Art by NIU – Animal Crossing Commission

Hi guys, I’m here this week to share with you an exciting post! Yes… It is Animal Crossing related, but is that REALLY a problem? I don’t think so. 😛

In the UK we are still in lock down and I don’t know about you guys, but with this I have been shopping more online… As well as window shopping. I’ve also been spending most of my free time playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so I have been craving some more Animal Crossing merchandise… Like the stuff I bought from Japan wasn’t enough (there will be a Nintendo Tokyo Store haul coming next month!)…

I discovered Art by Niu through a Twitter giveaway she was hosting for someone to win one of her Animal Crossing commissions. Of course I had to enter, the design she was showcasing was adorable and I honestly fell in love. To try for the competition you had to do the usual, such as follow, like, retweet and comment which villager you would have drawn and how you would have them be if you won.

I didn’t win – but before I even found this out I KNEW I had to get my own commission from Niu. I love commissions, especially when they’re kawaii and Japanese inspired and of things I love. Animal Crossing is something I have loved since I was 18 so to get a commission done really did make me happy.

The idea I wrote for my entry into the competition was the same one I asked for when I requested a commission from Niu. I had always wanted the dog villager Cookie to come to my town in New Leaf (she wasn’t around in Wild World) but she never did. So, the fact I was able to buy her amiibo card before New Horizons came out made me happy! I could invite her into my game and be happy. Since inviting her I always love to go and visit her on my island now and her happy, sassy presence makes me so happy t see her everyday.

So, I knew I wanted my commission with Cookie. I decided to go with Cookie singing to me (as she constantly calls herself a pop singer/princess) with the music note emotions over her head and me sitting listening to her music with the flower emotions over my head.

I sent an image of both my Animal Crossing character and Cookie stood together so Niu had a reference to go off of. The price I paid at the time was $20 and Niu suggested that I could pay half now, half when the commission was completed, which I thought was really fair! I filled in a little form that Niu sent me, paid my $10 deposit via PayPal and waited.

A day later I received a pencil/pen line sketch of my design and I was in love. I saved it straight away as I wanted to look at all the details that Niu had put into it, from Cookie singing into a microphone, to me clapping with my eyes closed. I was so pleased and couldn’t wait to see the image in colour.

Fast forward a week and Niu sent me my commission and I couldn’t have been happier! The colours are vibrant and my character is exactly how she looks in my game, even down to the rainbow cardigan she is wearing and purple high tops. Even the colours of Cookie are perfect especially the contract between her pink fur and the retro blue dress she wears.

Honestly, everything about the commission makes me smile and I’ve not only been adding it everywhere online (aka profile photos) and making it my screensaver on my iPad, I’ve been showing it off to people online, as well as via messages to friends.

After I received my commission via email, I sent the remaining payment of $10 to Niu and I had my lovely commission!

When I shared the commission Niu did for me onto Twitter it blew up! I’ve never received so many likes and retweets of a post before and it made me so happy that not only did people share my post, but how much love was being shown for Niu’s work. She deserves it!

If you would like to get a commission of your own from Niu, whether it be Animal Crossing related or something else, I have included all the information above that is on her Twitter page… Can you spot my commission on there? 😛

Niu has also posted some of the Animal Crossing commissions she has worked on so far (including mine), which I thought I would show you all too. 🙂

I thought I would post below some of Niu’s social media handles, as well as other links too:

Overall I am so damn happy with my commission from Art by Niu, so much so that Dane is going to get one with his favourite villager Cherry (dog villager) and I’m already planning to get another one with another one of my favourite villagers Bones (another dog villager).

Are you playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons at the moment? How are you finding it, whose your favourite villager, etc? Would you get a commission from Art by Niu? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time, stay safe and take care everyone!

TV TREV Photography*

Happy New Year! I can’t believe it is now 2019 and what a year I think it’ll be. 😛

Before 2019 came to be I worked with Trevor, an amazing photographer based in the Midlands who has brought out an amazing concept for portrait photography. As it’s now a New Year, I thought it would be great to start my first 2019 post off with a bang and talk about his company, what he does and why YOU need to get yourself a portrait photo and why!

Trevor runs TV TREV Photography, where he provides the service of affordable portrait photography for students, graduates and young professionals. When he shoots his photos he offers a natural approach, which is he speciality.

He states on his website, “I’ve realised that we are increasingly judged by how we present ourselves. This is most true for students, graduates and young professionals who have to navigate the interconnecting paths of social media, dating and job hunting. This is where my style of natural, and authentic photos comes into play.

On Trevor’s website you can find out more about him, his social media handles, his blog, contact details but most importantly his previous work! This includes various photographs from his event, portrait and street work. There’s loads of photographs to browse through, so depending what you might want from your shoot with him, you can have a peek at what he’s already done. He has loads of variety on his website, which I loved seeing before working with him.

I loved the look and sound of what Trevor was doing with his portrait photography and it is something I really do feel like we’re missing from our social media platforms… A decent photo! We always do selfies, or use photographs from nights out with friends, or events with families. It always looks so much better and professional when you have a professional photo.

I was so excited to work with Trevor, as I wanted to share his amazing work with you guys and encourage you all that getting a portrait photograph taken should be on your goals for 2019, especially if you plan to try for a job, meet someone online or even just want to get something a bit better as your Instagram pic. 😛

Me and Trevor met up in Coventry town centre and headed to a lovely coffee shop near the train station. May I just add what a lovely, patient and funny guy Trevor is! I was running late due to a delay on my train to Birmingham and I felt so guilty. Bless Trevor, he waited for me in the train station and when I arrived we headed to the coffee shop. On the way there we chatted about what my blog and his company are about and Japan. It really relaxed me into the photo shoot, as I was feeling a tad on the nervous side. I’ve only ever had something like this once and that was almost 10 years ago!

Trevor had come up with loads of ideas for photographs, which was amazing! Due to the fact my blog has coffee in the title he suggested the coffee shop and had already come up with loads of prop ideas for the shoot in there, including getting a cup of coffee to drink from and hold. I LOVED this idea! The mini consultation we had previous to the shoot was perfect and as stupid as it sounds, I don’t think I’d have even come up with the whole, “Hey coffee in the blog title? Let’s work with that!” 😛

We sat down at a bar section in the window and I grabbed a coffee. After a bit of thought about how to do the shoot there and getting the camera set up, we were ready.

The coffee shop is a photographers DREAM as in the window there are various lights hanging from above, which make for a gorgeous sight during the winter when the earlier nights are upon us. I’d never ventured to the coffee shop before but I loved it so much! It’s the kind of place I’d venture to for a coffee and to read a good book, or catch up on some blog work.

We took loads of photographs from various positions, including from outside, which was really fun to do but at times I felt unsure what to do with myself but this was just due to the nerves. It’s hard to try and look natural at first when you have a camera pointing at you. We’re all so used to smiling and pulling silly faces!

We used the coffee cup I had my flat white coffee in as a prop and I really love how the photographs turned out for these too! When Trevor originally suggested this idea to me in our consultation I was so excited to try it out. I was meant to take a prop with me, a takeaway coffee cup but I completely forgot it at home, which annoyed me. 😦 We worked with what we had however, which was great.

One of the props we used during the shoot was a pot with some poinsettias in. This is actually one of my favourite photos from the shoot due to that prop, as well as the pose I’m doing. It has now become my blog photograph for social media, as well as for my blog! I’m so thrilled with it. 🙂

As I mentioned earlier Trevor was so patient and very encouraging as to what could be done and how we could do it. I kept smiling and it didn’t look natural so he was great when it came to the sort of photos we could take to get a more natural feel.

After each mini shoot that we did in the coffee shop, Trevor would sit back down with me and show me the photographs, which I think is such a good thing to do! I mean, if you want a surprise of what the photos are like then fair enough, but it’s really nice to see the outcome of a shot! I know whenever I do my photography for people, I always love to show them the shot I’ve taken, especially if it’s a really good one!

I honestly love the outcome of all of the photos we took in the coffee shop as they have such a natural and relaxed feel, which is perfect! You can really get the feeling of me watching the world go by, with one coffee sip at a time. 😛

I absolutely adore this photograph that Trevor took of me and I’ve now started to use it on my personal social media pages, as well as printed it off for my parents as it’s such a gorgeous picture for them to both have.

The coffee shop was pretty busy and we felt we’d taken enough photographs there, so we left and headed for the town centre to try and get some more photos. I had taken my Elodie light up umbrella with me to try and get some photographs with it, but due to it still being light and not being able to find any super dark places to shoot, it wasn’t as successful as we’d hoped.

Instead we ventured into the new eateries in Cathedral Lanes, including Cosy Club and The Botanist. There were very relaxed and fun shoots to do! We did various different things, including posing with the Christmas tree inside Cosy Club, me playing on my phone and answering messages, to me watching the people of Coventry start their Christmas shopping!

The German Market was also on in Coventry town centre, which was really cute and if it had of been darker, we would have got some awesome shots there too.

Oh by the way, it was bloody freezing sitting on the metal chairs outside The Botanist! My bum was very, VERY cold! xD

After an hour and a half, me and Trevor decided we had taken enough photographs and it was time to end the photo shoot. I had such an amazing time throughout the shoot and was so excited for the finished photographs to be sent over to me from Trevor. They arrived during my work Christmas party and I was so excited to see them!

I’m so chuffed with all the photographs that Trevor took and the amazing job he did on them. He’s such a star and I honestly can’t thank him enough. He was such a friendly and approachable guy and if you’d like to do something like this, but feel anxious or nervous, honestly don’t! Trevor is so down to earth, a laugh and just a great photographer to work with.

So, down to the pricing information and how it all works!

Pricing starts from £25 for 3 finished photographs after a consultation to find out what you would want out of the shoot and determining what location would work best for yourself. Of course there would also be a non refundable deposit, this you would of course discuss with Trevor.

If I had of paid for my shoot it would have cost me £25 with my 3 finished photographs*. There would be a £5 deposit and the price is based off the fact it was shot in Coventry.

As someone who has charged for their photography in the past, this is such an amazing price to be honest with you and is such a friendly and affordable price for students and graduates! I spoke with Trevor about getting a couples natural photo shoot done in the future for either mine and Dane’s anniversary or his birthday.

I know Trevor expressed how much he would love to do a shoot in the snow, SO if you’re based in the Midlands and it snows soon, get in touch with him! 😛

I’ll pop all of Trevor’s social media handles down below, and although I linked it at the start of this post I will also include his website again! You can also find his email and telephone number on his website. I won’t link them here due to privacy.

Jennifairy x Sour Attitude Club Pika Sweets Cafe Pin Badges

2018 is definitely the year of pin badges for me! For someone who started off with about two at the start of it, I now have quite a nice little collection coming on. I can complain all I want but I really love pin badges. They’ve fast become jewellery to me and I always have a pin badge either on my jackets, cardigans, jumpers and sometimes on my dresses. The only place I refuse to keep pin badges are on my bags and this is due to them either leaving holes behind on bags, or even the worry of them falling off. This has happened various times in the past with my Deapdool pin badge and thankfully I’ve never lost it.

Anyway, I thought I would share my newest additions to my pin flag as I feel that they need to be mentioned. I’ve mentioned Jennifairy on my blog in the past, which you can read here. I love her Eeveelution designs to death and I honestly need to order more of her goodies in 2019!

So without further ado, it’s time to show and talk about the pin badges.

These pin badges were announced back in October and whilst I was travelling to London I decided to order them. They arrived pretty much a week later due to the amount of Kickstarter’s I’ve backed with pin badges I forgot that these weren’t so they arrived quicker than I thought they would. Jennifairy is always great with shipping anyway, so if you wanted to order anything for Christmas, she’s great for that.

As you’ll have guessed from the title these are collaboration pin designs by both Jennifairy and Sour Attitude Club. I own pins by both of them and although I love the previous ones, these two Pikachu designs are definitely my favourite to date for so many reasons.

I ordered my pins from Jennifairy as she’s based in the UK, whereas Sour Attitude Club is based in America, so it just made sense really. You could either purchase both the pins separately or together, of course I had to go for the latter.

The two designs are adorable and cafe related and you have one Pikachu that is inside a crepe and the other Pikachu who is holding a Jigglypuff ice cream. Both are absolutely adorable! Although I was drawn to the Pikachu holding the Jigglypuff ice cream, I loved them both too much to just buy the one. I’m so glad I have both of the designs.

The designs of both the pins have clearly had loads of thought and love put into them and the detailing on the crepe Pikachu is amazing for a pin badge. It’s not even anything major, but I love it so much. It reminds me of something you would be served at the Pokemon Cafe in Japan, without the Pikachu sadly. 😛

The Pikachu holding the Jigglypuff ice cream I feel is a more subtle design and I feel has been made for people who may not want anything too much when it comes to a pin badge. This is the sort of badge I would wear for work as it isn’t too in your face. I do really love that the ice cream is in a Jigglypuff shape! They could have done a brown chocolate ice cream in the shape of Eevee ready for the new Let’s Go games that are coming out tomorrow. I love the Jigglypuff pink more. 😛

The crepe pin is surprisingly more weighty than I thought it was going to be, but I rather like that myself. Due to the size of the Jigglypuff ice cream pin it doesn’t weigh anything, which I also really like.

On the back of both pins the designers names are printed, which I really love. I like when I see artists adding their names onto their pins, it just gives a bit more of a luxe feel to the pin badges and it’s nice for people to remember who their pins are by, just in case they forget. I know a lot of people out there own a lot more pins than I do so they may forget. OR if you are gifting these to friends and family, if they don’t remember and want to buy more pins by that same designer they can see the names on the back.

I know this is nothing special, but when I buy pins and they have a nice backing card, it does make me happy! I really love the simplicity of these backing cards. It’s sad but I do keep them and stick them into my journal. 😛

When the pin badges arrived, Jennifairy sent along with the order a sticker of the Jigglypuff pin design which I LOVE, as well as a little thank you note. Jenn is so adorable and the note really made my day! I’d been poorly when I received these and it just cheered me up so much, I was very thankful. 🙂

Overall I LOVE these pin badges so much and I can honestly see me rocking them with my Insert Coin Clothing Persona 5 jacket for quite some time now! Well at least until some very exciting pins arrive from one (if not) my favourite independent artist out there… 😛 Stay tuned for that!

I’ll pop both Jennifairy and Sour Attitude Club’s websites and social media down below so you can go and check them out!

Jennifairy – Etsy, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Sour Attitude Club – Store, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

What do you think of the Pika Sweet Cafe pins? Will you be picking either if not both designs up yourself? Let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re as ready for the weekend as I am.

Pretty Little Thing Clothing – A Rant

First of all, I’m sorry I’ve been away from my blog for a week today. You know what though? It is probably one of the first times I haven’t written sweet fuck all for my blog and not given a shit. That sounds really negative but I’m actually glad I didn’t. Instead of writing or even thinking about what to write I was chilling out with Dane playing games with some work friends and binge watching TV shows and films on Netflix.

Today’s post is one I knew I would write about as soon as I experienced the poor customer service with Pretty Little Thing. I feel bad outing them, but at the same time I don’t because the experience I had with them is something that NEEDS to be shared. I don’t want anyone else to go through the shit I have.

I want to first of all say that the issue I had/have STILL hasn’t been resolved and it has been over a week now.

I also want to say that although I have had an appalling experience with Pretty Little Thing the first time (and only time!) I shopped with them, it doesn’t mean everyone will. I’ll elaborate on this however…

I can’t remember which blogger or YouTuber I heard about Pretty Little Thing from but I had never heard anything bad about the brand before. I had a nose on their website for some stuff I could order for the holiday and I can’t remember how I did but I stumbled across some rainbow high-waisted shorts. I immediately fell in love with them but was so undecided about whether to order them or not. In the end I did as I knew they’d be great for the holiday in both the daytime and the evening, as well as for evenings out with Dane in the UK.

I decided to order a size up due to them being high-waisted and not really knowing what the sizes were like with Pretty Little Thing. On their website they were advertising about £1.00 next day delivery, which usually costs about £5.00. “Great I can get them tomorrow!” I thought to myself. There was a timer for it and I had about 5 minutes to order these shorts with the cheap next day delivery. So I add the shorts to my cart, put in all my information, the code for the offer and whatever else you do when ordering stuff online.

I payed through PayPal, fine the next day delivery offer was on there and everything, but oh wait, what’s this? It charged me for the bloody full price delivery! I found out through a sodding email from both PayPal and Pretty Little Thing.

Annoyed about how I’ve just been cheated my offer I took to Twitter to contact Pretty Little Thing about the issue. I tweeted them, I messaged them, I even did the same on their special customer service Twitter account (which hasn’t even been active for a month! :S). Have I heard back from either accounts? HAVE I FUCK.

Image taken from Pretty Little Thing official Twitter account

When you go onto the Pretty Little Things Twitter page the first thing you will see is a pink picture of them telling you how their customer service is down. This has been there since the start of August. At the time of writing this rant/post there are 55 replies to this image, including one of my own of people complaining about things. All sorts of things.

Same as me where they have been charged for something they shouldn’t have, people not receiving their parcels even though someone has “signed for them”, returns needing to be sent back but not being able to due to messages not being replied to and many more.

People have also stated how long they’ve been waiting for from one week, to almost a month. It’s pretty appalling really. I understand that they CLEARLY have some customer service issues right now, but when I had a look on Google about this obvious issue it appears to have gone on for ages now. It’s pretty bad.

It made me worry though from reading all the negative comments from shoppers about whether my shorts would even arrive! I mean I paid for next day delivery, I fucking expected it. I worried they wouldn’t arrive and if they didn’t, who would I have moaned to about it? NO ONE!

Luckily they arrived the day after and when I tried them on I was so gutted at first. They didn’t fit how I expected them to and they felt really tight. I was disappointed but I didn’t want to send them back due to the bullshit that everyone else had been through with the customer service, including what I had already been through. I sat smug and miserable for ages about it. It made me wonder if I had put on weight and feel crap. Then later on when I felt better I tried them on again and they felt better.

Every time I tried them on they felt better and still a week on they feel better every time I put them on. So I AM happy with the shorts! I really am! Even though they could be a bit baggier. I actually love this outfit that I put together with them and will probably wear stuff like this in the UK as well as possibly on holiday in the chilly evenings.

Do you know what pissed me off more though? Not the fact that I was charged more for the delivery than I expected, not even the fact that I’ve still to this day been ignored by customer service (when it clearly shows on my Twitter messages that they’ve seen my message!) BUT that they had a FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY code on their sodding Twitter page.

It has just made me feel like a complete mug and to be honest it still does. They have promotional codes all over the place for all sorts of things. I do feel like it’s a catch to get you to pay more for the delivery. I know this could just be me being annoyed about what happened, but something doesn’t add up.

Although I love the shorts I bought I definitely won’t be buying from from Pretty Little Thing ever again. Their shitty customer service and their shoddy past with it has just put me off. I work in customer service myself so I know what good service should be like. I didn’t even get an apology for the wait BECAUSE MY ISSUE STILL HASN’T BEEN DEALT WITH.

Do I care if Pretty Little Thing reads this post? Do I fuck. Read it and learn from it because you really need to sort out your shoddy customer service issues. It shouldn’t take at least 2 months to sort things out for people who have trusted to buy from you.

Good luck is all I can say.

Have you shopped with Pretty Little Thing? If so have you had issues? What sorts of issues if any? Share any rubbish customer service stories too! I love to hear about them.

I do apologise for the rant, but as a blogger I sometimes feel it’s my duty to write good reviews as well as bad ones.

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re all well!

Life Lately… A Roller Coaster!

Wow it has almost been a month since I wrote a life lately post! Just goes to show how busy I was with getting on with life that I haven’t really written a massive update.

I’ve just got back from a late shift at work and I’m sat in the living room, with Dane cooking me dinner as I binge watch YouTube videos. OH WHAT AN AMAZING LIFE I DO LEAD. END OF POST! 😛 Sadly due to being so busy the weekend and the late shift yesterday I am a day late posting this… It’s worth the wait though… I hope. xD

I joke of course, this is intended to be a long read so make sure you have a hot drink handy to cradle as you read. Or at least save this post for your work break or a long journey. I hope it is as long as I am anticipating… THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID.

The first thing I want to talk about is how I went to see cKy on Friday night and how fucking amazing they were! I’ve been listening to them since I was fourteen years old and have always wanted to see them live.

SO when I saw at the start of the year that they had announced a UK tour and a date in Birmingham, I KNEW I had to go! At first Dane wasn’t so sure as I think he imagined it would cost a fortune due to it being cKy. I knew it wouldn’t be too expensive due to the original venue so when we found out it would only cost us £15.00 each Dane was more into the idea. I was going to go all along anyway so yeah. 😛

So the morning the tickets went on sale I was at work so Dane booked them. It did sell out but the venue changed to a bigger one so that more tickets could go on sale… I assume anyway!

I swear the couple of months we waited to go to the gig really flew by and I was so excited and nervous the day of the gig. Of course I was excited to finally go and see a band I’ve been waiting to see live for over 10 years. But I was also really nervous because of various things. Due to wanting to see them play for so many years the anticipation of being able to make sure me and Dane got a good place to sit or stand was making me anxious. I also wanted to try and meet the band before or after too, which again was making me extremely nervous.

Well I needn’t have been nervous and anxious as the gig itself was amazing! Me and Dane decided to sit towards the back by the bars so that we could get a good view and sit down without being bashed around. I do regret not being near the front but at the same time I got the same sound and a great view of everything that was going on just as well.

Before the gig we picked up some merchandise from the stand. I picked up a baseball t-shirt which I cannot wait to wear! The material is lovely and soft and when I tried it on it looked awesome. Dane got himself a t-shirt too but he picked up the tour one which looks awesome! I can see me stealing it. 😛

After the gig we hung around for a bit inside the venue and picked up the support bands CD, they were amazing and the singer/bass player had a double bass AND is left handed! I’m a left handed guitar/bass player so whenever I see lefties like myself it makes me very happy. 😛

We went around the back of the O2 Academy to see if any of the band mates were around and low and behold there was Jess! My favourite member of cKy! I didn’t actually think I’d be able to meet any of the band, let alone my favourite. I went down and after allowing people before me to “have their turn” in talking to Jess, having pictures and things signed it was my turn and I was shaking with nerves. I’ve always been nervous when meeting celebrities like anyone is but I don’t ever remember feeling this nervous before. I was shaking all over and I didn’t know what to say!

Jess was lovely though and both me and Dane had a chat with him about when he last toured with cKy, how they played Download years before and even about what he was doing that night after the show. I even recommend some bars in town for him to go and drink at. It was awesome and he signed my ticket as well as having a picture with me.

I went home feeling on top of the world and the 14 year old Nat who was starting to come out of her shell was ecstatic and like nothing could get her down. That’s somewhat how I’ve felt in my 27 year old self since Saturday night… 😛

OH and you know what? The next day Chad liked a comment I left on one of the videos cKy put up on their Instagram from the gig. This just added to how happy I had felt the night before. Sorry about the obvious phone call that I print screened what Chad liked… I was on the phone to my dad at the time. 😛

That was the biggest thing I wanted to talk about in this post BUT I also want to talk about a couple of other things!

Friday I picked up a new PS4 game as I hadn’t bought myself one since Mafia 3 and Pokemon Moon. I picked up Persona 5 and it’s one I have quickly fallen in love with! I know I love Pokemon but I haven’t been able to get into Moon that much right now sadly… Persona 5 reminds me of Pokemon a little bit to be honest but with an anime element to it. I’ll be writing more about it in my monthly favourites at the start of June but I’ll pop a trailer above so you can see what it’s all about. It came out recently so it hasn’t been out that long, but it’s been out in Japan since September/October last year! :O This seemed to be sold out for a while in the UK as wherever I looked online it either wasn’t available or was only available in limited edition steel cases which cost a FORTUNE! :/

Some good news (not that there is really any bad news in this post… Well not yet anyway!) my lips are finally looking like they’re healed after 3 fucking months of hell, pain and torture! Basically I had angular cheilitis, this whole post here explains what was wrong. After that post however I had to go back to the doctors to get some more treatment as the one I was given worked, but only to fix my eczema. I was given an anti-biotic cream which has worked marvellously! Although this being said the infection did come back and I had to apply the cream again last night. So far it looks like it has healed. I’m hoping so for various reasons…

Due to how sore my lips have been I haven’t been able to wear ANY lip products bar lip balms… Yep no lipsticks at all. I have really missed not being able to wear any and to be honest due to how the infection can contaminate lip products I am now kinda too scared to wear any of my lipsticks in case the infection hasn’t gone or returns… I’m going to give it until June to wear anything else.

Image taken from weheartit.com

As many people will know lipstick is the only make up I really wear and due to this it’s my “thing” especially since I’ve dug deeper into it and experimented with it by wearing darker colours. If there’s a lipstick I really miss wearing it’s definitely got to be my MAC lipsticks, which I am craving to wear lately. I really fucking sucks.

You watch though, as soon as I start wearing my lip products again I’ll be writing ALL THE LIPSTICK POSTS! 😛

I don’t think I really made a post about this but me and Dane are going on holiday in September! YAY! We’re both super excited for it as we weren’t planning on going on holiday until we could afford to go to Japan. My parents were kind enough to offer to pay for us to go and have it as an early Christmas present. Of course we need to get our own spending money but that isn’t a problem! We have already started saving and we’re doing really well so far. EEEP SO EXCITED! By the way, we’re going to Fuerteventura again. 😛

Speaking of “holidays” me and Dane were going to book ourselves a short couple of day trip to London for our anniversary but sadly we aren’t going to now… We got super excited about all the places we would go and visit, as well as places to go shopping and have food at. The reasons for not going ahead with it are money, money and money.

Not only do we have our holiday to think about and save up for but we also have bills to think of. I have my car insurance to renew again soon and of course having our own house isn’t cheap… So yeah.

We can always go to London at the end of the year around Christmas time, or in the New Year for my birthday. 🙂

This is another bit of good news! I’ve started to be more active on my Twitter and Instagram pages which of course is good news! I was really anxious with using Instagram for my blog to be honest due to all the hashtags and well dickheads on there. 😛 Sadly due to this I won’t be putting any pictures of myself on there. The only place I do that is on my personal Instagram page, which is private. 😛

Don’t forget if you want to give me a follow on either of those accounts it’s @maybeecoffee for Twitter and @theremightbecoffeeblog for Instagram.

Finally I want to talk about what makes this life lately post a roller coaster… My mental health isn’t good right now. It’s actually gotten bad enough that I am seeking getting counselling… Again. Urgh. Also that picture by The Latest Kate is so accurate for how I feel in life right now… I just wish I could think that way when I have bad days.

This isn’t something I was expecting to have to do ever again and whilst my mental health isn’t bad in suicidal sense (although I DO feel suicidal from time to time… Yuck.) but bad in the sense my anxiety is just awful right now. I’m constantly overthinking things from work, home, friends, everything to be honest. I’ve been worse to be honest but it’s bad this time in the sense it is affecting my health. Even my doctor has told  me due to stress and anxiety my bodies immune system is down. Not good.

So yeah. The few people I have spoken to about this has all said how proud they are of me for accepting that I need to do this for myself right now. I just hope it helps to be able to talk to someone. I feel like I bug my best friend Gab (hey! *waves*) and Dane with my problems… Even though deep down I know I don’t.

I’ll be keeping you guys updated with that stuff anyway to be honest. 🙂

Other than that everything is… Weird. It’s a mixture of good and shit right now. I’m living for the good though! I’m trying to just live for the moment and have the best time I can with Dane. We both have a week off together soon so we can celebrate our anniversary. I don’t think we’ll be doing all that much other than going out for a couple of adventures, see some friends and chill out at home. 🙂

Well my coffee is now bone cold and although I like cold coffee I think that means this post is over. 😛

How have my lovely readers lives been lately? Drop me a tweet about how you’re doing, or comment down below. Either way I’m happy with! I love getting comments and tweets. They make me happy. ^_^

I hope you all enjoyed today’s read and I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Until next time take care all!

I’m Hosting My First Twitter Chat!

Oh and it is so damn exciting! AHHHH!

GirlBoss Network recently put a tweet out there on their Twitter account (obvs!) asking for people to come and host chats for them. Of course I dropped them a tweet and asked if I could take part soon if not in the future. They said in the future at the time but the next day I got a message on Twitter asking if I could host this Sunday!

I’m a mixture of excited and nervous. I’ve never hosted a Twitter chat before so I’m nervous about not doing things I should be, or that my questions will be lame. Of course I am excited to take part in a chat that I’m hosting.

I love taking part in Twitter chats, especially blog related ones. It’s lovely to be able to talk and discover new bloggers through the chats. Of late I haven’t taken part in as many chats as I used to, but I intend to change that as of this week!

So, MY Twitter chat? What’s the topic going to be I hear you all ask? Well it’s going to be geek and nerd themed, OF COURSE!!!

I’m going to try and think of some questions from tonight now that the chat topic is set in stone.

The chat will be hosted for an hour and starts at 12pm this Sunday (20/04/17) over on my Twitter account @maybeecoffee

If you’re wondering what the Twitter handle is for GirlBoss Network, it’s here @GirlBoss_Net

So yeah I thought I’d share this exciting little bit of news today instead of a usual blog post!

If you have any questions to ask about the Twitter chat I’ll be hosting then please ask away in the comments down below or over at my Twitter account (@maybeecoffee).

I hope everyone’s weeks are going well so far! Me and Dane both have a week off work to get on with some finishing touches on the house, including the garden, hanging up some pictures, blah, blah, blah. OH and whilst I was mowing this grass this afternoon it started to snow… 😛 It only went sunny AFTER it was finished. TYPICAL!!!

I’ll soon be writing a post about the artwork I have in the house, I’m so excited for that!

Would you guys like me to do a house tour next week if possible? Make sure to let me know!

Until next time take care all and have a lovely evening… Hopefully snow free! 😛
