola which is good of course. NOW Lush are bringing out a blackcurrant offering called Sugar Plum Fairy. OMG YES YES YES! I will probably buy both of them, especially the lip tint. Come on it’s purple. 😛

So those were my briefs thoughts on the new Christmas products leaked for 2016. It’s a shame they have leaked so early but Lush needn’t worry to be honest as it will just show them what products we’re all loving or not loving as much… I am once again sad about Yog Nog. I really hope it comes back!

What products do you like the look of for Christmas? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Lush Halloween 2016

some_text

As most Lushies will know the Halloween and Christmas collection for 2016 leaked recently on Instagram and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for all the goodies heading our way!

There are quite a few products that I am sad to see not return, but all the same I am excited for some new goodies that we will be getting. The most disappointing is that Lush aren’t bringing back Yog Nog bath bomb! Well as far as I can see anyway… It was such an amazing bath bomb and I know they’re bringing an alternative instead but it just won’t be the same.

This is part one of this post, part two being about Christmas. I’m only going to talk about what I’m excited for.

 photo Halloween 1_zpscnavdcjl.jpg

The bath bombs looks so exciting this year, as for a while I have found the Halloween collection to be really boring so I am really pleased they’ve mixed it up a bit this year.

Monsters’ Ball bath bomb is said to lime scented, amazing! It’s a shame Lush don’t have anything like this around for spring and summer. This will be nice to use in the morning on my days off work. Miaowzer bath bomb is right up my street with its creamy candy scent. It’ll either be Snow Fairy or Creamy Candy/Rock Star scented. Either way I am so damn excited. I don’t even want to get started

 photo Halloween 2_zps8uz3bcv0.jpg

Not going to lie… The soaps from Lush never excite me anyway and these really don’t.

 photo Halloween 3_zpsbdebjv6w.jpg

I am so disappointed about Boo luxury bath melt as it looks so damn cute! Hey I might like the smell of it when I give it a sniff in store, but from looking at it I doubt that’ll be the case. I’m never a fan of the massage bars but the Goth Fairy shimmer bar sounds amazing! I would probably use this on evenings with Dane as a massage bar on our backs. I bet it’ll smell just like The Comforter.

 photo Halloween 4_zps80sxprgc.jpg

I might finally pick up a Lord Of Misrule shower cream this year!

So what are my thoughts on the Halloween collection so far? It looks exciting and promising and definitely a damn sight better than last years collection. I’m most excited about the Monsters’ Ball and Miaowzer bath bombs as they just sound so delicious!

What are you excited for in the Halloween collection so far? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time all, take care and see you Sunday for my thoughts on the Christmas collection!

November Favourites

I am currently on holiday, but that isn’t stopping me from getting my favourites post written and scheduled on time like I always do! I’m actually writing this up the early hours before I fly… I’ll still get a lie in of course, but I won’t allow for my blog to miss out on posts… So my sleeping is missing out instead.

That probably makes zero sense, but it makes perfect sense in my half asleep, exhausted state. I graduated earlier today which was amazing, but more on that when I get back from my holiday as I want to talk more in depth about how it went, as well as show off what I wore.

So onto my favourites for November. Still cannot believe it’s December now! Not long until 2016.

  • Victoria’s Secret Body Mist in Snow Mint.

This is actually from last Christmas, but this is just how long it has lasted me since I bought it a year ago. This is a limited edition scent that only comes out for Christmas in Victoria’s Secret. I love the smell of this, it reminds me of sweet candy canes! I’m a massive fan of mint scents so when I first gave this a sniff it was right up my street. This has come back out again this year too, so if you like the sound of it you can pick it up! The packaging is different now however, so make sure to keep eyes peeled for it. What I love the most about this body mist however is how long it lasts for! I find most you’ll spritz yourself with them, and the scent disappears after a couple of hours. I’ve sprayed this on me before going to work, and when I’m getting changed at home after a long shift I’ll still smell of it! Due to this I especially love to use this after a late bath before bed, so I can smell of it all night.

  • Lily Flame candle in scent Fairy Dust.

Oh my I have been after this candle for years! First in the tin, then as the reed diffuser, and now I finally have it in the glass jar version! I picked this up on a whim when I was in Waitrose one afternoon after work. I always go and have a nose at the candles in there as they always smell amazing! They had this beauty and I just couldn’t leave without it. I can’t even describe the scent to be honest. It’s floral, but a little musky and sweet too. I hate floral scents to be perfectly honest with you, but I think this is the sort of candle where if you hate floral, this is a must have because it has all those notes, but just something else in there too! This wasn’t cheap to be honest at £12.00 but when I want something comforting after a long day at work, this has been what I go to. I definitely want to get the reed diffuser soon.

  • Lush Reindeer Rock Soap.

I love Lush, as regular readers will be aware of, and I especially love this soap. So far this year this is the only Christmas item I have picked up. Not even joking. Why (after I was so hyped about everything)? Because I am on a Lush ban! My boyfriend actually bought this soap for me after he treated himself to some goodies from there, and kindly offered me to have one thing. I picked this. I kinda wish I had picked up Yog Nog soap instead, but I am happy with my choice nonetheless. I picked up a bar of this last Christmas and the formula and colour of it has definitely changed somewhat. The one last year was burgundy, this year it’s a rich, dark purple. I don’t know which I prefer to be honest! Either way I’ve been using this soap none stop and I’m actually sad I can’t buy this whilst on holiday otherwise I would pick one up there to use as well.

  • Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in shade HoeHoeHoe.

I LOVE this lipstick, and to be honest I can’t wait to review it when I get back from holiday! It’s a beautiful deep red shade with pink and purple shimmer running throughout. I haven’t been able to wear it as much as I’ve wanted to due to a very painful cold sore, but before and after that I wore this all the time. I have noticed it isn’t as good as Jeffree’s permanent line (this one is out for Christmas as limited edition) but I’ll save all those details for a review!

  • L’Occitane Shea Zesty Lime Hand Cream.

I first picked up this hand cream about a year ago as a sample in a magazine. So I had one full size tube… Then I picked up a free one thanks to a voucher in the same magazine, making me the owner of two full size tubes, and then after all that my mom went in store to buy something and got given a set for free, with a matching lip gloss/balm! So now I own three of these bad boys. It was so long ago that I got these that I completely forgot that I owned them, and to be honest they have done my hands wonders these past couple of weeks. The weather has dropped in temperature and my eczema prone hands have really taken it hard. The Lush hand cream Love & Light (review here) really hasn’t done anything for my hands which I’m rather sad about. Thanks to L’Occitane my hands will keep soft and supple throughout the winter. I really want more of these in the future, especially the vanilla scented one!

So those were my favourites for November! What were you all enjoying using last month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and see you when I get back from holiday!

Lush Halloween & Christmas 2015 LEAKED! Part Two – Christmas

It’s here! Part two, and it’s going to be a long post. There is more information about the Christmas products than there is about the Halloween ones. Apart from the gifts, everything that is on offer looks to have been leaked, which is pretty exciting! I don’t know what September 15th will hold, but from what I have read from official UK Lush stores on Instagram, the winter range (Halloween and Christmas) will be out at the start of October, SO we have less than a month to wait! Exciting huh?

Without further ado, I’m going to share with you all what we’ll be getting awesome for Christmas this year.

Bath Bombs (and one Bath Melt):

Ignoring the bath melt at the bottom, this is the line up for the bath bombs! Not including Lord Of Misrule (as that’s a Halloween product) there are 10 bath bombs all together, 2 of them being new, whilst the rest are returning products.

I am of course really happy to see that So White is back for another year as it’s my favourite bath bomb from Lush and always reminds me of Christmas time. I remember when it was teeny, but it’s really evolved over the years, which is great to see. Alongside that I’m happy to see the return of Shoot For The Stars, as I loved it when it first came out, but never got to try it last year. I’m also glad to see that Father Christmas and Golden Wonder are back, as I got to try Golden Wonder thanks to the Boxing Day sales, and luckily have one left, which I’ll be using soon! It’s such a gorgeous bath bomb and I’ll be stocking up as and when I can. As for Father Christmas I wanted to try that so much last year as it shares its scent with Snow Fairy, my favourite from Lush! I’ll be making sure I try it this year.

The one product I am SUPER excited about is Yog Nog. Oh my GOD! I loved the soap last Christmas and bought myself some when I did some shopping in Lush, and you know what? I STILL own it. I haven’t used it, and it’s still in the packaging. I intend to start using it soon, but now that there will be a bath bomb out with the same scent, I’ll be buying these up as much as possible. Inside the bath bomb there is a luxury bath oil and also contains some bubble bar grating so this bubbles up when popped into the bath. Isn’t that just the perfect bath bomb???

There is only one bath melt being released this year, which is of course Snow Angel. I’m quite sad to see there will only be one as I really wish Lush would bring back the old Snow Fairy Bath Melt. That was probably one of my favourite Lush products from Christmas in 2009/2010 and they never brought it back. Sad faces all round.

Bubble Bars & Resusable Bubble Bars:

I’m really excited for some of the newbies that are coming our way with the bubble bars! There are 5 altogether, 3 of them being new and all of them sound amazing! I always love the bubble bars that Lush come out with, but this year they just look and sound really lovely.

Every year I love that Lush bring back Candy Mountain, even though it is just a nicer looking version of Creamy Candy. There are quite a few bubble bars that have gone this year, so Lush have had to make sure they replace them with goodies, which they have done! I’m going to be trying ALL the new ones. Five Gold Rings sounds really creamy and delicious, and looks really nifty too. I just hope it isn’t too glittery, otherwise I may just have to leave it… I hate when bath products are glittery, I get covered in it! Peeping Santa is another one which sounds delicious! It sounds like it’ll smell of yummy strawberries, and you can never go wrong with something like that. It would probably go really nice with So White Bath Bomb to give you a fruity bath! Finally the other new bubble bar that I am excited about is Bar Humbug. I’m not the BIGGEST fan of liquorice scents, but I’m pretty sure with Christmas around the corner this will be perfect. I’ll definitely give it a smell before I buy it mind, just incase I don’t like it.

I love reusable bubble bars, and I’m super excited to pick up Magic Wand! I’m sure this has been out previous years but sadly I’ve never bought it before, something I’m going to make sure I do this year! It’s said to share its scent with Snow Fairy, so I can’t pass this product up!

FUN:

I can’t say I am the biggest fan of FUN. I’ve used it before and enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong and really liked it, but I would prefer to pick up other products over FUN. The main thing I love using it for is to shave with. I recently used some of my boyfriends Pink FUN and I loved it. So maybe I’ll see if I like the look of one of these. I can’t really imagine how any of these will smell to be honest, but I’ll be giving them all a sniff, and see what I think. I love how creative you can get with them all though! It makes for something cool to pop into a friends stocking, something I might do with my friends and family.

Shower Gels & Jellies:

If there is one thing that I get excited for every year it’s Snow Fairy Shower Gel. Ever since I can remember I’ve bought at least a tiny bottle of the good stuff to keep me going. I still have my bottle from last Christmas, something I’m probably going to keep for when I go on holiday as a treat to wash with in the evenings before nights out.

I’ll be picking up loads of huge bottles of Snow Fairy to keep me going throughout the year! I’ll also be keeping my eye on it in the Boxing Day sales, I missed out last year, which was a shame. Alongside that I may pick up one of the jellies, I’m unsure at this moment in time as I’ve never been that bothered about Snowman, but Santa’s Belly does sound rather nice for winter! I’ll give them a sniff and see how I feel!

Soap:

I’m never a huge fan of the soap from Lush, as the majority of it leaves me with bad allergic reactions, however there are a couple of the Christmas soaps that I can get away, and I can’t resist either to be honest! There are 5 soaps, only one being a new face this year. Last year I picked up Reindeer Rock and Yog Nog, two soaps I LOVED so much and ones I’ll be picking up again this year. Reindeer Rock smells of The Comforter Bubble Bar, which is really comforting. Yog Nog reminds me of cheesecake, which again is comforting. Old Father Time is the new soap this year, which really isn’t something I’ll be buying, sad to say.

Shower Products:

Bar the roulade, I love everything on this page! Christingle Body Conditioner sounds like a gorgeous and menthol mint conditioner, which will be good for cooling down in the summer, and maybe even in the winter. I love mint scents, and Intergalactic Bath Bomb (review here) will work perfectly with this one before I go out for Christmas parties, or maybe even after a day of Christmas shopping. Either way I really can’t wait to pick this up and I can see me stocking up so I have enough to last me through the year. The Salt And Peppermint Bark Shower Scrub looks and sounds amazing, not to mention delicious. This would be great to use alongside Christingle and Intergalactic to give me a proper minty scent and feel! Icing On The Cake does sound delicious, but I’m not a huge fan of the roulade, so I’ll more than likely give this a miss.

Body:

I’ve never used Dusting Powders before but I’ve always wanted to. Last year I was going to pick up First Snow, but I left it as I didn’t think I would use it in the end. Now that Lush will be bringing out Fairy Dust I’ll be making sure I pick some of this stuff up! I would wear it before nights out, and for days out with my boyfriend. I’d be tempted to buy it and take it on holiday with me to wear in the evenings, something I still might do. I’m so excited to give Fairy Dust a smell though! I can see it flying off the shelves alongside Snow Fairy.

Face & Lips:

I’m not all that fussed about the face and lip products this year, but that’s mostly due to the fact I already own both the lip products from last year and the year before. Although I would love the Santa Baby Lip Tint in the new tube form! I may just pick this up to replace my old tin version. I might try and grab a sample of the Cranberry Festive Fresh Face Mask as I don’t feel it will do much for my skin but it would be lovely to try.

Sadly those are all the Lush Christmas products for Lush 2015! As I have said previously, I can only imagine what America get is exactly the same as what we get too. I hope so anyway as there are some gorgeous products that I can’t wait to get my hands on.

So, now you know what products are out for Christmas, what are you most looking forward to buying? I’ve already stated mine, I want to hear yours. Make sure to let me know your thoughts on the 2015 range in the comments section.

Until next time, take care all and keep those eyes peeled for Lush news!

Christmas @ Lush 2014!

Image taken from lush.co.uk

You know when Christmas is coming when Lush bring out all the Christmas goodies! These came out in October and about a month on I’ve ONLY JUST bought myself some Lush Christmas goodies. I had been in and smelt everything a few days after their release but 1. I didn’t feel up to buying anything, 2. The queue was HUGE in the store, and 3. I was pretty skint at the time and I knew I wanted EVERYTHING.

The week just passed, I ventured into two different Lush stores, one in Cheltenham and one in Coventry. The girls who I spoke to in both stores were lovely and I would put names, but I didn’t catch their names, sorry girls!

So from looking in both stores at products this week passed, I also got to finally have a PROPER look at the products that are out for Christmas. I now finally have an idea of which products I would like to get my hands on either before Christmas, or on Christmas Day in Lush’s sale. I’m super excited for the sale, I will be waking at the crack of dawn to buy myself lots of lovely bits and pieces!

SO onto my list of what I want!

Apart from snowflakes, all images taken from lush.co.uk

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb – £3.40.

If you’re wondering what’s inside this golden bath bomb, give it a shake and drop it in the bath to reveal its glittering contents. Soak in its soft citrus fragrance as the vibrant gifts inside unveil themselves and make you feel as if you’re bathing in luxury. The uplifting blend of sweet orange, lime and cognac oils will leave you feeling cheerful.

This bath bomb has been out for quite a few years now and when the year comes that they stop releasing it, I think Lush fans all over will be up in arms! I’ve smelt this year after year in stores and it smells delicious and fresh, perfect to pick you up on those early and cold winter mornings. I finally want to try one of these this year and I intend to pick one up pretty soon, as I want it to enjoy on my mornings off work before I do some Christmas shopping.

Snowman Jelly – £3.50.

Wibble and wobble this snowman-shaped shower jelly all over your body. He’s made with a refreshing and sweet scent, and we’ve added buchu, bergamot and Sicilian lemon oils for an extra mood boost. Seaweed and glycerine help this glide over your skin, leaving it soft and clean.

I’ve never tried any of the jellies that Lush have brought out for Christmas, and I don’t see how I can really pass on this little guy. I mean, look at him! I love the Lush jellies! They’re great to use with scrubbing mittens and a real treat to use on the skin once or twice a week. This is quite a refreshing scent which reminds me of a lighter version of Golden Wonder which I like! I’m ideally thinking of buying this to have for my holiday, but I’m unsure. We shall see!

Snow Fairy Shower Gel – £3.75 for 100g, £7.50 f0r 250g and £11.95 for 500g.

Add some Christmas sparkle to your day with this candy-sweet shower gel. Snow Fairy is back again this year, bringing its fairy dust magic into your shower, now with the addition of skin-softening seaweed.

This is a Christmas product that keeps coming back and I doubt very much it will be leaving Lush shelves anytime soon. A product that you either love or hate and I can safely say I LOVE Snow Fairy! The first product I bought from Lush was The Godmother Soap because I loved the scent and when I was told a shower gel that smelt exactly the same existed, I knew I had to have it! That same year I picked it up and fell in love. However I haven’t bought it since then and I really don’t know why. I think I’ll be picking myself a 500g bottle up this year as I really do fancy it to have for treats for myself. I can’t describe the smell of this, you just have to go and smell it yourself.

Reindeer Rock Soap – £3.10 f0r 100g, £7.75 for 250g and £15.50 for 500g.

This sparkling, reindeer-embossed soap is a berrylicious treat made from a dried lingonberry infusion. The delicate mix of uplifting and cleansing bergamot oil fuses with calming and toning cypress to leave you feeling refreshed, comforted and ready for the Christmas rush.

Over the weekend I picked a 100g block of this soap up, as after smelling it in the Cheltenham store I just knew I needed to have it. I don’t often use Lush soaps as I’m allergic to quite a few of them but I have my fingers crossed this one will be okay. This smells JUST LIKE The Comforter Bath Bomb and Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly, a gorgeous blackcurrant scent that smells like Ribena. I love Ribena so I know I’ll love this. I will be reviewing this very soon so keep eyes peeled!

Yog Nog Soap – £3.40 f0r 100g, £8.50 for 250g and £17.00 for 500g.

A creamy Christmas tipple of a soap made with moisturising soya yoghurt and a dash of festive spice. Lather up and indulge your senses with this fudgy blend of clove bud and ylang ylang essential oils. Dusted with a generous amount of aromatic cocoa powder, you’ll be ready to don your best Christmas knitwear after using this spicy little number that’s 100% palm-free.

I gave this soap a smell on Wednesday and fell in love there and then. I’m surprised I didn’t buy a bar to be honest and when I walked past the store a second time that day I had to resist the urge (seeing as I’m trying to be good in the run up to Christmas!). However I went into the Coventry store on Saturday to have look at everything and pick up a few things. My boyfriend loved this soap too so I bought him one for Christmas (which he knows about!). I can only describe this soap as being super creamy and it smells of a cheesecake and tiramisu, both desserts that I adore. Due to the soya bean ingredient in this soap it makes it super creamy and moisturising. I’m DEFINITELY going to pick up more of this soap and quite frankly I can’t wait to start using it this week.

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar – £2.75.

Make bathtime an even sweeter time with this pink peak of a bubble bar. Crumble this under running water for mountains of glistening bubbles topped with a magical pink mist. The candy scent wafting through the steam includes Fair Trade vanilla absolute, wrapping you in a comforting embrace. If you like the fragrance of our Rock Star soap and Creamy Candy bubble bar, you’re in for a treat.

Another Lush product that has been around since forever, but has changed its shape and name since I first saw it. I’ve bought this quite a few times over the years and I really do like it. It’s basically just a Christmassy version of the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar but who cares, I still love it! When you crumble this into the bath it leaves the back lovely and pink, with pink on the peaks of the white bubbles. This is really lovely and for less than £3.00, I would be a fool to pick one up, and anyone reading this would be too. 😉

So White Bath Bomb – £3.50.

Be the fairest of them all with this apple-scented bath bomb that’s as pure as the driven snow. As it dissolves, enveloping you in a white mist with a crisp and delicate fragrance, its rosy centre reveals itself. The bergamot oil and rose absolute will help you feel calm and peaceful, while neroli oil and orange flower absolute will revive your (Christmas) spirit.

This is by far one of my favourite products from Lush, so I am gutted that it only comes out once a year! Since this first came out as a tiny bath bomb I have been in love and bought it every year. Over the years they’ve really adapted it, making it bigger and putting red/pink inside of it to add some colour to the bath. This smells of fresh apples and is really strong too, so whenever I’ve used this in the bath I have always smelt delightful afterwards. I’m going to be stocking up on these this year and already have it in mind to buy 5… Bit much isn’t it? NAH!

Father Christmas Bath Bomb – £3.50.

A festive bath bomb to bring Santa’s presence into the bath. Once you pop this jolly bomb in your bath, it turns your water from bright red to vivid green. This year, Father Christmas will fill your bathroom with the popular sweet scent of Snow Fairy. All we want for Christmas is this Santa, baby!

For the first time in quite a few years Lush have changed Father Christmases scent and added Snow Fairy into it, rather than the satsuma scent which I somewhat like. I love Snow Fairy so for it to be in a bath bomb is just amazing! These smell really strong too, so I know I’ll be grabbing one of these to use on Christmas Eve or Day before I get ready for dinner.

So that’s pretty much my wish list for Lush’s Christmas range this year!

What’s on your wish list this year? Let me know in the comments below!

Hey have you tried any of these yet or in the past? If so, let me know about it in the comments too.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a great weekend.

Valentine’s Day With Lush

Wow look at me making a post about Valentine’s Day!

As you know in a months time Valentine’s Day will be upon us in a months time and whilst it feels like we have all the time in the world… Realistically we don’t and before we know it those days will whoosh past us in the blink of an eye and our loved ones will be wondering if/what we will have bought for them.

I remember this time last year HATING Valentine’s day, for the  obvious reasons… I was bitter and single and hating on all couple and love related matters.

However this year whilst in some aspects I’m still a little bitter, I’m not single and although we won’t go the whole hog, Valentine’s Day gives my boyfriend and I a good reason to go out and eat yummy food until we cannot eat anymore.

I will be doing a couple of Valentine’s Day related posts and ta-da! Say hello to the first post for it!

I love Lush, as regular readers will know and after spending a fair bit of money on Christmas, I intend to do the same sort of thing for Valentine’s Day and I for one am excited about what products Lush have in store for us this year.

So come with me as I talk about the products Lush have to offer and the ones I’ll be buying myself this year. Like myself you could always buy yourself something nice, or someone else for that matter.

With marshmallow root, Fair Trade vanilla and fresh pomegranate juice, Prince Charming will sweep you off your feet and carry you off into the sunset, leaving your skin silky soft and smelling lovely – the fragrance is made using a beautiful blend of grapefruit, sandalwood and geranium oils.

Prince Charming Shower Gel sounds so yummy and something I would enjoy using during spring afternoons! Personally I don’t think I will be buying a bottle of this until after trying a sampler, as I’m allergic to quite a lot of Lush soaps, so I always try before I buy if I can. On Lush’s website they had this little bit of description for it:

Originally inspired by the Adam and the Ants classic, ‘Prince Charming’, this shower gel has transformed along the way and now it reminds us of the kind of Prince Charming you’d find in a fairy tale…it’s bold and courageous, absolutely gorgeous, and it smells incredible.

It sounds really yummy and the ingredients remind me of The Comforter Bubble Bar and Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment Luxury Bath Melt which I am still yet to try both  of! This will smell delicious and I can’t wait to get a sample pot to try of it!

Like all the Lush Shower Gel’s Prince Charming comes in three sizes; 100g at £4.65, 250g at £9.25 and 500g at £15.95. This shower gel isn’t cheap, which is a shame to be honest but either way I’m sure it smells delicious!

This smooshable massage bar is beautifully fragranced with Fair Trade vanilla absolute. Inspired by the humble Jammie Dodger biscuit – as you peek through the heart-shaped hole on top of bar you can see into the sumptuous white fondant centre.

I’ve never been a huge fan of the massage bars by Lush as they feel really greasy on the skin and in the past whenever I’ve been given some as samples to try out they’ve always gone straight into my bath tub to use as a bath melt instead. I have seen a couple of massage bars in the past that I have wanted to try but never got around to getting them. However as mt boyfriend and I give each other massages on occasions I thought this would be nice to buy for Valentine’s Day, as well as for when I start my snowboarding lessons. The name of this bar reminds me of The Cure’s song Close To Me, which I love! He gives loving back massages and this would be a nice think to use during them. On Lush’s website there’s a bit of a description for Close To You:

Made with a luxurious blend of butters and oils, including cupuaçu butter, shea butter and olive oil, this rich bar is also made with cornflour to leave your skin silky smooth. It shares the same delicious vanilla fragrance as Rock Star soap and Creamy Candy bubble bar – guaranteed to bring your lover Close to You!

On Lush’s website it states how other Lush products like this one are infact some of my favourite ones, including Rock Star Soap and Creamy Candy Bubble Bar. They contain yummy vanilla and other ingredients to give them their yummy sweetie type scent and I know I would love using Close To You as a treat!

This only comes in one size and for that it isn’t exactly cheap at £5.50 for a small 45g bar, this being said it would be worth the money as I wouldn’t use this much, once every two weeks or so. If I don’t pick this up, I wouldn’t be at a loss as I would pick up one of Lush’s permanent massage bars.

The Love Locket was inspired by the kind of heart-shaped locket you wear as a necklace, perhaps with a secret photograph of a loved one inside. In the same way, you have to unlock (crack open) this Love Locket bath bomb to reveal the secrets hidden within…

I actually heard about Lush bringing out their Valentine’s Day range recently thanks to Lush Birmingham posting about this Love Locket Bath Bomb on their Instagram page. They showed a demonstration of how this works and it looks truly gorgeous and as well as looking gorgeous, it sounds as if it will smell wonderful! This is a massive bath bomb that you split in half to reveal a little heart inside. As well as a little heart inside this huge bath bomb there is also plenty of shimmer as well as a little hearts. The image of the inside looks absolutely gorgeous!

The outside shell of this bath bomb is full of paper confetti hearts that will float up through the water.

When you break open your Locket you will also find a smaller heart-shaped bath bomb hidden within, that’s filled with agar hearts to create a romantic spectacle in the bath. Love Locket is made with a blend of uplifting and sensual oils to create a luxurious, indulgent Valentine’s Day treat. Create the perfect romantic bath for two and immerse yourselves in a cascade of hearts!

On Lush’s website they state how Love Locket is similar to Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder and Soft Coeur Massage Bar, which I have wanted to try for years! I would be more than willing to pick up both Love Locket and Soft Coeur to use for a romantic evening in with my boyfriend as Soft Coeur smells of yummy chocolate, so I can only imagine that Love Locket smells of a yummy cake chocolate smell!

This bath bomb just shouts Valentine’s Day and is something that would be lovely to give to someone you like as it’s such a lovely gift that packs a punch in many ways. This isn’t a cheap bath bomb and will cost you a whopping £6.95! A lot of money but I think I would splurge on it as if you can 3 uses out of it anyway I’m bound to get at least 6 or 8 uses out of it! I’d make sure it would last me for quite a while, seeing as it’s so expensive!

A delightful, whipped up gloss made from luxurious and protective butters including Fair Trade shea and cupuaçu. This preservative free tinted lip gloss gives a touch of colour to the lips. It’s so easy to apply you won’t even need a mirror!

Personally I wouldn’t buy this as I have enough lip products to last me a life time! However this would be great for friends to buy one another, as well as for men to buy their loved one for Valentine’s Day, as men hate when women cover them in lipstick marks…. Well mine does anyway!

The Kiss Lip Gloss is yet another limited edition lip product and Lush do a great job with their lip products, I’m pretty sure this was out last year but I’m not 100% sure about that. Either way this lip gloss looks gorgeous and although I won’t buy it myself, I would buy this for someone if this was a permanent lip product.

This contains the same ingredients as Lush’s massage bars, which makes this lip gloss super moisturising as well as looking gorgeous in various ways. As well as containing plenty of moisturising ingredients it will also make your lips a light glossy pink sheen with slight shimmer inside, as well as containing mandarin so it’ll taste and smell yummy too!

We’ve created a light balm using the same aerating technique we use for our massage bars. It will moisturise and protect the lips, whilst giving them a subtle pink glossy sheen. It contains delicious organic agave syrup to leave your lips deliciously sweet.

Organic mandarin and almond essential oils give a delicious taste and fragrance, making every kiss unforgettable. We also added guarana seed powder (a natural skin plumper) to make your lips irresistible.

For £5.75 your lips will be feeling soft, looking pink and shimmery and tasting yummy! What more could you want from a lip gloss eh? This will be a nice one to buy for teenage girls!

There are some more products to choose from such as Neon Love Soap and Tender is the Night Massage Bar. Alongside all these products Lush have also brought out three gift sets full of yummy products for a loved one to use over Valentine’s Day, these are Lots of Love, Neon Love and Toucan Love.

I love Lush’s limited edition collections, but as the years have gone by their Valentine’s Day products seem to have gone downhill, however I do really love the look of Love Locket, which for nearly£7.00 I think I’ll be picking up in the near future, maybe two as I think that would last me well up until the summertime!

Before I buy anything of course I shall be giving all the products a sniff in store next weekend when I go into town with my boyfriend, fun times!

So, what do you think of Lush’s Valentine’s Day collection, do you love it or hate it? If you love it which products are catching your eye? Let me know in a comment down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope your week has started off well.
