Pikarar – Review

Guys I’m back after a weekend off and I’m so excited to be sharing with you an independent artist/store that I fell in love with towards the end of 2020!

As regular readers (and followers of my Instagram) will know, I do really love to share independent artists/stores with you all. If anyone needs our support (purchasing wise) right now, it’s these guys! Plus, their designs are so much better. πŸ˜‰

I discovered Pikarar around October/November 2020 when Yapfrog shared one of Pikarar’s designs over on Instagram. It was a shiba version of K.K. Slider and was ADORABLE! I went over to her store to check out her work straight away and made an order. I also pre-ordered some goodies towards the end of November 2020 for the New Year. I’m already planning to buy from Pikarar again, but I wanted to talk to you guys about my experience (spoiler it was amazing!) as well as share the goodies I picked up. πŸ™‚

I first of all want to mention here that the store isn’t open at the moment, but I have reached out to Pikarar to find out roughly when it’ll be open again. At the time of publishing, I haven’t received an answer in regards.

Pikarar is based in America so I already hear a lot of you in the UK worrying you may not be able to order… I don’t think we have to worry! Granted, I avoided the VAT related issues that began at the start of 2021, but I’m still in the frame of mind that Pikarar will offer to ship to the UK, which is amazing!

I want to get this out there first, shipping was NOT cheap, but it was worth every penny for how bloody quickly everything arrived. Both my orders arrived to me a week after they’d been shipping and as I had tracking with both too I was able to track the process. πŸ™‚ I also didn’t get customs charges either, which was AMAZING! We all hate those, don’t we? I paid $20.00 shipping but personally this was worth every penny to me. πŸ™‚

On the website there is a section where you can preview what will be for sale, but these are view only images. There aren’t any prices at the moment I’m afraid. I can’t 100% remember how much I paid for some of pieces I bought either, which is frustrating so sorry I can’t give exact prices on some of the pieces I picked up. I’ll mention what the rough price is on some items and the actual prices on others.

One thing to mention here is any clothing you buy, Pikarar will send you an apparel care guide, aka how to wash them etc. You need to wash the clothing inside out in cold water. I hate hand washing stuff and with my dermatitis on my hand, it isn’t something I can really “afford” to do. Instead I opt for popping the pieces into my washing machine inside out on a lot heat for a short amount of time and I hang it to dry naturally. You can tumble dry low if you want to, but I don’t personally.

I really hope you enjoy this blog post today guys! Alongside talking about Pikarar’s designs and the pieces I picked up, at the end of the post I’ll also share the website again, as well as their social media. πŸ™‚

  • Eevee Crane Sweater – Between $45.00-$55.00.

This was the first piece I popped into my basket! I love Pokemon and I’d seen this item shown over on Pikarar’s Instagram page shortly after discovering them. As many of you know, I love Pokemon and Eevee and the Eeveelutions are one/some of my favourite Pokemon. I couldn’t pass this sweater up in all honesty, the cream brown colour isn’t a colour I have in my wardrobe either so it’s something new!

As you can see from the design, this is a crane machine but instead of plushies it’s full of Eevee’s and they’re all doing different and cute poses. My favourite is the one at the front in my middle who is pushing its whole body against the glass of the crane machine. All the designs are adorable though and whenever I’ve shown me wearing this on camera to friends, as well as photos on Instagram/Twitter people have always commented how cute it is!

I’ll be honest, when it arrived the little white patches where the Eevee’s are smushing their faces, hands and bodies against the glass I thought the little white patches were a flaw in the print. I reached out to Pikarar in regards who was really lovely and understanding of my confusion and explained what it was.

Alongside how cute the design of this sweater is, the sweater itself is so bloody comfortable! It’s super fluffy and soft inside, as well as being really warm. It’s definitely been worn and loved loads since buying it in October/November last year. The sizing is unisex and I went with an L. I can get away with an M no problem but I wanted something really big and baggy which this sizing choice has done perfectly.

  • Shiba Crane Sweater – Between $45.00-$55.00.

The shiba crane sweater is actually my favourite out of all the crane designs I own from Pikarar. Shiba’s are adorable and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like the breed. After returning from Japan I’ve kind of fallen in love with the dog breed more and more often now than before if I see a design of the breed I like, I may go for it. This shiba crane sweater included.

It’s the same sort of design idea as the Eevee crane sweater but with shiba dogs on it instead. I actually prefer the shiba design due to some of the poses the dogs are in. They’re very similar to the Eevee’s but there are some minor differences and such. My favourite shiba dog is squished by the drop/win section of the crane game. It’s little face is squashed up against the glass and it looks a little fed up.

I went for this gorgeous baby pink colour for my sweater. Pink isn’t a colour that you’ll see often in my wardrobe, so it’s nice to have some variety. I wear this sweater quite a lot and it’s fast become one I reach into my wardrobe for when I want to wear something warm and comforting.

When I recently went for an eye test at my opticians one of the women who worked there commented how cute this design was and asked me where it was from. I love clothing that can become a conversation starter, especially if people know of the artist whose pieces your wearing, or if they love that animal, character, game, etc.

Like the Eevee crane sweater, the sweater itself is so bloody comfortable! It’s super fluffy and soft inside, as well as being really warm. It’s definitely been worn and loved loads since buying it in October/November last year. The sizing is unisex and I went with an L. I can get away with an M no problem but I wanted something really big and baggy which this sizing choice has done perfectly.

  • Shiba Samurai Sticker – Between $2.00-$5.00.

I actually bought this sticker for my boyfriend as since he bought himself a laptop in the summer last year, he’s started to pop stickers on it for fun. I saw this shiba samurai sticker and thought he would love it. I haven’t allowed him to stick it on his laptop yet as I wanted to show it off to you guys first! πŸ™‚

As you can see it’s a black and white sticker of a shiba holding two katana style swords and looking a mixture of cute, serious, and ready to fight! I knew my boyfriend would love something like this. There was also a sweater with the same design on that I contemplated buying him for Christmas, which I didn’t in the end. I’d still like to pick this up for him in the future, or maybe even for myself as it’s such a cool design!

The quality of the sticker is really good too. It has a matte texture and it feels lovely and thick, so you know it’s going to last a long time on whatever you decide to stick it against!

It’s nothing to do with the design but I wanted to mention here that whenever you buy a sticker Pikarar pops it in a cute little envelope, alongside with a thank you care and your apparel care instructions, if you’ve bought any.

  • Shiba Good Girls Hoodie – $55.00.

This was one of my pre-order items and one of the items I’d wanted to snag the first time I made an order with Pikarar. I missed out, but I was happy to wait for my pre-order. I went for the mustard yellow/gold colour hoodie and the “Good Girls” slogan on the back and arm of the hoodie. You could also choose black and the “Good Boys” slogan. I don’t have a mustard yellow/gold hoodie and whilst I was anxious to wear this bright a colour, I knew I’d be able to pull it off. Since it arrived last month I’ve worn it quite a few times now. It’s been my go to hoodie for when I want to look and feel cute, but I don’t want to be too warm.

There is a shiba design on the back where it’s wearing a black hoodie and underneath it says, “Good Girls” alongside with “Pikarar”. The shiba looks so cute and happy as it’s smiling and it sort of reminds me of the shiba cafe we visited in Harajuku, Japan last year. The hiragana on the arm reads something along the lines of “good”. I did work out what it said the first couple of times I wore it, but I’ve since forgotten. 😦

This hoodie isn’t as thick as I thought it was going to be, which I first thought was going to be a problem. Thankfully this isn’t the case and it’s actually been a great hoodie to throw on when I want to be warm, but not super toasty. It’ll be a great hoodie to wear for spring, cooler days in summery and autumn and winter days when I want to wear a long sleeved shirt underneath. This hoodie is also a little see through… Which is annoying from someone who wears a lot of dark t-shirts… This being said it could be worse. I picked this up in a size L, as like the unisex sizing for the sweatshirts this is nice and baggy. πŸ™‚

I actually have a defect on the hoodie from where Pikarar has printed the design on the sleeve. There’s a green/black mark near the hiragana which I reported to Pikarar who has been kind enough to offer to send me from free stickers and a discount code when the store opens. At first the offer was for me to send the hoodie back to her and she would send a replacement. That sounded like it was going to cost Pikarar a lot of money, so I suggested a discount instead to make things easier and less faff.

  • Pikachu Crane T-Shirt – $25.00.

The final piece I bought and own by Pikarar (so far anyway…) is the Pikachu crane t-shirt. I decided that I needed the other Pokemon crane design in my collection, but I wasn’t quite sure I wanted another sweater. A part of me regrets not getting the sweater, but at the same time I don’t. It’ll be good to have a t-shirt to wear in the warmer summer months.

This t-shirt is also the same colour as the shiba good girls hoodie, so that mustard yellow/gold colour. I wasn’t feel as anxious about wearing such a bright colour with a t-shirt as it can always be styled with a darker pair of jeans or a skirt. This being said I actually really love the colour and both pieces have received lots of compliments during work calls!

The Pikachu design on the t-shirt is really cute and is very similar to the Eevee and shiba designs. Unlike the other designs, I can’t pick one Pikachu that I love and adore more than the others. The Pikachu’s in this design are all so sweet and adorable to look at! The one in the claw about to get won is pretty adorable, but so is the cutie at the front pressed up against the glass. I’ve really loved wearing this design. I picked this up in a size L, as again like both the sweatshirts and hoodie this is a unisex size. I could have gotten away with an M in this, but glad I got the L for that slouchy, comfy fit.

It’s adorable and out of the three this one reminds me of my childhood the most. Hot summer days during the school holidays and miserable rainy weekend days me and my dad would venture to a local town in the countryside where there are loads of arcade games to play! We’d pay the claw games and he’d win me teddy bears. One year he won me a fake TY bear that looked like Harry Potter. I cherished it for years and it’s still in my parents house somewhere. I think that’s the last time he won me anything on the claw games before they got “rigged”. I have to say, when the world starts to go back to normal, I’d love to go there with my dad for a day out together. It would be my treat and we could play arcade games, grab fish and chips and just have a fun day together. πŸ™‚

I would love some other things in this design, including a mouse mat if that’s something Pikarar would look into doing in the future.

That’s everything I picked up from Pikarar though! I’m really excited for when she opens her store again to potentially grab a few more pieces and maybe even snag some goodies for my boyfriend for his birthday in April!

Overall I’m so happy with everything I’ve bought from Pikarar so far! Her designs are so unique and adorable. I just want to snuggle and squish all the cute animals she draws. I’m really excited to see what she comes out with next. I know she recently announced she’s creating a sticker Patreon soon so if you’re interested make sure to follow her on Instagram.

The same goes for when Pikarar announces when she will be opening her store. Following her on Instagram for updates in regards is the best place to be. πŸ™‚

I’m going to pop Pikarar’s links down below for you, including their store as well as social media.

Redbubble Sweatshirts and Stickers Haul

If there is one thing I have been doing during lock down, it’s shopping… Shop, shop, shop! I honestly don’t know how I have been able to save money up! In all fairness, I don’t like to think I’ve spent a stupid amount of money, but I have been buying things I want and to be honest I have zero regrets.

As I’m not going out due to lock down and only spending a few nights a week talking to friends online, I’ve been on my laptop most of the time. During these times I’m either doing blog work, watching things on YouTube, browsing social media or buying things.

Not only have I browsed wish lists I have saved on my browser, but also wish lists I have on Etsy, eBay, EMP and finally Redbubble, the store I will be talking about today!

I wanted to share with you the goodies I recently bought from Redbubble as I’m so damn happy with everything I bought for various reasons, as well as sharing with you all the amazing customer service I experienced too.

I hope you enjoy this weeks blog post, it’s been a while since I shared a haul with you all (I’m a poet)! πŸ˜€

I made three orders with Redbubble, which sounds like a lot but this isn’t the case… I didn’t go shopping mad, I promise! Something happened to the original order I made and I complained to customer service about it.

I ordered the first sweatshirt I am going to talk about, alongside with some stickers. I ordered a men’s size L for the sweatshirt as I planned to wear it really baggy. I own a sweatshirt by One In Hundred that’s a men’s size L and it fits really comfortably. I wanted that feeling again.

The sweatshirt arrived and it looked amazing! The design was just as cute in reality as it was on the images on the website, however the size didn’t look right. I checked the tag which read M. In my head I began to worry it might not fit me, which wasn’t the case at all. If anything the M was a nice size, with the amount of baggy I had expected from the L. Even though I was happy with the M, I wasn’t happy with the fact I was sent the incorrect size.

What if this had been a gift for someone? What if it didn’t fit me? There are more what ifs here too, but those were the two that went through my mind.

I reached out to Redbubble through Twitter and an emailing service on their website to make a complaint/raise my concerns. I have to say, it is not easy to get in touch with Redbubble via email. You have to search for a certain topic and in the end I went for the “Have a query before you order?” option so I could free type an email instead of picking from options.

I always usually go to Twitter first as it’s easy to access and companies often reply quicker via social media. I didn’t expect to hear back from someone via Twitter and email. They offered me not one but two full store vouchers (which I chose as I was offered a full refund too) as an apology for what happened with the sizing. I was pleasantly surprised at this, as I didn’t expect anything considering the size I was sent fit me. Redbubble dealt with my complaint quickly and were really lovely about it.

I’ve been shopping with Redbubble for almost 10 years now and never had a problem until now, so I wasn’t really mad about it. Their customer service is amazing and I honestly cannot recommend Redbubble enough. I love them for the fact you are supporting artists who want to get their designs out there on/as clothing, stickers, phone cases, wall art, home & living pieces, accessories, stationary, gifts and more. It’s one of my favourite places to shop for certain pieces of my favourite things and I cannot recommend them enough.

With the refunds I received I bought myself two more sweatshirts, as well as sticker for me and some stickers for Dane (belated birthday present). I’m not showing the stickers I bought Dane though.

Now, onto the goodies I bought! I’ll show the sweatshirts first and then the stickers.

The first thing I want to say about the sweatshirts is the ones I bought are men’s/unisex sizing and are really comfortable to wear. They’re a little oversized for me and inside they’re all really soft, which is something I always check for when I buy sweatshirts. If they aren’t soft inside, it will take something special for me to buy. I’m thankful these are soft and fluffy inside. They’re perfect for all year around when the weather isn’t very warm and during the wet weather in the UK at the moment they have been perfect!

  • AC:NL- Goldie and Cherry Pullover Sweatshirt – Designed by EpikBecky (link)

This is the first sweatshirt I bought and the one I had “issues” with. The Animal Crossing design on this is gorgeous and I have no regrets ordering it. My favourite type of villages are dogs and I currently have a grand total of four on my island, including Cookie, Bones, Lucky and Goldie. My boyfriend Dane has Cherry on his island. I love that two of our dog villagers are in this design and it makes me feel like they both went to one of our islands to visit one another and have fun together! I love Animal Crossing so much and I need more merchandise from the game in my life. I especially love the oatmeal colour of the sweatshirt as I find the neutral colour works well with the bright colours of both Goldie and Cherry. EpikBecky who designed this has so many more lovely Animal Crossing designs on her Redbubble store, including Molly the duck, Isabelle, K.K. Slider, Tom Nook, Flurry the hamster, Mable and Sable and Rosie the cat. They also have an Ice Bear design from We Bear Bears that I love.

  • Bee and Puppycat Pullover Sweatshirt – Designed by Kaitlynn Peavler (link)

This is actually one of the last designs I found, but one both Dane and my friends really loved when I showed them. I decided to pick it up with the first refund I received from Redbubble and I have no regrets. I went for the cobalt blue sweatshirt with this gorgeous Bee and Puppycat print. The design is inspired by one of the first scenes of episode one (not the pilot) where Bee reaches for Puppycat. It’s a gorgeous design and it’s the first out of the three sweatshirts I bought I wore. I wore it for mine and Dane’s anniversary with some black mom jeans. The cobalt blue compliments the colour scheme of the design. I love this so much and I already know I’ll be asked who the characters are when lock down is over.

  • Questions worth asking Pullover Sweatshirt – Designed by Destiny Gaubert (link)

This is one of the first Bee and Puppycat designs I found and I fell in love with the design straight away. Without revealing too many spoilers, this is from the end of season 1 of the show where Puppycat is asking Bee questions to get to know her better. The questions including, “What’s your favourite colour?”, “What’s your favourite food?” and “What’s your favourite animal?”. It’s a really lovely end to the show considering what happens in the last episode. The design again shows the start of the first episode (not the pilot) where Bee is reaching out for Puppycat. I love how it combines the start and end of season 1. I got this on a dark blue/navy sweatshirt and again, it works really well with the colours of the design. I can’t wait to wear this one, as I know it will get a lot of questions. This was the sweatshirt I picked up with the second refund I was given by Redbubble.

  • Dom Animal Crossing Shy Sticker – Designed by rottnmaggtz (link)

I have fallen in love with Dom in Animal Crossing. He’s a new sheep to join the game and he’s absolutely adorable. One of my friends has him on her island and I’m semi jealous… But at least I get to see him when I visit! So I decided to have a look for a Dom sticker whilst browsing through Redbubble when I made my original order. This was my favourite out of all the ones I found so I decided to order it. It’s a decent sized sticker to be honest and has a matte finish to it. I love the design as Dom is always seem as the bashful, adorable sheep with the rainbow tie dye t-shirt (it’s a scarf on the sticker). It’s just so precious and perfect.

  • Morgana Chilling Sticker – Designed by tetrablock (link)

This was another sticker I ordered with the first order I made with Redbubble. Do I really need to explain why I bought a Persona 5 sticker? πŸ˜› As a regular reader you will know how much of a fan I am of the game, as well as my love for Joker, Skull/Ryuji and Morgana, who are my favourites. I bought this sticker to pop onto my iPad case but I actually don’t have room for it, which is a shame. It’s tempted me to stick it on my laptop to jazz it up a bit, but I won’t be doing that as I like my laptop to look “professional”, if that makes sense? This stickers design is so cute though!

  • ACNL K.K. Slider Sticker – Designed by ncdoggGraphics (link)

I have had my eye on this sticker for almost a year now, (mentioned here and here) so I’m glad to finally have it! I ordered it when I made my first refunded order, alongside with some stickers I ordered for Dane as a belated birthday gift. This sticker is so adorable of K.K. Slider, especially with him saying, “Yo.”! This was another sticker I thought about sticking onto my laptop, but again, I want to keep it plain and “boring.” I would like this design on a t-shirt eventually, maybe even a notebook.

So, that is everything I bought from Redbubble recently! I bought so much stuff from there and don’t intend to buy anything else for a while now… Maybe later on in the year for clothing. It’s definitely an amazing place to go to buy things from games, anime, TV series, films and more that you love and are interested in, but that doesn’t have much merchandise around. A great example there is Bee and Puppycat.

Not only did I want to share you all the amazing pieces I picked up, but also what an amazing store Redbubble are, as well as how great their customer service is too. πŸ™‚

Have you ever shopped with Redbubble before? If so how was your experience? What do you think of the sweatshirts and stickers I picked up? Finally, were you aware of Bee and Puppycat before this post?

Make sure to let me know answers to my questions and more in the comments!

Until next time, take care and stay safe all!

Wish List Friday – Killstar

Now I know I usually post my wish lists on a Wednesday and at the start of each month, but I decided to change it up for a change. Change is good. πŸ˜›

I was kind of stumped for what I wanted to write for today and was thinking over and over about what I wanted to get out there and then I thought, “Hey! Killstar have brought out loads of amazing stuff. I wonder if my readers would like to see what I want to buy?” and here we are. πŸ˜›

The last time I made an order with Killstar I ended up sending everything back because all the stuff I ordered was just shit. I mentioned on my March wish list here about one of the dresses I was after. For mine and Dane’s anniversary I decided to order the dress so I could wear it out for a meal and you know what? I was so disappointed. The sizing was awful, it was far too short and just shocking. I sent it back and was more annoyed that I had to pay nearly Β£5 to send the fucking thing back! I also ordered a belt, which was one size but that one size felt like a size 1!

I was gutted to say the least and have decided moving forward that I will either only order when there are sales or free shipping/returns from Killstar themselves, or order from someone else who always offers free shipping AND returns… Aka Kate’s Clothing.

I would like to grab some nice dresses to wear for my holiday to Japan, so I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on the gorgeous pieces I’ll be showing off on my post today!

I hope you like everything I mention on this list, it will mostly be dresses to be honest with you, but I don’t have a problem with that! πŸ˜›

All images taken from the Killstar website.

  • Moonscape Skater Dress (link)

I love a good skater dress and this one is simplistic and something I could wear for both personal, as well as at work. It’s a cute peter pan style with the white collar and has a gorgeous stars, moons and star signs pattern all around the bottom of the dress. This is a decent price too for Killstar. It’s a dress I would definitely love to rock with loafers for work and my Dr Martens boots for personal.

  • Cathedral Skater Dress (link)

This dress is gorgeous and shouts Wednesday Addams vibes and more! I still want the Wednesday dress from Killstar, but the only problem with that is I’m not sure if it would suit me. However, I feel like the Cathedral dress would definitely be for me considering it’s a skater dress and these flatter me the most. The only problem I’m having with this dress is it looks really short on the model, as well as people who I’ve seen buy and try it on on YouTube.

  • Tartan Darklands Doll Dress (link)

I love a good bit of tartan in my life and I wear it weekly through my tartan trousers. This is a “doll dress” so whilst it looks similar to the skater dress style, I think it’s a bit different all the same. As of yet I’ve not tried one of Killstar’s doll dress styles so I’m worried how this would end up looking on me. Either way though this is cute and to jazz it up a bit I’d probably wear it with fishnet tights and loafer shoes! This would definitely look cute with my rainbow cardigan. πŸ˜› I especially love the little moon on the left hand side. (FYI I actually ordered this dress before posting this up on my blog :P)

  • Darklands Doll Dress (link)

This is exactly the same as the tartan variant, but this is obviously black! The black dress has a PVC collar, whilst that tartan has a more fake leather collar. I have a dress similar to this one by Killstar already (Coven Cutie) so I feel like this would be a nicer variant that I could wear for work. The Coven Cutie dress has a zip on the chest with a crescent moon attached to the zip, which I LOVE but this dress isn’t appropriate for work sadly. I feel like this one would be. πŸ™‚

  • Amaya Skater Dress (link)

I mentioned this dress on my wish list at the start of the month and I STILL want it so badly! I’m not going to go over old ground, so I’m just going to copy and paste what I said on my August wish list… I love a good skater dress, especially one from Killstar. This is from one of their new collections, which represents Japanese school style fashions and manga/anime designs too. This is something I’d love to be able to wear for work but due to the style of the dress (mostly the back with the hanging part) I doubt that would be doable… At least not during the warmer months when I don’t need to wear a cardigan, jumper or my work fleece. I’ll be keeping my eyes on it though, this is something I’ll definitely be picking up in the future.

  • Moonscape Long Sleeve Top (link)

The final item on this list is actually a top! I love everything about this top, the style, the material, the white collar on the neck and the wrists and even the moon design on the left hand side. It looks really comfortable too and this is something I would probably wear for work more than anything. I don’t think it’s something I would really wear for personal… I don’t think I have anything it would look good with. 😦

So that’s all the items I’m lusting after at the moment from Killstar. I would love to gradually pick up all of these pieces to add to my wardrobe, especially for work. I really do love wearing dresses for work as they’re comfortable and make me feel pretty!

https://prz.io/1kdxeEt0

If you like the look of anything from the Killstar website then make sure to use my 5% code next time you shop! I’ve popped the code above in bold.

Do you like Killstar as a brand? If so do you own or have anything on your wish lists from them? Let me know all in the comments!

Anyhoo I hope you’re all having a lovely Friday afternoon. I honestly cannot wait for bank holiday to start. I plan to do sweet FA. πŸ˜›

Until next time, take care all!

June Wish List ’19

It’s June! The month of lots of spending due to mine and Dane’s anniversaries! However whilst this year won’t be completely different, it will be all the same. We won’t be spending as much money on one another as we usually do due to the fact we have booked Japan so we’re saving up to spend monies over there!

This means I would like to go on some spending bans as I would much prefer to have monies for when I go to Japan so I don’t feel like I can’t enjoy myself, you know?

Granted spending ban or not, I will always post my monthly wish list posts, as I love doing them so much! I can imagine this month being really hard to do as I can’t think of anything I actually want apart from maybe the odd item or two… We shall see anyway! πŸ˜›

  • Converse x Feng Chen Wang ERX 260 Mid (link)

I really want these high top trainers… Like really badly want them! I think if it wasn’t for booking Japan last week, I’d have probably ordered these by now. I would especially love to have these for Japan though as they look amazing! Maybe I’ll treat myself to them, or even hint to Dane for them as a partial anniversary present… πŸ˜› I’m going to Manchester next week so I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for any stores that MIGHT be selling there – although they do just look to be an online exclusive with Converse…

  • Persona Q2 on Nintendo 3DS (link)

I am beyond excited for this game to come out! Not going to lie, I haven’t actually played Persona Q, the first in this game series. I don’t know if I really need to play that one to enable me to play Q2 but either way I don’t care. The Persona 5 gang are in this game and that in itself is enough for me. From what I’ve seen and read, this is a dungeon crawler based game where you can pick a team from any of the Persona games (3, 4 or 5) and play the game pretty much. This comes out today – which I’m really excited for!

  • Renegade Bubble Tea Board Game (link)

This was a game I discovered at UK Games Expo last weekend and one that I regret not picking up in all fairness with you. I regret not buying this so badly and even regret not sitting down to play the game. We wanted to make sure we looked everywhere before buying things, hence why I didn’t end up getting it in the end. I was shown how it played however and it looks like a great little party game for all ages! As a bubble tea fan this is such a novelty game too and I just feel like it would be a cute game to own. As soon as I can, I’ll be picking up this game to add to mine and Dane’s growing collection.

  • Persona 5 Morgana Pop! Vinyl Figure (link)

I know I’ve mentioned this Pop on my blog before within my monthly wish list, but I’m mentioning it again this month because it’s ACTUALLY meant to be coming out this month! I’ll be shocked if it actually does and will hold my breath until that day comes. I really want this figure though. It’s adorable and I know it’ll be gorgeous to have on my fireplace in the living room, or maybe even my manga bookshelf.

  • Ines Dreamer Shop D20 Pink Choker Necklace (link)

I’ve been after a new choker for a while now, as whilst I do love wearing my fox necklace that my friend Sophie bought me I do like something a little geeky instead sometimes. I love the 90’s tattoo chokers and have done since they came out back in the day. Since getting into D&D I’ve been after a choker style necklace with a D20 on it. I haven’t been able to find one for a while, but FINALLY I found one on Etsy recently and after I’ve written this post, I plan to order it. πŸ˜› There’s one left so why not!

  • Illustrator Jake Eeveelutions Sweater from Kickstarter (link)

This item isn’t actually out to buy and was part of a Kickstarter recently held by Illustrator Jake, who I’ve mentioned on my blog before in a review of their Retsuko pin badge (which I’ll link here). I of course backed it and opted for the Eeveelutions sweater design. I’m actually really excited for the design to come out and be posted to me, especially if it’s this month! Sweater weather in the summer isn’t exactly a done thing here in the UK, but it bloody can be if it’s cool enough. πŸ˜›

So those are my wish list items for this month! In all honesty I spent quite a bit of money at the UK Games Expo over the weekend so I doubt very much I’ll buy much from this list this month.

UPDATE – Also make sure to use my discount code below onΒ Illustrator Jake’s storeΒ to snag yourself a nice 10% discount! πŸ˜€

THEREMIGHTBECOFFEE10

In all honesty I do want to do my spending ban. Every time I go to buy an item I know I could get when in Japan, I’m going to just leave it etc.

What items do you guys have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time all, take care and I hope you’ve had a lovely week so far. πŸ™‚

Wish List Wednesday – Killstar

If there is one brand I have really come to love over the past couple of months, it’s definitely Killstar! I’ve loved Killstar for almost 3 years in all fairness but I feel like only of late have I made more purchases with them. Throughout 2019 I’d love to buy even more pieces from them as I love wearing the two dresses I picked up in the sales (which you can see here) for both work, as well as in my own time after work and for my weekends off. πŸ˜€

For now though I’m going to show you guys what items Id love to pick up from Killstar soon! πŸ˜€ There will be a mixture of items from the website, obviously including clothing as well as footwear and home.

  • Wednesday Addams Dress – (link)

This is a dress I’ve wanted for years and STILL I haven’t bought it yet, which sucks. 😦 I actually bought it second hand off of someone via Depop, but I ended up being scammed. Meh. So I am still on the hunt for this dress! When my size is back in stock on the store I may just take the plunge and order it. I’m sick of not having it now and would love to wear it for work, as well as meals out with Dane and friends! Can never say no to looking like Wednesdays Addams. πŸ˜›

  • Hellda Knit Dress – (link)

This is a dress I wanted for a while like the Wednesday Addams dress, but the more I saw it in my wish list on the website, the less I wanted it. I thought it wouldn’t suit me, or that I already had something like it, which I doubt would be the case. So when I saw the gorgeous TheFodFairy over on YouTube showing it off on one of her latest videos, I KNEW I had to re add it to my wish list! I really want it for work in the colder weather! I do have a knitted dress just like this one, but I’ve owned it for over 5 years now so I need a much needed replacement.

  • Luna High Tops – (link)

If there is one thing I DON’T NEED it’s shoes. I would love a new pair of high tops as my white DC ones have seen better days and I’ve owned them for about 10 years now. How they’re still in one piece I don’t know! I’m not quite sure what it is I love about these high tops, other than everything! I feel like they’re an awesome cross between Vans and Dr Martens, which are two of my favourite brands. I’d love some of these to wear with dresses as well as skinny fit black jeans.

  • Starmap Comforter Set – (link)

I haven’t long ago discovered that this bed set exists and now I have, I REALLY want it! I have seen the price though and it hurts my soul just a little. πŸ˜› It’s definitely a set I’m going to keep my eye on though as I really love the look of it. It’s called a comforter set because it’s really soft and fluffy, which would make it perfect for during the cold winter months! I wish it wasn’t like this though all the same, as I’d want to use this bedding all year around, of course this wouldn’t be doable during the warm summer months. As I mentioned, this isn’t cheap and although I love Killstar, Β£90 for some bedding is rather daft…

  • Wonka Knit Sweater – (link)

Finally we have another piece of clothing and alas the last thing on this wish list! The first item I bought from Killstar was a striped jumper, which I still own and wear to this day! It’s actually the jumper I wore in the photos that TV Trev took of me (which you can see in this post). It’s a nice oversized jumper that can be worn on its own with thick leggings or some jeans. I love to wear them when relaxing with friends as well as my weekends off work. They have quite a few different colour schemes for this jumper, but I rather love the look of the purple one to be fair! I’d love to get all the different colour versions though. πŸ˜›

If there is ever a time where you finally decide to take the plunge and make a first order with Killstar, then feel free to use my unique code and save yourself 5% off your first order! πŸ˜€

What do you think of the brand Killstar and the items I’ve popped onto my wish list this evening? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

I do apologise if this is a rather short post, but I wanted to get a wish list Wednesday post up today and the first brand that came to mind to feature on here today were Killstar.

I know my blog has been a bit on the bland side lately, I’ll be talking about this on Saturday. πŸ™‚

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re having a lovely week so far!

May 2018 Collective Haul!

I don’t know how managed to collect so much stuff over the course of a month but I have! I haven’t written a haul post in forever so I thought it would be nice to do one today. I just feel like I’m accumulated loads of goodies, some of them are gifts as well which I’ll mention when I get to them. I thought it might be a good idea to write about all the shit (hahaha :P) I’ve purchased recently. I love reading haul posts, especially collectives ones so I thought you guys might have liked to read this too! πŸ˜€

  • Barbie x Missguided American Flag Joggers.

Back in May Dane dug out all the McDonald’s Monopoly vouchers he’d gained and he had LOADS of Missguided ones at 30% off. I decided to take the plunge and have a look on the website for what I could treat myself to. Now, Missguided really isn’t my sort of style. I looked for ages for a dress (or two) that I could pick up for work but they’re all going out bodycon style and urgh… I’m too fat and old for that shit now. πŸ˜› I went for a look at the Barbie pieces to see what they might have cute over there and I found these joggers. On my weekends I’m really becoming a joggers/leggings and a geeky top sort of gal when it comes to popping out for errands. I picked these up in a size bigger than I am as I wanted them baggy… I should have ordered my size in all honesty. These are HUGE but at the same time it means they’re really comfortable.

  • Primark Spider-Man T-Shirt.

This t-shirt was bought on a whim after venturing into my nearest Primark store. I’m sucker for a new t-shirt and I especially am when it comes down to anything geek and nerd related! I picked up this t-shirt because of how simplistic and yet adorable it is! I don’t like that the patch is on the side that I wear my braid on, as it means my hair gets caught on it sometimes. I’ll live though! This was only Β£8.00, which I find a bargain, even for Primark!

  • Black Milk Clothing Midnight Owl Skater Dress.

This was a purchase that I am so happy I made! I love Black Milk Clothing and I especially love their skater dresses. They always make me feel so pretty no matter what and I always get complimented on them. I picked this one up on a whim from eBay, in a size bigger than I usually get, which actually fits really nicely! It’s safe to say, it’s going to now be my go to dress for work, in general and even for special occasions. This only cost me Β£25, which included P&P. To buy from Black Milk Clothing it would have cost me $85.00 AUS, which converts to Β£48.42, that wouldn’t even include how much I’d have to pay to ship it to the country and possible charges on top of that as well. URGH, buying through eBay really is the best way! I plan to wear this to a friends wedding in July and I wore it for mine and Dane’s anniversary too. I’m after some more Black Milk Clothing skater dresses now, I honestly can’t get enough of them. I’m scouring eBay daily now for whenever new items are added. I have my eye on a few, but we’ll see what happens.

  • ASOS Lady & The Tramp Sweater.

This was a random purchase on Depop that I made recently, which was also my first Depop purchase! I remember when the matching sweater and joggers of this came out on ASOS 4 years ago and being a Lady & The Tramp fan, I picked up the joggers (which I still own and wear!). I went to order the sweater a week later, but it was sold out. Zoella had worn this set and everyone went mad for it, yuck (I’m not a Zoella fan…). ANYWAY after years of finding this sweater online and it selling out, I finally took the plunge and bought it! It only cost me Β£13 with P&P which I was so chuffed about! The original cost of this was Β£30 so I was right to wait 4 years for it… I guess. πŸ˜› It’s weird that I found my wish list post back from July 2014 where I was talking about how I wanted this sweater! I feel so fucking old right now.

  • Snot Girl Volume 2.

I mentioned this comic book series recently on both my May favourites as well as on my June wish list. I remember picking up this comic book a year ago after a YouTuber raving about it. I didn’t realise the story line was going to go the way it has and due to that I love it so much and if I felt that way after reading volume 1 then oh my fucking God this volume is crazy! I won’t say anything in case I give anything away, but this comic book has gone from what I thought was going to just be about a blogger and her drama, but it’s fast turned into some sort of horror/thriller style story based around a blogger. It is so damn good and I would love to see this go into a TV series of a film in the future like how Scott Pilgrim did.

  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Volume 6.

I feel like I’ve spoken WAY TOO MUCH about this series lately and it’s kind of making me sick now to keep talking about it. πŸ˜› This is a manga series I love and adore and have bought as soon as it’s come out so far for all 6 volumes. I pre ordered this just before it came out and read it as soon as I got it. This is a series I really love and I especially love how now I’m further than the anime series is. I’ve not quite finished reading it yet, but I will do VERY soon. πŸ˜›

  • Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Life Volume 2.

Another manga I have spoken WAY TOO MUCH ABOUT recently, but can you blame me? It’s amazing and adorable! Also at the same time it’s very strange how the story of Kanna and her friend Saikawa is and this shows more throughout this series. If you love Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid the anime version then you NEED to read this manga series at least! I know so many people who love Kanna, and I can’t blame them really. She’s so adorable and innocent.

These items below are now all gift related!

I recently had some issues with Lush Santa’s Christmas shower cream. It’s a bright red colour and obviously due to what they’ve added to the product to make it this colour, it’s stained various parts of my bath, as well as my shower puff and even my armpits (only for the day though). So I wrote to them on Twitter to complain. They were really helpful and offered to give me my money back, but that meant sending the product back and 1. I couldn’t be arsed to do that and 2. Why the fuck should I have to send it back?! What are they going to do with it that I can’t do myself? AKA throw it away.

They were lovely enough to also offer to sent me some goodies as a sorry, which I opted for. They asked me to list them some products I either love or would like to try. They were nice enough to send me one of my favourite products, as well as new one I’ve been wanting to try!

I just want to quickly add here that I know a lot of shit has been going on and happening around Lush lately due to their recent and disgraceful campaign. I don’t agree with it whatsoever. I also want to add I haven’t bought from Lush since I picked up the Santa’s Christmas shower creams just after Boxing Day. I need to really address my thoughts and feelings on Lush lately, but we will save that for another post!

  • Β Lush Supertramp Bubble Bar.

This is the product I mentioned being one of my favourites. I remember back in 2015 when me and Dane went to London and it was the first time I’d been to the Oxford Street Lush! This was an exclusive to the store at the time and as I loved Tramp shower gel back in the day, I knew I had to give the bubble bar a go too! The bubble bar to me is better as it isn’t as strong and it’s one I love to use when I’m feeling under the weather with hayfever or a cold. It really clears my head. I’m so happy Lush sent me this and even happier that if and when I need to buy another bar of it, I now can on their website.

  • Lush Oaty Creamy Dreamy Oat Milk Shower Cream.

This was the product I wanted to try as I haven’t really heard much about it, but when seeing how it’s made in the past it looks really moisturising! It smells amazing to be honest and really surprised me. I was expecting creamy oat and vanilla scents, but this smells heavily of lavender, which is in fact one of the ingredients. If you love lavender, you’ll love this! It’s not a thick shower cream like Santa’s Christmas and you only need a little of this for it to go a long way. This is definitely a shower cream you’d ideally want to use before bed, but I love using it in the morning on my days off as the scent does perk me up. I’ll probably buy a big bottle of this for my mom at Christmas as she loves her lavender scents.

This wasn’t a gift from Lush but actually from my manager at work! It’s belated birthday present and I am oh so grateful for it! She gave it me just before I broke up for my week off work and I used it the next morning before going to work.

  • Lush Plum Rain Shower Gel.

This is a shower gel from Lush I’ve wanted to try since it came out, but I just never have. When my manager gave it to me I was so happy and excited! So much so I opened it up for a sniff at my desk. πŸ˜› She had heard of me saying how much I love Snow Fairy and popped into the store to try and get one, but alas being a Christmas product they didn’t have it in stock. I can only assume that the staff recommended Plum Rain to her and if so, they did a good job! Then again, what else could they really recommend?! Their shower gel selection is so shit these days! I mean come on Lush, why did you discontinue The Comforter?! Surely it wasn’t doing poor in sales… I find it hard to believe myself… ANYWAY this has a gorgeous fresh scent and it actually reminds me of Christmas due to The Body Shop’s old sugar plum shower gel! This doesn’t smell as sweet as theirs though. Either way I love using this in the mornings as the scent really does wake you up!

So that was my collective haul! I know it doesn’t seem/look like a lot but bloody hell I’ve been spend happy lately! I was also going to mention mine and Dane’s anniversary presents but I’ll save that for a separate post.

I was also going to mention some of the pin badges I’ve bought from Ohayou! Clothing through their Kickstarter and Patreon but I’m going to save those for a separate post as well as I think they deserve some love all on their own! πŸ˜€ Not only will I be talking about pin badges but I intend to talk about all of their items I own so far, as well as items I’d like to own! Stay tuned for that, it’s been a post I’ve been meaning to write for the longest time!

What have you guys been buying the past month or so? Make sure to let me know down in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend.

October Wish List

I know I say this every month, but I just can’t believe how quickly this year has flown. It’s now October and a whole month since I finished university. My favourite month has passed, and it’s now only a couple of months until Christmas and New Year… And also until I turn 26. Oh woe!

I really need to watch my money this month, but at the same time October is appearing to be the month where everything I want to buy is coming out, so we shall see how that goes… But for now, here are the items I am lusting after this month!

  • Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Masochist.

I have been lusting after one of Jeffree Star’s liquid lipsticks ever since they came out, but I have never splashed out and made a purchase because I’ve never really settled on one shade that I wanted. However now Jeffree has brought out the shade masochist I know I want this in my life. It’s a gorgeous raspberry pink shade, which is totally me and one I would rock throughout autumn and winter, maybe even spring and summer evenings. This has been available to buy since the end of September, but I’m going to wait for Cocktail Cosmetics to bring this out for sale on their website. It just works out cheaper all round. I know my mom really wants to try this shade too, so we’ll both be giving it a go when I buy it.

  • Disney Store Star Wars Sweatshirt.

I saw this recently on the Disney Store website and I really liked it, but soon forgot about it. Recently browsing around the website for some cute things I stumbled upon it again and it’s something I would love to pick up when the weather gets really chilly and I just want something to snuggle into whilst lounging around the house. I’m not the biggest Star wars fan in the world, but since a young age I was brought up to love Star Wars and I still do to this day.

  • Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer.

This is now officially out, and MINE! It came out yesterday and I made sure to pre-order it so that I would have it on my doorstep for when I got home from work. I remember this being announced at E3 and I was so excited for a new Pokemon game to be announced, but it wasn’t. This however made up for it. I love the Animal Crossing games and own them all apart from the wii version. I wanted to pick up the limited edition 3DS XL to go alongside this game but alas, I’m poor. I have however picked up the NFC Reader/Writer so I can scan the gorgeous new Animal Crossing amiibo Cards. I’ve also ordered those too and I can see them becoming an addiction… Which isn’t good when they cost Β£4.99 for one pack. So I ordered three packs for under Β£13, which isn’t bad. It’s a real treat and I haven’t been playing my 2DS lately so I’m excited to start if back up. My whole weekend will be spent playing this game me thinks.

  • Iron Fist Bat Royalty Dress.

I love a good Iron Fist dress, and as my holiday is coming up, as well as Christmas party season I do have my eyes peeled on picking up something new… I think I may have found it. This is a gorgeous black dress, with a sheer burnt out fabric that shows off some gorgeous gothic and Halloween style patterns of bats, moons, stars, and some other patterns. This isn’t cheap though, so I’m going to keep my eyes on the price to hopefully drop. I can’t find this for sale on Iron Fist’s website and have actually found this through a seller on eBay. I’d rock this with some tights, boots, and a snuggly jumper, or my spiked biker jacket.

  • Yankee Candle in Snowflake Cookie.

If there is a season of Yankee Candle’s I love, it’s definitely the Christmas ones. They just remind me of Christmas, as well as other things, and to me they just smell the best. I still have just under half of a jar of Candy Cane Lane left, which I refuse to use again until I get another jarΒ  to burn. I just can’t wait to be able to pick up another Christmas candle to burn. I’m super excited.

  • Shopaholic To The Rescue by Sophie Kinsella.

I LOVE the Shopaholic series so when I read that the next installment would be out only a year after the last, I was so happy! I’ll probably pick this up before I go on holiday so I can read it whilst I’m there and this isn’t out until the end of the month anyway, so I have plenty of time to pick it up. The way the previous book ended made me so mad as it meant that I would need to wait for the next book to come out, which I thought would be in another couple of years. I’ll be buying the hardback again, as I just can’t wait until March for the paperback.

  • Skinnydip London Glitter Unicorn iPhone 6 Case.

I’ve been eyeing this phone case up since I saw it being spoken about over on Becky’s blog Milk Bubble Tea. It’s such a cute and beautiful phone case, and one that is selling out FAST. It has unicorns on it and water glitter inside so when you move the phone, the glitter moves too! These styles of phone cases are popping up everywhere at the moment, and now I’m lusting after one myself. This isn’t the cheapest phone case ever, but I have a discount code I can use on it, so I may just order it now it’s back in stock! I don’t know if I can resist this for too much longer.

So that is my wish list this month! I really don’t need to buy anything off of it as I’m so skint at the moment, and need to really start saving up for my holiday, as well as to try and get a deposit down on a house. Oh the joys of being an adult, eh?

What’s on your wish lists this month readers? Please let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time though, take care all and have a great weekend!
