September Wish List ’17

It’s September! My favourite month of the year and the month of our holiday! YAY! Due to that this months wish list isn’t anything special really and if anything is me adding some items I want to get as staples for my autumn and winter wardrobe.

This months wish list was really hard to be fair as I just can’t think of much I want right now. There’s just been a few big things I’ve wanted, but I’ll go into more detail about that as and when.

But no more chit chat, wish list time! 😀

  • Naketano Put The D On Me II Hoodie – £60.38 (link)

I actually stumbled across this hoodie when shopping with Dane recently. Sadly it was TK Maxx and at the best of times it’s like a jumble sale so whilst I found one I couldn’t find anymore. Sadly the one they had left was too small for me. I looked on their website and sadly they didn’t have the hoodie in stock on their either. ARGH! I did get a note of the brand and looked online at their official website and discovered that Naketano are a German brand. The best bit being that they had the hoodie I wanted in stock on their own website as well as on Blue Tomato, which is where I found it. It’s a gorgeous navy hoodie with red stars all over. It has a cowl neck which means it’ll be lovely to snuggle into when the weather begins to get chillier. It’s not cheap though as you can see from the price, yet TK Maxx was selling it for £29.99! I’ll be scouring local TK Maxx’s for this before I go on holiday.

  • Primark Pusheen Sweatshirt.

Primark are really upping their game with character clothing and merchandise and I would like to say I can’t get enough of it, but I haven’t bought any for ages! When I was out shopping with Dane I nearly bought a Marie sweatshirt but left it. I just want a cute and baggy sweatshirt to snuggle up in in my house whilst I do blog and house work. I didn’t see this when I popped in though and I had forgotten all about its existence until I looked on my eBay earlier. I wish I had looked for it now as I would have picked it up! I don’t know how much it’s meant to be from Primark itself, but on eBay it’s going for between £18.00-£25.00! Shit. I won’t buy this unless it’s from Primark itself.

  • Living Dead Clothing Aggretsuko Rainmaker – £39.78 (link)

This brand is very similar to Black Milk Clothing and a lot of people argue about whether one or the other is better. I can’t really comment as I’ve not yet bought any pieces from Living Dead. I want to though and I have my eye on a few pieces (I’ll have to do a wish list in the future!). The one thing that I really like about Living Dead is the amount of geeky anime and gaming related pieces they bring out. They’ve had Studio Ghibli and Pokemon related pieces out in the past and I wish I had picked some up. But they currently have some Sanrio pieces up for grabs in the final chance area of the website which is the newer member of the Sanrio family, Aggretsuko! She’s a red panda who works a shitty office job and spends her time after work singing metal on karaoke to take out the frustrations of said job. They have a crop top with her on as well as the rainmaker which is what I want more out of the two. These like Black Milk aren’t cheap though and due to them coming from Australia, shipping isn’t either. I would rock this with black leggings and jeans in the summertime and a long sleeved t-shirt underneath in the winter. Due to it being discontinued I’m torn over whether to buy or not… I probably won’t though. 😦

  • Marks & Spencer Striped Round Neck Jumper – £16.00 (link)

This is a jumper I keep seeing lately and it’s gorgeous for an M&S piece… 😛 A lot of their clothing is designed for the older lady but this one is pretty nice and can be worn with all sorts. I’m really after a jumper that I can wear with my new skater skirt (which you can see here). I’m after wearing stuff like this throughout autumn and winter this year, so I’ll be on the hunt for lots of lovely jumpers to team up with the skirt.

  • Disney Store Lady and the Tramp Tsum Tsum Bundle – £21.00 (link)

I saw these a couple of days in the Disney Store and I wanted to buy all of them! As old readers will know I LOVE Lady and the Tramp, it’s my favourite Disney movie so whenever I see merch come out for the film at the Disney Store, I have to buy. I already have the old Lady Tsum Tsum, but now I want the new one, as well as all her friends and enemies! I won’t get these until after the holiday though.

  • Dr Martens 8761 BXB Boot – £135.00 (link)

I don’t need a new pair of Docs… I really don’t. I saw these advertised recently on their official Instagram page and fell in love! I have a thing for Dr Martens boots with a steel toe, my Triumph boots have this same sort of look and it looks so chunky and amazing! I love the classic 1461 boots, but the chunky toe just gives them that edgy look. As much as I love my Triumph boots they aren’t the easiest to put on when in a hurry and I’d like some ankle boots that I can just shove on and go out the door in! These are going to be something I’ll treat myself to before my student discount card runs out. 😛 I’ll rock them throughout autumn and winter this year FOR SURE!

So that’s my wish list this month. It’s not the best wish list in the world but there’s a couple of pieces on here that I really want to get for my colder weather essentials. I don’t know if I’ll be buying anything whilst on holiday beauty and fashion wise. I’m sure I’ll have a massive list of goodies up I’ve bought when I’m back. Unless I buy the Docs before I go, I won’t be buying anything on this list anytime soon. Money that I get paid this month will be for holiday and bills. 😛

What items do you have on your wish lists right now? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’ve had an awesome week and weekend!

April Favourites ’17

Easter holidays are over, all the chocolate eggs have been sold or are still on sale in the shops, and Mini Eggs won’t be back until New Year… This is the saddest thing for me. I fucking love Mini Eggs! 😛

But we’re into May now and happy May Day! I’m off work for a change and I intend to spend the day doing sod all and chilling out with Dane. I might make us sausage and mash… Love it!

ANYWAY! With a new month of course comes my monthly posts, including my favourites. April was a funny month, but I discovered a lot of new items this month gone and luckily stuff I needed… Not just buying for the sake of it. 😛

  • Imperial Leather Marshmallow Shower Cream.

I’ve used this in the past and I’m pretty sure it has featured on my monthly favourites before. It being featured on here again just shows what an amazing product it is! I actually forgot how good it was until I recently started using it again. It smells beautiful and leaves your skin not only smelling yummy but feeling lovely and soft too. For only a £1 you cannot go wrong!

  • Vaseline Lip Therapy with Cocoa Butter.

It’s shit to admit but my lips are STILL bad. Well they appear to be on the mend now and better than before but still bad… Urgh. I finally got some decent answers from two doctors recently and was given the right treatments. Alongside using the treatment creams I’ve also been slathering on this Vaseline in between applications to keep my lips nice and moist… Ew I hate that word but it’s the only word I can use right now and it be accurate. This tub is for around the house, as I bought an aloe vera one for out on the go and for work. I don’t like that one as much as the cocoa butter though to be honest. I find the smell to be fresh, but that doesn’t apply when on the lips. I feel like the cocoa butter scent is lovely both in the jar and when applied to the lips. You can never go wrong with cocoa butter to be fair! I love this better than the original Vaseline though to be honest! 😀

  • Boots Essentials Cucumber Eye Gel.

I needed a new eye gel last month and wanted to make sure to get something that would cool my eyes whilst hydrating them throughout the day. I wouldn’t usually go for a low budget eye gel due to the whole, “It’s not going to do sod all…” but I thought for £1.50 it wouldn’t break the bank to give it a whirl! I hate eye creams and have always opted to buying gels if I can. This one is amazing and really does soothe and cool tired eyes either in the morning before work or after a long day in the evening. Either way I love this and I think I’ll end up buying another soon for mine and Dane’s holiday in September!

  • Barry M Molten Metal Nail Paint in shade Copper Mine.

When I was off work during April I decided to paint my nails as due to the job I do I’m not allowed to wear it whilst working. I have a couple of these Molten Metal polishes but this one is my favourite. I find the copper shade suits my yellow skin tone the best and it just looks gorgeous too. The formula is lovely and it lasts ages before chipping! Even whilst doing loads of work on the house last week it hardly chipped. This was without a top coat too! I’ll be reviewing these very soon as they deserve a review. I plan to get myself the new holographic shade that recently came out. These are on 2 for £7 at the moment so I’ll be getting that and another shade.

  • Radox Feel Heavenly Bath Soak with Coconut & Milk.

Finally we have a bubble bath on my monthly favourites. I still use my Lush products, don’t get me wrong but more often than not I find if I overuse them it actually causes more harm to my body than good. That and I try to make my money last at the moment. ANYWAY! This bath soak was bought on a whim that I wanted something nice and light to use on days off work and before bed. This is a gorgeous bubble bath where a little bit goes a long way, but I always add a generous amount to my bath to create LOADS of bubbles. I always find this leaves my skin lovely and soft after use. It’s amazing.

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – Sirens (UK version).

This is a show I recently started to re-watch. It was out YEARS ago… (looks on Wikipedia) Holy shit 2011 was when this show first aired. I feel old. Very old. ANYWAY! As the title may give away this show is about 3 paramedics and it shows what they get up to during their shifts. It also shows a couple of members of the Police and Fire Service too. This is fiction I’ll have you know and is actually a comedy. I love it so much though, it just makes me laugh. There are some serious notes in it however and with that it does remind me of Only Fools and Horses. One moment it can be side splitting funny and the next bringing a tear to your eye. If you’ve never watched it and you fancy giving it a go then I think you’re only options now are going to be watching it online for free, or as a shitty YouTube upload. I’m being naughty and watching it online for free… Hey! I’d buy it if I could!

Favourite Film – Your Name (Kimi no Na wa).

Last month me and Dane went to go and watch this after he found out it was showing in the Mockingbird cinema in Birmingham’s Custard Factory. He booked it that day and that evening we were off to watch it. Oh my God it wasn’t even what I was expecting it to be to be honest. I knew what the basic plot was for the film but it has a lot of twists and such throughout the film. I don’t want to talk too in depth as I worry it could spoil the film for anyone who hasn’t seen it. You can watch a trailer here if you like the sound of it. BUT to be honest if you haven’t heard about it by now, whether you’re an anime fan or not then where have you been hiding? It keeps being spoken about how it’s the best anime film for quite some time. 😛

Favourite Book – K-ON!

As regular readers of my blog will know I have been reading nothing but manga since the start of the year and whilst it is an expensive thing to keep on top of, it is so damn worth it! I recently purchased all of the K-ON manga to read and whilst I am only somewhat through the series, I am in love with it. It’s just great to see some of my new favourite anime characters come to life on the pages of the manga as well as through the anime series. I’ll be reviewing in the future!

Favourite Songs – George Michael “Freedom! 90” and “Careless Whisper”.

This is kind of random I suppose but a few nights ago I just started listening to songs from the 00’s… Which led to songs from the 90’s and for some reason that then led me to listen to some of George Michael’s best singles. Of course he died at the end of last year which was a real shame. He was a talented guy in every way! I have always had a place for “Freedom! 90” and I don’t know why… I especially love the music video as I think it’s so clever, alongside the song as a dig at the music industry. 😛 Thanks to Deadpool now whenever I hear “Careless Whisper” I just think of Ryan Reynolds singing it at the end of the film. HA! 😛 BUT instead of popping either of the songs mentioned above I thought I would attach Seether’s cover of “Careless Whisper”. It’s amazing in my eyes and they did a really good job!

Favourite game – TsumTsum.

This is a game I have owned for as long as I’ve had my iPhone 6 to be honest… I remember when I went on holiday with my dad in November 2015 playing it whenever we were near a WiFi connection! ANYWAY… This is a game I have been playing nonstop this month and it’s one I always forget that I love to play. It’s a game that you can actually pay to play in Japan as an actual arcade game. I would love to play it like that! I’ve attached a video above of Sharla playing it! It’s just a great, free and relaxing game to play. It’s one of those where you need to match up 3 plus of the same Disney character to get rid of them, get a high score, coins etc. With those coins you can buy new characters etc. If you love Disney and love the Tsum Tsum’s then you’ll love this!

So those were my favourites from April! I can’t believe how quickly the year is going by though to be perfectly honest. Next month me and Dane will have been in our house for a year and I don’t know if I like that or if it scares me a little. Time is going wayyyyy too fast and I don’t think I like that. It also means next month marks our four year anniversary which IS exciting and I don’t mind that. 😛 It does feel like we’ve been together longer mind.

What products were you loving throughout April? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time take care all and I hope you have a lovely bank holiday Monday. I know I will be. 😛

Non Beauty Favourites #1

Whilst chilling out in my room this morning, applying for jobs, and catching up with iPlayer, I decided that I would share my non beauty favourites with you guys. I’ve always wanted to do a post like this, but I’ve never really had enough things to actually talk about to make it worthy enough. However, I have loads of things I have been loving lately, that I just NEED to share them with you now!

  • 100% Chilled Album

I’ve owned this album for a month now, if not a little longer and I really do love it! Aside from alternative, metal, and pretty much any form of rock music, I also really like electronica, house, and chill out music. So when I saw this album being advertised, I knew I had to have it! I’m not a huge fan of compilation CD’s and I don’t know if this is due to being bought Now CD’s as soon as they came out as a kid. I loved them, don’t get me wrong! But I often found out of 40 songs I would only like about half of them, if that. I always found I swayed towards CD two as well, the one that didn’t have the popular songs on it. However with this album I like pretty much all the songs, which is good of course! I pop this on for my drive to and from work, it really does help me chill out, and I love having a sing along with the tracks that come on. I now have this on my iPod and my iPhone so I can listen to it when on the go as well. I’ll be taking it on holiday as well for me and my dad to listen to, as I know he’ll love it. I thought I would list my top 5 favourite tracks off of the album:

  1.  “La La La” ft. Sam Smith – Naughty Boy (YouTube link)
  2. “Waves” (Robin Schulz Radio Edit) – Mr. Probz (YouTube link)
  3. “Stay High” (Hippie Sabotage Remix) – Tove Lo (YouTube link)
  4. “Intro” – The xx (YouTube link)
  5. “Counting Stars”OneRepublic (YouTube link)

If you think you’ll like the sound of this album, I recommend picking it up! Aside from No Devotion’s new album coming out at the end of the month, I can see this being my go to album for autumn and winter.

  • South Park

If there is one show that I cannot stop watching at the moment, it’s most definitely South Park. A thing of genius, beauty, and offensive shit. I’m even watching it now whilst I write this post! I’ve just got to season 12 and wow, the show really has changed since season 1, the season I grew up watching and pissing myself laughing at. Next week the new season will launch, which is pretty cool and exciting! A lot of people don’t like South Park due to how offensive it can be, but I think it’s hilarious and when you read and watch interview with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, you find out that they aren’t intending to offend people, they’re just making a silly TV show and if it offends people, then it wasn’t intentional. Of course, they are also the guys behind The Book of Mormon (review here), something I went to watch with my boyfriend in July. Lately I’ve not been feeling too great, and when I’ve been at home I’ve been watching this and it sure has cheered me up! It’s hard to pick my favourite character, but since it came out it has always been Kenny, but Butters is now my second favourite. They’re both somewhat similar, but different at the same time. Kenny is poor, doesn’t take off his parka that often, and seems to be more knowledgeable about women out of all the boys. He’s also notorious for being killed in episodes, something the creators stopped happening so often, so when they DO kill him in an episode it’s hilarious. Whereas with Butters, he is just adorable! Constantly getting into trouble with his parents and being grounded, being the innocent one out of all the boys, and just being adorable when he says, “oh hamburgers!” I love South Park now more than I ever have, and I’ll be sad when I finally get up to date with all the episodes. Here are my favourite 5 episodes at the moment:

  1. “Weight Gain 4000” – Season 1
  2. “Kenny Dies” – Season 5
  3. “Scott Tenorman Must Die” – Season 5
  4. “Towelie” – Season 5
  5. “Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset” – Season 8
  6. “Woodland Critter Christmas” – Season 8
  7. “AWESOM-O” – Season 8
  8. “Marjorine” – Season 9
  9. “Best Friends Forever” – Season 9
  10. “Make Love Not Warcraft” – Season 10

Okay I couldn’t just do 5 episodes, I had to do 10! They’re in no best to last order, I love them all equally. Go check out South Park though if you loved it as a teen, it’s even better now.

  • Tsum Tsum iPhone Game

I’m totally addicted to this game! I used to own it when it first came out, but I got bored of it and ended deleting. Recently however I saw it being advertised on the App Store and decided to give it another go, and I’m glad I did. This is a little game where you need to join up the various Tsum Tsum characters to essentially get rid of them. They never go mind, but you can get loads of points and cash through it, and then with the cash you can buy new Tsum Tsum characters to play with. They all have different tricks and such you can use to get rid of the characters in the game. It’s very addictive, free, and I recommend it to anyone! The only thing I don’t like about it is that you need to e connected to wifi or 3G/4G to play it. GRR!

  • Sudoku

To me there is nothing better than relaxing evening of playing Sudoku whilst I watch South Park, or chill out with my boyfriend. Yeah, that sound pretty dull but I love it! Sudoku is something not many enjoy, due to how long it can take to finish one puzzle, but I love that side of it! Recently my boyfriend bought me this gorgeous book and since then I haven’t stopped doing the puzzles. I usually buy a cheapo mini book that I keep in my handbags when out on the go, but this one is much better to pull out of my bag. It was pricey at £2, but totally worth it!

So those were my non beauty favourites recently! I really enjoyed doing this post, and I can see me doing them every now and again. What did you think of this new addition to my blog? Yay, nay? Let me know the comments, as well as what non beauty things you’ve been loving lately.

Until next time, take care all!

May Wish List 2015

I swear to God, April has been a tough month and before May 21st, it’ll be even tougher. I’m towards the end of my second semester of uni and that means lots and LOTS of uni work! I have five assignments due in and I need to start working on my dissertation as soon as the 21st has gone. I’ve already started it, which is good of course.

Anyway, wish list. I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to be honest, and I had to have a think about what I had seen and lusted after. Some I have mentioned before, but I’ll talk about them differently this time around.

I think after the 21st I’ll treat myself to a few things from this list for working so hard… Yeah… Maybe if I’m not skint anyway!

  • Yankee Candle Tea Lights in Berrylicious.

I own this scent in a large jar (which I spoke about here) and it’s by far one of my favourites! However, due to how rare this candle is now appearing to be, I’ve decided to save it until I move out and have my own home to burn it in. The same can be said for my newest candle, Red Velvet (in a large jar! YAY!), which I picked up at the start of April. I have had my eye on the Berrylicious range in Yankee Candle’s sale for a bargain. I recently bought the Easter Vanilla Cupcake and bunny tea light holder in Clinton’s sale so I now have a cute little tea light holder to burn my candles in! So I might pick this tea light set up in the sale. Berrylicious is such a yummy smell and will be perfect for summer.

  • 101 Dalmatians Lucy Tsum Tsum.

Oh my Gosh, everyone is in love with these and at first I didn’t get why… Until I saw them for the first time in the Disney Store and now I know why. These little guys are so cute and adorable! They come in small, medium and large sizes. The large ones are huge and would prove good companions if you feel miserable and want something to snuggle into. I think they’d also work good on long journeys and you want to have a snooze. They look like pillows. However, I’ve only been interested in the small ones and they’re just as cute. I’ve had my eye on Lady from Lady and The Tramp but from having a look on the Disney Store website, I’ve discovered that they have 101 Dalmatians ones! This is my second favourite Disney film so I was instantly attracted. Lucky has always been my favourite puppy (for obvious reasons!) and as a kid whenever I found something 101 Dalmatians themed, I usually bought it. I was obsessed with it at one point and it was a bit crazy. But sod it, we’re all a little crazy aren’t we? But enough rambling! I’d love all the other puppies available too, which are Patch and Rolly. I can see me ordered these as a treat when I get paid at the end of the month.

  • OPI Nail Lacquer in This Colour’s Making Waves (from Hawaii Collection).

I love OPI and over the past couple of years they have become my favourite nail polish brand. Sometimes there are just collections and shades that come out that I really love and need in my life and this is one of them. This colour really is making waves over the blogging community and everyone appears to adore it. I’ve read review, after review and the more I have read, the more I have wanted it. I had a look at it in store the weekend and it really did appeal to me. I would have bought it there and then but I don’t think my boyfriend would have allowed me without a fight… SO I have decided to save it as a treat for when I’ve handed in all my assignments for semester two. That seems a pretty decent bargain to me! The shade itself is a shimmery teal with blue and greens in there. It reminds me of Fuerteventura (where I was somewhat brought up as a child) and the ocean looks just like this. It would just remind me of that and I miss that place like a fat kid on a diet misses cake. So I kinda need this in my life…

  • YY Kawaii personalised iPhone case.

I’ve mentioned this Etsy seller before and she is amazing! I really want her to customise a case for me! I was close to ordering one at the start of the week, but I left it. I’m going to wait until I get myself a new phone before I finish uni. I may as well, as whilst her cases look beautiful, they’re also expensive. So I wouldn’t want to buy one for my iPhone 5, only in three or four months time to get an iPhone 6. To then need to order another one. So I may as well wait it out and think about what I would like. I have some ideas and it’s definitely a nerdy Pokemon themed one, especially Eevee! I want a Starbucks cup on there, as well as some other cute little pink things and such. I can’t wait to order it!

  • Eve 3D Mug.

Who doesn’t love Disney Store mugs, eh? I love them and once a year I may buy myself a new one. I used to buy them all the time when I was in college and undergraduate uni but I’ve grown up a little since and been good and saved money. However we all need to be a big kid sometimes and when I fancy being just this, I look to Disney and Pokemon for my childish fixes. I have the 3D Wall E mug and I want the Eve one to match! I wanted this mug for about a year and every time I went into the Disney Store it was sold out, the Wall E one too! Then they told me it wasn’t coming back into store, but to check online. They’d all gone from there too. However last year on a random shopping date I FOUND WALL E! He was in the sale with £2 knocked off of him. If Eve had have been there too, I would have bought her as well. When I have my own home, all my mugs will be Disney and anime related. Because I’m cool that way.

  • Lanolips Lip Ointment in Apples.

I’ve been lusting after a Lanolips lip ointment for years, but due to how expensive they are… I’ve never picked one up. Plus everywhere I’ve looked, they’ve never had this one in stock. So I left it. However, Feel Unique now stock this one and it excites me very much! I’ve wanted to pick up the banana one too, but as I’m allergic to banana and it contains actual banana, I wouldn’t want to worry it would set off my allergies. This is expensive and it’ll have to be a very special treat to myself to pick it up.

  • How to Build a Girl by Caitlin Moran.

I can’t say I have loved Caitlin Moran’s books… I was bought How To Be a Woman years ago and I just couldn’t get into it. I don’t know if it was me at the time and the frame of mind I was in, but I just had to stop reading. I was so excited to read it too as the person who bought it for me said I was similar to Caitlin, but when I read it I kept thinking, “fuck off, I am nothing like this!” but I will someday give that book another go. However, I fancied buying this whilst food shopping as not only was it cheap, but the plot sounded right up my street! And the style of writing that I do myself. I will definitely buy it someday, but maybe not yet as with uni work, my reading has been put on hold. Which I’m pretty gutted about! I love reading so much.

  • TAFI Deadpool Leggings.

I love me some leggings and whilst I love Black Milk ones the most, they aren’t very purse friendly and whilst I often purchase mine via eBay (I make sure they’re legit, etc) I just want to find something new… Etsy is great for this and whilst some don’t look as good as Black Milk, some are designs that Black Milk haven’t even done yet. This is one of them. I rather like Deadpool and I’m super excited about the movie with Ryan Reynolds (who is also one of my favourite actors) these leggings are just perfect really. They look great quality and just look cool and I’d be able to dress them up with all sorts. Including postage, these would only cost me over £17. BARGAIN when Black Milk will cost you nearly £100 including postage! I recommend checking out TAFI if you want some cool leggings for a bargain.

So that’s my wish list for May! I do need to save money so I may only buy one or two items from this list. I need to save money for bills, uni, as well as for trying to put a deposit on my own home. It’s tough going but I guess this is being a grown up.

What’s on your wish list this month? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and see you soon.
