L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Face Mask in Blemish Rescue – Review

These face masks by L’Oreal are still doing really well a year on and they recently added two new additions to the face mask range! When I heard about them on a trip to town with Dane a few weeks ago, I knew I’d need to have a look at them to see what they were all about.

As older readers will know I picked up the detox mask in August last year, not long after it came out and reviewed it on my blog, which you can read here.

The first three masks to be released were the Detox, Glow and Purity masks. Out of the three I have still only tried the Detox one and I still have to try the other ones! I was tempted to pick them all up when picking up the Blemish Rescue one, but alas I need to save money. 😛

So as I mentioned before, L’Oreal have recently released two new masks, including my new one which is Blemish Rescue and Bright.

Each mask does something different:

Purity deeply purifies and mattifies, detox cleanses and clarifies, glow brightens and exfoliates, bright evens tone and illuminates and blemish rescue clears and unclogs.

I’m a massive fan of charcoal face masks as I find they help my oily t-zone as well as fight against any blemishes I may have. SO when I heard the bright blue face mask that L’Oreal was bringing out was blemish fighting, I knew I’d be getting it.

Blemish rescue contains 3 pure clays:

Kaolin – A highly effective natural clay, known to absorb impurities and excess sebum.

Montmorillonite – Rich in minerals, a clay recognised for helping to eliminate imperfections.

Ghassoul – A pure clay highly concentrated in minerals renowned to help clarify complextion.

On the packaging for blemish rescue it states:

For the first time, the L’Oreal Paris Laboratories have selected three Pure Clays and combined them with Marine Algae extract, known for its anti-blemish properties. The creamy texture targets deep into the pores, to unclog blackheads and clear imperfections, leaving the skin pure and fresh without drying it out.

It claims that it immediately leaves skin feeling fresh, pores shrunk and blemishes reduced. After a week blackheads are unclogged and skin if mattified. Finally use after use will leave pore cleared and skin looking visibly transformed!

It tells you to use this face mask twice a week, which I’ve been doing whenever I wash my hair, so Wednesday (mid week) and Sunday (end of the week.

Like Detox the packaging is exactly the same with Blemish Rescue. The product is in a clear glass jar so that you can see the product inside. The lid is a different colour mind and instead of green which is was for Detox, it’s now white. Nothing major but I don’t know why they changed it.

As I mentioned on my review for detox I love how expensive the glass jar makes the face mask appear and it really does make a nice change to sachets and Lush’s plastic black pots. It also means you can see how much you have left after each use.

The mask itself is an awesome bright blue colour and looks almost metallic, but I think it’s just where it’s clay. I did feel like it went metallic when it dried on my face though…

You get 50ml of product and like the detox mask a little bit of this goes a hell of a long way! There’s supposed to be 10 applications in a jar but I can’t see this myself. I use my detox mask once a fortnight, I’ve owned it almost a year and yet it appears there is loads left in the packaging.

I like to pop this mask on all over my face before I jump into the bath or shower, as it makes it easier to wash off. I leave it on until it dries and then wash it off. It’s hard to tell with this mask when it’s fully dry as the colour doesn’t lighten. It’s more of a case of touching your face to see.

I stated up above how this claims to leave your skin after immediate use and I don’t know if it’s due to going to work straight after using it and rushing to get ready for work, but I didn’t notice a change straight away. A few days later I did notice that my blemishes had reduced, which is great! I also noticed that my t-zone was mattified too which is something I am forever searching for in a product.

I definitely want to try this mask on Dane’s skin due to his oily nose to see how it work with his blackheads and excess sebum.

I can’t wait to see what more use of this face mask will bring to my skin though. It’s definitely a mask for people to use with combination skin, as I didn’t find that it dried out my cheeks. That’s where the Glow or Brighten mask can be used alongside this one.

At the moment Boots have all these masks on offer at the moment for £5.99 instead of £7.99. Sadly I don’t know how long for, so if you want to grab one of the new masks to try then get one as soon as possible!

I’ll definitely be buying the other masks eventually as I want to try them all! Have you tried any of the original 3 masks, or either of the 2 new ones? If so what do you think of them? Make sure to let me know in the comments!

Until next time take care all and have a lovely weekend!

Why I’m Not Getting “Baby Fever”

Image taken from weheartit.com

This is the first time in probably ever where I can’t even come up with a title for it. Not that that’s anything important or different BUT FUCK. It’s like writing an essay for school and you can’t possibly start it until you have the witty as hell title to kick you off.

I can’t just wait though to come up with the witty title for this post. I need to just write it and get it over with and THEN I can come up with my witty and awesome as fuck title.

This isn’t my usual sort of blog post but it’s a topic I’ve wanted to write about for ages now. I’m 27, going on 28 in less than 200 days (at the time of writing this post it was 173 days…) and I’m getting old. That isn’t the problem though. Getting old is inevitable and whilst that scares me, it’s going to happen and I need to just man up and accept that.

BUT and it’s a big one, I’m getting older and due to that it’s time to start thinking about the future. Mine and Dane’s future. It’s all well and good talking about when we’ll add a fluffy baby into our lives, but it’s scary thinking about when we’ll actually decide on having a baby together.

Due to my mental health right now I often say to myself that I don’t want children, but deep down I really do. I want my own little mixture of me and Dane depending on me for love and affection and looking hella cute whilst doing it. I want a little ginger girl who I can call a cute name and have everyone go mushy over.

But I don’t want that yet. I remember when I was 17 saying to everyone how I wanted a baby in 10 years from then. So my 17 year old self wanted me at this moment in time to be carrying and getting ready to pop out a mini me. Erm sorry 17 year old self but you can piss off. 😛

I want to start a family with Dane ideally when we’re 30/29 or 31/30. My brother started his family at this age and it always looked a good age to start to me. Me and Dane have both said we won’t start a family until we’ve visited Japan, this is both one of our biggest life goals alongside having children and buying our own home. That may not seem important to a  lot of people, but it really is to us. Japan is so much to us both.

SOOOOO I’m sure you’re thinking right now, “Nat if you know you don’t want to have a baby yet then why are you stressing about it?”

Well the simple answer is because it seems to me that EVERYONE is having babies right now! Every other day I read how someone I know or know through the world of blogging is pregnant and it’s just making me think about my own future.

Will I ever be ready to have a baby? What if I’m not? Would I ending up becoming pregnant to make Dane happy and because it’s the “done” thing?

For years on and off I’ve either wanted to have a baby or I haven’t. For at least 3 years in my first relationship the thought of being pregnant made me feel physically sick and I never ever felt broody. Not even when looking at baby clothes in the Disney Store.

Now is different. It’s not a case that I don’t want a baby in the future because I can’t stand kids. It’s more I’m scared about all of the sacrifices the female body makes to carry that little baby. Your body is never the same again and neither is your life. I don’t mean to make it sound bad, because I know eventually it’s all worth it.

Due to my mental health though I worry that I would end up with post natal depression. I had that sort of feeling after buying the house for fuck sake, so how would I be after having a baby?!

I know I have at least 2-3 years to prepare myself for this big choice and decision in life but it’s scary. They say that after you have children nothing is the same again. I don’t want to worry that when me and Dane have children that “nothing will be the same” I want things to be exactly the same but just with an awesome new addition. That just makes having children sound so damn negative and it isn’t!

Going back to the broody stuff, I don’t get broody still. I never have really. I love seeing mine and Dane’s friends babies and toddlers, I love holding them and taking pictures of them for the new parents. BUT I don’t get broody!

The only thing I seem to get broody for is the next lot of Pokemon merchandise I can buy, or the newest Nendoroid.

I am officially broody over geeky and Japanese things. What the fuck?! 😛

Toddler Nat, look at them gnashers! 😛

Toddler Dane, look at that ginger hair! 😛

If I do get broody IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM it’ll be about cute baby pieces in the Disney Store or imagining how cute mine and Dane’s baby would look.

Another way I get broody is thinking about how I would tell everyone that I’m pregnant. I’d want to do something unique and different instead of the traditional scan picture and “OH MY GOD I’M PREGNANT!”

If there is any age of a baby that does make me broody though, it’s the toddler age where they’re starting to get chubby and cute.

Ha I just came up with the title for this post. Does that mean it’s over? Possibly.

I do apologise for such a different post from usual but it’s something I have wanted to write about for a while and get it off of my chest. It’s a topic that I think about a lot right now, at least twice a day. Does this mean I want a baby? I hope not… Not right now anyway! 😛

ALSO to clarify I have NOTHING against anyone I know who is pregnant and expecting right now. If anything I am excited for all of those people. Just it isn’t for me right now.

What are your thoughts on the future and having babies? Have or are you feeling the same as I am right now? Please let me know in the comments!

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’re all having a great week.

Best Friend Tag!

I’ve been a bit quiet the past which, which I apologise for hundreds of millions of times! My reason for it is just because I’ve been too busy and tired after work and just wanted a bit of a break from blogging.

BUT I AM BACK and with a tag that I couldn’t wait to put up on my blog for you guys to read. I don’t know if I speak for many but I LOVE reading posts from bloggers that enable you to get to know more about the person behind the blog. I also love being able to find out more about them through their friends through posts and tags like this one.

Sadly I can’t remember the blogger who I found this tag through and when I tried to locate her blog my computer decided that it was a massive virus and blocked her blog. Oh dear. >.<

But yeah I wanted to do this tag to show all my bloggers what an amazing bestie I have and how much I love her! So we answered the questions to the tag via Facebook messenger and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. 😛

So I hope you enjoy this tag!

1. How and when did you meet?
Gabriella: On a forum in late 2008/early 2009. We used to talk on MSN, which shows how long we’ve been friends!
Nat: As Gabriella said we met on a forum that we do not name! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years next year! :O

2. What’s your favourite memory together?
G: That’s a tough one. I’d say meeting Benedict Cumberbatch together.
N: I’d probably say that day as well! I remember that evening so well, it was amazing.

3. Describe each other in one word.
G: Passionate.
N: Intelligent.

From back in 2010 when MSN was still happening!

4. What’s her dream job?
G: Something to do with acting or writing 🙂
N: A psychology teacher, Japanese translator/Japanese teacher or even acting or singing. ^_^

5. What’s her favourite makeup brand?
G: Oh god. Now that’s a tough one. I don’t think she has an ultimate favourite. She likes a lot of different brands.
N: Ooo I don’t know to be perfectly honest with you… I want to say Barry M but I put this down to her recently staying over and us looking at the Barry M goodies. 😛 Although I own a beauty blog, we rarely talk about make up haha!

6. What is something that annoys you about the other person?
G: I don’t think anything does really? I wish she’d have more confidence in herself, but I don’t consider that an annoyance.
N: To be honest that she doesn’t live closer because I miss her face all the time. Otherwise she’s perfect to me just the way she is!

7. If you could go anywhere in the world together, where would it be?
G: Japan! Preferably when we could see the sakura blossoms bloom.
N: Gabriella has already said it! Apart from Dane if there is one person I REALLY want to go to Japan with its Gabriella. I also want to go and see the sakura… I think we both need to plan something like this in the future…

Our last picture together, this was from Gabriella’s birthday last year! We are long overdue a new one. 😛

8. Favourite inside joke?
G: Ben and Tommy Cream Pie ice cream. XD
N: HAHAHA oh man I remember when we both thought of that! 😛 Oh man inside jokes… Anything rude and to do with men we fangirl over! Don’t think we can top Ben and Tommy Cream Pie ice cream though! I legit didn’t try and make a picture of that. 😛

9. Who takes longer to get ready in the morning?
G: Natalee definitely.
N: Yeah I always take ages to get ready.

10. Favourite season?
G: Summer, maybe?
N: Autumn for me. I love getting ready for Halloween and Bonfire night. September is my favourite month because of it. I’d like to say autumn or winter for Gab.

11. Favourite song?
G: I don’t actually know. We rarely discuss music.
N: Yeah we’ve never really discussed music much. I’d like to guess something by MCR though. I could be wrong…

Taken from the day we met Benedict Cumberbatch!

12. What is it like being best friends with someone who is obsessed with blogging?
G: I’m all for her having hobbies, especially ones that encourage creativity, and doing something she obviously enjoys so much.
N: Thank you sweetie! I love asking you to write for my blog too as I love having you be a part of something I love doing so much. 🙂

13. Heels or flats?
G: Flats!
N: FLATS! I do own heels and boots but I only ever wore them in my room as I was too scared to wear them out. I remember when we went to see Benedict Cumberbatch Gab wore heeled boots and I was all, “GIRL WHAT ARE THOSE ON YOUR FEET?!” Usually she wore Converse or Vans so I felt like I was witnessing a younger sister all grown up and going to the ball. 😛

14. Comedy, horror, or chick-flick?
G: I’d say comedy.
N: It depends I like a bit of everything. I love my drama films though, especially UK based ones.

15. What is something weird that she eats?
G: Marmite. It’s just gross.
N: Apart from Marmite Gab eats a lot of the same stuff as I do. I can’t think of anything to be honest.

Our first picture together! This was probably from back in 2011/2012!

16. You guys have anything matching?
G: I think we have a matching John Watson jumper? Other than that, I don’t think so.
N: You know what? I was thinking about that John Watson jumper the other day and how much I loved wearing it in the winter! With the brown elbow patches. 😛 I think we probably own some matching Primark/Asda pyjamas too but that’s about it. We need more matching clothes. Yuri on Ice maybe? 😉

So that’s the best friend tag! I had so much fun doing this post with Gabriella! I guess it’s a shame there wasn’t more questions for us to both answer really. I may create another one myself like this in the future to do a year from today? What do you guys think?

So who do I tag to do this post? EVERYONE AS USUAL! I’ll be tagging people via Twitter so keep your eyes peeled for those mentions. 😉

Until next time, take care all and I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend.

Artists I Can’t Stop Listening To This Summer

I remember many moons ago and after researching it’s actually been 4 years on Wednesday! Wow! You can read that post here, it’s actually about what albums I was l listening to that summer.

This post is going to be very similar but instead of listening an amount of albums I’ll be listening to it’ll be a mixture of that, singles and all around artists I can’t get enough of this year.

I always  listen to my music on the way to and from work, but lately I’ve been listening to my music loads, especially when doing blog work.

Considering how long it has been since I last wrote a post like this I think this one is long overdue! I’ll be talking about all sorts of genres here as well… Well I’ll try to anyway! 😛

Nirvana – Miscellaneous

If there is a band I have always loved it has been Nirvana, BUT I have really fallen in love with them since moving into the house and for a while just binge listened to them. I still find myself doing this now, especially when I finish work for the weekend. I end up blasting these wherever I go! It’s more so Nevermind that I listen to than anything. The start of this album is always one that gets me in the “party” mood without there even being a part in the first place. 😛

Rammstein – “Du Hast”

If there is one Rammstein song that I’ll listen to it’ll be this oldie but goldie. This is a song I always go back to when I want a heavy metal song to listen to on  my way home from work. Me and Dane also have a fond moment from this song a couple of summers ago. We were coming back from the Lake District and stuck in some pretty shitty traffic. A car near us was playing some fugly music (no I shouldn’t judge other peoples music tastes… But I will… :P) and they kept turning it up louder and louder, so I put “Du Hast” on, turned it up loud and watched them turn their shit down. We laughed about it loads afterwards. 😛

The Real McKenzies – “Sailor Man”

The reason this song is here is 1. because it’s fucking amazing and 2. because it plays straight after “Du Hast” on my iPod and it work so damn well! You know when you’re out in a club and the DJ just combines and makes two songs flow really well one after the other? Yeah, THAT! I’m my own personal DJ! 😛 Other than that this song is a cover of Turbonegro’s song and it’s so much better than the original, which in turn makes me happy! It’s thanks to Bam Margera that I discovered this song… As well as a lot of my other music on my iPod. 😛 That is also one of the reasons why I have Johnny Knoxville dressed as an old man dancing above this. 😉

Metallica – Miscellaneous

I don’t know why but I find myself listening to the small collection of Metallica songs I have on my iPod loads at the moment! A part of me blames my friend Lee as since him and Dane had their jamming session about a month back this is when I started listening to them again. I don’t know what my favourite song by them is, as I love so many! To name three it would have to be “Enter Sandman”, “Whiskey In The Jar” and “The Unforgiven II”. “Enter Sandman” is definitely my favourite of the three however and I love to sing it whenever I have it on. Of course I had to attach the clip from Jimmy Fallon where the guys played it on toy instruments. Such an awesome moment.

Metronomy – “The Look”

This song is kinda old now but one I always love putting on and listening to. It’s a classic summer staple for my playlists in the car and is one I love listening to both to and from work, as well as when I’m out running errands. It’s a very 80’s sounding song to me due to the way the keyboards are played. It’s classed as a mixture of pop and indie and some are calling them indietronica which is a new genre to me. 😛 Either way I love this song!

Clean Bandit – “Rather Be” Feat. Jess Glynne

This song actually reminds me of winter if anything but it’s one I can listen to whenever really. Sadly sometimes it does just remind me of M&S thanks to the adverts using it for quite a while. This is an old song though to be honest and one although I don’t find myself listening to as much, it’s on a couple of chillout CD’s I keep in my car for if my iPod dies, so I listen to this on car journeys quite a bit.

Ivy & Gold – “Lullaby” The Cure cover

I remember when I was younger not being a fan of The Cure at all and I mostly blame this on being in class with someone who was OBSESSED with them. It kinda put me off. When I worked at Costa though they played The Cure quite a lot and I ended up falling in love with some of their songs, including “Lullaby” and “Close To Me”. As I tend to do, I looked for a cover of some of their songs and found this gem, which I actually like more than the original. It’s by Ivy & Gold who (as far as I’m aware) aren’t that well-known. I started listening to this song again and I forgot just how much I love it. You’ll have to YouTube search it if you want to have a listen yourself.

The Bloodhound Gang – EVERYTHING!!!

Oh man I can’t even talk about this band enough. They’re one of my favourites and for so many fucking reasons. Their latest album is probably my favourite one and it’s the one I find myself listening to the most alongside their greatest hits. Their songs aren’t anything special but the lyrics are so fucking funny and dark and offensive and because of that I love them. Like most the first song I heard from them was “The Bad Touch” and that was through a dancing game my cousin owned. I remember we called it the waffle song… If you don’t get why then you need to go and Google the lyrics RIGHT NOW. One of my favourite songs has to be “Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo” just because it was one of the first songs I REALLY heard knowing who it was actually by. After hearing this song I then discovered who the waffle song was by and what it was actually about. 😛

Klaypex – “Chinter’s Will” Feat. Sara Kay

This is an old song on my iPod and one I actually forgot that I had! It’s the kind of song I would edit onto some snowboarding footage as it just sounds like the sort of music Deadmau5 would bring out. The singer Sara Kay who features on the track has a lovely singing voice too! For a drum and bass style song this is somewhat relaxing to listen to.

Knife Party – Mix Tapes

I’ve loved Knife Party since they came out in 2011 and have followed their music since then. If you don’t know WHO they are then do you remember Pendulum? Well it’s them guys but behind a new name and with much better music! Although I love the singles they’ve released, I love their mix tapes more as I love hearing all sorts of music mashed with those singles. I remember when their first mix tape came out from when they played in Miami. It’s still my favourite tape yet! Their mix tapes are perfect to play at parties and when out in the garden. I played loads of Knife Party in 2015 when I went to Fuerteventura and I’m sure I’ll do the same again in a few months..

Image taken from giphy.com

 Savant – Vario

This is an artist and album that Dane introduced me to when we first met and since then it’s definitely an album I listen to throughout the summer months. Again it’ll be one I play when we’re in Fuerteventura. Savant is an electronic artist and his music reminds me of chiptune a little due to the sort of game play sounding elements throughout his songs, on Vario anyway! I would love to see him play live as I can just imagine what a buzz everyone would get whilst certain songs play, such as “Splinter”, “Living iPod” and “Burgertime”. I can just imagine these sorts of songs (again!) going really well on snowboarding videos. If you think you’ll like the sound of some of his stuff then go and give him a listen, as his music is amazing. It’s nothing like what is out there right now.

With that I have come to the end of this  list as otherwise I will go on forever! There are so many of my favourite artists that I didn’t even mention, such as Evanescence, The Pretty Reckless, cKy, Daft Punk, Limp Bizkit, Queens of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters, etc. BUT I don’t think bands like that need mentioning here. 😉

What music do you like listening to throughout the summer? Are there certain artists or genres? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend!

Currently #10

It’s July and it has also been WAY TOO LONG since I last wrote a currently list! List number 9 was way back in March. It honestly feels like yesterday when I was writing that one which I’ll also link here if you want to go and check it out! 😀

Due to the minor issues that have come up on my blog with Photobucket (which I wrote about recently here) not allowing my images to show anymore (IN MY HEAD IT’S ACTUALLY A FUCKING CAR CRASH AND I’M BURNING…) I’m trying to quickly get a blog post out there for you awesome lot!

It’s my day off and I could easily say I have done sod all, but I’ve actually done LOADS of housework and had to pop out with Dane this afternoon to run some errands and get the McFlurry that I’ve been craving for God knows how long (FYI before anymore suggests, no I am not pregnant. I’m just a fat bitch and love ice cream. :P) so that was pretty awesome, especially considering how hot it is today.

So now after playing Persona 5 for a couple of hours and cooking me and Dane dinner I’m now sat at the computer with every window open, my headphones on and my random playlist of music on.

Let’s get on with currently number 10! 😀

Watching – I can’t honestly say I’ve watched anything major recently. Me and Dane finished RuPaul’s Drag Race season 9 and my girl Sasha Velour won, which I was so damn happy and proud of! She definitely did the best throughout the competition in my opinion so I’m just so chuffed. Me and my best friend Gabriella have already said we’ll be going to see her live when she comes to the UK. Oh man I cannot wait for that day! We also finished watching Attack on Titan season 2 and it was fucking amazing! I didn’t feel bored at all throughout and if anything was on the edge of my seat after every single episode. Dane is up to date on the manga series at the moment which is quite far ahead of the anime, so after every episode ended I would turn to him and ask him to explain what’s going on and what will happen next. I won’t talk too much about it as I know whilst a lot of UK fans have watched it, I also know some who read my blog and haven’t. I don’t want to spoil any of it for you lovely lot, just hurry up and watch it already! 😉

Image taken from Netflix

A show we did binge watch last month however was GLOW, which is a Netflix exclusive show created by the same people at Orange is The New Black, which we also binge watched last month and for your information, Piper still annoys the fuck out of me. ANYWAY! GLOW is about the Glamorous Women of Wresting and is set in the 80’s. From looking for a gif for this post I discovered that this was an ACTUAL thing in the 80’s, which I think is pretty cool! At first I wasn’t sure if I would like the show as the trailer didn’t really do it any justice after watching. I also worried I would dislike the main character Ruth. She’s an aspiring actress who can’t seem to get a break and a role that she so badly wants. That is until she joins GLOW. Some other stuff happens along the show and it just makes the show great! My favourite character by far is Sam, who is the director of GLOW. He’s got a sarcastic and dry sense of humour which I love so damn much. At times I just wanted to reach into the screen and pat him on the back… and maybe a cuddle. They’ve already announced a season 2 by the looks of it and judging by how season 1 ended it needs to have another season! I cannot wait to be honest as I already know it’ll be amazing. I already miss all the characters.

Reading – I’ve really not been reading as much as I used to and instead have replaced that with playing Persona 5 and focusing loads of my blog. This is also mainly due to manga series I’m reading being finished or having to wait for new volumes to come out. I did however recently buy Your Name (Kimi no Na wa in Japanese) manga, to coincide with the anime movie with the same name. I finished the first volume recently and it is amazing! I’m really excited to read the rest as they have added a little more to the manga than they did in the anime. I also recently bought volume 3 of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. I really love the manga as again, it is telling  more of a story than the anime did. Volume 3 also appears to introduce a new dragon that watchers of the anime won’t have seen yet! Other than that, that is all I have read recently. I still have K-ON! to read but I want to save those for my holiday. I can’t see this happening however. 😛

Listening – I haven’t really listened to any new albums lately, not even the new cKy album, which I have shocked myself with! Sadly I just haven’t felt like I’ve had time to sit down and properly listen to it. I might however get Dane to download it tomorrow if not over the weekend for us to listen to together after I finish work over the weekend.

I have found myself listening to loads of anime and game music however, which I’m loving! One of the opening songs from Gintama has stuck in my head and I love it so much! There is a full version of this song but I thought I’d just show the one from the actual opening. This is an anime Dane has been watching so when I heard this song I instantly fell in love with the chorus. It’s just so damn catchy and sounds so positive. Also as weeabo as this sounds, Gintama is a little itty bitty titty hot. xD

Otherwise any other music I’ve been listening to lately has been a mixture of Nirvana, Daft Punk and random bits and pieces on both my YouTube account and on my iPod.

Eating – Mmm food huh? I haven’t really been eating properly lately due to my mental health acting up. I find if anything I’ve not eaten anything special and just binging on carbs, but that’s the norm for me! 😛 Me and Dane have eaten less takeaways lately which is great of course! 😛

Me and Dane did recently visit an amazing milkshake and waffle place with our friends Lee and Sam and it was amazing. I went for a Ferraro Roche waffle and surprisingly I ate it all! Me and Dane also shared a Nutella milkshake actually out of a Nutella jar, which had a brownie on the top! It was really nice but a little too sugary for myself. Otherwise it was great and I can see us all going there again in the future.

Wearing – God it’s been so damn hot that I feel like I’ve hardly been wearing anything! Been living in dresses and my short pyjamas pretty much. I bought a couple of Pokemon pairs from Primark recently and I still wear them to death and wear them loads. I’ve also been wearing the cKy baseball tee I bought at their gig to death! I love it so much and a part of me can see me taking it on holiday to wear to chill out in in the day and evenings. I also bought myself a Pikachu dress recently and I’ve only worn it once so far but I intend to wear it again very soon. For how much I paid for it it’s so damn comfortable and makes me feel great when I wear it.

Wanting – Oh what don’t I want? To win loads of money on a scratch card, to have more holiday time from work so I can do stuff to the house and speaking of the house new windows! A holiday to Japan is also another thing I desperately want right now. There’s all sorts I want though to be honest. I’ve fallen in love with a few pieces from the VANS x Peanuts collection, as well as some Killstar dresses. OH and don’t even get me started on some of the latest Nendoroid releases that both me and Dane want. It’s all just money though at the moment. Right now though all I want is a break. A break from my anxiety as my head is on and off a mess right now and it pisses me off something awful. 😦

Wow so that was my currently number 10! I love that I’ve written that many over the past couple of years now and it makes me so happy. I’m not going to stop here though, I’ll continue writing these as I really love to be able to keep you guys up to date on things I’m currently loving.

Of course I would love to hear what things you’re currently loving. Make sure to let me know in the comments tomorrow if not over at my Twitter page @maybeecoffee

Until next time take care all, I hope you’re having a great week so far. Not long not and it’ll be the weekend!

July Wish List ’17

Wow we’re not on month seven of the year! Officially over half way through now. Two months left until my holiday and hopefully more hot weather will be upon us too. It’s been gorgeous lately and I don’t want it to end… Well apart from at night when I want to sleep.

Speaking of my holiday I recently wrote a holiday wish list and I hate writing wish lists close together, but this one will be different… It’ll have a bit of everything on it. This being said I am on a spending ban for the holiday. I need to save up monies for it, otherwise I’ll have next to sod all to take with me!

This wish list was actually really hard to put together to be honest as whilst I often say, “OMG I WANT THIS! OMG I WANT THAT!” more often than not it’s not something I want that badly.

I have tried really hard with this list though and I hope you appreciate it. 😉

EDIT: I ended up searching Etsy and Redbubble for some ideas based on Persona 5, so yeah there’s lots of that stuff here! 😛 FUCK YOU REDBUBBLE! 😛

  • Kat Von D Beauty ‘Rock Candy Studded Kiss’ Lipstick Gift Set – £34.00 (link)

I have been eyeing up this lipstick gift set since it was released in April in America. It’s only recently come out in the UK, exclusively at Debenhams of course. They’re little miniature sizes of the studded kiss lipstick AND they’re limited edition colours. COME ON KAT MAKE THESE PERMANENT SHADES! You get six shades in here and all of them are my types of lip colours! From purples to pinks, there’s a shade in here for every occasion for me. I nearly ordered this last week but left it due to lack of funds. I am so damn tempted to order it though considering it’s limited edition. I think it’s a great price as well, even for miniatures. I’m already planning on at least getting them to take on holiday with me, as these are all the shades I would need, AND THEY’RE SMALL!

  • JennifairyW Cute Chubby Pokemon Espeon Charm – £4.00 (link)

I’m a massive fan of JennifairyW’s work as it’s just kawaii and cute! I’ve had my eye on all her Eeveelution charms for a while now but if I had to pick one it would be Espeon. I’d keep it on my car keys, maybe even eventually buy all of them to keep on my Pokemon handbag I recently bought (you can check that out here!). Either way check out her Etsy page, because her artwork is so damn adorable!

  • Persona 5 Joker Hardcover Journal by ClearClarity on Redbubble – £12.00 (link)

I am in love with Persona 5, like so damn much right now and it’s kinda creepy. I mean it’s not a bad thing to love something, but I haven’t fallen in love with something so much since Pokemon. So much so I went in search on Redbubble for some goodies I could get myself in the future. I stumbled across the artist/seller ClearClarity and their Persona 5 character artwork is beautiful and definitely the best I have seen to date. I want to buy EVERYTHING and display it in the house! My favourite character is Joker, who you play in the game. I have a little crush on him too! :’) BUT I wouldn’t mind getting a journal for Fuerteventura, or at least another one to go with my Cath Kidson 101 Dalmatians journal. I’ll definitely be getting this at some point before the holiday.

  • The Body Shop Precision Eye Massager – £8.00 (link)

I have the twin-ball facial massager by The Body Shop and it’s amazing! Although I bought it a year ago I’ve only recently been using it more than ever. I’ve been using it on my eyes too after using my eye gel to cool my eyes down and de-puff them. NOW The Body Shop has created a tool similar to this but specifically for the eyes, which is great! I want to get it when I get paid as I love using things like this on my eyes, especially with a cooling eye gel. I know Dane likes this too so he can’t complain about me spending my money on it. 😛

  • Persona 5 Morgana A-Line Dress by Kaluma on Redbubble – £45.00 (link)

This is pretty expensive for what it is and whilst I wouldn’t even pay this price for a Black Milk Clothing dress, I do love how unique this dress is and the design. AGAIN it’s Persona 5 related but this time it’s Morgana, the cat sidekick to Joker and the rest of The Phantom Thieves. I love how there’s a little Joker on Morgana’s head, so cute! I doubt I would buy this to be honest due to how expensive it is, but if I had some spare cash and I fancied treating myself, this would be in the cart! This would especially be nice to wear on hot days and holidays with some sandals.

  • Plushishop Pinky & Blue Mew Pokemon Notepads – £8.13 (link)

I love notebooks, pads and journals so much and I have a small collection of them in the office. Most of them I save for “special” but most I also use to write random notes in for my blog and lists of things me and Dane need to do or buy. I would love one of these notepads to leave in my handbag to jot notes down, especially when I get blog ideas and want to write them down! Out of the four I found the Mew themed one to be the cutest, especially considering the designer also included the blue Mew, how cute! 😀

  • Persona 5 Joker Art Print by ClearClarity on Redbubble – £10.91-£33.18 (link)

Me and Dane REALLY DON’T NEED anymore art prints for the house, as we can’t even decide where we want the ones we’ve owned for a year! Oh dear… >.< BUT I can’t resist the Joker print that ClearClarity has for sale… And to be perfectly honest I don’t know if I can resist the others either! I would love to get this to put up in the office. I’d love to have it in the living room but I don’t know if me and Dane would be able to mutually agree with that. I’d want to get the small prints and pop them all in one frame to create a sort of collage. We shall see what happens!

So those were my wish list items for July! It was incredibly hard for me to think of anything apart from the Kat Von D lipsticks and The Body Shop eye massager. I’m quite pleased I went and researched Persona 5 items on Redbubble mind, as I have discovered an amazing artist who I’m sure I’ll be buying from soon!

What items do you have on your wish lists this month? Make sure to let me know in the comments.

Until next time take care all and I hope you had a lovely weekend!

June Favourites ’17

It is now July and month seven of the year! 2017 is going by so quickly and whilst a part of me is somewhat glad about that, it’s also always creepy when we edge into another month. Soon it’ll be August bank holiday, then holiday and autumn, then Halloween and bonfire night, and then Christmas and New Year. Fuck. Stop time just for a bit. 😛

I loved all my favourites from last month as I discovered some new beauty products and was reminded how good some oldies are too. So I hope you enjoy this months favourites post. ^_^

  • Imperial Leather Foamy Banana Hand Wash.

I’ve been eyeing up this hand wash for ages, but never bought it as me and Dane have had LOADS of hand washes to get through. Then towards the end of the month I was able to pick up a couple of these in Poundland. They smell amazing, just like the shower cream and bubble bath. So far since me using it my eczema hasn’t disliked it, so I’m hoping and keeping fingers crossed that I’ll be okay with it! If so I’ll be buying this and using it as our regular hand wash for as long as possible. 😛

  • Nivea Blueberry Blush Lip Butter.

I picked this lip butter up randomly when on an alcohol run before going to a friends BBQ. I’d forgotten my tin of Vaseline in the house and I KNEW I would need something for my lips. I’ve mentioned a few times this past week that my lips are still playing up on and off so I need constant moisture to keep my lips soft and from splitting again. This lip butter is amazing! I love blueberry scented things so this smells divine, but it’s also a thick lip butter which actually feels like it’s working. I have it for around the house as well as for in my handbag when I want something thick on my lips. I recommend these though if you’re not a fan of Vaseline and want to try something different.

  • L’Oreal Paris Hydra Genius Liquid Care in Normal To Combination.

I recently reviewed this (which you can read here) and I love it so much! June has been a pretty hot month and we had some of the hottest days of the year during the month. This liquid moisturiser was wonderful to use towards the end of the month and really is something that had to feature on here! It’s also helped my skin quite a bit with my oily t-zone. Can’t complain about that at all! 😛

  • MUA Luxe Inked Lip Stain in Sangria.

This is a lip stain I bought months ago but hardly used, until recently. I tried blending this with the shade Dewberry to create blended look with my lipstick. Not only did it look great when I applied it but it lasted ages too, which I was really happy with! It’s so comfortable to wear especially in the warm weather. My only issue with it is it smells and tastes disgusting! >.<

  • The Body Shop Oils of Life Twin-Ball Facial Massager.

This is a product I bought over a year ago and one I had hardly used until recently. With the warmer weather I thought it would be nice to use this massager on my skin after my serum and moisturiser. This has especially worked well teamed up with hydra genius! Due to the metal balls it feels lovely and cooling on the skin which I love the most about it. I don’t know if I’ve noticed any differences in my skin  by using it yet however. I also use this under my eyes after applying my eye gel to help with my eye bags. The Body Shop have in fact released one specifically for the eye area so I’ll be buying that one very soon!

So now my beauty favourites are done, time to talk about the miscellaneous favourites of the month!

Favourite TV Show – RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9.

Oh my God what a season this one has been! It’s definitely been one of my favourites for a long time and that is just purely down to Sasha Velour, who in turn has become my favourite drag queen. At the time of writing this (21st June AKA 2 days before the final!) I am really rooting for her to win this season. She fucking deserves it to be honest. She’s funny, unique, beautiful and not to mention down to earth and not fucking fake. I hate fake queens so damn much!

EDIT: HOLY FUCKING SHIT MY GIRL WON! I am so damn happy that Sasha won season 9! She’s the only queen who wasn’t in the bottom two throughout the competition and I only realised that whilst watching it. That shit she pulled with the rose petals. Fuck yes my lady!!! I have to add that I also loved Peppermint’s performance too and I’m very glad that she came second! I’ve already said that as soon as Sasha Velour announces doing some dates in the UK I WILL be going! 😀

Favourite Film – Split.

After 5 months of saying we would watch it, me and Dane FINALLY watched Split and let me tell you, I loved it. I wanted more from James McAvoy’s character as I loved him so much. He’s also one of my favourite actors and has been since the start of his career when he played Steve in Shameless (the UK one of course, not the shitty American version!). I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about this film and how some people loved it and some hated it. I honestly can understand why people didn’t like it, but I felt it worked really well and the twist at the end was pretty awesome. It’s very mental health related and that’s something you find out at the end which is really interesting. It just worked so damn well and McAvoy’s acting was fucking perfect.

Favourite Book – Erm…

I’m not going to lie. I haven;t been reading fuck all this month. I keep meaning to take Bridget Jones Mad About the Boy to work but I always forget. That and I feel like I hardly get any time to even read a decent amount. I have ordered some manga recently so I’m sure I’ll be reading that soon. ^_^

Favourite Song – Persona 5 OST – Behind The Mask (Instrumental).

I feel like I do nothing but talk about this game and erm why the fuck shouldn’t I? IT’S AMAZING! I am legit spending my day off tomorrow by playing this and doing housework. That is so sad. 😛 ANYWAY! The soundtrack from this game is an actual God send for me and I’m fully addicted to it. I need to download it as I want it to listen to whilst on holiday. I’ve found in the past that it’s really good to listen to whilst doing blog work as it’s really interesting. If you love jazz music, you’ll love this album. There is also a version of the song with lyrics/singing but I prefer the instrumental version.

Favourite Game – Pokemon Magikarp Jump.

I so desperately wanted to talk about Persona 5 again, but I can’t possibly. I spoke about it last month. 😛 BUT I have been loving this iPhone game! It’s an official Pokemon game and has been out about a month now. You basically train your Magikarp to jump as high as possible so that it can compete against other Magikarp! It’s kind of addicting and I often play it on my lunch break at work. I know a lot of people who have given it a go and got very bored of it, often deleting it. I love it though! What I find is the best thing about it? You don’t need to be on a wifi nextwork or 3G/4G to play it. WIN WIN!

So those are my favourites from last month. What products were you loving? Make sure to let me know in the comments down below!

Until next time take care all and have a lovely weekend.
