Ohayou Clothing! Pin Badge Collection – Part 1

You know when I say, “This is a blog post I’ve been meaning to do for a while!” on some of my posts? Well I usually mean a couple of weeks… However this time I mean months. I’ve been meaning to write this post FOR MONTHS.

Now in this circumstance I have been meaning to talk about Ohayou Clothing! in general for YEARS now and I honestly mean that! It’s taken me so long to write about this brand and Chrissy the amazing owner because I’ve wanted to make sure what I write and post about her is exactly spot on and be perfect.

I have finally decided exactly how I want to talk about Ohayou Clothing! on my blog and I am so bloody excited to be honest with you! I’ve been working on this blog post mentally for months now, since the Eeveelution Kickstarter launched in March.

Instead of talking about any of the clothing I own by Ohayou Clothing!, I thought I would start on my ever growing pin badge collection and at the moment Ohayou Clothing! is dominating my pin flag… Soon enough I’ll have to get a separate pin flag purely for her marvellous pins.

ANYWAY enough chin wagging, it’s time to FINALLY get on with my first (of I’m sure many) Ohayou Clothing! post!

When Ohayou Clothing! announced her Sleeping Eeveelutions Kickstarer campaign I was so excited and made sure to back her campaign as soon as I could! She had a few issues with her Kickstarter due to copyright issues with Nintendo and Pokemon and it had to be frozen for a while. However, it was all sorted in the end and her Kickstarter continued and it did so well. I’m so proud of how much she made with the campaign! It’s definitely a Kickstarter I’ve had a pleasure being a part of.

When the campaign came to an end, it was time to decide which pin design you wanted and the one I settled on (after a bit of a struggle) was the sleeping Vaporeon pin. It’s so adorable and cute! I love how all of the sleeping Pokemon pins have themes based on their type. Of course Vaporeon being a water Pokemon it’s sleeping on a beach. It was tough to be honest having to pick just one pin as my reward (I only opted to back one as my pin obsession was pretty nonexistent then…) only allowed me to have one pin. I just love Vaporeon though and the beach scene reminds me of Fuerteventura, which is my second home.

After these pins were released and sent to their new owners, Chrissy opened up a secret shop on her store for people to come and buy brand new sleeping Pokemon pins, as well as seconds pins.

Seconds pins are pins that have been sent with issues, such as wrong colour, marks on various parts of the pin and basically just anything wrong with the pin that you can think of!

Although I had my heart set on the Vaporeon pin all along, I did fall in love with the Mew pin that was brought out as the first unlocked reward. So when Mew came out as a seconds pin, I knew I had to order! It recently arrived in the post and I have to say, I wouldn’t even think it was a seconds pin! It looks just as good in quality as the Vaporeon pin, as well as some other pins I own by Ohayou Clothing! The one thing I love about the Mew pin is that it’s surrounded by Japanese sakura (well it looks like that to me anyhoo! :P) and it’s just so cute! I can’t wait to wear it throughout winter to be honest with my cream jumper.

When I ordered my Mew pin I decided to order the Spyro pin that Ohayou Clothing! designed recently. I wasn’t going to to be honest as the smart adult in my brain was saying, “No Nat, you don’t need that!” whereas the nostalgic youngster in my knew she had to have it.

Spyro is a massive part of my gaming life as I used to play it when I was younger during the summer holidays with my cousins. We’d take it in turns to go around each world and attempt to complete them 100%. I loved it!

So I knew I needed the Spyro pin badge in my life! It’s so adorable and I cannot wait to wear it over the summer and winter months for work. The remastered Spyro games are out in September so I’ll be rocking this pin on jumpers throughout that month for sure.

The thing I love the most about this design is how much of a rebel Spyro STILL looks, whilst giving the pins design a cute kawaii feel. Also, look at that glitter, it’s so fabulous! ๐Ÿ˜€ I know not everyone knows what half of the Pokemon are anymore who are out, but everyone who was around in the 00’s will know who Spyro is.

Finally I’m going to talk about the Pin Dream pins I have from Ohayou Clothing! so far. NOW when I started writing this post towards the end of last week, it was before some sad news from Ohayou Clothing about her Pokemon designs and pins.

Like when the Kickstarter was around, Nintendo and Pokemon have got to Ohayou Clothing! again and told her she has to stop making and selling Pokemon designs. I am gutted to be perfectly honest with you. Due to this, the Vaporeon pin will be the last Pokemon pin for the Pin Dream pins. I was so excited for the rest of the Eeveelution doughnut designs to come out, but that aside I’m angry on behalf of Chrissy. There are plenty of other people out there who are inspired by Pokemon and their designs to create their own designs and images of certain ones. There are loads of Kickstater campaigns out there that are producing Pokemon inspired pins, as well as hundreds of Etsy stores and even Redbubble. So why is Ohayou Clothing! getting it and no one else appears to be? Well, yet anyway.

Either way I will continue to support Ohayou Clothing and Chrissy with her store, as well as with her future Pin Dream designs!

For now though, I will talk about the first two pins she came out with for her Pin Dream Patreon. They’re both Pokemon pins and I love them so damn much, as I said, I’m just gutted I won’t ever be able to own all 9 pins. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

The first pin was an Eevee doughnut pin and I knew I wanted it so much! The design of it is adorable, from the sparkly brown doughnut, to the fluffy tail dangling down, and the adorable little tongue that Eevee is sticking out. There is nothing wrong with this pin and it definitely ticks all the KAWAII boxes.

Chrissy always packages all her parcels perfectly and with the Patreon Pin Dream’s you get a couple of little extras too as a thank you for supporting her. With the Eevee doughnut I got a sticker of Eevee sleeping as well as a Glaceon badge.

The second Pin Dream is the Vaporeon doughnut and sadly I haven’t had the chance to wear it and show it off yet. This only arrived recently but I’m sure I’ll wear it at some point soon for work or in general. This pin is just as gorgeous as the Eevee one with the blue glitter doughnut this time. Not going to lie the Eevee pin is definitely cuter than Vaporeon, but the blue makes up for that! ๐Ÿ˜€ This will be lovely to wear on my red coat during the winter season.

Like with the Eevee pin (as well as all of her packages to be honest…) the Parteon package for Vaporeon came with some lovely little extras again, including an Eevee and Vaporeon sticker, as well as some Japanese candy, which was really yummy. ๐Ÿ˜›

So, that’s my pin collection from Ohayou Clothing! so far.

I am gutted about the whole Pokemon palava with Chrissy, especially considering she had so many cute ideas coming up with Pokemon, including Cubone and Dragonite, which I was excited to get during her designing stages.

I really hope in the future that Nintendo and Pokemon chill out and allow Chrissy to continue being amazing. OR they could just offer her a job to designs some new merchandise for the Pokemon Centre in Japan. ๐Ÿ˜›

What do you guys think of Ohayou Clothing’s! cute pin badges? ๐Ÿ˜€ Which do you like the most? Maybe you already own some of her merchandise! She doesn’t just design pins, she designs clothing, as well as homeware. I live in my Eevee and Umbreon varsity jackets when it isn’t hot! ๐Ÿ˜€

Let me know in the comments what you think of Ohayou Clothing! AND if like me you don’t agree with how Nintendo and Pokemon are treating her, then join me in talking about it online on Twitter and Instagram.

Oh by the way, do you guys like my little Mii Kun that has recently come into my life? ๐Ÿ˜› I’ll be talking about him properly soon, but I love him so bloody much! He’s from the anime How To Keep A Mummy, which you should watch if you love cute anime series.

Here’s a little bonus picture I posted on my Twitter page…

He looks so realistic here. I love the plushie so fucking much and I really hope to feature him more when it comes to talking about anything kawaii and Japan related. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyhoo, until next time I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

July Wish List ’18

Oh man as if we are in July and oh what a gorgeous year 2018 is turning out to be already, eh?! Last week we had nothing but sunshine and it was glorious.

I was really naughty in June and bought loads of stuff, but you know what? Fuck it! I don’t feel like I’ve had a proper treat since I left my previous job so it’s been nice to buy stuff for myself that I either need and don’t need, but have wanted for ages.

The majority of stuff on this months wish list I doubt I will buy as I need to save my monies now after an expensive month. I really struggled too with this months wish list as there isn’t much I really want to buy in all fairness… Well apart from the manga mentioned below. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyhoo, ON WITH THE WISH LIST! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • FairyGlo Gel Nail Polishes – (link)

This is what I’m going to kick off the blog post with as although I’ve mentioned I won’t be buying much this month, this is something I’ve ordered as I REALLY wanted to give FairyGlo gel polishes a go! Someone I work with uses these and they look amazing, so I wanted to give them a go for myself. I have 4 shades in mind that I want to grab and they’re purple, blue, raspberry pink and lavender shades and they look awesome! Where I’ve found them they’re ยฃ1.99 each which is pretty decently priced, but I know this is due to them being Chinese and cheap. But meh, I’ll give them a go they won’t cost me much to buy. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Cath Kidston Park Wildlife Fox Cushion – (link)

I really want this cushion and I regret not picking it up when me and Dane went away to Bristol/Somerset for a couple of days at the start of June. Dane was the one who pointed it out to me to be honest! The fox on it is so adorable and instead of grabbing this cushion I picked up a fox trinket dish and the park wildlife tray instead, which the fox is on. I really want more of the park wildlife bits that are all in the sale at the moment! I’m definitely going to keep my eye on the cushion because if it goes down in the sale anymore, I’ll definitely grab it!

  • A Polar Bear in Love Vol. 3 – (link)

I mentioned this recently on my manga wish list (which you can read here) but this is out this month so I’ll be pre ordering this closer to the time, aka the end of the month. ๐Ÿ˜› I love A Polar Bear in Love. It’s so bizarre but so cute and somewhat relate able all the same. If you love reading cute and strange manga, definitely give this series a go! I can’t wait to see where it’s going after where Vol. 2 left off!

  • Le Mini Macaron 3X Shine Topcoat – (link)

I recently picked up one of the Le Mini Macaron gel nail kits and I LOVE IT! I really want to give the rest of their products a go though, including this 3X shine topcoat, which has nothing but good reviews! I haven’t used a topcoat whilst using the shade I picked up in the kit and it’s lasted for quite some time now. The only time it started to chip was when I was in the bath and I was kind of picking it off. ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Vans x Marvel Spidey Webs LS – (link)

The Vans x Marvel collection is a mixture of awesome and disappointment of how much better they could have done. I really wanted the Deadpool Vans that they released but when I saw them in the flesh I was so disappointed. For a start they had a ninja star on them, which Deadpool doesn’t use! I mean, what? :S Anyway so the only things I actually liked from the collection are the Spider-Man t-shirts, including this long sleeved boyfriend tee. I love long sleeved tops, especially if they have a boyfriend tee feel to them! It’s not the cheapest in the world, but you’re paying for the brand, as well as for Marvel. I’ll definitely be picking this up in the future as I love it so much!

  • Le Mini Macaron Kitticorn Magic Powder – (link)

I’ve always wanted to give the holographic and chrome nail powders a go but I haven’t really been able to. Although I would prefer to give a cheaper one a go, I’m adding this to my wish list because for the money I wouldn’t mind giving this one a go and it comes with a topcoat polish too, which is always good! I don’t know if it’s the same one as the 3X shine topcoat though…

  • Marvel Spidey Ringer Tee – (link)

Like the boyfriend Spider-Man tee I really love this tee that Vans have brought out for the collaboration! This one would definitely be ideal lately with how bloody warm it’s been this past week. I’d rock this tee all the time with a cardigan, hoodie and jeans. At the time of writing this it’s on sale at EMP and I’m SO TEMPTED to order it but meh I need to watch my monies after an expensive month in June… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  • Le Mini Macaron Coffee Shop Les Minis Gel Polish Set – (link)

I’ve spied a couple of the gel polish shades I like the look of, including Latte which is in this coffee coloured set. I LOVE coffee coloured nail polishes and although I won’t this month, when it comes to it I’m going to order myself a couple of different shades from Le Mini Macaron as I really want to give this brand a go! I especially love all these shades as they’ll look great for every season too.

So those are all the items on my wish list for this month! Sorry if it’s really boring, I honestly cannot think of much I want to buy this month really… ๐Ÿ˜›

You watch though after this post, I’ll think of shit loads of stuff I want!

What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and have a lovely week!

June Favourites ’18

I cannot believe it is July! I ended off June by getting incredibly drunk and nursing a monster of a hangover with McDonalds chicken nuggets. xD

Oh dear. It’s a lovely warm day though, I’m between doing housework and blog work and getting ready to go out to a wedding this evening. I usually get my monthly blog posts written up and scheduled about a week in advance, but sadly that isn’t the case this month… OOPS! ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway, enough blabbering, on with the favourites this month! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Skin Wash.

If there is a product that I have REALLY loved lately, it’s definitely this tea tree skin wash, which you can use all over your body, including your face. My skin has been breaking out really bad lately, so much so that I worried I might have acne. Alas, it was just some of the products I was using on my skin as since I started using this stuff on my face it has changed dramatically! Not only that but I use it on my body too as a shower gel and I always get out of the shower feeling fresh and clean! I always forget how much I love this skin wash and from now on it’s definitely going to be a constant piece of my shower/bath!

  • Simple Kind To Eyes Soothing Eye Balm.

I recently picked up this old favourite again as I was in need of a new eye gel. I’ve used this on and off over the years and never had a problem with it, but sometimes I’ve found it to be too expensive for what it is and that’s why I didn’t pick one up. However, recently I found it at a price I was willing to pay and oh man, I forgot how great this eye balm is! As many of us Brits know, it’s been really hot in the UK most of June so this eye balm has come in handy for helping cool down my eyes early in the morning, as well as in the evening before bed.

  • L’Occitane Almond Foot Cream.

I don’t actually know if L’Occitane even sell this anymore but I’ve started using it lately to help soften my feet. On and off for about a year now I appear to now have eczema on one of my feet, which sucks. Since using this food cream in the mornings before work the eczema has improved dramatically! Some days I don’t use it, but most days I do. Due to the almond it smells really good too and has a matte texture to it so it doesn’t leave your feet feeling greasy after use, which is great!

  • Le Mini Macaron Gel Manicure Kit in Midnight Blueberry.

I’ve wanted to try the Le Mini Macaron gel kits for agggges! It started off as a Kickstarter and I remember discovering it after it had finished. I’ve had my eye on the kits online for a while but I didn’t feel that the ยฃ30-ยฃ35 price tag was really worth it for what you get. However, recently House of Fraser had some of the kits on offer for just ยฃ10! So I finally picked one up. I’m so glad I did as I now have a new found love for gel nail polish and since then I’ve used more gel polishes with it than the one provided in the kit. Sadly House of Fraser don’t have anymore of these kits left. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

  • Tangle Teezer The Ultimate Finishing Brush.

I picked up this hair brush when I went to Bristol at the start of June and oh my God, it has changed my life so much! For about 5-6 years now I’ve been using this style of brush, but never the Tangle Teezer brand. I knew I was in need of a new hair brush so I decided to use my Boots points to pick up one of these brushes, as well as their smoothing tool brush which you use when blow drying your hair. Their brushes are just amazing and I cannot wait to review them both on my blog.

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10.

Holy shit this season was crazy of RuPaul’s Drag Race and I’m not going to lie or reveal any spoilers, but I am so annoyed at who won… But whatever. If there was one queen on this season who I loved to the moon and back, it’s Monet x Change. She is such an amazing queen and she made me laugh constantly and SHE SHOULD HAVE FUCKING ONE! My favourite moment in this season is the clip I’ve posted above, and it’s definitely one of my favourite moments EVER! ๐Ÿ˜€

Favourite Film – The Shawshank Redemption.

This is such a random film to have on my favourites this month, but it’s probably the only one I’ve actually watched. I fancied watching it after realising that Hank in Detroit:Become Human is the mean prison ward in this film! I just felt the need to watch it again really and I always forget what an amazing film this is. I’m watching it right now as I write this blog post… ๐Ÿ˜›

Image taken from giphy.com

Favourite Book – Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid.

I bought quite a few Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid manga’s in June as 2 of them came out. I always love when I get the newest volume because I can carry on where the anime left off. I don’t feel like I need to write too much about this manga series as I feel like I wrote WAY TOO MUCH about them throughout June. ๐Ÿ˜›

Favourite Song/Album/Artist – Panic! At The Disco – A Fever You Can’t Swear Out.

I don’t know quite why, but recently on my journeys to and from work I’ve been mostly listening toย A Fever You Can’t Sweat Outย and it really took me back to over 10 years ago when it came out. I remember going and buying it one weekend and I listened to it so much at school. I just forgot how much I love it and it’s such a great album for summer too. I don’t care how old the album is, it’s still a classic!

Favourite Game – VR Chat and Pokemon GO.

Well this is a game I’ve wanted to play for the longest time and although I only have a handful of times, I LOVE IT SO MUCH! The first time I went on the game I was incredibly overwhelmed and confused, I didn’t even turn my microphone on as I was too anxious to talk. The second time I went on the microphone was on and I had an amazing time with random people, one even told me how to do bits and pieces on there and it was lovely. As I wore a skin of an anime girl, I become some Ugandan Knuckles’s queen! It was hilarious and Dane filmed the whole thing. I’m really hoping to start making gaming videos with Dane. Keep eyes peeled for that in the future. ๐Ÿ˜›

I couldn’t not talk about Pokemon GO this month as I recently downloaded it again and since playing it with Dane and our friends I am in love with it! ๐Ÿ˜€ We’ve been out with our friends a few times now to play it and walked around our area as well as parks. I’ve also bought the Pokemon GO Plus so I can still play whilst I’m out and about without pulling my phone out of my handbag. I’ll be talking about that very soon! But yeah, I love Pokemon Go and I cannot wait to play it more over the summer.

So those are my favourites from June! What were you loving throughout last month? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time, I hope you all have a lovely day and are enjoying the warm weather.

Elodie the Unicorn Ramen Bowl

I don’t quite know why I’m writing this post/sort of review today as it’s just so random, but at the same time it’s something I really want to share with you guys for so many reasons! Of course, I’ll go into those as the post goes on.

I don’t mean to call this a review throughout the post either, but what else can it be?

I’ve been lusting after the Elodie the Unicorn Ramen Bowl for about a year now, which I discovered through Smoko’s Kickstarter campaign for the Elodie the Unicorn Humidifier. I nearly ordered this through Kickstarter which would have come with the humidifier, the mug and of course the ramen bowl. I didn’t due to how expensive it was and was gutted I’d missed the opportunity to getting some cute unicorn pieces for the house.

Smoko is an American company, so at the time you could order their Elodie products but shipping and import would have cost a bomb! So I left it… Then recently on Firebox they started releasing some of Smoko’s Elodie goodies, including the ramen bowl.

I’ve mentioned it a couple of times on my blog in the past when talking about my monthly wish lists, which you can read hereย and here.

Me and Dane had been in the house over a year when I discovered the Elodie goods on Firebox’s website and I pleaded with him to let me order the ramen bowl. It was pretty expensive at the time, ยฃ24.99 and for a bowl we both found it was expensive. I added it to my Christmas and birthday lists and I still didn’t receive it.

I noticed recently that the bowl was on offer and when I first looked it was down to ยฃ20.99, which I thought was a bargain… But again Dane was honest and said, “Nat where are we going to keep it? It’s not cheap either for a bowl.”

He was right, it wasn’t cheap and we didn’t have room for it, so I left it.

A couple of weeks ago I looked again on the website, just randomly to see what new Elodie goods Firebox may have added to the store, I discovered that the ramen bowl was EVEN CHEAPER than previously at ยฃ14.99!

I decided not to chance it a third time and put an order through! When you shop with Firebox for your first time you can receive a ยฃ5 voucher, which I put towards the ramen bowl. It practically paid for my postage, which sadly isn’t the cheapest in the world but it was definitely worth the money to ensure that my bowl arrived in one piece.

I didn’t have to wait long before my ramen bowl was on its way to me and on my doorstep, it literally arrived the day after I ordered, I was amazed and so happy.

I got home from work and I couldn’t wait to open it. The box that it comes in is cute in itself! Is it sad that I can’t bear to throw it away?! I’m not going to to be honest, I’m going to use it to keep my food in at work. ๐Ÿ˜›

The bowl itself is gorgeous and to be honest not what I imagined it to look like. It’s also lighter in weight than I thought it was going to be, which is incredibly handy when taking the bowl in and out of the cupboard.

This is technically two bowls, but to cook the noodles you need to use both bowls, one as the bowl itself and one as the lid.

So how it works is you pop your ramen noodle packet and any flavouring sachets into the bowl and pour boiling water over. Give it a max of 15-30 minutes and voila! The noodles will have grown twice their size and be ready to eat!

It claims it’s big enough to fit your ramen noodles in without breaking them, I don’t know if it’s due to the brand of noodles I used but sadly I had to break mine in half to get them into the bowl. I used proper Japanese ramen by the way. ๐Ÿ˜‰

They melt in your mouth when eating them and this bowl will already make my life easier when I’m in a hurry or I’m tired after work. After cooking the noodles you could of course transfer the noodles to the other bowl so that two of you could share them… But of course I just want to scoff all the yummy ramen noodles myself! ๐Ÿ˜›

So, was this bowl worth the money? Oh hell yes! If anything I’m glad I waited a year to buy it for ยฃ10 less than the original asking price.

Dane was indecisive about this bowl but not only does it look adorable, it actually does an amazing job! Now Dane wants a ramen bowl himself, which I’m trying so hard to find for him! Otherwise I’ll have to buy another Elodie the Unicorn ramen bowl for him to match mine. ๐Ÿ˜›

If you like the look of this ramen bowl and want to get one for yourself, then make sure to use my code down below to bag yourself a ยฃ5 code!

https://www.firebox.com/r/natalee-e9e09e

ALSO! The Elodie the Unicorn goods are only available at Firebox for us UK shoppers, so you won’t be able to find those goods anywhere else! If you like the look of the Elodie the Unicorn goods then I’ll pop a link down below to both the Smoko and Firebox websites!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend!

Escapades Into Realities of a Virtual Nature: Part Two of Jimmy Rustling

Image result for rustle my jimmies

Image taken from knowyourmeme.com

Hello there coffee lovers! Dane here taking over Natโ€™s blog for a bit. Hopefully I didnโ€™t bore you last time with declaring how much I needed to get a virtual reality headset with a gaming PC to power it. I had actually planned to follow up the post with a games wish list and things you need for VR but there really isnโ€™t much point in that now becauseโ€ฆ

I got myself a new PC! I know only a few of you may actually be interested in reading this post and I do apologise for its subjectively boring topic.

By the way, my jimmies have been rustled by the cost. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I just couldnโ€™t wait any longer and I had to make the jump to get everything I needed. I had already bought a couple of the items like the PSU, case and so on. These were all things I could test out before hand to prove worked just so I could send them back if needed. It is always wise to get everything together as you wont know if there is a problem until you power them on, and with a computer you need everything together to make sure it works.

Sadly in my excitement, I didn’t get many photos of the build. I just had to build it, and yes this was built by myself. Nothing was pre-built and it is much easier than some people may realise.

The PC isn’t the most powerful workstation in the world but it’s certainly enough to play the current generation of games.

If youโ€™re interested hereโ€™s the specs:

  • Ryzen 5 1600 Processor
  • 16GB Corsair vengeance 2666MHz RAM
  • Gigabyte B350 Gaming 3 Motherboard
  • Asus GTX 1070 Expedition Graphics Card
  • NZXT S340 Case

There are many reasons I went for this set up. After looking at components for over a year, seeing how the market has changed and the right deal for me came up I couldnโ€™t pass up the opportunity.

I have wanted Ryzen to succeed since it launched because Intel have been the dominant processor producer for several years and competition always helps the market. After it got released and the major players recommended using it I knew this would be the direction I would head. It has been commented that Ryzen is better at handling streaming and other multicore applications, it lacks the pure power that Intel produces but is a cheaper alternative for those who still want to game. The 1000 series is actually out of date already, Ryzen has in fact released APUs (CPUs with Vega Graphics embedded) and even released the full second generation 2000 series. This caused prices to drop for the 1000 series processors and I had to snap one up.

Buying a motherboard these days is somewhat of a simpler purchase. There are 3 options that you can go for with Ryzen processors (AM4 Chipset) A320, B350 and X370 which are the budget, mid and enthusiast levels respectively. I went for B350 as I want something which has some of the fancier bits of the higher end X370 but a more reasonable price. Someday I may end up overclocking the processor which the B350 will allow me to do. Other than that aspect it is just brand preference, aesthetics and price that you need to look for. I chose the Gaming 3 for its red and black theme and little bit of RGB.

The graphics card was a slightly different story. All along I was going to go for an MSI GTX 1060 6GB, this changed for a few reasons. Since last year prices for GPUs have been astronomical due to bitcoin mining and ram shortages, prices started to decline about a month ago to a point where I felt it was time to purchase. A 1060 6GB is supposed to be more than enough for 1080p gaming and VR but as my monitor is ultrawide and I wanted a little bit of leg room for if a game became extremely taxing in VR I decided on a 1070. It just allows that extra bit of comfort and you definitely know the component is VR Ready. I chose the Asus 1070 Expedition on a bit of a gamble. It has a red accent which is quite nice but no RGB, there werenโ€™t even many (if any) reviews on it. If you search Asus 1070 it doesnโ€™t even come up! The main reason was the price though, it was on sale at Overclockers.co.uk and was cheaper than the 1060, for the power I could not pass up on that opportunity (not for the second time as a 1070ti was actually on sale at Scan.co.uk which I did miss out on).

So there we have it. I made the jump and have given you my reasons for doing so and I have no complaints whatsoever with everything that I have. I can happily play all the games I have at very high/ultra detail and I love it. There is still a few bits that I want to get to make it more aesthetically pleasing, increase the disk space and I may even overclock it in the near future. All in all I am incredibly happy with what I have, and the day it arrived I was like a little kid at Christmas.

SO if you have made it this far through the post, well done! I know this post wasn’t the most exciting in the world and as I said above, only a select few may enjoy this post. Nat asked if I wanted to have a go at writing on her blog today whilst she suffers with her hayfever, and this is what I came up with.

If you’re interested in getting your own gaming PC but don’t know where to start then I’ll leave some links down below of where you can buy any parts for your gaming PC if you want to build it yourself, like I did AND I’ll also be sharing where you can buy a gaming PC built for you.

SCAN UK – Decent prices, they offer finance, their returns policy is brilliant (they’re understanding when it comes to PC components) and have incredibly friendly staff in their Bolton store.

Overclockers UK – They do pre-built PC’s so if you don’t want a gaming PC then you’re good with going here and the prices are reasonable and like SCAN UK they offer a brilliant returns policy, they also do finance. The delivery from them is secure and you feel good in the knowledge that your goods are arriving safely, and very quick delivery too!

So from buying my gaming PC it has also allowed me to use this…

Yeah. I did it.

BUT MORE ON THAT LATER!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading my post today and I am so excited to talk more about the above very soon!

I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend and until next time, take care all.

His & Her E3 2018 Highlights

Image result for e3 2018

Not only can I believe we’re less than 2 weeks away from July, but I honestly cannot believe that E3 2018 has come and gone in the blink of an eye!

As we have done for the past couple of years me and Dane both watched and kept up with E3 2018 as much as we could. In all honestly I was quite disappointed with E3 this year. The majority of presentations were poor, some lacked any information on games or didn’t even show anything new, whilst others didn’t seem professional at all. We’ll talk more about this later.

Not only did we keep up with the couple of days that E3 had their conferences on, but we also kept up to date with YouTube channels such as IGN to keep up with any games that were announced outside of those conferences.

Like we did last year, we’ll take it in turns to talk about certain conferences, as well as favourite announcements this year. I don’t want to do it like we did last year and have me talk for ages and then Dane, I want it to be a mixture of us both!

As I would have said on last years post, I really hope you enjoy reading this post as much as we both enjoyed working on it together. Let’s throw ourselves into it! I’ll be the one talking majority of the time, I’ll state if Dane is chatting about anything. ๐Ÿ˜›

So EA were the ones who kick started us off for E3 2018 and whilst they did a good job, I do feel like it could have been better. I personally loved EA last year because of how much they spoke about Battlefront II, which at the time I was SO excited about! I was also pretty excited for the announcement of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, which sounds incredibly cool and exciting! Also Unravel 2 being announced was pretty awesome and it’s a game I can see me and Dane playing in the future.

Dane – EA, what happened to you? I think the only good thing that came out of it was Unravel 2. Battlefield:V has a battle-royale mode now. It looks like a typically good Dice game, but don’t try and force shit that didn’t happen in a historical setting and act like it could’ve happened. Also fuck them for ruining Command and Conquer. I fucking hate what they did to a beloved franchise.

To me alongside Bethesda, Microsoft brought it to E3 2018 and they were both the best this year by far! There was loads of announcements during Microsoft that I got so damn excited for. The first one that comes to mind is Battletoads. I used to play this on my Nintendo SNES growing up and I have so many fond memories of playing it, so now I can’t wait for it to be out on the Xbox to play with Dane. Another game that I cannot wait to download next week when it comes out isย The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. It’s by the same guys behind Life Is Strange AND is also in the same universe as that game. I am incredibly excited for it already!ย Forza Horizons 4 is set in the UK and although I’m not a massive player of the Forza Horizon 3, I want to play this game now so I can play in the UK in autumn. ๐Ÿ˜› We Happy Few is a game I’d like to give a go as it really reminds me of Bioshock and I LOVE that story so damn much… Whether I do or not is another story. I think overall though my favourite game that was announced at Microsoft is definitely Tunic, who is a cute little fox with a sword… Think Zelda but in fox form. ๐Ÿ˜› I cannot wait for it to come out to play, I just wish it was on my PlayStation 4 but meh, whatever. ๐Ÿ˜›

Dane – Microsoft killed it this year, largely due to the fact that there was a lot of shit this year (looking at you PlayStation and EA!). I think Microsoft always have a good show and always present it well, they do just struggle with exclusives and giving gamers something to really talk about. This year though, they teamed up with a lot of individual studios to showcase their games, even going as far as buying them up and incorporating them within Microsoft Studios. Definitely excited about Fallout 76 though, I like the move towards multiplayer but the no NPCs is a interesting format which we will have to wait and see. Halo: Infinite didn’t really get me excited as Halo: 5 was mediocre, just hope 343 industries can do something good after their separation from Bungie. Session was an interesting announcement, lets hope it fills the void Skate left after EA did its thing to Black Box Studios. The biggest and best hype for me though was the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077. It was actually announced several years ago and with them showing codes for Witcher 3 (with DLC) hidden in the trailer was a smart move.

Now onto my favourite conference of E3 2018, Bethesda. Oh man they just brought so much to the table this year, especially in comparrison to last year. Their conference last year bored me and was just bland. This year not only did they shock us all with Fallout 76 and what they have planned for it, but they also revealed that Elder Scrolls 6 is in the works! I remember back when Morrowind was out how me and my cousins would play it all together. Then when Oblivion came out I played it so much, on both my laptop and my PS3! Then Skyrim came out and I was so disappointed by it. My dad had bought it me for Christmas the year it came out and I was gutted. It just didn’t play like the previous two had and recently I parted ways with it and took it to GAME. Now that we have something new and fresh on the way, I’m so fucking excited! As for Fallout 76, oh man it’s hella exciting for gamers alike who have loved the Fallout games for many years. They’re bringing so many exciting things for us to do on the game, but at the same time I worry about what it could cause. Are you going to build up your game play only to have it blown up by some dickhead who got the nuclear codes? Maybe, maybe not. We shall soon find out as this game will be out before we know it! Speaking of, how fucking cool is the power armour helmet that comes out with the limited edition game?? OH and one more game I’m excited for? Doom Eternal, but only for the music. HELL NO would I play that game! xD

Dane – My God. All good things and it was well presented, Todd Howard knows how to please. Fallout 76, Elder Scrolls: Blades, some new faraway game called Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6! What I really care about is a sequel to motherfucking Doom. Doom: Eternal ’nuff said. Motherfuckers.

Now we’d talk about Square Enix but we didn’t watch it… We know they would have shown Kingdom Hearts 3, but who the hell didn’t?! I’m not arsed about the Kingdom Hearts games and have played Kingdom Hears 1.5 on my PS3 in the past. It was fun to play but I don’t know if it was for me. I’m not a huge fan of the Final Fantasy games, which are practically the same but with Disney. When it’s cheap enough in the future I’ll probably pick it up.

So onto Ubisoft! The start of their conference to me really worked and it got me excited for what was to be announced throughout. I’ve never played a Just Dance game and I didn’t really know what they were advertising with all the dancing. When Dane suggested it, I wondered how I hadn’t thought of that myself. Either way, it was really cool and I love when people do things like this! To be honest apart from this the only game I was at all interested in was Skull and Bones, which looks like so much fun! Other than that, meh I’m not arsed. Let’s put it this was, near the end of the Skull and Bones talks, I fell to sleep. ๐Ÿ˜›

Dane – Zzzzz… Oh Ubisoft are on. They’ve announced a game set in Ancient Greece, that’s surpri… wait those animations look like Assassins Creed… Wait! It is Assassins Creed! *Sigh* I know they need to do something to differentiate the games as their formula started to suck but it no longer feels like you’re an assassin. It just looks like a standard adventure game set in Greece. Division 2 was also unsurprisingly announced with a very boring fake game play showcase. I wish the Tom Clancy games would go back to realism and make a single bullet count. Why can’t they make it play like Wildlands?

I didn’t watch the PC Gaming Show, but Dane did…

Dane – A few things… I am now once again a PC gamer. I should probably do another post on that because a lot has changed. I also have VR… so yeah. Segue! Stormlands is the new full VR experience from Insomniac Games. It looks pretty sweet, like Lone Echo but open world. Cyanide and Happiness have an isometric battle royale game, that should be fun. There is a Shark game, where you’re a shark. Odd. Satisfactory a first person Factorio clone looks interesting. Something about Sega releasing some recent-ish games on PC. Star Citizen released a trailer to a game that will be too big to ever be completed. Erm. Can’t really remember much else.

Finally we are coming down to the last 2 and what were the conferences I was the most excited for, as I am every year. Sony is the first one we will be talking about. I wasn’t disappointed by what Sony showed, but by the way they showed it. Every conference before it had spoken about most of the games it showed, or at least announced release dates. Did Sony did that? Nope. I was sad that they didn’t at least talk about new games they revealed. I was excited for a couple of games that they revealed, which include The Last Of Us II, which I have been so excited for since they announced it about 2 years ago. Spider-Man is also another game I was excited for but I have mixed feelings about it at the moment… It reminds me of the first Spider-Man game that came out on PlayStation many years ago now. I played it religiously and I loved it so much! I like the look of the one and especially of the nostalgia is gives me, but meh… I need to see more. Finally we have Death Stranding, a game I’m interested in because I want to know what the hell happens! I was disappointed that we didn’t get to hear about this game. Looking at it and seeing lots more footage for it is amazing, yes. But come on guys! We want to HEAR ABOUT IT TOO!

Dane – Sony, Sony, Sony. I have never liked you. This year though only reinforces that feeling. You were so boring and didn’t show us anything of value, you have your exclusives and decent IPs but what good is that if you have a conference like that. TLOU 2 looks pretty good, too good in fact. The animation in the fight scene from the game play section was something I have never witnessed before and thinking back on it, it has to be a planned animation. It just looked too perfect. Death Stranding was the only highlight for me really, it teased so much but still leaves you with more questions. Hideo Kojima is a batshit genius and I am excited for it. Microsoft are nipping at Sony’s heels though and as much as I am glad that Sony fucked up this year I expected more from them.

Finally we are onto the last conference of E3 2018, which was BY FAR the worst out of all of them for me… Nintendo. I’m a massive Nintendo gamer, they introduced me to gaming with Tetris and Pokemon on the Game Boy, as well as Donkey Kong, Starfox and Bomberman on the SNES. Their conference was starting at 5pm on the Tuesday, which is the same time I finish work. It takes me a max of 20 minutes due to traffic to get home from work. I managed to get out on time and even got petrol on my way home. I worried I may have missed loads and regretted getting petrol, but what did I miss? SWEET FUCK ALL. All I was watching when I got in from work was Super Smash Bros. They must have spoken about this game for at least an hour and it wasn’t even stuff that was THAT INTERESTING, most of it was just extras in the game. I know I’m not a fan of this game series, but who cares?! Let people play the game and discover the extras for themselves! It was obvious that Nintendo didn’t have much new to share, so instead soaked up an hour of their 2 hour conference with bloody Smash Bros. NOW I know all of us Nintendo boys and gals are disappointed that we didn’t get an Animal Crossing game announced for the Switch, but come on… Are you really surprised?! I knew we wouldn’t get an Animal Crossing game announcement. How? Well look at the phone game. If you ask me, Nintendo have run out of ideas for the game series, which is sad to admit but it’s true. I have the camper game but it bores the crap out of me and I only really play it when I’m incredibly bored. Of course I want a Switch game, but I’m not betting on it anytime soon. Whilst I was annoyed and disappointed by Nintendo, I was also happy to see some talk about Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, which I am SO EXCITED FOR! I’ll definitely be getting the latter, as well as the special Poke Ball controller for the Switch. It’s not the RPG that Game Freak has been telling us about, but this will sure as hell tide me over until that game comes out. I’m just so excited for this and to hear more about that made up for the bullshit of Super Smash Bros that we had to endure beforehand. The game will work alongside Pokemon Go, which I have recently started playing again. I like the thought of being able to use your phone to play the game on the go and then continue when you get home by connecting it all up with the Switch. I also love the idea of playing this game with a friend, AKA Dane. I am a huge Pokemon fan and have been for as long as I can remember. I own and buy most Pokemon related games that come out and this one won’t be an exception, which I’ll also be pre ordering as soon as I can.

Dane – Nintendo this year was basically Super Smash Bros changelog V1.02. It was incredibly boring listening to the most minute detail they were adding to the next game. I don’t give a shit about that, just say we have added these characters and read this to find out more then move onto the next thing. The mini Pokemon games were the only thing of interest which had a small trailer and that was it, Nintendo were always the ones thinking out of the box and doing things for fun. This time it was just a waste of time.

So now we’ve spoken (and probably bored you all!) about the conferences, it’s time for me to briefly talk about some of my favourites that were announced outside of the conferences!

Spyro Reignited Trilogy – Out on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 21st September 2018.

One of my fondest memories of the six weeks holidays one year was playing this game day after day with my cousins and taking it in turns to beat the levels and bosses of Spyro 2! I then went on to play Spyro 3 on my own and nearly completing it 100% before my game file got corrupted and broke! I’ve since then played it fully again and completed it fully twice, once on my PS3 and once on my PS4! You get that I love Spyro, right?! ๐Ÿ˜› I just cannot wait for this to come out in September to be perfectly honest with you and I was so excited when I discovered game play of the game. It’s lovely to see a refreshing look at Spyro, as well as hearing Tom Kenny voicing Spyro. He voiced him in both Spyro 2 and 3 and you’ll know him as being the voice behind Spongebob and Ice King.

Tunic – Out on Xbox One and Windows release Date TBC.

I know I mentioned this game when talking about Microsoft but I just had to show it here! I remember them talking about it last year at E3 and I fell in love, so I’m so happy they showed him again! It shows they haven’t forgotten about this little cutie and I don’t think many of us gamers have either. I cannot wait to hear more about this game and I’m keeping fingers crossed it’ll be out before the end of 2018.

Dead or Alive 6 – Out on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 early 2019.

Now if there is a game series like Pokemon that I have been behind and loved since day one, it’s the Dead or Alive games! I love them so much and I laugh so much at the bouncing boobies, like we all do! I just enjoy them and they’re some of the first fighting games I really could get into and play. I also love the stories of some of the characters, especially Ayana, Tina Armstrong, Helena Douglas and definitely Kasumi. The game play itself is the best to date and we are definitely in much need of a new DoA game after 7 years! I cannot wait for it.

Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight – Out on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita early 2019.

ย If there was one game I was hoping to see at E3 2018 it was this one! As regular readers of my blog will know, I love Persona 5 so much, so when I heard they were bringing this out I was super excited! I already have the dance game for Persona 4 and I really enjoy playing it, so God help me when this comes out! I am tied between getting it for my PS4 and my PS Vita but I think it’ll have to be my console to be honest with you, just so I can get it to go with the main game. This is a game I will be pre ordering closer to the time!

Pokeball Plus – Out for Nintendo Switch on 16th November 2018.

I didn’t really touch upon this above but I will briefly here. The Pokeball Plus wasn’t really something I was sure if I wanted, until E3! Not only will this Pokeball be limited edition (according to workers in GAME anyway…) but it will also contain Mew, the hardest Pokemon to gain in the original Pokemon series! A lot of people have stated online how their favourite part of E3 2018 was how Mew talks to Reggie during this talk. ๐Ÿ˜›

Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee – Out on Nintendo Switch 16th November 2018.

Last but certainly not least we have what is probably one of my favourites from E3 2018 and I’m not going to talk much about it because I’ve pretty much done all of that earlier when talking about Nintendo. I just thought it would be rude not to share the YouTube video on here. ๐Ÿ˜›

So that is our his and hers post about E3 2018 and our highlights, as well as us bitching and moaning. ๐Ÿ˜›

In all honesty I don’t know if I speak for both me and Dane when I say this but this is by far the worst E3 I have watched to date and I don’t know why. It just lacked so much overall and it was disappointing because of it. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way too and it is such a shame. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED watching E3 2018 but at the same time I felt like I wasted my time at points whilst watching it. E3 2017 just had so much more going for it. There was also some technical fuck ups that me and Dane noticed at times too during conferences, which isn’t the end of the world but it’s not exactly great, is it?!

Overall though I am so happy to see some games I’ve been hyped about the past year or two and especially happy to see them all get release dates and times!

What games did you love seeing at E3 this year? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

I hope you’re all well and had an amazing weekend, but until next time take care!

5th Anniversary

Yesterday was mine and Dane’s 5th anniversary and honestly, I don’t know where those 5 years have gone.

I know I’ve given you all the sop before but I just wanted to write about us here, because it’s nice and stuffs. ๐Ÿ˜›

We both met through POF (Plenty of Fish), which for those of you who live under a rock and don’t know, it’s a dating site. I remember an old friend telling me how she’d met guys through the website and had gotten loads of dates (even though she never went on any…) with guys.

A couple of months later in jest I was talking to my friend Jacqui about the website, and suggested we both give it a go. We set our profiles up and before we knew it we were ready to meet some guys! Urgh they were either grim, clingey and professing their love or just after a quick shag.

Then Dane messaged me, he was sweet and we had quite a lot in common. I remember my first comments were, “He’s ginger!” and “He’s from Coventry… Is that far from here?”

We spoke for a week via the website and then moved to texting as it was easier. Before long we were arranging out first date and met in Birmingham for drinks. From then on it was just date, date, date! We went to Milton Keynes a couple of days later for a second date and then after that a week later we met up for a shopping trip in Birmingham.

It must have been almost a month before and Dane decided to become a couple during a gig. It was lovely to be honest and was nice to wait a little before jumping it. I think we both knew though that we liked each other and wanted to make it work.

6 months later on my birthday we said those 3 little words and since then we’ve just been so in love and all that soppy shit!

For our first year together we went to Bristol for a long weekend. I loved it so much and it’s a city I have always wanted to visit again, but sadly just never have… Not for any real reasons why either to be honest with you.

That is until our fifth anniversary where we decided to head to Chedder Gorge for a couple of days before the weekend, which also involved a trip to Bristol, as well as a trip to Weston Super Mare.

Before I go into what we got up to, we gave each other our anniversary presents early as sadly we both knew what we’d bought one another. As we always do at Christmas, birthday’s and especially anniversary, we always gift each other a Nendoroid (or two!).

Kakashi Hatake on the left, Nana Ebina on the right.

Dane has recently started to collect the Naruto Nendoroids so it’s lovely that I could help towards that by buying himย Kakashi Hatake.

Himouto! Umaru-chan is one of my favourite anime series! Dane bought me Umaru for Christmas in 2015. It’s lovely how nearly 3 years later I can now have her teamed up with Nana Ebina! ๐Ÿ˜€

I love the Nana Ebina Nendoroid so much! I especially love the little cat body pillow she comes with, which is unbelievably soft!

This year I bought Dane Kakashi Hatake from Naruto and Dane bought me Nana Ebina fromย Himouto! Umaru-chan.

Sadly I didn’t manage to get a picture of Kakashi Hatake in his box, Dane got him out as soon as he received him and was playing around with his positions, etc. So I decided to show pictures of them in our Nendoroid cabinet instead! I hope you like them! We always try and make our Nendoroids look as happy and “realistic” as possible, all whilst looking cute!

The week before me and Dane broke up from work for our week off together, he booked us a 2 night stay in Webbington at a hotel and spa. It wasn’t a surprise but due to how busy I was at work the day he was booking it I didn’t realise until I got home that he had booked it!

We had originally planned to go to the Lake District and Scotland for a long weekend, but ended up cancelling that due to money. So after I suggested going to Bristol for a long weekend Dane found somewhere a drive away from Bristol and everywhere else we wanted to go.

I was a mixture of excited and nervous. Since leaving my old job I am always conscious and worried about money now so the thought of going away did worry me… Only because of money though!

The hotel didn’t cost us a lot due to Dane’s nights he’d saved up with Hotels.com, so in total we only paid ยฃ55 altogether for the 2 nights!

I hadn’t worn my Lumpy Space Princess Black Milk Clothing dress for the longest time, so I decided to team it up with my rainbow cardigan (which you can read about here) as well as my new Eevee doughnut pin badge from Ohayou! Clothing’s Patreon (which I’ve linked here). I felt so kawaii and cute! ๐Ÿ˜€ Sadly/thankfully I got zero comments on my outfit, which made me a tad sad considering.

Before going to the hotel though, we decided to stop off in Bristol first for a look around the shops and for some lunch. To think we went into Bristol to buy stuff we couldn’t get at home, but alas we ventured into Primark and as sad as it sounds I loved the Bristol Primark! It’s the biggest one I’ve been into to date and as it’s space out over 4 floors, there’s so much room to look around everything and not feel claustrophobic. Dane bought himself some gym/running gear, I grabbed a swimming costumes for the pool at the spa, as well as a pair of mustard yellow joggers (which make me look like the main character from Kill Bill!) and a Lady and The Tramp nightshirt, which I am BEYOND excited to wear!

Before that however we popped to Three Brothers Burgers for lunch. We discovered it the first time we went to Bristol for our first anniversary and we fell in love with the place. I’d talk loads about it here but I want to write A WHOLE REVIEW on the place on a separate blog post! For now I’ll link their website here so you can take a peek for yourselves.

I am so happy that we went to Bristol for the afternoon for various reasons, the main one being how much it reminded us of our first year together and how we celebrated it there. Bristol will always have a huge place in my heart due to that. Not only that, but it made me and Dane realise how Bristol isn’t THAT far away from Birmingham and we’ve already decided that we will go there more for days out. We’re already planning to go there for the second instalment of Gromit Unleashed with some friends!

After we’d had enough we headed to our hotel, which was gorgeous but kind of in the middle of nowhere. We had expected a village within walking distance so we could walk to a local pub for drinks, but sadly this wasn’t the case. The hotel did have a bar, but it just wasn’t what we were expecting. The spa in there was also lovely, but with how tired we were after each day we didn’t want to use it, which again is such a shame as that was the sole purpose for booking this one in the first place. But if you wanted to go in the pool and then to the steam room and sauna, you needed to walk through the gym to get from one to the other and you’d have to dry off beforehand. It didn’t make sense. Plus when we were having a guided tour I felt awkward standing in front of the sauna and steam room with half naked men sat staring at me.

So yeah, big no no! We also contemplated booking massages each, but these cost between ยฃ25-ยฃ50 and whilst I probably spent that money shopping today, I didn’t feel like wasting it on a massage. I also didn’t know whether you had to call the lady to book to do it, or go to the hotel desk and they’d sort it. I’ll just look at my local college for some cheap beauty treatments soon.

Thursday evening we were shattered and fell to sleep relatively early, ready for an early start the next day!

We got up bright and early, got washed and dressed and headed out for breakfast before going to Cheddar Gorge to explore the caves, as well as the village. I dressed in my gorgeous Midnight Owl dress by Black Milk Clothing. I love this dress so much and since buying it I’ve already worn it loads.

It didn’t take long for us to drive to Cheddar and walk through Cheddar Gorge! I’d never really heard about it before and it was all Dane’s idea to go! I was somewhat anxious walking through the caves, but I put this down to my anxiety and claustrophobia. I was okay though and I actually really enjoyed being able to see inside the caves and how they’ve formed over thousands of years!

Afterwards we popped around the museum over the road and walked up hundreds of steps, only to be left feeling shattered and achey! We deserved an afternoon cream tea. ๐Ÿ˜› Well, Dane did! I shared half of the plain scone he had with my cup of coffee. The picture isn’t showing it, but it was such a gorgeous and sunny afternoon! Soon after we had a mooch around the shops, which also included buying a slush puppy, we walked back to the car and headed to our next destination, Wookey Hole!

It didn’t take long to head over to Wookey Hole and I’d never been before, or even heard of it! It was nice to see Dane talk to fondly of it from when he visited it with his family as a child. It was incredibly sweet and I can understand why from my own experience.

Wookey Hole was different than I thought it was going to be. It wasn’t as open as Cheddar Gorge was and due to that my anxiety was quite bad at some parts of the the tour. We went around a dozen, if not more caves and to get through from some to others you had to duck right down to get under, this in itself scared me a little bit, but when you got across the other side and saw the whole cave, it was amazing! There was one area where you had to walk across metal bridges (safe by the way!) to get through one cave to the next. This is where I was incredibly anxious and urgh, when you’re surrounded by people and you feel like that it can really suck! If you’re claustrophobic then Wookey Hole might not be for you, but looking back it wasn’t as bad as it seemed.

Sadly we never took any pictures but near the gift shop there were LOADS of old games and arcade machines, which even included some rude photo viewers. Me and Dane had a go at the one for shits and giggles and it was pretty funny! It was only a woman taking off her clothes, as in she’s just got in from a busy day out and she wants that bra off! ๐Ÿ˜› You know that feeling ladies. Anyway, it was such a laugh either way and we really enjoyed looking around all the old arcade machines. We also had a go at doing the mirror maze together, as well as looking at our funny reflections in the fun house mirrors. I haven’t seen them for the longest time, probably not for a good 18 years now!

After Wookey Hole we did contemplate going home to freshen up and then head to Weston-super-mare but we just ended up heading straight there, which was a good thing because we hit SO MUCH TRAFFIC and we were pretty hungry too. We’d planned to head to the beach for some fish and chips, get an ice cream and maybe play on some arcades. The only things that happened were the first two.

We walked around for ages as I couldn’t believe that the beach was pretty much all Weston had to offer and that looked rubbish as it wasn’t the best weather. We eventually grabbed something to eat, which was lovely but I was constantly on edge that a seagull may steal my dinner! We didn’t have an issue thankfully, but a family near us certainly did! We don’t quite know what happened but at one point the family had left a full pack of chips on the wall and the seagulls were literally all attacking at it for what was inside! All you could hear was the father shouting, “GRAB IT! QUICKLY! COME ON HURRY UP!” Me and Dane sat there giggling our heads off!

We sat for a while on the beach after we’d eaten out food and just chilled. We sadly didn’t take any pictures whilst in Weston and I’m glad as it was crap there. It looked so miserable and yeah. I was gutted in all honesty about going there as it wasn’t what I remembered it to be when I was a kid. It reminded me of a shitty holiday area for British tourists. It did however inspire me to write a teen novel again, which I’ll get around to at some point.

Eventually we moved on from the beach and went in search of ice cream! For a ยฃ1 I had the best ice cream ever in Weston and it took me aggggges to finish it! Just the thought of it is making me want another one. ๐Ÿ˜›

After we’d eaten our ice creams it was time to head back to the hotel. We’d seen enough of Weston to last us a life time. The only thing that I’d go back for is if there was a special event on there… Probably one involving loads of food. ๐Ÿ˜›

That evening we just chilled out together watching YouTube videos. We had planned to go for a swim together but we were both far too tired for that. Plus we wanted to be up nice and early to check out and go for breakfast.

Dane had researched where we could go for breakfast in Cribbs Causeway and he discovered they had a Frankie & Benny’s. The plan was made and we went to sleep.

The next morning we did indeed get up bright and early and got ready to leave. It was quite sad leaving as whilst I wasn’t a massive fan of the spa facilities anyway, I was gutted that we hadn’t taken advantage of them. The hotel was lovely but the walls were also pretty thin. On the Friday night we could hear every word of the people’s television next to us. We could also hear people walking outside of our room and most of the floorboards creaked around the hotel. This being said, our room was gorgeous and we actually had the best one in the hotel, aka the supreme suite! I felt special knowing that to be honest with you. We also had the best shower in the world, a waterfall shower or whatever they’re called! I was anxious to use it at first as I didn’t want to get my hair wet, but now I want to get one myself! Me and Dane have added it to our, “perfect bathroom” wish list! ๐Ÿ˜›

I decided to wear a Lady and The Tramp sweater I’d recently bought from Depop, (which you will see on a future post VERY soon!) with my new yellow joggers from Primark. I was super comfortable but my only flaw with the joggers are that there’s no pockets in them. Very sad times. Not going to lie, I actually love the second picture of me as a potential new profile picture for on here! Let me know what you think. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We headed to Cribbs Causeway but we’ve only been once and the place is HUGE! It reminds me of a shopping mall by me but I feel like this place is just way bigger. Due to getting “lost” amongst all the shops we didn’t go to Frankie & Bennys, because we couldn’t find it! It would have meant driving all the way there, to drive all the way back and it just wasn’t worth it, sadly.

Instead we went to Patisserie Valerie for breakfast and it was so lovely! Dane had pancakes with fruit and I have scrambled egg, salmon and toast. It was amazing and kept us both full up until past dinner time.

We ventured around the shops for a while and I knew the one place I wanted to head into was the Gromit Unleashed shop. I knew I wanted to pick something up from here as we never did 4 years previous when we’d ventured there. Now me and Dane own our own home we’ve become that type of couple where tea towels become pretty good souvenirs! I was also going to pick up a pen and a notebook, but I have plenty of those already. This pink tea towel doesn’t really match our red, white and black kitchen but who gives a fuck! You have a live a little. ๐Ÿ˜› This was pretty decent in price so I’m glad I picked it up. It’s now washed and as soon as it’s dry, it’ll be in my kitchen and ready to use!

The next shop we ventured into was Cath Kidston. Over the past year I’ve really fallen in love with the store and their cute and vintage inspired designs. What caused me to fall in love with them was their Disney 101 Dalmatians collection which I bought a notebook from… I regret not buying more!

Since then I haven’t bought anything else from there, until today! I only went in for a nose in case they had any 101 Dalmatians goodies left, or even any cute guinea pigs items from the Pets Party collection. I discovered something even better, fox designs from their recent Park Wildlife collection!

It was Dane who noticed all the cute fox stuff I picked up from the store! It started with a pillow he spotted, which sadly I didn’t buy and slightly regret it… I’m going to keep my eye on it on the website!

I’ve been in need of a trinket dish for the past 6 months now and although I’ve ummed and ahhed at many, I’ve never picked one up because it didn’t say me! I nearly bought one yesterday when I was in Wookey Hole because it was an awesome Pingu one.

If I had of picked it up, I wouldn’t have this awesome little fox one, which is definitely more me! It fits all my jewellery perfectly and also looks adorable whilst doing so.

Finally and Dane noticed it when I was waiting by the till, but it’s this gorgeous tray with all the wildlife animals on it, especially that cute little fox. This is for our living room table to keep things organised on it. At the moment we have our sippy cup on it, television and soundbar remotes and our Xbox One and PS4 controllers. I also suggested how we can also use it for mornings when someone makes morning coffee. It’s very sturdy and I am so glad I bought this!

After we’d had enough of looking around the shops we decided it was finally time to head home.

Although I had a lovely couple of relaxing and adventurous days with Dane, I was so glad to be back home and just relax and chill.

We spent the evening doing our own thing, me doing some blog work and Dane playing some games. We cuddled and relaxed together this evening whilst E3 2018 kicked off with EA and we had some dinner.

We both had such a lovely time together celebrating out fifth anniversary and if anything it’s taught us a few things…

  • We still want a puppy/dog to take with us for adventures.
  • We love Bristol STILL and can’t wait to go there again for both days out AND Gromit Unleashed 2.
  • Three Brothers Burgers are still the best.
  • Weston is a shit hole, but the food is spot on.
  • Next time we book a spa hotel, we MEAN WE WANT A SPA HOTEL.
  • And finally, we really want a waterfall shower.

I apologise that there aren’t any pictures of me and Dane in this post, I want to keep those private for us two. We don’t really take pictures together much another so the couple of gems that we took I want for just me and Dane.

I hope everyone has had a great week though and especially a great start to the weekend! I’m back at work on Monday and whilst I’ll miss lazy mornings in bed and days spent sat in my bed playing games and writing blog posts, I will be glad to be back at work!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekends.
