5 TV Shows I Can Watch Over And Over Again

This is a random idea I came up with during a shift at work earlier this week. I was bored and looking for things to do and ended up coming up with this idea and thinking about all sorts of TV shows I could talk about throughout a post. It’s been four days since then and I’ve only just thought of five shows that I can watch over and over and now I want to marathon them all!

Sex and The City

This is by far one of my favourite shows and before writing this post I started watching it again… It’s probably the tenth time I’ve watched it now. I don’t have an addiction, I have a massive passion and love for this show! I remember asking for it for Christmas/birthday one year and when my brother gave it me I was so damn happy. Before being given it I had watched the odd episode here and there, either online or on TV. It was just nice to be able to watch the show from start to finish. I laughed, I cried and I definitely related to all of the characters at least once. My favourite character is definitely Samantha. She’s just like me, honest, to the point and doesn’t give a fuck. The only characteristic I wish I could share is how confident she is. If you have NEVER seen the TV show and you’re a woman, then get on it RIGHT NOW! Oh and if you’ve watched the movies but not the TV show then WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! The TV show is so much better!!!

Jackass

Aside from Sex and The City this is definitely my favourite show. It’s one of the first of its type that I got into and one that grew on me faster than a rash. I fell in love with all the cast, especially Ryan Dunn. He was always my favourite and when the first film came out and he had the best stunt, I was so damn happy! Of course I was heartbroken when it came out that he had died and it still sucks to this day. I just love how far all the Jackass guys have come throughout the years, including Ryan Dunn before he died. I of course love what Johnny Knoxville has done with Bad Grandpa, and Steve-O with giving up the alcohol and drugs.

Teachers

I’m sad that I couldn’t find a gif from the show to add to this post. It would have been good! Teachers is one of my favourite shows to come from Channel 4 back in the day! Not a lot of people have heard of it, so when I first met Dane and found out he loved it too I was so happy! It’s basically as the title suggests, about a bunch of Teachers. Andrew Lincoln’s character Simon is the main character for half of the series and I love him so much. I just want to slap him and tell him to sort his life out! My favourite character is Brian, a P.E. and Geography teacher who is crap with women but fucking adorable! If you like good British humour about work then give this a watch.

South Park

How could this NOT go on this list?! Between 2015 to 2016 me and Dane watched South Park from start to current (well was to season 19, although season 20 was on recently) and it’s one of those shows where you could watch it over and over again and never get bored of it. I can’t say I have a favourite season in particular but I do have the odd favourite episode or two. This being said I will always hold the first season close to my heart. Purely because it’s the season that begun my love of South Park. My favourite character is Kenny, followed by Cartman, Butters and Towlie.

Dirty Sanchez

Finally we finish this post by talking about Dirty Sanchez and like Teachers I couldn’t get a gif for it. When I WAS searching for one I was really nervous as to what I may have found… I was lucky and nothing came up. 😛 ANYWAY! Like Jackass I got into this when it first came out but only ever got to watch the odd episode on MTV late at night or during the day when I was skipping school… Oh what a rebel I was! 😛 When I was sixteen during the 6 weeks between the end of secondary school and starting college I found series 1 and 2 for sale in HMV and decided to buy them. I only noticed as I got to the till that they were rated 18 and of course I was only 16 at the time so I panicked that I may get ID’d but luckily it never happened and I watched the two series when I got home. Series 2 is my favourite by far as I found it had the funniest moments in. The show is just so real feeling to me and although Jackass is similar they’re both a hell of a lot different in their own ways. Dainton is my favourite by far, hands down!

SO those were five of my favourite TV shows that I can watch over and over again without getting bored! One TV show I didn’t mention was Stranger Things, even though I was close to. Why I hear you scream? Well because I’ve only recently watched season one… I haven’t given it enough time to even watch it again! Maybe in the future though. 😛

What TV shows can you watch again and again and again and never get bored? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time all take care and have a lovely weekend.

27th Birthday Wish List

Yes in 3 days time it will be my birthday and I will be turning 27… Oh age really is creeping up on me! I’m not going to moan though, I hate when people do shit like that. What I especially hate younger people asking how old I’ll be to turn around and say after my reply, “OH MY GOD YOU ARE SOOOOO OLD!!!” Urgh just shut the fuck up. Sorry to sound very negative but I hate younger people being so ignorant as to say things like this. 😛

With a birthday comes gifts and presents (if you’re as lucky as myself and many others. Some people sadly don’t get gifts and presents on their birthday…) from various different people and whilst I’m not the type to say, “I WANT THIS FOR MY BIRTHDAY!” I will direct people in the right direction if they aren’t sure what to get me, especially Dane although this year  he seems to know what to get me as he’s ordered majority of my presents.

So here is my wish list for my birthday this year! It’s got some geeky stuff on as well as some beauty related goodies and jewellery.

 photo 17 Birthday Wish List_zpsorgxh6fi.jpg

  • Pokemon Center Vulpix Pikachu Crossover Plushie in Normal Form – £25.50 (link)

I know I always post about Pokemon Center plushies that I want and lust after but this is one that I REALLY want! It’s an adorable Pikachu dressed up as Vulpix, who is one of my favourite Pokemon. This also comes in the new Aloha form but I prefer the original. I don’t think I’ll be getting this for my birthday as it doesn’t come out until the start of February but as soon as I get paid next week I’ll be ordering one myself. ^_^

  • Your Lie In April manga volume 2 – £8.99 (link)

This is a new manga and anime I have gotten into lately and I really do love it! I read volume 1 as soon as I was given it by Dane as an early Christmas present and I can’t wait to read more of the manga to be honest. The anime is really good and although the manga and anime are meant to be aimed towards men I find that women can watch it too. The anime is currently on Netflix but it is in Japanese with English subtitles. I’ll pop a trailer up so you can watch it!

  • Kat Von D Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in shade Mother – £16.00 (link)

I love Kat Von D’s liquid lipsticks and I was so glad to get my first one (Bauhau5) in November from the Oxford Street store when I went to visit my friend Sophi. Since then I have craved to buy more but I’ve been good so far. Even if I don’t obviously get an actual liquid lipstick for my birthday some vouchers for Debenhams would be great so I can pick up a couple of shades. Mother is a gorgeous rose pink shade which I would love to pick up for when spring and summer are here.

  • South Park : The Fractured But Whole Mysterion figurine – £39.99 (link)

Dayyyyum this is something I really want but I know I won’t be getting… Sad times. Me and Dane love South Park and as soon as I saw this on Forbidden Planet’s website I wanted it. We’ve also seen it in the Forbidden Planet store in Birmingham and it looks amazing! He’s 6 inches so he’s huge as well. We nearly ended up buying it New Years Eve when we went out shopping but left it due to being on a spending ban… 😦 I’m sure we’ll buy it as a treat in the future. We already know where we would put him in the house, on the fireplace! 😀

  • Thomas Sabo Fox charm pendant – £25.95 (link)

As I mentioned on my Christmas natter post recently my parents gave me a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet for Christmas, which I love! I know my brother is buying me some more charms for it for my belated Christmas and my birthday present combined and this is one of the charms I showed him. As regular readers of my blog will know I love foxes so this is right up my street! I love how simplistic but gorgeous it is.

  • Lime Crime Diamond Crushers Liquid Lipstick in shade Trip – £13.95 (link)

I’m not a huge fan of Lime Crime due to the controversy surrounding them but the past year they seem to have somewhat bettered themselves. That and my friend Claire has told me nothing but good things about the liquid lipsticks… I trust her with make up gossip that’s for sure! I have loved the look of the Diamond Crushers since they were announced a while ago. Trip is my favourite out of the bunch, which is a beautiful blue lipstick topper, which you can also wear alone. I’d team it up with various different liquid lipsticks. It’s currently sold out on Love-Makeup but I’m going to keep my eye out for it in the future!

  • Pokemon Eevee Evolution water bottle  – £9.90 (link)

I thought I was going to get this for Christmas as Dane had shown it to me before ordering my presents, but alas he never. I don’t think I’ll be getting it for my birthday either. He insists that I don’t need anymore water bottles but I beg to differ! I love having water bottles for work, as well as for on the go and although I love my owl water bottle that I use for work, I’d love a Pokemon related one for work too to show off my inner geek! This one is pretty simple but I love that it’s purple. If I have some birthday money I might treat myself to it.

  • Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in shade No Tea, No Shade – $18.00/£16.00 (link)

I decided that I’m going to calm down on my Jeffree Star liquid lipstick buying as I want to try out loads of other brands instead of just sticking to the same one. HOWEVER he announced this shade just before Christmas and I fell in love, hard!!! I can’t wait for it to come out on Beauty Bay this month because as soon as it launches I’ll be buying it. It’s a beautiful purple metallic shade and it’ll be perfect for autumn and winter seasons.

  • Thomas Sabo Bird charm pendant – £35.00 (link)

I know I’ll be getting this for my birthday as my brother told me he would get it for me. It’s a Christmas themed charm but I’d love it all year around. It’s call the bird charm but as you can see it’s a robin, which I love. They’re just such gorgeous birds and they always remind me of the winter season. It’s not a cheap charm however as it originally costs £70.00! OUCH! If however he doesn’t manage to get me this charm I’ll pick it up on my birthday as a treat to myself.

So that was my wish list for my 27th birthday! God I really am getting old and whilst at 27 you probably expect to see more adult present ideas on a post like this, you won’t find that with me. I am a big kid and even though I’ll soon be 30 I know I’ll stay that way for a very long time.

What kind of gifts do you like to receive for your birthday? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and I hope you had a lovely New Year.

 photo TMBC Footer_zpsuc4pyhfd.jpg

Post Christmas Natter (Plus What I received…)

It’s almost a week since Christmas Day was here and I can’t quite believe how quickly it’s flown by! I had a lovely Christmas even though I was working both Christmas Eve and Boxing Day (WAH FML!) but it’s come and gone now. Plus I have New Years Eve and Day off, woohoo!

So I decided to do a little catch up post about my Christmas and share what lovely gifts I received from Dane, my parents and everyone else. 🙂

Christmas Eve I didn’t finish work until late (6pm to be exact) and due to being tired and lazy we decided to get a takeaway and spend the evening watching movies. One movie we watching in particular was Sausage Party, which came out this year. Not exactly a Christmas movie, but one we both enjoyed watching, although at the end it got very weird and we sat in shock with hands over mouths, awkwardly laughing.

We got an early night as we were both shattered! This being said I had an awful nights sleep. I kept waking up throughout the night as the wind was waking me up. So we both woke up early Christmas Day and popped on a Christmas movie whilst we opened our presents. I spoilt Dane rotten this year and he loved all of his gifts. He spoilt me just as much too and every gift he gave me I loved. We both asked each other what our favourite gifts were out of the bunch. Dane’s was Vol. 1-9 of One Punch Man and mine was a tough one. I’ll show off what gifts he gave me before I tell you which were my favourites… I can’t pick one!

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 28 45 am_zps97rn5odg.jpg

We decided to do stockings this year, as a new tradition and we filled them both full of yummy treats, well Dane filled mine full of Japanese sweets, mostly Kit Kats! My friend Sophi (heyyy!) picked up some of these stockings for us which was lovely of her! She of course got an N for me and a D for Dane.

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 39 27 am_zpsxmd5mt7a.jpg

As you can see Dane bought me LOADS of Kit Kats, Japanese ones to be exact! As well as a few other Japanese treats, which are mostly matcha flavoured… My favourite. 😛 He bought me a little geisha pouch full of different flavoured Kit Kats, which I loved as it looked adorable! It came with a piece of paper inside telling you about all the flavours which I was pleased about, as you never know what you could be trying. For example there is a wasabi flavoured Kit Kat in there!

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 43 51 am_zpspm4gzlvy.jpg

Onto the main gifts from Dane and I was well and truly spoilt this year… But so was he. 😛 All of my gifts from him were thoughtful and I can’t really say I prefer one to the other, but I will of course say my favourite 3 or something. 😛

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 44 37 am_zpsvpzpb8pe.jpg

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 45 12 am_zpsjwrloqq5.jpg

One of my favourite gifts from what Dane bought me were these two sleeping Pokemon plushies from the Pokemon Centre in Japan. As you can see he gave me a Pikachu and Jolteon which I love, especially Jolteon’s cute little bum and feet. 😛 I knew I was going to get one of these but I didn’t have a clue which and these were both a lovely surprise to get. They’re now in my Pokemon cabinet in the living room.

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 44 12 am_zpsefanx2aq.jpg

Another one of my favourite presents from Dane was these South Park figures from the new game coming out in 2017, The Fracture But Whole. I already have a couple of the figures from the first game (Princess Kenny and Cartman as a wizard) and I love them so much, but not as much as these. I have Butters, Kenny and Cartman all as their super villain and hero alter egos. They’re now in my cupboard and look amazing. It’s a shame they didn’t bring anymore of the characters out, but I guess these three are the main ones.

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 11 29 41 am_zpsk25z6dvq.jpg

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 11 29 17 am_zps68pgco3i.jpg

I keep saying this is my favourite present from Dane even though I knew I was having it, but it’s my new jacket… A Pokemon jacket! This is by a brand I have grown to love since August when I bought my first pieces by her, the brand being Ohayou! Clothing. She’s a designer in Bristol and most of her designs are Pokemon related and anything Japanese and kawaii. As you can see from the pictures it’s a varsity style jacket with an adorable picture of Eevee on the back! I love it and since Christmas Day I’ve pretty much lived in it! I can’t wait to write a post about Ohayou! Clothing in the new year!

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 45 26 am_zpsfrwg0ehg.jpg

Everyone who knows me knows that I LOVE foxes and I think every Christmas we have shared since being together, Dane has always bought me a fox related present. This year he of course had to keep up the tradition and bought me this beautiful tote bag with a fox and wolf on it. I’ve viewed this seller on Etsy before and if you love foxes then you will love her work! He also bought one of her illustrated books about foxes, which I really enjoyed reading in bed on Christmas Day morning.

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 45 49 am_zpsokpxxzuj.jpg

Yay for manga! I’m in need of some new books to read after finally finishing Nana (and my heart broke!) and of course Dane knew I wanted some new material to read including Nichijou. As of yet I haven’t started to read it but I intend to start very soon. It’s like Azumanga Daioh so it is based around a school and the lives of the students there. I can’t wait to read it!

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 45 37 am_zpsviensvjj.jpg

MORE KIT KATS! I told you he bought me loads! These are sake flavoured and we tried one on Christmas Day. I LOVE them! They’re very strong smelling and tasting of sake, which I thought I would hate but really enjoyed. I would definitely buy these again… But I have a feeling they aren’t cheap.
 photo Photo 25-12-2016 8 45 31 am_zps71ywdymt.jpg

Finally we have a few little stocking fillers Dane gifted me, one not being in this picture as I forgot to take it! That item is the Bee & Puppycat cooking book. I thought it would be all jokey cooking recipes but they’re actually legit and ones that both the workers of the comic have submitted, as well as fans of the comic book too. Both me and Dane had a flick through it on Christmas Day and have already decided on some recipes that we want to bake and cook very soon.

Speaking of food he also got me a Pikachu sushi mold which I am SO EXCITED to use! I love making Japanese food and the next thing I want to learn how to make is sushi. I’ve already discussed with Dane that we make onigiri (rice ball with fish, chicken, veg inside… Basically like a sandwich to us but with rice instead of bread) with the mold. I can’t wait!

I knew I was getting these for Christmas (even though when it came to opening them I FORGOT ALL ABOUT THEM!) but Dane bought me some Victoria’s Secret body sprays. One is a minty scent and the other more vanilla and sugary. I love things like this and the VS body sprays are the best I’ve ever tried.

The final thing Dane bought me was a new calendar which as you can see is Pusheen.

 photo Photo 27-12-2016 10 19 04 am_zpsdx86obwt.jpg

This was meant to be one of my Christmas presents but Dane gave it to me about a week before Christmas and I love it so much! It’s a little glass bottle with a little soot sprite inside from the film Spirited Away. That’s one of my favourite films so I love anything to do with it. He’s now in my cabinet in the living room.

We spent Christmas at my parents house and then Boxing Day at Dane’s parents. We both had a lovely time at both houses and I wouldn’t change anything! Sadly my mom was working but me and Dane played games and watched movies with my dad and my brother, which was really fun! We practically did the same with Dane’s family too and we had a right laugh. We played Joking Hazard with my family and The Game of Life with Dane’s. We had lots of laughs and giggles!

I’m not showing off all my presents in  this post, mostly just Dane’s to be honest but I thought I would show off my favourite gifts from my family and Dane’s.

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 2 39 56 pm_zps5yzthnfn.jpg

 photo Photo 25-12-2016 2 39 53 pm_zps4kldgbjr.jpg

This was one of my favourite presents this year and it’s from my parents. It’s a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet with a martini glass charm. She kind of hinting to me getting something like this but I wasn’t 100% sure what it would be. I love it though, so much more than my Pandora bracelet and I’ve already eyed up what other additions I can add to it. I’ve found so far that it’s just so much lighter than Pandora to wear and therefore easier to wear.

 photo Photo 27-12-2016 9 55 32 am_zpswrnds8iq.jpg

My mom bought me and Dane a couple of other things too, some of which are on the way apparently in the post. But one of my other favourite items from her is this giraffe dressing gown (which I have on at the moment!). The hood on it is huge and had a giraffe face on which I think is cute. It’s also a great length too which is ideal as one of my old ones would drag on the ground as I walk up the stairs and trip me up. I’ve pretty much lived in this since Christmas Day!

 photo Photo 26-12-2016 10 57 42 pm_zpsvzmf24x7.jpg

 photo Photo 26-12-2016 10 57 34 pm_zps5pbr4h3g.jpg

Like the presents my parents bought me I won’t talk about everything, but more so my favourites. Dane’s parents bought me these lovely pajamas which I knew I was going to get due to asking for them, but they were still a lovely surprise and as soon as we got home Boxing Day I put them on. They’re burgundy with woodland animal print on. Right up my street! They also bought me a Lush gift set (Snow Fairy one!) and some stuff for the house.

 photo Photo 27-12-2016 2 32 19 pm_zpshekrwwk7.jpg
Finally we have one of the gifts that Dane’s brother and girlfriend bought for us. They bought us a huge box full of Japanese candy but sadly I never managed to get a picture of it. However I did manage to get a picture of the candle they bought us. It’s a WoodWick candle, a brand we both love just as much as Yankee Candle. This one is in the scent Black Cherry and it’s HUGE! When you burn these it makes a crackling sound like a fire and when we lit this for the first time it was nice to see the flame move over from the right to the left side of the wick. It’s a lovely present, especially for the house.

So those were my presents from Christmas this year. As well as these presents I did of course get more from work friends, my friends, family and more. I just wanted to show some that I had managed to snap pictures of.

I had a lovely Christmas this year even though it did come and go in the blink of an eye! I don’t have a clue when to take my Christmas tree down. Probably tomorrow after work as it’ll soon be 2017 and our tree wont need to be up anymore, sadly. I’ll miss our cute little tree. 😦

What lovely presents did you get for Christmas and did you have a lovely time over the Christmas period? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a great week so far!

Christmas ’16 Wish List

Ahh Christmas is just 20 something days away and it’ll be here before we know it! I pretty much have most of my Christmas present shopping done now which is great BUT what do I want for Christmas? Let me just add that this list was pretty damn hard to do as this year I found that I didn’t want all that much… I wanted a lot of make up if anything (Jeffree Star, Kat Von D and Korean beauty mostly!) so I didn’t want my list to be full of those things. Check out my wish list to find out what I decided to put on my list to Father Christmas. 😉

photo Christmas 2016 Wish List 1_zpsajeuwrn2.jpg

  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole The Coon Figurine – £11.99 (link)

If regular and old readers haven’t realised by now how much of a South Park fan both myself and Dane are then what the hell have you NOT been reading? We love South Park and I especially love the video games. I have 100% completed The Stick Of Truth and I’m eagerly awaiting the next game, The Fractured But Whole. I’m currently collecting the figures from the first game and of course I couldn’t NOT collect the ones from the second. Not only that but for Halloween in 2015 me and Dane both dressed as South Park characters, Dane as Mysterion and me as The Coon. So getting this would mean an awful lot to me. Although me and Dane have discussed about getting the bundle of these figures, which you can check out here.

  • Pokemon Pikachu Molded Mug – £15.00 (link)

Dane actually showed me this mug about a month ago when he was looking for some Christmas and birthday present ideas for me and I shrugged it off and said, “Meh we don’t need anymore mugs in the house.” BUT after a lot of thought I changed my mind and said how it would make a lovely edition, due to how unique it is. That and it reminded me of a Pikachu mug I made in art/pottery class well over 10 years ago when I was at school. It was awful but I loved that mug and used it as a pencil pot instead. So it would be lovely to use this in the cold mornings before work.

  • Pokemon Center Mew MokoMoko Plush – £28.99 (link)

Another Pokemon item! This time it’s Mew. I love Mew just as much as I love the Eeveelutions and sadly although my Eevee plushie collection is building up nicely, my Mew one remains small with me only owning one plush… Sad times. I’m hoping to change this next year however and what better way to start that than with this beautiful and soft looking Mew plushie! Of course from the Pokemon Center in Japan. It looks so soft and fluffy but sadly it isn’t cheap and I would have to wonder how big this must be to be at such a high price.

  • ColourPop x Hello Kitty Lippie Stix in shade Let’s Play – $5.00 (link)

Ew I said I wouldn’t add make up to this Christmas wish list but urgh I have to add something! One item won’t hurt, surely??? When I found out that ColourPop were going to have a Hello Kitty collection I went a little bit ape shit but said I wouldn’t buy anything due to the expensive shipping prices. However thanks to sellers on eBay it doesn’t cost as much as it would do to order from over the pond. I really love Let’s Play as it’s a gorgeous cranberry red with pink shimmer throughout. Perfect for the Christmas and winter season to wear to parties, at work and for shopping trips. I might end up treating myself to this on payday next week instead though. 😛

  • CraftyFoxCollective Iridescent Metal Effect Purple Quartz Crystal Pendant Black Leather Cord Necklace – £5.25 (link)

I’m not much of a jewellery wearer for many reasons, my main one due to work but I would love to start wearing necklaces I have always wanted to. I wear my one choker quite a lot and bought a thick velvet choker a few months back to wear (even though I hate it…) so I want to start buying more. This is a necklace I really like the look of and it doesn’t even cost that much! I saw some like this when I went down to London last month and I regret not buying it! Rainbow crystals like this one just make me happy to look at, so I would love something like this to wear all the time. They’re pretty easy to find on Etsy, but this was my favourite of the bunch.

  • Yankee Candle Cherries On Show Large Jar – £21.99 (link)

OMG when I saw this in a couple of Yankee Candle shops I was so damn happy! Sadly it isn’t on the official UK website… Why? I don’t have a clue! This was a permanent scent for Christmas years and years ago but after two years it was discontinued so when I saw it was back I got super excited and have told loads of people that I want it. QVC have them on a special offer at the moment, so I may try and persuade someone to get one or two for me whilst they’re around. 😛 This is one of my favourite Yankee Candle scents so I would love to have it back in my life again. 😛

  • Black Milk Clothing For Fox Sake Grey Toasties – $80.00 AUD (link) and For Fox Sake Cap Sleeve Skater Dress – $90.00 AUD (link)

I LOVE Black Milk Clothing and I search at least two or three times a week for items I can pick up second hand on eBay, so when I watched their latest YouTube revealing their Christmas collection this year I got super excited. They have not just one but TWO fox themed pieces this year which look adorable! Of course there are the pictures above of the two pieces of clothing, leggings and a dress. The leggings are my favourite of the two at the moment due to them being toasties, which means they’ll keep your legs lovely and warm when it’s cold outside. Could definitely do with those for Christmas! I’d wear them for New Years as well as my birthday. The dress is Dane’s favourite of the two and I do get why. It would be lovely to team up with a burgundy cardigan, some tights, boots and a big coat for Christmas parties, as well as for Christmas day. I doubt I will get either of these for Christmas as they are hella expensive, but I’ll keep hopeful for them… Or at least one of them. 😛

So that is my Christmas wish list for this year! What items do you have on your lists?

Throughout the Christmas period I will be writing a couple of gift idea posts including Final Fantasy for definite, possibly Christmas jumpers, as well as many many more!

What posts would you like to see though throughout December? Make sure to let me  know in the comments down below! I know I’ve been really quiet recently due to me being super busy with work and the house, but I’ll be trying to write plenty of posts throughout December.

I hope all my readers are well and until next time, take care all!

A/W 16 Games I Am Excited About

I am a nerd, gaming is my thing and since moving into the house I have realised how much I love playing games. They’re something I get to mong out in front of and just relax. It’s also nice to be able to take out some frustration and stress on them.

My current favourite to play right now is LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which I am currently trying to complete 100%, because I’m sad like that.

Alongside that I love playing Minecraft with Dane, as well as our friends online. Can never go wrong with that game!

But with so many games announced at E3 this year, I thought I would put together a post today about which games I am excited about for the remained of the year.

  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole – Release date 06.12.16 – £43.99 (link)

I love South Park, no denying that! I never got to play the first game The Stick Of Truth when it first came out but eventually my old job at Costa gifted me this and I was so hooked onto it. I even completed 100%, woohoo! So when Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced this a year ago I was so damn excited! Over the past year it has been developed and finally given the end of the this year the launch date. I won’t be waiting until Christmas to get this, it’ll be pre ordered a week before it’s due out. I’m so damn excited!

  • World of Final Fantasy – Release date 28.10.16 – £33.99 (link)

I’ve never been a gamer who can say, “OMG I LOVE all the Final Fantasy games!” Until 2011/2012 I had never played any of them and I’m not going to lie when I say that I don’t feel like I lost out. I’ve always been interested in the stories behind the games, but whenever I’ve played them I’ve never been a huge fan of the game play. Recently when I tried the demo for Final Fantasy XV I fell in love with the new game play. Due to being excited for this game (which will be mentioned on this post!) I started to get excited for other Final Fantasy games. This one included. I mean for a start the characters are so adorable looking, very kawaii and right up my street! All I know about it is you play as two twins who go to a different world from their own and fight, etc. Just all the chibi characters are adorable and pulled at my heart.

  •  Final Fantasy XV – Release date 29.11.16 – £42.00 (link)

This has so far been the only Final Fantasy game I have actually liked the look of and played feeling excited about too. I don’t know if it’s because the game play has changed with this game (according to a lot of people I know who love FF it has…) which I didn’t realise to be honest, but it is definitely due to said chance that the controls don’t seem as complex as they did before. The demo was a joy to play too, especially the cute little fox that you follow around throughout. The story just looks awesome too with the brothers and their emo alternative looks. I won’t be in a rush to pick this up, but I hope to eventually!

  • Detroit: Become Human – Release date TBC – £46.00 (link)

I can not express how damn excited I am for this game! I’m a massive fan of all David Cage’s games including Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls so this one HAS to be a part of my collection. It’s a very interesting concept revolving around robots and them becoming human, instead of just doing as we humans say. The trailers are beautiful and David Cage hasn’t let us down again! There have been so many trailers leading up to this game, so I advice you to YouTube search for them if you wish to see more. I hope this gets a release date for this year!

  • The Last Guardian – Release date 28.10.16 – £44.00 (link)

This game has been in the works for almost ten years now and it’s amazing that it is finally going to be released! Do you know what though? I waited so damn long for this game that I’m not as excited for it as I thought I was going to be… It won’t stop me from buying it though as it’s a game I am still excited to play. I guess it’s just a shame that it took so long to get it where it is today. The creature in the game is what has sold out to everyone is you ask me. The graphics of the game don’t look that amazing in all fairness, which is something a lot of people have been commenting on with this game. However this doesn’t bother me, as it still looks like a lovely game to play.

  • Mafia III – Release date 07.10.16 – £42.00 (link)

I like the Mafia games and I felt that the second one was ignored quite a bit due to Grand Theft Auto 4 coming out, which I thought was a bit of a shame! However now Mafia III is out and there isn’t any GTA game to compete with! I love the look of Mafia III too as it’s set in a period I love as well as in a part of America I would love to visit one day. The plot is very strong and I know I will love playing this game. I get a bit anxious playing games like this as I worry of shoot ups in missions and such that I won’t get very far as I’m not that great at playing games like this. However I am hoping that this game will help me gain some confidence as I really do want to get it.

  • Pokemon Moon – Release date 32.11.16 – £32.00 (link)

This is one of the games I am super excited about… Don’t think I need to explain why really. It’s Pokemon and that’s all you need to know! 😛 No I kid! I am excited for this, it’ll be cool to see what they’ve done differently with this game like the new Pokemon, the aloha evolution for older Pokemon such as Vulpix, Raichu, etc. I’ve also heard that you don’t battle at gyms or in the elite four anymore either, which will be odd! I’ll be getting this the day it comes out and probably playing it until I finish. I hope Dane will get it to play with me too, and if not I’ll buy it him for Christmas. 😉

So that was the list of games I am super excited about for 2016! I am going to be so poor by the end of the year I swear to God. 😛

What games are you excited about coming out this year? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Ginger Problems – Guest Post

Hey there everybody, Nat’s partner here!

Seeing as my dearest Natalee is away at this moment in time she has asked me to take over her blog and do some posts for her. I believe she may have mentioned in the past I am a person of a fairer complexion… A carrot top, a fire truck, a Duracell… AKA GINGER!

Over the years my hair has darkened and I’ve even dabbled in dying it half black (I was young, wanted to be unique, and thought going half-black meant I kept my ginger heritage, DILLIGAF). I have come to terms with my “affliction” and embrace it as part of who I am but I do know that there are a lot of people out there that are not so supportive of us ginger folk. Granted I have not received much serious abuse directed at my gingerness, yes my friends (myth busted; gingers do actually have friends) do mock me occasionally but I can be just as offensive back. I consider myself to be lucky to have had good normal human friends.

As I just mentioned I have not received much abuse, unlike some of my ginger brethren who get some real stick for just having their mother eat too many Wotsits during pregnancy. My brother has always been there to question my legitimacy of being a blood relative, yet my dad and grandad were both ginger so I can safely say gingerness runs in the family. My good friend “Massey” gave me the nickname “ginge” or “gingey” (say it with a French accent) and constantly mocked me for it, but he’s a fat bastard so were pretty even. There has been the rare situation where I have encountered people that you could call “dicks” who just prey on something to belittle you. The only way to combat those people is to fight fire with a more orangey fire, tap into that fabled ginger-rage and rip them a new arsehole. That seemed to work for me anyway. There are those circumstances which I have come across that I feel I should raise awareness of in regards to being ginger so that more people would understand the harsh life we copper haired people live.

So this is what grinds my ginger gears.

“You’re ginger!”

One thing that really gets me is being insulted. I don’t mean being insulted for being ginger, I mean insulting my intelligence. Insult my gingerness all you want but at least be intelligent about it don’t say things like “Ha! You’re ginger”, “You been tangoed” or, “Hey look its Prince Harry!” Unless you want a barrage of expletives and be the brunt of my abuse for the rest of the evening. Be original, be unique! I like to hear new and funny ways to mock me. Just don’t repeat the same crappy insults you were saying in primary school. Speaking of crappy insults… Gingivitis is probably the most over used insult I have heard, especially whilst I was working in a pharmacy. It is a gum disease, no I do not have “ginger-vitis”! Just no…

“You’re quite attractive… For a ginger”

I never really knew quite how to take this. It was said to me by an ex’s friend as we were entering a nightclub (this was just after my ex dumped me). In one sense she was calling me attractive… For a sub human organism. Said friend was mocked for stating such an absurd statement but I went with it and it helped me feel better about myself with my above ginger-average looks. I know that being a descendant of orang-utans has been a cock block on a multitude of occasions, with people reacting so negatively towards a ginger male making advances on them (maybe they thought they could catch gingivitis?) but sometimes my charm and my “You’re a more attractive Mick Hucknall” looks won some women over. Yes I know that out in the world there are those of you freaks that like us redheads. The general consensus though tends to favour the female of our species which I can entirely understand. Us gingers seem to be like Eastern Europe, the men tend to be fairly odd looking whilst a lot of the women are strikingly attractive so much so there’s porn dedicated to it (but then that statement doesn’t seem to work when you bring in Rule 34). Seriously though, how many male ginger models are out there? In terms of celebrity gingers I only have Ed Sheeran, Mick Hucknall, Carrot Top, Rupert Grint, Tim Minchin, Leigh Francis, and Prince Harry. That is off the top of my head but I am pretty sure that is it. One of the biggest sex symbols, Jessica Rabbit, although a cartoon is still a red head. Therein lies another problem. I like ginger women (I consider myself open minded and like any version of women) but I could never be in a relationship with one. Ginger on ginger cannot morally happen, it would be like going out with my sister. It would definitely look that way to outsiders. But even so I can admire their beauty and have almost incestuous crushes on women like Felicia Day, Emma Stone, Christina Hendricks, Isla Fisher the list goes on!

Meanwhile here is what ginger men have to offer…

Catching “Ginger-vitis”

Gingivitis is a gum disease. It has nothing to do with gingers. Just no. I know I have already stated this, but it’s so bad it needs to be said again.

“Ginger Kids”

This one isn’t relating to children, this is in fact relating to the South Park episode named so. I love the show and my issue is not with the content in the episode, directly at least. Whatever Matt Stone and Trey Parker write is always full of social commentary and should never be taken to heart. What I have an issue is the way in which people deal with most things and take only what suits and improves their situation, no matter how petty and childish it is. I had an unfortunate experience with some chavs playing Cartman’s speech about ginger kids through a crappy phone on a bus. It was aimed at me, I overheard the build up to it. Granted I was not intimidated by them, and I didn’t allow it to ruin my day. It is just infuriating how some people have the audacity to use something out of context of the whole episode that I love to hurt, and belittle me, just because of hair colour.

Angry Ginger Kid

I don’t have much to say about this, but that guy ranting about the same South Park episode mentioned above gave us gingers a bad rep. Thanks dude.

I suppose he made the most of his own infamy though so good on him.

Extinction

It shouldn’t really be news to people but ginger people aren’t going extinct at all (sorry, not sorry!). Even though we are a rare breed we’re still going strong, in the background of your genes waiting for that time to arrive when we meet someone else with the recessive gene.

Sunlight

I am a day-walker. That means that I can withstand sunlight. I have been to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and I didn’t burn once (even whilst using factor 4!). In fact my face actually tanned. The only time I have been burnt in recent times is on a university snowboarding holiday where nobody really cared to cream up, and pretty much everyone got goggle burn. Some were a hell of a lot worse than me.

What gets me annoyed though is the assumption that I will burn within seconds of being exposed to a smidgen of sun light. Much like this footage of ginger falling victim to a vicious werewolf attack whilst helpless bystanders do nothing but watch the horror unfold.

To those people that feel the need to warn me about the dangers of my fair complexion and being outside… Thanks. Thank you for giving me a heads up on how this year I have a chance of being burnt in slightly overcast weather. I never knew that. In my whole twenty-six years of being on this Earth, no one ever told me that. OR, I seem to have forgotten that you tell me EVERY SINGLE TIME SUNSHINE APPEARS.

I don’t know how many other gingers would feel this way, I know that there are some out there that do crisp up pretty easy. My dad is one of them. I suppose it would only apply to my fellow day-walkers.

Souls

I am an empiricist. Even if I contemplated the notion that souls even existed, you prove to me you have a soul before you say I don’t. I studied theories of mind, body and soul in philosophy so I have some grasp on the technicalities on having a soul. You may call that evil, you may claim I only think that because I am a ginger devil spawn. I may sometimes feel uneasy about going through automatic doors, as they seem to respond to my presence a bit later than other non-gingers. It changes nothing, you are just as soulless as a ginger. Deal with it.

There you have it. My list of gripes and groans about the world from the perspective of a ginger. Nat allowed me to express my grievances, even with my somewhat blunt and abrasive style (forgive me!) all in the name of good fun..

Let me know what you think in the comments down below! Do you know any ginger people? Or are you a ginger yourself? Make sure to let me know.

This Is Hallowe’en…

Legit didn’t sing that title as I typed it out… If you don’t know where it’s from, kindly check out the video linked below…

But that isn’t the point of this post this morning. It is officially Hallowe’en next Saturday and I’m pretty damn excited for it! I always get excited for Hallowe’en and I’m one of these people who as soon as October stars, I class the month as Hallowe’en month until the start of November.

Although I love Hallowe’en, I haven’t actually “celebrated” it and gone out dressed up for years now. Reason? There is no reason to be honest. I guess I’ve just been too busy being an adult, with a job, and a relationship. This year has changed mind and both me and my boyfriend have said we’ll be going out this year, and going all out at that!

We’ve debated and planned for months about what we could dress up as for Hallowe’en and finally we came up with an idea that wouldn’t just look cool, but would work alongside each other too.

So, who have we gone for?

Image taken from South Park Wikia

Of course it was going to be South Park related! I’ll be dressing up as Cartman’s The Coon, whilst my boyfriend will be Kenny’s Mysterion.

I’m not going to lie when I admit that I thought making the costumes would be super easy… It hasn’t been but that being said, it hasn’t been really hard either.

We spent all weekend working on the costumes and I’m over halfway there with mine now. My mask, ears and tail are all done, which took all weekend to get done. I also have the claws halfway done, as well as the t-shirt which I have nearly finished sewing the C onto. All I need to do is sort the cape out, with both the length, the C on the back, and the gold/yellow buttons, and of course finish off what I have started already.

However my boyfriend’s hasn’t been as straight forward as mine (damn you Kenny!) but we’re getting there! His t-shirt and leggings have been dyed a lilac purple, and a green M is ready to sew onto the t-shirt now. As well as that he has some white Y fronts to wear, and he needs to have his hooded cape made up, his balaclava face mask, and his gloves. The only thing we have managed to complete for his costume so far is the green ? for his head, and even then it needs a little more work.

It was really nice being able to sit and work on our costumes together the way we were, it was just somewhat relaxing and gave us some creative bonding time together, which I always like. I’m pretty sure we’ll be continuing with these next week, in time for Hallowe’en. We’re not even sure what we’ll be doing for it yet! But depending on how the night out goes, we’re hoping to wear these as cosplay in the future at conventions.

We love South Park, so to be able to try and show our love through Hallowe’en is such a great thing. I’m pretty sure we will get plenty of pictures when these are complete, which I’ll make sure to show you guys as soon as possible!

What are you dressing up as for Hallowe’en? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope everyone had a great weekend.
