May 2018 Collective Haul!

I don’t know how managed to collect so much stuff over the course of a month but I have! I haven’t written a haul post in forever so I thought it would be nice to do one today. I just feel like I’m accumulated loads of goodies, some of them are gifts as well which I’ll mention when I get to them. I thought it might be a good idea to write about all the shit (hahaha :P) I’ve purchased recently. I love reading haul posts, especially collectives ones so I thought you guys might have liked to read this too! 😀

  • Barbie x Missguided American Flag Joggers.

Back in May Dane dug out all the McDonald’s Monopoly vouchers he’d gained and he had LOADS of Missguided ones at 30% off. I decided to take the plunge and have a look on the website for what I could treat myself to. Now, Missguided really isn’t my sort of style. I looked for ages for a dress (or two) that I could pick up for work but they’re all going out bodycon style and urgh… I’m too fat and old for that shit now. 😛 I went for a look at the Barbie pieces to see what they might have cute over there and I found these joggers. On my weekends I’m really becoming a joggers/leggings and a geeky top sort of gal when it comes to popping out for errands. I picked these up in a size bigger than I am as I wanted them baggy… I should have ordered my size in all honesty. These are HUGE but at the same time it means they’re really comfortable.

  • Primark Spider-Man T-Shirt.

This t-shirt was bought on a whim after venturing into my nearest Primark store. I’m sucker for a new t-shirt and I especially am when it comes down to anything geek and nerd related! I picked up this t-shirt because of how simplistic and yet adorable it is! I don’t like that the patch is on the side that I wear my braid on, as it means my hair gets caught on it sometimes. I’ll live though! This was only £8.00, which I find a bargain, even for Primark!

  • Black Milk Clothing Midnight Owl Skater Dress.

This was a purchase that I am so happy I made! I love Black Milk Clothing and I especially love their skater dresses. They always make me feel so pretty no matter what and I always get complimented on them. I picked this one up on a whim from eBay, in a size bigger than I usually get, which actually fits really nicely! It’s safe to say, it’s going to now be my go to dress for work, in general and even for special occasions. This only cost me £25, which included P&P. To buy from Black Milk Clothing it would have cost me $85.00 AUS, which converts to £48.42, that wouldn’t even include how much I’d have to pay to ship it to the country and possible charges on top of that as well. URGH, buying through eBay really is the best way! I plan to wear this to a friends wedding in July and I wore it for mine and Dane’s anniversary too. I’m after some more Black Milk Clothing skater dresses now, I honestly can’t get enough of them. I’m scouring eBay daily now for whenever new items are added. I have my eye on a few, but we’ll see what happens.

  • ASOS Lady & The Tramp Sweater.

This was a random purchase on Depop that I made recently, which was also my first Depop purchase! I remember when the matching sweater and joggers of this came out on ASOS 4 years ago and being a Lady & The Tramp fan, I picked up the joggers (which I still own and wear!). I went to order the sweater a week later, but it was sold out. Zoella had worn this set and everyone went mad for it, yuck (I’m not a Zoella fan…). ANYWAY after years of finding this sweater online and it selling out, I finally took the plunge and bought it! It only cost me £13 with P&P which I was so chuffed about! The original cost of this was £30 so I was right to wait 4 years for it… I guess. 😛 It’s weird that I found my wish list post back from July 2014 where I was talking about how I wanted this sweater! I feel so fucking old right now.

  • Snot Girl Volume 2.

I mentioned this comic book series recently on both my May favourites as well as on my June wish list. I remember picking up this comic book a year ago after a YouTuber raving about it. I didn’t realise the story line was going to go the way it has and due to that I love it so much and if I felt that way after reading volume 1 then oh my fucking God this volume is crazy! I won’t say anything in case I give anything away, but this comic book has gone from what I thought was going to just be about a blogger and her drama, but it’s fast turned into some sort of horror/thriller style story based around a blogger. It is so damn good and I would love to see this go into a TV series of a film in the future like how Scott Pilgrim did.

  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Volume 6.

I feel like I’ve spoken WAY TOO MUCH about this series lately and it’s kind of making me sick now to keep talking about it. 😛 This is a manga series I love and adore and have bought as soon as it’s come out so far for all 6 volumes. I pre ordered this just before it came out and read it as soon as I got it. This is a series I really love and I especially love how now I’m further than the anime series is. I’ve not quite finished reading it yet, but I will do VERY soon. 😛

  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Life Volume 2.

Another manga I have spoken WAY TOO MUCH ABOUT recently, but can you blame me? It’s amazing and adorable! Also at the same time it’s very strange how the story of Kanna and her friend Saikawa is and this shows more throughout this series. If you love Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid the anime version then you NEED to read this manga series at least! I know so many people who love Kanna, and I can’t blame them really. She’s so adorable and innocent.

These items below are now all gift related!

I recently had some issues with Lush Santa’s Christmas shower cream. It’s a bright red colour and obviously due to what they’ve added to the product to make it this colour, it’s stained various parts of my bath, as well as my shower puff and even my armpits (only for the day though). So I wrote to them on Twitter to complain. They were really helpful and offered to give me my money back, but that meant sending the product back and 1. I couldn’t be arsed to do that and 2. Why the fuck should I have to send it back?! What are they going to do with it that I can’t do myself? AKA throw it away.

They were lovely enough to also offer to sent me some goodies as a sorry, which I opted for. They asked me to list them some products I either love or would like to try. They were nice enough to send me one of my favourite products, as well as new one I’ve been wanting to try!

I just want to quickly add here that I know a lot of shit has been going on and happening around Lush lately due to their recent and disgraceful campaign. I don’t agree with it whatsoever. I also want to add I haven’t bought from Lush since I picked up the Santa’s Christmas shower creams just after Boxing Day. I need to really address my thoughts and feelings on Lush lately, but we will save that for another post!

  •  Lush Supertramp Bubble Bar.

This is the product I mentioned being one of my favourites. I remember back in 2015 when me and Dane went to London and it was the first time I’d been to the Oxford Street Lush! This was an exclusive to the store at the time and as I loved Tramp shower gel back in the day, I knew I had to give the bubble bar a go too! The bubble bar to me is better as it isn’t as strong and it’s one I love to use when I’m feeling under the weather with hayfever or a cold. It really clears my head. I’m so happy Lush sent me this and even happier that if and when I need to buy another bar of it, I now can on their website.

  • Lush Oaty Creamy Dreamy Oat Milk Shower Cream.

This was the product I wanted to try as I haven’t really heard much about it, but when seeing how it’s made in the past it looks really moisturising! It smells amazing to be honest and really surprised me. I was expecting creamy oat and vanilla scents, but this smells heavily of lavender, which is in fact one of the ingredients. If you love lavender, you’ll love this! It’s not a thick shower cream like Santa’s Christmas and you only need a little of this for it to go a long way. This is definitely a shower cream you’d ideally want to use before bed, but I love using it in the morning on my days off as the scent does perk me up. I’ll probably buy a big bottle of this for my mom at Christmas as she loves her lavender scents.

This wasn’t a gift from Lush but actually from my manager at work! It’s belated birthday present and I am oh so grateful for it! She gave it me just before I broke up for my week off work and I used it the next morning before going to work.

  • Lush Plum Rain Shower Gel.

This is a shower gel from Lush I’ve wanted to try since it came out, but I just never have. When my manager gave it to me I was so happy and excited! So much so I opened it up for a sniff at my desk. 😛 She had heard of me saying how much I love Snow Fairy and popped into the store to try and get one, but alas being a Christmas product they didn’t have it in stock. I can only assume that the staff recommended Plum Rain to her and if so, they did a good job! Then again, what else could they really recommend?! Their shower gel selection is so shit these days! I mean come on Lush, why did you discontinue The Comforter?! Surely it wasn’t doing poor in sales… I find it hard to believe myself… ANYWAY this has a gorgeous fresh scent and it actually reminds me of Christmas due to The Body Shop’s old sugar plum shower gel! This doesn’t smell as sweet as theirs though. Either way I love using this in the mornings as the scent really does wake you up!

So that was my collective haul! I know it doesn’t seem/look like a lot but bloody hell I’ve been spend happy lately! I was also going to mention mine and Dane’s anniversary presents but I’ll save that for a separate post.

I was also going to mention some of the pin badges I’ve bought from Ohayou! Clothing through their Kickstarter and Patreon but I’m going to save those for a separate post as well as I think they deserve some love all on their own! 😀 Not only will I be talking about pin badges but I intend to talk about all of their items I own so far, as well as items I’d like to own! Stay tuned for that, it’s been a post I’ve been meaning to write for the longest time!

What have you guys been buying the past month or so? Make sure to let me know down in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

February Favourites ’18

It’s now March and we are well and truly having a second winter instead of starting spring! We had snow only a couple of days ago, which pissed me off something rotten. I want longer days now to involve some nicer weather NOT SNOW AND ICE!

Hopefully with March here we will start to have some spring days on their way too now. I’m excited for going on long walks in the evenings after work with Dane, as well as on the weekends.

For now however, it is time for February’s favourites!

  • Lush Supertramp Bubble Bar.

Sadly I don’t have this to show you anymore as it’s alllllllll gone! I love Supertramp bubble bar from Lush, it’s definitely one of my favourite products. I’m not a massive fan of earthy or grassy scents but I adore this! Whenever I use it it really does lift any sort of head cold I may be suffering from. It’s definitely a great bubble bar to use in the colder months and with all the bloody snow we’ve had, this has been such a lovely pampering one to use in the evenings after work. This is an Oxford Street exclusive but you can pick it up on the website which is awesome! I usually buy loads of these whenever I go down to London, but thankfully I won’t have to do this anymore.

  • Romantic Bear WOW Long Lasting Lip Color in Watermelon.

I have been meaning to reviewing these for the longest time, but as of yet I haven’t gotten around to it. I haven’t used any of my lip peeled stains for a while but recently I just fancied giving them a go. I’ve been using various colours, but the shade Watermelon is the one I go to the most. It’s a light blush pink shade which I love wearing for work. I apply lip balm over the top and my lips stay lovely and soft all day! These are really great products for the price too, I can’t wait to finally review them this month!

  • Barry M Under The Sea Nail Paint in Butterflyfish and Jellyfish (review here).

I couldn’t decide between the two but if there’s a nail polish I’ve been wearing loads this past month, it’s these two beauties by Barry M! They’re from the new Under The Sea collection, which I reviewed recently and linked above. They’re gorgeous nail polish shades to bring us into spring… When it FINALLY gets here! I couldn’t decide between the two shades, although I’ve always loved Jellyfish more.

  • Elemis Collagen Cleansing Balm.

This is an old favourite that I come back to time and time again! My mom bought me a new tub for my birthday, which I was really grateful for. I’ve been using it a couple of times a week when I feel like my skin really needs it. My skin has been really bad this past month, which in itself sucks as I constantly look like a spotty teenager! This balm has really helped with soothing my skin when it feels dry, but I definitely don’t feel the need to use it daily. This balm is amazing for removing make up too, apparently. As regular readers will know, I don’t wear a full face of make up so I wouldn’t know. My mom is the one who has told me it’s great at removing make up. 😛

  • Nivea Cashmere Indulgent Moisture Caring Hand Wash.

We use these hand washes at work and when picking up some new hand wash last month I decided to grab one of the ones we use at work, as well as a couple more of the Nivea hand washes. This is one of the ones I’m using at the moment and it’s amazing! It’s a lovely thick hand wash, well more like a cream really and smells delightful! Usually my hands will flare up with eczema with hand washes towards the end of the packaging, but this one I’ve not had ANY issues with! Savers sell these for a £1 each so I definitely recommend them if you fancy giving something new a go.

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World!

This is an anime that Dane has loved since it first came out and I never understood his love for it until recently! He got me to start watching it with him and it’s a mixture of funny and random as hell! I bought him two of the girls (Megumin who is the red witch character in the gif and Darkness who is wearing yellow in the gif) Nendoroid characters, which he loved! So with finally having most of the characters it was time to watch the anime he loves. It’s just so random and hilarious! Although I’m happy Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid won the anime comedy award at The Anime Awards recently. I do feel like KonoSuba deserved it more.

Favourite Film – A Silent Voice.

I know this isn’t exactly a new film and I know I’ve mentioned it before but I gave this another watch in February and I forgot just how much I loved it. This time I watched it in dubbed and although I prefer the subbed version, it was still lovely to watch. I just forgot how much I loved the story, as well as the manga which fast became one of my favourite manga series to date! If you haven’t watched this and you want to, DO IT! You won’t regret it! Word of warning, it’s not the most delightful and merry of anime in the world and it can be incredibly depressing. It made me cry at the end when I watched it recently… Oh what a weed I am. 😛

Favourite Book – Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Life Vol. 1

I picked up a couple of new manga books in February but only read them as the end of the month was drawing to a close! If there is a manga series (and anime) that I have fallen in love with since 2017 it’s Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid! It’s so adorable, funny and kind of cringey all at the same time, but that’s why I love it so much. This new spin off series about Kanna, the youngest dragon is ADORABLE and if I do say so myself, drawn so much better than the original! I already can’t wait for volume 2 to come out in June, which I already know will be here before I know it.

Favourite Song/Album – Keane Hopes and Fears and The Killers Hot Fuss.

These are two albums I listened to quite a bit throughout February and I think it’s mostly due to the fact I fancied a blast from the past. These were two bands I listened to growing up and these two albums were my life at one point. They both came out in 2004 which less than a month apart from one another and I remember buying them with my pocket money from Sainsbury’s after school. I mostly listened to these on my drive to and from work and there would be tracks coming on that I found myself saying, “Holy shit! I forgot this song even existed!” but finding myself remembering the lyrics as I sang along. Let me also add that I had the BIGGEST crush on Brandon Flowers growing up and it was thanks to Smile Like Your Mean It where my crush on him began, as well as for guyliner. OH and of course it was the song that introduced me to the band. 😛

Favourite Game – Erm…

So I haven’t really been playing any games recently. Not for any reason in particular either other than I can’t be arsed… I’ve probably played the odd game with Dane or a couple of mobile games but nothing to write home about, sadly. I know we both want to get a couple of new games this month so I’m pretty sure my March favourites will have a game in there! 😛

So those were my favourites from February! I can’t believe we’re already into March and here’s fingers crossed for no more snow and more sunshine.

What were your favourites from last month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week.

London Haul

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 04 53 pm_zps72nthk0b.jpg

Wow what a long week it has been since returning from London! Of course I do apologise for how quiet I have been the past two weeks, but as I said on my Twitter account, I have been way too busy with the house to think or have time to do anything with my blog. Sorry about this, but I know that my regular readers understand, and for this I love you all and thank you as much as I can!

I have just got back from London after visiting my good friend Sophi, and I had an amazing time! I ended up spending more than I intended to as we went shopping around London, as well as in Stratford shopping centre. So I thought why not show all my lovelies what I bought down in the smoke!

I said from the start of my trip to London that I wouldn’t buy any clothing, as I don’t need any, but I found that was the majority of what I bought. Oops! I picked up three t-shirts, and a coat.

The first t-shirt I picked up was this Rugrats Reptar one from the Nickelodeon shop in London. It wasn’t cheap to be honest at £20, but I thought it would make a nice treat and was a real throwback to my childhood as I loved watching Rugrats growing up. So much so that I still watch it to this day if I fancy a bit of a nostalgia trip. As you can see it’s a purple t-shirt, with Reptar on, as well as his name in metallic pink writing. You can pick this up online here.

The second and third t-shirts that I bought were both from HMV, not usually a place you would think sold clothing. They do sell t-shirts though, usually relating to bands, TV shows, movies, and games, etc. You get the point! These two t-shirts were both £12.99 each, however HMV have an offer where you can buy two for £20, which is a bargain really! So of course I took them up on that offer, because it would have been rude not to.

The Harley Quinn one is to coincide with The Suicide Squad, as it’s meant to be the same as the t-shirt she wears in the movie (which FYI I am excited to see when it comes out!). I just love the design of it, it’ll be something nice to rock in the summer with shorts… Like Harley Quinn really! A girl I work with (Hi Rhi! ^_^) has this t-shirt too, and I heard about it from her before my trip to London. As you can probably gather this is a woman’s t-shirt. Sadly any men out there who want it won’t find it in HMV. I would have linked back to this for people to look into buying from HMV, but it isn’t on the website sadly.

I also picked up a Deadpool t-shirt from HMV. It had to be done, as I LOVE Deadpool and I knew whilst I was in London I wanted to pick up some Deadpool goodies, or at least one. This was the only thing I actually managed to pick up, and I don’t regret it. This is a pretty straight forward tee with just a picture of Deadpool with his arms folded, nothing spectacular or special. I don’t mind that to be perfectly honest. This is a mans tee, sorry ladies they don’t have any specifically for us! I don’t mind this though as I picked up a smaller size so it would fit snug on me. You can find this on the website, and I have linked it here for you.

As well as the two t-shirts I picked up from HMV I also bought myself a few other things, not clothing related. I picked up these Kurt Cobain pin badges for my backpack, as during my trip to London I decided that I would start to use it again more often. I love Nirvana and Kurt so I though it would be cool to get some badges with his face on them. These were a steal at £3.99 and I can’t wait to pop a few on my backpack. I also picked up a DVD copy of Forrest Gump after visiting Bubba Gump Shrimp. It’s a film I’ve been meaning to buy and add to my collection for some time now, as it’s one of my favourite films. I put it on for me and Dane to watch when I got back from London, and I cried so many times that I ended up losing count. Oh dear. 😦 It was another bargain at only £2.99!

My favourite purchase of my trip to London was definitely my new coat, a yellow raincoat! I have been after one of Topshop’s raincoats for years now, and every time I saw one I liked the look of it seemed to sell out really quickly, if not straight away. I saw this one in the Oxford Street store and decided to grab it with both hands before I was never able to buy one again! I’ve bought it two sizes too big for me so it didn’t feel snug, but instead was more roomy and baggy. Reason being so that in autumn and winter I can layer up and not feel uncomfortable. I found from wearing it around London for a couple of days that this coat is incredibly warm, and will be perfect for rainy days! The hood is huge which I’m really pleased about, as I love any jacket, coat, or hoodie was a hood that swamps my whole face. I can’t wait to wear these with my Jake Dr Martens boots (you can read about them here) as they’re both yellow and will look amazing! With all this rain we’ve been having they’ll work perfectly together. Yay! You can fine this raincoat on Topshop’s website here.

I mentioned before that I went to Bubba Gump Shrimp whilst in London and shortly after having a meal there with Sophi, I decided I wanted to get some goodies from the gift shop. Before heading down the restaurant gave us our blue flashing glasses that we’d had drinks in. As Sophi already had a blue glass already, she kindly gave me hers so that me and Dane could have one each in the house. I love that she does things like that! I also bought two pint glasses from the gift shop, which were meant to be two for £10, but the guy only charged me £5.98 for two. I didn’t say anything and accepted how cheap they were! One is going to be for my dad whenever he comes to visit me at the house, and the other for myself and Dane to use whenever. They’re just bog standard pint glasses, which will come in handy for pop, beer, etc. By the way I do apologise for the pint glasses still being wrapped up. I don’t want to open them until me and Dane have moved into the house. But you all know what a pint glass looks like anyway! 😛

Of course I couldn’t go down to London and not pop into the Lush on Oxford Street. That would just be out of order, and it was one of the last shops me and Sophi popped into on my first day in London. I had promised Dane (and myself) that I wouldn’t buy anything… But I caved in and ended up buying two things. DOH! I took in five empty black pots and bagged myself a free pot of The Prince of Darkness face mask, which I was super happy about! I haven’t used it yet, but I hope to soon.

The two products I bought were Supertramp bubble bar, which is an exclusive to Oxford Street, and their newest bath bomb Lava Lamp (link here), which Oxford Street did release when they first opened last year, but discontinued it shortly after. I imagine to work on a better formula and scent for it… Who knows! Either way I thought I was going to go crazy and want to buy more, but alas I only really wanted to get my favourite exclusive, that being Supertramp, and I’ve always wanted to try Lava Lamp. I’ll be giving them a go soon enough and reviewing them. Woop!

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 22 52 pm_zpsmrlcrylv.jpg

The majority of the rest of things I bought were food and drinks related, either Japanese or American. I said that I would be coming back with loads of Japanese snacks, but I didn’t really think about bringing this much back! Boy do I have a lot to show…

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 22 58 pm_zps0zejm2ws.jpg

All my Japanese goodies are mostly from Japan Centre, but I also grabbed some stuff from an independent Japanese supermarket too. I bought two types of Pocky, banana and matcha (green tea), my two favourites! They cost less than a £1 each so I bought two of each, because why not! I also bought some random goodies too such as Pokemon wafers, a panda wafer, as well as three bottles of ramune soda! One is missing however due to me and Dane drinking it… Oops!

I also bought plenty of American sweets, mostly blue raspberry flavoured as they have always been my favourite. Just loads of random things. These were mostly from Gobstoppers in Stratford shopping centre, and I’m just going to say that I will never go there again. I will try the one in Birmingham to see what it’s like, but I judged the Stratford one so hard. They were selling out of date stock from over a year ago, AT FULL PRICE, the staff were rude, and they charged ridiculous prices for things you can buy in Asda for 99p. A complete joke, and I won’t be going there again…

 photo Photo 19-06-2016 9 23 02 pm_zpsrumn1bnv.jpg

Another sweet related place I bought stuff from was the legendary Choccywoccydoodah, which I had never heard about until my friend Sophi told me about it. We ventured into the cafe there, which was amazing, and to be honest (for me) the best part about it. The shop itself was lovely, with some beautiful creations, but at the same time I do feel like it was really tacky… Sorry (I’m not sorry…)! I ended up buying some chocolate, one little slab of dark (which you can buy here), and a larger slab of chocolate with green tea flavour (which you can buy here). I’m excited to try these, as the dark chocolate we had in the cafe was gorgeous! It was ridiculously overpriced to be honest, and I doubt I’ll ever buy anything from there again. I feel bitchy saying that, but it just seems a rip off for what you’re getting, especially when I’m not a huge chocolate lover anyway.

Apart from the goodies that I also picked up for Dane (a Fallout 4 Dogmeat Pop Vinyl!, a book, and some sweeties) that is all I bought! My friend Sophi gave me and Dane one of the nicest moving in presents we have received so far, with it being matching Disney mugs! Lady and The Tramp for me, and Stitch for Dane. We love them, and will be using them lots when we move into the house. She also gave me a medium Pink Sands Yankee Candle that she didn’t want, as well as a Charity Pot lotion from Lush that she didn’t want either. All the goodies! I intend to give her something very soon as a thank you for having me stay at hers whilst we were in London. That and it’s her birthday soon!

So that was all the stuff I bought whilst in London! I wish I could have ventured to more places that sold Japanese related things, but that will be for next time.

What have you bought nice for yourself lately? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all, and I hope you’re having a good week.

Lush Oxford Street and Haul!

I don’t even know where to start with this post other than saying how cool the Oxford Street store was. It was bigger than I thought it was going to be and really easy to navigate around. It also wasn’t as busy as I thought it was going to be, which I’m really pleased about.

I sadly didn’t get any pictures inside the store, although I think my boyfriend took some video footage… But don’t quote me! I wanted to take pictures but I was so excited about sniffing things, buying things, and being quick due to wanting to look around the rest of London that I forgot… The only images I have at this moment in time is my bag of goodies and the wrapping of them… At the time I hadn’t taken things out of the packets so there aren’t any pictures of what I bought… Although I will attach a picture of each item as I talk about it briefly (luxury bath oil images taken from Coal Harbour).

Lots of purchases!

I do apologise that I can’t show anything off but I took these pictures at my boyfriends house and I didn’t really wish to open anything until I got home. I will be reviewing each item as and when I use it however so keep eyes peeled in the future for those.

Overall I spend £30.50 and I wanted to ideally spend £20-£30 and as my dad gave me some spending money for London, I was able to put that towards these purchases. For all I got it is a lot of money, but due to my sensitive skin I don’t use a lot of product in each bath anyway so this selection is sure to last me months! Probably up to Christmas!

SO! Let’s go over what I picked up.

The first products I’ll be talking about are the luxury bath oils, which were something I was rather excited about, due to these little bad boys being new to Lush. They’re exactly the same as the luxury bath melts, only smaller and with a lot more variety to choose from. I can imagine these will replace the bath melts at some point considering two of the bath oils I picked up are exactly remakes of the bath melts.

Floating Island – “Float away and clear your mind. Let your troubles melt away with sandalwood and lemon essential oils.” This isn’t one I thought I would pick up, but I remember the bath bomb version of this and it always smelt so amazing! This is available as a larger version of the bath melt, which I can see me trying in the future. This reminds me of vanilla ice cream, and I honestly cannot smell the sandalwood and lemon, which is odd.

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment – “Sweet treat for silky skin. Moisturising marshmallow oil whipped up with cocoa butter and almond oil.” When I saw that Lush had made this popular bath melt into a bath oil, I wondered what the point in it was. However when I smelt it in the store me and my boyfriend fell in love and I bought one for myself, and for him. We gave this a go the second night we stayed in London and its probably one of the nicest Lush bath products I have used in quite some time. It smells JUST LIKE Snow Fairy, which is a favourite of mine and left us smelling gorgeous and feeling soft and silky. I wish I could have bought more of these, but it’s definitely made me want to try the bath melt version.

Double Vitality“Zing zing zing went my heartstrings. Revitalising peppermint and lemon awaken the sense and put a zine in your step.” I hadn’t really thought about looking at this bath oil until my friend Mali (over at maliberrymakeup) reviewed it on her blog and it didn’t just sound lovely, but it looked lovely too when used in the bath. It smells so delicious! You can definitely smell both the peppermint and lemon and it’s just so refreshing and perfect for refreshing and waking you up in the morning. I can’t wait to try this one! I was going to pick up two, but I left it.

Shark Infested Custard“What’s yellow and dangerous? Not this! Full of luxurious butters, oils and irresistible fragrance you’ll be heading jaws first into the bath.” This was a bath oil I had ummed and ahhed over as I wasn’t sure whether or not I would like it. However when I smelt it, I fell in love. It’s a gorgeous vanilla/custard scent that just reminds me of when I was little. My parents have always loved vanilla flavoured things and that is something that has rubbed off on me. This will be nice to use in the evenings when I just want a chilled out bath.

I was pretty excited for what the Oxford Street exclusives were when it came to bubble bars as they just appeared to be more varied than the bath bombs. Two of the bubble bars also carry the same scents as two of my all time favourite Lush products that have now been discontinued, so I was pretty excited for those two. I could have probably bought more, but I was good.

Milky Bath“Hot milk? Don’t cry over spilt milk – bathe in it! Made with fairly traded cocoa butter for softness.” Out of all the products this is probably the one I am worrying that I won’t like. But that being said, once again my friend Mali reviewed this and made it sound exactly how I hoped it would be… So I guess I just need to try it out and see how I feel about it. It does look gorgeous though, like a little baby milk bottle. This comes in a soap too, but I didn’t look at that.

Supertramp“Oh I wood! A bath with this mossy number is like getting down and dirty in the undergrowth.” I loved Tramp shower gel when it was out and literally as I started to fall in love with it, Lush took it away and discontinued it, now only to charge a fucking fortune through the Lush Kitchen. Something that honestly annoys me about Lush… But that’s for another post. This is a huge bubble bar though, the same size as The Comforter and yet for a pound cheaper! This will last me AGES, probably six baths at least. I love the strong scent that this has of sandalwood as it really clears my head and reminds me of late spring and autumn. Seriously Lush, bring back Tramp shower gel!

Cherry Blossom“Pops your cherry! Pop your bathtime cherry with the sweet scent of Majorcan almonds and decadent pink bubbles.” This is the other Lush product that reminds me of a discontinued one and shares the same scent with the ever so amazing Happy Blooming bath melt. It smells of yummy cherries and almonds and really does leave me feeling comforted and full of happy smiles and awesome! Lush really annoyed me that they took ages to release Happy Blooming after announcing it and then they only had it out for a couple of months before taking it away. I call bullshit that it wasn’t selling well as everyone I know who loves Lush loved this. It has since been released as a shower jelly, but I missed out. So this will have to do! It was the most expensive thing I bought at nearly £6.00 but I hope to get loads of baths out of it for the money…

Big Bang“It started with a bang. Start baths off with a lemon myrtle bang. Lie back and think of the universe.” This is a new scent and one I hope Lush keeps using in other products as it smells so lovely! It’s very citrusy without being too strong as it contains grapefruit and lemon, which somewhat reminds me of Whoosh shower jelly, but honestly as I said, it isn’t that strong. This will be nice to use in the summer evening to keep the day bright and especially nice in winter. It just looks gorgeous too! Reminds me of something that would come out for Christmas.

Finally I have one product left which is a bath bomb… One lonely bath bomb… I won’t lie, I found the majority of bath bombs for the exclusive products very samey. They were either very citrus, floral, or woody smells. When I was walking around giving the majority a sniff I didn’t really feel like there was anything unique there… Some reminded me of previous bath bombs, and some just weren’t to my liking. I feel that a majority of the bath bombs out in the exclusive collection are aimed towards men, or at least people who like manly smells. I love these, don’t get me wrong… But I dunno. I feel very meh about the bath bombs in the collection. I’m sad about that to be honest. I wanted some mind blowing scents! But I guess Lush will do that when it comes to Christmas this year…

Intergalactic“Blast off into funky. This awesome mix will have you hooked on a feeling. Be the guardian of a galaxy as it explodes in your bath.” Something I’m rather excited with about this bath bomb is that it contains popping candy! How awesome is that, huh? This being said, a majority of Lush’s products contain popping candy now… So it’s not really something to get so excited over anymore. Anyway… This reminds me of Double Vitality with it’s peppermint and lemon scents, two things I really like together. I can’t wait to use this, hopefully soon!

So those are all the products I bought from the Oxford Street store! I really enjoyed my experience there and it was really good. The staff were lovely and helpful and the store was laid out perfectly too. I will be writing a post of products I regret not picking up but I know in the future I will get these. I know I will.

I will of course be reviewing each product as and when I use it with more pictures etc.

Lush announced that these won’t stay exclusive products for long, and I hope that’s true… I can’t keep traveling to London to get my fix!

Have you visited the Oxford Street store? If so what did you think, and what did you buy? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

I hope everyone is having a good week so far, and until next time take care.

Wish List Wednesday – Lush Oxford Street!

So in just a couple of days I’ll be on my way and IN London! I’m still super excited and have already been thinking about what I have my eye on to buy from the Lush Oxford Street store. I’ll only be visiting once (MAYBE twice if we can) and as me and my boyfriend will be wanting to walk around other places and do other things I don’t want to be in there forever. Plus if I budget, I can save money as I don’t want to spend a fortune in there.

So I am trying to not spend more than £30, as I’m quite poor and would like to spend my other money at Hyper Japan, as well as other places in London.

I’ve scouted the internet for as much information as I can get about all of the range as although I want to go and discover products, I want to at least go in with some incline of what I want.

So here are ten products I really have my eye on, I know I won’t be buying all of them due to money, but I would like at least half of them. The ones that are in bold are the ones I REALLY want.

  • Big Bang Bubble Bar.

This doesn’t just look pretty (and remind me of something from the Christmas range) but it also sounds really delicious and up my street! It’s supposedly a zesty bubble bar which contains grapefruit, lemon, and tangerine. One blog online stated that it smells of sweet lemons, like sweeties which sounds delicious. The perfect bath product to use when you need a pick you up! If these DO smell like that, then I can see me picking up two of these.

  • Lava Lamp Bath Bomb.

This one has always attracted my attention since pictures of it first started to emerge onto the internet. I’ve always had a fascination with Lava Lamp’s since I was a kid, so I was intrigued too as it why it was called this. Thank God for YouTube! When this is placed into the bath, the purple bath oil parts of the bath bomb react alongside the orange of the bath bomb and create the effect of a lava lamp. Cool huh? BUT onto the scent! I’ve heard that this one is orange, orange, orange! I love the scent of oranges, they’re just so refreshing and wake you up, which would be perfect for summer mornings and evenings. I’m going to see how I feel about this when I get to giving it a sniff.

  • Supertramp Bubble Bar.

I LOVED Tramp Shower Gel so when they discontinued it, I was absolutely gutted. I had only recently gotten into it and then Lush took it away, so I was pretty sad. What makes matters worse is that Lush do bring this out once in a while through the Kitchen, but they sell it at a jokey price. A price I’m NOT willing to pay. However, now they have brought out a bubble bar in the same scent… At a reasonable price… I can deal with that. If it still smells the same as the shower gel did back in the day then I’ll definitely pick up one, MAYBE two of these. However if it doesn’t and disappoints… No buying from me.

  • Lime Pastille Bath Oil.

As the name suggests, this is going to smell of yummy lime pastilles! Well I hope so anyway. The bath oils are a new addition to the Lush family, although I think they’re out to replace the bath melts… Which I kinda hope not. I have a few reasons for this. 1. I think for the size £2.00 is a lot for ONE of these bath oils. 2. I’ve heard that they aren’t as good as they’re sounding. Either way, I will give these the benefit of the doubt and MAYBE give one or two a go. I love the smell of lime, and lime pastilles were always my favourite as a kid, so I can’t resist the temptation of giving this a sniff. Even if I do like it, I’ll only be buying one as like I said, £2.00 is a lot for what you get!

  • Cherry Blossom Reusable Bubble Bar.

This is definitely something at the top of my Lush wish list! I didn’t think much of it when I first heard about it, but when I heard elsewhere that this smells just like Happy Blooming bath melt and shower jelly, I knew I had to have it! Another product from Lush that I adored and then as soon as I finished one and went to buy another, discontinued. I swear Lush doesn’t like the products that I LOVE. So if this is accurate and it smells the same, I can see me buying more than one for sure.

  • Razzle Dazzle Bath Oil.

Out of the three bath oils I’m talking about on this blog post, I like the sound of this one the most. Described as being like raspberry ripple with lime, it sounds so delicious that I may end up eating it! If this one smells really good I could maybe see myself picking up two… But once again due to the price and how these aren’t meant to be that great, I may JUST get one to give myself a little taste.

  • Key Lime Pie Lip Balm.

I don’t need anymore lip balms… BUT I may need this one… I’ve already mentioned how I love lime, and I especially love key lime pie. Damn yummy stuff. I’ve used one of the Lush lip balms before and it was really good. I would use this around the house, and if I pick it up whilst I’m away in London, I’ll probably use it whilst around London too. I would like this, but I will have to see how I feel about it. I have my eye on the Passionfruit Lip Balm too, but I’ll need to see which is better.

  • Pink Flamingo Reusable Bubble Bar.

This just looks so cute, doesn’t it? I think that’s one thing everyone is loving about it right now too. It supposedly smells similar to The Comforter too, and on a sweeter side, which is perfect for me. I won’t want to use this due to how nice it looks though! I would bold this… But I don’t wanna pick up TOO much… If I do pick one up though, I’d only buy one.

  • Orange Blossom Bath Oil.

Apparently this one is quite a strong bath oil, which sounds yummy! Anything blossom related I usually like, and once again with the orange scents, I’m swaying toward it. I doubt I’ll pick this up though, due to the same reasons as the other two bath oils. I’m not as keen on this one as the other two… So I probably won’t even pick this up.

  • Milky Bar Bubble Bar.

This is one of the products that I’ve been rather excited about. It looks so awesome in the shape of a bottle, but it also sounds delicious too! I think it shares the same scent as the soap with the same name, which is like warm milk and Milky Bar’s. Something I really like due to how comforting they smell. If these are as good as they sound, I can see me buying two.

So that is my wish list on the way to being poor! I might not even buy as much as I probably said I would… Lush lasts me ages and to be honest if I really like stuff enough, I’ll probably end up taking a day trip down to London with one of my friends (hi Sophi!) to pick up a few more bits and pieces.

Have you been to the Oxford Street store yet? If so what did you pick up? If you haven’t been yet what are you eying up? Let me know your answers in the comments!

Until next time all, take care and I’ll be posting before I leave for London.
