I love a good tag and one to do with music is always a must! I’ve been so busy doing university work the past two weeks, that instead of finishing off one of my assignments, I’m doing this tag instead!
This was created by Lily Melrose and Zoe LDN, who I both love! So I knew I had to give this a go myself.
I have my iPod at the ready, as well as the tag questions, so let’s go!
1. Song that you listen to when you’re happy?
Living iPod – Savant.
I recently discovered this song, thanks to my boyfriend and quite frankly I love it. It’s chiptune, which I associate with being happy and such anyway. The song is said to have featured on quite a few videos on YouTube, which wouldn’t surprise me. I’ve recently downloaded Savant’s Vario album, which this song is from and I highly recommend it if you like chiptune, electronica, or even drum and bass, as I think you’ll love this.
2. Song that you listen to when you’re sad?
I Know It Hurts – Alter Bridge.
I’ve been listening to this song for years and whenever I feel really down this is usually a song I’ll stick on, as the lyrics are really good for that pick up needed when you feel that sad. Plus it’s Alter Bridge, they’re amazing! I can’t even chose a favourite lyric or two from this song (trust me, I just tried to!) as all the lyrics just serve a really strong message. If you ever feel down seriously check this song out.
3. What song will you have at your wedding?
Horse Outside – The Rubberbandits.
I won’t lie, I never think of things like this. All I think about for my possible future wedding is what food will be served and how I’ll have a DJ playing good music, instead of the rubbish that most weddings have. However after looking through my iPod for a possible song, I found one. Me and my boyfriend LOVE The Rubberbandits and this is the first song my boyfriend heard, thanks to me of course. This being said, this is also the first song I heard by The Rubberbandits. This is just such a fun song and due to the lyrics sung in the song I think this would be very apt if we were to get married.
4. What song do you dance around your house to?
PonPonPon – Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
This song is amazing. I’m surprised I didn’t pick it for the song that makes me happy! Whenever I put this on I just want to dance around my room, and more often than not I do. I sing loudly in Japanese (badly may I add!) and just enjoy myself. I remember finding out what the song meant in English and it was pretty cool and funny. The music video for this song is really weird though. But even so, an amazing song and I would like to check out more music by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
5. Song you play in your earphones when out and about?
Animals – Maroon 5.
I have quite a few but I settled on this one because I’ve found myself listening to V a lot since it came out. I really do like this song and it’s good to listen to whilst driving and when I travel to university as well. This is my favourite track on the album and as much as people hate it and have moaned about it, I love the music video too.
6. Song you listen to when you’re angry?
Break Stuff – Limp Bizkit.
An old classic and one I have always listened to when I’m pissed off. I doubt it’ll ever be replaced, I love my old skool Limp Bizkit too. This is also a song I considered for number 8. as quite frankly I used to lose my mind when this came on and I was out clubbing. I once started a mini mosh pit in a club because of this song too… Luckily it didn’t last that long!
7. Song you’d have at your funeral?
Yellow – Coldplay.
I don’t know why I would have this song, but it’s a really nice song and it isn’t really morbid. I wouldn’t want anything morbid at my funeral, I would want songs people could sing along to and think “Oh Nat loved this song!” You know? I’ve loved this song for years and it cheers me up to listen to. But personally I wouldn’t know which song to have at my funeral, as I doubt very much I would be able to pick one.
8. Song that makes you lose your shit at a party?
The Bad Touch – Bloodhound Gang.
I LOVE this song, love, love, love this song. I have done for years and I think I always will. Whenever this used to come on whilst I was out clubbing I literally screamed the lyrics until my voice had gone. As well as that I mimed whatever the lyrics were, complete saddo eh? I never sat down whilst this song was on, even if it meant dancing on my own. Listening to it now whilst I write this is making me want to have a little dance.
9. The last song you listened to?
IDGAF – Watsky.
This is a recently discovered song after checking out Watsky’s YouTube channel, even though it’s an old song. My boyfriend got me into Watsky when we first got together and since then I have enjoyed listening to his music. He’s a rapper but he’s just different, but he’s a really fast rapper too which is pretty awesome. I really like this song, it’s catchy and the lyrics are funny as well.
10. Your karaoke song?
White N Nerdy – “Weird Al” Yankovic.
This songs makes me laugh so much and it’s an odd choice of song to have for karaoke, but hear me out. Without the words I can’t sing this song, but with them I CAN! And karaoke’s have the words there on screen for you right? So this would have to be the song to sing. I’m such a show off that I can rap it, but whatever, it took me ages to perfect! Now if you excuse me… Must go and sing it. 😛
11. Song you work out to?
Call On Me – Eric Prydz.
Shit song, I know but I actually quite like it. Besides, when I used to work out, it was usually to this song so. It does get the blood pumping and body moving so I can’t complain. Must clarify that I don’t dress up like the women do in the music video. FYI as stupid as the women may look in the video, the work out they’re doing is hard! You feel the burn!
12. Song with the most memories attached?
Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt – We Are Scientists.
Soon as I saw this question I KNEW which song I had to pick! These guys played at Godiva Festival in Coventry this year, which me and my friend Poppy went to. We legged it over to the stage as soon as this song came on and we were both singing it loudly as we ran over, and sang and danced loads whilst we were by the stage too! Whenever I listen to the song it just takes me back to that day now and it was probably the best part of that festival to be honest.
13. Song that makes you cry?
She’s The One – Robbie Williams.
This was a really hard one to pick, as whilst I do cry at a lot of songs, it’s usually set off by being upset in the first place. I chose this song because this was the song my Mom and I chose to be played at my Gran’s funeral. I can’t really listen to it now without welling up a little bit and it never did that until we decided to have it for the funeral. The lyrics aren’t about losing someone to death, but they are about losing someone you cared about.
14. Song you hate the most?
Let It Go – Disney’s Frozen.
I refuse to actually put a song on here I hate, so I’ll put one that I love to hate and that has to be Let It Go as I can’t stop bloody singing it, but I love it regardless! I’m always singing it as soon as the terms let, it, or go are spoken of. I wonder when the Frozen songs will die… Soon… Soon…
15. Your favourite song of all time?
Du Hast – Rammstein & Sailor Man by The Real McKenzies.
I wouldn’t say that these two songs are my favourite of all time, but I know if I’m really in the mood for two good songs, I’ll listen to these two. These are actually in a playlist next to each other on my iPod and whilst it was accidental when they were first put onto it, they’re now in their order on purpose. You see these two songs work perfectly beside one another. If you play Du Hast first and then Sailor Man afterwards, they just work so well. I feel like a mini DJ when I play them both and that alone makes me happy! Both songs I first heard thanks to Bam Margera, so it makes me laugh that they both blend well together.
So that was the soundtrack to my life! I have to say that was really fun to do, although I wish there had been more questions, as I had so many more songs I would have loved to mention.
Will you be taking part in this tag? I hope so because I’m going to pass the tag on and ask people to join in with it. If you do decide to give it a go, drop a comment down below saying you’ve done it so I can go and read.
Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re all ready for Christmas tomorrow.
